Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. In 2023, Bachelor star Clayton Eckerd was accused of fathering twins. But the pregnancy appeared to be a hoax. You doctored this particular test twice, Ms. Owens, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing.
Starting point is 00:00:24 Greg Gillespie and Michael Mianini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. this is Love Trapped. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Listen to Love Trapped podcast
Starting point is 00:00:38 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. When a group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist, they take matters into their own hands. I vowed, I will be his last target. He is not going to get away with this. He's going to get what he deserves.
Starting point is 00:00:58 We always say that trust your girlfriends. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Ikew, I got you. And I'm I go on. My next guest, it's Will Farrell. My dad gave me the best advice ever.
Starting point is 00:01:24 He goes, just give it a shot. But if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck.
Starting point is 00:01:47 Listen to Thanks Dad on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me. Clifford Taylor the Fourth. You might have seen the skits, my basketball and college football journey. or my career in sports media.
Starting point is 00:02:06 Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. This is a place for raw, unfills of conversations with athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. So let's get to it. Listen to The Clifford show on the Iheart radio app,
Starting point is 00:02:21 Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok podcast network on TikTok. Hello, welcome to Tuesday show, morning studio. Morning. When I don't get much sleep, I get that more now I'm not even sick
Starting point is 00:02:48 But when I get It's like the older I get The less sleep I get The more I have I just can't shake I slept like garbage last night Like I was awake I fell asleep for like four hours
Starting point is 00:02:58 And then I woke up for like 30 minutes slept for like 10 And just on and off all night Didn't do anything out of the ordinary Just trying to get through Trying to make it through the day Maybe there was something in the air Because I didn't sleep great either
Starting point is 00:03:11 And I've been sleeping awesome Except I'm rubbing in. Rub it in. I never sleep awesome. I know, but I'm saying last night I didn't, so I don't know. Maybe there's this weird energy about. Does cold weather make you sick? Here's a question. What's flip for us, but it's now warm. So it went from cold to warm. But it might all come down to your nose, doctors say. Everyone's winter wellness routine looks a little different. However, common practices you may adopt to prevent illnesses like taking vitamin C supplements, drinking herbal tea, getting enough sleep, frequently washing your hands may make a big difference.
Starting point is 00:03:43 but does being cold actually mean you'll get the cold or the flu? I'd always learn, this is me speaking here, that it wasn't so much the cold, but it was because it was cold, more people were in closer condensed spaces, so if someone had a virus or bacteria, contagious bacteria, that would spread because everybody was closer together, as opposed to when it's warm and more people are outside.
Starting point is 00:04:10 So that's what I'd come to think. but they say a lot of times that your immune system goes up and down depending on the weather respiratory illnesses are not so much because of frigid temperatures but the cold weather may actually jack with your immune system and that is a bit manipulated by all the stuff we're taking
Starting point is 00:04:36 that makes sense one thing leads to another leads to another meaning it's definitely not the cold and it's not just your immune system, but the cold affects your immune system if you're not taking those supplements, if you're not getting enough sleep and if you're not washing your hands.
Starting point is 00:04:53 It's kind of a domino thing when it gets cold. So that's from the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. I've stopped going to get my allergy shots, not on purpose. It's the end of the year I just forgot to go back. I was going every week. Me and a bunch of 12-year-olds. Once, sometimes twice a week. We'd have our little thing.
Starting point is 00:05:08 I'd be like, what up, 12-year-olds? They'd be like, what up, oh, man? Do you think that could be the... Oh, that good baby? I don't sleep either way. Okay. Yeah, it's not that. No, this is just not getting enough sleep.
Starting point is 00:05:19 This is not allergy. Okay. But, because I have this even when I'm getting my shot. I just looked at my calendar. It was like, don't forget your allergy shot. And I was like, oh, crap, I forgot that since December 21st. And now I don't want to go back because it's like, where have you been? Well, that's okay.
Starting point is 00:05:33 They're used to people coming and going. But then is it like, have I not done it so long, I have to start all the way over because it is a slow build. Because they just put more and more in you over time. So you have so much of the allergy. in you that you're not allergic to it anymore. Well, go now so you'll get so far behind. I'm embarrassed. You got to face it, man.
Starting point is 00:05:49 Yeah. I'm embarrassed. I'm embarrassed. Be the buffalo. What? Be the buffalo. What do you mean, be the buffalo? Be the, guys. They go into the storm. They go into the storm.
Starting point is 00:05:57 Because right now you're being the cow and you're turning away, so you're going to end up with these issues for longer than if you would just go deal with it now. Did you call me a cow? What if I never deal with it, though? There could never be a storm. No, no, no. cows, when they sense the storm coming, they turn around and walk away from the storm thinking they're going to get out of, they're going to
Starting point is 00:06:13 avoid it, but the storm catches up with them. I think you're missing the point. I could never go back. The storm may never hit me. Yeah, but you're going to deal with the allergies. That's the storm. Yeah, possibly on that one. But yeah, I don't want to go back and start open. I've been going for like six months every week. I know. So like... I just forgot. I didn't even dislike going. And it's near my house. I just remembered, oh, I should get my allergy shot. And then I was embarrassed. I didn't go. We talked on the show last week about if we could create a national holiday that people had to celebrate. And we came up with ours. Mine was he had to celebrate
Starting point is 00:06:43 right, left-handed people. Was yours like ADD people or something? No, adopted parents. Eddie and I are going on a retreat. Got it, got it, got it. And so we did all these. And people were like, there's already left-handers day.
Starting point is 00:06:55 There's already adopted parents' day. No, those are dumb days that people just make up and say, today's national bounce on your foot day. Today's Snickers bar day. Those aren't national holidays. This is a holiday people would get off work for and have to celebrate, like Fourth of July. Like Christmas or Thanksgiving.
Starting point is 00:07:13 Right. Not just... Labor Day. Memorial Day. Yes. National Pancake Day. And more people like, hey, idiot, there's already Left Handers Day. Hey, all you idiots, those aren't national holidays. I could just declare today right-chew day. And it's rightchew day. In the way that left-handed day already exists. Does that make sense? Yeah. I've been holding on to that for like five days. Yeah. There's a national everything day. Everything Day. Right. There's like National Radio Person Day. Really? Yeah. It should be a national holiday. Dumbest day ever. So I just wanted to get that off my chest. Everything else good with you? Yeah. My eye just started watering really crazy. Oh, no. Here we go. No.
Starting point is 00:07:49 Everything's fine with me. I just didn't want you all to think that I was, had something going on or I was emotional. Look at me. Look at me. I can tell nothing. Can you see my lip? No.
Starting point is 00:08:01 I don't, honestly, I don't know what part of your lip you're bit. Really? It's all the way healed except for like a little bit of skin. Like over the top of it. It just can't get it to heal. And I keep ripping it off. You gotta stop that. I know.
Starting point is 00:08:17 But it's like a scab. What are scabs for? To peel off. Yeah, but then they never heal. I know. But it feels embarrassing because it feels so big. But your eye, I can't even tell it your eye.
Starting point is 00:08:27 I can't even, no. I mean, is it the bottom left side? No, but oh my God, that's fat. Yeah, what's wrong with that? Oh my God. No, it's not. No, it's going to be worried about the bottom left. It's not bottom left?
Starting point is 00:08:38 I don't know. So, no. Is it your forehead? Oh my God. No. Oh, well, see? No, that was me proving to you. I can't tell.
Starting point is 00:08:46 No, that was you telling me my lips. Oh, no. Amen. No. All right, let's go. Thank you guys for being here. We're going to have a good show today. Appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:08:54 Let's go now. Another round of name that company by their sound. Here's an example. Yahoo! If you miss that one, you're going home. You're not working on the show anymore. What's that one? Yahoo.
Starting point is 00:09:07 Yeah, thank you. They literally say it. Play that again. You guys were questioning yourselves on it. I wasn't sure if it was the Yahoo Milk or the Yahoo.com. Youhoo? Milk. Oh, it's you who?
Starting point is 00:09:19 Yeah. Yeah, I don't know Yahoo Milk. I know Youhoo. There you go. My name. The Chesney song. Okay, write your answer down. Name the company associated with the sound.
Starting point is 00:09:36 I'm in. I'm in for the win. Amy. Pillsbury. Lunchbox? Pillsbury. Doe boy. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:09:45 Pillsbury. Correct. Number two. Does that sound familiar? Mm-hmm. Yes. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:10:05 One more time. Boy, the last time we played this game, we did not get a winner. Amy and Eddie tied. Oh, that's right. Which is why we're playing this again. So we must have a winner. We must have a winner, yeah. Okay, that's it.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Need answers? Lunchbox? T-HX. Amy? T-HX. Eddie? T-HX. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:10:35 About the last time we played, Lunchbox was guessing that one all the time. I only knew that because he guessed it that time. I thought it was a trick. You knew we were going to creep up with that one. Okay, next up. gonna play this one twice just let it keep her all in for a minute. Name this company, yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:05 So I went down and we looked around and I saw this guy with a real crown. Yeah, that is kind of it, dude. All right, let's go. Lunchbox, need to answer. Yeah, I run one down. What do you have? Intel.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Oh, my gosh. Incorrect. Amy. Home Depot? Correct. Eddie. That's Home Depot. Correct.
Starting point is 00:11:22 Hey, Ray played again. This month at Home Depot, plywood, dollar 90. How doers get more done. Does lunchbox do endorsements? for home to you, man. I do. Oh, Amy does.
Starting point is 00:11:34 Oh, I do also. Oh, you do also? Yeah. But I guess I don't know their music. You don't talk over the music? Nope. Next up.
Starting point is 00:11:46 I'm in. One more time. Got it. In? In for the win. Amy? Max? HBO Max.
Starting point is 00:11:58 Lunchbox? I have HBO. Eddie? I have HBO. Is it different? It's just HBO. Oh, dang. It's not the math.
Starting point is 00:12:06 I thought it was the new name. Because Sex and the City still plays on that. and they have that noise. HBO is under Max and they have their own little thing, but it's not. It's the HBO sound. I'm sorry. I'm Joey. Next up, Amy's in.
Starting point is 00:12:30 Play it again, please. I'm in. Eddie's in. Play one more time, please. All right, needed to answer lunchbox? Yeah. Need an answer lunchbox? Farmers insurance.
Starting point is 00:12:46 Incorrect. Amy. Lucky charms? Incorrect. Interesting though. Magically delicious? That's not that, but it's similar. Not the brand, but the sound.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Eddie? I have old spice. Correct. Would you play Old Spice again? Magically delicious. It does sound like Amy, for sure. All right, two more. Hit it. I'm in. I'm in for the win. Play one more time, Ray. Everybody good?
Starting point is 00:13:27 Don't give up. Well, I have to. I've already lost too many. You have not. Trust me, there's a wrinkle coming up. You need to get this one. I'm in. Amy. Verizon. Lunchbox? Next still. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:13:37 T-Mobile. It's T-Mobile. See. Eddie has six. Amy and Lunchbox have three. but this next one Oh, come on. It's worth three points.
Starting point is 00:13:45 So you guys can tie if you get it. Let's go! Here we go. What the? That's why it's worth three. It's worth three because it's super interesting. Hold on. Hit it again.
Starting point is 00:14:02 I hear this sound a decent amount. One more time? I'm in, I guess. Five seconds. Boy. You hear this sound a lot? A decent amount, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:17 I usually don't give hints, but. I'm in for the win. That's why I got it. Thanks for the hint, Bobby. You're welcome. Amy answer? email. Incorrect. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Bobby does this a lot, guys. He has meetings. That's called Zoom. Incorrect. I have Amazon. No. It's Apple Pay. So when you do the double-click? Oh, I've never done my volume on.
Starting point is 00:14:36 I'm never done Apple. Eddie, you're the great. You're the winner of this guy. Let's get. The guy wins. All he does is win. In 2023, former Bachelor star Clayton Eckerd found himself at the center of a paternity scandal.
Starting point is 00:14:52 The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in so-ins, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfected.
Starting point is 00:15:15 They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg, a lesbian, Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trap. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues,
Starting point is 00:15:31 Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Maricopa County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges. This isn't over until justice is served in Arizona. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:15:54 There's two golden rules. that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends... Oh my God, this is the same man.
Starting point is 00:16:17 A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target.
Starting point is 00:16:35 He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, everyone? I'm Ego Wode. My next guest, you know from Stepbrothers, Anchorman,
Starting point is 00:16:57 Saturday Night Live and the Big Money Players Network, It's Will Ferrell My dad gave me the best advice ever I went and had lunch with him one day And I was like And dad I think I want to really give this a shot I don't know what that means But I just know the groundlings
Starting point is 00:17:16 I'm working my way up through And I know it's a place they come Look for up and coming talent He said if it was based solely on talent I wouldn't worry about you Which is really sweet Yeah He goes but there's so much luck involved
Starting point is 00:17:27 And he's like Just give it a shot He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that.
Starting point is 00:17:51 There's a lot of luck. Listen to thanks dad on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined.
Starting point is 00:18:16 And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. One week I'll take you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment and the next we'll talk about life, mental health, purpose, and even music.
Starting point is 00:18:37 The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast, it's a space for honest conversations, stories that don't always get told, and for people who are chasing something bigger. So if you've ever supported me or you're just chasing down a dream, this is right where you need to be. Listen to the Clifford Show on the IHeart Radio app,
Starting point is 00:18:53 Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. It's the anonymous suburb. Hello, Bobby Bones. In the last six months, my 30-year-old brother has lost his job, girlfriend, and apartment. And I'm pretty sure it's because he's addicted to gaming.
Starting point is 00:19:25 He spends hours every day. He stays up late at night playing first-person shooter games with his headset on. Our parents were kind enough to let him move back home, but now he spends more time than ever gaming all day, all night. My parents don't know why. what to do. I've tried to talk him out of it. But he insists he doesn't have a problem with playing it. How can we help someone who doesn't want to be helped? Signed, sister of a gaming addict.
Starting point is 00:19:48 Well, if we're talking about just the addiction part of it, if he does have a gaming addiction, if he does not want to be helped, you will not help him. You can say to him, I am here for you. And now, man, gaming just feels different than drugs. I'll be honest with you, it does. It does. Yeah, but it's, it's impacting his life. Sure. Absolutely. but I'm saying like all the addiction issues that I had in my family it was hey things are going to get really bad physically get bad I'm going to be here for you I know you don't want to do it so I'm just going to be here with this like he's he's playing hall of duty and yes it's affecting his life but it's like dude first of all I think you can have a uncomfortable conversation you're his brother look what this has done because he's not under the influence of something my struggle was having conversations with somebody while they were under the influence because they're They're not listening and reacting the same because they're under the influence. They're on drugs or alcohol. When he doesn't have his headset on, he's not under the influence.
Starting point is 00:20:44 So you have to have that brother conversation of, look at this. A plus B equals C. A is you playing games. B is you're not going to work. C is now you're living at home. Oh, so the parents are enabling, by the way. For sure. Probably because they feel guilty that he's lost his job.
Starting point is 00:21:01 You have to have that conversation, but you can't keep beating that drum. It's mostly a check-in conversation every three months. of like, I'm your brother, I love you, but this is what's happening. Do they have some sort of treatment for gaming? I think they have treatment for everything at this point. So, you could do an intervention. He is not going to accept help unless he wants help. It's just weird to say that about gaming.
Starting point is 00:21:24 But you cannot help someone who doesn't want to be helped when it comes to addiction, period. You can have conversations with them, you can let them know you'll be there. If things get bad, you can tell them what's going to happen. But unless they want it, They're not going to change. And almost all times they have to hit whatever rock bottom is. And so when people are enabling them, it keeps them from hitting rock bottom. And that's a conversation with your parents too.
Starting point is 00:21:49 And that you can have a conversation with your parents to go, you're allowing them to stay here and not pay rent. Why would he change his ways if you're allowing it? They're not doing it for any other reason than love. But sometimes love can be given without the understanding of what that love is actually doing, which is allowing someone to regress. So have a hard conversation when the headset's not on. Tell him you're there for him, but tell him he's got to shape up and then just wait.
Starting point is 00:22:16 That's it. You could like burn his game and stuff, he'll just buy another one somehow. He'll break into houses and still stuff to buy games. I mean, that's it. That's a tough one. It's funny because it's video games, but it's not funny because someone is like spiraling downhill because of it. Yeah. There you go.
Starting point is 00:22:31 Thank you for email on the show. Close it up. Amy, your pastor ran into the lunchbox. Yes. Did you know that lunchbox? No, did he say something to me? Say amen or anything? Amen.
Starting point is 00:22:41 I want to know. He just walks around. Amen. Amen. At least he's thinking that it was lunchbox. Like he texted me and all it said is I'm pretty sure I was in line with lunchbox at Chick-fil-A today. Never seen him in real life. So then I said, yeah, it could have been him.
Starting point is 00:22:56 What did he look like? My pastor. I was wearing a hoodie. He's shorter than I imagined he'd be and doesn't look like a celebrity. Dang. Were you at Chick-fil-A by any chance? Did I go to Chick-fil-Aid? Oh, you know if you did.
Starting point is 00:23:10 The one where you don't sit down, he said the one downtown where there's no tables. Oh, yeah, yeah, I did go to that deep-flare. He knew, he knew. What do you have to say to? I don't understand what he says. Tall, shorter than he thought. What do you think I was 6-5? I mean, I'm 5-11.
Starting point is 00:23:22 It's not like I'm a short dude. Well, also my pastor's 6-3, so probably is he just. Yeah, he just saw a small guy to him. Yeah, so I think that's probably why he felt that way. But I think he did assume lunchbox was bigger. Yeah, he has a big voice. A lot of people think he's a large man. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:37 Not. But I've never claimed to be anything more than 5.11 and a half an inch. He just went up half an inch. And then what about the last line? He didn't look famous at all? Wearing a hoodie shorter than I imagine. And doesn't look like a celebrity. Oh, weird.
Starting point is 00:23:51 Hold on. Hold on. Didn't look like a celebrity, but he recognized me because I am a celebrity. If I didn't look like a celebrity, he wouldn't have recognized me. So he is an absolute hypocrite. So he needs to go to confession. I'll be like, so father I have sinned. I lied and said, oh, this guy doesn't look like a celebrity.
Starting point is 00:24:07 but I recognized him because he is a celebrity. Duh. What if you recognize like your mailman? Okay. Then you recognize your mailman. But he said, oh, I saw him, but he didn't look like a celebrity,
Starting point is 00:24:18 but I recognized him because he is a celebrity. If I was... I don't think you think you're a celebrity. He absolutely does or else he wouldn't recognize me. He knows Amy and he... He doesn't know me. I've never met the guy. But if you've been in a picture with someone
Starting point is 00:24:28 and you recognize someone, yes. I'm not very many pictures of Amy's Instagram. Let's be real. You've been... What? You're in my stories sometimes like. Is that what bothers you more? That you're a shorter.
Starting point is 00:24:36 You look not famous. Oh, then I'm short. I mean, because I'm not short. And if he doesn't think I'm, his rule, his reasoning is just, he's flustered, guys, he's flustered. But I also think you're taking this as a slam. I think he's just saying like you looked like a normal person just blending him with the crowd.
Starting point is 00:24:51 Not famous at all. But obviously I didn't because he was like, dang, I saw a celebrity. He immediately texted you that he saw me. No, I think it's like he texted me. That's so cool. Like I saw your friend and coworker. Yeah. When I see your like friend or coworker, I don't say, hey man, I saw your friend or coworker.
Starting point is 00:25:05 Like, I saw a celebrity. You are my co-worker. Weird. That would be weird. This is a bizarre conversation. And I dress like I dress. I dress like a celebrity. I mean, you look at Justin Bieber.
Starting point is 00:25:16 He looks homeless also. You don't look like Justin Bieber. You look homeless, but you don't look like Justin Bieber. He looks homeless as well. You dress like Justin Bieber? You look nothing like Justin Bieber. A big old hoodie, a beanie. And I mean, you wears like designer, I would say, fashion forward hoodies and beanie.
Starting point is 00:25:31 They're like three size is too big. I got day ones. What is that? Stay loyal. What is that? It's, uh, for people. people that have your back since day one. You stay loyal.
Starting point is 00:25:40 No, I know what it means, but what is that hoodie from? Oh, it's a guy out of St. Louis. He listens, and he started a clothing brand called Day 1s. He wants to be loyal. Stay loyal. So you're an influencer. Are you an influencer? Yep.
Starting point is 00:25:52 Okay. I don't know what's, I'm trying to think what hoodie I was wearing that day, but it must been a nice one. Probably not. I think enjoying a horoscope's fine. I'm an Ares. Look at it. Move on with my life.
Starting point is 00:26:04 For people who hardcore believe this stuff, they're out of their mind. Like, I really believe. If that is your thing, like, oh, the star, if it's not in retro gay with Jupiter and the three times, you're out of your mind. There's no scientific evidence. If you just want to enjoy it, no problem. Love it. Have fun. But I mentioned something called a blood moon and Amy jumped all on it.
Starting point is 00:26:20 I don't even know what a blood moon is. Well, it's when it's red colored, it looks like blood, but it's when the earth is between the sun and the moon blocking the sun's light, which has the shadow down on the moon. Why does a blood moon matter? Well, there's just activities we can do during the blood moon. We can't do them when it's not a blood moon? Well, there's common practices that people do during a blood moon. I mean, I'm sure you could do these anytime, but... Astrology people?
Starting point is 00:26:44 I think so. Okay, go ahead. I think astrology. Amy, you're kind of an astrology person, but go ahead. No, but I just like doing these little activities. It can't hurt. Like, it could be fun. Okay, we could all get together and write things down and release them in water.
Starting point is 00:26:57 Okay? If we do this during a blood moon, it's more impactful? Yes. Or are you just making something up to get us all over your house because you're lonely? No, I'm not lonely at all, but I just think it'd be a fun group activity. I did this before on my birthday. I had some girlfriends over. We wrote our intentions,
Starting point is 00:27:11 then we went and dropped them in the hot tub. The hot tub. Well, that was the only body of water. We had in your body. Okay, so during a blood moon, it's impactful if we write these things down and then do what with them? We release them in the water.
Starting point is 00:27:25 Okay, we need to take time to clearly write down what we wish to release. We need to be as specific as possible. When is the blood moon? Does that have a date on there? Let me get the date for you, okay? Okay. After we write down our attentions,
Starting point is 00:27:37 We burn the paper in a safe container, and we can scatter the ashes in a flowing body of water, like a river or an ocean. Or a bathtub. Or a bathtub. Or a sink full of water, whatever works. March 14th. Okay, so it's coming up. So what are we writing down? What do you want to release?
Starting point is 00:27:55 Release to who? Why don't we just do in the studio one morning? What's the difference? Do you have any burdens? Yeah, I'm looking at about four of them right now in the studio. Negative energy, things you need to let go on. I'm going to get a lot of those. past burdens.
Starting point is 00:28:08 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever. And then before releasing your intentions, take time to meditate or reflect on the emotions and experiences that you want to let go of. This could be a team-building activity for us. Who cares if it's real or not? It's just fun. We'll do it on the show then.
Starting point is 00:28:21 March 14th. The day of the blood moon. Have y'all ever written something down and then put it in the fireplace? No. Or just gotten a match and burned it. No. It just, it's symbolic. We've also never walked into the pool fully clothed.
Starting point is 00:28:34 Well, that was a different time in my life. There was a lot going on and that was stressful. But I just think it's symbolic of releasing something. Would you make a note for the calendar? March 14th, we will do that activity here on the show. We're going to ride our burdens down? Yeah, we'll micro-ripe some water. We'll write our burdens down or whatever Amy says, we'll put it in there.
Starting point is 00:28:51 That way, Amy gets a little wind and I get a little wind because I don't believe in... Yeah, we don't have to... If we don't want to play with fire in here, we don't have to burn anything. We can just simply place the written intentions in a bowl of water. But we just eat them. And then we take the water outside and pour it out into the... ground. All right.
Starting point is 00:29:06 I'm out. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So McKenzie Scott, she's 20 years old in Arkansas at a nail salon getting her nails done. And she notices a mom there with her baby, but the baby is really, really fussy. So the mom can't really enjoy her appointment.
Starting point is 00:29:24 So McKenzie's done with her nails and offers to go over and hold the baby. The mom was like, oh, I don't know. I don't want to give my baby over to a stranger. Right. But then she decided, you know what? This woman's going to be sitting right here with me. hands her baby over and the baby instantly stops crying. So McKenzie holds the baby for like 45 minutes so the mom can finish her appointment and just
Starting point is 00:29:46 relax. It turns out she's a single mom doesn't have a strong support system. And she ended up taking a video of McKinsey holding her baby and found her on social media later that night posted the video. It went viral like 10 million views, thousands of comments. And they've stayed in touch on socials and McKinsey even offered to babysit anytime this mom needs extra help again since she doesn't have a strong support system. That's pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:30:11 She doesn't do any of it. 45, man, that was a long time. That's a long, long time. I know, but she was enjoying holding the baby, and she just realized like, oh, this mom really needed this, this nail appointment, this break, like a little me time. And she was able to be a part of helping her out with that. Maybe if you get your toes done. You can hold the baby.
Starting point is 00:30:26 Yeah, be hard if you're getting your dog. Or I'm sure she kind of booked the appointment. I was hoping her baby would sleep through it, but it just wasn't working out that way. That is what it's all about. That was tell me something good. In 2023, former bachelor star Clayton Eckerd found himself at the center of a paternity scandal. The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth.
Starting point is 00:30:55 You doctored this particular test twice in so much. I doctored the test once. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfected. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Gillespie and Michael Marantini.
Starting point is 00:31:16 My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trap. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Americopa County
Starting point is 00:31:31 as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges. This isn't over until Justice is served in Arizona. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. There's two golden rules
Starting point is 00:31:50 that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield.
Starting point is 00:32:07 And in this new season of the Girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no.
Starting point is 00:32:27 I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Ago Wadam.
Starting point is 00:32:48 My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. Woo. Woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place they come look for up and coming talent.
Starting point is 00:33:14 He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about it. which is really sweet. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat.
Starting point is 00:33:41 Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks Dad on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying.

Now it's time for learning time with me, Dr. Bones. You guys have chosen to hear about the great molasses flood of Boston, Massachusetts. The year was 1919. By the way, Eddie didn't know what molasses was, so I have the definition. It's a thick, dark, syrupy liquid. To me, I think of molasses is just syrup, like thicker syrup. but it's using a whole lot of stuff.
Starting point is 00:35:17 Would that be asking? Yeah, I think that maple syrup comes from a tree and then molasses comes from like sugar cane or something. That's exactly right. Okay. Yeah, good for you. How'd you know that? Well, I had to look it up. Oh, well, there you go.
Starting point is 00:35:27 So did I. That's right. Thank you for being honest. You're welcome. So the gray molasses flood, a giant, 50 foot tall molasses storage tank held over 2.3 million gallons of molasses burst. No. At 12.40 p.m.
Starting point is 00:35:42 right after lunchtime. Witnesses described. hearing a loud roar or explosion before the tank gave way. A 25-foot high wave of molasses. That is so tall. That's four M-E's. Whoa. That is a sticky situation.
Starting point is 00:35:57 Okay. Moving at an estimated 35 miles an hour. Rush through the streets, smashing buildings, knocking over freight cars, trapping people and animals inside its thickness. From this 25-foot high wave of molasses, 21 people died. Well, yeah, we're laughing, but this is real sticky stuff. going through the city. I didn't know anybody died. Well, I hadn't got to that part yet. Oh my gosh, this is tragic.
Starting point is 00:36:19 150 people were injured. Several buildings were demolished. Rescue efforts were slow and difficult because the molasses was so thick that people and horses became trapped and some of the animals suffocated because again, the molasses was so thick. So they've tried to figure out what exactly caused it. They think the tank had been built so poorly and it had leaked a bit of molasses from the start, but the company ignored the warnings. Some reports even say the workers were told to paint the tank brown to hide the leaks so you couldn't see the leaks because of the same color. Shady. On the day of the disaster, a sudden rise in temperature may have caused the molasses to expand, as in a warmer day, putting
Starting point is 00:36:56 too much pressure on the already weak structure. It took weeks to clean up the molasses, which stuck to everything. The United States Industrial Alcohol Company was found responsible in a lawsuit. The great molasses float remains one of the strangest disasters in U.S. history, a mix of tragedy and dark humor that fascinates people a year later. It looks like a flood. I'm looking at pictures of it. It looks like a flood and buildings are absolutely crushed. And it's still, and forever it smelled like molasses, like for syrup, 50 years.
Starting point is 00:37:25 That's not a bad smell, you know, for the town. That part could be worse, yeah. The great molasses flood of 1919, Boston, Massachusetts, shout out. The terror of people running away from the molasses as it's like going through the city. That's crazy. Getting stuck in it. Think about that. You're going to save people on a horse and the horse can't move.
Starting point is 00:37:42 No, I get a little honey stuck on my hands and I'm like, you know, I can't even get, or like the lid on my honey jar. I can't even get it off because it's so sticky. I dropped some syrup last night in the kitchen floor and I was like, what do I do? It's so hard to pick up. You imagine a whole city? Yeah. I can't.
Starting point is 00:38:00 Oh, man. I figure out I had jars out there, though, if I know me trying to get some of that. Off the top, though, some that hadn't been, you know, on the ground. I think it's all contaminated at that point. Nah. Five second rule. It looks like an earthquake at the city. Had you guys ever heard of the Great Malasas?
Starting point is 00:38:13 Never. Never. No. Do you feel a little smarter? Yes. All right. That is learning time with Dr. Bones. Thank you very much.
Starting point is 00:38:20 Class dismissed. I like saying that. That's great. Kristen from North Carolina. I was wondering, does Bobby still do the stretching that he used to do? I was just curious if you were still doing that or if you stopped and if you were still doing that, How is that going? Is it helpful?
Starting point is 00:38:40 Because I try to stretch, but I don't stretch all the time daily. But I'm curious if it's worth it and if I should start trying, but then I haven't heard Bobby talk about it in a while. So I wanted to check in on the stretching. I still stretch every morning. I don't do like 25 minutes every morning. But I would say it works and knock on any sort of wood. I go pretty hard physical activities in life and I have not been injured.
Starting point is 00:39:06 And I go hard. So no hamstring tears, no ACL MCL injuries, but I do stretch and I found the older I get, the more value it is. I need to do it. You're reminding me. My hamstrings are so tight. And like I started to bend over the other day to stretch a little bit and everything just started shaking. Oh, that's probably a good sign. You should probably start stretching.
Starting point is 00:39:27 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, good sign to start stretching. Exactly. Exactly. So I'm glad that they asked that question because I need to. Maybe you could lead us through stretches. Like every day here?
Starting point is 00:39:34 Yeah. Like on a break. Nah. I don't think of. about that. I'm going to play a part of my Ringo Star interview coming up for just a few minutes. But I want to play a clip of what Ringo said at the end of the interview. And he was talking about interviews he's ever done. This has been the best ever. You're saying that. Ever. No, look me in the eye. Look me in the eye. Look me in it. Best ever. Don't say ever because then I know your
Starting point is 00:39:54 life. If you were to say in Nashville. Nearly the best. Okay. I'll take it. Coming up, my part of my interview is Ringo Starr. He's been interviewed by everyone in the world. I did ask him some questions he's never been asked. And he told me that. But I think most people get crazily intimidated. And it wasn't that I wasn't. I thought it was super cool. But I care more about how people grew up instead of the stuff that's already been talked about 100 times.
Starting point is 00:40:22 Yeah. And so he's a grandma helped raise him. And so as soon as he said that, I'm like, oh, let's talk about this. And he was like, no one's ever asked me about my grandmother. Is it a beetle. Yeah, it's pretty cool. We'll do that coming up in just a few minutes. If you guys want to hear a few minutes of that interview.
Starting point is 00:40:36 Yes. Do you, Amy? Yeah. No, I'm interested for sure. Okay. Give me number eight, Ramundo. Bobby, you have got to stop talking about this meteor that's going to hit the earth. The world is so messed up right now and so depressing. And we look to your show for something fun. We don't want to hear about impending doom. That's a great point.
Starting point is 00:40:56 Well, I haven't talked about it today. But it hasn't been up over 3.1% because I'm watching it every day. They did list the cities that it could possibly hit. But I'm telling you what they did an experiment once, move a meteor that was coming not so much to hit Earth to see if one was coming toward Earth to see if they could move it and so they shot whatever this thing was
Starting point is 00:41:14 and they were able to hit the meteor and throw it slightly off course, which slightly off course is a long ways. So it gives me a little hope that if the thing is going to hit Earth I watch Nildegras-Tyson talk about this whole thing. That Armageddon will save us.
Starting point is 00:41:31 This makes me think of paradise. I wouldn't say much more. Oh my gosh, Amy. That's another show. talk about that because no one knows about that part. Oh. I don't even know. I didn't say anything wrong. I know.
Starting point is 00:41:43 I'm stopping you. I'm just stopping you. Okay, we'll stop right there. Give me a voicemail number one. Hey, first time caller. Love the show. Whatever you're doing with the podcast, keep it up. They've been great lately and I love the parts one, two, and three.
Starting point is 00:41:57 Yeah, we do the show here on a podcast and then we do a whole extra show, sometimes after the show. So search for the Bobby Bone show on podcast or on YouTube. And we'd love it if you check. it out. I give me one more. Give me number six, Ray. I used to like Scoobasties until this week in the whole snow thing. I'm like, what is the point of driving a truck that is
Starting point is 00:42:18 four-wheel drive and lifted if you don't even know how to drive it? You should have stuck with your Prius, you a liberal. And then you ask, do I drive and four-wheel drive high or low? Or how do I use it? You are a I just enjoyed the call. You know?
Starting point is 00:42:39 I don't have to agree with it fully, but I just enjoy the call. Leave us a voicemail anytime. 877-Bobby. Ringo Star, one of the Beatles, came to my house. What was crazy, too, was snowy and icy. We were worried that he was going to fall on the ice. He's 84. Oh, gosh.
Starting point is 00:42:56 He does not look 84. He doesn't sound, doesn't seem 84. But we were like, what if a beetle breaks his hip coming into my house? So we got him through. We got him through. He was awesome. He was so nice. And at the end of the interview, which we'll play this now,
Starting point is 00:43:07 Ringo said it ranked as one of his best interviews ever. This has been the best ever. You're saying that ever. No, look me in the eye. Look me in it. Best ever. Don't say ever because then I know what you're lying. If you were to say in Nashville.
Starting point is 00:43:20 Nearly the best. I'll take it. So this is just a slight, a little ninkle of my talk with Ringo Starr from the Beatles. And we talk about them opening for people, the Beatles, like playing. He played in a band for 12 hours in the daytime and then would play with the Beatles. wait for six hours and six hours he played with his own band then he jumped over to the Beatles and played for six hours for 12 hours a day
Starting point is 00:43:42 so here is part of it the whole thing is on the Bobbycast the podcast but here's my talk with Ringo Starr Ringo, good to see you nice to meet you pretty exciting here yeah thanks Bob did you guys ever open for anyone early on oh yeah we open
Starting point is 00:43:58 for Roy Orbison we we open for a lot of people and in fact the first tour we did was in England This is all in England. And we had three numbers at the beginning. The curtains opened. We did three numbers.
Starting point is 00:44:12 And that's how we should, to us, was a step up from clubs to theatres. And then we kept doing that. And we'd have Trini Lopes and Roy was great. Roy was the hardest act we ever had to follow. Why is that? Because he is great. He would just stand there with those shades on and not a lot of movement, but all coming out.
Starting point is 00:44:35 And so we would be behind the curtain, we're next door, and we'd be playing on the guitar's little hints of our songs while he was on. But then we closed the first half. We'd moved up, and then we closed the show. Do you still enjoy playing? I love playing. Is that still? No, I love playing.
Starting point is 00:44:58 I'm in a band. I'm in the band. And like with the old stars, yeah, it's Ringo and the old stars. but I play everybody else's song. I feel like this record, it's so naturally you, and I think that speaks to both T-Bone. No, it absolutely speaks to T-Bone. But also, it is a you.
Starting point is 00:45:17 No, but I am me. But he put me together in a great space. So, and I think my point is, it didn't feel like you were doing anything unnatural at all. Well, that's what he figured out. He pointed that out to me, and I love, they say, well, you know, what about the song? You said, every song was in my key.
Starting point is 00:45:38 As far as the sounds of the record, I love the keys. Yeah, the keys in my key. I love the whistle. Oh, yeah. There's just the sound of the record sounds so organically you while still sounding like a country record, but not like you're trying to do a country record. It's the perfect balance.
Starting point is 00:46:00 Yeah. You know, I'm the whistler. No, I didn't know that. Are you a good whistler? Well, I'm on the record. Well, but you got to put yourself on the record, though. I mean, it sounds great, but are you a good whistler in general? I was.
Starting point is 00:46:12 And then I had some dental work. And the mouth is moot. I've got to train myself. That's pretty good, though. That's still good. No, that's not. No, that's me. The record.
Starting point is 00:46:25 Oh, no, I can. Happy radio. See, that's still A-plus. What was your job in the factory? My job was to be an apprentice. engineer. I first I worked on the railways as a delivery kid boy. I was 16. And then I was on the coastal boats, party boats. And I lasted five weeks on the railway, five weeks on the boats. And then my mom, you know, oh, I've been fired. And by Monday she'd have me in a new job. And she got me this job
Starting point is 00:47:00 in the factory. But while in that factory, that's when it came. I want to play. I want to play. I changed my name fully to Ringo then. In Liverpool, if you do something, you know, if you're limping, you'd probably be called limpy. But I started wearing rings. And so some people were starting to say, hey, rings, what's going on? And I put, like, Ringo Starkey. I thought that Starkey doesn't look, you know. Didn't look right.
Starting point is 00:47:32 So I put Ringo Starr. Did you do two R's the first time? Yeah, two hours to make it star. And it's been that ever since, bar for the family who called me dad or granddad. My final question, playing in the clubs, and a lot of artists miss out on that now, and they kind of get famous before they're ready.
Starting point is 00:47:52 And they're not able to develop even as a performer, right? Because they don't do the clubs. They're on clubs. They got so famous, so fast. You know, kind of the legendary story about you guys is you'd be in a club in Germany and play for like six hours a night. Is that accurate?
Starting point is 00:48:03 Two bands. Okay. When I was there with Rory and the Beatles were there, we're on Sephard clubs at the beginning, then Kashmir, the guy won the clubs, put us both on one club, and we would battle each other for the audience, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:48:18 It would stomp in and stuff. And, but at weekends, we did 12 hours between us. And, you know, I love it because we're in that book, 10,000 hours. Yeah. And they actually mentioned we actually put in our 10,000 hours. I think that's where I first.
Starting point is 00:48:33 knew of the story reading that book that you'd put in that much time. We'd play anywhere and Saturday night in Liverpool, whatever the gig was, one of the clubs that have an all-nighter. And they were so cheap, they'd only ever hire a trio. It cost them less. And all of us would go to these clubs and just play all night. Any chance we had to play, we would play. Well, I love the album.
Starting point is 00:49:02 Great. Well, it's great. Been good talking to you. Yeah, you too. Yeah, real easy. Thanks. Real easy to talk to you too. You never know.
Starting point is 00:49:09 Whenever Ringo star is coming over. Yeah. You know? And it's said on that star. Now I know say R more. Ringo, it's been a pleasure. Thank you very much. And the record's awesome.
Starting point is 00:49:19 That's good. And that is the end of the first half of the podcast. The first half of the podcast. That is the end of the first half of the podcast. That is podcast. You can go to podcast. In 2020. Bachelor star Clayton Eckerd was accused of fathering twins.
Starting point is 00:49:50 But the pregnancy appeared to be a hoax. You doctored this particular test twice, Ms. Owens, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Gillespie and Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young.
