When a group of women
discover they've all dated the same
prolific con artist, they
take matters into their own hands.
I vowed. I will
be his last target. He is
not going to get away with this. He's going to get what he deserves. We always say that
trust your girlfriends. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe, on the Iheart radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm out of you. And the morning and you turn the radio on and the dial just keeps on turn.
All right.
Eddie and me lunchbox,
Morgan 2.
Steve Reddavit's trying to put you through.
Mike D's riding this week's next bit.
Now Bobby's on the mic so you know what this is.
This is the Bobby Vaughn's Store.
All right, questions for the room.
By the way, if you're listening, you call us with yours.
Lunchbox, what is yours?
We got invited by a family that we don't really know, you know, like friends,
like they have kids at our age.
And like, hey, you want to come to our pool.
Like, yeah, they have a neighborhood pool, cool.
So we show up and we go to walk in and the people at the front, like, oh, it's $15 per person.
Per person?
First of all, oh, the people didn't tell you were paying?
No, they didn't say it.
They just said, you want to come to our pool.
But also $15 per person?
What kind of New York City fancy pool is that?
And so it's probably a water park.
That's a water park.
That's a wife.
Yeah.
So I tell my wife, I said, call him and tell him to come take care of this.
She goes, no, no, no, we're trying to make friends.
Like, we just got to pay it and go.
win. And so my question is, who should pay? If they know that there's a $15 per guest thing,
shouldn't they pay? At least they should have told you ahead of time. For sure.
That there's a cover. Do they call that a cover to pull? There's a cover to get into the pool.
And it's $15 a piece because that's going to actually affect your decision on it. If you want to
hang out with them or not. When you get there, though, you can't go to them and be like,
can you pay. Yeah. You can, but I don't know that I would. I would just be.
I would just go.
I would go home or eat it one of the two.
Well, I would assume maybe not that they're going to pay,
but since they invited me that maybe per pool season,
they're given, you know,
X amount of passes that they can use for friends,
you know,
like little vouchers.
What would you have done in that situation?
You get there.
Oh, I'm just going to pay and like not be awkward.
But like I would in my mind think,
surely,
why would they tell us this?
Like if I was inviting somebody to my neighborhood pool
and I knew there was a fee,
I'd be like, oh, heads up.
It's $15.
but we'd love for y'all to come hang for the day if you can.
Like one of my core memories, one of the more humiliating memories was I got invited by a family to go to the fair once.
And I was like, hey, come to the fair with our kids.
It'd be super fun.
And my mom's like, yeah, you can go with them.
And we go and then I don't know, I guess I just thought since they were sitting in their kids,
we didn't have any money, that they were going to buy tickets for all of us.
And so their kids rode rides the whole night and I just watched.
And so I remember that, but I act like it didn't bother me.
but when you said that
I was thinking like that feels like that
if I got invited to go
with them and they knew we didn't have any money
that they would have been like hey come and then we'll just
take care of everybody's
so I just watch their kids go on the
rides all night
yeah that's a tough one I've thought about that in a long time
but I feel like they should have told you there was a cover
yeah give us a heads up or a fee
or a
because it's just awkward we're standing at the gate
so what did you do
oh we had to pay the $15
for a person and had to
words my wife's like oh so what do you think you think those are our people i'm like no man that
even tells there's a 50 knockout we didn't hang on with them again yeah bad move to not let you know at
least like it already ruined like the day like i was already like i don't even care about getting to know them
bad move uh morgan has a question we're gonna get to it right after the song
questions for the room morgan you're up yeah so i keep seeing the same guy in my neighborhood
walking his dog and he consistently doesn't pick up his dog's poop and this isn't just like you know
a little 10 pound dog and it's small.
No, no, no.
This is a big dog.
He doesn't even fake it that he's picking it up?
Not even a little bit.
It just happens and he just keeps on walking.
I've seen this at least three times happen now.
Does he look around to see if anybody sees his dog pooping?
Or does he just go let nature be nature?
He just keeps on moving like it doesn't even happen.
Doesn't even bother him.
Doesn't face him.
Poopped in your yard?
Not yet.
But pooped in the yards around your yard.
Yeah, it's continuing to happen.
So what in your mind are your options?
I just let it go and I keep picking up the poop.
Because my dog's almost walked into this a few times because I've been walking behind them.
And then I'm like, oh, my, and it's huge.
It's huge.
And either I just pick it up and I keep moving and pretend no big deal or next time when I see him, I have to say something.
You can't say something.
I mean, it would be awesome if you said something.
I would respect you for it.
What if it's like, hey, do you have little baggies like this?
Here's a roll.
That's so awkward.
I don't mind awkward.
But I mean, you're going to go.
Even if you went up to.
him you saw him and you had some baggy,
he said by your door,
waiting for the next time.
If you went out by the,
hey,
Morgan, hey,
I got you these bags.
I see sometimes your dog poop,
I just want you to have these.
And you're like super nice.
That's even really hard.
I know,
because then does he retaliate in somebody?
Like,
they put him to poop on my doorstep?
You just let the guy poop
unless you know where he lives.
You drop him a secret note.
Yeah,
I mean,
I'm probably not saying me.
I'm not saying anything.
That is annoying.
Like, I don't.
Yes.
But I like,
Morgan,
I'm like it's a mountain of poop.
She goes,
my dog has almost walked into it.
Like it's like an unavoidable boulder in the middle of the road.
No, no, no, no, you don't understand.
This is a big dog.
I'm not even, not even just like a big dog.
Like a big dog.
Do you know where he lives?
No.
I haven't figured that out yet.
Maybe you follow him home.
You leave a note on his door secretly.
Oh, I've had people.
Secretly, what if it's a ring cam?
Then you were all black.
Cover your face.
That's right. Wait till nighttime.
Yes.
I've had people when I was taking my dog for a walk and back in the day and I didn't pick out
the poop and I came back and the bag of poop was on my front door like they picked it up and
put it on my front porch.
Hilarious.
They knew where you lived.
Were you the one getting upset about the trash cans and people?
Yeah.
So then I, there's another thing.
People want you to pick up the poop, right?
And then I'm walking through the neighborhood the other day and I see someone's trash can.
It has a sign on there.
It says, please no dog poop.
Like, okay, so you don't want my dog.
If I dog poop's in your yard, I'm not allowed to pick it up and stick it in your garbage
can?
No.
It's a garbage can.
Amy, go ahead.
It's garbage.
A lot of the trash places, like I haven't always lived in places where it's this way,
but it seems like different parts of Nashville where I've lived.
This is always the, you have to have everything bagged.
All of your trash is bagged in a bag.
You can't just like open up the lid and throw something or they're not going to take it.
Because they don't do grabs and dumps of the trash can.
Like some of the trucks will do arms and dump.
Ours won't.
They have to reach in each bag and throw out so they won't allow little bags of stuff.
Correct.
So I am like thinking they probably,
don't want just random little bags of poop because then that throws off their system of everything
being bagged. And then also, they maybe don't want that smell every time they go open up their trash
because if they don't have a dog or they're not throwing that away, they don't.
Who? It's a garbage can. You don't think it stinks. The garbage you throw in there stinks. A dog
poop smell is very different. I'm with you, lunchbox, but I understand Amy's point because our
garbage guy does that too. But if I'm picking up, I'm just throwing the first trash can I find.
Yeah, but everybody pays for their garbage individual. I hear you. I'm not even saying it's fair or right.
I just throw it in the first garbage can I can find.
Yeah.
That's all.
Morgan, the answer is do nothing.
Unless you're going to dress all in black and go up to his house and leave a secret note.
That's the only thing you can do.
More questions for the room.
If you have them, you can leave us on a voicemail.
877, 77, Bobby.
That's our number.
Time for the news.
Bobby's big.
Stories.
Metal count.
Total medals.
America, 79.
The next person,
China.
53.
Pretty good.
Quite the lead.
Now, we've been coming from behind on the golds.
We hadn't been in the lead yet.
China, 21 gold medals.
America, 21 gold medals.
We're coming, baby.
We're closing in.
We're going to win the goals, and we're going to win overall, and then we're going to stick it in their face.
Yeah, we need to.
That's right.
We're going to say USA, and we're going to wrap our flags and run around,
pee on their trees, just to claim the territory.
Pea on your trees.
We're all going to fly to China and pee on all the trees.
That's what I think we should do.
Yeah. Olympic mood is a thing.
If you're impressed with these summer, I'm so impressed by these athletes.
Put me on a pommel horse.
Put me on a pommel horse and watch me die.
And that's not even one of the crazier ones.
But yeah, I'm in awe of these athletes.
But what happens is researchers are saying, one, it can improve your mood.
But two, don't start trying stuff at home because you get hurt.
Oh, yeah, I keep seeing people posting things because, yeah, they're suddenly inspired or feel
like it looks easy and maybe they can do it and they can't.
So cool. That's from the perspective and psychology science.
Olympic mood is a thing.
Yeah. Can we continue the Olympics like in through the fall?
Then we get bored with them. You know how we are as Americans.
We'd be like, we love the Olympics. We can't good enough two months later.
God dang, man, get them off TV.
Okay, sure.
Let's get some more law and order on or something, you know?
But every four years is cool.
I don't really like the winter Olympics, though.
Because we don't have winter sports for the most part that we dominate.
it. We don't win the metal count in those sports.
And we don't? No, because it's not what our country is dedicated to most of the time.
Like we do have parts of the country that are great at skiing. But I mean, it's pockets.
And those are excellent athletes. But our best athletes are playing baseball, football,
basketball, men and women for the most part.
And gymnastics.
Yeah, I would say yes, but mostly if you're a woman volleyball, basketball, some gymnastics. Yeah,
but you got to be a size, a specific size.
They're so small.
It's almost like modeling, but way different, where they're like, well, if you're not this size, you can't really be a model.
It's like, you need to be this tall to do this and then for gymnastics.
You got to be this small.
Love the Olympians.
Well, only the American ones and occasionally ones from a foreign country if they're nice to the American ones.
That's all I care about.
Yeah.
I'm very patriotic.
Very.
Back to school, experts say, do not go overboard and buying your kid back to school clothes just yet.
Why?
Choose a new outfit for the first day of school and see how the street.
strict dress code is. Schools are, and not even like uniform schools, but a lot of schools,
their dress codes change year to year by a slight thing. So some of the things that maybe
you bought or you have old don't work anymore. Also see what everybody else is wearing.
It'll save you a lot of money to. That's from Judy Arnaul, a certified brain and child
development specialist. I'll also say like school clothes, kind of a sensitive thing for me.
We'd do yard sales before the school year and I would have new to me school clothes, but it would
always be from kids at my school who used to own those clothes, so I would get made fun of a bunch
for wearing their clothes. Not always, but sometimes, and that really sucked. However, then I figured
out if I just have new clothes on day one, nothing else matters. Because day one's when everybody's
looking around and be like, ooh, what's this person wearing? What are they doing? What are they up to now?
So then I would save, buy school clothes with my own money on day one once I was like 14 or 15.
It could go out and hustle and mow yards and stuff. And it was never really an issue.
I just keep on the old stuff over and over again.
Yeah, well, I...
Traumatized perspective for sure, but that was what I did.
Yeah, I don't know why we put such pressure on even having back to school type shopping.
Like, we could shift that a little bit because it's like, wait, you can just wear the same, as long as you're, you haven't grown out of certain things.
Part of it.
Great, that's a great point.
But yes, that is a part of it.
I think the other part too is like, new me.
No, I get it.
It's been a thing, obviously, since I was in school.
And now I live it with my kids.
And now they've, you know, they've had both uniform schools and now they're at public where they can wear whatever.
And gosh, I miss the uniform days because on a parent, it does make it really, really easy.
And even on them in their brain, like getting up, it's just like know what they can have to wear.
And there's no other thinking that goes into it.
I would have secretly killed another kid to have a uniform and stashed the body and just been like, it's worth it.
To your point, too, that there's no distinction or you can't tell like who has money or this or that.
no level of who's rich and who's not.
It's still kind of be known.
But again, this is childhood trauma speaking,
and I've grown a lot,
so I don't like hold on to this, I don't think.
But I didn't like that part of school
because I was the poor kid,
because if I could not wear the same clothes
two days in a row, big victory for me.
But everybody was like, ha, ha, ha, same clothes.
I knew it, they knew it.
I would wear clothes too big for me,
just whatever we could find, right?
And if it was just a uniform,
it would just eliminate.
So not even like you have to wear a certain brand or exact,
but it's like blue collared shirt and khaki shorts or brown.
That would have been awesome.
And even a town like mine that was very poor where people were very judgmental.
And there was even like an upper and lower inside of poor, which was weird.
Wow.
Yeah.
Yeah, no, I'd have been like, you can have uniforms, but you got to take out one kid.
I'd have to wrist it.
I'd risk it all.
Okay.
Yeah.
I'd take out one of those bullies for sure.
Researchers found that comedians are a different breed of people.
When researchers compare normal people to comedians in their brains,
they found that professional comedians are largely anti-social and non-conformists.
They also tend to be thinkers that are into sometimes conspiracy theories
or that the government isn't telling us everything.
They're easily distracted by a wondering mind that makes it difficult at times to focus until they hyper-focus.
That is the British Journal of Psychiatry.
I think that's just generally a creative thing more than a comedian.
I'm trying to add more comedy shows to my things to do.
Like even just like the local place here like Zanis or even certain comedians I fall in line.
Like if they're coming to town, I'm trying to get more of like, oh, I want to actually get a ticket and I want to go.
Because I've gone to a few over the years and it's so much fun.
Like you laugh so much and I feel like it's good and you don't take things too seriously, you know?
I think the problem now, and we shot my special to end of last year.
We haven't put it out yet because my producer also has a full-time job.
We're like, we're doing it ourselves.
We're not selling it until we finish it because we don't want them.
We want to have creative control.
And if we end up not selling it to a major streamer, great.
We'll put it at ourselves.
And honestly, you make more money about putting it out yourself.
Because what happens, why you sell it to a streamer for the most part, if they buy it is.
They don't pay that much for it, but then it's much eyeballs, right?
That's the currency.
Eyeballs and ears, which you can turn into more touring.
But like now, even my friends that do comedy, everybody's so worried about getting canceled all the time.
even like experimenting with jokes,
which is a pretty crappy place to be whenever you have to kind of go up and risk a bit.
Yeah.
So.
Well, that's what I was like even for me, just not taking things too seriously.
And yeah, I wouldn't, I don't want to be in y'all's shoes or a comedian shoes because, yeah, it's like, this is just a joke.
You know?
Like, let's just calm down.
I do know.
I remember when Brian Kelly got all butt hurt at me because I made a joke about Florida Georgia Line?
Yeah.
And I was like, that was for fun.
And we're just, we're picking it.
I pick at me more than I do anybody else.
Yeah.
I know.
That's brutal.
It's got to be hard to be on the receiving end of the joke, though.
I joke.
No, people make fun of me all the time.
I made fun of myself more than anybody.
Yeah.
But you're right.
You're right.
I apologize, everybody.
The history of my life, I apologize.
Are we cool now?
We settled?
Yeah.
Cool.
A Delta flight turns around over the Atlantic returns to Boston,
following the lightning strikes.
It's a plane.
I mean, what are the odds of that?
I think that happens some.
I just think some of them aren't as bad as others.
I mean, the planes are built to deal with...
Yes.
Sort of thing, but still.
But I guess maybe you don't want to fly over the ocean.
If you've been hit with lightning,
you want to go back and make sure.
Yeah, I wouldn't want to.
Just in case.
That's from the New York Post.
And then I'll say this.
All over the country,
they're Tyson chicken.
Big shout out Tyson chicken.
Mm-mm.
Lovey Tyson.
Rolls out razorback-shaped nuggets
in honor the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Hilarious.
So those are only available probably.
No, no, no, all over.
The Razorbacks are available all over America.
The new nugget.
are shaped like iconic hog mascots in honor of the Arkansas Razorbacks.
And yeah, nuggets at least all over the southeast.
Oh, yeah.
At my desk has two, I'm a diehard Arkansas Razorback fan.
I'd like to shout out John Tyson.
Never met him.
I'd love to meet you.
I'd love to give you a shoulder massage.
I'd be like, you're my hero.
Is that the dad or the son or the...
Well, John's the dad.
The son, they're all...
The whole Tyson family other than Mike.
But also Mike Tyson, I'd shout out to you too, buddy.
I've heard the son is like really, really nice.
Let's go.
I don't know him.
I'd love to know him.
Oh, I'll connect you.
Thank you very much.
All right, there you go.
That's the news.
Bodies.

There's two golden rules that any man should live by.
Rule one, never mess with a country girl.
You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes.
And Rule 2, never mess with her friends either.
We always say that trust your girlfriends.
I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends...
Oh my God, this is the same man.
A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist.

So Eddie has not been on the show for a couple of weeks.
It's Eddie's story to tell.
So we were just continuing the show until Eddie felt comfortable to tell his story.
So it's never that we don't want to say anything,
but it is always that we have to respect the people.
on this show and if there's something personal and private going on, we will not in any way
acknowledge until it is asked to be acknowledged or asked that they can acknowledge it. So that's why
everybody, I was getting beat up for days and days. Why don't you talk about Eddie? Not my,
story to talk about. And so I've been talking to Eddie every single day. Eddie's my best friend.
Eddie wrote on Instagram the following. I'm just going to read Eddie's words.
from at producer eddie on instagram my world has been turned upside down in the past few days my big brother
had a stroke that left his left side completely immobile and just a few days after that i lost my dad to a freak
accident none of it makes sense it's been a major blow to my family but god made us strong and blessed
us with wonderful people around us for major help and support through this hard time it has been
amazing thankfully my brother is recovering slowly and seems to be getting better and better every day
We will take all the prayers we can get so that we can get back to his life.
Can't wait to get back to the show with all my friends.
I know my dad listened to all the time because he would ask for updates on Bones,
Amy, and Lunchbox.
He loved Lunchbox's bathroom confessions.
I'm going to miss you pop.
Even then I'm not going to speak of details.
I think it's Eddie's story to share.
But even I know he was getting mean messages from people going,
why don't you say where you are?
Guys, we promise if we can tell you, we will always tell you.
you. If we can't, there's a reason that we can't until we can. And it just wasn't my story to share
because Eddie had two tragic things happen at the same time. One, which was bad. His brother,
who's not old, he's not even 50, had a stroke. And so in the caring of that, a freak accident
happened to Eddie's dad, who was not sick and Eddie's dad died. And so it's just like,
a left and then a right or a jab and then an uppercut.
So he's been dealing with that.
And my thing with everybody on this show is whatever's happening in your life.
And this is a tragic thing, doubly.
It doesn't matter if it's small, medium, or large.
If there's something that doesn't allow you to be the best version of you here, don't come here.
And I don't mean that as in a bad way.
It's like, you've got to fix yourself before you can even come and be here for the show.
If you're not good, you're not going to be good for us.
and we want you to be good for yourself and then us.
So I don't know when Eddie's coming back.
I told Eddie, stay gone as long as you need to stay gone.
But yeah, that's the deal with Eddie.
I wanted to read his words because it was getting very nasty in my DMs
and on Facebook and on the B-Team page where people are like they owe it to us.
We don't, honestly, not if it's something private like this.
We do whenever it's time.
But I think there's some of Eddie's family that didn't even know.
So no, we don't.
We try to give you everything we can possibly give you that is healthy for us and at times problematic for me.
But we will give you everything we possibly can when we can.
But you guys, not everybody.
Because like I said, like 14% of our audience, I want to slap that 14%.
86%.
You're awesome.
And you know who you are.
You're the strong 86.
We love you.
You're so supportive.
But that 14% want to kick you right in the nuts.
Some of you don't have nuts.
Some of your ladies, I kick you right in your nuts too.
but the 86%
you're amazing, thank you for all the support.
14% man
to kick rocks
or learn and don't kick rocks anymore.
Yeah and I think just like
giving people the space and privacy they need
and know that.
We got a strong 86 though.
We do.
We have a strong 86.
We got a strong 86.
The B team part of 86.
We love you guys.
There's part of that.
I don't know if it's 14.
Whatever you say.
That's 14.
14. I've counted them.
Oh, 14%.
Like it's just yeah, the knowing
and then they'll do whatever they can to try to figure it out and speculate.
And it's like, spend your time on something else.
They're just dumb.
Or need other hobbies.
Yeah, they're not bad people.
They're just stupid.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
That's it.
We could not love Eddie more.
Same for you guys.
I know it.
That's all.
I want to read Eddie's words.
And to the 86% we are super grateful for you guys.
And thanks for being so supportive.
And Eddie even feels that because I could see all of it going to his messages.
and so you guys are amazing.
And if you see any of the 14% out in the crowd
or the streets walking around,
kick them in the nuts.
Yeah.
Yeah, seems like a good solution.
That's what I feel like you.
Two things.
We put this full show up as a podcast.
I hope you check it out.
Search for the Bobby Bone show wherever you podcast.
We would love it so much.
We do a post show, which is an extra show many, many, many times
on that same exact podcast feed, Bobby Bone Show.
And if you don't mind, say something nice up there
because that 14% has been, they've been dominating.
thing, man.
They're louder.
They've been like, the show sucks, but I listen every day.
I'm like, how about you just like you listen every day?
That'd be cool.
Yeah.
What are you going to say it sucks?
So thank you to everybody who sent all the nice messages to Eddie in his comments to me and us about
Eddie.
I do not know when he will be back.
We will update you when he says it's okay to update you.
But honestly, as I've spoken to him every single day, we do not talk about work.
So.
Yeah, that's the last thing he needs to be thinking about.
Until he's like, it's what I need to think about because there does be, and you
You know, you went through a bunch of crap.
There is a stage where you go, I need to have something else to focus on other than this.
That's all.
I'm glad we could update you guys.
Amy has a fifth thing up today on Four Things with Amy Brown.
You can also check out that podcast.
Go and search for it.
Subscribe.
You know what, unless you're the 14%.
Amy doesn't like you either.
Well, they can listen.
Yeah.
No, listen to the Bobbycast, but don't listen to Amy's 14%.
You can't handle them.
What?
They're too mean for you.
Well, they can listen.
They just need to call it.
I don't know.
Lunchbox, we haven't heard a Navidia stock check from you.
Yeah, man.
We've been trying to keep it kind of quiet over here.
I don't even know.
We bought all this stock.
Lunchbox's convinced us to put a bunch of money with them.
You have to be patient with stocks.
No, not King Dingling of Stock just going to make us a ton of money according to him.
No patience here.
In the last month, our total portfolio is down $1,255.
Wow.
Oh, my God.
Oh, no.
I didn't realize it was that much.
Today alone, we're down $314.
Ray, if you're going to laugh that loud, turn your mic up.
Doomsday.
What happened?
We all put our money in.
Lunchbox made us buy these stocks as a group, and he was so sure.
Yeah, but it's going to come back.
What's the deal?
Hey, you want to hear the positive, though?
Yes.
Our total return on Navidia to this day?
This is the one you believed in more than anything.
Go ahead.
Even though we're down.
Yeah, go ahead.
Overall, we're up $16.
and 77 cents.
That's it.
Oh, now we're up $24.
See how quickly things can change.
Down 19.
How are we down $1,000 in our Buy Bone Show portfolio?
We've been taking a bloodbath.
Where do we fall?
What stocks do we fall the most?
Vivida. Everything's down.
Oh, my goodness.
Academy sports and outdoors.
Oh, that is tanked.
Dang, man.
How much is in our total portfolio?
$4,28,273.
So what do we do to bounce back there?
Well, according to my experts on here, it says right now is the time to buy Navidia.
No, we've already spent all our money in Navidia.
It says 90% buy Navidia right now.
It says, do not sell, buy, buy, buy, we should probably buy.
Yeah, this is how this is.
You want to send you more money?
Yeah, well, this is how the big players do it.
This is how we go broke right now.
Navidia is at $99 a pop right now.
So how many do we want to buy?
How about Amy and I just send you $100 each and you will buy three more shares?
Okay.
Okay.
So send me $105.
Because there's fees.
Is that your own personal fee?
No, no.
The app takes a fee.
Like I'll put in $300 and be like, you don't have enough buying power because there's a fee to buy each stock.
Okay.
We'll send you that.
We want to update in a couple weeks.
But right now we've lost a thousand bucks in the past couple of weeks.
Oh, dude.
We are taking a killing.
Man, I was not going to bring it up.
I was like, man, we're moving on from the video, but you guys want to talk about it.
We'll talk about it.
You have to bring it up.
It's our money.
Yeah, we...
Okay.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what you're saying.

There's two golden rules that any man should live by.
Rule one, never mess with a country girl.
play stupid games, you get stupid prizes.
And rule two, never mess with her friends either.
We always say that, trust your girlfriends.
I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends,
Oh my God, this is the same man.
A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist.
I felt like I got hit by a truck.
I thought, how could this happen to me?
The cops didn't seem to care, so they take matters into their own hands.
I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves.
Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
We have a listener in studio with us, but it's somebody that we met Maddie who, so we met you at Kansas Day. I remember meeting. You were super nice to us. How long have you been listening to the show, Maddie?
Since like freshman year of high school, probably. Yeah.
And, but Maddie's not that old, so it doesn't make us feel old.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
It's one of those where it's like, that one's okay, but it's like somebody when they're a little older and they say that, that one hurts our feelings a little bit.
And so what's your, the baby wants the microphone.
I know.
Yeah.
Hold the microphone a little closer to your mouth whenever you talk.
Okay.
And so now where do you live?
So we live in Manhattan.
Kansas.
Yep, Kansas.
The little apple.
Correct.
Okay.
And Morgan is a Kansas state alum.
I sure am.
Are you guys related?
We're not related.
but we do know each other.
Yes, we do.
Oh, you guys do know each other?
Yeah.
How?
Well, from high school.
Yeah.
Wait, you guys went to high school together?
Yeah, we did.
We didn't see each other much at K-State, but we did go to high school together.
And our high school's not small, but it's not large.
Yeah.
So you want, do most people go Wichita Tala to Kansas State?
Morgan, if there's a college?
No, not necessarily.
There was K-State, K-U, and Wichita State.
So you had three options, so one of three.
Okay.
And so what are you, you're working in what department there?
at Kansas State. So I work with football, so I'm our director of on-campus recruiting.
Does coach miss us? Oh, I'm sure he does. Does he talk about us all the time every day?
Yeah. Yeah. Eddie and I went up and had a really great time at Kansas State. And so how did
you get that job? What was the, what was the requirements there? Like, do you have a background
of sports? Yes. So I actually went to Oklahoma State for my undergrad. So I did
sports management there. Oh, so you guys didn't go to K. No, we didn't go to K-State
together. We just went to high school together. Got it, got it. Yeah. So then I went to OU for my
master's, and that's where I kind of got started with everything within football recruiting.
And they just kind of moved around from there to different schools. And then they called me
about the job at K-State and obviously couldn't. Felt like home. Yeah, well, my parents are only
two and a half hours away in Wichita. So we were out in Philly at that point at Temple. So I was
ready to come back home. So you've been listening to the show for a while. Is it what you thought it
would be when you came in here?
No.
So what is the same or different?
That's often, even how I feel when I go watch, like a talk show that I watch on television,
or I sit, it's different, obviously, when you get there.
What's different about what you see here versus what you thought you'd see?
I don't know.
Just different.
Meaning, like, I feel like in high school, I feel like you guys were all just kind of
sit behind the mic, like, not with your own desks.
And that is exactly what it was.
Almost different rooms.
Oh, in different rooms.
We wish that.
What?
I don't want to be in a different room.
Sometimes we do wish that, especially when certain purse people hear fart.
But, well, truth.
Well, we used to sit at one table all the way around.
But that was before cameras, like, had to put us on different shots.
So now our desks are, like, spread around the room.
And what you thought the same thing?
She thought the same thing.
She's very disappointed.
She's been listening since.
About seven months now.
Yeah.
Which is exactly how old she is.
Yep.
Yeah.
And what is her name?
This is Brinley.
Brindley, what's up?
What's your favorite song?
I love that one too.
That's a good one.
Shoozy.
Yeah.
She loves a good baby shark.
Does she react to certain songs?
Like, does she know Baby Shark?
Oh, yeah.
Do you want to, do you hate Baby Shark?
Oh, no.
No, you like Baby Shark.
What about Bluey?
Do you watch Bluey yet?
We haven't tried, Finley.
We haven't tried Bluey yet.
Yeah, she's going, uh...
We don't watch too much TV.
She wants, she really.
really wants that microphone.
Really wanted a nice.
Yeah.
What's the picture?
Is that a picture or is that just like a toy?
It's a chew toy.
It's like a little teetheer.
Oh, sissy.
Do you have any?
We can get air mom.
Oh yeah, your mom's here too.
Hi mom.
Ringly.
Did you ever listen to the show?
Oh, yeah.
Oh, you did?
Oh, perfect.
Got a whole family here.
Big fan.
Three generations.
Oh, good one, Amy.
Yes.
That's good.
Now we feel old again.
Right.
What do you feel like are your favorite segments?
or things when you're like,
oh, they're going to do this, that's fun.
We'll do like a little research study here on you.
I like the morning corny.
You do, okay.
Which was a very, I won't say controversial,
but when I first took that to our bosses,
and I don't have to take segments to our bosses and go,
we're now going to do this,
but I'd mention, hey, we're going to do this,
because I think it's quick and people like it,
and if it's perfect for Amy,
our boss said, that's the dumbest thing I ever heard.
And I was like, no, but it takes five seconds.
So even if it's the dumbest thing,
we move off of it.
But I think generally people like the morning corny as well.
So I appreciate you saying that.
All right, what else?
If you hear, oh, wow, they're doing this.
I don't know.
I like it when we do the jokes.
When Amy does her jokes.
That's like the morning corny.
So you want morning corny every segment.
Like, yes.
Yeah.
Okay.
What about, let's go specific to lunchbox.
What do you like that?
Oh, gosh.
Oh, no.
What was that?
I heard that gas.
What do you like that lunchbox does or how he at?
Well, it's a positive thing about him.
Okay.
So I've loved Lunchbox since high school.
So fun fact, I met you at a car place when I was like a sophomore in high school in Wichita.
Boom.
You and Bobby were together.
And I just love your personality.
I just think you're so funny.
Yeah.
So the, oh gosh, it was more like, where do I start?
Yes.
Oh, yeah.
So much.
You like dropped a scroll with all the things.
That's better.
Yes, yes, yes.
No, no, I think you're great.
All right.
So on the air, when Lunchbox does what you like it?
wins?
No, let her answer.
I do like it whenever he has his songs.
Okay.
And when he does what, you want to punch him in the face?
Because I feel like our listeners that are close to the show, they equally can really enjoy us individually.
But they should also, like a friend, understand whenever their friends are annoying.
And I think we all can be an annoying, especially me.
What about lunchbox makes you cringe a little bit?
I don't think you make me cringe.
Boom, winner.
There you go.
it's okay if I make it cringe
sometimes I do
I make people feel awkward and uncomfortable
and that's okay
It seems like she gets it
Like she just more
Last thing. Maybe you just understand
Maybe she has a good sense of humor
Just understand
So what I remember from meeting you
Like sophomore in high school
I think was like 2012
He hit on you?
No he did not
What I remember was
We went to go take a picture
And I accidentally
grazed
I believe I actually grazed your pocket
And you were like
Oh my gosh
Are you trying to take my wallet?
There you go.
Like immediately was just like cracking jokes and I was like, okay, yeah, he's just like he is on air.
Like immediately was like, did you just take my wallet and like pats himself down?
I was like, no.
Yeah, not a joke.
We think that's probably for real.
Yeah.
I heard those people in the witch saw, they like to pickpock with what I've been told.
All right, what about Amy?
Give us something that you like other than the joke when Amy says does or like her reaction.
Something positive about Amy.
I just like how real Amy is, honestly.
And she's a mom.
So I've been listening for a while.
So just hearing her whole story is pretty awesome.
Is this your first baby?
Yes, this is my first baby.
And then what about Amy?
Would you say drives you crazy?
Nothing.
Okay.
Oh, well.
Okay, what do you like about Bobby?
Here's the thing.
I should have like five.
I'm going to get like five drive me crazies.
We're going to get there.
Yeah, go ahead.
Lunchbox, you can handle this.
Go ahead.
Yeah, yeah.
What do you like about Bobby?
There's nothing of anybody here that drives me crazy.
You guys are great.
Then you don't listen to the show enough.
There has to be something that's like, oh my gosh.
Why would I come on here and tell you negative things?
Well, I feel like there are people.
Feedback.
didn't even know I was going to be on here. I know. That's what we put you on. So I feel like the things
that I love the most, I also can be annoyed at those people because I'm so close to them. Even people
I don't know, like podcasts I listen to. I'm like, you know, I get so into when they say this.
But I feel like that's an intimate relationship. So you should feel free and being like,
hey, Bobby, you're annoying whenever you think you're right all the time. That's a good one.
Yeah. See, there we go. I fed her that one. She agreed. Yeah, I also agree. I also agree. I think she's just used to
being positive all the time because when you're recruiting
people you have to tell them all positive. You can't be
negative towards them. It is true.
So she's scared us anything negative because
then she's like, oh, well, then that ruins the recruits.
What about what? Surely you have constructive
feedback for recruits?
Like, hey, if you... No, no, no.
It's all love. You know,
Amy, they're all gold. They're pooped.
They're trying to get them to come to school. I don't watch film.
So that's, people a lot of
time just think because you work in football, you watch
film. So don't ever send me, I tell
recruits, don't send me film. I don't know how to
evaluate it. Like I get it like my Twitter DMs. That's a lot of what it is. Guys just sending me
their film. Trying to get you to give it to somebody on the staff. And they think, but they say like,
hey, coach. And I'm like, I know they're copying pasting, but a lot of the time I'm just like,
I'll either send it to somebody or I just kind of have to, there's so many of them you can't send them
all. But I don't provide feedback to any of them. So I almost, I do like all the planning of all of
our events and everything like that. For recruits. Four recruits. Yeah. So I'm hands on with
them from the point that they, right before they get to campus, communicating about our events,
and then by the time that they leave. And then once our kids actually get to campus. So we get our
commits, the kids that are going to come play for us. I help them get into school and make sure
they have everything done with their housing, working with our director of player development on that
stuff. And then from there, once they're there for a week at K-State, then they're officially
and technically into the program. We kind of help them. And then you can give constructive feedback
There's no kidding.
I might.
Sometimes you have to.
Like hold a block longer.
Yeah.
So do you only do football?
Yes.
So I only do football.
But I believe my constructive criticism might be like, hey, I saw you parked in two parking spots.
Let's try to park in one.
Like more of a mom constructive criticism.
Yeah, life.
A lot of the recruit moms just they're like, oh, you're going to be their second mom there.
And so I kind of have taken that part on, just kind of helping them through things if they need anything.
How do you like coach?
Love him.
Yes, he's a big reason why I came here.
When we talked during my interview process, it was really big on family.
And obviously, that's very important to me.
I wanted to start a family, and I still want to be in college football,
and that's a big thing is that we're so busy that people think that we're not going to have time for our families.
And that's the complete opposite of what my coach is.
We just had a staff retreat, actually, and he specifically has a slide talking about family.
Like, if you have time, go watch your kid play.
like go watch your kid practice, bring your kids up to the office.
We want to see the kids up there.
And you don't get that very often in college football.
So it's made it to where I'm able to do my job because I love my job so, so much.
And I was still able to start a family.
Is your husband in sports?
Yeah.
So he's a coach.
So Manhattan Christian College is a small Christian college in town.
And he is their assistant basketball coach there for men.
And then he's also their assistant athletic director.
I didn't have a note on that.
I just remember talking to you back then and you saying that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And when you got married, what was your, what did you guys dance to?
What song?
Matt Stel.
Yeah, that's a good one.
I got Matt on FaceTime whenever I was with her.
Oh, that's cool.
Yeah.
I was like, Matt was like a golf course.
Yeah.
And I was like, she's, you dance to her song.
And he's like, I'm on whole seven.
But then he was super, then he was super nice.
That's awesome.
Yeah, it was really neat.
Well, we're super happy you got to come by.
And it was good to see you.
And we can take some pictures and stuff if you want.
Oh, yeah.
But I just, they were like, I can't believe you had time for vacation.
You should be recruiting.
Yeah, I can't.
You know what I mean?
Right now on NCAA, I'm recruiting.
Well, it's a dead period right now.
So we can't have any recruits on campus.
I'd be cheating.
So, yeah, that would be cheating.
I would be cheating.
No, I would be cheating.
Oh, you would be cheating.
Okay, we won't hire you.
No, you should not hire me for any reason whatsoever.
I would for sure be sanctioned by year two.
Yeah, we won't have any kids back on campus pretty much until our first football game.
So that's just here in a few weeks at the end of August.
Are you so excited for football season?
Yes.
I love football season so much.
So it's a, it's just a fun time.
I mean, you guys should come back for a game.
Morgan, I'm sure maybe if you have a little spare time, come back for a home game.
Oh, I would love to come back to Manhattan.
I want to get into this relationship.
How was Morgan in high school?
Like, was she like, I was a freshman and she was a senior.
Oh, so you guys really didn't have a bunch of time together.
So what was the K Club?
Yeah, K Club.
Yeah.
So she was like the president of K Club.
And I was in it.
So that's, I feel like how I kind of got to know her a little bit.
But Morgan was like,
she's like the perfect girl in high school, I'm gonna be honest.
Like she was so, like I looked up to her in high school
and I just did.
I just thought she was one of the coolest people to know.
But you've totally, for all of,
you've glazed on all of us in such a wonderful way,
we may just feel like you're glazing Morgan right now.
No. She's the one you're saying real stuff about,
the rest of us was just, yeah, okay, that's fair, that's fair,
that's fair, that's fair.
Well, really great to see you.
I will say this, we went to Kansas State.
They were, first of all, the facilities are so much better.
And I mean this in the most compliment
way than I thought they would be because other schools that are of equal meaning financial resources.
It can't say it's a massive program. But then there are the separators like Texas and Oregon who have so
much money that it's, you guys at facilities were the best. It was awesome. It was so cool. And I say
that coming from Arkansas. And I don't compare Arkansas to anybody because it's that holy grill for
me. But people ask us all the time. We've been to 30 places, 30, 32 places. They're like,
what was your favorite? And Kansas State is either number one or
number two, depending on if we're somebody.
Well, if we're somewhere in the like, where's your favorite, we say this place?
Well, it's because we let you put on uniform.
That's true.
And then other people start copying you too because of that.
I saw.
It's okay, though.
You guys set the trend.
It's okay.
We put on the uniforms, tackled each other.
And everybody's like, you should put on our uniforms.
But you guys started that.
So thank you for coming by.
Thanks for bringing the baby who hates the show.
She's ready to go listen to.
Yeah.
Yeah, Joe Rogan.
She's a big Rogan.
Yeah.
She just started crawling.
Oh, she's crying.
Now she's fussy.
I've seen that look with lunchbox.
We have to go to break.
She's a little attached to me, so.
Well, right, let's jump out and we'll get some pictures and stuff.
And we'll be back.
Lobby Bone Show.
Bonehead.
This story comes us from St. Petersburg, Florida.
Two women are in a car driving when they pass a police officer and the driver doesn't have a seatbelt on.
So the cop says, woo, woo, pulls them over, comes up to the car.
Can I see your license and registration please?
and he sees a bag on the passenger floorboard
that says, bag of drugs.
Oh, wow.
That's so funny.
Just that someone would write that on him.
Aside from the cop seeing it,
just that someone would write bag of drugs.
It was a duffel bag, like a big bag.
It's a bag of drugs.
It reminds me of the old cartoons
or even like Beverly Hillbillies
where they would have the big bottles
with XXXX written on and tape
so you would know it was alcohol,
but bag of drugs.
So what the cop do?
So he said whose bag is that?
And the passenger said, that's mine.
He searched it, a bunch of drugs.
She went to jail.
Wow.
I mean, it could have been like Advil.
But no, and I'm looking at it.
It is actually not, it is a bag that is made in the, like, factory to say bag of drugs.
I think for, like, prescription drugs.
Yeah.
I thought they wrote it with, like, tape.
But I was this bag of drugs.
And the officer's like, let me see it.
And then it's full of, like, rocks.
Like big rocks.
Do you see the drugs in it?
It's not even like...
Yeah, it's got like three and a half grams of cocaine, crack cocaine, crystal meth.
Those are real...
Yeah, those are real drugs.
Yeah, that makes Scoo with Steve's it up straight.
Yeah.
All right, lunchbox.
I'm Lunchbox.
That's your bonehead story of the day.
This mom applied for a passport for her daughter.
Her daughter's name is Calisi.
Now, Calisi, you're not a big Game of Thrones fan,
but she's basically the biggest star on Game of Thrones.
Yeah, I've heard of her.
Yeah, that Calisi name is not a very common name.
So I would think if someone was applying, that would be like someone going, I'd like to apply for a passport for my son, Gilligan.
And you'd be like, okay, is it named Gilligan or she's like Gilligan's Island joke?
Yeah, but she really is Caliisi.
Or Snoopy.
Like there are one-name characters that probably you couldn't get away with, but they were like, no, we can't give you this passport.
But that's her real name.
Okay, but they thought that that was a character's name that had been trademarked because it was so different.
Oh, okay.
And they were like, no, we cannot.
give you this passport unless Warner Brothers
gives permission.
That is so bizarre.
So after,
then went through all the steps, she finally got it.
Little Calisi got it. It's weird, though, to name your kid after a
character from a television show
that has a really weird name, though.
Let's say you name a kid Chandler.
That's not that weird because there are
other Chandler's, and if for some
reason Friends is not cool in 20 years,
you can be like, no, my friend Chandler
from high school, or read it in a baby book.
You really can't go, yeah, we saw Callisi
on a website. It was like biggest name at the time.
I just find it hard to believe that that's the only
Calisi. Or Aunt Colisi.
We named after Aunt Colisi.
Name your kid whatever.
But I feel like this kid now
is also destined to always be
Calisi from Game of Thrones. It's such a weird name.
Don't you think somebody named their kid like Darth?
Garth? No, Darth.
No, I know. I think Garth. Do you think there's a kid running around
a little Darth? Maybe.
Darth Johnston?
Or middle name Vader.
Yeah, if you're going to commit, go for it.
If they let you do Darth, you have to go Darth Vader-Wilson.
Obviously.
For sure.
Yeah.
I thought it was funny that a parent wanted to name their kid Calisi.
No, not wanted to.
Did.
That's true.
And then they were like, I would have been the passport office.
Like, okay, let's see.
Okay, yeah, the Johnstants.
We're clear to passport them.
Oh, oh, yeah, from Fresno.
Michael Winslow.
Good deal, good deal.
Oh, Calisi Smith?
Calisi.
Hey Mike's that from Game of Thrones
Yeah
Rejected
I feel like if I was working
The Passaway office and they came through me
I'd be like oh Colisee what a cute name
Never
Not into Game of Thrones
Clear
Okay we're done
Thank you everybody for listening
We just appreciate you so much
You can listen to everything on the podcast
We do like hours and hours of the show
I feel like we've been here for three days
But just for like five hours
We continue to do extra content
On the podcast feed at all times as well
So you will hear the full show
which you probably miss some of it anyway.
We can't expect you to hear everything.
But we also do lots of, lots of, lots of extra stuff too.
That's it.
On the podcast today, Morgan.
We debated if you should be able to order from the kids' menu as an adult.
Yeah, meaning some restaurants want to say no to that.
And I think there are requirements or there's an understanding about the kids' meal,
but hear what we have to say about that.
Give me another one.
We have a stock update from Lunchbox on Y'all's stocks.
Okay, this is.
And the thing is, so, and Amy can lend a little to this because the market had a big bumble.
Oh, yeah.
We don't know anything about the market, first of all.
We're not marketers.
No idea.
But the market had a big, like, bumble, big tumble bumble.
But.
But I follow this girl Vivian on Instagram, and she used to work on Wall Street, and she had this whole video that broke down that, like, yeah, you may think the market is crashing.
But she said it's really not that bad because we're still up from where we're.
We were over like a year ago.
I looked up after you sent it to me.
We were up like 15%.
By the way, we have like 500 bucks in stock.
No more than that now with lunchbox.
Yeah, but we're investors in the stock market.
We're so stocky now.
What we say stocky?
We're so stocked.
We're full Wall Street on this show.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So the market was up like 15% and now it's down like nine.
So we're still up 6% on the year.
Yeah, my favorite Wall Street girlie, she explained it to me on Instagram.
We know nothing about this, everybody, but we do know that.
Yeah, I love that she breaks things down.
simple terms. So she's a good follow. You can
just Google Vivian
Wall Street Girlie on Instagram and you'll find her.
And obviously, if we're finding it
on Instagram or TikTok, it's true. So, okay.
All right, Morgan, what else? And the alphabet song?
Yeah, it's changed. The dumbest thing
I've ever heard. But I understand
why. It's only dumb because it's
different. Oh, no, I'm turning old. Okay,
thank you. That's it. Check out the Bobby Bone
Show podcast. Today, Amy,
it's Tuesday. You have a fifth thing?
I do. Yeah, and I talked about my
experience with mouth tape over the last month, and we go over things women hate to hear,
but people say it to women all the time.
Wait, mouth tape.
That's something you're doing with a partner?
No, I just put the mouth tape on.
Oh, to sleep.
Got it.
I got it.
I tried it for a full month.
I think we should explain what that is, though, to some people, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's just tape you put on your mouth while you sleep.
Check out four things with Amy Brown to hear that podcast.
Thank you.
We'll see tomorrow.
Bye, Barbara.
