It's time for the Bobby Bones Post Show.
Here's your host, Bobby Bones.
I have a lot of stuff to tell you about.
I need to make notes so don't forget this stuff.
Okay, so we'll start with...
I got a message on Instagram from Kane, Kane Brown.
And we text a little bit, or we'll send Instagram messages a little bit.
And so there's a video of...
I think the I Heart Country posted of all the performers at I Heart Country.
Festival and myself who was hosting
and we're all standing there taking a big group picture
and I get this message from Kane Brown that goes
how come you're like me all these
people always dressed up in their show gear
and I look like I'm always ready to hoop
and so I was just wearing pants
and a button up short sleeve shirt
wasn't super sometimes I wear a full suit
and I was like this I ain't doing that but I still felt like
I look pretty good I was like
so I thought I took down a little
little bit of the formal and we're in Austin it's 100 degrees I don't want to wear a suit right
and I feel like I don't have to anymore I can just wear whatever as long as I look presentable
so a little bit I'm like dang cameron I thought I was just showing up to play basketball but okay
and so but I don't know what to say because I don't fully agree with him and also Jimmy Allen was just
in t-shirt and shorts yeah was hanging out in the picture he looked like he was about to go hoop
so I didn't know what to say and I just want to leave cane on red so I said ha ha jimmy and
I ready to go chill on the couch that's all I said that's a good one right then it just gets even
more awkward as this goes on. Then he goes,
I meant to send this to Jimmy.
Oh. Yeah, because
you weren't really dressed like you're...
I know, so now I'm like talked and certain...
He said, I meant to send this to Jimmy, LMAO. I hit unsend fast as heck, but I guess
that button doesn't work. Oh, there's an unsent button?
I don't know if there is or not, but I just was like, I was slightly offended and then
now I just feel stupid that I said anything.
That's really funny.
Because I was like, and he didn't, he wasn't even talking.
to me.
So it would have been better if you wouldn't have responded.
I know.
It's just awkward in every way.
It just would have been better if he thought he was responding to Jimmy.
And then he's like, why didn't Jimmy ever reply to me?
Then he went and looked and he goes, oh, I sent that to Bobby.
And if I had just been honest, I've been like, no, dude, I think I look pretty good.
What if I had just said that?
So I'm just going to leave him on red now.
I'm not replying to that.
You don't know what it means.
It's all just, oh, I know.
It's awkward.
Okay, so that's one thing.
another thing in my
Instagram DMs. I got a message
saying
Hey Bobby, just want to verify with you about your
Stanley the dog book. I got an email from
Stanley Bones asking for my
address and then another email requesting
I fill out a Google form with an address and information.
I want to make sure this is correct and not a scam.
Thank you. Sorry for bothering you. My kids love your show.
Chelsea. So if you
pre-order the book, we have to find
a way to get you the signed art that goes
inside the book. And so that is
legit. So
if you were to get a message from my dog, that is the book company, or Morgan, not our Morgan here,
Morgan number one, reaching out and going, hey, we need your address to send you this,
because we're doing it all ourselves. The book company is not really helping with this part.
So I wanted anybody that pre-order the book to get a signed book. And when you get a signed book,
what that really means is they send us a bunch of pages and you just sign the page and the book
and the book puts it inside the book and sends you the book.
Last time we did that, some people didn't get the signed page. And it was a whole mess.
And so I said, okay, let's just go around the book.
We'll circumvent this situation.
We'll do it ourselves.
So we have these original art pieces that aren't even in the book of me and Stanley as cartoons,
characters in the book.
And I'm signing them all.
And then we're going to send them separately to make sure you get them.
And then you can put it in the book because we've also made it sticky.
So we're not screwing up like last time.
And that is legit.
If you got it, let's go.
Thank you.
Got that cleared.
So it's the opposite of what these country stars are going.
That's not me.
It was you.
Yes.
And if that account asked for gift cards, please send them.
So that is, that is legit.
They announced the Austin Silliamets Music Festival.
Saw that just now, which is pretty cool.
Who's headlining?
It's a pretty cool lineup.
Really?
Yeah, it is.
So I don't have it up right now, but if I can remember, the chili peppers.
Nice.
Pink.
Casey Musgraves, Siza.
Oh, here we go.
Lil Nas X, Paramore, the chicks.
I say chicks.
Wow.
I'm having it.
Flume, not really a flume guy, but it's a pretty cool event.
So, chili peppers, pink, Lil Nasex, Zoker Park, October 7th and 9th, and 14th and 16th.
Man, I want to go.
I don't.
I'm over festivals.
Really?
I've done too old.
I've done too many.
But I've never gone to Austin City Limits Music Festival without working it.
Oh.
I've gone like 10 years, but I was always working.
Yeah, maybe I'm just so over it from working most years as well.
I know, I know.
I just am good for no music festivals.
I'm good. Just done
It's just and also I've played so many of them
We've played so many of them
You're just like it's hot
I don't even like it that much anymore
Dusty yeah
But if you're not us and you're not jaded by all of it
Go and have fun
It'd be awesome because that's an awesome
I like that lineup
The chili peppers pink the chick
Siza musgraves paramour
Parenthoodleaux
So I just saw that out
And then finally the other note that I made
Because I'm always making notes for the post show
Is that I saw a guy
You know Amy what happens is you play fantasy football
And if you're
worst in your league. In our league, you have to pay extra. You have to double your payment in. So
that's not that bad as far as like humiliation. But in some of them, you have to do something.
You know, the guy that had to live in a wall house for 24 hours. Yeah. You know, he lost his fantasy
football league last place and had to do that. Well, this guy in their league, the loser had to go
play in the local version of the U.S. Open. So they have, anybody can get in if you pay your fee.
and if you win the local, then you go to a regional.
And if you win all these tournaments, you can eventually make it to the U.S. Open, the big tournament.
Rare that it happens.
But he went and played the local, and he shot like a 120 or something.
He's not even a good golfer, but he had to go and get in the tournament and play.
That's really funny.
That's so funny.
Especially if you play golf and you know how humiliating is really bad.
Humiliating that would be you don't want to do it.
You're playing to.
He had like tens on two holes.
Yeah, funny.
It's okay.
Made those notes.
Ready to move on from that.
Stevie Wonder is getting his honorary doctorate.
Oh my goodness.
From?
What is going on?
This happens all the time.
This happens every year.
I've never heard of it.
Yes, this year, it's because I'm getting one that they keep coming up.
But Stevie Wonder from Wayne State University gave him the honorary degree from clickon Detroit.com.
When did he go to school there?
I don't think you have to go to school there.
Taylor Swift didn't go to NYU.
Exactly.
But if somebody wants to recognize.
you. For what?
Lunchbugs. But that's what I'm saying. I don't understand what they're recognizing for.
You didn't do it. You didn't go there. You didn't do anything. You didn't take classes. You didn't
attend that campus. So you're just going to hand it out to some rando?
Yeah. I think it's for someone that's made a difference in what the school is teaching or...
Yeah, culturally like Taylor Swift, there was a whole course dedicated to her. And for me, it's because
of the state, and that is the big school in the state. And I do a lot of work within the state.
And so they're going, we'd like to recognize you for that.
Yeah, like if you start speaking positively about it,
you could bring this sort of opportunity your way.
And you know 100% whatever college,
when it called you up and offered you an honorary doctorate,
you would accept it.
We're going to give Lunchbox a reality show doctorate.
Yeah.
From the University of Kansas.
Yes.
Oh, wow.
That'd be kind of cool.
Like his eyes just opened up big.
That would be cool.
And you would take it and be like, well, I've watched a lot of reality shows.
And you've been a big fan of Kansas for years.
Yeah.
For years.
And I mean, but...
But they probably hear you complaining about it,
so they're not going to give you one.
I don't think that's why they're not.
That might be why they don't give me one.
So, Steve Blander gets that.
A baby was born at a Metallica show on Brazil.
Wow!
I'd always wanted people to have a baby at our show.
But you wanted to bring them on stage, though.
Yeah, I wanted the whole moment.
On stage?
Yes.
You wanted like, spotlights.
I'd always been like, oh, you have a baby at the show.
It's a refund.
I give you money back.
And so, but yeah, that happened at a Metallica show.
I guess they must have really loved Metallica to go that pregnant.
Right.
Or maybe like the bass.
Boom.
What do they call it?
Like pushed her out.
Oh, here it comes.
The vibrations.
So saw that.
Let's see.
Amy, there was a fire miss habitat at your house?
Yes.
So I don't know how exactly, but I think grease from the burger ended up at the bottom of the grill where there was, I don't know.
A flame?
Yeah, I have a video.
Big like, oh, wow, hurry.
No, like, hurry close that because, like, it could have hit the top of the patio and then caught.
Like, we have vines right there.
I feel like the wood and the vines, like fire could have caught quick and sort of spread.
And now I know what my kids will do in case of a fire because.
Oh, good.
You taught them well.
Yeah.
We have the video because my daughter recorded.
So naturally, phone first video.
Right.
And all safety, phone first.
Record.
In the video, she's just laughing.
and then she runs away.
It's too foggy and slams the door inside.
No fire extinguisher, no grab the fire extinguisher.
No fire extinguisher needed.
But I mean, I don't know.
Can you see the flame?
It looks like the house is on fire.
It's pretty far away.
That was the gas grill outside?
I don't think it's, is it gas?
Yeah, probably.
I don't know how girls were.
Did you use it as a learning moment where you go,
hey, guys, if this happens, you need to run and get the fire extinguish.
Yeah, like, hey, let's try to help.
I mean, good job filming.
but we need to say, hey, is it okay?
Like, what do you need me to do?
Like, go to safety, but everyone just thought it was hilarious.
Does your daughter send you her TikToks that she's going to post and some that she doesn't?
Yeah.
Well, she only can get on TikTok if she's on my phone.
But she, why?
I was asking.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, so to my knowledge, she doesn't have TikTok on her phone.
Oh, I don't know that she has TikTok on her phone.
She has her TikTok, but it's on my phone.
Can I see her?
She has Snapchat.
I won't say her name or anything. Is it on your account?
On TikTok?
Yeah, is it on your account or she has her own?
Oh, I'm watching something actually.
Caitlin sent me.
Okay, hold on.
Wait, is it a tick?
I opened up my TikTok and this is what it was on.
Is it? Oh, that's not it.
Okay, never mind.
Okay, hold on. Let me see.
Profile.
Yeah, she's...
Is she on your account or she have her own?
She has her own, but it's on my...
Right, but I'm saying, I don't want to say it.
Yeah, don't say it.
I just want to see her account real quick.
Can I please see her account?
Yeah.
What's going on?
By the way, on our TikTok, on my TikTok, our video of us doing opening act, got over half a million views.
Really?
Really?
Yeah.
What's the cat one?
Is it the cat one?
Yes, I didn't know if you knew.
How'd you know that?
She sent it to me.
Okay.
And I are, yeah.
What?
I didn't know, I don't know what Amy sees.
And I don't tell.
And as long as to share us.
Yeah, so she sent that and, yeah, we've already had.
had a very long talk.
Okay.
And...
Do you follow her bones?
No, no, no, no.
But she'll...
St. Cheryl was saying Caitlin videos.
Got it.
I...
And that was one you were concerned about?
Well, I wasn't concerned because the cat was fine.
Well, the cat, yes.
So here's how...
So I was out of town.
And so then I'm, like, texting with her about it.
Then I had to call her.
And we had to have this whole conversation about everything in general.
Because she was in D.C.
And she kind of went outside the lines and broke some of our rules.
But, like, we were so busy.
But she was like, I didn't think I was bringing the rules.
because I was with chaperones and like school stuff
and they took our phones at night, you know.
And anyway, she's,
I don't want to put her on blast, but we're having some.
She was doing a TikTok with the cat.
Okay, so then I'm like,
Maggie's totally fine.
And then she sends me like a picture of the cat
looking totally fine.
Well, cats land on their feet.
Yeah.
So she threw the cat in, here I'll just show you.
She threw the cat in the air.
she didn't catch it.
So she sent Caitlin a video going, oops.
And so she's chunking the cat up.
Oh, oh, oh.
Did you see?
And she missed it.
Oh.
And the cat's fine.
She didn't catch it.
I just wonder if that got to.
So did you?
I heard Amy talking on the phone to her when it went down and she was like, we need to have a talk.
Did you post a cat video?
Oh, did she post it?
Well, no.
Or you, the cat video.
Yes, I already knew it was.
We just had to like, because she had texted it to me.
Anyway, it was just a whole...
I agree.
It's a whole thing.
And so, you know, kids...
She's 15.
I'm like, social media.
It's just the thing.
After several months, the U.S. baby formula shortage is only getting worse.
If you, like, watch the news or a couple different news, Instagram feeds I follow,
they show different stores around the country where there's no formula.
That's scary.
Completely empty for baby formula.
Man.
And so the issue has been compounded by chain issues, product recalls, historic inflation.
given the unprecedented amount of volatility to the category
we anticipate baby formula to continue to be one of the most affected products in the market.
So there you go.
There's not a lot of...
Is it happening here?
I guess nobody has a lunchbox.
We don't use formula.
We use the breast.
You can just say we breastfeed.
It's okay.
You wanted to do that.
No breast.
Yeah.
But so I haven't noticed any shortage, but they said, I was reading news articles,
people do not try to make formula at home.
Yeah.
Like because people are like looking up, okay, if it's not at the store, I can make it at the house.
And they said that is very dangerous for your baby.
I wonder if people can donate breast milk.
Oh, he's you can donate breast milk.
So there's a shortage.
Maybe that's kind of the part of a solution.
I don't know.
I mean.
Or you can you take, if we do something on this post show, can you make a clip of it, Eddie, and send it to me?
Yeah.
So you can record while you're streaming.
Yes.
You want me to record now?
Yes, because what I'm going to talk about next, I want recorded.
Thank you.
So, one of my dearest friends is Andy Roddick.
He used to play professional tennis.
And he hit me up a few days ago.
And he said, hey, I don't think Amy won that tournament that she talks about winning.
And I can actually read you because Amy's always like, I won this tournament.
I was the tennis tournament.
Baby Acapulco.
First place, 1992.
So I want to read you his message and I told him I would get to the bottom of this.
Oh, my goodness.
You researched.
Do I need to go get something out of my car?
What do you have a trophy?
You can if you want.
Can someone get it? My car's unlocked.
Here's what he writes to me.
He says, I'm going to need proof that Amy won that baby Acapulco tennis tournament.
It was actually a legit local tournament.
I said, I'll bring it up.
He said, I bet you want another tournament called the Snowball Open or something.
That is so rude.
But just remembers playing in the baby Acapulco.
No.
And so, did you have somebody to run out to your car?
Yeah, they should be.
I just said, I don't know if it happens.
Hey, can someone go to my car too?
Is this how this works around it?
Hollywood has changed.
changed you.
Okay, please.
So, go ahead.
So you have the trophy.
What's the trophy say?
It says, baby Acapoco.
I'm pretty sure.
It's purple.
Oh, no.
She's pretty sure.
It's purple.
It says first place.
I think she ran to go good.
Will you bring it to me when it comes in?
Go ahead.
Bring them all.
I brought three.
No, we don't need all three.
Go ahead.
We'll inspect it when it gets here.
The only problem is the first time we,
Andy Roddick came on the Bobby Bono show like in 2000, I don't know,
six or something.
I brought on my.
tennis trophies and he signed that one and he signed it right over where it says first place.
You know what? We'll be able to see. We'll be able to see. So you have yours. We're going to get
to the end of that. Ray also oddly brought up that Andy's mad at him. Yeah, I think he is. So can I tell
the backstory really quickly? You can tell it slowly quickly? Yeah. So at your bachelor party,
when I said bye to him, we gave daps, we did hand slaps and he said, keep in touch. And I didn't
know exactly what that meant. Do I need to text? I just need something to say to make this ending go
faster. Okay. So I was trying to keep in touch and it's been a little bit now, but he was on my
TV. We were watching Bravo and his wife. Brooklyn Decker was on with Andy Cohen and they were
showing pictures of Andy's arm or if it was somebody else's arm. And so there were pictures of
Andy on my TV and I'm like, Andy, bro, I'm trying to watch Bravo and I got all these random
pictures of you on my TV and I sent him a text and a picture of him on my TV. And that was like,
it was like a month ago, maybe. So he didn't respond back to him. Yeah, I never heard back from Andy on that one.
We'll put this in the video, too.
That's it.
It's the purple one.
Baby Acapulco, Caswell, Spring, Jr.
What?
Caswell.
Oh, Caswell.
I don't know.
What is that?
The school?
Is it Caswell tennis?
Caswell, Spring, Jr., first place, girls, 12 singles.
Eddie, can you zoom?
Yeah.
I mean, that's legit.
And we'll sit in this clip to him.
Let me know if you can even see it or if I need to angle it.
Do you think someone just forgot the trophy and Amy?
No.
No.
No, y'all, don't discount my.
My tennis abilities from 92.
You got it?
That's legit.
Yeah.
Okay.
So there's that one.
Uh-huh.
And then...
These are just a few of my...
Onion Creek 1991 club champion, girls 12s.
That's me.
Yeah, same age.
Holy crap.
12-year-olds?
Did it was 12 year...
I was on the Onion Creek tennis team.
Did you peak at 12 athletically?
I must have.
What's that one?
Junior Girls Championship first place, advanced beginner division.
Advanced Beginner playing as 12-year-olds, but this is from 2019.
No, it wasn't.
What is that?
Is that 89?
1980.
It's got tape on it.
I can't tell.
Oh.
It was, I think it's 89.
That's so cool.
It used to have those.
Oh, 87.
So, see, that was when I was a beginner.
Are you sure these are from you?
I started playing tennis.
She was five years old.
This says 1964.
Hey, Bob, they don't have her name on her, right?
No.
Listen, I, my parents were on the tennis team.
they play doubles.
You can stop that clip.
We can keep talking about it,
but I don't want the clip
to be 10 minutes long.
Okay.
Okay, well,
it shouldn't have a record, though?
Sure, Google.
Call baby aqua porpo.
I don't know.
Call, yeah, the restaurant.
Yeah, baby A's.
Yeah.
Just be like, hey, you guys have records there.
Can you look into your files?
Yeah.
They're like, no, we have margaritas.
That's about it.
Can you all,
we'll have Mike do some research.
Am I challenging things
from your child?
childhood.
Sure.
I'd like to challenge,
I'd like Mike if you can,
can you find when I was like voted
third or fourth best rapper
in Austin, Texas.
Nice.
Austin Chronicle.
That did happen.
I remember that.
And sometimes I say it,
people don't believe me.
Same thing with Amy.
And I'm like, I know what happened.
And I know that I was named like,
I don't know.
In my mind, it's third or fourth best rapper.
It may not be that high.
But I was on the list of best rappers
in Austin, Texas
when I was doing my run as Captain Caucasian.
Mm-hmm.
So I would like to challenge myself on that one.
Because maybe I'm giving myself too much credit.
I know I was in top 10 and I was voted.
But let's see.
All right, what are you looking up, Amy?
Googling.
I don't know if there's a database from a tennis tournament in 1992.
But like some people, they're like, oh, you know.
It's just a 1987 one feels weird.
Why?
I started playing tennis young.
Yeah, how old?
Well?
No, no, don't do the math.
Well, I don't.
I guess it's in kindergarten.
Five years old.
You were playing tennis?
Well, I was probably.
But yes.
Winning tournaments?
But what I'm saying is...
That's pretty awesome.
Five years old?
My sister played tennis.
My parents played what I'm saying.
Your sister won that?
That's what I was wondering.
No. No, she was...
Listen, she was better at dancing.
Call her.
She can say, yes, Amy was good at tennis.
I was good at dancing.
I believe you.
He just didn't believe you.
He said it was a legit tournament.
It is a legit tournament.
And that's why I had him sign that one.
And that's when he came in, he told me, he goes,
oh my gosh.
He goes, I pretty sure I was at Baby Acapoco 92.
And I was like...
And I was like...
beat him? Well, no, I played girls.
She had to beat Nadal.
Federer and then Roddick in the end.
That's what made me think if I
if I'd stuck with it, who knows?
Or if I had gone to Florida and trained.
But that happens when people say you're so good.
We want you to come here.
Yeah, I wasn't invited to Florida.
Abby, thank you for bringing these in.
Yes, thank you, Abby.
Lunchbox sent me a note since Abby is a nut job,
and that's why she's single.
What?
My gosh.
What on earth?
Abby, do you want to get up to the microphone?
I would like you to defend yourself.
I didn't hear what you just said.
Lunchbox sent a note that said Abby is a nut job.
That's why she's single.
That's so mean.
Go ahead, lunchbox?
Okay.
So we're on the plane going to Austin, right, for the IHeart Festival, and I have the window.
Eddie has the aisle.
Abby's coming down the thing, and she has her suitcase, and she's having a tough time lifting it.
And the guy behind her says, oh, here, you want me to help you with that?
And puts it in the overhead bin for her.
And then she sits down between this, and she goes, I cannot blow it.
believe that guy helped me. And we're like, why? He goes, she goes, he was married. He should not
be helping me when he's married. That's not the full story. Yes, it is. That's the story.
Yeah. Even Scoot is jumping in. Yeah. Happy, tell your version of it. Okay. So I was in the airport
standing by lunchbox and that guy was over like in the, by the chairs, just kept looking over at us.
And I thought he was looking at me. Like, I don't know. And so I get in line. My number was called,
he comes right behind me. I'm like, what are the odds at this guy that's been the
looking over the whole time stands behind me.
So we're getting on the plane and then he was behind me and then he's like, hey, can I get that
for you?
And he lifted it up and then I saw his ring.
And that's when I said that.
So you're feeling like he was hitting on you the whole time.
Yeah.
And that he used that as an opportunity to actually talk to you.
Yes.
What else did he say to you?
What else did he say to you the whole time?
Nothing.
Nothing.
Exactly.
You made up this story that this guy is staring at you from across the airport.
He was.
He helps you with his bag.
And she said, I'm married man.
But her quote was,
a married man shouldn't help you lift your bag.
She did end with that.
That's what she said.
Like a married man shouldn't offer to help.
I help people with their bags all the time.
Right.
So then getting off the plane,
she asked Eddie for help and Eddie go,
sorry,
I'm married.
I said,
no,
I'm married.
Sorry,
I can't.
And I mean,
I'm married and I accept the help.
Oh, no.
Is that not the craziest?
That's pretty crazy.
It is?
That's a nut job.
Well,
if he was all over you,
like,
hey, baby,
are winking at you,
or trying to buy you
and he's married,
Okay, but he wasn't, huh?
I mean, he was getting close.
He was close to me.
What do you mean close?
Like a line.
In line.
In line close.
Yes.
And, you know, Southwest, they have the things you stand by.
And everyone's close.
No Mary Man should be by your number, right?
Yeah.
Exactly.
I don't think that was his number.
I think he just jumped in line behind me.
So you were, somebody sent a thing.
Who was hitting on you at IHeart Festival?
What?
Oh, yeah.
Oh, we can go back at that.
Yeah, okay.
It's his friend.
Lunchbox is friend.
Same guy?
No.
Oh.
No, single dude.
Who told me about that?
I did.
Oh, it was Morgan.
Okay.
Morgan, what did you see?
So, um, we were out at a bar after all of our events Friday night and lunchbox's
friend kept pursuing Abby throughout the entire evening.
Oh, let's not like Abby wasn't throwing it back.
What?
Oh, that's not like that.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Hold on.
You're sticking out for your boy here and I understand that, but go ahead, Morgan.
Abby was just like having a good time.
We were all hanging out.
There was no one-on-one time.
with lunchbox and her friend until the end of the night when we order an Uber and they're not
behind us and I'm like oh my gosh where's Abby we got a find her and lunchbox and scuba
see her like no no no let's just go she'll be fine no no no yes left me
them we called them and we're like hey we're in the Uber oh we're in the bar well are you
coming and the Uber driver started driving away and we're like well they're fine they're
just coming back to the hotel not a big deal so is it love connection he was cute
I know. See, I thought it was weird.
I was like, I don't understand what's happening here
because she said he's cute, which is felt to me like, yeah, I'd like to have that.
But then she jumps him with a no.
I don't think so.
She was definitely flirting.
They were both flirting with each other.
So to make it sound like it was a one-sided thing is a little bit of a misrepresentation.
But they were both the whole night chit-chatting.
And when we were walking to a next bar, those two walk next to each other.
Well, there's no reason to feel embarrassed about it.
Right.
There's nothing wrong with it, Abby.
I'm not, that's what I'm saying.
Was he married?
No.
Okay then.
Yeah, was he?
Rock and roll.
That's what I say.
It's like dating, it's like dating your brother's friend.
It's weird.
No, that's not.
It's awesome.
It, it's weird.
Would you want to date lunchbox's friend?
I'd love to date my brother's friend.
What?
I don't have a brother and I'm already, I don't, it's a matter if he's a nice person.
Yeah.
Lunchbox's friends actually are really nice.
The thing that comes along with it is lunchbox is so rude to Abby and then lunchbox would always be around.
Didn't you say Abby's trying to bribe you or something?
Yes.
Listen, I mean, she went to Kansas, and I'm a big Kansas fan.
They win the national title, and all of a sudden, Abby is bringing a shirt.
She bought me a national championship shirt, and she's like, oh, here, I just got this for you.
So she did something nice for you.
And it's basically saying, hey, you know, next time you're talking about me, will you say good things?
That's what she's doing.
So you think it's bribing, but she's just being a nice person.
I love giving gifts, so that's just what I wanted to do.
I'm not trying to bribe you.
What do I bribe you?
Or what?
Say nice things.
tell everybody you're a great singer.
You got the shirt? Did you like it?
Yeah.
Anything you like to say about Abby?
Oh, thanks for the shirt, Abby.
He just called her a nut job.
Oh, that's true.
Amy, after hearing it, did she sound like a nut job?
No.
I didn't, I wouldn't put that in that job category.
Maybe not the words nut job.
She's sounded a little crazy.
Yeah, it's like, okay, she can probably just, you know,
put that rule away that she has in her head
and let Mary men help her with her luggage.
I think I just have trust issues with married guys.
Maybe.
I haven't hit on me before.
Keep talking.
On the way to Austin one time,
a guy hit on me.
But hitting on you shouldn't be a trust issue thing.
But it's, hey, do you need help with your luggage?
Do you consider that hitting on?
Yes.
No.
No, Abby, listen to me for a second.
I think a married guy hitting on you didn't break any sort of trust.
That's just a sleazy dude.
There are sleazy dudes everywhere.
Yes.
So that shouldn't break your trust.
If you dated somebody who you found out later was married,
that would be the trust breaker.
There's no reason for you to feel like married guys have screwed you over.
Like, it's just so hurt her.
Hey, I mean, I don't want to say nut job.
That's rude.
But a little nutty.
Yes.
No.
Come on.
Maybe just confused.
Maybe.
Thank you, Abby.
Mm-hmm.
Thank you.
Eddie, have you hit snooze yet?
So for the most part, no.
Well, that means yes.
I hit it on Sunday because I didn't want to miss my flight.
Sunday.
To fly back.
That's countering.
If you don't want to miss it.
Well, no, I set the alarm and then I came on and I looked at it.
I was like, well, I mean, literally I was meeting people in 30 minutes downstairs.
I'm only going to take a five-minute shower.
I can probably use 10 more minutes of sleep.
So I hit snooze.
But why not set your alarm for that anyway?
So no snooze.
If you could use that 10 minutes, why not?
Yeah.
In my mind, I thought like if I did accidentally, because remember, I told you, I can't really control sleeping me.
so if I do hit snooze in this like...
But you can control Sleepy U.
You choose not to control Sleepy U.
You have to train Sleepy U.
If you murdered somebody, Judge, I can't control
sleepy me, I'm sleepy. Is that gonna hold up?
They would send me to the mental hospital.
No, they would put you in jail
because you can control Sleepy U.
Amy, do you believe in Sleepy U?
I believe you have to build new habits
and I believe that you've been snoozing for so long
that that's what took over.
So you have to just be consistent
and do it more than you've done it, quite honestly.
It can't be like, Bobby needs to ask you, have you snoo slily?
And you need to be like, nope.
And then you keep going down that.
You can be like, no, in general, no, I haven't.
So it's like a little fib.
Right.
You have to just stick with it.
That's not a fib because we didn't ask you yet.
Do weekends count?
No, what counts is what you say, if you don't set an alarm ever, you don't snooze.
So now I would say, but if you set an alarm and you hit snooze, that counts.
All right.
So I failed one time.
But I've been doing pretty good.
Like this morning I didn't hit snooze.
Yeah, it's hard.
I feel you.
It's tough, man.
You just have to keep at it.
You'll get there.
He's got to work on controlling sleepy you.
Sleepy me, he's got a mind of his own, man.
That's the biggest bulkout thing you've ever heard.
Let's see.
Yes, it's harder, yes, but you can control them.
Talk to Sleepy Me.
I agree with you.
What else?
What are the notes do I have here before we go?
Amy, your son said some sweet things to you.
Does that normally not happen with him?
Yeah, I would say we don't really have that type of exchange.
So to hear him actually verbalize that, I think the way he said it, he even said, it was so cute.
He was like, okay, what I'm about to say is H-A-R-D.
Oh, he spelled out hard.
Yeah, like, it's hard for him to say.
I bet you try that with Caitlin.
Because he didn't want to say it.
Yeah, but it was just really precious and sweet.
And just if there's any other adoptive moms out there are parents where there's kind of been, there's like attachment things or like you feel.
lack of connection, you're like, oh, I just wish these kids would know how much I loved them,
because it is difficult and it is hard. And we adopted our kids older. Just be patient because
he was able to express to me that he does care about me and he wants to protect me. And if
he asked if I'd ever noticed how when he's walking next to me, he's making sure that I'm okay
and looking around. And it was just sweet to hear that he wanted to be my protector. It is good. Growth.
Yeah, a lot of growth. So just hopefully that's some encouragement to any parents out there,
adoptive or not.
Like you can even have,
you know,
biological children
that you're not
feeling connected to
and just a little
sprinkle of hope.
Pretty cool.
I do have,
and I'll end on this.
We can probably do a little money
too if we need to.
Yes, we do.
From 2008, 2009,
Best Hip Hop Artist,
number one in Austin,
the Austin Music Awards.
Oh, it's Music Awards.
So they had to do awards.
Yeah.
Okay, got it.
Austin Music Awards.
Best hip hop artist was Overlord.
Oh, yeah, MC Overlord.
Number two is Kevin Jack.
I remember him.
Number three, Captain Caucasian.
That's you.
That's crazy.
And they had like, what, 10 mic?
Can you send me the link to this or screenshot that really cool for me?
Did Bavu make that list?
Yeah, number six.
Nice.
But don't forget the time, I finished top three.
I mean, so you're lucky that you had the internet then to...
Best rapper.
No, they just went off to start my music.
They didn't know who it was.
No.
What I'm saying is right now, the internet was available, so it's there as proof.
Like in 92, I, I've been.
been Googling to try to find proof of my tennis tournament and there's nothing.
Yeah.
I'm sure we could go to the archive somewhere in a drawer.
They probably got in a dual.
A dual.
Somewhere in a d'w.
Man, I found a tape in my attic that said Captain Caucasian recording and I try to play it and
I don't have anything to play it on.
So I might use that.
Legacy box.
Legacy box.
Yeah.
promo code bones.
What the heck?
Yeah.
I record back in the old.
I don't know.
It might have been you and me in the studio.
I don't know what we were doing.
A teac cassette tape?
camera tape.
That's crazy.
Yeah, I'll cap the Caucasian.
Ripping it and chipping it, man.
Was that one of your songs?
I don't know.
Man, I like saying it, though.
Back in the day.
Okay, thank you guys.
No money today.
What, what do you mean?
We got to go.
Yeah.
I just saw a guest come in that we're going to interview.
Dang it.
We can only take a second, one roll.
Okay, if this is 21, Eddie,
you have 50 bucks.
Let's go.
47.
21.

147.
46. Oh, you, come on.
What, we're going to say you what?
46. All right, that's it. See you guys tomorrow.
