Starting point is 00:02:57 Bobby Bones I just have weird hotel keys in my wallet from all the places that like will stay when we travel and then I just I don't get rid of those I know I am right now I just put on my wallet and then they just accumulate I have
Starting point is 00:03:19 a lot I guess my Vegas card Marriott card is this hotel card and then I have my tractor supply have a gift card if you guys haven't been a tractor supply because you could have been like me when I first would see a tractor supply. I literally thought they sold tractors.
Starting point is 00:03:37 And I think that's probably what a lot of people... They do. They sell so much more. Yeah, but you don't go in there and a lot of tractors there. Right. What you do, there's like yard stuff and grills. Bird seed. And there's, for me, it was the dog stuff that got me there initially.
Starting point is 00:03:50 Because they're like, oh, they have dog food, but then they have a whole vet situation there. Yeah. So I only say that because I have a tractor supply card in there. But it is legit, and I don't think people, know how legit it is because if you're a dumb dumb like me and you're like, well, I don't need a tractor. But they do have mowers. So they have mowers. But anyway, we get our dog food there now. So there's that. Let's see. Let's start with the big three songs in country music. And number three, Miranda and El King drunk and I don't want to go home.
Starting point is 00:04:22 It's a really good song. It'll probably be at number one. I remember when El King was first in Nashville, and they were like, she's not a country artist. They were so, adamant about her not being a country artist. And I think now she's going to put out a country project. Good. And I don't know if it's good or not. I think she was playing the banjo on it. But they were just like, she's not a country artist. And so maybe they found some success here. Now they're going to shift her. I don't know. She's a country artist.
Starting point is 00:04:50 Yeah, maybe so. That song's really good. Cody Johnson, Till You Can't. And number two. And at number one, Sam Hunt, 23. Number one pop song is from Doja Cat. This is woman. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a good one. The jam.
Starting point is 00:05:27 Number one, alternative song, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Summer. Speaking of Chili Peppers, so Caitlin was like, hey, let's play a game. We play a game where she has a Guns and Roses T-shirt, and she says, I don't even know they are. So find four pictures, and let me see if I can guess which one's Guns and Roses.
Starting point is 00:05:49 Morgan, do you want to play that game? Sure. Can you come over here? Like four different bands? Yes. Love it. And so, this is, it's not for any content, but it's just a game we play. So I took four different bands and said which one's gun and roses.
Starting point is 00:06:03 All right, come on up here. Can I show a camera? Yeah. So, Morgan, this is going to be your first picture here. Wait, show the can't hold on this. I don't know if you can zoom in enough for me to show. Mostly. Maybe not.
Starting point is 00:06:15 So this is this one. Number one. Okay. Those are men, by the way. Yeah, those are me. Number three. Do you know who Guns and Roses is? Mm-mm.
Starting point is 00:06:25 Okay, that's number three. This is number four. What? So which one would you say is not for sure guns and roses? I'll let you eliminate one. I feel like the fourth one that's too new. You think this is too new? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:38 Okay. I got a visual on it. Leave your phone right there, Bones. How do you see my phone? That's scary. I can do it. Which camera is it? Right behind you.
Starting point is 00:06:46 Oh. Can you see that, Eddie? Yeah. Okay. Morgan says that's not Guns and Roses. And she is correct. That is the red hot chili peppers. That's correct. That's what reminded me of this game. Okay Ready for the next okay. So now you thanks for right there is This band this band I feel like it's not that one blonde hair doesn't feel like
Starting point is 00:07:08 Rock and roll okay Eddie can you see this yeah do you know who that is? I don't know I'll take a guess good white snake poison ah Good job Morgan, you're correct. We have two left it's either this band here of this motley crew or this band here of this motley crew by the way neither are the band motley crew so
Starting point is 00:07:30 guns and roses is it this one or this one lunchbox can you see the screen and you may know this but if you do check out but it's this one they're around both of these bands around the same age
Starting point is 00:07:45 and around the same time so there's not a big generational difference I gotta guess I'm leaning towards that one, but if there more guns and roses, there's five members in that one and four in the other. That will factor none in. If that's your thing, don't let that affect you. Okay, then I think it's that one.
Starting point is 00:08:05 You do not think it's this one. No, I don't know why that feels even older than guns and roses. Eddie, they're around the same. I'd say the same time frame. Their music's slightly different, but, yeah. I do know that other band? Yes, I do. I have no idea.
Starting point is 00:08:18 That's the one I would go. Who's this one? lunch walks. Crete. Yeah, you're way off. You're way off. This is actually Metallica. Oh.
Starting point is 00:08:30 And this is Guns and Roses. You got it wrong, Morgan. I would have never picked that one. So that's the game. That's fun. We play at home. Where she's like, hey, let's play the game. So I'll find four,
Starting point is 00:08:40 but the other pictures, Eddie, can you see my phone? No, I just moved it. Oh, okay. I was going to show you what else I have in my phone, like just swiping. Let's try it again. Keep your phone where it was. Okay, hold on.
Starting point is 00:08:52 So let me know, you can see it. Yep. You got it? Nope. Okay, so. Okay. We'll play go through Bobby's phone.
Starting point is 00:09:00 Got it. I wasn't ready for this. So, but there are also no pictures of my wiener. So here we go. We're about to find out. This is. That's the Packers? My Madden League, 2121.
Starting point is 00:09:10 This is, oh, that looks so real. First and 10, yeah. I think I ended up winning this game. Spencer Rattler is my quarterback. I'm in like 2026 season right now. So that's that's that. this is the beginning of that game when I was playing defense.
Starting point is 00:09:26 Why are you taking screenshots of this or just pictures of it? Just to remember? I think, so I stream on Twitch when I play. And if I don't, I take pictures of me playing defense so the guys in the league don't accuse me of not playing defense. Got it. Because one of the guys in our league cheats and does it.
Starting point is 00:09:42 It's a trust issue. Yeah. This is basketball and I was trying to figure out how to play our league last night. Sign in. This is our basketball for the birthday. I play basketball for the birthday that's the crew there. So there's just a lot of those pictures.
Starting point is 00:09:56 All right. We're done. Done with the phone? That's it. Who knew we had a visual show too here? That's cool. Watch it on Facebook. A Missouri man wins $77,77,
Starting point is 00:10:07 after accidentally buying the wrong scratch-off. Why all the sevens? Didn't even, well, I'm sure it's a lucky seven type. I didn't even want that scratch-off. And so the unidentified player accidentally selected the hot sevens ticket. Hot seven. He meant to purchase a different scratch-off game. He wasn't paying attention.
Starting point is 00:10:25 He got the ticket. He's like, you know what? I'll just take it. 7-77-7-7-7-7. That's fate, right? I mean, that's fate when he's like, I don't want... Or is it luck. You can't really prove either way.
Starting point is 00:10:37 I know. So it is what we believe it to be in that situation. I say fate. I say luck. Okay. Moving on. Speaking of seven, a seven-foot snake is found under the cushion of a guy's couch in California.
Starting point is 00:10:47 Seven... It's seven feet. Why are you rubbing my back? Two lunchbox stories in a row. I know. I was acting like I was a snake. Again, it's seven feet long. Huge.
Starting point is 00:10:55 Big one. California reptile expert called to remove a snake found in a residence couch. He said he was shocked to discover. The serpent was seven feet long. It's a Vietnamese blue beauty rat snake. On the couch? Yeah. It had killed him.
Starting point is 00:11:08 Lift up the sofa cushion. I found the seven foot snake, which is not native to America. It was a once-in-a-lifetime snake rescued, non-venomous. It was not eager to be rescued. Oh, that's a big one, boy. Is that where you go get your guns start shooting? No. What do you do?
Starting point is 00:11:23 This is what you do. Choke it? Not with your hand. Knife it. No. Stop. You don't choke it. You don't knife it.
Starting point is 00:11:31 What do you do? You have two options. One, you run away from it and you ask somebody to come do it. Or two, if you have to get it, what you try to do is if you can find something to keep the head of the snake down, like hold the head of the tree down, whatever. Because it can't bite you or attack you if the head of the snake is down. Which is why when you see handlers, they have a stick, they actually pick up the head near the head. because if there's only this much room, six inches from... It can't get you.
Starting point is 00:11:56 Right. So it's really just about keeping the head from biting or, we'll say, lunging. Sure. So you try to make sure the head is held down. The rest of it can't hurt you. Yeah, yeah, but the way I picture it is I'm going for the head. It moves and I miss it and now I'm laying there vulnerable and he just attacks me. That could happen.
Starting point is 00:12:17 Well, that's the way I picture. But if you can hold the head down. Or you can, if you're going to kill a snake, you don't try to chop it off in the middle. Chop the head off. Right. And what's crazy, well, I don't know. What? It's crazy about that is they keep moving for like another 30 minutes.
Starting point is 00:12:33 Well, that chicken. I've never done that to a chicken. Well, you ever hear the expression running like a chicken with your head cut off? Yeah. That's where that comes from. Oh, because after that happens, they keep running. Grand die long legs. Wow.
Starting point is 00:12:46 Kill me. I mean, even the human body, the nerves continue to work for a while without the brain. But a snake for a long time. Like, I've left it there for 30 minutes and come back and it's still moving. I mean, we were always snake in the woods. So we don't ever come back and see them. We try to let them live their own life. Now I run from them.
Starting point is 00:13:05 Do you ever run into a rattlesnake? What was the most, the scariest snake you ever ran into? Oh, the easy scariest is a water moccasin. Because they're angry. They don't need to be hungry or threaten to attack to bite. Really? They just, eh. They wake up in a bad mood.
Starting point is 00:13:22 and they will come at you. They're mad at something. And you will see them coming at you. In the water. Yeah. So they're the meanest. I would compare them to possums in that... Possums aren't mean, though.
Starting point is 00:13:33 No, but when they are, you know it, and they can be. A water mocks in for the most part is going to leave you alone, but just every once a while. Yeah. But they're mean. I never had a rattlesnake like hit a boot, like a bottom of a boot. I've had other snakes like pop. What we say, did you get your boot pot by a snake? Did you ever seen like red and yellow kill a fellow?
Starting point is 00:13:51 No. I've seen one of those. I've seen it at the zoo. But again, you're talking... Coral snake. Black snakes. Black snakes, water moccasins. Not a lot of rattlesnakes that were there.
Starting point is 00:14:02 So snakes everywhere, but none that were really going to harm you. Green snakes, none that wanted to harm you. But animals don't want to harm you unless they're scared. Or if they're big and hungry and they think they can eat you. Like hippos. Well, that's quite... Sure. The big, hungry hippo.
Starting point is 00:14:18 A woman who wrote How to Murder Your Husband is on trial for murder. Her husband. Wow. An author? Was it a fiction book? Allegedly. I was going to say it's... I mean, originally, was she just fictional...
Starting point is 00:14:33 Funny, you ask. But you would think if you wrote how to murder your husband or how to rob a bank, you would purposefully just not do it. Yeah, like never. Have somebody else do it if you needed it done? Because you're the...
Starting point is 00:14:43 But how ironic if you wrote that book and your spouse ends up murdered? Yesterday, a woman in Oregon went on trial for allegedly murdering her husband four years ago. In 2011, wrote the long essay How to Murder Your Husband.
Starting point is 00:14:54 But the judge said that cannot be brought up in court. Why? That's huge. I'd be flying that over the plane. Those old banners. If you're, I mean,
Starting point is 00:15:05 crazy irony, if she didn't do it. Maybe when she was writing her essay, she just learned so much about it. She's also 71. Really? Yeah, yesterday, a 71-year-old woman in Oregon
Starting point is 00:15:15 went on trial for murdering her husband, allegedly, and she wrote that back in the day. She also wrote a romance novel called The Wrong Husband, but the judge The wrong husband What's the next one?
Starting point is 00:15:26 On trial for murdering my husband We can't use it in court But the judge ruled Those facts can't be under evidence So the jury won't know It's foreshadowing right there They say how she did it The defense claims
Starting point is 00:15:37 The gun stuff Was her researching material for a book And everything else is circumstantial What if someone wanted to murder him And they were like Oh sweet, perfect His wife wrote this book I can frame her
Starting point is 00:15:48 You know It's always a possibility in education news a Texas high school with less than 1,200 students total is building a $35 million football stadium Nice Welcome to Texas, baby
Starting point is 00:16:05 Well, two things are happening here One, it's Texas, and they do spend a lot of money on sports, especially football And two, I'm sure this is a school with a bunch of rich people in it What is it, Westlake? Melissa Texas is what? Melissa? Dallas near Dallas.
Starting point is 00:16:20 45 minutes from Dallas? Melissa, Texas, this has been an hour from the middle of Dallas. They have a population of 18,000, but they are building this massive, massive football stadium. Let's see. The Cardinals just moved up to 5A, D2 level. Oh, that's important. And they're expected to continue to rise as the town grows. They've announced it's building a new state of the yard football facility.
Starting point is 00:16:43 $35 million. Wow. That's crazy. The total enrollment is 1,145 students in all four grades. That was nice. Oh, it is nice. Pretty cool. It's from Bro Bible.
Starting point is 00:16:56 Okay. Let me see what else. Spoilers. We try not to do them on this show and if we do do them, we say way early, like, we're about to do it. Should we do it? What counts as a TV spoiler? Because in the conversation we had yesterday it was, I want to tell you a part of a show that doesn't make or break the show, but I don't want you get...
Starting point is 00:17:16 And you guys like, now we feel like we can know that. Because it's history. Because I told you that, right? I was like, hey. Um, so a poll asked people what they considered a TV spoiler, and it ranged from the big ones like not want to know if a character dies. That's big. And in the show Game of Thrones, there are a lot of characters that randomly die that you don't expect. And that's a big show you don't want to spoil.
Starting point is 00:17:39 And there are some, you know, crazy stuff that happens early that I don't want to reference now. But if you were to have told me that, I'd have been so mad because it's such a big part, such an integral part of that experience of watching that show. Two, some people don't even want to know if the show is good or not. Oh, really? They say that's a point. They don't want to have any expectations. And I'm not on that page, but when Eddie is like, you won't believe the twist, that's a spoiler. Every show has a twist.
Starting point is 00:18:03 No, it doesn't. Every show doesn't have a twist. No, modern family doesn't have a chorus. Not every song has a chorus either. Boy named Sue does not have a chorus. But also, you don't like... Hey, hold on. A boy named suit is not... Amy, what do you say?
Starting point is 00:18:14 I mean, Eddie, his exact words were you'll never... Guess who did it. Yeah. Like, it's like, what? Oh, what's a murder mystery? Like, yes. That's part of it. But the whole point is I want to think I'm going to get it.
Starting point is 00:18:29 And if I'm thinking I got it, I know. Well, I didn't get it. Well, you know it's not that obvious. Queen Bohemian Rhapsody doesn't have a chorus. That's one part of the song. Hold on. I'm thinking. I'm thinking.
Starting point is 00:18:42 Is this the real life? Is this just? Okay. Not every song has a chorus. Most songs have a chorus. 99% of them Maybe stairway to heaven doesn't have a chorus Maybe
Starting point is 00:18:55 And she's Yeah Oh yes it does Go What is it? Sing the chorus Dang I don't even know what he just did
Starting point is 00:19:06 The song moves around And tempo And you know it starts There's a lady who knows Oh and she's by That is the chorus It's not the chorus It's not
Starting point is 00:19:15 After we'll ask Robert Plant Okay cool Spoilers I'm a big I'll say this about Twitter Even though it's a really bad Ugly place sometimes
Starting point is 00:19:26 They have a pretty good culture Not spoiling shows on Twitter People don't spoil shows But yeah I'm a big spoiler What Down this scale If we put it left to right And the far left is a character dying
Starting point is 00:19:40 And the far right is good or bad Where do you kind of fall I don't want to hear anything I'm okay if it's good or bad I actually want to know that But not more not a whole lot more coming from there. Yeah, but you don't like knowing if someone says,
Starting point is 00:19:50 this was amazing, because then you build up. But that's still not a spoiler. That's not a spoiler. I know it's not a spoiler, but you still don't like it. Hype is different than spoil. Okay. Okay, thank you for clarifying. You don't like overly hyped things
Starting point is 00:20:03 because then you said you go into it with these expectations, and then it's like, eh. Yes. Okay. I don't really want to know what happens in an episode unless someone asks me specifically, do you want to know what happens? Are you sure like I did with you guys yesterday?
Starting point is 00:20:16 Which, speaking of, I followed up on that show and watched it. And now I have to, I just remembered I want to Google something unless you can just tell me right now. Which one? Winning time? Maybe I can't, but go ahead. Is it a spoiler that you're going to ask? Because you are. I don't know, is it? Oh, here we are.
Starting point is 00:20:30 That's not a game now on a play. What show? Winning time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Are you caught up? Okay. No, not yet. So someone really.
Starting point is 00:20:40 Be vague. Okay. Hmm. So. And then if I can answer it, I'll set it up and answer it. So someone really fell off their bicycle? Oh, yeah. I don't know what happens, though.
Starting point is 00:20:53 Because I was going to Google it. You can't talk about that. Should I Google it or wait until the next episode? You're going to Google it. Am I going to be sick? Don't talk about it anymore. Could be a spoiler. For sure, a spoiler.
Starting point is 00:21:04 And if she just brought that up and didn't know it was a spoiler, I questioned her judgment and spoiling. Amy, I don't know what you're talking about. Of course you questioned my judgment and spoiling. I mean, yeah, you're a spoiler. I've spoiled all kinds of things. Yeah. I don't mean to.
Starting point is 00:21:16 By the way, how's your tastebloods after the sour cream? I feel I've not felt right since then. Honestly, something just feels like I have a layer. Like, I like sour cream in general, but sour cream you eat with other things. Spoonfuls of sour cream leaves like a film in your mouth. And I either need to brush my teeth or eat like a meal to get rid of this. I can't finish my coffee. So I'm feeling a little tired, tiny crinky.
Starting point is 00:21:44 and I feel like I just keep wanting to burp. Okay. But that's, you asked how I felt. I know, it's disgusting. Yes, and thank you for sharing that. I feel disgusting. But I don't want to follow up, I guess is my point.
Starting point is 00:21:56 Okay, moving on. Because it was a rough, rough segment for you. Thank you for sharing that. Appreciate that. I'm welcome. If you Googled that, because it was history, you can read all about it, but it may affect the next episode,
Starting point is 00:22:09 but I wouldn't say anything else about it. I might, okay. Yeah. I'm not going to say nothing. Well, that means you're going to say something that's double negative. Amy, stop. I don't know anything.
Starting point is 00:22:19 Stop it. I don't know. Once she ruined the Avengers. Oh, I wanted to... Stop, why do you have to bring this up? Like the last one? No, it was like the first one. First or the second one.
Starting point is 00:22:28 I was so excited about it. Oh my gosh. Stop. I love Supergirl movies. Okay, I'm going. I do. It's Avengers. I'm so excited about it.
Starting point is 00:22:33 She came in and spoiled the whole thing. All right in front of me. Yeah, she did. The whole thing. I didn't spoil the whole thing. What did you say, Amy? I don't even remember quite honestly. The ending?
Starting point is 00:22:40 I didn't. I don't even remember in the end. I don't even want to talk about it because I'm a spoil it for anybody else. Okay. Okay. Hey, what if somebody dies like right at the beginning of the show?
Starting point is 00:22:49 You can say that, right? Like, that's how it starts with a death of someone. Because if it's a shock, if it's a shock, death five minutes in, you don't want to spoil that. No, no, no. Like, so when people are making movie trailers, they have to add big things in the movie.
Starting point is 00:23:00 If it's in a trailer, you can talk about it. Well, okay. That's a general rule, right, Mike? If it's in a trailer, that's a role we use. If it's in a trailer, it is able to be discussed. Okay. But if it's 10 minutes into a first episode of a show
Starting point is 00:23:11 and somebody surprises you and dies, that's supposed to set the tone for how you feel about the whole show. Okay. Noted. Insultly become smarter by doing this. You can apparently run, and your brain fires off, and you're able to think better while running, and come up with solutions to problems.
Starting point is 00:23:30 Oh, wow. A new study from the University of Arizona found that MRI scans of the brains of runners show greater connectivity when compared to the brains of non-runners, and especially when running. So maybe whomever loses easy trivia, they have to go run around and get all the questions asked again? Oh, no. Let's see if they do better.
Starting point is 00:23:52 That's funny. They'll probably know them. I mean, they'll know those specific questions. I feel pretty good about where we are. Let's finish on this, Amy. And this is one of the stories that Amy tells us that one of her friends told her. Oh, one of these.
Starting point is 00:24:07 So I take it with a grand of salt because it did happen to Amy or did it really happen to a friend? I think she mixes them up sometimes. But this one is, and I don't think this happened to her this time because of the people involved in it. So someone's talking about their ex-girlfriend.
Starting point is 00:24:20 I guess this wasn't me. This one... It was a first date. Okay, this one I understand is probably not you, but go ahead. Okay, first date, out to dinner, and he says, like, in the middle of their conversation, oh, yeah, my ex-girlfriend had an amazing boss.
Starting point is 00:24:35 She didn't go out with him after that. And she just was like, she said she just kind of like sunk down in her chair and didn't even know. First of all, why are we talking about your ex-girlfriend? And now I feel like I am caught like I don't even know this girl and I'm comparing my body to her. She just didn't feel like it was a healthy situation and that he didn't have the, the awareness to not say that showed her a lot. And I just thought, yeah, what? Why would you ever say that? Why would you ever say that?
Starting point is 00:25:03 But what were they talking about? He just randomly blurted out. They must be talking about exes. I don't care if they were. No, they weren't talking about ex. But still, you never say, my girl, an amazing body. Right. My ex-girlfriend had an amazing body.
Starting point is 00:25:15 What if he said? My ex-girlfriend had an amazing personality. You don't, I don't think you hit the word amazing. I don't think you even, I don't even think you even need to talk about. Do you know what they were talking about? I don't. In that situation, you stay aware from the word amazing. Because what if she said, hey, your ex-girlfriend, what was her body like?
Starting point is 00:25:33 She didn't. My girlfriend. She didn't. I know that. In that exact situation that you are making up, that did not happen. She doesn't know what they were talking about. But I know that much. Let me handle that one.
Starting point is 00:25:43 Ask me. Hey, Bones. Tell me about your ex-girlfriend. How was her body? Man, it's been so long. What? Y'all just broke up. Do ex-boyfriend.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Okay. Hey, Bones, your ex-boyfriend. Tell me about his body. Well, I mean, he worked out, but that's all he did and it was so annoying. They spent all the time in the gym. the body, though. Amazing. It's fine, but it just was never there. Yeah, it was cranky. As good as it was, you know, for, it just
Starting point is 00:26:09 I was resentful because it was always gone. Good answer. So never say, even if they're leading you into that. Amazing is just not the word to use in that situation. But what if they did have an amazing body? You want to lie to her? But it doesn't even need to be said. But what's going to happen is that. It's too early in the relationship.
Starting point is 00:26:26 Why are you talking about an ex so positively? It is going to throw up a little flag. No, it's, hey, I don't have any animosity. Like, hey. You don't say amazing. Even with no animosity, it's not amazing. But do you feel, okay, so it's first date, but do you even feel like it's cool to say that, like, even three months in?
Starting point is 00:26:41 What have you say, oh, my ex-girlfriend, she had an amazing body. Terrible personality, but amazing body. No, no, I don't want you to be like, everything but a face. No, but a little more acceptable if you're going to do that, but no. But no, I don't think amazing is,
Starting point is 00:26:56 Morgan, if your boyfriend came to you and said, yeah, you know, we didn't get along, but she had an amazing, the word amazing, amazing body. Yes, I would be comparing myself the whole time. Amazing is just not the word to use in the situation. You'd be like she was fit, or he was fit. Just take out the word amazing. Amazing is a bad word to use in that situation.
Starting point is 00:27:15 What about nice? She had a nice body. He's fighting for it. I'm just saying, like, we don't know the context of the conversation. Yeah, we don't think. I don't think the tone of the word not. I mean, if you're like, yeah, no, no, no, not that tone. Not Homer Simpson nice.
Starting point is 00:27:35 But it's like, yeah, she had a nice body, but it was just all the time. And I'm going to use he, so no one thinks I'm talking about anybody in my past. I'd be like, yeah, I mean, he had a nice body, but it's all he cared about. And it was so annoying. So yes, there are ways to say the word nice. Maybe you say, you know, bodies are relative. That's why I wouldn't do that either. I didn't get out of conversation.
Starting point is 00:28:00 I want to talk about. What? Looks are relative. Looks are relative. People are attracted to different things. That's very true. Obviously, we're attracted to, because that's why he's dating her. Well, I'm just saying if you're put in a corner.
Starting point is 00:28:11 We didn't do the chicken nugget challenge on the air. We did the bit last year. We were going to try to beat the bit last year. But then people were like, why you're stupid? And I was like, all right. Shut up. So we didn't do it again.
Starting point is 00:28:23 Why are you stupid? Let's see. Yeah. Eddie asks, is this weird or normal? he thinks about how to get rid of a body. Yeah. I mean, it's crossed my mind. An amazing body?
Starting point is 00:28:35 No. A barrel. I do a barrel. Yeah. Acid. Acid and a barrel. But I was talking about it the other day and everyone's like, and a couple people were like, oh my gosh, that's psychotic that you think about. No, everyone's thought about this, right?
Starting point is 00:28:49 Yeah, M2 is the one that says she had never thought about it. I don't think about hiding a body. I think about getting rid of a body. No, even that. I don't think about getting rid of the body. I think about who I could call to do it for you. sure that my hands were clean of it. Who would you call?
Starting point is 00:29:02 Same thing. I'm not saying that. Oh. But you've thought about this. Hey, there are people I could call. Oh. There he is. They stay quiet, huh?
Starting point is 00:29:14 He won't say anything. But that is something where if S went down. Yeah. And I needed somebody to do. Somebody to go on vacation. Y'all, we just. I got it wouldn't be Mike. I wouldn't have Mike kill somebody.
Starting point is 00:29:27 Oh, okay. I'd have Mike like. It would be if someone accidentally. died and you needed to get rid of their body. Why would you need to get rid of? Accidentally, I would call the cops immediately. I didn't do it. I didn't do it.
Starting point is 00:29:36 Exactly. That's how people in shows get in trouble. I don't know. I say fishing boat. Like deep sea fishing boat. It's tough to just getting it all out there. I mean. You could have to get to the ocean,
Starting point is 00:29:46 no, no, find a boat that's, you know, all the way that's going to go out every day. It's nothing suspicious. They drop them in the middle of the ocean and let the sharks take it. But how do you do that? How do you get it to the boat? You're going to drive in your car for eight hours? Lacey Peterson's husband did? Yes.
Starting point is 00:29:59 But, yeah. One deep sea. If this is ever used back in a court, like Eddie, this is Eddie saying it. He was fishing right nearby. It wasn't like it was. But then they found. But I'm saying you got to get the body there. Somebody has taken it out on a boat and throw it over for you.
Starting point is 00:30:12 Yeah. Probably pay someone to do that. So somebody has to know. Well, he did it, Scott. You can't really trust. That's the problem, right? Is the how many people are you going to tell in this process? And who do you see at the boat dock?
Starting point is 00:30:22 Right. And there are cameras everywhere. Yeah. No, because I'm not thinking about how to do it. It's just what happens. Like, it just crosses my mind. Morgan was the one that's like, oh my gosh, I've never thought about that. I guess I don't think about it unless I'm watching a show,
Starting point is 00:30:35 but mostly it's not even about dead bodies. It's about if I need somebody to take care of some stuff, who do I call? And I got a couple of those. Wait, what? What? People that you would call or people that you would like to? No, people I call.
Starting point is 00:30:51 Let's just make a deal right now that none of us will... Murder? I think most people make that deal before. Snap or kill anybody. I think everybody makes that deal before they went to murder. I don't think anybody goes into the day I'm a murder today. But are there stories of...
Starting point is 00:31:03 We can't agree not to snap. Snapping is when you don't know you're going to snap. Is there any stories in mystery? Of like a show where somebody's ended up dead? Like a morning show. People have died like a heart attack or something.
Starting point is 00:31:18 But like are you trying to say the co-host murder of the co-host? Why are you looking at me? What are you talking about? You took this to a whole other level. Like you worried about the wording. Why are you sweating now? I'm not.
Starting point is 00:31:27 I'm just wondering if there's ever. If there's ever been a situation at work where someone has disappeared. Yeah, there's people at work that have killed each other. Like that's become a higher profile type thing, I don't remember one. Okay. I tell you what, they didn't get that CMA. What? You don't get a CMA when your partner dies at murder.
Starting point is 00:31:47 Wait, what? That's kept showing the right track, trying to get that CMA. So you need to clean your business up. I don't even understand what's going on. You rarely do. Okay. We are out of here. Don't take that personally lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:32:00 He kills me today. Don't snap. That's what made him snap. Oh, was that a shot at me? Yeah. It doesn't get it. It's fine. Everybody, thank you for listening.
Starting point is 00:32:09 And Amy, do you have four things, like a middle episode on today? I have a fifth thing up today. Yes, four things with Amy Brown is where you can find it. And then I'm also recording something fun today with an author, Shauna Nequist, who's my sister's favorite author. And I'm, like, surprising my sister with it. That'll be my this Thursday's episode. Like, she's a really popular author. Wait, you just said it.
Starting point is 00:32:31 She's not going to hear this? My sister's not listening to the Poe Show. When does her show come on HGTV? Sunday. This week? This Sunday night. Crazy, huh? That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:32:38 9-8 Central HGTV. The show is called Building Roots, and it's my sister and her husband. Wow. It's exciting. Much about you jealous? Her sister gets this show? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:48 They weren't even trying. They didn't even try. I almost read the P word, but I'm very upset. What's the P word? Oh, we should, I'll have to hear of your sister? No, no, no, no. We don't need an interview. Oh, will we not book her an interviewer about her show coming?
Starting point is 00:32:57 No. Guys. She literally has a show. I understand. But let her make it on her own. She's going to make it on her own. Yeah, I bet it to make it on my own. I didn't have anybody.
Starting point is 00:33:08 Let's book Amy's sister. Friday morning conversation. Ever coming and perform? She doesn't live here. No, it would be on the phone. I'm just messing. But if it's a real show on HDTV, which it is, we have people on to have their own shows. And it's also Amy's sister.
Starting point is 00:33:22 Yeah, it'd be great for a Friday show or a Monday. Yeah, yeah. Well, Friday, because that permits. years on Sunday. She gets like, she's, you know, she's come on the show years ago to do stuff with me before. She, like, breaks out and hives. Like, this is not my sister's personality. So she's very, like, doesn't it annoy you, Bobby, a little bit? No. He helped him. I don't think there's only a limited amount of success. And if somebody else gets it, I can't have it. And Bobby doesn't renovate houses. So, yeah. Amy, does it annoy you a little bit? Not at the, not at all. Like, I am so
Starting point is 00:33:50 excited for them. Like I am like their biggest cheerleader. I can't. I'm just, I'm just so proud of her. He helped them in the beginning. In the beginning, I walked through some stuff like, watch out for this. They were so green. They didn't know anything about it. They were approached on Instagram by a producer saying, hey, we were looking to do a show in Colorado. Y'all fit our vibe. Would you ever be interested? And they thought, okay, this is going to go nowhere. That was like 2018. And now here we are. Why did you ask if I would be upset, though? Well, because, you have worked so hard and you're making it on TV now.
Starting point is 00:34:24 They just put up on an Instagram account and they're on TV. It's like, come on a man. Well, they didn't just put up on an Instagram. Like, this has been your dream for your whole life and you're now on TV after years of working towards it and they had, they just are handed this. On a silver platter.
Starting point is 00:34:40 They weren't hard. They were so good at what they did. Someone thought I would like to feature what you excel at on a television show. So no. And I, again, I'll say it. I don't believe. believe that there is a limited amount of success for people to have. And the fact that we get jealous at other people for having success is more of us being upset with ourselves than upset that other people have success.
Starting point is 00:35:00 Because there is not a finite. That's not, well, this is how much success there is to go around. There isn't. It's like money. You can go make all the money you want in any way. You got to sacrifice and you've got to strategically pick the right things. And when you do wrong, figure out how to bounce back. But there's not just so much money to go around.
Starting point is 00:35:19 you can go make however much money you want or need. Yeah. And so no, my jealousy doesn't come from someone else being successful. There are times where I'm like, dang, I wish I had that specific job because that's a great job. But not at somebody for just being successful. Okay. And bones, you'd be a great dad. Right there.
Starting point is 00:35:42 That's what it's like talking to kids right there. You're talking to your son. But he listened. The lunchbox is. Yeah. No, they listen. but they really don't listen. So tomorrow is at one year and another.
Starting point is 00:35:52 You know he's going to complain about something next week. I'm still like, I don't know, man. But everybody on the show, like we could take up. Like you're happy from Bobby. Like, I get it. Yeah. Not really. I mean, fine, but I mean, I'd rather it be me.
Starting point is 00:36:04 You know what I'm saying? But then if you'd rather it be you, why not put the effort? Man, I did. I used to go to those open casting calls for real world. It's never worked out, man. You have to evolve. But that was one thing and it was forever again. Right.
Starting point is 00:36:17 And I haven't got on Survivor yet. Taking acting classes. Yes. So we're proud of you for that. And if you were to book a movie or book an acting role or book something, so you're already laughing. Stop laughing. You might.
Starting point is 00:36:27 What I'm saying is, because it's funny to me that, because when I'm saying it, I'm like, he would never feel this way for us. But like, we would be so happy for you. We'd go to your premiere. It'd be awesome. Yeah. It'd be truly awesome. I'd be limited tickets.
Starting point is 00:36:39 Okay. We won't support you then. Why make up a hypothetical that is just negative? No, man. In my vision, you can't get in. Wait, that's it. I don't know. I'm just saying, I mean, I see them getting on TV and I'm just like, man, that burns the, burns me.
Starting point is 00:36:56 But you don't have something that you are so good at or that's so interesting that people want to invest their own money in because they think highlighting it could actually be a success and they can make money back for it. It's like an athlete. They may make $10 million, but if they're not bringing in $13 or $14 per the 10, they're not like, we're paying this. But it's absolutely worth it to pay somebody $40 million if they're making you back $6.00. 65 million. I get that. So what is that thing lunchbox needs?
Starting point is 00:37:23 I have to... Ambition. Because I think he actually could be someone who does bigger things, but he says he wants to do bigger things, but when it comes to actually
Starting point is 00:37:32 doing it, and doing it comes with a lot of rejection. Probably 300 to 1. You know how many times? No, no, no, no. Oh, trust me. How many years to happen?
Starting point is 00:37:39 How many shows? Everything. All. Even radio. All the time. But nobody sees the rejections. So nobody cares. The only people
Starting point is 00:37:47 see the rejections are us. you get rejected, we're like, oh, man, I'm so embarrassed. Nobody cares. Because they're all worried about their own crap. Eddie doesn't look at me and be like, wow, you failed again. Eddie's like, worried about his own life and his own failures. The fact that nobody cares should give you the freedom of running and just try and try and try and who cares. And at times it is so deflating that you're like, oh, that happens to me. I'm like, man, I like, oh for my last nine. So I'm going to take a little, a little two or three week break. I'm not even going to think about it. I'm going to be reinvigorated and start again. And that's okay, but I think,
Starting point is 00:38:17 I think what he's probably lacking isn't talent. Definitely not talent. Isn't anything? Looks? No? No, fine. You got the looks. I know.
Starting point is 00:38:28 Is it just ambition? I got ambition, man. But what, Eddie? Well, do you, though? Yeah. How are you getting these things that Bobby's talking about? How are you going to get these? Man, I don't, I mean, I don't have those things.
Starting point is 00:38:42 There we go. Well, I mean, you got to understand that Bobby's, has people that help him too. I never had a single person that helped me until they saw they can make money by helping me. Right. Now he has people. Until I'm saying. But don't you remember years of Bobby going to L.A.? Or if we went to L.A. for something else, like, radio-wise, like he would book TV or go sit in the waiting room at TV places and I would be like, who's he meeting? Just beg with people. What is he even doing? I would pay to fly. I would just pay my own way, fly over through seven, eight meetings and fly back. And so out tons. But then when I
Starting point is 00:39:17 started to have success, people were like, oh, you can make me... So when I reached a point where people said, hey, we could together make us both money, then they... It's like a producer seeing Amy's sister. Like, oh, wow, they're doing something interesting. We can do this together, and I can make money off them, and then they can make money. But I had to get to a point with no help to get a tiny bit of help and then build from that way. But tiny, I pay all these people.
Starting point is 00:39:41 Yeah. So it's not like anyone is just helping. Like, I have to pay them to do it. I get it. Morgan number one. For example, she left this because I moved her over to work on the book and the touring and all of that. But if I wasn't selling tickets, nobody would be trying to help me sell tickets. Well, congrats to your sister, Amy.
Starting point is 00:40:01 Oh. You can tell her yourself, I guess. Yeah, you'll have her on the show. Yeah, lunch. Yeah, let's book her up in the next couple days. We'll put her on Friday's show. I think that'll be good, scuba. Yeah, I'm down.
Starting point is 00:40:11 We'll let lunchbox ask one question only. I get to ask a question. Be nice, though. Yeah. Christy knows him well enough to let Yes Okay All right
Starting point is 00:40:20 I've been to her house She knows how he is right That's what I'm asking Like even if he's like he is She's gonna be cool right Yeah she's cool All right I mean
Starting point is 00:40:29 Yeah all right I mean What's the question you'd ask right now If you're on the phone Do you feel guilty That you just got lucked into a show Nice And you can ask that if you'd like
Starting point is 00:40:40 Yeah You know what she's gonna say It is weird And I don't think We probably thought We'd ever do this Or deserve this But, I mean, that's probably what her answer would be no.
Starting point is 00:40:48 But the last year they have worked incredibly hard. And she said, actually, it's one of the hardest things they've ever done. And they've even, lunchbox, too, the crazy part that you don't see in some of these shows is the investment that goes into it even on their end. Like, it's not, especially because it's the first season, you have no idea where it's going. And they've invested a lot of time and money into this themselves to see where it could possibly go. What's your other question again is? I'm going to ask you, are you worried about the reality curse jinx? for married couples.
Starting point is 00:41:18 Oh, wow. Interesting. Interesting. She probably, yes. Because that happens a lot, right? That's a good question. Yeah. That's a good question. You got to get the names ready, like Mark Musa.
Starting point is 00:41:28 Hulk Hogan and... Hogan, Ozzy Osbourne, Osbourn, Jessica Simpson, Travis Barker. No, no, no, but who are the home improvement people? She just got remarried. Tarique and... But Chip and Joanna are doing fine. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:42 For now. I mean, I'm just saying every couple that goes on reality TV. Not every. Not every. Jay Cutler, Kristen Cavalari, I mean, gone. All of them. Some of these were posibly doomed before the cameras came. Maybe if people are pursuing this, if both really want to do it, their personalities
Starting point is 00:42:02 way more about that. Oh, John and Kate Plus 8. In a way, he found a question that could somehow make them feel like crap about what they're doing. I think it's a pretty good question I think it's a pretty good question Guys it's a legit Like you guys got to think about But if you're trying to scare them
Starting point is 00:42:20 I would think if the show isn't just about their relationship It's not Yeah it's not The house living Tariq and whatever her name They weren't it wasn't about the house Are most of the house people that are doing it together broken up I would think not I only know those too
Starting point is 00:42:34 Because I tell you who's still together Property Brothers They will always be together They're brothers All right we're done I said I was doing one more thing and we kept on for 20 minutes. All right. We'll see you guys tomorrow. Goodbye, everybody.
