It's our day.
The Bobby Boneshow.
Let's go, girl.
Standing strong is who you are.
International Women's Day.
I'm a dude.
It's a weird for me to start after that, huh?
But it is International Women's Day, which is awesome.
I was raised by all women.
Some of the biggest influences in my life.
Women, love to celebrate women.
We got a big show today on International Women's Day.
We brought in two of my favorite acts.
Just period, right?
It doesn't mean that, but we really want to.
but we really wanted to make sure we brought in really strong, really independent, really talented women.
Chapel Heart is coming up.
We'll talk to them.
Ashley Cook, she's got such a good song.
It's been a year.
So we'll talk to her.
By the way, if you ever want to watch these performances, we can't put them on the podcast because we'll go to podcast jail.
But you can watch them on our YouTube channel.
So we have a really good show today.
Tonight at 5 p.m. local time, Amy's hosting a woman of IHard country, one hour special.
Listen here or on the IHart Radio app.
And then at 8 p.m. local time, it's IHartRadio, see her, hear her,

More info at iHeartRadio.com slash women's day.
Okay, so that's that.
Now let's do what's the normal intro of the show.
Go.
Come on, Bobby.
Hey, hey, welcome to Wednesday show.
Morning studio.
Morning.
Okay, let's go around the room.
He thinks he's got a pretty decent golf swing,
but he's actually much better at playing guitar strings.
Here he is.
Producer ready, everybody.
All right.
Guys, lunchbox has been doing something for years.
And it finally clicked why he's been doing it.
He's been going to the promotions office.
There's an office here in our building.
And what they do is they're the ones that have like all the free hookups for like, you know,
partnerships that the company has, free event tickets, concert tickets.
Lots of tickets.
And he's been going and befriending these people who have that position in their office every day after the show.
Hey, Sarah.
How are you doing it?
Different people.
I mean, we've had a high turnover rate, probably what?
Like 10 since we've been here.
But he goes in there and makes friends with him.
and it finally clicked.
He goes in there to, like, make friends and then ask him for concert tickets or events tickets.
That's the only reason he wants to be friends with them.
And it made so much sense.
Your response, lunchbox?
Well, shame in my game.
What's wrong with it?
So you befriending them just to get free stuff?
Yeah, I mean, you scratch my back.
I'll scratch yours.
But how do you scratch there's that?
Celebrity talking to them?
He talks to them, yeah.
I didn't realize that was a scratch.
He does sit in there.
He sits in their little office and be like, so how was your day yesterday?
So you feel like you talking to them is the payment.
It brightens their day to have a celebrity stop by their office.
And so if I get tickets, you know, cool.
And that's why Eddie's always like, man, guys, do you know where I can get, you know,
the dancing lights of Christmas tickets?
I do like this.
Oh, sorry, bud.
I already know where I got mine.
Really?
You think I can ask her.
From scratching.
Yeah.
And he's like, oh, and then he has to go crawling down there and ask.
But you don't have to crawl.
Yeah.
I just walk right in.
She already has them hanging out sticking out waiting for me.
I'm like, thank you.
No problem.
Yeah, anything that goes up.
It's a transactional relationship.
I like prostitution.
All right, next up.
Says he's got a big plan when he joins OnlyFans.
That's Lunchbox, everybody.
I need to know if I'm cool or if I'm creepy.
Creepy.
All right, over to Amy.
Yeah, really?
No.
There were some Girl Scouts out in front of a store.
Yeah, creepy.
The next one, you move on.
It got worse with like three words.
There's some Girl Scouts.
Four words, go ahead.
Selling some cookies.
So I went up and, you know, I tried to hype them up.
as a former number one salesman of
Balconi's Little League. I wanted
to kind of hype them up, see what their sales pitch was.
And when we walked away, my wife was like,
you realize you were 100% creeping them out.
And I said, no,
I was giving them a pep talk.
So I want you to hear my interaction
and tell me if I was cool.
Oh, no. I'm already cringing.
Or creepy. This is you talking to how many Girl Scouts?
There was like five of them. Okay, go ahead.
Oh, did you sell out of Girl Scout cookies?
We have some. We have some.
We have some.
We have these.
Oh, I definitely got to get some coconut ones.
Because let me tell you, when I was a kid, I was a top salesman of chocolate.
So I see, game recognized game.
I see you guys out here hustling.
Listen, no, because let me tell you, the ones that cheat are the ones that just put it on Facebook and say, hey, buy my cookies.
You guys are out here hustling.
So you learn, you know what I'm saying?
So I'm all about buying from you guys.
All right, thank you.
Or the ones that come to, you know, just send mom to work and say, here, sell my cookies.
No, that doesn't work.
That's all right.
That's all right.
That's all right.
You're all right.
Rock and roll.
From one salesman to another businessman, make a business business.
You guys have a great day.
Yeah.
I thought it was fine.
You just kept on a little too much.
But other than that, I thought it was good.
They said thank you.
Like five times.
Yeah, they were like, sir, go on.
So yes, great.
I actually liked it.
Cool or creepy.
It's cool.
Yeah.
It's cool.
It's cool.
I'm going to settle on that.
But they were ready for you to go a couple times.
Because I.
But I liked it.
Thank you.
Your heart was there.
That's what I'm talking about.
Cool.
Cool.
Well, you go cool.
Your wife said creepy.
She goes 100% you were creeping them out.
Well, after a while, I think you were.
But mostly cool.
Amy, she still hasn't seen any money from her car, and she's our local movie star.
Here she is Amy.
Okay, so my daughter joined the softball team in high school, and she's never played softball before.
So she's got a lot of learning to do.
And so they've been doing catching, throwing, batting.
Well, they had day one of sliding practice.
And she hurt her ankle.
Sliding practice is hard because that means you don't know how to do it.
And you have to slide aggressively.
And I can definitely see where you'd hurt your leg.
How bad?
So, well, I pick her up.
She was like, I saw her.
on all of her, and I'm like, wait, what's happening?
She's hobbling, she can't walk.
Then we go to the school nurse.
They give her this boot thingy.
Like, it looks like she has a broken foot.
She doesn't.
But she's got this boot.
And then she's very excited, but the deal is, like, because it's an injury,
it's causing her to miss the first game that they're going to play.
Is she really injured, though?
Yeah, it's swollen.
Or do you think she likes wearing the boot?
No, she does not.
Got it.
She does not like it at all.
And you can see it's tender swollen.
It's, she's going to be fine.
I don't even think she wanted the boot quite honestly, but is helping her wall.
walk. So I'm just bummed for her. Not that I don't know if she would even play the first game.
Yeah. But now it's like there's no option. But sliding practice is hard. It's hard for it. It stinks
for even people to know how to slide. Because you just don't randomly go out and slide that often.
I know. And I could show her because I played ball. No, no, no, no, no, no, guys, guys.
You can't. No, no. That's why I'm not going to. No, no, no. That's not why you're not
going to. You're not going to because you'll break your leg. Right. It's my age. I don't have it like
I used to. But I don't think you, it doesn't matter. Good job, Amy. I like it.
All right. From Mountain Pine, Arkansas, he has a man purse that he brings to work.
And boy, you should see him twerk. Bobby Bones. Thank you.
I'm not quite sure about that one. Thank you. I've never seen you twerk.
So I think I'm about to be headband guy. I'm going to have to be.
What do you mean? Because when I work out, my hair's getting too long.
So, boy. My wife and I will go box on the weekend, sometimes with the week night.
But my hair, I haven't cut it a long time. I'm starting to grow down. I think I'm about
to be 1970. So I'm a headband guy.
How do we feel about that?
Cool or creepy?
I mean, some people pull it off.
I have to that my hair gets in my face.
Are you doing thick or thin?
Because the whole thin soccer ones are kind of cool.
If I'm doing it, it's going to be thick.
It's going to be full for head.
Yeah.
Full four head.
Like I'm talking about, boom.
Oh, then I guess medium.
No, I only do it one way and that's thick.
Like semi-pro.
Like Wilfarel semi-pro.
Yes.
I'm for it.
Listen, when I had long hair, I did it and I wore it in soccer games
because it keeps it out of your eyes.
It works.
But I think the style is thin,
but thick gets more respect.
I don't have style dictate me.
I know, but thick gets more respect.
That's right.
Everybody always likes it thick.
Everybody always likes it thick.
I'm going to be a headband guy.
Just letting it know.
So if you guys see me on social media,
don't bring that in here to drag me.
I did 8 Mile M&M final scene
where I dragged myself
so you can't do that here.
Yeah, you got us.
Got you.
No bringing it up, making fun on me.
All right, that's what's up.
Thank you guys.
Let's get started with the show.
It's International Women's Day.
It's time to open the mailbag.
You send an email and we read it all the air.
It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag.
Yeah.
Hello, Bobby Bones.
My husband and I are a competitive couple, especially with each other.
We found ourselves in a good humor debate who was smarter a couple weeks ago.
We were laughing about taking an IQ test to determine who would score higher.
To give a little info about ourselves, he manages a company, and I am a financial advisor.
Our strengths are in different areas.
He has more real world knowledge.
I have more educational knowledge.
He's better at problem solving with hands-on work.
I'm better at problem-solving behind a computer screen.
Personality-wise, he is like lunchbox,
and he would never let me live it down if I lost.
And often takes jokes a little too far.
Personality-wise, I'm similar to Amy.
If I scored higher, I'd probably use it strategically to my advantage,
but I'd mostly be kind about it.
Should we do it?
Would you do it with your spouses?
Sincerely signed, this smarter spouse.
I would avoid this like the plague, like they say.
First of all, a little bit of it depends on what questions you get.
Not every IQ test is the same.
And also, it's just going to be miserable.
There's a chance it can be miserable for you.
It's not worth, the risk reward, it's not worth it.
The reward is what?
You get to be kind of funny about it with him.
You don't really bring it up.
That's the reward.
You know, but also these tests aren't really that accurate if you get one from the internet.
But the risk is, he will constantly talk about it smarter than you in every facet of your life and tell every friend.
The answer is no, you shouldn't do it because just evaluate it. Risk versus reward.
Your reward is not strong enough for you to take that risk.
It will be a nightmare for you if you lose.
That's all I'm saying.
And if you win, it'll be a nightmare too because he'll just cry like a baby.
Be like, well, this isn't fair.
Something isn't right.
I wasn't good.
I had to poop.
I don't know.
All the stuff lunchbox says.
I just feel like.
Yeah.
And 100%.
I think what she's looking at is when they get in a fight, if he wins, every time, my answer would be like, are we going to talk, are we going to listen to the more intelligent person or the one that is not as smart? And what goes my decision.
And then I would be like, well, it sounds like I'm listening to the most immature person. But still the smarter.
Yeah, smarter. The IQ test told you that I'm smarter, so it doesn't matter about maturity.
You're pretty dumb. You think I'm immature. That's what I would say. So maybe I'm really mature and you're just not smart enough to know. I'd be buzzing all kinds of stuff like that. Don't do it. I'm telling you it's not worth it. This is not something that's fun.
It's cute, but it's not fun with your husband.
Yeah, next thing you know, it's over.
What?
You chop a head off?
What just happened there?
You shoot somebody?
Somebody dies?
In between.
It's over.
It's like good.
We don't know what.
It's like yada yada.
That's like yada yada.
That's an IQ test favor street smart or does it favor book smart?
Book smart.
I'm never taking one.
So here's what an IQ test is.
An IQ test doesn't actually mean somewhat smarter.
What an IQ test does is shows the capability of them to reach a higher,
level of intelligence.
Because there are kids that get
like a five, or there's like a five-year-old
that gets like 120. That doesn't mean he's smarter
than I am, but it shows that
his brain is able to get to a level if enough work
is done that he can max out at 120.
I have some friends that IQ test the crap
out of it. Dumb is
dumb. Why don't be dumb? That's funny.
It's not you. Here's the official test,
an IQ, or the official definition, an IQ test in assessment
that measures a range of
cognitive abilities and provides a score that is intended to serve as a measure of an individual's
intellectual abilities and potentials.
That word is potentials.
So he could win this since he's street smart.
Lunchbox?
No, no, no, no, her husband.
Who would win out of you guys?
Me.
Oh.
Lunchbox.
Not me.
Eddie.
Eddie.
He wins easy journey.
No, no, no.
Scuba.
Scuba would be good, I think.
Why would he be good?
Because he's just overall smart.
$100 of the winner?
I'm in.
Let's go.
anybody that once they can get in
mark me down
$100 to the winner
I'm in I mean I went to
LC Anderson high school
and the University of Texas
I don't
I don't exactly
because then they're going to use it
and get y'all just
convince me how I'm going to be told
hey you know what
Amy you can win this though
don't be scared
I'm not scared
yeah I'll do it
okay
I'll do it
she's got dead last
wrapped up
lunch bob
that's awfully rude
at least I finished college
Abby do you
oh
Yeah, and we're going to show it.
If this IQ test, you don't need to finish call,
this will be smart.
Okay, Abby, he wanted the O back.
Abby, do you want in?
Yeah?
Okay.
We'll do it tomorrow.
We'll take the test maybe after the show today.
Where do you get it?
And we'll have the results tomorrow.
On the internet.
How long does it take, man?
Well, we'll see.
Dude, I don't know.
I'm doing this bit live here.
I have no idea.
Don't do the test with them.
We will do the test here, though.
We've got your email and I'm the clothes.
Bobby Mailback.
Yeah.
It's a Bobby Bowie.
Phones Show interview.
Man, these guys, they're awesome.
Chapel Heart.
It's two sisters and a cousin, and they're so
funny, they're such good singers.
Maybe you saw them on America's Got Talent.
They went on that show, but they, I mean, they've been doing this
for a long time. They went on that show
and did this song, You Can Have Them, Jolene.
There are three of 108 grandchildren.
It's crazy.
Think about that.
So it's International Women's Day,
and I've had them on the Bobbycast,
I wanted to bring them in today because of
International Women's Day and kind of highlight them.
And tonight at 5 p.m. local time, Amy's hosting a
Women of IHour country one hour special.
You can listen here or on the IHartRadio
app. And 8 p.m. local time, it's IHartRadio's
See her, hear her, celebrating women
in music on IHardRadio's, Facebook, and YouTube.
So more information, iHeartRadio.com slash
Women's Day. But I'd have brought them in, even if
it wasn't International Women's Day.
They have a song with Darius Rucker.
It's Chapel Heart with Darius.
Old Church Em.
To so my soul, I got Old Church here.
They were, like, singing on sidewalks, and they got a great story.
And here they are, Chapel Heart.
On the Bobby Bones Show now, Chapel Heart.
How we doing, guys?
Everybody good?
Good.
You guys always bring a low energy.
You know.
By a little, I mean a whole lot.
There you go.
Today is International Women's Day, and we were talking.
Because every year, I like to bring in female artists that, man, I think, are kind of just changing everything for the good.
And you guys know, I'm big fan of you guys.
That's right.
And so Chapel Heart is here, and we're going to perform in a second,
but I want to go and do some basics with people maybe that are being introduced to you for the first time.
Okay?
Okay.
So, just humor me here.
Danica, introduce yourself, and who else is in the band with you?
Hello, I am Danica, and this is my sister, Devin, and this is our first cousin tree, and we're Chapel Heart.
Yes.
Oh, is that what else?
That's it.
I just wanted you to be like, that's me, my sister, my cousin.
You guys have been together for how long?
Um, five years, next month makes five years. Well, this month makes five years.
For all three or for two? For all three. For all three. Uh-huh. Yes. It became official in 2018.
And Chapel Heart is named after what? So our hometown is Poplarville, Mississippi. And inside of Poplarville, there's a community called Derby. And inside of Derby, there's another community called Hart's Chapel. And Hart's Chapel is like where we grew up. And so we just kind of took that bad boy.
flipped it and reversed it
and came up.
It's the philosophy for me, okay?
The thing down flipped it and
reversed. Early this morning, early
early, early. You guys were
setting up and so they
look much better now. We all look a little rough this morning.
Introduce your two friends here.
Well, today we are joined
by my oldest son, Nick.
This is Nick Neekase on guitar.
And this is my son, Darien
Hodd. We bonded over
how much it sucks to wake up early in the morning.
Oh my gosh.
They were up doing the work and I was back here and I was like, yeah, never gets easier.
All right, look, I do want to talk about you guys, but I would like our audience to hear you guys perform so they know just what they're in for here.
So what are we going to do?
What song are we doing here?
Okay, so today we're doing our current single, Glory Days.
And it's also the tour that we're on, our first headlining tour.
And we are truly living right smack dab in the middle of our glory days, I think.
And so I think it's fun every time we do it.
It's good. You know that. Most people, myself included sometimes, you go, dang, that was, that was it. That was when it was awesome.
Right. You know you're in it right now. Look at you guys being all advanced with your mental health.
We had enough, we had enough older people to be like, this is it, you better take it in.
You just started listening after a while. These are the Glory Days. This is it. All right. Glory Days, here they are, Chapel Heart.
Chapel Heart.
Yeah.
Nice job, guys. Looking as you guys were singing, because I wanted to see how the Jolene, you can have him Jolene. I was, I was,
I wanted to see how I was doing.
Since last time I talked,
it's got like almost three million views now on YouTube.
Yeah.
Aside,
I just was like,
oh,
let me check real quick while they're singing.
I mean,
that song is still being like watched and streamed like crazy.
Like,
it's still,
it's still kind of,
it's kind of hard to take in
and it's still so surprising because,
like,
we'll go to shows and there'll be people
from like five-year-olds to
85-year-olds singing every word to you can have them,
Jolene.
And I still feel like we're not quite used to that yet.
Oh, man.
But it's been pretty amazing.
I guess people are liking it.
Was the first time you guys played that on AGT?
Like on a public situation?
I mean, AG2 is probably the biggest that we performed it on.
But I guess they didn't even have it recorded.
It was online anywhere.
Yes.
Oh, it was.
That's the first time I saw it was when it went viral.
And I saw you guys at a boxing thing.
So you guys were singing the national anthem in a boxing.
I told you the story when we were together.
I saw them singing.
I was like, oh, wow, they're really good.
And then the first thing.
first time I saw Jolene was when you guys were performing at AGT, which is probably how
most of America was introduced to you because they didn't go to a boxing match like I did
and have you sing the national anthem.
But so that one, though, is just killing it.
And I would imagine there's, man, when something goes viral, that's got to be so weird
in that everybody, like, it doesn't matter, man, woman, old, young, everybody has seen it.
It's still kind of weird because I think before, like, we've had like a couple songs that
went bacterial.
It wasn't quite viral, but it spread a little bit.
But like, antibiotics could have got rid of those songs.
But viral, right, right, right.
You're going to have the work to get rid of this one.
But, yeah, we'll go places.
And, like, sometimes people will be like,
oh, it's the Jolene girls.
Or they'll be like, y'all look like those that are on AGT.
Really?
And so sometimes they're like, who are those?
Oh, they must be cute.
And it's crazy.
And it's crazy because this song had, like, life a year before that.
And so we'd been outplaying it for like a year.
Isn't that crazy?
It's like an overnight success that took years to make.
Just that song.
Just that song.
Not even you guys.
Just the song.
It just shows you how you can.
have it, craft it, work it, but it just takes some little spark from some other side just to expose it.
It didn't make it any better or worse.
Right.
It just got more eyeballs and more ears on it.
Did you guys get to me, Dolly?
No.
Okay, still haven't yet.
Okay.
I don't think we're, I don't know if we're ready.
I'm a whole lot of women to get up off the ground.
I was like, y'all can't surprise me.
Do not surprise me with Dolly, okay?
Like, you got to let me know in advance.
I get nervous and clammy, just thinking about it.
Dan, did you have vocal.
surgery? I did. How did it go? November. I mean, my doctor, I knew it was good when I was at my week.
Devin, why are you looking to me like she's up to something? Because, no, listen, that, that surgery was the best two weeks of my life. This girl could not talk.
The devil is busy this morning, okay? It was the most peaceful. My life. She couldn't call me. And they were like, 45 times a day. Oh, my God.
Imagine just FaceTiming her and her looking like,
No, you know I can't say nothing.
It's a beautiful feeling.
So it's good for you, too.
How about you, Danica?
Thank you.
When they cut into your throat.
Right.
As I was laying on the bed.
But I knew at my week post shop, I went to go see him and he looked and he said, and my heart just dropped.
He said, man, that is beautiful.
I was like, yes.
And so it was a fast recovery.
And I, you know, and I just, I'm so blessed to be able to do this 60.
Plus date tour.
Yeah.
And to night after night still, you know, feel great because right smack dab in the middle of AGT was kind of when it was the worst.
So we were competing and I was barely being able to talk.
And so.
Is it hard to push hard the first time?
Are you scared because you just went through something?
I would think it would be like a leg injury.
Like, oh, man, I don't want to cut on it because I've been through surgery with it.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
I was like, okay.
That was it.
You got a little hard-reach time.
And then, like, you know, once we got it on the interstate, it was like, oh.
So I was good.
You guys go to chapelheart.com.
You guys are all over the place, obviously.
Like you mentioned, you have so many shows.
I'm looking at the list here all the way to July.
When you guys go back home to Mississippi, those shows big?
Like, do they support?
They come out good?
Mississippi and Louisiana shows are nuts.
Like, they drive from all parts of the state.
Yeah.
And it is a big freaking family reunion every time.
It is the best.
I saw your three of 108 grandchildren.
Uh-huh.
Yes.
How does your grandma or grandpa know how?
how and who and I don't even 1008 people
Now listen first of all
I made the like horrible mistake
Of asking grandma when I was about nine
I was like how was it having 17 kids
And I meant like emotionally
And she said well after nine they just walked out
Grandma
Wait she actually physically births 17?
Oh yes
17 individual births
No twins no triplets
And of the one hundred and eight grandkids
There's only one set of twins
So God said
be fruitful and multiply and they said, oh, is that a challenge?
Come on.
I accept your challenge.
That's 20 years of our life.
Wow.
Pregnant.
You know, I mean, you know, basically because there's some time when you can't be pregnant.
I think there were times that our grandma and some of the kids were pregnant at the same time.
Yeah.
So, say that again.
So there were times that my grandma and some of her kids were pregnant at the same time.
Because our youngest aunt is younger than our oldest cousin, which is weird.
Wait!
It's right.
So what was her?
How old was she when she had her oldest
pregnancy? I think 15
if I remember. That's the youngest. So how old
was she when she gave birth to the 17?
15 plus 17.
So I'm not sure.
How old is 40?
7, 48, 49.
Because Rosie is only like 11 years older
than me. Are maybe like that's crazy.
So I mean,
it just is a ton of
she's a baby making machine.
Okay. That's what she was
supposed to do. Because I can't imagine
doing it. We come from some fertile myurtles, y'all.
Because even all of our like
aunts and uncles, they have at least
four plus. I'm so dramatic.
I'm so dramatic after one. I'm going to
retirement, okay? Like that's, I'm packing
up and leaving, okay?
Chapelheart.com.
C-H-A-P-E-L, heart,
but H-A-R-T. I would imagine that's
a constant misspelling. Yeah.
It's understandable. It's okay because we own both domains.
You do? Great.
Yeah, it'll spell it wrong. It'll send you to the right place.
Smart.
Chapelheart.com,
International Women's Day.
I do want to ask you this final question.
Who have been some other women in this industry that have said,
hey, we're here for you if you need us?
I'm going to start this thing.
Gretchen Wilson.
We got a chance to meet her for my birthday.
What was that last year?
We met her before that.
But this is the highlight of Dev.
Yeah, I just have to put that out there.
But, yeah, she was super.
Her heart just fell on the ground.
She heard a couple of interviews that we had done,
and we mentioned her and how she was one of our inspirations.
And so she reached out.
She had her people reach out.
And she was like, I just want to get to meet you ladies.
And so we did a Zoom with her.
And she was just super, super sweet to us.
And she was like, I appreciate you guys, you know, even mentioning me in any of your interviews
because it's been a while since anyone had done that.
But she's one of them.
Yeah, Tanya Tucker.
Oh my gosh
I cannot wait until the meeting
I feel like it's gonna be
Hot Miss Express right on contact
okay
I'm excited
because Tanya sent us
she sent us like a special message
before our finale performance
for AGT
This is why we cried during the entire performance
Yeah nobody told us
That was terrible y'all
Oh yeah you don't watch the videos
You don't watch the emotional videos
Luckily
When I did Dancing with the Stars
We had that week
Where they were like
It's emotional week
And my partner was like
Don't even look up
Don't look up and close your ears because it's going to make you emotional that you can't perform your best.
We miss that whole little.
After we walked off, he said, I was like, well, we watched the video.
He said, no, you're never supposed to watch it.
I was like, that would have been good before going on the stage, not going off.
Well, listen, you guys are just so much fun to have, and I hope people go watch you live.
You know, they started.
You guys were just singing on the sidewalk.
Yeah.
For hours at a time.
On the streets.
Dev.
Street workers.
No, we were not street workers.
We worked on the street.
There's a big difference.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Absolutely big difference.
All right, you guys, go to chapelhardt.com,
get tickets to the show, and thank you guys for coming in.
Boys, we're all up here grinding out this morning.
They're probably sleeping their comfy beds.

They're the talented ones.
They get to do that, right?
Welcome to women's international.
That's right.
All right, there they are.

I doctored the test ones.

With Amy.
Tell me something good.
There's this eight-year-old, Kaysen Hunter, from Arkansas, and he loves to go to Waffle House with his mom.
They have this favorite waiter, Devante.
And he learned that Devante was living in a motel with his wife and his young children
because he was paycheck to paycheck, couldn't afford to live anywhere else.
So Kaysen was like, oh man, mom, we got to do something to help him.
Like, let's do a crowdfunding thing with a goal of $500, see what we can get.
That crowd fund is now at $97,000.
Wow.
And this is started by an eight-year-old who just loved his waiter at Waffle House, Devonte.
and Devante has moved his family out of the motel.
They're in their new two-bedroom apartment.
And here's the clip of Devante and Kaysen talking about it.
I've been struggling for a little while now and then Kaysen actually.
You know, he just brings me joy every day every time I see him.
And I'm just thankful that.
You know, he's in my life.
And, you know, we're just positive with each other all the time.
Case is my little guy.
He makes me smile.
I make some smile.
We just makes each other a day every time we see each other.
Well, I raise money for him because he's,
He's a good person.
Well, he always jokes around.
He makes everyone smile.
He loves when everyone treats him with respect.
I just love how the way he acts.
That's a good story.
I wonder, you have pay taxes on that, right?
Because I would, if someone go funded me a bunch of money,
I'd be like, I'd have been $100,000.
Let's go.
Yeah.
And then I'll make the news.
Then I'll go to Joe for Tax evasion because I didn't pay the, you know?
Well, that's a good question.
I don't know how they...
It's a gift.
It's a gift.
It's a gift.
Let's try it.
Guys, let's go fund me $100,000.
To you probably?
Yeah, and then we'll see if I didn't pay taxes.
Okay.
That is a great story.
Change the guys' life.
That is what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
The Bobby Bones Show.
Celebrating International Women's Day.
I want to go over and talk to Jazz, who lives in Oregon.
Hey, Jazz, you're on the air.
What's up, buddy?
Hey, Bobby Bones.
Hey, so I was listening to Amy's story about how somebody hit her car and they're going to pay her with Zelle.
I would love to think that they're going to pay her with Zelle, but when the fact they said,
Zell app, that's a big
scam app, so I don't know
if that's actually going to happen.
I thought Zell was... It's through Chase,
right? It's like a bank. Yeah.
I mean, what if there was just an app?
Oh, go ahead. A lot of scammers.
Sorry, a little delayed. A lot
of scammers will use that app and
other apps too, but
scam especially, Zell especially,
because it's pretty easy to scam people
on. Oh, that's not
company. Amy's waiting for money.
We'll see if she gets it.
Oh, boy.
Okay.
Somebody hit her car and then she's like, you're all good.
I trust you have honest eyes.
I trust that you'll pay me because they didn't want to use their insurance or if they even had insurance.
Thank you for that, Jazz.
Appreciate the heads up there.
Yeah, no problem.
It was stressing me out, so I just wanted to pay it.
No, thank you.
Amy too.
Stressing her out too.
I'm stressed.
Let's go over and talk to Jason and Texas who's on the phone.
Hey, Jason, what's up, buddy?
Oh, I had the vasectomy reversal done and it was successful.
Okay, so Scuba Steve does not want to get a vasectomy.
He's been asked, hey, how about getting a vasectomy?
And he's like, you know, I was thinking about it.
By his wife.
Yeah, yeah, he's like, I'm thinking about today's not today, but he says it every day.
Yeah.
So he does not want to get one.
He'd rather have more kids.
Even though she doesn't really want to have more kids, right, Scuba?
Yeah, she wants to stick with a three that's already overwhelming for us as a family.
But I feel like...
You don't even want more kids.
You just don't want a vasectomy more than you want more kids.
Yeah, I'm not a surgery person.
I don't like to go to the hospital.
Who's a surgery person?
Anybody here like, sure would love surgery today.
No, not me.
I don't know.
Can't think of anybody.
Nobody's a surgery person.
So then why should I put myself through it then?
But also it's not that invasive.
It's just like this.
Watch.
Jason, talk some sense into these knuckleheads.
Man, you're talking,
expecting me at 15 minutes of discomfort.
Boom.
And then you're back to work in three or four days.
And must I say, the timing, perfect.
Watch madness.
There's that.
Stay home, watch the games.
No more babies.
That'd be awesome.
You have to ice it, though, right?
Like, for four days?
Do you ice it down there?
You have to do a lot of things I've heard.
Okay, you've heard.
It's like a lot.
Jason, what do you have to do?
These guys are scared over here.
Man, you just sit down, hang out, put some ice on it, and watch TV.
Chill.
I don't want ice down there.
Hey, free chill.
There's probably a lot of guys getting it done that don't even want to get it done just so they can chill.
Chill.
And Jason, how long and how, what was the process like to get it reversed?
Oh, the process for reversal was that was a four-hour surgery.
Oh.
Oh, see.
We're not surgery guys.
The recovery time was about four weeks.
It was a lot worse.
But that's to get it reversed, guys.
No, no, no, that's not your answer.
Come on.
That's to get it reversed.
You're not going to get it reversed.
What if she reverses her decision of wanting more children and I have to go through this?
Like, come on, guys.
She's probably not going to.
You're out of your mind.
I mean, these guys are the biggest babies.
Why did he reverse it?
I reversed it because I had a friend that committed suicide in 2018 and my wife didn't have any kids.
So we made the big decision
Life is too short, let's go for it.
So we did.
So with those, did you have kids?
The kids?
Yeah.
I do.
I had one in 2019.
It came out okay, and I'm like 30 or something
that you had to reverse it.
Like one of your pipes was like,
I'm afraid that he's going to be smarter than me.
He must have been locked in there and just waiting to come out.
Locked, trapped.
You want to do that?
He was held back.
You want to trap all those kids down there?
Like a dog in the dog track.
Determined.
Like a little door?
Boom, ratit, shum, gone.
It was my little Michael Phelps.
There you go.
Okay.
Okay, so Jason, in conclusion, what would you like to tell these knuckleheads that say,
I'm just not a surgery guy?
I'm not getting snipped.
She should do it.
Much easier for the guy.
But they don't care about that because it's still pain for them, right?
So they don't want to compare it to her.
That's not an argument with them.
They're still like, but it still hurts.
Yeah, we're not surgery guys.
They're not surgery guys at all.
It doesn't hurt.
It's discomfort.
There you go.
For four weeks to get it reversed.
I mean,
but that's reverse.
Nobody gets it reversed.
Very few people get it reversed.
Michael Scott.
My friend Michael Scott got a reverse.
And then back,
in the back.
But nobody gets reversed.
We're talking about just getting it.
It's not like you guys are 22.
You guys are 22.
All right, Jason.
Thank you, buddy.
Billy in Missouri, final call here.
Billy, what's going on, booty?
I was wondering if by chance
you have heard the most annoying commercial
on your podcast.
Probably, but go ahead.
It is lunchbox and his temper swaddler is where he is prying.
Okay, I don't know this commercial.
Interesting.
Can you describe Billy before I play it?
Because Ray just give me the thumbs up.
He has it.
Can you give me the, like, I don't know, impersonation of what it sounds like.
Can you do an impersonation of lunchbox on the commercial?
Oh, my goodness.
It sounds like cats fighting.
Oh, man.
It's ridiculous.
Now I got two things to save it after the commercial.
Ray, let me hear a little bit of this commercial that made Billy call us.
But you know what's terrible is when the baby wakes up in the middle of night because of a leaky diaper and they're going, wah!
But here's the thing, a couple things I like to say.
One, he remembered what brand of commercial that was.
That's right.
There are so many good commercials that were like, wow, I remember when this happened in the Super Bowl and, oh yeah, what was that for?
Billy remembered.
One, he was annoyed and two, who annoyed him, but three, the product.
And that's the goal of it.
And number two, I think it's pretty funny.
I wasn't annoyed by it at all.
I mean, lunchbox is a sound effects guy.
He definitely is sound effects guy.
Billy, but I appreciate that call because it lets us know that lunchbox is doing a good job.
Even if annoys Billy.
Even if it annoys Billy.
One more time, right from the top.
But you know what's terrible is when the baby wakes up in the middle of night because of a leaky diaper and they're going, wha?
Okay, that does hurt the ears a little bit.
About the second time I'm over it, too.
I could just ram once.
All right, Billy.
Have a great day, buddy.
You too.
All right, see you later.
At my gavel on my hand.
Oh, boy, do we have to stand up?
Court, now you're good.
Court is now in session.
Coming up to the bench is lunchbox because you and your wife are having a little issue here?
Yeah, we need to know who has to pay for it because we have separate accounts.
So my wife's computer was sitting on the table and coffee was spilled under her computer.
She took it to the Apple store and they said it's a gone.
can't be fixed.
Like it's fried because it got in the keyboard, all that.
So now we are up for debate.
Who has to pay for it?
But what? Who spilled the coffee?
I spilled the coffee.
Xbox is paying for it.
Hold on.
Do you want to hear her speak?
Oh, we have clips.
Yeah, I have clips of her presenting her case to the jury.
Then you're going to present yours.
And then I'm going to present mine.
Okay, I would like for you to go first.
Me to go first.
Yeah.
It was 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
She had left her coffee on the table from the,
that morning with her computer open.
A, who has their computer at the table and leaves their coffee just sitting there?
If you want to clean up, clean up.
And I went to grab a coloring book that my kids were using on the table.
And when I picked it up, the coloring book hit the coffee and spilled onto her computer,
which, in my opinion, shouldn't be on the table.
And maybe you should clean up when you're done with your coffee because it was 2 o'clock
in the afternoon.
She had been drinking it at 8 a.m.
So it had been sitting there for five hours at least.
So is there anything else?
you're not going to repeat.
No, that's it.
Okay.
Because he'll just repeat himself.
Of course he does.
I respect it.
But here's the clip of Lunchbox's wife and her side of the story.
Please tell the jury why you think I am financially responsible for buying you a new computer.
Well, jury, he is responsible because he's spilled my coffee on the computer.
It's your fault.
So that's it?
Yeah.
There's no like, oh, you know, it could be my fault.
like by leaving your computer on the table, by leaving your coffee there.
Exactly. I left it on the table out of the way. It was perfectly fine. And then you come along and
you spilled the coffee. So you are asking the jury to what? To find you guilty and you owe me money.
Yeah, I appreciate her honesty. You were trying to like lead the witness. That's weird. I don't like that.
Objection there. But I was thinking about this. Is there a rule to like that?
Put the computer on the table?
We're not supposed to...
Unspoken?
I mean, I say it's unspoken.
Like, we don't let the kids have toys at the table.
So why would you have your...
You have a desk in the office, put your computer there,
and if you're going to just leave it on the table, maybe close it?
It's a great point.
I mean, it's so simple.
Was there a coffee soak?
Was it like irresponsibly close to the laptop?
Oh, it was, I mean, probably three inches?
And you would think someone would take any liquid and get it away from the computer.
Right.
If you're going to walk away at any point because you know you have three kids in that house,
they could any time just knock it over.
And the kids did knock it.
Oh, they didn't.
No, they didn't.
Oh, yeah, three kids in an adult.
Right, they didn't.
They didn't.
Right.
This jury deliberated faster than the Murdoch case.
Let's watch you all your wife money.
You spilled it.
It's all you.
It was just fine until you came along.
But her irresponsibility of the...
I said, yeah, blah, blah.
I don't know what I said there, but I just like, babababab.
You knocked it over.
You spilled it.
It was just fine.
Until you came along, nothing was spilled on her computer.
You know what the difference was? You came along. Do you know who she paid for it? Why owe you? Or a soldier boy would say you
Yeah, jury. That's it, right? Right, we all agree, right? No, there's not even, it's not even a debate.
That was the dumbest defense ever heard of my life. I know, it doesn't, I don't even get it. All she had to say was, well, you spilled it.
We're done here. The end. That's it. Pay the money. So if I leave my bike behind her car and she backs over it, who's responsible?
Well, a bike being behind a car is different than a coffee cup next to a computer because a coffee cup many times is sitting next to a computer.
Yeah, they go hand in hand.
Constantly.
Like Amy right now, coffee cup computer.
If you walked over and spilled it on her as her fault because she put her coffee cup next to you?
No, it's yours.
You know the liquid can go into it.
And also, if she backed over your bike, that's still on her in the end.
Correct.
It's a whole different situation.
I mean, that's never happening.
So you're guilty.
Wow.
You.
How much you owe her?
A new computer.
A new laptop.
A lot.
Good one?
I mean, an apple.
Like refurbished?
I'm going to have to go to, yeah.
Commodore 64.
Can you buy one of those used ones?
A floppy disk?
You can.
You can buy a used laptop?
Was hers used?
Yeah, it's like a couple years old.
No, you need to get her a new one, son.
Case dismissed.
Also want to get over to Morgan.
Morgan says her house is haunted.
Now, this is not the common where the ghost talks to you at night or like Hardy,
where he had arrowheads and all the sudden Native Americans are walking through his house speaking.
And I don't know, whatever, whatever,
language that was. Morgan is seeing something with their own eyes. Morgan, go ahead. Okay,
Morgan, come to the bench. So I've been seeing orbs showing up at my house. My ring,
doorbell camera goes off at 11.30 p.m. on the dot every night. And there's these two orbs
that just float around, right around it, and they're there for about five minutes. And then they go away.
And it happens on the dot every night for the last week. Bugs. They're not bugs. I've looked closely.
They're not flying. They're not lightning bugs. Firefly. Oh, okay. What's an
Yeah, defining a circle.
It's a floating circle.
Yeah.
Someone's blowing bubbles next door and they float past.
No, it's like they come out and then they go back in and then they never come back again.
Dandelions.
They go in what?
Like right?
Almost like out of my house, kind of out into the sky and then they just.
Do you see them come in?
Yeah, they like go into the, basically it looks like they go into the camera, but it's like they're going into the house.
What?
Oh, that part's weird.
Have you been drinking?
No, I haven't been drinking.
It's been on school nights.
Are you drinking?
You're looking now.
Thank you.
And it's not some sort of weird light.
Like the lights come on a different way at 11.
No.
It's the same light.
There's a street light and two lights that sit on my porch and they've been there since I lived in this house for three years.
And all the sudden, in the past week, these orbs have been showing up.
So they show up and then they go like they're going into the house, but they go right into the camera lens.
Yes.
You don't think it's some sort of refraction light situation?
No, because I think they would have showed up before now.
because it's the same consistent lights
that have been in the frame the whole time.
Oh, that's good.
Can you bring us?
What?
Just that it could be a light,
a car driving by even.
The headlights are shining off.
But at the same time.
Yeah, a guy comes home from work every day.
11.30 every day.
Exactly, Amy, lunch pail.
It's got to work.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
So, do you have footage?
I do have footage.
Oh, you do?
Yeah, it's on my camera.
It records it.
No, do you have it with you right now.
Yeah, I do.
Bringing up Exhibit A.
Yeah.
I don't think I'm the judge anymore.
I appreciate that.
I thought I was the judge, too, for a second.
Eddie, can you watch this video?
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Oh, this is very easy, Judge.
Okay, so what I see here...
I'm not the judge, do.
We moved off that bit.
What I see here, Bobby, is something slowly dripping down the camera lens.
So we're looking at condensation, a rain drop.
You know what?
There's no rain.
Maybe even a bug.
Let me see it.
100%.
The temperature change and the light heating something up and it...
Because it's a perfect drip, bones.
You see it.
Yeah, yeah.
This is not haunted.
But every night and it's not right?
Yes, it's the temperature.
If this is a temperature.
Her phone just shocked me.
Oh, it did.
It's haunted.
Oh, my gosh.
Well, that changes everything.
Oh, my gosh.
Okay.
Show me where.
Okay.
I'm looking at the street.
Haunted.
It looks like if there was like a cockroach crawling down the screen.
Exactly.
I think it's moisture.
Yeah, it looks like kind of a drip of water.
It's moisture or an alien.
Okay.
But every night of the same.
time for like five nights in a row?
Why would it just now show up?
Today is the eighth.
So if on April 1st, it's still happening
because the seasons are changing.
You can't make it April Fool's Day.
Sorry.
No.
If, that's a good point.
On April 3rd, it's still happening,
we'll get some paranormal experts out here.
Okay.
But to me, it's like water.
That's a good.
Yeah.
Case just missed.
Oh, now we're back.
Yeah, we're just messing and get into a bit.
Voicemail from Nolan in St. Louis.
Hey, Bobby. I just wanted to give a special shout out to my mom. Today's her fourth year being sober, and I'm really proud of her. She loves your guys' show her to show her just some love.
You got it, buddy. I don't know her name, but Nolan's mom, that's awesome. It is four years, but it's more like four years of one single day at a time. That's it. I wish you could look at me like, man, this is four years. Congrats to another four years. But how about this? To another day today, Nolan's mom, one day at a time. That's really, really cool. And you're absolutely affecting your son's life, which I'm sure you love dearly. Nolan, good job, buddy. Noah in Colorado with this question.
I was just curious, whatever happened to Ray's bet on the election in 2016, if he ever got that money, if he's still out.
Ray, early on, and maybe like even 2015, bet on Donald Trump to win the election.
When Donald Trump wasn't the Republican nominee, he was just one of many, had crazy odds.
And he ends up winning.
$50,000.
It's been seven years.
That's been a long time.
He hasn't got the money.
He's never getting the money.
Ray, what's your answer now?
Yeah, that's a down payment on a house that I don't have.
They have not sent the money.
I think the website went defunct, so there's that.
So no money ever the end?
Pretty much.
Dang.
Do we think he really bet it after all this time?
No.
No.
Oh, you don't think you really want it.
No, I mean, what website does that?
What gambling websites just say, hey, this is the bet?
It's done deal, and then, oh, sorry, we're just not going to pay it.
One that goes defunct.
Yeah.
It's one of those things.
I think Ray thought it would be funny to say that he did that and then he got so far in that you just have to keep going with it.
Yes.
All the tangled webs we weave.
Interesting theory, Amy.
Hey, a little Murdof style, you know what I mean?
You feel like Amy, I don't know, it can be on to something?
No, no, no, no, no, I mean, because I produced a document that said and showed that I bet it.
Produced it.
Not a document.
You showed us a picture, which can easily be Photoshop.
Mike Science can Photoshop anything.
And you know Mike Signs.
Whatever.
Mike Science Photoshop.
He might, yes.
Okay, so no, Ray doesn't have as much.
International Women's Day on the Bobby Bones show.
Hey, it's Ashley McBride.
I just got off the tour with Y, as in Winona, as in Judd.
And I wanted to take just a minute on this International Women's Day to give props and be grateful for that experience.
You can learn a lot of things.
Anytime you're on tour with somebody, you pick up, whether you mean to or not, you pick things up from their entertainment style or the way they handle their crew or the way things are just run throughout the day.
And for why, I think the most important thing I noticed was to constantly shake things up.
And when it comes to how to carry yourself, she's the best example I've ever seen.
And she brings dogs on the road.

Okay, Girl Scouts,
they have this new limited edition flavor,
raspberry rally.
Like $5 a box.
Well, they couldn't meet the demand.
Scalpers have bought boxes of them
and they're selling them on eBay for $100.
Well, what's the difference?
I mean, raspberry's fine.
I really don't have an opinion.
I like raspberry just fine,
but I'm not going to, you know,
You go pursue anything raspberry flavor.
What's different about this?
It's an online exclusive, so you can't get it from the Girl Scouts outside of the grocery store.
They may treat it like a PlayStation or shoes where they don't make enough.
And then they create a demand.
That'd be pretty smart by them.
But I can't imagine going out of my way to buy Raspberry Rally cookies.
What did you get, lunchbox?
I got the coconut ones, the Samoas.
I call them caramel delights.
And then I got thin mints.
That's the eight.
for me. You know what? And now that I have thin mints, I think I'm over thin mints. They're not as good as they
used to be. Break your news. Yeah, shortbread are the best. Yeah, those are great. They're good too.
They're the only thing there. They're pretty plain, but they're good. My marches on, right?
No, I love the shortbread and I like the piece. That's true. Good point. He's like, I like the fiber delights.
I'm like, wait, what? All right, what else am. Shout out to fourth grade teacher Marley Christensen
for making learning fun. She creates parodies for her students.
She uses songs from artists like Lizzo and Taylor Swift,
and then she swaps the lyrics to match up with whatever she's trying to teach them.
And here's a clip of her class singing about the rock cycle to Taylor Swift's anti-hero.
So, here's the thing.
So cool.
I think it's awesome if they're doing that because kids, it's interesting, they'll learn it.
But I don't hear the parody as much.
I don't think it's that important though.
No, no, I know, but I don't, they're struggling with the melody here,
because if you just played that, I wouldn't know that was a parody.
That's funny.
I'm like, it's me, the rock cycle.
Anyway, what else?
Still, super cool that she's doing it.
And she's inspiring others because she's posting home to TikTok.
So other teachers are doing it too.
Everything in Nash posted a list of the top women who have shaped country music.
Well, today's international women today.
So give me the top five women that have shaped country music and have Dolly and Reba aren't on there.
I'm leaving the show.
I quit forever.
Okay.
Number five.
Carrie Underwood.
Okay, I'm okay.
But that was it.
Go ahead.
Four.
Tammy Wynette.
Okay.
Who had more, way more hits than George Jones.
But because George Jones, well, one, had the greatest country song of all time.
He stopped loving her today.
And then also, he was a bit, he was a lot.
Yeah.
So he was famous for that, too.
But Tammy Wynette, her house, First Lady Acres.
You can just drive right by it.
Oh, yeah, I see it all the time.
It's cool.
All right, what else?
In it number three, Riva.
Boom.
A little low for me, but go ahead.
She's been out over 60 albums.
Crazy.
And at number two, Dolly Pardon.
Wait a minute. Hold on. You're going to go somebody number one over Dolly.
It better be Loretta Lynn. It has to be Loretta Lynn.
Is Shania?
Still.
She's a shaper.
Yeah, but without Loretta Lynn, you wouldn't have Shania.
It's got to be called mine's daughter. I quit this job. What is it?
Yeah, so Shania's on the list. She's at 10, though.
Number one is Loretta Lynn.
Oh, lucky. I was going to quit.
Goodness.
Oh, thanks to stay.
guys. We're real close. Amy.
Yeah. And then just because it's International Women's Day, tonight at 5 p.m. local,
I'm hosting a women of IHeart Country one hour special.
Oh, cool.
Yeah, all women. I mean, we do that every Sunday anyway on the weekends, but tonight is a really
cool thing that we're doing.
That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news.
With producer Eddie.
Yeah, home it's something good.
59 year old Peter Judge.
He was a cashier at a Phoenix grocery store.
And then just all of a sudden, he lost his job.
He's freaking out.
He's really bummed about it.
So he calls his son up.
He's like, I don't know what I'm going to do.
I really need another job.
And, you know, I don't have a lot of money.
So his son says, Dad, don't worry, check this out.
There's a place called LinkedIn.
I'm going to build you a profile.
We're going to find you another job.
Well, somehow this thing caught like wind.
It went viral.
And, I mean, thousands of people saw it.
And he posted on there and said, hey, guys, this is my dad.
It's a picture of him.
He says, this is Pete.
my dad lost his job yesterday
he's shocked, scared, emotional
and he loves his job.
He loved all of his customers, so please
help this guy out. And so people
shared it over and over. They've raised over
$30,000 for him and lots
of job offers. Although
Pete, he's not ready to work yet because he got
$30,000. Yeah, I thought that.
But also take a few days.
Take a little bit better. And not even because of the $30,000.
Sometimes you just got to recalibrate. And secondly,
I bet you Pete didn't know
his kid I was going to ride a dad was a skaterer on there.
He's scared.
He's emotional.
I mean, yeah, I'm a kid, go ahead.
But if he, like, looked at it before, my dad, he's scared.
He's shivering.
He pees.
He'd be like, no, no, no, kid.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
That's a great story.
And the people jumped into hell.
That is what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
International Women's Day on the Bobby Bones show.
Let's go over the phones.
I talk to Matt, who lives in Wichita, Kansas.
Matt, what's up, buddy?
Hey, so I was just calling because I got my cameo back from Ray this morning.
I ordered one back when you guys were talking about it last week,
and it was not disappointing at all.
So Ray and Bay, Ray and his wife, they're on that app called Cameo,
where they just get on, and how much do you pay him, Matt?
I think it was like $30.
I'm like that.
It wasn't really bad.
And then what did you put in the little box?
Yeah, oh yeah, he said he actually raises rate recently.
What did you put in the box for Ray and Bay to talk about?
Hey, let's come down to Wichita, smash some shelters, and go to the club.
That's what he said to you in the came.
Like he wants to come to Wichita smash shelters and go to the club?
No, no, no, no.
That's what I told him to do.
Got it.
And what did he say back in his cameo that you paid $35 for?
Well, it was 2 a.m.
He was in a dark studio.
He's like, I like Wichita, but I can't really do past 10 o'clock anymore because he's old, which understandable.
Okay.
He spun the wheel for me.
We did a morning corny, and he made me my own morning corny.
Gray's doing props and spinning the wheel.
You did a...
What joke did he tell on Matt?
He personalized one to me, and I don't really remember it off the top of my head, but it was on par with Ray.
That's for sure.
All right, buddy.
We appreciate that review of Ray's cameo videos.
Absolutely worth it.
Ray, you got the wheel out just for that?
Yeah, I don't tend to do props from the show, but he was just in a moment.
Ray's the carrot top of cameo?
Yeah.
I spun it for him, and he won a dollar, so...
Oh, nice.
to be same thing as the show. I try to maybe maybe one of them will do a bonehead one day. I don't know.
He just steals all the bits. Uh yeah, Ray and Bay are on cameo if you guys want to get one of those.
And why'd you just do it at 2 o'clock in the morning?
Awesome when I was feeling it. My voice hasn't been the same in a couple days, so I needed to give it some rest.
Okay. Do you want to do the morning corny now? It's Amy's bet. I mean, you can do it now too if you want.
Oh yeah. Yeah, let me just make one up from the dome. It'll be absolutely terrible.
Okay, never mind. Well, Amy, you do it. You do it. All right, here we go.
Morning Corny. What did the shark eat? What did the shark eat?
with his peanut butter sandwich.
What the shark eat with his peanut butter sandwich?
A jellyfish.
That was the morning corny.
I like that one.
Yeah, it's a pretty good one.
About 60 seconds away from Ashley Cook here as she's setting up in the studio.
But today is International Women's Day.
Tonight at 5 p.m. local time, Amy's hosting a Women of IHeart Country one hour special.
You can listen here or on the IHeart Radio app.
So we thought, let's bring in some awesome women to just.
play music or talk about their life, which we try to do a lot anyway. But today, you know, we nailed it.
8 p.m. Local time tonight. Also, it's IHeartRadio. See her, hear her, celebrating women and music
on Iheartradios, Facebook, and YouTube. For more info, go to iHeartRadio.com slash women's day.
But okay, let's do this.
It's a Bobby Bones show interview.
In case you didn't know.
I know an Ashley cook for a little bit now. Like, she first came and was like,
dang, that she's awesome. She was on TikTok, and she was just killing it on TikTok.
And now she put out this song called It's Been a Year that is so good.
I was like, who sings this?
Because this song is so good.
And it was Ashley.
Here's a clip.
So she's from Florida.
She loves Jeep.
She,
Jeeps.
I guess not just one Jeep.
She loves Jeeps.
Yeah, right, Ashley?
And then, you know, she started on TikTok, but, man, has she blown up from that?
Here she is Ashley Cook.
On the Bobby Bones Show now, Ashley Cook.
Ashley, how are you?
It's been a little bit.
A few months since I've seen you.
A couple months, I think, maybe longer.
Did you go out with Cole Swindel for a while?
I did.
Twice.
It was absolutely amazing both times.
Twice.
Yeah, I started out as the first of three, like the first of the three acts,
and then the second time I went as his direct support.
Come on, that's awesome.
It's darker when you get to play.
Yes, I know.
That's the best part.
It's finally nighttime.
Do you get to play at night?
I know.
So how's Coles catering on tour?
Pretty good.
Pretty good.
Could use some work?
You let me know.
I'll tell them what we need fixed here.
I know.
Like, sorry, Cole.
No, no, it's really, really great, honestly.
It was good food.
Healthy food, which was needed.
I want to play a little clip here.
Ray, would you play a little bit of It's Been a Year just from the studio version?
It's been a year, and I ain't saying it's funny, Ashley.
I heard the song come on.
I don't even know what town I was in, but I was just flipping through, and I heard it come on.
And I didn't know this was your song, and I was like, hey, this song's a really good song.
Let me see what's up.
And then I listen to it more.
I was like, oh, that's Ashley.
Yeah.
It's a really good song.
Thank you.
Not that I didn't expect that, because I've known you for a little.
little bit now. Yeah, I'm like, thanks, Bobby. No, but I hadn't ever heard this song,
like, studio version on, it's so good. Thank you. You wrote this too, huh?
I did. So when you go in, let me ask you, when you go in, like, where did it come from?
Like, what was, you guys are sitting in a room going, oh, man, it's been crazy.
Well, it's funny because the day that I wrote this song, I was on the way to a writing session,
and my mom called me and said that my grandma has cancer again. And I walk in the room,
and I'm realizing that it had been exactly 365 days to the week since,
I had seen my grandma last.
And I walk in the room and I'm trying to kind of put that behind me
and not really think about it,
just write a different song for the album, whatever.
And the guy in the room, Brett Tyler, one of my co-writers,
said, I have this idea for a song called It's Been a Year.
I was like, okay, this is too much of a coincidence.
We have to write this song because it's like too weird, right?
And he thought it was like a breakup song idea.
And I was like, no, man, it's not.
It's something about life.
And also the last year of my life has been the craziest year of my entire world.
And so I was like, we have to write this and kind of recap.
what I've been through and talk about it
and just kind of get it out.
And the craziest part is the day that this song was released,
my grandma was declared in remission from cancer.
So super, super weird, full circle moment.
And honestly, I never expected this song
to be the one people unbelievably related to.
And they did.
And it was like number seventh most use song on Instagram.
Just nuts people using this song and relating to it.
So I'm honored and it's cool.
Yeah, when I heard it, I was like, why do I like this?
Because I get a bit jaded.
I be around all music all the time.
I was like, why do I like this song so much?
and it definitely was a very personal song.
First of all, it sounds great, and the hook is great
and everything about a song.
But it was, I learned about you,
and I also related to it at the same time.
Like, you hit that, all three, all three points.
It's awesome.
So I think what we'll do is let's play it.
I know you guys are you guys, you're a guitar player.
I should say that.
Yeah, Chauncee.
Chonzie just had a baby.
He did.
Nice job.
And I asked him before one on the air,
he knew it was coming, right?
And he said, yes.
It's like now as a stork, but.
Here is Ashley Cook with her new song.
It's been a year.
Come on, Ashley Cook.
You sound great.
That's awesome.
She's so I can set the scene.
So Ashley's got her lighter colored guitar and Chaunty's rocking the dark wood guitar.
They're both playing.
I just want to make sure to highlight that Ashley's also playing and singing as well.
You know, I'm going to give you a, what kind of weird compliment here?
You're not the girl from TikTok to me anymore.
Thank you.
Because I know that's got to be an awesome way.
and I know for you that was a big part of your early part of Nashville.
And that's how I knew you to begin with.
But I don't even think about you like that anymore.
Like you have just, you know, graduated.
You know, I went from Cole's opening act to his middle act.
Yeah.
Like to me, you've taken that step.
And I'm glad you're still using it and doing it because you should.
But it's really cool to see you go from, oh, yeah, she's big on TikTok to like, no, she's just awesome now.
Thank you so much.
Congratulations.
That means a lot.
You know, TikTok and social media has been the most amazing thing for young new artists like myself.
But thank you.
I mean, that's the goal.
So thank you.
What do you think, Amy?
I mean, I was just thinking effortless.
Like, the whole time she's singing
and she makes it just like,
she's just casually up there
and sounding so beautiful.
And I'm wondering, like, how many people hear that song
and instantly think, who should I call right now?
What trip should I book right now?
And with you having a busy, your career's taking off,
so it's only probably, it's going to get busier and busier.
Do you have now a goal to, like,
make sure you do certain things
that don't end up 365?
You know, this year, my word was balanced.
That's what I chose for this year,
because last year I just, you know, like the song, I put my head down and grind it.
So I think it's important to figure out times that I can, you know, have times with the band to just laugh and have a good time and take trips with my sister.
Like I just did this past week to Miami just to kind of debrief and really do all of that.
So yeah, this year is going to be crazy, but it's important to make sure that I balance.
No balance, Ashley, I'm telling you.
Not right now.
You're killing it.
You're going too hard.
You work so hard to be able to work even harder and that's the coolest thing.
And it's going to be crazy.
Thanks.
It's only going to get crazier.
And you worked hard to be able to be able to,
work so hard. You're going to get so tired because you're going to get dragged in every direction.
And you just look in the mirror and go, I worked so hard to be able to work this hard.
That's what I have to do sometimes. It's like, I just get exhausted. Flying around, doing crap,
shows, good stuff, but I just am so tired sometimes. And I have to look at myself and go,
you know what? You wanted this and you're now in the position where you're doing it. So,
yeah, you worked really hard to be able to have the opportunity to be this tired. So remember that.
So true. How do you not get sick, though? That's the question.
Great point. Great question. A couple things. One, if I go, if I fly for a long time, I drink a lot, lot of water. It's the basic stuff. It's just sleeping water, but you can't always get sleep because obviously you're flying, you're traveling. And then if I go to places like Colorado, I get the IVs, you know, it's just always managing it. I worry about my throat and my nose and all that stuff all that stuff, all that's just the food, it's really just the fundamental stuff that we forget sometimes because we're so busy. Yeah.
I think you got a good career. That's it. Oh, she doesn't have to eat right.
Hey, nice. Hey, you eat right. You got five more hit songs in you.
I know. I'm like drinking water-wise. The band might kill me for stopping to pee a million times on the road.
Well, that is the bad part about it, is having to always pee. I know. Let me ask you this,
because we didn't talk about it before. We can do a whole other segment. Do you want to play
any other song at all? Do you guys know anymore or just that one? Is that the only one you know?
Trying to think about it. You can have a break. We'll take a little break. Do you want to play another one?
I'm so down. Let's do it. So let's do this. We'll take a break. We'll come back with Ashley Cook. We'd only plan one segment.
But sometimes you're just like, let's keep going.
Now, Ashley Cook.
Do you still drive a Jeep?
I do.
I actually just got a new one.
Nice.
I'm kind of mad, though, because it's stock right now, and I want to lift it so bad.
But then you have to give it up for a little bit to lift.
But if you're on the road, you could probably...
That's what I'm saying.
I might just, like, drop it off for like four days, get it lifted.
I hate it being stock.
And my Bronco that's out there.
Did you see it?
No, I haven't seen it.
It's out in the garage.
It's lifted.
And it's hard for me to get in.
It's even harder for my wife to get in.
Do you want it that tall?
I don't know, I want like a 3.75.
Oh, that means, I know nothing.
Do you know how high your brother's lifted?
I know nothing.
I literally have nothing.
So mine always was 3.75 because it's like parking garages with the four inch left is too high.
So like right under that you can get in those like city parking garages.
So wait, you had a Jeep that was just low enough to get in parking garages.
Correct.
Do you research Bobby?
Come on.
You know, I didn't research how tall was Ashley's Jeep.
Do you do the duck thing?
Oh yeah.
Actually, so it's fun now.
At shows, people have started to bring me rubber ducks with like the Sharpie of what show they
were at. It's become like a fan thing. That's cool.
Until they throw them at you. I mean, honestly, we're not at that point, but we'll see what
happens. Ashley Cook is here. It's International Women's Day and they were like, who do you
want to bring up and celebrate? And you were the first person not thought of.
Thank you so much. It's just been really cool to watch you turn into a little superstar here.
So what do you want to do? Do another song. Okay. This is on the fly, but I think we're going to do
this song called Getting Into. It's kind of about like what it's like to date me, if you will.
That feels weird.
I feel like another song
All right, here you go Ashley.
Nice job, Ashley.
Thank you so much.
So that song's about dating you, as you said.
You do a lot of Q&As on your Instagram.
How many of the questions are?
Are you still single?
Constantly.
All?
Constantly.
Do you just ignore them?
Absolutely.
I feel like, you know, because of social media
and just my life being so public now,
it's good to keep some things private, so.
Yeah.
Well, yeah, there's a different stream.
Privacy and secrecy.
Here come the questions from Bobby about who I'm dating.
Let's go.
Not even going to do it.
I love that.
You're going out with Brett Young on his tour.
You're on that, what is that called?
Five-four, Tour-2-2-2.
I don't, see, it's all weird.
We say it wrong every time.
I think it's five-tour three-one.
Yeah, five-tour-three-one.
Say this to him when you see him next time.
That's a terrible name for a tour.
I just try to say, it's just hard.
Is it counting down?
I don't know what's going on.
That one song of his, the five-four-three-two.
It's that.
And call it that.
Five-four-three-one tour.
Five-tour three-two.
It's a play.
On.
No, I get it.
It's too many syllables, too.
I'll tell him.
So Bobby hates your tour name, Brett.
Yes, yes.
How's his catering?
Probably not as good as Cole.
It's pretty good.
Really?
Yeah, I mean, they're all pretty good.
No, who's better at Cole or Brett's food?
Probably Cole.
I'd say Cole.
I don't know, Chons, what do you think?
He's one on the road with this.
Honestly, Luke Ryan.
Luke Ryan's catering.
Top notch.
It's a good answer because you should say Brett because you're on it,
but Cole because that's honest.
But Luke is the good answer because, you know,
his is the biggest.
We're also touring with Luke.
too.
So we're kind of, you know.
Luke's a good dude.
He'd understand.
Yeah.
He'd be like, my actually, you don't like my turkey or what?
So I got a couple other things here for you.
Lunchbox has a crossword puzzle every time an artist performs because he doesn't know what to do.
He doesn't know where to look or how to react.
Yeah.
Are you doing a crossword right now as we speak?
100%.
You want to give her one?
Yeah, I mean, I wish we could have got this sooner because I'm getting timed and I'm running out of time here.
I'm 25 across long lock of hair.
It's a five-letter word.
And it starts with a T.
Long lock of hair.
A T.
Are you sure I start to the T?
Yeah.
That T made me wrong.
That's right.
T-A-S-S-L-E.
That's six.
A long lock of hair?
I don't know that that's hair.
That says long lock of hair.
25 across.
It starts at the T.
Yeah, be sure to tell us 25 across again.
Is it Strand?
I'll be sure the T's right.
Yeah, because 25 down is bed size and it's twin.
Okay.
T-T-T-T-tassel.
Tangle
T-T-N-G-L
T-A-N-G-L
A long walk of hair
I don't know anything about hair
I don't know anything about hair
I think extension
A what
T-R-S
How you spell that
T-R-E-S
That's it
Is that a long lock of hair
Wow
I don't know what that is
It's pretty good of vocabulary
Back in the day
I don't even know that word
I have long hair
That's why I was struggling
I was stuck
Also some of Ashley's team knew that too
I saw them raise their arms up
When I said so it's not okay
They're screaming
They're like
The sky's stress.
Okay, Ashley, so what do you do the rest of the day?
It's early now.
It's morning.
So what do you do now the rest of the day?
I'm going to go run some songs for C to C.
I'm doing this like European festival, UK festival.
What's that mean run some songs?
Like play down some songs.
Just like run.
Play down, don't know.
You got to keep going.
Play the guitar and sing some songs.
Got it.
Plan out what we're going to do.
How we're going to do them.
Stuff like that.
Your biggest hero in life is your?
Oh, my mom.
I'm going to be basic and say it.
Okay.
Well, if it's true.
I mean, it is true.
She's incredible.
the most amazing woman.
Your favorite dessert is?
Keelan pie.
Really?
100% no doubt.
That came off quicker than your mom.
You're like,
Keyline pie.
Yeah.
One final thing I'll ask you about,
it said you lived in like 19 homes
before you were 18 years old.
Yeah.
Why did you move around so much?
I got into music really young
and my dad's job.
He was a corporate guy,
so he traveled around for that.
My sister was in acting when I was a kid,
so it was kind of drug along
as like the little sister in the audition rooms.
It was kind of always around entertainment
but we just moved around a lot.
What skill did that give you now as an adult?
I think people skills, honestly.
I feel like I just like to talk to people and meet people
and I can talk to a brick wall
and I think that's something that most kids don't really get, you know,
acclimated to.
Good brick walls to talk to?
I didn't get, yeah, for sure.
And also just like being okay in unfamiliar places,
feeling comfortable and at home on the road
because I was on the road as a kid, you know?

Hey, thank you guys for being here.
time for the news.
Bobby's Big.
Stories.
A motorist who got stuck in the snow while traveling through an Oregon forest, which, by the way,
no cell service, saved himself by attaching his cell phone to his drone so it could reach cell service.
Oh, wow.
He attached it, flew it up.
Got a few bars, and that's how they found him.
Well, okay.
But how do you talk?
Do you talk to it?
Yeah, he yelled, Eddie.
He yelled.
Help!
Your way up there.
His text.
The unidentified man had gotten stuck in his vehicle.
It was in the National Forest.
His entire family was out of the country.
Nobody knew where he was.
Well, he set himself up for failure in every way.
Bad idea.
Unable to find service, he wrote out a text message to a friend with his exact location.
And then he clipped it to his drone and flew it up so high that it could finally connect to a cell tower.
The move not only saved his life, but also led rescuers to a different motorist who had been stranded nearby as well through several days.
Who did not have a drone?
Who, yeah, it was drone free.
Wow.
So if you send a text and then you fly it up,
you kind of got to move somewhat quickly
because it'll do that little blue line
where it's like trying, trying, trying,
trying, trying, boom, red exclamation point
because it didn't go.
Yeah.
But if you get it up in 15 to 20 seconds
and then you want to hope it comes back down to you
because what if it doesn't connect
and it flies away and you never find it?
But that's pretty good thinking by this guy, huh?
Really smart.
Also in the news, a man in front.
Florida heard a noise at his front door. It's like a
what is that? It wasn't a knock
or was it a package?
You know, sometimes you order food
or Amazon, you can kind of hear him rustling around.
And so he opens a door and as soon as he
opens it, something bit his leg. He's like
an alligator. His alligator's front door.
What? He's fine.
The alligator had to be euthanized.
A Daytona Beach man was attacked by a male alligator that
showed up at his front door. The alligator,
eight feet long. Oh my goodness.
Was caught by Florida Fish and Wildlife.
They had euthanuts.
Isaac because it was angry.
I felt bad for the alligator too.
He's probably hungry.
Yeah.
Hungry or angry or sick, right?
Those are the reasons that most animals attack.
Angry can be threatened.
Like if their kids are threatened or they're threatened.
But yeah, so they responded to a noise at the front door.
They opened it thinking, okay, what's the package?
And then the upper thigh, the alligator was that tall.
Oh, man.
Right on it.
I mean, did they just not look down at all?
Yeah, I guess not.
I mean, I never opened the door looking at clouds.
Well, let me see what's up there when I opened the door.
And if it's a package, I'm probably looking down, right?
Alligator got it, man.
Good thing that they're okay.
Well, yeah.
Can you imagine trying to shake an alligator off your thigh just eight feet long?
No, no.
What do you just start poking?
No, g-kn-kn-kn-poking the eyes, like three stooges, two fingers.
That's from News Journal Online.
So this person that won the $2 billion Power Bowl,
it's the first time I've ever seen this.
They show the home they bought.
It's a $25 million home.
them. Yes.
And it's a mansion in Hollywood.
Now, a lot of times, people to win the powerball are from small towns.
And they don't want to move to Hollywood.
They want a big piece of land, big farm, big property.
Well, $25.5 million was the selling price that Edwin Castro paid.
He won November's jackpot, and he hit, well, the lottery.
13,578 square foot, that's the size of the house.
in the hills of Los Angeles
I mean
after taxes that $2 billion
ended up being $997 million
And he paid $25 million
And the home is awesome
And it's so cool man
His house is next to Jimmy Kimmel
Ariana Grande
It's a three-story
Infinity pool full outdoor kitchen
Jim wine cellar movie theater
Sana it's got a deck on the roof
You want to just look out over the hills
This is the guy that's getting sued though
We talked about it
Remember because the guy's like he stole the ticket from me?
Yeah.
And we're like, just look at the gas station camera.
We'll figure out who it is.
But they're confident.
He's the real winner and he just bought this house.
I love to see what people spend their money on.
And that is awesome.
That's a good purchase.
Hey, it is an investment in property.
TMZ.
And that's the next story.
What do rich people invest in?
Wow.
That's the question.
This is from status to dot com.
Rich people invest in.
Cars.
Real estate.
No, cars.
is terrible.
James.
Jay Leno has a lot of them.
Yeah, but he's so rich doesn't matter.
That's his hobby.
And those are old.
Anyway, I'm moving on.
I'm not fighting.
Stocks.
Okay, real estate.
There's some stock, but no, no, no, let me just read you.
Let me read you guys.
Rich people invest in property and houses the most.
Bam.
Which is the most lucrative of investments.
Yeah.
Next up is luxury items that they know will continue to rise in value.
Like paintings?
Well, the most.
Statutes.
Oh my gosh.
I'm about to rip this microphone off and throw to the wall.
The most lucrative luxury investment right now, rare whiskey bottles?
Does that mean there's whiskey in the bottle?
Yeah, Pappy Van Winkle.
Well, that's an expensive.
I don't think that's rare.
I don't think it's rare.
I think it's expensive, right?
I think you're right.
I think the rare is old.
But my question is, when it says bottles, but that's with the alcohol in it, right?
Absolutely.
It says the value has increased 373% over the last 10 years.
Wow.
Also,
Watches?
Huh?
So I need to start buying watches?
Expensive watches.
Go up in value.
Did you know this about expensive watches?
Did you know Rolex as a nonprofit?
No chance.
No.
What do you mean it's nonprofit?
They don't make money?
If you buy a Rolex, you can write it off as a donation?
No. I don't think you can do that.
Maybe that's so smart.
I don't think it's a 501c3.
Mike, when you look that up, I don't think Rolex makes any money.
That's crazy.
Here we go. Rolex.
Oh, here we go.
Rolex is in fact a nonprofit.
All the money they make, they give back.
Really?
Rolex is a nonprofit and donates money back to the community.
They have to pay their people that work there, obviously, but they're not profiting, which I thought was, I had no idea.
You know what I love more about it is that I had no idea.
They don't say that.
That's true too.
Someone told me that, and I was like, wow.
Like that's not on their sign.
And most people, like Chris Rock said, they have a sign outside going.
Okay, wait, so explain to me why.
Did you watch a new Chris Rock special?
I love it. People were hating on it. It was really funny.
I loved it.
Yeah.
Explain to me why if they're a nonprofit and they're donating, why you can't.
I don't know that rule.
I just someone told me and I wasn't even for sure.
I just set it on the air.
And you're buying their product.
You're not donating to them.
Yeah, you actually have something from it.
So I'm rolling.
It's okay.
So here you go.
That's a great point.
Like girls got cookies.
No.
I don't know that they're.
For example, if you are in a charity auction, I have two pair of shoes at my house that I bought in a charity auction years ago.
Just refound them.
I got a pair of LeBron.
own shoes signed and a pair of Kevin Durant game played in shoes signed.
When the bronze with the cabs and Kevin Durant was with the Thunder.
Now, I paid, I don't know what I paid for at the charity auction.
It's been years.
But whatever I paid for it, it's the value, first of all that you're getting from it and then you can write off the rest.
So if your value of the watch is $10, you can't write up anything.
The value is part of it.
Got it.
I'm terrible talking about money because I don't really know much about it.
That makes sense.
I'm so confused on how they do this because Rolex, they make revenue, but the revenue, they pay the salaries of the watchmakers,
their operating expenses, and their manufacturing costs, but all the rest of the funds are going back into a secret list of charities and then back into the bank to make sure they can cover other things.
Even more intriguing that it's a secret list of charities.
Well, they don't want it to be known what they're, but they do have independent people that watch and make sure the money goes.
But also by being a non-profit, they don't have to pay taxes.
That's the cool part.
I don't know that that's true.
It's true right here.
According to Swiss law, this means that.
They don't pay taxes.
Rock and roll.
I'm a nonprofit.
That's so legit.
Is that what the case?
I'm a church.
Yeah.
Church doesn't have to reveal how much money they make.
That's why some people turn into churches.
Dude, that people do.
And I'm telling you, some of the rich church.
They make them.
Some of the rich church folks.
Then they're like eight jets and church.
We don't know how much money they make because they don't have to tell us.
When the Rembrand church, she started off as like her husband was a pastor,
but then she got this idea of like, oh, I'm going to do this weight loss thing.
And then she became the head of it.
And then she's like, oh.
Watch this. I'm going to just form my own church.
You know what? Church of Bobby Day Saints. Welcome to it, everybody.
By the way, if we're a little bit inaccurate about some of this stuff,
sue us.
Especially when we're talking about Gwen. We're going all at the dome here.
We're learning as we go.
The last time Amy talked about Gwen, NPR did a story about her talking about how she was full of crap.
Yeah, because I heard she was alive.
You heard.
Also, things art. They say rich people invest in art.
And not cars. Cars, we need them, but they're bad invest.
because you don't get more, but super classic cars.
Like anything 50 to 60 years old that is considered cool.
Got it.
Right.
Okay.
Moving on.
Bare minimal Mondays are a new workplace trend.
All right.
It's opposite around here.
Mondays are heavy.
Mondays are tough.
Mondays are our hardest day because I'm like, we got to get so much done for the week
because if something happens, somebody gets sick or we need to be prepared.
So Mondays we're in.
Mondays are like, needs to.
sleep after Monday.
Yeah, most of us,
Lunchbox, not so much, but yeah.
He does okay.
He shows up.
Lunchbox does bare minimum Monday.
No, no, that's not true.
I don't, lunchbox, that is not fair.
You do not do bare minimum every day.
Fox 7 has that story.
That was rude.
I thought you're going to go to my defense there.
No, so did I.
I constantly go to your defense, but, you know,
you're expecting me to zig, I zagged.
There's a new world record for push-ups.
A Florida man said a Guinness World Record.
He did 3,264 push-ups in one hour.
Wow.
One hour!
How does he even keep
One hour?
That's insane.
They're going to say one day.
Funko is dumping 30 million bucks
and unsold dolls.
So they have all these dolls.
They're all these dolls.
Yeah, those are cool.
You ever see them in a box?
Okay.
So they're really cool for a minute.
Then they made too many.
And the reason they're dumping
$30 million into landfills
is because they need the storage space
for other things.
We don't want to pay the warehouse.
We'll lose the money about paying
to keep them in a warehouse.
That's terrible.
Throw them all away.
And then finally,
everybody has go-to clothing they feel best in
this is from the psychology of fashion
I think mine is a shirt
a cut off shirt no sleeves
pair of baggy shorts
and they cut off shirts a little big so you don't see my gut
is it wait sorry did you say comfortable in or most confident
best in okay best just best in general
I rock a cutoff all day er day
my wife knows it there's a life on my any shirt t-shirt I get
I like it I wear it
after a while
there's no sleeves left in
I don't even tell her.
Just surprise.
Amy, you?
Clothing you feel best in?
Oh, I mean, when I'm comfy for sure.
So I love athleisure.
Like, I feel my best.
Yeah, I like adleisure as well.
All right, that's the new.
Those were Bobby's big.
Stories.
Earlier in the show, we addressed an email from a listener, and they were like,
hey, I'm thinking about taking an IQ test against my husband.
Because he always says he's smarter, I don't think he is.
What you think?
I was like, it's a bad idea.
Because if he wins, it'd be miserable.
for you. And if he loses, he'll have
10,000 excuses and they'll be miserable for you.
And then
he says, I'm smarter. I'm sorry.
I don't think that's a, maybe you do like
IQ Olympics, you do different things, like
seven things so you find it. I don't think
this is the thing to do. Well, we're talking about it
here on the show and
we're like Eddie versus lunchbox and then
Ray and finally I said, okay, 100 bucks
to whomever scores the highest on the IQ test.
Come on. So, after
the show today, you'll be
taking a test. It takes about 20 minutes.
It will be completely legit with it.
It's on paper.
And then Mike D. will grade them.
And then that's it.
And if you'd like to, we can make sure Mike D doesn't know whose test he's grading.
I like that.
Therefore, but all the answers are going to be.
I was going to say my handwriting.
You'll be able to tell.
Well, I don't think there's an essay.
Can you imagine if lunchbox I write an essay?
So an IQ test.
It measures a person's mental ability as compared to others of the same age.
And it's also potential, right?
You could have a crazy good IQ, but it doesn't mean you're that smart.
It means you have the ability to be that smart.
You're usually pretty smart if you have a high IQ.
But it's mostly like you can get really smart.
So what we're going to do today is this test.
And we need to know who's taking it, first of all.
So if I call your name, just tell me if you're taking the test yes or no.
Okay.
Remember, finish first, $100 bucks.
Yeah, I'm taking it.
And I googled how to do good on an IQ test.
Adaboy.
Eddie.
Yes.
Okay.
Morgan.
Yep, I'm taking it.
Ray?
Absolutely.
I need the money.
Well, that's a different conversation we can have off the air.
But, okay, good for you.
He needs it.
Scuba.
I'll take it because I committed earlier, so I'm in.
This is like the husband and wife on scuba,
because if you get beat by any of these.
I know, I thought about that.
They're just going to hold it against.
There's nothing to gain and everything to lose,
but if you still want to do it, let it rip.
So I committed earlier, and so I'm a man of my word,
so I got to stay in.
Oh, that's going to be embarrassing
I know 100 bucks is the prize
But you gotta get respect too, right?
Oh, yeah
Like, y'all better respect me if I win
You know what you should do?
We should get a graduation cap
And they get to wear it
That's cool
With a tassel
Yeah, for like the whole show
For like a week or something
Yeah, that's awesome
The winner gets a graduation cap
Um
Amy
Heck no
Oh, Amy
Come on
Y'all are not gonna
scare me into taking this test
No, you're scared to take
Because you know you're gonna get beat
I would not do this with
a spouse, a friend.
Well, y'all,
you just said it's a bad idea.
Amy, come on.
Yeah, it's a bad idea to be in this room.
They didn't have money yet for drugs.
Okay, so you're out.
It's $100, Amy.
Okay, Abby.
Yeah.
Oh.
I'm curious.
Okay.
Where I stand.
Boom.
Okay, so we have one, two, three.
We have six people that are going to take it.
Yeah.
After the show today, it'll take like 20 minutes.
Oh, that's it.
You said nine questions.
It'll take, okay, I'm sorry.
50 minutes.
Hey, there's no math in here, right?
Like, square roots and stuff.
Like, what is, like, I don't know what to do.
Is it?
I thought you Googled.
Is it square roots?
It says, read the instructions carefully,
calculate your time, skip the hard questions.
That's how you're going to do good?
That's only nine questions.
So you skip the hard questions, you might do one.
It literally said that's the tips for taking my Q test.
So if you score 1.30 and above,
I think that's Mincea.
Like, 132 and above, you'll be Minta.
Wow.
And we'll submit you.
What does that mean?
Because in Spanish, that's not good.
Good. What's Minsa mean in Spanish?
Like dumb.
Okay. Menzel.
Minsel?
Yeah.
But this Mensa.
Okay.
So two different words.
Female dumb.
One, 120 to 30 is superior.
111 to 120's high average, 90 to 110's average.
80 to 89 is low average.
70 to 79's borderline.
And under 70s extremely low.
Guys, watch me get high hundreds.
I know.
My parents told me there from Mitzza as a kid.
I promise you there will be no bit involved.
Meaning, we're not going to mess with the scores.
We're not going to.
lie and be like lunchbox one
you don't have to lie right no but I'm saying
as God is my witness
strike me down if we do
there will be no like tricks
question are you going to announce the winner first or
dead last first? I don't know we got to
oh not the winner not the winner
we got to dead last the dumbest
what I would what I would
like yeah the dumbest well Amy's the dumb
Mike and I will talk about the strategy of the reveal
okay but I think what you don't want to do is reveal
the I don't say dumbest
Don't say that.
You don't want to reveal bottom and top at the beginning.
Okay.
You kind of just want to reveal the guts.
Okay.
And say, like, hey, in third place, I'll just say Eddie, because I'm looking at him.
In third place, Eddie.
And so you didn't lose anything, but you're still wondering who's the dumbest, who's smartest.
Is this multiple choice?
Yeah.
That's a great question.
Let's go.
30 questions.
So is it smarter to just get C on all of them or is it to jump around?
Yeah, lunchboxes do that.
Why are you rubbing your beer?
Like, I'm trying to think of which one.
Okay, we're done.
So we will do this after the.
the show today. As soon as it's over, everybody will be split up
separately. You'll take the test. You'll have administrators
walking around making sure. And Amy,
since you're not going to take it,
maybe you walk around and make sure that they're not cheating.
On the proctor?
Well, Mike's the proctor.
But we have seven of these folks.
I'm the enforcer. Yeah, we like that.
Your hall monitor.
Okay. You're a crossing guard.
Street patrol. I need a ruler.
Tomorrow, we'll have the results. Good, everybody?
Yeah.
Come on.
International Women's Day
On the Bobby Bones show
Here we are, International Women's Day,
and we've been celebrating it today,
and I ask you guys,
name a woman in your life
that has inspired you,
made you better,
helped you,
Amy Go.
Well, I mean,
the first reason that comes to mind right now
is my sister.
Like, I've just had so many good talks with her lately
where she's such an encouragement
and she has so much wisdom.
And it's like sneaky wisdom, too.
Well, I love sneaky wisdom.
Right.
Sometimes I'm not expecting it and then you'll hit me with something,
like a book she just finished that inspired her,
and then she shares that with me.
And she's just a good listener too.
So sometimes she's there so I can vent.
And then other times she's like, okay, now do you want me to tell you what I got to say about that?
Or do you want me to just listen?
And so I love that.
Yeah.
There's a fine line, too, between a good listener and someone who's not listening.
Because sometimes I'll just zone out.
And it's like, hey, you're a really good listener.
I didn't even want to say.
I can't tell you what you just said.
Because I just happen to zone out.
and so, but if she's actually listening and not zoning, good for her.
No, she does.
I know, because my brain, like, my ADD is like,
lots of things, but she's, she didn't get that.
My grandma was not alive anymore.
It was a big part of my life.
One, she adopted me for years when I don't know where my biological parents were at that time.
So that was massive.
And then I lived with her more than anybody else when you just add up the years of where I lived.
And I never actually had my own bedroom ever growing up,
but I did share a bedroom with my grandma a lot.
If only had two bedrooms, mom, sister shared one.
My grandma and I shared one.
When we lived together, you know, she was awesome.
And she was funny.
And I watched her learn how to play guitar in church with never having played guitar before.
She just was like, I let's see if this works.
And I was like, dang, that's so cool.
Like you just figure stuff out.
Like she grew up in the depression.
And her husband, my grandfather, who I never knew, died when my mom was eight.
And so she had to raise all these kids by herself.
And so even thinking back about that, it's like, man, like that is, that is strength, that's perseverance.
We lived off for her welfare check for a long time because she was 70.
She couldn't work.
And she can make food out of anything.
We'd look in the cabinet, there'd be a spider on a rock, and all of a sudden we'd have some sort of soup.
Spider rock suit.
Well, it just, you know she can make it out of anything, learn how to survive.
So I would say my grandma is just a big, big, big, big part of my life.
And even my wife now, which what's crazy to see about her is like how smart and dedicated that she is, right?
She, you know, goes to college in Oklahoma graduates.
Great.
She goes and gets crazy.
Good job.
She's super smart in like oil and gas.
And she's doing that.
She's like, I'm not really fulfilled.
She goes back and gets her master's degree at like Cal State, finishes first in her class at a major unit.
Number one in her class.
She wouldn't even tell me about it.
I just happened to find out about it.
And so to watch her do that.
and, you know, and even what she's doing now, which I am I going to talk about that, that's her story to tell.
Even what she's doing now, I was like, how did you even do that?
I didn't even know that you could do that.
And so that's inspiring because there isn't anything that she feels like with hard work and dedication that she can't take on.
And I think me, I'm, my success is fear-based because I don't want to go back to like how I used to be for me.
her success is like
there's nothing I can't take on
and eventually figure out
and so it's a good
ying to my yang
and I don't like arguing with her
because she's just smarter than I am
I've never had that happen and it's so
annoying
but you love it
and her memory no not that part no
her memory is a rock
it's crazy so those two
my grandma and my wife
for those different reasons
have been
just wildly influential and you just look and go, man, that's just so cool.
How do you do that?
Eddie?
Oh, my wife, 100%.
I mean, she has the biggest heart of anyone I've ever met in my life.
I mean, if we wouldn't have our two kids that we've adopted, if it wasn't for her,
her faith in God is unbelievable.
It's next level.
Like, it's just she has a way of making me look at things because I'm a panicker.
Like stress happens, something car breaks down.
just like, oh my God, what do we do?
What do we do?
She's like, stop.
Let's analyze, see what we have to do and do it.
And it's just like, wow, that was easy.
Her patience with our kids, again, next level.
Like, she's just an amazing woman, and I wouldn't be here without her.
Who knows where my life would be?
Honestly, I'd probably be in a bad, dark place for her.
Yeah, she got a big old heart.
I mean, amazing.
You know, she was working as a CPS, child protective.
She was a caseworker.
That's what she did.
How do you even do that?
Yeah.
I thought also, you were going to, my wife's like, stop,
drop shut them down open up shop
I'm like dang your wife is DMX
yeah come on
lunch box
I guess my mom I mean she's pretty legit
I mean she was always there
for us as kids always there helping
made sure we were always having a good time
she brought the fun she comes up
with fun games activities always
keeping us entertained she does the same thing with the grandkids
and I guess my wife also
because without her I wouldn't have three kids so
no it's pretty good
you should write that as a poem handed to her
Beautiful, man.
Dear wife.
Beautiful.
Without you, we wouldn't have three kids.
Signed, lunchbox.
It's true.
Was your dad fun?
My dad was fun, but my mom was the more fun.
Like Easter, she'd put bunny ears and rabbit tails and everybody,
and we'd hop around.
And, I mean, she just comes up with games and science projects and just, like, activities.
She's more of the, yes.
And she'd stay up and do homework with us.
Like, if we had to go to bed, she'd finish our projects for us.
Really?
I mean, it was awesome.
She would finish.
If he had to go to bed.
He'd wake up and it was done.
So if you had a science fair project due and you weren't done, but I'm a little sleepy.
You go to bed, she just finishes it?
Yeah.
And homework too.
Not really homework, more big projects.
You feel like that's influenced you even to this day where if it's like, it's not done, who cares?
I think it's a good influence.
Like, you know, don't stress it.
No, it's loving.
It's love.
Like, she used to work at the Alzheimer's home with patients.
Like Alzheimer's disease?
Yeah.
And she put on the Olympics, like for the old people community,
like the nursing homes would all get together and she'd come up with all the games
and they'd play like wheelchair games.
That's fun.
That's awesome.
Yeah.
I like the fact that you could just go, I'm sleepy and then she had finished her homework.
That's awesome.
My mom didn't do that.
Well, oh, I feel that.
I'm still waiting on a grade back from something.
Oh, that you did.
There we go, Amy.
Let's save that. Save that.
I'm not going to say which kid.
I don't want to get anybody in trouble, but I better get an eight.
I better.
Save that story because I want to hear it.
And it's with all the room to talk about it.
All right, thank you guys.
Bobby Bones Show.
Boney up the day.
This story comes us from Pennsylvania.
A 24-year-old man out for a walk and he realizes, man, my cell phone's dead.
Oh, there's a police station.
I can walk in there and use a charger.
So he walks in.
Hey, guys, my phone's dead.
And I borrow your charger.
Like, yeah.
Then they run his ID.
How's Warren's for his arrest?
Oh.
No.
I knew where that was going.
Did you?
Yeah, I did.
Do they run an idea of everybody who walks into the police station?
Or did he just look fishy?
Yeah, was he acting weird?
Did he have, like, tattoos on his neck that said, I did it?
I'm wanted.
Yeah, because I really don't think they check everybody that walks in, right?
Let's try it out.
But if Lunchbox went in, he has no warrants.
So we wouldn't know if they checked it.
Well, no, we would.
I would tell you, hey, they checked my ID, but I don't know they do.
I don't either.
But in Lunchbox did have, well, not warrants, but he had a charge of terroristic threatening for a while.
Yes.
But also, are we sure he doesn't have warrants right now?
We're not 100% on that.
Parking tickets, like unpaid bills.
Let's do it.
Let's do it.
Try it out.
All right.
I'm Lunchbox.
That's your Bonehead Story of the day.
The Bobby Bone Show.
International Women's Day.
So 29th floor of this building,
so it's a tall building, it's apartments.
Imagine you're opening the refrigerator
and you see like something
kind of jiggle behind it.
Like, what was that, like a rat or something?
And so you take the fridge,
you can kind of pull in a corner
and it moves somewhat easier
than you think it should.
So you pull it out and it's...
You ready for it?
Yeah.
It's a massive python.
Oh, lunchbox is through his head by the top.
Well, I asked Mike for this story during the break a minute ago, and I was like, I didn't say what the story was.
I just said 29th floor story.
This Python is this, it looks this thick.
Like, it looks like...
Gosh, that's big.
It looks like a huge tumbler thickness, like you drink out of.
And it looks like it is probably about 11 feet long.
Oh, my goodness.
How did it get up there?
Well, that's the thing.
So the Liberty Humane Society said the snake was found behind the refrigerator in this person's apartment.
The snake, it looks.
albino-ish. It's like white and very, very light yellow.
Turns out it's a piebald ball python.
It was dubbed banana by the rescuers.
And so they're looking for someone who lost their snake or they're going to put it up for adoption.
Now, the good news is, one, they saved it, and two, it's a ball python.
It ain't got hurt anything. It's going to try to eat rats.
I ain't going to try to kill a human. I ain't going to bite a human.
Oh, okay. They don't squeeze you.
You can squeeze a human to death.
Not really this one. Those are mostly if you're trapped in the jungle in the app.
But yes.
No, sometimes they turn on you.
Bythons do, well, everybody turns on you.
Like, I expect you to turn on me at some point in life.
A2 Brutei?
What?
No.
At some point.
Exactly.
That's right.
You either die a hero or live long enough to be a villain.
I mean, just imagine if this dude's asleep in his apartment.
It's not going to kill him.
It's a bad guy.
And that slizzes up on him and a right around his neck.
That is not going to happen with this snake.
All snakes aren't bad.
It is very rare that pythons kill humans.
It is not unheard of because anything, a toddler can kill a human.
it's the right circumstance.
Really?
How?
Oh yeah.
It doesn't matter.
I'm just saying.
So it happens if, I mean, I guess circumstances have to be just right.
Like it's a hungry snake.
It's a snake that is a bit aggressive because it's hungry.
It's got to be right next to a human.
The human's got to be basically drunk and not knowing there's a snake crawling on it.
If it's hugging, say it wraps around your waist, it's like hugging you,
but then it squeezes your tight, it breaks your ribs.
That snake's going to be that strong.
It's got to be huge to be.
be that strong to break ribs.
Well, I mean, that thing is...
Yeah, but I'm telling
that snake is not going to break your ribs.
Okay, okay, okay, okay.
You guys think it's in some sort of like trash compactor.
This guy's, like that kind of strength.
Snakes got a raw deal, man.
I'm going to tell you why they got a raw deal.
Because they're terrible.
No, a little something called...
The Bible.
Adam and Eve.
That's right.
Snakes got a raw deal.
If we didn't have snakes,
we'd be overrun with all kind of varmits.
I'm just not into them anyway.
Yeah, because you've been taught to...
Listen, I'm not either.
But it's because you've been taught to.
I grew up around the...
snakes, you know, I had snakes hit my
boots constantly when we're out hunting.
And they never, unless they're hungry or aggressive,
they're never attacking. Even water moccasins, which are the
worst. They are aggressive-ish.
They're the worst.
Everybody else wants to chill and do their own thing,
and if you bother them, maybe they bother you.
Water marquins will come at you a little bit
if they feel like there's something to see.
But you're right. Most snakes
go the other way. Absolutely.
And then we like mess with them.
You know, we're just scared. And then the one time
somebody gets got, they tell the story that $800
people in spreads.
They make TV shows about it.
That's it.
We're done.
We're out of here.
International Women's Day on the Bobby Bones show.
Hey, you guys.
This is Michelle Branch from The Records.
Someone who is massively influential to me growing up in Arizona is Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood
Mac as a kid, just knowing that someone played music and, you know, fronted a rock and roll
band in a time when you never really saw women fronting rock bands is so cool.
and given that she made it out of my home state
was really inspiring to me as a kid
and I still am a massive, massive fan of hers.
