On our latest episode, we got comedian, Blake Anderson from Workaholics and The Hilarious. This is Important Podcast. Let's go. We did beat them in improv. You had an improv against the team?
Starting point is 00:00:18 Yes. We would pull up their schools would be there with signs for us. It's competition. What you would win is a bottle of gold shlogger. James Fester threw it out of a van because he didn't want us drinking it. For more games with names, visit the IHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcast. Hello, gorgeous, it's Lala Kent. Host of Untraditionally Lala.
Starting point is 00:00:39 My days of filling up cups at Sir may be over, but I'm still loving life in the valley. Life on the other side of the hill is giving grown-up vibes, but over here on my podcast, Untraditionally Lala, I'm still that Lala you either love or love to hate. It's unruly, it's unruly, unafraid, it's untraditionally Lala. Listen to Untraditionally Lala on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hey, I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and host of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. You can have opinions. You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:02:15 Hey there, folks. Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes here. Starting point is 00:02:57 Welcome to Tuesday show. Morning studio. Morning. So it's basketball team win state championship. And congratulations to them. Super cool. Then there was a scoring error that nobody realized it happened during the game. So the coach was like, we got to give it back.
Starting point is 00:03:13 The losing coach? No, the winning coach said give it. I would never do that. No way. No way. That is crazy. Let me read the story here. So after discovering they had won the championship due to a scoring error,
Starting point is 00:03:24 the Oklahoma City Academy of Classical Christian Studies, girls' basketball team chose to return the title. Head coach Brendan King reviewed the game footage, confirmed that Apache High School had actually won, and shared the truth with players who agreed they needed to make it right. The team's decision, led the league to transfer the title to Apache. Oh, that's tough.
Starting point is 00:03:47 They want everybody to know that they got a plaque and gesture of integrity and sportsmanship, though. Yeah. Who cares? That doesn't. That's not the same thing. Well, would you rather lost and kept the trophy that's so shady? No one to tell anyone.
Starting point is 00:04:00 Yeah, no one knows. Everybody saw you win. You would go down in history, Amy, as the champ. So this is what I think would inevitably happen. Because I think I would give it back as well. But not because I'm some man filled with integrity. Eventually, someone's going to notice that and it's going to be given back. So you might as well get ahead of it.
Starting point is 00:04:19 Because someone's going to notice in that championship game. At some point, there was a mess up. It may be the internet. It may be TikTok or Twitter. It's going to get noticed. And you know what? You're a Christian school. You have to be like, we did the right thing.
Starting point is 00:04:32 We had to do the right thing. Why did Christians talk like that in your mind? Talk very softly. We had to do the right thing. I applaud them for doing it because they did it for the right reason. I don't think I would have done it for what the right reasons are. I think if you said, hey, if I got like a little devil lands on my shoulder, hey, man. So here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:04:51 You didn't cheat, but you won because there was a mess up, but no one will ever know. Do you want to keep it? Maybe I say yes to that. I don't know that I would. Maybe I would. And he would call you champ too. And he'd be like, you're one of the greatest of all time. Nobody expected you guys to win.
Starting point is 00:05:05 Maybe. But because I think eventually with everything being recorded, phones, I think it's going to get flipped and it's easier to flip it now than it is in six months whenever you have to forfeit. After you have your the banner comes down you got to take the banner down. So I would have given it back had I known. Here's the thing. I wouldn't review the tape. We won the championship. I don't think I got to ever watch.
Starting point is 00:05:30 Correct. No, and you played dumb. You're like, oh, no, we. No, no, I wouldn't have played dumb. I just wouldn't me let me see that. We didn't win. Are you sure? It says the team voted unanimously. No, no chance. No chance. You know, there was one kid like, coach, come on. Come on. Let's not say anything. There's a commercial Amy from like, I don't know, like 93 or 94. And it's like I do the right thing commercial. And this kid hits the ball out in a game. And the ref goes out. But it doesn't point at the kid
Starting point is 00:05:59 who hit it out. And the kid goes over to the coach. And the coach, that was out on me. And the coach's like, no. The ref called me. No, coach, I need to do it. And he's like, okay. So the kid goes over and goes, Ref, that was out on me. And the wreck goes, oh, switch sides. And then it goes, do the right thing. Yeah. It's a cornyest commercial ever. But I remember it.
Starting point is 00:06:18 Like, core memory of commercials. That's this. We should use a little on this show sometimes. What do you mean? Oh, for sure. Yeah. Oh, like on games and stuff? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:26 Yeah. A lot of real anger that happens here. Yeah. So shout out. Shout out to the team. I think those kids, like, yeah, it'd have been cool to be the champ. It would have been cool to be the champ. But second cool would be.
Starting point is 00:06:39 being a part of something bigger than just the game. And so I applaud that coach. Head coach, Brendan King, good for you. Good job, man. For going back. He did the right thing. Eddie, awful. Eddie was keeping scored like his kids games.
Starting point is 00:06:55 And he realized you could cheat if you wanted to. Well, I was... He didn't cheat. Well, I kind of just thought, I put the fouls on the wrong team. And so the other team got in trouble. They were in foul trouble before they really should have been. And did you correct it? No, no, we just kind of went on.
Starting point is 00:07:09 Oh, gosh. See? This is that. He didn't cheat though because it wasn't on purpose. It was an accident. I know, but once you realize it, you correct it. Can you imagine stopping the game? Guys, real quick, sorry.
Starting point is 00:07:20 I'm here with this. No, we just went on. And it was fine. Did you win? I don't remember. Oh, stop. Shut up. The other team foul out?
Starting point is 00:07:28 I don't remember. The other team had one player left because everybody had fouled out. Do the right thing. Yeah, hey, coach, it was out on me. Yes. All right, here's a voicemail from last night. I just wanted to point out that Lunchbox thinks that he's so famous, but he was standing in front of one of his coworkers at a football game,
Starting point is 00:07:47 and she didn't even recognize him. Have a good day. That's from the podcast yesterday. Yeah. I didn't see him. I recognized him. I just didn't see him. Your son did, though, in the bathroom.
Starting point is 00:07:58 Yeah, but there was no reason for me to ever think in a million years it was actually Lunchbox. That was yesterday on the podcast. If you want to hear all the backstory to that, just go search for the Bobby Bone show. The whole thing was Lunchbox getting recognized. by a kid in the bathroom and then it just went from there. Yeah, yeah. All right, next one. I am remarried for 37 years.
Starting point is 00:08:18 I did have a marriage before that where I still have the wedding pictures. I don't know about getting rid of those memories, that album. I'd like your studio and you guys to help me with this. Should I get rid of these or am I disrespecting my husband now who I love dearly and my children? Let me know. I need this debate it. I think the fact that you have kids with that first husband eliminates anything that the original or that the new husband can get mad about. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:50 First of all, it's not a district. It's already seven years. Like, get over, buddy. There's probably Polaroids. Or probably where you pull that curtain over your head and go poof. So as long as they're not like up on the wall or in the bedroom, like your wedding picture. Yeah. It's not a big deal.
Starting point is 00:09:07 Put them in a box. And your excuse is. always, that's the father of my kids. Yeah, it's also part of your life and your story. I don't think keeping them in a box is you holding onto that relationship. But I'm not worried about that. I'm just worried about the pushback you could get from a weirdo husband. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:22 That's the normal thing to feel, but that doesn't always mean that's how it's going to be reacted to by the other person. Because if the other, the husband's like, no, it's weird. You have old pictures of your ex-husband. Like, that makes me feel uncomfortable. You have to appreciate the feelings of your new husband. You do. We talk about that all the time.
Starting point is 00:09:36 But secondly, you can always just go, it's a father of my kids. Like, I'm going to keep those because I think they may want them at some point, right? I think that's, and if he's a weirdo like that, you should divorce him too.
Starting point is 00:09:48 No. You should go over two. Well, he may need to maybe work on some things. But I think if you have a new husband and he feels uncomfortable for whatever reason about, then you just put him in a frigging bank vault
Starting point is 00:10:01 or something. You don't get rid of them. You don't burn them. You just say you did. I always find that works for me. Just lie a little bit. I wouldn't call it. lie. I'd call it a misplaced
Starting point is 00:10:10 truth. Okay. Oh, interesting. You guys can call us 877 77 Bobby. Here's another one. I've got a question. Why don't you know your neighbors? That's kind of interesting. I hear that a lot. Take care.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Just never met him. Well, you can just I mean, yeah, you could go over and introduce yourself. That's so awkward. Hello, neighbor. It is awkward. Or if you see them out. If somebody knocks on my door and I don't know who it is, get the gun.
Starting point is 00:10:46 Unless I drive up in a white van and I fake like Amazon. Like, why is anybody even coming to my door? Yeah. Well, if you've just moved in, that's often when it makes sense for neighbors to pop in and be like, hey, here's a little for bread or welcome to the neighborhood. Why is my neighbor trying to poison me? That's what I would say. Or here's some cookies. When I moved in, I got a loaf of bread.
Starting point is 00:11:04 I got brownies. Got some pound cake thing that was amazing. I mean, I really haven't talked to my neighbors much since then. but it was very thoughtful. And it's just because I don't see them as much. But we'll text every now and then. Like, hey, this is going on. You good?
Starting point is 00:11:16 Like my neighbor the other day, hey, saw this strange man walking up your driveway. You're good. And I'm like, I'm good. Thank you. When I needed to reach out to my neighbors, I use a conduit, Amy. Yes.
Starting point is 00:11:25 She does know your neighbors. She knows them. She's been over at her house while I was there. Weird. She was in like the backyard. Yeah. And if I knew that you were like not weird about meeting your neighbors, I would be like, Bobby, come over.
Starting point is 00:11:37 But now it's a whole thing. Well, what is? Why is it a whole thing? Because I don't know my neighbors. And it's too late. You moved in a long time ago. But you're making it a thing. Yeah, I like that though.
Starting point is 00:11:46 I like making things a thing. Yeah, well, it's easy. Next time you see them outside, just be like, hey. I never see them outside. We have gates in between. I guarantee you if you peek and you look, you'll see them. I don't want to be peeking over the gate. I'm not well-set from home improvement.
Starting point is 00:12:02 Yeah, I know. I mean, it might take a little effort on your bar, but you will see them out there. It just feels creepy and invasive to be looking. looking over a gate. And also I'm not going to walk over and knock on anybody's door because that's weird now. Hey, what do you even do? Because there's no way that to any neighbor that I don't know. If you go to anybody's door, this is not in 1984 anymore. You knock on any door of somebody you don't know, you're trying to sell something. Because even you're dropping off packages now, you're dropping them off and leaving. Why would you be knocking on anybody's door
Starting point is 00:12:31 to talk to them? I don't think that that's just a 1984 thing anymore. I think neighbors still do that. I just told you when I moved a year ago, it has. happened to me. And did they stop and talk to you? What? They talked to you or they leave stuff on the porch? No, they came in. Oh no. Oh my God. They went into your house? What the? And I was... Why did you let them in? You know they were going to kill you? Uh, no, it wasn't weird. Like, she was really nice. And of course, if I see them outside, like, we say hi. That's a given, yeah. Not to Bobby. I've never, I've never seen them outside. Never once in the history of my life have I just seen them outside. But your house is different. You have
Starting point is 00:13:07 trees in between your yard. So it's like you would really be peaky. I'd have to climb a tree to watch over. I got to put a tree stand up there and just wait for them to come out. Okay, how about this? I know. I don't want to be sent out on it. When you had the fence issue and I had to text and be like, hey, I don't know if you know the fence, you know, got blown down or whatever it happened. A tree fell on it. Maybe now that it's fixed, you could go over and be like, hey, this whole fence thing got me thinking we haven't met yet and I just want to come over. Knock on the door? I don't want to knock on anybody's door. But it's not that weird. Even people I know. I don't want to knock on a door.
Starting point is 00:13:37 It's weird, Amy. It's weird. It is not weird. Okay, let me say I have friends' houses that I'll go to. Let's say I go over to friends' houses and play pickleball or something. I don't even knock on the door. Then I text them to go, hey, I'm almost here. I'm each outside. I know, but when did it start to feel like that uncomfortable with... I'm an uncomfortable person in general. So this is specifically you think? Of course. Well, you just said, Eddie's saying it's also weird. It is. It is. It's 1984. Nobody needs to be doing that anymore. But if this is specific to you... I think it's very much specific. Okay. So other people carry on, get to know your neighbors.
Starting point is 00:14:10 Remember that one time years back that I guess I wasn't saying hi to certain neighbors, which I wasn't meaning to, but a lot of times when I would walk, I'd be on my phone and she emailed me. Well, that's the other thing. They thought you were snobby. Yeah. It wasn't fair, but I don't walk. Yeah, she emailed me and said that, I mean, that was, thinking back on that, that was hard. That was a really hard email to receive in a very bizarre situation.
Starting point is 00:14:32 But ever since then, I try to, like, say hi to neighbors, but it's weird. If you're on the phone or you're listening to a, you know. I never leave my yard. Okay. Never. Do you wave to your neighbors? No, he doesn't see them. But like what if they're driving by?
Starting point is 00:14:44 Like, how do they drive by? Like if you're at your mailbox. You've been to my house. Yeah, like if you're leaving and they're leaving. They have tinted a window, so do I. We don't know. Okay. It's just unique to him.
Starting point is 00:14:55 Like it's, you know, I got it. Your house, it's not the perfect environment for nurturing neighbor relationships. And neither is my soul and brain. Correct. So it's perfect. Like you have all the, it's like a perfect storm. I don't trust people either. I don't trust people either.
Starting point is 00:15:09 I don't need people like trying to get in over there. What? The people. Anybody. Okay. What are they up to? They're not up to anything. Trust me.
Starting point is 00:15:16 They're good. Hey, what do they. That's what everybody says. That's what everybody says. I would never guess they were up to something. No. The people that are up to stuff, you never would have guessed they were up to something. What's that show called?
Starting point is 00:15:25 Your neighbors? No. What about what you shared the other day? Good show. A package got delivered to their house that was yours and they kindly brought it over. They walked it over. They walked it over and I thought there was a delivery guy and I didn't even open the door. Oh, that's weird.
Starting point is 00:15:38 I thought it was a delivery guy. I don't open the door for delivery guys because I don't want somebody busting in my house. And so they delivered. I didn't have my glasses on either. And they delivered it and I saw them and I just did like a head nun. Yeah, I probably could. If I would have for sure opened the door and said, hey, thank you for walking that over. I'm not against a good human hello.
Starting point is 00:15:56 Okay. But I do appreciate them walking that food over. Now let's say food gets delivered to your house and it's theirs. I'm going to call you and say, Amy, will you tell them? There's food. You got to go all the way over there, Amy. Okay. Okay, I'll handle it.
Starting point is 00:16:12 I'm not saying it's not odd and I'm not an odd person at all. Like, that's the opposite. What I'm saying. I'm very odd. And it just like, I don't know. That's why I haven't met my neighbors. The other neighbors on the other side, they're not even there for three quarters of a year.
Starting point is 00:16:26 I thought I saw moving trucks there. Are you sure they didn't move out? They could have. Hey, I don't know them. They could have. Yeah, I'm not again. people and I like people, but I don't like people in my space, and I don't want to get in people
Starting point is 00:16:39 space mostly because I don't think people want me in their space. So, unless there's a fire, we're all good. Okay. And even then if there's a fire at their house, I'm probably going to call Amy and be like, hey, we let them know those are fires. You guys, hit us up if you want. 877-77 Bobby. I want to talk to Amanda in Oklahoma City. Amanda, you're on the show.
Starting point is 00:16:58 Hey, guys, how's it going? Doing pretty good. What can I do for you? So, I wanted to ask, Bobby, have you ever? thought about the fact that you might be a high-function autistic. Oh, yeah. Yes. Yeah, I took a test. Self-diagnosed.
Starting point is 00:17:11 No, not self-diagnosed. I went to an autism website and took a test and I have adult autism. That's self-diagnosed. No, the website diagnosed me. I'm web-diagnosed. Okay. That is more reliable than just him. Than self.
Starting point is 00:17:25 Yeah. Okay. Barely. Amanda, why do you ask that? Well, I have a 19-year-old high-functioned. child and he is the same way. He will not go out of his way to meet people, but if someone comes up to him and says,
Starting point is 00:17:41 hi, how are you doing that I'm so-and-so? He forms bonds, but he's very cautious about those bonds. But that's what I'm saying. Amy, that also makes you be his person, which means that Bobby trusts you more than anybody else in his life, and he will come to you for anything. Oh, I think also I just happen to know his neighbor.
Starting point is 00:18:00 You know, a little bit of both. But I don't want it to be. be taken that if somebody comes up to me, I'm like, I don't want to bother people. I feel like I am bothersome. I'm a nuisance whenever I'm around, even not my personality, just being there. But that's a story you're telling yourself. Yeah. Because you're not a nuisance. And I'm telling myself loudly and I tell it to myself every day all over and over. And I'm telling myself right now, again. So, yeah, I feel like people have other things to do than have me around. And I'm doing nothing but annoying people. So why am I going to go over and knock on the door and be like, I'm
Starting point is 00:18:30 here and they're like, oh, no, I got something in the oven or we got kids are not acting good. or we've got a leak upstairs and then here I am like, hi, embrace me. I don't want to do that to anybody. So that, not for me. I ain't trying to go in and meet anybody. So if someone were to do that to you, like, let's say I'm your neighbor
Starting point is 00:18:50 and I come do that to you. Am I annoying you? If I got stuff in the oven, I got kids going crazy. Okay, then that's not what it is. No, probably not. If there was a real reason. The reason is I would just like to get to know my neighbor
Starting point is 00:19:04 and not in a long form, just short form, get to know my neighbor. What does that mean short form? I don't even know how to get rid of you. I don't know how to get off the phone with people either. But you don't have to. Yes, you do. I don't get on the phone.
Starting point is 00:19:15 Yeah, but if we were to need to get on the phone. I don't know how to say bye on the phone, meaning there's never a moment that feels natural for me to go, all right, hey, good talking to you. I'm just like, oh my God, when do I end this? So I end calls so much earlier, even with people that I need to talk to, like a few minutes in and it's like, okay, well, good to talk. And they're like, wait.
Starting point is 00:19:35 And I don't even want to get off the phone, but I still get off the phone with people. Because I feel like I'm annoying them. They don't want to be talking on the phone to me. But they called you. I know. Yes, I know. That's why I need FaceTime. At least I can see visual cues.
Starting point is 00:19:50 Okay. Like the actual oven and food in it. Maybe kids acting bad. That too. Yeah. So, Amanda, I appreciate that. You know, you didn't call and just go, hey, Bobby, you're a jerk. Because I don't feel like I'm a jerk.
Starting point is 00:20:03 I just, I don't want to bother people on it. I feel like I'm always, I'm just not, nobody wants me there. So I'm just not going to connect. Okay, so from a mom of a child who was diagnosed at the age of three with autism, okay? And I have gone through all kinds of mess with my child. And now he is 19 years old, has a driver's license, has a job. He is very much functioning, okay? Bobby, meet your neighbors.
Starting point is 00:20:28 Okay, do you have kids? They have kids. Send your child over there. Okay, I'll do that. Yeah, all right. I agree. I'll do that. I'll send my child over there. Send Caitlin over there with the baby in her belly. Hey, Caitlin, will you mind walking over there and just being like, what up?
Starting point is 00:20:43 I hear you. I'm just odd. I get it. I've always been odd. It's, I don't know. Well, she's saying if you want to break out of this. I'm good. I'm good. I don't want to break out of it. You don't. I don't want to have an interest either way. So it's not like I'm... Well, it sounds like pretty, but it sounds to live that way or have those thoughts all the time is exhausting. Yeah. That's why I'm always tired.
Starting point is 00:21:04 Right. Because of that. Yeah. Well, that's just one of the many things. But you can work towards like rewiring your brain. I got other stuff to work towards and rewire my brain in different ways. I was watching the new task last night. Okay.
Starting point is 00:21:15 Maybe I'll watch it. No, I'll do that tonight. It's not a spoiler or anything. I was feeling so sad for the kid on that show because, like, I knew what he was feeling. Haven't been shipped around to different places growing up. Like, I rarely feel like emotion when watching TV shows unless a dog dies. You kill a dog on a show or a dog. is in danger, risk my gut out.
Starting point is 00:21:37 I don't even want to, I can't even. And my wife will be like, you care more about the dog dying than the human. I'm like, yeah, duh. Dogs never hurt me. That's kind of that kind of thing. Oh, I don't mean to me making, I kind of did it, but whatever. There's a kid and like I just, and like he gets, he lives with drug addicted parents and then he is moved around and like, I'm watching.
Starting point is 00:21:57 I'm just like, all I can like think about is, man, I know exactly how that kid feels. And he's not even like the main part of the show. And so the show is all, I know you hated Amy. I like to ask. I'm all in. You said that you didn't like you said something like you hated the name of it. You hated the actors. Wow, wow.
Starting point is 00:22:15 It's great. There's one more episode. Exagger. Big time. So one more after this one? Yeah. It's such a good show. It's on HBO Max.
Starting point is 00:22:23 It's really good. Okay, Amy. Okay, Amy. It was episode one. You're being over the top a little bit. No, episode one was slow. Once it picked up, I'm all in. I've said that.
Starting point is 00:22:33 If I don't like a show, tell you. You did, and you said he didn't like that. No, it's not what I said. How did this turn into me being weird? Everybody knows I'm weird. I've been weird for my whole life. I don't think it makes you weird. Does it help that Bobby knows he's weird? And I don't even want to break the cycle. I'm too old to break the cycle at this point. Let's say you're self-diagnosed. That cycle. That cycle. I'm about to have a kid. I'm about to have a kid. I'm focused on that. Well, I just want to say since you took a test and you've self-diagnosed.
Starting point is 00:23:01 No, web diagnosed. Please respect the medical language. you've web diagnosed yourself, I don't want to say, like, that's not weird. Autism's not weird. If that is truly the root of what some of your... My feeling is you don't think it's truly the root. I don't. I don't. I think there's other things and we can work on it. However, if that's the storyline we're going with at the moment, like, I don't want to portray that as weird because we have, like, you know, that mom calling in, she wouldn't, her son's not weird. He operates differently. Yeah. But weird does that be bad, though, either. Weird can actually be awesome.
Starting point is 00:23:37 You know, we have a lot of kids listening, too. I just want to make sure we clarify. We're not saying anybody's weird. Well, I'd like to clarify and say, yeah, a lot of people are weird and it's awesome. It's what makes you totally different and makes you see to high levels that other people wish because they're not weird enough to see things differently. So I'd like to say that weird. Yeah, you don't know. Yeah, I guess. Now you make us feel like, wait, whoa. I know. I'm like, okay, there's some kids that just have a negative connotation with the word weird. I agree. I agree. I'm like, oh, I don't want to be weird. But we understand. that weird is good.
Starting point is 00:24:05 Some kids don't. Some. There's a levels of weird. There's a whole spectrum of weird where you want to be kind of in that good spectrum that brings out positive things. And I've mentioned it before. You're eclectic. Oh, not that.
Starting point is 00:24:19 But yeah. Yeah, that's what's up. Amanda, I appreciate you calling. I know that I have issues. But I think as long as I have these issues that work out for me in a positive way, I feel like and I have 99% of the time. I think it's it's been tough in relationships at times but my wife's broken through. What? What do you mean she's broken through? I listen to her. Oh yeah. Yeah. Or even if it doesn't feel right I listen to her because she's been right so many times.
Starting point is 00:24:49 She's very wise. Yeah she's been right up to well she's been right right too much it makes me it's annoying sometimes. What does she think of your web diagnosis? She thinks stupid. Yeah. Makes sense. Again, she's wise. She's like, you can't just do a bus feed test and all of a sudden you're autistic. That's what she said. Didn't you talk to your therapist about it though? Doctor, our doctor.
Starting point is 00:25:10 Not a therapist. Oh, your doctor. Yeah, because she's pregnant. So we've been at doctor's appointments and we have our general practitioner doctor. Is it called? Not the OBGYN. No, I don't know them well enough. That's a new relationship.
Starting point is 00:25:22 All right. And I was like, yeah, I'm autistic. And he looks at me like, you just can't. say that. I know I didn't say that. I just did it online. Took a test. And my wife's like he basically took a BuzzFeed test. And he goes, you know, I can, he goes, and he was nice about it. And he said,
Starting point is 00:25:39 okay, I can see that. He goes, but mostly I think you have a version of super ADHD with a lot of trauma. And I was like, either way. Like I said, I'll test. Like I said, yes. Yeah, he gets, because you have hyper focus like hyper, hyper, that is unhealthy. If not used
Starting point is 00:25:55 properly. Yeah, in a in a proper way. He goes, but you, I'm not going to say you're not. I wonder if you want the test results to be true. So then you have, like, it's like, oh, well, this explains it all. Oh, yeah, that'd be awesome. I'd love to know why I'm so freaking weird. It's the same, like, with you and what's your disease?
Starting point is 00:26:14 What? ADHD? You're talking about dyslexia? Dislexia, yeah. You're dyslexia. It makes a lot of sense. Yeah. It makes a lot of sense.
Starting point is 00:26:21 It's not a disease. Isn't it nice to know that a lot of the reasons you struggled in school is because of your horrible disease? It was a relief. Like I felt, that's why I started crying immediately because I was like, oh, this all makes sense. And I'm where I felt stupid for so long. And then now I'm like, wow, I try to be proud of myself.
Starting point is 00:26:45 Like, you figured it out. That's how I feel about my late adults at autism. Yeah, same. Web diagnosed. Web diagnosed. It was a relief. You don't think it was relief for him when he had that test? No, I don't say that you're using it as a relief.
Starting point is 00:26:59 Like, you want it as a, like, if you have that, then maybe you don't have to work on stuff. I kind of feel that way, though. I have it, so I don't have to work on anything. But you don't know that you have it. Ah, wepto man. Same. I went and sat on the little ottoman in front of him.
Starting point is 00:27:18 I was, hi, dad. And just when I said that, my mom comes out of the kitchen. She says, I have some cookies and milk. This is a badass convict. Right. Just finished five years. I'm going to have cookies and milk at them all. Yeah.

Starting point is 00:32:24 Hello, Bobby Bones. I heard you guys talking about chat GPT and how it is being banned in schools. But I have a confession. I've been using it to win arguments with my husband. I secretly used it. help me make my point. So when I go into a confrontation, I'm prepared. It hasn't been anything crazy. Now I feel kind of guilty. Should I tell my husband the truth or just hope he never finds out? Would you be upset if you found out your partner was using chat GPT to win an argument? Signed,
Starting point is 00:32:49 chat, Gptina. No, you should use anything. If you go grab an encyclopedia, you get on Google, you go to chat GPT. Anything to help prove what you're saying is right. I think that's okay. Yeah, you may talk it over with your therapist at some point and they may give you different bullet points or script to say. Sort of the same thing. Yeah, I don't even care if you are right. You can get chat GPT to give you like some gas lighting tips too. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:33:12 No? That part I'd stay away from. Because then it's not healthy communication. I'm just trying to win the argument. It's okay to receive. Yeah, yeah. No rule. Receiving help is healthy.
Starting point is 00:33:23 Receiving gas lighting tips. Not so much. ChatGBTGPT is excellent. It's not always right though, if I can warn you. It's probably like out of 80% because it gives me wrong crap all the time. So she could be like, She could say something. It could be wrong and fire on her.
Starting point is 00:33:37 I guess we don't have the arguments. Chad will help you fix the narrative, though, too, to help you say smart stuff. If I were your husband, though, every time we got in an argument, if you're like, oh, I got to poop real quick. I'd be like, where is she going? She goes in the bathroom just to look it up. Nothing wrong with that. You can Google. You can use any resource if you're looking for factual information.
Starting point is 00:33:57 So don't feel guilty about that. If he were smart, he would do the same thing. And you both come in armed with Chad GPT. Who knows he might be? He's using Ask Jeeves if he's losing a lot of those. He's back on Ask Jeeves for sure. Although Eddie thought it was Chat. GBT.
Starting point is 00:34:14 As in boy, B. But I hear you guys say it all the time and it still to me sounds like Chat GBT. Chat Jibbid. All right, thank you for the email. This might be the hardest Bobby Feud we've ever played. Oh, no. So we're going to play the Bobby Feud. variety put together the list of the best pop culture Halloween costumes of 2025.

Starting point is 00:36:26 Eddie? Gosh, I wasn't thinking about anything negative until after Amy said that. Don't guess another version of Taylor, though. Taylor's already number one. I'm done with Taylor for him. I'm going to go with. Selena and Benny Blanco.
Starting point is 00:36:38 No. What's that costume? Like them married. A bride and groom. Okay. There are no couples costumes. Okay. I give you that hint.
Starting point is 00:36:53 Is it back to me again? You're not playing? Amy, just. Stop. She's trying to stall. I'm hosting it. Like, when is he? Just stop.
Starting point is 00:37:01 I mean, that was a good thought. Okay. This is... I'm wrong. There's one couple's costume. Oh, I knew it. There is? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:10 Yeah, there's one. Yeah. Who could that couple be? Okay, it doesn't matter. Rest in peace, Diane Keaton. A Diane Keaton costume. From as good as it gets. She had like a signature look.
Starting point is 00:37:26 Can you put a scarf on? Who are you? I'm Diane Keaton, you know, with Jack Nicholson and as good as it gets. That's a good movie, dude. Hey. I never saw it. That is really good. I'm buying more time.
Starting point is 00:37:36 No, you've lost two rounds now. Who is the only one with the point? You? Yeah, yeah. No, you're right, you're right. You might get the only point. One point. You might win.
Starting point is 00:37:47 I told you it would be hard. Lunchbox? Donald Trump. Show me Trump. Okay. We are doing a variety of put together a list of the best pop culture Halloween costumes of 2025. Can you name the top ten?
Starting point is 00:38:03 After Eddie misses this, I'll give you one. Yes, which I'm going to miss. Okay. This is a bad one. I don't even know. Why I'm saying it. Mark Sanchez. What?
Starting point is 00:38:11 See? Oh my God. Oh my God. What? A jet's uniform and he's all stabbed. What? It's not good, dude. But that's all I had.
Starting point is 00:38:22 Yeah, that made me laugh. Hey, I'm not going to tell you the things in my head are far worse. Well, I just wouldn't have thought about it's Mark Sanchez as a Halloween costume. It's so recent. But like, what would you wear, like, one of his jerseys? You wear a Jets uniform and, like, have blood and then pepper spray in your face and be, In jail. That's terrible.
Starting point is 00:38:41 Okay, I'll give you a hint or two. Thank you. Okay, are you saying they said there's a couple, but maybe they're not really a couple, but maybe they're just like a singing couple. Do you want me to give you a hint or no? Yes, I want a hint. Okay. This one nobody's going to get, so I'm going to go ahead and give it to you at number 10.
Starting point is 00:38:56 Sunny Hayes, Brad Pitt and F1, the race car driver. But we all get that point? Nope. Well, you could, but it's all the same as getting no points. You just don't want to have one point. Oh, my God. Another one. That is so hard.
Starting point is 00:39:11 Miss Rachel. Who? Miss Rachel. Who's Miss Rachel? What's that? From YouTube, the kids, she has a kid's stuff. She's the biggest, like, top. She's like a teacher.
Starting point is 00:39:23 You don't know Miss Rachel? I don't even have kids and I know Ms. Rachel. I probably know Ms. Rachel's face. She does, like, the fun learning videos. Yeah, like colorful. Okay. Yeah. Never would have guessed, sir, but, okay.
Starting point is 00:39:35 Is it my turn? It is. Okay. You're in the lead. I have no idea, guys. So I'm just going to go. People are going to dress up as Riley Green and Ella Langley.
Starting point is 00:39:46 I know. Okay. All right, but you are probably safe to make it to the next round. With the one point. Lunchbox? Oh, yeah, I'm just trying to think, I mean, who
Starting point is 00:40:01 could people want to be? Little kids, they look up to this person. I don't know how you dress up as this person, but they love this person. Give me Mr. Beast. Show me Mr. Beast. Miss Rachel's on there. Why not Mr. Beast? I guess.
Starting point is 00:40:17 Mr. Bese doesn't have a look. He's like a weird dude. He's a nerdy dude. Mr. Rachel has a for sure look. What about? This could be for the win. Chit.
Starting point is 00:40:27 That is like between y'all. No, no, no. He's huge on TikTok. Give me chit. If chit is on there. I'll be like, what the?
Starting point is 00:40:40 What the shit? It's not even a thing. That's funny. That's funny. Nobody even says the bad version. Amy, that's funny. I do. Show me that.
Starting point is 00:40:47 Oh, man. That was good. All right, that's game over. Andy, you've won. Now we've got to play for second place with these guys. Okay. Oh, boy.
Starting point is 00:40:56 We might be here all day. This has never happened. Someone won with one boy. Okay, I want to give me the couple, a hand about the couple. You don't know their names. Well, how are we going to guess them? You don't know their name.
Starting point is 00:41:07 You know what they did. But you don't know their names. Say it if you know. I don't know that, but I just thought of something else. Well, hold it. Hold up. We're trying to figure this out. Okay.
Starting point is 00:41:18 A couple... But you don't know their names. But you know what they did. They did something. They did something. Wildly famous. Like got crazy famous for a while. But you don't know their names.
Starting point is 00:41:33 You can research their names and find it, but we don't know their names. Like if I were just to ask you their names, you wouldn't know it. They did something wildly. They got super famous for about a week. Okay? The answer was cheating Coleplay couple. Oh my gosh. Yes. That'd be a good costume.
Starting point is 00:41:53 That was a viral moment. What did you have? I have the women that went to space. Oh, no, that's a funny group costume, though, but no. Like Katie Perry and. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like a jumpsuit.
Starting point is 00:42:05 That's good. Yeah. Okay. Anything else? No, I can give you hints for another one. Okay. Biggest Netflix show ever. Stranger Things.
Starting point is 00:42:16 Oh. It's not Stranger Things. Oh! You're out. Oh, I got it. Squid game. No. It was K-pop Demon Hunters, the new biggest show on Netflix ever.
Starting point is 00:42:33 Of course. I kids know that one. Okay, the next one. Did you guess Squid games because it started dancing like a squid? No. No. That's not dancing like a squid. That's like Tweety Bird.
Starting point is 00:42:42 The squids dance. Oh, I don't know. I was like... Okay, next one? Failing about. I have one of these. Oh, Eddie. Eddie.
Starting point is 00:42:51 I'm in Labiboo. Correct. Winner. Yes! And I got a Halloween one here too. How many of those do you have now? Just two. I have the red one and then I have my Halloween lobooboo. That's pretty cute.
Starting point is 00:43:03 That would be so cute if you dress up, like your friend dresses up as a bag or a purse and then you dress up as a lobooboo and you're like attached to the bag. Here are the others. Sabrina Carpenter. Wednesday Adams. Superman. And the dog. That'd be cool. And Glendow or Elfabuffin Wicked.
Starting point is 00:43:33 As I said at the start, that was the hardest one ever. None of those came to mind. They all make sense, but it's hard to just grab it those. The Coldplay couple... That's awesome. Yeah, I'd never thought of that, though. But that's so good. Yeah, you guys yelled at me when I said, you don't know their names.
Starting point is 00:43:46 What? How could it be on the live? So how are people gonna, are they just gonna, like, dress up and, like, the guy's gonna be behind the girl the whole time holding her? I would imagine they could wear, like, a circle, too, that looks like they're in a spotlight. Yeah. Or, like, the square of the screen. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:01 Or, like, have... A couple, but like one of them has like a, or like has Coldplay music playing from their hip. That's funny. I don't know what they're going to do, but I would add elements like that. But Amy, you are the winner. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Stay home at something good.
Starting point is 00:44:18 It's a Friday night in Arizona around 4 a.m. family, asleep in their beds when all of a sudden they hear, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. Someone's banging on their door. Why is someone banging on their door at 4 a.m? Because their house was on full. Fire! The back porch was fully engulfed in flames and someone driving by, notice, banging on the door, and they get out of the house. Firefighters arrive, completely destroyed the house. A family photo was saved. The family is okay. And they said they don't know who saved him. Looks like a doctor because they were in scrubs on the ring doorbell camera, maybe headed to work at the local hospital. And here's the homeowner talking about the, you know, whole rescue. I just want to thank him so much from the bottom of our heart. He saved. mine in my boy's life, my husband's life.
Starting point is 00:45:06 Like, we would have been sound to sleep through it all. What if that wasn't a real person? What if it was an angel? Maybe. In scrubs? Scrangeal. And why don't you stick around? I mean, like, you sit.
Starting point is 00:45:17 Maybe you got somewhere to go, yeah. Maybe he's a delivery driver. And you want to get four stars. Correct. Yeah, crazy story. Great job. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good.
Starting point is 00:45:28 All right, voicemail one. Hit it. I'm curious what's going to happen when Caitlin goes into laborer. and what if Bobby has to leave the show or can't make it on air? Like, what are you going to do? Are you going to build up episodes so that we don't know when the baby comes? Because Bobby never misses the show. He's never late and he never leaves early.
Starting point is 00:45:46 So I'm just curious how that will happen. Thanks. Bye. That is exactly what will happen. There will be a buildup of episodes. And by the way, nobody knows when she's going to labor. Nobody knows where she is. We time delayed the pictures.
Starting point is 00:45:58 It could be at any point. It could be tomorrow. It could be right now. This could be a recording. But yes, there will be a cachet of episodes for the most part built up with some holes. And also I have a studio at my house. Obviously, we work from there sometimes. So you will never know.
Starting point is 00:46:16 It could have already happened. We might already have a bundle of joy. I don't know how to respond to that. Was there ever a thought of going live? No. My idea was, and I've said this, to never say she was pregnant, to just present like a two-year-old. That would be crazy, dude.
Starting point is 00:46:37 Blowing people's minds. For years. Like, don't say anything. And then just be like, here you go. Did you see the video of Mr. Beast? Because he put out a video, he recorded it 10 years ago, and he scheduled it to go up in 10 years.
Starting point is 00:46:48 And he had like 25,000 followers or whatever. And it was him going, saying, this is what I'm going to do. And he did it all. And he did it. Wow. It's really cool. Am I missing anything on that?
Starting point is 00:46:56 Yeah, he was like, I hope I have a million followers in 10 years and now has, like, the biggest channel ever. Wow. They scheduled all of that, and it's him just like sitting in a chair. But if that didn't happen, you just delete the video and never show anyone. Well, no one would see it because if it didn't happen. You never post that.
Starting point is 00:47:12 No, he could still post it, but it wouldn't be a news story because he wouldn't be big. It's just like, it'd be like a video of me being like, I wish I was a billionaire. But then that would be fun, though, because we'd see it and be like, oh, you're not. Not even close. It's a fun video to post. Next one up. We have neighbor friends that we've known for about a year. year that just gave us over $500 as a gift. And the gift was to help us offset the cost of IVF treatments,
Starting point is 00:47:38 which we've been undergoing. We don't need the money. We're fortunate enough to have very good insurance, but we're unsure if they realize that. Our question is, do we keep it or do we give it back? We're a bit uncomfortable accepting this when we don't need it, and it's a lot of money. So what do you guys think we should do? Thanks so much. Love the show. I think a lot of that gift was them using that one as a gesture and then two i don't think you have to actually use that money for there's a lot of money that's coming from your money to go into this ivyf treatment so that means there's money that's could have gone somewhere else keep the money it was a gesture it was a nice gift you don't have to return the gift oh yeah i've been neighbors a year yeah i don't even know my neighbors maybe you should
Starting point is 00:48:23 Amy knows a minor it's uh when it's like an older couple that went through something like that themselves and they just want to like you know take some relief off and i think that that's the point of it more so than actually putting it toward the procedure of inverto inverto inverto in vitro thank you fertilization uh yeah just be grateful that they gave 500 bucks as more of a gesture of you're going through something we'd like to give you this yeah that's what i would say you yeah i mean you keep it it's just weird to go back and be like here take your money back yeah yeah don't do that it's a gift it's a gift. Yeah, it's a gift. In vitro fertilization. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:49:02 Next up. Hey, I was just wondering if Lunchbox gets far enough to spend the wheel on the price is right, what his plan is since he can't raise his arms very high and touch his shoulders. Thanks, blow the show. Like, I've spun that will before. That's a great point. And it's heavy.
Starting point is 00:49:18 It's a heavy wheel. And so, but you've got to reach up high to pull down. You can't do that physically, Lunchbox? No, that's incorrect. It's factually incorrect. I can reach high. I just can't bend Like once I go high Whoa
Starting point is 00:49:31 And then once I bend to come back down They don't come down to my shoulders Do the movement off of doing the wheel Oh I just stand up Yeah Whoa Okay you can do it Now my
Starting point is 00:49:42 Here's my question Let's say I'm the first one that spins the wheel And I get 60 cents on my first spin You gotta spin it again I think so And hopes to get 40 Any 40 or under In hopes to get 80 and over
Starting point is 00:49:57 Because I'm worried about going over and then just being eliminated. Do I want to stay in the battle? Or is that like at Blackjack? You have a 16 and the dealer's showing 20. You got to play. I think before you go up, you have to walk yourself through the situation. If you get to the wheel and you're first, you are going to make sure you're not stepping down unless it's whatever the number you give it, 75, 80, 85. I think you have that.
Starting point is 00:50:20 I think you do it with all three. That way you're prepared and you're not making an emotional decision. The worst decision is an emotional decision. Yeah. Because you're not using your brain. Yeah, and I've got a big brain. There's a lot of scenarios. A lot of stuff.
Starting point is 00:50:31 It's three, but yes, it's a lot. Oh, man. But you got to get there first. Oh, I got to get there first. We're going. Are you doing full spin or like full everything you got or kind of like something in the middle? It's got to go around once though. Yeah, it does.
Starting point is 00:50:43 It does. I'm going full spin because if I try to calculate it, I just don't think there's any way to calculate it without messing up. And then if I get done go all the way around, everybody, hell, that would be embarrassing. It's also pretty heavy. Did you spin it? Yes. Because I know it was on that set. Yeah, that's where I saw.
Starting point is 00:50:58 I didn't spin it when I played the show. I spun it because they had the wheel there on the soundstage where I did Dancing with Stars and American Idol. It just sat there. Yeah, I saw it, lunchbox. People were just going grab it and spin it, so I just fun it. Oh, man. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:09 It's heavy, but it's fine. It's cool. I hit 95. Don't worry about me, though. On the first spin? Yeah, don't worry about me. Wow, man. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:15 Maybe you should go. Stop. Maybe I should go. Stop. Not funny. Not funny. What time did you fly? Not talking about it.
Starting point is 00:51:25 Okay. All right. Thank you for the voicemails. You can always leave them. 877.77 Bobby. So Amy went to dinner and the table next to you had some sort of food that you thought looked good. Yeah. And I was curious which dish it was because there were several pasta dishes listed on the menu. And they had a pasta dish that looks so good. So I said, hey, excuse me, like which pasta dish is that? So then they told me and then both of them looked at us and they were like, but don't get it. And I was like, what? It looks so good. Like I have really I still want to get it even though you're telling me not and they're like it is so salty
Starting point is 00:52:00 And then they offered to let me try it and I was very curious about it Oh, that's interesting. It's weird. If a table next to you offers to let you try their food, do you try their food? Yeah. So making this a game? Yeah, make it a game. I had multiple choice.
Starting point is 00:52:19 A, I took him up on the offer and reached over with my fork and tried a bite of the pasta. Okay. B, he put the pasta on our table and said, seriously, y'all can have it. We don't want it. The whole thing. Yeah, because it's a share plate anyway, so it's not like they were eating out of that bowl. So they were scooping it out of the bowl and putting it on their plates. C, I thanked him but declined the offer.
Starting point is 00:52:42 D, the server overheard us and offered to bring me a small plate of the pasta to try. Oh, that's a good one too. So we're trying to guess what she did. Yeah. It's pretty easy. Which one? Go ahead. It's easy. They put it on your plate because they already
Starting point is 00:52:56 they put it on your table because they already said they weren't going to eat it. So they're like, if you want it, you can have it. And they put it on your table. You took a bite. Bam. She did say that one with a little more detail, a little more umph when she gave that story.
Starting point is 00:53:09 Because she defended it. No, no, here's how they do it. Yeah. So was that A? That's B, right? That was B. It kind of doesn't matter the letter. We kind of just kind of being in there.
Starting point is 00:53:19 She gave a little more detail about how because they weren't eating off that plate. I just feel like it was detailed. Eddie? I think, yeah, same, same. I think she just, they put the plate on her table and she tried it there. They're like seriously having it. You can have the whole thing is what they said. They're like, we don't want to.
Starting point is 00:53:33 I mean, the wife is pretty adamant. Like, this is disgusting. And this is a nice restaurant too. So it looked like they were maybe out on a date celebrating something. I feel like she's going low through hard now. Now, good liars tell a lot of extra details. I'm going to go. No, I think that bad liars tell a lot of extra details.
Starting point is 00:53:50 Good liars. Oh. It depends. That's how you tell their line. Yeah. Oh, okay. Man, that's, that's probably what I would have picked, but I don't want to pick it because I think she went a little too hard.
Starting point is 00:54:01 Okay. Do you think the server would overhear? That's the thing I'm leaning. That's the second one I thought. But the server has to be close enough to hear it. It's an intimate restaurant. And then if the server heard it. It's a type.
Starting point is 00:54:13 No, no, no, no, it's small. Lots of details. If I told you where we were, you'd be like, oh, okay, bad tracks. Because the tables are close together, so that's why, like, them putting it on our table isn't like a stretch or me talking to them isn't a stretch or the server overhearing is not a stretch. I don't think that it was the first option which was, what was it? She reached over with her fork and got it off. That seems weird.
Starting point is 00:54:35 I don't think that's it. Took them up on the offer, reached over with my fork and try to buy it at the pasta. I mean, Amy could do that. I'm not saying it wouldn't be an Amy thing. It'd be what the other people want you to try it out of their pasta. They don't even want it. They don't want it to do it. They offered it to me.
Starting point is 00:54:49 Well, they could give it to you like a little on a plate and pass it over. Yeah. And don't you see Amy just be like, okay. No, I do. Yes. I'm going to go with the server heard it and brought you a little bit. The weird part about that, though, is if the server hears it and they hear the other people not liking it, they're like, oh, don't pay for this. Right.
Starting point is 00:55:06 Well, I don't know how they handled that bill with them because, yeah, if the server overheard it, absolutely. These people probably would have loved to not pay for that pasta. If she said if the server would have heard it. If the server would have heard the part about that being salty. Too salty. Okay. Which one was it? You already picked D.
Starting point is 00:55:25 Which one was it not? Okay. It was not. He put the plate on my table and said, seriously, y'all can have it. We don't want it. Is that the one they pick? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:35 It's not that one. What about the one where they said put your fork in it? You mean me taking him up on the offer and reaching over with my fork and taking a bite? Yeah. It's not it. Oh, okay. So what are the other two options? I'm still alive.
Starting point is 00:55:49 Okay. Bobby's still alive. We still have the server overheard us and offered to bring me a small plate of the pasta to try. And then also we have left, I thanked him but declined the offer. That's a good one too, because you might have done that as well,
Starting point is 00:56:01 depending on the people you're with. Oh, why would you decline it if you were so interested in that meal? Like, you want to try it? Exactly. There's no need to fight her, guys. You've already picked. There's no need to fight her and it could have been wrong. Guys, I wanted to try this pasta so bad.
Starting point is 00:56:12 Yeah, yeah. Okay, so. So bad. What was it? I thanked him but declined. And I've been bummed about it since because then also I didn't order it because they were so adamant about how salty it was,
Starting point is 00:56:22 but I can't eat somebody else's food. I don't know them. I'm not going to eat off their plate, but I've been thinking about that pasta ever since. Because, like, what if their salty taste buds are just off and it was glorious? You did a good job on that one. I didn't order it, though.
Starting point is 00:56:36 You gave great details and you tricked us and you lied and you won. Yeah, this is a fun game. That's a good game. That was. I'm surprised you didn't take it. What'd you end up ordering? Not that. What I get?
Starting point is 00:56:46 Oh, I got some other pasta that the server talked me into. And how was it? Salty. It wasn't that great. Everything was salty, guys. I don't know if it's because they put that in our minds. But like we ordered like sourdough bread and it came with butter and I dipped the bread and the butter. I was like, is there salt?
Starting point is 00:57:03 A lot of salt in the rest of the butter? Like everything tasted salty. Was it the name salt in the name of the restaurant? No. I went and sat on the little ottoman in front of him. Hi, Dad. And just when I said that, my mom comes. out of the kitchen, and she says, I have some cookies and milk.
Starting point is 00:57:23 This is a badass convict. Right. Just finished five years. I'm going to have cookies and milk at them all. Yeah. We're coming into this world fighting for our lives. All I'm going to do is pull out what you already got inside. We're there to support and celebrate each other. And that's not like your story versus my story. You're going to walk up and over that dang mountain. You're not just going to put your mind over it. Yep. Yep. Exactly. Starting point is 01:01:27 We talk tanking. I mean, honestly, like, I might get in trouble for this answer, but I think it's, like, definitely happening in the WBA. And yeah, we talk about our mistakes, too. They pulled me to the side and was like, hey, man, we got a call last night, man. You can't be rolling around the city like this tonight before games, no, you know, doing this, doing whatever.
Starting point is 01:01:46 And of course, family stories. They'll be like, Mommy, why did you miss that? Do you play basketball? Check out Game Recognized game with Stoian Miles on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Lunchbox leaves today to fly to California to try to get on the prices right. Now, we don't have any hookups, so it's not set up for you to get on. Correct. This is me all on me.
Starting point is 01:02:14 Like, just go and you got to make it happen. What time is your flight? My flight is at 5 p.m. Who's going with you? My wife. Who's watching the kids? My parents. Yours have come in.
Starting point is 01:02:24 Now are they going to charge you guys? No. They've said up front there's going to be no charge. Correct. Did you pay for their flights in? They drove. Oh, wow. So you had to pay for the gas?
Starting point is 01:02:32 Nope. All right, good. Nope. Hey, good deal. That works. So you leave today. You get there. You got your tuxedo in California waiting for you?
Starting point is 01:02:41 It is there at the place. I just got to pick it up tomorrow before I go to the price is right. So I will work. And then I'll go to the place, try it on. I figure I'll wear it. out of the store, straight to the price is right. Is your wife going to try to be on the show? No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:02:56 She's just going to leave you there to do your thing. She's doing her thing. She's going to go see her cousin. Oh, right? She has cousin out there in California? Yeah. Oh, that's fun. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:03 Does she think you'll get on? She thinks I'm going to get on. She's been telling everybody. She's been telling everybody, hey, we're going to California. My husband's going on the price is right. Oh, going to be on. And I keep telling people about, it's not guaranteed, but I got a great shot because I got a great personality. And they're like, I can't wait.
Starting point is 01:03:19 I wonder, and this is my question. What kind of player are you going to be? What do you mean? Well, there are players with integrity who get up and they don't do the dollar. I don't have integrity. So if you get up and the time is right, you'll go, what, a dollar over? A dollar over the highest bid. If I think it's higher than that, if I think everybody went over, I'll go down to the dollar.
Starting point is 01:03:37 Yeah. I don't think that's cheated. I don't think the dollar at the bottom. I think that's everybody messing up. Okay. I think the dollar, if you think the person's too low and you're going a dollar over, you just cut their legs out. 100%.
Starting point is 01:03:48 I'm not worried about cutting people's legs out. Because guess what? I'm never going to see those people again. I'm not worried about them. This is my dream. It ain't their dream. Get out. I'm not worried.
Starting point is 01:03:57 No, it's not their dream. But you're right about they're never going to see them again. I'm not worried about their dreams. I'm worried about my dreams. Now, what I have learned from a couple people is that if you don't get on, you can tell us you didn't get on that day. Okay. So if you didn't get on, just be like, I didn't get on. But do you think you're going to get on day one?
Starting point is 01:04:13 Yeah, 100%. Oh. 100%. You just said when your wife says that, you're like, it's not guaranteed. Well, no. I have to tell the people it's not guaranteed because they all say, oh, what? Everybody that she tells asks me, so when does your episode air? When are you on?
Starting point is 01:04:28 I'm like, well, no, no, I'm not guaranteed to be on, but I'm probably going to be on. And have you heard anything from any of the show producers knowing that you're coming out there? I have heard nothing, nothing. Have you said any other emails to be like, I'm coming? Here's my background. Nope, nothing. Have not reached out to them at all. Nata.
Starting point is 01:04:47 Zero, zilch. Got it. And so. Nill. Are you going to get out way early? Yeah, I'm getting out there. Like, I mean, I'm telling you, I, well, I have to wait for the tuxedo shop to open. Oh, you're not going when you land tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:05:00 No, no, no, because it'll be closed by the time I get there. Okay. And then I will work. And then it opens, I think, at 9 a.m. So then I go and get it after work, boom. And they're going to be like, oh, you want to try it on? I'm like, I don't like, I don't want to try it on. I want to wear it out of the store.
Starting point is 01:05:14 They're going to be like, what? How long do you have the rental for? Until Saturday. And you take it back Saturday. Yeah. And you're going to wear the same tux every day. Same tucks every day. I mean, I wasn't going to rent three tuxes.
Starting point is 01:05:24 Yeah. Top hat? No, hats are not allowed. Oh, at all. At all. Got to be able to see your face on camera. Are you going to shave your beard? Why do you read the rules to all this stuff?
Starting point is 01:05:33 But like when we go to the CMAs, it's like dress formal and he shows up in a hoodie. Well, that was like six pages down on the CMA. That was very, they should have put that on the top line. Yes, like, you know, whatever it was, formal, business casual, and he wears a hoodie. but this he knows. But it was a nice hoodie. And, man, and guys, Tux rentals have gotten out of control.
Starting point is 01:05:53 They are super expensive. Really? Oh, they are ridiculous. Is it because you're running it a really nice one, though? And that you're renting it for like five days? You also could have went to like a party store and got one for like 80 bucks, a pretty good one. And just kept it. Seriously?
Starting point is 01:06:05 Yes. Well, because you're like competing with like people getting married here. Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah, if you go to like a party store, you can get like an all black or all white tucks. I mean, it's not high quality, but you can wear, get five wares out of it. Oh. Yeah, I was worried about getting a white because if I'm going to wear it three days in a row,
Starting point is 01:06:22 it's going to start looking dirty. Yeah, that's a good point. And I didn't want to show up on Friday and have like ketchup stains on it and be like, spaghetti sauce. Yeah. They're definitely not going to let me out if I wear it like that. Are you nervous? No. I had nightmares. Nightmares.
Starting point is 01:06:35 Nightmares. Nightmares. About A, I overslept and I missed the taping. B, they changed the studio location and it was like a scavenger hunt and I couldn't find it. And by the time I got there, the gate. were locked. And then the third one I had was I got up there and I froze and I couldn't come over the bid and they said, all right, get them out of here. Oh, that would be terrible. Yeah. And so, I mean,
Starting point is 01:07:00 it has been interrupting my sleep. And this is just a game show, guys. I feel like I'm a player going to the Super Bowl. Like, it's like, this is how they have to feel. Unbelievable. Crazy that I'm having nightmares about the price is right. How sure are you to get on day one? 100%. No, that's not true. That's how confident I am. Okay. I is how confident I am. What, okay.
Starting point is 01:07:25 If you get down to that row and then you don't get on, are you then eliminated the next two days? I'm eliminated. How much of a failure? For 10 years. How much of a failure will you feel if you get to that? Because I don't think you can feel like a failure really if you never get called down. Maybe you can blame it on like your interview or something. But a lot of that's also luck and the kind of person they're looking for.
Starting point is 01:07:47 If you get down to that row and don't get on, is that worse than not getting on at all? Yeah. 100%. Like, and if they don't call, like, here's my thing, is if they don't call me in the first, like, couple calls, I don't want to be called. Because your odds of getting, because you have very few opportunities after that. You do want to be called, though. And I'm just going to be like, I'll pass. I'll come back tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:08:13 Because you may not get called day two or day three at all. You might just only get one. shot. I mean, if I'm the opportunity. Yeah. Oh my gosh. Speaking of a spaghetti. That is my.
Starting point is 01:08:22 On a tech set. My spaghetti. Yeah. On my tech setty. Your percentage for being called down as a contestant on the price is right is approximately 3% assuming a random selection from a full audience of 325 people. However, the selection isn't purely random as producers look for energetic and memorable audience members during pre-show interviews and throughout the taping.
Starting point is 01:08:41 Ooh. No logos, by the way. Don't worry. It does not have a logo. Because, I mean, all your stuff has logos. Yeah, because it's all free. Yeah. But it is all black, looking legit, sharp, got the little buttons.
Starting point is 01:08:54 Are you going to shave your face? Yeah. Got buttons that go right here. Are you getting a haircut? Yeah. Should you shave your face? Or should he, like, carve out like a fun little beard, you know? Or should I write prices right.
Starting point is 01:09:06 What do you think? What are you thinking? Like a goate or something? No, I would think if he was going to do it, it would need to be something different. Like something like his face. It already has a very different face. Yeah, I know. It's very distinguishable. It's very handsome.
Starting point is 01:09:19 That's what I've been told. Lamb chops. Is that what they call this? Yeah. Just do you. Oh, I'm doing me. Trust me. I'm going to be dressed for success and I am going to be owning that interview.
Starting point is 01:09:30 We'll talk to you tomorrow, but you'll be working from a studio in California. Yeah. And the tomorrow afternoon, his first chance to get on the prices right. And if for some reason he gets on and we're talking to him the next day, hey man, I know you're in California, but have you been thinking about going anywhere cool? Papua New Guinea. That's the code word. That's the code word.
Starting point is 01:09:45 Now, if he goes on the show and he like wins. No, if he goes on the show and he gets on the stage, right? Hey man, you go anywhere cool? Ah, Poppy New Guinea. If he goes on and gets to the showcase showdown and wins the whole thing, hey man, you've been anywhere cool? Papa New Guinea! But we can't say anything because we don't want to get him in trouble.
Starting point is 01:10:09 Everybody got that? Got it. Clear. All right, we'll get more tomorrow as he gets to California. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So there's a seven-year-old boy, Logan, and he was jumping on a trampoline with some warhead candies in his mouth.
Starting point is 01:10:27 You know, the super sour, hard candies. And he started choking on it. Well, thank goodness. His 10-year-old sister, Leah James, was there because she started to pat him on the back. Then she performed the Heimlich maneuver, and the candy was dislodged, and he was able to breathe again. They had their phone recording it. They were just jumping on the trampoline randomly. Well, I think that he was doing.
Starting point is 01:10:47 No, no, I'm watching it. Yeah. They have video of it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I think there's some Warhead challenge thing going on that maybe he was trying out, so they were filming it. If the challenges eat hard candy and jump on trampoline, bad challenge. Don't do it.
Starting point is 01:10:59 Bad challenge. Because a good challenge, you know. You want to watch it. Yeah, yeah, even if it's not safe. Good news is Logan has promised to not eat candy on the trampoline again. Oh, three. Oh, and then he spits it out. And then she's like, that's gross.
Starting point is 01:11:16 After she saved it live. Yeah, good for her to know what for you. Yeah, she's being recognized for her heroism at a future Levant City Council meeting. So it's all official. I love a council meeting. It's a social media trend that involves participants putting extremely sour bored candies into their mouth and keep them in. But you do not get to make a sour face. Okay.
Starting point is 01:11:34 So that's the warhead challenge. Yeah, there's no trampoline. I don't mind the challenge then. I don't like the trampoline part of it. Man, how does she know how to do all this? It's pretty amazing. She just starts to pound them on the back. Which is what I would do.
Starting point is 01:11:44 Yeah. And then she switches to the whole Hemelk where she. squeeze the stomach. Squeeze boom. Squeeze boom. And it pops out. And he's like, oh, man, my candy. Wait, get it.
Starting point is 01:11:55 Get it real quick. There you go. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. And the morning, you turn the radio on and the dial just keeps on turn. Fox Morgan 2. The Steve Redavit's trying to put you through.
Starting point is 01:12:17 Mike is writing this week's next bit. And Bobby's on the mic so you know what this is. And now time for the morning corny. The morning corny. What's a lawnmower's favorite type of music? What's a lawnmower's favorite type of music? Bluegrass. That was the morning corny.
Starting point is 01:12:49 Tuesday Reviews Day. I'll go first. I did watch and finish a series. I watched the series Wayward on Netflix. it's about a school the kids get sent to and what happens behind the gates of the school. And it felt like it was going to be monstery at the beginning. And Amy's like, it's not monstery.
Starting point is 01:13:08 Because they play like music. Yeah, eerie music. Yeah, it was like ominous music. Episode one at the start definitely feels like it's going to be scary. A small town cop suspects that the local school for troubled teens is dangerous. I give it three and a half out of five bullfrogs. We enjoyed it. A little weird,
Starting point is 01:13:29 but that's okay. You kind of knew it was, but no monsters. Thank God. One monster, I'm out. If one single monster would have showed up, I'm out of this. One jump scare, no, thank you. So it's not scary.
Starting point is 01:13:41 No. Just the music. In episode one, it kind of, episode two, kind of didn't even have music again. Yes. Guys, you know what? The music's not working.
Starting point is 01:13:50 Let's not do it anymore. Rotten tomatoes gave it a 78%. And that's, you know, Yeah, I thought it was good. I would watch it if there's nothing else to watch. Yeah. But you stopped watching it. I stopped watching it, but then I started again and decided I needed to finish it.
Starting point is 01:14:04 Did you? Why not? I did. And I give it two out of five brainwash communities. Wow. Why? Why so low? You want more monsters?
Starting point is 01:14:14 At the end, I was like, what in the world did what? Don't do at the end. You can't do it at the end. Okay, find the last four episodes. How many are there? I was like, you have a history of spoiling things. Mine's not even at the end. You literally said at the end.
Starting point is 01:14:30 Okay. When I got done, I don't mean like a scene at the end. I mean when I concluded my experience, I was like, what did I just watch? Oh yeah, for sure. I had a little bit that too. Okay. But yeah, that's what I give it three out of five. You give it two?
Starting point is 01:14:43 Yeah. Wayward. Two out of five. Total score, like. The average of the yes. Yeah, 2.75 or so. Yeah. that would be the average yep
Starting point is 01:14:55 did you think it wasn't for a minute I was like wait and I'm like no that's exactly right you brought it down Amy hey movie Mike you watch anything yeah I watched a movie called Roof Man with Channing Tatum is that the guy that lived in the toy store
Starting point is 01:15:07 yeah based on a true story he robbed 45 McDonald's went to prison escape prison and then lived in a Toys R Us for six months whoa it's on theaters yeah it's good it is so good it's weird to feel bad for a guy who does bad things because I think he's just good at being a criminal.
Starting point is 01:15:25 He's very observant, so he, like, pays attention to people's habits. He knew that McDonald's would empty out all the registers and, like, send it to the bank on the exact same day, the exact same time. So he just went in, cut a hole in the roof, and would rob the place. Did he ever rob it with guns holding it to people? He did. Oh, I like them less now. He was really nice to him. He would put them all in the freezer.
Starting point is 01:15:46 He compliment him. Hey, nice shoes. Get in the freezer. Was the freezer on? Yeah. He even gave a guy his coat. He's like, you don't have a coat. All right, here, take my coat.
Starting point is 01:15:54 Okay, okay. So he's kind of a good guy. He was just trying to make money for his family. He was ex-military. So he just was trying to get his life back together. I always like those stories a little more if nobody got hurt. Like a heist. You get by the highest and you get like a couple million bucks and nobody got shot.
Starting point is 01:16:10 Pretty cool. I don't love it. But I know it's kind of fun to root for. What do you give it? I give it a strong four out of five robberies. Nice. That's good from you. I just can't go to the theater.
Starting point is 01:16:22 so I'm going to wait until he comes out in 45 days. Yeah, 45 days. Eddie? It's quicker than you think. But I watched The Lost Bus with Matthew McConaughey. It's on Apple Plus. And I liked it. Movie or serious?
Starting point is 01:16:35 It's a movie. And it's, I didn't know it was a true story when I was watching it. So now that I know it's a true story, it's crazy. Like, cool. Like, the story is really good. Man, I'm telling you, watching Matthew McConaughey now, he's such a character outside of movies that it's hard to take him serious in a movie now. I'm struggling when he's driving that bus.
Starting point is 01:16:52 doesn't mean like, hey, I'm headed over there. It's got fuel up real quick. He just says like the guy he is off camera. Yes. Like the pseudo philosophical doesn't wear deodorant type of guy. But what's cool about this movie and I don't know how it all came together, Mike, but his family's in it. Like his son's in it, his mom's in it.
Starting point is 01:17:09 Which is kind of cool. It's a whole family thing. But the movie's solid. I would give it three wildfires out of five. Lunchbox? Yes, I finished this season, a big brother. And let me tell you, I am so glad it is over. It was so terrible, so much crying, not much gameplay, not very good strategist in the house.
Starting point is 01:17:28 I give it one out of five housemates. I was just ready for it to end. Don't go back and watch it if you were thinking about it. I wasn't thinking about it. Morgan? I watched K-pop Demon Hunters on Netflix. Everybody talked about this. They said it was really good.
Starting point is 01:17:41 I'm not a big anime fan, so I really didn't think that I would like it. But 10 minutes in, I was hooked. I loved this movie so much. and the music is now one of my favorite soundtracks. Like, I've now listened to the soundtrack of this movie. It was that good. What'd you give it? I give it five out of five demons.
Starting point is 01:17:58 Mike, did you watch that? Yeah. You like it? Yeah, that's good. Well, I like it. I don't even like anime. I don't think you'll like it. Okay, good, I'm out then.
Starting point is 01:18:04 Bobby Bones show. Bonehead. Story of the day! This story comes us from Florida. A 28-year-old woman was mad that her ex broke up with her, and she's like, I'm going to get him back. He won't take me back fine. I'll show him. So she used her used feminine products
Starting point is 01:18:21 Oh my Wow And she went and discarded them all over his yard She's a disgusting bonehead That's not that bad What? I thought it was gonna be worse Me too Guys this is not normal behavior
Starting point is 01:18:32 We can't normalize this No we're not normalizing it We're just saying it's not really that bad I mean it's like if the dog gets in the garbage And that happens you just pick them up It's all over the yard Yeah I thought it would be somewhere else Yeah but she's not a dog
Starting point is 01:18:43 I don't know it in his sandwich Like in his face Yeah okay Yeah yeah yeah we had the same time Yeah Yeah, we agree. We agree it's not normal. Okay, good, good, good. Because I don't, you know... But us, us mature men...
Starting point is 01:18:53 We wouldn't do that. We're not really... No, we're not really grossed out by that, are we? No, man. It's just part of life. There could be someone out there listening right now that's like, oh, I was just looking for a sign to do this, and y'all are like, ah, this isn't that bad. You know, not normal, but it could have been worse. Okay, imagine if I did that here in the studio, if I'm mad at y'all. Amy, don't.
Starting point is 01:19:09 Don't. Well, that would just be weird because you're not nuts. You know who nutty. No, you know who nutty people are. Nuddy people do nutty things. I'm guaranteeing you he always knew she was nutty, and she knew he was nutty. You know, just not that big of a deal. You know, that's a mild bonehead.
Starting point is 01:19:22 Okay. I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. All right, voicemail. Hey, Bobby. We're sitting here at Keith Urban's concert, and he didn't play John Deere, John Green, John 316. Really disappointed. My wife loves Keith Urban.
Starting point is 01:19:38 Can you please talk to him? Thank you, bye. Oh, yeah. I'll go, Keith, and be like, hey, this guy's upset. But when you have so many hits, and what a great problem to have. But if you go see Luke Bryan or Keith Urban or insert about 15 other guys, Blake Shelton, Kerry, they have so many songs, they can't play them all. And you know, I don't know that that's like my favorite Keith Urban.
Starting point is 01:19:59 It's probably top 25. Yeah. But it's not John Green, though. It's John Deere, John. What's the middle one? John Deere, John 3 something. Concoager, John Deer. John Deer.
Starting point is 01:20:11 Yeah. He has 22 career number ones. Maybe he played John Cougar, John Deere, John 316. And this guy was waiting for John Deere, John Green, John 316. And he's like, that's not the version I know. But next time I see him, just tell him, man. I'll just say like, hey, yo, add that back to the set list. You guys always leave us a message 877-Bobby.
