The Bobby Bones Show - TUES PT 2: Eddie Might Be Moving + Bobby On 23 Soviet Troops Turned To Stone By Aliens? + Tuesday Reviewsday + Bobby Reads Eddie’s Mind

Episode Date: April 22, 2025

A caller has a question about tipping when it comes to a subscription service like Amazon. Bobby explained how he ordered a new safe yesterday and debated tipping the delivery person or if it’d ...be awkward. A caller turned on Amy after a bad joke she made last week. In Tuesday Reviewsday, Lunchbox took Bobby’s homework and watched an episode of Black Mirror. Eddie wants to know if Dear Zachary is okay for his 17-year-old son to watch or if it’s too dark?  Eddie also revealed why he might have to move. Bobby talked about the declassified Cold War-era CIA files that detailed a Soviet clash with aliens who witnesses say turned soldiers to stone. Bobby then does another magic trick when he read Eddie’s mind.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Starting point is 00:02:00 But if you ever reach a point where you're... banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat, just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Yeah. Listen to thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. In 2023, Bachelor star Clayton Eckerd was accused of fathering twins. But the pregnancy, appeared to be a hoax. You doctored this particular test twice, Ms. Owens, correct?
Starting point is 00:02:39 I doctored the test once. It took an army of internet detectives to uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Gillespie and Michael Mancini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trapped. Laura, Scottsdale Police.
Starting point is 00:02:57 As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. I want to run through some voicemails here. Here's Jake in Virginia. Morning the studio. On Thursday's Part 2 podcast, you guys were discussing the tipping culture. What's your opinion on tipping when you pay a monthly or yearly subscription fee to companies
Starting point is 00:03:26 like Amazon or Walmart? I feel that since I have already paid for that's a subscription service, I don't need to tip delivery truck. But also if I have an extra $5 that day, I'll give it to. the delivery driver. Thanks for keeping me company on my mail row. That's interesting. I don't ever see them. So I think most people don't see them. I mean, I might see them drop it off, but I don't ever go, they don't ring a doorbell and hand me something. So there's never even the opportunity for me to tip if I'm ordering from Amazon. They just drive it and throw it.
Starting point is 00:03:56 It's like the old version of the newspaper kid. They just throw crap sometimes. Sometimes they ring the doorbell and leave. Just to let you know it's there, I guess. But they're gone by the time I get to the door. Yeah, I don't think there is an expectation from them to get a tip. So yes, everybody wants a tip. I don't think everybody should be tipped. I think if you can tip everybody, that'd be awesome, but nobody can. I think during the holidays, you can leave a little basket out that says, hey, Amazon guy, have a little treat. I think that's a good way to do your tip. Or in the summer water. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't think that culture is tipping with Amazon or Walmart because they don't see most people face to face so most people don't tip them. Therefore, when they don't get
Starting point is 00:04:35 tipped, they go, oh, I got screwed over. Yeah. So I would say you're good. If you do feel compelled by the Holy Spirit to tip somebody, anybody, good. That's awesome because you definitely don't have to. But yeah, on those, I don't think they're going to think otherwise when they don't get a tip because they usually don't get tips because they usually don't see people face to face. At least not in my world. They just dry by, drop it off, and let it rip. UPS sometimes. I don't even tip UPS and I see them sometimes because they have to sign for stuff, but I don't even tip them. And I love tipping. Sometimes tipping is more awkward though. Like if I were to try to tip, they ordered a new safe yesterday. Right. So. Like a gun safe or a money safe or a watch? Just a safe. Yeah. Yeah, to keep stuff. You put a little code in. There you go.
Starting point is 00:05:22 Oh, the safe. You can't get in there and you know why? You got to keep it safe. So it was heavy and he's like loading it out. And had I been like, hold on, hold on, let me give you $3. I'd have been awkward for everybody. Yeah. And they make good money. Yeah, they get 15, 31 an hour, Amazon drivers. So, Jake, I think you're good, man. I think you're good on that one. Ray, give me Deb. Morning studio. I have a morning corny for Amy.
Starting point is 00:05:45 What did Spartica say when the lion ate his wife? Nothing. He was Gladiator. That's funny. Good one. Good one. Oh, she's still going. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:06:03 But she already knew the joke yet. She just kept on laughing. Give me the next one. We have invest $150 around the dollars with them. And I just wanted to say thank you to my seat. And the lunchbox can do better. I can agree with all that. Wow.
Starting point is 00:06:44 All that. We still don't have any money from the palate. We don't have any money from our card. We haven't tried to sell them yet. Right? But so tomato tomato. No, you've actually sold stuff. You've actually made money and not given us our money.
Starting point is 00:06:55 Not tomato tomato and orange. No, because like you always say, said like it until we sell it like we don't have any of the money so it's not worth that you have the money you've sold things and you have the money right what that's all they have right yeah yeah but the pallet business we agreed was a business that once it's all sold no we didn't agree that everything had no we didn't now you're making stuff up that's how that business was there's certain businesses like they have a thing like oh we're going to open this shop and once we sell everything and then we'll you know we'll close up shop we won't even that that has nothing to do that it's that has nothing to
Starting point is 00:07:28 with this? That's going out of business. No, no, it's like, you know, it's like... I can't. Ray, give me the next voice, ma'am. Love Amy. I think she's super hot, attracted to her. She's funny. He-he-ha-ha. Dude, that corny? That was weird. That was wild. You're wild for that. Not cool. Y'all should even put that on the podcast, dude. What? Disturbing. Amy. What? You got to go back to church. That's weird.
Starting point is 00:07:50 He flipped on her hard. He's like, Amy's hot. Amy, you're gross. He'd go back to church. The cherry one. Yeah. That's a wild one. You always. a while for that one. Wait to bleep it. I looked at you like, are you serious right now? Well, I was just giving it a go. And I think you call that like, not even after dark.
Starting point is 00:08:07 It was like kind of. Yeah, because I didn't know. Y'all are confusing me. There was no confusion on that one. That was darker than anything else. Like after dark. That was the darkest. It wasn't a dark joke, but it was a dark. Like that was after. Dirty. Dark dark. That's dirty dark. Like BET uncut would come on at like one in the morning.
Starting point is 00:08:24 That was. BET uncut? Yeah. That's when they showed the videos that went hard. Like that was that So okay thank you for the voicemails You can always leave us one 877 Bobby
Starting point is 00:08:36 Now I did not expect Lunchbox to watch Black Mirror already Okay I gave him yesterday And we can do some Tuesday Reviews Day But I gave him Notty I said it's not even homework
Starting point is 00:08:47 But I said You could possibly enjoy this Or be so turned off by it But I think it's compelling And so you watched White Bear Season 2 Episode 2 and you click play, I don't know, talk me through it.
Starting point is 00:09:02 What are you thinking as you're watching it? I am so confused on what is happening. I'm like, this is so weird that I don't even understand it. Like, I'm like, is it a zombie apocalypse? Like I was trying to figure out exactly like who these people were, what was going on. So basically, though, just so you know the story, they're running. They're trying, somebody's trying to kill them. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:24 And they're running the whole time. And there's people that are just with their phones out. and it's like, why are they not helping? Like, I don't understand. Like, have they all been brainwashed? Like, is there some chip implanted in everybody's head? I don't spoil anything. I had no idea.
Starting point is 00:09:40 And as I watched the show, I'm like, oh, okay, that, okay. And then I'm like, wait, what? No, I don't have, maybe I'm not understanding, okay? It was very strange, very weird. And when I'm done watching it, I sat there and I thought Am I a sick individual For watching all these fight videos
Starting point is 00:10:02 Like I don't A different I like a lot of people watch fights I don't like to watch fights But a lot of people watch fights That they get big numbers Yeah
Starting point is 00:10:12 Like kids fighting on the street He likes that That's not comfortable Let me read the plot of this movie Though just so you understand Yeah because I didn't want to say I don't know what I'm allowed to say A young woman wakes up
Starting point is 00:10:21 I cannot remember anything about her life Everyone she encounters refuses to communicate with her and enjoys filming her discomfort on their phones. Victoria meets Jim, who explains that a signal's being transmitted that turned most of the population into dumbboyers. Jim and Victoria set out to destroy the transmitter,
Starting point is 00:10:36 but there's just more of the habits. So did you like the episode? It was very interesting. I thought it was cool. I mean, listen, guys, it came out in 2012. Yeah, 2013, yeah. Still can't talk about it. So, I mean, I think it's okay.
Starting point is 00:10:54 We can talk about it. No, you can't. that series is still new. They're still making new episodes and people just may now be getting into it. If it were done in 2012, final episode, different situation. Dang, man, because there's so much I want to talk about. Like, I want to... Can I give you another episode? Yeah. Like, my wife, she watched about 20 minutes of it. She's like, I'm not watching this. And she left the room. I give you the first episode of all of Black Mirror called the National Anthem. The National Anthem. That's one of... Season one. It's one. It's one of the one.
Starting point is 00:11:25 one, right? Yeah, one one. That changed my life. Really? Changed your life. Yeah. In what way? In a way, when I finished the show, I was like, I don't know who I am. Whoa. Whoa. Okay, so let's, can we... What? How can we expand on that black, white bear? White bear? You can't hear because we're a spoiler-free podcast. No, no. I'm saying like, that's me. Can we talk about it in general terms without ruining it?
Starting point is 00:11:51 I don't feel comfortable doing that because I don't want to spoil it because we might. So all I wanted to know was how you felt and if you'd watch another one. Would you watch another one after me recommending that one? Yeah, yeah. I thought it was an interesting show. You're going to love the National Anthem. That's the one that changed on? And I thought it was an interesting...
Starting point is 00:12:07 The first one. I got to... Oh, the very first one with the... Oh, gosh. That changed your life? Yeah, because I was like, what? I was like, what do I even like? Like, I got a question. Oh, gosh.
Starting point is 00:12:17 Did you enjoy what was happening? Like, did you think it was... I didn't figure it out until the end. No, no, I know. I understand. But I'm saying, did you like, once you figure it out, Like, are you like, wow, that is cool or wow, that is sick? Both. And wow, that's what's going to be happening.
Starting point is 00:12:33 And it kind of already is happening now. This is 10 years ago and it kind of, you know, in ways it is happening now. Yeah, there's another one called Nosedive, which is very social media like where I don't want, this is not a black mirror podcast. But if you don't mind watching the first one again, whatever time, whenever you get to it. Yeah. I just, I just really was interested in on like if you thought it was cool or if you thought it was cool or if you. thought it was sick. Both.
Starting point is 00:12:57 I think to have a mind to write that because the Charlie Brooker guy writes him on. I got a question. Does he talk about how he writes him? Does he do drugs? I don't know. I mean, I don't know how you even come. Like, your mind has to be on that stuff Amy takes. What?
Starting point is 00:13:14 I have done. Ketamy. Oh, I didn't go there when you said that. When I'm watching this, I'm like, these people are on some kind of trip and they come up with these ideas because there is no. way someone sober comes up with that. I was out there. I mean, there is a way. Someone sober comes up with it.
Starting point is 00:13:33 Yeah, you need to be effed up. Or just creative. You know, you have a screw loose, but it's the right screw to be able to create something like that. If you watch the national anthem, we'll get back to it. But I'll do that for Tuesday reviews that. I finished all of this last season. I think season seven?
Starting point is 00:13:46 Yep. Five out of five. Five out of five mees. And where do they make this? It's like another country? Yeah. he's British, I believe. A lot of it's British. Some American actors here and there.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Very famous actors are in it too. The show is so critically acclaimed that famous people want to be in the show. Which I do feel sorry for the people that are in the beginning episodes that made the show and now all the, if you say all the famous people are coming and taking their spots.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Some of the people weren't so famous, but now they are from the first episodes. Oh, all right, well then I take what I'm back. But I was shocked when I logged on and there were seven seasons. I wish I could re-experience it from the beginning I wish I had just discovered it and had seven seasons to watch
Starting point is 00:14:28 I would not leave the house to me it's that kind of thing it's not for everybody it's dark it's dark Amy do you remember the the white bear yes and I remember the one he's now assigned to you
Starting point is 00:14:42 Eddie did you watch white bear I did good luck I remember thinking like that's just that's crazy like just the whole thought of it but I never really like whoa this is so dark and twisted I was like that's really creative That's kind of how I came out. Amy, I just wouldn't say anything.
Starting point is 00:14:57 Yeah, I just, like. Okay, I'm just saying. I just wondered at the end, you're just like, oh, that's just creative. You didn't have a thought of like, oh, that's sick or that's cool. My thoughts are always, oh, this is definitely the direction we're trending. Yeah, you took it to real life. Which is crazy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:13 No, I felt the same. Like, what are you saying? You sat there and go, man, that is kind of how we are, isn't it? Like, we like to see. It's not for everybody. It's like, dear Zachary. No. Don't watch that.
Starting point is 00:15:24 Do not watch that. Oh my God. It's really great, but don't watch it. That is the worst. It's streaming on Hulu now or something. Don't. You want to watch it. Dear Zachary is a documentary.
Starting point is 00:15:33 Do not watch Dear Zachary. It's so good though. It's great. As far as you will be enthralled. Don't watch it. Do not. Do not. But it's so good.
Starting point is 00:15:43 It's good. It's good. It's good. But don't watch it. Don't watch it. Do not. Oh. How old do you have to be to watch Deer Zachary?
Starting point is 00:15:51 Oh, probably 18. You think? Yeah, you don't want a 14-year-old watching that. Why? I mean, my 17-year-old wants to watch it. I think he can watch it. We just watched Schindler's List, and he was like, that's so cool. And I think that if you watch Schindler's List, you can kind of watch anything.
Starting point is 00:16:06 What was so cool? I'd give you context on Schindler's List. Just the story of like, because he said... Like the history? Yeah, he said... Not what happened was cool. No, I don't know. The movie was cool.
Starting point is 00:16:16 He said that he learned about World War II when he was in fifth grade and had no idea that this was what it was about. I've never seen Schindler's list. It's so good, man. It's such a good movie that even I watched it maybe when I was in high school or I don't know when it came out. But I remember watching it and being like, wow, that's a heavy movie. But now that I'm older and I watch it again, I was like, this is a really, really like just a good depiction of what really happened. And the story of Schindler is just pretty amazing. And the fact that this is all true.
Starting point is 00:16:49 It's just a remarkable story. Okay. agree and it being black and white does keep it current oddly enough when they boil it down to be black and white it almost doesn't go out of style because it never was in style it was never super uh but dear zachary is a whole different story that's a documentary dude i remember when i watched dear jr zackery for the first time you guys told me about it i cried in the shower for like an hour I never cried like that after watching a movie that's that stuff's it's bad
Starting point is 00:17:25 it's a great documentary do not watch it I think your son can watch it if he wants to watch it I think he's old enough to watch it what should I tell him before watching it nothing just watch it you should say oh this is so bad dude it's hard to watch this is well does he want to watch it he saw it up there and he's like have you seen that I'm like
Starting point is 00:17:45 oh I've seen it I would say hey if you want to watch it it you can watch it. It's a documentary. It's pretty dark. But I'm not going to say anything else about it. But I think you will I don't even want to say like it. But I think Yeah, it's a weird word. Yeah, but I think you'll find it interesting. Like if you start to get bored, hang in there. Because I think you'll find it
Starting point is 00:18:08 interesting. Because he's at the age now where he's asking me like, Dad, are there any movies that I should watch that I just don't know of? And I mean, I thought of Deer Zachary. Does he have emotions? Or is he very? No, he has lots of emotions. Oh, boy. Yeah, that's tough. Are you guys going to have to move? Possibly.
Starting point is 00:18:27 I'm not even joking, dude. Possibly. We have this invasive species of bugs in our house. But that's not moved, right? They can clear those out. No, no, no. The bug guy came and he's like, look, unfortunately, I'd hate to tell you this. But once these bugs show up, there's no getting rid of them.
Starting point is 00:18:44 And they go into fabrics. So if they're on your couch, your bed, whatever, you might as well. burn the bed. It sounds like... What? You're going to burn your house down? Steroided up bed bugs. They're called river bugs. And it all came from a rock, a couple of rocks that my son brought from the river.
Starting point is 00:19:02 Oh, he brought the rock. Oh, no. But on a rock, you can see bugs. Yeah, but apparently there were like lots of bugs on the bottom of that rock and he didn't know. So once we put him in our backyard, they kind of seeped in through our back door and we're finding them all over our house now.
Starting point is 00:19:18 And they think it's so bad that maybe you'll have to leave the house as they fumigate? No, no, no, no. My bug guy, so my bug guy, his dad was a bug guy, his grandfather was a bug guy, and his great-grandfather was a bug guy. So he's come from a long line of bug guys, and he says, these bugs, you'll never, ever get rid of them. If that was passed down from his great-grandpa, though, I think now we have ways to get rid of bugs. He's like the forest gump of bug guys. So how are you going to sell your house if you have these bugs everywhere?
Starting point is 00:19:49 Oh, you just don't tell anyone, right? You don't tell them I got bugs That's up for the that's up to the inspector to find out There's no way there's a bug that they cannot get rid of Now I could see you having to leave And them having to put a tent over your house And fumigate that way But there's no way there is an invincible bug
Starting point is 00:20:06 River bug That's what you call it And when I say no way Like I literally don't know Yeah But I'm saying I have not heard of a bug That makes you move out of your house That will never leave
Starting point is 00:20:17 It's a squatter He said the problem is they get into carpet or fabric and they just reproduce in there and it's just you can't do anything about it. It's like a squatter but the courts don't exist is what you're saying. Yeah, that's it. So they never have to leave. So I might have to leave.
Starting point is 00:20:33 My wife really say we can't get them out in a year we're going to have to sell this house. I feel like they're priming you for a big bill. You think so? The bug people? Yeah. Yeah. Well, it's all. Well, there is one thing we can do but it's going to be pricey. I feel like they're just kind of getting you ready
Starting point is 00:20:48 to squeeze you for some money. It ain't going to be. Hey, man, I told you, because if they go, yeah, you may have to move out. But all of a sudden they come back with, you know, I've been doing some research on this. We do have a way we can get them out if you're interested in not having to move. And it's like, wow, really? Anything's cheaper than moving again. Yeah, heck, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:02 It's going to be a little pricey, but it's going to be less price to having moved. And it is kind of the worst case scenario to say you've got to move. Like, you're probably going to have to move. I cannot see that there's a bug that will make you leave your house. It lives there now. It's their house. We're out. The bugs in.
Starting point is 00:21:17 Did I tell you what my bug guy did the other day, though? No, but you are into this bug guy. I mean, he's a good dude. We've had him for years. Go ahead. But I was watching the Masters. And the bug guy came in. He rang the doorbell.
Starting point is 00:21:27 I'm like, yeah, come on in, dude. He's like, I'm going to spray the inside of the house. No problem. And he walks by me watching the Master's. Oh, the Masters. Like, yeah, love the Masters. He watched like five minutes with me. Like just stood right there.
Starting point is 00:21:38 Ooh, good shot. Let's go. Man, that Rory, man, he's a good player. You know, that put right there is got 48%. And, dude, next thing you know, like 10 minutes later, he's still watching the Masters with me. Okay. You need to use some of that friendship to your advantage. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:51 Make sure he doesn't squeeze you on that price. You want to come over? Watch some golf with me. Yeah, because if he moved, you won't be your bug guy anymore. You live in a different part town. I need to know what kind of riverbugs. Because I looked up riverbugs and there's like 100 riverbugs. I didn't know specifics.
Starting point is 00:22:03 Yeah, he just, it's like a miniature black beetle. Ew. And yeah, that's what my wife said. And he said. Do you see them in the house? Yeah, they kind of look like little like a seed, you know, like a black seed. And you can see them all over the floor. Have you tried using essential?
Starting point is 00:22:17 I'm using essential oils, like peppermint and eucalyptus in a spray bottle? Have you made your house spotless? Yeah, we've cleaned it. We've cleaned it. Water bugs in a house, there's different. Because they've got like three versions. There's the Oriental Cockroach. I don't think that's what this is.
Starting point is 00:22:36 It came all the way from the Orient? They're typically found near bodies of water or in damp areas. They're not typically considered pests, but it can be a nuisance. Oriental cockroaches are drawn to moisture. I don't think this is what that is. Oh, man. There's a standard. Oh, that's kind of what it looks like,
Starting point is 00:22:51 like a black beetle. There's no reason you can't get rid of those from your house. Okay, so here, okay, here's something called riffle beetles or whirl gig beetles. These are aquatic beetles that are known for their presence in swift flowing streams and ponds. They're small oval body with long legs. While whirlig beetles are known for their whirling behavior on the water's surface, they're a good indicator of healthy water quality and are found with areas of rocky bottoms and fast-flowing waters. They are distinctive for their circular movement
Starting point is 00:23:20 It doesn't say anything about you have to move though If they come in your house Oh also it says here Get a nice indoor cat To eat the bugs I don't know I mean that what did you call it The riffle beetle
Starting point is 00:23:31 That kind of looks like it too Riffel be Yeah I think they're all gonna kind of look like it Unless you get in there It's like a black bug Find out some more information on this Oh I will Make sure you don't take advantage of man
Starting point is 00:23:40 Oh oh I don't want to look at the Riffle beetle What in the world That was pretty dramatic for a Google image search Because I don't, I can look at a lot of things Certain bugs I just do not like looking at And I did not like what I just saw How about the El Mide? That's it, that's the one I'm looking at.
Starting point is 00:23:57 The Elmadee. Commonly note, I guess that's the Riffle Beetle too It's a family of Beatles In the super family Byro Daya I mean it kind of looks like that too They're going to look like all of them It's funny, it's going to look like every one of them
Starting point is 00:24:12 I would move See, that's what my wife is saying I just looked at that. She said we're moving, not even trying to kill him. No, no, we tried to kill him. We've been doing this for a week. Come on. You see commercial parade.
Starting point is 00:24:23 No, I just saw. A week. We've been giving them a week and we're going to move. So what are you going to do? Just get rid all your furniture? Well, I mean. They'll hatch eggs where you can't even see and then they just multiply. That's it.
Starting point is 00:24:32 That's what the bug guy said. We got to get a bug person on. I got them. I'll line them up. You know a bug guy? Yeah. Where'd you meet him? Oh, they do my house every month, man.
Starting point is 00:24:42 All-American pest control. Your syphilist support group? No, all American Best Control. They talk all bugs. That's all I do. Oh, yeah. I hear lunchbox as commercials. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:50 Oh, bug guy? Yeah. Can you get a picture of them? Of what? Lunchbox? No, your bug. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll get a picture.
Starting point is 00:24:58 We have a picture of them. Then we'll send it over to Lunchbox's bug guy. Okay. Yeah. All right. Let's take a break. We'll come back. A win is a win.

Starting point is 00:27:07 And in this new season of the girlfriends, oh my God, this is the same man. a group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. They said, oh, hell no.

My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and the Big Money Players Network.
Starting point is 00:27:56 It's Will Ferrell. Woo, woo, woo, woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place they come look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry. about you, which is really sweet.
Starting point is 00:28:19 He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat, just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that.
Starting point is 00:28:45 There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. In 2023, former bachelor star Clayton Eckerd found himself at the center of a paternity scandal. The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in someone's, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case.
Starting point is 00:29:18 I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfectant. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Gregalespian and Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trap.
Starting point is 00:29:37 Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Americopa County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges. This isn't over until justice is served in Arizona. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. No? Too many buttons.
Starting point is 00:30:07 Premature? You're good now. Go. Hey, get your bones on. Bobby bones. All right. I've been waiting for this one. According to newly declassified CIA files, which means
Starting point is 00:30:20 the literal CIA wrote about it classified it so no one would read it and it's been so long they've now been declassified right so again these were legitimate
Starting point is 00:30:34 literal CIA files everybody with me this is not conspiracy theory making sure according to newly declassified CIA files aliens have the power to turn human beings into stone
Starting point is 00:30:47 the files tell the story of a 250-page KGB report, which the CIA got their hands on after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. The report contained photos, drawings, and multiple testimonials from eyewitnesses of the event which happened during training exercises in Ukraine. Apparently at one point, Soviet missiles were fired at an alien spacecraft, causing it to crash onto the ground. Then five humanoid aliens exited the UFO. merged into a single object that acquired a spherical shape, grew much bigger,
Starting point is 00:31:23 and then exploded and the 23 soldiers there to witness it turned into stone poles. Reportedly only two soldiers who were not in the area of where it was shot survived and told the story. It's from Brob Bible.
Starting point is 00:31:40 Thoughts. One to ten, ten being true. Oh my gosh. And nine being for sure true. Is it a nine or a ten? What? It gave me two options.
Starting point is 00:31:52 Exactly. A nine or a ten. Declassified CIA. One. It's a one. Everything is crazy until it's not. How many times we've been through this? JFK, there's no way.
Starting point is 00:32:03 It's a single shooter. People get shot. People don't turn into stone. But it's not about somebody getting shot. It's about the conspiracy of was it the CIA involved? Was it? Oh, you guys are crazy. Right. But that conspiracy is possible. People don't just turn into stone.
Starting point is 00:32:18 Exactly. They don't until they do. You're right. What makes them declassify something? Is it because they're like, guys, this is so stupid. We need to just do it. Oh, that's an interesting theory. There's no need to have this hidden anymore.
Starting point is 00:32:32 We can just put this out there. Because Bobby, you're reading that, you don't even believe that. You do not believe that is real. I think he kind of does. One through nine. What is it? Nine or ten. On a one to ten scale, nine being this, ten being this is a nine or ten.
Starting point is 00:32:47 Yeah, what do you got? it looks it looks something happened oh my gosh so my thought is often that it's never exactly as it seemed to the people that saw it because we see things all the time and what we see if we were to talk about it again something crazy traumatic big explosion it would not actually be anything other than what we experienced our version of it so do i think something happened that it affected and killed these people yes could it have been something something nuclear? Could it have been something? I don't know. But do I think something happened? Absolutely. Do I think it happened exactly as is? Probably not because nothing as dramatically large
Starting point is 00:33:35 happens as is the people who saw it. It's hard to really have eyewitness account of that. Now they can have multiples. Let me ask you a question, Amy. The Netflix series on the UFOs were all those people that didn't know each other that lived. That lived around the same town, had never met, had the same exact story. Yeah. They had never met. What was that? Unsolved Mysteries?
Starting point is 00:33:54 Yeah. They lived like 100 miles from each other. Totally crazy. Not just two, like six. That is wild. I am not doubting that. I am doubting people turning into stone. But if you're going to say that one can happen, then you can't say the other can't.
Starting point is 00:34:08 You literally can't. I feel like I can say that maybe there's life from another planet that makes it here, but it doesn't mean we turn into stone and. Okay. I'd like to challenge what you're saying there. If you're saying that life, I don't even think it's from another planet. I think it's interdimensional. If life from some other dimension comes here, but they don't have the capabilities
Starting point is 00:34:28 to freeze organic beings, that would be the easiest thing they could do. That would be easier than actually getting here. Okay. I don't think there are things coming from space, if there are. I think it's from other dimensions. I'll boil down what I mean by other dimensions and how things can exist at the same time. it's just imagine on Netflix you're watching this show right you just click a show and you're watching there are like 700 shows it could be that that are all there yeah but you're you've chosen
Starting point is 00:34:58 the the frequency to watch this one that's playing or like all your channels right you can be on channel four but channel 11's still going it's happening at the exact same time you're just not on it and seeing it you're not within it that's happening in a different spectrum so our life right now is one channel on another channel's happening I don't have the answers. I'm just saying... No, but what to what you're saying? I'm saying that's how I have to have it explained to me. And for us to say there's no chance, I mean, that would be the most ignorant statement you can make. I'm not saying that it's absolutely true because I do not know, but for me to say there's no chance about the unknown, that's the most ignorant thing a human could say. Because
Starting point is 00:35:38 if that had been said for the history of time, we would have, there'd be no progression with science, with medicine, an airplane. Think about that to a caveman. Think about an airplane to a caveman. Think about a PlayStation to a Viking and a television. That's, there's no way. Humans on a box, but that's us to that. Whatever that is. If you drop to television with a PlayStation 5 on the Mayflower,
Starting point is 00:36:06 that's the devil. That's an alien. They would love it eventually, though. Oh, for sure. They get 2K. They'd realize Dame can shoot from anywhere. Yeah, you're crazy. That's my only point.
Starting point is 00:36:18 I do not know. But I do know that I do not know. But for anybody that knows, they do not know. So maybe we just haven't figured out how to cross the channels. No, we absolutely haven't. But we didn't know how to fly across the ocean for thousands of years. We didn't know there was land over there with other people on it. What if there's classified information of us crossing the channels?
Starting point is 00:36:39 Like maybe some people have been there and it's classified. There are that. There are those versions of little dinklings. Have you listened to the podcast about the tapes where they have the autistic kids that can communicate through walls and communicate with other autistic kids? No.
Starting point is 00:36:54 That's interesting. Wild. But you would go, there's no chance. That can't happen because we've not been taught how that happens. I know, but you don't think what some stuff that's happening with my cousin is real. No, no, no. I never said it wasn't real.
Starting point is 00:37:06 I said, for me to believe a human like me has those powers, it's tough for me to believe. But for me to believe there are things not like me that can do things that I can't do for sure. I would totally be up for that. Yeah. But I also can't prove that she isn't.
Starting point is 00:37:19 Right. Well, she talks a lot, what made me think of her, she talks a lot about the different dimensions. Like, I think that y'all agree on a lot of stuff. Or like, y'all would have a really interesting conversation if y'all really got into the nitty-gritty. I know sometimes we have her on and we're just more like asking her, like, silly questions. Like, who's leaving the show?
Starting point is 00:37:37 Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. Who's going to die first? but she has so much more to her that's happening on the different levels and it's actually she talks about how it's really tiring. Like she gets really tired. So do I. It wears her hell. I can't prove.
Starting point is 00:37:55 How much she can like energy that she's getting from so many different people at one given moment. I can't prove that she is or isn't. I can't really prove anything. So it would be weird for me to go. But she's had alien encounters is what I'm saying too. And I go, well, that's pretty wild. But she's open to it.
Starting point is 00:38:09 She's open to it. And she says you have to be open to it. And then her mom was with her one time when it happened. And her mom isn't like her. Doesn't have the gifts or whatever she has. But before her mom died, which her mom was my mom's best friend. She was telling me, she's like, Amy, I witnessed it. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:38:23 I know. I don't know how to explain it. But she's like, I think fully was supportive of her daughter's gifts. And I think originally she didn't know what to do with them. But she witnessed so many things that were accurate. She's like, oh, well, I guess this is real. She saw the aliens or interacted with the aliens? And they didn't turn her to stone?
Starting point is 00:38:42 They didn't. Good. But I don't know. Maybe they could. Like Bobby's saying, he made a good point of like, I guess you don't know what they're capable of. I guess it could happen. It would be quite ignorant of me to say it's not possible. Because the people 50 years ago that were here in the same exact spot as us, the things that they knew were very limited based on what we know now.
Starting point is 00:39:02 It would just be ignorant to go. It for sure can't happen. I do believe there are people, though. They're taking advantage. Like, I hung out with aliens. I got sex with an alien. Oh, yeah. She doesn't say that.
Starting point is 00:39:11 Oh, she should try. I heard of... No, she definitely not. But she does that. I mean, whenever you're talking, I'm like, oh, I've heard a man to talk like this. So. But it's not my theory, right? I just am reading and going, oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:39:30 Or I don't even think it's space. It easily could be water. We know less about the oceans than we do the areas right above us. I did see a. a fish at the pet store is like one of those exotic pet stores. And it was a fish where you can actually see its brain. And they say, yeah, this is like, they're very rare. But we can't have it interact with the fish because it'll hurt them.
Starting point is 00:39:52 You ever see an octopus? How smart they are. Yeah. Yeah, the teacher's. My octopus teacher, that was a bad. That was crazy. Well, I thought he was going to have sex to the octopus, guys. I'll be honest with you.
Starting point is 00:40:01 When they started playing like to love music, when the guy's out there every day, like hanging out with octopus, I'm like, he's about to do it. And I wouldn't even get to hate him for it. Loves, you know. What? It's not for me. It wasn't going to be for me. I'm not with an animal.
Starting point is 00:40:12 You know, had he decided? Yeah. So that's the CIA story. Amy's been building up some fun facts she's got for Friday about CIA as well. I can't wait. I have one fun fact about the CIA. Yeah, it's for Fun Fact Friday. Yeah, you said I've been building up.
Starting point is 00:40:27 And so now I'm like, wait, do I need more? Yeah, you've been teasing. Oh, building up, like teasing it. I think you meant collecting several facts. Phew. Because I was like, I got one. But it's good. See, there it is.
Starting point is 00:40:39 She's back to building. You want more Pope stuff? You guys interested or no? Because I'm into it. Did you know you don't have to be a Cardinal to be the Pope? How do you skip the line? You can be the Pope. That's what I was saying.
Starting point is 00:40:49 I don't want to be the Pope. But you want somebody to be the Pope that doesn't want to be the Pope. You know what I'm saying? I do not. But surely you have to be Catholic. You know? But you're saying there's a chance. It's not, hey, it's not for me.
Starting point is 00:41:04 But. But, if you show up to put your name in the hat with ask me about my syphilis on, I don't think you're going to get it. Several popes throughout history were not cardinals before being elected. The most recent example, Pope Urban the 11th, elected in 1378. Oh my gosh. He's the last pope that wasn't a cardinal, so there is precedent. Yeah, from a long, long time ago. He was the Archbishop of Bari. Since then, the church has almost exclusively chosen popes from the College of Cardinals, even though technically, yeah. So there's that. I saw two monks jaywalking.
Starting point is 00:41:42 Whoa. Where were you? What's the deal? I just thought of that. I don't know. You were in town? In Charleston. Two monks.
Starting point is 00:41:53 I thought you were in Thailand. No, they were sitting on the sidewalk hanging out. And then all of a sudden they just got up and they were going to cross the street. And there was a crosswalk to the left and to the right. But they didn't go to those. They just walked right across the street. And I was like, breaking the law. But maybe they didn't know.
Starting point is 00:42:10 There is a cardinal. Maybe jaywalking is not illegal anymore. I don't know. Or it's just, if you have diplomatic community. I'm a monk. What are you going to do? arrest me? There is one American that's in the running to be Pope.
Starting point is 00:42:25 Oh, let's go. And I'm not kidding. This is not a joke. He is from St. Louis. Okay. The Lou. The St. Louis Cardinal. Stop.
Starting point is 00:42:33 I'm not kidding. The mascot? The mascot is there? St. Louis Cardinal. How old is he? I don't know, probably like 68, something. If I'm guessing, 68, 70, they're all around that. I mean, that would be legit.
Starting point is 00:42:44 One of the St. Louis Cardinals is the Pope? Yeah. His name's Ozzie Smith. He was a player, Amy doesn't get that. Yeah. I was about to Google him. Okay, I want to show you, though. Is there really, so now you're just saying there's really a cardinal from St. Louis,
Starting point is 00:43:02 not an actual person on the baseball team. Yes, from what I was reading yesterday. there is a pope from St. A cardinal from St. Louis that is going to go over. My wife did text me a minute ago. She was like, let's go to Rome and watch for the white smoke. You could be there forever, though.
Starting point is 00:43:18 She literally text me. That's what I said. She said, I want to be enroved for the conclave so badly. I said, man, it will be packed. But that would be awesome to see the white smoke. Thing goes on for weeks, though. Yeah. Is that him, Mike?
Starting point is 00:43:31 Or is there a different buddy? Oh, there's a Pope of Wisconsin ties. I urge his successor. They'd never allow a American Pope. Was there a ranger for? from Texas? A Ranger? Or a Yankee from New York?
Starting point is 00:43:43 Okay. Now, head of the Rangers, yes. There we go. Okay, watch. I'm going to show you a trick. I thought your truck nuts. Eddie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:58 I don't know if I've done this with you yet or not. What? Okay, I'm going to write this down first. This another dimension. Hold on. Another dimension. Are we crossing dimensions? We are.
Starting point is 00:44:21 Okay. Eddie. Yep. Ooh, money. See, this $5 bill? It's been sitting on my desk for how long? I don't know. Since I paid it to you.
Starting point is 00:44:36 Like, two weeks ago? March Maddenance. This was not put on here. That was not put on my desk for any reason whatsoever, right? This was not for this bit. Ready? With me? It's been there for a while.
Starting point is 00:44:47 Okay. What do you see on it? Money. Okay. That's a real. Yeah, it's a $5 bill. Okay. I want you to think of any currency.
Starting point is 00:45:00 It doesn't matter. Don't say it out loud. Write it down. Think of any currency whatsoever. It can be that. Any kind of like... It can be that. Could it be international?
Starting point is 00:45:09 I don't care what it is. Here we go. It can be that $5 bill I just held up. You can put $5 bill. But doesn't matter. Okay. Good? I got something, yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:22 Okay. This change has been up here as well. How much is this in total? What is that? A quarter and a nickel? Yep. That is 30 cents. Okay, cool.
Starting point is 00:45:38 Write down an amount of change. It doesn't matter what the number is. Just an amount if I had a change. Okay. Pick a last name of any president. What, Amy? I'm just trying to follow. There's nothing to follow.
Starting point is 00:46:00 Except I have already led Eddie to the answer he's writing down. He just doesn't know it yet. Oh, it's this thing again? I've already led Eddie to the answers he's writing down. He just doesn't know it yet. Okay. You say president? The last name of any president.
Starting point is 00:46:20 All right. Morgan, do you see his answer? So there's nothing fishy over here? Yeah, I mean, I can't really read them, but yeah. Do you have three answers written down? So these three? Yeah. Yeah, he does.
Starting point is 00:46:31 Okay. What is the currency I have written down? I have Morgan read it. Penny. Okay. What do I have on the sheet of paper? Penny. How'd you do that?
Starting point is 00:46:45 Oh, is it because Lincoln? What? He just told me to write a currency, so I picked a currency. Yeah, but Lincoln's on the five, and he's also on the penny. Is that your mind tricks? Eddie. I didn't think about that. Pick a number.
Starting point is 00:47:00 That number was going to be any amount of change. 17. Matt, I don't know how you did, because he was the 16th president. So stupid. How'd you do that? What's the number on my favorite? 17. That's annoying.
Starting point is 00:47:16 Why are you, how do you do this? This is disturbing. But it's not psychic. There's no power that I have. I don't think that you have a power. But this is how do you do it then? This is how people trick other people and they like bilk them out of money. Yeah, this is.
Starting point is 00:47:28 Eddie, I asked you to pick a name of a president. I know it was not Washington or Lincoln. You would not do Washington or Lincoln because those were too easy. That's what's so funny about that is, look, what are right there? He did, he wrote Washington and then crossed it out. Probably because it was so easy. What did you write? Johnson.
Starting point is 00:47:47 What did it have? Move your finger. What does that say, Amy? Not in the world. Yes, it does. It says Johnson! Yeah, this is crazy. How do you do that?
Starting point is 00:47:56 Tell us now. No, I'm not going to tell you. Tell us. You know her cousin? No, but I'm just letting you know at... I do believe that I don't know everything, but there are also tricks that people can make you believe they know... Yeah, but you went three for three on that.
Starting point is 00:48:10 That's like more than tricks. That's... It's simply a trick. You went to another dimension. No. Tricks are manipulation. Yeah, okay, fair. Yeah, fair.
Starting point is 00:48:19 He manipulated me? Yeah, three for three. You're so weak. God, I guess I am. You're like, jump off the cliff. We got it. Yeah. What in the world?
Starting point is 00:48:32 That creeps me out every time. But it shouldn't be creepy because there is no power. Well, not a creep. I know. But, like, just not creepy because of a power or a superpower or anything weird like that. Creepy that we can get in people's minds like that and make them. He didn't get into my mind. Yes, he did.
Starting point is 00:48:53 But think about what they're doing to us as a society using the same manipulation tactics. Exactly. Where am I being led right now? He controlled you, Eddie. This is why I don't want to watch the news. Could it be like you make up? Maybe he starts crying? I don't.
Starting point is 00:49:05 I stumbled upon the news yesterday. How do you stumble upon the news? She was looking for something. She's like, I want something wholesome. Something wholesome. Something wholesome. I went and I was watching the news and I was like, this is terrible. This is so terrible.
Starting point is 00:49:21 And what is happening in our, I don't even know. I don't even know. I don't want to know. I just want to live in my little bubble. What happens to me is when the game ends and the news comes on, I get stuck watching it too. That's how I kind of fall into it. I'm like, what is this? And if you don't think they're using manipulation tactics and techniques on us, not the news, just generally.
Starting point is 00:49:38 But they are. They are to get us to do certain things. I was reading about a study where they had, for the sake of this version of a paraphrase, nine CIA agents and one person that wasn't, and they put them in a room and said, okay, what is this shape? And they held up a triangle. And the nine CIA agents said circle, all knowing it was a triangle. And the one that wasn't was like, I must have seen a wrong circle. Oh, you start doubting.
Starting point is 00:50:09 So how did you do this? I would not tell you. You should tell me. You wait until we open that envelope. But here's the thing about the envelope, is that I'm going to let one person read the envelope. That's not me. Thank you. That's not Mike, right?
Starting point is 00:50:22 Because you read that? Yeah, I know what it is. Okay. Yeah. But I put something in an envelope. End of the year last year? Yeah, but you also said it was trash now. It is trash.
Starting point is 00:50:36 It's garbage supreme. Since you controlled my mind, I didn't control your mind. I should let me know what's in the envelope. I'm going to do three stories and we're going to. to call it. A man buys a... I know the stories. Oh, here we go. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:50:50 Take it from here. A man. buys a... Buy's a... Car. You're just repeating after me. Yeah, what kind? Lamborghini. A Ferrari.
Starting point is 00:51:00 No! We both said rainbow, though. Because we talked about earlier about the Pope. But you're right. What you just did is what gets done to you without realizing it. We literally talked about Lamborghinis this morning. That's right where your minds went. because you said expensive car,
Starting point is 00:51:15 and without knowing it, you traveled back to Lamborghini. Amy, we're so weak. No, you're not weak. That's just what happened. That naturally happened. A guy buys a dream Ferrari. He saved up for 10 years.
Starting point is 00:51:25 In an hour, gone, burnt, burnt, burnt up. What did he do? Like, wreck it? It caught on fire. He was, yeah. That's terrible. That's terrible, man. He went on, bought the Ferrari.
Starting point is 00:51:37 It caught fire. He was driving it on the expressway. And he thought it was coming from a car next to him, the smell. but it wasn't. The smoke was coming out of the Ferrari. He called the fire department and the car was $306,000, completely burnt up from Audity Central. That's number one. Number two, a Michigan man escapes quicksand with no injuries.
Starting point is 00:51:58 I feel like I'd be good at getting out of quicksand because I would go, I'm sinking and I take a step out. I don't think that's how it works, man. No, I think it gets you pretty quick. I don't think so. It's called quicksand. I've seen it on television. It's not a slow sand. A Michigan man who became stuck up to his waist in quicksand on a left.
Starting point is 00:52:14 Lake Michigan Beach emerged without injuries and with a girlfriend. Traverse City, Michigan residents Mitchell O'Brien and Brianna Seeka said they were searching for something called Leland Blue Stones when he took a wrong step about five feet past the shoreline and sank in the sand. He told the Detroit News that his first thought was, oh, not this again. Oh, happened before. Does this guy just falling quicksaint? That's his thing. It isn't the first time I've dealt with something like this. He was able to escape his previous predicament by flopping down. down on his butt, but this one was worse. Though we both
Starting point is 00:52:48 get through it at the same time, he said, and they had to call 911, they had to come and pull him out of the quicksand. That's not even a real thing. He's waist deep, though, right? Yeah. UPI. That's like a sinkhole. Yeah. If you go that quick, that's like a sink, like you stepped on like a sinkhole on the beach. And then one more. A ticket mistake earns a Michigan man on $1 million lottery prize, which is kind of lunchbox's wet dream.
Starting point is 00:53:10 Yeah, I wish I could make a mistake for a million dollars, but nope. All I do is make a mistake. mistaken don't win. A Michigan man said a store's cashier a mistake turned out to be. What? It made no sense. No, no, it made sense. I picked the wrong numbers and they don't win.
Starting point is 00:53:23 But that's not a mistake if you pick the numbers that you want. But I'm saying it's a mistake because they're not the winners. I need them to be like, hey, I want this and give me the wrong. Give me a different number and like make me the winner, but they don't do it. A Michigan man said a stores, cashier's mistake turned out to be lucky when the scratch-off ticket he didn't ask for and was given turned out to be the $1 million winner. lunchbox has that ever happened to you? No.
Starting point is 00:53:46 Where like you asked for numbers and they give you the wrong ticket? No. Oh, well. They're not that nice to me. The lottery gods, just not yet. There's time, though. Life sucks, huh? Does suck.
Starting point is 00:53:57 Life does suck. It's rough, man. Been working against you, huh? For a long time. I wish the tide would turn at some point. I would argue with you, but I'm looking at you. And right now it does tie. It does look bad.
Starting point is 00:54:08 I don't know how you can argue with me. Ask me about syphilis hat. Ask me about syphilis hoodie. and a large scrotum hanging around his neck. Yeah, it's got a weird one. Yeah, big one, yeah. Elephantitis is a stodom. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:22 That's our one of us. Is it heavy, lunchbox? No, the chain is a little too small. Mike made the chain really tight around my neck. Like a choker? Yeah, pretty much. All right, we're done. Amy, you have a new episode of anything today?
Starting point is 00:54:36 I do. Let's say, today's the Tuesday Feeling Things episode about the desire to be wanted and leaning into fear. It's just looking for a show about that. It's a fun one. Starting point is 00:55:21 He's controlling you. For when? I'm not setting up for anything. I'm just asking you to pick number one through 10. You pick one. I like it. It's a good number. I picked one,
Starting point is 00:55:28 but when are you going to use that on me? It's a great number. Nothing. I just wonder where your mind was. You said picking number one through 10 and I just go one. Yeah, I like it. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:55:35 But is that good or bad? It's great. One? Love it. One is. We are number one. That you love. All right, we're out.
