Starting point is 00:02:05 You can be anywhere in the whole wide world, but you're here. And we appreciate that so much. Let's go around the room. First of all, his literal job is our video producer. He's on the air, too, as a co-host. But he's over there pushing buttons all morning long, looking at screens, setting up the scene, moving microphone stands. Here he is.
Starting point is 00:02:20 Producer ready, everybody. Well, people wonder what you do. Yeah, that's what I do. That's what you do. A lot of. Go ahead. So I didn't know my 9-year-old had a New Year's resolution, but apparently he did because the other day he said,
Starting point is 00:02:29 Dad, what day is today? And I told him, I don't know, April, whatever. And he said, guys, today, I finally did my New Year's resolution. And I'm like, well, what was it? He's like, I said January 1st that if I get a sonic blast, I'm going to finish the whole thing. I've never been able to do it. He said, I finally finished the entire Sonic Blast. How old?
Starting point is 00:02:48 Which son? He's nine. And it's funny, too, because yesterday I saw on the countertop another Sonic Blast, and there was about like a quarter of it left. And it was written on there and said, do not touch. I'm not finished with this. You know what? You got to commend up for being this goal. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:03 You got to commend him from being this goal. Good job. All right, moving over here. How would you describe lunchbox as a job? What are his duties? Jeez, that's tough. Oh, he chimes in with his opinion quite a bit. He does audio bits.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Yeah. Yeah. Lunchbox. He records his wife a lot. And he reports the bonehead story of the day. That's true. Here we go. That's right.
Starting point is 00:03:25 Here he is. Lucky talk to everybody. So I was mowing my lawn the other day and this guy's walking his dogs and he waves at me and I wave and he starts to talk. So I turn the mower off and he's like, hey, man, are you not participating in no mow month? I'm like, what? He goes, yeah, you're not supposed to mow your yard in the month of April because it's bad for the environment. I'm like, what?
Starting point is 00:03:48 Like, what do you mean? He goes, yeah, you're supposed to take a stand against mowing your yard in the month of April. It's no mow month. Well, he's really passionate about that. Just expecting you to know what it is. I have never heard of this in my life. Did everybody else in your neighborhood do no mow month? No, I saw other people mowing, but I have never heard of it.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Is this the guy with the Christmas lights? No, a different guy. This guy had his dogs. He had two little dogs. They were little dogs. They were little sissy dogs. You know what I mean? Like, guys should have big dogs.
Starting point is 00:04:11 He had a little sissy dog. Maybe there are his wife's dogs. Maybe, but he still allowed them to, you know, you get one big, one small. He had too small. And he was really passionate about this no mowment saying, like, it's supposed to promote health for the sewer systems and the grass and the nature and the bugs and the... I guess it would have been easier if he just said, hey, I see a moan. I don't know if you've heard about no mowment. It took something that you want to do.
Starting point is 00:04:34 Like, that approach is not good. Like, haven't you heard of no mowment? Like his other neighbor, too, said, like, there was a moment. energy shortage or something with his Christmas lights. Yeah, that was what the problem was. It was an energy shortage. Never heard of these things. Either of I, I mean, I've been alive for... What are you accusing him of? Huh? No, I'm saying the neighborhood's weird.
Starting point is 00:04:51 Like, no energy, you know, energy shortage and no-mo month? Never heard of that. Yeah. Me either. And then I drove around, and in someone's yard, they do have a no-mo month sign. Was it his? I don't know where he lives. I don't know the guy. I think we're pals. You don't know? It's no-mo? He got a little sissy dogs. We ain't friends? Lunch facts, how did you describe Amy's job?
Starting point is 00:05:14 Uh, Spacey. No, no, her job. Her job, her job. Her job, dude. She didn't say anything about your personality. Oh. I literally said you give opinions. I didn't say anything like that.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Yeah, you do the morning corny. You bring the emotional aspect of the show. Uh-huh. You scroll your phone a lot. Yeah. And you are Bobby's. I don't know. Sounding board.
Starting point is 00:05:42 Sounding board? Yeah, yeah. Like Bobby says something. She responds and that's the sounding board. Yeah, we call the co-host. Oh, here she is Amy, everybody. Go ahead. I don't even know what I was going to say now because I was beef, the show on Netflix that we've been talking about.
Starting point is 00:05:57 Because people are just saying it's so, so good. And I finally watched it. And it is. It's so, so good. I'm going to keep going. And there's one character in there, Naomi. And I was like, where do I know her from? Where do I know her from?
Starting point is 00:06:08 And she's from Emily and Paris. which is another good Netflix show that I can't wait for another season up. I would have thought beef was about the food industry. It's not. And I would have avoided it because I don't like watching their shows because I like to eat beef. No, I mean, the whole first like 20 minutes, I was thinking something totally different. And then... It's about two people fighting.
Starting point is 00:06:25 It's like beef, right? Like you have a problem with them. Oh, yeah. Like a few. Like anger. It makes me to get Eddie because it's like a parking lot. Road rage. Oh, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:34 And then Ray, you want to do my job duties instead of the rhyme? No, I got you. Okay. from Mountain Pine, Arkansas. He hosts the show and comes up with stuff for the show. I think he makes the most dough. Bobby Bones. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:06:46 Would you come up with that last minute? Yeah, yeah. We're doing that. I like it. Good for you. So I have strained my calf again. I had a really long calf injury I was dealing with. And Eller is our tall, long dog.
Starting point is 00:06:57 Stanley is our short, fat dog. And so I have to take Eller and run her. So now she knows, though, when I put the leash on her to run, it's time to run. So she took off running and I couldn't keep up. And I stepped in a ditch. Oh, no. My calf hurts when I sleep. You know when you sleep and it's pulsating?
Starting point is 00:07:15 Big time. And do you know why something pulsates? Do you know why that throb happens? Is it healing? It's blood rushing to an injured part of your body. So if anything ever happens, we're a shoulder, foot, toe. If it starts throbbing, that's what's happening. Blood's rushing to it because it's an injury part.
Starting point is 00:07:30 That's like when shark attacks happen, all the blood goes in the water? I don't know if that's exactly the same, anybody. But if you see me limping around today, it's because I have a calf injury. same calf that kept me out for like six months a couple years ago. So are we working out? Are you out? What do you know about me? No, we're going to work out.
Starting point is 00:07:45 Hey, absolutely. I cut off the leg just so it doesn't bother me. Be able to keep going. All right. That's where we are. All right, good. Everybody's here. We're ready.
Starting point is 00:07:52 We've got a good show plan for you today. Thank you for being here. You can always leave us a voicemail if you don't want to call live. We have a voicemail number 877. 77 Bobby. It's time for the mail bag. You send an email and we read it all. the air. It's something we call Bobby Mailback. Yeah. Hello, Bobby Bones. My husband and I are closing
Starting point is 00:08:15 on a house this week. It's perfect, but here's the problem. The 75-year-old neighbor who lives next door is far from thrilled. He's done multiple things to deter us from purchasing the house. Anonymous note. Then he would talk to anyone we hired to assess the house, not only the property, but would call them to ask what they had found. He made threatening phone calls to the bank who's selling the house. He yelled at my mother-in-law, who was checking on the house. finally the house was vandalized when the lock box was cut from the front door. The police are involved. They've yet to make contact with him.
Starting point is 00:08:45 They recommend we trespass him once we have the house that seems aggressive, but I'm struggling with options. There's safety there as well. We're not sure why he's so upset with us buying it. There is not the option to live somewhere else, and we don't want to start this move off with bad energy. What would your advice be on how to deal with a future bad neighbor? Please help.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Signed, we come in peace. That is a bad dude. That dude. I wonder what's up, what his relationship is with a house in general, because he doesn't know them. Really the only way to actually fix this is to hire muscle to go over and take care of him. Ooh. Knock on his door.
Starting point is 00:09:21 And do some muscle stuff, you know what? Yeah, yeah. The only way is to really go over and have a conversation. Like, what's the deal, man? Nope. That is not the way to do it. Brownies. What's the deal is the way, you're going to put him on his heels and make him defensive.
Starting point is 00:09:34 Okay. So you knock on the door and you say, hey, We're moving to the house next door. We just literally wanted to come and say hi and ask you some questions about the neighborhood. Like you want to make it like you're trying to get to him for his advice for something that he can give you input on. Make him feel like the authority. Because from that, when he's feeling safe and secure, then you can kind of go in the back way of, hey, how is your relationship with the last neighbor?
Starting point is 00:09:57 We want to make sure we have a good place. Make sure we're in a good place. Cool. Is that cool? You know, we're cool. That's how you find out. You're going, can't be compliment. because you don't know him, but you can go in asking for his expertise and advice.
Starting point is 00:10:11 That's almost as good as a compliment because you're saying, you know a lot. That's the only way you're going to fix this. If he's calling the bank, if he's yelling at the mother-in-law, it's just a lot of weird stuff here. He's also 75. Is he healthy? Yeah, he might not be your neighbor for a law. Yeah, which is good, you know? Well, depends who you talk to. Depends who you talk to?
Starting point is 00:10:31 So I would talk to the neighbor on the other side of him if it's like that. I'd talk to them and say, hey, is this guy an issue? Like, what's the deal? there's some intel you need first. One, ask other neighbors if this is consistent with his behavior. And if he does this to everybody, that's your baby. Then you just move in and that's it. And you'll figure it out.
Starting point is 00:10:48 Is this why the house was for sale in the first place? Yeah, yeah. Did they take it from him? Or they were like, can't stand this crazy neighbor anymore. They sell it because of him? Yeah. So that's the only way to fix this. It's not resorting to something's foolish.
Starting point is 00:11:02 It's to go, you're an expert here. We need your help. So easy advice. not really fun or easy to do. The vandalizing, the cut in the lockbox, what kind of 75-year-old can use some bolt cutters? Lunchbox is 40 years.
Starting point is 00:11:16 But that's hard to do. Those bolt cutters still take muscle. Good luck with that. Let us know how it goes. That, that, that, that is the mailbag. We got your team. I have the clothes. Bobby's mailback. Ben Afflex stood a bunch of interviews because of air. And he directed it. Yeah. He acts in it.
Starting point is 00:11:38 It's a really good movie. I loved it. about Nike, Michael Jordan. It's an A. It's a really great movie. I went to the theater. I don't want to go theater ever get in my whole life. I don't want to go before that. It's worth it, though. It was awesome. So he was talking about though, because you know, they wrote Goodwill Hunting and that's kind of their lunch into Hollywood.
Starting point is 00:11:53 It was Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. And so he talked about how they got paid $600,000 bucks for the script, 1997. And they blew it all in six months, and they bought jeeps, and they rented a place for parties. And he broke down all the money. here you go.
Starting point is 00:12:09 He said we sold over $600,000. So that's $300,000 each. So each of them, well, let's do Ben. Ben has $300,000. Agents get 10%. So what lunchbox plus 10% of $300,000? $30,000. $30,000.
Starting point is 00:12:25 So that leaves $2,000. Okay. Well, they had to pay $160,000 in taxes because that's on the $300,000. That's about what it is. Oh, it's terrible. So they each had $110,000 from a script they sold for $600,000.
Starting point is 00:12:40 Okay? So they're similar to $110,000. They don't have any money. Now they do. They each bought a $55,000 Jeep, and then they had $55,000 left. So they went and rented a house for $5,000 a month
Starting point is 00:12:51 for a year and just partied. Wow. But that's just to sell the script. Yeah. Because they've made more money on the movie. Way later, though. Yeah. Dang, that's crazy.
Starting point is 00:13:00 Just to sell the script, and they spent a year just... And they probably signed that deal thinking $600,000 was going to be amazing. They said they were, broke in six months. Dang. That'll do it.
Starting point is 00:13:12 Lunchbox, if you were given $300,000 bucks right now, you gotta pay the taxes on it. But what would you spend $300,000 on right now? Ah, a lakehouse.
Starting point is 00:13:22 Like, I think I could afford a lake house with that. You, again, after taxes, you'd have about a, you know, $100. Oh.
Starting point is 00:13:30 Maybe some land to put like a... Maybe a dock. Just a dock. You don't have a boat. Yeah, that's the problem. See, you know what I'm saying? But if I buy a boat, I have nowhere to put the boat.
Starting point is 00:13:41 Yeah. So, I mean, it's really not that much money to do anything with. I can't buy Lambo. Oh, could I buy a Lambo? Yeah, you could buy like a 93. See, I don't want that. Vintage, dude. Man.
Starting point is 00:13:53 But that's, I mean, I do appreciate them, like, live in life. Like, I look at it like, you don't need to worry about the future. Just live for now. And that's what they did. They're like, you know what? We did it. Let's party. Well, they said they regretted it and they were broken six months.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Yeah. But they're good now. But you're good now. Would you not put, yeah, but I don't think everybody's good. Remember the guy we knew they got in a commercial, made six figures, spent it all right away. Like six months. It was broke again real quick. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:16 It's like the lottery people who went a whole bunch. They're like, we just keep crushing it. Then all of a sudden it runs out. What happened to your jet ski? Oh, man. Oh, it floated away. That's right. They didn't float away.
Starting point is 00:14:27 It was ripped up from my heart and my soul. It was tied up and a flood came. And whew. Flooded away. It was tumbled away. It flew away. I mean, and water it. One other story just about boats.
Starting point is 00:14:42 Carnival banned some of the cruise passengers that were on their boat for life because they were caught fishing from the balcony of their room. Legit. I would totally do this. Man, when I go golfing, I take a fishing ride with me so I can fish to the ponds. But this is not, this is not allowed. This isn't in the rules. That's amazing, though.
Starting point is 00:15:00 Dude, this is deep sea fishing. They've been banned for life. Oh, wow. That's crazy. I mean, if you don't go on anymore, though, who cares? Here's the deal, though. Like, what if they caught a marlin? Like, how do they reel that in?
Starting point is 00:15:10 Like, say just you lucked out. Oh, my gosh, I hooked a marlin. Like, you're in a big carnival curse. Like, how are you going to get that off? You're not. It goes by somebody's window. It's fighting, flipping around. You know how they found them?
Starting point is 00:15:22 Somebody posted on a TikTok. Dang. That's crazy. That's it. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:15:33 This dog went missing six years ago. It was an American bully named Tennessee. This family had searched for him forever and ever and was like, well, I guess we got to give up nowhere to be found. Well, the dog had been adopted out to another family and renamed Princess, been living with them forever. Hey, Hennessy to Princess. Hennessy to Princess. Yeah. And apparently.
Starting point is 00:15:56 I think you name a boy Hennessy, though, right? Am I wrong about that? Yeah. Hennessy's not really a girl dog. My Hennessy is like a whiskey. Yeah. Or bourbon. Do they know what sex the dog was?
Starting point is 00:16:05 Well, first I thought it was a guy because of Hennessy, but Princess is. Exactly. I guess she can name me that princess. Okay, go ahead. Let me to believe that princess is a girl. Well, the dog was microchipped. I don't know what happened and why it didn't get checked before, but finally Princess is reunited with her old family and is now Hennessy again.
Starting point is 00:16:25 How long was Princess so with the other family? Four years. No, with the other family. The second family. Four years. Okay, that's a, okay, I don't like it. I don't know what to do, cut the dog in half. That's what you do.
Starting point is 00:16:35 Look, that's what you do. You go. You've had four years here with Princess. You've had four years here with Hennessy. First, you don't cut the dog in half. You put the dog in the middle. You set the people equal side apart. And they go, Princess, Hennessy at the same time.
Starting point is 00:16:49 Princess, come here. Hennessy, come here. You see where the dog goes. Oh, wow. But you got to do it best of seven, because sometimes dogs are just stupid. And they just go to like something that shines or a squirrel behind you. Best to seven, that dog, that dog, whomever goes to four out of seven times gets to keep the dog. That's good.
Starting point is 00:17:03 Because four years is enough of a time for that new family to actually love the dog. Right. Which I wanted this to still sound really good because it is good. And they cut it in half and they both get half. But the one that goes, no, they need it. They should have the dog instead of cutting in and a half. And you go, you know what? You made the right decision.
Starting point is 00:17:18 You get the dog. Is that Bible? It is. Okay. It sure is. So by back together and reunited with the original family, it's just that they get to have visits with it. Hmm. This story did not make me feel good.
Starting point is 00:17:30 I know it's telling me something good. And I guess in the end, Princess Hennessy has a loving home. And really the moral here is microchip your dogs, microchip and then make sure they're checked. I can't believe at this point of our life, though, microchip dogs don't have some sort of GPS in them. Right? Just see where they are at all times. Even if that means there's a port coming out of the dog that you've got to charge a little bit. But still, we can microchip them, but there's still no way to Jeep.
Starting point is 00:17:56 I put the Apple, the tag on our dogs. What do they call it? The air tag. The air tag tracks them. But okay. Well, the dog's good. So I'm happy with that. And they get to visit their dogs.
Starting point is 00:18:06 I don't know. I don't know that I like this story. All right, thank you. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. It's time to play Riddle me this. These are all kids' riddles. You get it right.
Starting point is 00:18:20 You stay in the competition. We go around the room. Riddle me this. Amy, I'll read the riddle. You have 15 seconds. From the end of the second time I read it to figure out the riddle. You get it right. You stay in.
Starting point is 00:18:35 You miss it. You do a report on Martin Van Buren. I wish. All right, let's play riddle me this. Amy, what has a head and a tail, but no body? What has a head and a tail, but no body. Riddle me this, 15 seconds starts out. A coin.
Starting point is 00:19:00 Is that your answer? Yeah. Correct. You can just say, I'm ready, and then I will say okay, and then you say the answer. All right, yeah, because, oh. Because sometimes you say stuff, you're like, to answer. I know. Yeah, yeah. Well, when you say, are you, whatever
Starting point is 00:19:14 you said, would you say, are you sure, are you ready? I'm ready. Say, I'm ready, then you say it. Okay. Lunchbox, what has a face and hands but no arms or legs? What is a face and hands, but no arms or legs?
Starting point is 00:19:31 Riddle me this. A watch. I need you to say, I'm ready. Oh, I'm ready. Okay. Lunchbox? A watch. Correct. Or a clock. We're taking either one. Eddie, what can be cracked, made, told, and played? What can be cracked, made, told, and played?
Starting point is 00:19:59 15 seconds on the clock. Riddle me this. Play? What can be cracked, made, told, and played. What's told? I'm ready. Eddie? Egg.
Starting point is 00:20:13 Incorrect. You guys know? Joke. A joke. Yeah. A joke can be told. A joke can be played.
Starting point is 00:20:22 Yeah. I get it now. Two people remain. Riddled me this. Amy, what is frequently served but should never be eaten. What is frequently served but should never be eaten. Riddle me this. Mayer who are many things that are served.
Starting point is 00:20:46 What should be served? What's frequently served but should never be eaten? What's frequently served that should never be eaten? That is time. Okay, I'm ready. Go ahead. A tennis ball? Correct.
Starting point is 00:20:58 Okay. I was thinking divorce papers, but yeah. I know, I thought so. Okay. That would, that would work too. Okay. I'll accept that. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:21:07 The answer was to tennis ball. What can you hear, but not see or touch, even though you control it? What can you hear, but you can't see it or touch it even though you control it? It'll only this. Can you see him here? What can you hear, but you cannot see or touch, but you can't control it? Lunchbox. Or what am I supposed to say?
Starting point is 00:21:36 I'm ready. I'm ready. Yeah. Your voice. Correct. That's a good one. Amy. What can you catch but not throw?
Starting point is 00:21:48 What can you catch but not throw? Riddle meet this. Cold? Correct. Cold it is. What is easier to get into than out of? Lunchbox. What is easier to get into than out of.
Starting point is 00:22:09 It told me this. What is it easier to get into? Say it again. What is easier to get into than out of? Oh, lunchbox. I'm ready. Yeah, I'm ready. Debt.
Starting point is 00:22:24 Oh. You know, I'll accept it. It's not the answer. Oh, really? I think that works. It's trouble. Oh, I have bed. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:31 I'll accept it. Not on the sheet, but I'll accept it. Trouble, debt. It's a good one. I'll take it. Amy. A cowgirl rode into town on Friday. Three days later, she left on Friday.
Starting point is 00:22:40 How is that possible? A cowgirl rode into town on Friday. Three days later, she left on Friday. How is that possible? It'll be this. A cowgirl rode into town on Friday. Three days later, she left on Friday. How is that possible?
Starting point is 00:22:58 Amy? Because she rode in on Friday. I'm ready? Friday is the name of the animal she wrote in on. Correct, the horse. Those are so dumb. We're going to have to cut this. Ten seconds now, because we've done so many.
Starting point is 00:23:14 Lunchbox, ten seconds on the clock. If the red house is on the right and the blue house is on the left, where's the White House? If the red house is on the right and the blue house is on the left, where's the White House? It's in Washington, D.C. That's so you're ready. Oh, gosh. I'm ready. How come eight times?
Starting point is 00:23:36 He still doesn't. Yes, lunchbox. In Washington, D.C. Correct. Wow. I started drawing a diagram. I know so dumb. I saw you.
Starting point is 00:23:44 What is tall when it's young and short when it's old? Riddle me this. What is tall when it's young and short when it's old. Riddle me this. Time starts now. Shoot, what is tall when it's young and short when it's old? Tall when it's young. Time.
Starting point is 00:24:11 I need an answer. Time. It's tall when it's short. I don't know. Incorrect? The answer is? Yeah, I don't know. You know?
Starting point is 00:24:18 No, Eddie, I can't say what you wrote. Is it? That's funny. That's not it. What? It's a candle. Okay. Young and all. Also, I would accept it to Eddie. Lunchbox all comes down to this.
Starting point is 00:24:31 Yeah. Okay. Because if you get this, you are the winner. If not, we go to sudden death. What invention lets you look right through a wall? What invention lets you look right through a wall? I'm ready. Yep.
Starting point is 00:24:48 People. Incorrect. I'm not. The answer is a window. Oh. So it's now sudden death between you two. First one to get the answer wins. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:58 Oh. Just yell your name. Say I'm ready. Just say, we're going to keep his consistent to say I'm ready. I'm ready. Screw this up. Right. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:07 Here we go. The more you take, the more you leave behind. What is it? I'm ready. Go. Step. Correct. That's it.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Footsteps. Went to win. Wow. Went in a double overtime. Wow. You're being so. Mark. And they stay there.
Starting point is 00:25:34 We're a riddle champion. Wow. You guys ready to hear this? You're ready to go for it. That's how we play. Let him finish. He wasn't finished yet. He was still in the middle of it.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Wow. Well, I'm still a loser. Oh, no. No, I'm happy for him. He was still doing. Didn't the snake sound? Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. He's got four boys.
Starting point is 00:26:05 I'm singing a song before the song. Yeah. And he dads him well. I embrace yourself, Drew. Check this out. No. It's genius. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:26:20 So I'm thinking about starting parenting Sunday. No, no parenting Sunday. Big difference. Big difference. This means on Sunday we take the day off as parents. We just chill. No parenting. And I'm not saying like don't feed our kids.
Starting point is 00:26:33 Don't hang out with them. Get other people to watch them? No. No. I'm just saying don't like teach them lessons. Don't get mad at them for doing something. Just chill. Hey, as long as they're not breaking windows, it's A-OK. Why did this come to your mind?
Starting point is 00:26:47 Because I'm exhausted. I mean, dude, Monday, Friday. Every day of the week, I'm exhausted. Wasn't that part of the deal, though? Like, you had two boys already. Then you adopted two more. So you knew what was happening here. Sure.
Starting point is 00:26:58 But when Sunday comes around it, I want to do nothing. I want to watch TV. I want to hang out. So I talked to my wife about it. She said, that's a great idea. Let's just do no parenting Sunday, and we just chill. So tell me how this would work in your mind. You wake up in the morning.
Starting point is 00:27:12 Do you, okay, boys, wake up. We've made your breakfast. Yeah. You want to eat it? Eat it. You don't want to eat it? Don't eat it. But you still make it though.
Starting point is 00:27:20 Yeah, of course. I mean, I'm still feeding my kids. I'm still being the provider. I'm just not parenting it. And it's like, hey, whatever. Do you? Eat it, don't eat it. Sure.
Starting point is 00:27:28 Eat everybody else's. Yeah. It's like dogs. That's fine. I mean, don't throw food at each other, but just. No, don't be parenting them now. No lessons. Wait, so are they aware that it's no parenting or you just?
Starting point is 00:27:40 kind of do it. No, I'm just going to do it. I'm not going to tell them. No heads up. Okay, so you're not, like you're a freak because then they really go crazy. Right. They'll go. They're a ham. Got it. As they say. So they eat. And then they're like, all right, what do we do? Whatever you want to do, man. Do you go outside?
Starting point is 00:27:56 What about church? Do they get a choice? Yeah, hey, we're going to church. You guys want to come? What if they go, no. They'll come. No, what if they go now? Then you have to watch it on TV. Sounds like parenting to me. No, I don't know. I want to put it on TV. You can watch what you want. It sounds like parenting to me.
Starting point is 00:28:09 I just feel like this is like, I don't know, it seems like you have to be pretty loose with things because then what if the youngest one is like, I don't, I'm the one that doesn't want to go. Who watches while y'all all go to church? Guys, we haven't perfected this yet. It's just, it's in beta, as they say. I like that. It's the beta version of no parenting Sunday. Yeah. Okay, so let's say we take church out of the equation.
Starting point is 00:28:29 You come back in the afternoon. Sure. They're probably hungry. Okay. Do they make their own lunch? I made sandwiches. Okay, cool. And so where are they sitting?
Starting point is 00:28:38 Right there on the table, right? They're there. I don't like ham. Well, you don't have to eat it. It's up to you, but I made ham sandwiches. They're right there if you want. And you just let it be. Yeah, man.
Starting point is 00:28:46 Well, then what about between lunch and dinner when that's a big gap? You got to fill. I'm going to be watching golf or something. Oh, boom. You guys deal with it. Just deal with it. Because usually what happens is like, oh, so-and-so hit me. Oh, so-and-so threw all my toys.
Starting point is 00:29:02 You guys figure this out. Don't bring me your mom into it. We're chilling. So this is similar, but not the same. Amy to when you would do like I don't say no Sundays? Oh, yes day. Whatever. Yes day.
Starting point is 00:29:14 Yeah. That's ridiculous. Because that's you letting them pick what they want to do. Yeah, but there was boundaries. Yeah, yeah, but I'm just saying they got to make decisions. For the most part. Yeah, and it was really fun. Like they got to, I really what it was too was I started saying yes to more things that normally
Starting point is 00:29:33 I'd be like, oh, like, do I want to go canoe across the lake for two hours? my son, no, but it was yes day. So I had to also say yes to things that they wanted to do or that they found exciting. It's similar but not the same. I feel like yours are a little more responsible, Amy. Because you're there and you're parenting as you're doing stuff with them. Eddie is just letting the animals out and saying, Hey, horses, the gates open.
Starting point is 00:29:56 Taking the day off. Go run. And your wife's down for this. She's down. She wants to try it. Are we sure? Yeah. Are you sure she's done?
Starting point is 00:30:01 When will you do the first no parenting Sunday? This week. Okay. I'm in there. It's going to be awesome. He was posted. I think it's going to stress you out more than if you were parenting. Well, it's going to take, I think growing pains, you know, I want to see them do something.
Starting point is 00:30:14 We're like, oh, I want to say something, but I'm not going to. So then we will check in early next week and see how no parenting Sunday win. Then Monday comes around and you just whip back into it. We're back at it, guys. Monday comes around, it's like, I haven't seen my kids in a day. Where do they go? Have you got seen them? I feel like if it goes well, no parenting Monday, no parenting Tuesday.
Starting point is 00:30:31 Maybe. No parenting week. Free, what do they call kids that? Free range. Chickens and kids. Oh, wow, wow, just let them. Let them roam. Let them roam.
Starting point is 00:30:40 It's the opposite of helicopter, which this is so crazy because Eddie's a helicopter. Well, but I'm exhausted of being helicopter. Helicopter going to run six days a week, apparently. It's a day for maintenance. Okay, no parenting Sunday. Eddie's going to try it this week. It feels like a terrible idea. Unless your kids are responsible enough to do something good with it.
Starting point is 00:30:56 Are they? I don't know yet. What are we going to find out? If you were in Vegas, what would the odds be on? Ooh, the Vegas odds would probably be a plus. Yeah. Probably plus 500. That they'd be smart.
Starting point is 00:31:07 That they would be smart. You can't have a great day. That means that they not be smart and not have a good day. I don't know the deal because Eddie was a foster parent and then they adopted. But like with my adoption agency, I have to submit reports every year. We do. So every year we have to like give an update on things. Oat pay is hay.
Starting point is 00:31:29 And so yeah, I don't know if Eddie's like. In the April work pay. Just child services still check in? We don't do that. No, you don't get your clear? You own them now, right? They're yours. Okay, good luck, Eddie.
Starting point is 00:31:38 This is Crystal from Tennessee who left us a voicemail. I'm catching up on the podcast, and I have mentioned artists, and it's with you guys. And my husband says, shut up, because I mentioned you guys so much. But I let you know. Have a good day. Thank you very much. We appreciate that. Don't ever shut up.
Starting point is 00:32:03 Don't ever, ever shut up. And if you keep saying shut up, you let me know. Abuse. Yeah. I'll file it. I'll stand up for her. Verbal abuse. That is.
Starting point is 00:32:13 Yeah. Good. Let's go over and hear from Brian and Kentucky. I would like to insert myself into the next season of Easy Trivia because I am sick of listening to Eddie win season after season. I would like to play for a reward if my challenge is accepted. I will reveal to you what that reward is when that comes time. So I would like to take him down. I was in until he's like, I want to play for a reward.
Starting point is 00:32:40 I'm like, okay, cool. We give him a prize if he does win, if we put him on. And he's like, but I will reveal it. once it's over. This sounds like a kidnap for a ransom. Yes, he can be like, well, I choose to kill a lunchbox. No, you can't do that. Which, I mean, Eddie's not the only one that's one seasons.
Starting point is 00:32:54 I think lunchbox and I have both won a season. Yeah, but it's like... I'm just saying it's not season after season after season. It's like when Michael Jordan quit and then Hakeem Olajuwon won a title. That only happened because Jordan wasn't there. Yep, yep, yep. So it's so rare. Eddie has to be like drunk or something when he comes in.
Starting point is 00:33:10 And I'm sick of it, too, guys. Like, really. Yeah. Me too. I think we should find some new blood somehow to play this game because it is Eddie all the time. I give you a run. Sometimes.
Starting point is 00:33:20 Not really. Nobody really gives him a run. Eddie's won, I think we played eight seasons. He's won like six of them. The goat. So I'm up to talking to Brian, but he got to let us know what his reward would be before we ever get him on. He can't let us know during.
Starting point is 00:33:34 But I would be up for it. But there's also going to be a punishment for Brian if he doesn't win. There we go. He's come on talking a bunch of junk. Finally, here is a morning corny from, someone last night. Hey, it's morning, Courtney, for Ms. Amy. What is the difference between a sharply dressed man riding a bicycle
Starting point is 00:33:52 and a poorly dressed man riding a bicycle? A tire. A tire. A tire. I would just say, well-dressed. Who cares? I liked it. That's a good one.
Starting point is 00:34:06 Here's Amy's pile of stories. Vanity Fairpole found that playing an instrument makes you more attractive, which, uh, Yeah. Clarenet. Take a full to do that. I asked a bunch of dudes playing a clarinet, just pulling checks. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:19 Yeah. Man, tuba, that would just be so big. That would be so big. It's so hard to carry around. And then where do you play that? The band, that's it. The marching band. It's not like if you're a tuba player,
Starting point is 00:34:30 you got a long career after the school band. Well, I have the sexiest instruments. It's got to be guitar. Like, yeah, this is what guys want to learn how to play to be more attractive. Let me see if I can guess. Okay. Guitar's got to be one. For sure.
Starting point is 00:34:43 I'll just give it. That's like rock star. You think of the hot rock stars. Now, it's like other guitar-like instruments, like a bass guitar. Does that even make the list? Is that even on the list? Because that could also be a guitar. No, we're going totally different.
Starting point is 00:34:56 Okay. Saxophone is kind of cool. Because it's like blues. Lisa Simpson. That's right. She does play one. That's number two. Yes.
Starting point is 00:35:06 I know what dudes are doing when they're hot. I like it. What about the drums? Yeah, I don't think it'd be a three though. I think it would be like seven or something. Is drums on there? Five. Okay.
Starting point is 00:35:15 What would be three? If guitar is one and saxophone is two, it ain't going to be trumpet. Violin. That's pretty cool. I don't know if anybody watches somebody playing the violin and goes, I've got to get some of that. Like I go, I think piano's awesome. Piano's got to be three and four. Piano's three.
Starting point is 00:35:32 Let's go. I know what dudes are hot. Let's go. I need four, and then we'll call it a day. Harmonica? Piano. Oh, I like harmonica. But that's probably not that.
Starting point is 00:35:42 That's for you. That's like your uncle. That's accordion. Yeah, that's true. What are you forgetting here? Trumpet. Is it a... Ooh, trumpet.
Starting point is 00:35:53 Yeah, but... Why is Lundfogs not weighing in? Zylophone. Well, what instruments do you even know, Lunchbox? That's to be the question. Well, like, when you see a guy playing an instrument? Yeah, when are they hot to you? Oh, that's why I didn't want to say a guy's hot.
Starting point is 00:36:04 That makes sense. He's not even talking. Yeah, I don't know. When you see a guy playing what, that's when you're most attracted to him? I don't see guys as attractive. Okay. Let me take one more guess and then we'll find it out. What's an instrument we haven't mentioned that?
Starting point is 00:36:18 What's in a band? There's a bay. There's a keyboard. That's piano. There's a guitar. There's, I mean, it's got it. Okay, fine. It's the harp.
Starting point is 00:36:25 The big harp. No, it's the violin. Oh, it is. Which I guess that would be, is that also kind of something as a fiddle. Yeah. Yeah. I remember in college. That's more than drums.
Starting point is 00:36:36 Well, yeah. I mean, listen, in college we would go watch a lot of Texas country and the fiddle players, they were always good looking. amazed by fiddle players more than am drummers because you can play violin like to me I'm just not turning out by you. Yeah, I get that. You know, I need to I need a dude to really be
Starting point is 00:36:51 hi-d-d-d-d- right, right. All right, what else you guys? I'm probably like this next story because I love Tupac but this was something really cool that was just released in his docky series that's out. It's called Dear Mama. And one of his friends was saying that Tupac was the worst
Starting point is 00:37:06 crack dealer ever because he was too nice. He had too much empathy. He felt for people like Oh, he's not having a good day. Have some extra crap. Yeah. He said that capitalism requires that your empathy level is pretty low. And his was higher than most people.
Starting point is 00:37:23 And he didn't want to contribute towards hurting his community. So if he saw a person that was, you know, smoking crack and their daughter and son was nearby, it killed him. Like he's like, I can never recover from this. So I think he only sold crack for like a few days. Well, good for Tupac. Good job, man. Boy. But now I'm going to watch that.
Starting point is 00:37:42 dokey series, I didn't even know it's out. I'm going to go check it out. It's called Dear Mama, if anyone else is interested. Thomas Rett's wife was sort of put on blast by TR on Instagram. He started quizzing her while he was filming, and she kind of didn't really know much about his career and what he has going on. I watched this on TikTok. It's so funny. My wife showed it to me because it was me and my wife. I'm really good friends with Jake Owen and his fiance, and we're sitting there.
Starting point is 00:38:10 And Jake and I always talk about how his. fiance and my wife don't know anything we don't care of anything we do they do they do they do they love us but they don't know like she was like debating a song that he did and he's like no it's this year and my wife doesn't know me i mean she didn't listen to the show and so we're like they don't care anything about what and so then my wife goes hey i just saw this she sent me this tq talk going see it's not just us and it's t r like at a table and Lauren right behind him and this is him asking her about his albums do you know the names of all five of my records what was the first one called you guys like this
Starting point is 00:38:42 What was the second one called? Unforgettable. No. No. What was the name of the album? Can I have a hint? Do you know the names of any other albums? My wife would be like, okay, so who's on the show?
Starting point is 00:38:54 Freddie. No, Eddie, he's here all the time. You see him every day. You see him every day. She's like, oh, yeah. I guess because, you know, they just, I don't know. I don't know the reason. Like, I don't know why she wouldn't know.
Starting point is 00:39:07 I don't know my wife doesn't really, I guess because we're in it all the time. Yeah, that's your work. It's all the time that she kind of just goes, well, this is 24-7, so I don't want to be, this is all I deal with anyway, so I want to deal with it when we're not on, we're not, yeah, I felt that to you are. All right. I mean, that's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 00:39:26 It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. If you like golf, this is a story for you and you need to save this, take it to whoever. That way you can play more golf. 64-year-old Kevin Capella of New York's playing golf. Ha, sliced it right. Ah, bogey.
Starting point is 00:39:46 But then all of a sudden he started, oh, man, I don't feel so good. My arms really hurt. I better go to the hospital. So he drives three and a half miles of the hospital. He was in the middle of a widow maker heart attack. Wow. He's one that kills a boom like that. What's the widow maker?
Starting point is 00:40:02 Is that a certain artery? He has a certain artery that pumps a lot of blood, and it was pretty much completely blocked. And he said if he would have been at home, I would have just lay down for a nap. But since I was playing golf, I was like, I might as well drive. myself to the hospital.
Starting point is 00:40:14 I like it. Yeah. I mean. Yeah. I hope if I play more golf, then that means I'll, the more I'm playing golf, the better odds are something that happens to me while I'm playing golf. Sure. Sure.
Starting point is 00:40:24 And I'll not be a more golf. Yeah. And the doctor said, usually you should just call for help instead of driving yourself to the hospital. No, I probably play the next hole. He was already playing bad, though. Slice, bogey. That would be like, no, I really feel like the next hole, though, I'm going to start.
Starting point is 00:40:39 And then I would go after that. Yeah, that stinks. But he lived? He lived. He's all good. He'll be back on the golf course soon. A widow maker heart attack happens when you have a blockage in the biggest artery in your heart. That means your blood can't move through your left interior descending artery,
Starting point is 00:40:51 which provides 50% of your heart muscles blood supply. Immediate treatment is crucial for a chance of survival. The only way to survive is to play golf. Well, I read that down the end. Yeah, it's pretty good. That is what it's all about. That was tell me something good. A win is a win.
Starting point is 00:41:05 A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me. Clifford Taylor the 4th.
