Starting point is 00:03:18 So we got here early, so this is actually before the show, and you'll hear this again, halfway through the show and we kind of started over. but so we'll do this half of it we'll take a break and then we'll come back and finish it after just a odd schedule because we have to fly to Vegas for no I have to go to L.A. on Wednesday for Keith Urban album release party I love Keith Urban I hate going to Los Angeles for this stuff it's miserable yeah because it's the flight
Starting point is 00:03:43 yeah it's the flight but then it's then coupled with IHeart Festival so then it's just exhausting and I'm dehydrated and all that yes the smogs don't really think as much anymore no no no no no That's what I hear. But because of that and because we have to work a little bit from California, we got her early, so we're going to knock some of this out.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Went pretty hard last night. Juan? Well, I'd been pretty good at just kind of maintaining. I've lost like 22 pounds or so, which has been pretty good. But I've stayed away mostly from sweets, and I order from a place, I forget what it was called, but I had two pieces of cake and four cookies. You can order a single slices of cake from someplace.
Starting point is 00:04:23 I think it's called like... That's cool. I know. Because who knew you could just get slices of cake from somewhere? Right, and a whole cake is just way too much. And it was $80 for the whole cake. When it's part of the dessert menu? The whole cake?
Starting point is 00:04:36 Like a slice of cake? No, Uber E's deliver. Oh, you didn't order from a restaurant? No. You just ordered. That's why I'm sad. Of course you get a slice of cake at a restaurant. Well, I, you did.
Starting point is 00:04:44 It's called Susie Cakes. Oh, I just drove by that place when we... I don't even know where it is. It's on my phone. Okay. I do. It's right by Kava, by the mall. Yeah, I saw it and...
Starting point is 00:04:53 And I was intrigued. I was ordering something for dinner last night because my wife and my schedule were so different. She had already cooked and eaten. And I was like, I'm just going to order something on the way home. And then I saw Susie cakes and then I ordered two specialty cake slices. One of them being a vanilla celebration cake. Oh. One of them being a classic marble cake, add for free, no extra charge. And then I had a chocolate chip cookie box of four chocolate chip cookies. So I went extremely hard last night. Was it good? Yes. Was it worth it? I don't know. But it was good. But worth it? I don't. I don't know. But worth it. I
Starting point is 00:05:25 I don't know because I felt, I kind of feel gross this morning. Not just because I ate it, just because I kind of felt gross, because I hadn't eaten like that in a while. My body feels like this. Didn't you feel like that right after you ate it? No, I felt pretty good right after you ate it. Yeah, because I love sweets. It's my favorite thing. Like, if it was like sweets or all of you guys and had to eliminate one, sorry, sorry, guys.
Starting point is 00:05:45 We're gone. Yeah, yeah, sorry, you're gone. So that's what I did last night. Did that, we started. Now we watched another episode of Season 3 now of the, of the, killing, which we'll talk about the killing season two coming up, which you may have heard that already in the show today, because I know we have that on Tuesday, Reviews Day coming up later, but we did some of that.
Starting point is 00:06:07 This is about it. Went to been early last night, and I got a bunch of sleep, but my body's not used to getting so much sleep, so now I can't really get my eyes all the way open, even though I got all the sleep. Whenever I come in and I get no sleep, I am on. Like I am dialed in. However, there's a wall that I hit, and when I hit the wall, I'm gone. So I just try to avoid the wall the whole time.
Starting point is 00:06:27 So are you good or gone? No, I'm not there yet. Oh. Like, I feel like I should get up and do jumping jacks or something. Yeah, my body is not used to getting sleep. Not, because I can look at my sleep number. I'll tell you how much sleep I got. I bet it was six hours at least.
Starting point is 00:06:44 That would be crazy. It was seven hours. Wow. Which I never get. That's good. Not straight. I have a, my score last night was 84, as you guys can see, which is really good for me. So got a good amount of sleep
Starting point is 00:06:56 You didn't watch football last night? None. I fell asleep. What? I know. I was so tired. I had some other content stuff to do after I finish work, which wasn't show related. But I did that.
Starting point is 00:07:10 I flipped it over and it was like 6 to 3 or something. That was close the whole time. And then I fell, when you say watch it, I watched some of it. I didn't stay up to watch it. I know at the end of the game, the Falcons ended up winning. Yeah. And I saw Drake Lennon, I scored a touchdowns in my fantasy team.
Starting point is 00:07:23 and both of them, I'm only, I hate playing multiple leagues. I'm a one league guy. I'm a one woman man. And I'm a one woman, two, and I hate playing in two leagues. One woman, man. I'm a one woman man. I'm a one team man per sport, meaning in football, I don't really have an NFL team. I have the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Starting point is 00:07:42 But you like the Cowboys. You want me to like the Cowboys. No, no, you like the Cowboys. I had a positive experience with the Cowboys. Yeah. I bet the Cowboys win the Super Bowl because you can, convinced me to do so. That was last year, though, right? No, it was this year.
Starting point is 00:07:56 We were sitting in my house. Oh, dang. And I had, like, $1,500 in my account, and you're, like, bet it on the Cowboys. And I was really considering it. It's flipping through. And I did. And they lost this week.
Starting point is 00:08:07 Did you pick the Saints to win when we did our bet? Last year. Last year. Oh, okay. That's one year away. Who did you pick this year? The Cowboys. No, that's not true.
Starting point is 00:08:19 That's not true. I think I did. Only Mike and I. The Cowboys are the Saints. I think it was a Cowboys. You might have gone Saints. I think it was a Cowboys, because I just think I just wanted everybody to suffer with me. And our team is what?
Starting point is 00:08:28 49ers. Ray has the night. Ray, you want us to like reevaluate that? Yeah. But I can't. I haven't. It's already bet. Right.
Starting point is 00:08:34 You can cash it out and we can switch up teams. Is that an option? But you don't get all your money back. Like you lose your money if you cash it out. Right. We'll lose a little bit, but I think we should switch it up to the Lions. I just don't feel this. You know they lost, right?
Starting point is 00:08:46 Right. That's fine. That was the time to bet it then. I don't, something weird with the 49ers and Christian McCaffrey out basically in months now. He's out. out. This is, it's just not good juju. If we could switch it up, I would ask the court if we possibly could.
Starting point is 00:09:00 I'm going to say no, but I'm going to look and see what our cash out option would be because it'll be lower than it was when we put it in. It's lower immediately. Oh, as soon as you make the bet. Yeah, because otherwise people would be doing that cash in out all the time. All right, Drive King, I'm logged in.
Starting point is 00:09:17 I believe we had 500, right? Do we invested? Dang. I hope I bet it. 500, that's a lot. I had a rough go this last week. Oh, me too, man. I had a rough go.
Starting point is 00:09:28 I was on Saturday, Saturday, like 8 p.m. I had like $200 in my account. Now I have 30. Well, it ebbs and flows. I know. Easy come, easy come, easy go. I lost like $1,000 in the Cowboys game. Stupid. Sorry, dude.
Starting point is 00:09:45 I don't understand. You know what? I think I have everybody... Oh, I was going to say, I don't think I bet it. I think had everybody's money better and better. I didn't bet it. It had been better if I wouldn't have, because I'd have got better odds right now.
Starting point is 00:09:54 if I had bet it then. So the wager is $500 to win $3,500. There is no, or wait, $500 to win $35, yeah. There's no cash out option on this one. So we cannot get our money bag. Let me make sure that's right. Why do we want to do that? We realize it's not good.
Starting point is 00:10:20 We don't. Ray's the only one. Ray, which is asking if we could. Yeah, so we bet San Francisco 49ers plus $600, bet $500, bet $500. as a group, 10 of us put in 50. My God, did I get everybody's money? Because I know some money didn't come. Oh my goodness.
Starting point is 00:10:34 I paid. I paid. I paid. If I didn't. I obviously paid. It wasn't on purpose. Let me look. I think Amy's saying she didn't pay.
Starting point is 00:10:44 So we need 10 people to have paid 50 bucks. Let's go look. Some of you guys don't want to give money sometimes. Okay. We'll give you cash. So we have... What are you digging? I thought you just said you paid.
Starting point is 00:10:58 I don't know if I did. Just tell me. That would tell me you didn't pay. But you just said you did pay. No, I think I did. Eddie, okay, so I'm one. Eddie two. Nice.
Starting point is 00:11:10 Uh-oh, that's it? Abby three. Amy four. Bam. I could have just taken Amy's money. Dang, Amy. No, I would have checked my Vimmo, I guess. You were going for the cash already.
Starting point is 00:11:26 Lunchbox five. Because I happen to have it. Raymond six. Kickoff Kevin 7 Mike Deistro 8 Morgan 9 So you're missing scuba My wife didn't send it
Starting point is 00:11:41 He said my wife didn't send it Because I don't do Venmo so I told her to send it Let me look because I wouldn't have known her name on Venmo And I don't know what her name is either but I know Oh wait wait wait no And if she did an I owe you cash then Yeah you're the one Okay I'm the one
Starting point is 00:11:55 Biggers So He was over there sitting there sitting there just letting it be me. I wasn't paying attention. I was listening to me. I think more of you guys hadn't paid, but Mike or somebody busted heads. Yeah, Mike reminded me for sure.
Starting point is 00:12:08 Oh, I definitely paid right when we did the bet. I was the first one to pay. Let's see. It could have been lunchbox. Probably. I wouldn't have doubted it. I wouldn't doubt it. When it's gambling, when I'm in, like lottery pools.
Starting point is 00:12:18 That's the one thing you're in. The first person in was Morgan. The second person in was Mike Deistro. The third person in was kickoff Kevin. The fourth person in was Raymond. The fifth person was lunchbox The sixth person was Abby Seventh was Eddie
Starting point is 00:12:34 Eighth was Amy Then there's me But we don't have one from scuba Man you guys must have beat me By minutes you jerk Minutes is pretty significant I'm saying like they must have Had their phone out during the show
Starting point is 00:12:44 I didn't do that Because you stay focused Yeah stay focused on what's going on That's good He gives his phone off during the show So if he ever has to look something up On his phone during he's like powered on Is Morgan Wallin gonna go to jail?
Starting point is 00:12:58 Oh no I think I thought, I saw that. Well, it's not that what he did, it's the total amount of things he did. And the last one was stolen that chair over the building. Yeah. So Life and Style Magazine said that Morgan Wallin is preparing to go to jail for 30 to 60 days from when he chucked a chair off a rooftop bar in Nashville. The source said, I don't think the prosecutors want him to skate away with no time.
Starting point is 00:13:20 People will think it's because of a celebrity status. In case you need refresher, Morgan allegedly threw a chair off a rooftop bar. It fell over 60 feet, almost landed on two nearby police officers. Now he's facing felony and misdemeanor charges. The hearing's been postponed in December, but it's not looking good. His lawyers tried to get him a slap on the wrist. The source says Morgan is being told best case is 30 to 60 day. Is this all that he's done though?
Starting point is 00:13:42 That's it. Illegally. I guess I just get his controversy confused in my head with other things. If this is all he did, I think jail's probably a little too much. There's going to be sticking people in jail, especially if nobody got hurt. If somebody got hurt, it's different. it's like if you crash a car into a tree in you're drunk and you crash a car into a person in you're drunk
Starting point is 00:14:03 and you kill them. You were drunk the same amount, but different things happen. But even if you get pulled over and you're drunk, you still go to jail. No, I'm saying, no, I'm saying the severity of it moves up. So you can be the same drunk person. The scale, right.
Starting point is 00:14:16 But whatever you get, whoever you connected with, the worse it gets, it is, if you kill somebody, it's way worse than if you crash into somebody, then if you crash into a tree, then if you just get pulled over, drunk and you hit nobody. You're still drunk, but it matters what also happened while you were drunk. So if he just threw a chair and it didn't hit anybody, that seems stupid. But even the lowest of the
Starting point is 00:14:38 drinking and drive in his jail time. No, no, it's not jail time. It is. Yes, you go to jail. You go to jail. You go to jail overnight. We're not talking about jail versus not jail. We're talking about that depending on who it affects is the severity of the penalty. So I'm not saying it's go to jail or not go to jail. I'm saying if the chair hits somebody, I get it if it's penalty is more severe. If it doesn't hit somebody, he should still be penalized, jail or not jail, but less severe. It just feels ridiculous that if that's it, they're proven a point with him to send him to jail for the chair that didn't hit anybody. Is it because they haven't had the hearing yet that the article has to say allegedly? Because like, it happened. Well, no, he hadn't been
Starting point is 00:15:17 convicted, so you have to say allegedly. Did they say allegedly? Yeah, the article does. Based on the chair throw her around the world. In case you need a refresher, allegedly threw a chair off rooftop bar. It fell over. See, fine, give him some community service. If this is this only thing, then you don't put him in jail for that. If it hit somebody and hurt somebody, yes. But don't they want to send a message that like don't throw chairs because you could hurt somebody? But what? But now you're penalizing him for being successful. The same thing they said that they were doing by not putting him in jail was giving him a slap on the wrist because he was famous. But you're going to prove a point with him because he has success. That's not fair. So if lunchbox threw a chair over the, he's not
Starting point is 00:15:55 successful. I mean, opposite of Morgan Wallen. Okay. Right? If you threw a chair off a building, what would they do to him? Yeah, what would you do to him? No, not Bobby. It depends if it hits anybody. Right. Didn't hit anyone. I would say that he doesn't need to go to jail. I would say he needs to find him and do some community service. That's the same thing that Morgan Wallen should face. Unless I'm forgetting about any other, did he get busted for like being drunk and fighting somebody at a bar once or something?
Starting point is 00:16:20 Nope. He got drunk and made out with a bunch of people. COVID. Allegedly. That was it. No, because that's when he had to make. is Saturday Night Live. Hold on. Mike is saying that because if he has other situations with the law I can understand them going, okay,
Starting point is 00:16:33 you've done this and this and this now we're going to put you in. But if not, it's stupid. I'm still not convinced it's not a publicity stunt because I just still cannot fathom him throwing a chair on the Broadway and not hitting anybody. I can if you're drinking.
Starting point is 00:16:50 No, no. Not hitting anyone. Broadway is champ. There's no gain in this is a publicity stunt. Like, in In no way whatsoever would anyone go, hey, if we throw a chair over and he gets in trouble, this would be good publicity. One, he doesn't need it. Two, what did it accomplish other than keeping a sign off of a bar downtown?
Starting point is 00:17:07 Yeah. But whose bar was he at when he threw the chair? Eric Churches. And what had it happened right before that? Eric Church and Morgan Wallen saw him came out. But also, when number one, didn't need help. And also, Church's bar, Church played like seven shows in a row there to sell it out.
Starting point is 00:17:20 He didn't need the publicity. So he did get arrested on public intoxication and disorder. conduct charges in 2020. And then following that, 2021 is when the incident happened of him on camera. But that's not illegal. No. And then now it's the chair thing. So those are the three things.
Starting point is 00:17:38 They shouldn't put him in jail. Justice for Morgan. Yeah. They're saying they're going to put him in jail for 30 days. I don't care who it is. A mug shot would be cool, though, you know, for the bad boy image. He probably has one. He probably has one.
Starting point is 00:17:49 He does have one. Oh, he does have one. We're good then. They put it on a shirt. He did. I thought that was Chris Young. I think it was Morgan Wallen And the guy put him on a shirt
Starting point is 00:17:59 Then Morgan Wallen took a picture with him Because he made it like the next day Oh Well Chris Young I think made his own shirts That sounds hey that tracks With his smugshot Yeah that tracks So
Starting point is 00:18:10 If he only has a public end talks And the chair did not hit anybody He should be in trouble But jail feels stupid Yeah Jail feels like too much Yeah. And also the point I'm making about
Starting point is 00:18:28 if your crime affects anybody, and this does not just him, but had it, yes, the penalty would and should be more severe. So, yeah, that's where I stand. Remember his mullet? That's funny. His moulot was awesome. He started a whole... Does he have it again?
Starting point is 00:18:47 No. I don't think he does, right? He's mulletless now, right? I think he's short here now. Yeah. Anyway, that's just for Morgans, what I say. unless we find out we miss something and then we always have the ability to go and be like, hey, we didn't know that. Okay, cool.
Starting point is 00:19:03 Amanda was about the $1.4 million fine for going $90 and a 55. So. Jail. But 90 to 55. That would be jail, though. But that's not, that's not $1.4 million fine worthy. No.
Starting point is 00:19:16 It could be jail. I think you guys have probably all done 35 over before. Yeah, but I think the law is like... What they say is 20 over is consider reckless driving. Okay. because I've gotten 20 over before. I've done that part of the highway where it's 55, you know. I go, I've looked and I've been like, oh, shoot, I'm going 85.
Starting point is 00:19:33 I've got pulled over for doing 78 and that because I thought it was a 70. It changes quick. And the officer was like, you know, I could take you to jail, I'll give you a reckless driving ticket. And I'm like, this thing, this should be faster here. I'd say that. I was like, yes, I did get, it's a long time ago. But Connor Cato was clocked at 90 and a 55.
Starting point is 00:19:52 After getting busted, he says he got a fine of $1.4 million. Which, this is going to be some sort of mess up. When he called the courthouse for clarification, he was told firmly by a lady on the phone that the fine was the fine. He could either pay it or show up in court. Later, it was learned the fine was a placeholder. In their e-citation software, the actual fine, $1,000. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:20:12 It's from the auto wire with that story. It's like people who wake up and have $4 million in their bank account. And it turns out it was just simply some sort of electronic malfunction. Maybe Morgan Wallen's jail time is a placeholder. I feel like it's people trying to prove a point. Oh, 30 to 60 days. We meant three to six days. They're doing exactly what they say they're not doing if they do put him in jail,
Starting point is 00:20:37 where they're going, well, we got to put him in jail because people will think we're letting him off because he's famous. But it seems to me that he's only going to jail because he's famous because you want to prove a point and put somebody famous in jail. So you're actually doing what you're saying you're not doing. This is America. Well, if I say that, our prisons are overcrowded, so they should, they'll put him in jail for double. Yeah, but he's not going to prison. You should, like, be able to gamble for your jail time. He's got to, like, county jail, right?
Starting point is 00:21:05 What do you mean? Well, you spin the wheel? Sort of. So you should go up. There should be, like, some dice or something. And it's like, okay, you've been given three years. Now, you can roll the dice, but it's all on paper view. We have to pay, like, five bucks, right?
Starting point is 00:21:16 This is how we raise money for schools. We all watch for, like, five bucks. And there's, like, ten people at once who do it so I can make a 30-minute show. and we kind of tell their story, but no violent crimes. It can't be murders. Children. Yeah, anything like that. It can't be that top tier.
Starting point is 00:21:32 It's got to be B minus tier and below. And it tells their story. John grew up in Sacramento, California. John's parents weren't together and he had to make some pretty tough life decisions. John robbed a bank. No one was injured, but it was John's third bank. He didn't have a weapon.
Starting point is 00:21:51 And now John, he did, but he didn't. No, he didn't. Trust me. I know John. He had a banana. It's not real. John, not a good dude. No.
Starting point is 00:21:57 But if he had a, if he had a weapon, I don't know that he can play. He can because he didn't shoot it. He can't shoot anybody. John now will roll for his life. His life. Well, what's going to happen is he's getting seven to ten years per the judge. And then it shows the judge, dunk, ding, ding.
Starting point is 00:22:12 John, based on all the evidence here and the jury's verdict, I'm going to give you seven to ten. Case dismissed. And it cuts to John. And John's like in his back room, like the boxers. And they're hitting their little pads. but John's rolling dice against the wall. Practicing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:26 Because that's what we used to do, roll dice against the wall at school. That's what athletes do in the locker room, too. They roll dice against the wall. Okay. So John's like rolling dice against the wall. Like getting loose. And he walks out and there's like a craps table.
Starting point is 00:22:38 But the only thing on the craps table is like the jail monopoly. Instead of all the little squares, it's just monopoly jail with a little jail guy on there. And it's like, all right, John, are you ready to do this? And on the thing on the jail, there are certain things you can land on. there is, if you hit a certain number, time in half. Time doubled. Oh, gosh.
Starting point is 00:22:59 If you hit the crazy one. Nobody's going to rip. But there's one. Oh, you risk it. This can even be roulette. You could risk it for the biscuit. This can be roulette where the green is death penalty. No.
Starting point is 00:23:09 If you're a roll, or there's a nonviolent crime. There's one death penalty. For jaywalking. There's one death penalty, but there's two, don't go to jail at all. Okay. I think I'd watch this show. This would be the show. show. Or there's also roll again.
Starting point is 00:23:26 You know, so there are all these, but maybe it's roulette. They are better than craps. Unless you're just assigning numbers to, and maybe it is, because I like the dice forming. That's actually you have in control of it. Rulet, you don't have control of it. They drop the ball. So maybe on the table, if you roll snake eyes, one-one, death penalty.
Starting point is 00:23:46 No, there, okay. I want to watch this. There can't be death penalty. There has to be, and they have to die immediately. No. Two one is like... Like games or something. Yeah, kind of.
Starting point is 00:23:57 But so, and then all the way up. So there are 12 options. And like the middle three options, the six, seven, and eight are you get the time you were, the judge said you get. And then all. And then 12 is you get a jail for free. Then no jail at all. Or maybe like 11 is that. And 12 is you don't go to jail at all and you get a million dollars.
Starting point is 00:24:18 Oh, that's nice. Because you got to balance out that death penalty. That death penalty is hardcore. So you kind of need 10, 11, and 12 to give you that, oh, wow, half my time, no time, and then no time plus a million dollars. Even out the board a little bit. Because you hit snake eyes? You immediately die. Hell, and then you have like eight lined up in a row.
Starting point is 00:24:38 That's crazy. I can't die. I like this, but I don't like the death part. Yeah, but you can air that in America. I think you're actually on to something, but there's no death penalty. Like this could maybe be something. Well, it depends what channel you want it on. You said paper.
Starting point is 00:24:53 If it's on Disney, I get it. No, definitely. But TLC, you can do it. No, definitely. Maybe you get beat up. Like in the shower. Like some guys walk in and shouting you? I'd rather get the death penalty.
Starting point is 00:25:08 Amy Spettish, just guys fighting in the shower. But there's like double time. There's maybe like six, seven and eight are good, but nine is normal amount of time. but in the prison where the, what's the family? Al Joppo? No, no, no, no. The Chrisleys went. Oh, opposite.
Starting point is 00:25:28 Okay. Wouldn't that be a fun game? I mean, yes, tell me the Chrisleys wouldn't roll to get out of jail free. Yeah, but then they could double their sentence. Or they can die. Anyway, that's a game I would do. I'd like to produce that game. Pitch that next time you go into one of those meetings.
Starting point is 00:25:44 Well, you got to pitch it to get into a meeting and have a feeling nobody would take me up on it, Mostly because the death penalty and also the judicial system is actually important in America. They don't want to put that on a roulette board. They don't really want to gamble on that. Yeah, but Morgan should not go to jail. All right. Ray, how long we've been going?
Starting point is 00:26:02 23. All right. Let's take a break. When we come back, it will be us after the show. All right. American soccer is about to explode. The World Cup is coming. Ramers sending on the only score at the chip.

Starting point is 00:26:37 The biggest decisions. If you're going to look at stats and numbers, he has no shot at making this World Cup team. And the truth about the U.S. national team. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if our team ends up in the quarterfinals or potentially a great run into the semifinals. The World Cup is almost here.

You're not just going to put your mind over it. Yep, yep, exactly. And if I can't walk up and over it, I'm going to go through it. Listen to Mind Over Mountain every Thursday on the IHeart radio app,

I feel like it was a little bit unbelievable until I really start making money. It's Financial Literacy Month, and the podcast, Eating While Broke,
Starting point is 00:30:18 is bringing real conversations about money, growth, and building your future. This month, hear from top streamer, Zoe Spencer, and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum-Pierre, as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up. If I'm outside with my parents and they're seeing all these people come up to me for pictures, it's like, what? Today now, obviously, it's like 100%. They believe everything.
Starting point is 00:30:41 But at first, it was just like, you got to go get a real job. There's an economic component to communities thriving. If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail. And what I mean by fell is they don't have money to pay for food. They cannot feed their kids. They do not have homes. Communities don't work unless there's money. flowing through them.
Starting point is 00:31:00 Listen to Eating While Broke from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Let's go to James, I've always mail from James. Raymondo. Morning, Bobby. Morning studio. I'm curious, exploit for material by Abby Lee Anderson. It's been about a week.
Starting point is 00:31:20 How's that streaming and tracking on the country top 100 or whatever? Maybe give us an update. Go get them, Abby. I love the Bob Ball family. Thanks. Appreciate that. I don't know. It's still too early to know.
Starting point is 00:31:33 I know that the last time I checked, it has not cracked the top 100. No? But you never know. I did see someone post that they were listening to it because the Bobby Bone Show Instagram account had reposted it. And then I looked further into it. And it was Abby that was listening to it. And it posted herself listening to it. Oh, my.
Starting point is 00:31:49 I thought it was just somebody listening to it. But then it was Abby who had done that. Like when you're on Instagram, is it one of the songs you can type in and play with, like, what you're doing? Oh, yeah, she says yes, you can. Okay. Well, let's just see about that. Well, that's cool. Dang, I was picturing someone, like, going through this ex-boyfriend material situation and posting about it, but it was savvy.
Starting point is 00:32:08 Because that's how songs go viral, right? Yeah. When they use them and stories and stuff? Yeah, we take a picture, boom. Let's say I'm going to put some music over the top of it. Wait, I'm the... Your ex-boyfriend. Why'd you do that, Bones?
Starting point is 00:32:20 Well, you are somebody's ex-boyfriend, right? A couple girls. There you go. You can. So you can do Abby Leanderson. Ex-boyfriend material. It's you and lunchbox both. Like you're both my ex-boyfriends.
Starting point is 00:32:33 Oh, gosh. Cute. Yeah, you sure can. That's cool. Boom. That's fun. What's up? Do you all have any of your songs like that?
Starting point is 00:32:46 Every one of them. If you can put up on like the DSPs. Oh, you're just in the thing. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Oh, the DSP. What's the digital service provider? Digital provider. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:32:55 Duh. That was a big acronym, dude. It's used with me so much. I think it is just a commonly used to acronym, which I'm being reminded it is not. No. DSP? DSP, yes. All right, cool.
Starting point is 00:33:08 You down with DSP? Yeah, you know me. It may not even be digital service provider. Maybe digital... That sounds right. I know. D.S. Song. Digital song provider?
Starting point is 00:33:19 Yeah. Mike, will you look and see what DSP even means? It's like you just... Now, here it is. A digital service provider. Is that what I said? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:27 A digital service... Okay, so a DSP is loaded up on the DSP. Now, I've heard it so much. I just say it. A digital service provider is something like an Iheart, an Amazon, a Spotify, and Apple. Yeah. So it's an online store or streaming service that features digital albums and singles. Okay. I'll talk to Zach on line one. If we can, Ray. Hey, Zach. Hey, Zach. What's up, buddy? It's Bobby. Hey, what's up, Bobby? Hey, you're on the air. What's up? Hey, what's going on? What's up? Morning studio. Morning. That was quicker than I expected. How are you doing this morning? That's what she said. Hey-oh. Hey.
Starting point is 00:34:15 You're pretty good. Hey, what's up? Asa, what's going on? What's up? Hey, so I had a little celebrity in the wild story. Where did you see me? Where were you? Well, I was in Nashville.
Starting point is 00:34:28 Okay. Or close by. So I was just seeing if y'all wanted to get. Who play a game? Where were you close by? Okay, I'll ask you some questions. We'll do, uh... He was close by what?
Starting point is 00:34:41 My first question. What's up? I don't want to give it a play. Oh. Is it a guy or girl? Wait, is it... Okay, yes or no questions. Is it a guy?
Starting point is 00:34:50 Yes or no, yes. I like how he knows what he wants to do. Uh, as a guy, yes. Okay. Uh, country artist. Was it lunchbox? Not, actually. It was not lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:35:05 Okay. Because he wouldn't be a country. Was it you? Bobby? Was it Bobby? I wasn't around much. He said near. No, I didn't see Bobby.
Starting point is 00:35:13 Well, when was this? Well, we can't say that. Was it this last weekend? Oh, why would you be like, eh, kind of? Is it like Shaboozy? Wait, he would be an artist. He would be definitely an artist. I know, but he's like, where does he fall?
Starting point is 00:35:28 Oh, Post Malone. It's Post Malone. Yeah. It's Post Malone. No. You know Post Malone? I told you tried to rent my old house. Yeah, that's cool.
Starting point is 00:35:37 Before we sold it. He wanted to, like, lease it for three or four months. Oh, I would have done that. You imagine the parties there, dude. Are you kidding? I want to lease it. What? The parties? I know. I don't want the whole thing smell like cigarettes. I'm sure they'd have been...
Starting point is 00:35:49 Well, there's a deposit. You got to pay on it too, but we just wanted to sell it. Okay. Is it somebody over 40? Somebody over 50? No. Kind of an artist. Kind of. 40 to 50 is hard to tell. Do we... Have they been on the show in the last year? So they look like us. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:11 But you were hesitant if they were a country artist? Yeah. Well, I'm... It's producer Eddie. Oh, is it one of us from the morning show? Yeah. Oh, it's Eddie. Is it me?
Starting point is 00:36:27 Is it Eddie? Eddie. Eddie, I saw Eddie at his son's basketball game. Yeah. That's funny. Yeah, he came up and said hi. Oh, you remember him. Yeah, I didn't bother him because, you know, he's with his family,
Starting point is 00:36:41 but I gave him my dad's, and he said, what up, super nice. So, yeah, it was Eddie. Are you from Nashville, or were you visiting? No, I'm from Nashville. ball game. Okay, well, you don't know. Maybe like a nephew or something. It kind of sounded like he was like a recruiter. He was like, maybe he was scouting town. Like, my son
Starting point is 00:36:58 was playing against Eddie's son. Okay. And how did your son do? He did okay. Yeah, they want. And Eddie's son's a baller, dude. Thank you. I appreciate that. And he was sick, too, so I kind of forced him to go. In flu game, Jordan Flew game, for sure.
Starting point is 00:37:14 Adopted or bio? No bio. Oh, that's nice to hear when he's athletic. Yeah, because Ed has Eddie's not. You're right. It's not that you're not, but you're not. You're like, if I had a really athletic kid and he was super athletic, everybody would be surprised. I don't want to sound like Scova here, but again, if my dad would have played sports with me more, I would have been better. Eddie, I'm telling you, you are not naturally an athlete. I am not naturally an athlete. I work hard to be athletic and I'm in shape.
Starting point is 00:37:44 But neither one of us are someone who people would watch our bodies move and go, that's an athlete. even over 40. We're not natural athletes. Did your dad play sports with you growing up? I didn't have a dad. And my dad didn't play with me growing up. I didn't have a dad and I'm still more of an athlete than you. And I'm not even an athlete.
Starting point is 00:37:59 What he's saying is your dad would only help so much because your natural athleticism wasn't there compared to other people. But I'm saying that about me too. I don't know, man. He could have started honing in on it at a younger age. But honing is okay because he could have been, his body doesn't move like dad of an athlete. Neither does mine. But you can make it move. No, no.
Starting point is 00:38:17 Your youngest adopted. his body moved Athletic. Different guy. That's why I asked the question. I would say both of your adopted children are athletes. And they get it from me.
Starting point is 00:38:28 They do not because that's not genetic. You really think you're an athlete? Yeah. Yeah. And I think that if I would have started much younger with dad in the backyard. But athleticism is not that. That's not athleticism.
Starting point is 00:38:42 Because you would at least be able to run fast or like jump high. Coaches used to say like, hey, you're an athlete. No, trying to convince you just to work hard. You're an athlete. Like, you can do it. Because they would say, too, like, it's not like you're not athletic. Like, they would say stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:38:55 But that means you're not athletic, but keep pushing. Is that what that meant? Yeah. Again, I say like that to you, like I say that to me. Like, I have never been naturally a great athlete, but I have worked to be really good at things to make up for my lack of athleticism. But there's only a point you can reach if you have that lack of athleticism. And you have that lack.
Starting point is 00:39:15 My point is, my point is, Your children that are biological yours, they're athletes, were surprised when they're athletic. I don't know, man. I spent a lot of time with them in the backyard. Getting them ready. There's a difference in skilled and athletic. Is your wife athletic?
Starting point is 00:39:32 No. But were her parents? No. Nobody was an athlete? No. Because I also am surprised at how athletic Eddie's son is. Was your dad athletic? No.
Starting point is 00:39:42 Obviously, he was. My mom's kind of athlete. She was athletic. She played sports in high school. Somewhere in that. family tree, there's natural athletes. Again, in the NFL, they act like some people aren't as athletic. But they're in the NFL and they're still very athletic.
Starting point is 00:39:55 Like, there's a difference in natural athleticism. Yeah, it doesn't always like... Very skilled. Because, like, my dad was really athletic and I'm not. Correct. I mean, Scoob almost made the NBA. Well, if he'd have been six inches taller. No, no, he just said if he would have worked target.
Starting point is 00:40:09 Oh, is that what I was? I was lacking confidence. That was it. You think confidence is like more than 50% of what it matters. You're out of your mind. And I think the rest of it, you can learn, or get good at or because of your You are out of your skull
Starting point is 00:40:21 if you think 50% is confidence. Wait, wait, you think. It's a big confidence thing. I think a lot of it's going to be in your mind. You think over 50% is just confidence? Yes, confidence alone because then with confidence comes everything else because of the confidence.
Starting point is 00:40:33 You guys are crazy. I think confidence. Sure, some are born that way. No, when you're 6 foot 5, it's easy to be confident. Like that's what helps. Hey, look at some NFL players. They're all not 6 foot 5. They're like 5, 3.
Starting point is 00:40:42 You know, 99% But they're running 424440s. Like you don't have a, No, no, that's not confidence. That's natural athletic ability. With confidence. Like, confidence maybe allows you if you're borderline to be like an all-district player when you're not in high school. Yeah, but thoughts can throw you.
Starting point is 00:40:59 Thoughts are great to take you or lower you about a point and a half. That's it. But you can take a six-foot-eight guy, right, who's not athletic and make them into a really good basketball player. No. Yes, you can. No. Brody-Goberer. He's not a great basketball player.
Starting point is 00:41:14 He's a premier athlete. He's a premier athlete. He's a premier athlete. gotten there. No. Oh my gosh. You guys are so confused at what you're seeing on TV versus real life. You're like, it's like if you see Hillary Swank like in the office, we're like, is she hot or not? If you saw her in real life, you'd be like, she's a knockout.
Starting point is 00:41:31 Because you see it on TV versus with other supermodels, you're like, I don't think she's that hot. But if she walked in a room, you'd be like, oh my God. Rudy Gavere's 7-1. Right. Which they made him into a good athlete. There are 7-1s that couldn't do it. They can't run down to court. Yeah, we had a kid in our high school.
Starting point is 00:41:49 He was like 6'10 and he could not get on the court because he couldn't even handle, he couldn't catch the ball. Like they tried to make him a basketball player and he couldn't do it. Because his dad. He just weren't around sports enough. He was tripping over his own feet. Like he just wasn't, and I think it was so tall. Dad would have spent time with him in the backyard.
Starting point is 00:42:06 Exactly. So he's there. So what's his problem? Confidence. Lacking confidence. Six foot 10, he's there. He just couldn't do it. You can lack confidence and it can keep you from something,
Starting point is 00:42:14 but all the confidence in the world isn't going to make you something. I bet you, we're all a little right. I think we all of us. I think they're a mixed. I just said confidence can take you up or down about a point in a half. That's it.
Starting point is 00:42:24 There's a ceiling. There are really good college players who have all the confidence in the world who are also really good in college who can't make it in the NBA because they do not have the athleticism. Well, we're talking about kids sports, but yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:36 No, no, we're talking about in general. We're talking about my son. We're talking about you, not even your son. Wow. I think we're all right a little bit. Lunchbox and I'll die on this hill. I know you. you next time do a 25 whistles or a too much access,
Starting point is 00:42:49 unbiasedly just ask the question without any like giggling about it. Just say, hey, I want to ask you, is confidence playing into, you know, an athlete? Of course it plays into it, but you already have to be, but then you can't be mid and have a ton of confidence and then be great. Look, here's a picture of Rudy Gobert playing basketball. I like four. Yeah, you can find a picture of me doing that too. But his chair is played on the national team.
Starting point is 00:43:13 Athleticism, genetic athleticism. He looks like he's been playing since he's been boring. What's up? What's up? Our whole thing is, that's cool your son's play so well. Yeah, yeah. Thank you, man. Is our buddy still in the line?
Starting point is 00:43:25 Yeah. Zach's still there. Zach? Yeah, you're here. You're in real life? I'm loving the conversation. Okay. Well, hey, thank you for calling in.
Starting point is 00:43:38 I hope you had a really good time with Eddie. And you guys should hang out again sometime. Oh, no. We just dab. That's it. Well, you should do more than that. Yeah. You should hang out.
Starting point is 00:43:45 Okay. Yeah. We need to play some golf. What we need to do. You remember. Anywhere, Zach, can you get Eddie on? Because he'll come play with you. I've been off north of Nashville.
Starting point is 00:43:57 Eddie's like the nicest guy in the whole world. Eddie will show up and play golf with anybody and just be like your best friend. I'm not even kidding. And I can play golf too. I got some free passes to Eastland, too. I played in the tournament this past weekend and won those. There you go.
Starting point is 00:44:09 Zach, what's your number, man? Wait, you played in the tournament and won? Like, you won? No, I won some free passes. We didn't win. We won third. We shot like 18 under. That's great.
Starting point is 00:44:22 Pretty good guy. You cheated a little bit, huh? No, actually, we didn't. But I had some really good players on my team that helped carry me through. Did you, Zach, do you have an old guy in your team? I'm definitely no scratch golf. No, well, that's what we need. We need us, 65 and older so they can shoot from the front team.
Starting point is 00:44:39 Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, like, I mean, like, let's take it Sam Hunt for example. He plays football. Does he play, I mean, these people are natural athletes. Like, when they're good at one sport, they're just great at another sport. Hand-eye coordination, understanding what their body. There's some people like that. That's a natural athlete.
Starting point is 00:44:56 Oh my God. There are some people that are natural athletes. Our whole point was it's awesome that your son is athletic because from hanging out and knowing you, you're not a natural athlete. You will work hard and you definitely have gotten better at things. But there's a ceiling for people like us. Yeah. And no one will watch you play and move around tennis, basketball, and go, oh, that guy's
Starting point is 00:45:13 natural athlete. He's just rough around the edges. They'll just go like, oh, it's kind of awkward. But if your son's an athlete, that's really cool because he must have got. Got it from somewhere. Somewhere down the line. Like you give a lot of effort. Medium.
Starting point is 00:45:26 Well, I'm saying like, okay. No, I give effort. I'm saying like in sports. Consistent medium. Not full? No, always. Consistent medium effort. Oh.
Starting point is 00:45:35 But consistent full effort. Nobody can go all the time, 100% all the time. They'll die. Okay. You know? I'll take the medium then. Yeah. Consistency is the hardest thing to produce of all the things.
Starting point is 00:45:48 I didn't see this going here. I mean, that was interesting. It is interesting. Do we ever know where the frigging post show is going to go? No. There's no blueprint. Zach, thank you for the call, man. Hope you have a great rest of the day.
Starting point is 00:46:00 That's lovely guys. You too, thanks. All right, bye-bye. See? Zach sounds like a good dude. Zach does sound like a good dude. A long ago we talk to him, and more want to hang out with him.
Starting point is 00:46:10 We want to talk about Eddie's punishment for lunchbox real quick before we wrap this. Remember lunchbox? Or before we go to commercial. Lunchbox was... Allegedly? No. Still. No.
Starting point is 00:46:19 Follow the rules. on what clothes to wear when guests come to the studio. Right. The rule was you have to wear pants. That's not much of an ask. Just pants. That's not much of an ask. If a guest is coming in,
Starting point is 00:46:30 we all get it sent to us, just wear pants. Not dress pants. A jeans. Not jeans, really even. Just pants. Literally pants. No, not Adidas pants. Yeah, that's what he's wearing out.
Starting point is 00:46:39 No, I thought we couldn't wear sweat pants. Well, it was just supposed to be like pants you would wear if you were going to dinner. Any dinner at all. But the way lunchbox goes to dinner, he wears anything. But he still wasn't. He's still in shorts. Correct.
Starting point is 00:46:49 Really like high, running shorts. And so we said, Eddie, come up with a punishment. We'll decide if your punishment's suitable. Eddie, go ahead. I mean, since he wants to wear loungeware in the studio when guests are here, I mean, let's just
Starting point is 00:47:01 go full loungeware then. Let's wear speedo for a whole week. Wait, what? Just a speedo. You want him to swim next to that? No, no, I want him to just a speedo. He wants to be comfortable.
Starting point is 00:47:12 He wants to be comfortable. He wants to be comfortable in the studio. You want him just sitting there like a swimmer. Just a speedo. Not necessarily shirtless, but definitely pantless. Like, wear the speedo. Okay. This is, I don't, I can't sign off on this.
Starting point is 00:47:23 You want to be comfortable, man. But that's not comfortable. The problem is that would make me uncomfortable. And I feel like if he has to pay off a bet, I shouldn't have to be uncomfortable. Huh. But wouldn't it be. But you understand the problem? And I would be so distracted and it would constantly be something we needed to talk about because it would be on my mind. But you wouldn't think about it unless he just got up. I would always think about it.
Starting point is 00:47:42 But he gets up. I get up quite a bit. It would be imprinted in my skull. I know. Before he stands up, I need to, a warning so I can close him. my eyes. Okay, so you're O for one. You get one more shot. You don't like the speed or idea? No, because that hurts me. I don't, I shouldn't be punished because he's not wearing pants. Let me go back to the drawing board. Go back to the drawing board. That's all I had. Go back to the draw on. Get some confidence. Okay. Because that's 50% of it. Like Scoba said, you're loaded with confidence. You're low to confidence. Scoba, do you really feel like you could have
Starting point is 00:48:09 made at least like D1 college ball player with more confidence? Easily like, even like UCF when I was growing up there. I could have made that team. Maybe. You don't really. This is a bit. This is a bit. You're kidding. You're just saying it. Hey. Hey. You say maybe. Have you ever seen a D1, like, basketball players? It's possible, man. You're doing a bit with us trying to anger us. No, man, if you had talked to me back when I was nine, for sure. What about when you were 17?
Starting point is 00:48:32 17, at that point, I already given up on everything. But do you think you could have made it? Everything. How do you really focused? Do you think you could have been a D1 basketball player? About it kept with it from nine going to then? Yes, I was already playing for the junior magic at that age. We were playing at the arena in Orlando.
Starting point is 00:48:46 I wasn't a really good team. I hear you, but at nine, everybody grows differently. Like you might have been bigger than the other kids at 9. But at 19, you had stopped growing because you're my height. I'm not worried about the height, though. I feel like it's just the build and I was strong and athletic and could do a lot with my body. I hear you, the height's a big part of basketball. Were you the point guard?
Starting point is 00:49:08 Yes, I was the guy bringing the ball up, yeah. Okay. I was a mover. I could move the ball around. I'm going to say it would have surprised me if scuba would have been a D1 basketball player. Not based on it how hard he works. Now, like, walk-on is different than scholarship. Dude, do you say scholarship?
Starting point is 00:49:25 But even to make it as a walk-on? Like, you can walk on, but you don't make it. I don't, I don't, I don't, I don't. You know what? Scoob would have been starting the NBA. I don't give crap anymore. I'm tired. Is this a bit?
