So we, too, can better understand how to face our own seemingly insurmountable challenges. Listen to Mind Over Mountain every Thursday on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. It's time for the Bobby Bones post show. Here's your host, Bobby Bones. Hey, Ray, what's the deal with the Michael Ray video you were talking about?
Starting point is 00:02:08 Oh, yeah, so I just saw this on CMT. He put out this song called Get Her Back, and it sounds like Get Her Back, you want to get Carly Pierce back. Okay. But it also means two things. You want to get somebody back. Oh, get back at them. So in this music video, the chick that's a little.
Starting point is 00:02:25 in it looks identical to Carly Pierce. So is he trying to get her back or is trying to get her back? Well, the whole setting is him getting interrogated because she dies. He maybe kills her. What is you serious? It is crazy!
Starting point is 00:02:41 What did you take from it? I mean, he's being investigated. She fell at the pool. Did he push her in? No, I'm guessing drugged her. I just want to get her back on the movie video. Are you making this out that drug her part? No, he wants you to take from it what you will. Yeah, but you took from it
Starting point is 00:03:00 what you will that he probably drugged her and it killed her. You ain't just falling at a pool for no reason. Oh, wow. She does look like her. You ever slipped at a pool, Eddie? One time I was drunk. Yeah. Pipe. Oh, man, he's in the interrogation room. So, so why was he being investigated if she just slipped? I don't, we don't, we don't, I don't I don't know. I think when you died, you just automatically get investigated. But Eddie, when you got, when you slipped at the pool, were you investigated? Oh, no, man. I barely remember that. This girl does look like
Starting point is 00:03:27 Carly Peters. Oh, yeah. That's hilarious. It's so... The scenario is so fake, though, that it really doesn't make me feel like he's sending a direct message, like get her back. Like, he's trying to...
Starting point is 00:03:40 Because she did a bunch of songs, like the whole record. Right, she did. And he did one music video. But what is he doing that gets her back, and not, no pun on the song here? What's he doing? What's he saying in this? What's his version of his story?
Starting point is 00:03:52 He's getting her back and kill it her. But that's not real. That's my point. A killer. Was that foreshadowing? Okay, well, that would be an issue. Okay. Michael Ray told People Magazine that the director of the video understands that place where you want to snap, but then you settle down and you just move on.
Starting point is 00:04:10 To be able to find a way of showing how far you can stand from the fire. Still, it's not really saying anything about what his message is based on her messages. Maybe it's nothing. Did he even write the song? Mike, will you look and see if he wrote it? because that would also tell us because if he wrote the song about her specifically, we could go, well, let's get into the words of the song,
Starting point is 00:04:32 break it down, and see what he's saying. If he did, no, he didn't write it. Okay. So he didn't even write it. Yeah, but he picked it. Yeah, and I mean, who did the casting for this video, did a great job. I'm sure he's a part of that, and I'm sure that's probably what they thought the hook would be.
Starting point is 00:04:46 Like, oh, wow, he cast a Cardi Pierce look alike. But if he didn't write it, then the same really his message or his songs. I think she wrote all her songs about him. him. Would you guys agree? Yes. And I'm crazy. I just read into it way too much. You thought what, though? He was playing out their relationship and in the song said this is how it's going to end.
Starting point is 00:05:07 Okay, but it didn't end that way. Then he's saying. He's still going to kill her? You think that's what he's saying. Then we need to keep a watch on him. He's admitting to it in the future he's going to try to kill her. He needs to be fuller. Yeah, he needs to be surveillance. Well, hey, there is that one author that wrote a book, How to Murder Your Husband,
Starting point is 00:05:23 and then she murdered her husband. Yeah, that is true. Yeah, it was like a pamphlet more than a book. But yes. Yeah, okay. He didn't write it. I don't care. It's not him putting it.
Starting point is 00:05:33 His quirky little thing was putting a Carly Pierce look alike in there and killing her. That's legit. It wasn't even about a song that he wrote that was a message to her. Right. No, you're right. But I'm just saying, seeing it on Saturday morning, gave me the hebie-jeebies, man. I was like, I got to tell Carly.
Starting point is 00:05:47 And did you? Or how would you tell Carly? I'm going to need to DM her and be like, Hey, have you seen the video? You don't think she's seen the video. Watch your back. Don't go to a pool. It's like, what did lunchbox say to Abby that one time?
Starting point is 00:06:03 Wash your back. Wash your back, yeah. Well, I want to put on Mary, Christina, Nicole, who were on the phone, who we were keeping tracking them this morning. They left voicemails last night coming from Massachusetts. Hello, ladies. Well, I don't know how to really answer that. Good day.
Starting point is 00:06:20 Good day. Hey, so where are you guys right now? Where are you guys right now? our Airbnb. We just got to Nashville. Oh, you're here. I thought it was going to be like 5 p.m. Because your second voice, Mel said 5 p.m.
Starting point is 00:06:34 No, because our flight, we had two flight cancellations, and we went to three different airports to get here by this morning. So we ended up. Because we didn't want to miss the show, just in case it got delayed or something. But why are you guys coming to Nashville for real? Oh, Tatea. No, that's not true.
Starting point is 00:06:49 I'm doing it like a... Yes, I've been calling for months. I'm doing like a 15-minute set at the Grandadoloperates, a whole bunch of artists. So you wouldn't be coming. Yeah, no, it is. That was the only thing we could find. This is our April school vacation, so it's the only time we could go.
Starting point is 00:07:03 So I kept calling and calling to see if you had any, like, shows. But then my friend Nicole found this online, so we were like, okay, that's our only time. So we don't care about the others. I mean, Breeland's cool, but. Oh, I don't even know who else is playing. Actually, look. That's cool. Mike, will you pull up who's playing tonight with me?
Starting point is 00:07:16 Hey, so you guys are how old? 25. We're all teachers on April vacation. We all went to college together. So you've been friends since college? Do you teach the same school? Yes. Westfield State.
Starting point is 00:07:29 You're going to teach you to college? No, we all teach either high school or elementary school. Oh, I thought you said something, something state. That's where they were to college. Westfield State. Hi, lunchbox. Oh, Westfield State. They're a powerhouse.
Starting point is 00:07:42 Yeah. And what's Westfield State known for, guys? Nothing. Owls. Owls, yeah. Owls? Oh. You got a lot of owls on campus.
Starting point is 00:07:50 Being the owls. Tonight, Breeland. and Winchester something Haley Witters That's cool Craig Morgan Steve Warner
Starting point is 00:08:01 Yeah heck I'm just Side show here Okay so Let's do this then Because I feel like you guys Have been through Through the ringer here

Starting point is 00:08:28 With me tonight Like following me Just for different reasons That I can't really say But if I can Hopefully we can manage it To where they can come back And we can say hello
Starting point is 00:08:39 Okay guys That would be a good trip Come through Yes or or Oh are When do you guys go home Would you rather come up to the studio And say hi tomorrow
Starting point is 00:08:54 Oh no You're a kid Oh, you're literally kidding. I will literally die. Yeah, that's probably the move then. That's better. Let's do this. We can meet everyone?
Starting point is 00:09:04 Yeah, I think. Will I be? Oh, my gosh. Do you know how hungover they're going to be tomorrow? After one of the Opry? They're going to go to Broadway tonight. Okay, so this is what we'll do. Okay.
Starting point is 00:09:14 They're teachers. They're going to bring breakfast. Let us get their number, organize them to come up here tomorrow morning. We'll figure out what time, probably late in the eight and we'll meet them say hi they can we can take pictures meet everybody I think that'll be better than just me tonight anyway I'll be rushed anyway I don't want to have to be like oh good to see you got to go because I got to perform and we're going to have a deal going on
Starting point is 00:09:38 okay is everybody cool with that you just wear whatever you would wear normally if you were going to eat breakfast at a place where you had to sit down an order okay okay but where's Eddie I'm here I'm listening to you guys I'm good hi what in the world okay I'll We will see you tomorrow. After your body, you're about going to checked. And then... Lunchbox is jealous of that. They screen when I...
Starting point is 00:10:06 Amy, I'm not jealous of that. Trust me. They screen when they talk to me. Are you good? Did they scream when they talk to you? I don't... We measured the screams. It would definitely be... I don't remember hearing that time. Yeah, I don't. Yeah. Well, you guys weren't paying attention.
Starting point is 00:10:17 Guess not. I think we... Maybe it's just because Eddie was quiet for a while. Yeah. Well, I don't know. All right. Mary, Christina, Nicole. We'll see you guys tomorrow. Okay. All right. Thank you so.
Starting point is 00:10:27 You're welcome. Bye. That works. We don't have to go to lunch with them or anything. Well, we'll spin the wheel. You do. Oh, my gosh. Whomever loses the wheel spin. Has to go.
Starting point is 00:10:38 Ray, play me. Voice smell number, you know, I'm going to hold this. I think it's really interesting. And we're... Okay, hold the voicemails. I got two pretty good ones coming up in a little bit.
Starting point is 00:10:49 Let me run through some stories real quick. The price of finding love is $2,41.30. What do you mean? Prostitutes. No, I'm just kidding. It's like... Oh, I'm like, really? Like a matchmaker?
Starting point is 00:11:00 A lot of money. No, it's all the stuff. A paid app. It's all the stuff you have to do because you go on 15 dates before finding the one. You spend an average of $74 bucks on each day. You're talking about new clothes, on occasion. You've got new haircuts, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. So on average, it takes $2,041.30 to find love.
Starting point is 00:11:23 Amy, I hope you've been saving. Did we talk about on this show how in another country? I think so. but I do so many shows I forget like just different another country they let you off for a whole year
Starting point is 00:11:35 to go find love I don't remember that we did we did you remember that there's a country that lets students off for like a whole year
Starting point is 00:11:44 maybe it was China or maybe a semester to go find love because of the under population yeah so they give them a semester to go and find love so I remember talking about
Starting point is 00:11:54 you know time off to procreate well just to go and search to find to meet well I mean in England. It's not just a hump. You get the whole year off. I'm like, that's all you need to do. When you have a baby, you get a year off to take care of the baby. Yeah, but this is to do nothing except go and try to find a boyfriend, girlfriend, find somebody that gets you married so they can
Starting point is 00:12:12 have kids later. That's amazing. Because the country, they need it. They need people. Yeah, we don't have that problem here, do we? In America. Abby just needs 30 seconds off. For what? To find love. Why do you go after Abby? She's not even in the room. She didn't have microphones. She's doing anything. She's literally doing nothing. She's not even listening to us because she's working on something. A 13-year-old boy gets stuck in a claw machine because he was climbing into it to get a prize. Oh, no. He had to be free from a claw machine after he climbed in, hoping to score a prize,
Starting point is 00:12:39 and they had to do the whole thing where they'd unlock the machine, take it apart, get them out of there. I hate those things. They're so cool. No, they're not. You're never going to get anything. They grab whatever they're grabbing, and then they let go and then come up. It slips. Every single time.
Starting point is 00:12:50 They loosen that claw. Finally, a lucky customer at a Sheets convenience store bought a powerball ticket that won half a million bucks. Pennsylvania lottery official said the ticket was sold. it matched all the balls, but not the power ball. Imagine that. That's still a lot of money. Yeah. But, I mean, you miss one.
Starting point is 00:13:05 You just missed the power ball from being like, oof. Like, moldy, moldy, moldy. Lunchbox, is that one of the, you end it? Yeah. You would end it for $500,000? No, $500,000. Heck, no, you wouldn't.
Starting point is 00:13:19 You'd be super pumped. That would just be like, oh, crap. It'd be like, they say bronze medal winners are happier than silver metal winners in general, because if you win the silver medal, you're like, I was so close to first. Yeah. But if you're bronze,
Starting point is 00:13:30 There are two ahead of you see don't only have that thought. You're just like, man, awesome. You're glad you got a medal. You're a great job. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I guess it'd just be cooled out 500K. Yeah, would, yes.
Starting point is 00:13:38 And you were one ball away. No, but you are also one ball away from not having 500K if it wouldn't hit that fifth ball. Oh, that's one way to look at it. Yeah, that is from WTAE. Have you had the Starbucks gum? Do you know they have gum?
Starting point is 00:13:50 I'm talking to you. Me? Yeah. No. Oh, I thought you were talking to Mike. Sometimes I can't tell who you're looking at. Yeah, sometimes he looks at me. He's looking at Scoob.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Right. I was like, why does Amy look at me right now? Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I was like, he's looking at Mike right now. Here's the difference, ready? This is me looking at you. This is me looking at Mike. Well, now you're being obvious.
Starting point is 00:14:11 Even then it wasn't that obvious. So wait, Eddie, I rarely talk to Scuba though on air. No, you do a lot of time. You're like, was that good? And I'm like, yeah. And I'm not talking to you. No, on air. That's off air.
Starting point is 00:14:20 Oh, oh, oh, oh. No, you do when you're double checking like a song or whatever. Hey, are we going to song right now? And I'm like, I don't know, dude. But I think I yell Scoobba. I feel like I'm pretty... Or you say, Ray, are we going to song right now? Watch.
Starting point is 00:14:31 Hey, lunchbox, come over here. Go over. No, I get it because his head's really... Now, look at Scooba. Okay, now, I'll look at Scooba. Ready? No, no, you're being... No, it has to be organic.
Starting point is 00:14:41 Anyway. Amy. No, I have it. I don't think I have. Why? I didn't even know they had gum. And I ordered some... I ordered some espresso this morning.
Starting point is 00:14:49 I got like two hour sleep last night. And they were like, would you like to order with our gum? It's spirament, aspiratame and sugar-free gum. Asperame. Free. Oh, Oh, good. Okay.
Starting point is 00:15:01 Yeah. No, more aspartate. I don't think they would advertise it. I thought the thing that I literally, I know it's like, wow, they are really behind the times there. And then also, I thought you were saying, like, with your coffee, it was free. But you were saying, aspirateam free. Oh, boy. Oh, boy.
Starting point is 00:15:17 Oh, boy. Is it stimulating? Like, is it caffeine? No. If you have coffee breath, they've added it to their menu. Yeah, they're selling out. So I ordered it, and they were like, hey, would you like coffee gum? And I was like, taste like coffee, no, thank you.
Starting point is 00:15:29 And they were like, no, it's for, they didn't have a conversation with me, but it's like, it's for gum if you have coffee breath. Okay. Afterward. What is your Starbucks order normally? What is it straight up? I do. Okay, if I hot, just an almond milk latte straight up. That's it, like a tall, small.
Starting point is 00:15:46 And then if it's iced, I like to get that same order, but then that stuff on top that's like caramel frothy milk stuff. You know what I'm talking about? I checked out. I don't have any coffee stuff like that. I don't know what it is, so I was just letting you say it all. Cool. Yeah, I don't know what that is, so I stopped listening. I think it's called like cold brew foam.
Starting point is 00:16:07 Cold foam? Cold brew foam? Anybody know? I don't know. It's cold brew, like, ice coffee? Is that what that means? Yes. Oh. Anyway.
Starting point is 00:16:15 You don't drink coffee. Never had it. You? Well, I used to order a white chocolate mocha, but then I found out that was the same calories as a whopper. And I'm like, none of that, no more of that. So now I get a grande vanilla skinny latte. But it's weird. Hold on, hold on.
Starting point is 00:16:30 I take a second. When Amy's saying this stuff, I got so lost in her words, I stopped listening. You're going to explain what it is. So I need to go, Grande's the size. Yeah. So he's going to pay attention to you right now. Nice. I like it.
Starting point is 00:16:39 I know these because I know the sizes. Grande. I know tall and then grande in that order. It's really the only two I know. And skinny means it's not as big a cup. It means non-fat milk. Skinny I know from the housewife, which means it's skinnier. Non-fat milk.
Starting point is 00:16:53 All that's skinny is skinny margaritas. Sugar-free vanilla. Thank you. Boom. But what is it again? It's called a Grande Vanilla Scini Latte. Yeah, so don't ever make fun of me for my peanut tempe tacos.
Starting point is 00:17:05 Yeah. Yeah, we still will, though. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It is weird, though. When I order it like that, like, I'll take a grande vanilla skinny latte. When you say it like that too?
Starting point is 00:17:14 It's so weird. And then I'm like, why did I do that? Yeah, why? I don't know, because that's the way they talk. Did you say grande? Oh, yeah, grande, vanilla, vanilla, latte, yeah. It's just a weird thing I do. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:17:25 order on the app and then go get it? No, just drive through. Yeah, we do that all the time. Well, you drive through as well, you go, hey, Bobby, and they have it all ready for you. But you have to go through the line, though, right? Yeah, but you can get out and walk in and grab it. Yeah, but who cares? Out of the way. We go to the line in the car most times, because it's not really that long. Okay. I got some of the pickleball stuff
Starting point is 00:17:41 in from Roddick. Yes. It's not here. Eddie, I have your Cowboys paddle. That's what I'm talking about. Amy and Lunchbox ordered a set of two, so you both will get a paddle there, but I'm still missing a couple of things. I got some balls that you guys can split up amongst yourselves. Cool. Cool. So I get two paddles. You get one paddle. Nobody gets two paddles.
Starting point is 00:18:01 Oh, I didn't know who I was going to play. You only need one. You probably want five though, right for your kids. You don't do anything. We're going to take anything your kids. I mean. I wasn't going to be greedy, but you don't play with paddles on both hands. But I got to hit it to somebody. Yeah, you have one. I'm not getting your family paddles. By the way, Roddick's one who got the paddles. He just said, what do you need? So I just grabbed a bunch stuff off the website. And if you get two, that means there are people here in this room don't get anything. And that's not fair. Is it? No, he just said it's not fair.
Starting point is 00:18:27 But I'm waiting for another box to come in. I won't make any comments. That's not true. You're going to comment, so go ahead. Okay, I mean, there's just certain people in this room that have no one to play with, so they don't even need a paddle. Have you ever played in your life? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:39 When? What is that comment? When have you played? I've played in H-town. Okay. I've played... Wait, which town? I played over at the local park.
Starting point is 00:18:49 When? About a year ago. And who'd you play with? Neighbor. You and your neighbor? Just went out and played some pickleball? Yeah, my neighbor, they play pickleball, and so we played, and the kids ran on the other side of the court. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:02 Okay. Should we do a- Kristen and David are their names you need to know? Should we do a show? Christian Lee? No, not Chris and Lee. She doesn't live there anymore. What?
Starting point is 00:19:09 She moved out of the country. A show tournament? Yeah. No. Really? She got land. I don't know. Doubles?
Starting point is 00:19:15 Like you in Lunchbox and me and Amy? Oh, it'd be over for you started. You guys have never played, first of all. No, I would be on your team, and I have played pickleball. You have? Yes. I play in Colorado all the time. We're not doing a show tournament.
Starting point is 00:19:29 Also, I played at Bobby's house. We can do a show tournament, but there's got to be winners of the prizes and punishments. Punishments? Why is there always punishments? What's the point of doing it? For the prize. That's the most fun thing.
Starting point is 00:19:42 Prizes and punishment? Like, I started writing my Martin Van Buren paper, and I'm like, this is so stupid. Yeah, once I do again, Mike? I'm like riding it last night. I'm like, what am I doing it? What is that about again? I don't even remember.
Starting point is 00:19:52 Like, why am I even trying to learn this guy's life? Like, this is so dumb. Is he interesting? I mean, not really. Why are we doing it? Because he lost something, right? Oh, the citizen suit. Oh, that's right.
Starting point is 00:20:02 It's like these punishments are so dumb. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But you like it when happens to other people. Yeah, you think it's funny then. I had a teacher message me and said that she would grade your Martin Van Bion. Nah, we're good. Yeah, we're good. We're done here.
Starting point is 00:20:12 Thank you guys. Hope you have a great rest of the day. And we will see you tomorrow. Bye, everybody. Bye. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying.
