Welcome to Tuesday's show.
Morning studio.
Morning.
Okay, so forgotten sounds.
We played this game last week, but this was the number one forgotten sound.
That was?
Busy signal.
Correct.
You're all in.
We got five of these and one tiebreaker if we're tied.
So don't miss.
Here we go.
Name this forgotten old sound.
This one's really hard.
What is that?
You guys won't get this one.
I mean, were we also not alive?
Hold on.
One more time.
We won't do Eliminator because that went so hard.
We're just play total score.
I think I'm in.
I'm in for the win.
I got this one.
Amy?
Morse code.
Lunchbox.
Light detector.
Morgan.
A telescope.
So far nobody's got it.
Oh.
Eddie.
Good.
Because I have telegraph.
That's correct.
Wow.
It's a telegraph.
What is that?
They would like tap that.
And then I guess you could use Morris Code on it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, but it was the machine.
But it would send like, it would send like a message somewhere.
Yeah.
It's cool.
Yeah.
All right.
Next up.
I'm in.
I'm in for the win.
Lunchbox?
Fax machine.
This is a go-to.
Amy.
Polaroid camera.
Morgan?
I have Polaroid.
Eddie?
Polaroid.
That's correct.
It's a Polaroid camera.
Right now, Eddie's got the lead.
Next.
Amen.
Got to be specific.
I'm in.
I'm in for the win.
Lunchbox.
Nokia.
Amy?
Nokia.
Morgan?
I have Nokia phone.
Eddie?
Nokia phone.
Correct.
Nokia ringtone.
Good job.
All right, two more.
Hit it.
What?
I'm in.
Name that forgotten sound.
Here it is again.
I'm in for the win.
Everybody in?
Yeah.
Amy?
Dead airwaves.
Lunchbox?
That's radio station static.
When you get out of range, you can't hear the radio station.
Nobody's got it.
Yeah, Morgan.
It had radio static.
Eddie?
Oh, guys, that's a record needle.
Correct.
Put the needle on the record.
Will you play that again, Ray?
The needle on the record.
Put the needle on the record.
Put the needle on the record.
Put the...
Wow.
I do that almost every day
and I don't think I've recognized that sound.
And you have a Nokia,
because when I call you, I hear rings.
All right, let's go.
Last one.
This is a good one.
What the?
Eddie's already clinched in one,
but this is a good one.
I'll give you guys a hint on this one,
since it's already been decided. It's something we did.
Maybe not Morgan, but something the rest of us did.
Activity. You played again?
We all did it?
Yeah, I would think so. Yeah, I know we all did.
I'm in for the win.
I guess I'm in.
Morgan, you're not going to get it?
I have an idea.
Okay? What do you have?
Those little black and yellow cameras that you had to do the little thing and take a picture.
Oh, that's good.
Disposible?
Yeah.
That clicks on a disposable.
Yeah.
Not it.
You're in the ballpark-ish, but not it.
Amy.
And xylophone playing.
Of course, because we used to all play xylophone.
I heard of xylophone band we were in?
Yeah, dude.
We were so good.
Yeah, zylabones, we could call ourselves.
That's amazing.
Yeah, it was a good band.
We almost won a Grammy.
Lunchbox.
I think I know it, but I put Billy the Bass.
Okay.
Eddie.
I put castanets.
Like, you know, the instruments that you like...
I'm not familiar with those instruments.
I don't know what that is.
Well, then I got it wrong.
It is the iPod scroll wheel.
On the iPod, you move it the wheel around.
Oh, yeah.
Here it is again.
Like you're going through songs or categories.
Wow, I forgot about that.
That was a tough one.
Eddie will celebrate your championship in a second, but we'll do one more.
Can't lose.
All right, last one.
Everybody good?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Amy?
The paper return on the typewriter.
Nope.
Watch products, fax machine?
That's, no, no, I don't have a vaccine, actually.
That is popping ice out of an ice tray.
So far?
Nope.
Morgan?
I had hitting the button on the tape player.
So far, nope.
Eddie?
Man, this takes me back to school shopping with my mom and she pulled out that credit card at Montgomery Awards.
You're not going to get it.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
And they swipe it manually?
I'm glad it took you back there.
Man, it took you way back there.
So it's a projector slide change.
It's like the next slide.
We play it again.
I remember those.
See?
Yeah. Hey, our winner, Eddie.
Hello, Bobby Bones. I just found out that one of my coworkers makes more money than I do, and we do the exact same job, same title, same responsibilities, even start it around the same time.
Now I can't stop thinking about it. Do I bring it up to my boss? Do I just keep quiet and hope for a raise later?
I don't want to come across as nosy or ungrateful, but it doesn't feel fair either. What's the right move here?
Sign confused about my check. Yeah, that's a tough one. And this is what I would say about.
two people doing the same job.
And I don't know this is the case.
But if it's the exact same job,
exact same responsibilities,
did somebody start first?
Does somebody have a longer history with the company?
Because that also, at times, affects what pay is.
If you've been there longer,
there are more raises that come with being there longer in that same position.
Now, if none of that's true,
and it's the exact same and it's all,
I do think it is something to be brought up
the next time you bring up your money.
You can't go in angry and go,
I know that Eddie's the same job and we pay the exact same amount and I demand a raise.
If it's like time for a raise or it's time to actually ask for a raise, and that time it can be anytime.
You have to, your presentation is everything.
That's like I've been talking to some people around here.
And from my understanding, Eddie makes $10,000 a year and that's not quite what I'm making.
And I feel like I deserve at least that.
It's not you owe me this because they make that.
It's, hey, I've learned that this person in the same position is making this.
And I think it would be fair if I made it at least that with the ability to make a little more.
It is all about communication.
It's all about not threatening.
It's all about not putting whomever that supervisor is on their heels because they have to go up to.
They probably don't just get to make the decision.
They've got to go above their head and go, hey, this.
But that would be my advice.
Like wait until the time is right and do not approach it with this sucks.
They're making more and they suck.
Or this isn't fair.
Right.
Because business is not fair.
Right.
Business is not friendship.
They don't really owe you anything other than what they're going to make more money by you doing that is.
Like you're also only worth what it takes to replace you.
So know that.
Approach it kindly.
Hey, I've learned while doing some research here that Eddie makes $10,000.
I don't make that quite yet, but I do feel like it be fair if I made that money.
That'd be my advice.
Yeah.
You want to add to that?
I think that's a good.
You've got to be patient and, yeah, wait for your right time.
because if you go in and put them on the defense, that's not good for you.
So I agree.
It's not easy, though.
It's not easy having those raised conversations.
Yeah, they're awkward conversations for sure.
It's much easier.
Like if you're on a term with your company, like a two-year term.
Yeah, not everybody's in a contract, but, you know, sure, we're going to do it
in two years, we'll reevaluate.
It's easy to have those points to go back to than just feeling like, hey, I'm owed more.
But if you do feel that way and you do decide to go to your boss for a raise, which is
completely separate than what we're talking about here. You have to go and you have to be strong about it.
I'm not going to say be aggressive, but you have to be strong. And confident. Yes. And I know, listen, I know my worth and I'm
ready to grow that worth. And I think I deserve a raise based on what I've learned. Then you've got to present
facts on what you've learned. Because if you just go on and be like, hey, I deserve more money.
That's not going to get you more money. Now you can go if someone else is offering you more money,
that's the ultimate leverage. Do you think it's okay to bring up that you know about the other
person or could you just go in if you know the difference and know that it's a you know a five thousand
dollar difference or something can you just say i'd like to be evaluated for this amount of money
instead of being like i heard that so-and-so makes this it's going to put a different pressure on them
okay um and i wouldn't say i heard and i know you probably wouldn't said either but i would say hey
from my research around the company i've learned that eddie makes ten thousand dollars and i think
eddie's great what he does but also i think i'm equally as great if not more and i think i deserve
but at least that. It's all semantics.
Yeah. Semantics.
You need to write this down for the...
Or I guess you're saying it now, so write it down,
because you've got to practice your script.
Yeah.
Because I feel like you have to go and prepare.
Yeah, it's awkward.
One of the conversation I had probably about a year ago,
I can't tell you how long I practiced saying
exactly what I was going to say
because I wanted to say it with confidence
because that's not naturally my demeanor.
Let's hear it with the numbers and everything.
Oh, you want to fall overpay.
Actually, it wasn't even about an exact number.
It was Eddie makes $10,000 in this thing.
No, it wasn't even about exact number.
It was just something I needed to express for the deal.
And I wanted to make sure I knew deep within me,
I felt like that needed to be said,
but I needed to practice saying it with confidence.
Confidence is a big part of it.
Yeah.
Yeah, good luck with that.
We're rooting for you.
And I hope you get more money.
I hope you get what you're worth.
All right, close it up.
So lunchbox is going to California to try to be on prices right.
The date is...
October 15th is the first day of tickets.
we just have a couple weeks until he tries to make his big appearance.
We don't know if he's going to get on.
We don't have any inside information.
We have callers, though, that have been on, and they continue to want to call in and give him advice.
Now, let's go to somebody that's anonymous.
They don't want to give their name, North Carolina.
Hey, Anonymous, you're on the show.
No, as I was recently, I was on the price right, and it says I didn't make it upstairs,
but my good friend made it up there.
So when you go and your friend gets on, but you don't, is there some jealousy?
No, no, this is a really good friend
of my best friend from a long time ago
So there's no jealousy
I wasn't jealous at all
We were all there having a good time
And I never would have thought that he would have picked up there
Honestly
None of us would have thought that
Why? What about him did you think
Wouldn't get him on like super quiet
He was just, you had the most
plainest life if you could think about it
He had no experience and nothing
He's pretty much just a chill guy
His whole life
and that's it.
All you have to do is be yourself when you get up there.
When they ask you the questions, when they go for the little interview,
it's between 7 and 10 people normally.
Just like the other caller said,
you go in there 7, 10 people normally about when you get asked questions by a producer
and some other lady is taking notes as well.
They're looking for facial expressions and stuff,
all that, stuff like that.
But you don't go in there too energetic.
You just be yourself, you know?
Just over two weeks until he goes.
So if he goes and he gets on,
can he tell us?
He just can't probably tell us
if he won or not. What do you think?
I don't know. Just be real careful
and tight lip. They'll tell you
if he happens to get up there
they'll tell him exactly what the rules are.
Don't talk about your stuff. Don't talk about it
if you want or anything about that. They'll tell you.
Also, before you get up there, before you even go into
the stage area, they make you sign
affidavits and everything saying
exactly what you can do, what you can't do,
and stuff. And they ask you if you're a CBS employee or
if you've been on prices right over the last so many days,
if you've been a winner and all that.
So it makes you fill out a lot of affidavits.
Well, thanks for calling.
We'll take all your advice.
You do have to sign a non-disclosure.
You can't talk about your winnings.
I don't know if you can't say,
or you can say if you got on.
Because I know somebody who got on and won.
And so I don't know.
I don't know what the rule is.
But it's going to be weird if he comes back and it's like,
I can't say anything.
And then we have to wait.
Right.
Oh.
Yeah. Appreciate that call. I hope you have a great day. I do want to go over to this call. This is Amy in Washington, D.C.
Amy, you're on the show. Good morning.
I wanted to give lunchbox some advice about the price is right. Okay, we're ready.
I was on the show in 1994. I got up to contestants row, won a trip to Hong Kong, spend a dollar on the big wheel, contestant showcase, showdown. And then I overbid by $50.
Oh. You know the show. I overbid. I could have gotten both of them. So how did I do?
it. Your first caller was right. Lunchbox, you got a big personality. You're going to get in.
They do interview every single person individually. You're just a shoe in to get up there.
Second thing, listen to the audience. There are a lot of people there who know what they're doing.
So maybe don't bank on them 100%, but a good, you know, 75% listen to what they have to say.
And finally, know those prices. You've got to go in knowing the prices. For me, you know, it was all the 70s and all
the 80s home sick with your mom watching all my children and Bob Barker on the price is right.
I had a lot of experience.
You might not have decades to get ready, but certainly go back and look at all of the prices,
go ahead and memorize them.
You got a memory lunchbox.
I've heard you on the show.
You know how to pull things in from that gray matter way in the back.
Just memorize it.
You're going to be great.
And I'm on your team.
I'm like 100% behind lunchbox.
You're going to do great.
All right. Thank you for the advice. I mean, I appreciate that.
All right.
I see you later. I think if he has to study it, he won't.
I don't see him studying.
No, no, no. When it's something like this, I think he might.
What does he ever studied?
Let's call it something else.
No, it is what it is. I mean, he doesn't study. He doesn't study.
Even for things that matter, then he makes excuses for why it didn't work out.
Whoa, I will set the DVR. I will watch episode after episode after episode.
Wait, but what if we call it train? He's training.
Okay. What's he going to do?
I don't know.
What's he ever trained for here?
Sometimes words, if you just manipulate them a little bit, it changes.
Let's call eating candy.
Okay.
That'll work.
Then he'll do it.
He likes candy.
Yeah.
I don't know if he didn't get on.
I don't know if he didn't get on.
So we'll have to figure that out.
But thank you for all the calls.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what you're saying.
Yep, that's me.

There's two golden rules that any man should live by.
Rule one, never mess with a country girl.
You play stupid games.

And rule two, never mess with her friends either.

He said if it was based solely on talent

Which is really sweet
Yeah
He goes but there's so much luck involved
And he's like just give it a shot
He goes but if you ever reach a point
Where you're banging your head
Against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore
It's okay to quit
If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration.

It's time for the good news.
With lunchbox.
Tell me something good.
Dr. Joan was on her shift at Loyola University Medical Center.
She goes down to the cafeteria to get some lunch.
She grabs a chicken sandwich, goes through the line, pays for it, sits down at the table, starts munching on that chicken sandwich.
We go.
Sounds like walking dead.
Yeah, it's like a zombie.
Yeah, yeah.
Guys, you're missing what happened.
Okay.
She starts choking on the chicken sandwich.
It's lodged her throat.
She can't get it out.
She's starting to freak out.
Well, luckily for her, that cashier's line who she just went through, Ket'sley, Angel.
Learned the Heinleck maneuver back in high school health class.
Never used it before.
Ran over there.
And, wah boom, wah boom.
chicken sandwich out
and the angel came through.
I mean, her last name's Angel. How fitting is that?
Exactly. Oh, it's her last name.
Okay. Yes, her name is Kelsey Angel.
I thought it was Kitzley.
Dude, who knows? I don't know. I just a lot of choking sounds is all out here.
Like sometimes the story gets kind of overrun by the sound effects in it.
That's great. The doctor was, his live was saved.
I mean, how crazy is it the doctor was saved by someone else?
Usually the doctor saves lives? It's like, isn't it ironic?
Oh, are you singing?
Don't you think.
There's two, guys, this is, I'm over-stimulated by this whole segment.
We're doing Atlanta songs.
He's trying to sing Atlanta.
We're doing sound effects.
Yeah.
Yeah, I like it, though.
Good story.
I enjoy it.
I mean, yes, you've got to understand that the basis of the story is the doctor was choking on a chicken sandwich.
The cashier, Miss Angel, saved her.
Got it.
There it is.
That is what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
Okay, what's this segment?
So if we were to all come with a warning, what would that warning label be?
Because, you know, like when you buy a product, it would be like, here's a warning label,
but what if we had them for ourselves?
Like heads up this person.
If we had to wear one.
Yeah.
Okay.
What is mine if you would write one?
So yours would be warning may turn anything into a competition.
Oh, that's a good warning.
Because you will.
Not anything.
Oh.
Most things.
Oh, you want to compete at this segment?
So you has better warning.
There we go.
Yeah.
All right.
What about Eddie?
Warning.
might offer you his kidney but doesn't mean that's not true
it's very true may do it take that yeah yeah yeah yeah I don't like that
there's no follow through I should have just said any organ yeah but whatever
to be fair I've never told someone hey I'm gonna give you a kidney and not do it all I've said
is I would like to donate a kidney someday we had a guy call in once I was looking for one
and you never got tested and I didn't yeah I saw his billboard Harold
oh Harold I hope he's okay all right lunchbox
Warning may have a strong odor.
But I guess you don't even need to be warned.
You just smell it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But if you don't know where it's coming from,
that's probably him.
Do you have one for you?
Mm-hmm.
What?
Warning, my overshare without meaning to.
Okay, good.
Oh, yeah, that's good.
Spoil stuff.
Oh, yeah, overshare or anything.
Yeah, a TV show, my personal life.
Let me do some.
Amy's warning.
What?
You have been to?
Yeah.
Okay.
Warning may fall for scams.
Oh.
Yes.
Just hopes everyone's telling the truth and likes to believe people.
Or how about Amy?
Warning, we'll turn everything into therapy.
That's good.
Had to do a lot of it.
Or warning.
How many do you have?
He keeps going.
I did one for you.
Warning, objects and mirror are closer than they appear because I reckon to them.
That's true, Amy.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Wow.
One more.
Okay.
Amy.
Warning, may contain nuts.
Oh, that's funny.
That's funny, Amy, come on.
Come on, Amy.
You're insinuating that.
Your little nuts.
That's pretty funny, but it's like a real warning label.
All right, here's Eddie.
Oh, no.
Warning might start any story with, I have four boys.
That's true.
I do it all the time.
Warning.
This one's kind of like Amy's.
I say I'm going to do a thing, but I never really.
plan on doing it. Yeah, yeah, boo-boo. That's, we already done that.
Oh, I mean, but mine was organ specific. Bobby could be referring to like your business ideas.
Whoa, that's still. Yeah, there's a lot of those things he doesn't follow through with.
Here's Eddie. Warning, El no-a-spania. Proudly bilingual until he forgets Spanish mid-sentence.
It doesn't know how to finish the sentences. Yeah, I love like seeing someone like, oh, you speak Spanish, yeah, and I say a couple of words and then I just slowly disappear because I can't have a real conversation.
Lunchbox. Warning.
Freaks out over D-Less celebrities.
Oh, yes.
I mean, you consider them D-Lest, I consider them A-List, but tomato tomato.
Johnny Vananas.
Fame is relative, I guess.
Lunchbox warning.
Rage.
Wait, that's it.
Is that it?
That's it.
Perfect.
I don't think that's funny.
Stay calm.
Lunchbox, stay calm.
Lounge box is a joke, dude.
Rage.
Warning, chokes under pressure.
Yikes.
What?
That's tough.
I don't know where you got that one from.
Nobody wants to hear that one.
Well, nobody wants to hear it may contain nuts.
That's true.
But that's truth.
And then here's another lunchbox one.
Warning, I promise I'm not mad at you.
This is just my face.
Oh.
Let's see.
Yeah, his face.
His face is always, his face is always restingly angry.
Yeah.
Here's one for Morgan.
Warning, may pronounce words incorrectly.
That's very true
Often
I give one to Ramundo
Warning may get drunk
And pass out of your wedding
Yeah
That's fun though
Yeah
Good times
Warnings
Everybody gets their feelings
hurt
How we feel great about ourselves
Do you want to hear
Someone wrote for me?
Yeah
Warning gets in bad mood
After Arkansas loses
So avoid every Saturday
That's good
Every Saturday
Warning
likes to argue
For no reason
Just at bored
Yeah
The question is, who do you tell immediately when you have big news and a survey finds that we tell social media first?
That's crazy.
Most people answer social media.
That's crazy.
Whenever we found out that Kaylin was pregnant, we told her mom and dad first.
I think you'd probably tell your parents things first if they're alive.
But we told them first.
We told them pretty quick.
Because people are always like, hey, don't tell anybody until after the first trimester.
Because you only tell the people that you won't tell if it doesn't work.
I'm not to say that.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
That makes sense.
Yeah.
So we know what you mean.
Yeah, we just told, like I said, I'm going to say a lot of stuff wrong.
But yeah, we told her parents first on the phone.
Here's a really bad story.
So we were recording her parents whenever Caitlin told her.
And I pushed the button to record.
And I must have hit it again.
Oh, you double hit.
So it stopped recording.
Oh.
And so Caitlin tells them and like her parents are crying or whatever.
And then I hit to stop recording.
And that's when it started recording.
Oh.
Oh.
So.
The only video we have, it's in your pocket.
The only video we have is of them going like, all right, we'll talk to you guys soon.
Dang.
That's terrible.
It's terrible.
Yes.
It was terrible.
So, yeah, that's a, listen, I'm sure every day there's going to be something come up is a big part of our life now.
What is your thing?
Well, in you becoming a dad, I am curious, because of the way that you grew up, like having to do so much on your
own and you feel like that was really good for you. And even as an adult you have shared like
when you encounter people that grew up with a lot of money or everything and they have some success,
you're like, okay. And I don't want to put words in your mouth. Yeah. But yeah. People that grew up
with money, I inherently have a, I have less respect for it because you had a lot of resources
given to you. Correct. Whereas you did not. Yeah, yeah. It's unfair at times. Not always. Yeah.
I think it's natural that you have that reaction, but you're aware of it. And so you're not going to
like totally hold it against people.
But I was thinking, oh my gosh, like your child is going to grow up with what you sort of resent.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So what are you going to do to, I don't know, are you going to do anything differently?
Or how do you think you're going to parent when it comes to money and your kid?
Getting a job at five.
Start working.
My wife has brought this up too.
Okay.
She's like, you know what's funny?
She goes, like, you're, you always get resentful of people that get stuff or
free without working for it. What do you think is going to happen? And I'm like, well, the kid will get a
jalopy. That's what will happen. And my wife's like, what's a jalopy. Like an old beatup car.
Yeah, she didn't know even what a jalopy. Oh, I thought it was like a jalapia or something.
I'm like, man, Kate. Yeah, the big takeaway was she didn't know what a jalopy was. So I Google
image jalopy and showed her with the car. She's like, oh, that's a jalopy. And she's like, no,
that ain't happening. And because my wife grew up, not fully, but very middle. And so she wasn't like,
she had a lot of stuff given her either.
But she was like, no, I think it'll be different.
And so here's kind of my understanding of what's going to happen.
I don't understand anything that's about to happen.
Right.
And you have a while to figure this out.
I guess I just was like, what is Bobby going to do?
Sometimes you just do stuff and you don't even realize like,
well, I didn't think I was going to be this kind of parent.
You're going to take it one day at a time.
But also navigating that fine line of what you give your kids,
even if you can give it to them,
is tricky.
Because it's like, I can do this right now, but should I?
Because you want them to earn something.
You don't want them to not appreciate things.
So, Bones, have you thought about this at all, or are you just kind of...
I thought about it a little bit, but there are other things to think about right now.
Like, I got to change the room.
I got to get rid of my football jersey and put in the nursery.
Like, that's what really is.
But like, do you pay for their college?
Like, you didn't.
Yeah, but...
I mean, you had to pay for it yourself.
That's a long way.
That's a great question, though.
I know it is.
I feel like, there's the answer.
Hopefully by then, it can just be free for everybody.
The answer is probably no, because they're going to be so smart because they get Caitlin's genetics and hopefully little over mine.
They get full scholarship wherever.
Okay.
But then do you kind of feel bad them taking a scholarship when like you could afford it and then?
No, no, not if they're smart enough to earn it.
That's earned.
Okay.
But also probably, I probably pay for school.
I think everybody's college should be paid for, though.
There are two things we don't get in this country that I think we should, especially being the richest country in the world.
health care and education.
We should have college paid for.
And if I need to step forward to pay for my future child education
approve that point, you know what?
I will.
It starts with you.
It starts with me.
And that's it he'll all die on.
But you've learned so much about that you didn't have learning up,
like about finances and money and investing.
And you're going to be able to pass that knowledge onto your kid,
which instantly already puts them in a kind of like,
what was that book you read, rich dad, poor dad.
It's the first book ever read about money.
Here's the thing.
I want everybody to know this.
really, really rich people take advantage of really, really, really poor people and keep really, really poor people in that cycle of being poor.
It is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen in my life.
And that's why I'm so anti-rich person.
As a rich person now, I'm anti-rich people that have always been rich and do nothing to change because they keep the below middle to poor in that cycle with no help at all so you can't break that cycle.
And it's the most disgusting thing I've ever seen.
Can't wait to have a kid, though.
It's time for the good news.
With Amy.
Tell me something good.
So in Yorktown, Virginia, there is an 81-year-old Walmart worker and Vietnam veteran named Thomas Bradshaw.
He just returned to work after running through a lot of his life savings, if not all of it, to care for his wife following four heart attacks.
He's so well known at the Walmart by customers that they noticed he was gone and that now he's back and they were checking on how his wife is doing.
and they knew he needed to go fund me because again his life savings were washed out.
So a customer, Sandra Emerson, started a crowdfunding, wanted to raise $1,000.
That's it.
Well, within 24 hours, $10,000 had been donated.
Wow.
Within a couple of days, over $18,000 had been donated.
More than 400 donors stepped up and they were able to share this news with Thomas.
And he responded with such gratitude and emotion saying that this is going to bless his life in a way that we couldn't even imagine.
That's a great story.
Yeah, for someone to be your cashier at Walmart and you develop such a close relationship with them because they're so awesome.
And to notice that they're not, they haven't been around in a little bit.
And that they're 81 and still showing up every day.
His official job is cashier, greet her or what?
Receit Checker.
Oh, he's the receipt checker.
Oh, I love those people.
Yes, they check the receipt.
I feel like 81's a little too old for the cashier.
That's why I was asking.
I read receipt checker and was thinking checker, clerk, clerk, cashier.
But you're right.
He's the one at the door being like, can I check your receipt?
The highlighters.
Yes.
And he has a cane.
That's a good story.
There you go.
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
Wake up.
You wake up in the morning.
Then you turn the radio on and the dial just keeps on turn.
Didn't you hear.
Eddie and me lunchbox.
More game two.
Steve Redevich trying to put you through.
Mike D's writing his week's next bit.
And Bobby's on the mic.
And now for the morning corny.
The morning corny.
What did the mama elephant say to her misbehaving baby?
What?
Tusk, tusk.
What?
That was the morning corny.
We say tisk, tisk.
Nobody says tis-tis-tis.
No, I've never heard that in my life.
Somebody says tis-tis.
Gone with the wind at the theater.
Tisks.
And then because elephants have tusks.
So you say tusk.
I really didn't get that.
And Eddie likes to laugh at all that.
Okay.
That's on the Hall of Fame wall as worst ones ever.
Really?
I think so, yeah.
Ray, would you play the voicemail?
And this one's for Amy because she was talking about a listener hating on her because
she said, the listener said to Amy, you're not lifting your kids up enough,
like celebrating them.
Here's that voicemail.
Amy, this is for you, that letter you got about you,
not lifting up your kids is crazy.
And when you talked about that story even, you talked about how you ran beside them and
cheered them on and you even had to get kicked off the course.
I completely see that you admire your kids and that you love them.
Don't worry about it.
Bye.
A lot of listeners said that, by the way.
Well, thanks for that reminder.
Yeah, they agreed with you here.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Play voicemail number two from Avery, please.
Hi, my name is Aver Garvey, and I'm in my band's percussion.
section at my school. I'm trying to raise $400 to pay for my band equipment and to travel.
I'm a part tour and I listen to your show every morning before school.
I'm coming to y'all for ideas on how I can make this money and I'm just trying to fight
and repeat. Thank you. I appreciate she had that all written out. Called in. Very to the point.
Avery, if you will call back and we know your voice now so nobody else lie and you give us like a
VINMO or something. Or maybe we have her number. We have her number, guys?
Yep. Just call her and I'll pay her 400 bucks. I'll cover it.
That was easy.
Dang.
That's one idea.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's a good.
That's the idea.
That's a great move.
And I'm going to tell you the reason I'll do it is because I don't think she was actually looking for that.
No, she was really looking for ideas.
And yes, she was so prepared.
Yeah.
Get her number, get her Venmo and I'll just, I'll cover that.
That's super cool.
Baller.
Give me the next one, the number one.
Congratulations.
That's so awesome.
I'm so happy for you.
The new baby.
I just pray God bless you.
Bless you guys.
Was this secret what you had a?
the envelope at the beginning of the year that your prediction was were you talking about yourself
just curious that's a great question no I made a prediction I put it in an envelope I sealed it
then I realized many months later I could not share what was in that envelope but I wanted someone
to read the envelope and we spun the wheel landed on Amy we did this on the podcast and Amy
read it and she knows this was not a joke there's a reason I can't share it and secondly it was not
about me right it was not about you yeah those are easier to predict those are about things are
about me, because I can predict them because I can make them happen.
Leave us a voicemail anytime.

Rule one, never mess with a country girl.
You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes.
And rule two, never mess with her friends either.

It's a place that come look for up and coming talent.
He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you.
Which is really sweet.
Yeah.
He goes, but there's so much luck involved.
And he's like, just give it a shot.
He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall
and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit.
If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration.
It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat.
Just hang in there.
Yeah, it would not be...
Right, it wouldn't be that.
There's a lot of luck.

Bobby Bone Show.
Bonehead.
No, hurry.
This story comes us from Florence, South Carolina.
For the last month, the high school has been stinking, smelling.
They think something's rotten in the walls.
They bring in people to do digging.
They redo the air ducts of the AC thinking something's moldy.
Turns out one of the teachers was going around using fart spray.
Oh, I saw this.
Yeah, and she got in trouble.
He got in trouble.
He was a dude.
I don't know why I thought was a girl.
I don't know either.
That was weird.
A chick would have part spray.
Maybe you're just like most...
No, I don't know why I thought that was a female thing.
Maybe it was like inadvertent sexism because it was just a teacher.
Yes, that's what I was thinking.
That could be it.
That's probably smart.
But they spent $55,000 trying to get to the bottom of the stink, like redoing walls, redoing the AC.
That's crazy.
I mean, why do you want to stink up the school anyway?
What was the instance he was using it?
Like, he wasn't secretly doing it.
like to be like they'll never guess it's me
he was just different parts of
school he would spray it walk away
and there'd be this foul odor
it's so weird
I know but once you realize they're spending
like legit money
or they can't figure out what it is
yeah you just like stop
then you stop yeah maybe like the second time
after the second time you do it okay
I'm Lunchbox that's your bonehead story of the day
let's roll through some voicemels
number one
I was gonna say I'm very disappointed
that Eddie didn't do the run
but I'm more disappointed in myself
for expecting him to follow through with it.
Yeah, I mean, you could have ran
and then missed a little bit of your son's game,
but now you didn't,
I don't want to hear you saying that you guys keep picking on me.
You're doing it to yourself.
Love you, buddy, but you're doing it to yourself.
Yeah, I can agree with that.
We have to start being disappointed in ourself
for believing Eddie is going to follow through
more than being disappointed in Eddie
for not following through because he has shown us with his actions that he is not someone who
follows through.
Boom.
Correct.
I like that.
It's on you guys.
You accept it.
That's just who I am.
There he is.
I didn't think your reaction would be like that.
But man, like, it's not that I don't follow through.
It's like...
No, it's exactly that.
No.
I say I follow through half the time.
But that's not a person that follows through if it's 50%.
But that's...
A person that follows through is 96%.
But I don't even think it's 50%.
So if you do 50% though, like, am I just...
Just, none of that's kind of credit.
You are not trustworthy.
I don't get credited to your halfway do it.
Seriously, name one that you followed through on.
I foster my kids.
No.
That's, stuff we've talked about.
And your wife made you.
Yeah.
She didn't make me do it.
My wife doesn't make me do it.
I don't think that's something you came on air and declared.
Your wife didn't make you foster your kids at first.
No, she tried to talk me into it.
And I said no.
And then I finally agreed to it.
And you've been great at it.
You love it.
Yeah, yeah.
But at first, my only point was your wife made you do it.
But that wasn't a years-long declaration you were making
and then you finally did it.
What else?
What else have I done?
No, it shouldn't be up to us to prove the things you haven't done.
We're talking about the things you have said on air that you're going to do.
I tried to eat.
Basically, every organ in your body you've promised to give away.
Just kidney.
I got tested for my plasma.
I was going to say placenta, but I know that's not true.
Anyway, if you have to like explain.
Yeah.
You guys do too, though.
Sometimes you guys say you're going to do something and then you don't do it.
Just life happens.
I like your thought, though.
Hey, yeah, you're right.
Yeah, it's more on you guys than it is me.
It's on you guys, not me.
All right, next up.
Morning Studio, just wanted to call in and say,
congrats to Bobby.
Caitlin, for the baby.
Hope everything's going well with you guys.
Glad to hear it.
Long time listener.
I've been listening to the show since before Amy
actually adopted her kids.
So it's exciting news.
Congratulations.
Appreciate that.
Thank you very much for the voicemail.
it's yeah it's nuts
I don't even know what else to say it's nuts
during the week we're not really doing a lot
like over the past weekend
we went stroller shopping we cleaned our room out
I don't know why there has to be a nursery though
like can't you just
the baby doesn't know what it's on the wall
I know it's more so for
the parents
it ain't for me or just like you could think that
about any room of your house like why am I decorating
this who cares yeah but I can see it
it matters to me
yeah and we bought our house
oh my point is
Why don't we just shift a bed over five feet and put a,
I learned that there's a difference in a bassinet in a crib.
Yeah, and early in the child's life,
it likely will be in a bassinet by the bed.
No, but in its own, instead of turning a room into a...
I get what you're saying, a nursery.
A nursery.
But that's going to be their room, though, right?
But they don't care.
They don't care what's on the walls.
They don't even know what walls are.
I agree, dude.
I agree with you, 100%.
And let me tell you right now.
It's fun.
Let me tell you right now.
Toys, they're not going to care for the first year.
Like, no one cares about toys.
Like, you give them a roll of paper towels,
and they play with that more than all the toys that you bought them.
And then the room, like, yeah, dude, they don't,
most of the time, they spend, they didn't spend any time in that room at all.
Not even, like, to sleep.
Yeah, that was my point with the nursery.
If we're doing it for us, I don't want it.
Like, why can't we just put a freaking crib in the room that already exists,
leave it exactly as it is, just move a bed over a few feet,
and there's the crib.
Yeah.
Like, what am I missing?
Yeah, you're missing that it's fun to put something like that together.
It can be cute.
And I would say, oh, okay, social media has made it worse or whatever.
But people have been decorating nurseries far before social media.
It's just to have like a cute room for your baby.
Are you, like doing stuff?
Like are you painting?
There's no way.
You're not painting, right?
Like a color?
Or like just like wallpaper or are you hiring someone to do that?
The honest answer is I don't know.
Am I going to do it?
Am I going to paint?
No, it would cost us more because we'd have to hire somebody after I finished.
To redo it.
Right, to fix it.
No, I will not be.
But are we?
I don't know.
I know that what I was doing this past weekend was cleaning out a closet in the room where we're going to put the baby.
I just feel like I'm too old for this.
You are, dude.
Even if you're younger, it's like I just got PTSD right now.
I'm just assembling cribs.
Assembly and everything.
Dude, man, that was, those were hard times.
And then like the pressure of making sure that a crib is put together, right?
It's 50-50 if I somebody.
I got in mine just to make sure.
Oh, you did?
Yes.
You got in yours?
Yes, I got in it.
And I'm like, it didn't break, so it's good.
We're good.
Because yeah, dude, what if like your baby falls?
You get a full sleep in it for a night?
Make sure.
Roll around a little bit.
All right, heavy number three.
I ran a bet on S-1 racing, which I don't know anything about.
But it was plus 13,000.
And I've never seen odds that high.
So I put a dollar on it, and I woke up the next morning and won $131.
I was really mad that I didn't bet more, but it was still fun.
Thanks, guys.
Have a great day.
That's great.
That's what I'm talking about.
That's a big one.
There are a lot more bets like that, by the way.
Well, you just pick huge underdogs.
NASCAR is a big one.
I love betting NASCAR.
Golf has a good one, too.
Play me number five, Ray.
Hey, Ellen, Friday's podcast.
Amy was talking about scrambled pancakes, and she was getting ready to tell us
story, but then the podcast switched to Bobby talking about Goodwill.
So I'm curious about what Amy said.
I don't know if that was an edit.
I have no idea.
Do you want to say it again, whatever it was, scrambled pancakes?
Well, maybe Eddie, I think Eddie said, what are scrambled pancakes?
And I said just like you would think.
Well, Goodwill is here to.
Yeah, it happens again.
No, it's just something that I saw on TikTok.
And for me, you know, if you don't have the patience to, like, sit there and flip the pancakes back and forth to get them right,
then you just pour the batter in there and then just like you would, a scrambled egg, like chup, tap, chup, chipped, and the skillet.
And then you put it in a bowl and you put a little syrup on top and you, it like looks like scrambled eggs, but it's batter.
Hit me with the next one, please.
You guys are talking about Sean Alexander and his 14 kids and lunchbox is saying that it's child abuse because those kids shouldn't have to raise other kids.
he's absolutely right, 100% right.
I have six kids, and we make it a point to make sure the older kids don't feel like they have to do parenting things for the younger kids.
That's 100% right.
Lunchbox is on this one.
Bye.
It is not 100% right because it's not child abuse.
Now, you may disagree with that and how they raise their kids, but it's not child abuse.
Child abuse is a serious thing.
Is neglect child abuse?
Yes, it's a form of it.
So could it fall under neglect?
I'm not trying to be on his side.
What if you're teaching them life skills?
You are.
You are.
Yeah.
It's not child abuse.
I would not pay.
It's also not.
I wouldn't either.
Then why did you bring it up?
What?
Neglect.
Well, because I'm like maybe there's an angle there, but...
Listen, I understand the sentiment of
I don't want kids to have to raise other kids, but it's not child abuse.
And our thing was, he was like, that's child abuse.
We're like, no, it's not child abuse.
It's a decision that people.
parents made with all their kids.
And we don't even know the older kids are raising the younger kids.
That was just something that was said.
We don't know what's happening in their family dynamic.
Yeah, my mom did that with her brothers and sisters.
One more.
Next one.
I was listening to the review of shows you're currently watching and doesn't sound like
anybody's stumbled upon Black Rabbit yet.
It's amazing.
You'll all love it.
It is one of the best shows streaming this year on television.
So strongly recommend Black Rabbit on Netflix.
My wife watched it and loved it.
and I didn't watch it because I was in Vegas for three days.
I think she watched it all because she's just,
and just stuff now because she's pregnant.
And if I'm not here, she's just watching shows.
And so she was like, I loved it, watched it in three days.
I haven't seen it.
It's Jason Bateman.
Oh.
Yeah.
You watch it?
No, but I've seen the previews,
and so now I'm adding it to my list.
Yeah, I saw I got a good review too, like 90-something percent.
Sasha Baron Cohen is dating a 27-year-old only fans model.
I saw that.
How old are you?
53.
53.
Very nice.
Very nice.
Do we assume that every only
fan's model is doing
naked stuff?
Yes.
I do.
And maybe,
I don't know if I should assume that or not,
but whenever it's so-and-so
is an only fan's model,
I'm like, oh, she's showing nipples and vagina.
Or at least they're doing something sexy, right?
Like, in a bikini.
There's a difference.
There's a difference in bikini
and naked, though.
There is, yeah.
Because you can put bikini up on Instagram.
Yeah.
So, Sasha Baron Cohen
stepped out for a day,
date night with his 27-year-old only-fans model girlfriend after finalizing his $75 million
divorce from Isla Fisher.
Dang.
$25 million.
The Borat star, 53, and Hannah Palmer were photographed leaving dinner together at an undisclosed
location this week, according to photos obtained by the sun.
They left the restaurant separately and then jumped into the same Cadillac escalade
limo.
Despite the age difference, they're really getting on well and seemed to have a lot to talk about.
I mean, look how cute she is.
and then look at him.
I don't get it.
Well, he's famous.
Yeah, that's any successful guy.
But this I really don't get.
He's rich and famous.
He, I mean, pull up the bell at check on a picture.
His divorce is $75 million.
I mean, he's got $75 himself.
Right, so he's super rich.
Well, she might be super rich herself.
And funny.
And funny, super talented.
Yeah.
Okay.
Do you think they met because of only fans?
Like, did he meet her on Onlyfans?
It doesn't say.
Or she just happened to be a model.
Okay, here we go.
According to the sun,
the Bruno Star and Palmer
first met
at
Taika Watiti's
50th birthday bash
hosted in Abiza, Spain.
Yeah, likely story.
Yeah.
That's where you meet people.
Yeah, of course.
You know, you've all met at
Taika Watiti's 50th birthday bash?
It turned out to be great people.
So many.
Yeah.
While the two
spent hours deep in conversation,
and a source says they're just friends.
Yeah, page six.
Maybe she doesn't do naked stuff.
I don't know.
But when they say OnlyFans motto, I think they do naked stuff.
That's what I'm saying.
Abby and Amy should do like just bikini stuff.
What?
You can just talk about any,
do your podcast in a bikini, OnlyFans.
Make a lot of money.
I'm good.
You think you could?
That's what, I mean, that's what you're saying.
There is another part of OnlyFans, right?
Mike, how only, how naked is OnlyFans?
95%.
I would say probably.
It's also like messaging with people.
so if they're not doing naked stuff,
they're like forming relationships through
being paid to text them.
Speaking of my podcast,
on an episode a while back,
we talked about pay pigs.
Tell me more.
I don't know what that is.
Well, it's called Fendom,
which is financial domination.
Okay.
Where men, the pay pigs,
they just want to be told
what to do with their money.
So you say like,
give me, I want to get my hair done today,
give me $500 or, you know,
something crazy and ridiculous.
And they like want to pay it.
or I'm going shopping.
Give me $1,000 right now.
To be told.
Yeah, like, how much money did you make today?
Give it all to me.
So it's a dominatrix, but you just want to be told.
Yeah, and so the thing is Fendom.
And so we did this whole thing, and I, like, call my boyfriend, was, like, demanding money.
And he was like, no.
And I was like, $1?
Like, he was just like, no.
So we hung up.
So anyway, that's an episode.
So they're broken up now.
No.
This was a while back.
But we just got an email.
from this guy, like to our podcast email, saying, I'm a pay pig and I would love to give y'all
money. Just ask for it. And so now we're like, what do we do?
That's a scam. No, no. No, I think he's legit. What do we ask for it? Should we ask for it?
Because, like, I've seen those comments where they're just like, I have a lot of money. I don't
know what to do with it. Does anyone want it? I'll show you the email.
You ever seen those comments? Hey, tiny man, give me $50.
Okay. Gives it to you. Yeah.
subject love your content
either one of you
demand money for me and I will definitely
pay no strings attached please try it
it'll be fun for both of us really no strings
attached I just need to know how to send you the cash
I can do PayPal or Venmo or whatever
just let me know do it
you know he's gonna like type with one hand
and whack with another
but you still get the money
but that's what why do you think that
but that's it I know you still get the money Amy
everyone wins
how much what's the good amount to ask for
you think?
A thousand?
Because don't ask for too little.
So you want to slightly ask for too much.
But then I have to, I mean,
so do we just give him my Venmo and see what happens?
Yes.
And you have to ask for a thousand.
If I were him, though,
I don't want you to call me up on the phone and demand it.
Yeah.
Oh, if you were him.
Then this gets dicey and I don't just don't want to be
wrapped up with this guy.
Hey, tiny Tim!
Give me the freaking thousand dollars.
Yeah.
That's how.
They want to be.
Because I want to buy a purse, you little twerk.
Yeah.
And they like that.
Bobby, you would be good at this.
Yeah.
I'm in.
Bobby never even heard of it.
Look, he's already an expert.
I'm in.
Yeah, I'd follow up on that one.
Anyway, well,
do it.
I'm gonna have his email.
Just let us know how it goes.
We don't want to be involved in it.
Amy, what happened?
Well, I am a bonehead
because I ordered some stuff online
and specifically went to the bogos,
like the sale items.
When you're doing that, when you shop through apps,
you can be like, what's on sale right now?
And I ordered all of this stuff
because it was buy one, get one free.
And I just clicked on them and added them to my cart.
When they showed up in my house, I didn't have two of everything.
I had one of everything.
And I was like, dang it.
The only reason why I bought this was because I was going to get one for free.
Wait, don't you get one though for free if you just buy the one?
Yeah, but you have to click because you're using a shopper.
Like someone else is shopping for you through the app and they see you only want one.
I had to click two.
I just clicked one.
So I did all of that.
and I didn't even get to take advantage of the sale.
And so now I don't know if I can go back to the store and show them my, like, Instacart and say,
hey, I didn't put two in my cart, so they only got me one.
I don't think you show them your phone Instagram cart.
I think, though, I would be confused by that.
I would think if I were just buying one, I would be getting one for free.
Yeah, but you have to, they don't want to just put extra things in your cart that you didn't order.
You have to put, if you put two in your cart, you'll get one of them for free.
But I only put one in my cart.
So I ordered all this stuff they got me.
I don't think you should have got.
Because I think I would get got.
I would just assume if I bought one, I'd get another for free.
That does make sense, though, when you go to the grocery store and it's buy one,
get one free, like, if you don't just show up with one box of macaroni and cheese,
they're not going to say, like, where's your free one?
Yes, yeah.
The person checking you out, it's not like, you should go get another box.
You have to put two in your cart to get the deal.
So I was trying to poop her she's not a bonehead, but you'd like to further emphasize she's a bonehead.
I think she's a bonehead.
Huh.
I am a bonehead.
Okay.
Because they got me.
You only end up spinning, because sometimes you don't even need.
The bogo. You don't even want the item, but you're like, I get one for free.
So I'm going to get it.
I'd like for you to take it easy on yourself.
I don't think you need to be a bonehead here.
That's my personal bonehead.
But do you go buy stuff just because it's buy one, get one free?
Stuff you may not even need?
Well, I mean, eventually I know I'll need it, but I'm...
That's how they get you right there.
Yeah, that's why they do promotions.
Yeah, no, I know why they do promotions, but I mean, you're buying stuff you didn't even need.
No, I just wasn't out of paper towels.
but if there's a Bogo going on,
then I'm going to buy a big bag of paper towels
and I'm going to get another one for free,
except for only one thing of paper towels
shut up my porch.
Stevenson was the one, my son,
he was the one bringing in all the groceries
and he put him on the counter and I said,
hey, bud, I think you miss some stuff.
Half of it.
You miss the other bag, you know, of all the free stuff.
There's definitely more stuff on the porch.
Continue bringing in.
He goes, Mom, this is everything.
And that's how I learned.
I was like, I'm an idiot.
That's good for our listeners to know, though.
If it's bogo, make sure you,
order both. I just, I'm telling you, if I did it, I would think if I put two in there,
I'm going to get four. That's what I would think. Right. So read the terms. I never do that either.
I just click the, I just check mark the box and get out of town. Yeah. We're done. Thank you guys.
We will see you guys tomorrow. Goodbye, everybody.
