Starting point is 00:03:13 Morning. Here we are. We're here. We're glad you're here. Let's do what we do every morning to start us off. Here is our producer who does all the videos. He's the data for everybody. Producer Eddie.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Let's go. Guys, my Christmas is off to a bad start. I busted out the lights for the first time. And half of them. No, no, no. Not half. 90% of them don't work. Is this though if one light doesn't work,
Starting point is 00:03:36 the rest doesn't work? No, no. You're talking about how the string works, but every third light is out. And I'm just like, this is ridiculous. And so what do I do? I sit at the table with all my replacements, plug them in one at a time. I get on Amazon. Can I buy more replacements?
Starting point is 00:03:51 I'm checking the fuses. I'm like Clark Griswold over here. It's terrible. So are you done? I put, there's two sets of lights that look good, but the rest I've hung up, but I can't plug them in because they're missing lights and I'm still waiting on Amazon orders. But then where do you put them? Is it just tree or are you going to do the outside of your house?
Starting point is 00:04:08 doing trim around the house. So around the door frame, around the garage, around some trees. You're doing it all yourself? Yeah. Oh yeah. Well, I get help from my 14 year old. And then Big Santa, he's up. You're blowing it back up? Big Santa's back up, baby. That's got like that. Now that one, the lights worked, and he was full. That's what I'm worried about. Yeah, it was great. It's perfect. I saw, I was driving to work Monday, and I saw somebody hit a deer on the side of the road. Oh. Like a, because it was just nighttime and they hit a deer. And then I drove up like, I don't know, quarter mile and then that big blown up reindeer was also
Starting point is 00:04:39 land down on the side of the road. Oh gosh. You just want a deer spree? Boom, doom. Hit a real one. Hit the fake one. Any deer. Fake deer.
Starting point is 00:04:47 A big blow up deer. Big blow up deer was hit too. Dang. That's crazy, man. All right. Up next, he says his mother-in-law is in love with him. So his father-in-law takes it out on him. Here he is.
Starting point is 00:04:55 Wish I Merry Christmas. To lunchbox, everybody. I am here coming to Dr. Bones needing an advice. A diagnosis. What do you call it? Diagnosis? That's what's called.
Starting point is 00:05:05 Diagnostic. Yeah. Diagnosis. Okay, go ahead. Diagnosis. Is it your nasty cough? Yes, listen. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:05:12 I have had something going on for two weeks, two weeks, and I cannot get rid of it. I've been to the doctor twice in here. Ray, play a little bit of it. Oh, no. Oh, stop. Okay, we're good. We hear this during breaks all the time and we like lean away from him. Well, he's right next to me.
Starting point is 00:05:30 No, no, that's me. Every morning. Ray, play it a little bit. Oh, no more. No more. more. Go ahead. That is me. I have to get up an hour earlier just so I can cough all the mucus out of my system. I've been to the doctor
Starting point is 00:05:43 twice. I can't figure it out so I'm coming to you, Dr. Bones. What is wrong with me? In general or the cough? The cough. I always wonder what's wrong with you normally because you have two parents that love you, a stable home, all of these reasons for you to be a little more normal and nice, but you don't, you're not. So that's a whole different thing. Yeah. But being that I do have a doctorate from the University of Arkansas, honorary doctorate.
Starting point is 00:06:11 Have you been to the doctor at all? Twice. And they've said, they gave me a breathing treatment, they gave me a steroid shot, they gave me a steroid pack, they gave me cough medicine and cough pills. Oh. Guess what? Here we are two weeks later. Still got it. It must be viral then.
Starting point is 00:06:25 Because anything viral, you can't really go in and fix. It's a virus. It's got to run its course. I mean, at night, I'm telling you what, I wake up five times a night. Coffing. Can't sleep throughout the night. Let the doctor talk. Have you had any sort of, you've had an antibiotic?
Starting point is 00:06:40 I haven't had antibiotic. Because it's viral. I know. I had steroids. I always like to take an antibiotic for no reason at all a couple times a year. No, don't do that. That's not good. Don't do that.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Don't do that. So, this is what I'm going to say. Do you have like an antibiotic or do you have a Z pack at the house? No, no, I don't have a Z pack. I took a steroid pack. Isn't a Z pack? Yeah. I've already done that.
Starting point is 00:07:01 You took all the five and the three and three. Five, four, three, two, one. Boom, all done. So I think what you need to do is just record a couple boneheads ahead of time and then just take a couple days off. And don't talk. Yeah, you can't do anything. Well, no, no, guys, it's been two weeks. No, I'm saying, no, no, no, you have to just rest and get better.
Starting point is 00:07:20 Yeah, he's just trying to drink a lot of water. No, no, I drink a lot of water and I wake up six times a night to pee and cough and it's awful. You do at the same time? That feels messy. Duh. Oh, no, it does. No, it's just a coughing causing you to pee? You have to, like, when you're peeing and you have to cough, you have to hold it in.
Starting point is 00:07:35 because it gets crazy. It stinks. Coughs are terrible because you can't get rid of them. It has been horrendous. Like, I'm coughing up blood. Well, wait, this is being worse. Okay, now we just elevated.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Yeah, let me type it in here. Oh. Like that could be... I just got the death card. Yeah. Sometimes it's mucus, sometimes it's blood. It's terrible. I diagnosed by tarot cards.
Starting point is 00:07:51 Well, it looks like... Does the doctor know there's blood? Yeah, I told him that. And what he said? Uh, she was just like, okay, well, we'll give you a baby. Very sexist to me to say what he would say. I should have said, what did the doctor say. Yes.
Starting point is 00:08:03 Go ahead. They said, my doctor's a guy, so I assume everybody else is this. They gave me a breathing treatment and said, yeah, that's probably not very good. Probably very irritating. I'm like, yeah, you think? Okay, it's just time. Did you watch The Crown? Mm-mm.
Starting point is 00:08:16 The king, the original king, the queen's dad, you know, that was way back in the day. He was coughing up blood. Pretty sure it was. Yeah, here's what I'm going to say. You got three weeks to live. Yeah. I would find a bull name Fu Manchu, I'm being honest.
Starting point is 00:08:30 Go skydiving. Maybe jump out of a plane. Yeah. He's going to cough again. Oh my goodness Is that blood? Have we tried like mucinette? You just want to take it
Starting point is 00:08:40 Bro, just take a couple days off Man, no Record a couple of bone heads I'm here for you guys I'm here for the listeners He's collecting his mucus in a cup Come on we can't have that in the studio That's so gross
Starting point is 00:08:50 I mean I got to I got my water bottle and I got a cup You need to just rest And drink a lot of water All right Sleep and water Is the best thing that we can do Once we've tried other things
Starting point is 00:09:00 If it's viral ain't nothing happen until it runs its course. I'm very sorry that's happening to you. It's making me feel like I have stuff in my throat. No, no, I'm definitely past the contagious stage because, I mean, it's been two weeks. I don't know about that. Well, here's a prescription for some Xanax. What is that? Xanax.
Starting point is 00:09:17 Yeah, that'll put you asleep. Yeah, just arrest you. Yeah, yeah. Here you go. Take this. All right, let's go over. Here she is. Amy, everybody.
Starting point is 00:09:23 All right. So I started sleeping with my phone in the bathroom. It's close enough to where I can still hear my alarm. Why? Because you talked about this. Man who sleep with phone and bathroom wake up with stinky phone. No, no, no, no. I've heard from a lot of people that that's the best place to put it.
Starting point is 00:09:40 So it's out of your way. You don't have that. And then like last week you shared with us some story about how it's good to not sleep with your phone by you. And so my bathroom happens to be close enough to where if I have the door open, I can hear my alarm go off and I can still hear my noise maker because I use my phone as a noise maker too. It's not going to last.
Starting point is 00:09:58 I like the idea of it. It's not going to last. Why? Because you're going to oversleep. You're going to sleep a little too hard. You won't hear the phone. You're going to get up and be like, I need to check text messages. And you're going to be like, well, don't I just leave it here.
Starting point is 00:10:07 You're going to get a second phone line that goes in. It's not even that phone line. You're like, well, I'm keeping that phone in there. But I keep this one here just in case. That's a good. Let us know how it works. I'll keep you person. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:16 Yeah, I've done it. Two nights. She's proud of that. Hey, it has to start somewhere. I like it. It's right. Every great voyage starts with a single step. That's right.
Starting point is 00:10:26 That's right. Thank you very much. From Mountain Pine, Arkansas. He loves Sonic and maybe Lunchbox needs a colonic. Bobby Bones. Yeah, maybe he does. Wow, that's good, man. Yeah, I thought about that for your cough.
Starting point is 00:10:38 I now diagnose you with. Is that the thing up the... Let's do it live. I ain't doing that. Okay, here's what I'm going to do. I need everybody that listens to the show. Not everybody, but there's a small selection of folks to, if I'm a doctor and prescribing things,
Starting point is 00:10:51 to take a pill, a chill pill. Now, let me tell you what chill pill I'm going to have everybody take. It's the one where you don't get upset because some stations are doing like Mary Swiftmas. They're giving away Taylor Swift tickets. They're not saying Taylor Swift is bigger than Christ. They're not replacing Christ. It's a goofy name that's just a Taylor Swift giveaway.
Starting point is 00:11:10 I get complaints going, why are you doing Taylor Swiftmas? You don't love the Lord? And I'm like, first of all, I'm not doing swiftness. But if a station is and I'm reading their liners, it has nothing to do with their love of the Lord. We have a station that's called like Kicks, like Kix 106. Mary Kixmas. They're not saying Kicks is better than Christ.
Starting point is 00:11:27 it's just a dopey name. I don't even like it. But I'm telling you, don't get up, just... And if it's so upsetting to you, you can change the station, even here. But you can also enter to win. Absolutely, that's what I'm saying. I mean, Taylor Swift tickets are hard to come by. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:41 There's like Merry Ripsmus, where they do, like, guitars. That's cool. That's cool. So, but don't assume they're taking Christ out of it for any reason other than it just sound. They may say it's a swiftness Christmas. It's just a replace. It's not even a replacement for Christ. So, everybody.
Starting point is 00:11:57 Take a chill pill. And call me in the morning. Where do we get that pill? You just said it's metaphorical. Lean up and it's in your butt. Okay. Oh, there it is. That's every question.
Starting point is 00:12:08 I'm like, hey, Caitlin, have you seen the remote? She's like, oh my, because I'm like 12. And she'll hit me back with, oh, yeah, have you checked your butt? And I'm like, okay, ha-ha. She hits me back with the 12-year-old, just to be funny. All right, we're here. As you can tell, we're stupid today. Lunchbox is sick.
Starting point is 00:12:24 But toughing it out for you guys. You're free to go home. I'm good, man. The listeners, I mean, they would still tune out, ratings would go down. And that would hurt us all? While you're giving. You're very giving. It's a Christmas season.
Starting point is 00:12:36 Christmas spirit, and I hope you have good tidings for the rest of the show. Thank you, you too. Time to open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it all the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Hello, Bobby Bones. I could use your advice. One of my best friends recently got married, which is great,
Starting point is 00:12:54 except now he insists. His wife comes with him whenever we hang out. This will be fine except his wife is a buzz kill. She complains about anything and everything we do. When we go to a restaurant, she complains about the food, the service, the experience. Not only does she complain to her husband, but she complains to the wait staff. Another example of her chronic complaining is when a group of us went to a concert. He brought her despite the fact that she didn't even know the band.
Starting point is 00:13:20 And she complained the entire time. She complained about the opener, the volume, the link to the concert. Lastly, she criticized it complains about my driving from the backseat of the car. That irritates me because she didn't offer to drive, pay for gas, and doesn't even know how to get there. I love my friend, and I want to invite him, but I would prefer if he doesn't bring his wife along to everything. I don't know how to tell him this. What do I do?
Starting point is 00:13:43 Signed. Friend of a best friend with a Buzzkill wife. Yeah, that's complicated. Amy, I heard you over there making a couple noises. What do you think? Yeah, because I'm like, that is such a bummer. I would feel like you would maybe eventually have to say, hey, it's going to be the guys. Yeah, you can try that, but if that doesn't work, when it doesn't work, you just have to stop inviting him to things.
Starting point is 00:14:08 Oh, him to? Yeah, well, the problem is you're going to put him in a situation where he has to go to his wife and say, hey, you can't come. It's going to make his home life uncomfortable. It's everybody loses then. The guy loses, the friend loses, the wife. Everybody loses in that situation. So the easiest thing to do, first is. go, hey, we're doing a guy's night only.
Starting point is 00:14:26 Me and Chuck and Butch and, I don't know. We're all getting together. We're going and we're eating ham hawks. You know, whatever guys do. And, okay, well, you know, it's hard to get away. If he just can't come to something without her, you just can't abide him anymore. Because you don't want to put him in the situation
Starting point is 00:14:42 to go, hey, they don't want you there because then she'll hate you and then it'll make him not be able to be around you at all. Do you think people that are buzzkills have any inkling there are a buzzkill? Like, do they know? I know I am sometimes. I'm cool with this. That's why I don't do much. Okay. Like I want to be invited, but I don't want to go. But you're not, okay, but you don't annoy other people.
Starting point is 00:15:02 I don't complain. I just don't. You're not vocal about it. You'll go sit in a corner. Yes. And that's just how I live my life. And that's, but that's not, you're not making anybody, you're not killing anybody else's fun. Okay. That's fair. So you're actually not a buzz kill. But I would just, that's, I would give, well, him the opportunity to maybe, I mean, does he know his wife is that way? Could he talk to her about it and be like, hey, babe, could we chill on the complaining? The problem is if you mention it to him, he's also going to be offended. Yeah, because that's his wife you're talking about. Yeah. I know, but.
Starting point is 00:15:30 The answer. He wants to hear their wife is a buzzkill. The answer is this. You say, hey, we're having a guy's night only. Obviously, Chuck and Butch will be there. Yeah, Ham Hawks. And we're going to go and you see if he can come. And if you can then, then you have to strategically plan your guy's nights.
Starting point is 00:15:43 But then you have to have her come to things occasionally, too. But if he can't, he can't hang out with you anymore. There goes your best friend. That's it. Yeah. I mean, this happens. This happens. It does?
Starting point is 00:15:52 Yes. Yeah. I've lost many of friends. Because of Bud Kill Wives. And Bud Kill Wives. Wow, I had no idea. It happens. They kill too much of your bud.
Starting point is 00:16:03 Then the next thing you know. Like, if you get stopped inviting places of a couple, know you have the Buzzkill wife. Yeah, you know what happened. Yep. Dang, I don't want to be the Buzzkill. Which is why Caitlin, she's like, why don't we get invited anymore?
Starting point is 00:16:16 I used to get the Buzz Kill husband. That's not it. Yeah, that's it, man. It's easy for you. As guys, we can tell you, you have to plan a guy's night and you got to be around her some because she's your best friend's wife
Starting point is 00:16:26 but if it comes to the point you can't ask him to say something to her you just got to not invite him anyone that's the deal you know why just don't Cole said so yeah that's why all right thank you
Starting point is 00:16:38 that's the mailbag close it up we've got your email and we've read it on your air now it's about to close Bobby's mail bag yeah it's a Bobby Bones show interview in case you didn't know
Starting point is 00:16:51 you would know her from songs like My Church The Bones And I could use a love song Great songwriter, great singer Her husband, Ryan Hurd, a dear friend of mine I'm very jealous of his muscles And here she is, Maren Morris
Starting point is 00:17:16 On the Bobby Bones show now Marin Morris Okay here's the thing, Marin's final show and her humble quest tour is happening here on December 2nd, and it's a Bridgestone Arena. Get tickets at MarinMorris.com. I hope you go, because Marin is lovely, and she is a wonderful performer, and she has all the songs that you like. Now, I've said all that.
Starting point is 00:17:35 Now, Marin, welcome to the show. Hi. See? What do you even say after that, exactly? So, Marin, there is this romantic version of an artist like yourself and what backstage is, and people are always like, I want to go backstage at Marin Morris. and again, I guess the movies make backstage look cool. Could you explain to our audience what exactly is happening backstage at one of your shows?
Starting point is 00:18:00 Bridgetown Arena will probably be a much nicer backstage than a lot of the backstages that we've had in recent tours. So, I mean, it could be shabbier for sure. I would say, like, we try to have it pretty stick and sand, not too cluttered. We have a vibe room where you can, like, make yourself a drink before the show or playing music. And hanging and just, yeah, getting into show mode. But I don't know how romantic it is, unless Ryan's there. Well, I don't even mean like you guys are going to make out. I mean, like, people think, you know, it's where the big, all the party and happens.
Starting point is 00:18:33 It's like, it's going, it's bat-esque crazy. Backstages where the artist is go as bonkers before the show. I mean, it's really just where you kind of, you don't even go, hang backstage for the most part. I mean, usually you're in your bus, right? Yeah, I would say like this is the first tour I've hung out, the, most just because I've got my son out. And I really enjoy hanging in the venue with everyone. It's fun.
Starting point is 00:18:58 But I would say like this Friday at Bridgetown, we're obviously going to party on stage. But then I think the after party, because it's the end of the tour, is going to be way more intense and fun than the pre-show. And this is why you guys have to go to the show. It's the final show of the tour, which means it all gets left out there. You know, I say a ball player is like, leave it all out on the field. You don't want to finish the game and it's going to be an excellent show. You should drive in. You should fly in and go to this show.
Starting point is 00:19:27 Now, here's the question. If someone buys merch, now, Lunchbox thinks that it is bad form to wear the merch that you bought at that show that night, right, Lunchbox? 100%. You look like a loser. Merrill, what do you think about this rule? I have to respectfully disagree. Same.
Starting point is 00:19:44 I think it's cool. I think, like, and also who would know that you bought it that day? Because you're wearing it over another shirt I mean those people look like absolute tools Okay so if you didn't go to the bathroom to change your shirt Like maybe you'll just look a little weird But yeah I think it's cool to wear the merch to the show Also a lot of our shows except for this one have been outdoors
Starting point is 00:20:05 So if it's chilly at night and you see people in the sweat sets I'm like oh that's a really smart purchase Do you ever wear your own merch because you just have some extras Like in a drawer somewhere and you're like I guess I'll just wear this and then you put it on and it's your face? I actually did for the first time on this tour. I wore a face tea because they were brand new and they looked cool and very 90s.
Starting point is 00:20:29 And I'm not ashamed. I wore it on stage. Yeah. See, I have a lot of Bibone tour shirts that I cut the sleeves out of and just work out. I have Ryan Hurd shirts and my own merch shirts. That's basically what I work out in. And like long-haired Ryan Hurd.
Starting point is 00:20:43 Is he just dad now with short hair or do you think he'll go back to the Jesus look? I do miss the Jesus look on him. Every time it gets a little long, though, he just has that itch to go get it all cut off. So if you can talk him into growing it out, I can't, but maybe you can. All right. Marin, we have a few questions left for you,
Starting point is 00:21:02 which, by the way, everybody needs to go to Marin's final show, Bridgetown Arena in Nashville. Okay, quick versions, quick questions here. Everything that's like your set pieces for your tour, where does it go once the tour is over? What do you do with it? I mean, I wish I put it in my backyard. because this tour set was really cool.
Starting point is 00:21:20 It had a ton of trees and all this grass. I think it goes through a warehouse, and sometimes they get recycled on other tours, but do you want them? I do not want them, but I have a humongous red bobby bones. It's a blow-up that I have not been able to do anything with since I bought it, and it just sits in my garage.
Starting point is 00:21:41 It's like, I don't know what to do with this, so I can only imagine all the things that you have that you've paid for that you don't know what to do with. I should probably be better on future tours about planning the set so I can use the set pieces after the tour is over in my home. Well, if you need to buy a cheap Bobby Bones, the letters are like six foot tall. Let me know because I can definitely hook you up. Yeah, would you like a neon hero sign in your basement? You know, that would work a little better than what I have right now. Okay, Marin, quick, Googled questions about you. The most Google questions are here at the top three.
Starting point is 00:22:12 Number one, how tall is Marin Morris? Five one. What is Marin Morris's most famous song? The Middle or The Bones or My Church? I don't know. That's your whole catalog, Maren. We didn't say a whole catalog. Depends on who you asked.
Starting point is 00:22:24 And then finally, does Maren want to get into acting? Yeah, I would try it. Try it like you're already trying it, or you would try it if somebody came to you? I would try it if it was the right project. I don't think I could play someone totally dissimilar to myself. But I think, yeah, I would take a stab out of it. it. Listen, there she is. I hope everybody goes to the show. You know I'm a massive Marin fan and Marin Morris.com. It all ends on this show on Nashville, December 2nd, Bridgestone Arena with
Starting point is 00:22:55 Rustin Kelly and Brittany Spencer. Merrin, you know we love you, and I hope the show goes awesome, and we will talk to you and see you soon. Thanks, Bobby. Thanks, lunchbox. Bye, Mary. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. Ernie Botts Jr. is a businessman making business deals trying to get that money. He lives in the Boston area. And last week he was like, I didn't need to do something good for the community. So he said, I'm going to give away $50,000 in gas.
Starting point is 00:23:24 So he just put it on social media, hey, starting at 8 a.m., free gas at this gas station. I bet you there wasn't anybody trampled there. Oh, right? And he just... Imagine everyone. He just sat there filling up gas tanks for $50,000 every car. You want some gas? Fill her up!
Starting point is 00:23:40 Fill her up! What if you wait in line and the one front of you is the one that hits $50,000? No more gas. Go home. That has to happen. Go home, everybody. There has to be someone that is the cutoff. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:51 But that's the second time he's done this this year. That's crazy. What kind of business? What kind of businessman is he making those business deals making that money? That's what I need to find out because if he's got $50,000 to give away. A hundred thousand. Yeah, actually $100,000. Right.
Starting point is 00:24:02 And it's not like it's to a 501c3. It's a gas station. That's a charity organization. Like if you have a money, you have to donate. So why don't you do something like this? You want to make the news he did. I don't have $50,000. Okay, $49.
Starting point is 00:24:17 I don't have $49. What if I do $5? Hey, you get $5 a gas. You get $5 a gas. Would that make the news? I don't know. If you do it twice only? No.
Starting point is 00:24:25 What is that one gallon? And stop right there. You've got to make sure everyone stops. One and a half gallon. Sorry, that's all you get. What's his name again? His name is Ernie Botch Jr. Ernie Botch Jr.
Starting point is 00:24:38 Good deal. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Starting point is 00:28:46 HELP, betterhelp.com slash bobby. Betterhelp.com slash Bobby. On yesterday's show, we had a listener call us and say, can you tell me what the Crisleys actually did to go to jail. Now, the Crisleys, a reality show family, you followed their life. They were rich. they were flamboyant loud funny
Starting point is 00:29:06 Todd guest hosted this show he was so nice I like Todd and all of a sudden I see they're in trouble then I see they're going to jail for a long time both of them
Starting point is 00:29:15 so Lunchbox gave us a story about how according to the documents in the court case they apparently committed bank fraud where they took out a loan for 20 million bucks
Starting point is 00:29:27 and then transferred the money and then said oh we don't have the money anymore were going bankrupt. The money never got paid back, but they got to keep it if in somebody else's account. Is that pretty accurate
Starting point is 00:29:38 according to what you read? According to what this lawyer on YouTube told me. Yes. Anything else is there could be not using it to mean to court of law and this is just something
Starting point is 00:29:45 that I heard and I'm just trying to give it right a bit of a bit of a good deal. Okay, there's the statement to read. But they're going to these prisons that are like white collar prisons and we're like, man, that sounds awesome.
Starting point is 00:29:55 Like you get to go with their attendance courts. And then people are like, no, it ain't that nice. Okay. I'm going to put on Ed. So Ed apparently worked at the place
Starting point is 00:30:02 where the Crisleys are going to prison. Oh, man. Perfect. Ed, what does that mean you worked at the place? I was a contractor. We were doing renovations on the air-condition systems. So is it the one where he's going or the one where she's going? No, it's the one where he's going.
Starting point is 00:30:17 It's an all-mail facility there in Pennsylvania. So can you tell me what this place is like? Because they say prison, but what was it like on the inside? It's like, it's not jail cells. It's like individual apartments, okay? You've got multiple buildings. has probably got 10 to 15 apartments in each building. They've got a golf course.
Starting point is 00:30:38 They've got tennis courts. Oh, my God. They've got a swimming pool. I'm going to the bank today after the show. Wow. A golf course? What is happening? You probably don't need a tea time.
Starting point is 00:30:49 I do need to go away. Oh, my God. They look better than Ray does. Yeah. Wait, what? Okay, I'm sorry to interrupt, Ed. We're just in discipline. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:30:57 They have all this stuff. Go ahead. I'm sorry. Yeah, they have a dining hall. there's actually no jail cells anywhere. It's all set up like apartments, and all the inmates, they do all the groundswork. They cut the grass, trim the bushes, edge, the place is immaculate, you know. And what's so funny about it, I had a truck and a trailer, and when you first come in, you fill out your paperwork,
Starting point is 00:31:24 they give you a sticker to put on your vehicle, and when you come in in in the morning, they wait you through, and I was pulling a trailer. And in the afternoons, they never even checked the trailer to see if I had four or five people piled up in the trailer. They just wave at you and say you see tomorrow, you know.
Starting point is 00:31:39 Like you could have driven out. The security of Solax, you could have driven out with the whole Chrissley family and just pieced out. Yeah. They have a chain link fence around it, but there's no razor wire
Starting point is 00:31:51 or nothing like you would see at a big prison. And the inmates have to wear uniforms, but they give them white pants and like a white polo shirt. They're not in the orange jumpsuits or anything like that. They even got several of them to come help us when we would unload materials and stuff. It's really lax, you know.
Starting point is 00:32:12 But they do have, at night, they go to every apartment and they do a head cap, you know, to make sure nobody left. Why would you want to leave? You got a tea time in the morning. I wouldn't go. I'd go to bed. Sounds great. Yeah. Wow.
Starting point is 00:32:26 You don't want to take anyone to do scared straight. there because they'd be like, no, I'm going to commit some crimes. Right. You know, take a kid to a jug. You're like, kids, if you do bad, you'll end up here. Don't go there. Because they'd be like, oh, oh, I'd like to end up here. Wow.
Starting point is 00:32:39 That's amazing, I know. Golf course. I mean, what kind of food? Do they have, like, food court, chick-blake? Can you imagine? I don't know. We were not allowed to go in the dining hall. We didn't have any work in there, but they told us it was just like a, sort of like a buffet line, you know.
Starting point is 00:32:58 They got a P.F. Changs is what I'm hearing. Olive Garden. This is crazy. Now I'm jealous, Todd Krista. You got 20 million bucks and gets to go to fun camp? I mean, maybe this is all part of his master play. My wife would never say they might be golfing all the time. No, not in there.
Starting point is 00:33:13 No, you're good. I've been giving three to five rounds a week. Wow. Well, Ed, I appreciate that call. Thank you for the insight you gave us here. Thank you very much, and I appreciate you listening. All right. Thank you, sir. All right, Ed.
Starting point is 00:33:28 That's crazy. I want to go to jail. That's a country club, man. Yeah. That's what it is. You get to live at the country club. Wow. Your membership fee is commit a crime.
Starting point is 00:33:36 No kids. And then to mow the grass, great. I do that every other way, too. That's true. I know. Those people probably like to keep a pristine yard. No HOA news. Jeez.
Starting point is 00:33:48 Okay. Well, now I'm sad at my life. I'm rethinking my life right now. Experts say put a barrier between your tree and your pet, especially when you put your tree up. It's new. it's big. The pet could pull it over, hurt it.
Starting point is 00:34:02 Can start a fire in the house. Could break stuff. So put your Christmas tree if you can as close to the corner as possible. So if it does fall, it's got walls to kind of break its fall, surround it. If you can with the baby gate
Starting point is 00:34:14 or something to keep the dogs away from it. Otherwise, the trees will die as well. Or the pet could get very sick by eating the needles. The pet can also die. This is from mental floss. So pets and Christmas trees are an accident waiting to happen.
Starting point is 00:34:28 And that being said, I'd like to share, I'll let him share the story, but he almost died. Scoobud, do you want to tell the story about you almost dying? Yeah, it happened, Merry Christmas, by the way. Yeah, good tidings. Yeah, so it happened last night. We're putting up our Christmas lights. And you know how traditionally there's, like, the plastic Christmas lights that are like the little bulbs? And then they have the nicer ones that are the glass bulbs.
Starting point is 00:34:48 So I've got the nicer ones. We were putting them up. Okay, flex. Yeah, I'm rich. He didn't even have to do that whole song and dance about cheap and nice. He's like, you know how they have those wide to have the other ones? You could have just said we have the... Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:34:59 Yeah, well, they were giving me by my grandfather before he passed. I'm just sad. Okay, he got us back. We're back to even. Go ahead. Thank you. And so I'm putting them up. It's a little wet yesterday.
Starting point is 00:35:10 And I'm not paying attention to it. I'm just putting the lights up really quick. They're plugged in so you can see that they're working or not. And I go to grab what part of the strand, and all of a sudden, I just almost black out. And I feel this feeling of... And I just was like, I just stood there. And I'm like, what in the heck? Just happened and I looked down on my finger and it's stuck in there's like a bulb missing my finger got somehow lodged into the actual
Starting point is 00:35:35 Socket where the bulb goes you felt the shock I felt the shock I I passed out I don't know how long time passed But but Hey the last thing here remembers is something called Y2K They were telling us the computers may not work Yeah, but he passed outstanding. Yeah, but how did this electricity stop? I think there's a difference of passing out and just Blanking out like like yeah when it's I'd say blacking, but like blanking. Like blank.
Starting point is 00:36:00 Yeah, yeah. Not like, I don't like hit the ground and fall or anything. What did it feel? Did you feel it coming on? Did you feel it at the end of it? How did you get your finger out of it? It was just like an absolute surprise. And so it was there and it happened.
Starting point is 00:36:11 It probably lasted a few seconds. And then I pulled it out immediately. But what the weird thing was was the feeling that I had. Like it kind of turned me on. The shocking of it. And I kind of wanted to do it again. Wait, what? What were you going to put in the whole?
Starting point is 00:36:27 Whoa. You know what? What in the world? You mean it allowed you to feel something? Yeah, like I felt something and I was like... He felt alive. Yeah, exactly. I felt like this is wrong.
Starting point is 00:36:38 Like, oh my God, I don't want to ever do it again. But I was like, but I kind of want to do it again. So to you, it was like a thrill. It was kind of a thrill, but I'm nervous because I'm... Hey, get me a fork. Excuse me, come. Yeah. Bro, like you almost died and now you're all excited about it.
Starting point is 00:36:52 Maybe it's the thrill of death. Maybe it excites me. It's a new revelation. Well, I'm glad you didn't... die. Thank you, yes, yeah. And it's really cool. You got the expensive ones. Yes, thank you so much for that. Sorry, your grandpa died.
Starting point is 00:37:04 Thank you. But I've never heard of anyone getting shocked to the point where they're almost blacking out and going like I really liked it. Turned him on. That's some dark stuff there. I feel like better help. They'll be like, we have no manual for this. Remote code bones. Yeah, for better.
Starting point is 00:37:19 Check it out later. They have to go to like five different therapists. I don't know, man. He's like, I've tried the drop-down bar. There's just not anything for erotic shocking. I mean. Well, you know, ho, ho, ho, ho, buddy. Merry Christmas.
Starting point is 00:37:32 I'm glad you're okay. Did you tell your wife you like that? I haven't told her no, no, because she'll freak out. They're going to have the car battery in the bedroom. What's that called? What's that called? I don't know what it's called. I'm ending this.
Starting point is 00:37:42 No, it's called something. This first voicemail is in regards to Eddie seeing a UFO and coming in on the show. I mean, he's fired up. He saw it. He's excited, a little bit scared, but he's told us all about it. And this is someone who wants to tell you about that. Come on. Eddie, I'm so sorry, buddy, but you didn't see a UFO.
Starting point is 00:38:02 What that was was one of those Chinese fire balloons that they let out, you know, for memory of someone, they go up, and once they get so high, they run out of oxygen and they go out. It's not that you saw it going up, and then it went so fast, it just disappeared. It's just a light burnout, man. I'm sorry, but unidentified fiery object is what you saw. Love the show. I don't know that that's what it was. Yeah, I don't know either.
Starting point is 00:38:32 I don't know either. He's being a burnt out. A little bit. I love that people come on and tell me what I saw. Hey, man. You know what you saw? It's a wine cooler. And I had it right before I called here. Six of them. Bartles and James. Ever heard of them?
Starting point is 00:38:48 Bartles and James? That's old school, dude. That's old school. My mom drank that. Remember the commercial was like two old men? All right, here's Megan. I was out to work for two weeks. I had surgery. I obviously wasn't going out in the morning to drive to work. But I went back to work this week, and I got to tell you, it makes my morning hearing you guys. I absolutely missed all your voices every single morning. Just want to tell you. I love you guys. You guys are awesome. Keep doing what you're doing because you're making my day.
Starting point is 00:39:20 Thanks. It's very nice. Here's a little treat for you. Here's all of our voices at the same time. 3, 2, 1. I just want you to know I just think about do you da da da da da da da All right you guys for her A little treat for you Megam Merry Christmas
Starting point is 00:39:31 Good tidings The Bible show Here's Amy's pile of stories I have the most Search celebrity Of 2022 Taylor Swift Because she's back
Starting point is 00:39:42 Obviously the rocks Always up there And the Kardashians Are always up there I count the Jenner's in there With that as well Donald Trump Gets a lot of attention
Starting point is 00:39:52 Fauci This is something Someone who, you know, a lot of those people over the years, it could be any given year that maybe they were the most searched, this is really just this year. I doubt you've ever searched this person before this year. Me Me outside. Oh, catch me outside. Yeah, that's what it is. Catch me outside.
Starting point is 00:40:10 Who is it, Amy? Amber Hurd. Most searched? Yeah, because of the Johnny Depp. No, I know why, but I didn't care enough of. Well, that's surprising. She got an average of 5.6 million searches every single month. Yeah, I just give no craps at all.
Starting point is 00:40:28 That trial was awesome. Not even, yeah, you said that. I don't even have a mild interest. Okay, well, isn't she from Austin? Yes. Yeah. Oh, really? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:40:37 Right behind her with 5.5 million searches per month would be Johnny Depp. Oh, the trial. Who were you going to say? Not them. I don't know, McGruff, crime dog. Anybody with them. I just wasn't interested. I felt like it was a little too dramatic.
Starting point is 00:40:52 I'm not, that's not my thing. Okay, what else? There's a new popular emoji. I want to see if anybody in here is using it. You know the one that I use a lot now? The smiley face, but with the glasses like I wear. Oh, yeah. Because it looks like you.
Starting point is 00:41:04 That's good for you. Yeah, but you know why I use it. Do you know what my statement is when I use that? Smart. I know what I'm talking about. That's show biz, baby. It can be any of those. Here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:41:15 I just post it when I have nothing to say back, and people just interpret their own way because it really says nothing. It just looks like me. So if someone's need a message and because sometimes you have to end text with people, So like people that are older want you to end text conversations with them. Or they also sign their name sometimes too. Yes, yeah. I've seen that.
Starting point is 00:41:30 Yeah. And so I just started to post that as like my ending is it means nothing. And so now somebody else sent me a text and I don't have a response. Send it back because it looks like me and they just think it's like me posting me. So but that ain't it, but that should be. It's my number one. I'm going to go the hand clap. No.
Starting point is 00:41:49 It is the saluting face emoji where the emoji is like, oh, saluting. I get confused on all the water come out of the eyes because there's water that's like pouring out of the eyes
Starting point is 00:41:59 like crying there's like the sweat cry but it's also like are you sweating or are you crying there's so it's like
Starting point is 00:42:06 which one there's the laughing there's the smirk too it's like this and you're like but what are you saying to me
Starting point is 00:42:14 what's the smirk oh I like that I know but there's so many ways to interpret that it's like nope
Starting point is 00:42:19 I asked I said okay what's this smirk it was like because that's pretty funny That's not the smirk. There's a too many.
Starting point is 00:42:27 So you know what I sit back? The glasses? There we go. There you go. Well, the reason why this is so popular is in the tech world, and this is, according to the New York Times, so many people are getting laid off, like Twitter and other companies, that it's their stoic farewell and gesture of respect to their colleagues as the ship goes down. And it's just all over Twitter and different platforms. Well, that got said. It's what they post when they get fired.
Starting point is 00:42:51 You go find a new job. Okay. All right. Thank you. So gender reveals sometimes can go terribly wrong. And poor Carrie Underwood. It happened to her, and it was not her fault. She had a show in Salt Lake City, and she agreed to help a family do a gender reveal. But the nurse read the chart wrong and ended up just sharing the gender of the mom instead of the baby. So Carrie's like, it's a girl. Still 50-50 chance. That's right.
Starting point is 00:43:17 Yeah. Even when she messes up there. So I'm guessing it's a story because it's a boy. Yeah, it's a big. Upsie. Yeah, my big Upsie was asking them, because I've done them before, too. My big oopsie was going, all right, what do you want? And I got them, all right, here we go. What would you prefer?
Starting point is 00:43:32 What do you want a boy? It's a girl. Oh, man. I just shouldn't ask. I just should open it and be like, yeah. Yeah, well, but how do they know it was a mess up? Well, the nurse was involved. Like, every, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:43:45 It just got wrong. There's a whole clip on TikTok about it, but it's kind of just, the audience is just confusing. I'm going to search that one out. But Carrie was just, just confusing. But Carrie was just, I'm going to search that one out. But Carrie was just. But Carrie was just sharing on TikTok, like explaining how it all got messed up and she felt really bad. But it was the nurse's fault.
Starting point is 00:43:58 She took ownership. Okay, there you go. I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. Teresa Novak, been a teacher for nearly 30 years, always known as the teacher who gives all to her students.
Starting point is 00:44:17 Now she is donating part of her liver to one of her former students. What? Yeah. Anytime you're going, like I get it. You want to borrow a jacket? Yeah, cool. Even borrow the car, just put gas in and clean it up, you know? But like a liver, a piece of your liver. That's awesome. Yeah. One of Novak's first students when she was in fourth grade back in 1997 was Derek Norton. She works with Derek's sister at Woodridge High School in Peninsula, Ohio and learned that Norton, who is married and has a young son, was suffering from a rare autoimmune condition and needed a transplant.
Starting point is 00:44:49 So, she read about it. She got tested, but didn't say anything about it. Didn't want to build up hope. Got tested. She's matched, and she will be as living donor. The surgery is scheduled for this week. She says family's grateful. She's just doing what she believes is right and what she hopes someone would do for her if she were in the same position.
Starting point is 00:45:06 Quote, you can never predict something like this, but he's one of my kids and he needed me. That's awesome. That's, I mean, that's a liver. And you're the doctor, so tell me, if, like, that's the organ. Eventually our listeners are going to really think I'm a real doctor. Just everybody knows. I'm an honorary doctor. I have an honorary doctor
Starting point is 00:45:22 at the University of Arkansas. So, sure. It's a real, okay, but I'm not... You're the doctor. Okay. You're the doctor. So, I mean, that's the organ you want to donate, right? It goes back.
Starting point is 00:45:33 You regenerate. Like a starfish? Healthily, yes. As long as you're good. And it doesn't always regenerate to the exact same shape-sized condition. Yeah, I knew you'd know. Well, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:45:44 Doctor tell us more. But it does, yes, it does grow. It does hopefully grow back. Right. If you donate a kidney, you don't get that. That does not grow back. That's just an empty space. For rent.
Starting point is 00:45:55 You put a for rent sign in there. Put anything in there you want. You can be a storage unit for something else. Yeah, shout out to Teresa Novak. That's awesome, Teresa. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. This is Denise from Folsom, Louisiana.
Starting point is 00:46:10 Calling to tell you something good. My son was adopted from Kazakhstan and through ancestry DNA. He was able to find a first cousin living. in Baton Rouge, while he was in Baton Rouge, going to LSU. She was also adopted from Kazakhstan four years later from the same orphanage. Now they try to meet each Sunday to go to church together. Anyway, I thought you'd like that. Tell me something good story. That's so cool.
Starting point is 00:46:36 That is so cool. Yeah, thank you for sharing that. If you guys haven't tell me something good, you can always use our voicemail line at any day. Any day, anytime. 877-77 Bobby. That's a great story. Denise, thank you for sharing that. All right, over to Amy with the Morning Corny.
Starting point is 00:46:55 The Morning Corny. What are scientists' favorite dog breed? What are scientists' favorite dog breed? Labs. That's pretty good. That's like two in a row, guys. She's on fire. That was the Morning Corny.
Starting point is 00:47:11 She's gone full NBA jam on us. Wow. She's heating up. She's on fire. The ball's flaming. She can't miss. Dang, good job. You want to do a country music secret?
Starting point is 00:47:20 Ray has one. Oh, yes. Like a new one or an update? Like an update about the divorce? He's got some. He's been... Ray, do it. It's a new one, right?
Starting point is 00:47:29 Yeah. Okay. I forgot about those that never come true. Go ahead. Ray Mundo's country music secrets. So a massive pop artist is coming out with a country album. Which means we could potentially have this person in studio. The album's going to be released sometime next year.
Starting point is 00:47:49 It's been rumored in the past before They had an album called One of something And it was supposed to be country And it never ended up being country No idea how that happened But this one, for sure Because I've been told the country musicians
Starting point is 00:48:04 Have been contacted They've been studio sessions In country Uh Here's my question Is it a pop artist Its career's going down? Because what happens is when their careers going down
Starting point is 00:48:15 They're like well I'll just go try something country So is it someone who's a career's going down Are they still a massive, massive star? No, this is one of the biggest pop stars in America. Okay, is it Taylor Swift? Because she's obviously remained in country. It is not Taylor Swift. Okay.
Starting point is 00:48:29 Okay. And it's in America, so it's not Harry Stiles. Is it Katie Perry? That's what I thought Amy too. That would make a little bit of sense. I mean, she has that song with Thomas Red. And she was here at the awards. But even how she grew up, and she was a Christian artist before she turned into Katie Perry.
Starting point is 00:48:46 But okay. Oh. Ray? That's a good one. I guess it's good, though, to keep it secret the exact person. That's probably why it's called a country music secret, right? Because, well, I'm telling you, this would make massive news. Nobody else, I googled it, is saying anything about this country album.
Starting point is 00:49:00 And it's one of the biggest stars right now, period. Not someone whose star is diminishing. No, you could almost say this person for a Super Bowl. Okay, got it. Super Bowl. That's easy. Okay, Ray, thank you very much, buddy. Yep.
Starting point is 00:49:13 It's pretty cool. I'm always torn on people doing a country record. If they are still killing it and they do one, that's good because it's not like they're going, well, let me just throw some crap at the wall. Yeah. I like it. Like when Diplo did a country album,
Starting point is 00:49:26 I liked it. It was his take on it. When a star, if he's saying, it's really big, if they were, like, I have such a passion for it. I'm going to see how it. I like that. I don't like it. It's like, well, everything else is not going good.
Starting point is 00:49:37 So let me try it. Okay, Ray, thank you. Yep. There you go. Anytime we see a scam that's thrown to us or on the internet, we share it.
Starting point is 00:53:29 We call it, scam alert! We don't want you falling for this. So we have two, and both are from Amy. Of course. I got them both yesterday. Boy, they're targeting her. They know. Big time. The algorithm says scam her.
Starting point is 00:53:43 What's the first one? The first one is, Amy, are you looking for additional? income, you can earn $1,600 per week as a store evaluator in your area. Click here for details. That would be the greatest job. That would be fun. And $1.500 a week. Think about that for a second.
Starting point is 00:54:00 Let's just say it's $1,500. Okay? And so do that times four weeks. So that's $6,000. You're basically making $70,000 just going to the store. I love that. That would be the greatest job. Like a secret shopper.
Starting point is 00:54:11 Did you click the link? No. Good. Because we all have made me very aware of all. the things. I've started to not even, because you know, we have a group, Google Doc, where we all share things together. And I used to copy and paste the whole thing and put it on there. And then it would... I said you were giving us viruses. And then the big yellow banner would say, this file looks suspicious. And it was always from you. Every time. So I've stopped adding the links.
Starting point is 00:54:36 Well, we have our own that you're not on. So you keep posting on that one. All right. Next one is from Venmo, which we all use a lot. So, I mean, this one I pay attention to. Your Venmo account has been suspended because we've detected suspicious activity on your account. That's good because I would go like, oh, somebody's hacked my Venmo. Oh, no. Right. So I'm paying attention. It says, recover your Venmo account immediately by clicking the link below.
Starting point is 00:55:01 Please take action on your account within 48 hours to avoid permanent suspension. Best regards, Venmo Inc. And it's from Venmo Incorporated. Is that the name of the company? Venmo Inc. I don't know. I wouldn't even look it up. I would just be like, oh, God, I've got to get into this.
Starting point is 00:55:16 Right. Someone's got it my password. And you didn't click that one, right? I did not. But I immediately went to my Venmo app and I was still in business. That's how they get people. Yeah. That one especially is good.
Starting point is 00:55:26 Now, where they written, sometimes they do like language mess ups. So, yes, both of them were. I read them as they should have been written. So it's not confusing. But yeah, it's, let me, I'll give you one line. Recovery, your Venmo account immediately by click link below. It's like they're Swedish and they don't quite know English. You like recovery and you go.
Starting point is 00:55:46 Go to store and get recovered, mine. They sound like tourists. Yes, it's like, bro, that ain't how we say it in America. Well, good for you for not clicking. Don't click the link. I'm still not convinced that first one is a scam, though. Click it or ticket. That sounds good.
Starting point is 00:56:01 $600. Yeah, go shopping? Well, it sounds good. It's supposed to sound good. Oh, then they would have got me too. They don't want to give you a bad deal. Okay, that's a scam alert, scam alert. Here is a voicemail we got.
Starting point is 00:56:13 Here we go. I just finished watching the Dallas Cowboys and it got me wondering if you all have decided what you're wearing when you go to the Cowboys game. Just kind of curious. Thank you for that voicemail. A quick update, a quick recap at the same time. So not this weekend, but next weekend, we are going to Dallas, me, diehard cowboy fan Eddie, diehard cowboy fan Mike D. And my wife who grew up a Cowboys fan.
Starting point is 00:56:41 and we're going to go because Jerry Jones has invited us, the owner of the Cowboys, for me to interview him and sit in his box with him and fly us in his chopper. Oh my God. It's just a whole, we can't believe it. It's going to be great. For my football show, 25 whistles.
Starting point is 00:56:57 And so there's an interview, there's a game, and then we're like, what do we wear once we're in Jerry Jones's box? And I saw this weekend people in the box, they were all in suits. They were? They were all in suits. I didn't even look at that. Yeah. They were on suits.
Starting point is 00:57:11 gonna have to wear suits. Yeah, what do you do? Okay, so I have my outfit picked out. Go ahead. So I always wear every game day the same shirt that I bought at Jerry's World at the stadium, I don't know, 15 years ago, and it's old, it's ragged, but I wear it every game day. So I'm superstitious about that.
Starting point is 00:57:29 I will wear that, but over it, I have a blue, like a Cowboys Blue Blazer. And I don't know where jeans with cowboy boots. Jeans is no go, man. What do you mean? What do you mean? I think jeans are cool. jeans? It's Texas. I like it. Yeah. I probably need to see it. The Blazers
Starting point is 00:57:45 is going to look awesome because it's blue and underneath is my raggedy shirt. Is it one of Bobby's old ones? Yeah, for sure. I mean, I don't buy Blazers. Oh, that's cool. Yeah, I think you wore it at one of the awards shows maybe. Does it fit? It's a little snug, but I'm not going to button it. I'm not going to try to button it. Can you just send me a picture? Yeah. Mike, what are you going to wear? Do you know?
Starting point is 00:58:02 Yeah, I've been watching the games too whenever they show the box. I think I have to go suit. Like, full suit, guys. It's never bad in a situation to be overdressed. It's always uncomfortable and awkward to be underdressed. So if you're on ever, not just the situation, any line you always want to be a little more over than under, because that's okay. But if you show up on a wife eater, that ain't.
Starting point is 00:58:22 With spaghetti sauce on it. Yes, that ain't. But like Eddie, I also have a hat that I wear every time they play a game. So I gotta wear it though. That's tough. Well, I mean, it's a, but it's a Cowboys football game. You can wear a Cowboys hat? All I know, nobody had on a lucky cowboy hat when I saw the picture.
Starting point is 00:58:37 No one did? But they probably all... But they're all like investors and money. people, right? They're all business people. Okay, what are you wearing? I don't know. Come on, Bones. Do you have Cowboys gear? I'm not wearing Cowboys gear. Oh, you need to wear Cowboys gear. I mean, you're gonna look, hey, you wore that blue suit to the CMAs.
Starting point is 00:58:55 And it was given to me afterward. I mean, blue. I didn't, I didn't have to pay for it. It's crazy. Cowboys blue? No. It's a light blue, but it's blue. I'm colorblind. So, cowboys. Okay, so that's where we are on that. We don't know what we're doing. Because careful, they're playing the Texans and they're blue too. A Sunday. where they play on Sundays well mostly yeah Sundays so not this Sunday but the next Sunday oh my gosh this Sunday um in Vegas
Starting point is 00:59:21 doing comedically inspirational at the win and lunchbox wants to pimp some joy here yeah so since the show has been moved to Sunday the wife and I can't go so I have two tickets on row M if anybody wants them I'm just gonna give them away why do you have tickets why did why did you buy tickets you know you can have tickets to anything ever well I don't know I was just trying to have a fun weekend with
Starting point is 00:59:41 wife, surprise, they're Vegas, you guys were going to be there. And I was like, oh, it'll be funny. If I told her, I got tickets to a show, got tickets to a show. But did you buy them? Yeah. But why? I don't know. I didn't. We don't buy anything. Yeah. That's weird. And also, it's like, we went to Vegas for the company to do IHart Festival. And lunchbox went on a whole different plane. He bought a ticket and he flew on like, Frontier or something. We're like, what is he doing? Why is he buying plane tickets when the company would buy them?
Starting point is 01:00:04 Yeah, I didn't think he would be able to give me tickets since it was going to sell out. you're going to be like, no, we don't have any tickets. So I got two tickets on Ro M. We're not going to go because we don't have anybody to watch the kids and being Sunday night show. I didn't know how it worked. So if anybody wants to go to the show, slide into the DMs. Okay, yeah, we'll do it in the Bibone Show account.
Starting point is 01:00:21 Yep. Okay, yeah, row M. Okay, you've said that. There you go. All that stuff. Yes, thank you. Lunchbox is very nice of you. Yeah, what up?
Starting point is 01:00:27 Christmas Spirit. Give me some credit. You're nailing it. And who's a nice guy, this guy. This guy. This guy. Who's got two thumbs and does a nice thing? Lunchbox.
Starting point is 01:00:36 A voicemail from Carrie in Pennsylvania. I just want to let you know. I watch Snake in the Grass over the weekend, the first four or five episodes. What a great show. Like, I highly recommend it for everybody. And I feel like each episode has like a twist and turn. What a great show. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:00:52 Snake in the Grass. My show is on Peacot now. All eight episodes. I would love it if you watched it because if you don't, maybe nobody will. I don't know. And so I just don't want to be embarrassed. And they're like, okay, how do we do this week? Nobody, not one stream.
Starting point is 01:01:04 Not one. Wait, no, no. Maybe you didn't see the number. No, not one stream. No one. And then in my head, lonely, I'm so low. So on peacock, snake in the grass. Please watch.
Starting point is 01:01:18 It's like my job depends on it. Next, in like 10 minutes, we'll have Tyler Florence on, Celebrity Chef. It's been on TV for like 20 years. I'm for sure going hard on A1 sauce. Oh, yeah. I just can't take it anymore. People judging me for A1 on steaks. So let's get a chef on.
Starting point is 01:01:32 I like Tyler Florence. But I'm going at it. A1 sauce on. steak. I don't care how good the steak is. It makes it better. Well, I mean, no, but some chefs disagree with that. Yeah, yeah, but we'll see, we'll see. We'll battle it out in a second. Time for the news.
Starting point is 01:01:46 Bobby's Big. Stories. An unruly Southwest Airlines passenger who tried to open the aircraft's door mid-flight claim that Jesus told her to do it. No. Oh my gosh. Southwest. There's the issue with this. I'd like to just say a couple things.
Starting point is 01:02:01 You can't prove Jesus didn't tell her to do it. The same way, you can't prove that Jesus didn't tell somebody to run for governor. Yeah, but... When they're like, you know, Jesus told me to do it. No, no, no, no. We can't prove that Jesus did or didn't. Right, but WWJD does not want to put people in risk on a plane.
Starting point is 01:02:16 I don't know. I don't know what's happened. I don't think Jesus did, but I also don't think Jesus tells us politicians to run either. I think they go, I can say this, and some people will believe it, and some people won't question it because then they'll look like they're not a believer. Correct. No, politician, you're just saying it. So you can get that group of people to just blindly walk in,
Starting point is 01:02:35 you regardless of what you believe really so you know what maybe jesus told her to we got to be consistent all i'm saying if you're going to believe jesus told a politician to run because of it then you got to believe jesus told her too although this person did bite somebody as well so that's a thing yeah yeah yeah it's a little slightly different but i stand about my statement well what if the politician what if anomaly here they prayed about it and they really felt like this was their calling to run for you don't have to tell us then you just do it okay that's true yeah then you know what you're calling what you're No, right, and you don't have to use it as a way to get votes for something that you're doing personally for you.
Starting point is 01:03:10 You're using Jesus to push along your agenda, your better life, your job that you want. I think I have voices in my head constantly. I don't even tell you guys about them. Who are they from? Jesus? Well, sometimes it's George Carlin. It could be Jesus. It's just people talk to me randomly.
Starting point is 01:03:27 My grandma, you know, who knows? But yeah, that stinks for all those people because you're on a plane and somebody's trying to open that door. No, and we all fly Southwest. Like, that's what we fly the most. And it's weird because you don't hear about Southwest flights having issues. But they can't open it, right? Like, we've already figured that out. I don't think so.
Starting point is 01:03:44 They say you can't. But I don't, it's really not a risk. Like it's not physically possible. But they say that. But someone that's claiming Jesus and then also biting people's noses, they probably have like superhuman strength even for just a minute. Yeah, true. They get that adrenaline pumping.
Starting point is 01:03:57 The exact number of friends you need, according to researchers, like close friends, is five. close friends. I was thinking about this, and I have a difference in close friends. Like I have close friends I have close friends I would also like give an organ to.
Starting point is 01:04:12 For example, Amy and I don't hang out as much. She's got kids in a whole lot. But if you ever needed a kidney or if you needed anything, I don't care. All my money, a kidney, you'd have it in a heartbeat. I would consider us close friends
Starting point is 01:04:22 even though we don't spend nearly as much time together as we used to when we were younger. Right. Where Eddie and I spent all kinds of time together and I felt like if I gave him a kidney, he'd sell it himself to keep the profit
Starting point is 01:04:33 Not if I needed it though If I needed it, I'd use it I don't know, I don't know buddy Your gambling's not been very good lately I've lost a lot of games But I was thinking I don't have five But then I think I do Because of that rule
Starting point is 01:04:44 Yeah Obviously you And I put Mike up in that super close And we're all on the show friends At different levels I mean we all can't be best friends But I put Mike in that list And that's where I stop
Starting point is 01:04:59 I start crying Oh wait whoa whoa Come on man Keep going I got my friend Andy who I don't talk to a whole lot but I talked to him last night and it's like I would do it doesn't matter he's like I'm broken down I have a flat tire and I'm in China and I'm like well if there's any country
Starting point is 01:05:15 other than China I'd be there China can't do that China's a little tough but yeah your wife count I don't think she counts because she is my best friend she is your best friend yes but I see her naked right although I've seen Eddie naked too a couple times yeah one in the world hey man we're close quarters Hey, when you tour together, you do more together. No, no, when you tour together, there's no reason to take your underwear off. Hey, what happens on tour?
Starting point is 01:05:40 Stay's on tour, right? No, it's an accident. Nothing like happened. Also, when we were way younger, like 20-something, Bobby, didn't you with your guy friends? Like, you'd have guys over to play cards. And I'd walk out naked. I'd streak my own party. Oh, I would knock on his hotel door or whatever, and he'd open the door butt-naked.
Starting point is 01:05:58 I'm not ashamed of body parts. I wish my body parts were better. looking, but if it's a dude, it's just funny. I wasn't at those things, by the way. I need to clarify it was a guy's night. If it's a dude, it's comedy. Right. If it's mixed company or children, it's, you have to register yourself. Yeah, you're going to jail. That ain't me. You know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:20 Lunch is going to hate this story. Lunchbox, this story's for you. Dwayne the Rock Johnson visits 7-Eleven where he used to shoplift as a kid to write the wrong. He's so stupid. This is so dumb. It isn't dumb. I like it. We have audio from the video of him going on 7. Oh, here we go. Go ahead. I have been waiting decades to do what I'm getting ready to do now. Where's your snickers?
Starting point is 01:06:40 When I was 14 years old, every day I used to stop here at the 7-Eleven and steal a king-sized snicker bar because I couldn't afford to buy one. That was my pre-workout food. I did that for almost a year every day. I had to come back and buy every Snickers bar on those shelves. What's your name? BK. Ring all these up. How much is 98?
Starting point is 01:07:00 That's just for you. Thank you so much. I appreciate you. I'm going to leave these here. After decades of me wanting to come back home to 7-Eleven and try and make good, that felt really, really good. I like it. It's awesome.
Starting point is 01:07:15 Are you good? That is serious? Yeah. Yeah, we are. He was waiting decades to do that guys. He could have done that. To go back home. He doesn't live there anymore.
Starting point is 01:07:22 He could have done that with his first paycheck. You're right. But he didn't. Maybe he's been like. No, he needed to be. There's no need to hate on it. There's just isn't. It's a fun story.
Starting point is 01:07:30 Nobody got hurt. The guy got tipped working there. It's fun. It's like, the guy working there, he's like, The rock would kick your butt. No way. You think? You would never say it with him anywhere near you.
Starting point is 01:07:41 Here's the thing. That guy working there, he's like, what? I don't care. Like, I didn't work here then. No, I think I was like, oh my God, you're the rock. Yeah. You just wouldn't say this stuff to the rock. Yeah, I would.
Starting point is 01:07:50 Bring him in. Okay. Please, can we get him? Can you imagine? He would snap your head off. We need one headlock. One headlock. One headlock.
Starting point is 01:07:56 One headlock. Because that's who he talks to the most trash about. Right. You ever see Night at the Rocksbury where they put somebody in the middle of them and their heads? That's a shack in the rock and they would just smush him. Next up is big. The U.S. advances to the knockout round with a 1-0 victory over Iran soccer yesterday.
Starting point is 01:08:14 And we don't have to fall into the Iran regime, which I thought was going to happen. Thank goodness. What a great day. Cool. You know, I watched the whole match. And I will watch soccer during Olympic or World Cup U.S. only so I don't watch World Cup last time because we didn't make it. Here's a thing. soccer if you don't know soccer really well is very boring.
Starting point is 01:08:34 But as I'm watching it, I'm going, people that don't know baseball have to think that's the worst sport ever. Because if you don't know baseball, it could be very boring. Oh, yeah. So it's just what you know and what you grew up around. Growing up in a small town in Arkansas, we didn't have soccer, but I can enjoy the U.S. playing, but I'm just always like, score a goal.
Starting point is 01:08:53 Like, oh, wait, now the ball's going the other way. We didn't even get to the goal. Yeah, why did they stop that? It's like, wait, so, but it was fun. and Chris, uh, Polisik. Polisic, like, kicked right in the nuts. Oh, yeah, man. I thought he rushed his spleen.
Starting point is 01:09:08 He had an injure and he went to the hospital. But he scored the goal. He did score the goal. That's awesome. And then after the match, he tweeted, great job, I'll see, I'll be there for Sunday. How does he know he's going to be there? He's in the hospital.
Starting point is 01:09:19 I think he's just being hopeful. I don't know, but I mean, he couldn't even walk. He got back out there and played for another eight minutes and then they said, half time, buddy, we're going to the hospital. It's awesome. But did that, was that? that goal right before half? Yeah, it was like eight minutes before. Was it an accident or did they do it on purpose?
Starting point is 01:09:34 No, no, he did on purpose. He made it and then he just kept falling into the goal. And the goalie, boom, oh, it was a collision. And he grabbed right in his midsection and I was like, oh, he was like screaming bloody murder. Hey, so what does knockout mean? Like, what do we do now? You win you, you're right? When you go to the eight? No, you win, you don't go home. I said win or go home.
Starting point is 01:09:52 Oh, got it, or go home. Okay. I like that game. And go home on this show. If I can win a game, I go home, 10 minutes into the show. So if it ends in a tie, they have to shoot out. Yeah, they do a penalty. They do the thing. Then they do extra time. Then they do penalty.
Starting point is 01:10:06 Right. I love that. Why do I know soccer? It is so awesome, man. I went through it because we're going to play the Netherlands. Yes. Which is also. Holland.
Starting point is 01:10:16 There you go. Yeah. And they were in a great band called. Hall of notes. Correct. Now, here's the thing. Holland. What's really?
Starting point is 01:10:23 Not really. What are you talking about? Holland's really good. They're really good. Really good. Okay. And who would think that Holland would beat us at anything other than oats? Is Amsterdam in Netherlands, Holland?
Starting point is 01:10:38 I don't know. I believe it is. All right. So that's what we need to do. Give them a little home. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. They come out floating. Although, if that's legal there, it's probably not a big deal to them as much.
Starting point is 01:10:48 Probably not. It's just like a six-pack. A time traveler. What do you got there, Mike? Is it? Amsterdam is in the Netherlands? which is also Holland. They're going to be feeling good.
Starting point is 01:11:01 Another time traveler is turned up on TikTok. He is claiming to know who wins the World Cup in three weeks. You want to hear it? Yeah. Okay. He has footage of the television showing the crowd of the match. He says it'll be a two to one win by Brazil over France. Is there audio or no?
Starting point is 01:11:19 Just that story. So he says, and he has footage of it, he says this is what happens in three weeks. The good thing about this one is we'll be here in three weeks probably to actually see if it's true or not. Will the U.S. win the World Cup? Ever? No, this year? No. No chance?
Starting point is 01:11:32 No. If the U.S. does win, would it be a big deal to you? It would be a huge deal to me. I would go crazy. But how is there no chance? How is there no chance? We don't score enough goals. Is it like a junior high team playing in March Madness?
Starting point is 01:11:47 And you're like, oh, there's no chance because they just, you can play thousand times. They're not going to beat those athletes. Yeah, I would say it's like that. I don't think we can beat Brazil or France, those. I mean, we can compete with them for a little while, but I just don't think we can beat them every day. Like, if we had to beat France, then we had to beat Brazil, I just don't think that can happen.
Starting point is 01:12:05 If the U.S. wins the World Cup, will you chop off your pinky toe surgically? Yes. Yes. Okay, here we go. If the United States wins the World Cup, you will remove your pinky toe. Yes.
Starting point is 01:12:17 You have to do this. Say, I launch walks will remove it. I believe him. Yeah, I just said it. What do you want to do? Your own pinky toe on your own foot. Yeah. Which one, right or left?
Starting point is 01:12:25 Definitely my left Okay left pinky toe If the United States Wins the World Cup We'll chop it off Yep No no no no We'll chop it off
Starting point is 01:12:32 And then it'll be fixed surgically quickly Yeah I was picturing He got put under And they removed it We're gonna butcher knife it And then we'll have a doctor
Starting point is 01:12:41 Did you know that before you know No when he said it He said we would surgically remove it Yeah you did Yeah but surgery doesn't have to be In a hospital Okay Sometimes the TV they do surgery on themselves
Starting point is 01:12:50 Do we all get a shot Bobby's the doctor No we'll bring a doctor in to chop it But it has to be with a machete or a butcher knife a butcher thing
Starting point is 01:12:58 yeah and then we were given like 72 cutting boards for our wedding so we'll bring one of those in we'll put your foot there that's good I'm all in
Starting point is 01:13:05 yeah it'll be like eat eat prey love now what is it the little saying they say all the time on the signs
Starting point is 01:13:13 live laugh love on the cutting board yeah so okay go hey it'll be worth it if the USA wins Will Smith says
Starting point is 01:13:22 he understands if people skip his new film over the slap. You know, I'm going to say something about this. Well, Smith did seem like a douche from that slap. But it's not worth one, canceling him or not watching a movie that you already want to watch. There are actors in Hollywood that are bad people. And we celebrate him and watch their show. Well, Smith did something stupid and as dushy, yes. But he didn't hurt. It wasn't like a real life bad thing. So now I'm starting to be on his team because the backlash has gotten
Starting point is 01:13:48 so bad. I'm like, we're out of our mind right now. Are people still upset about that? I mean, I know, I'm wondering, did someone... Companies don't want to work with them. It's basically like a soft cancel. But is it hard to watch a movie where you're... Tom Cruise can still do a movie and we're like, he's great. Look at him fly that jet. He's as nutty as a fruitcake.
Starting point is 01:14:07 Yeah, like I think he's... And I'm cool with it. He's nutty in his own way. I'm good. You be nutty. Don't hurt kids or dogs. We're good. And so it's his right to be nutty.
Starting point is 01:14:16 We live in the USA, the team, the country that's going to cost lunchbox of Pinkytoe. Yeah. And that's nutty. And people should relax on Will Smith. Justice for Will Smith. Smith. I'm not there yet. They really missed a good CMA joke at the
Starting point is 01:14:28 CMA Awards by not having another artist come up and slap Luke. That would have been amazing. Reenact that. I said that before and I thought they might hear it in you. That had been so funny, right? Yes. And it had been so low-hanging fruit and easy,
Starting point is 01:14:40 but how funny would it be if Trace Atkins came up in the middle of a joke, slapped Will Smith? Or the person just kept getting bigger. And he's like, okay, I get the joke. So let's say he's doing the, Luke Bryan's like, hey, welcome to the CMA. and Casey Musgraves walks up
Starting point is 01:14:55 and Casey's pretty small and she's like, Pum, he's like, ha ha, reenacting the joke. And then he keeps going and then somebody a little bigger comes up. Right. It's like Dan's probably six foot in good shape.
Starting point is 01:15:05 Dan from Dan and Chase slaps and boom. And it's like, okay. And then Trace Atkins shows up. Okay, no, no, no. I'm here for the bit. No, no, no. Please don't hit me.
Starting point is 01:15:14 Tell me, I just came up with that right there. That's funny. Isn't that funny? We'll write it down for next year. Well, that'd be too late. Oh. is it ever too late amy i don't know that's from the 90s fireman explains why you shouldn't charge your phone while you sleep
Starting point is 01:15:30 in a post to tic-ttock a firefighter from kent fire rescue says we get a lot of questions on phones and charging it or charging them if you're not at the house leaving them charged if you leave one you can't smell anything when you're asleep so if it starts to burn the fire will not wake you up i did not know you couldn't smell when you sleep oh i guess not if you're asleep apparently you can't smell number two it only takes three three Three breaths, bad, hard breaths to knock you unconscious. If it's like smoke, hard smoke. Number three, lots of people have a cheap or faulty phone charger.
Starting point is 01:15:59 When we talked about this? Yes. They say even though you're saving money, it's bad news to use one of those cheap chargers for your iPhone, even though it works because it is very faulty. And they've been known to start fires. And if you're able to, they'd say charge your phone whenever you're awake. Yeah, right. I only charge my one when I sleep.
Starting point is 01:16:16 We all do. Yeah, I'll take the risk. Not charge it in during the day. All right, that's the news. Thank you. Those were Bobby's Big. Stories. Here's a situation.
Starting point is 01:16:27 We're going to talk to Tyler Florence next. Celebrity chef. And if you don't think I'm going hard on A1 sauce on steaks and why. I'm basically Will Smith because of this. People want to cancel me. Somebody said the state of Arkansas was disowning me. Oh, man. Because I say I need A1 on every steak.
Starting point is 01:16:40 I don't care how good the steak is. So I know what it's like to be canceled over A1. We'll talk to Tyler Florence about that and some other really cool food questions. We got a big famous chef on. Next. Starting point is 01:20:24 He's got a new show on Fox coming up. He's got many restaurants. He has been a food network guy and star for 26 years. I mean, the guy has done it all. I struggle boiling water. But not Tyler Florence. Let's talk about food. He's got a podcast called Two Dudes in a Kitchen.
Starting point is 01:20:44 Here he is. Chef Tyler Florence. On the Bobby Bones show now. Tyler Florence. Hey, Tyler, big fan. Glad you're here. I want to lead with a question, a food question that is quite controversial for me.
Starting point is 01:20:58 I love A1 sauce, and I think every steak, regardless of how good the meat is, can be made better with A1 sauce. Your reaction? I don't love A1, but I get to say, what I do like about it
Starting point is 01:21:10 is the tamarin inside A1 because it has a nice, bright acidity to it. And I think that's what you might be responding to is like that vinegar kick. Right. Even, let's just say it's not A1. It could be anything. It could be sauce beat.
Starting point is 01:21:24 If I say I love a sauce, I get all the people on Instagram. My DM's going, a real steak don't need no sort of burr, burr, burr. So how do you feel about that? Does a real steak need burr, burr, burr, burr? Well, here's the deal. As a guy who owns a steakhouse in San Francisco, I would agree with that statement. I think a really good steak needs nothing. So at our restaurant, Miller and Lux, we're at the Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors.
Starting point is 01:21:50 We just had our one-year anniversary, and we're on the short list for Michelin Star this year. And I think our steak program is pretty special, and we've been working on for a long time. And, you know, it's about like the quality of the meat. It's about the marbling, and I really love a good drag stick. So all of our stakes are of a 45-day dryage, and that would you get this really beautiful aroma to it? kind of highlights the meat naturally. So let's just put that aside. Let's just talk about your A1 for a second.
Starting point is 01:22:18 Because I think that's kind of an interesting sort of condiment that could really kind of fit in the gaps more between like horse radish, you know, a whipped crimfresh and horseradish or like horseroy. You get a prime rib at a prime rib joint, salsa verde, chimie churry. I think there's lots of like really good sauces that make steak taste fantastic. But I think what you might be responded to my friend is that nice kind of vinegar kick. that the A1 sauce has. And I think it makes the steak taste fresh. Am I responding to the fact that I am a hillbilly? No, man.
Starting point is 01:22:53 Listen, I grew up in the South too, brother. I grew up in South Carolina. I get, you know, it's like there's sometimes like really great steak sauce is something delicious. But in A1, I think is particularly tasty. But I think if you get a really good steak, as a matter of fact, if you give me your address, bro to bro, bro to you, I'm going to send you steak this afternoon. I'll put one in the mail to you. And listen, Tyler, I love you. I've been watching you on TV forever, but I just want to say this.
Starting point is 01:23:16 Let's imagine you have a perfect day, Tyler. You wake up in the morning, the weather's great. Let's just say your hobby is just bear with me. You love to play golf, so you play golf. You have a great lunch. You go and you watch your favorite team. You watch the Golden State War. The day is perfect.
Starting point is 01:23:30 Couldn't be any better. But then, by the way, added your perfect day, you get a massage. A1 is that massage. Like, I've already got the perfect steak. A massage just makes it better. It doesn't take away from it? A1, it's like a squeeze of lemon juice. You know, it's like, if something really, all right, here's the deal.
Starting point is 01:23:46 There's nothing wrong with, listen, if you like A1, I like A1, right? Like if somebody walks in my restaurant and I'm not necessarily making this comparison to you like an A1 sauce, but if somebody wants their steak well done, I'm okay with it. You know what I mean? Like, I just want you to be happy. And if you like what you like, there's no controversy here with you like an A1 steak sauce on your steak. If that makes you happy, my friend, that makes me happy. And I think it makes a world a better place.
Starting point is 01:24:11 Well, then, okay, two things. medium well. I do like a medium well steak with A1. And why do I feel shame then when I, and why do I feel like asking under my breath at restaurants I go to and be like, hey man, you got any A1 and you can put it in a different kind of jar if you don't have the bottle. Like why do I feel that shame, Tyler? Well, we do not have A1 and we have like really nice like dimmy gloss. We're fancy, it's a fancy restaurant. But, but listen, if we had it or I tell you what, if you walk to my restaurant and you wanted it and I had someone free that could run to like a local grocery store, get it for you. I would do that, man, because I think it's what hospitality is all that. So,
Starting point is 01:24:47 you walk into my restaurant, dude, like whatever you want, we're thrilled that you're there. Your money is green, my friend, and we want to celebrate you in our restaurant. We're grateful for you to be there. And so whatever it takes to make you happy, we want to live in my place. And I deserve it. If you like A1, if you like A1's thoughts, hallelujah, my friend. I think A1 is a great conament. It's a great American convent. I and it deserve to be celebrated. So we'll move off that right now. Tyler Florence, celebrity chef, is a lot of on with us, which by the way, at Tyler Florence, I got more things to talk to you about, but first, I do want to talk about two dudes in a kitchen, the podcast. So tell me about this
Starting point is 01:25:21 podcast. Are you and Wells doing this about food, or is it about life, or is it about people in The Bachelor that eat food? What's the deal here? Well, you know, it kind of like, you know, moves around every episode. We start off with food and then where we kind of end up usually ends up being about something kind of fun, funny about life. We just crack each other up. I've known Wells for a couple of years. He was a contestant on work. cooks in America on Food Network, and that's where we got to know each other, and we've been buddies ever since. And, you know, we were always kind of kicking around the idea about let's just do a podcast together. And then it just sort of popped up a conversation. It would be
Starting point is 01:25:55 like two dudes in a kitchen, and we'll just, you know, talk about anything and everything. It always starts off with food and then kind of where we go ends up, you know, some kind of fun place. But we get together once a week and we just have a great time with it. It's fun. Two dudes in a kitchen, which I have friends that are artists and, you know, pretty, it's to about celebrating, pretty celebrated artists. And if they're at a party or they're at a gathering, people are always like, hey, get a guitar and sing. Do you have to cook everywhere, Tyler? Are they just expect to you if there's some sort of heat source that you're going to whip them up something? That's my superpower. If I couldn't do that, I would probably get kicked
Starting point is 01:26:27 off the island. That's my jam. You know, people love it when I cook. I'm glad that I can provide some, you know, fantastic sort of service to like my friends and family, especially around the holidays, like I crushed Thanksgiving, my friend. Absolutely crushed it. What did you do for Thanksgiving? Had steak with A1 and then I celebrated all that. Meadee well. That's great for everybody.
Starting point is 01:26:54 It's great for everybody. Okay. You know, we had like 35 people over here at the house and it was just so much fun. And that's just my jam, dude. I love to do it. You know, I've been cooking for a really, really long time. And we've never gotten better, man. Tyler Florence is on.
Starting point is 01:27:09 And I have not asked a guest this next. question because they are not experts in this craft like you are. But I didn't get married until I was 40, like a year or so ago. So it was never in a real serious relationship, never got married until recently. So I did a lot of single guy things my whole life because I was single. And I would do the show or I would tour, I'd be on the road doing comedy or music. So I lived a life where I was home for a couple days and out. And I would occasionally buy chicken and I'd freeze the chicken. Now sometimes, because I wasn't planning ahead and I wasn't a very good cook and I never learned to cook, I would forget I needed to thaw the chicken.
Starting point is 01:27:41 So I would take a shower and put the chicken in the floor of the shower to thaw the chicken real quick. No, that's not a true story. That's not a, that. Is it that bad that might be a... You thought chicken out. Like, like, it was your pet and you were kind of given in a bath or something like that. Like, you had a dog, if you said my dog and I got in the shower at the same time because I was running late and you need a bath, I would say, okay, you can make that make sense, man, you know? But if you're going to, you're thawing chicken out with like your bare feet and the shower.
Starting point is 01:28:08 I wouldn't eat that for a couple of reasons, man. You know what I mean? I think there's got to be a separation between, like, church and state about where you thaw things out. I think it's got to be two separate places altogether. You can't really make those things. I don't know, man. Well, how did it turn out for you? I think that's a better question.
Starting point is 01:28:27 I don't know because I'm not a good cook and it was fine. But I guess I just wondered if that's okay. Because that was the quickest way for me to thaw the chicken I thought. And it just ended under the hot water that took a shower. Is that not, for the chicken, let's say, let's take the health concern. Yes. Can I do that? Yeah. I, I, you know, I don't know, man. I'd have to take out the health co policy of, you know, your jurisdiction, you know, with restaurants.
Starting point is 01:28:57 And is that particularly safe? But I would say no, between you and me, my friend, I would say that's probably not, you know, the most sanitary place to be, you know, you know, thawing out, something you're going to put in your stomach. I would probably pass on that. Probably tell you putting like a nice clean sink with a stopper in it, right? And kind of, you know, fill the sink halfway full with like lukewarm, tempted water. And then, and then float the chicken in that. Now, I'm assuming you left in the package.
Starting point is 01:29:27 Yeah, I'm assuming you left in the package, yeah. You left in the package, right? So are these like boneless, skinless chicken brush you're talking about? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, in the package. Those thought, yeah, those thought pretty fast anyway, right? Right. And so I think I would maybe try a different strategy. Next time, my friend, you know, if you really, if you really in that much of a hurry, or you can just like order out, you know, you could dig take your A1 steak sauce, you know, go hit up, you know, some great restaurant. It's got bono scone's chicken breasts. I would probably pass on that one. I feel like I can be made fun of. That's okay. You know what? I ask a question.
Starting point is 01:29:59 No, I made fun of. It's all right. Hey, I bring a guy on who knows and I get told I don't know anything. So it is what it is. Okay. Help me with this one. What the heck? Why do I have a box of bacon powder in my refrigerator? What's the point? Baking soda. Oh, whatever it is. I don't even know what it is. What do I say? But I thought you said baking. You said powder, baking soda, a box of it. Yeah, what does that do? There's a difference, right? So baking soda and acts as a filter and it absorbs like the odors in your refrigerator.
Starting point is 01:30:35 It actually does a really, really good job of that. And so if you're, if you, certainly I think it might be time to clean out your refrigerator if you, if you need that. But if you have like, you know, chopped onions and chopped garlic or leftovers or, you know, or take it out. And sometimes your fridge might smell a little bit. Putting a box of baking soda in your refrigerator can't absorb the motors and sort of, you know, alleviates or diminishes some of the smells. But I think it might be kind of washing your refrigerator out, like take your out and just kind of nice little bucket of hot soapy water. maybe you're thawing the chicken in the same hot soapy water. Maybe you're not.
Starting point is 01:31:10 Maybe you are. Saving the environment. Saving the environment. Yeah, doing two things at the same time. But I think that's what that's for. It just absorbs odors in a refrigerator and, you know, so everything smells nice or fresh. Tyler Florence, on with us.
Starting point is 01:31:26 Now, there was a lady who's suing Kraft because she says she got that mac and cheese box, and it said three minutes, start to finish, but she said it takes longer than that. She's suing her for $5 million. dollars. Your thoughts on this lawsuit? I think it's gangster. I think that's a, you know, everybody should hold, you know, the recipe should be tested first, first and foremost. So for $5 million worth of pain, you know, for two additional minutes, I think that's, you know, that's, that's, that's, $500,000 a minute per minute. Or her pain. I think that is that's, that's, that's, that is
Starting point is 01:31:58 fair. I agree. I think that is worth it, you know. Okay. That's that's what that's what I charge that you $2,500,500,000 a minute that that pasta takes longer to cook than what's set on the box. I'm going to help you now. I think that's fair. You've helped me. I'm going to help you. Justifiable. At your restaurant. And it don't say cereal. Don't say cereal. But there's a need for breakfast soup. And no one's cornered that market on breakfast soup. And I'm willing to let you have this at your restaurant. Why is there not a breakfast soup? Well, I think it might be called a smoothie? Is a smoothie a soup? A smoothie is actually, I'm glad you asked, a smoothie is a drinkable, yeah, a drinkable soup. You know, with, with, you can put, you can put bananas in it.
Starting point is 01:32:44 We're debating it. That's how, that's how, no one owns breakfast soup. So I'm, so I'm giving this gift to, I'm, I'm a fan, I've been waiting for this moment. You can have breakfast soup at your restaurant. Breakfast soup. I think, yeah, you know, I'm, I'm going to, I'm going to put it into the R&D filter this week. I'm going to start coming up some really, really, really good ideas around that. I like where you're going on that. I mean, it could be fresh fruit. It could be a smoothie. Like the world may have already jumped on that one. What do you think? I'm asking my wife here, breakfast suit. Is that a smoothie? No, a smoothie is a smoothie. A smoothie is a smoothie, but, but do you, but do you, but do you drink it? Could you, could you,
Starting point is 01:33:22 you can't, you don't drink as soon? You might eat it with spent. Okay. Nobody takes me seriously. But they also didn't take other, they didn't take Einstein seriously either, did they? Oh, no. Exactly. Yeah, I mean, the whole theory of relativity, thawing out chicken. They laughed out of it. You know, it's the same thing. Okay.
Starting point is 01:33:39 I got three more questions here. Tyler Florence, celebrity chef. Look is laughing now. Yeah, exactly. He's dead. Okay, here we go. Number one. Why does food taste better when someone else cooks it?
Starting point is 01:33:50 Because you're nice and relaxed. You know, the pressure is off for you having to perform in front of people. You know, I always think like the best milk had a week is one that I didn't actually make, you know, regardless what it is. You know, like we get invited to, you know, dinner parties and then people come over to our house,
Starting point is 01:34:07 especially in a restaurant, and I've heard that some people feel intimidated when I come over to their house for dinner because, like, what are they going to make? And dude, I can't tell you, I like steak with A1.
Starting point is 01:34:18 I like breakfast soup. Yep. I like, you know, these things are just like, you know, regular common everyday folk food. I like that kind of thing.
Starting point is 01:34:26 I'm grateful for it. I'm happy to have it. But I think, when somebody else makes it and you're nice and relax and you can be grateful for it and enjoy it, I think that's a pretty nice thing. Yeah, I'd agree with that. Although I do feel like I've been made fun of this entire interview. I've really come to the table with some great ideas here. It's okay. These are great ideas, man. All these are great ideas. Some of the great. So, what do you, what do you, what's your favorite dish do you like to make?
Starting point is 01:34:52 Uber Eats. I don't cook. I try. There you go. Yeah, my friend. See, my wife's a great cook. I tell you what's great. I'm glad you asked for my advice, Tyler. Thank you for asking them. You ever heard a little something called an air fryer? I do. I have. I don't have one, but I'm a big fan of air friars. I think it worked out really well. I can make, I make peaches in them and an air friar with peaches and they are amazing and I put them in my breakfast soup. So these are these are frozen peaches I'm assuming, right? Straight out of the bag. Or from the tree. Oh my gosh. You put, no. I think you're making this up. So fresh peaches, bro. Fresh peaches. Yes, I cut them. You slice them. Yes, I slice them. You slice them.
Starting point is 01:35:31 And I take parchment. I do slice them. Show me how you slice it. Like this. Show me how you slice it. Do that one more time. Just straight down the middle. Like any way.
Starting point is 01:35:38 Yeah. And then I take parchment paper and I put it down. I put the peaches on there. Then I air fry them. And then I pull them out and I drizzle a little honey on top of them. And voila. Walla. There's chef's kiss.
Starting point is 01:35:49 You boom. Just like that. Okay. Beautiful. Next question. Name one other chef you could beat up. I could. There's probably a bunch of chefs.
Starting point is 01:35:56 I can physically beat up. Just one. Probably. Probably. I don't know if I'd want to. I'd just come to shove because this is so much beef around it. But there's so many great people in the industry. There's so many amazing chefs out there. And especially with like Instagram right now,
Starting point is 01:36:16 like America's got the best group of chefs it's ever had. You know, people share information every single day. And you'll see a culinary trend like pop up in New York. And then, you know, a chef in L.A. we'll do a riff on it and then it kind of bounce back and forth and you see these sort of trends. So I think the community is like is better than ever. And I don't know if we'd have to throw hands to like settle an argument. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:36:42 I mean, I don't think it would have to the point. Could you beat up Salt Bay? He is so, he's fit, man. Have you seen his videos? Yeah. Yeah. I've seen it. I've seen his video.
Starting point is 01:36:52 Do you, well, I don't, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know if he's supposed to. I haven't had a food in his restaurant. And I've had, I've heard mixed reviews. views over the quality of what it is for how much cost. Sounds like some hands are getting thrown. Right.
Starting point is 01:37:07 He might come after you. Listen, yeah, I train jihitsu, you know, push to come to shove. If I had to get like an arm bar, you know what I mean, and put some salt on it or go for like a rear naked choke, I think I could probably make that happen. The show Special Forces on Fox January 4th. What? Because again, I like you, Tyler. And that's why I wanted John here, because I had a lot of stuff I knew I could ask
Starting point is 01:37:29 you and you would be fun to talk with. about it. What is special forces and how is it different than the other 20 years you've been on my TV? Well, this show that Fox invited me to be on last, God, last spring. We talked about it for maybe like three or four weeks. And my first impression was like, I'm good. You know, I don't know. And then the more I thought about it, like this sounds like the adventure of a lifetime. So we went to the Middle East. We filmed it in Jordan. We were there for about three weeks. And it was myself and 16 other celebrities. Dr. Drupinski, you know, Cardi, not Cardi, Melby, you know, like so many other amazing, like, talent.
Starting point is 01:38:11 And we got put to the paces with a British Special Forces team. And it is no joke. It was the scariest thing ever done in my life. Like absolutely hardcore, real. Like, there's no cameras. There's no rules. there's no trailer, there's no masseuse, there's no assistant, there's no cup of coffee, there's no nothing.
Starting point is 01:38:32 Like you sleep with, you sleep and do everything next to, you know, other people that are in your bunks. There's 108 degrees every day. And it was absolutely brutal, but it is fantastic television. It's fantastic television. You got to check it out. You got to watch it. Like, like we're, you know, like climbing ropes that, you know, like a hundred feet off the ground.
Starting point is 01:38:55 you know, like doing back dives out of helicopters into the Red Sea, like real, like, survival stuff. Like, you're running with a 30-pound rucksack and loose sand, and it's 100 degrees outside. It was just absolutely brutal, man. Yeah, I did two episodes of running while with Bear Girls. Your sounds light. Well, I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. That show looked brutal.
Starting point is 01:39:16 I saw the clubs. Now, my show, listen, it was just me and Bear. Didn't, yeah, didn't Bear get popped? Like, like, going to sleep in a hotel. Wasn't that the big controversy in the show? a couple years ago. I wish. I wish we slept in a hotel. Maybe he got popped before because we didn't get to. We got punished, I guess, for whatever he got popped for. Okay, look, Tyler, big fan. I do want to talk about Macy's for a second because they're the reason that we're going to talk to you today.
Starting point is 01:39:41 So first of all, what do you guys do for Christmas? You know, we're going to Hawaii for Christmas. I'm opening two new restaurants. I'm opening up Miller and Luck Steakhouse and Hawala Life, the Four Seasons, which is going to be so much fun, just North Dakota. And they were also opening. a Miller and Lux and Vail at the four seasons of Vail. So we're going to be doing some bouncing around. I got lots of flights. I'm actually leaving tomorrow from Vail.
Starting point is 01:40:03 And it's going to be really, really exciting. So it's myself, the family, my wife, are three children. The grandparents are coming to everybody. And we're going to be on the big island of Hawaii. Man, what a lie. For Christmas. What a lie. And what do you give someone?
Starting point is 01:40:19 It ain't bad. It ain't bad, my thing. What do you, because I would expect the greatest gift from you? because you're, you know, rich. So what do you give is gifts? Well, you know, it's got to be something from the kitchen. It's definitely my lane. And Macy's has so much to choose from when it comes to putting together your kitchen for the holidays
Starting point is 01:40:41 or if you're looking for great gifts, Macy's is fantastic. And one item that I think is really great because, you know, it's going to be Christmas and then it's going to be January right before you know it. And then it's all about a new year. and knew you and trying to get healthy. Everybody starts, cranks it up in January. And I think a juicer is a really, really great place to start. Are you a juicer?
Starting point is 01:41:03 Do you're a juice guy? Is that you jam? But could you juice the air fried peaches? Yeah, here's the problem with juicing. I like juice. I don't like to clean up the juicer. So we have a juicer that Eddie got me from my wedding. And I used it twice and realized you have to take forever to clean out.
Starting point is 01:41:19 So I juiced for a minute. And so now I just order juices from Uber Eats. Well, and that's great too. I think at the other day, it's about as complicated as, you know, it gets me out of a coffee machine. So, like, if that's not that big of a deal, I think a juicer is a really, really great way to just, like, cram a bunch of nutrients. You know, put some juice in your caboose is what I like to call it. And I think that, you know, there's a, which one is I got it pulled? Let's see here.
Starting point is 01:41:47 It's the, it's not cheap. It's 300 bucks, 400 bucks actually, but it's the juice fountain XL from Breville. It's available at Macy's, right? It's massive capacity, which I think is really great. It's got a three and a half inch feed. So sometimes if you're trying to get a carrot down there, and you can't get it because it shoots too small. This one definitely fits it.
Starting point is 01:42:07 But, you know, like parsley, cucumber, fresh ginger, turmeric, all these things are like really, really good for your body. I know, A1. You can put some A1 in that, man. No shame in that game. You could juice a medium-wealth steak. You could do that. Holiday gift shopping is in full,
Starting point is 01:42:23 swing with gifts you want to splurge on for family and friends. You can get that Breville juicer that Tyler mentioned, an espresso machine, all clad stainless steel cookware, heck, an air hockey table. Just go to Macy's.com slash gift finder for all your gifting needs. And the best part about all this, Macy's wishless Wednesday supports Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America. Go to Macy's dot com slash purpose and donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and help support their mission to inspire youth equity and empower kids to reach their potential. Tyler, massive fan, all seriousness. Thank you. And I hope you have a great holiday, buddy. You too, my friend. Always great talk with you. Thanks so much, man.
Starting point is 01:42:53 I take it. Bye-bye. Thanks. Bobby Bones Show. Boney up the day. This story comes us from Fresno, California. A 68-year-old man walked into a Wells Fargo, handed the teller notes, said, I need the money. Teller handed over $200, the man left. He got about half a block when police called up to him. They said, listen, if you're going to rob a bank, you might want to lose the Walker, man.
Starting point is 01:43:16 Oh, he stayed with the Walker? Yeah, so he went in with it, but he actually needed it. He needed it, and the problem is he couldn't get very far because he was moving so slow. with the walker down the sidewalk. Like if you went in with it and you didn't need it, then you ditched it and you sprint it off, I would get it. That would make sense.
Starting point is 01:43:32 Or the opposite. You walk in and you're really faking it like you can. And then you need the walker afterward. And you don't go in with it and then also keep using it. And he's traveling pretty slow in that walker. Yeah, it slows you down. And also your bonehead story of the day. I'm on Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 01:43:51 You know, I was doing a Q&A, which I'd do every week or so. And I try not to publicly do too many of these. Sometimes I'll just reach out privately. But this one was like, hey, is there any way you could help my 10-year-old baseball team? We have a traveling baseball team. And I said, yeah, just DM me from the Q&A. And I'm happy.
Starting point is 01:44:08 I'll Vim-Moy you or cash app. You know the money. She told me the money she needed for their team. And I know it's a risk to put that out there because then everybody comes asking for stuff, and I can't tell the difference of real and not. And so it's a fine line that I try to walk. But then she's never DM me. I checked
Starting point is 01:44:24 Did she not see it? Do I go chase her down So I can give her money But she hasn't DM me I think the offers out right So now it's on her too It also goes away after 24 hours It's on my Instagram stories
Starting point is 01:44:35 That's true I don't have a DMI I said DIA anyway Dang I know But I'm helping nobody else today If you set that money aside though Like I can take it from my basketball team
Starting point is 01:44:45 Yeah and what they say I funded your basketball team Yeah I know but you know They're extra expenses sometimes Oh green team No no that's the problem As soon as you go, yes, then everybody's like, oh, my hand is open, too. How did you vet the problem?
Starting point is 01:44:59 I don't vet it, but I always, if it's out of nowhere and someone goes and they're very specific about it, I'll definitely go check it out or just go, yeah, I can do that. But if I'm like, hey, I'll help somebody and then everybody comes at me, I'm like, okay, they just saw it and they're coming now. It's a weird situation. So she has a DME. I don't know what to do. If she doesn't DM me, I tell you what I'm going to do.
Starting point is 01:45:20 I'm going to take that money. I'm going to burn it. in the honor of all you guys. Perfect. Yeah, put in the car. Sounds logical. I know. It's stupid.
Starting point is 01:45:26 So stupid. We have a new episode of the Bobbycast up today. It is a podcast that I do. It's very long form. It's with songwriters and producers and artists and different than here for sure in the studio. We spent a long time talking about life and how they grew up and, you know, situations and made him who they are.
Starting point is 01:45:44 And this guy named Jordan Reynolds comes in. Didn't know him. No need written so many number one songs. And he won the big award called a triple play where you write three number ones within a year, really, really liked him. And for example, he wrote tequila with Dan and Shea. We had this whole talk on pessimism and optimism. And at the end, he goes, can I tell you about a time that you really gained my respect?
Starting point is 01:46:07 And I was like, can't we ever. Let's go. Love to hear about this. And then he goes, it's because it's something you did to me. And I really appreciate it. And I'm like, who was he working as a valet? And I slid him some extra cash? Did I help him in some way?
Starting point is 01:46:20 I don't know. And so he said that they had come in, and he wrote these songs with Dan and Shea, but they were like, hey, can you play keys for us on the Bobby Bone Show? It's a very important appearance. We recorded like five songs in a row. And we recorded one song for each day. So Dan and Shay were here every day. So Dan and Shay were here every day. And they brought different sets to wear. So it's like, it's not a different set to wear. So it's not a big, you can wear that. You're in all black. You're an all black. And I was like, it's not a big. You can wear that. You're an all black. You're an all black. and you're playing keys, the background players, that's fine, don't change your clothes. So I tell him that. And this is him talking about that. I was like, all right, what should I wear? And you kind of chimed in.
Starting point is 01:47:00 You're like, man, are you just going to be, you're sitting in the same spot? And I was like, yeah, he's like, you're like, dude, don't worry about it. Just you can keep the same thing on. So Dan and Shea change. We get set up. We roll the second one.
Starting point is 01:47:10 We're going, it's the next day. You know, it's like, hey, everybody, you know, Bobby Bones here, whatever. We got Danes Shee in again. And they're like, yeah, we're going to play this song, speech list we actually wrote with our buddy here and you go well hold on a second this guy back here he was here yesterday right and
Starting point is 01:47:22 they were like yeah yeah he's here he's like he's wearing the same outfit that he wore yesterday and I was like I didn't even have a mic I couldn't respond and I was like you dog I don't remember that that's funny that's great that's funny set him up
Starting point is 01:47:38 I was like yeah man don't worry about it and yeah I don't remember that at all because we do 10 million interviews and Dan and sharing a lot because they're friends and they're awesome. But I thought that was pretty funny. Yeah, that even caught me off guard. I thought you're going to be like, wait, wait, you help write this? Tell me more.
Starting point is 01:47:55 And then you call him out. You're wearing the same shirt as last. I was like, bro, change your clothes. This is a big deal. Go check it out. It's an episode of the Bobbycast. It is up. Guy was great.
Starting point is 01:48:06 I'd like to be his friend. But I don't know how to cross that boundary. Got to let that happen, dude. Yeah, it's got to be natural. Naturally. Yeah, so I'm parking like a block away from his house. Oh, God. Then when he goes somewhere, I try to go there as well.
Starting point is 01:48:16 Oh, hey. What are you doing here? I didn't know you were here. All right, check it out. To Jordan Reynolds this week. Thank you. That's it. We'll see tomorrow.
