Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed human. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, my basketball and college football journey, or my career in sports media.
Starting point is 00:00:16 Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, the Clifford Show. This is a place for raw, unfilled conversations with athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. So let's get to it. Listen to The Clifford Show on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. When a group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist, they take matters into their own hands. I vowed. I will be his last target.
Starting point is 00:00:51 He is not going to get away with this. He's going to get what he deserves. We always say that trust your girlfriends. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe, on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, everyone? I'm Ago Vodam. My next guest, it's Will Ferrell. My dad gave me the best advice ever.
Starting point is 00:01:21 He goes, just give it a shot. But if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Welcome to Wednesday's show. Morning Studio. Morning. Got my water here today. Oh, a nice water bottle. Well, I usually bring in the water that's in a little, not plastic, paper. Yes, the box.
Starting point is 00:02:13 at the box. We're out of those. And so if I put water in this and I drink it all, then I can at least know how much water I drank. What is that? Hydroflask? I don't know. Yeah. Whatever it is, it costs way too much. Why people send money. Mike has one of these too. Is that one of those ones that screws off
Starting point is 00:02:29 at the bottom too so you can clean the bottom? I don't know. We'll be careful. Don't do it. Your water will come out. Anyway, I'm here. We're all here. Thank you all. Maybe. I didn't know that. I mean, it looks like it, because there was one on Shark Tank. A guy brought in a water bottle because, you know, the bottom of the water bottle is always so hard to clean.
Starting point is 00:02:47 And they're like, unscrew the bottom. I was like, genius. I don't have difficulty cleaning the bottom of these things. I just put in the dishwasher. Yeah. And I only really put water in it. I'm not putting pudding in it, so it's not. Oh, sorry, the lark you can't put in the dishwasher, man.
Starting point is 00:03:01 Is that the thing that you leave in here and never clean your water? Yeah, look at it. I'll clean it right now. Look. See that green light? It's cleaning. It's blue. Did I say morning?
Starting point is 00:03:08 Yeah. No. You said morning. We said morning back. We did. Let's do it again. Yeah, yeah. Morning.
Starting point is 00:03:12 Morning. Morning. That's not how it goes. Morning. Morning. I have no idea. Oh, my goodness. Because I started. Yeah, you messed with the formula, man.
Starting point is 00:03:20 Yeah, I know. Let's get started here. His son's practice schedule can get extreme because he's got four of them. So he's no longer coaching his son's team. Here is Eddie. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, so I was on TikTok the other day, and I found a life hack that'll change your world, not your mind.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Change your world. Okay. If you're dealing with fruit flies in your kitchen, boil some water and put that down the drain. because that kills fruit flies. Apparently the fruit flies live in your drain and they lay their eggs in your drain so that boiled water will kill all that.
Starting point is 00:03:50 And this comes from a plumber on TikTok. I didn't know that. That's good to know. Here's another thing though. Make sure you have like good pipes and that you have a metal sink because if it's like a porcelain sink, the hot water might crack it.
Starting point is 00:04:01 Well, then you're putting too much on us here. I'm just saying to make sure it's a metal sink. I don't know what my sink is. Mine made a rubber. I don't know. I don't know. I've had some major fruit problems and I feel like I pour boiling water
Starting point is 00:04:11 down like if I made pasta and I pour it down there. It's not, nothing's happening. No, but you're cooking the uncooked pasta in the drain. You got to make sure there's no pasta down there. Just clean boiled water. Clean boiled water. All right. I got some light thingy that I plugged in. It seems to be working, but I still want another week
Starting point is 00:04:27 with it to find out. You know what I do now is when I go into a hotel, I flush a toilet immediately. Not because of poo peepee, but because they're like, hey, there are bugs that are sometimes in those toilets. And you should flush it immediately for the bugs that are living around so they don't get in a room. Wow.
Starting point is 00:04:43 Y'all thought was crazy. You've also been burned, though, by... With poo-poo-poo-piby. Yeah, we got a hotel in Virginia Beach, and we walked in. There was an energy can and poop-poo-pip in the toilet. Yeah. All right, moving on. He thinks he should have a company credit card after 20 years,
Starting point is 00:04:55 but he'd probably use it to buy himself food and beers. Here's lunchbox. I think there was some mix-up with St. Jude in my hotel room. Oh, no. We're getting back to this. Yeah, when we went to Memphis this past weekend because they were, hey, come to Memphis. We're going to put you up in this night.
Starting point is 00:05:11 hotel in the hotel was super nice and I mean I was living the high life oh you want room service kids come on you guys have never had room service let's order room service you want milk and cookies order it to the room no problem only problem is St. Jude didn't pay for it they made me pay for it at the end of the when I went to check out for what the room service room service incidentals
Starting point is 00:05:30 milk and cookies like yeah that's extra that's called incidentals yeah yeah but I didn't know I was paying for it so I was living the life she's just like yeah might as well just charge it to the room order room We'll take that. My wife wanted a bottle of wine. Hey, order it to the room. And then St. Jude didn't pay for it.
Starting point is 00:05:48 Obviously. Why would they? They paid for your room for an extra night. I understand, but that's why I thought everything was on them. So I think it was... Did they tell you that? Everything's on us. They said...
Starting point is 00:05:58 Unlimited room service. They didn't really say... They said, come to Memphis and we're going to take care of you. And so I thought that meant all-inclusive trip. Scuba. Did they say come to Memphis? We've got to take care of you. No, that's not what their thing said.
Starting point is 00:06:10 It even broke everything down about what... they are taking care of and nowhere is there about food to your room and a bottle of wine for your wife or even bringing your wife. Exactly, yes. They provided lunches and dinners to us in the banquet hall that you were. Yeah, but they didn't have room for my kids and wife
Starting point is 00:06:27 I heard you took your kids to one of the events. I did take him to the breakfast. And the breakfast and the way out, they were all sitting there. The only family that was at this goodbye breakfast. Everyone else was there. Every day is there new stuff about what he did that? No, it was the The last breakfast was supposed to be like,
Starting point is 00:06:43 we weren't going to go to it, but then the fire alarm went off. And so we were awake, we're like, man, no one's going to be in there right now. Let's go get the breakfast. I took the family. But everyone was in there, though. And everybody was in there eating breakfast. And my kids were hiding under the tables. And, I mean, they were hiding behind the curtains.
Starting point is 00:06:57 They were eating the eggs, eating the toast, sausage. I mean, they were loving it. But the main point of this is St. Jude kind of pulled a rope a dope on me. They never said they were paying for you. There it is. Yeah. So what are you going to do? I was going to see if I could get the person's email so I could send them the bill and be like, hey.
Starting point is 00:07:18 No. Mielking cookies. All right. No, because the kids wanted milk and cookies, so they got them ordered up to the room. And your wife wanted a bottle of wine? Yeah, she wanted some wine. Thank you. I have nothing to do with this.
Starting point is 00:07:28 Cuba, you want to handle it? I think we've already handled it. There's nothing to do you. Okay, love it. I'll just tweet them. All right, moving on. Her daughter has been late to class, so she'll have to walk her just like her mom did in the past. Here's Amy, everybody.
Starting point is 00:07:42 I have how many hugs we need, you know, feel good each day, at least for maintenance. Feeling good. Because hugs, they increase our feelings of safety belonging. Defensive's hugging me. Oxytocin is released. It strengthens our immune system. So for survival, we need four hugs a day. That's really good.
Starting point is 00:08:03 Then 12 hugs a day. What if we don't get four? Do we die? Yeah, you said survival. Is this like speed if the bus goes below 60, you die? And you said oxy, I heard that's not very good. Oxytocin, your body creates that. It's not something you take.
Starting point is 00:08:15 Then 12 hugs a day for growth. So what does that mean for maintenance? You need about eight hugs a day. How many do you think you get? Zero. Zero. You have four kids? No, no, Bobby.
Starting point is 00:08:26 How many hugs do you get? Caitlin. Does your wife hug you? Yeah, two. Okay, so you're surviving. I hug Stanley. I pick him up and hug him. Okay, I think that...
Starting point is 00:08:38 That does count. Hugging your dog counts. But they have like pause. Someone has to hug you. Someone has to hug you. If everybody here on the show gives you a hug every day, you'll be miserable. I would not come to work. Come on.
Starting point is 00:08:49 I'd only work from home. Bring it in. And I love you guys, kind of, but still I'd work from home. It is interesting how some people like hugs and some people don't. I don't mind hugs. It depends who's hugging me. What do you mean? Like, if I hug, do you be cool with it?
Starting point is 00:09:02 Absolutely. But every day? I don't want it every day for a reason. I want a hug because I deserve it. How about we start the show with a hug? Yeah. Like right now, we stand in the line and walk by and give you a hug. Nope.
Starting point is 00:09:13 I want to bomb it. All right. Ray, from Mountain Pine, Arkansas, he's rocking the turtleneck shirt. It looks like it may hurt. Bobby Bones. I've been told by Amy it's a mocked turtleneck. It's half. Yeah, and I'm not sure if it's mine or my wives.
Starting point is 00:09:27 I'll be honest with you. Because I put it on and I was like, well, it's another oversized for her a little tight for me. Interesting. I don't remember buying it, but hey, it is what it is. I'm wearing it today. It's a little cold outside. I can't believe it. Last night, I was going to tell you guys, I bought a pack of Rolos.
Starting point is 00:09:42 I love Rolos. I think they're the most underrated candy period. Love Rolos in a bag, unwrapped. They now make unwrapped Rolos in a bag. Pretty cool. So you don't have to unwrap every single Rolo. They should do that with Hershey Kisses. They probably...
Starting point is 00:09:55 I've never seen Hershey Kisses unwrapped. The mini ones, maybe the mini. I don't want minis. I want full. So I want to shout out the makers a rollo. Because I ordered a bag of Rolos unwrapped. I was getting some actually, like, some stuff from... Walgreens and I just, they put that thing up
Starting point is 00:10:10 like you may also like, and I do. And so I clicked it. And then you got some Hershey Kisses and they were all individually wrapped. Rolo's, thumbs up, Hershey Kisses, thumbs down. We need to unwrap them. So there you go. Rollo's top five of my candies of all time. Wow. Top five. The difficulty is unwrapping them even from
Starting point is 00:10:26 the package. They get the little foil everywhere. God, they wouldn't even make my top 10. I wouldn't even think about them, dude. Yeah. They're not even on the radar. Rollos are awesome. You guys are haters. Let's open up the mailbag You send an email and we read it all the air It's something we call Bobby's mailbag
Starting point is 00:10:45 Yeah Hello Bobby Bones I just want to start off by saying that I would never Under any normal circumstances Tell a mom their baby is anything but adorable However My friend texted me and asked if she thinks her baby's cute I don't want to lie to her
Starting point is 00:11:00 Her baby is not a cute baby Am I horrible for even thinking that I'm sure she'll be gorgeous when she gets older, but she's barely 10 days old. She still looks like an alien. She's sweet as can be, but my honest opinion, she's sort of an ugly baby.
Starting point is 00:11:13 What do I do? Because I don't want to lie. Help me. Don't judge me. Signed honest friend. This is easy. Lie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:22 Whatever. Babies are ugly, man. Yeah, they are. Looks are relative. Don't say that. That's not the answer. You can use words like, cute, looks amazing.
Starting point is 00:11:33 No, because that would be an absolute about her look cute. Cute is like somebody looks cute, but you can be like, she's amazing. What does that even mean? Oh, yeah. It's amazing she was born,
Starting point is 00:11:42 the process of birth, fertility. Jesus God? That's a good word. Yeah, she is amazing. She looks heavenly. But the friend's obviously asking because she might think her baby looks a little bit. No.
Starting point is 00:11:53 Yeah, but I don't think in any circumstance you say your baby's ugly. Why, under any circumstance, you text your friend and ask them if you think your baby's cute? That is weird too. Not a problem. We didn't know her.
Starting point is 00:12:02 We know her, kind of. Yeah. You don't say she's ugly And I know you don't want to lie Then you just have to dodge it To play dodge ball with it She's amazing Wow
Starting point is 00:12:12 And you put her And you can do this And you put her in such cute clothes I like her Oh yeah No not I like her Amy you're gonna get this person Defriended
Starting point is 00:12:20 No lies If you don't want to lie I would just lie But no lies if you don't want to lie Just bounce around You should be like You should put her in audition for Gerber baby No
Starting point is 00:12:31 Okay you can do that No you can do that though That's one you could do. Why? Because she literally could. She couldn't. She ain't going to win. Okay, anybody can.
Starting point is 00:12:40 Not a lie, technically. Not a lie. See? Now we're working. All right. All right, thank you. Close the mailbag. We got your email.
Starting point is 00:12:50 I'm going to play this voicemail bag. Hello, studio. You all have been talking a lot about if Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift are legit. I actually know a person who is on. tour with Taylor Swift and they are actually dating. So anyways, I hope that clears up anything that anyone's
Starting point is 00:13:14 questioning. Thanks. Let me show. What if we just accepted any voicemail as the answer to all things? Got a believer. Well, guess that's it. Moving on. We have our head swiftly in here, Lauren. Lauren, what's the deal? What's up with Taylor and Travis Kelsey? They're the real deal.
Starting point is 00:13:29 They're in it. I think it's endgame. End game. What is that like they're going to get married? That would be the weird. That'd be the weird. Oh, that'd be the, yeah. Oh, there's no way. That'd be odd. Because I think I like Travis Kelsey fine, but I don't feel like they match.
Starting point is 00:13:44 I feel like they match perfectly. Like they're both so successful on their own right. They're so good looking together. I think they're perfect. No, no, personality-wise. Yeah, they're not. Oh, no. And look at all the other guys that she's been with.
Starting point is 00:13:56 They're all, like, creative, artsy. Well, maybe that's why it's never worked out with any of them in the past, because it just wasn't maybe her type now. She needs, like, this jock. I like everyone involved. I just don't feel like this is in game. Opposites do attract them.
Starting point is 00:14:11 They don't really. They don't really. They don't. They really don't. That's a lie. Because they're major opposites. So do you like Travis Kelsey? I do like Travis Kelsey.
Starting point is 00:14:22 Because you like him before? I did. Yeah. I always thought he had a great personality. Pretty good looking guy. But I didn't know too much about him. What's up with that mustache? It's not my favorite, but it's not awful.
Starting point is 00:14:33 I mean, Did you see the lipstick in it? And they're walking together. See, that's just too much. Lipsick on the stash. They would never do that. That's all set up. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:14:46 I don't know. Like my dad had a mustache. I never saw a lipstick on his mustache from my mom. But she wears like bright red lipstick. And also when they be like, hey, get this off your mustache. It just seems, and you can be honest with us here, doesn't it seem a little forced? It does seem. It's very.
Starting point is 00:15:04 very public and it does seem like they're both really liking the attention. Uncharacteristic of what she usually does? Yes. Yeah, with her last relationship that she was in for like six years and that was pretty private. But I just don't see like the the gain that she truly gets from it because... Can I throw a few things out there? Yeah, go ahead. Number one, her movie's crushing and any publicity is publicity.
Starting point is 00:15:28 No, agreed. Movie was crushing before this though. Not, not, not, not, not. not not she was doing NFL games it hasn't even been sold the movie just opened right no yeah but even before the rumors even started it was gonna crush it anyway it was gonna do great
Starting point is 00:15:42 it was gonna do great but I feel like everything enhanced it I feel like her being in an NFL commercial like that is kind of a weird thing she was in like an NFL like deal promoting the movie yeah well the NFL came out and they said that her team and her didn't ask her to do that
Starting point is 00:16:00 they did that on their own Promoted the movie? Yeah, on their own. They straight up came out and said that. NFL. Probably because she made them. You say this, you say I do it. Or else.
Starting point is 00:16:10 What about the jet theory where she flies private a whole lot? I have heard that. I heard that theory. And she went to a Jets game. So if you Googled Taylor Swift Jet, it wouldn't come up how bad her flying is for the environment, which I don't give a crap.
Starting point is 00:16:22 You fly all you want. I don't care. But what about that theory? I mean, I don't think she's going to a Jets game just to get that out of the headlines because of her whole jet drama because you can't really expect her to fly private. She can't go anywhere without it being like a frenzy.
Starting point is 00:16:37 Which articles come up like if you do Google that because I did. And articles come up about her being at the Jets game first. But then if you go to images, it's just her jet. Like her picture of her jet. So it didn't. That's cool. It's not like it was for at the game. Yeah, but no one really clicks on images.
Starting point is 00:16:52 It's more about the news stories. Also, what about Travis Kelsey goes to the concert and tries to meet her and he can't even get backstage and all of a sudden they're the hottest item in America because he said yeah I tried to meet her and boom now they're in love it's like well it wasn't that fast yeah it took a couple no it took like two or three months yeah but he had a friendship bracelet
Starting point is 00:17:09 and a dream and he he believed he could and he did I like it like he has people that he would have been able to get backstage if he like in reality not I mean to Taylor I don't know if they don't want you back there yeah and then all of a sudden she's interested now because she saw the story she saw that he was
Starting point is 00:17:25 interested and she was like yeah actually he's cute like why not I'll give it a chance so in your mind there's no chance because it's been wildly beneficial to both of them. I would say mostly him. But also her, no, no, to her too. You can be super famous and still
Starting point is 00:17:38 take the publicity because it keeps you from not being relevant. But if you were to have to measure who got elevated more by this, it's him. Elevated, I would say him, but she is the one who created it. Right, right. So I think it was brilliant by both of them.
Starting point is 00:17:55 Or what if they're just in love? I know, maybe they are, but I feel like he's just like, Okay, I'll do that, Taylor. Yeah. I'll go catch touchdown. Which is not fair to say. It's just a single mustache and the muscles and the football. And all the things I'm jealous up, so I do that because I'm not jealous.
Starting point is 00:18:11 I saw some video of him dancing somewhere like in a rodeo setting. Terrible. I thought it's funny. I was like, I was terrible dancer. I think he's got a good personality. Oh, I feel like it's cute. Yeah, I do too. I do think Travis Kelsey is probably a fun guy.
Starting point is 00:18:24 Yeah. I don't know how I feel if it's real or not, though, because it's just so forced. I don't know. I just think it's real because she's going on her international tour in a couple months like next year. So like why do her fans in, you know, Asia, Europe, like they care that she's dating this American football player. Like it's not going to help her sell out over there, you know? Like she's already done all the American stadiums here. I hear you.
Starting point is 00:18:47 You're probably right. No. I don't think it's real. Even if it's not real, like how can you not have fun just watching them? It's like it's a rom-com come to life, you know? They're force-feeding it down our throats. I don't hate it. I just always am a little weary of any relationship in public that comes out of nowhere is smash on you.
Starting point is 00:19:07 It's everywhere. It's in commercials. Because I just feel like it was brilliantly put together. And maybe they just revealed it brilliantly. And they made dating for a lot longer. I don't know. Did you see, Lauren, did you see Travis's mom come out and say, like, you know, that's the first time she never met her in that suite? Yeah, I did see that.
Starting point is 00:19:28 Yeah. She seemed like awkward about talking about it. She said I can't really talk about that stuff. I know, I'm sure. But this girl in the voicemail was like, I know someone who's on TorTail. I know people who are on Taylor's team. I mean, I know.
Starting point is 00:19:39 Have you asked them? No, because it's not my business. I'll just do this and speculate. Yeah, it's fun. But I know people that are very close on Taylor's team. And so, but I don't go, hey, what's up with that? Because if it were something they were doing legitimately, they'd be like, you're an idiot.
Starting point is 00:19:52 And if it were something they were doing that wasn't legitimate, they'd be like, hey, you're an idiot. It's legitimate. They would just tell me that anyway. Yeah. And we'll never know if it's fake. Like even if it ends next week, they're never going to come out and be like, it was PR, got you guys.
Starting point is 00:20:03 They made one day. One day, like years and years, but like not any time. Do you think Taylor's will marry Travis Kelsey? Yes, I do. End game. That is a PR stunt right there. If they get married and have kids and then die together, that they committed to that PR stunt.
Starting point is 00:20:18 And then they say, just kidding, we got you. I hope it's real. I'm going to go 6040 real. Oh, okay. All right. 6040 real, but 6040 fun fling. What is it going to take to convince you that it's 100% real? She's pregnant.
Starting point is 00:20:33 Then I'll believe it. Even then. That's it. Well, then you've got to find out if it's his. Wait, what? Why? Because it's not. It wasn't real. It comes down speaking British.
Starting point is 00:20:42 You know, it's that Joe Allen's. I don't know. Just just a gut feeling I have. Okay. All right. There. Yeah. Just a gut feeling.
Starting point is 00:20:51 Okay. Thank you. To our head, Swifty, Lauren. There's like to bring her here. It's time for the good news. Who's Amy? Tell me something. All right, this is cool.
Starting point is 00:21:02 For about a year now, Hillary Bateman, who's the owner of Little House of Flowers in San Diego, California, started leaving these beautiful bouquets outside of her shop every Sunday afternoon. And there's a note that says, take me. And she also put all her social stuff on there. So if someone does take it and they use it in some sort of a way, you know, they tag her and she gets to see it. And it's just something that she started doing in remembrance of her dad who love to share flowers and kindness with others. And I just thought, it would be so cool. Like you're walking by and you're like, oh, flowers. I happen to need those.
Starting point is 00:21:34 I feel like it was a trick. I mean, I love it, but I feel like it's some sort of camera show. But it literally says, take me. I hear you. I feel like somebody else put that sign on there then. So when I take it, I don't know. I don't trust anything like that. I know, but I'm just picturing someone that, like, really wants to show someone else that they love them.
Starting point is 00:21:48 They love flowers. They can't afford a bouquet of flowers. I hear you. It all sounds good. Sounds too good to be true. I wouldn't trust it. Yeah. Well, she said this is her simple way to spread joy and it brings her such satisfaction.
Starting point is 00:21:59 That I like. I'd be there every Sunday. Of course. First up, just deal it every Sunday? Absolutely. Yeah. That is what it's all about. A win is a win. Yep, that's me. Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined.
Starting point is 00:22:28 And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. One week, I'll take you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment, and the next we'll talk about life, mental health, purpose, and even music. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in so-ins, correct? I doctored the test ones.
Starting point is 00:23:36 It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfectant. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Alesspian and Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young.
Starting point is 00:23:55 This is Love Trap. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Americopa County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges.
Starting point is 00:24:10 This isn't over until justice is served in Arizona. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never.
Starting point is 00:24:30 mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends... Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck.
Starting point is 00:24:54 I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. They said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends.
Starting point is 00:25:11 Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Amy, so this letter was dropped off in your lap on an airplane? Yeah, so you were asleep. Oh, we were both on the same flight. Yeah. So it was like you, Caitlin, me, and I was the aisle seat.
Starting point is 00:25:33 and I didn't even see the person they walked by so fast, like they were going to the bathroom, whatever, and just dropped a note in my lap, and then opened it up and here it is. Here we are. To the Bobby Bones team, my son, 8 and 12 years old, is adopted from the island of Granada. He is a big fan of the show.
Starting point is 00:25:52 He has an inoperable brain tumor. Doing well, though. His make a wish was to meet you and be on your show, but we talked him out of it because he couldn't communicate clearly at the time. I'm wondering if you could find a way. way to say hi to him. Could you sign this note or a selfie at the back of the plane? I didn't even know this. I was asleep. Something simple and it can speak U.S. or you can say a bug off. Grateful for what you do and represent. Sincerely, a rebel family. Well, we'd like to say bug off.
Starting point is 00:26:19 All right, let's go to the next song. Give you the option. No, just kidding. They're actually here today. Yep. And so the Ribble family is here. We're going to bring them in the studio and talk to them for a second. Come on in. So Amy, who, which one do you think drop the note? Dad. Oh, you did. Amy said, hey, I got this note, which, by the way, Dad, you are Jared? I'm Jared. Hi, Jared.
Starting point is 00:26:41 No. I guess I was asleep. Was I passed out on the plane? I think you were asleep? Yeah. And just for the record, I let my wife see the note ahead of time. It's not creepy at all. No, it's awesome.
Starting point is 00:26:51 Yeah, no, you're dropping it to. What did you do with it? And he said, I just sat it between the two girls. And I was like, they're going to think you're hitting on that. Oh, honestly. You thought that? You thought that? Yes, he did.
Starting point is 00:27:03 We didn't know. So you thought he was hitting on you? No, I didn't, we didn't know for sure who would even drop it off, but we just, we were like, what's going to be in here? Is it someone, you hear about those stories of someone being like, hey, here's my number call me. Well, sure. And I get that, which is why I addressed it, the Bobby Bones team. You did, that's funny. Well, it's good.
Starting point is 00:27:22 I'm glad you guys are here. Aiden, and I like your glasses, buddy. They're just like mine. Yeah. Those are super cool. How long you've been wearing those? No idea. No idea.
Starting point is 00:27:30 I don't either. Same thing. COVID made me for. forget all amounts of years. So what's going on with you guys as a family? So you adopted how long ago? It's been eight years now. Oh, yeah? Do you like it? You like your mom and dad? They're pretty cool or no? Sometimes? I think that's everybody. My kids would say the same thing. At 12 years old. So tell me about where he's from. He's from the island of Grenada. So he's a Caribbean baby. And 12. He's 12 now, yeah, not a baby.
Starting point is 00:28:03 anymore. He's not a baby. I say he's always my baby, but he doesn't love that now that he's 12. Yeah, so we adopted him when he was four. He came home to Nashville then, and we have since had three more boys and a fourth one in the spring. So we'll have five total boys. On the way? On the way. You grabbed your stomach? I never know what that means. Like she's having gas right then, or if she's pregnant, and I'm not fault. No, absolutely. Yeah. So we'll have five boys. He's not thrilled about a fifth boy. He said he's moving out. if anybody has space. I have space for you.
Starting point is 00:28:35 Okay. Yeah, I got a basketball court too. I got PlayStation 5, whatever you need. We'll never see him again. Yeah. I'm super glad that you could come up here and hang out. What do you think about the room, Aidan? It's big.
Starting point is 00:28:45 Is it bigger than you thought? Yes. Had you ever seen what we look like? Yeah, on dancing and the song. Oh, yeah, you saw that. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Aiden, that you saw that. Did you?
Starting point is 00:28:53 What was your favorite dance that he did? The MC Hammer. I was about to say that was my favorite, too. I jumped off the table. Like, the MC Hammer, it was awesome. MC Hammer actually tweeted me after that. and was like, I don't know what I just saw, but I think it was good. So what do you like in school, Aden?
Starting point is 00:29:08 Do you have any favorite subjects? Dismissal. Is that a subject now? That's when you just go home? Yes. Yeah. I get it. I think that's their favorite part of this show, too.
Starting point is 00:29:20 Yeah, when we leave. Lunchbox's out of it, yeah. Yeah, for sure. Their favorite part's dismissal as well. Yeah. So do you go to Benton Hall Academy? Yes. Is that your school?
Starting point is 00:29:29 Yes. You like them? Yes. What's their mascot there? Thunderhawks. Thunderhawk. What's a Thunderhawk? No idea.
Starting point is 00:29:36 I have no idea either. I know what a hawk is. I know what thunder is. His teacher is wanting a shout out because she's a big fan of the show. So she's so excited. Do you want to shout her out, Aiden? Can you say hey to your teacher? Hey.
Starting point is 00:29:48 What's her name? Hey, Miss Glick. Hey, Miss Glick. Hey, what's her name, Glick? Miss Glick. Miss Glick. Hey, from us too. Hey, hey, hey, shout out.
Starting point is 00:29:57 How's Edon? Good? How's health? Aiden's doing well. He's stable with all. the medical things he's going through. In our last MRI report, it was very, very minute, but the tumor was shrinking. It's the first time that we've seen that happen.
Starting point is 00:30:12 So we're not out of the woods, but it's trending in a positive direction. That's awesome. We're really thankful. Well, I'm thankful that you guys dropped off the note, too. And I'm thankful Amy didn't think you were hitting on her because we never got it. We didn't, you know. Yeah, exactly. And why didn't you drop it off?
Starting point is 00:30:31 It would have been safer for you to drop it off. It would have. He was in the aisle, so that's probably why. And you said that you showed it to me, but you told me after the fact what you said. I do that too, or I lied to my wife. Yeah, it's fine. Or like, you get up to go. Or it's like, you get up to go give it to him.
Starting point is 00:30:45 And I was like, what are you? I do that stuff all the time too. I'm like, I know I did this. She goes, no, no, no. This is how you did it. You did it two days after as well. And I'm like, oh. I say that to him.
Starting point is 00:30:53 And he's like, but I thought, I'm pretty sure I thought I said this. I do the same thing. Okay. Did I not? I showed you that actual note. After you got up and I was like, what are you doing? And you're like, I'm going to give them this note. I was like, what does it say?
Starting point is 00:31:08 Your handwriting's pretty good, though. Decent. Yeah. Not bad for a plane. Yeah, for a dude. Yeah. So what do you do? A professional presenter.
Starting point is 00:31:17 I do that in the trades and construction industry. What do you mean? That's a fair question. So I go around the country and I give presentations to help bolster the trades. So getting kids and getting folks interested in the trades, construction industry, et cetera. Got it. So inspirational speaking, that sort of thing. About construction?
Starting point is 00:31:41 Yeah, but trying to get people to understand the value, the importance. People don't grow up and say, I want to be a roofer. Right. You know, but I guarantee we are all grateful for roofers when it's raining. Some people are today. Things of that nature. And it's like roovers can make some really good. money too. Yeah. Yeah. So that's cool. I never really knew the value of someone who drove
Starting point is 00:32:06 a big rig until I went and had to actually learn about it myself and get a CDL and see how much we depend on people driving those trucks across the country. And again, same thing. Nobody goes fifth grade, I want to be, but it's like, and you can make so much, you have a good life too. Yeah. That's pretty cool. And you are. I'm an author and a television producer. I feel like faith is kind of what brought you guys here and with Aiden and with what you're doing generally. I mean, it feels like that from just talking to you guys. Is that true? Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. I think our faith is definitely the foundation of what started to build our family. And we see definitely the trace of that in our life when we look at, because we lost several adoptions before Aiden and had any of those worked out, he wouldn't have come home.
Starting point is 00:32:54 And when he did, and then we were able to kind of chase down what he needed. medically, we discovered that all the top doctors for what he needed are here in Nashville. So he was always meant to make it here. I'm my sister. What he said? Yeah, he says my sister. He's talking about one of the adoptions that we lost. So he's just now, like, learning the story of her and how she, you know, didn't get to come
Starting point is 00:33:20 home. And so he's kind of, like, working through that too, especially since he doesn't have any sisters. And he's not going to have sisters now. Sounds like it's all boys all the time. Aiden, all boys. Yes. Yeah. Well, Aiden, it's really good to meet you, buddy.
Starting point is 00:33:32 I'm glad that we got to come up and hang out for a little bit. And if you, I would like to give Aiden something. I don't know. Would it give him a big Sonic Cup? Oh, he could take that. What do you want? What can we give you, Aiden? Sonic Cup.
Starting point is 00:33:45 That thing won't fit in your car. It's huge. That one's like five foot tall. We got something for you. It's starting to get cooler outside. Do you ever, do you wear beanies in the winter? Okay, we have Pimp and Joy, Beanies and stuff. We're going to set you up.
Starting point is 00:33:56 Yeah. You're going to be good to go. Well, thank you guys for coming in. I hope this was as fun as you thought it might be. Yeah. Thanks for having. Aiden, do you have fun? Yes.
Starting point is 00:34:03 The whole point was to hang out with you for a few minutes. And I hope you keep trending in the right direction. Your glasses, don't let anybody tell you they're not cool because that means mine aren't cool. Okay. And you let me know if anyone says that. All right, buddy. All right, there they are the Ribble family, Crystal Jared and Aiden. Okay, so what happened?
Starting point is 00:34:19 I got to ask you guys a question. What would you do in this situation? Because on Sunday, I was watching football and I'm like, you know what? I got to have wings. So I got online. I ordered my wings from a place to go pick them up. I go inside the restaurant. And I'm waiting for my wings because there's a line.
Starting point is 00:34:36 There's like two people there. And I see it's one of those where you can kind of see the kitchen behind the counter. And I'm looking back there. And I see the guy putting wings in the friar. And he's waiting for the wings to come out. And he scratches his armpit. No. Okay?
Starting point is 00:34:48 And then the wings are ready. He gets them out of the basket, starts putting seasoning in the wings, tosses them. With the same hands? Same hands. Didn't wash his hands at all. Bare hands. No. Rup, Ro.
Starting point is 00:35:00 You see this. What would you do? Not eat there. Did you already pay for it? No. Like online? No, I ordered it online. I'll pay there.
Starting point is 00:35:08 Listen, that's probably happening. I just don't want to see it. I know. In the minute I see it, I can't unsee it. So then I just need to go somewhere else. I'll probably leave. Where it might be happening too, but I haven't seen it. And you would leave bones?
Starting point is 00:35:18 Yeah. If I haven't paid yet, I'm probably going to leave. Would you tell anyone? No. Who do you tell? So, do you want to play? Do you want to play? Guess what Eddie did?
Starting point is 00:35:26 Yeah, come on. Okay, give us some options here. Guess what Eddie did? Go ahead. Okay, did I call the manager and say, hey, I saw this. Got to do something about it. Okay. B, did I pay for it and say, just take it home and eat it anyway.
Starting point is 00:35:42 Just give it to the kids and never tell them why you're not eating it. That's right. That's right. Or C, do I just leave? Not say a word. I think I would probably leave unless I'd already paid for it. And then even then I'm going to get it if I paid for it, probably give it to like a homeless guy. or something. He doesn't deserve that arm pit,
Starting point is 00:35:57 but it's better than going to waste, you know? Yeah, yeah, yeah. He doesn't know either. I'm probably just going to leave. I'm going to say that Eddie, I'm going to say Eddie just paid for it and took him home. He loves wings and wanted to watch the game. You? Same thing. I think his family didn't see it, so no harm there. He took him home.
Starting point is 00:36:14 He ate the wings, man. Like, a little arm put grease ain't going to kill him. Armfoot grease? Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Because I know he's not going to call them. I mean, I could see Eddie being the call the manager guy. He's a helicopter parent so he could helicopter restaurant customer, but he just hate the wings.
Starting point is 00:36:32 Eddie, what did you do? Got my credit card out, I paid for him, and I took him home. And I ate him. Dude, I needed my wings. It was one of those things, though, as every time I took a bite, I gagged a little bit. Just thinking about it, like, oh, my goodness, this is so disgusting. What celebrity did he look like? I would have to play that game.
Starting point is 00:36:49 Why? We don't have to play that game. What do you mean? Don't worry about it. Lunchbox? Okay. What did you learn from this experience? Don't look back there.
Starting point is 00:36:59 That's what it is. Don't look. Yes, just don't look. You know what? Just go in, put your head down, pay for the wings and get out. That's it. That's exactly what we learned.
Starting point is 00:37:08 They're doing like crap anyway. It was disgusted, man. All right. Thank you. Here are your number ones. The number one pop song is Siza. Snooze. That a truth, I look better under you.
Starting point is 00:37:20 I can't lose. Number one rock song, Blink 182. one more time. I don't mind that. No, that's nice. It doesn't sound like them really. It's like senior citizen. Getting older, man.
Starting point is 00:37:40 Yeah, I like it. I hadn't heard that. I saw their album cover. This is not her album cover, right? You liked it. All right, top three country songs. Number three, Jason Aldeen. Try that in a small town.
Starting point is 00:37:52 Number two, Morgan Wallin. Think about me. And number one, second week at number one, watermelon moonshine, Lainey Wilson. Those are your big songs. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Rescue Eminemes are going to be a thing on Halloween Day, which means
Starting point is 00:38:14 they're going to have this whole crew of people ready to go and you just go click that you need to replenish your candy stock and they'll show up at your house within an hour. Does it all Eminem guys? Hey, I'm Bob. It's called Eminem's Halloween Rescue Squad. And it starts at 3 p.m. on
Starting point is 00:38:31 October 31st. Does it cost money? It has to. Because if not, I'm just going to be like, I'm out. I didn't buy any to begin with. Because I love Eminem's. Yeah, well, sometimes, you know, it's not even dark out, and enough kids have been to your house
Starting point is 00:38:42 where you start to run out of candy and you're like, okay, I need to call in the rescue squad. Ranking of Best Eminem's, I'm going to go still, number one is still the Norms. Oh. I still like the milk chocolate norms, yeah. Number two is Peanut, but they have moved up the list a bit for me. As I get older, I do like the peanut Eminem's a little more.
Starting point is 00:38:58 The best. That's my one. Norms, then peanut. But I don't see the caramel ones hardly ever anymore. And those were awesome. Oh. And not like those. I think they're not around because nobody else left me either.
Starting point is 00:39:09 Precisely. And then the other one was like the crunchy ones. They had like, it wasn't Kit Khab, but something like that. Pretzel. Oh, that's what it was pretzel. Those were awesome. Those are really good. I hate peanut butter, so I can't do the peanut butter ones.
Starting point is 00:39:22 Do you like those? Yeah, but my number one is peanut. Norms are at the bottom. Why? It's milk chocolate. You can't go wrong with milk chocolate. I don't know. And it's not my favorite.
Starting point is 00:39:31 There's one grocery store that we go to near our house. All they have is dark chocolate. I hate dark chocolate. Just in chocolate, dark chocolate in general? Yeah. Any of the sweets they have, all dark chocolate. It's supposed to be healthy. I hate dark chocolate, man.
Starting point is 00:39:41 It's disgusting. All right, what else? Okay, so we need a password protect our kids, and it's not just online. An expert was talking on TikTok about how we really do need to have code words with our kids or maybe even our spouses. I have a code word with my wife. You do? Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:39:57 In case someone ever tries to impersonate me or someone to person. personates her. We have a code word that only we know. It's like Houdini when he died. He was like a lot of people if I ever die are going to say they're talking to me beyond the grave, but this is my code word. He told his wife. And then all these psychics were like, I'm talking to Houdini. And she's like, what's the code word? And they're like
Starting point is 00:40:14 oatmeal. Nope, that ain't it. No one ever got the code word right. So what's your code word? Yeah. I can't say it. I said it now, then it wouldn't be a code anymore. You can always change it like a computer. But I wouldn't, then we wouldn't remember. Okay. Yeah. Well, I just appreciated you know, the reminder, because you hear this all the time, like, make a code word with your kids. But really, the truth is, I feel like if someone pulled up to my kid's school and said,
Starting point is 00:40:37 hey, your mom couldn't make it, she told me to pick you up. My son be like, okay, you know, and I really need him to be like, well, what's the code word? So I'm going to be doing this. I really do think that's important, especially if someone's trying to impersonate you. Or there's a clone of me running around, and she can't tell the difference on who is who. Caitlin? She won't be able to tell. Not if it's a good clone.
Starting point is 00:40:57 If you got it on the clearance, I don't know, maybe a sucky clone, but good clone, you can't tell. And so we're like, no, it's me, trust me. And then she's only got one bullet in the gun. She's got to kill one of us. Oh, no. And then she's like, is it you? And I'm like, it's me. It's not me.
Starting point is 00:41:10 And then she points it to me, and then I'm like, I say the code word. And then she shoots the other one. Yeah. Smart. I think about that. Yeah. Rolling Stone asked Laney Wilson, what she thinks about all the new country fans who have jumped on the bandwagon recently.
Starting point is 00:41:23 And her reply was, welcome to the party. Where are you been? So she's like bringing on all the new streamers. I don't know. Like take on the fans. Yeah, it's awesome. I'll take every band. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:41:35 It's not really a bandwagon if you just like something new. Exactly. I think that there's just like some... The bandwagon if you jump on a team that's winning for the first time in a long time. But if you just like something new, that's okay. That's called growing. Right. I think there's just some artists that have definitely brought some new people in, which is cool.
Starting point is 00:41:49 All right. I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. A woman is driving her SUV right outside of Louisville, Kentucky, and she's going over a railroad track when, uh-oh, the car dies.
Starting point is 00:42:09 That's crazy that a car will die right on a railroad track. I mean, what are the odds? Just in movies. I've only ever seen the car stall over railroad tracks. The only problem is she has her kids inside. And all of the sudden, you hear, Chee, she's probably trying to get one to heart surgery or something, too, right? Yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:42:27 And it's a train. and they can't get the car off the track. Luckily, people were all around. Innocent bystanders jump out of their vehicles. Get out. One, two, three. And they push the car off the tracks. And then you got to be smart.
Starting point is 00:42:46 You have to go throw it in neutral. And then you got to be watching the train. I don't know. That a car would stall over a train track. That to me is bizarre. Did you turn it off when you're on the train track? Why would they also put a place where you stop on top of a train? trying track.
Starting point is 00:43:00 I don't know. And then innocent bystanders, do you mean good Samaritans? Then why didn't the little like get things like down? Yeah, innocent bystanders would be like people that were affected. Yeah, there's a lot to this story. Oh, innocent bystanders are someone that were not involved, but they got hurt or something. Yeah. Like by gunfire.
Starting point is 00:43:16 Sure. Like if there's a gun battle and then the innocent bystander, yeah. So good Samaritans is what I meant. Nice. Everybody's safe, though. Everybody's good. The car's off the track. Train kept going.
Starting point is 00:43:26 It reminds me of a standby of me when you yelled that. train. Yeah, that's where I got that. Oh, it is? Yeah, I don't know if they were really real. You know, train. I know you didn't know that, but I just know it. All right, thank you.
Starting point is 00:43:36 That is what it's all about. That was tell me something good. Got a lot of people upset with Lunchbox and how he acted at the St. Jude event because he'd been drinking, but he was hosting a costume contest. With patience. And he didn't go to any of the events when that.
Starting point is 00:43:53 So, but here's a voicemail. Yes, it's just my opinion. But I think that lunchbox. should not be allowed to attend any more functions that represent the Bobby Bone's show for his poor behavior being intoxicated at the St. Jude event. It's just my opinion, but I don't really think it was funny. Me either. I couldn't believe it.
Starting point is 00:44:15 Did you get a lot of hate in your DMs? I look, I don't know. Oh, okay, stay out of it. I'd stay out of it. All right, here's another one. I heard on the podcast that you were bullied in school, and my daughter is currently dealing with bullies, and I was just wondering if you could share some tips and advice
Starting point is 00:44:31 on ways to help that situation. Thanks. I wish there was a one-size-fits-all. Diffuse, getaway. That's what I did. I had to learn how to diffuse by being funny. That's where I get my funny. If you think I'm funny, great.
Starting point is 00:44:45 If you don't, sorry. Just get away from it as fast as you can. You don't want to be around people that don't make you feel good, period. It can be bullies. It can be toxic people at work. Just get away as much as you can. But it's a whole different. seen since I was in high school
Starting point is 00:44:58 social media. I know. Or anything online. Higher Russian hacker. That's what I would do. Get them back. Yeah, if I can figure out, I would. Anything you want to add? Well, I would just say, I don't know how it's happening if it's online, even going through that with her and blocking certain people there. I would mute them and not block them. Because if you block them, they know.
Starting point is 00:45:14 If you mute them, they don't know, and they think they're still firing away, and they're not. They're just firing into the empty sky. Oh, gotcha. If you block someone they know? Oh, yeah. You go to their page. Oh, I've never blocked anybody. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:45:27 Well, we should do that today. We should block somebody. We should find someone to target on it. Okay, so mute. That's a good. That way, because I just don't want her to see it anymore. And one more. Here you go.
Starting point is 00:45:34 Good morning, studio. I have a morning corny for Amy. What's the difference between a hippo and a zippo? One's big and heavy. The other is a little lighter. Funny? Oh, the zippa lighter. Got it.
Starting point is 00:45:47 Okay. All right, speaking to that, let's do the morning corny. The morning corny. What breed of rooster's lay? eggs. Humalayan. No way. Himalayan. Hymalian.

Starting point is 00:49:42 I'm sorry? I couldn't even hear it. What? I got a pay. I knew all the examples and now this. I'm in. I got a pee. Oh, pee. I thought I said pay.
Starting point is 00:49:56 Pay one. I got a pay. Okay, okay, okay, okay. If nobody had it, they do now after Amy did her whole little monologue there. Yes. Yeah. I figured it out myself by that.
Starting point is 00:50:11 If lunch didn't have it, Amy gave it to him. I had it. Play it one more time. I got it. Amy. I hear it now. Forest Gump. Amy's like, I don't know what he's saying.
Starting point is 00:50:20 Got a pot. He does say it like that. Eddie? That's Forrest Gump. Yeah, lunchbox. Forrest Gump. Good. Next one, go.
Starting point is 00:50:27 Movie is that from the 90s. Lunchbox. Ace Ventura. Incorrect. Ami. Miss Doubtfire. Correct. Miss Doubtfire.
Starting point is 00:50:42 Correct. Next one. You just got to keep living, man. L-I-V-I-N. Movies that from? You just got to keep living, man. L-I-V-I-N. M-M.
Starting point is 00:50:58 In for the win. Amy? Dazed and confused. Lunchbox? Dazed and confused. Eddie? Dazed and confused. Correct.
Starting point is 00:51:06 Next. We got no food. We got no jobs. Our pets heads are falling up. A little harder. 90s. one line movie quotes. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:51:18 Play it again, please. We got no food. We got no jobs. Our pets' heads are falling off. I'm in. I'm in. All right, I'm in for the one. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:51:28 Dumb and Dumber? Amy? Dumb and Dumber. Lunchbox? Ace Ventura. Oh, that's it. Dang it. It's dumb and dumber.
Starting point is 00:51:34 Oh, okay. Pet detective, though. Because it said we. Ace Ventura really didn't have a wee. Oh, good call. Our. Next. Today, Jr.
Starting point is 00:51:49 Today, Jr. Eddie was talking. Today, Jr. You need to hear that again, Amy? Today, Jr. I know who that is. With, um... What are they called?
Starting point is 00:52:12 Dang it. I don't know what you're talking about. I got a bag. Let me talk it out. Let me talk it out. All, three seconds? Amy? The, with Will Smith, the police, the...
Starting point is 00:52:25 Hot. Hot. No idea what just happened, I think. She had a seizure. Cesar right there. Lunchbox. Happy Gilmore. Eddie.
Starting point is 00:52:33 Billy Madison. It's Billy Madison. Yeah. But who's the guy? Adam Sandler. That was Adam Sandler. That was Adam Sandler? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:40 Who did you think it was. I thought it was when Will Smith. Martin Lawrence? Martin Lawrence. Oh, boy. Okay. All right. Two left.
Starting point is 00:52:46 Go. I'm in. I'm in. Lunchbox? Home alone. Eddie? Home alone. Amy?
Starting point is 00:53:00 Home alone. Correct. Last one. Here we go. Welcome to Earth Eddie, have you missed any? I don't think so. I'm in.
Starting point is 00:53:12 I didn't watch enough movies. I think I know this one, though. Welcome to Earth. Oh, I think I got this one wrong. Wait. Joe Diffy. Did he already write it down? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:23 Thurred rock from the sun. Yeah, I wrote it down. I said I'm in. Welcome to Earth. Amy. Men in Black. Lunchbox. Independence Day.
Starting point is 00:53:33 Eddie. Lunchbox is right. I put Men in Black, though. Men and Black is wrong. Independence Day is right. Oh, dang. Mike, what's final scores there? Eddie, six, Amy, five, lunchbox four. Let's go!
Starting point is 00:53:48 I'm the winner! You want to do the tiebreakers that I had here? Yeah, come on. Okay, just for Eddie. This is your championship dessert. Yeah. Go ahead. All right!
Starting point is 00:53:58 Okay, that's a happy go more. No, Big Daddy. Dang, dang. Go ahead. I thought I'd try out my seat legs. Oh, that's Forrest Gump. Back to Forrest Gets. And?
Starting point is 00:54:08 Bye Felicia. By Felition. Friday. Correct. Really? Nice job. Play a song again. Look at this guy.
Starting point is 00:54:16 Nice job. It is. We got one. One of those stories that makes you go, bro, this one's crazy. So a guy calls him to say, I'd like to order a little food.
Starting point is 00:54:31 Like I do all the time, especially if it's like, we've got to have some lunch quick, call up, get a rap, get a little smoothie. But he calls this place. And, you know, he orders it up, and the guy goes and picks it up
Starting point is 00:54:42 and drives off. Well, the guy working at the restaurant that is like the owner sees the guy pick it up and notice he was eating it. And so they have your phone number whenever you order foods. They can call if there's some sort of,
Starting point is 00:54:55 because I get a call someone says, hey, we're out of dragon fruit. And I'm like, is that a real fruit? And it's the whole thing. But this guy calls and goes, hey, man, the customer was eating the food out of your bag. Don't eat it.
Starting point is 00:55:08 And the guy's like, really? He goes, yeah. And so I'm going to re-cook it and just, I'm going to drive it out to you. Oh, wow. That's nice. How about that? The owner drove it out to him.
Starting point is 00:55:16 Like, thanks for looking out and thanks for looking out. And I'm still not convinced dragon fruit's real. It is real. I never seen a dragon fruit tree. I don't think they're here. Are they in America? I don't know. I don't think they're like in the backyard.
Starting point is 00:55:30 I don't believe it. I think they're like elves. Universally accepted. And we're just like elves, look at it. But they're not here, but they're somewhere. I think that's what dragon fruit is. You cut it open and they're white. There's no way of fruit's called dragon fruit.
Starting point is 00:55:43 It has to have another name then. There's no way it's called. dragon fruit. Oh yeah and it grows in California, Florida, and Hawaii. Look at that. Oh, really? Oh, it's not called dragon fruit. It's called a pittia, pittia. Pettaya, thank you. I knew it wasn't a fruit called dragon food. They just do it, they just do it to be cool. I'm not a believer in dragon fruit. So why do we call it dragon fruit? Probably because we can't say pataya, obviously. I just tried to say it wrong. Who knew it sounds so like it's from I knew it wasn't real. What says dragon fruit everywhere I look? Pataya, also known as dragon fruit.
Starting point is 00:56:13 is a superfruit indigenous, the central and South America that is now grown all over the world. Okay, thanks. Okay, it's now grown. Elves. Indigenous too. Antarctica, but North Pole.
Starting point is 00:56:27 Anyway, shout out to this restaurant. Long Beach, Englewood. No, Long Beach, for real, though. Englewood. That's from ABC 7. This reminds me of lunchbox. A banker was fired after trying to expense two sandwiches, two pastas,
Starting point is 00:56:38 and two coffees, and saying eat everything himself before later admitting you shared him with his partner. Ro, row. That's what you do. Do you know who does that kind of crap? You. I do expense a lot of things.
Starting point is 00:56:51 Banking Giant Citibank has won an employee lawsuit against an employee who is fired for claiming expenses for food and drink for his partner during a business trip. So this is also them trying to set a precedent. Yeah. They know this is running. This is like whenever people had lime wire. After Napster was taken down, you get lime wire and you just download like crazy illegally. But then they would go and arrest college kids. and they would do like stings and dorms
Starting point is 00:57:15 and every college could be like what? Oh crap. Now they only did like three times to scare everybody. I know, but those poor three people I got arrested. Everyone's doing it. They're held at gunpoint.
Starting point is 00:57:24 Oh man. Did you download antiletics? All the songs I did. Oh my God. Billy Gilman. How many times you download that track? 20. So that's what's up.
Starting point is 00:57:35 We got fired. Went to court. I mean, is that really a fireball offense? Come on. Sure, it's stealing. That's insane. But it's them. putting a precedent going, if we catch you doing this, you're out.
Starting point is 00:57:45 You're fired. Okay. If you do it at a certain level, you go to jail. Well, why? Have you done it? Never. Oh, okay. Would never do that. Never what?
Starting point is 00:57:54 Have I ever? No, we're not having you ever. Say, am. Yeah. Never have you ever what? Done that. Done that. Done what?
Starting point is 00:58:01 Done that. I just want to say. You can't, because it's going to be using the court of law. You've never bought food or expense something for someone that was with you, Well, no, I have. If you talk to business. That's not a thing, though. And he thinks it's a thing.
Starting point is 00:58:21 If you just talk business, you write it off. It's not a thing. It's like taking a picture with a fan. He'll say Bobby Bones. It's not it. Then you don't get to write off dinner that you have later that night. Yeah, like if I go to dinner and I'm like, oh, yeah, no tables. Oh, lunchbox from the Buy Bones show, that's business.
Starting point is 00:58:36 That's not it. That's not it. When you drop the name. But that, you're not going to get, uh, fired from this job because you're not stealing from this job, but you're not supposed to write that off. Oh, I thought that. But they also can't prove that you didn't talk business the whole time. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:58:52 They didn't have microphones there. They might. They might, yeah. Okay. How crazy would that be if they start bugging restaurants? You don't think everything's bugged. You know, like, our phones are bugged. I mean, we live bugged.
Starting point is 00:59:03 They can monitor every single thing. When I go to the bathroom and have my computer, I'm like, I got to turn this thing. I got to put my screen down. I do that too. Because that's the one thing I don't want on the internet. How often you go to the bathroom with your computer? A lot. Depends.
Starting point is 00:59:16 Mine's like maybe once a week. I got butt issues, so if it, like, it rips. And so if it, it's like I'm having a baby, and, you know, they're like, cut it. So if that happens, and I'm going to be in there for a long time because there's going to be pain, I'll go and post up. Get some work done? Yeah, because I might as well. I'm going to be in there going through labor anyway. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:39 Yeah. But I'm sure whoever's looking. I need stirrups for the toilet. Stop, stop, stop. What a terrible thing. Because I have injuries. I'm not being a girl that have injuries. Yeah, but what are you going to do with the stirrups?
Starting point is 00:59:49 Put my feet in them. And for what? I don't know, but. Is the doctor going to go in there and look at it? That's a good point. You're just going to send stirrups? I thought it helped, like, the baby come out. How did we get on this?
Starting point is 01:00:00 Like, how did we go from? And Dragon Fruit, I knew it was a lie. Yes. Well, I think this is a scam, scammeler, I think. Scam alert. Scam alert! Scam alert! I just got this text so we can all figure this out together.
Starting point is 01:00:16 Because they do text you sometimes to be like, you're a package, I can't get to the door. This says the USPS package has arrived at the warehouse. It cannot be delivered due to incomplete address information. Please confirm your address in this link. And it gives me a link. The U.S. Postal Team, which is you a wonderful day. That's nice.
Starting point is 01:00:33 It's USPS your.us. And it's from Yaya 13009 at 160. 3.com. Oh yeah, that can't be right. That can't be right. But or is it just, that can't be right, right? What's the USPS what? USPS, Y-O-U-R, one word, USPS your dot US.
Starting point is 01:00:55 That sounds kind of legit. Dot US. I know. There it goes to the USPS. It does? It does. What's the back three letters on it? Or back to dot com.
Starting point is 01:01:07 Do we think this is, see, this is the thing. But what else would it be? We need people to promise us they're not scams and they'd send this stuff. Yeah, they should say in the text, not a scam. We promise it's not a scam. Yeah, then I'd click. I got one at midnight last night from 7-2-1-66.
Starting point is 01:01:23 That's the number that it's from, but it says, Chase Fraud. We declined an $87. $32. That might be real, though, because of the number. That is my card ending that they provide. And it says, but where it was was SP full, As flower shop.
Starting point is 01:01:41 Triple X store off of the highway 39. I got one last night too. It says, your code will expire in 10 minutes. Oh. That's a scam. I know one of those? That's a scam.
Starting point is 01:01:51 I'm like, what code? We don't think Yaya 13,09 at 163.com is legit right. I don't think so. That's shady. But now I need to see if my... I think yours is real. Lunchbox is for sure fake.
Starting point is 01:02:01 I think mine's a scam. I'm going to let it be. Let's do the news. I didn't went to the website. Bodies. Stories. A woman downs 48. oysters. Her date heads for the door before the check.
Starting point is 01:02:15 An Atlanta woman was ridiculed online after posting a TikTok of her eating 48 oysters followed by a crab cake and red potato entree while on a date with the guy. The guy had one drink and he was like, you know what? I'm going to get out of here. She went hard. Left her with a $184 tab. When the fourth plate came out, he was looking at me crazy. I don't give a blank. I had to. It was so good.
Starting point is 01:02:38 That's from the New York Post. Listen, you be you, but then don't be upset when someone doesn't react the way that you want to you being you. Right. So you can't go, I'm going to live life and be free, and then get mad when people don't like how you're living life and be free. If you're going to live life and be free, do it, but then be free and don't bother yourself with what they're doing. And she's got to pay for it, right? Absolutely. She ate all right. Who eats 48 oysters?
Starting point is 01:02:58 That's a lot of oysters. I know. I feel like that could be, you're just setting yourself like for-you-old-law. Like, I feel like they're going to have to cut off a limb or something. Because you're eating so many oysters, for sure. One of them have something in it. We always hear about gang green, from oysters.
Starting point is 01:03:11 Marin Morris and Ryan Hurd filed for divorce after five years together. Saw that. Out of nowhere, to me, I like them both. Was a little blindsided by it. Not that I shouldn't have been blindsided, but I didn't, that was crazy.
Starting point is 01:03:28 And I would say that I'm like second level friends with them. So not first level that I would know this was going on. I had no idea. Enjoy them both. Can't, I didn't know it was going. going on. So I really know nothing about it. That's from the Tennessean, but wanted to mention it, even though I know nothing about it so people aren't like, you're not mentioning it. Ray, callers want to
Starting point is 01:03:48 know, is this the envelope that you had? It is not the envelope. Well, then who's in the envelope? Can you play voicemail number two, Ray? This is Chris in Pittsburgh. Just calling to see if Ryan Hurd and Mayor Morris were the country music secret that Ray had like a year and a half ago, and top country duo was going to split up. It's all that they were getting divorced. So just wanted to see if that was them. And you're saying it's not. Yeah, it's not.
Starting point is 01:04:17 And I didn't know that I was going to do this envelope thinking there was going to be four massive country divorces the same year that I did. Didn't plan on that. But the one that you have still didn't get divorced. Correct. So do you think you were wrong about that or just hasn't happened yet? I don't want to be right, but it just hasn't happened yet or for whatever reason they were able to keep it under wraps. And what was the clue again in country music secrets? I mean clue.
Starting point is 01:04:40 You gave us a clue. I mean, I said the guy was an artist and she's not. Right. So it couldn't be them. All of these are both are artists. Okay. Kelsey Carly and then Marin. And then how did you know this country couple is getting divorced?
Starting point is 01:04:55 A friend of mine on Music Row said it's widely known. I can't believe it hasn't made the trades yet. That they're already divorced or getting divorced? That they're just done so. I mean, their marriage is over. Maybe they were able to keep the legal stuff. they were still married, but apparently they're done. Well, that would mean the marriage still going on then if they keep the legal stuff.
Starting point is 01:05:12 And that's why I didn't make the trades. Yes, because you don't really put in the trades. Well, they're still married, but they hate each other. I've never seen that story. Or could they have, could you have heard something, but then there's reconciliation? No. Ray's never told me who it is. And I don't ask them who it is because I never want to know something and play like I don't,
Starting point is 01:05:34 because I'm not a very good actor like that. But I'm so confused as to who it could be. Do I know them, know them, or do I know them, or do I not know them? You definitely know them. And I believe that one time you guys hung out a little bit more than you do. Got it. What's that mean? I know who it is.
Starting point is 01:05:49 There's no way you can get it from that. Yeah, it is. More than you do you do? I'm going to write it down and I'll come show you. Well, make it look like a long name or a short name. Well, also, if you don't get it, what's the punishment since you're holding the show up to go to this? Okay, then never mind. We're moving on.
Starting point is 01:06:04 Ray, don't react to it in any way. Don't react to it anyway. Don't react to it anyway. If he wants a gamble, let him gamble. His writing is so bad. Yeah. Okay. Here's why you should make your phone screen black and white.
Starting point is 01:06:15 Did you know you can do that? Yeah, I know you can make the color. It's like less appealing or something maybe? That's exactly it because all the colors are put in as positive reinforcements for the scrolling and the tapping. And gray scale apparently doesn't affect the brain as much. And you won't have as much of an urge to be on your phone or to get the rewards from it because of the colors. Here's the problem, though, when like someone highlights something in an email, You have to like scroll over it to see what it is because it's not highlighted.
Starting point is 01:06:42 It's black. Oh, that totally black? Yeah, yeah. So like the highlight, it would be like, yeah, like a dark gray or something and you can't really read it. So you have to kind of highlight it with like your scroll or whatever. I mean, how many things are you reading that are highlighted? Like Mike Sammy's one this morning and I was like, oh, what's the highlight? I got to stroll over it.
Starting point is 01:07:00 Oh, you're on gray scale? Yeah. Oh, you're on gray scale? Yeah, man. Why? Even my computer's gray scale. Did you learn that at church? No, look.
Starting point is 01:07:08 I did. No, it's a grace scale, dude. Why are you doing that? It was just an option. No, it's not gray scale. He's in dark mode. Oh, that's different. That's not gray scale.
Starting point is 01:07:19 There's literally red and blue ink all over your computer. Oh, you goober. Dark mode means at night the really brights are dark, so it doesn't, like, shine through the room. No, that's not what this is. I'm all black. Are we going to trust you people or are we going to trust Morgan who runs our digital? Trust people. It is dark mode and you can do it all the time with your email that you have changed the setting.
Starting point is 01:07:40 No, guys, guys, my background is black. Eddie's like that's white. He's light off his phone. He's walking about it. USBs.com. He has all the colors. Eddie, did you hear the story? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:52 Gray skill. Dark skill. Oh my God. That's from XL 93. So you just keep yours on dark mode. I don't know, dude. I thought it was gray skill all the time. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:08:02 You don't know. Now we've got to that point. The best dogs for protection. Ooh, Rottweiler. Three-way tie between Rottweilers, Chihuah. Chihuah. Chihuah.
Starting point is 01:08:10 Chihuahua. Best dogs to punt if a robberer comes in, I think. Man, when I used to walk, Joe see my Rottweiler, I feel like Cs would part. Dogs at their core have a desire to protect their owners, but they said the dogs are great. Fighters, too,
Starting point is 01:08:24 and those specifically, they will defend you by whatever means necessary. I don't think Stanley, oh, there was a guy out checking a meter yesterday in our yard. I didn't know he was in the backyard. Stanley can run free. For the most part, we'll be out there with him because we have a pool. We don't want him drowning. Bulldogs can't swim.
Starting point is 01:08:39 But he can run free if we're out there. I didn't see the meter guy. Stanley sees a friend. Hall's butt at him. Whoa. Meter guy sees the dog. Apparently doesn't love dogs or thinks the bulldogs going to kill him. Takes off running through the backyard.
Starting point is 01:08:54 Oh, no. It's a running. I look up and I see somebody running through the back. And then I see my bulldog chasing him. You probably thought it was a robber. I know what was going on. And then I couldn't stop laughing. And I was like, Stanley, stop, stop.
Starting point is 01:09:05 He's all the only going to do is like lick him or like jump up on his leg. It was awful and hilarious. Wow. I'm glad nobody got hurt because he definitely could have been like, I got them to get them to get them to get sued. I'd have been like, that's true. So you can sue me. Mr. Aldeen. I'm Jason Aldeen.
Starting point is 01:09:20 Please. Contact me whatever you want. It was crazy to watch the dogs like because he's big fat. He's lost a little weight, but his jaws. The dog. Yeah. Not Al Dean. The dog.
Starting point is 01:09:29 Jason man lost weight too. I don't know. No, I meant the meter reader. Oh, yeah. Marriage counselors point out how you. you behave in a restaurant with your spouse indicates how strong your marriage is. Couples that are in amazing relationships eat at the same pace. They tend to want similar food experiences, talking and eating while keeping an even pace.
Starting point is 01:09:46 If a couple is struggling, they'll finish it drastically different times with little conversation and their bodies will be angled away from each other from foodology.com. I will say I'm very happy that my wife has adopted and adapted to how I like to eat at restaurants. I like to sit down. I don't like to do just drinks. And if we order our appetite, I like, we're going to sit down. I'm going to tell everything I want right then. Because it's not, the waiter likes that too.
Starting point is 01:10:11 Because we're going to be off your table. You can put another little four top there. We'll leave our two from a four top. You put four people there. All good. And I'm like, okay, yep, we're going to have this. Do you have a mock tell list? Do you have me to create it in my head?
Starting point is 01:10:22 You can go to the bar. So I'm going to have this mocktail. I'm going to have a sunrise mocktail in a, no, daquery. I'm going to have the soup. I'm going to do the chicken. And then we're going to split a piece of the pumpkin pie. So we do all that up front. And then when the main entree comes, I like to check because I want to sign it and be done.
Starting point is 01:10:43 So on my last bite, we can just walk out. Do you ever do it her way? That's not her way. You said she adopted to your way. But I wouldn't say that she has a way. That's the general public way. If there are people with us. Yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:10:58 It's okay, dude. Hey, I order pepperoni, mushroom pizza, all our relationship. And then after like 20 years, she's like, you know, I don't like pepperoni or mushroom. So we do that sometimes. Sometimes you will say to me if we're with other people, hey, we're with other people. Right. That means we don't play by your rules. Right.
Starting point is 01:11:14 Because I'll just sit down and naturally just order everything all at once. Don't come be like, is everybody ready? And nobody's even open the menus. And I'm like, yeah, we're all ready. And then I don't care if they've looked or not, but I'll go, I'll order first and slow. That way everybody will know. You send a message. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:28 It's like, chop, chop, chop. Mm-hmm. chopy chubby, chubby, let's get going. I'm hungry. But anyway, that's not often loved when I do that with groups. Right. Do you know I do that? How you do?
Starting point is 01:11:41 Yeah, I know how you are. I think we've all been there when you do that. I know exactly how you do. And sometimes even avoid like having to make sure they bring the check on the last dish that's brought out. You just go give them your card well before. Which we appreciate that. You appreciate it because I'm paid. I appreciate that part.
Starting point is 01:11:57 I appreciate it too because I want to get out. Yeah. We all win there. We've had our time. We ate. We're good. You know, it's all great. Are you always second guessing yourself, experts say from the University of Michigan to stop wasting time going back and forth between options.
Starting point is 01:12:11 Go through gut instinct. Once you decide, move. Talk to your partner, your boss, and move forward. People who were decisive have fewer regrets. Are you a second guesser, Amy? I spent a lot of my life that way, but I've been working on it. It's been one of my assignments for the last year from my therapist to just make a decision. to just make a decision and do it from like even what I want to eat something small to like big
Starting point is 01:12:36 decisions could it be like look at the menu instead of back and forth and back and forth to pick something good for you make a decision don't ask anybody else with they're eating don't be like oh what do you think of it no make a decision yourself yeah exercising that muscle I probably am a little too the opposite I never second guess myself I don't even spend enough time first guessing sometimes I'm just like that go because I feel like I can learn even if I mess up I can really learn from the mess up but I'm just going to go to it to it. it quicker. I'm going to be right half the time anyway. And the other half of the time, I'm going to be
Starting point is 01:13:04 all the way to the second option, because I've already messed up the first option by the time the second guessers even figuring out what he wants to do. Or she wants to do. Yeah, I'm a little too quickly sometimes. Robert De Niro 80 admits his girlfriend, Tiffany, does the heavy lifting with the baby. Well, because shocking. Like carrying the baby or like
Starting point is 01:13:20 all the work? Everything, Roy. Oh, boy. So I support my girlfriend, but she does the work. And we have help. It's important. What's important help? he's 80 or being supportive I mean it's tough to live
Starting point is 01:13:33 at his age also just a naked 80 year old oh man what what am I mean 79 yeah oh her dad oh my gosh
Starting point is 01:13:44 but that's different I know that's you helping him when he was older I'm talking about making sweet love to him okay no I'm not you like that
Starting point is 01:13:53 no move on but you know we're all gonna be there All of our bodies. We're all going to be there. I'm not saying it's bad. I'm just saying.
Starting point is 01:14:01 But usually like whoever is going to see that as the same age. So you get dealing with the same stuff. Not this. Wait, how is this girlfriend? 45. So this is very different. Finally, they're going to start charging for Twitter for X. But I really, I agree with what they're doing.
Starting point is 01:14:17 Now listen to this. X, it's stupid to call X because there's just so many X's. I don't even hate the name X for it, but they're just 10. There's just so many, it's just such a generic thing. Yeah. Twitter or whatever. They're going to charge. charge $1 a year and it's going to eliminate so many bots.
Starting point is 01:14:32 Oh, that's genius. So it's the not a bot plan. It went into effect in New Zealand and the Philippines yesterday. And eventually it's going to be what happens here. I think it's a great idea because you're going to have people paying for 10,000 bots. They've got to pay a dollar apiece. Can you just do like Apple Pay? Does they make it easy?
Starting point is 01:14:47 I'm sure you'll be, if it's technology based, I'm sure you can use technology to pay. Nobody's going to want to log in. I don't know. I haven't talked to the Bonds department. Dude, they're also going to make a ton of money. Well, a lot of people also won't stay. And it's $1. Okay. How many users are there?
Starting point is 01:15:03 Twitter also loses a lot of money. They haven't really figured out how to monetize that and make money yet. Oh, really? In a way that, yeah. I feel like they got billions. I don't know how many users they have, but they have like hundreds of millions of users, dollar apiece. Thank you. Twitter has $528 million monthly active users.
Starting point is 01:15:20 Pretty good. Wow. There you go. Not bad, $520 million. Right up to that. You should have a dollar a month. I don't think people would stay for that. I think it's just you're not going to
Starting point is 01:15:29 bought up for a buck if you're making 10,000 Bonds. Now I've got a question. Oh, I see what you're saying. You'd have to pay $10,000 for 10,000 bots. Great Danes Shea song. 10,000 hours for 10,000 bots. All right. Thank you. That's the news. Those were Bobby's big. Stories.
Starting point is 01:15:47 Coming up the top five, most country songs, according to science, the most country. And then I think we can finally go in on Abby and her relationship. I think she's going to talk about it a little bit today. Okay. If we have time for the first time. Do we? Great.
Starting point is 01:16:02 You don't want to hear about this? I can't wait to hear how they met in DMs and he's a fan of the show. That's what you're. Once our autograph. Okay. We'll come back in a minute. A win is a win. A win is a win.
Starting point is 01:16:15 I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me. Cliver Taylor the 4th. The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistency in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in someone, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for.
Starting point is 01:17:44 Sunlight's the greatest disinfected. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Alesspian, Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. this is Love Trap. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences.
Starting point is 01:18:05 Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Americopa County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges. This isn't over until justice is served in Arizona. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. There's two golden rules
Starting point is 01:18:27 that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl.
Starting point is 01:18:54 I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves.
Starting point is 01:19:11 Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. All right, what's the most country song? Meaning, for sure, it's country. It represents people who love country. It has lasted, you know, kind of what they call it,
Starting point is 01:19:36 the test of time. Yeah. And they're not all super old, but I have the top five as determined most country songs ever. Everybody just take a stab at one or two of them, and if you don't get it, we'll move on with the list. Mamas don't let your babies be cowboys. Grow up? Grow up. To be cowboys.
Starting point is 01:19:56 Yeah. Mommas, don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys. I didn't say anything. No. You yelled something. You go something. You went, bago. She glitched again. Did you not remember?
Starting point is 01:20:05 Did you not remember that? No, I think maybe I was reacting to the song title being incorrect, but it's fine. He did say that incorrect. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Willie, you love Willie. I love Willie and Whalen. Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys. Didn't make the list.
Starting point is 01:20:19 It's a good one. Really? Dang, okay. Stans the test of time. Something from Dolly, I'm sure. Do you have a guess? Mm-hmm. Jolene?
Starting point is 01:20:28 Yeah, Jolene did make it. Here you go. From 1973. Lunchbox, what's Jolene about? Oh, now that I think about it, out loud. That's about Jolene, the secretary at work. Stealing the husband. Like, don't.
Starting point is 01:20:56 You know, I don't know if it's secretary-specific. I think it was at a bank. But. Man, I just came up with that right now. And that's in the words, right? Does it say in the song, she works at the bank? No, no, but Dolly was... She used to work at the bank.
Starting point is 01:21:08 I'd give her my withdrawals. Jolene, she was there. I swear, when Dolly was in here one time, she said... Yeah, it was bank. Yeah, she is someone, like a teller at the bank. Oh, that inspired the song? No. No, it inspired.
Starting point is 01:21:22 No, it inspired a song from her. Okay, that's one of them. Anybody else? Yeah. She thinks my tractor sexy. That's a good guess. She thinks my tractor sexy. I mean, that has country written all over it.
Starting point is 01:21:33 It really turns her all. It stands a test of time and it's country. Did not make the list. What? There's only five. I'm sure they're a bunch of things. Oh, ring of fire. No.
Starting point is 01:21:43 We just throw them out. Boots sco and boots go. Friends in low places? Yes. Wow. Lunchbox, what does friends and low places? What's it about? Like, not exact literal, but like what?
Starting point is 01:21:56 What's the reason? It means that you got friends everywhere that are always down to have your back and have a good time. That works. And drink some whiskey. Well, that part, okay. He's going to a fancy place, right? Well, I think the song is really about genuine friends. It doesn't matter.
Starting point is 01:22:14 High society, low places. It doesn't matter. matter. It's just what truly matters. It's an anthem of friendship and camaraderie, I would say. Interesting. Like deep down. But in the song, he does go to like a fancy place. I have no idea dude. Because he showed up in boots and they're
Starting point is 01:22:28 all wearing like ties and suits. Ruin her black tie fair. Right. But his friends weren't there. His real friends were out in the country. Yeah, he's like, hey, don't play me. That's the city limit sign. Don't play me. I never listen to words. I mean, I'm such a not a word guy. Blame it all on my boots. I showed. Wait, blivet all my roots. I showed up in boots and ruined her black tie fair.
Starting point is 01:22:46 Yeah, but I don't think that's what the songs about it. I think it's more like, I don't fit in here. Well, she was surprised to see him, though. Right. And he didn't get in there. But he could have missed it all. And then he could have missed it all, but he didn't want to miss a dance. Well, no, that's a different song.
Starting point is 01:22:58 Hey, and then he raises his glass and he says, you can kiss my, you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, he's definitely. So he's at a party. And they did attract meet. Point to me. He's running a race. No, no, that's standing outside of the fire. And a piano gets, that's all over.
Starting point is 01:23:09 Okay, what about Amarillo by morning? No. All my exes live in Texas. Oceanfront property. No, he didn't make it. Oh, George. Number five is Jolene. Number four.
Starting point is 01:23:18 Toes. Let me tell you a bit about the song and see if you can name it by me, given the descriptive, okay? This song's about seizing the moment and embracing the beauty of life. Carbidium. Even in the face of mortality. The song's message. Live like you're dying. Live like you were dying.
Starting point is 01:23:33 These are the most country songs ever. Number three was Friends in Low Places. There are two left here. I'm going to watchbox at that point for that one. That was kind of game. What? I'm going to get from a point for that one because that was kind of gamish. Forgettingness.
Starting point is 01:23:54 Yeah. Okay. Okay, next one up. This next song that's number two on the list captures the essence of longing, nostalgia. Oh, that's strawberry wine. No, that's summer. Oh, Garth Brooks.
Starting point is 01:24:09 Yeah. That's a creepy song. Need to feel the thunder. And following the tug of our hearts. It paints a vivid picture of a serene and idyllic countryside. Cowboy, take me away. Where we feel a deep-rooted connection. Oh.
Starting point is 01:24:21 Morgan, do you know it? Take Me Home, Country Roads? Yeah. Denver, he was a country back in today, which is the craziest thing I've ever heard in my whole life, and I've heard some crazy stuff like the Dragon Foods real. Man, I don't know if I ever got that one. Country Road.
Starting point is 01:24:45 Do you want to hear Eddie do the harmony? As I do this, listen, how good he is. Take me home, Country Roads. Now you do the harmony, Andy said, Eddie said, take me home. Okay, all right. I did it. Yeah. Number one, ready?
Starting point is 01:25:00 This song, is more than just a country love song. It captures rawness of human emotions. It resonates with those longing for connection. Fancy. That's interesting. That's not turning your kid into a prostitute. No.
Starting point is 01:25:17 Oh. It resonates with authenticity. It's a promise to stay true to one's values and the ones they hold dear. It's your love. It does something to me. The dance? No, that's not. I'll give you the year, you'll nail it.
Starting point is 01:25:35 No one, don't do it give me the year. Give me another description. The song is about staying true to one's values. Like, if you're going to stay true. Say true to yourself. True colors. You're going to do this. Eight second ride.
Starting point is 01:25:46 What in a lot? True. Okay, we need the year, guys. We need the year, guys. Wait, one more hand. First, lingered on Billboard's top 200 charge for 23 weeks. In 2014, Rolling Stone gave it the number one spot, I don't know. It's 100 greatest country songs of all time.
Starting point is 01:26:02 Humbling kind. Amazed. Not 2014, but you. The year was 1956. Oh, 56? Ring of fire. I love Johnny and June. Walk the line.
Starting point is 01:26:15 Correct. There we go. I keep a close watch on this part of mine. I walk the line. I keep my eyes wide open all the time. I keep the ends up for the time. How does this stand the time, whatever time? Like, because Johnny Cash was able to thrive in different genres.
Starting point is 01:26:37 Pop, rock, country, gospel. Back in the day, he was a pop star. Even though it was a country store, he had a television show from the Ryman. He also had movies about him. He was very influential to country music today. I think there are a lot of things, but he keeps being brought back up too. Yeah, Johnny, I mean, yeah, for sure. I don't know, I thought Whalen and Willie would be on there.
Starting point is 01:26:58 Yeah, like, all the road again. Something. Waylon's not on the road again Oh, I was just talking about Willie. I don't know who Whalen? Yeah, yeah. You don't know who Whalen is? I mean, I've heard the name.
Starting point is 01:27:07 Don't, he couldn't name a song. He's seen. You could probably. But you can't name a song, anybody's thing, so. Waylon. No, no, I agree. No, I know what it is. You would know.
Starting point is 01:27:19 Mama, don't let your boys be cowboys. Well, I told you that. No, you would know, uh, go to Luke and back days. Oh, Willie, Whalen, and boys. Oh, I thought Willie sing. that. He's on it.
Starting point is 01:27:32 He comes in. How about just the good old boys. Oh, yeah. That's the Belly doing no heart. Duke's a Hazard theme. That's correct.
Starting point is 01:27:42 He's a good-hearted woman in love with the good-hearted man. The timing man. I don't know words. I don't know. I don't know that one. Okay.
Starting point is 01:27:53 Well, you don't know that one? I don't know the good-hearted man. That sounds like pick up. She's a good-hearted woman in love with the good-timed man. That's what it is? Yeah, man. Because I think, yeah, she loves him, but he's a cowboy, you know I mean?
Starting point is 01:28:05 He likes to hang out bars. Her miss US, I think. She's a good-hearted woman in love with good time and man. She loves him in spite of that she don't. I don't understand. Dude, I didn't even know what the words were to last night until I started singing it, looked it up. This is a story of a girl who cried a river and drowned the whole world, although she looked so. Sad in photographs.
Starting point is 01:28:29 No, there's more than that, though. Is there? Hold on me there again. This is the story of a girl who cried a river and drowned the whole world. I was singing it last time. I was like, those are the words? Let me try one time. Who cried a river and drowned the whole world. And why she looks so sad in photographs, I absolutely love her when she smiles.
Starting point is 01:28:48 But I don't understand it. I don't understand that either. Some songs, you know, like they don't need to make sense. Country music has to make sense. What? Like country music songs, they have stories to them. Yeah. And other genres, they just say stuff sometimes.
Starting point is 01:29:04 Yeah, sometimes I just have a melody and they just fit words. Okay, this is the story of a girl. I cried a river and drowned a hallway. Why are you looking at that song up? Anytime anybody says the words, this is, this is. This is. I always go, if I go, this is, I go, the story of a girl. That's why, and I did that.
Starting point is 01:29:18 That's a fun game. Abby is our phone screener during the show, but she produces so many things when she's not in the hours of the show. Big part of our group here. and she's kind of been handing around insinuating that she's dating somebody new although she won't really say it. So what do you want to say? Because I'm hearing now that you'll talk about it a little bit.
Starting point is 01:29:41 Yeah. Well, I've kind of wanted to just keep it like on the download because I wanted it to be based on trust, right? Like I'm not just going to go tell you guys everything on air and talk about it. But I'll like start from the beginning and then like where we are. So when I was home for Christmas in Wichita, That's how we matched.
Starting point is 01:30:00 Oh, on a dating out. What you have? Bumble. Got it. Yes. And so we never actually got to meet when I was back home because I came back. But we FaceTime every day. I gave him my number.
Starting point is 01:30:12 I was like, look, if you want to keep in touch. Like, here's my number. You faceTime every day? Yeah. Wow. Like, every day. How quickly did it move from Bumble to FaceTime? Like when I came back to Nashville?
Starting point is 01:30:22 Because I was like, I'm probably going to delete the app. I'm not going to stay on here or whatever. So here's my number. And then like, One of the first moments I got back here that we just FaceTime to be like, let's just see. And we hit it off and we talked every day. How long every day? Like an hour.
Starting point is 01:30:37 Wow. Like we'd be cooking or whatever. Like he'd cook dinner and we'd be talking. Like it was really fun. It was so fun. Okay. And so the first time we met is when he picked me up from the airport in Kansas City because I was like, you want to be my date to my friend's wedding. And so he met my parents.
Starting point is 01:30:53 He met all my friends from Kansas. Well, I think it's different if it's out of, if it's a, she didn't arrange. for that meeting with her parents. That's different. Yeah, they went to the wedding. That's the thing. It's a wedding. I agree with that.
Starting point is 01:31:04 I probably wouldn't have had them, but they were going to the wedding anyway. And if you've been talking with them that long and he lives up there anyway, it's a great date to have. So far, I'm with you. Yeah. How'd that go?
Starting point is 01:31:14 It went really well. It's the first time you saw his feet? Yeah. Yeah. Oh yeah, that was another thing too because he picked me up and I was like, oh my gosh, what if he doesn't. But I knew what he looked like,
Starting point is 01:31:25 so he FaceTime. So everything was fine. But we had the best. time at the wedding, like I was like, oh my gosh, this is what it's about. Like, all my people are together. Like, I have a great guy. We were dancing. It was so fun. You danced all night? Yeah. Uh-huh. Do you smooch on the dance floor? No, my parents were there. No. And then, like, a month later, he came to visit me, had a great time. No. Lunchbox, I don't want you to interrupt it. He's raised in his hand. I want to hear our story because you're going to sidetrack it.
Starting point is 01:31:52 You know, it's a big, big, big question about the wedding. Do you get one question? Do you want it now or do you want it later? No, no. This is the wedding. Save the question. You want the question now or do you want it? Save it. No, I may have questions later. We're going to run out of time. Save it.
Starting point is 01:32:04 You want it now or later? No, you guys are wasting time. Okay, go ahead, Abby. It's a story. So yeah, he, I don't know, where was I? Oh, he came to visit me. Yes. Everything was great.
Starting point is 01:32:12 He flew down here? Yes. Uh-huh. Went to a really nice restaurant. He stayed with you? Yes. Okay. And then.
Starting point is 01:32:19 How many days? Four days. Oh, wow. Good. Okay. And then he invited me to one of his family members' wedding. and I met his entire family, like everybody. Back in Kansas or Missouri?
Starting point is 01:32:30 Kansas, yeah, it was very overwhelming. It was his whole family, like his nieces and nephews, his siblings, his parents. That was overwhelming to you? Yeah. But was yours overwhelming to him? Probably. I mean, he didn't say it. He played it off very well.
Starting point is 01:32:42 Like, he was very comfortable. That's why he was so easy for him to talk to everybody. Like, it wasn't weird. It was cool. Did you not play it off well? I think I did, yeah. But inside, I was just like, oh, this is a lot. And everybody was saying there, they were like, oh, my gosh, this is a lot for you to come to somebody's family's wedding.
Starting point is 01:32:56 I meet everybody. Anyway, yeah. So everything was great. It was awesome. And then everything started, we didn't see each other that much. It's tough. And then, yes, distance is very hard. And the face time isn't an hour anymore.
Starting point is 01:33:07 Yeah. Then they're 12 minutes. And sometimes you forget to, you don't even do them at all. Then you fight because you're not doing them. And then you start being like, where is this going? Or like, is somebody planning on moving? And. Did you guys have that talk?
Starting point is 01:33:20 How soon? He's moving. That's what you said. Hold on. How long did you, how long did you guys date before? He came down here. Well, since we were talking, five months. Okay.
Starting point is 01:33:32 Because they were like talking. When he came here is when he was like, I'm all in. Like, let's do this. I want to be with you. He came here. He's all in. He's all in. But I've only seen each other once before that at the wedding.
Starting point is 01:33:41 But on FaceTime a lot. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Go ahead. Go ahead.
Starting point is 01:33:47 Go ahead. So then you guys have to have the discussion. What are we going to do? Is there a plan? Basically. Who brings it up? I think he did. Yeah, he did. And it was over the phone. And I already told him at the very beginning. I was like, I know I don't want to move for a couple years at least. Like, I have worked so hard to be where I am now, I'm not going to move back home. And he kind of like straight away from him moving and just realized that neither of us want to move anytime soon. So.
Starting point is 01:34:16 But you don't have to move right now. Yeah, I know. But it's just like it's too hard to, it's a huge commitment like financially and everything. Yeah. All that's true. So you broke up? That's where we're at right now, yes. Oh. What's you laughing at? This feels like a very mature, common, practical way to have,
Starting point is 01:34:38 except for the FaceTiming. But still, even that's kind of, at least you were, like, talking with them on FaceTime. You couldn't do that back in the day. Right. You just had a long, you wrote letters or something, I don't know, candlelight crap, I don't know. Bone calls.
Starting point is 01:34:49 Like Abe Lincoln's like, I'm going to send you this letter. Good for you. Who broke it off with you? Um, it was pretty mutual, but I was the one that was like, I want to talk about it and I can't do this anymore. So. Were you not into him anymore? No, I was, but I need to see you in person. Like, I can't keep doing the face times.
Starting point is 01:35:08 Are you open to exploring the possibility of a longer distance relationship again if you can find a means to find an ending? Yeah, I am, but not at this moment. It's a lot. Did you tell him you loved him? No. Did he tell you he loved you? Mm-mm. Well, that's mature. I mean, because we weren't in person that much, so I feel like...
Starting point is 01:35:29 How many times do you see him in a person? Not days, like when he's here, but how many different instances did you see him in a person? Five separate times. Great. And some of them were for multiple days at a time. Over a period of six months? No. December to...
Starting point is 01:35:44 Until a couple weeks ago, so... Oh, it's been that long? So 10. Yeah, it's been quite a while. I think this is a very mature version and season for you, and I'm very proud of you. Thank you. And that you went 10 months without, you know, giving in to saying something on the show. That's a big deal.
Starting point is 01:36:00 That was very hard. I just felt like I was hiding something. No, we knew that something. And you wrote about them in your song. Right. Edit the song now. Oh my gosh. About that.
Starting point is 01:36:09 What about that? I knew that you were going to say that. But no, I'm going to keep it. That's how I was in my life when I wrote it. I agree. Great. Yeah, Taylor's about changing all of her songs. Great perspective.
Starting point is 01:36:20 Lunchbox, you get one question. I mean, Abby. Oh, question. You just go way too fast. She didn't go fast at all. And she did this in a very mature way. Her family met him the day she met him. That's unbelievable.
Starting point is 01:36:32 That is so crazy. It's a tough circumstance, but it was at a wedding. I don't feel like it was you lowering him into. It wasn't like dinner at their house. Yeah, I'm okay with it. I'm okay with it. Oh, man. Are you sad?
Starting point is 01:36:43 I'm pretty bummed. Yeah. I mean, and it's like going from talking to someone every day and now we don't talk at all. Is that how you've decided you just need to cut it off completely? I did kind of. I was just like, I can. can't just keep doing all this talking when it's not going to go anywhere. Like I need to put my effort
Starting point is 01:36:57 somewhere else then. Or my focus. What do you get naked on camera? What? Yeah, they did. They did. You have to. They have to. This is also none of our business. If they were together 10 months and they only saw each other five times, I'm getting
Starting point is 01:37:11 a little bored of talking on the phone. You know what I'm saying? Unless we're, I'm seeing something. I know what you're saying. So has there been any? Does he have a job that could allow him to afford to come down here every month and you guys switch it up? I think he could. Yeah. Okay. Well, we have to go because we're out of time, but thank you for sharing that with us and being vulnerable. We're very proud of you.
Starting point is 01:37:31 This is a very mature, it's very mature to keep it private for the sanctity of it. It was also, it was you who was like, hey, I don't think this is going to work. And you did that in a way, and I know that was difficult because it doesn't feel good. I know. But hey, it's okay. All right, Ray's telling me I have to go, but Abby, thank you. Yeah, thank you. That's it. This story comes us from Old Lyme, Connecticut. A 74 year old is a bus driver at the local high school, and he picks up nine kids after school, and there's a taxi cab kind of blocking the road.
Starting point is 01:38:06 And he could be patient and wait. Nah, he takes that bus and boom! Rams into the taxi. Reverses? Boom! Rans him five times. Five times. It just costs money to ram.
Starting point is 01:38:21 I know that's not his bus. But he's one way or the other it's going to cost him money. Is it in a job where he can't get a check? Destroy the cab? Yeah, if it's his bus, if it's not, but if it's his, that's going to cost him money because he's got to pay for that or pay. I just don't understand. He must have been having a really, really bad day. It felt disrespected by the cab.
Starting point is 01:38:40 I think there's a schedule you got to keep as a bus driver. Again, I think it's right. You're going to drop him off at a certain time. But never is there, hey, keep this schedule. And if you can't keep it, ram things. That's not part of the bus driver oath. That's crazy. And he wasn't drunk or anything?
Starting point is 01:38:53 No, he wasn't drunk. He was just upset and he fled the scene, so he got charged for fleeing the scene. Again, it's going to cost him money too. He probably set back his retirement if he was even close to that. You know it's wild? I don't have seatbelts on school buses still. Still wild. Oh, for the kids?
Starting point is 01:39:08 Yeah. Yeah, that's a good point. They still don't. We had seat belts, but we didn't put them on. Like randomly they would have a seatbelt, and then the next day the bus would have a different bus and it wouldn't have a seatbelt. It's true. All right, cool.
Starting point is 01:39:18 And I don't think those buses need shoulder straps because that's just hanging to much, but still like a belt strap. Yeah, something. And I know that back of the bus, you could like slam into that. I guess that saves you, but I don't know, I felt like that was weird school buses didn't have seat belts. But no one's going to put it on anyway. I mean, the bus driver can't sit there and... He can, and if they don't, he'll put them out and ram him. You know where you're... Stand out there. Now I hear you. But, you know, just for like regulations, you think they would just have them. Okay, that's what's up. Thank you. I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day.
Starting point is 01:39:48 As we end this show today, I was questioning if I wanted to talk about this because lunchbox may get irritated, but it's not at me, it's at Morgan because she's going on this trip. So are you going to go? I think I am. I wrote back to him because I feel like it'd be really cool. Tell lunchbox what happened. So I got invited to go to New York City to see the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall and get paid to do it. Yeah, you should do that. Amazing. What? Because like being an influencer just to go and hang out, watch them whenever I want some time this year before they're not performing anymore. They're going to pay for a trip. Pay her. pay her and all she has to do is like, I'm here. It's cool. To let other people know,
Starting point is 01:40:26 this is something fun. Why is that stupid? Why am I not invited? Are you an influencer? 100%. What do you influence? If we looked at your Instagram right now or if a brand looked at your Instagram right now. Man, I influenced everything. What is she influence? Hold on. I'm asking you a question. If a brand went to your page right now and said, let's see if we like this guy to influence our product, what are you doing to show that you are into what things and you could speak about it clearly and effectively. I don't understand your question. That's the first problem.
Starting point is 01:40:54 Like your question is very, like, very convoluted and confusing. I don't feel like it was convoluted, but I can't see what to be confusing. Yes. Like, why would a brand want you by looking at your profile? I have a lot of followers, people. I have fans that follow me. Followers don't just matter. Followers don't matter by itself.
Starting point is 01:41:09 But like, I mean, you get a bot followers or have bots. No, but they can look and they can see my, they want to see my interactions. I'll send them my interactions, my insights. You go to that little insights. page. Your engagement. But I mean, but what kind of products?
Starting point is 01:41:23 Anything. No, that's not a thing. I mean, Rockettes. I mean. Oh, you're saying specifically Rockettes? Yes.
Starting point is 01:41:28 I mean, Rockets. I mean, my followers love the Rockettes. And they would love to see me in New York. Mostly, it's Lunchbox posting
Starting point is 01:41:35 clips of this show that go up on the Bobby Bone show page. Occasional I heart radio music fest. That's once a year. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:41:44 I did pretty good. And like three with Jay going. Okay. At the grocery store. for me, I have a lot of sports, football, golf, like healthy eating. I think people would see that on mine and go, oh, because I have brands that reach out to me all the time. And if I don't use it, I won't do it even on mine.
Starting point is 01:42:05 Yeah, more brands need to reach out to me. But you have to present yourself as somebody that would do a good job for them before they trust you to do a good job for them. Like if you go to Morgan's page, you can tell she puts a lot of time at her social media. And she's influenced this thing. She shares things. Restaurants where she's going. recipes. Food.
Starting point is 01:42:21 Yeah. I do that when I go to restaurants. Well, his name's Radio Lunchbox, so they're at Radio Music Hall. Like, that makes sense. Radio City music. Yeah, yeah. Right. I hope it's awesome.
Starting point is 01:42:31 When are you going to go? I don't know. I wrote back to him and send him like my rate card and stuff because that's what they asked for. So I just got to put it all together. They say how much do money do you want? Hey, did you hit him up and say I'd be interested to? No. That's not my dad.
Starting point is 01:42:43 I'm not your manager. It's not you with her. It's like, Morgan, you went to a game. Why can't I go? Morgan, you got free stuff. Why can't I go? It's like that with him and everyone. It doesn't really make sense.
Starting point is 01:42:53 That's true. Thank you. I wanted to share that before we left the show. Thank you. We'll see you tomorrow. Bye, everybody. A win is a win. A win is a win.
