Yeah, welcome to Thursday show.
Good morning.
Yeah.
Yesterday.
we're talking about how new brides, meaning today, they don't want to do the bouquet toss because
they don't want the attention being on anybody else, meaning the person who catches the bouquet.
So we're talking about that, and people were leaving comments, and so I got a hold of Kara who made
a comment.
Hey, Kara.
Hey, what do you think about this bouquet toss?
Well, I was thinking, I'm not going to throw the bouquet at my wedding, not because I'm selfish
and wanted to be all about me.
but the last wedding I was at
I was in my early 20s and the only other girls
that were going up to catch the bouquet
were five and six years old and it was embarrassing
What do you mean so only kids
were trying to catch it?
Well I was like the only single girl
Oh I got it
So it brings back pain from your life
Yeah so I think it's embarrassing
And I want to keep mine and save it
Can you throw it and then ask for it back
Because this isn't only ceremonial
That they catch it?
I don't know. So you're getting married a second time?
I don't think they give it back. I think if you throw it, it's gone.
Oh, is it? Well, listen, I never been married. I've tried to catch the garter before.
That's what happens. Oh, for the guys. Yeah. She throws the garter over, or he does or something.
And then everybody fights for it. But I always feel kind of creepy that I'm trying to still his wife's underwear.
Like, that's always a thing. I'm like, why don't want to? Like, maybe I do want to, but I can't let that be known. You know what I mean?
I get it. Yeah. Hey, what are you doing today, Kara?
work right now a few minutes away
so I got to go but
okay
okay care thank you
see you later
appreciate you
don't be late
don't be late
that's the first time
we got ran for work
hey Bobby
appreciate the call
but I gotta go
yeah appreciate you
the Bobby Bones
show
Bobby Bones
and that's how I got
this scar
we're gonna play that game
we go around the room
tell where your scar is
and how you got it
and to start our segment
some nice game show
music from the 70s.
Here we go.
Amy, hashtag, and that's how I got this scar.
So I have a scar on my forehead.
Most people notice it and asked me, how did you get that scar?
And I had a babysitter.
We were playing high and go seek.
But I also had just started playing softball and was learning how to slide into bases.
So my parents' brass bed with big, like, metal screws coming out of it was bass.
And I decided to slide head first.
And my arms went through the bed and my head hit a screw.
And I busted my head.
open how to go to the hospital, get stitches with a babysitter.
And that's how I got this scar.
And that's how I got this scar.
I have a scar that runs from my sternum down to right below my belt line.
And I had my spleen taken out.
I fell off a house onto a boat trailer.
A few more hours out of drown internally in my own blood.
Blah, blah, blah, yada, yada, yada.
At the end, I'm here living.
But that was pretty dramatic.
And that's how I got the still really big scar that goes right through my belly button.
I only have half a belly button.
And that's how I got the scar.
Lunchbox?
On my stomach on both sides of my belly button.
I was out with Josh, Kamika, and Jennifer.
We were doing some fake fighting in front of my house where we act like we're jumping somebody.
And we run off and leave them.
Well, the law enforcement showed up.
So we went sprinting and I couldn't open the gate.
So I dove head first over the fence and scraped my whole stomach on the top of the fence.
And that's how I got my scar.
This could be a TV show.
Where you show your scar?
Yeah.
Bobby bones.com.
Amy got pulled over this morning on the way to work.
Oh.
They thought she was drunk.
Yeah.
I mean, I'm pretty sure he was like, okay, what's up?
You on your way home from the clubs?
I'm like, no, I'm on my way to work.
First of all, I think Amy's giving yourself a little too much credit.
Are you on your way home from the clubs?
Because you're such a club looking.
Go ahead.
I know.
I have my...
You're in your turtleneck.
Sweater on.
Go ahead, club girl.
Yeah.
So next thing you know, I'm getting pulled over and I'm thinking what in the, why am I getting pulled over right now?
So I get over and I realize that it's because my lights weren't on.
Whoopsie.
But my son, I guess, was playing with my car.
Like he was roaming around in my car and he had switched a little knob from auto to where you had to turn your lights on.
And normally I just start my car and my lights are on.
And he had turned the interior lights on.
So those being on while I was driving kept me from realizing that my.
headlights weren't on. How did you not turn your lights inside off when you started driving?
Because then too late I was driving and they were already on and I would have to pull over.
I didn't even have time for that. So at a red light, I decided to put my car apart and reach back and do that.
And that's when I realized all kinds of things and the light turned green. He realized I wasn't going.
This is why I think he thought I was drinking. Oh my goodness.
And then I thought when he was pulling me over, I didn't really think it was for me and then pull over right away.
Oh, my goodness. Wow.
I didn't get a ticket, though.
And then I started going 90 because I wanted to get out of his way.
So I went super fast.
He was young and cool and super nice.
He said, where do you work?
Oh, you dropped the name?
No, I never.
Lunchbox went read to kids.
First graders?
Yes, first graders.
And so this is Lunchbox reading in a class of first graders.
Are you reading Dr. Seuss?
Yeah.
My father can read big words too, like Constanople.
Constitano.
No, that's not it.
Hold on.
Constantinople.
Constantinople?
Isn't it Constantinople?
Is that what it is?
I don't know how to say it.
Oh, you never got to it.
I just kind of said, that's it, whatever.
We'll move on.
I don't know.
And Timbuk, too.
Oh, no, that's not in red.
Hold on.
Red.
Red, Ned.
That's called heckling.
You're being heckled by first graders, dude.
Ted and Ed in bed.
Huh.
I do think.
that this is good that they brought me this audio
because I know you really didn't care to have it up
because lunchbox goes and does nice things
and then he doesn't want us to know about it
because, you know, he's tough. He's tough lunchbox.
He's a man. He doesn't do stuff like this.
But Eddie went with him
and recorded this. Don't worry, guys.
I'll let you know the real lunchbox is out there.
Cup, pop, pop and cup.
Pop, cup. Oh, my goodness.
What's he saying?
Come on.
Cup, pop, pop, pop in cup.
Pub cup
struggling, huh?
Man, it is just so dumb.
What is?
They just make it so confusing
to make you look like a fool
to these kids.
They give me the hardest book.
Those words didn't sound hard.
It did sound little repetitive.
Yeah, but they switch it up
pup, cup, cup, pup, pup, pup, cup,
on top of cup.
I mean, ugh.
But weren't you reading it
and not memorizing it?
Yeah, but I was trying to do it
dramatically for the kids
and act it out
and then they put a big word in there
like Constantinople.
Constantinople, yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
How did I do?
Bad.
Oh, bad.
They said bad?
Oh, wow.
How did I do?
Do you guys think lunchbox is a good reader?
No.
No.
That's funny.
I still think it's all about the effort.
E for, E for effort.
Yeah.
How did you do?
Bad.
I was reading the story about this job.
It says, would you be able to clean up crime?
up crime scenes for a living because they have this family business.
It's called Certitude Cleaning Services.
This family does it and they go to crime scenes and clean up all this stuff.
Traumatic cleanup.
And you make about 65 grand a year doing crime scene cleanups.
What do you think, lunch, no chance.
No chance.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
Maybe for a million dollars I could do that.
But for no way would I go to a crime scene and be wiping up the blood and the,
Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
Chris, hello in Ohio.
Yes, sir.
You do this?
Yes, sir.
I'm actually on my way to one right now.
So you're a crime scene technician?
Yes, sir.
Now, without I getting too into the grossness here,
if there's an awful crime,
are you on the cop speed dial as the guy to call
to be the cleaner upper?
Actually, a third party.
So we get contracted out,
And we do get called in to come clean up.
And that's not weird to you?
Well, I actually served four years in the Marine Corps, so...
Oh, man, so you got introduced to it that way, huh?
I got the stomach.
So is it a stomach you had to develop?
Meaning the first time you saw it is probably pretty bad,
and then just more and more you got to be, well, I can handle this.
Yeah, your feelings just aren't into it.
Does that make sense?
Is it a pretty good living?
It's not bad.
Does it depress you?
Because I would just think me doing that as a career, I would be so down all the time.
It depends on the scenario or situation, I would guess.
Are you married?
Because I would wonder if someone's with you, if you're single, like, what do you do?
I clean up crime next.
Like, you for sure, I can get no tender matches on that one, you know?
I am married with three kids.
And what do you tell your kids you do?
I just tell them I clean houses.
Man
I don't want them to have that in their head
At that young of the age
Yeah
That's crazy
Well, I'm even gonna ask you about
Exactly what you're doing
But I appreciate you calling the show
Not a problem, thank you sir
Amy would you do it
I don't think I could do it
A hundred thousand dollars a year
Oh
It's a lot of money
It's a lot of money
I just don't think I could
That would just be too much
For me to take home every day
I think eventually I could
You think so?
I do now that I think about it
Oh it makes me sad just thinking about it
No one's happy about it
I know.
No one goes, that's a job.
I want.
Somebody's got to do it.
Yeah, he tells his kids they have to clean houses.
Oh, that's a sad part.
Yeah, well, I saw that.
That's weird.
He called in because I just read about a family business where that's what they do and that's what they make.
There's a movie, too, called Sunshine Cleaning.
That's what it's about.
It's what it's about.
It's time for the good news.
Yeah, how makes something good.
Guy gets online.
He buys a cabinet for his kitchen.
Second-hand cabinet, he gets he's super pumped about it because it matches what he was looking for.
And he opens it up and he finds $100,000 in cash.
inside of it.
Oh, yes.
His name's Samuel,
and they discovered
in this new cupboard-type
cabinet, $107,000.
And so it was there.
They pulled it out.
They're like, well,
I'm probably going to keep this now.
And they went to sleep.
And they couldn't sleep all night
because that wasn't their money.
So they returned the money.
He drove from where they live
to where the owner of the furniture
store that they ordered it from lived.
And the owner said the cabinet
it had belonged to his recently deceased
father had no idea about the money.
The thankful man rewarded them
for their honesty. I don't know how much you gave
them. Oh, I was I say, $10,000?
You know what? That's a lot.
I don't know if that's the case.
I mean, or $20,000, you've got a tip 20%.
He's not a waiter, but
what would you do lunchbox in the situation? Oh, I would
have kept that money and put it in my bank account
or hit it under the mattress, one of the two.
I'm always afraid that's drug money.
So, integrity aside,
because I would have returned it anyway.
because my heart would have thought something's up.
That's somebody's house payment or somebody's house.
I'd have been like, what if L Chopo statute before his trial?
You know what I mean?
Yeah, so good for him.
That's what it's all about.
That's good.
Yeah, that's what's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
Lobby Bones Show.
Bonehead.
Norrie up the day.
This story comes to us from Carrollton, Michigan.
A police chief was responding to a call about breaking and entering.
He gets out of his car, pulls the gun out of the holster, and he's walking up to the house.
Uh-oh.
slips on the ice and boom
shoots himself in the foot
that's funny
I also feel bad for him because I've slipped on ice
and there's a sense of I don't control anything in my life
as soon as you start slipping
Oh yeah
And this knucklehead's already
Oh I'm lunchbox
That's your bonehead story of the day
Getting a good night's sleep is important to you as it is
To me there's nothing worse than those random nighttime noises
That can keep you awake
Someone snoring nearby
Or late night road work
or the dog in the backyard next door barking.
Listen.
The good folks at Bose, feel your pain.
I have these.
I love these.
You know Bose as the leader in noise-canceling headphones.
Now they've developed a unique innovation
that covers irritating nighttime noises
in a new way with soothing sounds.
All you have to do is choose a preloaded sound of your choice.
Put in Bose tiny, snug-fitting sleep buds.
They're no ordinary sleep buds, by the way.
They combine aspects of passive noise reduction
with active noise masking.
Not only do they block.
ambient noise from reaching your eardrums.
They put out a little general repetitive sounds,
both soothing and they're going to knock out some distractions.
The point is you get better sleep with fewer disruptions.
I love them.
If you want to learn more, go to Bose.com
or try them at a Bose store near you.
They're both sleep buds.
I use them.
There's also an alarm inside of them.
Also available at Best Buy in Amazon.
Folks, it's your buddy and mine.
Mr. Bobby Bones.
Let's go.
Transmitting across America.
This is the Bobby Boll.
Betty's worried because his kids are starting to like hip hop.
Oh, what's wrong with that?
Guys plan.
Well, with hip hop comes a little different kind of lingo and conversations.
You talking about bad words?
Yeah, and the stuff that they talk about.
Like, I'm twisted.
Like, I'm kind of torn because I feel happy that they're expanding in their music taste.
Like, this is a jam.
I get it.
But, I mean, they're going to start liking this.
and then junior, my 10-year-old
is going to start looking into other hip-hop artists
and sometimes they get kind of nasty.
But they have clean versions.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And also, what about country music?
They talk about drinking all the time.
They talk about getting high.
They talk about all kinds of stuff.
Yeah, but hip-hop's not so secretive
or, like, they don't use those innuendos.
This is like straight up, like, we're just rolling.
You know what I'm saying?
And so I'm torn because I'm like, cool, respect.
My kids, like, likes music.
But, like, 10 years old, like,
He's like starting to look at Drake and starting to research Drake's songs now.
And I'm like, oh boy, just stay away from that 69 guy.
Like, you know what I mean?
Oh, so he has free reign on the internet?
He has, so he has like the Iheart radio app where he gets to choose his music and he has his playlists.
Can you pick bad word songs?
Well, we've said it to clean.
But you know what I'm saying?
Like, it's not that they're saying the actual bad word.
It's what they're talking about.
You have to let him get in hip-hop.
So like if you're a kid-
You can't shut down his, you're not rushing.
No, I just thought I was doing good because he knows all about the Beatles and the Beach Boys.
And then he just kind of threw me for a loop with like, Dad, have you heard that Drake song, God's Plan?
God's Plan.
And I'm like, God's Plan.
I hope that sometimes I won't.
Any next thing you know, he's going to be walking around like, run down the street.
Whoa.
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
I mean.
Like, okay, maybe I sound a little like old school.
You sound like an old grandpa.
I'm a concerned parent.
I had similar thoughts with 50 cent candy shop.
Tell me about that one.
So my kids were like, I'm ticket to the candy shop.
And I'm like, oh my goodness.
But I mean, they think it's the candy shop.
No, I get it.
I'm okay with that.
Like, they're like, mom's to the candy shop.
I'm going to get what I get.
I mean, if you listen to the lyrics to that, it's awful.
But we were all listening to that.
I know.
I mean, I just worry.
Like, this is him growing, and I like that he's growing into himself.
and what he likes, but at the same time,
I've got to be, like, just careful with what
he's listening to.
The Bobby Bones show, Bobby Bones.
Watching your Insta stories, Amy,
and I guess you took the kids to, like,
a trampoline park? Yes.
And you didn't get hurt.
No. I've jumped. I'm a little sore.
Yeah, are you?
Yeah. But, and there was times
where I got a little scared. Like, I got,
maybe, you know, you just get excited
and you start doing everything, and then, you're
like, oh, I probably shouldn't do that.
So the trampoline park is all these trampolines.
One time, Lunchbox's wife, like, broke her ankle.
We were there for four jumps.
Four jumps, and she landed on, like, the metal part in between the two squares.
Yeah, there's spacers.
And there goes her ankle, and she's down.
And I looked at my bunny, I said, is she being for real right now?
Like, it took us longer to fill out the waiver form.
Then we got to jump on the jumping trampolines.
And so I had to carry her out to the car and take her.
home and everybody else stayed and had a good old time.
They stayed like, oh, we played dodgeball.
We played basketball because they have hoops in certain areas.
And I had to go after four jumps.
Yeah, but why you not get starting about her?
She broke her ankle.
She ruined his party.
I could not believe it.
How old were you?
We're...
This was like last year.
Oh, you were a kid.
30, maybe?
Yeah.
So six years ago, how do you do it?
Four.
I mean, I just, I could not, and I was like, okay, she can just sit out and I can jump.
Oh, even hurt.
Yes, but her ankle swelled up pretty bad.
It was real bad.
She did some damage, and, I mean, we've never gone back either.
She won't go back.
Four jumps.
I was watching your ancestry, and I saw your husband swinging Amy into the foam pit.
Yeah, they have this, like, awesome swing thing, and you jump into this pit of foam that you know is just germ-filled and disgusting.
I got pushed into it.
I didn't even want to jump into that.
I wanted to do the little trapeze thing,
but I didn't want to land in the nasty phone,
but I got pushed in and I was like,
oh, this is so gross.
Yeah, for sure.
You're just jumping right into the flu.
Just swing.
Could you swing and then you fall off into the phone field?
Yes.
It does look fun.
But the trample, all that stuff's gross.
Just kids' hands, right?
Are you immune yet?
Well, they give you special socks to jump in that are yours to keep.
Yeah, I'm talking about hands, though.
Oh, I didn't like jump on my hands.
No, you touch things.
That is true.
I mean, you just need to like take sanitizer and just go in knowing if you get sick, you get sick.
But you're not hurt.
No, I'm shocked.
So are we.
Yeah, we're all that shocked.
Get your bobby bones on.
I always wonder how you guys feel about signs from above.
Like you ever go, oh, that's a sign I should do this.
Yeah.
Because how I feel is.
is if we're looking for a sign, we're going to find it.
If I'm looking for a sign to do Action A, I'm going to look hard enough to find that sign.
But what if you're not looking and then it's just boom in front of your face.
Obviously, this is about Amy.
That's what I'm leading into over here.
So tell them what happened.
Because I was just having a not-so-great parenting day, not feeling really awesome about my parenting skills, if you will.
I just kept failing left and right.
And then as I'm feeling the lowest of low, I pull up to a red light and the car to the right of me,
has a magnetic sign on their door that says parenting coach.
www.
www.parentingcoach.org, Linda Ray Miller.
And I'm like, Linda, is this a sign?
I mean, I don't know Linda, but she's sitting next to me in this car.
I took a picture.
I haven't on my phone.
I haven't done anything with it.
I don't know if I should go to the website, get the number, call Linda.
But it just felt like, am I missing this opportunity to enhance it?
my parenting skills via Linda.
Eddie, yes.
Amy, I hate to ran on your parade,
but what if this is that targeting marketing
that people talk about
where they know who you are
and what you're going to do?
It's like Instagram feed of cards.
Yes.
The live version.
Yes.
So, do you think you need parent coaching?
Maybe.
Are you considering calling her?
I mean, that's what I'm asking.
Mostly I'm curious how much she charges.
Yeah.
I mean, I guess I could call to find out.
Make some money.
Yeah.
I could definitely look into it.
Call.
I'm curious to know.
Okay.
And I just wonder what her whole, like, her old spiel is.
Like, here's why you should hire me.
Like, here's what I have to offer you.
And does she come into the home?
And does she...
Does she wear a whistle?
Out of here.
Like a coach?
No, but I mean, I would be into that.
And, oh, look.
I mean, her website's, like, super cute.
Oh.
Do you believe that Jesus sent that sign to Amy?
Yes.
Yeah.
See?
Told you?
Possibly, yeah.
Told you.
See, it's like that guy that's in the flood.
And he was praying for God to rescue him.
No, that's a joke.
That's a joke.
It's a joke.
It's a joke.
that I tell from Jerry Clower.
I know it's a joke. You're not even telling her right, so I'm not going to let you disgrace it.
Signs happen.
Have you ever had a sign?
No.
Yeah, your grandma one time knocked over that guitar.
I think what we're searching for we find.
I think regardless, if I'm looking for a sign for something, I can find it.
And then your mom locked you in that room.
Right.
Now, is that true?
And my mom had died too.
I know.
Or my dog dumped all his ashes on me.
They exploded on my car.
Do I think it's a sign or am I just an idiot in all those instances?
Probably the second one.
But I don't think it's not true
I just for me, no, if I'm looking for a sign or something, I'm going to
find it. I wasn't looking. I was just...
I had a sign in college. I finally got
organized because everybody tells me I'm so unorganized
and I got a planner and I wrote
down every day I had to work because I had two jobs
over the summer and I had it in my car
someone broke in and stole the planner. That was
God tell me you're not supposed to be organized.
Okay. See where this goes?
This is my logic. There we go.
Bobbybones.com.
See if you can name the song by one second of a name?
Yeah. See if you can name this song right here.
One second of it.
Most people are good
Yeah, there you go
Okay, let's just go around real quick
Well, this is hard
Is it?
It's a tough one
I mean, I don't know
That's a full, you're only getting
One second of the song
For a second
Okay, that one doesn't count as a point
You ready for this one, Amy?
Amy, song number one, one second of it
It shades on the back
One, let me, baby
What?
Interesting
Windows back
While around me, baby
Pour it on easy now
Just chilling it
Coles Wendell
Chillin, I'm sorry
I can't
I already hit the buzzer anyway
She got there though
She sang the whole song
I did say the three minutes
Yeah from one second
I got all that though
No point for you
Lunchbox
Yeah
Name the song one second of it
There you go
One second of it
You can't get irritated
Yeah stop
Go ahead
It's so sad
Three seconds?
Cruising.
Cruising.
I know it's not it, but I'm coming home.
So close.
Eddie, you get one second of the song.
And I can get one point right now.
That's right.
Take the lead.
Come on.
Ready?
Here it again.
One second.
That's it.
There you go.
Yeah.
My kind of party.
Oh, no, small town boy.
She loves a small town boy like me.
I'm gonna tell you this game does not seem hard to me because I'm looking at the answers.
Yeah, it's tricky.
But I think I'd be really good at it.
Okay, I'm ready.
Yeah.
You get one second.
I have to pretend this is for somebody else because then I know it.
Okay, sure.
Whatever he takes you.
Here you go.
Whoa, that's amazing.
I love that one.
That one's a home run.
Come on, Amy.
You want to hear it again?
One second of the song.
Come on, Amy.
It's like a blinker or something.
Is it?
Or a TikTok.
We know it's a TikTok.
Go ahead.
I'm father of time.
Father, Jude.
Father, Doug.
Amy.
What?
Eddie, I know you know it.
Yeah, I do know it.
Okay, so it's got to be something,
is it a little bit different,
it's not current country?
Just play it and you sing it.
Okay, ready?
Here you go.
Take a seat.
Zappa da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da.
Come on, hear me.
Come on.
I'm losing my mind just a little.
Do you hear it now?
One of the biggest songs this year.
Yes, of course I hear it now.
Morgan number two, do you know that one?
I knew that one.
Lunchbox, do you know that one?
No.
Okay, thank you.
I never bashed you.
I was like, man, that's a tough one.
Lunchbox ready?
Yeah.
One second out of the song.
Come on.
You got this one.
Everybody knows it when it's not their turn.
I know.
Oh, that's tequila.
Yes!
Yes!
Yes!
Eddie, you gotta have this to tie?
Amy, you've been eliminated.
Eddie to tie.
He got so lucky with that, I guess.
Okay, all right.
Ready?
No pressure.
Got it.
You want to hear it again?
No, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Go ahead.
Dirt on my boots.
Oh, it's on, LV.
Sudden death.
Oh.
Write your answer down.
Oh, right my answer down.
lunchbox. They're at it.
I'm shaking. Here we go. I'm not shaking. I'm confident.
I want this win so bad. Song number
one. Write them down. Here we go.
There you go. Hit it again.
Eddie's just writing to make noise over there.
It's a long title lunchbox. Yeah, it's a long
one. Got it.
You know it lunch. Hey, Amy.
Amy's reading his Eddie. Eddie's the villain
in games now. Because I always win.
Hit it again. You guys have to be quiet.
Oh, sorry.
What song is that?
I think I got that
He's stressing
No, there's no stress in my breath
I've only mentioned it seven times
But that's what's to rhyme
Oh you have?
Yeah, yeah
Oh no
Then I got it wrong
Lunchbox, what do you think it is?
The dance
I don't think that's a terrible guess
Why not it?
I don't think it's a terrible
Good boy I just get him
Okay
The fact that he got the name of a song
Oh
Eddie for the win
Are you ready bones
Yeah
Mercy
If you're gonna break my
We're a young verse here.
There's our winner.
There he is.
I'll clap for you.
Yeah.
There you go.
Eddie.
You want a limousaliened.
Eddie, this is a tough one, Eddie.
Eddie, this is a tough one.
Eddie, this is a tough one.
It's only for the winner.
Oh.
Sugar Land.
Oh, okay.
Stuck like blue.
Nope, it's babe.
Nope, nope.
Dear mom and dad, please send money.
Oh, what is it?
It's all I want to do.
All I want to do.
There he is.
Give this guy a piece of candy.
Yeah.
A piece of candy.
It's so sweet.
It's so sweet.
Bobby Bones.
It's time for the good news.
With Amy.
Tell me something good.
After waiting in line, days to buy Hamilton tickets, a woman realized she was $20 short.
This is something that she and her daughter had their heart set on.
They'd been saving up and they were paying cash for the tickets.
Boom, $20 short.
In line, four days.
Well, a police officer that was standing close by overheard what was happening didn't want her to lose her chance to see the Broadway musical Hamilton.
Spotter 20.
That's good.
I like that.
Shout out.
Also, I saw Hamilton.
It's a fantastic.
thing to see. I didn't get it at first. I was like,
they never talk. They just sing the whole time. I didn't know that.
I kept waiting for the talking, but I'm not that cultured,
but that's a good story.
It might be nice
to get Hamilton on your side. Talk less.
Smile more.
I mean, it really is the story about how America
became America and how I didn't know
this, how we loaned, we were able
to borrow money from people
and they didn't allow us to go bankrupt.
They took care of the country because if somebody
owes you money, you take care of them because you need your money back.
Wow.
So what he figured out was, basically, if I can break it down, was why don't we borrow money from a bunch of other countries?
And they'll make sure that we don't go out of business as a country because we owe them money.
Wow.
Oh, he didn't know that.
He was 100 years ahead of his time.
It was amazing, an amazing story, like an amazing story of America.
And there's a lot of singing and rapping and stuff.
Because he was America's treasurer, right?
Come on.
Okay, right.
All right.
Come on.
Wow, dude.
That's crazy.
I didn't know that.
I want to see it.
And I never thought about it from that angle.
Like, if you borrow money from something.
Like Eddie, if you borrowed $100 for me.
Correct.
I'd watch your health.
I'd be like, you need to eat healthy, buddy.
I didn't get that money back.
Yeah.
But isn't that cool?
That's cool.
Really cool.
And the story's good, and that's what's all about right there.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
Folks, it's your buddy and mine.
Mr. Bobby Bones.
Let me go.
This is the Bobby Bones show.
That's right.
All right.
All right.
All right.
All right.
Hit it same.
The morning.
Morning Corny.
Why did the electrician stay up all night?
Hmm.
Why did the electrician stay up all night?
She was wired.
Right, there it is.
Come on.
That was the morning corny.
Hey, Gator, station PD guy.
Have you ever seen the shocker in action?
No, it's actually why I'm in here just to make sure if I need to testify.
No, there's no testifying.
You just came for the games.
Let the games begin.
Oh, boy.
The worst game.
No, no, no.
The listeners have requested this back.
This is not me going.
Have they?
Yes.
I was talking to a lot of them yesterday.
And they're like, hey, Bobby.
I was like, what's up?
Listeners.
They're like, bring back to Shocker.
I was like, you got it.
So this is a dog shot call that I'm meant for dogs over 100 pounds.
And I'll say it again.
From the bottom of my heart, I would never put this on a dog.
Just us.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, just all of us.
So here's the shot.
Let's see if we can hear it shock.
Ready?
Oh, I hear that.
Pulse through.
Okay, so lunchbox will stretch.
He's dropped this on his neck.
Here you go, buddy.
And he has chosen, since he went first, his own category.
When you hear me the thing?
Oh my gosh.
Which is U.S. President trivia.
Easy style.
No, no, here's the problem.
You gave three categories that are definitely not.
Would you let me talk?
They're not in my wheelhouse.
No.
What would have been in your wheelhouse?
Oh, reality TV?
Real World Season 4 trivia.
Like Eddie's good at all those.
The Puff.
Oh, thanks, man.
Music?
Yeah, music.
Exactly.
But he knows presidents for some reason, and he sent a song in Mount Planets.
He knows the presidents of our country
So five questions
Crap
And make sure the dog shock collar
You got it on there
Make sure it's touching skin
He's not gonna hurt you
It is
I can see the skin indented
You can see this
I see it
Yeah I see about it
So what happens
Don't do it no don't I've not missed
Once you cannot shock me
That is the game
Do not do that
Okay relax
Okay it works
I just want to do it
When he wasn't expecting
Bobby that was not nice
You have to do it to see if it's working
When he's not expecting
No because I felt it
Okay here we go
Question.
You already throwing me off my game.
What level is it at?
No, don't it's at 8.
Oh, it's at 8.
Eddie, Eddie.
Go to 10.
No.
Go to 10.
No, we've never done 10 in the history of the show.
You do realize.
Hey, the show gets bigger.
Yeah.
Eddie, you just upped it to 10 for yourself, BTW.
Which, have you ever done this?
No, yes, I have.
Okay.
Lunchbox is wearing a dog shot collar.
Question number one.
What president is Donald Trump?
What number president is Donald Trump?
What number president is Donald Trump?
Trump.
45.
Boom!
Take that.
Eat that.
Hey Eddie.
Hey Eddie, what's that laugh?
I'm eating it.
Yeah.
That laugh was pretty sarcastic.
One down.
One down.
Dynamite.
One down, dynamite.
One down, four to go.
Yeah, now I'm scared though, because that was the only one I had.
Question number two.
Who is the first president to live in the White House?
What?
Who is the first president to live?
in the White House.
I have the
button in my hand.
Haven't they all lived in the White House?
That's up to you to guess.
You think they had that thing ready to go?
Day one.
First President.
Well, I thought they would have that ready
for whoever moved in, but it has to be
that guy.
JFK.
JFK.
JFK, he says.
Is that like?
Is that like?
Is he a president?
Like, I don't know what the answer is, but I know that's not right.
Listen, the shocker eliminates all the ability to think rationally.
I don't know.
Was Trump K. President?
He was a president.
Yeah, okay, so that's not a bad answer.
It is a bad answer, though.
Why?
So the answer is John Adams, the second president.
Oh, come on.
Now, I will shock you on the count of three.
Oh, my goodness.
One, two, three.
It didn't happen.
Okay.
All right, one down.
No, it's two down.
I feel for you right now.
Because I got one right.
Okay, that was a good question, Boone.
Very easy.
No, that was a trick question.
No, that's a trick question.
No, we're doing very easy, President's Tribune.
Question number three.
Who is the president during the Civil War?
Oh, that's easy.
I have the button in my end, pointed at you.
We're all on the edge of the question.
Are you sure?
Yes.
Yeah.
He gave the emancipation
pocamation.
I know it.
Massivated proclamation.
Dude, I'm telling you, you get so nervous with that thing I knew that.
I know.
Yeah.
The answer is, Abraham.
Yeah!
See, I knew it.
I knew it.
Oh, you know what I know also?
Kindergarten cop.
Why?
Why?
Four scores seven years ago.
Okay.
All right.
Thank you, honest Dave.
Ready.
You have two questions left.
He's a tall dude.
Lunchbox is wearing the dog shot collar around his neck.
Oh, boy.
Who we got?
What president?
Yeah.
It's on the $20 bill.
You love money.
You do love money.
Show me Lincoln.
Show him Lincoln, he said.
Yeah.
You think I would go two for two in Lincoln, Lincoln, you?
Oh, wait, I didn't say that.
You did say that.
No, no, no.
No, no.
Would you like to double your time?
No, I'd like to change my answer, though.
No, no, you can change your answer, but if you miss it again, you double your time.
Otherwise, you just take your shot.
You missed it.
I was still stuck on the emancipation one.
Yeah.
Would you like to change your answer, or just take your shot?
Let me think about that
I've got some $20 bill
Would you like to change your answer
Or take your shot
Go with your gut lunch
I'll go with my gut
Okay and
I think who's on it
It's saying I'm hungry
Just shot me because I don't know
Here comes the dog shot caller
Come on three
Can I just do this?
Can I wait
Oh there goes
There goes there goes
Okay
Was it Washington? No
Okay good
That's why I didn't know.
It was Andrew Jackson.
Oh, Jackson, that's my boy.
You know what president he was?
Somebody's...
Amy shooting into the stories during this show.
Sorry, had to get a video.
Last one, folks.
This one's for the car.
And this one's worth five seconds of shot.
No, no, no.
The last one.
Who had the nickname Trickey Dick?
What?
Tricky Dick?
What president had the nickname Tricy Dick?
Come on.
Tricky Dick?
Yes.
Oh, oh.
What president was called Tricky Dick?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
No, he's a vice president.
Go ahead.
It's not Dick Cheney.
He's like,
This is great.
He's wearing a dogshot collar, Tricky Dick.
No one has ever said that in their life.
Tricky Dick.
Yep.
The only person...
What president was called Tricky Dick.
The only guy I know that was a president that was Tricky Dick.
That could have been tricky dick.
Yeah, go ahead.
Had to be Richard Nixon.
You say Richard Nixon.
Is that right?
Are you ready?
Are you ready?
No, wait, wait.
What's the answer then?
Tricky.
Do you want to change it or no?
No, I don't because that's the only dick I know.
Richard, you aren't correct.
Yes!
Yes!
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Oh my goodness!
What up!
That's how you bring it!
That's how you bring it, folks.
There it is.
That big shot call.
Taking it down today, baby.
Live Boy, Lunchbox.
Good work.
Let's go.
Yeah.
Bones.com.
Ramundo, who sits in the glassroom, and what he does,
is he edits audio all day.
I cut commercials, all the things that you hear on the show, all the clips of songs.
Like, that's what he does.
He's cutting, cutting, cutting.
And so he comes to me and he says, hey, you know what the listeners want?
I said, no, what do the listeners want?
Usually what they call for and what they're asking, they say, more talk, less music.
Okay.
And so what do you then propose?
Thing that came to me was, why don't we speed up the songs?
Logical.
So, have you sped up some songs to hear?
Yeah, I have some examples.
how it would sound in the morning when you're listening to these songs sped up.
So that means if the song was sped up, there's more time for us to be able to talk.
Yeah, you're going to have 30 seconds to a minute more every segment to talk,
explain about your life, and have fun on the air.
Okay, so what is the first song I have up here is, I was Jack, you were Diane.
Okay, so this is a song if you're not familiar with it.
Now, if we're doing the show, you'd rather it sound like...
Drive a dead man.
It makes me want to talk faster.
How much time does that shave off?
Well, that one right there in particular is going to shave off 20 seconds for the whole song.
Then I've sped up others even faster, so it's going to give you probably two minutes more a segment.
Wow.
Okay.
You know this song from Keith Urban?
Yes.
Okay, Reyes sped this one up here.
How much time does this show off?
People are going to be driving your kids in such a hurry.
The speeding tickets are just flying up.
Not to mention Keith Urban might not like that.
But even like, yeah, I mean, think of how much more content we could cover if we all just bit up our talking.
That's true, too.
No, if she's doing that, there's a bit more.
We can talk about more.
Kenny Chesney, get along.
Speed this one up?
Yeah, it's got to be trimmed up.
Speed it up.
That way we can talk more.
Get along.
Down the road.
We got it all long and go.
Skip, little, tip.
We ain't perfect while we try.
Get along.
We get along the upper hand.
Make a walk.
Learned dance.
Come on.
I broke.
Bye, bye, bye, bye, bye.
Get along.
Get along.
You're long, you're long, you're long, you're funny.
What about the slow songs are like mercy?
Like, this may be tough.
It can still be done.
So a slow song like Brett Young Mercy, we could speed it up.
It's going to sound a little different.
It's going to bring my heart to parade.
It's like technical.
You may have the mark to make, make this.
If you ever love me, have mercy.
And then we get back to the show.
It's like number two this week.
Mercy.
It's like a number two this week.
All right, we're back.
What a jam.
I love that song.
Well, thank you, Ray Moon.
Yeah.
Big hit right now.
I'd be interested to hear.
Morgan Evans, kiss somebody sped up, huh?
Mm-hmm.
Yeah?
Mm-hmm.
All right.
Bones, it's weird at first.
It really is weird at first, but people might get used to this.
I feel like everybody would just get where they needed to go, like, way early.
Aren't most things uncomfortable, too, before they're awesome?
Yes.
It might sound weird, but it's not wrong.
All right.
That's right.
The Bobby Bone Show, Bobby Bone.
Here's what I have for you.
I give you a fictional city from a TV show.
You tell me what show is there.
Oh, cool.
Don't miss it, though.
So, for example, here is just a free one.
Anybody can answer it.
Pony.
What show?
Oh, that's Parks and Rec.
Right.
You would have got a point if that had been real.
No, no points.
Okay, here we go.
It's the city they live in a Parks and Rec.
Amy, you're up first.
Mayberry.
What show is in Mayberry?
I know.
Andy Griffin
Oh no
Say it again
What's the name of the show
Andy Griffith
I did ask again
I'll accept that
So what is it
It's Andy Griffith
Oh TH so not in
And that does some people
Close enough
Lunchbox
Hawkins Indiana
Hawkins
Indiana
Hawkins Indiana
Hawkins Indiana
The only one I can think of
is the middle
The middle he says
Stranger Things
Oh yeah
Hawkins Sheriff.
How about Eddie?
Dylan, Texas.
Oh, Friday Night Lights.
Correct.
Woo!
Amy.
Bedrock.
Oh, the Flintstones.
Correct.
Lunchbox, Bayside.
Oh, that's saved by the bell.
Correct.
Eddie.
Quohog.
What?
Oh, come on.
Quohog?
Yeah.
Oh, that's Harry Potter.
Oh, no.
Lunchbox, what you think is?
Family guy.
Family guy, yes.
Do we have any score or we just been running wild?
Well, I got one wrong.
Amy's undefeated.
And what about you?
Throw a clear in there.
Sorry.
Amy, let's see.
You win, Amy.
How about Gotham?
Hit it out of the park, Amy.
Well, there's a show called Gotham.
What's the city?
Batman.
Batman.
How about Springfield?
Hit it out of the park, Amy.
It's the cartoon people.
Is it the Simpsons?
And for the win.
For the win.
England.
King's Landing.
Landing.
Oh, okay.
It's not King of Queens.
Kings Landing.
It's the other cartoon people.
Right?
Kings Landing.
Five seconds.
What TV show is in Kings Landing?
Answer?
I don't know.
It is Game of Thrones.
Yes, that's right.
Well, anyway, anyways I'm a winner.
There it is.
Passing.
It's all right, Amy.
Thanks.
That last one, I was all over the place.
In my head, I was like, golden girls.
Please.
Nothing was going to work.
Congratulations on your win.
What are you going to do with your prize?
What is my prize?
No, nothing.
It's time for the good news.
With lunchbox.
Stay home, it's something good.
Amy Lewis works at a rest stop in Texas, and she's sitting there, and she's looking out the window,
and there's a little dog running around.
She's like, hmm, that's weird.
She goes out there and it's a little miniature schnauzer,
and she takes it to the vet.
Doesn't have a chip.
She's like, hmm, what am I going to do with this dog?
Had Michigan collar on it.
So she puts a picture on the Michigan lost dog website on Facebook.
Said, hey, I'm in Texas.
I found this dog.
Anybody know it?
People scrolling through, this guy goes,
that looks like my father-in-law's dog.
It made its way from Michigan to Texas.
And this lady found it, put it on Facebook, reunited with the family.
Had to get inside someone's car, right?
I mean, does it have a thumb?
Check the picture.
No, no hitchhiking.
Oh, then they had to get inside of something, a truck, a car, something.
Not like, where you going, dog?
Remember?
That reminds me.
As far as you can take me.
What's there you're trying to get to, puppy?
Oh, Texas.
You're lucky.
I'm headed that way.
I'm heading right down there.
What are we going to say, Amy?
I just was thinking that reminds me I haven't chipped my dog and I need to.
That reminds me, I haven't any chips in a while.
I'm hungry.
We'll get you.
We're all reminded of stupid things.
Well, that's just stupid if my dog got out.
Like, she'd be just like.
You know, anybody could take her.
Nobody would know where she doesn't even have a name or call her or anything.
What state would you go to, though?
Oh, where are you heading there?
Oh, Maine.
Wow, I'm not heading that direct.
Yeah.
All right, thank you.
That's what's all about right there.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
Let's welcome back.
The Shuggers.
It's time to use the shocker.
It's time to scream and yell.
It's time to use the shocker on the Bobby Bone Show.
It's time to use the shocker.
It's time to cream and kill.
It's time to use the shocker.
The Shocker on the Bobby Bones show.
Okay, Amy is now playing today.
Yeah.
Now, Amy, you have...
I already have like butterflies in my stomach.
Well, yeah, that's the point of this.
It's easy questions, but you're nervous.
Even knowing the shocker's coming, I feel about 75%
dumber.
It does dig it out of you.
Okay, hit me.
Would you like...
With the categories.
Easy sports question.
Oh, that is totally my wheelhouse.
Would you like easy solar system questions?
Oh!
Or easy music trivia.
Which one of those will you take?
Oh my God.
I feel like sports, it's just totally I would not know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Five questions.
What was the last one?
Music.
Oh gosh.
Music.
I feel like I have to take a gamble and go.
Okay, I'm between sports and solar system.
Wow, you're not going music?
Wow.
No.
Wait, should I leave music for?
It's up to you.
It's up to you.
You think I should go music?
I don't know.
Music?
I'm wearing my Elton John shirt, but I don't know music.
Okay.
I'm going to go.
Oh, man.
You choose for me.
No, I can't do that.
Come on, pick one.
Go sports.
I'll go sports.
Okay.
Oh, no, I guess suicide.
It's time to use the shocker on the Bobby Bone show.
Amy's putting the shocker around her neck.
By the way, don't do this at home.
No.
A lot of people are like,
kids are listening. To all those kids,
it is funny, huh? Oh my goodness.
But don't do it at home. That's right.
The little cold metal things.
I'm shocked she went sports.
Oh, yeah, me too. Why would you not go music?
I don't know music. You don't know
sports. Yeah, I know.
Okay. Oh my gosh. Can I go solar system?
No, you've already... Does it work? I don't know if it works yet.
Yes, it were!
Oh!
Yes, it was going to test it.
Yeah, he's got to test it.
Oh, man, I don't get the joy in this one that I did with L'I.
Rude.
You have to test it always.
It's rude.
So it does work.
I can't wait to test it on you.
Okay, here we go.
I'm ready.
Question number one.
Do you have to hold it?
No, no, it's gone.
Easy sports trivia.
Michael Jordan won six championships.
With what team, though?
Michael Jordan, of all the championships, he won six championships with what team.
The first thing that came to me.
My brain is the Chicago Bulls.
Okay.
Because, like, that's Jordan.
The Bulls.
Michael Jordan number 23.
Uh-huh.
What is your answer?
The Bulls!
She says the Bulls.
Show me the Bulls?
Correct.
One down.
One down.
