We felt like it was going to be on a Friday? is he putting out a record Friday or a new song or what? Albums in June? Well, as far as we know, Luke Combs will be in on Friday, which is cool. And Chris Jansen's going to be on Monday.

He does have an album coming out Friday. But I just, I'm already a little cringy about the Chris Jansen thing. Not because of Chris at all. Love him. Because Lunchbox has created a beef with Chris Jansen for the sole purpose of making money off of it, which is kind of what happened. And so I know we're going to,

gonna have to address it when he comes in. It would be fine radio, maybe even good radio. But that doesn't mean I don't feel cringy about it. And I'm just like, oh, it's a, it almost feels like when lunchbox had the picture of. Oh, come on. That wasn't. The picture of what? Yeah.

There was a country artist eating at a restaurant. Oh, gosh. Oh, I was thinking of the guy. I'm talking about the guy walking with his wife. Oh, that picture. Yeah. Lauren Elena. Oh, yeah.

Oh, yeah. That was terrible. That was bad. What if we listed as a bit? Oh, Dirk's Bentley, the metal thing. Mike, let's work on this. Oh, gosh. Lunchbox top 10 cringiest moments.

With artists. That's a heck of a, that's a funny bit, though. But it's all taking advantage of artists. Yeah, trying to make money off them. Not just that. The time he yelled at what, Emmett Smith in the hallway. Oh, Gwen Stefani. Oh, he said, don't touch me.

Yeah. So that, and it's actually pretty funny. We're not taking shots at you. It's just you've done it all and it's funny. But you say I started this. beef with Chris Jansen for money. I didn't start it for money. All I did was say it because of what happened. No, no. You, first of all, you want to take your kids to an event where there are no kids.

To eat for free. Five people to an industry event where they were just like, if it's mostly just you. All in was what it said. It's the name of the album title. That's why it was on there. It wasn't all in for the event. It said, come get all in with Chris Jansen. That means everybody can come to see Chris Jansen. Well, anyway, I was looking at notes and I feel a little cringy about that. and it's going to be a thing. We do have to bring it up.

And it'll probably be hilarious. Because Crengey doesn't always equal bad. Like, sometimes it turns out pretty funny and you just go, oh, that was uncomfortable. But yeah, Jansen will be in Monday. And lunch is going to take money from him. I mean, on Twitter he offered it to you. I know, but I mean. It depends on what he is offering.

What do you mean? What if he offers 10 bucks? Not good enough. For what? To end the beef. Like a $10? I mean, he doesn't have a beef with you. I know, but if he wants the boycott to end, then he will give me more than $10.

There's no boycott. He probably doesn't even care if, like, lunchbox's the boycott. Like, you're not listening to his music? Not listening to his music. We're not playing it. That's not a thing. No, no, no, no. We're playing it.

We're not, we're not acting different toward it than we would in the other song or album. You're not going to talk about the new album? Yes, we are. We've already mentioned it like five times just now. All in. Yeah, he's going to be on the show. Monday performing. Just saying that anything. No, no, he didn't. He didn't attack your family. All right. Will Smith, Bright 2 at Netflix. Do anybody watch Bright One where it's like him and the alien cop or whatever? No. Monster cop. Well, is he a monster or alien?

Like a lizard? That sounds nothing I want to watch. It got pretty good viewership numbers, semi-poor reviews. but they're saying they're canceling Will Smith's Bright 2, but they say it's unrelated to the slap. That's from Esquire. The series was to begin shooting in three weeks,

but production is now been pushed back. The delay is, they say, Bloomberg says the delay is related to Smith's Oscars controversy. Let me just say this about that. Yes, that's a douchebag move, but he shouldn't have movies canceled. He didn't kidnap somebody or kill somebody or still. Yes, douchebag move.

And we like him. Slightly less, but we've all done dumb things in the heat of the moment. But you don't cancel... It's going a little too far now. Yeah. To cancel things and to keep other people from getting paid for their jobs? Yes, Eddie, go ahead. Well, no, I just now thinking about it, like, I never heard of the lizard movie,

so maybe it is that a movie's not that good. Exactly. Well, the movie... Mike, will you review it? Because Mike, I remember it came out on Netflix. It wasn't very good, but it was a pretty big streamer for Netflix, so it was good to get the sequel, and now it's canceled. Or at least heavily.

delayed. They don't need the promo because Netflix isn't promo stuff really. No, they really don't. They don't have to. They promote it on their own thing. Yeah, they promo their inside their own. Yeah. So, Megan Fox confirms that she and Machine on Kelly drink each other's blood, which again, this is just what you say if you want clicks and headlines, and they're not even the first ones to admit

or say this, even if it's not true. Billy Bob Thornton, Angelina Jolie used to have blood from each other around their necks. But they've realized when they say this, people write stories about it. And they love when stories written. about her. Yeah, it's the attention, huh? Megan Fox confirmed that she and Machine and Kelly do drink each other's blood. She says it's for ritual purposes. Like, they did the night they got engaged. The blood shed is controlled, but he's a little

more haphazard with it, she says. Like controlled? From the glamour UK. What? What is controlled me? I don't know. I think your spouse would drink your blood? No. Why? Why would they need to? For ritual purposes. We're good. We're ritualed out. We did our ritual, get married. We're good. If blood tastes like Kool-Aid, I wouldn't have a problem drinking it, but blood's just gross. Yeah, blood just like... It doesn't taste good.

Like... It's like a metal tasting. Yeah. But if it tasted like, you know, black cherry... If it tasted like pee, I'd be up... Wait, wait. Wait, what? Say that long?

Let's see. 37% of people no longer think that owning a car or home is part of the American dream. Instead, people are not focusing on helping their businesses thrive through sacrifice, risk-taking, and hard work. Yeah. And I would... I think it's a shift in not just what you can own. but what you can build. Yeah.

And I don't think it's any better or worse because back before our day, it was the American Dream is having a home that you can own a place, a piece of land. Now it's, the American Dream is if you work hard and you spend time and invest in this project, eventually you can have more than a home. You can take care of your family and people around.

And so the American Dream actually has gotten bigger. It's that if I put in work and if I invest in my thoughts and I focus and continue, to pursue that. It can be bigger than one little piece of land and just affect four to six to seven people. It can affect way more than that. Them, me, generations. So the American dream has gotten bigger. It's not dead, but according to a third of small business owners, it needs to change, and they're all like, you can build something bigger and better. That's from SWNS Digital. I'm a big believer in the American dream, though, in that you can come from wherever and do

whatever. It doesn't mean it's equally as easy or equally as hard for everyone. I think that, you know, everyone starts at their little place inside of their little hole. Some people's holes are deeper than others. I think I came from a pretty deep hole. Not the deepest hole, but a pretty deep hole. And I think I've had to dig my way out of that hole and climb out a little farther than most folks to get where I am, not all, but most. But I think once you climb out and you get to even, the great thing about that is you're so much stronger than the people. who only had to dig a little bit. And so that is an asset that you have that they don't.

That you've been able to fight more adversity. You've been able to accomplish more goals. You have more confidence. You've kind of been through all the S. So when it hit you again, you're not that troubled by it. So the deeper, the hole, just to get to even, not the same. But once you get to even, and you're starting from way down low, you're so much stronger than everybody else.

And so, you know, I've come to appreciate that. I used to be very resentful about that. You know, on and on. I go through the story, but rather not. But it was like, I didn't have this. I didn't have parents. I didn't have money. La, la, la.

But now, here I am. When I got even, and I'm looking around, everybody's even in the same spot, we'd all climb down our holes. We're starting in the world. I'm like, oh, I'm going to dominate you guys because I've come through some crap. I've driven through 84 storms,

and this little patch of rain is nothing. And so, you know, the American dream man lives on. It's different than the news tells you. You can't just go, well, I come from here and I'm going to make it. No, it's, you know, what's your environment? What do you have? Who do you have around you?

And, all right, let me get back to even and go from there. Some people start above even. Some people start, they're already on a hill. There is no hole. There is no hole. But again, do they even appreciate the same way that someone who comes from deeper in the hole appreciates? I am not envious of kids who are born rich in any way, because they don't understand anything other than being rich.

Now, do they have some of the resources that make life at times a little easier on things that really matter like health? That's something you can't buy. Sure, they have access to better doctors, stuff like that. But I would rather be Oprah than I would be Prince Charles because I think your life and your understanding of life is completely different. I think you have the, you're armed with empathy as well. If you don't come from a situation where there can be empathy

where you have to learn it, you will never have it because it's not something that is just given to somebody. You don't have empathy unless you experience crap. You can have sympathy. Anybody can have sympathy. But empathy, that's the weapon right there. You can have empathy. You had to earn empathy.

So, yeah, I'm a big believer in the American dream, but I'm not a big believer that everybody has an equal chance at it. So anyway, thanks for coming to my TED Talk. We'll see you guys tomorrow. If you, like, people listening, they want to start a business. How do you start? Or, like, say you know nothing about business. You know nothing about how to get money. You know nothing about how to hire people. Like, are there people you can go to say, hey, can you help me start my business? or what, because like I wouldn't know how to start.

Well, the great thing is, and you may laugh when I say this, but there are books and there's YouTube. And what I mean is, sure, you can go to people, but they're going to charge you unless they're a close friend who's going to mentor and help you. But for the most part, if you're going to go to a business coach or something, they are going to charge you for their time because that's their job and people should be compensated

for the work they put in. Yeah. But there are so many books that can actually get you started on building your foundation before you start to build that business out. So that's where I would start. Okay, that's cool. Secondly, it's most people, and I've had to learn this very, very late, don't know that borrowing money isn't a bad thing.

And so sometimes you've got to borrow money to make money. I've always been so scared of debt because we were really poor and we were always in debt in every part of our life. And so to me it was such a bad word because I didn't want it to owe it. I owed, and I'm so embarrassed of having to owe people things because people paid for my meals growing up. There's a lot of shame that sits in me from how I was treated when I was a kid.

People were great to me at times, and I don't mean, but shame that I had to accept that. And as a kid, I was so shameful of it. And so I was always way, way, way anti-debt. I don't want to owe anybody anything for any reason whatsoever. Still am, still am. but debt can be a good thing when you are

and sometimes that's what you have to do to start a business. You have to, because you have to get money. You have to get money. And how do you get money? If there is no money, you have to borrow money

and sometimes you've got to put things up as collateral for that money. You have to have a plan to show the person who's going to loan you the money. A, B, C, D, FG, this is how we're getting A to G. Collateral, what do you put?

Like your house? Sure. House, car, kids. Oh, you can put your kids on that? You can't. You can't. But it is... Take all of them!

It is... It is a risk, but it's supposed to be. You know, you don't get through life, just working hard. Yeah. You get through life working hard and taking calculated strategic risks. And with a risk comes a lot of failure, and you just try to not do that as much as you can. You try to not fail as much as possible, but you're going to. But that's it. Books. You too.

you can have to borrow money and find other like-minded people that for free will talk with you about what they've been through in the bad way. Anybody can talk about the good stuff but find somebody that can talk with you about the hard things they went through

especially as a new, like running a new business. Eddie, you're starting a business? No, I just always wondered like how do you... Talko truck! I do want to start a taco truck. I was getting my haircut and some guy walks in and he's like, hey, I'm a business consultant.

Who's the owner of this place? Right, and you know what? They're going to charge money but that's their job. but they could probably really help, right? If it's a good one, it's not a, it's not a worthless job. It's actually a very, very worthwhile person to talk to if you can afford it, but some people can't afford that, or that's an investment you make into a business coach.

But there's a lot of great books. There's a lot of great things on YouTube to watch. What would you say to do? My first suggestion was YouTube, but then also, yes, if you can find a mentor in that space or just a business that, like if you have a friend that started a business and they're willing to talk to you for free, like let's say you want to open a restaurant and you have a friend of a friend

that hey you know what he owns this restaurant can you put me in touch with him? Oh, I'd love to talk with you because a lot of people will talk with you and there's also community classes that they do allow you that they have you sign up for like if you look on the internet they have classes like hey you're trying to start a business

in this county the county host website that's a good piece of advice too that one is yeah A friend of a friend's tough because you may not have a friend of a friend Right, you might not, but the county will have that or the city or whatever. And then also... Have you ever taken one of those classes? Yeah.

Yeah. And then you... Hold on. Yes. I don't know if I believe them. I can't tell. This is breaking news. Ray, hit me with that.

How do you think I knew about this? Breaking news! How do you think I knew about this stuff, guys? You went to a class to learn about business, and I think that's great. But how can you start such bad business advice all the time? What? I get bad business advice? Well, you have crazy ideas. And then they had...

In that class, they have mentors that they hook you up with. I mean, the class is amazing. Yeah. And I'm not saying anything about that. I'm shocked you went to one. Yeah. To learn for what business? I can't say.

The DVDs? Okay. It's always can't say. No. It was something that my wife and I looked at doing. And then we... Only fans? No, not only fans.

But that would make some money on that. But then we... She got pregnant with our third child, so we had to put it on hold. So if we don't want to say, because if someone comes in and takes it, we don't want. What kind of business? Service. Human service. Could you take this on Shark Tank?

Human beings doing stuff. I don't think we could take it on Shark Tank because it exists, but we would do a better job at it. Oh, interesting. Why don't you still do it now? Well, now. What do you need? Well, we need money. We're going to need money.

gonna need a space How much money you need? What are you doing in this space? Much space you need? Helping your children. Are you opening a daycare? No. A school?

No, not a school. A school of care? No. A library. No, a library is free. No. No. We got to fall in for this.

He does this to us all the time. He sounds serious. No, no. He does this to us all the time. I can't. I thought about doing an indoor soccer facility, but it costs about $3 million to open if you get to land for a certain price. And land prices have gone, whew. Well.

So it's just really expensive and it's hard. How come you didn't prep the fact that you went to a business class? He doesn't want people to know. That was real life. That's great. Okay, I'll prep it tomorrow. No, we already heard it. We just did it.

It's free. It's free. It's absolutely free. Yeah, because they want you to. It stimulates the economy. If you start a business, it brings money to them. Tax dollars. They get, you know.

Got it got it. But they didn't see you. They didn't know what it was like. You don't have your face on. You know you'd have your face on. There's no chance you wouldn't have your face on. Yeah, but there was people. He had.

She's like, yeah, but we're there every day. I'm like, I know. But I think she just is like change of pace, you know. So staycation at the water park. Yeah, sound waves. Did we send you there? Oh, I went there with my kids. You gave me a gift card for it.

We're like, this is just, this is the vacation that we get to just have quiet and peace, and we get to talk to each other. So, yeah, why not just do it downtown Nashville. Okay. Right. There you go.

I think lunchbox just said, he did a big dramatic finger point. I don't know why you feel bad for him. Was that your sales pitch? No, it's not a sales pitch. It's just I'm just telling you. It's okay. I'm not even going to... I mean, I think there's probably something here.

but you have to drive 30 minutes. It'd be a little risky for sure here, but it's definitely a niche, and that's what it's all about, finding a niche, and then fulfilling that niche. Do you see upscale in that? Yeah. Yeah?

I mean, that's a... Well, Lunchbox's his wife will have to put the upscale touch. Well, that's a... Well, yeah. It's your definition of upscale because you definitely don't want to make it like the bar at the Renaissance Hotel I mean that's the thing

but sounds right yeah anyway we don't talk about it anymore I definitely am not laughing like Amy did that's not bad I wasn't it oh it wasn't bad I mean you thought it was Chris Rock up there goodness gracious I just wasn't expecting it why for him this makes sense it does

They were based in Austin, and I met the girl, and I saw her concept, and I thought it was amazing, and I said, would you consider franchising?

And I was her first franchisee. So I paid her for the rights. Did parties and everything. But then make sure you handle, like, DBA, like doing business as. Like, there was another cupcake bar in North Carolina, so then I had to change my name a little because they were going to sue me, and it was this whole thing. And then make sure to handle F.E. F, everybody who don't believe in you.

But we played it kind of broken out acoustic. And what's funny is, like I looked at Twitter a minute ago, and Coach Musa is still tweeting about Fannie Pack. He is?
