Starting point is 00:01:45 Welcome to Wednesday show. Morning studio. All right, here's how we're going to do the get-to-know this morning. Everybody have their phones up. Got it. Pull up Google. I want to know the last thing you Googled and don't lie. Let's go around the room.
Starting point is 00:02:11 Everybody can be a part of this. The last thing you Googled, and if someone decides they want to call fact check, they can fact check. How do we do that? All you do is literally go to Google and tap where you put it in there. You'll see a whole list. Don't delete anything. Lunchbox, what's your first one up? Can I take strep medicine seven hours after the first dose?
Starting point is 00:02:35 Yeah, I heard you were sick again. No, no, that wasn't me. I didn't have strep. Yeah, but you've been coughing and acting weird. If there's somebody who's always sick. It's him. It's him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:44 Okay. Well, how'd that turn out? I was inconclusive. Like, people were saying, oh, you know, it depends on the dosage, and it's really up to you. And it's really, they say every 12 hours to keep the medicine the same level in your bloodstream constantly. And so. And who has trapped? My wife.
Starting point is 00:03:03 Amy, last thing you Google. Things to write on walls like Bible verses when framing a house. Oh, oh, boy. Oh, boy. Tell me more? Well, my friend is building a house and she was like, oh, I want to do that thing where I write messages before. Oh, this is it for your new house.
Starting point is 00:03:23 No, but I was like, oh, here, I found this article and I sent it to her. And now I've flagged it for myself. Like if I do any kind of renovation, I want to do that. You can even do it under paint. Like, say you're changing the paint color in a room. You can write it on the walls and then paint over it so that it's there. Got it. That's pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:03:39 Mm-hmm. Yeah. Eddie? Los Angeles Gorillas So apparently This is kind of dumb But apparently like On Draft Kings you can bet on e-games
Starting point is 00:03:49 Well you were looking to bet on people playing video games And the team was the Los Angeles guerrillas Yeah they were a call of duty team Out of Los Angeles And they were like a heavy favorite And I'm like, who are these guys? So I googled Los Angeles Did you bet them?
Starting point is 00:04:01 No, I didn't. I can't do that yet I don't know that market Morgan Oh mine says Anne Hathaway age I was watching an idea of you and I wanted to know how old she was. How old is she? Idea of you?
Starting point is 00:04:13 Yeah, the new, like, rom-com with her in it, and she looks so good. She's 41. Raymond, do you hit yours? Yeah, mine's really boring. It is the Sorrento Peninsula. It is the Amalfi Coast, Italy. I'm just trying to see exactly where the spot is.
Starting point is 00:04:29 If I ever do go venture out there, how I see the Amalfi Coast. He's a dreamer. He's always dreaming. He's always dreaming. Like, he was all, like, I saw him on the, on that web page where you can live stream all over the world and like he'll go to like Milan and be like ah there's a live stream of the street of Milan so you just check out cool places yeah and so that if I ever do go there it's something I've seen before I'm not overwhelmed by how much new stuff there is mine says do
Starting point is 00:04:55 bidders have alcohol oh do that yeah do they do they I didn't know and I like to order if I'm at a restaurant if I want a mock tell I'll say hey can I get this in a mocktail but if everything listed is alcohol on it just about you really can't have a mock of just orange juice. Gets there are eight other things added that I'll have alcohol. For the most part, bitters do have alcohol, yes. Oh. But I didn't know if bitters was just like something that they add for the flavor that I could
Starting point is 00:05:21 have in my mottetail. Is it bitter? I didn't have it. I don't know. You got alcohol. You got alcohol. You got alcohol. You got alcohol.
Starting point is 00:05:28 So that was it. Do you guys still have yours up? Quickly, what was your second one? Oh, yeah. Quickly, what was your second one? My second one was Alexander Sarr. The French basketball player is going to go number one in the draft to. It's the worst basketball draft.
Starting point is 00:05:40 NBA. Amy? Redfin.com. What's Redfin? Real estate. Looking for a house. Got it. I'm just seeing
Starting point is 00:05:47 if anything's new on the market. Eddie? Sam Rubin? Who is he? You tell us. You Googled him. Oh, he died.
Starting point is 00:05:55 He recently died. He was a Los Angeles newscaster and I saw him on Instagram. Oh yeah. I saw him too. And I googled Sam Rubin. Lunchbox?
Starting point is 00:06:02 Chutzpa. What's that? Let me tell you. Why did you go Google it? I must been part of connections on one of my puzzles and I didn't know what it meant. And so... Puzzles.
Starting point is 00:06:16 Yeah, yeah. Extreme self-confidence or audacity. Love him or hate him. You have to admire Cohen's Chutzpah. All right, Morgan. Dolly Parton Bar. I was looking up the bar in Nashville. Ray? Yeah, boring again. It's
Starting point is 00:06:32 baseball savant and it's stats you wouldn't see normally if you went to ESPN. This one is bat speed, velocity, launch angle. And the top guy is Joey Otani. It looks like he's going to win the home run race. There we go. Thank you all.
Starting point is 00:06:45 I feel like I know you just a little bit better. All right, that's the get-to-know for today. Let's open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it all the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Hello, Bobby Bones. I just learned that a bunch of my close friends are in a group chat and I'm not in it. Some of these people have been my friends for years.
Starting point is 00:07:08 I introduced a few of them to each other. I can't help but think that this has something about how they feel about me. What should I do about it? Should I confront them? Signed, friend on the outside, looking in. I'm not in the show group chat, but I prefer that that way. I know all you guys have your own little group chat. I like not being in it.
Starting point is 00:07:27 But we don't talk about you. I don't care if you do. I think you should have a safe space to be able to talk about whatever, but I don't want to ever be in that. Well, but that's necessary for us to have for updates and different things. It's not like... Don't get your feelings hurt, man. Please. Trust me, I'm just saying again, this is not me sending it, wanting to be in that one.
Starting point is 00:07:44 I do not want to be in that one. I'm saying clearly, this is not me. That's a difficult thing to hear. I wonder if it started, though, because maybe they were planning a party for you, and then they just forgot to... Maybe it was about you. You think? Oh, this is where the let them theory could come into play.
Starting point is 00:07:59 Is that a list? Let them or... No. You just... Okay, let them. Then don't let it bother you. Let them. It's going to bother.
Starting point is 00:08:07 Okay, this is what I would do. do. Let me just say, let's say Ray and Morgan and Scoobo Steve had a group chat and there were my three greatest friends and I wasn't in it. I would go, hey Morgan, why am I not in your group chat? That feels weird. Oh, we just really wanted to talk about you. There you go. I would just ask as long as you would. Well, that just feels like what it would be. Yeah, as long as you don't make it a dramatic, let's sit down and talk about this, you literally, with 80% situations that are awkward, just go, hey, what's up with this? And it's like, oh, that, well, that's a misunderstanding.
Starting point is 00:08:39 Boom. Sometimes it's not that. But most times it is just that. You can just go to the point. Hey, Morgan, you guys have a group chat? How am I not even in that group chat? And then you'll learn real quick what exactly that is. And then she's not on our heels thinking, well, he's really upset or dramatic.
Starting point is 00:08:53 He's just confused. What of the answers? Yeah. You'll know by their answer why you're not in their group chat. Okay. But I don't think they're really going to say, oh, because we were going to talk about you. It literally could be all three of us were Boston Red Sox. fans and that was created as a group. You don't know. Stop assigning negative things to things that aren't
Starting point is 00:09:13 negative yet. Oh, so this is where data versus drama is helpful. Because like you're making it more dramatic because you don't have the information. You don't know everything. So that's where the drama is. But the data is your friends that you introduced have a text without you. Let them. Or what you could do is start, let's say there's three friends. Start a group text with two and leave one out. Start with the other two leave one out. Start with the other two leave one out. and find out. That's just too much work. Yeah, so it's exhausting.
Starting point is 00:09:40 It'd be fun for a minute. Just go, hey, why am I not in your group text? That's weird. What do you got to do? Talk about me? And you'll learn real quick, why, why? So don't make everything so awkward and dramatic. It doesn't have to be.
Starting point is 00:09:52 And don't associate everything with negativity unless you get burned a bunch of times and then it's just natural. That's how I do it. But you could work on assuming the best. All right, that's the mail bag. Close it up. We got your email and we've round the clothes Bobby's mail bag.
Starting point is 00:10:11 Lunchbox is now, I guess, kind of infatuated with Morgan and her relationship. He wants to prove she's in love already, which, I mean, it would be great if she was. I don't understand the negative part of it. No, no, no, moving too fast. Moving too fast. It's very scary. She does this a lot. Like, she's getting into Abbey territory.
Starting point is 00:10:27 I've never done this before. That's what I mean. I meant to say, you're getting the Abby territory and this is not a good look. It's, it's... What is she doing that you think is not a good look? She just announced on our show that she is in a relationship now. She has an official boyfriend. What's the problem?
Starting point is 00:10:40 She is giving up time with friends that she has known for over a decade just so she can rush home to see this dude. She flew to Dallas on a Friday, got there at like 3 p.m. It was out of there. She went to a concert, stayed at her friends. Why do you care? Listen, just listen to me. She's very invested in life and her timeline. How long have you known this friend that you went to see?
Starting point is 00:11:04 I've known her since I was in middle school. Okay, middle school. So how often do you see her? Once a year? Once a year, she flew down to Dallas, stays at her house, gets her at three on a Friday, flew out at 7 a.m. Saturday. Oh, Saturday. Yeah, yeah, oh, Amy, yeah, Saturday. She had to get back to your dude.
Starting point is 00:11:22 I think you're going to say Sunday. No, no, no, no, I had to get home to see the dude. Wait, how do you know this? He's assuming this. No, she told me. No, I did not. You said you flew out at 7 a.m. I told you my flight time, sure.
Starting point is 00:11:33 Go ahead. What would you like to say to correct town? She said, oh, I miss my animals. I actually. Get out of here. Get out of here. I had been traveling the last three weekends prior to that. And this was a last minute work trip.
Starting point is 00:11:44 I wanted to be home. I asked them if I can get in and out. And they said, yes, you can. My friend was even leaving the next day too. So it was quick trip for her also. So it worked out perfectly. And it had nothing to do with the dude.
Starting point is 00:11:55 I genuinely wanted to get back to my dog and cat because I'd been gone for three weeks. So it had nothing to do with your new boyfriend at all. Not at all. Like that was just a bonus. I was going to get a bonus. You got added in there. But who cares? I'm just saying, you are having.
Starting point is 00:12:09 I'm happy for her. I'm happy for her, but man, you are getting on Abby to the jury. I did not fly home for him. I could have stayed. Well, also, we should point out, it sounds like her seeing her friend was a bonus, because now we're learning it's a, it was a work trip. Yeah. Okay, so she got to see her friend as a bonus. Yeah, if she's flying somewhere, she can spend more than four hours with her friend.
Starting point is 00:12:30 I'm not like you. I don't take advantage of the work trips. I go in, I get my work done, and I leave. Fair enough. That's a good point because he does. Why would you not, like, you're there. This is a friend since middle school. Why are you obsessed with her relationship?
Starting point is 00:12:40 I'm not. Or her travel schedule. I'm worried. I'm worried. She's becoming Abby. Have you seen, have you met her boyfriend yet? Yeah. Do you know what he looks like?
Starting point is 00:12:49 No idea. Do you know what he does? Yeah. Where's a uniform? That's all. Do you know so far? Yeah. I know that he disappears for weeks at a time.
Starting point is 00:12:58 That's what I do know. We all know that. It disappears. Like goes to war. You want to go one more round of you asked no questions to Morgan about her boyfriend? Yeah. Mystery man in uniform? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:08 One Eddie? Yeah. Go ahead. Is he tall or short? No, remember, I think he should. Oh, my gosh. Oh, waste of question. Wait, no, no. He gets on the feel of punishment. We talked about that. Wait, are you? It wasn't right now. He's like 5-8 or 5-9.
Starting point is 00:13:20 Oh, my gosh. Because Bobby even goes, oh, and then I go, Morgan's five foot. And Morgan goes, he's a short king. Yeah. That was a different segment so we can't punish you if his same segment. But great question, Eddie. Hey, I'm not obsessed with Morgan in her love life. Amy, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:13:33 Does he wear a uniform? That's not funny. Yeah. Does he ever wear the uniform when he's not away? Oh, like, no. Okay. So he only wears the uniform when he's away. I thought you meant like, does he dress up in it for her?
Starting point is 00:13:51 No, that's where you think. Amy. That one like, like when he's at home, when he's at home and he's not away, does he ever wear the uniform? Okay. Yeah. Because there are a lot of things he could be. A lot of professions wear uniforms. But they also go away and come back for a couple weeks at a time.
Starting point is 00:14:08 Mm-hmm. Lunchbox, you have a question? Trying to think of something. Well, I would ask, like, does he have facial hair? No? Well, he could, but he doesn't. Well, yeah, he's a man. Not normally, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:20 Well, I just think he doesn't keep the facial hair. He's gone through puberty. He could if he doesn't shave. Well, I was trying to be literal. Are there plans for him to meet your family? This summer, yes. Okay, this summer. Wow.
Starting point is 00:14:34 It's almost summer. Yeah. Final question. Will? Okay, final question. Why is he making his Instagram debut? Ask that. I've seen his hand on Instagram.
Starting point is 00:14:45 I know. Amy, asked when he's going to make his facial. Is he allowed to be on Instagram? Yes. Okay. Well, because some people aren't. Yeah, like when his hands on there, so he's on there. Well, no, that's not the same thing. Ooh, this may be too leading because people can find him.
Starting point is 00:15:01 But have you strategically? No, she hadn't followed him. Okay. Do you follow him? Maybe. Maybe not. Oh, of course she does. But he could be private. That would be the giveaway, though.
Starting point is 00:15:17 Let me see. See, that's what I'm saying. You go search. I have like a couple hundred followers, so you have to go through quite a few. Can we do one more? Go ahead. Okay. Like, is there, everything has been really pretty perfect.
Starting point is 00:15:28 Oh, if you have a fight yet? Great question. Yeah, or like, has there been something negative? That could fall into this category of like, what's something like, eh, that's happened? It's got to be a yes or no question. Okay. Have there been any icks? Disagrements.
Starting point is 00:15:43 Yeah. Is there anything that you're not attracted to? Any icks? Like even just one little thing. No, he's perfect. Ickis. He's not perfect. But no, no, like, icks. No, no, X.
Starting point is 00:15:55 We're still on honeymoon stage. We're still on love is in the air stage. Okay. Well, and I have experience with dating. Like when I was married to someone that had a job where they left a lot, your honeymoon phase is longer. Because you're gone on life. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:10 Like every time they return, it's like honeymoon and then they leave. He is back for a while. So this could be the time period where those icks could come out, but they haven't yet. He's back for a while. Yeah. Well, MLS season's over. Soccer's over. He's an athlete.
Starting point is 00:16:26 Never know. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. Well, lunch talks is going to be annoyed because there's a toddler that's way more famous than him now. Baby Azai, who has captured hearts. It's a funny way to start the story. In North Carolina.
Starting point is 00:16:44 as the happiness director at Target. Target even posted about this one-year-old's new position on their TikTok. It has seven million views at this point, maybe even more. What does this baby do this so happy? Cap, like waves at people when they come in. He's the happiness director. Are they paying this baby? Yeah, like eight hours of this child labor.
Starting point is 00:17:02 What are we doing here? He's just a regular visitor at the store with his mom, and he takes his shift very seriously. His duties during his special day as honorary happiness director. included greeting staff and customers, assisting with inventory checks, and of course, enjoying some playtime with toys. He wears khakis and a red jersey with a target they put on it. So cute. He's a cute kid.
Starting point is 00:17:25 And I don't know that he's more famous than Lunchbox. So I'm looking at his followers. Baby Zazai, he has 17,000 followers. That's nothing compared to this guy. Nothing. Baby LB. Well, what's Lunchbox's most viral video? Well, if we're defining it by that, then yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:41 Well, his most viral video is a video that he's not in. Correct. Oh, that's right. It's a Peyton Manning, like, walking off a bus. But it's on lunchbox's account. It's just lunchbox's not in it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But yeah, maybe I'm a sight.
Starting point is 00:17:52 Yeah, good. Happiness, director. That's it. Tell me something good. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. What's up? I'm Miles Turner.
Starting point is 00:18:04 And I'm Brianna Stewart. And our podcast, Game Recognized Game has never been done before. Two active players giving you a real look at our lives and what we actually think, on and off the court. Nothing's off limits. We talk trade requests. What's the vibe of that when it's like your star player is like, well, I want to leave. And then actually now I'm going to stick. We talk tanking.
Starting point is 00:18:26 I mean, honestly, like, I might get in trouble for this answer, but I think it's like definitely happening in the WBA. And yeah, we talk about our mistakes too. They pulled me to the side and was like, hey, man, we got a call last night, man. You can't be rolling around the city like this tonight before games, no, you know, doing this, doing whatever. And of course, family stories. And I'll be like, mommy, why did you miss that? Mommy, do you play basketball? Check out Game Recognized game with Stoian Miles on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:19:01 This is Julian Edelman, host of games with names. On our latest episode, we got comedian Blake Anderson from Workaholics and The Hilarious This Is Important Podcast. Let's go. We did beat them in improv. You had an improv against the team? Yes. We would pull up. Their schools would be there with signs for us.
Starting point is 00:19:19 It's competition. What you would win is a bottle of gold slager. James Fester threw it out of a van because he didn't want us drinking it. For more games with names, visit the IHeart Radio app or wherever you get your podcast. Readers, Katie's finalists, publicists. We have an incredible new episode this week for you guys. We have our girl Hillary Duff in here, and we can't wait for you to hear this episode. They put on Lizzie McGuire 2 a.m. Video on Demand.
Starting point is 00:19:43 This guy's... 2 a.m. to a in, whatever time it is, Lizzie McGuire. And I'm like, a wild batch you were with. It was like a first, like, closet moment from me where I was like, I don't feel like she's hot, like the rest of that. No, no, no. I was like, she's beautiful.
Starting point is 00:19:55 But I'm appreciating her in a different way than these boys are. I'm not like, but listen to Los Angeles on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. We've rolled the dice as we played Bobby Feud. Amy will go first? We asked 2,000 Bobby Bone Show listeners.
Starting point is 00:20:17 What's your favorite food combo? What's your favorite food combo? We have 2,000 Bobby Votional listeners. Amy, go ahead. Chips and queso. Show me chips and queso. No, chips and queso did not make the top ten. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Chips and salsa. Show me salsa. I like queso so much better than salsa. So much better. Is that not everybody? Nah. Salsa's the OG. Put the salsa in the case, though.
Starting point is 00:20:53 No, no, no, no. I don't even care about that. I'm not saying, eh, no, no. I mean, I can do that. But, like, the cheese is better than the salt, the tomato. Shees didn't sit very well. So, I'm like, I thought that. All right, lunchbox, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:21:02 That's six points. Go ahead. Hamburger and fries. Show me, hamburger and French fries. Number three answer. Dang. All right. 2,000 Bobby Bone Show listeners.
Starting point is 00:21:15 What is your favorite food combo? Cheese and crackers. Okay. Cheese and crackers. Number seven answer. Okay. Now I'm in trouble. Give me steak and potato.
Starting point is 00:21:37 Good girl and boy need some steak and potato. We have 16 strong points, though. Eddie, over to you. Give me macaroni and cheese. Macaroni and cheese. For one answer, good job. Osso bones, give me spaghetti and meatballs. Skaghetti and meatballs.
Starting point is 00:21:54 No. Sorry. Round two, points are doubled. Amy, I'll come back to you. There are four answers off the board. Best food combos, mac and cheese off the board, hamburger and fries off the board, chips and salsa off the board, and cheese and crackers off the board. Is a food combo like... We don't answer questions here.
Starting point is 00:22:14 Like a condiment. Oh, chos, salsa, salsa. What are your words? Okay, what about... Okay, pizza and ranch. I have that. Please be the number 10 answer. I don't know that it would be a food combo, though, because I think you would eat.
Starting point is 00:22:31 I don't know. I don't have that. Whatever. It's probably not. Yeah. But you're right. There's a little bit of inconsistency because salsa, I guess you wouldn't eat by itself, huh? Nah, not really.
Starting point is 00:22:43 Okay, but, okay. Lunchbox over to you. Yeah. Eggs and bacon. Ooh, good ones. Show me. Bacon and egg. All right.
Starting point is 00:22:57 Sandwich and chips. Chips and a sandwich. Chips in a sandwich. Much about 20 points now. He just gave me an idea. Eddie, we got a food combo list here. You got five answers off the board. This is very common across the pond.
Starting point is 00:23:14 Give me fish and chips. That's a dumb answer. It's our listeners. We don't have listeners in London? Not enough to fill out the survey. We got like two that said that. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:23:24 Two thousand Bobby Motion on listeners. This is the last round. Point of trouble, Amy. Go ahead. Milk and cookies. Milk and cookies. Oh. The five answers.
Starting point is 00:23:33 worth 15 points Amy's in the mix. Hey, she's so good. No, she's not in the lead. I am. No. Eddie, at one point. You literally only got the number one answer and then you pick something that wasn't even American. Okay. There are six answers off the board. Mac and cheese, bacon and eggs,
Starting point is 00:23:49 hamburger and fries, cookies and milk, chips and salsa and cheese and crackers. Four left. What's your favorite food combo? Mashed potatoes and gravy? Show me mashed potatoes and gravy. Answer. 24 points. I have that one.
Starting point is 00:24:08 Chicken and waffles. Chicken and waffles. No. That's good, Amy. But you did take the lead. Lunchbox, there are three answers left on the board. Yeah. You ready for it?
Starting point is 00:24:19 We are ready. You know, I want some cake and I want some ice cream. Cake and ice cream. Correct. Number 10. Oh. Good night. 30 points.
Starting point is 00:24:30 Good night. Okay. It's morning time. Yeah. Now I've got to come with something else. Dang. That was my home run. Cake, ice cream.
Starting point is 00:24:43 What else do you eat in a combo? Two answers left. Oh, man, I don't even have any idea what else you eat. Biscuits and gravy. It's a good guess. Didn't make it, but a really good guess. I'm shocked by that. Well.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Oh, I just thought of one. Don't say it. Eddie? You just thought of one? What is it? Uh-uh. You're not going anymore, so just... Go ahead? Oh, well, I was... I mean, I don't have a lot, dude. I've got...
Starting point is 00:25:17 Points are tripled. Only two answers left? Give me fries and ketchup. Fries and ketchup. That's stupid. What did you have? Is peanut butter and jelly on there? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:30 Peanut butter and jelly at number four, and at number nine, I would not eat this. Maybe, yeah. Fishing chips? No, that's not the thing either. And number nine, chocolate and peanut butter. Like a Reese's, I guess. Lunchbox is our winner. So this is a dating segment.
Starting point is 00:25:49 And before we argue whether or not Amy's story is actually her or her friend, let's debate the topic. Okay. Because it's a funny scenario, but it's always Amy's friend. Let's not fight that it could be Amy. Let's just talk about the topic as is. And then at the end, we'll decide if we think it's Amy or her friend. Okay, everybody good?
Starting point is 00:26:08 Yeah, yeah. Amy, so what's up? All right, so my friend tells me she's dating this pro basketball player, and that's how she refers to him. She's like, yeah, pro basketball player. He's a professional basketball player. Yes, those three words, pro basketball player. I say, what team did he play for?
Starting point is 00:26:25 And she said, oh, he's retired, but he used to play pro overseas. And so I was like, oh, so is that how these days you would say? still refer to yourself as I'm a pro basketball player, like when you're dating? But he's retired. So does she say a retired pro basketball player? Well, once I asked for more details, that's what I got. But he was referring to himself. Like, that's how she knew him. Like, oh, he's a pro basketball player. And I thought, I just didn't know if an overseas pro basketball player that's now retired, like you come back to the States and you, that's what you do. I'm a pro basketball player.
Starting point is 00:27:04 Well, I think first, I'm a former. Sure. But can you call, do you say here you're a pro basketball player if you play in the European League professional? I would say yes. Yeah, because you're playing for money. You're getting paid. I would still preface it with, I'm a pro basketball player.
Starting point is 00:27:20 I play in Europe or Turkey or wherever. Does he still have, like, is he still working in basketball or is he kind of like a lawyer, like a librarian now? No, he's out of the game. So why does he say he's a pro basketball player? Right. That's weird. because it has a lot of clout.
Starting point is 00:27:36 So that would be nice. But he's also not an NBA player. Well, it's like when we lived in Austin and there was arena football and I was down on 6th Street and there was some arena football guys. And they were standing there on the street corner and they were talking to these chicks and they were like, oh yeah, we played pro football. We play for the Wranglers. And I'm like, guys, I mean. They should say arena football. Yeah, like you're really selling your pro football players, but I mean, it is pro football?
Starting point is 00:28:00 So what if he said I used to play professional basketball? Is that acceptable? Yes. Overseas. But is it misleading? Yes. A little bit. A little bit.
Starting point is 00:28:10 Because you're thinking, dang, NBA in Chicago. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. The only one where that actually works out better for you is if you're a pro soccer player overseas. Yeah, but pro soccer is bigger overseas. That could be in the absolute biggest league, yes. That's what I mean. I feel like if you're an American playing over there, like that's like, wow, wow, wow. But if you're an American playing basketball over there, that means.
Starting point is 00:28:33 So what do you do for living? used to play professional basketball overseas. You kind of have to say all that or you're being misleading. Okay. See, that's what I thought. I agree. So is now the question is, is this Amy? Yeah, where'd you beat him? Or her personal story. It's a friend.
Starting point is 00:28:46 Okay, go ahead, Eddie. Amy, 100%. Okay. She had too many details. And she's deeply. Too many details. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I purposely ask if you had another job because no way her friend told her that.
Starting point is 00:28:57 Lunch Fox. 100% Amy, the giggles and the, like, the way she's just kind of moving her body is like Every time we joke about it, she kind of shudders, definitely her. I'm going to say not, Amy. And I don't know the answer, but I'm going to say not Amy, because I don't think that she would give us meat on this bone to make fun of this person if she were just starting to date some ballplayer unless she's just already dated him and is not anymore and now brings it to the.
Starting point is 00:29:26 That's what I feel like. I think it's out the window because she felt misled. And when she found out it was overseas. So she said, you know what? I can't trust him. moved on with her life. So we got two amies, one no Amy. We've got, we all think it's okay to say, but you need to say retired pro basketball player overseas. But not just straight up, I'm a pro basketball player.
Starting point is 00:29:45 No, you can't do that. Right? What did your friend say about it? She's proud of it? Like, I'm with a pro basketball player. I mean, she was just regurgitating. Okay, now I'm just stammer. So it might actually be her. Whatever. Remember. Is he super tall? Remember months ago, there was the one guy that I massed. with Bobby that I was like, oh wow, he's a pro basketball coach. And then you looked at it and you go in Turkey.
Starting point is 00:30:09 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But that was a coach. But if he's still doing it, that is a professional coach. Amy, are you searching basketball player? Yeah, what's that? What's your name? Mettish? No.
Starting point is 00:30:18 You're Jersey Chaser now? Jersey Chaser. Okay. All right. Tell your friend he could be bordering on DB. Or just take that information from Bobby. Right, like our identity crisis. Yeah, big time.
Starting point is 00:30:30 Right. That's what I think. All right, thanks. The guy in South Carolina finally got around to checking a stack of lottery tickets. So a bunch of tickets laying on his table for over a month. And he was like, before I toss them, let me just run them through real quick. And one of them was a $1 million winner. He and his wife plan to save the money for retirement and says he'll keep playing the lottery.
Starting point is 00:30:53 But she won't let him wait so long to check the tickets in the future. Lunchbox your thoughts. I don't understand how you buy a lottery ticket and you just wait to check it. isn't the anticipation the whole point don't you check it right when the numbers come out or the next day? I do not understand. Let me buy it. And, you know, I'll just toss it aside and I don't need to check it for a couple weeks or a couple months or a couple of years. I mean, it makes no sense.
Starting point is 00:31:16 You must play a lot, though, right, to do that? Or none at all. And kind of forget. I don't know. If you buy yours and it's for mega millions. I'm checking it that night or the next day. If I don't watch the go online and look at the YouTube video that night, first thing I do it when I wake up the morning. YouTube video.
Starting point is 00:31:31 A YouTube video. You can check the drawing. They still play that like after the news? No, no, that's what I'm saying. Can you watch it live or do they only post the YouTube after it's already hot? I only watch the YouTube like, I don't ever watch it live. But could you? Probably.
Starting point is 00:31:45 Gosh, the anticipation you'd think you'd watch it live. Got them. Well, relax. But I don't under it. And if I don't watch check it that night, the next morning, first thing I'm doing is looking up. You wake up and go right and type in. Mega millions or Powerball. And boom, see what the number.
Starting point is 00:32:00 were. So you won't watch the YouTube, you'll see what the numbers were. I would never wait more than a day. WYFF4 with that story. Won a million bucks just by going through. If I waited a couple of days, I would just end up throwing them away.
Starting point is 00:32:15 Because I would be like, ah, they're not winters anyway, and they're cluttering up the house. So good for him for checking it. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Well, apparently we're not supposed to be rinsing after we brush our teeth. Because, you know, I brush
Starting point is 00:32:26 and the toothpaste is kind of still in there, and then afterwards I rinse, rinse, rinse. I get flat because I don't rinse. Okay, well, you're doing it correctly. I brush, what? Spit, spit, spit. Then I go to bed. So Dr. Edmund Hewlett, a professor at the UCLA School of Dentistry,
Starting point is 00:32:44 says that leaving the toothpaste in your mouth gives the fluoride more opportunity to do its thing, to kill bacteria, and to keep food and sugary drinks from sticking to your teeth. And he also recommends flossing before brushing your teeth rather than after. Oh, yeah, you have to floss before because you brush to get all the teeth. the nastiness that you pulled out from the middle of your teeth out. Yeah, I go floss, mouthwash, then brush my teeth. But I always, but I always rinse out. And now I'm like, ugh, now we're going to have to leave that in there.
Starting point is 00:33:13 Bones, did you know all this? Is that why you don't rinse. Like the Potomus Rex over there with her whole nighttime routine? No, I think I just kind of, when my toothbrush has a smiley face on it, I rinse the toothbrush off and go to bed. Your toothpaste has a smiley face? A toothbrush does. Your tooth, and that says that you did it long enough?
Starting point is 00:33:30 Yes. It starts and it's sad. It's electric. And you go, then after a certain point, it gets a little less sad. And then it just has a line straight across. That means you're like halfway done because he's just like content. That's man.
Starting point is 00:33:43 Yeah. Then as you get closer to the end, he starts to get happier. Okay. And then once you hit that point, he goes, he goes, thing, a big smile. Is this for kids? The two-grass? I have no idea.
Starting point is 00:33:53 It sounds like it. Or for adults. What else? So our cars are listening to us. Privacy advocates are like, hey, yeah, These are just big surveillance machines on wheels now. And they're collecting all kinds of information with the sensors, the microphones, the cameras. And one of the researchers is like, uh...
Starting point is 00:34:10 What are you supposed to do? Walk. Well, that's the thing. She talks about how anyone that's gone to address this issue with car dealers has found that it's very difficult to shut off the data sharing and that your data is just being shared. If we're going to have data sharing like this, at least let the billboards be stuff we'd want to buy since you know so much about us. Like the billboards on the highway? We're all digital. And then at least if you're going to steal our data, put ads up and things we want to buy.
Starting point is 00:34:36 You know how quickly? We're all, how many people are on the highway and it'd be like, bing, bing, bing, b, be like that. Well, everybody would have their own? Well, how would we do that? Dude, I don't know. I don't make the rules. I'm just saying, make it. So we're not so angry about our data getting stolen.
Starting point is 00:34:47 Good point, Amy. I never once really thought about how my car is collecting data or listening to conversations. Oh, gosh. You better hope not. Amy's car is collecting lots of data. Amy's car's like, oh, crap. Well, y'all's are too. Amy hit another one. Amy hit this.
Starting point is 00:35:03 No, not like that. It's listening to conversations. It's filming things. It's doing all kinds of stuff, which is just, it's weird to think about. It's like, oh, cars are so smart now, but they're also listening to everything. All right. What else? Well, Hardy was doing the commencement speech at his alma mater, and he told a story about how he was reluctant to work with Morgan Wallen because nobody knew who that was. So he was encouraging people to take a chance on things, take a chance on people, take a chance on yourself. And the word, yes, can truly change your. life because he was kind of desperate at the time, so he said yes to work with Morgan and it's changed his life. Yeah, it sounds like he wasn't only taking a chance. It's like he was just grabbing at anything. There's
Starting point is 00:35:40 a point when you're just like, I just need something to work. But it also sounded like you were singing that Abba song. Take a chance song. Take a chance song. Okay, a chance song. All right, good for them. All right, is that it? I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stores. It's time for
Starting point is 00:35:54 the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. John Stickovich is driving down the road in West Cleveland, Ohio, and he comes upon a fire. There's a home on fire. All three floors on fire. And there's a lady, my baby, my baby, my baby's still in there.
Starting point is 00:36:14 And he's like, well, what, there's a baby? Should he have my 11-month-old baby's in there on the second floor? And he's like, she goes, he's right by the gate. And so John's like, got to do something. Goes crawling through the smoke. Gets to the gate, the baby gate, can't find the kid. He's about to turn back when he, Here's a, where, where, where?
Starting point is 00:36:35 There's no way this all happened. This dramatic. There's no way. My baby. My babe. I like it, though, because John Stigovich seems like a good dude. Go ahead, go ahead. That's when he located the baby and carried it out of the fire.
Starting point is 00:36:45 How would you not get your baby, though, right out of the house? I want to make this about John Stich first, whatever his name was. What's his name? John Stichichich. Big fan of John Stichichich. That's awesome. He went in. Wrist his own life.
Starting point is 00:36:58 But he was also about to just turn around. But that's not his house. Right. And how does he even know there's a baby that exists in there? Correct. I would think that somebody running out what at first thought about the most vulnerable thing in there, the baby. Now, I don't have a baby, so I don't know. But you guys, if there's a baby in the house and it's yours. I'm going in.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Are you running out first, making sure you're safe and then go, no, no, wait for John Stickavitch's drive-by? You're not leaving without the baby. And I wouldn't be outside my house going, my baby, my- Maybe that's why she was so passionate. My baby! That's wild. John Stickovich, you are a hero. Great story.
Starting point is 00:37:28 Mom, not so much. Well, maybe not. Maybe not. We don't know the circumstances. We don't know our story. I don't want to sign that to her. But Stickovich. But Stickovich, that's a dude right there.
