Welcome to Tuesday show.
Morning, sir, dear.
Morning.
Lunchbox wants to know if I know anything about a rumor about Dirk's Bentley.
What is it?
Yeah, there are rumors flying around on Survivor message boards and very credible
survivor people that Dirk's is going to be on season 49 of Survivor.
Are you asking me if I know?
Yeah, I'm asking you, do you know?
Like, what is going on?
I mean, this one person that does Survivor rumors and put it on Instagram is like,
there's a very well person out of Nashville.
And then it has Dirk's song playing in the background is going to be on season 49.
and I'm like, oh my goodness.
When do they announce that?
Not now, not soon.
Not that I know of.
What's the clip we have here?
This is the guy talking about it.
Go ahead.
Somebody applying for 49, who's very accomplished, known around the world.
They too are going through the same casting process,
the same way every other player did,
because this is everything.
We have to know you.
We have to anticipate you.
That's Jeff Proops on that dude's little Instagram talking about like it.
Jeff Probst.
Yeah, that's him saying if they're a celebrity, they go through the same process as everybody
else.
And so everybody's saying it's dirt.
Kind of.
Except not really.
Kind of, but not really.
You skip a few steps, but then you, okay.
I have no idea.
I think if he's on, he's not able to tell anybody.
Even if you did know, you're not going to say.
That's exactly right.
So am I telling the truth that I have no idea?
But I have no idea.
And they don't want to keep that a secret, obviously.
because even when I did dancing with the stars,
I could say nothing.
It was under a complete lock
until the announcement came out
until I had to dance my little butt
on Good Morning America
and I was like, what am I getting myself into?
So yeah, nobody had any idea.
Oh, man, okay.
But are they not taping that season already?
It's probably already taped.
Okay.
I don't know what the situation is.
Yeah, I would think it's already taped
because that's how they find,
I mean, maybe text him to see what he's doing right now.
See what he's doing?
Filming is slated to take place from mid-April to mid-May 2025, so it's not taped.
And I can tell you in the past couple weeks, I've texted with Darks a couple of times.
Oh.
So I...
Let me see about his tour this year.
Where do they shoot that?
They usually shoot it in...
It doesn't say here.
Where do they do it?
Fiji.
I'm shocked, you don't know.
Well, no, they do it a lot of different places.
No, no, now they've been doing it in the same location every time because of the water shots and the beauty of...
March 14th.
in Glasgow United Kingdom.
Oh, but he said it said April, right, Mike?
Oh, April.
Okay.
Mid-April to May 2025.
Okay.
Let's go back to his dates.
March 15th, he's in London.
Oh, overseas.
March 16th, he's in Belfast, United Kingdom.
Oh, my gosh, he's across the pond.
He's in North, hold on.
That's by Australia.
Yeah, it's way, way, way.
But closer than here.
He is in, okay.
He is in North Lawrence, Ohio,
on the 11th of the 14th of June.
June.
That's not close to.
You just missed the whole thing.
Wow, it means he's not touring.
Yeah, you missed the whole gap.
Okay, I mean, yeah, this could be legit.
Context close.
Man, that's...
That whole gap of when they're filming.
Yeah, that's...
It's wide open for him because he has no tour dates.
That's wild.
Did I just break the case?
Huh?
Is the case broken?
I mean, maybe.
I mean, there's a gap there.
That's all we got.
You didn't let the case be broken.
You'd have already found.
I know, I know.
You sniffed the wrong trail.
I was like, that's not close.
I'm like, Ohio.
Yes, it's mid-April to mid-May for Survivor 49.
That's from their Survivor casting website.
And I see nothing that would lead me to think it couldn't be Dirks.
I have talked to Dirks a couple times in the past couple weeks,
mostly, well, only about pickleball.
Is he doing any training?
Again, only about pickleball.
How's Dirk's is swimming?
Like, has even, does he have a pool?
about pickleball.
That's literally it.
You mean like in general?
Why do they swim a lot on Survivor?
Oh, yeah.
Oh, I don't watch it.
And the challenges and you got to dive down to untie knots and release
buoys and get puzzle pieces.
I mean, if you can't swim, you're in trouble on Survivor.
That's why I'm going to take swimming lessons eventually.
For Survivor.
Dude, you're like 80 now.
It's too late.
Well, Dirk's is older than.
Yeah.
Yeah, but look at Dirk.
Dirk's been training.
He's ripped.
Dirk's just like Mr. Outdoors, though.
He like rides bikes.
Oh, for sure.
I just didn't know.
But you're also not applying.
Like you talk to talk, but you never walk to walk.
We're not even sure your feet work, if we're being honest.
What do you mean?
Because you don't walk to walk.
The problem is, I don't want to go through the whole casting process.
No, we're talking about in general and line.
And get cast and then you guys be like, oh, you can't take off work.
And then Survivor will never talk to me again.
If it's only one month, you can take off work.
I've said that multiple times.
You're making excuses, luncheon.
He makes more excuses than anybody in the history of the show.
There's no more excuses.
Survivor here.
Come.
Okay.
Season 51.
Fifty-one seasons?
Is crazy.
What season is this now?
49 right now.
So 50 is going to be like a reunion.
Mega one of like all past contestants from other seasons.
So I won't be able to get on that one.
That's going to be like the best of the best.
So now you've got two seasons to train.
Oh yeah.
I got to find a swim coach.
To train.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I got to learn how to swim.
Like you don't know how to swim at all.
No, I can doggie paddle.
That's not going to cut it.
That's not going to cut it.
I can't dive down and get rings off the bottom of the pool.
My ears start popping.
At the bottom of a pool?
Do I think you have ear problems?
They're not going to let you in.
If you have that kind of medical issue.
And I got to practice untying knots.
I mean, they do that on Survivor.
I mean, I got a lot to go.
I got a tough.
Sounds like you should just be a Boy Scout.
Like you should just go and join the Boy Scouts.
I have no idea.
If Darks is on, if I did, I wouldn't say anything.
But it does look like there's a gap in his touring.
I didn't even know he's rumor to be on.
I'm going to send him a DM on Twitter and be like,
hey, man, are you trying to survive or what?
Oh, I got to do Instagram.
That's right. I forgot I got my Twitter.
Your Twitter has been blogged.
crap!
He forgot.
Okay, we're done here.
All right, let's get going.
Thank you guys.
Eddie had to take away one of his kids' Christmas presents.
What happened?
I don't understand, man.
We got them this Christmas present.
They were walkie-talkies.
For the kids to go around the neighborhood and talk.
And it's all fun, right?
They loved it.
They played with them for like two days.
And then I heard them like talking, but not to each other.
They were talking to like someone else on the Waukee talking.
And I'm like, what is happening?
So I investigated.
Yeah.
Oh, no, no, no.
So I investigated.
Turns out that these things are so good now, they talk to truckers.
And they were like 10-4, 10-4 over and out.
Who's farting out there?
And I'm like, what is happening?
And these truckers would be like, yeah, who is it out there?
What are you?
How old are you, kid?
You five years old?
What's going on here?
I'm like, I took them away right away.
Yeah, that's weird.
Well, it's not like the truckers are hitting them up on DM.
But still, the fact that they can talk to truckers, uh-uh.
Or they can even hear their conversations.
Truckers talk about lot lizards and stuff, hey, you don't want that?
Did you hear that or are you just going by?
No, I didn't hear that.
Okay, so what I'm guessing is, by the way, it had been different if the truckers were like sliding into the DM and being like, hey, kid, let's talk.
Right.
But imagine as someone who, you know, has their CDL, has driven a little truck myself.
You get on the open road, you get bored.
Imagine like an old lady or a kid comes on or somebody that's a, that's fun.
You're like, hey, what's up, kid?
You're not really purving out.
I'm not saying you shouldn't take them away, but I think it's different if your kid's going at it than if they're coming out your kid.
I mean, the kids were having fun with it, but that's what kind of worried about it?
Like, what if the trucker's like, oh, where are you at, kid?
What's your address?
Okay, but you're doing a lot of what if this happens, but your kids are the one that started.
Well, but that's what you have to do too when your parents.
though. You have to think through the what-ifs.
But it's a walkie-talkie.
So they can have nothing? Do they have a phone?
Well, not the little ones, no.
16-year-old does that, right?
Yeah, but he wasn't part of it. It's the little ones.
You have to watch out. But you can let them have the walkie-talkies, but just they don't talk to truckers.
So that's just the rule?
And they're going to break it.
That's hilarious.
They love talking to the truckers.
We had a CB when I was a kid, we got at like a yard sale.
I talked truckers all the time.
And they never once came to the house.
You felt safe?
Nobody ever came and trucked me.
Do they ask you?
Never once.
Anything.
I'll learn like, what's your 20.
You know?
Yeah, that's a location.
Yeah.
See, if I hear that, though, with that's a kid, what's your 20?
That's like part of life.
Oh, no, they don't need to do that.
That's not good.
Amy, should he take the walkie-talkies away?
No, I think that we can have the walkie-talkies, but there needs to be some boundaries
around them.
Lunchbox?
No, dude, you talk to truckers when you were a kid.
Let it go.
Like, it's the same thing.
You're becoming an helicopter parent.
They're having fun.
It isn't a big helicopter.
And the guy's saying, hey, who's farting out there?
That's funny.
Like, they're interacting with the kids.
Isn't that what you want?
Let them go out explore, use the walkie-talkies.
You're being a helicopter, dad.
All right.
I think it is good to know so you can monitor it.
All my truck driving buddies, good dudes, salt to the area.
Oh, yeah, good guys.
Not trying to get with kids.
But they should know to never give their location and not to say their real name.
And as long as they don't do that, let them screw with the truckers.
Truckers do think it's funny.
So have their own handle.
That's fun, yeah.
Yeah, like make up their own little handle.
No, they don't have one yet.
They didn't have time.
I took it away.
I think they can have the.
Okay.
Vote. Vote. Vote yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yeah. I'm yes. Mike. Oh, yeah. My dad's a trucker.
Good guy. What have you been talking to your dad? Mike's dad. All right. Give him back.
Okay.
Hello, Bobby Vones. My husband has been making big decisions that affect both of us. Like planning vacations, buying furniture without consulting me first. I feel like I'm being left out. But when I bring it up, he says,
Having to check in with me on every decision will kill the spontaneity and keep him from being able to surprise me.
I don't know where to draw the line at what constitutes a big decision.
So I don't know what the solution is here.
It's not until after the decision has been made that I know I wanted to be involved.
Do you have any advice how to solve this problem?
Signed wife out of the loop.
Yeah, I would say, first of all, this is just an excuse by him.
I don't want to surprise you.
He's full of crap.
Oh, totally?
Yes, because buying furniture and planning vacations, that's not a surprise.
That's something you do together.
He just thinks that you're dragging him down.
Okay, well, that part sort of won me over.
Like, I was on her side, like, oh, he's disrespecting you.
He needs to talk to you.
And then I was like, ooh, fun vacation surprise.
Yeah, he's planning stuff that maybe you wouldn't fully love.
Okay.
He's buying furniture that maybe you wouldn't fully love, or you wouldn't feel this way.
You only feel like you're not getting to make the decisions because, yeah,
hasn't made every decision right to what you feel will be perfect. And that's what a surprise should be.
So you can remove that logic immediately. So in general, I know a lot of couples, they go, well,
if you're going to buy something more than this price, let's check in with each other. So we're both cool on it.
It could be $150,000. It could be $800,000, depending on relatively how much money you have.
I think that goes into this as well. So, hey, your surprises, they've been.
great. Obviously, they haven't been that great. But if we're going to spend any amount of money
over, you set the limit, $200, or if we're going to spend any amount of time over 24 hours,
you got to check with me because it's significant. You can turn it into the financial part of it.
And had you been nailing these with perfect surprises, this would not be an email to us because
you would just go, he's crushing it. This is awesome. So I think you go to that. You go, look,
I come to you if we spend over 200 books.
You have to come to me.
It doesn't matter.
The vacations, it's been great.
By the way, make it compliment him on the vacations and buying the furniture, but that you'll do
the same.
Make it the money.
Draw the line there.
And I think that'll help more than just, hey, your surprises suck.
That'd be my answer, Amy.
Yeah, no.
I love that you added in the time frame too.
Like, hey, if this is going to take us more than a day or a weekend or a trip, yeah,
like we need to be included.
And yeah, I think most couples that I know have that dollar amount that they talk about.
And the vacation of the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Hall of Fame is not for both of you, okay?
That's just for him.
Surprise.
Yeah, I got.
Here we go.
And I got a huge beanbag chair for furniture.
Surprise.
Big screen TV.
Yeah, that's some bull crap.
So that's what I would suggest.
Thank you for emailing us.
Hey, Morgan, if people want to email the show, what is that address?
Mailbag at bobbybones.com.
All right.
Thank you.
Here's a voicemail from last night.
Morning studio.
I was listening to Thursday's podcast, and they were talking about whether the parents should take the Christmas gifts back or let them have it.
And Amy said, I have three kids.
And then I even rewound it and listened to it again.
And she said she has three kids.
When did she get another kid?
Great question.
When did you get another kid?
I think it was the caller, the listener that had three kids.
And I was trying to act as if I was that person.
thinking, okay, I've got three kids. How am I going to handle this?
Got it. That would make sense.
I missed it too.
What if I was like, surprise?
Here's the audio of that. Go ahead.
Because I've had that issue with my kids and it definitely can take time and more time depending on each kid.
That's what's weird is they've got three of them.
I've had them a lunchbox.
All three kids can be so different.
I say they.
They've got three of them.
I say, and that's what's weird.
They've got three of them.
I didn't hear it.
It did sound like you said I.
It did say, it did sound that way, yes, but I said they.
Okay.
So she doesn't have three kids, everybody.
Pump the brakes.
Thank you.
Here's Amy's pile of stories.
So there's a new trend.
It's called fridge-scaping.
And it's where you decorate the inside of your fridge with candles, pictures.
What the heck?
This trend's going to have been a fire in someone's house if you put candles on the fridge.
Yeah, I don't know that you light the candle, but it could just be a pretty candle that you look at.
Oh, I'm looking at it.
This is a disaster.
photo of your family.
Does it look nice though?
No, dude, it looks like a bunch of stuff I don't want to eat.
Like when I open the fridge, I want like orange juice.
Yeah.
Dude, this is like flowers and candles.
Well, the people that are behind it, they make a good point of fridge is something
you open every single day and how fun it is to open it up and like see stuff you love.
Yeah, if you can eat it.
Dude, this is the worst.
Like when they were doing stuff like, ooh, put mustard on an apple, I'm like, well, that's
kind of gross.
This is worse than that.
Because you open it up and you're like, oh,
Oh boy, I'm ready to get me some.
Ugh.
Like right now I'm looking at a decorated teapot with flowers coming out of it.
Yeah.
Taking up the middle of the refrigerator.
Fridge escaping.
Where's the butter?
Okay.
So a new study shows that men are unhappier if they make less money than their woman.
Like it's, I thought we had evolved past this, but this is new research out of Sweden.
The woman makes millions.
and the guy makes a fine living, actually a good living.
But let me ask Lunchbox.
Because he has a problem with men that make less than women.
Yeah.
Because you would never let your wife make more.
No.
I mean, men need to wake up.
Okay.
So that being said, what if your wife had a job that paid her $3 million a year?
Wouldn't work.
Even it was $3 million.
You're crazy.
Yeah.
Wouldn't work.
unless you made four million or three point one million yes that's what they say they say literally
that is wild their mental health goes down they said the only fortunate part is that they've got
more money coming in so they can hugely for you know what go to therapy with that money just
get your mental health fixed with that money when you go to therapy imagine you're sitting around
the bar with the boys and everybody's like I don't sit around a bar with the boys I'm a man and I
imagine imagine or you're sitting around the fire in the backyard with the boys and like
Terry, your wife makes more than you.
I'd be like, yeah, you know what, guys?
She makes more than all of you.
Boom.
That's what I would say.
Also, how often do you discuss, like, your partner's income when you're sitting around the campfire with the boys?
Well, when she's driving up in the Maserati when you're sitting in the backyard around the fire, that might come up.
That would be awesome.
Yeah, I can't believe guys.
That's not every guy.
It's most guys.
I would have no issue at all.
Eddie'd have a problem.
No, I would love it.
I wouldn't have to do anything.
He does want to just not work and lay there all day.
Just sit at home and do nothing while my wife works.
That'd be great.
You don't think your mental health would decline at all?
While I'm fishing, playing golf, I'm good.
What if, though, for the first whatever part of the relationship, he made more, and then all of a sudden her business hits, and then she makes more for the next day.
Like, then it's still kind of even.
Same deal.
Yeah, it's not even.
Okay.
I just think that those of us that are raising boys right now, like, we can start to instill in them that it's okay.
Or your wife.
Because a lot of it's conditioning.
I would instill in them.
If your wife makes millions of dollars, it's better than okay, son.
It's awesome.
It's awesome.
You want to support your partner or whatever it looks like.
Well, speaking of money, Alan Jackson swindled a fan out of $3,000.
Classic Alan Jackson.
Classic AJ.
AJ's bar and grill, good time bar and grill.
Except for it wasn't really Alan Jackson.
It was a scammer.
And what they did is they targeted a fan that back in June made a comment on Alan Jackson's Facebook.
Like the page, something about his health issues.
and they were like, oh, this is a super fan.
We're going to go after her.
And they said that Alan was getting a divorce
and he had a lot of financial issues happening
and he needed Apple gift cards sent to him.
Classic.
There's financial traits.
So here's the deal.
45 years into his marriage,
still going strong so far as we know.
So no divorce and also no celebrity is going to ask you for Apple gift cards.
Or Amazon gift cards.
Yeah, or any kind of gift card.
You know what, Coleswendo asked me for some yesterday.
Again?
It's not real.
It's not really him?
No.
Is that blue chart, Mark?
Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
I'm Amy.
That's my pile.
That was Amy's pile of stories.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.

There's two golden rules that any man should live by.
Rule one, never mess with a country girl.
You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes.
And Rule 2, never mess with her friends either.
We always say that trust your girlfriends.
I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends...
Oh my God, this is the same man.
A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist.
I felt like I got hit by a truck.
I thought, how could this happen to me?
The cops didn't seem to care.
So they take matters into their own hands.
I said, oh, hell no.
I vowed.
I will be his last target.
He's going to get what he deserves.

It's time for the good news with Amy.
Tell me something good.
So it's awesome to see people coming together, even in the devastation that's happening in California.
Like there's a really beautiful story of a father and his son that were escaping a fire.
They didn't have a car, so they had a neighbor that they flagged down that was able to give them a ride.
Well, even into that ride, they had to abandon the car.
So they were on foot for 15 minutes.
And he was trying to help his dad, who had a walker.
And his dad was even saying things like, son, if this gets to intense, just go on without me.
And the son is like, Dad, no, we got this, we got this.
Then a good Samaritan pulls up with a car.
Get in, get in.
Drives him to safety.
I saw one, two, where an old man who had a really long water hose went out and his neighbor who had already evacuated.
All he did was keep spraying the car in the house.
And he just stayed and sprayed and sprayed and sprayed.
And the only thing that burned on the house was like the back part of it he couldn't get to because he stayed in it and just sprayed the house.
because he stayed in it and just sprayed the house.
Which was crazy.
I saw another one.
I think I said this.
It was a palm tree.
And this isn't to tell me something good, but a guy, I just kind of figured it out.
He had a really long water hose and he had bought a bunch of sprinklers.
You know the kind that we ran through as kids that had the multi holes and kind of moved back and forth spraying up in the air?
Yeah.
Up back, forth, back forth.
He, because of the fires and like a past wildfire, he had multiple hoses and had figured a way to have like 10 of the
and he put him on his roof, and he was also spraying, like, the tree that was on fire,
and just kept spraying his roof so it wouldn't catch on fire, and it didn't catch on fire.
Smart.
Which, that's a tell me something, and I save myself.
Well, Annick, just learning from experience and sharing with others, so maybe they could try that out.
Yeah, crazy.
Great story, though.
Imagine the kid left his dad behind.
Dad's like, you got to leave me.
No, no, no.
Okay.
Yeah, we're going to leave you.
No, I'm saying maybe you would.
Not now.
You said so, dad.
Yeah.
Well, the son's 48.
And then it's actually his father-in-law.
He's 83.
Oh, that's not.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Not me.
Mine are awesome.
All right, there you go.
That's what it's all about.
That was tell me something good.
My dentist is on the phone.
Dr. Trembly.
It's also Amy's Dennis, Dr. Trimbley.
It's also my wife's dentist, Dr. Trimbley.
We love Dr. Trimbley.
That's why we trust him to bring him on for hard-hitting questions for a dentist.
Dr. Trembly, good morning.
Hi, Bobby.
Hi, Amy.
Hey, crew.
How's it going?
We are great.
We have a lot of questions.
These may seem dumb.
to a extremely educated dentist that does high quality work like yourself, but please humor us,
Dr. Trimbley.
All right.
Number one.
Why do people get cavities later in life if they've never had them and they haven't like started
eating a bunch of sugar or stuff like as they get older?
The saliva in your mouth usually decreases in volume with age and that helps buffer acid.
Acidity is why we get cavities on the teeth.
So if you're getting cavities later in life, it's because you have more acidity in your
mouth. And usually our saliva content decreases as we age. So you can be doing the same exact
thing, but because you have less spit, it's not fighting like it did when you were younger.
Is there anything we can do to generate more saliva? Yes, it's kind of a long answer,
but there are products. But more importantly, there are products that change the pH in the
mouth, like rinses and toothpaste. You know what? I'll send you guys a little info about that.
that you guys could talk about sometime.
I don't know that we'll ever break into that segment,
but I think that's, that's, you know,
the cavity thing was good to know.
Hey, I'm pushing it.
I know.
I'm pushing it.
There is a cavity conspiracy on TikTok where these people will get on and go,
went to the dentist and they said I had 11 cavities,
I went to a different dentist and are like, no, you're totally clear.
Is there in the dental world?
Are there like,
quotas?
Or like bad dentists that are like just telling people they have cavity so they can make money?
I don't think there are a lot of dentists who are actually trying to,
to overdiagnose to make money. The issue with this, because I get this question a lot,
is you're going to get different treatment plans from different dentists because it's a subjective
thing, meaning when we take x-rays, if the tooth is white, that means it's healthy,
if it's got a big dark area and it means it's got a cavity. But then there are different shades
of gray, and one dentist may choose to not treat that one and wait and see.
whereas another dentist may decide to treat all of them based on their experience.
So I don't think there's a conspiracy of dentists trying to make more money by diagnosing more.
And on the other side of that, it may be more of a liability to not treat any of them.
And you should have listened to the first guy.
So AI is coming out to fix this, where it's going to standardize when a cavity should be filled and not filled.
You're telling me people on TikTok are just saying crap for clicks.
No way, Dr. Trambley.
Well, no, I do think you would get a different treatment plan based on different dentists that you go to.
So I may recommend four fillings.
The guy down the street may recommend six.
That makes me look good.
Meaning, you know, you're just going to get different opinions on different x-rays.
But I don't think there's a big dental conspiracy of us trying to get more money from fillings
because it's not the most pleasant work for us to do.
How often should people replace their toothbrushes?
As soon as it starts fraying and losing its structure.
When the bristles are out.
My bristles are like at this point, they're all like to the side.
Yeah, that's not good.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, crap.
So as soon as it frays, it's time to get a new one.
I would do probably four or five a year, three or four or five a year.
Wow.
What about, I'm assuming, electric toothbrushes,
are better because they actually do the work? Is that true?
Right. I think they are because of, you know, I use both, but I like how they have that
ultrasonic head and all you have to do is hold it to the teeth. So it, it tends not to overbrush
the tissue. A lot of patients will overbrush and cause wear on the teeth. And we tend not to
have that as much with electric toothbrushes. Can you tell when people come in and they haven't
flossed or really taking great care, but they went hard.
They went to town on their mouth, like right before they came in.
You can tell, right?
Well, I could see when there's acute inflammation from irritation of the tissue.
But I can't always tell when people aren't flossing because different people accumulate buildup
at different rates.
So, and to be honest, I'm telling you guys, I don't think in those terms, I don't think
of, oh, I could tell he hasn't been flossing or maybe my hygienists do, but it's not always
apparent, but we can tell when the gums are really irritated.
So if you're in the car flossing real hard before the appointment, we can we can usually
see that, yes.
Has anybody ever cursed at you because it hurt worse than they thought?
I'm sure, yeah.
Yeah, just like, Dr. Trimbley, F, F.
Yeah, oh yeah.
I haven't been cursed that very much, but I've heard curse words flung around before.
Let's say if I wanted to get a diamond in one of my teeth and I was like, Dr. Trimbley, we've been together for years because we have.
And I really have been saving up.
I got this diamond.
It's super important to me.
I want to put it in my front.
How would I do that?
And would you try to talk me out of it?
No, I would do it for you because we can, what we do is we would take the diamond.
and we would etch the tooth, and then we would drop it in a liquid resin that's kind of clear.
So it's not sitting inside of your tooth.
It's actually just sitting on the outside of it.
And as long as the diamond wasn't too big, I would happily do it
because I could place it and then remove it without really damaging your teeth.
Now, I would feel comfortable doing it, and I know that they have people doing this
who aren't dental professionals.
And that can get, that can get iffy.
But, yeah, I would have no problem doing it.
If you have a diamond, Bobby, and you want me to put it in one of your keys, I would do it.
I mean, how secure is it, though, because, like, if you didn't have an apple, was the diamond just fall right off?
Great point.
Great question.
Well, so when you think about what we're doing with the resin, which is what would hold the diamond,
the resin, you know, we put the blue light on it.
you know, everybody hears us click the blue light.
That's setting, that sets the resin and locks that diamond in place.
So we're not actually, you know, because we're not putting it into the tooth,
we're actually putting it into a material that's attached to the tooth.
That bond and that connection is quite strong.
And of course, of course they could come off or it could be dislodged.
But if it's done right, I could get that diamond in there.
You can eat all the apples you want.
That's what I want to do.
That was my goal as a kid.
Get a diamond in my tooth and eat tons of apples.
Are people using real diamonds or fake ones?
Because, yeah, it seems like if you have a real one, you could easily swallow it.
And then, whoops, that's money gone.
Have you ever put a diamond in a tooth, though, Dr. Trimbley?
I did it last.
Well, I did it.
It's funny.
I put it temporary on a patient last week, and she brought a little diamond because she wanted me to set it inside the temporary.
And I did it.
It took about 30 seconds.
So it's kind of fun.
Real?
have to do this. You should totally. You know, I assumed it wasn't real. It looked real. I mean,
it looked nice. It was very small. I don't know how to rate how big diamonds are, but, you know,
just a little tiny diamond. And so I took my four steps and dropped it in the resin,
cured it, polished it. Mine will not be cubic zirconia. When I do mine, it's going to be real.
It's going to be as real as possible. We can go to the pawn shop and have them look at it and examine it.
Three final questions.
Question number one, Dr. Trambley, I
clench hard, as we know,
and you have put Botox into my forehead,
my temples into my forehead
and into my, is they called mandibles?
Masseters.
Yeah.
Yeah. And so when that happens,
do I look sexier to people because of,
like am I also getting the benefit of
why the real housewives would use Botox?
Like, is it like a double benefit?
So what Botox does is it decreases
is muscle activity.
And when we place it, the two muscles that close, that are responsible for clenching
are the temporalis, which is on the side of the head, and then your master right there by
your jaw.
And these muscles, just like any other muscle, skeletal muscle, is if you're using it
a lot, it's going to grow, it's going to get stronger.
And when we inject the Botox, it's going to decrease that activity.
So there will be some attrition of the muscle,
just like if you were doing arm curls every day
and then you stopped all of a sudden,
that muscle would shrink, it would atrophy.
And the same thing happens in the jaw.
You can see patients who have almost a very square jaw
who are big clenters.
When we give the Botox that flims the face down slightly
as that muscle shrinks.
And I have broken, I believe, six teeth.
And Dr. Sherman's fixed every one of them.
and he will when I go in I don't I'm not lying about this I've had Botox into my job
here and in my temples here how often can I get that can I come like every week to get that
you know what I what I use the Botox as a tool in the arsenal and it's a great tool to have
and in very in a very narrow range of cases it really helps people
as the final treatment.
But in other cases, we're treating a symptom of something else with the Botox.
So I don't want to be doing this long term for patients.
But you can get it about four times a year.
And I try not to exceed four treatments of that because I think there's something else going on
as to why you may be clenching and grinding.
Yeah, he told me he go therapy.
And I was like, already there, Dr. Trimble.
He was like, I see a therapist.
I was like, I sure I am. Okay, two final questions. I, because I do clinch so hard,
I lost my mouth guard before Christmas. I don't know. I lost it or a dog ate it or something.
How quickly now can you, if I go in, and I've done this, it's been quicker like every time,
but now what's the, I go in, you put the thing on my mouth, how quickly until I can get that
mouth guard again? An hour. That's crazy. It used to be days. Yeah. Yeah. Well, the reason is,
in dentistry, we're having so many advancements. And so right now we would take a scan of your teeth.
we'll put it in our software and AI is designing it and we have printers now that are printing this material and the benefit of this is that you know now we can generate these quickly and they they fit very predictably and so it's taken something that was you know had to be sent out to a lab and adjusted and now it's just very low stress and can be you know some patients need a new nightguard every year because they're just
wearing through it. And so now the stress of the night guards is gone way down because we can
produce them quickly and reliably. And it's great. I know he's got patience. He's not a patient
right. Not zzz. Okay. So one and a half questions left. The quick question that I ask every
single time that I want people to hear, flossing versus using those pick flosses. What's the
difference? Can you just do pick flosses and that's okay? I think the pick flosses are
great because people tend to use them more often. But the downside of that is if you have like an
overhanging filling and you put that pick floss in and you're having a tough time getting it out,
then the benefit of the floss is you can pull it straight through. You don't have to pop it back up.
Whereas with the pick floss, you have to pop it down and pop it back up. So I think it's great.
If people are using the pick floss correctly, then that's great.
But if they're not, it tends to, you know, people can damage part of the teeth and saw it back and forth.
Because you can't release it by pulling it through, that's really the downside of it.
Last question.
I want to save it for last.
But did you get jumped by a homeless guy?
Did I?
Yeah.
Oh, man.
Yeah.
Wow.
Yeah, that's a crazy story.
Yeah.
Give it to me.
I was out of the park.
Yeah.
I was out of the park throwing the frisbee for my dog and some guy punched me in the face.
Wow.
My daughter was right under me.
Yeah, some guy came up and salted me in the park.
Why?
With my daughter.
I have no idea.
Still don't know.
Did he take money or anything?
Like, yeah, what?
No.
He just wanted to get a good punch?
Well, he, I have no idea.
I'm going to say this.
In defense of the homeless guy.
Dr. Trump is a really good looking and you can.
get really annoyed. Oh, he's jealous. Oh, yeah, for sure. He comes in his, because he's got, like,
his, like, dental suit is like cool, too. It's not like a normal dentist. Like, he comes in,
he's looking all in shape. He's got, like, a great face. He's wearing a little dental hat that
looks cool. And so, you know what? I want to take a couple shots in the chair, too. I didn't. I didn't,
but I thought about it a couple times, but. You know, nobody would have heard about it had my daughter
not been right there. I mean, the guy almost stepped between me and my daughter to do this. That's what
was so shocking. And how did you, how did you react? Just grab, make sure your daughter was safe?
Well, yeah, I pushed her out of the way and he kept coming at me and I didn't want to
escalate it. I just wanted to stay between my family and him. And that's what I did. He eventually
lost interest, but, um, you know, it was just a wildest thing. Oh, teeth. What if you,
you know, yeah. Well, there was that moment where I was thinking of elevating it and, you know,
going blow to blow with him, but I'm actually glad I didn't because I just kept pushing him away
as if I was, you know, a basketball player trying to stay between the guy trying to score in the
basket. You know, I was trying to stay between him and my family and he lost interest and just walked
off. So it turned out great, but it was a bit traumatizing to me because I don't know if many
dads have been, you know, assaulted with their children right there at their feet for no reason.
It was wild, but I'm okay.

Let's give away. I have a hundred bucks here.
Oh, this was in my bag. I have $100. I like to give it away. It could be a lucky $100.
I have Julia on the phone. Hey, Julia.
Morning, Bobby. Morning studio.
Morning.
I want to give you a chance to win a, well, I'll just like probably Venmo or cash app
or whatever app you have, but I have $100 here that you have a chance to win. And so
I've been scratching these scratchoffs and Eddie gave me what is
a buffalo
nickel
but it's a silver coin
it's a memorable
silver coin
it's huge it's a perfect
scratchoff
but I would like
I would like
Julia to pick somebody here
on the show
and they have an opportunity
when you $100 with the
unknown game
so it can be anybody
Julia
it can be like an Abby
or a ray or scuba or lunch
it can be anybody on this whole show
Julia
let's go with Amy
okay
Amy if you don't mind
walking over here
Unknown game
we've never played
this game before. So, Amy, you're going to take this buffalo nickel. And if you can, would you like
heads or tails, Julia? If you can flip heads five times in a row, Julia wins $100. Yeah.
That is it. Wow. Amy. That's easy. So if to flip head five times in a row, it's got to normally
flip. Yeah, yeah, do it on the car. Okay, here we go five times for a hundred bucks. Flip it.
Why do you flip it? What are you doing? Do you know what I don't know. That's the weirdest one of
ever seen. Put it on your thumb.
This little thing feels weird.
Well, do it over, do it right there.
Ready?
Flip it up.
Have you?
Go.
It didn't even close.
Tails, Julia lost.
All right.
That was it?
Oh my goodness.
Julia C.
Amy, try flipping it.
You have to get five in a row.
You lost.
Julia lost.
That's the worst game ever.
Okay, I'll give you one more shot.
Go five in a row.
Flip it.
You have to flip it.
You just got to toss it on the,
there you go.
Flip it up.
Okay, there you go.
That's a flip.
And tails.
Yeah.
Oh, no.
Didn't she pick heads?
Yeah, she picked heads.
And she picked Amy and Amy lost two games in a row.
No, it's not.
It's about flipping.
It's about how you flip it.
It's all about form.
It's my chance.
No, it's not.
Julia.
Try it again.
Julia, I'm sorry.
You didn't win.
I don't even know if this game was fun.
I think it's a trick coin.
Would you like to say anything?
It's not a trick coin.
I don't know.
Would you like to say anything while you're on the show?
You have a few seconds here?
I loved Friday's song of GoTell It on the Mountain with Dylan Scott and Dylan Marlowe.
I am a podcast listener.
So that was fun.
Thank you.
And second thing is I am on my way to pick up my wedding dress.
Oh, that's awesome.
And you're getting married when?
In March.
And how long ago did you get it fit?
And did you do the whole where your friends all go and like do the thing?
Say yes to the dress.
I actually did not.
I went with my mom and it'll be surprised when everybody sees it.
That's cool.
That's a different way to make it cool.
That's awesome.
And how long have you known this fella?
What, I like him?
I've known him.
It'll be two years on the day we get married.
Okay, and what I like him?
You missed that part.
I love that he is a man of character.
He's a good guy and he loves the Lord.
So would Bobby, would like him?
He would.
Okay, that's all I mean.
He would.
I'm fine.
I'm in.
So much so.
I'm going to give you one more chance here on the Buffalo Quarter with Lunchbox.
Lunchbox?
Yeah.
Can you go five in a row?
Absolutely.
This is easy lunch.
Come on. Five in a row.
It is.
Five in a row for a hundred bucks.
Do you want to do it like this?
No, you don't do it like that.
Oh, no.
I've never said anyone flip a coin with two hands like Amy.
It's such a big coin.
It's like if you were...
It's like you were...
Catching water from the bathroom sink to drink it.
Yeah.
You know how you do...
She was trying to flip a coin like that.
I was going to toss it.
All right, five in a row for Julia.
What is she picking this time?
You know what?
Screw her.
She's getting married.
Four in a row.
Okay.
What does she want?
Julia, what do you want?
Head or tails.
What's your tails?
Okay. Lunchbox, Tails.
Tails, here it is. Tails never fails.
Come on lunch.
Four in a row. One. Here we go.
That's good.
Tails!
Let me see.
Tails!
Of course it's Tails.
It is. All right. All right. One down.
It's all in the four.
Only three to go.
It's really not that hard, Amy.
No, that coin has landed on tails three times in a row.
He just dropped it.
Okay, here we go. Next up, you need three more in a row.
Yeah. Ready?
Three more in a row.
What are you doing that?
Tails.
Yeah.
Two years.
Amy.
Yes.
I leave the details too.
She didn't pick tails.
But if she had.
And Amy keeps going, why do you do that?
I want to say,
Genius by Lunchbox to get a sound effect out of the coin.
I love it.
I get it now.
Like low key?
Good job, dude.
Yeah.
It's good.
All right.
Two more.
She wins 100 bucks.
Go.
He got two down.
You know what I messed up is I hit it directly on the mic.
You're supposed to hit the side.
Shouldn't have done that.
All right.
All right.
Yeah.
Thank you for listening.
I hope your wedding is amazing.
And call us back anytime, okay?
Thanks.
Appreciate me, y'all.
there she is. Julie, everybody.
Amy, what do you have?
You know, I always worry about retaliation.
So a listener sent me this story out of Florida
where a pizza delivery person
went back and stabbed a woman
that only tipped her $2.
She went back, saw out justice.
No, that's not justice.
I know.
No, no, no, that's not justice.
I know.
But in her mind.
So she tipped low,
remembered where the person lived.
It was to a motel.
Like, she was there with her husband.
and child, they ordered a pizza. It was $33.
All she had was a $50.
But then the pizza little person was like, I don't have change.
Well, that would have been a $17 tip.
So the woman went back rummaged through her purse and was able to find $35.
That equals a $2 tip.
And so she wasn't happy.
So she showed back up later, stabbed the woman multiple times.
And when the woman was at the hospital getting her stab wounds treated, she realized she was
pregnant.
This is scary, man.
It's terrible.
Well, the pregnancy thing doesn't really make it.
It's just like a fun.
Because she didn't stab her in the belly.
If she wanted to be pregnant, it's like a silver lining.
Yeah.
Oh, true.
That could have been a bad thing then.
Right.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
But that had nothing to do with stabbing.
That's just her making decisions.
I have worried before, and I do tip well on my Uber.
Because I don't put some murder on me.
Right.
Because they know where I live now.
You think that?
Well, I think they know where I live.
And I also don't answer my door.
I just say I live it on the front door because I've had people come to the house
and handing my food, they're like, hey, Bob,
well, do you live here?
And I'm like, I'm like, I'm house sitting.
I'm house sitting.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that stinks.
Eddie and I got into the debate when it was snowing last weekend.
I order food while it's snowing.
So you tip more.
Well, yeah, but he's like, I can't believe you would make people drive out in this.
And I'm like, no, no, here's the thing about, like, gig jobs.
You don't get paid unless you do the work, and nobody's being forced to do it.
Like, anybody that's out delivering when it's snowing,
They feel like they need to get out and work and they're out working.
There is no signal that goes up.
Oh, crap, the Uber-Eat signals up.
I got to leave the house.
I didn't really want to.
And so I'm like, I tend to order if it's raining or snowing and think nothing of it
because the people that are out already are looking for people to order food.
There may not be as many DoorDash delivery drivers at the time.
But, yeah, and then I obviously tip way more because they're fighting through whatever
the element is.
Yeah.
So if the restaurant's open, they get business.
and then the driver also makes money.
I do understand where it's like, don't have, don't make people bring you food when it's
snowing.
But no, again, as somebody who got paid hourly or had to do like gig jobs, you don't get paid
at all unless you do the work.
And so when the weather hits, they're not able to do the work because people go,
ah, I shouldn't order or make somebody do that.
No, they're sitting there going, can somebody please order something?
The only thing I would say was, hey, there's much snow in the driveway.
You can actually leave it at the bottom and I'll come get it.
But most of them didn't care.
They just drove it right up.
so nobody stabbed me though
I'm all clear
no stab wounds here
and also I'm not pregnant
boom
it's time for the good news
with producer Eddie
Uber is doing something really cool
for teenagers so if you're a teenager
and you took a driver's test
and you failed it
Uber is giving you one free month
of free rides so you can
hey take the pressure off
take your test again
if you need a ride they got you man
funny
there's a
awesome
limitation limit
Yeah.
You can't just take it anywhere.
No, no, no.
And you have to validate, too, that you did take a test.
Like you just nonstop go hardcore Uber every day all the time.
I mean, you fail your testers get a free Uber.
Yeah, that's good.
It includes six rides a month.
Okay, there you go.
There you go.
That's your limitation.
And then, of course, you have to prove that you did take the test.
You failed that.
They'll even ask you what you fail, what part.
And they have tutors available, too.
So if you need to help with your next test, they can help you out.
It's all in the app.
It's like they're cannibalizing their own business.
Because they want you to drive.
They're helping you drive.
Yeah.
Then you won't need Uber.
SpongeBob would have bankrupt that place.
Thank you, Mike, for being the only person that got the joke and laugh.
I love it.
I don't get that.
No, you wouldn't.
You're not a SpongeBobber like us.
Does anybody else get that?
I don't know.
Nobody.
Did he cannibalize his own business?
No, he never could pass his driving test.
Oh, I didn't know that.
I didn't know he can drive.
Under the sea?
He had to drive.
He had to drive.
Guys.
Yeah, with a real lady teacher
Yeah, Mrs. Puff.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Struck out on that.
Hard.
It's like a consistent storyline through,
it doesn't matter.
Eddie, good story.
Yeah, Uber, shout out.
That's what's all about.
That was tell me something good.
And that is the end of the first half of the podcast.
