And she doesn't know how to turn her mic down. And so what's the situation there, Amy? You have buttons, but you don't know what they do.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Oh, there's a lot of buttons. And I don't want to hit the wrong button to turn me down. But can you not see where the button is? Turn it down and then put it back at that exact spot if it doesn't turn you down? Could if I knew which button. No, no, you're missing. You're missing my point. If you just go to any button.
Starting point is 00:03:01 Oh, wait. Hold on. Wait, I forgot about this one button. Let me know if this works. Okay. Go ahead. Okay. I'm going to go blah, blah, blah. That's it. That's it. That's it. Did it go off? It did, but we hear you through another microphone that's on.
Starting point is 00:03:15 Yeah, I have two mics in here. Yeah, turn that one off and then just talk. Wait, I forgot. I just realized with this, it's like this little box. It's like the little buttons. Oh, N O-F. No, that's not it. It looks almost like a button you might press if you were like really important. Can you turn the other mic off? Hold on. Let me try. Okay, we'll try this again. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Okay, it takes eight seconds. I asked her earlier. I was like, can you turn your mic off? She's no. She's got it. It's impossible. It took her eight seconds to try to turn her mic off.
Starting point is 00:03:47 So when you have to cough now, instead of like coughing in our ears, you can just turn the mic off. Oh my gosh. This would have saved me so much effort over the last two days. Or like when my son walks in and I'm trying to get him to shut up, I can just press that button. There you go. Okay. So what do we do? Oh, go ahead, Amy. Shut up. It seemed harsh. It did, yeah. We get it, though. I get it fitting for the show.
Starting point is 00:04:08 I get it. Fitting. Where do we start? Let's go with. I mean, we can, yeah, talk about our vacations a little bit, a little bit more than we did on the air because we had so much to do. You want to go first, Amy? Sure. Well, we normally go to Colorado every summer anyway because that's where my sister lives.
Starting point is 00:04:29 But we decided to do a family camp this year in Colorado. And I've never done anything like that. and it was crazy because it's camp. It does family camp, I'd assume it was a camp, yeah. I bet they're in there are families. Really? Wow, yeah. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:04:45 It's crazy. But I mean, I know what camp was like as a kid, but I just didn't know what to expect. And it was amazing because it's, you do all this stuff that you would, if you were the parents just planning this vacation for your kids, like horseback riding and river whitewater rafting and all these things,
Starting point is 00:05:05 would have to go out and make the effort to do it all and organize your kids, but it's all done for you. And you just show up and your kids have all these other kids to play with. So you actually get a lot of downtime as an adult to just hike or read or. And so I couldn't decide if it was like exhausting or relaxing, kind of somewhere or a little bit of both. Were you in a dorm? Like who's in who's, are you with the kids? What's that situation? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:28 So there's like a lodge at the camp where a lot of people stay. and then there's a couple of cabins that you can rent out. And one of our, my husband's roommate from the Air Force Academy rented a cabin and you reserve this stuff like years in advance. And that's the only reason why we got in last minute is because he had room in his cabin and he invited us to stay there. And so we literally decided to do it super last minute. It's something that books up ahead of time.
Starting point is 00:05:58 So we were just super thankful. So we also had the luxury of having a cabin a little. little bit like 100 yards away from the lodge. So it felt a little more private. But it was pretty cool. It was a young life camp and lots of like what's that ropes course, you know, stuff like you could bond with your family that otherwise we wouldn't do. Except for the day I got all harnessed up and was supposed to do it. There was lightning. So we had to get down. And I saw that as a sign that I shouldn't do it. Because I was terrified. But yeah. I mean, yeah, you shouldn't do it if it was lightning. No.
Starting point is 00:06:33 I mean, a lot of people saw that lightning and it wasn't a sign. That sign is you can get too. That's selfish to think a lightning was sent just to you. So you didn't go up on a ropes course and a harness. Well, no. Everyone harnessed up the next day and went except for me because I saw that as like I had my shot. I was going to do it. No, you just didn't want to go.
Starting point is 00:06:52 You just could have found any excuse whatsoever. The next day with the sunshine, you didn't see that as a sign of, oh man, I'm supposed to do it now? No, because I was terrified. When I got up there, I thought, and I was watching, I mean, Stevenson's 11, and he cruised right across it and thought it was amazing. And I was so scared. Yeah, you're talking to the most terrified person ever. I had to go hang under the Grand Canyon deal. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:14 I don't know how you did that. Actually, now that I think about it, the stuff you've done for your show, Bobby, I was kind of like, why is he being so wimpy? And you're, yeah, I don't even know how he did it. I can't do it. Well, I'm glad that you guys had fun. And yeah, I don't know. I mean, it doesn't sound fun to me, but maybe it's fun to you. I don't have kids.
Starting point is 00:07:36 And I guess you got to build your vacation around kids once you have kids. That's what you guys did, right, Eddie? Yeah, so, I mean, she made me think about my vacation because I do have memories of it being like, it was fun. But, man, I'm more tired now than I was before vacation. And that's what it is. I mean, you're taking four kids on vacation. It's a lot of like, oh, no, guys, let's get together. We got to go.
Starting point is 00:07:55 Dude, the airport travel with four kids is crazy. You guys flew. You didn't drive? We flew and just the whole process of checking in, getting a rental car, going to security and all that with four boys is tough. And our flight back was at 5 in the morning. 5.30. So talk about like these kids. Once they were in the car, they were awake.
Starting point is 00:08:16 They weren't like half asleep. They were just wide awake, making everyone mad at the airport because they're so loud. And it's like everyone's half asleep. So it was fun. We went to Florida. Went to the beach and did all that. But at the same time, dude, it was exhausting. I've got to, I talk to my therapist about this.
Starting point is 00:08:31 I've got to look at vacations a little differently. For years, I would be like, this is not a vacation for me. This is for the kids. This is not fun. So, and you can't go into a vacation having fun that way. You got to go and being like, no, you know what, this is going to make good memories for all of us. It's going to be memories for the kids and it'll be fun for us. And then we'll have a good time.
Starting point is 00:08:52 And so I did that and I came out of the vacation saying, hey, that was a lot of fun. But I am physically tired. The 5 a.m. flight, though, as rough as it sounds, strategically the best decision, especially with all the delays. Totally. That's why we did it. The cancellations, the pilot. Same. Because you know that plane's going to be there and it's going to go 99% of the time.
Starting point is 00:09:09 And we initially have like a noon or 1 o'clock and we said, no, let's change it to the 5.30. And it's so hard because sometimes the plane just doesn't even get there. And you can't go up the plane doesn't get there because it's stuck in Chicago, stuck in Minneapolis. But you know the plane's going to be there at 5 in the morning if it's the first flight out of the morning. Yeah. And those early flights, too, man, they're so dark because the sun's not even up yet. And, like, really, it felt like it was a nighttime flight until we started getting closer to Nashville. Hey, Ray, by the way, not to break this up, but you went to Florida?
Starting point is 00:09:36 Yeah, panhandle, Dustin. I was thinking about you because, you know the envelope you have up there that signed? Mm-hmm. And in that envelope, it says what? It's the couple that's going to get a divorce. And then Steve signed it to Scuba Steve to make sure that it was validated. They're going to do what? A celebrity couple of.
Starting point is 00:09:53 A celebrity couple is getting divorced. and Ray's been telling him, tell us him about forever. Somebody opened it? They did. Uh-oh. The bottom house open, yeah. While we were on vacation? That's weird.
Starting point is 00:10:07 Right. Right. They put a new sheet in there. They put a new sheet. Lunchbox is always a conspiracy theorist. Hey, Scoop, how did somebody get in here? I mean, our door to this room is unlocked so anyone can walk around. We have construction going on in the building and people walk around willy-nilly.
Starting point is 00:10:23 But we have to stop that. These aren't even our people here anymore. I know. I've sent an email to. to the powers that be and the level of give a crap is at a zero because no one's here and we are here. And so therefore... Yeah, it sucks because we're in this building and nobody else is. I think it just, the glue came off.
Starting point is 00:10:40 You don't think somebody got into it? No, I don't think he's messing with it right now. Looks like the glue just came off a little bit. So what sucks is our whole company has moved to another building. And we're the only ones left here. And the whole top floor, they've been rebuilding and repainting because there's a sports agency coming in. but here we are we don't have anywhere to park
Starting point is 00:10:59 we constant construction going on we have sound coming through the walls and scuba will have to come in and listen to the construction through the wall and go is it loud enough that I need to go say something or is it not quite loud enough where we can go on the air and do our show
Starting point is 00:11:15 with a saw running in the background and maybe listeners won't know if Ray turns the background music up so loud and the fact that we have to deal with this is crazy it's crazy and so it's just a weird situation for us right now because we don't even know if we're going to be able to park at the building every morning they're like sometimes we're going to park in the alley sometimes we're gonna park across the street we didn't have and I'm not even complaining that I'm having my
Starting point is 00:11:36 spot that's like fifth dairy at this point but you don't have your spot you're right I don't and that sucks but that's okay because we're all going through crap we don't have nowhere to park and so it's it's a weird situation and because none of the bosses are here nobody cares because they don't have to deal with it so it's easier for them just to go hey who cares because we're dealing with it what do we do strike Oh, I'm down. You're always down to strike. Let's take another vacation.
Starting point is 00:12:00 Strike. Yeah, yeah. Strike. Strike. Strike. So what's the latest, Scoop Steve, on this? On us moving or what we're doing? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:12:07 Just what's the latest on the whole construction situation. Like, when are they going to be done? Are we moving? Are we going to get our spots back? I don't know. So allegedly, so I still have your sign for your parking space. Once they finish this top garage, which was supposed to be yesterday, they will put your sign back up.
Starting point is 00:12:24 We can park in the top garage. They will. I don't care about that as much. That's not the most important thing to me. I would like for the show to have a safe place to park with consistency every day. Yeah, consistency is unfortunately not what we're dealing with. It's very fluid every day and changes. Lower garage we're supposed to close today because they're doing construction on that. But that just means everyone who's in the lower garage comes to the top garage, which means everyone's parking there. We're on the streets.
Starting point is 00:12:49 We're on the streets, yeah. Or the back garage. Who knew we even had that all these years? So the parking situation is going to be fluid for the next few months. The inside construction, I think they're going to be done with that front lobby in the next month, which will then help with a lot of the sound. Because the stuff upstairs, we don't hear as much. It's more what's going on the walls near us. And then when we're moving in, it's supposed to be 18 months from May of this year.
Starting point is 00:13:14 So it'd be a year and a half. Over a year. Yeah, so basically... Are the engineers even here? We haven't had an engineer since I started here. But there's like one guy back there. I see sometime. Yes, yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:25 Right, because there are a lot of radio. What's he doing? What about the upstairs radio stations? So this is kind of like, I mean, a little bit too much inside baseball. I don't know any of this, so please share. I came from my own secret show. We had two engineers. I came to this show, also, in my opinion, a very similar caliber of a show as far as national
Starting point is 00:13:43 and the reach and money it brings in. And I was so baffled that we didn't have a dedicated engineer here. I was like, how the hell does this show not have one? And a show I came from S2. Well, that's not even what I'm talking about. I love that he's venting on that. I'm venting on that. But then I'm getting into the whole thing about it.
Starting point is 00:13:57 Go ahead. So no matter where you go, there's always going to be an engineer for the local side of things. So even when I was in Los Angeles, we still had a team of engineers. They had a team. They had multiples. Here we had one. We scared that guy off because we were given too much responsibility and never took care of him. He's gone.
Starting point is 00:14:14 And we're all like, holy crap. We scared away the guy that has a playbook to this building. And now we have people that are newer. And nothing against them, they just don't know. what he knew. And so we're kind of just S-O-L. It's like a substitute teacher. Yeah, but again, that wasn't the question. The question is, where did the radio stations go upstairs? They're upstairs. They're still there. Oh, they're still there. Yeah, yeah. I think about engineering. I thought the radio stations had to, if you were upstairs, you had to leave.
Starting point is 00:14:38 No, they're up there. They're actually in a worse situation than us, because they're doing a they're doing construction up there, and everyone's wearing masks, and there's dust everywhere in the air, and they're just walking around willy-nilly. And I'm pretty sure whatever they're moving is probably lethal or not good for your health. They're all dead. You walk up there. Like, this is legit the absolute most disrespectful, disrespectful,
Starting point is 00:15:00 unorganized construction I've seen for our, for, that we deal with. Yeah, I don't. Well, they don't care about us. Hey, hold on. I don't agree with any of this. Mr. Pittman. I just had a couple questions. Wait, who's talking right now?
Starting point is 00:15:10 Is that you, Bobby here? I'm very grateful for everything. I just was wondering answers to questions. I have no, I have nothing bad to say about anything. All hail, I-Hard radio. and the subsidiaries. All right, what's that's good? I'm grateful, too, but I just feel like
Starting point is 00:15:25 this is not been handled properly. It sucks. It really hasn't been. This has been pretty, and the communication between them and us has been almost zero, and it's just like, and I don't want to get mad at the construction people
Starting point is 00:15:34 because they're just trying to do a job. We're just trying to do a job, but it's just not been handled properly. At least they stop for us. That's also pulling teeth to get the stop. We're doing this, and it's like, hey, we need you to get good ratings, but then it's like, there's construction going on.
Starting point is 00:15:46 It's just all of these inconsistencies. So I got you. Hey, look, life goes on, everything getting pretty. I just had questions. Let's take a little to vacate. So I'm happy to be here and work. I'm very grateful for everything. Me too. And Mr. Bressel and Mr. Pittman. It's a beautiful day and it could not be happier to be here.
Starting point is 00:16:03 So there we go. I tried to pay the construction guys a little compliment yesterday and they were like, what are you talking about? I was like, it looks nice, man. The garage looks nice. And they're like, get out of our face. Oh, okay, all right. And I just kept driving. I tried. I guess they don't get a lot of love. But they've also been. I don't think it said get out of my face. No, dude, really. Oh, no. The face was like, what are you talking about?
Starting point is 00:16:20 And I said, the garage, man. Like, it looks really good in here. He's like, oh, okay, thanks, I guess. I got like 10 minutes. Then I got to go to a meeting that Amy can't go to because she's sick. I'll be there via Zoom. Oh. Via.
Starting point is 00:16:32 That's what you've heard. That's what I say. So lunchbox, your vacation. I went to Florida, man. I took the family down to the beach. My wife likes a beach. I'm not a beach person. The beach sucks.
Starting point is 00:16:43 It's hot. It's sandy. I don't really understand the beach. It's hard with little kids because they can't really do much. Then it didn't help that on the sun. second day of vacation. My two-year-old buses had open. And the doctor told him no swimming with staples. So then it's like, what do you do when you're at the beach and you can't swim, really? So we really did a lot of nothing. We did a lot of sitting in the sand, building sand castles
Starting point is 00:17:05 and washing our feet off in the water, then going home and taking naps and then doing it in the afternoon. And then we came home. And it was so exciting to be home. And we still have holes in our roof and it had rains. So we had puddles of water on our floor. So my house is back to that loud fan noise that, uh, that sucks. Yeah. So, I mean, that's my house. This is me sitting on the couch. Yeah, well, my place flooded.
Starting point is 00:17:31 This was all the time. It was hot because they're always running and they are, they generate heat. That's terrible. Is that your fan or is that construction right next to the wall? Sounds the same. Yeah, that's exactly what we're dealing with all the time. So we literally have the TV on full blast to be able to hear it.
Starting point is 00:17:44 It's a miserable. I mean, so yeah, vacation was a blast. Well, and I don't know if this is true. I don't know if they'll do this. this or not, but will the insurance for your roof not cover an Airbnb for you guys if you're not living, if you can't live in your house? Oh, they would, but I mean, we can live in it. I mean, but I mean, if they'll cover it, why not go to another house and stay in an Airbnb that's close? Man, it's just hard with three kids to pack up all that stuff. But it's harder to live a life with
Starting point is 00:18:11 that sound puddles of water. The AC bill probably high because all the air is going out of the roof. My, my AC bill, I just got it. It was double what it was. was the month before. Because of the holes. So he just gave you a solution. I mean, insurance is there for a reason. Yeah? I'm always weird about using it too. Because I'm like, well, if I use it, they're going to probably think I'm... And they're going to drop you. Well, no, they won't drop you because, again, it's there for a reason. That's what worries me. Like, you file a claim. Like, you did a claim dropped. But they see your roof and they... I mean, I see it. I mean, you can see the sun. You can see the rain. You can see the stars.
Starting point is 00:18:44 You can see it all. I sit there and look at the moon. We went to right outside of Page, Arizona. Utah, Arizona border is seven minutes away. And so that's where we were when we were doing all the climbing and stuff. So we stayed at this place, but in the daytime, we did the active stuff. We rode bikes through the, not really mountains. What are those? Like planes? Not planes, because that's flat land.
Starting point is 00:19:10 Canyons? I don't know. It's a desert. Yeah, but they have big rocks. Yes, massive. So we did that in the daytime. We rode bikes through the mountains, and we did hiking. And you know, I used to be a big, I hate hiking,
Starting point is 00:19:28 but I think I just hate hiking on a road in the woods. Because I grew up in the woods, and you're not supposed to hike on the road. It's a difficult thing. But I like hiking if we're somewhere I've never been before. And that was pretty cool. So we hiked through all of that. And then we hiked all the way up to this little place and did some, like,
Starting point is 00:19:44 workout, did some kickboxing stuff. And we did climbing. we climbed up these like you know thousand feet cliffs which is pretty cool and then so that was a few hours in the morning because I like to be active and then we did a lot of pool stuff in the afternoon
Starting point is 00:20:00 laid low yeah so good really good trip the desert's really hot obviously but it ain't as hot as here even though the temperature's higher which is weird outside here you sweat your face off immediately and so I just remember they're like 106 and then you can only do events or activities in the morning
Starting point is 00:20:18 with a guide like 7 a.m. to 11 because then they shut it down because people would go and get hot and they started getting at like 5 p.m. I was like this is nothing. You guys should come to Nashville, Tennessee. It's hot. Music City USA. But it's awesome. The weirdest part about it was Arizona does not change their time at all. They stay on one time zone. And Utah, we landed in Arizona and we're like, again, all the way full in 20 minutes away from that, spot we landed in Arizona. And Utah's a different time zone than Arizona. And so, but they stay on Arizona time at this place we were staying, even though our iPhones flipped to Utah time. Wow, that's confusing. Yes. So we would see a time on our phone or everything, but that's not the right time,
Starting point is 00:21:03 because they go by Arizona time. So it is a whole situation with the time, but it's really great. And, you know, I don't usually like vacation, but I had a really good time. And I think it's just what you do and who you do it with. Next time, I'm just going to find four random kids and go. I was like, that's... Oh, man, it's exhausting. You can take mine. Super rested. Yeah, I go to all that.
Starting point is 00:21:23 He might come back sick. You can't exercise your way out of a bad diet. Really? Yes. And I used to think you could, but I guess five or six years ago, once the science came out that, heck, if you just eat well and don't exercise,
Starting point is 00:21:37 that's better than eating pretty poorly and exercising all the time. Like, if you had to pick one, don't exercise and eat perfect. Then work out all the time and eat badly. But what I don't understand is, read these like stories of the rock eating like 10 cheese burgers and all that like and then he looks like the rock because he works out well but he's not eating he's not eating 10 cheese burgers and all
Starting point is 00:22:00 the bad stuff with it i'm sure he's eating really lean beef i'm sure that the cheese and the bread is part of a cheat day because mostly eats fish when you hear the rocky it's like 84 salmon and yeah like 50 fish and he catches him with his hand uh but new research reveals that being active won't save you from a bad diet. A study looked at the diets and exercise patterns of more than 360,000 adults over 11 years to see if you could outrun a bad diet and you just can't. So if you eat bad, it's almost impossible to be... But you know, genetics generally are a big part of it too. Yeah. So we're talking about just universally for folks that don't have great genetics because I have some friends that can eat garbage and they are just
Starting point is 00:22:42 shredded and eventually it'll catch up to them, but we're all built differently. I have some friends that can eat really, really, really clean and perfect, and it doesn't do as, even if they work out, their body just doesn't react as well. Thyroid issue. So what I'm saying is the average person, which is us, you got to eat right first, and then also exercise. If you want to, like, look like that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:06 But exercise is important, though, more than just how you look. It's like keeping your muscles and your joints and all that stuff going. You mean healthy, too. So, you live longer. Physically, yeah.
