2 a.m.
Lizzie McGuire.
And I'm like...
A wild batch you were with.
It was like a first closet moment from me where I was like...
You're like, I'd...
don't feel like she's hot, like the rest of them.
No, no, no. I was like, she's beautiful.
But I'm appreciating her in a different way than these boys are.
I'm not like, but listen to Los Coleristas on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or whatever you get your podcast.
This is Julian Edelman, host of games with names.
On our latest episode, we got comedian, Blake Anderson from Workaholics and the hilarious.
This is Important Podcast.
Let's go.
We did beat them in improv.
You had an improv against the team?
Yes.
we would pull up their schools would be there with signs for us.
It's competition.
What you would win is a bottle of gold slager.
James Fester threw it out of a van because he didn't want us drinking it.
For more games with names, visit the Iheart Radio app or wherever you get your podcast.
Wake up, you wake up in the morning.
And then you turn the radio on and the dial just keeps on turn.
Then get here.
I'm going to Steve Red out
It's trying to put you through
Mike is right in this week's next bit
Now Bobby's on the mic
So you know what this is it
This is the Bobby Vaugham store
I did something yesterday
That I've never done in my entire life
I did not do it on purpose
But I got to work yesterday
And something wasn't right
And I started to get this little bitty headache
And that little bitty headache
kept getting worse and worse
When my vision started to be blurred
By the time I got home, my vision was blurring.
It's fine driving.
I was like, man, something's not right.
And my vision is not good anyway, so I deal with bad vision all the time.
I get home and my head starts to kill me.
And I leave work as soon as I can walk out the door, which rarely happens.
And I was like, I'm out.
So I go home and I sit on the floor next to a chair and I pass off for three hours.
Like you sleep?
Like a nap?
I don't remember what happened.
All I know is my phone is blowing up.
I'm messed up.
meeting.
That doesn't happen.
Never.
And not only that, I had a meeting with the NFL.
Oh, okay.
So I missed my first ever meeting.
Ever.
And I had a meeting with the NFL.
My phone is blowing.
I'm like, you know when you wake up and you don't know what time it is or if it's daylight or dark?
Yeah.
Because I have weird sleeping hours.
We have blackout curtains.
I didn't know where I was.
I'm on the floor.
My head's on a chair.
Three hours I'm out.
and it was like
1.30. So I was like
is it 1.30 in the morning or is it
1.30 in the day? My wife comes in
is like, are you okay? I'm like
I think why. She goes,
everybody started calling me. I thought you were dead.
They said you missed him eating. I couldn't get a hold of you. Find my iPhone.
For some reason, find my iPhone wasn't working.
So as my stepdad
Arkansas Keith would say yesterday was a piss poor day.
I just felt terrible all day and I feel like I've shaken most of it.
But I wasn't, like, sick, like, blah.
Yeah, I mean, I'm concerned.
Like, I'm curious about the meeting and what that is all about.
Well, thanks for asking.
Don't miss more things, but.
Oh, not the meeting.
I'm curious about that.
I've never once missed a meeting.
I've gone through it.
I'm more concerned about your health or what caused that or what's happening.
And do you have a doctor's appointment?
No, I'm raw dog in this thing.
Okay, that sounds smart.
Awesome.
Well, it looks better today, right?
I mean, yeah.
Look at me.
You were like, you're like, oh, my head.
Like under your breath, I don't even know if you knew you were saying it out loud, really,
because I could just hear you be like, oh, my head.
It was like a weird headache too where, you know if you see like in a cartoon,
somebody's running from far away and they slowly run up on you?
That's what I felt like with a headache.
Not a normal headache.
It was like, huh, look at that.
Oh, here comes.
Just like a hint of a headache in the way.
And fuck buddies coming through the tunnel right at me.
And then my vision got blurred out.
I was out.
So I didn't do crap yesterday.
Set around the house.
I was going to work out.
No.
I know, I know.
My wife was like, why are you going to work out?
You can barely stand up.
And I was like, I know.
She goes, if you're just working out to check a box, don't work out to check a box.
And so I worked on the show and I played some NCAA football and that was it.
Didn't have very good day.
But what I'm told is you guys have brought some stories that made me feel better.
Do you have those?
Yeah.
I mean, we just heard it was a bad day and we thought, well, there's got to be some news out there that could brighten your day.
Here's the worst part.
I couldn't find my car yesterday in the parking lot.
now you may wonder the parking lot is small and you have your own space it wasn't in the space
scuba had taken it to shoot social media and i'm dying and i walk out my car is not there
and he's like we're coming around the car i'm standing on the street like begging for my car to show up
i'm dying on the inside bit by bit and here comes scuba and lunchwalk driving up in my car in my hunday
and i was like guys i got to go so it's a rough one well so he didn't even let us pull back in the
garage he was like no i was like just park it right down the street we're like i got to go
So after we make you feel better with our stories,
are you going to be able to tell us what happened with the NFL
or is that going to bring you back down?
I missed a meeting.
But you don't even know what it was it about?
Can you talk about it?
Why would you have a meeting with the NFL?
Exactly.
I didn't said it.
I think they wanted to offer me a job playing a quarterback or something.
They heard I've been training.
Okay.
That's what I was curious about.
Okay.
What do you have for me?
Let me hear something.
Make me feel good.
Mine's actually all about your gift,
and I want to make sure that you realize.
Like your gift.
You get me a gift?
Being left-handed.
Got it.
And like the many things, which it's interesting you had a meeting with the NFL because I saw that left-handed people tend to be far more athletic.
And I know you've been working on your athletic ability, working with pro athletes, shooting all these sports events.
And so just wanted to throw that out there.
But that's not even the main thing.
You're more creative.
You're more athletic.
You face life challenges better.
But the big one that stood out to me is I just want to let you know that you have better mental flexibility.
and you can adapt to new situations.
So if you have a new you coming your way
with whatever this is,
you're passing out, you're going to adapt.
You're going to persevere.
Maybe I shed whatever that brain skin was.
That was the difficult part.
Well, all I know is it says here that you're able to...
I feel like that's a horoscope.
I appreciate that.
It's not a horoscope.
But you can say that about anybody.
No, I looked it up.
It's like scientific research
on like a million left-handed people or something.
Nice.
Yeah, I'm a left-handed.
It's pretty cool most of the time.
I would not consider
myself athletic. I'm a little athletic, but I figure it out. Like if you look at me, like I throw
kind of funny, I run kind of funny, everything's kind of funny. I think it's mostly because I did not
have a dad to teach me how to do that stuff. And so I just had to figure out how to do it by doing it.
And so a lot of it looks a little quirky, but it gets the job done. Can I say something that might
make you, I think we're on the thing like we're going to make you feel better. I think this will
make you feel better. But I don't know. When I hear you say that, I'm more like when I see you play
sports, I'm like, wow, look how athletic
he is. Well, that's very nice.
Because I'm surprised. I think you're lying, but I like
that. No, I'm not lying. But I didn't
want you to take it the wrong way that I'm surprised you're athletic.
But I think it's because for years and years,
you talk yourself. But you talk yourself
down, so then when I see you play sports,
I'm like, well,
that's, he's actually,
that's really good. Thank you. That's very
kind of you. Okay, lunchbox. I appreciate all the kindness.
Lunchbox. What do you have? Hey, Bob, you love women?
I love my wife. What kind of question
is that? I love my wife. Go ahead.
You love the U.S. of A?
I do. I do, yeah.
Well, I don't know if you're watching women's water polo at the Olympics.
And Flavor Flav from Public Enemy is in the crowd supporting them all decked down.
And you're like, what is Flavor Flav doing with water polo?
Well, back in May, the captain of the women's water polo team posted on Instagram and goes, hey, if anybody would like to sponsor our team,
some of these women are working three jobs just to support their dream and go to the Olympics.
Flav of Flavre saw it, said, I'm a girl, dad.
I love women.
I'm going to sponsor every single woman on the team
and he signed a five-year deal
and brought in other companies
that sponsor the women's water polo team.
Wow, that does make me feel good.
I saw him taking pictures at the pool with everybody.
Everybody.
And security had to be like, dude,
can you not take pictures while the games are going on?
And so he's like, I mean, I guess I can't,
but I'm not going to stop.
It's just kind of funny.
He just kept taking pictures.
Do you see the pommel horse guy look like me last night?
A young version of me.
I got so many messages.
I don't watch it.
The palm horse is that one where the guys go back and forth and it looks like they're going to rack themselves every time.
I mean, I'm like, it's like half an inch from there.
An inch away from castration at any point.
And this guy, he can't see.
And he's sitting back with his glasses on.
He takes his glasses off and he's all squinting.
And then he gets on the palm horse and just rocks it.
But obviously younger.
But he's just kind of a nerdy guy until he like takes his glasses off.
And he's like all ripped up and stuff.
but Stephen Nettersick, the glasses wearing pommel horse dude, is the newest Olympic star.
It was so funny, he took his glasses off and he could not see.
And he's like, where is the horse?
And then he gets on and they were like, can you not see when you get on the horse?
He's like, see, that's all feel, baby.
It was awesome.
Golly, yeah, wow.
That's impressive.
That event.
And I probably wouldn't have watched it unless everybody kept tagging me in videos going,
this dude looks like you.
He did.
Yeah, when he has his glasses on you.
I don't even know what I look like with them off.
Yeah.
Yeah. Morgan.
Yeah, okay.
So you say a lot of great Arkansas things don't make the news, right?
Okay.
Well, there is a former University of Central Arkansas basketball player who's playing in the Olympics.
As what?
He's a basketball player for Team Puerto Rico.
Oh, well?
Yeah.
So it's not for Team America, but he's from Arkansas.
And he's, he's the, like, UCA was the only college.
that offered him a spot after he got a high school injury.
And he's their all-time leading score and three-point shooter.
So Puerto Rico has their own Olympic team.
Yeah.
Okay.
Which is so confusing.
I thought they're part of the United States.
Well, they're not a state.
But they're a tributary.
I think we like lease them or something.
I think we like pay rent, you know.
How about that?
So yeah, one of your fellow Arkansas is, Arkansas is in the Olympics.
and that's pretty awesome.
Yeah, I appreciate you guys.
Making me feel better.
Did not have the best day,
but I'm out of it.
I'm here.
Look at me.
The territory.
Yeah, territory.
Oh, yeah, I knew that.
Oh, I know.
I said it.
Nobody, I just wanted,
I had to check myself
to make sure that I was right.
Got it, got it, got it.
Okay.
Time for the news.
Bobby's big.
Stories.
Let's go over and talk to Abby
real quick, who's waiting on the phone.
Abby, good morning.
What's going on?
Good morning. I was called, I was listening to yesterday's podcast, specifically the portion where lunchboxing you were going and talking about the Olympics. And I was wondering if we can get like a while the Olympics are going and an update during the show featuring lunchbox because you could just hear his passion during while he was explaining what he saw. And so I was wondering if that was a possibility. Maybe we can implement that during the show.
I mean, I mean you all.
We'll do it now.
Thank you for calling.
I appreciate that.
Right now, the U.S. has 20 total medals,
which on the surface looks pretty cool because we're leading.
Yeah, let's go.
But we suck at golds.
Oh.
And that sucks.
If we don't win golds and totals, we don't win.
Well, no, no, no.
Okay.
If we don't win golds and totals, that is not a win.
That's like a you did good.
Do we have the most stuff?
Yeah, because we do have like 594 athletes.
that are there. Right. We need to win
golds and we need to win.
But all those athletes had to make it. They didn't
just get allowed to go. That's amazing.
I know. 20
medals, we're in number one.
Number two is France.
Sounds like some home cooking to me if you ask me.
Number three, tied for
third is China
and Japan. So boom.
Golds. We're like
fifth or six or seven. We haven't even
really got to our gold sports yet, I feel.
Okay. I don't
swimming was supposed to be our gold sport.
Well, we haven't done all the swimming yet.
That's true.
There's like 50 meters, 100 meters.
Katie Ladecky's got two events.
She had even swim yet that she's the favorite in.
So favorite Olympic memory so far because it just happened.
Two things.
One, the fact that they did not put Caitlin Clark on the women's basketball team and then that
team ended up beating the Olympic teams, hilarious to me.
Because now the Olympic team's crushing people.
They're going to crush.
They haven't lost in like 56 games, the women's U.S. Olympic team.
They're awesome.
Go get that gold.
but they lost to like Kately and Clark back home as hilarious.
So.
Yeah, you better get the gold though.
No, they will.
No one can play with them.
Or these guys aren't going to care.
No, that's true.
Although I was pretty excited about the men's gymnastics team getting the bronze and I'll tell you why.
They haven't won a medal at all in like 15, 16 years.
Okay.
So as long as you've been a loser for a long time, you can get a bronze or silver.
But only occasionally.
We demand golds.
We want golds.
Did you ever see?
the sevens, the rugby?
I saw, I think it was full rugby yesterday.
I know.
I don't know about full.
I saw sevens and that woman who was just crushing people,
just running them over.
The woman in black?
Yeah.
Do you ever figure out why she's wearing that?
Maybe the team's color.
I don't know.
Or they put black on killers.
I don't know.
This one like little
tiny thing tried to tackle her
and she said, get off.
It's a big stiff arm.
So yeah, the U.S. added eight more medals
with the Olympics.
No golds yesterday.
I'm feeling pretty good about today, though.
I don't even know what's happening today.
We got a bronze and skateboarding.
We got a silver and a bronze and women swimming.
Bronze and men swimming, bronze and men's fencing, and men's gymnastics, which I'm okay with, took the bronze.
So there you go.
We'll give you that count there.
Some golds today, I'm sure.
Have you seen any Olympics or all?
No, just whatever shows up on my.
Yeah.
You don't turn it on the TV?
Not right now.
I haven't turned it on the TV.
I watch mine online too on my phone.
I'll just go to YouTube TV and watch it.
My favorite story story, though, has nothing to do with the Olympics.
The Canadian soccer team got busted for using a drone to watch another team practice.
Oh, that's hilarious.
And so they got penalized six points.
And they have to play, I think, one more match in the round.
If they win that, they still go through.
That's what's unbelievable is they have the hardest penalty, and it would be almost impossible for them in advance.
But they've won their first two games, so they win their third and they advance, even with that.
They're awesome, though.
So how do they think they were going to get away with it?
They have before, I'm sure.
Oh.
You don't do that the first time at the Olympics.
Like you're trained
to do that of the Olympics.
Like you're trained to do the Olympics.
What does their little drone look like a bird?
It flies up there.
Yeah, but the coach got sent home.
The coach and like another
person. Yeah. A couple other people with the team
and one of them, they're suspended from soccer
for a year. They can't have anything to do with.
I mean, it's wild. That's swift
action. I hope they get a silver.
It's USA.
USA. And we don't get to gold. It doesn't count.
Go home.
Oh, man, we look good against Germany.
Let's go home.
Gosh, I'm just like being anybody from America on the podium is awesome.
No.
Just even there.
If you're on the podium, I want to hear that magical song playing.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's it.
I don't get it.
We're different.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'd agree.
You're healthier, I would say.
I don't know.
But it's still pretty amazing to be the third best in the world at something?
Yeah, if you're doing it, if I'm watching it, no, I need you to be number one.
Yeah.
Well, I'm not saying it.
The two people I hold a count.
anybody I'm watching on TV and myself.
There's that meme that's going around with the Olympics right now where an Olympic athlete is doing something and they make the tiniest mistake.
Like it's not even and we're sitting on our couches and we're just like, pathetic.
It's like we could never even get close to doing that.
I watched Simone Biles on the beam.
Do the triple flip?
Do you see that?
What do you have to say?
Awesome.
Oh, okay.
No critiques.
I don't know how to critique that.
I mean, the toes weren't pointed perfect.
She did get like a tenth of a point when she was doing the floor.
routine. But she has a calf injury.
She's continuing to roll. Anyway, there's your
Olympic talk. Thank you. All the collaborators
on Post Malone's new album were leaked.
And here's the thing. It wasn't
by somebody going, I'll show them.
It was by
somebody who had like a box
of them at Target
that were getting stocked away
and an image of that
got out and you could see it.
So it wasn't someone like putting
it all online. Like back in the day, people
would just like leak out music.
So a list of the collaborators on Post Malone's new album was accidentally leaked early by Target of all places.
A picture with all the information was uploaded by the wrong picture to the pre-order page.
Oh.
So they take a picture for inventory and it's supposed to go over there and they synced up the wrong pick.
Oh, I thought maybe like someone stalking it, took a pick, sent it to their friend and then their friends like, oh, and they threw it up online.
So far we know Post Malone, Morgan Wall and Blake Shelton, Luke Combs, and we knew he's working with Chris Ableton.
You know, I don't want to ruin it and say all the rest of them, but I'll see who they rhyme with.
Lardy.
Oh, okay.
All right.
I think I can figure that one out.
Okay.
Rad Raysley.
Oh, really?
Oh, I got that one.
Really strings.
Okay.
What?
Raleigh Rarton.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Hold on.
I got the really rings.
You're not going to, what?
I got that one.
What's the next one?
Raleigh Rarton.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
Oh, that's fun.
Rainy River.
I'm not even rhyming anymore.
Oh, I got that one.
You're not.
Wait, what?
Oh, yeah.
Rainy Pilsen.
Oh, that's good.
Okay.
Pellidole.
Whoa.
Oh.
It's taking me way too long.
There's one I still don't have.
I got it, I got it.
Jim Figuero.
Really?
Yeah, yeah.
Furness.
Okay
I got that one
Pink Williams Jr.
Okay.
I mean that one you just gave up on.
Pink Williams Jr.
I know, but why didn't you go
Pink?
I just got tired.
Okay, yeah, me too.
So we don't want to spoil it, but it's all out there.
It's all on the news.
Sounds like a pretty awesome.
Which one is?
Lunch Rock's unable to figure out right now?
He doesn't know who Billy Strings is.
Oh, okay.
That's why he's going on.
I don't know who it is.
So I'm not going back to it because he's not going to know him anyway.
Got it.
Got it. Would you say that's accurate?
Oh, is that the person's name?
Yeah.
I have no idea of that.
Yeah, like, amazing bluegrass guy.
Who's?
Furness.
Ernest.
Ernest.
I don't know.
I couldn't get it.
I couldn't get it.
I couldn't get it.
I was going, Fergie?
Like, what?
Fergie?
I was so confused, man.
I didn't know what.
Thank you.
Well, we're going to play Morgan Wallen and Furness right now.
Okay.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football,
or my career in sports media.
Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined.
And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.
This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes,
creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated.
One week, I'll take you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and
entertainment, and the next we'll talk about life, mental health, purpose, and even music.
The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast, it's a space for honest conversations, stories that don't
always get told, and for people who are chasing something bigger. So, if you've ever supported
me or you're just chasing down a dream, this is right where you need to be. Listen to the Clifford
show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind
the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok.
You can have opinions.
You can have like a strong stance.
And then there's your body having its own program.
I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans,
a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans.
We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation.
There is one finding that is consistent.
And that is that our resilience rests on our relationships.
I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change.
We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes.
Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I feel like it was a little bit unbelievable until I really start making money.
It's Financial Literacy Month and the podcast.
Podcast Eating While Broke is bringing real conversations about money, growth, and building your future.
This month, hear from top streamer Zoe Spencer and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum-Pierre,
as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up.
If I'm outside with my parents and they're seeing all these people come up to me for pictures, it's like, what?
Today now, obviously, it's like 100%.
They believe everything.
But at first, it was just like, you got to go get a real job.
There's an economic component to community.
striving. If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail.
And what I mean by fell is they don't have money to pay for food. They cannot feed their kids.
They do not have homes. Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them.
Listen to Eating While Broke from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
What is your earliest memory? What age?
Sometimes when people have these and they're like, oh, I remember when I was three or four or five, I don't know exactly. I'd have to
My sister holiday was, but is the time she put me in the elevator and pressed down and she didn't get on with me.
And then I was at, we were at a hotel and I ended up lost.
And she thought it was hilarious.
And I think, I think I was around five.
But that's what I remember.
Five's about my first memory too.
And it was scary because, I mean, I went missing.
I think that's probably why I remember it.
Well, they call it childhood amnesia and they talk about people not being able to remember age three, age two.
researchers began interviewing a group of children at age three,
asking them what they could remember at age three.
So maybe it was a few days ago.
Maybe it was last week.
Then they followed up at age five, six, seven, and eight just to see what they were called
and if they could recall the same things.
By the age of eight, almost every kid had forgotten everything that happened when they were three.
So it must be a developmental part of the brain where it's not whole.
holding on to memories.
Yeah, but see, this is the crazy thing about our brain is that holds on to things.
We just can't remember what it is.
We just have, we just have, our brain has traumatic responses to it.
Because that's what's been the craziest thing for me when learning about the brain,
especially with my adopted kids, is some of the stuff developmentally that happen
in their brains, their first few months of life.
And their brain remembers and is holding on to it and like the separation from their
mom and that trauma.
And I'm like, okay, yeah, you can't actually remember, remember what happened.
Right, there's no memory.
But your body might or your brain might protect you from something.
Yeah, which is here.
There's no memory.
Even the non-protective things.
Like before three, there are no memories for 99.9% of kids.
That's crazy.
I do have a friend that, uh, five.
Okay.
I mean.
But your friend remembers coming out of the womb.
He saw a light.
Yeah, it's just crazy.
He swear as God.
I know.
And I mean, how can we prove?
I mean, he could, he could remember that.
How I can prove is he's an idiot in like 99 other places.
So I just kind of associate that with that.
Good guy.
But says a lot of stuff.
Like, I came out of the womb.
I can remember.
Nobody believes that.
It's like these kids when I worked on American Idol and they would be like, yeah, I got my first guitar too.
And I was drawn to it.
I was like, there is no way.
You may have held one and beat it up against a wall and they have a video of it.
There's no way.
So is that what you say to them?
Yeah.
On American Idol?
They cut that though every time.
You're like actually research says that.
They would cut that from the show.
How are your kids?
Yeah, they're doing really good.
My son's getting baptized.
on Sunday.
Cool.
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking about a lot this morning.
I was driving into work thinking about it and I got emotional.
What about your daughter?
How far he's come.
She's doing good.
She just got a new job for the school year, which is great.
She's going to be a hostess.
Oh, she's going to work, not summer, but school as well?
Yeah.
So she had her first real summer job, which she sacrificed a lot of something, like even just
doing certain things.
Like, you know, her brother got to go to Colorado with, you know, their dad for like two
weeks.
And she was like, no, I'm going to stay back.
I have to work.
and she's worked really hard.
And then she had an interview the other day for a job that she can have during the school year.
She could work weekends or nights, which would be a hostess position.
And she didn't know if she was going to get it.
But I was really proud of her.
Actually, it even said when she went online, they were only hiring servers.
Well, she doesn't have any server experience, but she just went ahead and clicked on it and showed up to the interview as an interview for a server.
And I said, I said, sure, you've never waited tables.
And she was like, yeah, I'm just going to go in.
I'm like, I'm here.
and then they said, well, how about we start you at Hostess?
And she's like, perfect.
But she didn't know for sure because she hadn't gotten an email confirmation.
So she came home.
And I had told her the story about how when Abby interviewed with you,
that you phone screener Abby,
that she sent you a thank you card or a note.
When she didn't get the job.
After, yes.
And I guess this is just one of those things where you're a real proud parent
because your kids are listening because she got home
and wrote a letter immediately.
And then the next day, like, had the card in the kitchen.
And she was like, oh, I got to go drive by the restaurant and drop this off to the manager.
And it was a thank you note for the, and I read it.
And it was a very, like, clearly thought out concise to the point.
Thank you for the interview and taking the time.
I look forward to working there.
And then on the envelope she put manager and put his name.
And I just was so proud of her.
I was like, wow, here we go.
It's just fun to watch them grow and see how far they've come.
The fact that she clicked it and just went anyway, like that's how to win at life.
just show up.
I mean, the best ability, period, is availability.
And by her proving that, they're going to find a place to put her.
Do you how many times I've met somebody?
It's like, I really want to do this job, but I don't have the credentials.
And I'm like, cool, I'll hire you for something else and we'll figure it out.
And then we'll grow into that spot.
That's really cool.
So I'm a proud of her too.
That's cool.
Yeah.
How many nights a week she's going to work?
Well, we don't know yet.
Tonight's her, like she starts today, actually.
And then, so we're going to go, right?
Can you tip the hostess?
Well, we were like...
Because I'll...
I'd like to be seated, please.
And like, when we get there, if like the other hostess is there, we'd be like, well, wait, we'd like to be seated by Stichira.
And we would like to sit in her section even though she's not a...
She doesn't have a section yet.
Are they dual hostessing there?
Well, I don't know.
A weeknight, probably just won hostess.
Yeah.
I mean, for me, it's fun because my first job at 16 was I was a hostess.
And I try to give her the tips.
So like you don't want to double seat people and make sure you're kind and respectful and you have good relationship with the staff.
And you never know they may throw you a bone, but like just be eager if it's if it's dull.
Go to the manager.
Like what do I need to do?
Do we need to roll civil wear?
Like how can I help and pitch in?
And I don't know.
Just taking me back to my first job.
But I don't know how many people will be there.
I just assume it's her first night.
So she might be training under somebody.
Oh, good point too.
It'd be weird to slip her the tip then if she's.
But it's a place that we all like to go.
and I feel like it could get busy on the weekend.
So she's got to be, you know, have her A game on and like know the sections.
Memorize the numbers.
Like you got to know where everything is.
It's a first night.
I buy expectations.
You're going to go on first night?
Yeah.
I mean, you think that's appropriate, right?
Not embarrassing.
It's supportive.
It's very supportive.
Also, it could be embarrassing.
But that's okay.
It's more supportive than it is embarrassing.
I'm going to wait then until there's not someone she's training with.
Okay.
But yeah, you all, you, I mean, you like this place.
You should go.
I already know where it is.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah, I already know her.
That would be fun, right?
Yeah, it'd be awesome.
I'd be like to, can you bring the hostess over here?
I'd like to, uh, do I order to her?
Yes.
Right at, go to the website and leave a review and review the hostess.
Best hostess of all the time.
We'll have her a CEO in like a month.
This would be awesome.
I'm just proud of her because her summer job taught her a lot.
She had some ups and downs with that.
But I think ultimately she came out on top because there could have, we could have
gone in two directions with how her summer job went.
And it seems to me like this was a good indication that we went, we're going the
right direction and we learned from any mistakes we made and proud of her.
Are you going to drive by, like do little drive-bys and make sure she's at work or you just
letting her go?
No, I mean, should I be doing that?
No, I don't know.
No, I'm going to let her go, be a bird, fly away, hostess away, but I just.
Do you have what time she's got to be home on a school night?
Well, that's what my concern was, like how late are we working into the night?
But I think, you know, she said she should be home by 8.30 or something.
I'm like, oh, that's doable.
Good deal. I'm proud of her.
Yeah. That's awesome.
I do.
We're going to play the game again to give lunchbox a chance to avoid his punishment on the wheel.
Or if he loses the game, there are things like he has to suit up, which means dressing a suit every day for a week on the show.
Or the shave game.
We put different body parts on the wheel.
We spin it, whatever it lands on, he has to shave.
So all this is up there.
It's trouble or nothing now.
And people get upset going, why do you keep letting him out of it?
Because the game is so hard, it's just funny to hear him struggle.
And we didn't make him do the game.
He chose to do the game.
Yeah, he's choosing to dig the hole.
Yeah.
Whoa, I'm getting myself out of that hole.
I don't know.
I'm not.
Hard music, trivia, or women's sports?
You have to get five or seven.
See, that's the hard part.
Last time I did women's sports.
So you expect me to go hard music.
So you probably made music really hard thinking I wouldn't,
and you made women easy thinking I wouldn't choose women.
Need an answer?
Give me hard music.
Hard music.
Your women's sports question number one would have been,
who has the women's record in college basketball for most points in a single season?
Caitlin Clark.
Yeah.
Who is the most decorated female Olympic gymnast?
Simone Bob.
Yeah, you'd have got two.
All right.
All right.
Hard music trivia.
He's got to get five of seven.
Here we go.
Lunchbox.
Yeah.
Which Australian soap opera star charted the song Torn
in 1998,
which Australian soap opera star
charted the song Torn
in 1998.
Five seconds on the clock.
Natalie and Brulia.
Correct.
How do you say your last name?
Nabrulia.
And Brulia.
Oh.
I'll accept it.
Oh, wow.
Why in my head I had Natalie and Bruglio?
It would have been in Bruglio.
I know.
Good job.
Wow.
I pulled that one out of your butt there.
Good job.
I've been.
Nice.
Yeah.
There's a singing group called
Wilson Phillips.
Oh, not fool.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Carney and Wendy Wilson
of the group, Wilson Phillips,
are daughters of Brian Wilson,
who's from what band?
Got this one.
Go ahead?
Beach boys!
Correct.
Yes!
Come on!
You just need three more out of five.
I need two more.
Dang it.
It's halfway there.
Feel Good Inc.
In hard music trivia.
Feel Good Inc.
Yeah.
Was a hit song.
in 2005 by what band?
I've been sing a little bit for you.
You good.
Go ahead.
First thing that came to my mind, I wrote it down.
Arctic monkeys.
You are so close.
That's it.
That's not right.
What?
Wow, it's the gorillas.
Primate family.
They're sam a time on a day
they're cartoons.
They'll be good.
Yeah.
You feel good.
I should have thought about it more.
Lunchbox, what year was the first Woodstock Music Festival held?
You watched the documentary on this.
He threw his arms up.
He looked like he was going to answer, and then he just exhaled into the microphone.
Here it is.
We're going for it.
What year was the first Woodstock music festival held?
1969.
Correct.
Yeah!
Guts sometimes!
Just go with that gut right there!
Go with that gut!
Your arms up, and then you paused.
Man!
You only need two more.
Lunchbox, which two songs did Dolly Parton write on the same night?
Which two massive hits did Dolly Parton write on the same night?
She's been on this show and talked about it.
I don't know.
She wrote him on the same night.
Which two songs did Dolly Parton write on the same night?
I only know three Dolly Parton's song.
What are the three songs you know?
I will always love you nine to five and islands in the stream.
that she's
sing with Kenny Rogers.
Five seconds
for the clock.
I will always love you
a nine to five.
I will always love you, correct?
The other one is
Jolene.
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene.
You need two of the next...
You got to get two in a row?
Okay.
So you gotta get two in a row.
Lunchbox.
What Irish band
spent 24 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 with the song,
Do you have to let it linger?
Do you have to?
Do you have to?
Do you have to let it linger?
You ever heard that song?
I'm such a fool for you.
You got me wrapped around your finger.
You want to circle back?
What year?
It doesn't say.
Oh.
Lunchbox, which band released in 1987?
album, Appetite for Destruction.
Which band released the
1987 album
Appetite for Destruction?
It's a fitting motto for lunchbox
right now.
Man.
Appetite for destruction.
I just got to get one of these.
Which one?
You're going to take stab at? We got about 90
seconds. I got to get one of these right.
Appetite for destruction.
Go ahead.
Five seconds on the clock.
Beastie boys.
Oh.
You got to fight for your right to party.
Now that's from licensed to ill.
Appetite for Destruction was...
You're in the jungle, babe.
Okay, who's that?
Dun, da, da, dun, da, dun, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da.
What is that?
Guns and Roses.
So now I've got to get an Irish band.
I will.
I don't even think you need to get it.
I lost this one, too.
No, no, no, no.
What Irish band spent 24 weeks?
It doesn't matter because I'm not going to get it anyway.
Go ahead.
You want to take a shot at it?
If you get this, I'll pull off one of your weeks of the wheel.
You get three.
You have to do three, but I'll pull off one of them.
I don't even know who an Irish band is.
You got to let it linger.
They also sang.
I give you a hint.
Zombie, zombie, zombie.
It's in your head, in your head.
Zombie.
Zombie.
Back.
Not a band.
The Cranberries.
Well, you lost.
So it's triple or nothing.
And so he's doing triple.
We'll get the wheel out tomorrow the next day.
I kind of figure out.
We didn't do it yesterday.
I was pretty sick yesterday.
But yeah, we'll see how it goes.
You did lose.
Anything you want to say?
Man.
If you present a scenario tomorrow that makes me reinvest in the gamble with you,
I'd happily think about it.
Yeah, okay.
I love kicking the can on this game.
Because it just gets worse and worse,
and eventually it's going to have to pay it all off.
Oh, man.
I was so close, man.
Not really.
You got three or seven.
You need it five.
But you did good.
I was surprised you got Natalie and Brulia.
Like, shout out there.
I should have gone women's sports.
Gosh.
Yeah, I think you would have crushed women's sports this time.
All right, there he is.
Oh, my God.
He lost a game.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care which I'll say it.
Yep, that's me.

You might have seen the skits,
the reactions.
my journey from basketball to college football

Well, somewhere along the way,
this platform became bigger than I ever imagined.
And now I'm bringing all of that excitement
to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.

You can have opinions. You can have like a strong stance. And then there's
your body having its own program.
I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans,
a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans.
We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods
of turbulence and transformation.
There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our
relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing
to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the

growth and building your future.
This month, hear from top streamer,

to leveling up.
If I'm outside with my parents
and they're seeing all these people come up to me

Today now, obviously,
it's like 100%.
They believe everything,
but at first it was just like,
you got to go get a real job.
There's an economic component
to community striving.
If there's not enough money
and entrepreneurship happening
in communities, they fail.
And what I mean by fell is they don't have money to pay for food.
They cannot feed their kids.
They do not have homes.
Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them.

Bobby Bone Show.
Bonehead.
Norrie up the day.
This story comes us from Polk County, Florida.
A man has a few beers.
It's 1 a.m.
He gets in a fight with his wife.
She says, get out of the car.
get out of the car and she drives away
leaves him 30 miles from home
he's like how am I going to get home I'm drunk
I don't have a ride
so he calls 911 says
hey my wife kicked me out of the car
come get me well they were nice to come get him
only probably he was on probation
and wasn't supposed to be drinking
so they didn't get him
because he was like hey come get me
I'm alone and lost
right they were going to come help him
then they got his ID ran it said wait a minute
you're on probation you're not supposed to be drinking
Yep. So they took him to jail and not home.
Wow.
Well, if he wasn't drunk, he probably wouldn't have made that bad decision.
And if he wasn't drunk, his wife probably wouldn't have kicked him out of the car.
He should have never been drinking to begin with.
And that's why.
I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day.
Morgan, your podcast has been out for one day.
Are you getting any feedback?
Lots of feedback. A lot of people connecting with it.
And it's doing the goal that I hope to it.
It's making people feel less alone in some hard seasons.
So Lunchbox message me.
It was like, can you believe?
I want to talk about Morgan paying for a billboard.
Nobody knows.
Then Morgan was like, hey, I paid for my billboard.
Yeah.
I'm like, I don't think she's embarrassed by it.
No.
I didn't say embarrassed.
I just like, you smell that?
What is that?
Desperation.
Or it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like, it's like.
No, no, no.
It's like, your nose is clogged up, man.
No, my nose is like, do you smell that?
I had to make, if I didn't make that noise, you wouldn't be able to hear.
No, watch it. Watch us. You smell that? Yeah. Oh. Yeah. I thought mine was more dramatic.
Go ahead. It's all right. Go ahead. I felt like, man, this reeks of desperation. It's sad that she has no confidence in the podcast. So she goes and take a billboard out, waste all her money. It's like. Isn't that the opposite? She's having confidence. She's betting on herself.
No, no, no. She's investing into what she thinks that she's done and she's proud of it. Do you think that billboard? I mean, it probably had it cost $10,000.
It did not. I know what the billboard cost. It did not cost $10,000.
Do you think the number of downloads is going to reflect how much you spend on that billboard?
I think between the billboard being there, her posting it, which is also a big deal, I reposted it.
I think she definitely got her money's worth out of it.
Oh, man, it's just, I felt bad for it.
And I thought we should all come in and maybe say something positive to boost the spirit.
Oh, you want to that to her too?
Like, geez, it was a bad look.
I don't think it's desperation at all.
I thought it was really cool.
I thought it was a really cool idea.
How long do they run that, do you know?
It's running for a week.
Really?
Yeah.
And it's getting fun a lot.
Yeah.
It was popping up a lot.
We stood there and it popped up like six times just while we were standing there.
I saw signs in the ground.
Yeah, we did that too.
For your pod.
Like when someone puts out a new record, like in Nashville, they put some-
And it has a QR code.
How much money did you spend?
I mean, oh.
Hey, you got a bet on yourself.
And if I'm going to reach more people than what we can reach here,
the only way to do that is to find other ways to promote it.
And billboards and signs do that.
Did you say how much did you spend or wait?
How about invest?
Spend.
You say lottery's not investment.
That's just to gamble.
She's gambling.
She's investing into something that she's continuing to build that continues to live.
The lottery, once you lose, you're done.
And once that billboard's gone, you're done.
That's not true.
People can hold on to that and remember that for weeks, months.
I mean, maybe like wait a week and make sure the podcast actually has some legs.
Also, him bringing this up actually allowed us to talk about it more.
I was like genius marketing.
Yes.
I felt bad for her.
And then I felt bad she was standing under her sign like, hey, like look at me.
Well, everybody does that when they get that up there.
Even a new artist do that.
Oh, man.
Morgan, what's the podcast called again?
It's called Take This Personally.
Take this personally.
Go check it out.
Before it goes bankrupt.
She's got no money left.
It's not going to go bankrupt.
She has a retired party girl on with her.
For the first episode, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, for this episode now.
And the whole point of the retired party girl is what?
Is because she wanted to stop drinking to make better friendships and make better choices in her life.
And I think a lot of people can relate to that.
And by a lot of people, do you mean you?
Oh, me for sure.
And a lot of people in their 20s.
You know, you rage in your 20s and then you're like, okay, what's happening?
Got it.
But from a standpoint, too, what I liked about it is it's relatable in that some people have to stay away from alcohol because they realize they're alcoholics.
This is just a also for people that may not be alcoholics at all.
They don't even have any of their family.
They don't need to abstain, but they realize like, oh, this actually isn't adding to my life.
Exactly.
Well, everybody go check out Morgan's podcast.
We're very proud of it.
I think all the stuff that you did surrounding it was really good because, look at it.
We're talking about it again because he's a hater.
You know, we had a feeling lunchbox would be a hater.
So it was part of the marketing plan.
Give it a few months.
I won't say it out loud.
I just like you.
You will say it out loud.
Don't fall for that trick.
I won't. I want to react.
Are you going to go buy you? Yes. He wants to know.
So he can buy one for sore losers.
Hey, sore losers doesn't need it.
We're done. Go check out Morgan's podcast. Good show today.
But also tomorrow, Hawk toa girl will be on.
Haley Welch. She'll be in studio.
Hawk to us bet on that thing. You know, you get it.
All right. We'll see you tomorrow. Bye, everybody.
