Here's your host, Bobby Bones. Man, just like gas is so excited.
Starting point is 00:02:21 Did you ride your bike today? Yeah. Gas sucks. It's brutal, man. Yeah, I'm just dealing with like a... Yeah, I feel bad for those people when I drive my bike past the gas pump and they're sitting there pumping their gas. I'm like, gosh, you can be pumping your legs. Even like for the mower.
Starting point is 00:02:36 Like, geez, man. One gallon, like, it's almost $5. Okay, so, there's a woman who's sexually attracted to planes and she wants to marry a toy Boeing. I always think these people are just looking for attention. Yeah. A German woman who's in love with planes and insists that she wants to marry,
Starting point is 00:02:53 Boeing 737 as a toy wants to marry it. You know what, have that it, baby. Whatever you want. It won't be illegally recognized by anybody. You know what, marry to your little heart's content. you know how people say winning the lottery can ruin you a man in North Carolina won a $10 million dollar lottery prize in 2017 but now he's been sentenced to life in prison for shooting and killing his girlfriend
Starting point is 00:03:14 whoa he went 10 million bucks and still murdered somebody man what an idiot so what that tells you is money okay one person no I'm not saying the lottery made him do it I'm saying the lottery doesn't fix everything just because you have a bunch of money it doesn't eh yeah you're right doesn't fix everything but it fixed most things you still have all the normal things happening to you. If you're angry, you do angry things. Money just doesn't go, we have all this money, so nothing matters anymore.
Starting point is 00:03:40 Yeah, one guy. One guy I've messed up. Well, and there's a lot. I don't think it's a majority, but it is a significant amount of people who have had bad things happen to them because of the lottery. Well, I guarantee you $100 million. We'll find out if it changed me. It's going to change my hat soon.
Starting point is 00:03:53 I don't think we'll find out. Honestly, I don't think we'll find out. Do you ever think in like a different life, like if we're on these parallel universes, is that one version of you has won the lottery somewhere? I don't even know what you just said. Because you start talking about parallel universe? I don't know what that means. Like there is no parallel.
Starting point is 00:04:10 This is the universe. Right. This is yours, yes. There could be other ones. But if there's other universes happening with all of us, we've made different decisions, do you ever think there's a version of you out there that's won the lottery? Or do you ever picture in your head like...
Starting point is 00:04:23 So you think there's another one of me living on a different planet? No, I don't think there is. But I'm saying if there are such things as like a parallel universe, can you see that there's a version of you that's or what if you're in a simulation and you've paid for this experience that you're having because it's a pretty good one even though you say it's not and you haven't won the lottery
Starting point is 00:04:41 but it's not in the package you buy it what in the world are you talking about bones I think you're hurting his head like what are you talking about a simulation how some people think that we're living in a simulation who what idiots think we're living in a simulation Elon Musk does
Starting point is 00:04:57 he's what he's an idiot idiot is he though Really? He thinks... You should watch a YouTube videos and I'm talking about that. No, I don't want to be bored. Like, you talking about it makes me think you're a psycho. Like, I'm like, that is just so dumb.
Starting point is 00:05:11 Or maybe I just think too shallow. Whatever. I'm good with being shallow then. Because I don't want to think that I paid for a package. And that's how I got... Well, this is me just creating a scenario, meaning you paid for a package to go and go through the simulation. And you're like, well, I like the simulation where I have a few kids and healthy marriage and have a fun job.
Starting point is 00:05:29 And just do what that life would be like. I think I would have picked the package where I was on real world and what if that was one of the options and maybe you took that out of a different time you bought that package a different time I don't remember buying a package right that's the point though and this could all be over
Starting point is 00:05:42 and this is the kind of stuff you think about this is why you're weird and this is why you don't sleep at night and what do you think about though normally if it's like just nothing nothing I bet there's nothing in that nothing
Starting point is 00:05:52 I'm not saying that what I think about any better I'm just asking like I don't waste my time thinking about parallel universe a package deal that I bought before I was born but that's just like a scenario I made up. Package deal.
Starting point is 00:06:03 Like, not before you were born. Once I was born, I bought it? How could you help them understand it? I don't watch Stranger Things. You ever seen Ready Player 1?
Starting point is 00:06:13 It's a good movie. It's awesome. Yeah, really good. So they live in the future, and everything is impoverished. There's no money. Everything sucks. But what they can do
Starting point is 00:06:24 is they can put on their headsets, and they basically live their life as an avatar. But it's like their life. They choose. They build a character. So it's not exactly that, but kind of that. But it's a really good movie. I'm not even telling you to watch it.
Starting point is 00:06:36 I think you'd like the movie, though. All right. But yeah, I don't think about any of that stuff, man. I just think about surviving each day. What's for dinner? What's for dinner? What's going to be on TV tonight? When am I going to get my nap?
Starting point is 00:06:47 What is on TV tonight? USA soccer plays Morocco. I'll watch that. What is today? Today's Wednesday. Oh, so a new challenge All-Stars will come out on Paramount Plus. I'll watch that. and that's about it.
Starting point is 00:07:03 I love it. That's awesome. I wish I was like that. Yeah. Yeah. I have a problem with even doing that on the opposite side of it where I've so neurotic about everything that I can't even enjoy that. Like, I'm jealous that he can just go,
Starting point is 00:07:16 works over, go watch a couple shows and call it. No, no, it's still work because you've got to look at stuff at the challenge. Like, I don't work stuff there. I mean. No, work like your work. No, no. Our work, yeah. Are you just saying that so you can write off the cable?
Starting point is 00:07:28 No. I mean, yeah. Maybe there's a conversation they have on there, and I'm like, oh, that's a good topic. That's a good idea. So I'll write this off of my taxes. Yeah. The guy won $10 million on a scratch-off, which is a lot for a scratch-off. That is.
Starting point is 00:07:40 Wow. I know we talk about a lot of people winning. Usually that's like the lottery lottery, like to draw in the numbers. That might have been an expensive ticket to buy. Probably $20 or $50, yeah, one of those. Prosecutors say surveillance footage from the hotel showed he was the only person in the room. He later confessed to shooting her because she'd been texting with another man. So all the money in the world still doesn't eliminate normal human feelings.
Starting point is 00:07:59 Now, that's crazy. You don't shoot someone because of that, but you still experience these. You don't just go, well, I get it. If I was broke, that suck. But I'm rich, baby. Still have those. I saw Elon Musk, by the way, has like a 27-year-old. He's 50.
Starting point is 00:08:13 They're a 27-year-old girlfriend. They're on an island somewhere. He's not married, never been married? He was with some... He was with grimes for a while. And they had two kids. Oh, okay. Yeah, she's 27.
Starting point is 00:08:27 Her name's Natasha Bassett. He's been with a couple of different folks. Amber Hurd? He was with Amber Hurd? Johnny Depp's Amber Hurd? No way. Oh, he could have been the one on trial. Well, and he said, or what's come out in the trial when she was doing some of her charity giving, it was actually his money.
Starting point is 00:08:43 And he was doing it. Oh. So here we go. Elon Musk has dated. His first wife was Justine Wilson. They have six kids. I did not know that. Six kids.
Starting point is 00:08:52 Mike, did you know that? He had six other kids. He married in 2010 to an actress Tallulah Riley. And they got married again and re-divorced. and then those other people, because then he got famous. Man, how much are they making on those divorces? I don't know that he had a ton of... I'm sure he had money, but I don't think he had the same money.
Starting point is 00:09:10 That he has now. I think it's a different Elon Musk. A man has his forearm amputated because of a forearm curl gave him a bacteria infection. He was doing curls. He's 29 years old. He's lifting weights, and he was pumping iron so hard. It was a 110-pound weight.
Starting point is 00:09:26 It tore the bicep because he was lifting so hard at boom. And so he had surgery, and because of that surgery, he got a bacterial infection. Wow. And had to have his forearm amputated. Dang. That's why I don't work out anymore. Good. Smart.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Yeah. Now, I've worked out a little bit yesterday, but then I was like, I'm over it. Over it? I have a crick in my neck. I thought you were training. I am, but I have a crick in my neck. So I did some curls, and then I did some bench press, and I was like, I can't do this. I'm over it.
Starting point is 00:09:50 Didn't your shoulder get better, and now you have a crick in your neck? But it's not an injury. I must have slept on it or something. Yeah, a crick's like, you can't really turn all the way. Got it. That'll get better, though, like in time. So I was like, I'm over this. I'm like, there's no need for me to push it in the middle of my training. It's good for you to recognize that.
Starting point is 00:10:05 You never know when I get called in. How much weight can you curl? Oh, I don't curl for max. Who curls for max? I know, I'm just, I've never gone above the 20, maybe 20s the heaviest ever gotten. Pretty heavy. I mean, I'll do 25s, maybe if we're like doing four. I could probably do 30s.
Starting point is 00:10:23 Yeah, those are big. That looks cool in the gym. But that's heavy, heavy. I don't, I'm not trying to go heavy, heavy, heavy. I can squat a decent amount, considering I'm a pretty skinny guy. I can deadlift a decent amount, but doesn't like because I'm not compared to like normal people who lift.
Starting point is 00:10:36 I'm just like a frail skinny guy who actually put a little work in, you know? Hey, when you squat, do you squat by yourself or do you have someone back there? Why are you making it sexy? No, no. I'm just saying it's always funny to see people squat with like a dude behind him. I'm like, a little lower, a little lower. I will squat by myself unless it looks like I'm, he'll probably stand five or six feet behind me.
Starting point is 00:10:55 Just in case. But if I'm like, I can't get up. He'll come up and make sure that the bar is ready to go. Is it turn you on or what? No, I think it's funny when you see the two dudes in the gym. I got you, but I got you lower. I don't know. I think you like him that a little bit.
Starting point is 00:11:08 Let's see. What else do I have that I want to do here? I think tomorrow, lunchbox brought in a call that we'll air tomorrow. He called Ruth Chris to prove a point, Ruth's Chris. The point was they don't want a lot of kids. He's not saying that's true. That was his point. Got it.
Starting point is 00:11:23 So I have that on my thing that we'll get to tomorrow. We did. Elby's TV pitch on today's show. Country Music Secrets, Ray, you want to hit us with one of those? Yeah, I got you. Ready? All right, here we go. Ray Mundo's Country Music Secrets.
Starting point is 00:11:39 This is a, no, you're good. This is just a follow-up to one you'd given us earlier. Yeah. So what was the first one, though? So in January and February of March, so in March, the middle of March, I gave you guys, there's a massive country divorce coming. It wasn't Sam Hunt.
Starting point is 00:11:55 Some people thought it was Billy Ray Cyrus, because that came out a week later. It wasn't that one. It was a different one. Country artist with massive songs. And there's an update. And the update is this country artist, a picture, I can't really say where,
Starting point is 00:12:09 but there was a picture that came out of them not wearing their wedding ring. So this is kind of leading me to think that the announcement's going to come very soon. Does anyone know who it is? No. I got it in the envelope, though. The envelope right here. Got it sealed. Scuba Steve signed it.
Starting point is 00:12:25 3.15, 22. with his authentic signature country music secret divorce right here called it three months ago but I think it's going to come out very soon just because of that picture I saw how do you know a friend of mine goes hey nobody's talking about this you want this and I go yeah and they go just don't say my name as your source you want this good a deal Z making
Starting point is 00:12:46 it sounds like the devil went down to Georgia the weird version with Ray the devil went up to Nashville said he had a secret to tell He was in a bind. He's way behind. He's ready to tell Ray. The devil said, do you want this? And Ray said, yeah, dog, why not?
Starting point is 00:13:04 So he got on radio. And he said, boys, let me tell you what. I guess you didn't know it, but I got a secret about a celebrity, too. So once the celebrity makes the announcement, Ray will open the envelope. Yeah. Prove that he knew. Okay. Boy said, my name's Raimundo.
Starting point is 00:13:25 That's so weird. We still haven't gotten the story. song of the summer though, right? We still waiting on that song? Yeah, we're still waiting on that song. Yeah, but it's summer, right? Summer, bro. You would think it'd be any day now because it really is one that you're going to be playing on the boat and the boats are out. I've been out. Wow. What? Somebody's guessing here in the studio.
Starting point is 00:13:49 Somebody sent you a text from the studio? Uh-huh. All right, what kind of deals are you guys making? I never heard this. Hey, Ray, can I text you one that I heard? No, because I'm pretty sure I know what they text you. Yeah, Ray and I talk about this one. Oh. No way. Do you know it?
Starting point is 00:14:05 So now Bobby knows it? I mean, I have a guess too, guys. I don't want you to guess outwardly. You want me to text you? Yeah. Okay, I'll text you. Because I've seen it. It's been, it looks weird when I've seen them together.
Starting point is 00:14:18 Wow. If this is true, I have, I mean, I'm completely oblivious. I know. Okay. Well, I hope it's not true. No, I don't want it to be right at all. Ed, did you text me? Yeah, I did.
Starting point is 00:14:32 No, Eddie, no. Who did you think it was? Don't worry, what's today's day? I'll put that in an envelope. In 15 years, Eddie, Dave, for some other reason. Eddie's like, I told you. I told you.
Starting point is 00:14:44 Eddie, you're an idiot. No? No. You sure? I'm positive. I mean, I don't know what's happening in their personal life, but that's not who Ray's talking about. Okay.
Starting point is 00:14:54 Well, somebody say something. No, I can't. Out of it. Eddie's just guest people, so there's no basis. But Eddie said when I've seen them together, it's been weird. Yeah, study body language, and it's very strange. Okay, anyway, lunchbox is pulling this phone.
Starting point is 00:15:09 He wants to text, too. I don't want to do this. We get a bad rap anyway, probably keeping stuff between us. Oh, we do? Yeah. Eddie watched The Guilty. What's the... Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:20 I think I've seen The Guilty. You have, and that's the reason I watched it. I don't know. A few months ago. It was the Jake Gyllenhaal. He's a 911 operator. Oh, and it only stays with him the whole time. I think that's why we talked about in the show, because it was a movie with one scene.
Starting point is 00:15:31 Like, it was one... What do you call it? It's not Thomas Wright, Lunchbox. and Lauren. You're not just saying. I think he's just yelling a couple. He's like, he wrote T. Rhett and Lauren. Hey, the fact that you didn't say mine, though, that's good.
Starting point is 00:15:44 It's not. I'm just not even going to humor that one, Eddie. But why won't... Yeah, why would you tell mine out there? Because it's not them. But it's also not Eddie's. You don't know that. Yeah, but Eddie... You see mine a little bit?
Starting point is 00:15:55 Eddie prefaced it by going, they look weird together. And I don't want to say anybody if Eddie thinks they look weird together. Body language. It's very strange. Right. If lunchbox would have been like, oh, this couple, I saw him looking mean at each other. I wouldn't have said who it is. Oh, gotcha. I get it.
Starting point is 00:16:09 Like, Eddie, you've seen them in person? Oh, yeah. Very weird. Oh, yeah. I've seen them in person together. I'm just like, yeah, that's really weird. Anyway, this movie, you know, review it? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:18 What's it called? The guilty. Guys, you're right, dude. It was so, so good. And it's not that long, and it's one single scene. Like, there's one place. He's in the 911 operator place, and it doesn't leave from there. And so it's all dialogue.
Starting point is 00:16:33 and you're following this movie almost in your head what they're saying and the conversation he's having with the people on the other side of the line. You're just picturing like oh my gosh, what's happening
Starting point is 00:16:42 what's out of this movie? Dude, I give it five out of five 911 calls. Wow. I mean, honestly, and I think because Like one of the best movies you've ever seen?
Starting point is 00:16:50 It's underrated. Five out of five? I think I'd maybe give three out of five or four, something like that. You had to give it better than three. That's generous for Bobby. You gave it four.
Starting point is 00:17:00 Then I probably did three at three and a half. I mean, it was good as Shawshank Redemption? Five out of five is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. But I'm not, I'm not going to make it like my top five all time movies. If you give it five out of five out of five, that's good. That means it's a perfect movie, a plus. If you're a movie reviewer, like a critic, you have to give some a really five star rating. But not five star. Mike, as a movie
Starting point is 00:17:20 reviewer yourself, do you get things five? It has to be like a perfect movie, going to be your favorite movie for a very long time to be a five out of five. Okay, no. So what's it on four and a half, I guess? It's your own systematic. You can give everything five and five. We don't know not give a crap. We're just saying for us, I don't even care if the movie's perfect, but it needs to make me feel perfect at the end. That will also give me that, oh, man, loved it. Because there could be parts that, but it's like what it leaves you with.
Starting point is 00:17:43 In my life, like, I can't finish a whole movie in one sitting because it's just like my, so chaotic. So the fact that I would stop watching it and be like, oh my gosh, I can't wait to get home and finish watching it. To me, that really screams. This is a really good movie. I like it, how it made you feel. There you go. Five out of five on the film meter. Dude, it's good.
Starting point is 00:17:58 And no one talks about it. I liked it. Yeah, because it's, pandemic. They shot it because of that. right they wrote it and shot during the pandemic because they couldn't have people yeah the director wasn't even in the room with him he was like in a van outside wow that's even cooler to me uh i do want to do this eddie saw another artist on a billboard here in town he likes to bring them in to see if they're any good yes here's a problem what i don't really know how to pronounce her name because it's a weird spelling
Starting point is 00:18:21 Go ahead. It looks like Marin Taylor. It's spelled her name. M-A-R-N-N-N. Yeah. Mary-M. Marin. M-A-R-Y-N-N.
Starting point is 00:18:33 It's like M-L-A, big R-Y-N-N. Marin. That's what I saw. Mar-A-R-N. Yeah, I would say it's probably Marin. It'd be tough to be a Marin-Though now. I know. It's a unique name.
Starting point is 00:18:45 Marin Taylor. Yeah, but... Marin, Taylor, maybe. Marin. Okay. And you saw her, but you don't know her music is? I don't know anything about her. Just like, I saw it. The billboard, it was like, Marin Taylor, like, she's got a new song out, whatever. Check it out. Now, to me, I'm like,
Starting point is 00:18:58 man, if an artist is spending that much money on a billboard, like, it must be. They were doing it themselves, not the label for a minute, yeah. They must be pretty good. Do you have a clip? Yeah, sent it to Ray. Okay, so, Ray, what do we have here? Dads and Daads and Daughters. Okay, and this is like a hook? Sure, he didn't send it to me. This is just from YouTube. Okay, go ahead. That when there's nothing stronger than a love between dance and all you know. That's pretty good. It says she's on Black River, which is an independent label.
Starting point is 00:19:47 Kelsey's on Black River. Oh, I didn't know that. Eddie now we're on Black River for a little bit. And it looks like her name is Marin. If it's M small A, R, Y, and N, it looks like it'd be Marin. That would be better than being Marin. Because the R feels like it's Marin. Right.
Starting point is 00:20:02 Ah, good call. Here's the billboard. Oh, but there's no big R on this. Marin. It's got to be Marin, right, Mike? Yeah. She's pretty good. She's a good voice, too.
Starting point is 00:20:15 Yeah, so good for you. Eddie, you brought another good billboard find. Nice, man. Look at you. I mean, I'm not driving around looking for these things, but if it screams at me, I'm like, hey, that's pretty cool. Remember that name? Who was the last guy?
Starting point is 00:20:24 See, I don't remember. I don't either, but he was good. He was good. Yeah, we should remember him. All right, we're done. Got to go. You guys doing sore losers today? We are.
Starting point is 00:20:33 It's going to be really good today. It's going to be real good today. not. Because we didn't have one Monday because it's a holiday. It's just to be really good. Why didn't you do one yesterday then? Most of the Monday podcast did a Tuesday show. Yeah, we were signing hats for our, for listeners.
Starting point is 00:20:49 Dude, there's a lot. But you did a podcast, why did you do a podcast, why you're doing that? Well, it'd been a good idea. That'd have been distracting. They can't do two things at one time. They? They, you could? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:57 I'd look at Facebook all day and still talk on this show. That's true, good point. You got a point. Hey, where's a lie? Can't find it. Yeah, where's a lie? Not there. All right.
Starting point is 00:21:06 Well, you guys hope you have a good day. We'll see tomorrow. And Keith Irvine's on Friday. Dirk's is in with El King. Like, he's going to accompany her on Monday we think of next week. Otherwise, have a good one. And we will see you soon, Barbara. With Air Tasker, you can check off anything on your to-do list.
Starting point is 00:21:25 Okay, today's list. Pick up the cat, get my nails done, drop off the brownies for the fundraiser. And add fixed windshield to the list. A palm tree just fell on my car. Air Tasker it is. From errands to emergencies, post your task, set your budget, and let local taskers help you out. Go to Airtasker.com or download the app. No task too big, too small, or too palm tree shaped.
Starting point is 00:21:50 Air Tasker. Get anything done? And now for a bit of breaking news between your breaking news. With me, the Geico Gecko. Here are some things you ought to know today. People who switch their car insurance to Geico save about $900 a year. Experts are calling that nice to know. Also, plants can hear when bees buzz.
Starting point is 00:22:11 My fikas just heard that. And finally, animal experts have confirmed that goats have regional accents. I'm getting a hint of Irish there. It feels good to get good news.
