It's competition.

And I'm like, a wild bat you were with.
It was like a first, like, closet moment from me where I was like,
You're like, I don't feel like she's hot, like the rest of that.
No, no, no.
I was like, she's beautiful.
But I'm appreciating her in a different way than these boys are.
I'm not like, but listen to Los Calderistas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or whatever you get your podcast.
Welcome to Wednesday show.
Morning, too, do you?
Morning.
Amy's back.
Yes.
Thank God.
What do you mean?
We got lost without you.
We needed you here.
Question.
What was wrong?
Oh.
I don't know what's going on with my body.
But I spent a lot of time in bed.
And the part that made me nervous was early in the morning.
I was really hot and had a fever.
And so I was like, I don't know what's happening.
I never went above 100.
But then I stayed around 99.
But, I mean, I can't risk bringing that in here to you and things you have coming up and going on.
I know, I felt like we sit far enough apart to where maybe.
Then I was like.
If anybody ever feels like they're sick, the rule is don't come to work.
I know.
It's all good.
Nobody gets upset.
Some of my girls stuff, I can power through.
I mean, that's just what we have to do.
Me too. And that's not contagious.
Obviously, a fever isn't related to that.
I don't know what my body was trying to tell me, but I was trying to listen to it.
Tanya, take a day.
And-Spa day.
Do you go to the ball?
No, I didn't.
I never left my bed or my couch.
I was like altered between those two.
And then, you know, because lunchbox still hasn't lived down the time he gave you COVID.
And I can't be that person.
He's given everybody.
He's giving everybody something.
You get him COVID.
Yeah, yeah.
Well, since Amy's back, we're going to focus on her today.
All right, Amy, what's first?
So I wasn't feeling.
very hungry. I barely ate, but what I did
enjoy was toast. And then I see this article talking
about eggs and the benefits of eggs
and how it can help with Alzheimer's.
Not an egg guy. Oh, well, you need to be.
That's my point of this study that was
published in the Journal of Nutrition. It said eating one or more
eggs per week leads to 50% lower risk of Alzheimer's.
And my aunt and uncle had Alzheimer's, so I would, now
I'm all the eggs. All the time.
Personal to you.
Eggs all the time.
Eggs all the time.
Eggs all the time.
How about?
I love eggs from my head down to my legs.
I was singing that.
My wife's like, what is that song?
I was like, it's the incredible edible egg.
And she's like, I don't know what that is.
You don't know I love eggs from my head down to my legs?
She's like, no.
Well, I don't really like eggs.
I'll have some scrambled eggs.
The only way I like an egg is scrambled egg.
But have you tried it on just a piece of toast and some butter and salt?
Yeah, yeah.
I tried that.
Yeah, it's fine.
I just don't chase eggs.
Boiled eggs?
if I'm like
purposefully trying to get somewhere with my body
lose weight for a TV shoot
but I'm not an egg guy
sunny side up
nah not an egg guy
but I love eggs
I can't believe you guys don't know that
from my head down to my legs
I know it
Did you make that up?
No
What are you talking about?
It's a commercial man
The Incredible Edible Egg
You guys are crazy
All right what else you got
All right another thing that is good for us
And it's going to help us stay young
is taking daytime naps
I saw this National Library of Medicine put out this whole benefits of daytime napping.
So has to be- If that's the case, lunchbox will be 12.
That's right.
He gets like four-hour naps.
He goes to bed.
That's not even a nap.
He goes to bed for a second bedtime in the day.
That's so amazing.
If you think about it, though, he still is kind of immature at like a 12-year-old.
Also, like he does look like Doug Funny, who's very young.
Yeah.
Those were two shots.
that were unnecessary.
Welcome back, Amy.
Goodness.
Okay, all right, the benefits of daytime napping.
Go ahead.
It could slow the rate
at which your brain shrinks as you age.
Boom.
Naps of 30 minutes or less provide
the best short-term cognitive benefits,
so keep it around that.
He doesn't do or less.
What's an average nap you think?
Average.
Two hours.
What's a really strong nap?
Three and a half, four hours.
Wow.
That's like a night's sleep for Bobby.
It is.
That's wild that you can sleep for that long in the day.
Which, they do.
do say napping earlier in the day is less likely to disrupt your nighttime sleep, which would be the goal.
So I'm jealous. I'm jealous. I'm, if you want to hate, hate, hate, I don't care. You hate because you ain't.
No, I'm not hating, and I am. I mean, I'm just saying naps are amazing. I've been doing them forever. And I, I mean, even if I get 15 minutes, I mean, it kind of sucks. But I'm like, I'll do it. I'll close my eyes for 15 minutes. Let's go.
He's also one of those guys who can just go to sleep. It doesn't matter where. That's crazy. Like, we did a bit with him once where he went to a mattress.
like store and wanted to test out the mattresses and he went to sleep in the store.
It was amazing.
He did another bit where we watched him sleep on social media.
Yeah.
He just put the phone up and streamed himself napping.
I fell asleep in about 10 seconds.
He just fell asleep.
I mean, I'm jealous of that too because you must have no anxiety.
No anxiety.
And what's great is like I lay down in my brain, it's not like people, there's a lot of million things running through my head.
And it doesn't matter when I nap, I can still go to bed at night.
Like, it's like, if I go to nap from two.
Two to five.
Yeah, two to five if I naped.
And it's nine o'clock.
I had time to go to bed.
That's the goal.
He said it himself.
He has nothing going on his head.
You know sometimes what I think about lunchbox is he tries to paint this picture of his like rough childhood and, you know, lived like on the edge.
Little white criminals.
But I really feel like out of a lot of us on the show, he had one of the most secured
upbringing.
Like he's probably one of the most secure.
That's so cool.
Very jealous.
Oh, yeah.
My parents were very loving.
They were there for me 100%.
You're your dad still kiss on the mouth.
And my mom.
We've never done triple kiss, though.
What, though?
We haven't.
That's disgusting.
I just said we haven't.
So ideally, he's technically one of the best partners are like mate.
Like if you were looking for a secure mate, Lund Foxx has this, I think he has a secure attachment style.
Yeah, and he had great models to learn from.
Even if he wasn't purposefully doing it, I think a lot of my trouble and I'm
marriage for me because I didn't my mom or I wasn't even live with my mom she was until
later on she was it was just her or it was just my grandma I didn't see that so I've had to like
figure it out and not really know what a secure safe relationship even is which by the way
tough for my wife sometimes yeah yeah it's tough for the mate mate let's open up the mailbag
you send a email and we read it all you
It's something we call Bobby Mailbag.
Hello, Bobby Bones.
I'm wondering what your thoughts are about younger teens getting jobs over the summer.
My son just turned 14.
He's on the fence about working at a local restaurant.
I mean, really, though, my husband is.
He thinks it'll be good for my son to learn responsibility and earn a little money.
I think he should have a couple more carefree summers.
I'm trying to figure out if I should urge him to work or let him have another summer or just being a kid.
Signed, Mom in Tampa Bay.
different for me I had to work
to buy school clothes
but I couldn't get a real job until I was 16
not where I got a real paycheck
like to the government and stuff so I went in and just
you know hustle yards
or built sea walls
and did stuff like that
which maybe you'd make more because you didn't have to pay taxes
yeah but you got paid more
paid less because you were a kid
true you didn't know the rules
but to everybody listening out there works for the IRS
I always pay my taxes
anybody else saying stuff like that
you check them out I'm all good over here
if you babysit
Okay, look, here's the thing.
If the son wants to do it, I think you absolutely should let him do it.
I think it's great for him to learn how just how the real world works.
And can they pay a 14-year-old?
Yeah.
Yes, they can.
And let them see how taxes work.
I don't think you should make them do like 25, 30 hours a week if they don't want to.
If they start to go, this is awesome, I can go to work and make money and buy stuff, then that's great.
Let them work as much as they want because it's not going to be affecting schoolwork.
It's summertime.
But you have to make the buying stuff.
a thing. Because if you just buy stuff
for them, then they won't want to work. But if you
make it to where we're not going to buy anything for you,
but if you can work, you can buy whatever you want, then
there's something to work for. I think if that's
it. But if it's the purpose of just, he
just wants to go work and make some money to buy stuff, I think you
should also let him just work to buy stuff.
Sure. Himself too.
Yeah, I think this is great. She's actually really
blessed. A day, are to have
a child that's like, I would like
to go work this summer. Let him work.
Encourage him to work.
Don't overwork him. If he doesn't
doesn't want to do it because you want him to have a summer.
But it's also awesome as a kid to have a job and create a new like net of friends,
like people that you work with.
That's what life is.
You bunch of people to the office become like you're not your family,
but like the people,
you're like fake family.
It's like us.
Family.
Yeah.
Fake family.
So my recommendation is let them work.
Don't make them work more than he wants to unless you need him to.
And I think he's going to have one of the.
those summers that you're wanting to have by working because he's going to meet people older.
He's going to make friends. He's going to learn about money. It's going to be awesome.
Does she want him to meet older people? The older crowd, man. But he'll learn. He'll meet 16 year olds, 17 year olds,
25 year olds. One of the best summers ever had was when I was a life card. I mean, because we were all
just so we hung out and then when we shut the pool down, we'd hang out afterwards and it was a lot
of fun. I just can't imagine there's other 14 year olds working here. There can't be like 10, 14 year olds.
The other people are going to be adults at the rest of them. I know, but I'm on the
breaks of the 25 year old friendships. No, not friendships, just, but they will be at work.
You'll know people that are older
Yeah, true, true. Okay.
Let them work.
Yeah, yeah.
Let him work.
That's great.
That will be the summer you think you want them to have.
We got your key in the clothes, Bobby Feltag.
Yeah.
The assignment was, bring us something funny from the internet.
First off, there are videos of cicatives forming people all over TikTok.
I saw one where a woman was mowing her yard, but there were so many cicadas.
She was mowing her yard in a beekeeper suit.
Okay.
Which is hilarious.
Although the cicadas have started to be quieter.
Yeah. I think maybe they went back in their holes.
They are gone. They're gone. They moved out. Vacations
over. Yeah, man. Here's a woman in Tennessee.
She hates cicadas. She's on TikTok talking about him.
We is under attack out here in Tennessee. We is out here fighting for our lives.
I hear in Tennessee, baby. These cicadas have invaded.
Like how they said them aliens was coming, it is time to rally the troops. See a cicada. Shoot a cicator.
I'm talking about see a cicada. Stop a cicada.
That's very funny.
That is very funny.
Here's the guy who works in an amusement park.
I'm going to play some of this.
He messes with people because right before they're strapped in,
and they're on one of those rides that just goes,
and shoots them off.
And right before he shoots him off,
he's like, something's wrong with your seat.
Ah, boom.
No.
Or like, hey, your thing's not connected.
And then right when they freak out, he shoots them off.
Hold on.
It's showing red on your seat down, so I've got to come check it.
I'm so dumb.
I forgot putting shoulder straps on.
He thinks of all different ways of something being wrong to scare them.
Check the chain or something wrong with the chain.
Yeah, it's showing red here.
Hold on.
Hold on, ladies.
I got to check the chain.
He then has a camera that will show their hilarious reactions as they fall down.
I forgot the shoulder strap.
Hold on.
That's messed up, man.
Oh, that is so funny, though.
Here's a mom with her toddler, and she has a dollar bill, and it's George Washington on the dollar bill, obviously.
But George Washington has a white wig.
This kid thinks that that is grandma, not George Washington.
Who's on there, Paisley?
Gramals.
That's my scrammel.
That's your grandma?
That's my grandma, yes.
That's not a grandma.
It's George Washington.
John Washington?
I can kind of picture what a grandma looks like, though, now.
Cute.
Here's a Caitlin Clark press conference, but done with AI,
because Caitlin Clark just gets pounded every game, like, unneeded.
And so here is a fake post-game press conference that someone made,
because of all the hate that's on Caitlin Clark using AI.
I'm the richest woman in the WMBA.
I've got endorsements with Nike and Gatorade.
Most of these other ladies work second jobs at Foot Locker.
Just take Melissa sitting next to me.
She makes less than a high school teacher in Ohio.
No hardworking American wants to spend their hard-earned cash to see a bunch of clumsy bricklaying females.
I made more money in college than these women see in their whole careers.
So mostly it's what people wish you would say because how much you're just getting pounded.
And then here's Paul Rudd eating peanuts at a Royals game and forgetting he has a peanut ale.
Because it's been 15 years
You'll be a little bit of a seat
Don't worry about him
How could you forget
Does anybody have a nephew?
All right
So there's my five that found on the internet
Eddie, give me something funny
I read that this guy
He went to a YouTube concert in Scotland
And he said man it was so cool
Bono was on stage
And he made the whole crowd
Shut up
Like he just said everybody to be quiet
For like a few seconds
And then the whole place got quiet
And he started clapping his hands
just like that
and then he said
every time I clap my hands
a child in Africa dies
and he was like wow
and then this guy in the crowd goes
well stop clapping
did I LOL
so hard
you idiot
stop why are you killing the kids
that's funny
lunchbox
yeah wheel of fortune they had a four word
phrase and the answer
ended up being
this is the best
But before they got the right answer, this guy gets this.
Tomorrow's, right in the butt.
The girl goes, what?
I mean, it could have been that.
Well, there weren't two T's, though.
That's a problem.
He didn't think that one too, I don't think.
Pat, right in the butt.
But would it ever be that?
I don't think so.
No, but I don't think it would be right in the butt.
I mean, Pat said his face is just like, uh, like.
All right, Ramundo, what do you got?
There's this English golfer and she's smoking.
while she plays golf, so she's been getting a ton of attention,
and guys have even started hitting on her now?
Here you go.
I generally was walking to the range, had my hands full.
Someone asked me for an autograph, and I'm not going to say no,
because I always like sign an autograph to them.
I just had my cigarette in my mouth.
It's just one of them things, but then it's been crazy.
The fans have been shot at my name this week.
Someone said I've dropped something and handed their phone number in my hand,
on a piece of paper in my hand,
and I thought it was so it was so he's so we can figure out where I'm taking out for dinner tonight.
text them, obviously. When I saw her first,
people were like, that's John Daly's daughter, because she's not just smoking a
cigarette plane. He does that. PGA,
WPGA, LPGA, excuse me.
But she said she was trying to stop vaping, so
she started smoking cigarettes. Well, that doesn't.
Why know? I was like,
Is one better?
I don't think so. I think smoking's better.
But you do think that's better than that? Really?
Yeah, I think vaping is really bad for you.
Oh, I think they're both just equally bad.
Not good.
She'll finish 18th hole and she'll start ripping a heater.
It is hilarious to see.
Ripping a what?
A heater? Or a dart.
Is that what you say?
Yeah, well, yeah.
Okay.
Ripping a dart.
All right, Ramundo, thank you.
You can have opinions.
You can have like a strong stance.
And then there's your body having its own program.
I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans,
a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans.
We share stories and scientific insights to help us all.
all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation.
There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our
relationships.
I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change.
We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes.
Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your
podcast. On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth with John Hobriant, I sit down with Tiffany
the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money.
What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people
when they're no longer here? We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build
real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts. Too many of us were never, ever taught.
Financial education is not always about.
like, I'm going to get rich.
That's great.
It's about creating an atmosphere for you to be able to take care of yourself
and leave a strong financial legacy for your family.
If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money,
this conversation is for you to hear more.
Listen to Money and Wealth with John O'Brien
from the Black Effect Network on the I'd Heart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Will Ferrell's Big Money Players
and IHeart Podcast presents soccer moms.
So I'm Leanne.
This is my best friend Janet.
Hey.
And we have been joined at the hips since high school.
Absolutely.
Now a redacted amount of years later.
We're still joined at the hip.
Just a little bit bigger hips.
Wider.
This is a podcast.
We're recording it as we tailgate our youth soccer games in the back of my Honda Odyssey.
With all the snacks and drink.
Sidebar.
Why did you get hard seltzer instead of beer?
Well, then you got it.
Do you want a white collar or something here?
Just hit it.
What are y'all doing?
microphones? Are you making a rap album?
Oh, I would.
Come on.
I would buy it.
Cuts through the defense like a hot
knife through sponge cake.
That sounds delicious.
Oh, you're lucky I'm not a drug addict.
You're lucky I'm not an alcoholic.
You're lucky I'm not a killer.
I love this team and I'm really trying to be
a figure in their lives that they can rely on.
Oh.
Listen to soccer moms on the IHeartRadio app
Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
It's time for the good news.
With lunchbox.
Stay home, it's something good.
Six-year-old Evan Croxell was relieved when his house didn't get hit by a tornado.
They had storms in his, you know, neighborhood, his town.
And luckily his house was still standing.
But then his mom explained them, you know, some of your friends, their houses got hit.
They don't have any toys left.
And, you know, they're going to be rebuilding their lives.
He's like, well, Mom, we got to do something.
So he said, I'm going to set up a toy stand.
where I'm going to have all my toys out in the front.
And if anybody needs toys, they can come by, pick out toys for free and we'll have a conversation.
Dang, for free.
For free, not even selling them.
Yeah, that's good.
Six years old, giving away his toys.
That's crazy.
That's good stuff.
What's his name again?
Evan Croxel.
And how does that make you feel about your kids?
That there's hope for your kids or that you parented probably a little poorly in comparison.
I think that probably poor parenting on my kids.
my part because I have an almost six-year-old
and I try to give away one of his toys
to Goodwill and he said
no, we still need that toy.
So maybe he needed the toy. Do you think about that?
He hasn't played within two years. Oh, he hasn't?
Great job to those parents. Great job to Evan. That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
We got five bucks to the winner.
Yes. Of the Bobby Fuge!
If you win, you can flip a coin,
possibly double your money.
Oh, I like that.
Let's go.
We rolled the dice
backstage.
Going first is
Lunchbox.
Name
a very famous person
named John.
J-O-H-N.
We asked 2,000 people
on social media to name a famous person
named John.
Lunchbox you're up first.
Name a John.
It was a little weird to say, but yeah.
Name a John.
Yeah.
Name a John.
Name John.
John.
John Mayor.
Show me John Mayor.
Number five answer, have yourself.
Have yourself five little John points.
Good.
John Lennon.
Show me John Lennon.
That's good, dude.
That's number one.
Six points.
John.
This always gets so hard.
It does.
It even feels weird saying the word after a while.
It does.
John.
John.
On
Cougar Mellencamp
John Cougar Mellon camp
That's incorrect
He would be the guy that's saying
Little Pink Houses for you and me
Yeah for you and me
Is he the
I'm gonna much in on chili dog
Uh huh
Sure is outside of taste freeze
That's good
Eddie
Name of John
Let's go with a guy in the office
John Krasinski
Oh good
Oh wow
Number 10 answer
10 points for you Eddie
Let's go
with the guy that was in office
a long, long time ago, John Adams.
Show me John, second
president, Adams.
Okay. I'm in trouble.
Amy, over to you. We're talking about famous people
named John. Not maybe John's you know
in your life. We'll keep those
private.
Yeah, for sure. Yeah. John Stamos?
John Stamos?
Uncle Jesse.
Number six answer, John Stamos.
Amy, that's good.
Okay.
Well, it's too late, man.
I know.
Gosh.
Four answers are off the board.
At number one was John Lennon.
And number five was John Mayer.
Number six was John Stamos.
And at number 10, John Krasinski,
who played Jim Halpert on the office,
amongst other things.
Go ahead.
How about John the Baptist?
John the Baptist?
That's like Jesus.
How did he now make the list?
That's crazy.
This is, I can't play this game.
Yeah, I'm out too.
It's all are heathens.
All right, points are doubled lunchbox.
Four answers off the board.
name a famous person named John.
Yeah, John Michael Montgomery.
John, life's a dance.
You learn as you go.
Michael Montgomery.
That's a good guess.
Eddie?
Points a double, points a double.
John Daly?
John Daly, the golfer.
Amy, over to you?
Okay.
Three rounds total?
Yeah, John Deere Green.
John Deere Green on a hot summer night.
What?
I would say John Daly the.
John Deere before John Deere green.
But neither are wrong.
John Deere.
Oh, yeah, that's what I meant the tractor.
John Deere.
John Deer is, yeah, I don't know why I said green.
John Deer Green.
The color he painted it.
I think I was just singing the song.
John Deer Green on a hot summer night.
That was the color up there.
But no John Deer.
No John Deer.
John.
Points are tripled.
John.
Lunchbox.
This is the last chance you got.
You only have six points.
You need a famous John.
Yeah.
I need a famous one.
I also need one that's a legend.
You mean John Legend.
Oh, that's good.
Show me John Legend.
What?
Dang, that's crazy.
Eddie, you're in the league.
So you don't necessarily have to score.
There is no John Legend on the list.
You don't necessarily have to score here, but it would be good.
Points are tripled.
One is John Lennon, five is John Mayors, six is John Stamos, and ten is John Krasinski.
Name a John.
I mean, no one said it had to be his first name.
So give me Elton John.
Come on, baby.
Give me Elton John, the tiny dancer.
Hold him closer.
Elton John.
Okay, must be the first name only.
I was going to flip it.
Amy, a famous person named John.
What about John Party?
Show me John Party.
For the win.
No!
No, number nine answer was 27 points.
Amy.
Amy has now won the game.
Let's see how far she can go.
Jonathan Taylor Thomas
Jump
He's a Jonathan
Here is Amy's winning song first
Here you go
Good job, good job
Let's walk down the board here guys
John F. Kennedy number two
Oh my gosh
Another president
John Sina at number three
John Bon Jovi at four
No
John Denver at seven
John Travolta at 8
Okay
Those all make sense
Yeah I had John Wilkes boots
But that's not a good one
No
It is a John
Not on the list though
Amy you're the winner
That's a tough one
Man you're right
When you start saying John
You're like oh no
I started to think like I had
Sina written down
But I was like his first name's not John
It's not John
It's I don't know
But I had all I had
Was Sina written down
Because I thought
Is that his first name?
And I was like no
I don't think it's John.
I think it's made the James.
James Sina.
Yeah, we need to go with that one.
Good thing.
Amy is our winner.
Amy have $5.
Oh, oh.
So here's what you can do.
You can have the $5.
Okay.
Or I can go to the bingo property.
And you can go over under the number 35.
Oh.
If you want to double it.
Okay.
Double it.
Over under.
Let's go.
We go over 35.
Yeah.
I'm going to go over 35 to double my money.
Okay, yes, over or under?
Over.
Okay, she picks over.
How many numbers are in there, 100?
All is.
All, uh, 42, maybe doubles.
Wow.
Wow.
Wow.
Now triple it?
Yeah.
What?
Triple it?
So do you have a 10?
Over under number two?
I can, oh.
I can give you a chance at one more five spot here.
Over under if you want to go one more round.
Okay.
Five more bucks.
Go ahead.
Go ahead.
All right.
Now over under 30, still 35?
Yep.
Okay.
Let's go.
Let's go.
under this time. She picks under.
Under.
Give it to me.
66. Looks like I can keep my money.
Wow, just like that.
Just like that.
Now she goes.
Why you don't get greedy, both.
And that's the way the cookie crumbles.
Eddie, what happened?
Yeah, so my five-year-old, he finished his baseball season.
Well, I guess it's like coach pitch baseball, whatever.
And at the end of the season, they all had a little huddle around.
The coach did a little speech.
Thank you guys so much for being part of this team.
You guys were awesome.
then he busts out a box of balls and a bunch of baseballs that he wrote on and on each ball
he gave to a single kid and it had a word that described that kid so like if it was like fast
he wrote the word fast and like jimmy you're fast so here's your ball my son got mighty because he
is a strong old he's just a big dude like when he was even smaller him and my bulldog used to run at each
other and just smack yeah and they both get up like a roo like blow birds above their head
Let me get back up.
So I'm doing the same thing.
I got to have some baseballs over here.
Oh.
That's why I have the box of balls.
Oh, for us?
Okay.
With your time?
Words, yeah.
So your coach right now.
All right, first I'd like to say, I'd like to thank all of you for being here today.
Hey, what a great run we've had on this show.
That's right, coach.
Thank you, coach.
Yeah.
Good season.
Many years.
We've been doing this thing for, I don't know.
Long time.
Long decades.
Too long.
So I'd like to first start.
And all I did was write down the words that came to my mind.
whenever I thought of you
and so first off I have lunchbox here
oh yeah and for lunchbox
I wrote
opinionated
okay
and unyielding
unyielding
right
that means he just doesn't stop
oh he will not stop
so this ball here as you can see
I wrote with the black sharpie on the baseball
your handwriting is terrible
okay I thought I had terrible handwriting
that is bad too
can't read that man it's tough to write on a baseball
you can't if it gets closer
Baseball's are hard to write on.
Here's your ball?
Yeah, yeah.
Oh, gosh.
You're throwing it?
Okay.
We catch that crap.
All right.
Unyielding and what was it loud?
Can you read it now?
I can read opinionated.
The other one I would have had to...
Well, you didn't know that word, so that's probably tough.
But he doesn't stop.
It doesn't matter if he's right or wrong.
All right.
Okay, okay, good, good, I like that.
Well, you didn't sign it, man.
But you didn't sign it?
Oh, I know you want me to sign it.
Oh, my gosh.
Oh, my goodness.
You guys.
Throw the ball like...
This is why...
I threw it just fine.
He not throw a baseball?
It's like we already don't have equipment.
I was doing a double play.
I was trying to toss it to.
All right.
Sorry, I didn't sign it.
I didn't like autograph.
Wait, so why are you signing it?
He told me to.
The coach signs the ball, don't they?
Is he going to sell this?
Oh.
Oh, my.
Guys, guys, you're going to hurt someone.
That's him.
Okay, next up.
I caught on my chair.
Next up.
Eddie.
Come on.
I wrote on yours
Bald
I did not write ball
that would have been
me but funny
I wrote
funny
nice
and I wrote
makes everything
a little more fun
yeah
so fun funny
fun and funny
that's Eddie
I signed it
I'm going in between
those two lines
thank you coach
come on
I got it
I can catch
good job
good job
I didn't sign it
right there man
BB
Morgan number two
Number Two, head of our digital.
I wrote bright, as in
you have a pretty bright presence about you.
I wrote hopeful
because through this process
of your dating trials and tribulations,
you've remained hopeful for the most part.
And then I wrote Midwestern
because you represent it more than Ray does.
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
And you have very positive Midwestern sensibilities.
I think people from the Midwest are pretty awesome.
So Morgan number two, I wrote this on your bowl.
Thank you so much.
Those are all really kind things.
But Morgan got three words.
Nice.
I just wrote what was coming.
I mean, I only got two.
Yeah.
I don't play softball.
I haven't even got mine yet.
It's not about the amount of words.
I'm just saying y'all got two.
She got three.
That's all I'm saying.
It's not a competition.
No, at least Eddie got like sentences.
I mean.
Eddie did get a sentence.
Eddie did get a literation.
Raymundo.
Yeah.
sits in the glass room.
He's going to talk to get to rem.
Pushes every button on the board.
If you hear a sound, it's Raymondo.
It gets here.
butt crack before anybody else.
Because he's worried.
He's going to be late.
I wrote on Raymundo's bowl.
Anxious.
Stressed.
Yeah.
Stressed out.
I wrote lunch pail.
Because you show up to freaking work.
I'm going to go put that thing in the mill, man.
Frame it.
Like it doesn't matter.
Lunch pail.
And then I wrote consistent.
If there's somebody who's here, always at the same time, it's Ramundo.
And then I wrote random.
Very random.
Agree.
You never quite know what he's going to say.
I would say.
are valid. Thank you. Just throw it through the glass.
I will not.
Here, I'll take it. Oh, boy.
Oh, wow.
Move this way at the light. There you go.
Nice. Good catch.
Amy, you're my final ball.
He gets four.
She has four words, but three dashes.
Four words.
What do you mean?
We all got two.
You got a whole sentence. It doesn't matter.
You guys are making stuff.
He has to put four because X gets half.
Oh, I didn't think about that.
No, that's already happened.
Oh, four things.
I get it.
No, it's three dashes.
Okay, Amy, I've put on yours.
Resilient.
Last couple years, you've been through a whole bunch of, you know?
Mm-hmm.
Between your dad dying and your divorce.
We don't go through all of it, but we know.
Resilient.
And you went through it on the air on your back.
Yeah.
I wrote cool mom because you say that a lot.
You just said I can't say that.
Right, but I can say that you say that.
I don't always agree with it, but that's like what I think of when you think about you.
It's like you always saying you're a cool mom.
But you're, that, it's supposed to be your,
So you're saying I'm a cool mom.
I'm saying you think you're a cool mom and it's rubbed off on me.
So you don't, okay.
Just scratch that one.
No, no.
Just admit that you think I'm a cool mom.
And then I wrote Keen.
And so I know you guys are going to ask me, what does that mean?
Yeah, I was going to Google that.
Okay, good.
Keen means having a strong interest and eagerness to learn, grow, and excel in a specific area.
Oh, yeah.
I think more than anybody, Amy is invested in herself and has learned a lot about herself and how she wants to pursue relationships, not even romantic.
but and I just think that you have put in the most work on yourself and that's pretty cool so I wrote keen
that is your ball that way to get keen wa from that is not it well keen is of the k and keen waws i think
with a cue not the same sounds the same can you catch it though yeah i played softball okay you guys have
stop saying that you could have put athletic on there i did not though throw it throw hard throw hard no
no i'm not going it hard she did catch it so there you go there's balls for all you guys thank you man
I just gave you all my balls.
I see what you did.
I didn't do anything.
You can have opinions.
You can have like a strong stance.
And then there's your body having its own program.
I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans,
a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans.
We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of
turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience
rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change.
We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes.
Listen to a slight change of plans on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your
podcast. On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth, with John Holbro,
Bryant, I sit down with Tiffany the
budgetista Aliche to talk
about what it really takes
to take control of your money. What would that
look like in our families if everyone
was able to pass on wealth
to the people when they're no longer here?
We break down budgeting, financial discipline,
and how to build real wealth
starting with the mindset shifts
too many of us were never,
ever taught. Financial
education is not always
about like, I'm going to get rich. That's great.
It's about
an atmosphere for you to be able to take care of yourself
and leave a strong financial legacy for your family.
If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money,
this conversation is for you to hear more.
Listen to Money and Wealth with John O'Brien
from the Black Effect Network on the I'd Heart Radio app,

Hey, Ernest, what's up?
Look, money is something we all deal with,
but financial literacy is what helps turn
income into real wealth.
On each episode of the podcast, Earn Your Leisure, we break down the conversations you need
to understand money, investing, and entrepreneurship.
From stocks and real estate to credit, business, and generational wealth, we translate complex
financial topics into real conversations everyone can understand.
Because the truth is, most people will never talk how money really works.
But once you understand the system, you can start to build within it.
That means ownership, smarter investing, and creating opportunities.
not just for yourself, but for the next generation.
If you want to learn how to build wealth, understand the markets, and think like an owner,
earn your leisure is the podcast for you.

Here's Amy's pile of stories.
So, Bobby, do you know the difference between, like, on a woman?
Would you be able to tell if she's got a side part going on or a middle part?
Yeah, for sure.
In her hair.
Yeah, my wife has lectured me on what's cool and what's not a few times.
It changes.
quite often. Oh yeah, it's so hard to
keep up. I do a side part myself. Yeah.
Because I'm millennial and I
love a side part, but I
was told that was old a couple of years ago. What if you have forward bangs though?
Like Morgan. Yeah, bangs are just so, you're like a...
A different category? Yeah, it's a different category. Like if you can pull
off the bangs, good for you. Lunchbox has bangs. They're so cute.
He does have bangs. He does. Yeah, so what's now...
Anyway, the story is that
the side part is trending again. Just as we were getting used to
the middle part. It's now cool to do the side part again, so you won't look old if you do it.
Who's deciding this? Like, who does the part and says this is cool?
16 year old on Twitter. And TikTok. Or TikTok. Somewhere. And then I have to read about it probably
a few weeks, months later. I don't know why I said Twitter. I know 16 year old on Twitter. Yeah,
I meant to say TikTok. Oh, you go ahead. So speaking of trends, there is a food trend that's
really hot right now and it's called spicy. Sweet and spicy. That's it. I don't like anything
spicy. I'm as generic white guy as possible.
Nothing spicy.
But have you tried Sisy?
I don't want it.
Spicey ruins the food.
I don't like it.
I end up having to throw it out if it's like even if I get mild to spicy, like I'm risking not being able to eat it.
Dang.
Or not being able to enjoy it.
No.
Your IBS?
No, just the taste of it.
I don't like anything too hot.
But I don't drink milk out of a glass.
So don't be thinking I'm full white boy.
So from chips, popcorn, burgers, even to ice cream, frozen pizza and alcohol, so many brands are hot.
on the spicy train.
I like sweet.
I don't like spicy.
You spicy person?
Ish.
I don't want to be too hot.
If I get like if I'm at the grocery store and I'm looking at salsa and it says mild medium hot.
Mild and medium's not the same?
No.
No, man.
Medium's hotter than mild.
Yeah.
That might be the problem.
I think it's the same.
I think I got medium a few times.
Or like at Chipotle they have mild medium hot.
You can't do both with two ends.
That's the problem.
You can't have a mild and a medium.
You can have a mild and you can have like second level or a little.
like. Why are you finding this? It's just the way it is, man. You never bought salsa before?
Yeah, but I think I get mild and medium mixed up because the M's. Yeah, mild is, you would like mild.
No, this is stupid. Yeah. Okay, go ahead. We can really learn from kids because a survey asked kids ages 5 to 14 what their perfect summer would look like.
Mild, semi hot. Oh boy. Oh, boy. And then hot. You got you can't do the end.
What about? I think I've thrown stuff out because I thought medium was mild.
Wow. I was today years old when that happened when you realized they're two different flavors.
I think one of the things here that we learn from kids is don't stress over salsa.
Yeah.
It's called. So what kids want for the summer, which we could learn from them.
Five pool parties, three road trips, five trips to the beach and eight hours of play every day.
Yeah.
Yeah.
With a lot of money.
60% of the kids surveyed said that really just having more playtime was crucial.
So the lesson is...
Are they surveying kids?
They should be working on this medium mile thing.
Well, the lesson here is make time for play this summer, regardless of your age, because at some point, we just forget how to play.
There's mild, there's medium, there's hot, and there's extra hot.
Those are the four flavors of labeling peppers.
The two M's throw me off, man.
You can do mild or extra mild, but then that would be below.
No, that's not true.
There's another one.
Slap your mama hot.
Is that?
I've seen that.
Shut the clock up.
Okay, but you guys are going on like specific ones on like specific companies.
Or like, you know, eat this and you might.
die. Yeah, yeah. Fire in the hole.
Oh. Oh, I've seen that one too.
What are those chips called where the kids would eat?
To Pacito or the one chip challenge?
Pocky chip. What's the one shot that I took?
Oh, don't even. Yeah, that's death by liquor.
We don't talk about that. All right, is that it, Amy?
Yeah, maybe. That's my file.
That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news.
Who's Amy?
Tell me something good.
A 12-year-old saved her toddler cousin's life. Her name is Amelia Jacariah, and
she's a Girl Scout and at Girl Scouts,
she learned CPR and other life-saving skills.
So the moment that her cousin's toy fell in the pool
and then her cousin was at went after it
and was struggling to get it,
she jumped in and saved her cousin, like, no problem.
She said she didn't even think about
like her actions being that heroic in any way
because it's just like instinct
and what she was supposed to do
and then she received a medal of honor
from the Girl Scouts and that's when she realized like,
wow, I really did do a cool thing here.
And again, she's only 12 years old.
And being a Girl Scout.
It's a big deal.
I got kind of the training to do good stuff.
Yeah.
Yeah, speaking of training, now Amelia is advising others to stay aware of the surroundings to help prevent similar accidents.
Absolutely.
It's called situational awareness.
We have somebody here that saved it.
That's right.
Go ahead.
That's right.
I just saw you sitting up taller over there.
Well, I'm just saying, you know, situational awareness is very important.
And you learn CPR is very important.
And why?
I was a lifeguard.
I was a lifeguard.
That's where I initially learned CPR had three saves under my belt.
One was a double save.
Dang.
Yeah.
But I've continued to recertify myself in CPR training because when I was a foster parent, we had to do that.
Do you consider yourself a hero?
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
No, man, you just do what you do to just kind of be good for the world.
And you know what?
That's what makes you a hero.
I guess.
All right, good story.
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
Let's get over to Amy and The Morning Corny.
The Morning Corny.
Why did the magazine go to therapy?
Why did the magazine go to therapy?
It had too many issues.
That was the morning corny.
On the phone, Talia.
Hey, Talia, good morning.
Welcome to the show.
Hi, how's it going?
Pretty good.
What's your story?
I was in Leepers Fork at the Country Boy Restaurant.
and I'm reading a text message from a friend that sends books
and I'm not paying attention to anything around me
and my daughter is in the doorway
and won't move out of these two folks' way to get inside the restaurant.
So I get her by her arm and I pull her to aside.
Like, come on, you know, you move out of the way.
And then I look up and my party that's with me
and they said, oh, my God, did you see who that was?
I said, no.
Fallon was in their way.
And I said, it was Rupa.
my daughter went and moved out of the doorway for Riba.
That's pretty cool.
That's really cool.
Did Riba, was she leaving the restaurant doorway or like walking to another table doorway?
She was walking into the restaurant doorway.
Dang.
Did you, I don't know, do like lunchbox and go a salt over the phone and like, what are you eating?
Oh, I went and scoop around and see if she was inside the restaurant, but they took her in the back.
Yeah, you know why?
Why?
So people wouldn't go snoop around to see if she was eating.
Lunchbox ruined it for everyone.
He's run it for everybody.
So was that the last you saw of her?
Yes, that's the last I saw of her.
But then I went and sat down and ate my food and I seen Young Sheldon.
He was there too.
What are your restaurant is this?
Yeah, where are you?
Are we in Hollywood?
No, Leepers Fork at the restaurant.
But Young Sheldon is not a kid anymore, right?
He's like 15 or 16.
He's taller, right?
I didn't know his name.
Yeah, yeah.
So, no, no, I know.
But I'm saying that.
I mean, he's not a young, small kid.
He's a big kid, right?
He's grown to a teenager.
Yes, he is grown, yes, sir.
How did you know who that was?
Does somebody tell you?
Well, people were getting up and taking their picture with him,
and I was like, well, who is that guy, you know?
And then I looked around and got on the phone, and it was him.
And I swear I've seen Rob Lowe, but everybody told me I was wrong.
The same night?
Maybe you just think you're seeing these people.
Yeah, the same day.
What?
The same thing.
I need to go to Leepers for, dude.
Reva, Young Sheldon, and Roblo in one day in a tiny town.
In the same restaurant?
In the same restaurant.
I think there was something going on for Dolly Parton.
It was around the Super Bowl.
And everybody was in town of it.
What?
I felt like it was like yesterday or something.
Okay.
This might make sense.
All right, all right.
Well, thank you for your call.
I really appreciate that.
Yeah, no problem.
On a Sunday morning at the Country Boy.
How many years ago?
Oh, this past January.
Oh, okay.
All right, well, I appreciate that call.
I hope you have a great day.
Thanks.
You too.
See you later.
This is an awkward thing.
And hopefully young Sheldon didn't feel this, but I remember it while she was talking about it.
There will be times where people would like, hey, Bobby, can I get a picture?
And I'm like, yeah, yeah.
And so someone will see us taking a picture and they'll come over and be like, hey, can I get a picture?
And I'm like, yeah, and they'll take the picture and go, who are you again?
Oh, gosh.
And they just saw somebody.
Well, they just saw somebody doing it.
So, like, you must have be of note.
And then you don't even want to explain it because it's not going to live up to the hype.
They've quickly assigned to you in their mind.
Okay, what's your name again?
Who are you?
And if I'm like, this is what I do.
Oh.
You watch them delete their picture.
What do you say what that you do?
Like, you say you're on the radio?
Like, what do you say?
It just depends where I am.
Bobby Bones.
Sometimes I'll say, I'm in entertainment.
Because I don't want to be disappointed.
because yeah, I am.
I do a few things,
but,
or if it's like, hey,
how does that person know you?
I'd be like,
oh, they listen to the show,
the radio show,
or they listen to the podcast
or they've seen me on this.
But a lot of times...
You don't say I won season 19
of Dancing with the Stars?
27.
I'm an author.
Oh, season 27?
Yeah.
I don't say like three-time best-selling author.
Dude, I'm an author would be legit.
I don't say.
That's true.
I don't know.
Or you say I entertain millions.
I write books.
I just would say,
if somebody doesn't know,
I would just say I'm an entertainment.
That's good.
I mean, it's generic.
But if a woman were to say that, that's a little tricky.
That is.
You know, like, you can say that safely.
I don't think.
I don't think you assume somebody's a prostitute or a stripper if they just go,
like, what do you do?
I'm an entertainment.
Oh, you're a prostitute.
No, I don't think that's it at all.
Oh, okay.
It's not like dancer.
I don't know.
I just don't know that I'd be able to say entertainment.
I would think porn star, but I definitely wouldn't think.
No, I don't think that at all.
Okay.
Let's talk to Amelia real quick.
Amelia in Alabama.
Amelia, you're on the show.
Yeah, morning.
Because she could get in a game or she, I love the show.
We are a long-time listeners, and we really enjoy the show.
I listen to all every morning.
I really enjoy morning corny.
I came to get like a game or get in the game or like some crap from the back or maybe a timeout.
Okay, here's what I'll do.
I have some cards here.
I can't, okay, I can either just give you something as a birthday gift or I can let you play a game,
but if you lose, you don't get a prize. It's up to you. But legally, I can only do one of the two.
Do you just want a, like a little prize or do you want to play for something with the risk of getting nothing?
He's asking the birthday girl.
I think it's a girl.
We just, I think that she just wants a small gift.
Okay, you got it. We will definitely send a small gift. Here's what we're going to do.
We're going to put you on hold and get your mom's information, and we'll see.
send you a small gift. Should we say the mom's name?
Yeah.
Except I don't know.
What's your mom's name, Amelia?
My mom's name is Caitlin.
Okay.
And tell us how to spell it, because I know there are many ways to spell Caitlin.
Okay.
No, hold on.
Hold on. I just hold on.
All right.
Put her on hold, and we'll send her a nice old birthday present.
All of us signing it.
All right, thank you guys.
Eric and soccer is about to explode.
