Let's talk. Come on, Bobby.
Transmitting.
Welcome to Wednesday show.
Morning.
All right, we're going to start with Never Going to Get It.
We know you're not going to get it.
We're going to start with a game this morning.
This is a really hard trivia game.
You're not going to get it.
Oh, yeah, oh yeah.
Never, never, never going to get it.
Let's talk to Ashley, who is in Phoenix.
Ashley, good morning.
Good morning, Bobby Bond.
Morning studio.
Morning.
All right, we're going to give you a chance to win prizes.
I have so many prizes.
I have, I mean, it's depending on what your version of prize is.
But the question is for you, Ashley, the typical American family has six pounds of these in the house.
Six pounds of what?
That's the question.
Now, how this is going to work is we call it never going to get it because if we were just to ask you once, you would never get it.
You're never going to get it.
You're never going to get it.
But you have multiple opportunities here.
So we go to Ashley first.
she can guess anything in the whole world.
The typical American family has six pounds of these in the house.
Six pounds of what?
Ashley, now your answer, it can be as crazy.
It's going to be very difficult for you to get it.
But what do you think it is?
Like a, like a jar of change.
I'm going to give it to you.
It's pennies.
It's pennies?
Oh, I love it.
Wow.
Okay, Ashley.
I went on this whole rant on how no one ever.
She got it.
That is.
Well, that was.
That was no fun. We need to get to play.
That is a wild.
No, don't be sorry.
No, that's good. What did you have, Amy?
Oh, like underwear.
Oh, lot of underwear.
Everybody together.
Dirty clothes.
Okay.
That makes a little more sense.
Underware itself.
Yeah, it's a lot of underwear or soiled underwear.
That's a lot.
What?
Eddie?
Toilet paper rolls.
Morgan?
I had cheese.
That's pennies.
I'll take.
I'll take you.
You guys want another one?
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Let's go again.
Here we go.
No, you're not going to get it.
Never, never good a good.
All right, Ashley, see if you can go two for two.
37% of people, so a little over a third, regularly do this at the dinner table.
Now, if I were to compare it to 20 years ago, only 10% did.
So a little over a third of people now do this at the dinner table, but 20 years ago was only 10%.
So, Ashley, you've already won a prize.
So we're just, you know, playing with house money.
Maybe we can double the prize.
I don't know.
Okay.
Take a phone call.
Okay, she should take a phone call.
Stupid.
No, it's not right at all.
What a terrible.
Yeah, she's terrible.
You're bad at this game.
Just kidding, Ashley.
You're awesome.
You nailed the first one already.
That is not right, but that is a good quality game.
Oh, who's she going to go with, though?
She can double up a prize, and we got a lot of, oh, the prizes are just...
Wow.
That's a stack.
That is a stack of prizes.
Okay.
You can go with two of the four here.
Amy, Lunchbox, Eddie, or Morgan.
Which two would you like to represent you, Ashley?
Oh, gosh.
Well, I am an Eddie super fan, so I'm going to have to go with Eddie and Morgan.
Okay.
Obviously, she's not very smart.
All right, about 40% of people, Amy, do this at the dinner table now?
10%.
Just say it?
Okay, watch a show.
Okay, lunchbox?
Watch TV.
Okay, so you got two TVs.
Interesting.
Those are both wrong.
Oh, okay.
Let's go to Eddie and Morgan now.
She did pick you.
Morgan, your first.
What do you have?
I had put your elbows on the table.
Okay.
as in manners or less and less.
Yeah, because nobody's really doing manners anymore.
That's right. Manors are so passe.
Okay, Eddie.
And here's what in the world.
It's true.
I think people are trying to be a little healthier, therefore they are Googling calories.
Oh, both are interesting.
Both are wrong.
One of years ago.
I'm not going to give the answer.
Okay, so now.
Second guess.
Let's go to second guess.
Everybody write an answer down.
37% of people regularly do this at the dinner table now.
compared to only 10% 20 years ago.
Regularly do this.
So now what's going to happen is,
Ashley, you get to pick of all four.
Do any of them get it right or do they all get it wrong?
I'm going to say they all get it wrong.
That's not good, Ashley.
Got it.
Okay, man.
Got it.
Want to put a wager on that?
Yep.
You do?
How much?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm not wagering.
Yeah, don't get it.
Okay, if you miss it, you have to lick my DOA.
that I keep up here. That's disgusting.
But what do I win?
You showed me.
Yeah, you were right, dude.
You showed us all.
You really gave it to us.
No.
Okay. Everybody in?
She said nobody's going to get it.
Amy, you go.
Take out.
Like you're around the table eating something you didn't cook.
Lunchbox.
Pray with me.
Eddie.
More people pray?
I'm going to listen to music.
Morgan.
Watch a sports game.
That's the same thing as TV.
Pray with me.
TV show.
Did more people?
pray more now. Oh yes they do.
More people now than back in the day.
Hey, lunchbox, do you want to put 20 bucks up against
licking the deodorant? Do it.
Now that you're so
confident? No.
Okay. What happened, buddy?
But I thought you could read me.
Yeah. He can't, he didn't even
he didn't give me that option earlier.
But I thought you could read me and you would know that
maybe I thought I could read you, but it's hard
sometimes. Okay. So
I mean, pray and then there's another one that just
fought to my head. Talk politics.
They do that now. I'll give you both. 20 bucks
versus a lick of the
deodorant. Read him. Read him.
By either one of you. Can I get an amen?
Do you want it? Yes or no? No, I just want
to pray. I should have got my 20. Amy, you're wrong. Eddie, you're wrong. Morgan, you're wrong.
Oh. I know right. Amen.
Lunch box. It is not fray.
In the name of the father's son, holy spirit. What?
It's not pray. Is it politics?
Huh? Is it politics? It is not
politics.
The answer is eat on paper plates.
And we do that.
Like takeout?
No.
No.
No.
Okay.
So, Ashley, you already want.
So here's what we're going to do.
Here's something to give you.
We have Rocky.
Every Rocky movie on DVD.
Shut up, really?
Every one of them.
We have a Reba cookbook.
We have a game of blank slate.
We're all going to sign one of these breakfast trays that I order too many of.
This is going to be the biggest package ever.
From Amazon.
Hold on.
Have you heard about these breakfast trays at all, Ashley, that I ordered on Amazon?
They sent me way too many?
I did.
Yes, I did hear about that.
You're going to like them.
We're going to sign every one of them.
And I'm going to send a copy of my book, Bear Bones that I have a stack of behind me.
That's what I call a prize.
She nailed it.
She nailed on the first one.
So I'm going to sign, I'll make it out to you, Bear Bones, which you can still get on Amazon story of my life.
Bear Bones, I'll send you a signed copy of that too.
So, Ashley, I hope you like the prize pack that we're going to send you.
It's basically going to come like the palette that we got from that price, that size.
And stay on the phone and we'll get all your information, okay?
Thank you so much.
You're welcome. And there she is. Let's give it for Ashley.
Wow, Ashley.
Hello, Bobby Bones. My husband just had an eye-opening experience, which has led him to quit drinking for the first time in his life.
I don't drink much, but I do like to have the occasional drink.
And I do keep it a little bit of alcohol at the house. My husband now wants to clean our house of alcohol entirely.
I'm pushing back. I support his decision to quit drinking, but just because he has a problem,
doesn't mean I should have to sacrifice. So why can I have a couple things in the house?
Am I being selfish? Shouldn't he be able to resist drinking alcohol, even if it's available?
After all, it's not like you can't get alcohol anywhere at any time already.
Signed, wife of a newly non-drinker. I have a lot of thoughts on this.
First of all, good for him if you realized he had a problem. For me, not the same.
I try not to keep sugar in the house because I know I will eat at all.
I don't drink on the harder.
I've never had a drink of alcohol because I feel like I will be an alcoholic because I have a lot of addiction.
And alcoholism in my family were most of my family is dead because of it.
But I want to go dark there.
I just want to go sugar.
I just want to go sugar first.
I don't keep sugar in the house.
But I do have like a personal relationship with this story.
What I'm going to say first of all is just you need to be supportive.
And even though you feel it's ridiculous does not mean it is a net ridiculous for the both of you.
because to him he's probably trying to put himself in the best position possible to succeed.
That doesn't mean you can't hide at places that he doesn't know.
Like both things can happen here.
I would encourage you to be supportive, even if you don't think that it's going to last or he really means it or it doesn't matter.
I would encourage you to be so supportive that you just agree to do it.
I'm supporting you.
We're here.
No alcohol in the house.
Can you hide some?
Absolutely.
If that's your thing, go for it.
Put in the car.
Don't put in the car.
Put it in a car maybe like an old.
It doesn't move.
Yes, yeah.
Put it somewhere.
Put it in the garage.
You don't actually have to throw it or flush it on the toilet, but you can let him know you're being super supportive.
So my advice to you, because I do understand why you would be annoyed if you know your husband and you're like, this is going to be.
It doesn't matter.
be extremely supportive of his decision here because it's not going to take much effort from you
but that doesn't mean you have to throw away whatever wine you have you can put it somewhere else
so that's my suggestion because hopefully his eye-opening experience is something that's going to lead
him to i'm not going to say live a healthier life like with his body but live a healthier life
with his mind and maybe it was keeping him from making great decisions or being present or
i don't know but be supportive but also be supportive of yourself on the on the secret on the download
Yeah. Okay. And go sneakie, drink, you drink. If you need to.
Hey, don't get caught, though. Don't get caught though. You brush your teeth after it.
Keep a toothpush outside, too. Yeah, support him. Really, support him.
On the phone, we have Brandon. Brandon, we appreciate your calling. What's up, buddy?
Hey, man. Good morning, studio.
Morning.
So, over the weekend, my fiancee went to Nashville for her bachelor trip, and they had an Airbnb with
and when they showed up, it was somebody's house that was being lived in.
Wait, so, hmm, would I be correct in thinking that they listed somebody's house,
made the money from it, but the house was never an option?
Like, the scam was some, your wife paying for it online.
Right.
And so what happens when she gets there?
She said she walked up and knocked on the door and checking on everything and somebody
opened up the door.
and they were like, this, this ain't for for rent or anything.
We live here.
Which would be crazy, too, because that would be the first time that had happened to the person at that house.
Like, your wife must have just caught a listing that just went up.
Like, they could probably only scam one person at a time on this one.
Like, they grab a house that's already being lived in.
You go to it.
You go, I'll take it.
It's then taken off the market for Airbnb.
Unless the person's, like, they're in part of the scam.
No, I go with the first option.
Yeah.
So then what happens is your wife get the money back?
And does Airbnb not have some sort of check where they go?
Well, he said, I think this.
Oh, it wasn't even Airbnb.
No, it was.
Uh-huh.
Not familiar with that side.
Right.
Okay.
They had to find another place and they upgraded them.
Oh.
Well, I like that.
But I thought, dang.
Because Ray Mundo drove Uber for a while.
And Ray, Uber, they made you verify certain things.
Like, one, you had a car, two, you knew how to drive.
Yeah.
And I would assume, and again, this is not an Airbnb thing now.
But that Airbnb or any of these places would go, okay, you have a house and somebody is not living in that house that you claim to have.
Yeah, there's a verification process.
Well, okay, so she was good.
How long did it take her to, like, get there and then get resituated?
Because I'm sure it's a pain in the butt.
Like you travel, you fly, you get all your bags from the airport, you're ready to put your tiara on and go down to Broadway in Nashville and get hammered at Hutsies.
And then you got to wait?
Yeah, they actually drove seven hours from Florida up there.
and showed up to the rental property, apparently.
That's crazy.
And how about this?
The person that answers the door might think they're being like cased or scanned or something.
Like there could be something dangerous that happens here.
I'm sure they see the sashes and the fun stuff and they're like, oh, a bachelor party.
Unless they're really scamming.
I don't even know how to fake.
I don't even know what I would say because a lot of times with any sort of scam, we would give advice on how to avoid this.
But I'm not sure how you give, I guess my advice.
says, don't go on vacation.
Oh, that's it.
Smart. Stay home. That's really smart.
Grind. I would
assume the scammer gets paid because they list it that money
goes right to their account. Immediately? Yeah.
Yeah, because you pay up front. I'm even going to
say we're going to beep out the name of the company
because, but
it wasn't Airbnb,
and I would say use
a trusted company
with a blue check mark.
Although those are on sites. I don't have that.
But Brandon, everything turned out, okay?
Yes, they had a great time.
That's awesome.
I appreciate you sharing that with us.
It's weird.
It's scammers everywhere making money off everybody.
Yeah, it's rough out here.
Yeah, it is rough out there.
Brandon, I hope you have a great day.
Thank you for calling.
Thanks, buddy.
Tell your wife, we said hello.
All right, y'all keep.
Thank you.
All right, buddy.
It's time for the good news.
With Amy.
Tell me something good.
So shout out to Girl Scout True,
2383 from Newport Beach because they raised $5,000
selling all these cookies.
7,700 boxes.
Let me say something like Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts and Scouts.
Awesome.
Awesome.
Awesome.
Like I love it because you're, for me, I was a Cub Scout and I was looking for anywhere safe to go.
Meaning I had a group, there were adults there, there was food.
That's why I found security in church as well.
There would be food there.
People there would be structure, which I did not have.
And the fact, I love these organizations still not just having structure, but also providing
a path to greater things, discipline.
Not to sidetrack your story.
I just love them in general.
And they raised a bunch of money selling cookies.
This is to all of us that like to buy the cookies and eat the cookies.
Like every time you eat a cookie, know that you contributed to this.
I don't know that I would go with that theory because I'd want to contribute a lot.
Right.
Well, you're making a difference in literacy because what they did is they bought this book vending
machine for their school.
And you don't use money to get the books out, though.
You get tokens from teachers based on your business.
behavior. So if you get the token that you go in, you get to get the book. And so it's just the
gift that keeps on giving. Nerdie you. Fourth grade me would be all over this. It was like I did book
it where you got a personal pan pizza. I had so many personal pan pizza. I had so many pizza. Oh,
you actually read the books. I read the book. Got it. Because I got personal pan pizzas. Oh my God.
Good. I love this story in 10 different ways. That's a great job. That is what it's all about.
That was tell me something good. A win is a win. A win is a win. A win. A win is a

What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here?
We break down budgeting.
financial discipline and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts.
Too many of us were never, ever taught.
Financial education is not always about, like, I'm going to get rich.
That's great.
It's about creating an atmosphere for you to be able to take care of yourself and leave a strong financial legacy for your family.

And that's not like your story versus my story. You're going to walk up and over that dang
mountain. You're not just going to put your mind over it. Yep. Yep, exactly.
And if I can't walk up and over it, I'm going to go through it.

They'll be like, Mommy, why did you miss that?
Mindy, do you play basketball?

We spent last week on vacation.
I wanted to talk to Morgan for a minute, who's our head of digital, because Morgan, you went to Michigan for vacation?
Yeah, I did.
You thought you were going to get murdered?
Yeah, so there was a gas station that we had to make a pit stopping.
So we're doing a little road trip, and I really had to pee.
Where?
in like Lexington, Michigan.
I mean, we're in like a little lake town, right?
And so it's a small town.
And then we're driving back into Detroit because we're going to the airport.
And so we pit stop off the road.
And I'm like, walk in here.
And I, this guy behind the counter is just me and this guy in this gas station.
And he just, he's kind of creepily smiling at me.
And he goes, that's a nice smile.
I was like, okay.
Okay.
I have a theory about Morgan, guys.
I have a theory about Morgan.
Oh.
What is it?
Because the show almost gets murdered in Uber's and people like, like go to her house.
Oh, yeah.
I think she just interprets things wrong.
Because this guy says, this is a dude.
You have a nice smile.
He's a nice smile.
He's complimenting her.
He's probably a little older, so it just comes off as creepy.
A small town, because I'm looking at the pictures online.
Lexington, Michigan looks awesome.
Morgan, I think you just think everybody's going to murder you when actually they're complimenting you.
Okay.
Go ahead.
Say what you will.
But then I go into the bathroom and I'm like, oh, this is like a murder bathroom.
For sure, a murder bathroom.
Like, it's gross in there.
I come back out and I'm, I'm walking around looking for food or whatever.
And I kind of look over the little shelf and he's just staring at me.
Like just full blown watching every move that I make.
Making sure you're going to steal.
Yeah, because I'm so going to steal.
And then as I'm starting to like kind of walk out again because I'm getting freaked out, he goes, yeah.
That's a really nice smile.
Okay, two times creepy.
I'll be honest with she might have had her organs harvested if she stuck around.
Does it equal murder though?
No.
Socially awkward?
Eventually.
Yeah, a small town, niceness.
Like, hey.
Yeah, no, I do think there's a fine line between creepy.
But you said it twice.
I know.
Like one time, cool, I could, you know, I can brush it off.
But you say it twice.
You want to make sure I heard you.
And the way that he said it was so, like, deep and like.
I know.
And I'm sure that was a bit creepy for you.
It's just there's a lot of Uber's that abduct you.
I think I have a certain energy
I don't know if I'm just like
I think there's a misinterpretation happening here
But what's gonna suck is she's gonna go
I think I'm misinterpreting this person
Next thing you know
She's like they've abducted her and she's now
We never see her again
And Morgan is that the gas station?
No it looked a little bit like that though
It was on the way to Detroit
So it was a little sketchy
I will allow lunchbox to brag for a second
Or at least he says this story is true
Whenever he gets recognized
He loves to talk about it
And so on vacation you're flying
Yes and I had a stop
over in Charlotte and I was making my connection and the girl at the counter was a fan of the show
and she goes, oh wait, come over here. Come over here. I was like, what's up? She goes, look,
you're a businessman, right? I was like, no chance. Somebody said you're a businessman. She's a huge
fan. Go ahead. And she goes, well, we can't have a businessman not sitting in business class,
can we? And she moved me on to business class. Wow. I had one of those big seats.
Your wife too? Yeah. Oh, wow. She just double. That's good.
We hit us with a double sitting a business class.
So it was a 45 minute flight.
And I got to sit in one of those big chairs.
And everybody got to walk behind me sitting there going,
man, look at this guy.
He's business class.
So businessman making business deals sitting in business class.
So it was awesome.
First class or business class.
Business class.
I got to go on.
Get in first.
Yes.
Then they hand me a drink before we even take off.
Would you like some?
I don't know what they offered me.
And I was like, yeah, we'll take one of those.
My wife got a class of wine.
I got some sparkling champagne or something that they had on a tray.
I was like, I'll take that.
They said wine, sparkling champagne or orange juice.
Get rid of the orange juice, sucker.
I'm first class.
And people come on after you.
Yeah.
And I'm just sitting there drinking my drink.
Are you trying to make eye contact?
I'm letting them know how you guys doing.
I'm up here in business class.
It felt great.
For that 45 minutes, I felt like a king.
Celebrity life.
The celebrity life, it makes life easier.
And it just feels good.
That 45 minutes
Really changed a quick flight too
Like we got up
They came back
Do you want anything else to drink
They gave us a little snack
All right we got to take those
And now they took them away
Like in like 30 seconds
But
For that 45 minutes
Remember the person's name?
Her name?
So you could shot her
Oh
I should have got her name on
Yeah
Yeah
Would you recognize her
She walked in the room?
She had brown hair
Okay
Yeah
I would say
I have it for you
That's good
Your businessman
Make a business
Yeah
I'd say sixish
What?
She's probably six.
She's six feet tall?
No, no.
What do you mean?
You're saying what are she?
Oh, on a scale of the 10.
You're giving her a six.
Why would you do that?
Okay.
The story was all about teachers getting mad at parents because they send their kids to school in kindergarten still wearing diapers.
Okay, so I'm going to read you some of the story.
We'll talk about it here.
A teacher in Arkansas laced into parents who send their kids to kindergarten still wearing diapers and decried the decline of potty training.
and decried the decline of potty training
in a video that she posted on TikTok.
In this clip, which was posted,
the teacher said diapers in kindergarten,
this has been something that's been a conversation
with a fellow teacher for the past several weeks.
The amount of kids and diapers in kindergarten,
I had no idea.
The more I talk to some kindergarten friends,
and they tell me how many they have,
and then she rails off.
I know I can't be alone.
I remember when my kids went to school,
your child had to be potty trained
before you could send them to kindergarten.
The Daily Mail with the story.
Lunchbox made a big groan, so you can go first.
Yeah, the parents that are sending their kindergartener in diapers need to be investigated.
Because they're not paying attention to their kids.
They're not invested in their kids.
It's child abuse.
What?
In kindergarten, there is no chance they should be wearing diapers to school.
It's absolutely poor parenting and they should be investigated and make sure they're not abusing their children.
Okay, I can understand.
Neglecting, I guess.
If you think it's poor parenting, I can understand that.
Absolutely.
child abuse and that stuff, those words are, I believe, it's a little too harsh.
Uh-huh.
Neglect?
No.
That's a charge?
I said, we're not talking about what charges are.
Because there is no charge.
Should.
Okay.
Okay, so what if they look into it and they realize, oh, they have been actually implementing
potty training at the house and the child hasn't been able to.
There's no way.
Let's go to the basic real quick.
Just stay with the story here.
Lunchbox, you say it, that's terrible parenting.
Terrible parenting.
Be investigated.
Send the authorities.
What do they call them?
Protect this.
Yeah, yeah, protect the story. Eddie, a kindergartner, and it's not just one kid, right?
This is the story, too.
It's not just one kid who has some sort of maybe issue.
That would be a whole different story.
Sure.
More kids are showing up in diapers in kindergarten.
Eddie, go.
It's crazy that multiple kids are showing up in diapers.
Because, look, all kids, they potty train differently.
Some kids take longer than others, you know?
Like lunchbox, I remember him talking about the way he did it with his kids.
He let them just go all over the floor for, like, weeks.
That was his tactic.
Wait, what?
We didn't do that.
Go over the floor.
What do you mean?
Somebody investigate him.
No.
That is abuse.
There's this book called, oh, crap, potty training.
And the first day, they're fully naked.
They put on the floor.
Wherever, dude.
Wherever they want to.
That was his tactic.
Sometimes.
Is this the 1700s?
That's not how we did it.
Okay, go ahead.
He's naked at home, right?
Yeah.
Go ahead.
Eddie, continue on.
So kids do take different, you know, lengths or however long they need to get to get potty trained.
Whatever.
The fact that multiple kids is happening, that's crazy.
something's wrong with society.
Yes.
I think people are just not doing what they have to do.
I don't know, man.
I have four boys and they all were done before, what, they turn four.
Okay.
Three.
Amy?
Yeah, I think there's only a difference in being potty training during the day
when you're awake and aware of what's happening at that age.
Then at night, I'm sure at night they maybe need to wear something for sure,
but it is odd to me that that many kids during the day don't have the sensation and no,
I need to go to the bathroom right now.
I think odds a good word for it.
I don't have kids yet.
So let me say that before us to give the real advice and the real answer here.
What if it's just like the first few days of kindergarten period?
It doesn't matter.
No, but let me just ask a question here.
I'm asking literally the question.
Your kid's never gone to school.
And they're nervous?
Yeah, they're very scared and nervous.
And it's the first few days of kindergarten.
And they don't really wear diapers all the time as a five-year-old.
And the parents just like, I'm really nervous that they may go.
And I don't want them to be embarrassed.
Like, could that be a thing?
Because I don't know that this is happening three months from now or six months from now.
It's just the first day of school, first and second day of school.
I'm asking the question.
Could that be a thing?
Possibly.
I mean, it is nice of them to send them with diapers and not diapers.
Five seems old for diapers.
It is.
Because they take naps in kindergarten?
No.
Not anymore.
Well, because if they do.
I did.
That was recent.
Those are awesome.
Yeah.
Because then you may, yeah, to their, like, embarrassment, like, they might,
wet their pants at some point and the parents might not, you know, want their kid to have to be
picked on it. And I guess if they're aware, is it because the teachers don't want to have to worry
about changing it? Yes. Correct. My, then they're going to have to send the kid home.
Right. If they don't. My only reason I ask that question is that it could just be a early
safety net that may never get used. And if this teacher still saying this happens in three, six months,
then yes, we should just cancel society as a whole.
Totally. Because it's weird, man.
Yes, five seems, but
I could at least understand a little more
if it's more parents going,
man, we've had the occasional issue.
And I just want to make sure we're all cool.
Yeah.
So that's all I'm saying before we judge harsh lands,
the other words abuse.
I'm not talking to you.
I'm not talking.
We're all on the same side, though.
I do think it's odd, but it is something to look at it.
If it's happening to multiple kids,
then it may not be, like, there could be just something going on.
Or the development of older.
diaper type things.
I wish I had one that was like fit me.
I'd wear one right here.
I never go to the bat.
No, it was like puffy.
Oh, like tight fitting?
Well, it's not puffy until you do it in there.
Yeah, once you go in there,
you know what I'm going to?
I'll go a whole day and never leave this desk and never go to the bathroom.
You'd be like that astronaut
that drove to Florida to.
Beat up the wife or something.
Yeah, she's his boyfriend and she
used a diaper. Anyway, go society.
Jimmy's pile of stories.
Why is it so cheap to throw a party at a haunted house?
Is this a joke?
Do you think it's corny time?
What did you say?
Pile.
I thought we were doing a phone. Sorry.
I was like, okay, starting with a joke.
I was like, I was thinking, well, what if everybody's dead?
I don't know.
Okay.
Maybe you do it in December?
All right.
Ray, put this on, leave this on the podcast so people can know what happens here.
All right.
Here's Amy's pile of stories.
A new drink trend is going viral and it's called Gator Wine.
Gator wine.
Is it water from a Florida swamp that has a bunch of nutrients?
That's weird.
Good guess.
But no, TikTok's latest trend is cheap red wine mixed with glacier freeze Gatorade.
Okay.
Gator wine.
Oh, okay.
I don't drink wine.
Even the smell of wine is weird to me.
Like it doesn't smell like it would be good.
I can understand that acquired taste.
But like really overly flavored Gatorade makes anything taste pretty good.
It's a mix.
Most people that tried it there are like, oh, I'm so going to hate this.
This is going to be disgusting.
And they were prepared to not like it.
And then they're like, shoot, I kind of like it.
Like Glacier Gatorade, I know it.
It's so sweet to me.
I don't like it by itself.
But you could probably mix it with anything and you're like, not so bad.
Is that the light blue one?
I feel like Glacier is light blue.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So cheap wine and Gator.
Gatorade.
Cheap red wine.
Cheap red wine and Gatorade.
Glacier Freeze Gatorade.
Okay.
Okay, so all plastic surgery comes with risks, but according to new research, one procedure in
particular has a 92% likelihood of complications.
Oh, let me, is it one that I'm familiar with?
I think we've talked about it on the show before.
Okay, okay, okay.
Were they Brazilian butt lift?
I will tell you that's in the top five, but it's not number one.
And by top five, I mean top five.
Argentinian butt lift.
Dangerous.
complications.
Mexican butt lift.
I'm going all the countries.
That one sounds dangerous.
Yeah, they get worse.
What is it?
Eye color change surgery.
Oh, yeah.
That's a,
that's like a leg breaking
to make you taller surgery.
It's like,
like, go to therapy instead.
But like, if you go in for that
and does the surgeon have to say to you,
hey, FYI,
there's a 92% chance
that we're going to have complications?
I'm going to bet you,
and I don't know this for a fact.
I'm going to bet you surgeons
that do this surgery
are probably just glad they're
They're getting paid to do something.
Because I can't imagine any reputable.
Don't know this for sure.
Eye surgeon is going to go like, yeah, come on in.
Half off today on eye color changes.
That's not something they probably recommend.
There's an 8% chance you'll be okay.
That's not good.
To complete the top five most dangerous cosmetic surgeries,
we talked about eye color chain surgery.
Brazilian butt lift is on there.
Thigh lift.
A thigh lift.
Yeah, body lift is on here, which what is?
That's the whole thing?
Make it taller.
And then injectable fillers at number five.
So according to the Nashville Business Journal,
Shanaya Twain is partnering with Gavin de Graal
to rebrand his Nashville underground bar on Lower Broadway.
You know the difference?
Say this.
A lot of these artists that have bars in Nashville,
it's not really their bar.
They just license their name.
Yeah.
Like Gavin DeGroo actually owns a bar.
Oh, he does?
Yeah, he has forever.
Wow.
Oh.
Yeah, he actually owns the bar.
That's cool.
Yeah, yeah.
So I guess now they're rebranding it like.
Shenia-Degra.
You can't get enough.
Shania D'Raw.
Shania had a girl.
So what is it doing?
Gavin Twain.
What's the deal?
Yours or mine?
Yours?
Oh.
It's a five-star bar.
It opened back in 2008.
What's a five-star bar mean?
I would say that about it.
Five-story?
Story.
Oh, I think he said story.
I thought he said story.
Now she's doing gone with the wind.
It's a five-story bar that opened back in 2018, and it's morphed into more of a nightclub over the years.
There's no details for now, so we have to stay tuned.
But Shania Twain is going to be a part of the rebrand.
Consider me tuned.
I'll keep you posted.
I'm Amy. That's my pile.
That was Amy's pile of stories.
It's time for the good news.
With Bobby.
Tell me something good.
This guy named Rick and Iowa learned that students at his former school district had over 21,000 an unpaid lunch debt.
So he's like, I'm going to go and help out.
So he messages the superintendent and he does a community challenge.
And he said, hey, every donation that's made, I will match it.
So they need a 21,000.
What's half of 21,000?
How'd you go?
Oh, half of 21,000 is 1150.
No.
10.
10.
1050.
It's tough.
I know.
I was off.
You know what's mean of me?
It's mean of me to go to you for that because you are dyslexia.
I have a dysmorphia.
No, not dysmorphia.
See?
One of those.
You got dis something.
So they made 10,500 bucks from the community.
He matched that 10,500.
and 21,000 to make sure that all the students' lunch debt could be paid off.
That's awesome.
Which is, the guy didn't have to do that.
He just saw it and was inspired.
So we wanted to shout him out.
Rick Vernon, that's great.
That's dangerous, though, because what if they did 50,000?
I think it was to reach the point of all the...
I don't think they're doing surplus.
I'm like, man, you can get really screwed to that.
Yeah, yeah.
I don't even...
Oh, I'm going to match everything.
Oh, wait a minute.
That's from WKYT.
That's what it's all about.
That was tell me something good.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.

Hi, everyone. I'm Cheryl Stray, author of Wild and Tiny Beautiful Things.
I'm excited to share that I have a new podcast called Mind Over Mountain. In each episode,
I interview athletes, adventurers, and adrenaline seekers to discuss the inner landscapes and life
experiences that informed and inspired their extraordinary feats. I also bring a bit of
of advice into the mix, so we too can better understand how to face our own seemingly insurmountable
challenges. Do you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to pull out what you already have inside.
We're coming into this world, fighting for our lives. All I'm going to do is pull out what you

Look, money is something we all deal with, but financial literacy is what helps turn income into real wealth.
On each episode of the podcast, Earn Your Leisure, we break down the conversations you need to understand money, investing, and entrepreneurship.
From stocks and real estate to credit, business, and generational wealth, we translate complex financial topics into real conversations.
everyone can understand.
Because the truth is, most people will never

But once you understand the system,
you can start to build within it.
That means ownership, smarter investing,

Here's a voicemail from last night.
Morning Studio.
I just went back and listened to the post show where you guys were talking about the palette
and all the drama that happened there.
And it got me thinking.
I know you guys invested money in a few other things.
Specifically, I was really curious about those Loricana cars.
I know you opened a few on air and then I didn't hear how they went.
I am wondering because I have a pack and I'm wondering if it's worth opening up or is it worth saving for later.
So we invested in a bunch stuff about a year and a half or so ago.
I still don't feel like it's time to sell any of it back.
but we can readdress it on the podcast, maybe today, post show.
Everything that we've invested in.
I don't feel like it's time to sell stuff back yet.
Has it been enough time?
Except for the palette, which the thing's...
No, no money back from that one.
Give me Brittany, number one, Ray.
How do you know how big a chili pepper is?
Give it away, give it away, give it away now.
No way.
Okay, that's it.
Have a good day.
Love the show.
That's a great one because that is a 90s reference to the...
Do you know, get it?
No.
The red hot chili peppers?
Yeah, but we'll be.
But like a way of scale.
How much is it way?
Give it away.
Give it away.
Okay, got it.
That's one of my favorite ones ever.
Let's go to Amy in the morning, corny.
The morning corny.
Why can't dinosaurs clap their hands?
Why?
Because they're extinct.
That is not funny.
Oh, I was trying to figure out what extinct means.
She goes because they're all dead.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So, obviously they can't.
I mean, you can do some really dark.
stuff there. That's actually funny.
Thanks, guys. Yeah. That's actually
funny. I don't know why anything says it's not funny
because if they weren't extinct, we wouldn't be alive, so
it's good. They're extinct. No, but
just close it up.
That was
the morning corny.
I'd like to shout out this kid, this teenager
went on a hunger strike until his mom bought him an iPhone.
Hilarious.
You got to get him the iPhone. You do what you got
to do. Kid.
What?
You do what you got to do, kid.
What?
No, he'll eventually eat.
I think he gets a phone.
Yeah, you got to give him the phone.
She gave.
That's commitment.
Yeah, yeah, it's a, you shouldn't do that.
But, I mean, it's like, as far as originality goes, which is what I give the points for,
a teen boy goes on hunger strike until his mom buys him an iPhone.
But how long would you hold out as a parent?
Because, I mean, I'd hold out pretty good, like two weeks maybe.
So I think of it as the kid.
You're thinking of it as the parent.
Always.
Your kid said, I am not going to eat until I get an iPhone, and you're watching your kid not eat.
Yep.
And I'm like, good luck.
Okay.
At first, that's what you are.
Oh, man.
But when do you start to consider?
Maybe I just, for the health of the kid, when do I, maybe you have to go.
Okay.
First, I said two weeks.
Maybe that's bad because he'll die.
No.
Two weeks?
No, he needs water.
They need water.
Just water, but you can.
Yeah.
Well, maybe I would do two weeks.
They can live two weeks without food.
They're going to eventually eat.
But I'm talking about the parent holdout.
That holdout's got to be.
I think you hold out the whole time because you know what?
What if the kid dies?
That's their fault.
You can be, yeah, they're a teenager.
But as parents, I'm going to ask you three.
You provided them with food.
Think about this.
This is, I'm your kid in this moment.
I'm not eating until you get me an iPhone.
Day one, day two, day three.
I haven't eaten anything.
You're watching too.
I'm not drinking water, but I'm not eating.
At what point do you have to start to reconsider?
Hospitalization.
Okay.
If they get hospitalized.
they will get food, I will never give in.
Wait, and hold on.
But if they go to the hospital, do you get a phone?
You said, they don't get a phone, but that's what they're going to start eating.
And that's what I'm saying.
Hospitalization, you're like, hey, buddy, you love.
So you would check them in mandatory, like, facility.
Yeah.
I like that.
Eddie?
I think I'm going to have to go end of the week.
You can't give in after a week.
I'd say end of the week.
Say he says it on a Monday.
If it's Sunday and he hasn't eaten yet.
So then you show if you commit to something, you really can't achieve your dreams.
You did it.
Because that's a good parenting tip, too.
Guess what?
Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
We got two different ones here.
I like them both.
If I was Eddie's kids because he was when his kids to have social media until they're like, I don't know, 25 or something, then I would just be like, I'm not eating until you give me social.
Exactly.
If they don't eat for a week, Eddie would let them.
And you know what?
I applaud them.
Do you know how hard it is and I eat for a week?
That's a very hard.
There's no chance.
I hate telling you, I think they'd be sneaking stuff.
No, no.
But that's the role.
In this hypothetical, you can't sneak.
We're making the story up, so we need to make up the hypotheticals.
Okay, yeah.
So I think both of those are hilarious and I co-sign on both.
Because for different reasons, because yes, if they're like, I'm not going to eat.
And then they don't eat for a week.
You're like, dang kid, I didn't agree with you at first.
And I thought there's no way.
But if you're really going to put this much time effort and it's impressive.
It's impressive.
Yeah.
No, I'm going to make all their favorite meals.
Oh, that's a great strategy too.
Yes.
And I'm going to put some chocolate cake on the counter.
You guys are three for three and beautiful strategies.
I don't even know which one I like the best.
There's no way I'm getting them an iPhone
Or could you buy the iPhone
Then they eat, take the iPhone away
Then they just
But then they've already spent the money on the iPhone
And then they just do it
It's never a single. I went with the hospitalization.
Got it. I'm going to say it
I think you're all three right.
And that's why there's not a single
correct way to parent
Because all three of those
I would accept
The hospitalization sucks
But life's tough, right?
Yeah.
And you don't want to
want to cave and get your kid a phone, but you do want to show your kid that if you work hard
regardless of what people say at times, you can overcome obstacles. Correct. And then Amy,
that's hilarious. You just put all their food in front of them. Yes. If you're patient, they will
eat. It sounds like pill to dream. If you're patient, they will eat. But they may not.
By the way, the record, not record, but a human can go about 30 to 40 days without eating.
Whoa, that's crazy. There are certain people who I see on TikTok who do like,
But famous people, like, that I know.
Like Dana White, for example, I think did like a two week fast.
Oh, I thought his was 48 hours.
No.
I can do 48 hours stand on my head like prison.
Yeah, that's what I thought he did.
Because I have IBS, like bad.
So there are times where I just go, I'm only going to drink water because my stomach is so bad.
You're like, if you get a colonoscopy, you're prepping for it for a day, then you don't eat the next day that you get it.
Like, because you're not hungry.
But like Gandhi, right?
He went along the time.
But that's a real hunger strike.
Well, Jesus.
40 days.
40 nights.
The prank I like to do on the colonoscopy is I like to go get one but not fast.
It just show it full.
Stop.
No.
Why would you do that?
Just a hilarious bit.
I think that's...
Can you do that?
No, God, no.
The UFC president, Dana White, did not eat for 86 hours.
Okay.
So if you start 24, 48, 72.
Goodness.
Almost four days.
Oh.
And shared dramatic before and after benefits.
He said, I just got done fasting for 86 hours.
I felt like a superhero.
I feel incredible and I want to tell you how I did it.
I mean, he looked like a different person.
He really did.
No, but he does like...
Oh, man.
But do you have any energy?
But he does look a different person.
It's not like he went in as a bold white dude and came out an Asian.
Not like that.
His body, though, like he lost a long way.
He definitely is...
But a lot of your water weight goes...
But yeah, you'd have to not be able to move.
No.
You have no energy.
The energy thing is a thing.
He just be like, uh, lethargic.
What?
You see lethargic.
What?
Isn't that the word?
Say it again.
Lajard it.
Let's that the word.
One more time.
La Garthic.
La Garthic?
You had it.
What is it?
Go ahead.
Letharthic.
Laarthic.
Lgarth.
Lagerith.
Lagerith.
No?
How do you say?
What is that word?
One shot only with cash on the line.
Oh, he's going to nail it.
One shot only with cash on the line.
Go.
Lharthic.
That's not it.
No cash.
Larkarthic.
Larkarthic.
Legarthic.
Like, you have to be leguracy?
No?
You have to be lazy.
Like, you can't, you don't have energy.
Well, no, lazy is not the same, though.
What you're thinking of is lethargic.
Oh, lethargic.
Yes.
And.
Lotharthic.
Lethargic.
Lethargic.
Yes.
But I think that a bit of the lethargency,
I can't even say it, right, goes away after a while.
I think you're hungry.
Yeah, it's cycles.
When I don't eat, I get a headache.
Yep.
But the headache will go away.
No, no, until I eat.
No, but you just have it not eight.
It doesn't matter.
And that is the end of the first half of the podcast.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care which I'm saying.
Yep, that's me.
