Starting point is 00:02:05 You can be anywhere in the whole wide world, but you're here. And we appreciate that so much. Let's go around the room. First of all, his literal job is our video producer. He's on the air, too, as a co-host, but he's over there pushing buttons all morning long, looking at screens, setting up the scene, moving microphone stands. Here he is. Producer-ready, everybody.
Starting point is 00:02:21 Well, people wonder what you do. Yeah, that's what I do, pretty much. A lot of. Go ahead. So I didn't know my 9-year-old had a New Year's resolution, but apparently he did because the other day he said, Dad, what day is today? And I told him, I don't know, April, whatever. And he said, guys, today, I finally did my New Year's resolution.
Starting point is 00:02:38 And I'm like, well, what was it? He's like, I said January 1st that if I get a sonic blast, I'm going to finish the whole thing. I've never been able to do it. He said, I finally finished the entire Sonic Blast. How old? Which son? He's nine. And it's funny, too, because yesterday I saw on the countertop another Sonic Blast, and there was about like a quarter of it left.
Starting point is 00:02:57 And it was written on there and said, do not touch. I'm not finished with this. You know what? You got to commend it for me to his goal. Yeah. You got to commend him from meeting his goal. Good job. All right, moving over here.
Starting point is 00:03:07 How would you describe lunchbox as a job? What are his duties? Jeez, that's tough. Oh, he chimes in with his opinion quite a bit. He does audio bits. Yeah. Yeah. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:03:18 He records his wife a lot. And he reports the bonehead story of the day. That's true. Here we go. That's right. Here he is. Luckbox everybody. So I was mowing my lawn the other day and this guy's walking his dogs and he waves at me and I wave and he starts to talk.
Starting point is 00:03:34 So I turn the mower off and he's like, hey, man, are you not participating in no mow month? I'm like, what? He goes, yeah, you're not supposed to mow your yard in the month of April because it's bad for the environment. I'm like, what? Like, what do you mean? He goes, yeah, you're supposed to take a stand against mowing your yard in the month of April. It's no mow month. Well, he's really passionate about that.
Starting point is 00:03:55 Just expecting you to know what it is. I have never heard of this in my life. Did everybody else in your neighborhood do no mow month? No, I saw other people mowing, but I have never heard of this. Is this a guy with the Christmas lights? No, a different guy. This guy had his dogs. He had two little dogs.
Starting point is 00:04:07 They were little ducy dogs. You know what I mean? Like, guys should have big dogs. He had a little sissy dog. Maybe there are his wife's dogs. Maybe, but he still allowed them to, you know, you get one big, one small. He had too small. And he was really passionate about this no mowment saying, like, it's supposed to promote health for the sewer systems and the grass and the nature and the bugs and the...
Starting point is 00:04:28 I guess it'd have been easier if he just said, hey, I see you moan. I don't know if you've heard about no moment. It's something that you want to do. Like, that approach is not good. Like, haven't you heard of no moment? Like his other neighbor too said like there was an energy shortage or something with his Christmas lights. Yeah, that was what the problem was. It was an energy shortage.
Starting point is 00:04:43 Never heard of these things. Either of I. I mean, I've been alive for 40. What are you accusing him of? Huh? No, I'm saying the neighborhood's weird. Like no energy, you know, energy shortage and no-mo month? Never heard of that.
Starting point is 00:04:56 Yeah. Me either. And then I drove around and in someone's yard, they do have a no-mo month sign. Was it his? I don't know where he lives. I don't know the guy. You don't know? It's no mo? He got a little cissy dogs. We ain't friends.
Starting point is 00:05:11 Lunch facts, how did you describe Amy's job? Ah, Spacey. No, no, her job. Her job, her job. She didn't say anything about your personality. Oh. I literally said you give opinions. I didn't say anything like a half. Yeah, you do the morning corny.
Starting point is 00:05:27 You bring the emotional aspect of the show. You scroll your phone a lot. and you are Bobby's I don't know sounding board sounding board yeah yeah like Bobby says something
Starting point is 00:05:45 she responds and that's the sounding board like they yeah we call the co-host oh here she is Amy everybody go ahead I don't even know what I was going to say because I was beef the show on Netflix
Starting point is 00:05:56 that we've been talking about because it's people are just saying it's so so good and I finally watched it and it is it's so so good I'm going to keep going And there's just one character in there, Naomi, and I was like, where do I know her from? Where do I know her from? And she's from Emily and Paris, which is another good Netflix show that I can't wait for another season up.
Starting point is 00:06:13 I would have thought beef was about the food industry. It's not. And I would have avoided it because I don't like watching their shows because I like to eat beef. No, I mean, the whole first like 20 minutes, I was thinking something totally different. And then... It's about two people fighting. It's like beef, right? Like you have a problem with them.
Starting point is 00:06:27 Oh, yeah. Like a few, like anger. It makes me to get Eddie because it's like a parking lot. Road rage. Road rage. Oh. Oh, got it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then, Ray, you want to do my job duties instead of the rhyme?
Starting point is 00:06:37 No, I got you. Okay. From Mountain Pine, Arkansas. He hosts the show and comes up with stuff for the show. I think he makes the most dough. Bobby Bones. Thank you. Would you come up with that last minute?
Starting point is 00:06:48 Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're doing that. I like it. Good for you. So I have strained my calf again. I had a really long calf injury I was dealing with. And Eller is our tall, long dog. Stanley is our short, fat dog.
Starting point is 00:06:59 And so I have to take Eller and run her. So now she knows, though, when I put the leash on her to run, It's time to run. So she took off running and I couldn't keep up and I stepped in a ditch. Oh, no. Just my calf hurts when I sleep. That's how bad. You know when you sleep and it's pulsating?
Starting point is 00:07:15 Big time. And do you know why it's not the pulsates? Do you know why that throb happens? Is it healing? It's blood rushing to an injured part of your body. So if anything ever happens, we're a shoulder, foot, toe. If it starts throbbing, that's what's happening. Blood's rushing to it because it's an injury part.
Starting point is 00:07:31 That's like when shark attacks happen, all the blood goes in the water? I don't know if that's exactly the same, But if you see me limping around today, it's because I have a calf injury. Same calf that kept me out for like six months a couple years ago. So are we working out? Are you out? What do you know about me? No, we're going to work out.
Starting point is 00:07:46 Absolutely. I cut off the leg just so it doesn't bother me. Be able to keep going. All right. That's where we are. All right, good. Everybody's here. We're ready.
Starting point is 00:07:53 We've got a good show plan for you today. Thank you for being here. You can always leave us a voicemail. If you don't want to call live, we have a voicemail number 877-77 Bobby. It's time for the. mailbag. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Hello, Bobby Bones. My husband and I are closing on a house this week. It's perfect, but here's the problem. The 75-year-old neighbor who lives next door is far from thrilled. He's done multiple things
Starting point is 00:08:23 to deter us from purchasing the house. Anonymous note. Then he would talk to anyone we hired to assess the house, not only the property, but would call them to ask what they had found. He made threatening phone calls to the bank who's selling the house. He yelled at my mother-in-law who was checking on the house. Finally, the house was vandalized when the lock box was cut from the front door. The police are involved. They've yet to make contact with him. They recommend we trespass him once we have the house.
Starting point is 00:08:49 That seems aggressive, but I'm struggling with options. There's safety there as well. We're not sure why he's so upset with us buying it. There is not the option to live somewhere else, and we don't want to start this move off with bad energy. What would your advice be on how to deal with, a future bad neighbor. Please help.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Signed, we come in peace. That is a bad dude. I wonder what's up what his relationship is with the house in general because he doesn't know them. Really the only way
Starting point is 00:09:15 to actually fix this is to hire muscle to go over and take care of him. Knock on his door. And do some muscle stuff, you know what? The only way is to really go over and have a conversation.
Starting point is 00:09:27 Like what's the deal, man? Nope. That is not the way to do it. Brownies. What's the deal is the way you're going to put them on his heels. make him defensive.
Starting point is 00:09:35 Okay. So you knock on the door and you say, hey, we're moving to the house next door. We just literally wanted to come and say hi and ask you some questions about the neighborhood. Like you want to make it like you're trying to, you get to him for his advice, for something that he can give you input on, make him feel like the authority. Because from that, when he's feeling safe and secure, then you can kind of go in the back way of, hey, how is your relationship with the last neighbor? We want to make sure we have a good place.
Starting point is 00:10:00 Make sure we're in a good place. Cool. Is that cool? You know, we're cool. That's how you find out. You're going, can't be complimentary because you don't know him, but you can go in asking for his expertise and advice. That's almost as good as a compliment because you're saying,
Starting point is 00:10:14 you know a lot. That's the only way you're going to fix this. If he's calling the bank, if he's yelling at the mother-in-law, it's just a lot of weird stuff here. He's also 75. Is he healthy? Yeah, he might not be your neighbor for law. Yeah, which is good, you know.
Starting point is 00:10:28 Well, depends who you talk to. Depends who you talk to. So I would talk to the neighbor on the other side of him if it's like that. I would talk to them and say, hey, is this guy an issue? Like, what's the deal? There's some intel you need first. One, ask other neighbors if this is consistent with his behavior. And if he does this to everybody, that's your baby.
Starting point is 00:10:46 And you just move in and that's it. And you'll figure it out. Is this why the house was for sale in the first place? Yeah, yeah. Did they take it from him? Or they were like, can't stand this crazy neighbor anymore. They sell it because of him? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:57 So that's the only way to fix this. It's not resorting to something's foolish. It's to go, you're an expert here, we need your help. So, easy advice, not really fun or easy to do. The vandalizing, the cut in the lockbox, what kind of 75-year-old can use some bolt cutters? Lunchbox and 40 years. But that's hard to do. Those bolt cutters still take muscle.
Starting point is 00:11:20 Good luck with that. Let us know how it goes. That, that, that is the mailbag. We got your email and we read it on the air. Now it's about to close Bobby's mailbag. Yeah. Ben Affleck stood a bunch of interviews because of air. He directed it.
Starting point is 00:11:37 Yeah. He acts in it. It's a really good movie. I loved it. It's about Nike, Michael Jordan. It's a really great movie. I went to the theater. I don't want to go theater every game in the whole life.
Starting point is 00:11:45 I don't want to go before that. It's worth it, though. It was awesome. So he was talking about, though, because, you know, they wrote Goodwill Hunting, and that's kind of their launch into Hollywood. It was Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. And so he talked about how they got paid $600,000 bucks for the script. 1997 and they blew it all in six months and they bought jeeps and they rented a place for parties.
Starting point is 00:12:07 And he broke down all the money. Here you go. He said, we sold over $600,000. So that's $300,000 each. So each of them, well, let's do Ben. Ben has $300,000. Agents get 10%. So what's lunchbox?
Starting point is 00:12:20 What's 10% of $300,000? $30,000. $30,000. 30,000. So that leaves $270,000. Okay? Well, they had to pay $160,000 in taxes. Because that's on the 300,000.
Starting point is 00:12:33 That's about what it is. Oh, that's terrible. So they each had $110,000 from a script they sold for $600,000. Okay? So they're similar to the $110,000. They don't have any money. Now they do. They each bought a $55,000 Jeep and then they had $55,000 left.
Starting point is 00:12:48 So they went and rented a house for $5,000 a month for a year and just partied. Wow. But that's just to sell the script. Yeah. Because they've made more money on the movie. Way later, though. Yeah. Dang, that's crazy.
Starting point is 00:13:01 Just to sell the script. spent a year just. And they probably signed that deal thinking $600,000 was going to be amazing. They said they were broken six months. Dang. That'll do it. Lunchbox, if you were given $300,000
Starting point is 00:13:14 bucks right now, you've got to pay the taxes on it. But what would you spend $300,000 on right now? A lake house. Like, I think I could afford a lake house with that. You, again, after taxes, you'd have about a, you know, a hundred and, oh. Maybe some land Maybe a...
Starting point is 00:13:33 Maybe a dock. Just a dock. You don't have a boat. Yeah, that's the problem. See? You know what I'm saying? But if I buy a boat, I have nowhere to put the boat. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:42 So, I mean, it's really not that much money to do anything with. I can't buy it Lambo. Oh, could I buy a Lambo? Yeah, you could buy like a 93. See, I don't want that. Vintage, dude. Man. But that's, I mean, I do appreciate them, like, live in life.
Starting point is 00:13:56 Like, I look at it like, you don't need to worry about the future. Just live. for now and that's what they did. They're like, you know what? We did it. Let's party. Well, they said they regretted it and they were broken six months. Yeah. But they're good now. They went out. Would you not put, yeah, but I don't think everybody's good.
Starting point is 00:14:10 Remember the guy we knew they got in a commercial, made six figures, spent it all? Yeah, right away. Like six months. It was broke again real quick. Yeah. It's like the lottery people who went a whole bunch. They're like, we just keep crushing it. Then all of a sudden it runs out. What happened to your jet ski?
Starting point is 00:14:24 Oh, man. Oh, it floated away. That's right. They didn't float away. It was ripped up from my heart and my soul. It was tied up and a flood came And whew It floated away
Starting point is 00:14:35 It didn't float It was tumbled away It flew I mean and water it One other story just about boats Carnival banned some of the cruise passengers that were on their boat for life Because they were caught fishing
Starting point is 00:14:48 From the balcony of their room Legit I would totally do this Man when I go golfing I take a fishing ride with me So I can fish to the ponds But this is not This is not allowed
Starting point is 00:14:58 This isn't in the rule That's amazing though. Dude, this is deep sea fishing. They've been banned for life. Oh, wow. That's crazy. I mean, if you don't go on anymore, though, who cares? Here's the deal, though. Like, what if they caught a marlin? Like, how do they reel that in? Like, say just you lucked out. Oh my gosh, I hooked a marlin. Like, you're in a big carnival curse. Like, how are you going to get that off? You're not. It goes by somebody's window. It's fighting, flipping around. You know how they found them? Somebody posted on a TikTok.
Starting point is 00:15:23 Dang. That's crazy. That's it. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Oh my gosh. This dog. went missing six years ago. It was an American bully named Hennessy. This family had searched for him forever and ever and was like, well, I guess we got to give up.
Starting point is 00:15:43 Nowhere to be found. Well, the dog had been adopted out to another family and renamed Princess, been living with them forever. Hey, Hennessy to Princess? Hennessy to Princess. Yeah. And if you're only named a boy Hennessy, though, right? Am I wrong about that?
Starting point is 00:15:58 Yeah. Hennessy's not really like a girl dog. Like Hennessy is like whiskey. Yeah. Or bourbon. Do they know what sex the dog was? Well, first, I thought it was a guy because of Hennessy, but Princess is... Exactly.
Starting point is 00:16:08 I guess she can name to that Princess. Okay, go ahead. Let me to believe that Princess is a girl. Well, the dog was microchipped. I don't know what happened and why it didn't get checked before, but finally Princess is reunited with her old family and is now Hennessy again. How long was Princess so with the other family total? Four years.
Starting point is 00:16:28 No, with the other family. The second family. Four years. Okay, that's a... Okay, I don't like it. I don't know what to do. Cut the dog in half. That's what you do.
Starting point is 00:16:36 Look, that's what you do. You go, all right. You've had four years here with Princess. You've had four years here with Hennessy. First, you don't cut the dog in half. You put the dog in the middle. You set the people equal side apart. And they go, Princess, Hennessy at the same time.
Starting point is 00:16:49 Princess, come here. Hennessy, come here. You see where the dog goes. Oh, wow. But you got to do it best of seven because sometimes dogs are just stupid. And they just go to like something that shines or a squirrel behind you. Best to seven, that dog, whomever goes to four out of seven times gets to keep the dog.
Starting point is 00:17:03 That's good. Because four years is enough of a time for that new family to actually love the dog. Right, which I wanted this to still sound really good because it is good. And they cut it in half
Starting point is 00:17:11 and they both get half. But the one that goes, no, they need it. They should have the dog instead of cutting it and a half and you go, you know what? You made the right decision and you get the dog.
Starting point is 00:17:18 Is that Bible? It is. Okay. It's kind of familiar. So by back together and reunited with the original family, it's just that they get to have visits with it.
Starting point is 00:17:27 Hmm. This story did not make me feel good. I know it's telling me something good. And I guess in the end, Princess Hennessy has a loving home. And really the moral here is microchip your dogs, microchip and then make sure they're checked. I can't believe at this point of our life, though, microchip dogs don't have some sort of GPS in them. Right? Just see where they are at all times.
Starting point is 00:17:49 And even if that means there's a port coming out of the dog that you've got to charge a little bit. But still we can microchip them, but there's still no way to Jeep. I put the Apple, the tag on our dogs. What do they call it? The air tag. The air tag. Tracks them. But okay, well, the dog's good, so I'm happy with that.
Starting point is 00:18:06 And they get to visit their dog. I don't know. I don't know that I like this story. All right, thank you. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. It's time to play Riddle Me This. These are all kids riddles.
Starting point is 00:18:20 You get it right. You stay in the competition. We go around the room. Riddle me this. Amy, I'll read the riddle. You have 15 seconds. From the end of the second time I read it. to figure out the riddle.
Starting point is 00:18:33 You get it right, you stay in. You miss it. You do a report on Martin Van Buren. I wish. All right, let's play riddle me this. Amy, what has a head and a tail, but no body? What has a head and a tail, but no body? Riddle me this, 15 seconds starts out.
Starting point is 00:18:59 A coin. Is that your answer? Yeah. Correct. You can just say, I'm ready. then I will say okay, and then you say the answer. All right, yeah, because. Because sometimes you say stuff, you're like, that wasn't my answer.
Starting point is 00:19:12 I know. Yeah, yeah. Well, when you say, are you, whatever you said, would you say, are you sure? Are you ready? I'm ready. I'm ready. Then you say it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:19:21 Lunchbox, what has a face and hands but no arms or legs? What is a face and hands, but no arms or legs? Riddle me this. A watch. I need you to say, I'm ready. Eddie? Oh, I'm ready. Okay. Lunchbox? I watch. Correct. Or a clock. We're taking either one.
Starting point is 00:19:44 Eddie, what can be cracked, made, told, and played? What can be cracked, made, told, and played? 15 seconds on the clock. Riddle me this. Play? What can be cracked, made, told, and played. What's told? Eddie? Egg. Incorrect. Do you guys know?
Starting point is 00:20:17 A joke. A joke. Yeah. Joke can be cracked. A joke can be told. A joke can be played. Yeah. I get it now. Two people remain. They riddle me this. Amy, what is frequently served but should never be eaten. What is frequently served but should never be eaten.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Riddle me this. Mayer who are things that are served. What should be served? It's frequently served, but should never be eaten. Frequently served that should never be eaten. That is time. Okay, I'm ready. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:20:57 A tennis ball? Correct. Okay. I was thinking of divorce papers, but yeah. I know. That would, that would work too. I'll accept that. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:21:07 The answer was the tennis ball. What can you hear, but not see or touch, even though you control it? What can you hear, but you can't see it or touch it even though you control it? Riddle me this. Can you see and hear? What can you hear, but you cannot see or touch, but you can't control it. Lunchbox, or what am I supposed to say? I'm ready.
Starting point is 00:21:37 I'm ready. Yeah. Your voice. Correct. That's a good one. Amy. What can you catch but not throw? What can you catch but not throw?
Starting point is 00:21:51 Riddle me this. I'm ready. Go ahead? Fold. Correct. Cold it is. What is easier to get into than out of? Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:22:06 What is easier to get into than out of? Rit told me this. What is it easier to get into? Say it again. What is easier to get into than out of? Oh, lunchbox. I'm ready. Yeah, I'm ready.
Starting point is 00:22:23 Debt. Oh. You know, I'll accept it. It's not the answer. Oh, really? I think that works. It's trouble. Oh, I had bed.
Starting point is 00:22:30 Yeah. I'll accept it. Not on the sheet, but I'll accept it. Trouble, debt. It's a good one. I'll take it. Amy. A cowgirl rode into town on Friday.
Starting point is 00:22:39 Three days later, she left on Friday. How is that possible? A cowgirl rode into town on Friday. Three days later, she left on Friday. How is that possible? It'll be this. Road into town on Friday. Three days later, she left on Friday.
Starting point is 00:22:57 How is that possible? Amy? Because she rode in on Friday. I'm ready? Mm-hmm. Friday is the name of the animal she wrote in. on. Correct.
Starting point is 00:23:07 The horse. Those are so dumb. We're going to have to cut this to 10 seconds now because we've done so many. Lunchbox, 10 seconds on the clock. If the red house is on the right and the blue house is on the left, where's the White House? If the red house is on the right and the blue house is on the left, where's the White House? It's in Washington, D.C. That's so you're ready.
Starting point is 00:23:34 Oh, gosh. I'm ready. How come eight times? They still doesn't. Yes, lunchbox. In Washington, D.C. Correct. Wow.
Starting point is 00:23:41 I started drawing a diagram. I know, so dumb. I saw you. What is tall when it's young and short when it's old. Riddle me this. What is tall when it's young and short when it's old. Riddle me this. Time starts now.
Starting point is 00:24:01 Shoot, what is tall when it's young and short when it's old? Tall when it's young. Time. I need an answer. Time. Tall when it's short. I don't know. Incorrect.
Starting point is 00:24:15 The answer is young. I don't know. You know what? No, Eddie, I can't say what you wrote. Is it? That's funny. It's not a candle. Eddie's was dirty.
Starting point is 00:24:26 Okay, young and old. Also, I would accept it to Eddie. Lunchbox all comes down to this. Yeah. Okay. Because if you get this, you are the winner. If not, we go to sudden death. What invention lets you look right through a wall?
Starting point is 00:24:40 What invention lets you look right through a wall? I'm ready. Yep. People. Incorrect. The answer is a window. Oh. So it's now sudden death between you two.
Starting point is 00:24:57 First one to get the answer wins. Okay. Oh. Just yell your name. Say I'm ready. Just say, look, keep his consistent to say, I'm ready. I'm ready. Screw this up.
Starting point is 00:25:05 Right. Okay. Here we go. The more you take, the more you leave behind. What is it? I'm ready. Go. Step.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Correct. That's it. Footsteps. Let's watch. One of the winner. down to it. Went in a double overtime. They're being so smart. And they stay there!
Starting point is 00:25:34 We're riddle champion. Wow. You guys ready to hear this? We're ready to go for it. That's how we play. Let him finish. He wasn't finished yet. He was still in the middle of him.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Wow. Well, I'm still a loser. Oh, no. No, I'm happy for him. He was still doing... He was still doing... Oh. Didn't the snake sound.
Starting point is 00:26:01 Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. A win is a win. A win. Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th. Starting point is 00:27:09 Two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends... Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist.
Starting point is 00:27:37 I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends.
Starting point is 00:27:56 Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, everyone? I'm Ego Wodom. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and The Big Money Players,
Starting point is 00:28:16 network. It's Will Farrell. Woo. Woo. Woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with him one day. And I was like, and dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet.
Starting point is 00:28:40 Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be.
Starting point is 00:29:04 Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to thanks dad on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. He's got four boys. I'm singing a song before the song. Yeah. And he dads him well. Brace yourself, Drew.
Starting point is 00:29:27 Check this out. No. It's genius. Go ahead. So I'm thinking about starting parenting Sunday. No, no parenting Sunday. Big difference. Big difference.
Starting point is 00:29:37 This means on Sunday we take the day off as parents. We just chill. No parenting. And I'm not saying like don't feed our kids. Don't hang out with them. Get other people to watch them? No. No, no. I'm just saying don't like teach them lessons. Don't get mad at them for doing something. Just chill. Hey, as long as they're not breaking windows, it's a-okay.
Starting point is 00:29:56 Why did this come to your mind? Because I'm exhausted. I mean, dude, Monday, Friday. So every day of the week, I'm exhausted. Wasn't that part of the deal though? Like you had two boys already. Then you adopted two more. So you knew what was happening here. Sure. But when Sunday comes around it, I want to do nothing. I want to watch TV. I want to hang out. So I talked to my wife about it. She said, that's a great idea. Let's just do. no parenting Sunday and we just chill. So tell me how this would work in your mind. You wake up in the morning. Do you, okay, boys, wake up. We've made your breakfast.
Starting point is 00:30:26 Yeah. You want to eat it? Eat it. You don't want to eat it? Don't eat it. But you still make it though. Yeah, of course. I mean, I'm still feeding my kids.
Starting point is 00:30:33 I'm still being the provider. I'm just not parenting it. And it's like, hey, whatever. Do you? Eat it, don't eat it. Sure. Eat everybody else's. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:41 It's like dogs. That's fine. I mean, don't throw food at each other, but just. No, don't be parenting. No lessons. Wait, so are they aware that it's no parenting or you just kind of do it? No, I'm just going to do it. I'm not going to tell them. Okay. No heads up. Okay, so you're not like, you're free because then they really go crazy. Right. That's a ham. Got it. As they say. So they eat and then they're like, all right, what do we do? Whatever you want to do, man.
Starting point is 00:31:06 Want to go outside? Do you all, what about church? Do they get a choice? Yeah, hey, we're going to church. You guys want to come? What if they go no? They'll come. No, what if they go now? Then you have to watch on TV. Sounds like parenting the video? No, I don't know. I want to put it on TV. You can watch what you want. It's like parenting. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:31:20 I just feel like this is like, I don't know. It seems like you have to be pretty loose with things because then what if the youngest one is like, I don't, I'm the one that doesn't want to go. Who watches while y'all all go to church? Guys, we haven't perfected this yet. It's just, it's in beta, as they say. I like that. It's the beta version, no parenting Sunday. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:37 Okay. So let's say we take church out of the equation. You come back in the afternoon. Sure. They're probably hungry. Okay. Do they make their own lunch? I made sandwiches.
Starting point is 00:31:46 You did. Okay, cool. And so where are they sitting? Right there on the table, right? They're there. I don't like ham. Well, you don't have to eat it. It's up to you, but I made ham sandwiches. They're right there if you want. And you just let it be. Yeah, man. Well, then what about between lunch and dinner when that's a big gap? You got to fill. I'm going to be watching golf or something. What? They're, oh, boom, out.
Starting point is 00:32:04 You guys deal with it. Just deal with it. Because usually what happens is like, oh, so-and-so hit me. Oh, so-and-so threw all my toys. You guys figure this out. Don't bring me your mom into it. We're chilling. So this is similar, but not the same, Amy, to when you would do like, I don't say no Sundays? Oh, yes day. Whatever that is. Yeah. That's ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:32:26 Because that's you letting them pick what they want to do. Yeah, but there was boundaries. Yeah, yeah, but I'm just saying they got to make decisions for the most part. Yeah, and it was really fun. Like, they got to, I really what it was, too, was I started saying yes to more things that normally I'd be like, oh, like, do I want to? to go canoe across the lake for two hours. My son no, but it was yes day. So I had to
Starting point is 00:32:52 also say yes to things that they wanted to do or that they found exciting. Similar but not the same. I feel like yours are a little more responsible Amy. Because you're there and you're parenting as you're doing stuff with him. Eddie is just letting the animals out and saying chilling. Hey horses, the gates open. Taking the day off. Go run.
Starting point is 00:33:08 And your wife's down for this. She's down. She wants to try it. Are we sure? Yeah. Are you sure? When will you do the first? No parenting Sunday? This week. Okay. I'm in there. It's going to be awesome. Keep us posted. I think it's going to stress you out more than if you were parenting. Well, I'm going to take, I think growing pains, you know, I want to see them do something.
Starting point is 00:33:25 I'm like, oh, I want to say something, but I'm not going to. So then we will check in early next week and see how no parenting Sunday win. Yeah. But then Monday comes around and you just whip back into it. We're back at it, guys. Monday comes around. It's like, I haven't seen my kids in a day. Where do they go?
Starting point is 00:33:36 Have you guys seen them? I feel like if it goes well, no parenting Monday, no parenting Tuesday. Maybe. No parenting week. Free. What do they call kids that? Free reigns. Free range chickens and kids.
Starting point is 00:33:48 Oh, wow, wow, wow. Just let them roam. Let them roam. It's the opposite of helicopter, which this is so crazy because Eddie's a helicopter. Well, but I'm exhausted of being helicopter. Helicopter going to run six days a week, apparently. It needs a day for maintenance.
Starting point is 00:33:59 Okay, no parenting Sunday. Eddie's going to try it this week. It feels like a terrible idea. Unless your kids are responsible enough to do something good with it. Are they? I don't know yet. We're going to find out. If you were in Vegas,
Starting point is 00:34:10 would the odds would be on. Ooh, the Vegas odds would probably be a plus. Yeah. Probably plus. That's 500. That they be smart. That they would be smart and can't have a great day. That means that they hate to not be smart and not have a good day.
Starting point is 00:34:24 I don't know the deal because Eddie was a foster parent and then they adopted. But like with my adoption agency, I have to submit reports every year. We do. So every year we have to like give an update on things. Oat pay is pay. And so yeah, I don't know if Eddie's like. The April work pay. Does child services still check in?
Starting point is 00:34:44 No, we don't do that. No, you're all good. You own them now, right? They're yours. Okay, good luck, Eddie. This is Crystal from Tennessee who left us a voicemail. I'm catching up on the podcast, and I have mentioned artists, and it's with you guys. And my husband says, shut up, because I mention you guys so much. But I let you know.
Starting point is 00:35:11 Have a good day. Thank you very much. We appreciate that. Don't ever shut up. Don't ever, ever shut up. And if you keep saying shut up, you let me know. Abuse. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:19 I'll file it. I'll stand up for her. Verbal abuse. That is. Yeah. Good. Let's go over and hear from Brian and Kentucky. I would like to insert myself into the next season of Easy Trivia because I am sick of listening to Eddie win season after season.
Starting point is 00:35:37 I would like to play for a reward if my challenge is accepted. I will reveal to you what that reward is when that comes time. So I would like to take him down. I was in until he's like, I want to play for a reward. I'm like, okay, cool. We give him a prize if he does win. if we put him on. And they're like,
Starting point is 00:35:53 but I will reveal it once it's over. This sounds like a kidnapper rancet. Yes, he can be like, well, I choose to kill the lunchbox. No, you can't do that.
Starting point is 00:36:02 Which, I mean, Eddie's not the only one that's one season. I think lunchbox and I have both won a season. Yeah, but it's like, domination. Hey,
Starting point is 00:36:08 but I'm just saying it's not season after season after season. It's like when Michael Jordan quit and then Hakeem and Lajuan won a title. Right. That only happened because Jordan wasn't there. Yep, yep. So it's so, it's so rare.
Starting point is 00:36:19 Eddie has to be like drunk or something when he comes in. And I'm sick of it too, guys. Like, really. Yeah, me too. I think we should find some new blood somehow to play this game because it is Eddie all the time. It is.
Starting point is 00:36:28 I give you a run. Sometimes. Not really. Nobody really gives him a run. Eddie's won, I think we played eight seasons. He's won like six of them. The goat. So I'm up to talking to Brian,
Starting point is 00:36:39 but he's got to let us know what his reward would be before we ever get him on. He can't let us know during. But I would be up for it. But there's also going to be a punishment for Brian if he doesn't win. There we go on talking a bunch of junk. Finally, here is a morning corny from someone last night. Hey, it's a morning
Starting point is 00:36:56 corny for Ms. Amy. What is the difference between a sharply dressed man riding a bicycle and a poorly dressed man riding a bicycle? A tire. A tire. A tire. I would just say, well-dressed. Who cares? I liked it. That's a good one.
Starting point is 00:37:15 The Babo show. Here's Amy's pile of stories. A vanity fair pole. that playing an instrument makes you more attractive, which... Yeah. Take a fold of the bat. A bunch of dudes playing a clarinet, just pulling checks.
Starting point is 00:37:29 Yeah. Man, tuba, that would just be so big. That would be so big, it's so hard to carry around. And then where do you play that? The band, that's it. The marching band. It's not like, if you're a tuba player, you got a long career after the school band.
Starting point is 00:37:43 Well, I have the sexiest instruments. It's got to be guitar. Like, yeah, this is what guys want to learn how to play to be more attractive. Let me see if I can guess. Okay. Guitar's got to be one. For sure.
Starting point is 00:37:53 I'll just give you that. Rock star. You think of the hot rock stars. Now, it's like other guitar-like instruments, like a bass guitar. Does that even make the list? Is that even on the list? Because that could also be a guitar. No, we're going totally different.
Starting point is 00:38:07 Okay. Saxophone is kind of cool. Because it's like blues. Lisa Simpson. That's right. She does play one. Yeah. That's number two. Yes.
Starting point is 00:38:17 I know what dudes are doing when they're hot. I like it. What about the drums? Yeah, I don't think it'd be a three though. Really? Like seven or something. Is drums on there? Five.
Starting point is 00:38:25 Okay. Well, it would be three. If guitar is one and saxophone is two, it ain't going to be trumpet. Violin. That's pretty cool. I don't know if anybody watches somebody playing the violin and goes, I've got to get some of that.
Starting point is 00:38:38 Like I go, I think piano's awesome. Piano's got to be three or four. Piano's three. Let's go. Let's go. I know what dudes are hot. Let's go. I need four.
Starting point is 00:38:48 and then we'll call it a day. Harmonica? Yeah, I know. Oh, I like harmonica, but that's probably not that hot. That's what you like. That's like your uncle. That's accordion.
Starting point is 00:38:57 Yeah, that's true. What are you forgetting here? Trumpet. Is it a... Ooh, trumpet. Yeah, but... Why is Lundtok's not weighing in? Zylophone.
Starting point is 00:39:07 Well, what instruments do you even know, lunchbox? That's to be the question. Well, like, when you see a guy playing an instrument? Yeah, what's hot? Oh, that's why. He doesn't want to say a guy's hot. That makes sense.
Starting point is 00:39:15 He's not even talking. Yeah. I don't know. When you see a guy playing what, that's when you're most attracted to him? I don't see guys as attractive. Okay. Let me take one more guess and then we'll find it out. What's an instrument we haven't mentioned that?
Starting point is 00:39:28 What's in a band? There's a bay. There's a keyboard. That's piano. There's a guitar. There's, I mean, it's got it. Okay, fine. It's the harp.
Starting point is 00:39:36 The big harp. No, it's the violin. Oh, it is. That would be, is that also kind of same thing as a fiddle. Yeah. Yeah. I remember in college. That's more than drums.
Starting point is 00:39:46 Well, yeah, I mean, listen, in college we would go watch a lot of Texas country and the fiddle players, they were always good looking. I'm amazed by fiddle players more than am drummers. Because you can play violin, like to me, I'm just not turning on by you. Yeah, I get that. You know, I need a dude to really be. Right, right, right. All right, what else you guys? Well, I probably like this next story because I love Tupac, but this was something really cool that was just released in his dokey series.
Starting point is 00:40:11 That's out. It's called Dear Mama. And one of his friends was saying that Tupac, was the worst crack dealer ever because he was too nice. He had too much empathy. He felt for people. Oh, he'd not having a good day. Have some extra crap.
Starting point is 00:40:25 Yeah. He said that capitalism requires that your empathy level is pretty low. And his was higher than most people. And he didn't want to contribute towards hurting his community. So if he saw a person that was, you know, smoke and crack and their daughter and son was nearby, it killed him. Like he's like, I can never recover from this. So I think he only. sold crack for like a few days.
Starting point is 00:40:48 Well, good for Tupac. Good job, man. Boy. Now I'm going to watch that dokey series. I don't even know it's out. I'm going to go check it out. It's called Dear Mama if anyone else is interested. Thomas Rett's wife was sort of put on blast by TR on
Starting point is 00:41:04 Instagram. He started quizzing her while he was filming and she kind of didn't really know much about his career and what he has going on. I watched this on TikTok. My wife showed it to me because it was me and my wife. I'm really good friends with Jake Owen and his fiance
Starting point is 00:41:20 and we're sitting there. And Jake and I always talk about how his fiance and my wife don't know anything. They don't care of anything with you. They do. They love us. But they don't know. Like she was like debating a song that he did. And he's like, no, it's this year.
Starting point is 00:41:32 And my wife doesn't know me. I mean, she didn't listen to the show. And so we're like, they don't care anything about. And so then my wife goes, hey, I just saw this. She sent me this TikTok going, see, it's not just us. And it's TR, like at a table and Lauren right behind them. him and this is him asking her about his albums.
Starting point is 00:41:47 Do you know the names of all five of my records? What was the first one called? You guys like this. What was the second one called? Unforgettable. No. No. What was the name of the album?
Starting point is 00:41:59 Can I have a hint? Do you know the names of any other albums? My wife would be like, okay, so who's on the show? Freddie. No, Eddie, he's here all the time. You see him every day. You see him every day. She's like, oh, yeah, I guess because, you know, they just, I don't.
Starting point is 00:42:14 I don't know. I don't know the reason. Like, I don't know why she wouldn't know. I don't know my wife doesn't really, I guess because we're in it all the time. Yeah, that's your work. It's all the time that she kind of just goes, well, this is 24-7, so I don't want to be, this is all I deal with anyway, so I don't want to deal with it when we're not on. We're not, yeah. I felt that to you are. All right. I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Damn it's something good. If you like golf, this is a story for you and you need a Save this, take it to whoever, that way you can play more golf. 64-year-old Kevin Capella of New York's playing golf, whew. Ha, sliced it right. Ah, bogey.
Starting point is 00:42:57 But then all of a sudden he starts, oh, man, I don't feel so good. My arms really hurt. I better go to the hospital. So he drives three and a half miles of the hospital. He was in the middle of a widow maker heart attack. Wow. He's one that kills a boom like that. What's the widow maker?
Starting point is 00:43:12 Is that a certain artery? He has a certain artery that pumps a lot of blood, and it was pretty much completely blocked. And he said if he would have been at home, I would have just lay down for a nap. But since I was playing golf, I was like, I might as well drive myself to the hospital. I like it. Yeah. Yeah. I hope if I play more golf, then that means I'll, the more I'm playing golf, the better odds are something that happens to me while I'm playing golf.
Starting point is 00:43:35 Sure. And I'll not be at, more golf. Yeah. And the doctor said, usually you should just call for help instead of driving yourself to the hospital. No. I probably play the next hole. He was already playing bad, though. Slice, bogey.
Starting point is 00:43:47 No, I really feel like the next hole though I'm going to start. And then I would go after that. Yeah, that stinks. But he lived? He lived. He's all good. He'll be back on the golf course soon. A widow maker heart attack happens when you have a blockage
Starting point is 00:43:57 in the biggest artery in your heart. That means your blood can't move through your left interior descending artery, which provides 50% of your heart muscles blood supply. Immediate treatment is crucial for a chance of survival. The only way to survive is to play golf. Well, I read that down the end. Yeah, it's pretty good. That is what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:44:12 That was Tell Me Something Good. Let's go over to Amy and get in the Morning Corny. The Morning Corny. What do you call it when a group of apes start a company? What do you call it when a group of apes start a company? Monkey business. Yeah. That was the Morning Corny.
Starting point is 00:44:36 Of course that's what you're calling. Jordan's on. Colorado, her dream is to be a voiceover actor, artist, somebody that does commercials, somebody that, I don't know, movies. And she said she gets scammed by a couple coaches, but that's been her dream. So I'm trying to help her get her dream. It's day three of this kind of. Jordan, good morning. How are you? Good morning. How do you feel about your latest work? Much better. I really like it. Okay, so we're going to do the same things we did yesterday. Let's hear the 7-Eleven commercial first with Jordan doing the voiceover. I gave her the advice.
Starting point is 00:45:11 I need a little more energy, a little lively. It just made me feel like I'm having a good time at 7-Eleven. You know, you're making me go to the slurping machine. All right, here we go. 22 seconds and action. You're thinking about cooking, but then you remember the fire you started last time you tried using the stove? Well, 7-Eleven has everything from delectable juicy burgers
Starting point is 00:45:33 to fresh crunchy tacos. 24-7, giving you what you want, when and where you want it. 7-11. Think of it as your own personal walk-in kitchen. It's really good. That's so good. It's so good. That can be a commercial on TV right now. TV radio. That's so good. And she wrote that. That's so good, Jordan. I'm not just saying it. You have a very
Starting point is 00:45:54 relatable voice with good energy. You sound like you're smiling. That's always what they say. Sound like you're smiling. Because people can hear. Smile when you talk to because people can hear it. People say that. That's so good. I'm going to be honest. That's so good. So I'm kind of like proud of my student right now. Good, that's good. Okay. Now there's a different one here, and this one's a little longer.
Starting point is 00:46:13 I don't know that we'll play all of it. We might, but it's 60 seconds. It is a trailer for the movie Big Fish, which she tried yesterday, but she, probably because Eddie had put it into her head. She tried to do the big movie. That's my bad. That's my fault. Yeah. It really wasn't that. That was needed. So let's hear her do Big Fish, the trailer for the movie. Edward Bloom is known to many for his big appetite for adventure and tall tales that. leave any audience in awe. It was one thing you can say about that Broom. Well, that I was intended for larger things.
Starting point is 00:46:48 But as his last year's of wife approach, he remains a huge mystery to his son will. That I have no idea who you are. Let me say this. This is what I think. I think this is just a bad movie for her to do. Yeah. I wouldn't hire her to do like a serious, I don't even know what big fish is. Is it serious?
Starting point is 00:47:03 Yeah, it's, I mean, it's, yeah, it's a serious movie, but it's really good. Like, I would have her do something like. a runaway bride. That could work. A little more character. Do you want a strong female voice? I don't even know what Big Fish is. And I was not much.
Starting point is 00:47:16 But I already thought that her normal voice for Big Fish is way better than the deeper. I just think she's, you know, it's asking a three foot tall person to dunk. Sure. That's not their thing. But you want to be a jockey? Absolutely, they can be one of the greatest jockeys ever. So I think that that movie is just not right for her. But that being said, the 7-11 commercial is great.
Starting point is 00:47:34 I think we're ready to go to the big time. Come on. I think we're ready to go out major leagues. That's major leagues. It's time to get her paid. Okay. I was thinking cartoons, movies. Oh, hey, could you do?
Starting point is 00:47:45 Jordan, if I were to say be a skunk, a friendly skunk who is walking through the woods looking for an acorn and he's been looking for an acorn. Okay, can you do that? Can you try for me? All right. A skunk looking for an acorn. Yeah, you're a skunk and you're looking for an acorn and all day long you've been looking for an acorn. And it's been like eight hours. You still haven't found one single acorn.
Starting point is 00:48:06 Okay, ready and action. Oh, gee, golly. where could these unicorns be? Oh, let's go look over here. Okay, I like it. Yeah, that's great. She's definitely had a good job, good job.
Starting point is 00:48:17 Okay, so Mike D has a whole email account full of businesses that want a free commercial, and so we're going to go through them. We're going to find, oh, man. Holy cow. A lot of emails. So, okay, Jordan says what we're going to do. We're going to get you the commercial to do,
Starting point is 00:48:33 and then tomorrow we'll air it. Let's go. Maybe it's come true. Let's do it. Let's do it. I scammer. Okay, Jordan, great job. I'm proud of you.
Starting point is 00:48:43 You sound great. We're going to get some information and we're going to send you over this 30-second commercial, okay? Awesome. Thank you. Lunchbox, anything you want to say. You guys are amazing at making people. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:48:56 Yeah. Good for us. You guys are amazing at letting mediocre people think they're great. Like, you get Abby to think she's great at singing. No, we never tell Abby she's great at singing. You tell Abby to make a run. that she can go sing places and it's like that's true she can't go sing places she has
Starting point is 00:49:12 same places yes but she's not good and you're telling this girl oh quit your job do this we never said quit your job hilarious there's no quit your job she did nothing to earn it she just emailed and you're just giving her money for nothing no she has a pretty good voice play that 711 again
Starting point is 00:49:28 Ray you're thinking about cooking but then you remember the fire you started last time you tried using the stove well 711 come on there Yeah. Sounds great. I mean,
Starting point is 00:49:39 Lungemucks, the whole thing she did. You understand, scuba put those sound effects in, right? It's not the sound effects. You tell me that the stove turning on
Starting point is 00:49:46 does not help that commercial? I don't know if it helps or not, but her voice is great. If you didn't hear that, you just be like, oh, okay, cool. Boring. Why don't you write one and read it?
Starting point is 00:49:56 Oh, boy. About what? What do you want me to write about? Exactly. He didn't just say yes to anything. He needs to be bottle fed. Okay. Jordan.
Starting point is 00:50:03 Did you write the commercial, Jordan? Yeah. Yeah, but we didn't even tell her. Did you put those sound effects in, Jordan? She doesn't produce it. She wouldn't produce their own. As a voice over it, she don't produce your own commercials. Well, if she was sending it off to a company to get a job, she would have to.
Starting point is 00:50:16 No, not true. She would voice it over. She would pay someone to do it. Jordan, we're going to get you this, and we'll talk to you probably soon or tomorrow, okay? Okay, sound box. All right, thank you. Bye-bye. There she is.
Starting point is 00:50:26 Making dreams come true for everybody but lunchbox apparently who has a greatest job in the whole world. And I made my own breaks. That's what I'm saying. I earn this. You don't even edit your own audio clips. Yeah, he doesn't. He just brings in a bunch of crap and goes, somebody do this for me.
Starting point is 00:50:39 Yeah, and she earned it by, she, she reached out. You know how long I edited my own audio clips for me? For probably about 15 years, I edited my own audio clips. She got her shot. Yeah, so now I earned it where someone edits for me. Thank you. Appreciate it. Thank you, everybody, for listening to this show.
Starting point is 00:50:56 Mm-hmm. I mean, you don't edit your audio clips. Huh? I don't have audio clips. Which ones? I mean, thank you. Exactly. A win is a win.
Starting point is 00:51:07 A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th. Starting point is 00:52:11 There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific
Starting point is 00:52:39 artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves.
Starting point is 00:52:57 Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. What's up, everyone? I'm Ego Wadam. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night live and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell.
Starting point is 00:53:20 Woo. Woo. Woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day. And I was like, and dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. and he's like just give it a shot he goes but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore it's okay to quit if you saw it written down it would not be an inspiration it would not be on a calendar of you know the cat just hang in there yeah it would
Starting point is 00:54:06 not be right it wouldn't be that there's a lot of luck yeah listen to thanks dad on the iHeart radio app Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcast. I don't know how to feel about this. Maybe I'm becoming a little too loose on just letting people, you know, come in the studio. But I got this voicemail last night from Kellan and her pug Macs. Just listen to it and let me know if it freaked you out at all. Go ahead. Hey, Bobby Boone and friends.
Starting point is 00:54:33 We wanted to bring you a gift. So we decided to get in our car from Houston, Georgia, and take a road trip to hopefully come to you today. I hope I'm going to the right place. Huh. Okay. A little generic with the word gift. Because law of averages. Eventually, somebody's going to come over and try to kill us. Right.
Starting point is 00:54:53 How far is that drive? I don't know. Well, I mean, it seems like a long way. Real place. Some people mail gifts, so this. Some people at least tell us what the gift is. Right, right. Bringing it.
Starting point is 00:55:02 Scooby, this was left last night? This was early this morning, like around 4 a.m. I saw it. 4 a.m. She's on the road right now. She could be here by now. Oh, boy. I don't know how I feel about that. Do you want to call?
Starting point is 00:55:15 I can call her off air and see what's up. Yeah, ask her what the gift is. And if it involves something being stabbed into my body when I walk outside. Well, she may not even be going to the right place. That's true. And maybe I won't give her the right address. She's bringing a dog, though. That's pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:55:30 That is cool. Although I didn't hear the pug. Okay. You guys can leave us a voicemail at any point 877.77, Bobby. Same number you can call now, by the way. There's a fake doctor who treated thousands, including cancer patients. Oh. These fake doctors that keep it going for so long are wild, especially from a real doctor like myself.
Starting point is 00:55:49 Right, right. Well, an honorary doctor. A studio cityman faces multiple felony charges after he allegedly impersonated a doctor and practiced medicine on thousands of individuals. Do you think he's going to Google and YouTube to find out his diagnosis? Well, I mean, I'm definitely curious about the cancer patients and if he was able to help them. Maybe he's so experienced. No, we can't even think that because I'm sure.
Starting point is 00:56:10 if that's the case, it's killing. So, this is from WFLA. I'll read back from the story instead of me just speculating. His name is Stephen Gavorkian. Like Dr. Kovorkian? Not the same, but it sounds so much like Dr. Kovorkian.
Starting point is 00:56:25 And what do he do? Kovorkian was the person when people were really sick and they wanted to, in their life, he would help them assisted. Got it. In Asia. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:33 Stephen Gavorkian, 44, has been charged with five counts of practicing medicine without a license, an undercover investigator, visiting his practice, in November, received a consultation where he allegedly fell to accurately address abnormal levels of a hormone that could indicate a serious medical condition. And I guess that's what led to them diagnosing it.
Starting point is 00:56:51 It doesn't list the cancer patients. But if that guy can do thousands, he's probably getting good referrals. That's true. Like people might be like, Dr. Vorkin was awesome. You should go. Because a lot of people went. Wow. Maybe if he just, hear me out.
Starting point is 00:57:04 Hear me out, board of regulators. What if he went against the system, saved lots of people's lives. he got hurt, is he then awarded a doctor ship. For an honorary doctor ship for good work. Can he still practice though? No, you got to shut that crap down. Like, you get it a reward. I'm going to put you in jail.
Starting point is 00:57:27 You get a reward, but no more, but you did save a bunch people's lives. And if you could teach some of these folks what you did and how you did it, that would be, it's like, you ever seen the movie with Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks, where they, what's it called? Catch me if you came. Yeah, where now that dude DiCaprio, the character he plays, is what he was, assisting people to catch people like him. Yeah, like hackers.
Starting point is 00:57:48 They do that too. Maybe this guy is finding other fake doctors behind a Waffle House. There's apparently everybody putting butt implants in somebody. I don't know. Or a Lakeita, there's a dentist that's not even a real dentist. Man, what a racket that is, huh? Just fake it? Yeah, I mean, I just don't even know.
Starting point is 00:58:03 I mean, you must have either, like you said, you're Googling everything or YouTubeing it. Freestyleing. Maybe you got some schooling in it. And it's stillin, baby. Everything. I was like, how would you even know what to do? A Lyme disease vaccine could come as soon as 2025. Wow. I think this is great news.
Starting point is 00:58:20 I know a couple people that have, that have Lyme disease, and it has hit them both so differently. One so hard. The other, not as hard, but there are just random things that happened. Like, to me, I don't know a lot about Lyme disease, except from what I know through the people I know. it is it's debilitating makes you so sick or it messes with your brain i mean everything and so it's a tick it's a god dang tick right i mean all the woods i was in as a kid all the ticks i had on me
Starting point is 00:58:54 seed ticks dog ticks deer ticks you know deer ticks are interesting because i always affiliated them with like the seed tick brand i don't know i've just seen it on a list yeah i don't know really we never said anything was a deer tick. We had normal ticks. Then seed ticks. You pull your sock down and you're like, oh, no, I got into it. And they were impossible to get off. So a Lyme disease vaccine could be available soon. Earlier this month,
Starting point is 00:59:19 Moderna announced two new development candidates for vaccines against Lyme disease. Remember Shania? Yeah. Maybe she still has. I don't know how that works. Yeah, I'm not sure. But she lost her whole voice because of it. It can affect people so differently. And what's crazy
Starting point is 00:59:34 is it can be so perplexing. Like, some friends that I know they've had it, they went to the doctor and they couldn't, they didn't know what it was. And it's almost like they didn't believe some of their symptoms or what they were saying and they didn't know how to diagnose it. And they just, you know, are left to try to figure it out. And all along, it's Lyme disease. Yes, because they're so different. Yes. If left untreated, symptoms can include facial palsy, heart palpitations, irregular heartbeat, nerve pain, inflammation of the brain and spinal cord. It's from the New York Post.
Starting point is 01:00:02 We don't know anything officially about Lyme disease. So as we're saying this, just know, we just know. people to have it and we're just making out, well, we think based on that. So don't hit me with, hey, Bobby, you're a doctor, you should know better. This is not my specialty. I went to, and I mentioned this on my podcast, 25 whistles, the sports show that we do, I went to a workout place where they shock you. You ever seen one of these?
Starting point is 01:00:23 Well, no, shock you how? Well, you go in, you put on this skin tight suit, they squirt you down with water and they put out this electric suit on you. Stop. That's what a guy. And then they just shock you. And your muscles, it stimulates your muscles. that stimulates your muscles so much.
Starting point is 01:00:37 And my wife's like, go check this out. I'm not kidding here. And I don't have any sort of endorsement deal with anything like this. I've never done it before. We just did it on a random Saturday. And I thought, well, this is some bull crap. Except I'm so sore in like the muscles that should be sore. It's like I haven't worked out in five years and then just went to the gym for the first time.
Starting point is 01:00:56 So my biceps, my quads, this thing might work. So how long are you shocked? Well, I think the whole workout was 12 to 15 minutes. Okay. So when you say workout, you're actually moving your body? A little bit, not much, but I have like balls and little weights and you can do like planks and stuff. Okay. And you're like, oh my.
Starting point is 01:01:18 And they test to see how hard you can take it. And Kaelin has great pain tolerance. Like nothing hurts her. And so I'm trying to just be even with her. And she's doing it. She's like, yeah, that's fine with me. And I'm like, oh, God. Oh, God.
Starting point is 01:01:30 What would you compare it to? Like, did you ever do? So sore. Dog Shocker trivia? Oh, it's worse than that. But it's like... It's worse than that? Yeah, it's not as...
Starting point is 01:01:38 Dog shocker, yes, of course I did it. I mean, come on. I'm like a police officer. Yeah, but you're the one that pushed the funny. Well, hold on, where police officers have to get sprayed in the face with the pepper spray if they're going to spray the pepper spray. Okay. So I bought the dog shock collar and then put it on you guys.
Starting point is 01:01:50 Right. But yes, I've played. That is, that shocks you, but we had on our neck. And it's like a thin shock. But this is like a nail that's thicker and it's right on your big muscles. And it scares you more than it hurts you, but still it's like, anyway, I'm just going to say, I'm so sore. I think it might work.
Starting point is 01:02:08 So can I wear that and just watch football all day? You can't because it's connected to a box. Okay. And it's FDA approved. Oh, well, okay. Not that I believe the FDA for everything, but I'm just saying at least somebody's looked at it before. It's wild.
Starting point is 01:02:21 If this thing works, I ain't never working out for an hour again. Okay, so that's the benefit is you do it 12 minutes, but it gives you a workout as if you worked out for an hour? I think so. I'm sure. I just kind of did it because she wanted to do it. It says it's full body workout takes only 15 minutes. The workout produces results are equivalent to those seen after six to eight hours working out in a standard gym.
Starting point is 01:02:42 Eight hours of working out. Hey, look how jacked out. Say, what? Actually, I'm just so sore. I mean, I can't. And it's not a hurt-injured sore. If you get punched in the shoulder, that's sore. If you get a needle in the arm for a shot, that's a different kind of sore.
Starting point is 01:02:54 This is like workout sore. That's crazy. So if I can't fit to the door because my shoulder's so big, you know, I've been doing some extra shocking, you know what I mean? So you're going to go back? Yeah, I think so. Too sore today, though. Maybe this weekend again. I don't know. It might work. Although I was screaming like a little baby. I thought I peed a little bit too once. I was doing my abs. Okay, here's what we're going to do because we have a lot to do.
Starting point is 01:03:14 We're going to get into the news in a few minutes. Oh, man. She's up front right now. Oh, she's here. Oh, she's here with the gift. Yeah, she's here. She's telling me what the gift was. It seems innocent, but she is here. And yes, she's here. what are you going to do it just feels
Starting point is 01:03:34 ominous what does that what does that word mean like ominous music scary music but then I also like the point of if it's like you open the door and then everyone's gonna want to do this and then it just becomes a thing that is true too
Starting point is 01:03:45 so then it's nothing again can we send can we send Tim out there yeah he can go investigate yeah but what if our security guy gets like stabbed what's so much I've thought that there's no way he's going to get hurt well well nothing he's not going to know he's not
Starting point is 01:03:58 but I've... Okay, well, let's deal with it and we'll come back. You don't want to send lunchbox? I don't, because I don't... This is serious. Yeah. Yeah. I know.
Starting point is 01:04:07 We will... Hold on, hold on. Time to get over and get the news. Bobby's big. Stories. Experts say a new breed of car thieves are spreading across the country. They're now using devices that look like Bluetooth speakers or mobile phones to interface with the vehicle's control system. They're able to steal your car without needing the key sometimes in just 15 seconds or so.
Starting point is 01:04:32 So they say if you see someone circling your car, call the cops. The crooks are able to buy the devices online for a few thousand dollars. That's from Canis Labs, a cybersecurity firm. I hear you, anybody that I've ever talked to or have known that's either stolen a car or been in law enforcement either. I can't imagine them spending $30,000 as a sound investment to go steal cars. You kind of just do it because you're just going to steal cars. You're not really making an investment. Business plan?
Starting point is 01:04:58 It's like, oh, guys. It's more sophisticated? Lay out the deck here. All right. So we're going to spend this to get this. And here's the... But I hear you. I guess if you have a massive operation.
Starting point is 01:05:08 And where do you get this? Mike, do you just get on the dark web, probably? You can't let you get it from eBay or anything, right? Yeah, with everything you have computers, I'm sure. But if they're not connected to things, how do you hack it? You know, they'll be like, airplanes. What if somebody hacks it and then sends it down? But if it's not like on a system, if there's not a road to the house, how do you
Starting point is 01:05:28 get the car to the house. I guess it's no point. Yeah. Now, obviously they're talking to people to the radio, okay, alright, we got a bar, bing, bra, borg, but, but if it's not connected, like, my car is not connected to anything, it has a computer in it, but it's just within itself. Maybe it's like whatever the fob sends to the car. Sure, but you got to be close, and that's the airplane thing
Starting point is 01:05:44 for me. What are you going to do? Have them trampoline you up next to it? Buk, then hack it. That's going to be hard. That makes me feel better about that. Don't listen to me, though. I don't know what I'm talking about. I'm sure someone could absolutely knock this down. Thanks, bones? No, no, no. We're still not safe. Okay.
Starting point is 01:05:58 Beetle Juice 2 is officially confirmed by Warner Brothers. After months of rumors, Warner Brothers has confirmed the release of the sequel to Beetlejuice, which, by the way, when I was a kid, that movie was the jam. Daylight come and we want to go home. So Michael Keaton was Beetlejuice. He came out from under the bed, right? Yeah. And you say it three times.
Starting point is 01:06:17 You show that. Showtime. Alec Baldwin was in it. Yeah. Dang. That was the movie. The problem is that now we're all old. And the people that would actually watch it and care about it,
Starting point is 01:06:27 Won't care about it for the sake of being Beetle Juice, too. It's almost like they should just remake Beetle Juice. Yeah, good point. So, but Gina Davis was in it. That movie was awesome. Wine Under Rider. And even the kid in it was the Wonder Years' kids, Fred Savage's little brother, right? Wasn't it Ben Savage?
Starting point is 01:06:44 Who was in that movie? I don't know about that. Who was it, Mike? That wasn't it? Which one was he in? He was in a movie, too, that was kind of like that. Boy Meets World Guy? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:06:53 Forget I said it. Forget the airplane thing, too, guys. I'm leading you guys down at Goosechase, so you don't want to be down. Okay, moving on. Mike, let me know when you see what the, oh, little monsters. You guys remember little monsters? No. Where the guy would kind of look like the beetle juice and he was a little monster. Maybe he came out from under the bed. Biddle juice came from nowhere. I'm getting those two mixed up. Oh, man. No, little monsters was a jam too. Oh, that's monsters, yeah, see, now we're all over the place. Do you want to get your kids to eat their vegetables?
Starting point is 01:07:18 Yes. Well, thank you for answering. Eat your own first. I do. Okay, 53% of parents with young kids have noticed their kids eating unwanted vegetables just to mimic. You know, them. Okay. So if you eat years of your kids go with dad's cool, I'm going to eat mine. You know, it's funny. It's my little one eats salad. Yeah, same. Like, he loves salad. Because? Maybe because we eat salad. A recent survey of 2,000 parents to children
Starting point is 01:07:39 ages 6 and younger found that 53% have noticed their kids eating unwanted vegetables, especially just to mimic them. The mimicking, these kids got to be really little. My kids don't want to mimic anything I do. You're 16-year-old daughter doesn't mimic it. Nope. That's from SWNS Digital.
Starting point is 01:07:56 Forget traditional gold bands. smart wedding rings allow you to fill your partner's heartbeat in real time. I'm good. That's too much. Yeah, it's too much. And it's also annoying. Like, why does this thing I'm always beating? And it's messing with your rhythm.
Starting point is 01:08:08 But I think because if she has a ring and you have a ring or whatever, like you and Caitlin, if that's what y'all had, it's synced up to where they talk to each other. And you really are feeling her heartbeat from her ring. I don't need to feel her heartbeat. Right? Like, what if she's working out and you're not? Like, I don't want to feel that. That's funny.
Starting point is 01:08:26 The $500 HB ring lets you fill your partner's heartbeat in real time Just by tapping it twice as long as your partner's phones connect to the internet Your ring will pulse in the same pattern as your partner's heart Also prove it It's like when they do Like on Instagram where it's like sound on it shows like a wave file going over there That's not legit, that's just a graphic That's not really the way
Starting point is 01:08:46 And I'm like that's not so the heartbeat could do the same thing It also flashes a red line around the edge to animate the heartbeat like a hospital Electrocardiogram I feel like this is a waste of money I feel like you'll get it and think it's fun and then you won't charge it. Or you'll lose the cable. And that's it.
Starting point is 01:09:00 Because everything's got a different cable now. I got like five things I got to charge. Oh, I have different cables. Think about this. What if you could detect if your partner is having a heart attack? What if we just have Apple make all the cables for everything. So it was universal. I like that.
Starting point is 01:09:13 Yeah. A lot of what if's here. That's from the Daily Mail. Thank you. This ring. I have the aura ring. I don't know what show I talked about this on, but was it? Yeah, on this one yesterday?
Starting point is 01:09:22 Yeah. So I just did monitor my sleep. I told my finger getting swollen enough. I told Caitlin that yesterday when I get home from work. She was like, yeah, I just lift your hands above your head. And I was like, oh. I mean, I was going to town. Diswashing soap my finger.
Starting point is 01:09:35 It was all blown up. I'm trying to. And she was like, literally all you have to do is put your hand above your head and the blood goes down. So when you sleep, obviously. So that's why we, like, because she had a really bad accident years ago. She goes, well, that's why you hold it up. And the doctor says you sprained your ankle, you hold it up. So the swelling goes down.
Starting point is 01:09:51 The blood. Almost cut it off. Oh, wow. When all I had to do is put it above my head. Do you hate the way that your voice sounds when you hear it played back to you? Yes. There's a scientific reason for that. When you talk, energy bounces around in your mouth, throat, and through your head directly to the inner portion of your ears.
Starting point is 01:10:08 So that's what you're hearing. Other people, well, they don't hear it like you do because they're not hearing it from inside your head. So you hear your voice differently than they do when you use it. But when you hear it back, you hear it like everybody else hears it. Weird. When you hear your voice in a recording, you sound brighter or higher than what you're used to, which you could find irritate. That's from the Healthy magazine. Yeah, I hate my voice.
Starting point is 01:10:29 I hate my voice. I hate how I talk. I hate what I say. I hate everything about it. And that's your job. Yeah, I hate it, yeah. Stop using your phone on the toilet. Now, this is something, before I went on the air, I went, ooh, because I read this story last night.
Starting point is 01:10:42 I never thought about this because I live with my phone on the toilet. Why shouldn't you eat your phone on the toilet? Dirty. Well, no, because the air goes up, the poop air, gets on your phone. Yeah. And then if you're eating with your phone, you're basically eating with a poop phone. There you go. Oh, is it if you flush or just...
Starting point is 01:11:00 Yeah, that's why they say close the lid or maybe just in general. That's why they say definitely close it if your toothbrush is anywhere nearby. A 2019 survey found that most people use their phones on the toilet. I bet it's even more now. So here's what's up. We give our phones to, if you have kids, to kids and they have germs there. We also eat with our phones. We also use the bathroom with our phones.
Starting point is 01:11:21 And if you're in the bathroom with the phone. And you're in that bathroom where all that airs, you know. it gets on your phone. And then if you give it to a kid, that's on the phone. Then you eat with it, you get all the germs. That's from study finds.org. John Leguizamo explains why he carries around $100 bills. I feel like John Leguizamo's probably really rich
Starting point is 01:11:38 and a little bit removed from real life by this. And I like it. It sounds like he's a generous guy. But he talks about why he only carries around $100 bills. Everybody know who he is, by the way? Yeah. You know, I had to look him up. I knew his name, but when I saw him, I recognized him.
Starting point is 01:11:51 Yeah, he's in a lot of movies. So he said, I got a tip, folks. to say it's the 70s, you can't tip of $20 bills, people are going to throw that back at you. You got to give back if people are giving you good service, hand him $100 bill. So it walks around with hundreds. That's cool.
Starting point is 01:12:04 I mean, I want to do that. Yes, but I don't think people are going to throw it back if it's a 20. It's not the 70s. That wouldn't even happen in the 70s. So I think he's been rich for a long time, but I do like his generosity. Finally, there's a story about a woman getting an epidural,
Starting point is 01:12:18 epidural, epidural, epidural, epitore. Yeah, my dog had to have one of those. That's why there's a patch of his back hair Completely cut out When he tore his ACLs They had to give him one So this guy's refusing to help pay for his wife's $8,000 hospital bill
Starting point is 01:12:32 Because she caved And got an epidural So there's a mom She's upset She's like Should I kind of end this relationship Because of this? So she got an epidural
Starting point is 01:12:43 Last minute She didn't think she needed one or wanted one They weren't going to get it But because the bill went way up because she took it last minute. And so he's like, this has to come out of your personal savings. What? Because you're the one that wanted it.
Starting point is 01:12:58 We talked about it. We decided we weren't going to do it. And I don't think he was like, you can't have one way early. I think they had just decided based on price. Or they had to declare they wanted it so insurance would take care of it pre? Right. So here's the thing. He sounds like a real loser.
Starting point is 01:13:13 I agree with that. And it sucks because she just had a baby with him. But what if that was the agreement, though? But I don't. But that's fine. But what if it hurts so bad? You can't really make it. an agreement if you don't really know what you're agreeing to? I get that. I get that. Yeah, and he has
Starting point is 01:13:24 no idea the pain she was experiencing to where she's like, okay, okay, okay, I really need to numb it from here on now. Let's go. I think you'd just be like, okay, I get it. Let's go have these. You'd think, but he's upset because that was $8,000. He's a loser. He's a loser. All right, that's the news. All right, that's the news. Bodies. Hey, just an update on the person that was outside. And Ray, can you play that voicemail again from the listener that we got. Scoobes said it came at like 4 o'clock this morning. Hey, Bobby Bones and friends. We wanted to bring you a gift, so we decided to get in our car from Houston, Georgia,
Starting point is 01:14:01 and take a road trip to hopefully come to you today. I hope I'm going to the right place. So this person showed up. We sent Tim, our head of security out there. Turns out it was just somebody wanted to promote their book. I mean, this is creative. No, we can't have people doing that. Okay.
Starting point is 01:14:17 It's not creative to show. I know. People do all. I mean, you have to mail it. And so they were like, we have gifts. There was no gift. Because I think I'd have probably been like, oh, she has tutsy rolls. Okay, come on in.
Starting point is 01:14:26 There was no gift. It was just a book. Like, I wrote this book. And will you please talk about it? So that's what it was. Nobody got injured. Nobody got hurt. What are you looking at?
Starting point is 01:14:33 That's a four hour and 45 minute drive. Yeah, you just mail it. That's crazy. Yeah. So it's just not safe, you know? So that's what's up. Thank you to everybody who called and had safety concerns, which was nobody, not a single listener. Care to call and be like, be careful.
Starting point is 01:14:50 They all were like, let her in because we want to see how this thing unfolds. Thanks, guys. But that's what happened. Live stream it. It was just somebody promoting a book. But thank you very much. A win is a win. A win is a win.

Starting point is 01:16:22 I'm Anna Sinfield. in this new season of The Girlfriends. Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands.
Starting point is 01:16:41 I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the Girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you. you get your podcast. I'm Ego Wadam. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers, Anchorman, Saturday Night Live,
Starting point is 01:17:09 and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up-and-coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot.
Starting point is 01:17:39 He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat, just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot in luck. Listen to Thanks Dad on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I'm nervous about this segment just because I guess of when we're doing it.
Starting point is 01:18:15 I don't think I'd ever feel good about it, but we got our money together and lunchbox and I bought a storage unit and not an empty one. One where somebody had not paid their bill, so then they auctioned it off. And they just show you a picture from outside of, but they don't tell you exactly. what's in it. And so we made a deal. I'd pay for 75% of it. He'd pay for 25% and then he would do the selling.
Starting point is 01:18:37 Now that was this old story by itself. And we made a lot of money. We made a decent amount of money, but we lost a lot of money too. It's just mishaps along the way. But we would never talk about what else was in it. So.
Starting point is 01:18:48 Hey, can you blur us? No, no. They blur us for just this part. Yeah. So I'll let you decide what you want to share. So in the storage unit, there are a lot of shoes. A lot of shoes.
Starting point is 01:19:00 There were also some clothes. Yeah, some clothes. What happened to those? I donated them. I mean, what are you going to do with them? Oh, no. Sell them. It's all good.
Starting point is 01:19:08 Yeah. I mean, there was one with a jacket that I was like, oh, this will definitely give us away. Like it had like a... But don't say what it had on? Yeah, no. What? Yeah. Don't say then now.
Starting point is 01:19:17 It's about to give you up. What else? Generically speaking. Let's just say that my wife and I went and she was so excited because we used to watch storage where. So she went with me to empty the locker and we're so excited, so excited. And we start going through the box. And she immediately goes, I don't like to see more.
Starting point is 01:19:35 I don't like to see more. And backed away. And there were two different types of boxes of bullets. One had eight missing. One had seven missing. And I'm like, where'd they go? Like, well, what were they used for? And then there was a silencer.
Starting point is 01:20:00 that's always not good no this is not exactly this is why we didn't share oh that's what I thought immediately a solved case well why do you think I was scared out of my mind we sold shoes
Starting point is 01:20:15 which one from us yeah with a laser and then missing bullets and and you know and there was burner phones
Starting point is 01:20:25 burner phones burner phones burner phones oh what if they oh yeah work for Amy, you got it. You know, like a, I don't know, even America.
Starting point is 01:20:34 Let's go to the CIA or something. No, no, no. That's not LA and CIA. He's any good guys. In a storage unit. Yeah, it was definitely two burner phones, and it had a charger, and I thought about plugging it in. But then I got too scared. Yeah, I do it.
Starting point is 01:20:46 I got too scared. Where are the phones now? I don't know where the stuff is. I never even wanted to. Where are the phones? I still believe I have the phones. Oh, my gosh. You still believe you have them?
Starting point is 01:20:55 I'm just, I mean, maybe. We can really prank some people with those. Unknown numbers? What if you plug it in and then it rings? Oh my gosh Oh my gosh Here's my thing Is if they didn't pay the bill for their storage locker
Starting point is 01:21:07 They didn't pay the bill for the phone Or maybe they didn't pay it And they're flip phones But it's burner phone So maybe it's a prepaid plan Oh boy Where you don't have to pay it as it goes Because it's how they wouldn't track
Starting point is 01:21:20 And so you just have a certain amount of minutes And I still got minutes on it And I just hit last call You call 900 numbers all day long baby Oh man Yeah so I still feel weird about the missing bullets Thinking that it didn't get paid because he's... Dead?
Starting point is 01:21:34 Yeah. Oh, yeah. My wife and I had that conversation in the storage that were like, either person's dead or in prison. Or on the run. Yeah, one of the three. And that's when we decided we didn't like it anymore. Or she did. I was still in.
Starting point is 01:21:48 So where's it the silencer? They're gone. They're gone. The river? I didn't go in the river. But it's not with you. But it's not with you. No, it's not with me.
Starting point is 01:21:59 You don't have it. You don't own it anymore. No. He threw it in a dumpster. Hey, I wanted to do it. Same reason is he doesn't want it now. I thought about selling it and then I was like, that's a bad idea. Horrible idea.
Starting point is 01:22:10 Bullets, a silencer with a laser. Wow. Burner phones, charger. Close shoes. I've always wanted to try silencer. No. No. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:21 Like in the movies. Anything else we want to share? Are we good there? No, I think that's it, guys. Nothing else? No, no. If there is anything else, we don't feel. what we need to say.
Starting point is 01:22:32 I'm just going to say that. So that's all we're going to share it. And then we're not going to mention this anymore. It's not going to be a running joke. We're going to keep silent. We're going to put those silences on our mouth after this. And if there is anything, we will not share it. What else?
Starting point is 01:22:45 But that's the deal. There was another story, and this is kind of what motivated lunchbox is going to go, I just see the story, and we should share. So this dude did the same thing we did when he bought a storage unit, and he paid $250 for it. And so he goes, and he's going through it. It's in Jopla, Missouri. and there was a whole chest, and he opens up as kid pictures.
Starting point is 01:23:06 Oh, gosh. And not like school pictures, like bad stuff. Oh, my goodness. Yep. So they were able to trace it back to this dude. They know who it is. It definitely was what you think it was. And they investigated a detective said, yep, that's who leased the unit.
Starting point is 01:23:24 And so now they got him. That's so terrible. We didn't find that. That's good. We found a step down, but that step down still is pretty dangerous and scary to us. Maybe y'all should get out of this business. I don't know. We made some good money, though, bro.
Starting point is 01:23:38 Yeah, we made some good money. We're starting to look at other units. I don't know. Maybe look. You haven't learned your lesson. I probably stared at a couple things. I mean, if it popped up on the internet right in front of me and I saw the prices, I wouldn't turn away. Yeah, I would look.
Starting point is 01:23:52 Sounds stressful. I think we learned a lot from that first. Oh, May. We'll call it a JV between lunchwalks. What did you learn? Well, this joint venture that we have been in together, I just got to get it in writing from him what he's going to do. No, no.
Starting point is 01:24:07 And I learned the mishaps of eBay. Like I learned, it's a trial and error thing. When you open a business, you're going to have pitfalls, but you're going to have mistakes. And you don't know those mistakes until you actually open for business. And that's what happened. And you got to learn to pivot and adjust. And that's what we did. Sure.
Starting point is 01:24:22 We didn't make some money, but I felt like we lost money in a really dumb way. But now he will never make that mistake. It wasn't like we were trying to figure it out. We just didn't do it right even though it was laid in front of us how to mail things. That's okay. We made $350 each. We made about $120 each or something like that. No.
Starting point is 01:24:41 After how much I paid into it. Oh, yeah. No, you made about $200. Cash. It wasn't cash. I got it been Vimmo. I wasn't cash. I was going to bring it cash, but you told me Vimmo.
Starting point is 01:24:50 Yeah. Okay. Thank you. We're done with this segment. Don't tell anybody. Yeah, please keep it quiet. Okay, we won't. Don't play it on the podcast too loud.
Starting point is 01:24:58 When you're listening to it, keep it down at a low level. We'll come right back. Okay, let's play What Year Was It? Like a... What year, what year, what year, what year, what year, what year was it? What year, what year, what year, what year, what year, what year, what year, what year? What year did it happen?
Starting point is 01:25:15 The Number One Country Song is Faith Hill, the way you love me. The number one pop song is Savage Garden. I knew I loved you. Yeah, I'm like you don't like it. You're a liar. Jam. Number one movie is a gladiator with Russell Crowe-Wakene Phoenix.
Starting point is 01:25:46 The movie went on to make $500 million at the box office. In a pop culture, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt got married. The lavish wedding featured 50,000 flowers, four bands, and a 13-minute fireworks display. What year was it? Hey, pilled away you love me, Savage Garden, I know I loved you. Gladiator and the marriage of Jen Annison and Brad Pitt. Let me know when you're in.
Starting point is 01:26:08 Damn. I got it. Bunch is in. Eddie's in. Okay. Okay. I'm in. Hey, feel about it. Good?
Starting point is 01:26:18 I normally feel really good at this, but not today. What do you have? 1998. Lunchbox? Well, I forgot Brad Pitt and Jennifer Anderson were even married. 1998. Oh. Spaghetti?
Starting point is 01:26:31 Man, I jumped around 99, 2000, but I ended up in 1998. All three of you went out to 98. Yeah. Wow. And how about all three of you are wrong. What? 99. 99. 2007? 2000.
Starting point is 01:26:44 Oh no. Oh, my God. A couple there. Dang. Okay, do you. No wonder. And today was a $10,000 prize to one of them. Really? Yeah. And you had a chance to multiply it when we spun the wheel. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:26:56 Sorry, so no prize today. Amy's dog's birthday was yesterday. Yes. Pretty cool. 16? 16. Crazy. I saw you took her cupcakes, but you were like, is she too old for cupcakes? Yeah, I started to think that in the process. Where did you take them? I was driving there. School.
Starting point is 01:27:10 In the middle of school day or like the end of school day? Like her softball part of the day. So, and I mean, I checked with her coach before. But then I started to think like when I was walking up, I felt very like, is she going to think this is really lame? And everything went well. It was fine. I don't think your kids are ever too old to do that, by the way. I don't think you're ever too old for cupcakes.
Starting point is 01:27:33 Never. If you brought me cupcakes and you surprised me, I'd be like, dang, that's so cool. I like cupcakes. But around your friends, though, and it's your mom. A little different. I know. That's where... It's still cupcakes.
Starting point is 01:27:44 Oh, I agree. They get cupcakes too. I think that's why it's cool because you be like, I don't want, I'm embarrassed. But if your friends also get cupcakes, they're probably like, I'm so happy your mom's here too. Right. Okay. See, then that's how it went great. But like Eddie's thought that he just said out loud, that's what I had driving there, like thinking,
Starting point is 01:27:59 oh, especially, you know, kind of emailing her coach behind her back and making sure that it's good. Walking up, I felt a little insecure. But it went well. So I would just encourage any parent, go for it. Yeah. If it's cupcakes, if it's something that her friends will like too, of course, A plus. If you're just showing her to give her a hug because it's lunchtime, that's probably not going to go over that well. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:20 So I had all these cupcakes. They're all iced, but she doesn't like icing. So I left one cupcake with no icing. She doesn't like icing? And that was hers. No icing at all? She doesn't like sweets, really? She loves sweets.
Starting point is 01:28:31 But she's very particular about icing. So a lot of times she'll get cake and she'll just scrape all the icing off. Wow. And then just eat the cake part. Wow. Yeah. But she likes sweets. Oh, yes.
Starting point is 01:28:43 Is she like a specific icing? Because I don't like too much icing. Because when I get a cookie from Great American Cookie Company, I don't like that much icing on it. I like just a little bit. But some of it I don't want any at all. So same thing else. I'll take it all all up to the side.
Starting point is 01:28:55 Because too much icing from Great American Cookie Company. But I love that cookie and I love that chocolate in that little white icing and just patches. That's good. So maybe it's just specific icing. I mean, yeah, she appreciated the naked cupcake. Man, I love Great American Cook Company. Oh, yeah. I would go by the mall.
Starting point is 01:29:11 I want to get a whole, I eat a whole cake. A whole, it's not a cake, a whole cookie. I get a whole cookie cake. Now I feel terrible about it afterwards. I don't know that I've ever actually eaten a whole one at once, but I know I have on a day because you get the whole one and you take it home. I would do that. I live by myself.
Starting point is 01:29:25 I get a whole one and be like, I'm going to eat this over the next few days. No, 12 hours, the whole thing is gone and you feel terrible. But that pound for pound might be the best dessert. Yeah, same for, I agree with you, but white icing only. No, I like the chocolate too. And the thing is they probably don't even taste different. They do. Oh, icing tastes different.
Starting point is 01:29:39 It's kind of like M&Ms. They're different colors, but they don't taste any different. The chocolate tastes like chocolate. Let me go over and talk to Daniel and Georgia. We were talking about these rings you can buy that you fill each other's heartbeat in. So Daniel, what's going on with you, buddy? So my buddy and his wife had a pair of these rings. And so one day he decided he just wanted to be sweet and just feel her heartbeat or whatever.
Starting point is 01:30:01 And her heartbeat was going crazy. Like, it was out of this world crazy. So he's like, oh my God. So he tried to call her to make sure everything was okay. But when he called her, she didn't answer. So he was like, oh, my God, something's got to be wrong. Something's totally wrong. So he checked her life 360 and it ended up that she was at a local hotel.
Starting point is 01:30:25 This is terrible. This is not true. This is terrible. Dude, I knew it was going to spread. Go ahead. So they ended up getting a divorce. He found out that she was actually at the hotel having an enough. affair and they ended up getting
Starting point is 01:30:39 a divorce. Because of that heartbeat ring. This is not good. I feel like this is one of those stories. And also he feels less than. He's offended because her heart never beats that fast when I'm doing it with her. Oh no. So did she admit to it? Did he go
Starting point is 01:30:55 to the hotel and actually catch her with the dude? She was 100% about it. She was like whenever he confronted her, she tried to lie about it at first but he's like, look, I've got your location on Life 360 that you were at this hotel. Like your heart rate was crazy. Like what was really going on?
Starting point is 01:31:12 And she even admitted it. Like, yeah, she was having an affair. And, yeah, they got a divorce. Why would you have your location on if you're having an affair? Or the ring. The ring, you can blame it on technology. But if you're, like, trying to do all this stuff to, if you're having an affair, why would you keep your, I don't know what Life 360 is?
Starting point is 01:31:31 I have Life 360. And it shows, like, every, like, I can even pull it up and I see. I would turn mine off. You can just see exactly where you're like, I do it for my kids. I can see exactly where they are. Yeah, that's weird. Turn off! You're probably hiding text messages.
Starting point is 01:31:46 Hide your life 360. But also don't have an affair. And that was probably a waste of money. All right, well, I appreciate that story, Daniel. Thanks for calling. I've got a corny joke for you too also. Bring it. So when does a joke become a dad joke?
Starting point is 01:32:02 When does a joke become a dad joke? When it's a parent Nice I've heard that one Okay cool We don't have to say that You didn't make a lot I think he's done it
Starting point is 01:32:11 I think he's done it Yeah yeah Good story too Daniel thanks buddy Appreciate that Bobby bone show Boney up the day This story comes us from
Starting point is 01:32:21 Michigan An 18 year old man Wanted to be a cop So bad He was like so I'm gonna order a badge Offline put a light on top of my car Drive around and start pulling people over Man that is just a bad thing to think
Starting point is 01:32:33 Bad. To try. Wow. Okay. So he, you want to be a cop so bad you go to school. You can do the cop. You go through the training. Actually be a cop.
Starting point is 01:32:41 Yes, go ahead. So pulls over a car. Woo-woo. It's got to be a cop. It's got to be a cop. It's got to be a cop. That's how you wanted that one to end. Because some people would do that stuff and it wouldn't a cop and they'd do bad things.
Starting point is 01:32:54 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I can't believe people would actually do that. Like pull someone over. Is it like a power thing? I mean, it probably feels so cool to be able to pull it. Excuse me, ma'am, do you know I pulled you over? You were speeding. And then what do you do?
Starting point is 01:33:07 Do you write him a fake ticket? Like, what do you do once you pull him over? It's a mad lib? You were going. Okay, so what happens to him? So then the cop's like, man, that badge looks fake. Shows him real badge. Cuffed and stuffed.
Starting point is 01:33:19 He has to get out of the car too, right? Because he can't, I would think as the real cop, you know, that if you're in your car and he's up taller and he probably is like, okay, fine. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have sped and he gets out. Oh, yeah, it gets level with him. Like he has to, because that is tricky, because what if he has a gun on him. Dang.
Starting point is 01:33:35 But how crazy is that to just... And what if you're that cop? And you're like, is this even real? Am I about to getting a gunfight? Am I about to... Is my life in danger now? But he still has to do it. Person's clearly not...
Starting point is 01:33:45 Dang. Okay. I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. We were talking about Lyme disease. We know people that have Lyme disease have been affected by Lyme disease in different ways, but they say there could be a vaccine in 2025,
Starting point is 01:33:59 which is great news. We start talking about ticks, Taylor and Alabama. Alabama is on right now. And with me, the ticks was, I got, I had ticks on me all the time as a kid because I just lived in the woods. Hey, Taylor, what do you want to say about this? So, I just take precautions on these ticks every year. About two years ago, I got bit by a lone star tick, and that caused me to have allergic reaction to any kind of red meat, any kind of meat that's on a hook.
Starting point is 01:34:24 So I'm strictly stuck to chicken and fish. Now, do you consider yourself lucky that that's, so far, that's all that's happened for? from this tick or you like, dang it, I love a port shot. I really miss it. Honestly, I don't feel lucky because I miss my steak. Yeah. What's the allergic reaction? So my allergic reaction is I kind of just get like nauseated really bad or I'll get like a, not really a fever.
Starting point is 01:34:53 I'll just get clammy from it. So I just really quit eating it. Now I have failed and ate a couple times. But then I'll get like sick to my stomach and that claminess. But I try to stick to the chest. kicking in fish and it's awful. I wish I could be allergic to something where it did something good to me, like maybe funnier or made like my pecks bigger.
Starting point is 01:35:11 Okay. Like, why does being allergic to something always have to be so bad? Like, I wish I were allergic and I just got three inches taller or something. That's like a superhero thing. I'll eat that. Yeah. Like, oh, you have an allergy to this. Wheat really messes me up.
Starting point is 01:35:23 Yeah, but the thing is your teeth get whiter when you do. Well, like, why does allergies have to be so bad all the time? Why can't we have good things that happen to us? That'd be nice. I'm sorry, Taylor, that happened to you. Thank you for sharing that story. I'm just amazed with all the ticks that I had on me as a kid. And maybe I do.
Starting point is 01:35:38 Maybe you have Lyme disease? No, not Lyme. I'm not saying Lyme disease. Maybe I have something else. Yeah, because is yours Lyme disease, Taylor, or is it just a tick? No, it's alpha gal and it's strictly from a Lone Star tick, the ones with the dot on the back. I blame Texas. So weird.
Starting point is 01:35:54 The Lone Star State. Yeah, Lone Star State for providing us with the Lone Star Tick. All right. Taylor, thank you. I'm sorry that's happened to you. I'm going to go probably have some prime rib to something. Yeah, it's going to be good, too. Not watering even.
Starting point is 01:36:06 For her, yeah. No, not for her. I'm just going to have it and think about her. Taylor, have a good day. You do. All right, bye-bye. Okay, that's it. Bye, everybody.
