Starting point is 00:01:52 You can catch this first person at his son's football games this fall or watching Doc Prescott turning over the ball. Okay. They're not to see the game. I hear you. I didn't want to write these.
Starting point is 00:02:03 Here, producer, ready. That wasn't going to be good this year. Guys, I need your opinion on something. I'm asking for a friend. Say you're at a university and you go on the softball field and you're doing home run derby, get a hold of a ball, goes out, it's flying, goes over the fence, hits a car. Who's responsible for that? Like, is it, I mean, you're parked right?
Starting point is 00:02:26 Is it hypothetical or real? No, hypothetical. Okay. So let's just call the person Freddie. Sure. So Freddie's. A nice random name. Playing home run derby and hits a car.
Starting point is 00:02:34 Where's its car parks? Right on left field. Like home run? Across the fence, you know. So the ball was hit really well, bounced on the sidewalk on the other side of the fence, hit a car. Just saying it hit the car. So if there's no damage, I think you do nothing. What if there's a dent on the hood?
Starting point is 00:02:53 But let me say too. Say next to the car there's a sign that says not responsible for flying objects. I mean, I think. I mean, it's a softball field, right? So is there always a sign like that at a softball field? So does Freddie think or you think? Say Freddie. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:08 I don't know that there's a sign. But also by parking at a softball field, do you know that you may get hit by a ball? Yes, so I make choices. Like when I would be going to my daughter's softball game, sometimes there would be a great spot. They're like, ooh, I know I'm going to go park over here just in case there's, it wasn't even an outfield spot.
Starting point is 00:03:25 It was a foul ball spot where I thought if they hit a foul ball, I'm easily at risk, so I'm in a park over here. So your friend Freddie hit a car and now he's concerned that he may owe money? Well, yeah. I would tell you. No one came after Freddie or anything, but he's, Was it because nobody was outside at the time? Correct.
Starting point is 00:03:40 Except for, yeah. I would tell your friend Freddie that car was parked right beside the ball field. There are risks with parking by a ball field, right, everybody? Yes. Totally. But you could, Freddie could still help. I don't think Freddie knows how to get a hold of the person. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:53 Freddy doesn't know the person. Okay. Just out. That's cool. I'll let Freddie know. Okay, let Freddie know, buddy. All right, thank you. This next person is in charge of the show's stock investments on the year.
Starting point is 00:04:04 Whether we'll make any money still remains unclear. It's lunchbox. Last week we did a study about what keeps the sparks in a marriage going. You guys asked my opinion, how do you keep your sparks going? And I told you nibble on the air, do a little butt squeeze. I didn't say that. No, I did. And so I went home and, you know, talked to my wife to see if she likes my method of keeping the sparks going.
Starting point is 00:04:27 I mean, just being nice and considerate and doing little things throughout the day that show me that you're thinking of me. Like what? Send you a nude. No, I think I need to do that. When you fill up my gas tank, when I get in the car and I'm like, oh, my gas tank is full. Like, I always notice that and that's really nice. You always take out the trash. You always, always, always do the trash.
Starting point is 00:04:53 So thank you for that. That's awesome. That keeps the spark alive. I mean, it's just, it's nice. Yeah, kind of. And it leads to keeping spark alive. It makes me happy, which then puts me in a good mood for other things. She didn't mention anything about a nibble or a butt grab.
Starting point is 00:05:09 She mentioned like wiping the floor down. Yeah, and I feel like it's incredibly sweet that lunchbox fills her gas tank up for her. That was shocking to me. Yeah. Does she tell you to? No, is this sometimes it's on E, so I have to fill it up because I'm driving it. Oh, you have to fill up. Whatever.
Starting point is 00:05:24 I knew we'd find a way to pivot out of that. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, it doesn't sound like that your way of keeping sparks is the same way that she appreciates the sparks. Well, I guess, I mean, I thought that that's what was keeping the sparks, but I guess me taking out the trash leads to the But grab and the nibble on the ear. Being thoughtful. Yeah. That's what keeps the sparks.
Starting point is 00:05:40 Or I figure like when she's cooking, you walk by and you pop her on the, smack on the butt. Yeah, they don't like that. All right. Having weights in her hands recently saved this next person when she fell and we're lucky she survived so she could come on and show and tell. Here's Amy. So I use Rocket Money, which is, it's an app. I also just have it on my computer and it's a way that I can track all my spending. I am very into it now because I take care of stuff on my own.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Being single, I had to really dial in because Ben used to do that when we were married. And I was really nervous about it, but I'm obsessed with it now and I pay attention to everything. And I got a note the other day that was just sharing with me my most frequently spent places. Like, it's not where I spend the most money. But I have the most frequent transactions. Okay, you go. Amazon. Venmo.
Starting point is 00:06:30 And I think that's because of this job. We're constantly all in a business. Yes. And then Uber. Number three. Those are my top three. Yeah, I think Uber, but Uber eats, if that's probably just going to Uber. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:42 That could be up there. And we're probably very similar in that way. Maybe, what would I buy off the TV? Streaming services, does that count, though? No, it's not your. Amazon, like if you're buying stuff on Amazon. I get it every, I don't do it yearly. I do a month.
Starting point is 00:06:55 Yeah, no. I'm getting like a Netflix bill or. Draft Kings. Oh, yeah, that's it. Literally. That's a great point. Nailed it. That's probably number one for me.
Starting point is 00:07:04 Right now. Yeah, yeah. Really only during football and a little bit during basketball. But what if you're making money? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's okay. I mean, it didn't say. I mean, sometimes you guys spend money and make money.
Starting point is 00:07:14 That's right. It didn't mention that part. That's right. Okay, good. All right, thank you for sharing that with us. Raymond, go ahead. From Mountain Pine, Arkansas. He's good at betting picks for football.
Starting point is 00:07:22 So get ready for free money this fall. Bobby Bow. Thank you very much. You know, I'm not letting my feelings get hurt by what I'm about to say. I'm not. But when you guys come in this room. For example, Amy will come in and I'll see her and say something. I try to be very
Starting point is 00:07:39 aware and present. Whenever Ray or Ed, I try to be there and be someone who notices. I cut all my hair off, which is really, like, a week ago. You did? Yeah, it used to be very long. I didn't notice that. Exactly. Thank you. Amy comes in. She's 0.1% lighter. I'm like, look at your
Starting point is 00:07:58 hair. It looks great. Huh. Are you a chick? Yeah, yeah, Buzz. Like, are you a chick right now? I think that cut all my hair off. I did, all of it. It's an exaggeration. Let's say it different? I cut off like three inches.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Three inches? Four inches. Okay, no, five inches. Are you sure? I'm just saying. Did you keep the hair? No, that's okay. I just thought maybe one person in the whole show would notice me like, hey man.
Starting point is 00:08:22 I saw that you got a hair cup and one of my supposed to do. Oh, dude, you cut your hair. You do say that when we like buy a new shirt. I remember I bought a new shirt once and Bose like, new shirt? Nice. I like it. I'm like, wow, you noticed I got a new shirt. We got a tag was on it.
Starting point is 00:08:35 Well, no. No, but you're right. You do notice. Sorry, dude. We can't. We can't. I just thought after a week, now somebody would say something, but nobody did. It's been a week?
Starting point is 00:08:44 Yeah. So it's already even grown a little. Yeah. That's crazy. Yeah. It's all right, though. I don't worry about it. I never saw that.
Starting point is 00:08:49 Looks good. No, it does not. It does not count. And so I'm moving on with life. Did you get new glasses? I did not. Shut up. Did you get new shoes, man?
Starting point is 00:08:58 All right. We'll get going with the show here. Let's open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Hello, Bobby Bones. I had to leave on business for a couple weeks and paid a local college-aged girl in the neighborhood
Starting point is 00:09:17 a few hundred bucks to stay at my house and watch over the place. She was allowed to stay over, eat what she wanted, and was given free rain and a lot of trust. When I came back, however, I noticed, the couch I just paid a lot of money for had some major stain damage. It's a light-colored fabric, and now it's loaded with what looks like Cheeto dust. Condiments, fingerprint, dirt, another stain.
Starting point is 00:09:41 I'm not even sure what it is. My question is, is it appropriate to bill her for cleaning it, or is that the risk you take having someone watch your house? Signed, hired a house-sitting slob. Amy, you go. I mean, if you hired them, then, yeah, I feel like they should be responsible if something happened. And if they were watching it, like, for you for free as a friend, a help out or whatever, then I would say that's kind of the price you pay.
Starting point is 00:10:07 Although, if it wasn't disclosed beforehand, like, hey, just FYI, if there's any damages, because I'm sure you probably didn't have a contract of sorts with this person. But that's a tough one. I would, me personally, I probably just eat the loss. But if you can't do that, then I think it's okay to have a conversation. It's a college kid thinking of the money anyway. So good luck billing them. Good point.
Starting point is 00:10:27 And I mean How are you going to prove It was her Although you probably Have a good You just you can't You can not hire her again
Starting point is 00:10:36 Yeah But She doesn't have to pay this bill So I would get You could even say I gotta get this cleaned Or take a picture
Starting point is 00:10:47 Hey do you know how this happened And if she goes Yeah I did it I'm sorry I'm happy to help Pay for it or whatever That's fine But I don't think
Starting point is 00:10:52 You can just hit her With an invoice Honestly You can just not hire her again Eddie? Yeah Like it's, you know, take the loss. I mean, it's Cheeto dust.
Starting point is 00:11:00 I get Cheeto dust in our couch all the time. Well, and another saying, you can't. I get it. Clean it up. But you know what? You're right. Send her a picture and be like, hey, did you do this? No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:11:09 That's not what you do. But don't charge her for it. No, you send a picture and go, hey, do you know how this happened? It could have happened at any point over the last couple weeks. Did you eat Cheetos here? No, that's not it. No. That's not how to do it.
Starting point is 00:11:21 Lunchbox. You spill, you pay. I'm sending her in invoice. What? Invoice? Envoice. You take a picture of it. Say this is how much it costs to clean.
Starting point is 00:11:31 It wasn't here when we went on vacation. It was here when we got back. It was either you or you had someone in our house. You're responsible for it. I think also because hard, it's hard to find good help for anything these days. If you did think every other thing she did was fine and she did a good job at water and plants
Starting point is 00:11:46 or keep an animal alive or then it's also, maybe you just eat it so she can continue to work there because if you charge her, she ain't ever working for you again. Good point. So I would say don't. You can probably get it clean. clean for a hundred bucks. It's a very expensive couch.
Starting point is 00:12:01 I just didn't read how much it was. Get it cleaned. If you hire her again, though, like, put plastic on stuff. No Cheeto rule. Yeah, exactly. All right, just, you got to eat it, though. That's what we say. That's our advice. All right, close the mail bag.
Starting point is 00:12:13 We've got your email, and now it's about to close Bobby's mailback. Spinoffs of TV shows. For example, if I were to say, 16 and pregnant, the spinoff would be Team mom. No clue. Wow, it's going to be hard. This is going to be tough, man. I don't know many.
Starting point is 00:12:34 So I'll give you seven, write your answer down to everybody. Okay. I'll give you the show. You give me the spinoff. One more example. Fear the Walking Dead is the spinoff of what? Walking Dead. Good.
Starting point is 00:12:46 Yes. I'm 2 and O. I'm in trouble. But none of those points count. All right, write your answer down, knees count. Ready? Joey was the spinoff of what? Oh.
Starting point is 00:12:59 I'm in. I'm in for the win. I know it's going to be this easy. It's not. Friends. Friends. Blossom. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:13:08 There was a Joey. That was a spinoff from Friends? Joey Tribiani. Didn't know that existed. Yeah. I thought he was joking. Well, Joey. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:13:18 Yeah. Blossom. Yeah, that's not it, Joey. Okay. All right. Next up. Wow. Better call Saul was a spinoff from.
Starting point is 00:13:27 I'm in. In. In for the win. Breaking Bad. Breaking Bad. Breaking bad. Blossom. Whoa. Breaking Bad. Correct. Good, good, good.
Starting point is 00:13:39 Young Sheldon is a spinoff of what? In. In for the win. Big Bang Theory. Big Bang Theory. Big Bang Theory. Correct. I got a feeling they're about to get real hard. He's luring us in. He's like, oh, here's little crumbs. Then he's going to, ah. You guys are doing great.
Starting point is 00:14:00 See, that's what I mean? Laverne and Shirley, Morkin Mendi, and Joni loves Chachi. are all spinoffs of what? I don't even know what those are. They're all spinoff. Laverne and Shirley, Mork and Mindy, and Joni loves Chachi
Starting point is 00:14:15 are all spinoffs of blank. I'm in. These high school days. It's in his era. Yep. I'm in for the win. And. I put happy days.
Starting point is 00:14:30 Happy days. Happy days. What up? Let's go. Your childhood. No, I don't even know the... Correct. You got it, man.
Starting point is 00:14:37 Only because you had Chachachie. Is she in there? Is Chachi the one that was... Chachi with Scott Beyo who ended up being Charles in charge. That's right. Oh. All right.
Starting point is 00:14:44 There's only three left. Eddie, you're still down one. I know. Maud. Good Times. The Jefferson. Checking in. Gloria.
Starting point is 00:14:54 What? And 704 Houser were all spinoffs of what show. Can you say him again? Sure. It's so fast. Maud. Good Times. The Jefferson's
Starting point is 00:15:05 checking in. Gloria. and 704 Houser. All spinoffs of what show? I've never heard of any of those. Good times. Temporary layoffs. That's it.
Starting point is 00:15:22 That's that show. All right. Five seconds, guys. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. All right. All right. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:15:33 Perfect strangers. Amy. All in the family. Eddie? Hill Street Blues. It's all in the family. Woo! Yes.
Starting point is 00:15:39 I don't know. I've seen. Archie Bunker. Let's go. Him and Mr. Jefferson. And all those people came from that. All from all the family. Wow.
Starting point is 00:15:46 And the time. The Middle and the Adderaldian Parade. Amy's taking off. Yeah. I never even heard of that. Two more. Melrose Place. I'm in.
Starting point is 00:15:57 Wait, wait, wait, wait. Melrose was a spin-off. I'm in. Yo, I used to watch that, too. You did, yo? Yo. And time. Lunchbox?
Starting point is 00:16:14 Beverly Hills 90210. Amy? 9021010. Eddie? Beverly Hills 90210. Correct? Nice job. Family Matters. Did I do that?
Starting point is 00:16:25 It's been a good run, guys. I want to thanks for coming. I have no idea. I'm in. Where? It's worth 10 points? It is not, Eddie. Three points? I'm sorry, Eddie.
Starting point is 00:16:40 Lexbox? I think I got it. Step by step. Incorrect. Eddie. Perfect strangers. Amy? Full house.
Starting point is 00:16:48 Perfect strangers. That's what I had earlier. Why did you keep that? I didn't know that was a real TV show. off your desk lunchbox. If you're going to have props, you have to make sure they're secure. He's going to glue them. We've done that one before, guys.
Starting point is 00:17:01 We talked about this. Amy 6, Eddie 5. One more. One more. One more. One more. Okay. Amy, you don't have to do. If you lose, you have to do nothing. But you can put this up. If Eddie wins, he can be back in it. But if you loses, he has to get in the
Starting point is 00:17:16 Hillary again. I'll get in. Do you want to wage the pillory? I get it. Sure. Or lunchbox? You can get in two minutes. Or Amy, you can just be the winner. You can just be the winner and move on. Okay. You just want to do that?
Starting point is 00:17:25 Is there just one more? No, no, I have a lot more, but if you want to continue the game, you may still lose the game, or you can just be the winner and we retire. I'll be the winner. Winner, there she is that. It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. Yeah, home there's something good.
Starting point is 00:17:49 Eileen Lilly lives in Horseshoe Beach in Florida, and she had to evacuate when Hurricane Idalia came through, and she tried to get everything. She looked through her valuables, let's get everything. We've got to leave. But she did forget two things. her wedding ring and her late husband's wedding ring and it was in a jewelry box.
Starting point is 00:18:05 So she evacuates, she comes back a few days later, her house is completely flooded. Can't get the jewelry box. Can't get the rings. Well, out of nowhere like an angel, a state official shows up and like, hey, we're trying to help people.
Starting point is 00:18:16 Like an angel. I like it. Go ahead. We're trying to get people stuff from their houses. And she says, oh my gosh, if you could please go in there and get my wedding rings.
Starting point is 00:18:24 So that angel goes in, gets the jewelry box and delivers it to Eileen. And Eileen gets her ring. Things. Pretty cool. And not only that, Eileen got a trailer put outside her house, so she lives in an air-conditioned trailer that the state put up there for her so she can live
Starting point is 00:18:39 right by her house. Angels, man. You know what I learned from this story, though? She's not wearing that wedding ring anymore. It's on the prowl. Well, it's her late husband. Her dude died. She's a widow. I know, but don't she still wear your ring? At some point, you may. Maybe have a few different ones. Why are you hard on her?
Starting point is 00:18:55 I mean, there could be multiple... Lady lost it all, and you're taking that from her? Yeah. It's like, some people might find it really hard to wear that. Some people. Every day, even if they're not on the prow. Maybe her finger got fatter.
Starting point is 00:19:05 I don't think about that. I didn't think about that. There's endless possibilities here. All right. That's a good story. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. When you listen to podcasts about AI and tech and the future of humanity,
Starting point is 00:19:19 the hosts always act like they know what they're talking about and they are experts at everything. Here, the Nick Dick and Poll show, we're not afraid to make mistakes. What Cougler did that I think was so unique. Who's he? He's the writer-director. Who do you think he is? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:19:35 You meet the president? You think Canada has a president? You think China has a president? Those law a rouset. God, I love that thing. I use it all the time. I wrap it in a blanket and sing to it at night. It's like the old Polish saying,
Starting point is 00:19:52 not my monkeys, not my circus. Yep. It's a good one. I like that saying. It is an actual Polish saying. Yeah. It is an actual polo name. Better version of Play Stupid Games,
Starting point is 00:20:01 win stupid prizes. Yes. Which, by the way, wasn't Taylor Swift, who said that for the first time. I actually, I thought it was. I got that wrong.
Starting point is 00:20:08 Listen to the Nick, Dick, and Paul show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth with John Hobriant, I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista
Starting point is 00:20:21 Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money. What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here. We break down budgeting, financial discipline,
Starting point is 00:20:35 and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts. Too many of us were never, ever taught. Financial education is not always about, like, I'm gonna get rich. That's great. It's about creating an atmosphere for you to be able to take care of yourself and leave a strong financial legacy for your family.
Starting point is 00:20:56 If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money, this conversation is for you, to hear more. Listen to Money and Wealth with John O'Brien from the Black Effect Network on the I'd Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:21:14 I'm Daniel Jeremiah. And I'm Greg Rosenthal. And this is 40s and free agents. The games may be over, but the NFL never stopped. This is my favorite part of the calendar. Yeah, mine too, Greg. Free agency, the combine,
Starting point is 00:21:28 the NFL draft, ProDays, trades. This is where teams reach. shape their future. This is where Daniel Jeremiah makes his money. On 40s and free agents, we break down every move that actually matters. From my draft evaluations, mock drafts, and team fits to my top 101 free agents and how real rosters are built, cap space, contracts, and all the tough decisions included. You got quarterbacks on the move. We got teams rebuilding. It's hope season. Yeah, absolutely. It's hope season. We'll tell you what's real, what's noise, and what it means for your
Starting point is 00:21:59 favorite team. Smart analysis. real conversations every week. I don't know about the smart, but definitely analysis. Listen to 40s and free agents on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. This woman won about $200,000. She says it's a gift from heaven in the lottery because she used a set of numbers related to her husband who had died. Wow. The Missouri lottery said that the Springfield won't bought a ticket August 16th.
Starting point is 00:22:27 The ticket turned out to be a $199,000 winner. Quote, I lost my husband several years ago, and the numbers are all related to him. him. I think I'm still in shock. It was like a gift from heaven. Love it. From UPI. Now, probably just happened to work out that way, and there are probably a lot of people playing dead people's numbers, and it's not working out, but we caught one here. A message from above, she says.
Starting point is 00:22:45 That's not what I... But could be. It could be. It could be. Absolutely, it could be. I can't. I can't prove it's not. Got it, Amy. Can't prove. No, not got me. I agree. Got them. But I'm doing probabilities here. There's a lot of people with dead loved ones who, they're not, numbers aren't winning. But good for her. I'm I hope if she needed it, she got it.
Starting point is 00:23:03 But Lunchbox, when you hear this happen to somebody, how does that make you feel? It starts making me go through my life and think, okay, what dead people do I know? Like, who in my life has died? And so I need to start playing, like, maybe the day they died, maybe their birthday, or how many years they've been dead. Okay. I would do that with your next one. Figure that out and run it. So, yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:26 Yeah. Well, I mean, that's the only way to go about it. If this, it worked for this lady. why would it not work for me? Well, it probably hasn't worked for 99.999% of people who have tried it. But I liked it. That's where your mind goes. Because I bet you most people play birthdays.
Starting point is 00:23:40 They don't play death days. That would be my guess. Like Scuba plays birthdays. He doesn't play death days. So. I don't think we really remember death days. Like, I guess I have to recall it specifically. I get to it.
Starting point is 00:23:52 But a birthday, like, I just know it. Yeah. Like a death day, I'm like, well, she died. Oh, yeah. But that is the day they went to heaven. So, I mean, that kind of works. Rebirth the day? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:04 Yeah, man, maybe that's their sign. We've all been waiting for... Do some death days. We've always been talking about like, oh, send me a sign from above. And they're like, well, idiot, play the day I died. Signs. Amy saw orb. I forgot about this.
Starting point is 00:24:17 Didn't you see like your dad? Well, I was taking a video and I saw, there was a blue orb in the room. But why are you saying, oh, boy, like you don't believe it when you just get this whole... I know. I know I'm contradicting myself right now, but get out of it. here. It was also in the room that my dad, you know, lived in for like a day before he, you know, was put on life support. That was all very, very weird. But it was literally in that room. Let's pause. The orb was above his desk that I inherited. Let's pause. Where were you exactly?
Starting point is 00:24:48 What exactly did you see? What time of day was it? Nighttime of sitting in a chair across the room. And my cat was laying on top of my dad's desk. And I was like, oh, I need to get a video of her. She looks so cute. And my friend and I were in there. And she was like, oh, yeah. So I start taking it and I see the cat, but then I see this blue orb, like hovering all around. And then I kind of go over to this other part of the room with my camera. And no, no orb, but above the desk floating around was a blue orb. And it was blue, which, what kind of bird is my dad? Blue Jay.
Starting point is 00:25:20 That's right. Do you have a video of it? I do. Can I see it? Yeah. But why is it always on video? Why can't we see the orb? That to me is more believable.
Starting point is 00:25:26 Well, it's like we can't see certain colors that animals can see. I can't see colors that you can see because I'm colorblind. So we hear different frequencies. We see different frequencies. But I think the orb usually comes with a camera lens because that's what it creates. And that wasn't a bug. I'm watching. There's a blue.
Starting point is 00:25:43 It doesn't go. But I mean, are you? That's bizarre. What do you see, Bones? Are you sure like the kid didn't flick the light on? No, I see it. It is weird. I don't know what it is.
Starting point is 00:25:55 It looks like a giant, show Eddie in lunchbox. It looks like a giant blue moth. It's not. It's like a humongous blue moth. This is the desk? It's a laser pointer. There's no laser pointer in the room. Oh, yeah, that's a light.
Starting point is 00:26:07 It's a reflection of the light. Yeah. Totally. Yeah, because the light's on this side. Same place. Amy, where was that big? Because that's, wherever you're pointed is where the orb is. That's not true.
Starting point is 00:26:19 She moves off of it. I know, and then it goes away. I don't know why I'm fighting for the orb. I don't know either. We neither. It looked weird. It looks like it might be him. That looks like the UFOs that I saw from my house.
Starting point is 00:26:31 Prove it's not him. Yeah, prove it's not her dad. Whatever, I don't know. It's kind of crazy. Did you think it was a light coming from something else? Well, now that, I mean, there is a lamp over there, so I'll have to go, maybe I'll go see it. But he may not always be around. The lamp will, though, and the orb will show up.
Starting point is 00:26:47 Eddie saw UFO once, but it was actually the light from his phone. My wife's phone on the bed. Yeah, on the end of the window. True. Speaking of Eddie, let's see get the scam alert, scam alert! We have an update here. So the scam alert was what? I got a letter in the mail that said that the government owed me $3,000.
Starting point is 00:27:05 All I had to do was go to a website, claim it, and it's mine. So we're afraid for you, scam alert. You guys said go back and make sure it says dot org right because if it said gov, right? Dotgov, yeah. Oh, crap. Anybody can buy a dot org. Isn't that designated for like 501c3s or something? No.
Starting point is 00:27:22 No, it can be, if it's just available, you can get it. Guys, you said dot org. No, we said.org. We said dot go. Oh, no. Why, what happened? I think it said. Dot org and I claimed it.
Starting point is 00:27:31 But what did you give them? That's okay. All my info. It said put all your info in here and we'll process it. Not.gov. Dot org. Organization. Let me look up.
Starting point is 00:27:43 It could be. Dot org, but I know that when I have been given money from the government is dot gov. Let me double check. God, this is stupid. Dude, if I got scammed again, I went back to it, I told my wife like, All right, we need to look for the ORG.
Starting point is 00:27:58 No, G-O-V. So let's say I wanted to buy Butcrack Lobby.org. Could I? Let's see. I can get butt-cracklobbby.org for $9.99. You can buy an org easily. Okay.
Starting point is 00:28:17 You can't buy a dot-gov, though. Why don't you check your history? Look at all these you can buy. You can buy org. dot CO.sux. Dot online. Dot shop. There's a lot of them.
Starting point is 00:28:33 The one you can't buy is dot gov. Oh, it says here it was originally intended for nonprofits, but it's since expanded. Yeah. Yeah, even scams.
Starting point is 00:28:42 I can buy the buttcrack lobby. Yeah. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. It was dot go. Oh, my gosh. This is underwear all over again. But no, but this is a good way, though. This is the good thing.
Starting point is 00:28:52 Okay, it was, I double checked. It is dotgov, and I did submit all my information, and they said it's being processed. You will get your check. in 30 days. Do we think he'll get a check? Yes.
Starting point is 00:29:02 Dude, if you get $3,000 out of nowhere? But that's crazy. Where was that money sitting this whole time? And does everyone get this letter? No. Did, it should be easy to identify the governments on the internet using a dot-gov domain shows you're official. The public shouldn't have to guess what of the site is official.
Starting point is 00:29:19 And you're sure it's dot-gov? Just double-check. Dot-gov. Oh, thank goodness. Thank goodness. And here's the thing, too, like, why send in a letter? Yeah, who's opening a letter? Call me.
Starting point is 00:29:29 No, I didn't answer that either. There's just no way to get me. I'll be honest. Just send it to me. There's no way to get a hold of me without me thinking it's a scam. I wonder if partly they kind of hope, well, we did our best.
Starting point is 00:29:38 We reached out. We're hoping they don't get it, receive it because then we get to keep the... If we don't claim it, they keep it? Yeah, it's like the lottery. If you don't claim the lottery, they just keep it all. That's brutal.
Starting point is 00:29:46 Let us know when that money comes in. I will, dude. Or when your identity is stolen. Either way, I'll let you know. On the phone, Lisa and Virginia. Hey, Lisa, good morning. I am very excited because I bought three tickets to your show in D.C. this weekend for myself and my two kids. Suddenly I'm a little bit nervous about bringing the kids.
Starting point is 00:30:11 I'm wondering if we're going to show up and it's all adults or what the vibe normally is. First of all, there's no profanity, no bad words. So as far as kids, it's fine. There are always kids in the audience. But, I mean, it's a comedy show. I mean, how old are your kids? How old is your youngest? 11.
Starting point is 00:30:27 Okay, that'd be good. If she was like, or he was like four, I would say maybe not the show, because again, you're doing spoken word and comedy. But again, there's music. There's videos. So, and there are also kids there. They're always kids there. Not a ton. It's not, you know, the wiggles, but there are kids there.
Starting point is 00:30:45 So you will be fine, Lisa, and I think your kids will have a pretty good time. I appreciate that. Virginia Beach Friday night, Washington, D.C. on Saturday night. You guys can get tickets at bobbybones.com. Coming up, someone on the show is concerned for someone else on the show, but they want it to be totally anonymous. So, no, it's concerned. It's not tea spilling. But why are they concerned about?
Starting point is 00:31:08 But is the concern a way to spill tea? Right. It's concerned. We will talk about it next. The person on the show wants to remain anonymous, but they have a concern for the show. So they didn't want to make it about them. They just wanted to express what they were concerned about. So we took the voice changer and changed their voice so you can't tell who it is.
Starting point is 00:31:29 And here is that person saying what they're worried about with the show. I would like to report Amy for cornering artists when they leave the studio. She has a habit of doing this. I've seen it on numerous occasions. They go into the green room or somewhere in the hallway. And Amy is there and talks and talks and talks. please keep this anonymous I just want you to know what's going on
Starting point is 00:31:56 and I want you to put a stop to it I know exactly who that is Hey we're keeping an anonymous here The way they're talking Keeping it anonymous here Amy This does not happen on the regular At all whatsoever
Starting point is 00:32:07 I think that they're Go ahead If this is about the other day I was getting content Something for Women of I Heart Country That we needed to do With who? Or wanted to do
Starting point is 00:32:16 This anonymous person was talking about What artist do you think? I believe they're talking about Ashley McBride. Okay. Was it clear through Ashley McBride's people to do that?
Starting point is 00:32:24 It is, is it, Eddie? Was it you? No, trust me. It wasn't me. Yeah, okay. So you're saying that didn't happen? It wasn't what the anonymous?
Starting point is 00:32:33 No, I don't. Corner artist. The lot of times I stayed here in my desk. Hold on. There's another message. Okay. If you're hearing this, it's because Amy denies it happened.
Starting point is 00:32:42 I know she's going to deny it happened, but it really did. Ashley McBride was in the green room packing up when Amy entered the room and placed herself between the door and Ashley McBride. So Ashley McBride had nowhere to go. She had her back up against the cabinet where the snacks are.
Starting point is 00:33:00 Amy had the door block and Amy proceeded to talk and talk and talk and talk. There was nowhere for Ashley to go. So dumb. She was stuck. And Amy had her claws on her and wasn't going to let her go. And by clause I mean her voice of just talking and talking and rambling. I was a witness, and I just want to say it wasn't a good look. Don't deny it.
Starting point is 00:33:25 Don't deny it. It's funny. Amy, just say it. Admit it. You did it. Okay, that person's anonymous. Out of the gate, I said it was Ashley McBride, and I said why. And there's no way I was standing between Ashley and the door.
Starting point is 00:33:39 Well, I just want to keep that totally anonymous. Yeah. It's crazy. Amy can't say anything anymore because anonymous just covered everything. He even called it. You're going to deny everything. No, but he's wrong. I didn't.
Starting point is 00:33:48 Correct. No. Lunchbox is. wrong. What do you mean? Whoa. What are you talking about? How do you know that's him?
Starting point is 00:33:55 I just feel like it's lunchbox maybe. Oh, how? We keep it anonymous here. Some of the word choices, like how he spoke is how lunchbox speaks. Now you're a detective? Yeah, I was listening for food.
Starting point is 00:34:08 The anonymous listener just said we should watch out for you. And if you say you didn't do it, you didn't do it, but just be aware of it. Out of the gate, I told you, I know what they're talking about, Ashton McBride. And then the next clip is him saying,
Starting point is 00:34:19 I'm going to deny it and not say it. And it wasn't a cornered situation. Amen. Good. We're all aware now, right? So what's Amy going to do? She's going to stop doing? I just needed to be aware that somebody anonymous is worried about it.
Starting point is 00:34:31 Okay. Got it. No, it is. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Most women are still taking their husband's last name. I know. Yeah. We had that discussion.
Starting point is 00:34:42 I was like, you don't have to take my last name. But I mean, I think that some people are thinking like, oh, maybe the thing to do is not. But 80% of women are like, yes. I am excited about taking my husband's last name and I want to do it. I'm surprised it's only 80%. You think it's more? No, no, no. I would have thought it was more.
Starting point is 00:34:59 That's one out of five that aren't, which is great. But I don't think you should have to take my last name. I don't own you. But I told my wife this, I said, hey, you don't have to take my last name. If you love your last name, keep it. And her thing was, when we have kids, it's just going to be confusing that way. And so that's why I changed my last name. I'm saying it now on the show.
Starting point is 00:35:15 Well, there's other categories people can fall into. Like, there's a certain percentage that keep their maiden name. like 5%, 5% 5% hyphenate, and then another 5% the men are taking the wives' last name. I think if there's a much cooler last name, I would be down for it. I don't care about her having to take my name
Starting point is 00:35:34 because it's how to, I don't think tradition for tradition sake is good. However, I got her point. I want to have the same last name for kids. But if her last name was like rock star, well, that's, I would change my name. Why not? She'd have the cooler last name.
Starting point is 00:35:49 Or if I had a last name that was like, poop head. Regardless, if first was Smith, I would change out a poop head into Smith. I think it's just situational. All right. So we've talked about the love languages before. A lot of people know some of them touch, quality time, acts of service. But now there's texting love languages. How people like to be communicated with in text. Yes. And there's a relationship therapist. Her name's Charlene Douglas and she came up with them and she says you can even add this to your dating profile so that whoever is thinking about dating you or matching with you, they know, how to best communicate with you over text.
Starting point is 00:36:22 Is it just romantic or is it all? I think it could be all. I think you could add it to your profile or you could just use it in your relationships. Direct. Here's what we need to do. Execute. End.
Starting point is 00:36:36 To the point? Well, it's like I'm not, we're not really having a chit chat. But I usually only text. But I don't do a lot of texting for the sake. And I don't have a lot of texts that are just read like, hey man, what's up? It's all direct.
Starting point is 00:36:48 Like, what do you need for me? You got it. Yeah, that's not one of the. of the texting love languages. Okay, eggplants. Be direct, be direct. Definitely. There is an emoji one. Like, they like to communicate with gifts or emojis. Eggplant. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:37:00 Peach bought the peach for sure. And then, p. Yeah. The water. Stop. There's text of affirmation, which this person loves to be messaged all day long. It'll never be 12. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:37:13 It'll always be 12. Whatever. Yeah, go ahead. And there's quality texter. They want detailed messages. Yeah. So opposite of you. There's text of service. Like, hey, they want to hear from you if you're reaching out to make plans. Okay, I would be involved in that one then. Text of service?
Starting point is 00:37:29 Yeah, like, what are we going to do? Why are we texting each other? Okay, cool. I'm glad we are, but let's figure out what we're going to do. Oh, yeah, you are. You're text of service because it's used for practical reasons only. Yeah, yeah. And then there's light touch, which means, sure you can text,
Starting point is 00:37:41 but I would really rather talk to you in real life. That's not me. I'm the opposite of that. Heavy touch. Let's stay on text. Let's keep it heavy. All right, what else? Congratulations to Hank William,
Starting point is 00:37:50 Junior. He just, I got married for the fourth time. How old Hank Jr? He's 74 years old and he found love with Brandy, who's 43. So congratulations to them. She better like cigar smoke in her house. Yeah. I'm sure she's aware. We learned that the hard way here.
Starting point is 00:38:09 Don't go watch Hank Jr. on the show. I was always a Hank Jr. fan. He came in and he wanted to smoke in here. He's just like, we can't do that. And then, you know, it's up there on the internet. It is funny. It is funny. And it was both of us just being a little bullheaded at the same time.
Starting point is 00:38:24 Yeah, and then what did he say? Am I done here? Can I leave? Yeah, something like that. And I said, no. Am I done? I said, no, sit right there. Wait, tell me this. Tell me that.
Starting point is 00:38:33 Okay, now you're done. What a day. Okay, is that it? Yep, I mean, that's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Stay home, it's not been good.
Starting point is 00:38:45 On the morning of August 23rd, at doll rock diner in rollette texas a woman walks in sits down at the table says i'll take an omelet hash browns toast and some water eats her whole meal i'll take my check please waitress brings the check she signs it and leaves when the waitress goes back to the table it's a two thousand dollar tip no name, no picture, no recognition, just an angel tipper. You guys with angels today. You heard you do Angel Eddie this morning. He knew Mind Had Angel, he knew it.
Starting point is 00:39:26 So then, later at lunchtime, the Mexican restaurant across the street, guess what? Same lady walks in. Order some food? Don't have her order. Don't know if it was enchiladas, fajitas, or tacos. She leaves another $2,000 tip. her third $2,000 tip in the area in the last month.
Starting point is 00:39:46 Who this lady is? Nobody knows. One day, hopefully, we will. I'm sure they're cameras. Like, I'm sure they can find out who it is. But she doesn't want to be recognized. Which is crazy. I know, but he's making it sound like it's like, he can't believe that she doesn't want to be known.
Starting point is 00:40:01 Like, you got to like snap a pig, look, $2,000 tip and then bounce. Have you giving it? Be like, I did this. Yeah. I'm going to do that next time I'm going to go somewhere. Next time you give it $2,000. Do it, $2,000. When I do a big tip,
Starting point is 00:40:12 I'm going to put a picture up. Like what's big? Yeah, I think it would be awesome. I'd love for you to do that. Yeah, but it needs to be a big, big one on $2,000. Yeah, big tip. Oh, like how much is big? Like, $100 is big?
Starting point is 00:40:21 That's big. Yeah, depending on the bill. You want to do that, be like, I'm doing this. Who care? I don't care what you do. If somebody else can have their life enriched a bit, you take all the credit you want. Okay.
Starting point is 00:40:31 It didn't cost me anything for you to take credit, but it helps somebody else. Okay. I'm going to do it. Okay, cool. We're with you. But the only problem is if I show my receipt, Are you going to be able to see my credit card number or is that?
Starting point is 00:40:41 No, because your whole credit card number won't be able to. Okay, cool. Also, you can just black it out. I didn't think about that. Yeah, yeah. Put it in story first, but don't upload it and use the tools to black it out and then save it. Smart. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:40:54 We got it, dude. I'm going to be a tell me something good. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.
