Starting point is 00:02:02 It took an army of internet detectives to uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Gillespie and Michael Marencini. But if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration.
Starting point is 00:02:48 It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot in life. Listen to Thanks Dad on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, welcome to Wednesday show. Morning Studio.
Starting point is 00:03:20 Morning. All right, so you saw Nicole Kidman out in the wild? Yeah, she was hiking with a friend. It's always pretty cool. Looking stunning. That's always pretty cool because she's like mega AAA list. Like, there are country stars that we see. And we see them a lot on the show, but we see them in town.
Starting point is 00:03:34 And you're like, well, they're supposed to live here. That's where country stars live. But seeing Nicole Kidman's different. And she lives with Keith Urban, obviously, if you didn't know, she's. I saw her at the mall once at the makeup place. Yeah, she just seems very stars are just like us.
Starting point is 00:03:47 No security. She was by herself walking around. What's the makeup place called? Sephora. Yeah, by herself walking around Sephora. And then later, like halfway through because I was with my wife, I was sitting in a chair while my wife was shopping.
Starting point is 00:03:59 But also I was sitting in a chair where they do makeup on people, so I felt like I was kind of in the way. Right. But then do people really want to sit in that chair and get their makeup done right then? Or is that just for... It just depends if they have an appointment. They can have one or they're testing something out.
Starting point is 00:04:11 It was like 7 p.m. I feel good about it. And then her daughter came and joined her like halfway through and they just walked her on the mall by themselves. It's crazy. So she's hiking. Yeah, she was just with a friend. I mean, I just passed up. I mean, you can't really miss. She's so tall and striking.
Starting point is 00:04:25 No, I was across the other way and passed her and just like, was like, oh, that's Nicole Kidman. What would you have done? Same exact situation, lunchbox. Circle back. No. Circle back. Nicole in the house? No.
Starting point is 00:04:36 That's what you would have yelled Nicole in the house. No. And I mean, I've even done like a thing with her for a full day. That's what I'm saying you know her. No, I don't feel like I know her actually. I feel like I would be more inclined to say hi to Keith before Nicole because we see him way more. But I've even passed him on that same trail and I just let him be as well. Because there's other people around and I just don't want to, yeah, draw attention or anything.
Starting point is 00:05:01 She's 5'11. Yes. You snap a pick? No, I didn't. So if you would have yelled Nicole in the house, what was your desired outcome, lunchbox? She turned out, hey, what's going on? Good to see you again. And we start talking.
Starting point is 00:05:11 Has she ever seen you? Yeah. When have you met Nicole Kidman? I met her at a party. Party? Yeah. At a really nice house. Oh, it was an industry party.
Starting point is 00:05:21 She was like Keith Urban. And you met her as in like you went and sat with her and talked with her for a while? No, I met her as Keith Urban goes, I recognize that voice on news. You lunch. Have you met my wife, Nicole? And we said, hi, nice to meet you, talk. And then I introduced her to my wife. And then we're like, see you around.
Starting point is 00:05:37 and then we went on the party to get, we walked in together. I feel like he's exaggerating. No, no, that's literally what happened. It was out. No, I feel like this happened. It was literally, I was walking up to steps. I remember the night.
Starting point is 00:05:48 I'm sure they met and said this is this and they walked in at the same time, but it's not like they. No, because we were getting checked in at the table at the same time. Yes, yes, that's more like it. And we talked. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:57 And Keith introduced us and said, hey, this is my wife. Have you met Nicole? And I was like, no, hi, nice to meet you. And you think she'd remember you? Yeah. How long did you talk? Probably about 12 seconds.
Starting point is 00:06:06 See, guys, that's what I'm saying. Like, it was very quick. Well, yeah, that's exactly what I said. I didn't say we sat there for an hour. Yeah, but I don't know. It's just, I even did, like I said, an Omega Watch thing with her for a day. And I don't, I feel like if I saw her,
Starting point is 00:06:20 because that was a few years ago, I would have to be. Guys, she's a fan of ours. No, I would have to say, I would have to give too many specifics. I don't want to bother anybody throughout doing their own thing. Yeah, like, I didn't stop her when she was, and I've been to their house, and I didn't stop her when she was in the makeup place.
Starting point is 00:06:36 Because I don't want other people to be like, oh, there's Nicole Kidman. Yeah. But Lunchbox City would have circled back. Especially on Amy's because they were walking in opposite directions. They could circle back and be like, hey, Nicole, it's good to see it. What does circle back mean? Like turn around and go back? You turn.
Starting point is 00:06:51 So if you would have done that and you would have, would you just followed her? No, I'd have walked up to her. From behind? Hey, Nicole in the hut or get past her and then circle back and then you kind of accidentally bump into her. What? This trail has very wide. Oh, very wide? Yes.
Starting point is 00:07:05 It's the one. Woods. You don't have to bump into anybody. This is on the road part. Then you just say hi. Okay. I don't know. That's pretty cool. What up and Cole?
Starting point is 00:07:13 You remember me? It's lunch. He did y'all Lady A in the house. I got ignored. At Hillary Scott from Lady A. I said, what up hill? Who's the nicest person in the whole world? And then he's like, she wouldn't even look at me.
Starting point is 00:07:23 She ignored me. And then I felt like she looked right at me. I said, what up hill? Nothing. Huh. That was a little weird. Have you ever met her before? No.
Starting point is 00:07:31 She's been in here all the time. See, guys, this is my point with him when he says he meets people or other people. I've never had a conversation with her and I Like she's been in the same room as me But being Hillary I've never had a Never asked him a question during an interview Probably not I don't know
Starting point is 00:07:46 I think yeah yeah yeah anyway Nicole Kimman that's cool Yeah that's legit she's really tall I've never met her Sorry about that man Lunchbox went vacationing with them Fairly Yeah crazy It's the amount of sin by
Starting point is 00:08:01 To be house Oh Bobby Bone I've been seeing a woman for the past few months, but we have not met in person. She lives three states away from me. We've made plans to meet in the middle, but nothing has come together yet. I've video called with her, so I know who she says she is, and she is that person, but my friends think I'm being catfish. I appreciate their concern, but I don't like, they don't trust me enough to believe I know what I'm getting into.
Starting point is 00:08:38 At some point, I am going to get together with her in person, and I'll be able to put my friends in their place. should I appreciate that they care enough to say something or be mad that they don't think I know what I'm doing? Signed, not catfished Caleb. First of all, Caleb, I don't know that you've actually seen it on video. Well, what has he seen? I don't know. I don't believe him.
Starting point is 00:09:01 Oh, so he's saying like, oh, I've seen it on video. Okay. If you've really seen her on video who cares about your friends, then they're just maybe not even jealous. They're concerned because there are a lot of scams out. there and there's a lot of people catfishing and getting people for Apple gift cards and pay so all good I would assume if your friends think you're being catfished they don't think that your game is that strong generally so they're concerned about you or that you may be vulnerable to a cyber attack right
Starting point is 00:09:35 and I don't think you should be annoyed at your friends for caring about you also if you video called you need to have seen the person move their body. Because I don't know that I believe it. I video call when I was getting catfish to Amy back in the day. This has been, before catfishing was cool, I'm often ahead of the trends. I video called, but their camera was kind of broken
Starting point is 00:09:59 so I can only hear them. Yes. She was a guest jeans model. Right. And it was a disaster. So all I'm saying, Caleb, I will say this as someone who is not your friend, but somebody I'm concerned for you,
Starting point is 00:10:10 make sure that you've spoken. to them on camera and you've watched them move their body. But bones, there's AI now though. No, not like that. There's not. No? No. Just back to Bobby's story, to clarify for anybody that hasn't heard the story,
Starting point is 00:10:25 you were talking to a man. Why don't we have to clarify what story? We're literally talking about the email. They can be really tricky. He was a man that sounded like a woman. It made the news. Amy's like, just to clarify and I'm like, oh, I get it. Amy, like Eddie and lunchbox interrupted her train of thought.
Starting point is 00:10:41 Let's get back to what she thinks about this person. And then she's like, let's remind everybody it was a man. What was him is saying how good people can be? Can I remind everybody it was a small man that sounded like a woman? That's important too. Yes. And I didn't send him anything and I never met him. But I did believe it for a little bit.
Starting point is 00:10:58 And Bobby wasn't the only victim. I know. I wasn't victimized everybody. Other men sent money though. But I didn't. She was working you. Bones, it's okay, man. It happens to everyone.
Starting point is 00:11:06 No, it does. It happened to me before it was school. It really was. Like when this made the news, like, It wasn't even a thing yet. It made the news. Not me. Because of the other men that paid.
Starting point is 00:11:16 Yeah, like, I had a listener, Travis, the research guy, who had researched everything we ever said. And like three, four months after we had stopped talking about it because it had just disappeared. He was like, uh, that, guest jeans model was just a dude that was caught in a hotel. Oof. That's tough. Oh, anyway, Caleb, good luck.
Starting point is 00:11:32 Make sure that you talk to her and you're actually seeing her. You're not just hearing her. And your friends are caring for you. And isn't that what friends are for? Yes. Caleb's getting catfished. I got a back to me. All right, closing.
Starting point is 00:11:43 Here's a voicemail from Becca in Conway, Arkansas. Hey, Amy. I wanted to give you a morning corny. First, I want to shout out my friends, Brooke and Debbie. How do skeletons get pumped for Halloween? They take scaeroids. Love the show. Solid.
Starting point is 00:11:58 Oh, scareoids. Yeah, solid. All right, next one. Hey, Bobby, I had a question. I went to stream one of my favorite old country album, and there was a rematch. version to stream. What is the difference between the original album and a remastered album?
Starting point is 00:12:15 Great question. They basically took all the individual parts and just kind of remixed them again. Turn some things up louder, pulled some things down. Sometimes they'll replay something over the top. They don't only say that, but they'll. So it's just basically they're on that big board. You can think of Amy, you know what all the slides are. And let's say there are eight things.
Starting point is 00:12:37 There's the drums. There's a guitar. there's the bass. If the bass was at a three, maybe they take the bass to a two, but they turn the guitar up to a six. And the vocal's up to an eight where they were a six. It's just somebody mixing it differently. So it sounds better. So it sounds more contemporary. Yeah. Yeah. That's basically it. Some people cheat though and we'll re-record stuff. But I guess it's not cheating if you don't get caught. It's we're always saying. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So an OBGYN was talking about why you shouldn't pee in the shower
Starting point is 00:13:05 if you do. Oh, that's interesting. I've always heard it was okay. Yeah, no. She definitely is not for it. She said that it's not good for your pelvic floor if you're doing that because you're peeing standing up and then... That's every guy ever. It's just for women. Well, for women especially. She's an OBGYN, which is a female doctor. Oh, that's a good point. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:24 That's a good point. I didn't go there. I just thought it was about the pee. Yeah, yeah. More than it was about the part it was coming from. Yeah. But maybe guys should sit down to pee is what we're learning from this. Oh. Do you wish that that was what was acceptable? Yeah, sometimes I do if I'm tired. Anyway, go ahead. She said she also doesn't.
Starting point is 00:13:39 really like the hygienic part of it at all whatsoever, but then this one stood out to me. She said, you really don't want to give your brain the association of when you hear running water, you want to pee because then any time you hear running water, she'll have to go to the bathroom. I feel like she needs to have some work done or something. Like she's already biased. She's like, I don't like that it's gross. Yeah, and the pelvic floor thing is legit. I struggle with that.
Starting point is 00:14:04 My doctor told me because I squat. And the shower? No. Oh, my God. He walked in. He's like, I'm in the shower. She's squatted. No, in public restrooms.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Like, I don't, but that's basically like standing up. And so apparently that can cause a lot of issues. I've got much time thinking on my pelvic floor. Never as much as right now. All right, go ahead. Taco Bell has come up with a name your price feature on an app. So pretty much you go, you don't really know what you want to order, but you know what you want to spend.
Starting point is 00:14:31 So you put it in, I want to spend $7. And it'll tell you exactly what to order to spend that. That's interesting. At first, I thought this was a terrible idea. but I think I like it. I have $16 for two people. What can I get?
Starting point is 00:14:45 Yeah, that's good. And it gives you all the options. No, people are loving it. They're thinking that most fast food restaurants are going to follow suit and add something, a feature like this to all the apps. At first I thought it was like,
Starting point is 00:14:54 you could just log on and be like, I will pay one penny and they must give it to you. I was excited. Yeah, he was going to try to do that. All right, what else? All right, I have the lifestyle habits that will help you live to be 100 years old.
Starting point is 00:15:05 Okay. Yeah, I'm dead tomorrow. Staying cognitively active, which I feel like we do. We play games. Meditate regularly. Limit alcohol consumption. We're hearing aids if needed. I think I need them.
Starting point is 00:15:20 Eat healthy food. Okay, this is everything. I know. I know. But the one that stood out to me is you got to stay social. And I feel like sometimes as we get older, we maybe go inmerd a little bit more. Yeah, never been that social. Between the sleep and the non-social, I got about a year left, guys.
Starting point is 00:15:36 Tick, tick, tick, tick. We're going to miss you, man. Yeah, are y'all having trouble hearing? Huh? What? My kids say that I don't hear well at all. I think because we have things in our ears. However, I took the hearing test at the ear doctor and they said I had one of the highest scores that ever had.
Starting point is 00:15:50 Ever in the history of the doctor? Yeah, they were like one of the greatest scores they've ever seen. Wow. I was really dialed in though. I really wanted to. Apparently I can't hear them well and also I talk really loud. Probably from just wearing things in your ears all the time doing the show. Sorry about that.
Starting point is 00:16:03 That's right. I made me. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for. for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 00:16:14 So a man, Sean Vestey, went to his hometown of Boone a week ago to help with the cleanup after Hurricane Helene. And going through the mud, the debris, all the things, he found a photo album. He posted on Facebook, hopefully, to connect with the family. Like, no idea who these people were. And this girl, Brittany Wilson, she was scrolling through Facebook, and she came across his post, and her heart sank because that was her family's photo album. and they thought they'd never see it again, and there was. Yeah, and obviously that's a big deal, especially during the hurricane when everybody lost everything.
Starting point is 00:16:47 But what I would say, too, is pictures are kind of, we have them, but they're kind of old school, and they could, this a natural disaster could happen, or, I don't know, is fire a natural disaster? I guess it started naturally, but a fire is natural. Yeah, but not if you like a, a toaster. Yeah. Then you did that. That's just a home fire. Yeah, but like, you don't want to lose your pictures.
Starting point is 00:17:07 You can do a legacy box, not a company. commercial, but you can digitize all your pictures, LegacyBox, and then go to Legacybox.com slash bones. But I bet to somebody who has not been to Legacy Box, it's super important because they would have lost all those memories. Yeah, I think just when stuff like this happens, it's a good reminder of just how fragile certain things are, and it's a good idea to be proactive. Yeah, if a fire is started because you kicked over a lamp, the fire exists naturally,
Starting point is 00:17:35 but is that natural if it's you that did it? No. Exactly. I call it an accidental disaster, maybe. All right, I'm glad that that guy went through the effort for that online. Shout out, Sean Veskey. And yeah, LegacyVox.com slash bones. If you have old photos, you definitely want to digitize them.
Starting point is 00:17:50 There you go, that's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football,
Starting point is 00:18:06 or my career in sports media. Somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. Starting point is 00:19:00 There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And Rule 2, never mess with her friends either. We always say that, trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends... Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist.
Starting point is 00:19:29 I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no, I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends.
Starting point is 00:19:47 Trust me, babe. On the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Ego Wode. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. Woo, woo, woo, woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and dad, I think I want to really give this a shot.
Starting point is 00:20:19 I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come, look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there.
Starting point is 00:20:54 Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Starting point is 00:22:04 I doctored the test once. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfected. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg, a lesbian, Michael Marincini. My mind was blown.

Starting point is 00:24:32 Oh, the Long John Silver's. The Long John Silver's. Long Johns. No. Nothing from Long John Silver's name. Okay. What are you thinking? Like a pirate or something?
Starting point is 00:24:44 Captain Long John. Captain Long John. Oh, interesting. Lunchbox. Yeah, Wendy from Wendy. Oh, yeah. Wendy. That's your number three answer.
Starting point is 00:24:57 Yeah, Colonel Sanders from KFC. Show me, Colonel Sanders. That's your number two answer. Okay. So right now, only three answers remaining. You have Ronald McDonald at number one. Colonel Sanders at number two. Wendy from Wendy's at number three.

Starting point is 00:25:29 I'm between two, man. Between two. What are the two? Can't tell you both of them. Top 10 fast food mascots, three remaining. Lunchbox, answer. Give me the Taco Bell Chihuahua. Show me the Chihuahua.
Starting point is 00:25:42 Number 10 answer? That's huge. Bam. Lunchbox time has 15 points. I thought it was the Taco Bell. Bois Chihuahua. Number six and number nine are left, lunchbox. Yeah, give me the jack-in-a-box guy.
Starting point is 00:25:57 I don't even know what, but he has the white ball on his head, and he's got the eye, the jack-in-a-box guy. Yeah, Jack in the box Jack of the box Amy That's what I got Does he need the name of the person Mike?
Starting point is 00:26:07 No, no one knows that guy's name I know his name Every single one of them They've had to name the person Is the difference Oh, there's a name What? What?
Starting point is 00:26:15 Jack in the box You'll accept it, okay It's Jack He says my name's Jack Yes I probably wouldn't have given it to him But he gets that one He's now in the lead
Starting point is 00:26:27 Yeah Then we have to have something else. Yes. Fast food mascot. One answer remains. The number six answer. Man, this is the game. Give me Hardy.
Starting point is 00:26:47 Huh? Hardie from parties. Hardy. Hardy from Hartos. Like the guy, Hardy? That's what I said to singer. All right, Eddie, you can win this. You have to get the number six answer. Man, I don't know if he's the mascot, the official mascot of this place, but I mean, it's named after him.
Starting point is 00:27:06 So let's go Popeye. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Pop-I is chicken. I don't think it's named by him. I don't think it's named after him. No, it's just a random name. Did they ever use Popeye? Show me Popeye. Amy, if you get it, you will not win. No way I can even.
Starting point is 00:27:28 Not for double points where it is now. You can punt. Or you can just get it in the game. Okay. Papa Johns. Show me Poppet John. That's not bad. It's not bad. All right, lunchbox for the win.
Starting point is 00:27:43 Yeah, for the win. Where else do you go? Topson fast food mascots. We're looking for the number six answer. Yeah. No, he's not been a mascot anymore. Smoothie King. Show me the King.
Starting point is 00:28:03 Where else do I eat? All right, one more wrap around here. Eddie, if you get the next one, you'll be the winner. We have nine answers off the board. Ronald McDonald, Colonel Sanders, Wendy, the King from Burger King, the cows from Chick-fil-A, hamburger from McDonald's, grimace from McDonald's, Jack from Jack in the Box, and the Chihuahua from Taco Bell. And there's one answer on the board. If you get it, you win.
Starting point is 00:28:29 If you don't, well, lunchbox will probably win, but we'll go to Amy later and let her have a chance at it. This is stupid, but, man, I'm trying to think, but could it be the Starbucks Mermaid? Oh, interesting. She's a mascot. The coffee lady mermaid. Does she have a name? Coffee Lady mermaid. Coffee Lady mermaid.
Starting point is 00:28:53 Show me coffee lady mermaid, no. Amy? Star. Her name is Star. Her name is Star? Her name is Star. Are you making that up? Really? Or you just making that up?
Starting point is 00:29:02 I think she's making that up, guys. Don't fall for that. Misinformation. I was like, wow. That's my guess, though. Okay, it's not, it's just not. Lunchbox any guess? Yeah, well, I had something that he's not the mascot anymore.
Starting point is 00:29:14 He's in jail. then Jared is not the answer. Go ahead. Jersey might. Oh, that's interesting. Danny DeVito. No. No, I spoke a person and a mascot are two different people.
Starting point is 00:29:29 Okay. So not. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So lunchbox is our winner. We'll play a song in a second. The number six answer, Pizza Pizza, Little Caesar. Little Caesar.
Starting point is 00:29:41 Little Caesar. The lunchbox comes through at 24th point on a winner. If you put your dog's mess. medicine and peanut butter, they say heads up. Maybe don't do that anymore because they're starting to put a sugar substitute that's using gum, yogurt candy into some peanut butters and nut butters. Zylthol? How do you know that? What in the world is wrong with you? Wow. I don't know. That's just sort of common thing that's in that stuff. Like sometimes I just have a Zylothal sandwich, but here you are. Why are they putting that in peanut butter? Those say for humans,
Starting point is 00:30:10 xylothal is extremely toxic for dogs and can be life-threatening. If you feed your dog's pills, coated in peanut butter or put peanut butter in anything. I put a peanut butter in a con. Make sure to check the list of ingredients to make sure the peanut butter does not contain xylitol. Dogs who have ingested xylitol require immediate treatment. Zylitol poisoning can cause seizures, liver failure, and possibly death. That's from something called modern dog. Not old dog, this is modern.
Starting point is 00:30:36 Yeah, wow. So, yeah, I guess if you're giving your dog peanut butter, I don't because I hate peanut butter. Like, I'm keeping my dog off peanut butter because I don't like it. I tell you, we were in New York because I went to host a. like an industry show and my wife gets a call. I was like, hey, is this whatever number? She's like, yeah. She goes, we have your dog, Eller.
Starting point is 00:30:54 She's like, what? Like, yeah. And so she immediately goes and checks the air tag and Ella's like two houses over. So Ella somehow, we don't know how she got out, escaped. We live near a busy highway, runs along the busy highway. That's terrible. Somehow it gets over. Thank God.
Starting point is 00:31:10 That neighbor not only saw the dog, but grabbed the dog and called the name and the number on her caller. Like, they didn't have to do that. They also just could have seen a dog and done nothing because there are dogs running around all over the place. Like, that literally could have ruined a big part of our life for, like, months to come had they not.
Starting point is 00:31:30 And she got hit by a car or something. Oh, yeah. So I'm so, we don't even know the neighbor is. They called. Because y'all were out of town. Yes. And so we had the neighbor, we gave him the code to get over,
Starting point is 00:31:41 so he took the dog, put the code in, put the dog in the house. Well, maybe now that you're back, you need to take him some. bread. I know. I'm over dinner. Do I like drive over now? Because I think I know which one, but I'm not totally sure. Because I checked the Apple tag and I saw
Starting point is 00:31:54 where the Apple tag was as they were calling. Yeah. I mean, I don't... But what if it's not? What if I go and invite somebody over? They're like, wow, that sounds great. And that's not even the right neighbor. The same is you. You don't have to invite anybody over, but drop off a, you know, a thank you thing. Like a card or a... We text on thank you, but we don't want to have. Can we text
Starting point is 00:32:10 them back and go, which house do you live in? Yeah, like, hey, what's your address? Just wanted to just rob you, is what I feel. say thanks for saving our dog's life. So for anybody out there, and you think that something like that doesn't make a difference, that made such a big difference on our weekend. It could have made such a big difference on our week, on our year, just, and it doesn't have to be dog.
Starting point is 00:32:31 It could be any little thing that you do looking out for someone else because this neighbor did not have to do that. And I know the elder is tough. She runs. I know that if he was like, hey, come here. There's no chance she went to him right away. She ran. But he went and he grabbed her and he held her and he called us.
Starting point is 00:32:46 drove her to the house. So it's not just about dogs. That makes me want to shout out to this woman that was driving a four-door white, like, F-150 situation that I saw pulled over a street kind of near you, Bobby. And she was trying to catch a dog that had a caller. It clearly wasn't hers, and she was getting snacks out of her car. I mean, it definitely was backing up traffic, but she didn't care because she was at the light, and she sort of put her car in park and got out, and she was dedicated to it.
Starting point is 00:33:15 and then some men pulled over and parked and they were helping her because the dog was really feisty like it would run near her and then bounce back and run away so she would think she got him and I mean I was at the red light so I saw it but I'm just thinking about her now and how she completely stopped her day and some people are honking and she didn't care yeah and it's again it's about a dog but for somebody else it's so much bigger than a dog this person did not have to do what he did in order to make our life easier and better and he did and he spent the time doing it So I'm very thankful, even though I don't know his name, and I think I know where he lives. But I don't want to give the wrong house cookies.
Starting point is 00:33:49 So shout out to them. Shout out to all the houses. Maybe I just give it to all the houses. All the white F-150s. Yes. Pour me a drink. Not all the white F-150s. Some of those guys are creepy.
Starting point is 00:33:59 Four-door women driving? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Eddie, what happened? Okay, so I took my family to a restaurant, right? We order our food. I said, boys, we're only getting water. So they said, okay, we get water. Is that a normal rule?
Starting point is 00:34:12 Four boys? You go? For the most part. Okay. Is it like a treat if you get sodas? Yeah, because it's expensive. Okay. I don't have kids. Okay, go ahead. So, but they give them these like clear plastic glasses.
Starting point is 00:34:23 So that's where they go to the fountain area and they get waters. And that I'm familiar with, sure. Sure. Yeah, but not them. They got sodas. They got lemonade. One got iced tea. So we're sitting at the table and I realize like they didn't get waters.
Starting point is 00:34:36 What do I do? Do I go back to the counter and say, hey, I'm sorry. They all got sodas. Let me pay for this. Or do I just let them have their soda? A couple things. One, so it's a pay at the counter. They give you the clear and then you sit down, but you're done. You've paid. That's right. It's like Chipotle, basically. Yeah, it was a barbecue place. You order and then they bring you your food to your table. And then they stole. I mean, yeah, they weren't supposed to get that soft drink. They were supposed to get water. That's tough. Did you say anything to them? No. No. I kind of looked at my wife and said, look, they didn't get water. Did they know what they were doing? Of course they did. I told them to only get water.
Starting point is 00:35:16 But at the same time, you know, like, who hasn't done that? Okay, I'm going to tell you what you... But I'm not a parent. I'm not apparent. So this is going to be terrible advice coming from not a parent, okay? Okay. I'm going to march up. I'm going to take the boys up there with me
Starting point is 00:35:31 and make them admit to the person that they were supposed to get water and they didn't. And they got another drink. And then you're going to pay for it with them right there after they admitted that they went and got something they shouldn't have. Dang.
Starting point is 00:35:43 That's probably what I would have wanted to have happened to me if it were me in that situation to learn that lesson. That is what happened to me when I was a kid and I stole. I never stole again. Dang, they got. But I don't know if there's shame.
Starting point is 00:35:56 I didn't steal a drink. I stole a Reese's cup at the checkout and I put it stuck it down my pants and we were walking the parking lot it fell out and my mom was like, we're taking that back and I had to walk back in and hand it and say I took this.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Oh, I bet that's like a good, like a, oof. I know. Like that's a scar. There's a shame. I know. Like I feel shame for you a little bit. Yeah. So I don't really know what a, like, psychologically what that does too, okay, but I think you definitely
Starting point is 00:36:21 have to say something. You remember that, though. I do. Like hard. I watched you like cringe saying it. But good lesson. Eddie, what did you do? So I just said, guys, guys, guys, what do you, like, we're not supposed to do that.
Starting point is 00:36:31 That is not right. And I acted upset, but I said it's okay. Let's just let it slide. So no lesson, free. They stole. Everything's good. Let's just let it slide. Don't do it again.
Starting point is 00:36:40 Definitely doing it. We've all done it. It's a right of passage. We've all done it, yes. But it doesn't mean that. Have we all done it? Everybody's done the drink thing. When you were a kid, you never filled up.
Starting point is 00:36:50 Even as an adult. You know, you're supposed to get water and you got some right. We never went to a place that you buy at the calendar. No, I know. I mean, I don't know. But I know, I've never been like, I'm like, no. Oh, I've done it. My conscience would be so guilty if I stole anything.
Starting point is 00:37:03 But as a kid. No, again, I'd probably feel better about it now than I would as a kid. As a kid, I thought I was going to adult jail. I would have to say something. Eddie, you had to take them back. Take them back today. Oh, that would be awesome. Go back like a week later.
Starting point is 00:37:17 All right, you guys can leave us a message up on our Facebook page or our Twitter. Let us know what you would have done, maybe what you have done or what they should have done. It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. We're at home at Tom. He's an AC repair guy and he's got all his tools in a toolbox in the back of his truck. Well, one day he goes back there. Let me get my tools.
Starting point is 00:37:40 They're stolen. They're gone. What does he do? So he buys an air tag. He says this isn't going to happen to me again. He puts the air tag in the toolbox. two weeks later stolen again but he has his phone now he gets his phone looks at where the box is ooh he sees the house and he goes to the house himself knocks in the door i would never do that that's
Starting point is 00:37:58 where somebody like comes out and shoot you that's where i call the cops and i have the cops go and i have the cops go and try to get it yeah go ahead he knocks in the door and the guy goes yeah can i help he's like yes did you steal my tools by any chance i don't know what you're talking about man okay no problem he leaves calls the cop says hey i know my tools are in here come help me so the show up, they say, you know what, we know this guy. We've been trying to crack this guy and a bunch of robbery cases. He's the great tool thief of Tupelo. So they get a warrant for his arrest. They search his house. Of course, he's got all this stolen stuff that he's stolen for like years from a bunch of people. So they arrest him. First thing that comes in mind, why is he not selling it?
Starting point is 00:38:36 Why is he just sitting on a bunch of tools? If you got stuff, sell it. Well, yeah. My dad, one time when we were younger, someone stole a ladder, a power saw and a drill from him. He went and confronted him. The guy got him in headlock and held a knife to his throat. Your dad, that's why you don't confront. And my dad said, I will never do it again. And he's so. How has that story never come out before that? Your dad got held in a headlock with him.
Starting point is 00:38:55 I just found out about it like a month ago. That's amazing. I was talking about something. He goes, never go get it. He goes, there's one guy that I knew stole a ladder from me, a drill and a power saw. And I was like, I'm going to go get it. I was in my early 30s. I was tough.
Starting point is 00:39:08 He had me in a headlock and a knife to my throat. And he goes, decided right then, not worth it. He was like, it's his ladder now. Didn't Arkansas Keith threw that to him in his Jeep? He went and stole his own Jeep back. He knew the guy that had stolen his Jeep, and he jumped over the fence. Hot-wired his Jeep and stole it out of there. But he didn't go confront the guy.
Starting point is 00:39:24 He just stole it back. My dad went and knocked on the door and ready to throw some dukes. Well, glad that they got the great tool to blow. Good story. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. A win is a win. A win is a win.

I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent. Amy's morning corny in about two minutes, but lunchbox is sick, guys. Stop. I mean, you can hear it. I hear it.
Starting point is 00:44:39 No, no, it's my hangy-banggy. Oh, my God. But you're hangingy-bangy, that thing that hangs down is sore. That means you're sick. He came in and he was on the show and he was like, my kids are all, they're battling a virus. Bug battling, he said. Yeah, that's what he said they were doing at his house.
Starting point is 00:44:52 A bug battling. And we're like, what's bug battling? Is that like hungry, hungry hippos? And he's like, no, one has a sinus infection. One has an ear infection. One has a, I don't know. But he's in today and he's like, oh. No, I'm not like that.
Starting point is 00:45:09 I just have my hanging bangy is inflamed. Oh, I can hear it for sure. Yeah, the hangy, look at the hangy. But why do you think that hangy-bangie is inflamed? The hangy-banggy. The hangy-bangeries. The hangy-bany itself. Your kid, Eddie, I would, if I were you, I would request that he not sit next to you.
Starting point is 00:45:25 Don't we have protocol for this? Don't we put him in another room or something? Because he's definitely got, he's sick. No, no, no, it's not sick. It is 100% allergies. You don't know that. You can't prove that. Yeah, hanging baggings don't get inflamed unless it's allergies.
Starting point is 00:45:38 They do. Google. It's called hangy-bangs. It is called hangy-bangs. We decided a long time ago that was a medical terminology. for that thing that hangs down. Yeah. So, Eddie, you know,
Starting point is 00:45:45 disrespect. What's causing the nasal? Yeah. Well, that's the hanging banging. No. No, you're not related. You're sick. No, there is no congestion.
Starting point is 00:45:53 There is congestion. We hear you do it. Ugh. Every time we're off the air. There's congestion. Eddie, why does this happen all the time? Scuba, you're going to have to make a tough decision here. I know.
Starting point is 00:46:04 And the problem is that equipment that would put them in another studio is at our new studio. So I really can't take them out of here. We could put them in the corner and get my head out of mine. It's a reaction to a line. you an allergy, the hangy-bangy inflammation. But your kids are bug battling. You don't think that has anything to do with you. No, no.
Starting point is 00:46:18 Ear infection is not contagious. But you said that there was another thing. But yeah, he's been, that was like a week ago. Actually, you know what I could do? We could run a long cord and put it in the green room. We're fine. We are fine. We are fine.
Starting point is 00:46:29 We are fine. Think about that. Let's go to Amy now with the morning corny. We'll try to get his hangy-bangy repaired. Amy, you ready? Mm-hmm. Go ahead. Duh.
Starting point is 00:46:42 morning corny. What's a vampire's favorite fruit? What's a vampire's favorite fruit? Neck tree. Oh, that's a good one. That was the morning corny. I was thinking like blood orange or something. Oh, that'd be good too.
Starting point is 00:46:59 That'd work. That'd work. Even his, oh, had a little, uh. I know it hurts. No, it's hanging banging. It's hanging. Yeah. I saw on TikTok and she was like, this is creepy.
Starting point is 00:47:09 She was talking about being at the airport and a guy text her because he saw her luggage tag and her cell phone number was on her luggage tag. Yeah. And she was like, this is creepy. Now, there's a fine line between bold and creepy.
Starting point is 00:47:20 And usually that line is how good looking the person is. Because had this guy been like a really good looking and it wouldn't have been creepy. But she showed the text in the TikTok. You know, it's a white screen
Starting point is 00:47:31 with just blimp his text up there. He says, hey, Kristen, my name's Nate. I saw you and thought you were beautiful so I had to find a way to talk to you. I saw your number on your luggage tag and decided to text. I promise, this isn't as weird is it seems. Give a guy a chance. See, I feel like he went a little too hard, though.
Starting point is 00:47:47 It's like what should he have said? It's tough to begin with. You have to send a picture if you're good looking. You do. But looks and relative. They're not. Yeah, they are. Generally good looking, people know they're good looking because they have a whole life of being good looking and people rewarding them for their good looks. So if he's like not creepy and he's a pretty good looking guy, it is creepy, but you can be so good looking that you flip it to non-creepy. But you can't go with, I thought you were so beautiful. That's too intense. But you can't go that intense.
Starting point is 00:48:17 Because that also, it's already a creepy thing. You're already like walking on thin ice. And now you go, you're so beautiful. Maybe she is, but it's got to be quicker. Hey, I was just standing next to you and I saw your cell phone number on your tag. This is crazy. I've never done this. But I just wanted to say hi.
Starting point is 00:48:31 In a picture of you like sitting at the, even that's going to feel creepy unless he's so good looking. Yeah, like I know this is weird. Signed Dr. Wilson. There you go down. Yeah. Now you're implying. we're just about looks and money. Not just about, but I think a big part of initial attraction is that.
Starting point is 00:48:48 I agree with the fact that yes. Like sometimes guys can act one way and it's like, oh, this is so romantic and sweet and awesome. And then if you're not attracted to him, it's like he's a stalker. Yes. Right. It's the difference between bold and psychotic. Yes. If it's someone you would have been interested in, it's bold.
Starting point is 00:49:05 If it's someone not, it's psychotic. Right. But this is crazy to do. Weird. Out of the box, maybe. It's so on that side that you got to be so good looking to counter it. You got to have something about you to counter it. Because I think any girl getting this is going to be like, you took a picture of my tag to get my number to text me. That's weird.
Starting point is 00:49:27 So she was like, give a guy a chance. He spelled my name wrong. Okay, first of all, that shouldn't be the first thing you have a problem with Kristen. Yeah, Kristen can be spelled in different ways. Yes. Secondly, if you really wanted to talk to me, why didn't he just approach me like a normal person, valid point? This feels like such an invasion of privacy I have no idea who this guy is
Starting point is 00:49:45 and I didn't even notice anyone looking at me So he wasn't a creeper, he wasn't staring I mean The creepiest of creepers don't stare Oh hopefully she just had her number on the thing And not her address She's concerned it had her address as well Okay, well there we go
Starting point is 00:49:59 She did not respond to the text But she made a whole video about it Which is kind of responding to it Because imagine you're this guy and you see this about you I DM her and not say it was me and be like, that's crazy. I'd never do that. You need to watch out for guys like that.
Starting point is 00:50:20 And then she said PSA to everyone out there, turn your luggage tag inside out so that your personal information isn't visible. And PSA to all creepers do better. I'm just saying if he would have been somebody that she desired to date or marriage material, it would have been a different story. Yeah, like this would be a hallmark movie.
Starting point is 00:50:36 Yeah, it'd have been like, can you believe how Charlie met me? And he was like, I fell in love with the first time I saw her. We were standing outside the Starbucks and I saw it and I couldn't really get over to her. So I took my phone and I zoomed in on her luggage tag out her number and tech. I mean, that's like the greatest love story ever unless it's a guy that's creepy that wants to eat your skin. Morgan, if some guy does this to you, any chance. Any chance that it turns into a date. Listen, I like to say you try anything once, but I don't, this definitely gives off creepy vibes.
Starting point is 00:51:05 I do like question why he wouldn't just say hi in person. Could have been shy. Could have been getting on a flight. Could have been 100 reasons. But yeah, if he is going to reach out, you would want him to like, because now he knows something about you and he knows what you look like, you know nothing about him. So you'd want to send, whether it's a photo or your Instagram or something to accompany the text. If it's just a bold, flat out text, I probably wouldn't. To prove to you I'm not creepy, here's my Instagram profile.
Starting point is 00:51:29 Yeah. As long as your Instagram profile's not creepy. You're a good-looking guy. Yeah, well, that's why you send it, right? Right, but do you think creepy people know that their IG's creepy? I think creepy people know they're creepy because they're often not met positively when they make advances on anyone. Yeah. Or they think maybe creepy is not the word.
Starting point is 00:51:50 But, I mean, I always felt like a loser because nobody ever wanted to go out with me. I just felt like a loser. So I knew I was a loser. So, yeah, I think people know. That's a bold move, though. I respect the move. Also respect it from her, like going, nah, not for me. But he should have put a picture with it.
Starting point is 00:52:07 because it'd be super good looking you would have changed your mind. I'm telling you guys. No, I mean, we agree. I think you're right. We agree. And if you would have had a dog in the picture. Oh, yeah. It's over. It's over. The guy in Grand Prix, Texas won $5 million on a scratch off. That seems like a lot for a scratchoff.
Starting point is 00:52:25 Yeah, that's really good. I mean, anything seems like a lot, like $100,000, that's a lot. And we're like, that's crazy. A million bucks, that's crazy. But $5 million on a scratch off? Is that abnormally large? It must be One of the bigger tickets, probably a $20 ticket. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:39 The $100 scratch-off ticket. There you go. That was purchased at Chili Mart on South Carrier Parkway and Grand Prairie. Five million bucks on a scratch-off and in Texas you can remain anonymous. Oh. What drives you crazy or that you didn't win or they want to remain anonymous? Oh, that I didn't win. That's number one.
Starting point is 00:52:57 Number two, that he's not going to flaunt his wealth. Like, he's got to let people know. Hey, look at me. I'm retiring. NBC DFW-5 with that story. And that is the end of the first half of the podcast. A win is a win. A win is a win.
