His hobbies are trying to coach kids, staring at plants and screaming at the TV during Cowboys games. Here he is, our video producer. Producer Eddie, everybody. I need your help. And I mean the airwaves right now because I don't know how to break this to Amy.
Starting point is 00:03:12 You're going to break some news to Amy? This is tough. Okay, what happened? I went to Amy about, I don't know, three or four weeks ago and I said, I need help because my wife really wants to go to a concert. And I want to surprise her with tickets. And I know you know this band personally. Who is it? For King of Country?
Starting point is 00:03:27 For King and Country. The Christian Group. Yes, yes. And my wife had mentioned she really wants to go to their Christmas show. So I asked Amy, can I get two tickets to their show here in Nashville? She said, I'll work on it. Sold out. It was hard to get.
Starting point is 00:03:41 I have no idea, but Eddie asked me for the tickets, so I said, okay, let me see. And then you got him. I got him two tickets. I said, I texted him the other day and said, hey, tickets will be under your name at Will Call. I mean, it's pretty awesome, right? Hey, good work, Amy. That's nice of you. And then I run home, surprised my wife.
Starting point is 00:03:56 And she says, oh, my gosh, that's so great. When is it? And I tell her the date? She goes, oh, we're not going to be here that day. So I'm like, oh my gosh, I worked so hard. And, I mean, I didn't. Amy really did all the work. But, I mean, I don't like to ask people for tickets.
Starting point is 00:04:10 And I finally did. I ask Amy, and now we're not going to be able to use them. Are you embarrassed? Absolutely. Amy, what is your reaction to this? Nothing. I just don't. It's going to be awkward.
Starting point is 00:04:19 That's what I'm saying. I mean, I want to release them because they could give the tickets to somebody else. So I guess I'm just going to have to make that awkward text. You know, those tickets. Yes. It's awkward for everyone. And I told my wife, I'm like, I surprised. You said you wanted to go.
Starting point is 00:04:32 Well, this calls for canceling your trip. No. Wow. They're the nicest, so they will totally understand. Yeah, they'll understand. Literally, you can just say, hey, Eddie's not able to come anymore. Thank you so much. After all that.
Starting point is 00:04:43 But yes, that's annoying. I hate it. Amy, I'm sorry. Thank you so much for getting those tickets for me, but I'm just not going to be able to use them. Would you have not said that to her in private? You needed the show to beat your blanket? Yeah, I didn't want to be awkward one-on-one with Amy. I got to go ahead and make a note to text now, so I don't forget.
Starting point is 00:04:57 And then the tickets don't get claimed. All right, up next, his hobbies. include calling 911, complaining on Facebook and losing the lottery. Here is Lunchbox, everybody. Rude. But I want to know if you guys are team lunchbox or team company. So I order- Company already.
Starting point is 00:05:14 That's it. Next. Go to Amy. No, go ahead. I ordered something offline and I paid an extra $16 for overnight shipping. Offline? What do you mean you ordered offline? You said that wrong.
Starting point is 00:05:25 Online. He said the opposite. I said online. You said offline. You said offline. You said you ordered it offline. Go ahead. Yeah, like offline.
Starting point is 00:05:33 Like you go online. On the internet? Yeah. Okay, go ahead. So I went to the website, typed it in, boom, boom, $16 for overnight delivery. Done come for a week. So I emailed the company and I said, hey, I think I need to be refunded my $16 because I paid for overnight shipping. I'm like, yeah, we overnighted it once we shipped it.
Starting point is 00:05:56 No, no, no. When I order it, it means it's going to be there. You ordered it from the company? Not our company. I didn't want to say the name of the company. Oh, I thought you meant our company. No. This is tricky because he ordered it from a company.
Starting point is 00:06:08 Yes. They shipped it the next day and probably paid a company to ship it. They're saying this is his storytelling ability here. They waited a week to ship it, but then we did overnight once they shipped it. Once they shipped it, they did overnight it, but they took a week to ship it. Yeah. But can they not find it? Did they have to go to?
Starting point is 00:06:25 They just said, we did. When we shipped it, it came overnight. But did you say, why didn't it? ship the night I ordered it. That's the problem. Like, I don't understand how I... I think you lose on this one. But if that's the case, I'm Team Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:06:37 I know. It doesn't matter who's right or wrong. I think you just lose on this one. Because if they paid for it for overnight shipping, you're just paying them back for it. Wow. And maybe they couldn't find it. Maybe it's processing where they have to go and find it a different warehouse or something. You know, in teeny tiny print offline, it said...
Starting point is 00:06:52 Offline? Like, you know, we'll ship it when we ship it, but it'll be overnight. Hey, that kind of stuff happens when you shop offline. Yeah. They may not even know when you ordered it because it was offline. Maybe you would order it online. It would have been different. You would have gotten it.
Starting point is 00:07:04 Are they not going to give you your money back? They said no, but I'm like, this is crazy. When you pay the extra money, you expect to get it the next day. I agree. That's online. Yeah. You're at the wrong store, buddy. Guys, I agree with you.
Starting point is 00:07:17 You're burying the lead here. I agree with you in principle. But that's what you get when you shop offline. Right. I think we learn that. All right. All right up next. She's not broke, but both of her CMAs are.
Starting point is 00:07:27 Here she is. Amy, everybody. Okay. So I take. actually have one CMA that's not broken. So there you go. We have three. But I am decorated for Christmas and it feels so good.
Starting point is 00:07:38 I've been watching Christmas movies, have a tree up, have garland, bought lights for the outside, still working on that. But even my son was so excited and he walked in and he's like, oh, it feels like Christmas. You feel accomplished? I mean, we've got to do it anyway, but now you don't have to put it off and you're not looking ahead to, oh, I have to go decorate for Christmas. Yeah, no. And I was at Lowe's even getting some extra stuff. a guy that worked there, it seemed like he was frustrated.
Starting point is 00:08:02 They have tons of Christmas stuff everywhere, and people were, they were buying it. But to me, he's like, oh, I just feel like y'all are doing this way too early. What's time, though, now? It is time. Like, now it's time. Like, now it's time. Tomorrow's Thanksgiving? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:15 He said after Thanksgiving is appropriate, but I was like, well, people can be preparing. Don't be a sore loser. No, that's their podcast. You mean Grinch. Yeah, you know. You mean Bahambug. All right. Ramundo.
Starting point is 00:08:26 From Mount Pine, Arkansas. His favorite season is summer. and if he gets canceled, well, that'd be a real bummer. Bobby Bones. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. I'm going to give you two movie reviews here over the past week. We watched a couple movies.
Starting point is 00:08:39 Not a big movie guy. I'm a wife's like I like to watch it, so we watch it. Where the Crawdads sing, which is about a girl. It's based off a book, and she lives in the marsh, and then she's accused of a crime. That's all I'm going to tell you of it right now. You watch this too? It's so good, dude. You can review it, too.
Starting point is 00:08:55 It's so good. Mike, have you seen it? What? Did you review it? Okay. I gave it four out of five crawdads. Mike, what did you rate it when you did it? I gave it that same rating, four out of five.
Starting point is 00:09:05 Eddie? Four out of five, absolutely. Good. I felt like the story was a little unbelievable, just kind of... It's fiction. I know. But I wanted it to be like... You ever watch Iron Man's?
Starting point is 00:09:14 Okay, but it's not like a superhero movie. It's like a real life story. But certain things in there, I'm like, well, that wouldn't really happen. But it's fiction. No, I get, I get it. But I love the movie. So good. It is good.
Starting point is 00:09:26 Yeah, four out of five. It's good. You know, for about half of it, I was like three and a half of it. Four. Oh, it just got better and better. And then it got better as it went. Yeah, for sure. So that's the first one.
Starting point is 00:09:34 It's about a girl who lives in the marsh. Her family leaves her. And she has to raise herself. And it's not like super, it's not like a sad, sad, sad movie, but it's just a story. And then she gets accused of a crime and she's got to figure it out, right? Did you think of yourself a lot while watching the movie? Well, I started calling myself Marsh boy during the movie. Why?
Starting point is 00:09:51 My wife was like, stop calling yourself that. That's funny. You'll see Amy. I was like, I'm just a Marsh boy. I get it. I know what it's like. Because her family all left her. She'd raised herself.
Starting point is 00:10:01 Yeah, basically. I could totally see your wife being like, all right. She was like, get it. She goes, I know where you came from. You're not a marsh boy. You never live in the marsh. The next movie I watch is called Don't Worry Darling with Harry Stiles and Florence Pugh.
Starting point is 00:10:15 I didn't know what it was going into it. I thought it was just a rom-com. I thought it was just Harry Styles being cute. And I knew that there was some drama. Olivia Wilde once directed it. I had no idea that there was like an element to it of you're trying to figure out what's going on. And I don't even want to say too much because I don't want to spoil what's up.
Starting point is 00:10:32 But I give this one, I'm going to give this one four out of five as well. Wow. Okay. I'm going to give it four out of five, 1950 Chevroletes. Because it takes place in that time? Yeah. Dude, okay. I got two movies.
Starting point is 00:10:50 Mike, did you review that one? What did you think? I gave that one a 3.5 out of five. I felt there were a lot of loose end. The audience scoring Rotten Tomatoes is 74%. The critics one's a 39%. Oh, wow. I didn't know what I was getting into, but you did, huh?
Starting point is 00:11:05 Yeah, I did. I don't want to spoil too much, but there's an alley, and it's up mine. Okay. Like a literal alley? There's an alley and it's up mine. Like those movies. What?
Starting point is 00:11:19 What movies? Like sci-fi? No, it's not like apocalypse. Apocalypse? But you don't see it. But it's like they're living in this ideal, idyllic town, and it's just their story. How they have to figure it out.
Starting point is 00:11:29 Hey, listen to Marsh Boy. You guys. So I recommend them both. I recommend them both. It's time to open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:44 Hello, Bobby Bones. Every year my husband and I host Thanksgiving. We love it. However, our problem is that every year, people always stay too late. After we eat, everyone ends up spreading out on the couch. We're talking endlessly at the empty table. no one wants to leave. My husband has an uncle who brings himself an entire 12-pack,
Starting point is 00:12:07 sits at the couch to watch football and doesn't leave until it's all done. One year, he stayed until 10 p.m. Last year, we tried to start packing and handing out leftovers to get things to move along, but that didn't work. Help! How do you politely kick your family and friends out on Thanksgiving? Signed, the Thanksgiving tyrant. Well, the answer is you have to set the expectation before they get there. You have to say, hey, we're going to have Thanksgiving at our house from 11 to 3,000,
Starting point is 00:12:31 three or whatever, you have to lay those out. And you can put, bring whatever, we're shutting off. You can write it all in an email or an invite because it doesn't feel like you're targeting anyone specifically. So as long as you lay the rules out, generally before it even happens, nobody will get their feelings hurt. You still may have Uncle 12 pack hanging out. Can you limit that to a six pack?
Starting point is 00:12:51 He's probably going to be like, this doesn't apply to me. Yeah. You really have to describe what your expectation is before. they get there. It's hard for them just to show up and you start packing up. Be like, all right, time to go. Because it's awkward. I do that. You do that. I do that. I do that. I'm like, well, time for everybody to get out of here. I'll just say it. And we'll go because I think people also may be confused on when to leave as well. That's an awkward thing for the person there sometimes too. Like, can I leave now? Do I need to hang out a little bit more? Just direct communication
Starting point is 00:13:22 in this situation, I think is the best. But it's tough for Uncle 12 pack because he's at nine, he can't just drive. That's true. He can't just drive. And he's got to wait until at least the game's over. Like, he's here to watch the game. Yeah, but you have to, again, set it. At the end of the, you can do that. At the end of the Cowboys game, if that's the first game, whatever it is,
Starting point is 00:13:40 we're shutting it down. Just say that. They do make those banners you can hang. Like, leave by nine, please. Yeah, but you don't need 10. It seems like they want people out of there a lot earlier. Or whatever. You could probably specify it to the time you need.
Starting point is 00:13:53 So I would just say, let everybody know in the pre-email, but don't make the email about that. You write it up. all and part of it too is hey we want everybody out by four because at the end of the game blah blah blah that's it no one will take any offense to it because you're not targeting anyone specifically
Starting point is 00:14:08 and also people will feel good to know when they can also leave because that's also awkward for them good luck hope your turkey's awesome and I hope everybody gets out by six or seven and I hope Uncle 12 pack well you know rolls a six or her hide some of his beers
Starting point is 00:14:24 no he'll find him that's the mailbag thank you we've got your email and we've read it on the air Now it's found to close Bobby fell back Yeah This guy's 95 years old He fell So they take him to the doctor
Starting point is 00:14:39 And they go Hey you got some in your neck He's getting checked out Like what is that It's bullet Been in his neck for 77 years What? Bought in World War II
Starting point is 00:14:46 Got shot Didn't know It was close to a lot of Like vessels But didn't go into them And he's had neck pain Randomly on and off Wow
Starting point is 00:14:58 But they said that bullet is actually in a place that is fine and it may actually, because of his age, be worse to cut it out. So he's lived 77 years with a bullet in his neck and he's going to die with a bullet in his neck. But the bull in his neck didn't kill him. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:15:14 Look at that. What if it gave him just the right amount of iron to make him live 95 years, though? What if that's it? Whatever it was, it's just like perfect. And that's what allowed him to live. You never know. There's a 10-year-old girl who helped her mom
Starting point is 00:15:25 give birth at home and now wants to become a doctor. I feel like that would go one or two ways. Right. Yeah, yeah, it's like, I never want to be anywhere near the human body again or can't get enough of it. This girl 10 years old, her name is Miracle Moore, and she helped her mom deliver a baby at home. Must be kind of a hippie family. Probably, from all that. At first I was like, oh, maybe they couldn't make it to the hospital, but now I'm like, oh, maybe it was a homebirth.
Starting point is 00:15:51 Viola Fair went into labor. It was three weeks before her due date. There was not enough time to get to the hospital, but Miracle, who was 10, picked up the phone, called 911, and the operator just, or just kind of talked her through. It's like when you see on TV, they land planes. And the person's like, okay, now push this red button. But they're like, okay, kid, take your left hand to put it. Oof.
Starting point is 00:16:11 That's crazy. You would do it if you had to. Yes, I would. But yeah, gross. Is it gross, be honest? Yeah. Oh, it's gross. Of course it is.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Gross. I'm not saying it's not awesome, but it's gross. Oh, gross. Gross. Really? Oh. Would every man described it's gross? Some would say beautiful.
Starting point is 00:16:30 No, gross. You worry about those guys. It can be both, though. Because what happens can be beautiful. I'm not hearing of beauty from these guys. No, no, but it is beautiful because a baby. Of what happens at the end. Yes, but the process.
Starting point is 00:16:42 Oh. It's like hot dogs. I'm sure that process pretty disgusting how they make hot dogs. But the hot dog is beautiful. They put a little mustard on it, a little bun. On a sunny summer day, on a picnic. Oh. Okay.
Starting point is 00:16:55 But it's gross. Oh, man. Like, it is the grossest thing you've ever. seen. Ever. Ever. Ever. Ever. Dude, the stuff. Yeah. We know. Eddie,
Starting point is 00:17:05 is it the grossest thing you've ever seen? I did C-sections. Scoop is deep. Scoop is acting like it's beautiful. I think it's not a beautiful. I marveled over it. I think like this is so incredible that my wife can do this. Anything and everything you see doesn't matter because of what's happening in that moment. But it doesn't. It wasn't gross. No, not at all. I thought it was pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:17:22 Wait, wait. Scoop was all the stuff that you can deliver a baby? I could totally deliver a baby, yes. Is it like being a quarterback? You just like catch it. It comes out. No, it's a little slipper. You gotta have, I mean.
Starting point is 00:17:32 It's like the oily pig. Oh, yeah. And you don't even really have to catch it. Like my third child, the doctor wasn't even ready. And she's like, hey, if it comes out, don't worry, there's a table to land on. Wait, what? Well, they put a little sheet there to catch it. Yeah, but like the doctor was still getting like gowned up.
Starting point is 00:17:50 And she was like, oh, if you got to push, just push. It'll land on the table. For 500 bucks, you deliver somebody else's baby. Oh, yeah. Oh, 500? 100? Oh, make it a thousand and I'm in. Even though you think it's, if it wasn't your baby, it'd probably real gross. It's really gross. It is so gross, dude. I got, ugh.
Starting point is 00:18:10 Okay, $1,000 you're in? I do it for $1,000, but it is so disgusting. Is it like Fear Factor gross? It's worse than that. It is, I mean. What about ranch dressing? Oh, probably ranch is probably worse. Oh, what?
Starting point is 00:18:22 Yeah. Well, the kid wants to be a doctor now. One final story. Brides are getting mid-wedding day haircuts. Just think about a wedding. It's already very stressful. And now you want to go and get a haircut in the middle of it. Because what they're doing is they have the ceremony.
Starting point is 00:18:35 They get their haircut and show up to the reception with different clothes and a haircut. Weird. I definitely wouldn't do it just for that. I guess if you want, I don't know, it's just a lot. Risky. Yeah. What if you don't like it? Yes.
Starting point is 00:18:49 Why not just put extensions in for the wedding and then take them out for the reception? That's more like it. I like that, Amy. Yeah. It's something that people are doing now. It's something new for the wedding. They're showing up and shocking people with a haircut in the middle. I mean, I thought wardrobe change was a lot.
Starting point is 00:19:04 Now they're getting a whole haircut. So anyway, how gross that baby? Oh, gross. Just, oh. Oh, you're getting sick right now? Yeah, it's bad. But it's beautiful at the same time, but it's scuba saying it ain't gross. I don't know what he's watching.
Starting point is 00:19:18 Probably the same thing you were. No. I don't know. Can you watch YouTube of it happening? Oh, yeah. You could? You could. You want to?
Starting point is 00:19:25 How much? It's time for the good news. lunchbox. Tell me something good. Oh, you want to do something different this Thanksgiving? You can go cuddle with a turkey and have it called a gentle Thanksgiving. It's in Missouri. It's in Tennessee.
Starting point is 00:19:45 And it's in California. You go to these locations. You pay $50. You have pie. Oh, you get to eat. Okay. Yeah, you have pie. You have other stuff and you get to cuddle with a turkey.
Starting point is 00:19:55 Thurgies are not clean. No, no, no. It's like a rescue place. And you pay and you get to go hang out with turkeys. Oh, maybe they clean them. Yeah, yeah, so I feel like they're going to be clean turkeys. Is it like red lobster? You pick it out, you cuddle, and then you whack.
Starting point is 00:20:08 Stop it. No. Yeah. You cuddle and then you eat it? No. You don't whack it. It's really just a way to do something different this Thanksgiving. It's turkeys that have been saved, you can go cuddle with it and enjoy Thanksgiving,
Starting point is 00:20:22 but you don't eat the turkey. And here's the lady talking about it. The female turkeys love to cuddle and form close relationships. Our turkey specifically, we have a turkey that, loves to be held and sit in your lap. So they really enjoy all of the attention. That's good. I like it. No turkey dies is because of this bit.
Starting point is 00:20:40 That's great. Whack. I thought you're serious. That's what it's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good. You guys have a neighborhood watch? Well, we're forming one because remember like several months ago one of my neighbors got shot at? Well, you told me that somebody was also on your neighbor's porch.
Starting point is 00:20:58 Yeah, that has happened too. Where it was like they were like looking at it? The video footage. So what they're trying to do is get everybody together and they held a neighborhood meeting. I couldn't attend it. But I'm on the emails. And I love that they were like being proactive. And they're trying to come up with the best plans possible to keep our neighborhood safe.
Starting point is 00:21:14 And they gave all these reasons why our neighborhood is a popular target. Why? Well, I don't, should I say? Lots of money. Gold? Yeah. No. That's not it.
Starting point is 00:21:25 That's not it. Diamonds. Easy to figure out codes to get into places. No dogs. Tell us more. How do you get there? No. It's not like that at all.
Starting point is 00:21:36 It can be any neighborhood that has close access to highways. So they can get away fast. Exactly. Got it. And so they're just working on different ways to utilize everybody. What is your role going to be? Are you going to go out and do security in the middle of the night? I got to figure out through the emails what the job opportunities are.
Starting point is 00:21:56 It's not a paying job. It's not a career. Yeah, put the yellow light on top of your car and drive around. It ain't a career path. Okay, or the volunteer opportunities. Because, you know, like, we got to work together. You know for sure you'll fall asleep in that car. 100%.
Starting point is 00:22:09 No doubt. Amby's like, I'm going to get 2 to 5 a.m. There's like three break-ins. What happened? Well, that is exciting for your neighborhood that they're going to do that, but not exciting that they have to do that. No, but it's not just our neighborhood that is dealing with it. Like, they've gotten together with several neighborhoods down our street.
Starting point is 00:22:29 or like there's a long street and then there's boom these little neighborhoods and apparently everyone's being affected and so yeah they're just being proactive which i love it and i'll keep y'all posted what my contribution will be you have neighborhood uh no but i want to be part of one like i would like to go do amy's i mean i like to be a vigilante out there bust in neighborhood yeah yeah yeah so but you don't have one not that i know of no uh eddie no i don't want to have one we should have one but we don't yeah i mean where are they no we don't have i don't think i don't think i don't think to be the leader. Like this person, my neighborhood, they stepped up and they were like, we're hosting a get together at our house. We're going to brainstorm. Like they were,
Starting point is 00:23:06 they took the initiative. So that's what you guys have to do. I always thought neighborhoods just put those signs up to make you think people are watching you and there is really no neighborhood watch. I thought they were all fake. I always thought they put it up because they had one for a minute and then everybody quit, but they kept signs up. That's what I thought. You know what we have? We have a Facebook page and everyone just speculates. Yes, that's a great one. That's all everyone does. Just talk to crap about stuff. They just guess who probably robbed it. Like one of the neighbors got an ambulance call to their house. No one knew anything, but they all just like, I bet you this happened.
Starting point is 00:23:33 I bet you that happened. I'm like, you guys don't know anything. Those neighborhood Facebook pages, those can get you in trouble. Like people are sometimes mean, sometimes too sherry. You know, they're sharing. I definitely could see where that could cause real life human tension in the neighborhood. When I first moved to my neighborhood, I don't know, maybe one day I'll be able to a book about it, but I was definitely getting talked about.
Starting point is 00:23:59 Publicly on that page? No, but they were probably texting about me. How do you know? Because it just, there was so much happening during that time that, I don't know, just crazy things were happening. And there was probably texts flying. Like, who are these new people that just moved to here? We need to hear more about this.
Starting point is 00:24:17 Why? What were you doing that was so textable? I, well, it's not, it's like, um... Cops? Yeah, emergency vehicles, stuff like that. I'm talking about. I'm here for it. All right.
Starting point is 00:24:29 Well, be safe, Amy. We would love for you to do a shift a month. But please stay awake. Yeah, please do a shift a month because you have a concealed weapon. That's in the state of North Carolina. You have to get. Potato. It doesn't cross over?
Starting point is 00:24:42 Yeah, potato potato. I don't think so. But yeah, I mean, I guess I could be like I'm armed and ready to shoot. I mean, once a month to be awesome. People would wake up and like, oh, I'm drunk driver, hit my car. Oh, no, it's just security. Is Amy, doing security. That's a good point.
Starting point is 00:24:56 I'll give you three movies. Give me the one actor that wasn't all three of the movies. Survivor style. Amy, your first. Okay. Your three movies are Inception, Titanic, and the Departed.

Starting point is 00:28:43 I wasn't confused. Hey, if I come back and win this? Sudden sudden death. I will list out three movies slowly, and all you have to do is buzz in with your name. Love it. The three movies are. Dunkirk. Never heard of it.
Starting point is 00:29:01 Eddie. Eddie. Perry Stiles. Yeah! Wow! Wow! I can't have got you guys. Eddie comes back.
Starting point is 00:29:11 Wow, what a win, Eddie. What a win. That did you. Wow. Happy Thanksgiving. That was awesome. And thank you for letting me. Are you thankful for that win? Are you thankful to Amy?
Starting point is 00:29:20 Because she was like, well, who's in? Amy. Thank you so much, Amy. Happy Thanksgiving. No problem, no. Dunkirk, my policeman and don't worry, darling are the movies for Harry Styles. Dang. Eddie is the winner.
Starting point is 00:29:30 That was awesome. Dang. How do you know what that is? Dunkirk? Great movie. Did you see it? Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:37 He comes out only for a second, though. Don't worry, darling. That's the one you saw. I would have... Yes. Yeah. What was the third one? What was the third one?
Starting point is 00:29:45 My policeman? Yeah, here's the truth. I wouldn't have any of those. We'd have no idea. What if I said? Watermelon Sugar. Hi. Justin Bieber?
Starting point is 00:29:52 All right. A voicemail from Katie in Wisconsin. I'm calling because I heard Eddie talking about the UFO sighting. And I was driving in my car one day a couple weeks ago and saw something exactly like that. but it was bright as day out. And so maybe there is something that exists. Love the show. The general sort of explanation was Space Station.
Starting point is 00:30:21 International Space Station. That's what they want us to think. Yeah, I felt like that was the go-to, like the cover-up go-to. You think they have a group of people that were ready to call if they hear that and they just fill the call lines up? If anyone sees that mysterious light, just tell them it was the space station. That's what I feel like that. Like sleeper-cell callers, though, all around the country where they... Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:38 All right, here's Abel and his mom. I live in Tallahassee, Florida, on... No, you don't tell him the address. Tell him you got a morning corny. I have a morning corny. You don't get the whole world the address, boy. Why can't you trust stairs? Why can't you trust stairs?
Starting point is 00:31:00 Because they're always up. Just not me. I don't know if this worked or not. I love that. Pretty much a whole show. Just listen to that. Thank you for the morning, Corny. The Babbage Bowl show.
Starting point is 00:31:16 Here's Amy's pile of stories. Abandoning your cart on Black Friday could help you save some money. Do you know what that means? Yeah, it means you fill it full of crap and you run off and go, I don't want it anymore. No. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:31:29 It's your online cart. That's funny. Oh, I was going to say, of course it saved you money because all that stuff you're not buying. Yeah, experts are saying, hey, go ahead and throw it in your cart on Black Friday. If you're sure that it's not going to sell out. And if you keep it in your cart through the weekend,
Starting point is 00:31:44 they'll normally maybe send you an email. Normally maybe? Well, because I don't want to guarantee anything. But it's likely that the company might send you an email saying, hey, we see you still have this stuff in your cart. And then to give you some incentive, they'll give you a discount code to purchase what was in your cart. Well, if you want to save money, you can abandon your cart,
Starting point is 00:32:03 abandon your kids, abandon. There's a lot of stuff you get to ban your wife, a husband, abandon your hobbies. There's just a lot of abandonments we can do here. What else? I have America's most hated Thanksgiving foods and the most loved. Most hated would be something, though, that isn't normal, I would think. Or isn't considered traditional?
Starting point is 00:32:23 Is it not? What is it? I mean, I don't put this on any of my food. The number one most hated thing is cranberry sauce. I love cranberry sauce. It's so good. It's so good. And if I had it every meal, it wouldn't be, but I love it for Thanksgiving.
Starting point is 00:32:35 I like that tartness. You know, they put so much sugar in that stuff. so, they have to because it is so tart normally. But I love cranberry sauce. In the can, I probably like it fresh, but nobody ever made it from me fresh. And then the number two most... I get sad. A tear falls off my cheese. The number two most hated thing is turkey.
Starting point is 00:32:53 So it's almost like, why even so much effort goes into the turkey? I love turkeys out there. No, no, turkey's awesome. Okay. Who, why do they poll these people? Well, you're going to love the number one food because it's mashed potatoes. No, all that's good. Are they, is this all love?
Starting point is 00:33:07 loved, but it's the least loved. Well, it just goes in order in the mac and cheese at number two. Okay. Then the list goes on. Well, I'm just making sure people have this stuff at their table, but clearly we all disagree. Speaking of food, Miranda Lambert is putting out a cookbook. It's called Y'all Eat Yet. And she said it's full of some recipes, her mom, her grandma, her kitchen, stuff like
Starting point is 00:33:28 nonies, banana pudding, Dutch oven campfire cobbler, and stacked enchilada bake. Do you know what a Dutch oven is? It's where you fart under the cover. No, it's not. No, no, no. I got you a Dutch oven for your wedding. No, Bobby's right. No, no, no, the original is an actual cooking.
Starting point is 00:33:41 No, no, a Dutch oven when you fart under the cover. It's like... Lock them in. Yeah. Okay. That's why when I hear that, I was like, wait, well, she's making a fart meal? No, she's not. No, it's a thing.
Starting point is 00:33:53 Why didn't no one stop her and go? You shouldn't call it a Dutch oven. Because there's really a Dutch oven. Really? You have one. It's not just the fart thing. Lunchbox, what did you think when you heard Dutch oven? Oh, fart under the covers.
Starting point is 00:34:02 Me too. Lock them in? Me too. Okay. Well, only. the, I guess, probably all the women know what a Dutch oven is? Here's the definition. A Dutch oven from Urban Dictionary.
Starting point is 00:34:13 Farting under the blanket, then lifting it up, trapping your significant other underneath the covers. Yep. Lock them in. Right. That's from Urban Dictionary. What about, like, Webster Miriam? I don't know him. Okay, well, good for her.
Starting point is 00:34:27 If you can make a cookbook, all power to you, because that's easy to do. Well, it's recipes and stories. I like that some people are now doing that with the cookbook. I wish I could do a cookbook. I do all a Dutch oven items. Is that it Amy? Yep, I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 00:34:45 It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. A Warren County, Iowa canine officer named Zeke, a police dog, was staying at a professional handler's home when Zeke got out. His owner, police officer, Cody Poffenberger, had just returned from vacation when he got the call that they could not find Zee. shortly after we went missing, Zeke was spotted in a quiet neighborhood just playing with somebody.
Starting point is 00:35:12 He was playing with the dog and they were like we saw him, but then he ran off where they could get to him and they searched 45 people from different agencies. Everyday people searched. They're looking for Zeke. They can't find him. Then a firefighter spotted Zeke in his own yard and said, Zeeks here, but I'm not going to make any sudden moves. And so they slowly went up to Zeke, put their arms around him, got them, and held them. Now here is Steve Kirby, the neighbor who spotted Zeke.
Starting point is 00:35:35 and this is his story. We heard some commotion our dogs were barking. And then my wife says, hey, there's a police car out front with the lights on. So I was down there with the flashlight. It was important to find Zeke. We did utilize drones, and we did utilize any technology that we had available to us. The firefighter saw Zeke and said Zeke here. And Zeke came right over and was reunited with Officer Proffenberger.
Starting point is 00:35:57 Well, they talked about the pretty clinical. So basically, I said drones out, but I got a heartwarming dog story. Like I could tell Zeke had a tear in his eye when he saw his owner. and we're looking for donations this holiday season for other police dogs. Like that's how you do that right there. They were like, yeah, we sent Zika up. We tracked him by his collar.
Starting point is 00:36:10 The firefighter did what he needed to do, and we got him. I'm glad they got Zique, but it's a great story. I love that Zeeke's back with, but also a police dog. Shouldn't he be so trained? He didn't keep running away from people too? Yeah. What if he's out solving crimes? Oh, ooh, and they stopped him from that.
Starting point is 00:36:25 And the humans always been holding him back. And he finally figured out this is how he could do it. And Zique is out solving, but dog crimes. Not human crimes. Oh. In the dog community, Zeke's been figuring the stuff out. Let me write this down. The show idea.
