Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed human. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me. Clivert Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits,
Starting point is 00:00:12 my basketball and college football journey, or my career in sports media. Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, the Clifers Show. This is a place for raw, unfills of conversations with athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated.
Starting point is 00:00:28 So let's get to it. Listen to the show. the Clifford show on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok podcast network on TikTok. When a group of women discover they've
Starting point is 00:00:41 all dated the same prolific con artist, they take matters into their own hands. I vowed. I will be his last target. He is not going to get away with this. He's going to get what he deserves. We always say that trust your girlfriends.
Starting point is 00:00:59 Listen to the Girlfriends, trust me, babe, on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I got you. I'm Agoode. My next guest, it's Will Ferrell. Woo, woo, woo, woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. He goes, just give it a shot. But if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar. of, you know, the cat just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be.
Starting point is 00:01:40 Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's happening, everybody? Welcome to Wednesday show. Morning, studio. Morning. Over on the phone is JW in North Carolina.
Starting point is 00:02:10 I had a quick question for you. I took my kids to my first concert I've been to in several years, but when the lead singers singing up there, they got earpieces in their ears. What are those earpieces for? Is it like they're playing their own music in there so they don't forget the words while they're up there singing?
Starting point is 00:02:30 No, so there are two ways when you're on stage to listen to the band play. One through monitors, which are speakers down below. But you've got to imagine if, and I don't know who you saw. Who'd you see, and where'd you see them? Leonard, Scattered and Greensboro, North Carolina. Okay, so there were thousands of people there, right?
Starting point is 00:02:45 So these speakers, they can either hear a speaker come through open air, which is just kind of like a broad version of what's happening behind them, like listening to a speaker in the backyard. Or they can put their ears in, which seal off sound, and you can hear every instrument being played in your ears so you can sing exactly to the music. And most people like ears. Some people like to have the monitors up front. Or some people, like when Eddie and I play, I like both because I like taking my ears out and then still. be able to have an idea of what's happening behind me. But all that is, is it's just all the band playing, basically headphones so they can hear it and seal off all the crowd. Now, the weird thing is, when people have their ears in and they're asking the crowd to sing along, they can't hear
Starting point is 00:03:29 the crowd sing along. Right. They'll put microphones sometimes in the crowd, but there's a delay on it coming back. So what those ears are, it's just so you can hear the band playing behind you and nothing else. At time, there's a microphone on the stage, a little inside baseball here. if you see a lead singer go back and talking to a microphone, like in the middle of the stage, but you don't hear it over the top, he's actually saying something to his band that only the band can hear in their ears.
Starting point is 00:03:53 And so he may go like, hey guys, we're going to not do song three. Instead, we're going to play Mary Had a Little Lamb. All right, let's go. He'll walk back to the main microphone. So that's what that is, J.W. It's just so he can hear the band better. I got you.
Starting point is 00:04:05 All right, cool. All right. Thank you for the call. Thanks, Billy. I appreciate it. Yep, see you. I think because I wear ears doing this show, I don't wear big headphones. Yeah. I think I'm losing my hearing.
Starting point is 00:04:15 What? I don't know if it's from years and years of headphones, or if it's from now I wear these ears for hours a day. But Kaelin will say something. It sounds like this. Like what? And I had the TV up loud. And he's like, why is a TV so loud?
Starting point is 00:04:31 I'm like, what do you mean? It's perfect. It's like right in the middle where it should be. So it could be a lot of factors. They weren't headphones forever. I don't know. But I can feel my hearing getting a little bit worse. Are you experiencing that at all?
Starting point is 00:04:47 I mean, I don't think I have hearing loss, but I do think I have to listen to things louder than anybody else in my home. Yeah. It could be years and years of headphones. Yeah. Eddie, you? Oh, for sure. Even not only do I need everything loud, when there's complete silence, I hear ringing.
Starting point is 00:05:04 That's crazy. That's not good. Sometimes when there's complete silence, someone's saying kill three people. Okay, no, that's crazy. I don't know. You guys don't hear someone whispering kill three people. Oh, yeah, I'm on it. I'm on it.
Starting point is 00:05:14 I mean, you guys are crazy. Who thinks that? Let's go over and open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah. Hello, Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 00:05:31 My question is, how do I ask for a raise from my boss when I don't see him in person? I used to work where his main office was, but now have moved to another look. location where I no longer see them. The raises I've gotten in the past have been in person, and that's what I believe the standard procedure is for asking for a raise. Is writing an email unprofessional? My last rates was two years ago, and I feel like I got some more experience, some more knowledge, and have put on more responsibility since then. Any advice on how to handle
Starting point is 00:06:02 this in a professional manner would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, signed Sparky. I think this is an issue too with folks now because of the pandemic more than just moving. Some people just don't go in anymore. And so you don't have that face-to-face time. And if you don't have face-to-face, I'm telling you it is going to be so hard to survive and thrive because so much is based off of interaction every single day. You can quickly be forgotten about. That being said, I don't think an email is the first route.
Starting point is 00:06:30 I think hitting them up on a Zoom. Yeah. Because that's as close as you can get to human personal contact. You can still see each other. You still have to make the eye contact. you can still have great strong body language, express how you feel with your tone of voice. So the first option is, hey, you might hop in on the Zoom with me. And if Zoom doesn't work, then you can put in an email, that's okay.
Starting point is 00:06:51 But before an email, I would even go phone route. And I hate the phone. I would go Zoom, phone, email, registered mail, psychic thought. That would be the order I would go. Channel it to them. Yes, it's, oh. Raise, raise, raise, raise. Yeah, but I think it's.
Starting point is 00:07:07 Yeah, you face to face. And that's what, I mean, think of, yeah, over the last two years how many important meetings and things have gone down over Zoom. And you still can have that feeling of face to face. But you're right. In order to be top of mind, it's a bummer too. You're not no longer even in the same building because, yeah, that's even just running into your, you know, people you work with at times can be helpful.
Starting point is 00:07:30 You know, the dynamic of a human relationship is the most important dynamic in anything, in a romantic relationship and a business relationship. because the first thing people want to do is protect the people they know and see and make them feel good and make them happy. That's just a general feeling. If anyone came and were like, all right, it's time to cut Eddie
Starting point is 00:07:45 and I'm like, because Eddie sucks at a job. No, no, it made me feel good. Yeah, because I see you every day. So I fight for Eddie, because I see Eddie eye to eye. So I would even encourage this, if possible, every six months or so, see if you can go to lunch with this dude or this lady, I think she may have said,
Starting point is 00:08:03 yeah, him, she said him. If you can, even that is a strong human bond. You don't work in the same place, but it's another location in town. See if you can go to lunch every six months. And what do you talk about at lunch? Who cares? Anything? It's just being in person and reminding them you are a human being, tell them out.
Starting point is 00:08:20 You know when someone's got a gun to their head and the person goes, I have kids. Oh, right. It's just reminding them that you are a human being. You're not just a number on a spreadsheet. Got it. So, okay, that's the list. Zoom, phone. email,
Starting point is 00:08:36 registered mail, psychic thought. Telegram. I mean, heck, do all five. What about, or if lunch doesn't work, could you arrange to go by that office one day for,
Starting point is 00:08:46 like if you say, hey, can we have a meeting, I'm willing to come there. I definitely wouldn't just do a pop-up. No, no, no surprise. Hello! Yeah, but good luck with that. Sparky.
Starting point is 00:08:55 It sounds like you know what you deserve and go get it. The hardest thing isn't to actually deserve a raise, it's to go and ask for it because it's an awkward situation. I mean, every day I come in, Ray's like, hey, I get a raise. Every day.
Starting point is 00:09:07 And you have to say no every time. Every day I say no. Yes, it's a weird situation. All right, thank you. Close it up. We've got your email and we've read it on the air. Now it's time to close Bobby's mail back. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:20 Hey, Scoo and Steve, we come to the microphone for a second? Yeah, what's up? Scoo and Steve's our executive producer. Do you remember the last week of high school back in the day and you'd be like, this sucks. I'm ready to graduate. I'm out. I'll just see you next year.
Starting point is 00:09:35 Are you suffering from that right now? It does feel like high school over again. That senior year you're almost done. You're ready to just get the heck out of here. Yeah, I feel those vibes. I ask because Eddie brought it up. He's over it. I mean, Steve's over it.
Starting point is 00:09:49 Like Scuba, you ask him anything? He says, I don't care, do whatever you want. I'm like, what? This is not Scuba. I think we called it senioritis? Yeah. Senioritis, yeah. I dealt with some crap this week,
Starting point is 00:09:59 and it kept me here one night to almost 1 a.m. dealing with something I should be dealing with. Yeah. Till 1 a.m. To 1 a.m. dealing with something that I should. Ray, I was, this is how, this is so great. So I finally got to see Ray's routine. So I'm sitting here working on something.
Starting point is 00:10:13 It's almost close to midnight. And I hear, Coach, what are you doing here? And it's Ray coming in. And so Ray comes in at that time and he like sets his bag down, takes his shoes off. He goes, hey, I'm going to go over here and take a nap on the couch. I'm going to close this door. So Ray goes asleep on the couch. And I'm over here working.
Starting point is 00:10:29 It was kind of weird, but cool to see that side of Ray. So you're up here for almost 24 hours? Almost 24 hours, yeah. Do I know why? I think you have an idea why. Wow, I had no idea. Well, because of all the extra hours, this is why we got you, what we got you for Christmas. Yes, that was really cool.
Starting point is 00:10:43 Thank you much. I really appreciate that. What did you get him? That's up to him if you want to share. An Oculus 2. Yeah, I got a Monoculus 3. Scooper, really, what did you get, man? I don't tell him.
Starting point is 00:10:53 It's between me and Bobby. Wow. What in the world? What? He's not the only one that puts in hours. Oh, yeah, dude. We don't see you at all. during those hours.
Starting point is 00:11:04 There's a three? No, there's not an Oculus 3. I was just making a joke. By the way, they got me an Oculus 2 for Christmas on Friday show. So, but after today, you're breaking it. I'm going to be here tomorrow and then I am breaking it. Then I'm out. Can Scuba say why he was here till 1?
Starting point is 00:11:21 I don't think he wants to on the air. Oh, sorry, I'm just still so curious. I don't know why. You're more interested in that than the gift? Yes. Oh. And I'll end with this for this segment. is this childish or is it a cool way to go out?
Starting point is 00:11:34 There's a guy who quits Target in a curse-filled rant on the loudspeaker. Now we did beep. The beep, you kind of lose a little effect, but here you go. Attention target guess. The time is now nine, whatever, and I quit. I'm quitting this job. Fuck that bitch, Jessica, and f*** your email.
Starting point is 00:11:53 And no lib, Linda, who said he's harassing the style team daily, which is why we call her that Karen Lucifer, Linda. and your mannequins look like and f*** me, Zolig because she's a shit boss and doesn't give a about her employees. I quit.
Starting point is 00:12:06 Now go write an email about that. If I heard that after, say you applied for a job with me and then I went and heard that or saw that, I'll be like, I'm not hiring this person. Of course. It's funny because we're playing it. We're like, aha.
Starting point is 00:12:21 But if this person wanted a job with me, no chance. Because if you can do that to them, he'll do that to me. The way to do it is like, hey, this is not a good environment for me. It's toxic for me. I do not like this.
Starting point is 00:12:31 people I'm working with, I'm out. And then you quit. You would say that on the loudspeaker. No, no, no, no. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Stay at home there's something good. Alan Taylor and his son, Zane,
Starting point is 00:12:45 we're at City Donuts, getting some nice little donuts, and Zane's standing off at the table. When Dad's paying, I'll take two glaze, two chocolate frosted, and he hears something in the background. He looks, and there's an out-of-control car heading for the restaurant,
Starting point is 00:12:58 and he runs, dives, tackles his four-year-old son just as the car comes crashing through the wall misses them by inches. Saves his son and City Donuts said Zane, you can have one donut every Saturday for the rest of your life. Okay.
Starting point is 00:13:14 I thought they were just going to say one donut, that's it. What's up with that car? I just says that someone hit the gas instead of the break. Yeah, so somebody old doing the wrong pedal. Yeah. Or somebody drunk or Amy because she just happens on her breath. So one of those three. Ah, good story.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Wow, that stinks. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th.
Starting point is 00:13:44 You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast,
Starting point is 00:13:58 The Clifford Show. This is a place for, raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield.
Starting point is 00:15:02 in this new season of The Girlfriends. Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no.
Starting point is 00:15:21 I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the Girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I'm Ego Wadam.
Starting point is 00:15:42 My next guest, you know from Step Brothers, Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. Woo, woo, woo, woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings.
Starting point is 00:16:04 I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration.
Starting point is 00:16:29 It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah. It would not be... Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. On the phone is Angela in Colorado.
Starting point is 00:16:50 I wanted your opinion and also wanted to ask the studio to help. So we have a 29-year-old son that has had four children. The first one was born in why he was in high school and we adopted him. He's 13 now. and then he married and had two more children, divorced that wife, and has gone on to his second wife and has a child. He has pretty much disowned all three of the older children. I felt that my son needed to know that he had other family in the world, so I introduced him this summer to his brother and sister, who are six and four. And my son contacted me and said that because I had contacted them,
Starting point is 00:17:36 he was disowning us and he cut us off. We're going to be in the Austin area of Texas for Christmas, and we thought maybe we should stop by his house, so we could see the fourth grandson. Okay, I'm a little lost here with kind of the pyramid here. Explain to me what's happening, Amy? Well, so she has custody of his first kid, who's 13, and then he got married and had two other kids,
Starting point is 00:18:01 but wasn't really involved with the 13-year-old at all. Well, she felt like the 13-year-old should know, the other brother and sister in his life. So she got them together for a meeting without his permission. Now I understand. Okay. And now you want to go and jump on the porch at Christmas. Right, because he said he saw that the meeting went down on Facebook and he got mad and said I'm cutting you all off.
Starting point is 00:18:22 You're out of my life. Okay. Well, I would say don't do it at Christmas. I know you're going to be in the area. And I know this is a really sensitive subject. it's family it's messy sometimes family is extremely messy
Starting point is 00:18:39 I don't know that I would use Christmas at the time to do that because it could actually ruin and hurt a lot of folks's holiday at the same time I do think that you need to try to reestablish that relationship with your son even if it is you saying hey we're going to do this
Starting point is 00:18:54 why is he so hurt why is he running so much that's a good question he's pretty much just disowned the three oldest children. He even tells people that the only child he has is the one that's with him now. I wonder if he's so embarrassed about
Starting point is 00:19:11 how he handled the earlier situations, the earlier children. I think that happened a lot with my biological father who I don't know. I think he became so humiliated how he handled it when he ran away at 17 years old and left me that he just then was like, not my kid, it was a way for him to cope
Starting point is 00:19:28 because he was so embarrassed. I wouldn't do it at Christmas. I'm not against you doing it at another time or trying to reestablish that relationship through different means, but I just don't think I would do it at Christmas. Okay, what about, it's kind of like she's saying, do we not do anything or do I show up on his porch and bombard him? I mean, maybe there's a, maybe there's a happy medium of if you do truly want to just let him know you care and you want to give a gift to the fourth grandbaby, you just drop a package off with a card and a thoughtful note on his porch and don't even make it a thing, but he'll know it's there. and he'll know you're still thinking of him, and the grandbaby gets the gift. Thoughts on that?
Starting point is 00:20:07 I mean, that's a way to go, I guess. I just wouldn't show up and do anything in person if he doesn't want it at the holiday. I think that's just too messy of a situation in general. It could get worse. I think you need to wade into this water because it is a deep pool, and it's going to take a lot of work.
Starting point is 00:20:26 It's going to take some swimming lessons. And so I would slowly wade into this, and I don't think the holidays is the time to do that. But I think Amy has a point. If you just want to show that you support the kid, you could drop it off, leave it a car. He could just not even give her the card. You know, if it's... Right, but if you want to, even if you have words for him, you could leave him a card and a gift.
Starting point is 00:20:44 And so that way, you've extended that, that branch to him that, like, you're his mom. You care about him. You care about this grandbaby. He is, again, we don't know the full story. But I feel like, yeah, he's running from something. And so while you, he may think he doesn't need you or family in his life, I think it'll mean more to know that y'all are still around if he ever does need you. And I'll say this, Angela, that later on in life, he's going to look back at this and realize he was a knucklehead
Starting point is 00:21:11 and he's going to have wished he would have handled it differently. And you could kind of be on the good side of that. You can help him realize that earlier. It isn't going to be pleasant. I think there are family members of mine, and not just with me, but with other members of my family, because again, I don't have that close to the family, except for my sister, who I've only recently, become un-estranged from in the past few years. I think they hate that fact that we were all so distant for so long because everybody was humiliated at the lives we were living. So he's eventually going to come back around and want all these relationships.
Starting point is 00:21:48 It can be up to you to start to string that together very slowly. Just don't expect it to happen immediately like this Christmas. I appreciate you guys. I know that ain't easiest answer. I know that's probably not what you wanted to hear. But hang in there. It's going to be a long, difficult road. but it will be a road that I do think eventually
Starting point is 00:22:03 you will get to the end of and you will get to be a family again. And if you don't for some reason, at least you tried and you won't look at yourself as someone who quit or didn't put in the effort. Good advice. I appreciate it. Thank you so much. Merry Christmas. Okay, good luck. That's tough.
Starting point is 00:22:19 It's tough for sure. All right, Angela, have a great day. Thank you for calling us and hopefully we'll get a good update in a couple years. Heck, hopefully we have a job for a couple years. Call us if we're still here. Otherwise, I'll have to call me at home. All right, thank you, Angela. All right, let's go around the room.
Starting point is 00:22:35 We will draft our favorite Christmas movies. Ramundo, you have the first pick in the Christmas movies draft. Go ahead. Don't know if this is the best, but my wife would kill me if I didn't because she quotes it all the time. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. All right. I'm going to go with the second pick. I'm going to go with Elf.
Starting point is 00:22:57 Yeah, that's good. Dang it. Those are two good ones. Yeah, I'm going to go with Elf. Amy? Home alone. You know, not a Christmas movie, so you're eliminated. Wow.
Starting point is 00:23:07 You've been, you've been just... But it is a Christmas movie. You can put whatever... Hey, you know what? If you wanted to put, born on the 4th of July, you could. But Home Alone is strong, and you know it. Don't hate. I would never pick that.
Starting point is 00:23:18 Okay? Well, I would. Because I am hating. Lunchbox. Man, I mean, it was tough. Uh, because Ray took National Lampoons. Oh, I know. I know what I'm going.
Starting point is 00:23:30 A Christmas story. Red Rider BB gun will shake your eye out, son. Eddie. Man, you guys took some good ones there. I'm going to go with Love Actually. Dang it.
Starting point is 00:23:44 I don't think I've ever seen it, but I know the ladies like it. I'm going to love actually. That was my wife. Okay. We all have our first. Now, equalize the first pick. Now we go backward. Eddie, you have the first pick of the second round.
Starting point is 00:23:57 Okay. Now we're talking. My favorite Christmas movie of all time from 1940 something. It's a wonderful life. Everyone loves it. Eddie has love actually and it's a wonderful life so far. Okay, lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:24:13 Oh man, you ever seen that one with Tim Allen called The Santa Claus? Shoot. That's a good one. Lunchbox has a Christmas story and the Santa Claus. That's what I wanted. Okay, I'm going to go four Christmases.
Starting point is 00:24:28 Is that a movie? What is that? With Reese Withersp. Oh, okay. And Vince Vaughn. Yeah, yeah. It's so good. I believe you.
Starting point is 00:24:36 I just didn't know if that was a movie or not. Or if it was like an internet bid or something. No, it's a movie. Highly successful, very good. So you have Home Alone and Four Christmases. Yes. Okay. It's over to me.
Starting point is 00:24:50 I'm going to go with how the Grinch stole Christmas. Dang it! Oh! I was my sleeper! You just sold that one. So I have Elf and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Ray? Miracle on 34th Street, the newer one. It was like 1994, not that old junk.
Starting point is 00:25:10 Well, just put them both day. You can just have the movie. All right, sounds good. Unless you just want to put not that old junk beside it. All right, Ray has Christmas vacation at Miracle on 34th Street. All right, we have one more round, guys. I'm going to be honest with you. I don't know that many movies, so I've run out of them. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:25:27 I'm struggling. I'm going to have to take Batman Forever, maybe. Yeah. Batman Forever. Oh, there's Die Hard. Yeah. Gremlins. Totally.
Starting point is 00:25:37 Like those on the edge type movies. Okay. Ray, last pick. Man. I want to say bad Santa, but you can't watch that with the kids. That one's really vulgar, and I think there's some bad stuff in it. But you can pick it if you want. Nah, I'm trying to go family style. People aren't going to know this one, but I'm telling you, it's awesome.
Starting point is 00:25:55 Watching it with your family and then vote. It is Daddy. That's not going to happen, but okay. Daddy's Home 2. Oh, so good. I mean, for whatever reason, it's never on any list. Me and my wife watch it every Christmas So Daddy's Home 2
Starting point is 00:26:07 That's funny Sounds like a movie that maybe you shouldn't watch With kids if you know what I'm saying No no no kids love it Yeah I'm just saying it sounds like It's good It's got Walberg in it Yeah yeah okay
Starting point is 00:26:17 Bunch of the stars So Ray's whole team is Christmas Vacation Miracle on 34th Street And Daddy's Home 2 Daddy's Home 1 didn't make it That one's not Christmas And you don't even have to watch that one to get to Okay
Starting point is 00:26:29 I'm gonna go with Oof I don't have Yeah, there's not a lot. I'm going to go with the holiday. Oh, yeah. I don't know what that is, but it's on my list because my wife has seen it, but I don't even know what it is. Yeah, I've heard of it.
Starting point is 00:26:48 Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think, is that the Jack Black one? Yeah. Okay. My team is Elf, How the Grint Stole Christmas and the Holiday. Amy? I'm going to go with, um, jingle all the way. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Starting point is 00:27:04 Yeah, that's a good one. Okay. lunchbox Man You know when I think of Christmas I think of Santa Claus And there's Santa Claus too There is Santa Claus too
Starting point is 00:27:21 But I'm not gonna do that I'm gonna do something called The Polar Express Dang it I knew it I knew he's gonna do that to me Is it oh yet? Yes! There's nothing left Bones I've never seen Polar Express I have a couple
Starting point is 00:27:33 There's some left There's some left Oh my gosh I'm next I mean, I have a Christmas carol. It's just the old Charles Dickens. Oh, that's stick in your wheelhouse. Tiny 10?
Starting point is 00:27:47 Tiny 10. Those are yours. So a Christmas Carol, am I the last one? Yeah. Or A nightmare before Christmas. I have nightmare before Christmas. I don't know, guys. I really have no clue.
Starting point is 00:27:59 What's good here? I'm left with nothing, so just give me a Christmas carol. What about Scrooge? See, I had that. With Bill Murray? It is so funny, and it's my first. father-in-law's favorite Christmas we watch it every Christmas, but I'm like, I don't know if enough people watch this.
Starting point is 00:28:13 A nightmare before Christmas, Grimlins, die hard, Batman Forever. I had all those. And Bad Santa was one of mine, Ray, but you're right. I was scared they was going to scare off the family. Is Batman Forever a Christmas movie? What did you say, Mike? I mean, yeah, it's a Christmas in it.
Starting point is 00:28:28 When I googled things, it popped up. So then you can't hate on Home Alone being on there. If you were going to choose die hard. I mean, that's a hill that I've already decided I'm going to die on. Okay. You just can't, yeah, so you're just sticking with it. I'm going to let that go, man. You know, you don't even agree with yourself anymore. Yes, I do. I agree with myself wholeheartedly. You know what? I support me. I'll be honest. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Well, so this is cool. A new report says that Keanu Reeves donated 70% of his Matrix salary to cancer research. Now, this is way back in the day. I think he got 10 million up front for the movie, 1999, and then 35 million when the movie became like a huge hit. So 70% of that. That's 31.5 million.
Starting point is 00:29:08 million dollars to leukemia research. What's wild is this is not a new story. I've seen it resurface, but it's part of the reason that people fell in love with Keanu early on is because this had been out there that he donated almost his whole check to cancer research. Well, so his sister, Kim, she had leukemia. So that's why he, it was so close to him. And she got, she from 1991 to 2001, she was dealing with it in 2000 on.
Starting point is 00:29:33 She's been in remission. But cancer research is still near and dear to his heart and he still supports it to this day. America's favorite actor. Yes. I've said that for a long time. Before it became cool to love Keanu, you got to make fun of me for loving Keanu. Admit it. Yeah, it's true.
Starting point is 00:29:46 I have. Thank you. And now who all loves Keanu? We do. All of us. Exactly. All right, what else? So, are you familiar with Tastovision?
Starting point is 00:29:55 Is it when you lick your TV? Yes. That's exactly what it is. Yes, this Japanese professor has invented a lickable TV screen that lets viewers taste food as they see it on TV. Weird? Yeah, I didn't know if you'd be into it. But it could work for like students
Starting point is 00:30:15 that are even taking cooking classes virtually. They can look and kind of taste things. Here's what I would want it to be if I were to take part in something like this. You would need to go and buy different film, like a clear film sheets. Yeah, it's on a film. Yeah, and then you lick it and then you peel it off.
Starting point is 00:30:32 Yeah. It's a film slide. And you lick it again, you peel it off, and then you put new film up after that. You can't just lick as everybody comes up and has a lick. Yeah, that's true. I don't know if it's like replaceable like you're saying. It has to be, right? Pretty neat. I mean, it could take cooking shows to like the next level. You could watch Top Chef and taste what they're making.
Starting point is 00:30:50 See, I mean, that's cool. You're thinking two, three years from now. I'm thinking 10 when you're in VR and you're eating using the licky screen. Oh, wow. You're seeing the food. You're licking the screen. You feel like you're actually eating. It's not a TV show. It's like living in the metaverse. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, so Marin Morris, she played a game of 21 questions, and I pulled some of the questions that I thought were interesting. And I'm going to read Marin's answer, but then Bobby, I also want you to answer it too. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:15 Favorite movie to watch over and over? Marin said Fight Club. I don't really watch movies over and over. I've watched The Office over and over, and if I, about once a year, I'll rewatch a man on the moon with Jim Carrey, just because it's my favorite movie. But I don't watch a movie over and over. Marin's biggest fear is cockroaches, yours. Oh, Heights. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:34 Wildest thing you've ever done, Marin said riding in a fighter jet with Thunderbirds. Probably skydiving. Yeah. I hated it. I hate heights. I did it without telling anyone, did it by myself.
Starting point is 00:31:44 A bad habit you've overcome. Marin said biting her nails. Getting angry and tweeting on Twitter. Oh, wow. Like fighting people on Twitter. I go after anybody. I stopped doing that. Weirdest thing in your closet,
Starting point is 00:31:55 Marin said a bunch of fake hair. Leotard from Dancing with the Stars that I wore on the show. Oh, yeah. Weird. Do you ever put that back on? No, but if you didn't know the story and you walked into my closet,
Starting point is 00:32:04 you would think either A, it's Caitlin's or B, I don't know if I want to know. That's what you'd think. Yeah, I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Amy.
Starting point is 00:32:18 Tell me something good. So there's this grandmother. She's been going to St. Mary's Church for years. She got married there. She witnessed her daughter's wedding there. A very special place to her. So when she heard they were going to knock it down, she was devastated.
Starting point is 00:32:35 Well, her daughter and her granddaughter, they were able to get a pew from the church and restore it and give it to her so she can have it forever. That's super cool. Here's the clip of her. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:32:58 Clearly an emotional gift, but super special. It's made me emotional. There you go. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. A win is a win. A win is a win.
Starting point is 00:33:10 I don't care what you'll say. Yep. That's me. me, Clifford Taylor the fourth. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.
Starting point is 00:33:29 This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. One week, I'll take you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment. and the next we'll talk about life, mental health, purpose, and even music. The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast, it's a space for honest conversations, stories that don't always get told, and for people who are chasing something bigger. So if you've ever supported me or you're just chasing down a dream, this is right where you need to be.
Starting point is 00:34:00 Listen to the Clifford Show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends...
Starting point is 00:34:34 Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target.
Starting point is 00:34:54 He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Ego Wode. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live and the Big Money Players Network.
Starting point is 00:35:20 It's Will Ferrell. Woo, woo, woo, woo, woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place they come, look for up and coming talent.
Starting point is 00:35:38 He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. and he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration.
Starting point is 00:35:59 It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Lunchbox traveled to Las Vegas last weekend for a work event, and you ran into singer-songwriter Travis Denning.
Starting point is 00:36:24 Yeah, I was walking. I was like, man, that looks like him at the normal airport, about to get on a southwest flight. Like, he flies normal planes, but, and so I went up and just, you know, kind of bombarded him. Here's a clip of Travis Denning song. I think it's funny that you feel like everybody's rich that's in music. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:43 I mean, when you got hits, you should be flying private. And I noticed him, really. You want to what made me notice him? Was his long hair? Because he's growing it out? Yeah, he's growing it out. And I was like, there's only one guy that has hair like that and it's Travis Denning. But more than one guy.
Starting point is 00:36:55 Yeah. Yes. Here is Lunchbox's one minute interview in the airport terminal. Man, it's long hair don't care. Travis Denning. Oh, my goodness. Damn right, baby. I got a question.
Starting point is 00:37:04 So you're going to Las Vegas. What are you going to do in Vegas? Do you play gamble? I do. I play craps. But I probably won't this trip because we're going to be there for like eight hours. Oh, that's it? Like, literally, well, I say, hey, we'll be there for like 12 or 14 hours.
Starting point is 00:37:18 We fly home at 6 a.m. tomorrow. Okay, cool. And I'm just glad to see you're keeping it real flying Southwest. You don't fly private. Yeah, absolutely. Well, this is private. It's just there's 160 other people. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:30 All right, Travis Denny. Thank you so much, man. Hey, good to see you. Good to see. It's a hearty laugh. Wow. Did he know he was being interviewed or was this a hidden? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:37:40 Nope. No, I feel like that. Oh, he didn't. He thought you were attacking him aggressively, just. in normal life. Wait. Just had my phone in my hand and what I did? Just start talking and get it going.
Starting point is 00:37:49 Wait. And then at the end, I told him thanks for the interview. Okay. Oh, my God. Yeah. Well, I don't know. Now I'm just, I figured luncheucks had his phone out and he's like, hey, you mind if I ask you a few questions to play on the show?
Starting point is 00:37:58 But instead, he thought you were at the beginning just kind of like, hey, man. Listen, you have to get them a natural reaction. If you go into interview mode, they give interview answers. If you just go straight up natural and just start from the jump, like, hey, you get the real reaction. And that's what we got there at the airport. Terminal D5. Okay. Let's do the morning corny with Amy.
Starting point is 00:38:19 The morning corny. Why does Santa have so many gardens? Why does Santa have so many gardens? So he can ho, ho, ho. That was the morning corny. So when they went and talked to these couples that were all married, almost 80% of them admitted to spending way more money than they told their significant other they were spending.
Starting point is 00:38:47 Either through money they were, you know, keeping on the side or just like swiping the, you know, the family credit cards and just not addressing it. Because you got to be honest, it's not like you're looking at the credit card bill every day, right? No, I'm definitely not the one, but he will notice stuff. So if you spent, because here you go, most responded that they spent at least 500 bucks in the past six months without notifying their significant other. If you spent 500 bucks extra over a six-month period, would he notice it? Yes, but, yeah, that's interesting.
Starting point is 00:39:22 I mean, we both work, so it's not, I don't think he would get mad at me. But we do try to talk to each other if it's in the hundreds, you know? You mean a single purchase? Yeah, a single purchase, not if you're buying multiple things in one day. But like, even our dog, our dog has a $500 limit at the vet. Like if something was wrong with the dog, that's where I would probably lie and spend more and try to hide it somehow and be like, nope, it was $4.99. What do you know? It's so crazy. A majority of the people they talked to had at least one card, their significant other didn't know about.
Starting point is 00:39:55 Ooh, that's bad. Anything you want to say? No. You don't have one? No. Do you? Eddie? Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:40:01 I don't know the card. Do you? No, we don't share money, so it doesn't matter. She just sees my credit card. I got one. She's got her own. Scoo and Steve told me, do you want to admit to this on the air, Steve? know. Yeah, I think this is a safe space. My wife is asleep right now, so she's not listening.
Starting point is 00:40:14 Okay. Go ahead. What happened with you? So it's about three years ago. My wife's birthday was coming up and I didn't have any cash. I live in paycheck to paycheck. And she wanted to do something big for her 30th birthday. So in order to make that happen, I had to get a credit card. And to be fair, she had told me for years, hey, to help with your credit score, to build it back up. One of the things you got to do is get a credit card on your own. It'll help with your score. So she kind of gave me the okay, sort of in a sense. So I got to count. So I got a Capital One credit card, got a really nice limit on it. And I paid for a weekend in Tahoe.
Starting point is 00:40:46 And then it led to like, okay, I'm eventually going to tell her. She needs to know this because I don't keep secrets from her. Then three years passed. Still haven't told her. I bought her earrings for Valentine's Day. I bought somebody a Christmas gift on it. And now I'm looking at about almost $4,000 in charges that I pay every month. I pay the minimum.
Starting point is 00:41:06 So I'm paying towards it. So it's not hurting my credit score. In fact, that's actually helping it. But she doesn't know about it. Or at least she hasn't told me she knows about it. Is she going to be mad if you tell her? I think she'll be mad the fact that I've held on to it for three years and haven't told her. But I think we'll get over it.
Starting point is 00:41:19 We've had things in our past. We've gotten over. And what are those? Infinitely. If this happened with you, Amy, you'd been keeping a secret card? Yeah, I'd probably would not go over well. But I'm trying to think like, scuba works. He has his own job.
Starting point is 00:41:38 He has his own job. He has a own money. He's trying to do something special for her. I think that's what. It's going to get you out of it, right? Yeah. Is that you were doing it for her. She'd probably want to see what other step you bought to.
Starting point is 00:41:46 Yeah. I bought some other things. Yeah, I pay for my beard trims on it. Yeah, I think money and communication is such a tricky thing. Whenever someone will give Kayla and I advice about marriage, they're like, let me give you some advice. Communication. I'm like, no crap. That's advice for any situation ever in all of life.
Starting point is 00:42:03 That's communication. Yeah. That's the easiest advice. Like, give me something we can really use. The lesson here is, what's your takeaway from this segment? The lesson here is Be better about hiding it I feel like this year we should have made a Christmas card
Starting point is 00:42:17 Caitlin and I Because other friends are sending Christmas cards They don't have kids yet And I'm like dang we missed out But also I'm getting so many Christmas cards I don't have to do with them all Because here's what I've been doing Looking at them
Starting point is 00:42:29 Leting Caitlin look at them Taking it in our hearts Throwing them away What should we be doing with them? Well you can do whatever you want Some people do exactly that Some people hang them up till after the holidays and then they get rid of them. I mean, that's what we're doing.
Starting point is 00:42:44 Some people display them for the holidays and then they get one of those big rings. You know what I'm talking about? Like the teachers used to put note cards on, like a big silver ring that you can add cards to. And they get a hole puncher and they punch a hole. And they do a ring for each year. And that way they have like all the years of like... A lot of clutter, huh? Well, no, it's just if you're sentimental that way.
Starting point is 00:43:04 I do appreciate them. I do read them. I do take them in, but I don't go back and re-reference them. Yeah. But we need to make one and then people can throw them away immediately. And I'm okay with that. Are you getting a lot of cards? Yeah, I mean, I have a lot.
Starting point is 00:43:15 I typically dispose of them at the end of the year. One card I did get this year that I thought was interesting was a couple that was together similar to you and Caitlin, except for they're not married. And they've only been dating two months. They even only met each other in October. So they have known each other and been dating for a total of two months and sent out a Christmas card together. That's weird. Yeah, I couldn't decide. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:43:40 I just thought, well, that's interesting. I wouldn't even go Instagram official at two months, much less than out a Christmas card. Yeah, I felt like that was pretty strong, but some people get married after knowing each other two months. But are they those people? Did they get married? They're not even engaged yet. But they did sit down a Christmas card together. Two months is pretty quick, huh?
Starting point is 00:43:56 Very quick. Yeah. I mean, I haven't married now. We didn't send out a card. Yeah. Yeah, we don't do cards, but when I've married 15 years. You don't do cards at all? No, even when we got kids.
Starting point is 00:44:05 Like, I don't know. I just feel like, yeah, there's two types of people. those that send out cards and those that go. You ready? No, I never have. Lunchbox? Probably never will. No. No, we suck, guys. Yeah, I know. We're just like not-ness people. We're just like not-ness people. Lunchbox called a tree lot because his Christmas tree is already dead,
Starting point is 00:44:22 and he's looking for a refund or to exchange it for a new tree. So you tell him you didn't water the tree, so it died? Yeah. And you see if they'd give you another one. Yeah. Okay. Here we go. Here's lunchbox calling the Christmas tree farm. This is a tree lot. Oh, yeah, man. This is Jason Gibble, and I got a problem.
Starting point is 00:44:38 man, I came in there last week, and I got an eight-footer. She was a real beauty. Put her up in the living room, and now she's dead. Okay, and how did that happen? I don't know. You guys sold me a tree. He said, oh, Merry Christmas. I went home, put her up, put some lights on her.
Starting point is 00:44:55 Weeklet her, she's brown. Yeah, but, I mean, did you put water in it? No, I didn't want the tree to grow in my living room. I didn't want it to grow bigger. It's not going to grow bigger, but you have to put water in the stand. If you don't put the water, it's going to dry up on you. I mean, that's just common sense. When I bought the tree, you didn't say anything about water.
Starting point is 00:45:12 You said, have a Merry Christmas. Of course, I said, have a Merry Christmas. But everybody knows you have to put water in a tree. How's it going to grow? It has no roots on it. I mean, it was already cut. Don't you ever buy water flowers for your girlfriend, your wife? And, you know, you got to put water in it.
Starting point is 00:45:25 I mean, if you don't do that, it's going to die out. Okay, man, I'll bring the old tree. I'll be there in about 20, get my new tree. I appreciate you. I'm glad we made a deal. I don't know what to tell you. I mean, I'm ready down. I'm going to come down there.
Starting point is 00:45:38 I'll get my new tree. So be ready for me. I'll be wearing a blue hoodie that says, coach, be ready. Here I come. Let's get that tree. Merry Christmas. Here I come.
Starting point is 00:45:47 Yeah. No tree. No tree. Do you call him back telling me you were kidding? Yeah. Oh, you did. Yeah, good. You guys looking at everybody in a coach hoodie.
Starting point is 00:45:56 A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me. Cliver Taylor the fourth. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in.

If a shark comes up to you, Poke it on the eyes and do the three stoog, knock, yon-knock. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:21 But you also have to go nuk, yon-knuck, or the shark will eat you. Some of the advice you get is just wrong. For example, if you were to run into an alligator, Amy, and just see if you know what people have often said, and the alligator's aggressive and you have to run, what do you do? Run. If I have to run, I just go straight. Go, run, far, far away.
Starting point is 00:49:42 People say that you should run zigzag to escape an alligator. The alligators can do that Alligators can also turn, yeah But they only run in short bursts Oh, so they're like Just run and don't stop because they won't be able to keep up with you If you're able to get a step on it, just run, run If you're not able to keep it to get a step on it
Starting point is 00:50:02 You're not hearing this because you're dead You didn't get a step and you ain't alive right now Chomp Chomp Next thing if you can't run is it to get like a piece of wood Stop drop and roll No, that's a fire Oh crap, I read the wrong myth Okay, there's an alligator.
Starting point is 00:50:16 What do I do? Okay, then you can drink water from a cactus. Have you heard that before? Like if you're in the desert, they say cut a cactus open, drink the water, squeeze it. First of all, they say, don't do that because what will happen is it'll make you even worse. It'll give you diarrhea. Oh, God. Because that's so bad and you will become even more dehydrated.
Starting point is 00:50:34 Okay. Well, what about it? Okay. What? I would say, but if I find an aloe plant, I'm probably going in on that one. Well, you're going to put stab on your elbow and you're going to cut? No, but you can eat aloe. I mean, you can eat anything
Starting point is 00:50:46 I can eat this piece of paper right here, yeah. Okay, I'll have to Google that. Is that one of your hippie things? I mean, yeah, I've thrown it in a smoothie from time to time. What, what? Why? I don't remember. I haven't done it in a minute, but there was a time where I was taking aloe in some shape or form every day. That you should follow flying birds to water.
Starting point is 00:51:08 That's another one. If you cannot find water, just follow the direction of the birds. I mean, I feel like that could say. view if they're going to water. It could, but birds could be flying anywhere. That's like follow that car to McDonald's. Is he going to McDonald's? I don't know. Could be. It could be. Well, maybe you don't just follow one. You follow like
Starting point is 00:51:23 if there's a family of... But the bird could be flying from the water and going home. Sure, the bird could be all waterlogged and like had a great little drink. That you should punch a shark in the nose. Yeah, we've heard punch it in the nose are between the eyes. Shark week. Here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:51:40 A shark's nose is slippery and if you don't hit it right in that perfect spot, it angles down into the mouth and the teeth. So don't hit it in the nose. Go for the eyes. Like start scratching eyes. Grabbed eyes, punch eyes. Don't hit it in the nose.
Starting point is 00:51:55 I mean, I guess if it's the only thing sticking up, but the nose is going to be hard to hit because it's slick and not a lot of surface area to punch. And you think you're doing it, all of a sudden your fist is in its mouth, and you're like, well, how did I get here? It slid right in. So eyeballs.
Starting point is 00:52:09 So there's that one. that alcohol warms you up. Ever heard of that? Yes. You feel warm since it's dilating your blood vessels and your face and your extremities, but that causes you to lose more heat to the environment,
Starting point is 00:52:21 therefore you will die of hypothermia quicker. So do not drink alcohol if you're out in a cold place. Okay. Don't drink alcohol to be warmer. Another one is that, hey, don't worry if a bear is after you run downhill because bears can't run downhill. Yeah, they can and they will and they'll eat you.
Starting point is 00:52:36 Don't just go downhill for the sake of running downhill. Okay. And that finally, you should ration water if you're in a survival situation. They say no. Drink what you have until it's gone. Use that time with good hydration to take stock of your situation and make better choices. Decision making and physical abilities drop off quickly when you're dehydrated. The first decisions you make after realizing you're in a survival situation are critical and pay long dividends.
Starting point is 00:53:00 So drink it all up. And if you have a bit of water and let's say Amy you and I are somewhere together and we each have our own ability of water, I'm going to push you and drink all your water too so I can make decisions for both of us. Nice. Thanks. And that's how you live long. Good to know. And you can jump off high surfaces into water safely,
Starting point is 00:53:21 which is not accurate because you will break your bones. Water hurts. No, no, water hurts. Just because it's wet and you can fall into it, doesn't mean from a long way. It's like pavement. Okay, there you go. I've just saved a lot of lives.
Starting point is 00:53:35 I feel pretty good about today. Thank you, bones. A lot of listeners' lives were saved by this. Like today, probably somewhere in Florida, someone runs into a shark and is going to punch him in the other. Or an alligator. Oh, true. Both, maybe. True.
Starting point is 00:53:45 Same day. That's a bad day. On the phone, Barbie in Oklahoma. Barbie, how are you? I'm great. Morning studio. Morning. Is that your real name?
Starting point is 00:53:54 Barbie? Yes, it is. Did your parents name you after the actual Mattel action figure? I cannot get a clear answer from anybody in my family about how my name came about. My grandmother says my mom was just in a bad mood and just picked a name, and that's what I got stuck with. Well, you always love getting named while someone's in a bad mood, huh? Oh, yeah. I've been ready to killed my whole life. Do you ever think about changing it to Barb?
Starting point is 00:54:20 No, because I don't like the people that are Barbara that go by Barbie that irritates me. So it's an integrity thing. Well, I get asked that all the time. Is your real name, Barbara? No, it's Barbie. Well, good for you for sticking with it. Let's play who wants to be a hundred air and give her a chance to win $100 in cash. In the next segment, one of these show members is going to play for you. I have the 100-sided dice.
Starting point is 00:54:46 Pick a number, Amy. Four. Lunchbox? 55. Eddie? 21. Morgan? 78.
Starting point is 00:54:53 Ray? 77. We're going to let Ray back in. He's been banned, but he's back in. All right, the 100-sided dice is spinning, and the number is. 93. Morgan. Yes. Woo-hoo. I'm a little scared, though, because I'm not very good at this game.
Starting point is 00:55:11 All right, hey, so Barbie, you and Morgan are going to team up and try to win $100 in cash in the next segment, okay? Okay, sounds good. Who wants to be a hundred air? We wish it was more money, but I have to spend my own on this game. Barbie, are you ready to play? Who wants to be a hundred air? I am. Bring it off. So Morgan will answer the questions as she was chosen before we. came to this segment. Morgan, you'll
Starting point is 00:55:34 answer them. Every question that you get right wins more money for Barbie. All right. You can quit at any time. And you have to answer them because listeners have been caught cheating, Googling questions. Okay? All right, Barbie, are you ready? Morgan, are you ready? I'm ready. Ready.
Starting point is 00:55:50 Your $1 question, Morgan. In which sport, do two teams pull at the opposite ends of a rope? I believe that's tug of war. That's the official name. I'm allowed to talk to Barbie, correct? No, you're not. Oh, my mom. Yeah. Yeah. Um, well, I mean, the obvious name for it is tug of war. So, or tug-o-war. Tug-of-war is my final answer. You know, I think I've always called it Tug-a-war. Like an idiot?
Starting point is 00:56:17 Yeah, with like a-tug-a-war. Tug-a-war. But that is correct. It's tug-of-war. It's true because I'm lazy. I can't give it the the. I just go tug-a. I say tug-a-war. Tug-a-war. Your $5 question, Morgan. Where does a cowboy wear chaps? Like the physical body part? What body part does a cowboy wear chaps? Well, they go on their legs, and you know there's like buttless chaps, so it's not their butt. Okay, we just did magic mic.
Starting point is 00:56:50 One swoop. And they put it over their jeans, so over their legs, and it ties around their hips. So I mean, legs, I think. Legs is my final answer. Legs is correct. All right, we're now to the $10 question. Now don't forget, you can go to Lifelines. Okay.
Starting point is 00:57:15 You have the room you can ask. You have a 50-50 coin flip with this coin right here. Or you have a paper watch shot. Okay. Your $10 question. Lance Armstrong won his sixth consecutive what in 2004? Oh, gosh. It's not a marathon.
Starting point is 00:57:37 I think it's higher than... Well, he's the bike rider. Was it a marathon? Eddie, Lunchbox, you guys know sports? Lance Armstrong won his sixth consecutive what in 2004. What is that called? I think I'm going to go with a lifeline of somebody in studio because I'm not sure the exact name.
Starting point is 00:57:57 Okay, who are you going with? Well, if he gets it wrong, then I think I take away a sports genius title. So Lunchbox. All right, Lunchbox. Lance Armstrong won is six. consecutive what in 2004? It's the Tour de France. That is correct.
Starting point is 00:58:10 Even said France. France. Yeah, fancy. That is correct. Well, you can keep $10, Barbie, or you can have Morgan continue on for $25. It's up for you. Up to you.
Starting point is 00:58:23 Let's just keep going. Let's keep going. All right. Morgan, what does the W stand for in George W. Bush? Oh, man. I thought you were going to say like www.com, and then I knew that. There are only two W.U.
Starting point is 00:58:37 www. www.com, you know what that? All right. Morgan, what's the W. You stand for in George? George. George. W. Bush.
Starting point is 00:58:50 Gosh. I mean, there's, you know, a lot of W names, George William Bush, George. George. George Washington. I would be the first president. You have a coin flip and a paper wand that you can also go to or you can just a guess. This is really hard because I, The paper watt I really don't have a chance with.
Starting point is 00:59:12 You don't think you shoot a paper one into the trash basket? No, it just, you know, my gravity, it's not working there, right? Like shooting a paper wand into a trash can, not good chances for me. Okay. But the flip a coin is 50-50 and there's like, William is a very common middle name. Common name in general. And that's a 50-50 for me at this moment. So you think William is 50-50 with every other W name?
Starting point is 00:59:37 I feel like it's a very common name. Okay. For $25 for Barbie, what does the W and George W. Bush stand for? William is my final answer. The W.U. stands for Walker. Dang it! That's incorrect. Dang.
Starting point is 01:00:07 Barbie, I hate that for you. Well, that's okay. It was fun anyway. I like it. You want to give Barbie another chance tomorrow, guys? Yes. Why not? I'm feeling pretty generous.
Starting point is 01:00:17 We'll give you one more shot. Okay, Barbie. Okay. Sounds great. All right, there she is. Barbie, hang on the phone, okay? Okay, thank you. Morgan.
Starting point is 01:00:28 I'm so disappointed. I should have flipped the coin. I agree, because I didn't think it's 50-50 William versus all other Ws. You know, George William does have a nice ring to it, though. But what are the other Ws besides Walker, William? Walter. Oh. Wilbur.
Starting point is 01:00:42 That's a good one. Wilt. Wilt. Okay. Wobbler. Wobkin. Webster. Okay.
Starting point is 01:00:54 All right. A lot more than 50. Okay. We'll play with her again tomorrow. Give it up for a Barbie, everybody. And who wants to be 100? Bobby Bones show. Bonehead. Story of the day.
Starting point is 01:01:06 This story comes us from Richmond, Indiana. A man had been out having a few drinks when he saw a street sweeper sitting on the side of the road. And he was like, let me climb in that thing. That does look fun. It does. Yeah. I can see if I was drinking. I think that was fun too. It's like a zamboni, but on the highway.
Starting point is 01:01:23 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, and so then he got in it and went for about an hour, wrecking cars, running into things. Nobody saw him for an hour? Oh, no, no, the police were chasing them, but they can't get them out of the street sweeper. And it doesn't go that fast. It goes 10 to 25 miles an hour, and it's big. A slow speed chase.
Starting point is 01:01:38 That's wild. I would love to see a chopper over the top of that on the news. Yeah. Because you know no one's going to die. Like that, sometimes they'll show those speed chases from L.A. Oh, people dying, though. Yeah, and then like guns and wrecks and this one, I'd watch the whole time. And he's sweeping the street at the same time.
Starting point is 01:01:56 Is he, though? I think he's creating a little mess too. No, he squirted around strips and he hit a garage partially collapsed that and that's what made him stop. I'm watching the video. It's wild. I mean, he crashed into a whole building with a, it looks like some sort of like small music venue. Boom, right in the side of it. And it keeps going.
Starting point is 01:02:13 There's five cops chasing him. Wow. So what happened to him? He tried to run away, but a canine dog got him. Hey, bad ending. That K9, when it pulls you down, that's a bad ending. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day. I say finger length could reveal your food choices.
Starting point is 01:02:31 People with masculine hands are more like to order a burger. Those are feminine hands. Salads. What are my hands? Be honest. Let me see the other side? Well, the problem is a lot of my fingers are broken. I was going to say one is real crooked.
Starting point is 01:02:45 High school football. Yeah, I just a old injury. Yeah, of course. Yeah, I've broken a couple of them. But would you say my fingers are masculine? I don't know. They're kind of feminine is. They look soft.
Starting point is 01:02:58 Yeah. But they look long, though. They're taken care of. They're, yeah. Manicured? Yeah. They're. They look moisturized.
Starting point is 01:03:07 They're, all right. They look sweet. This segment's dumb. Generally, people with bigger hands. Order. And I wonder, though, they're just eating more burgers and it makes their hands fatter. Oh, wow. Why don't think about it?
Starting point is 01:03:19 Because, I mean, by way of what this is saying, you actually do order more salads. Than burgers? Yeah. I did have turkey burger the other day, though, and I felt really guilty. We'll see you guys tomorrow. We hope you have a great Wednesday. Goodbye, friends. Come on, y'all. A win is a win.
