Starting point is 00:00:12 my basketball and college football journey, or my career in sports media. Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifers Show. This is a place for raw, unfills of conversations with athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated.
Starting point is 00:00:28 So let's get to it. Listen to the. the Clifford show on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. When a group of women discover
Starting point is 00:00:41 they've all dated the same prolific con artist, they take matters into their own hands. I vowed. I will be his last target. He is not going to get away with this. He's going to get what he deserves. We always say that trust your girlfriends. Listen to the Girlfriends, trust me, babe, on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:01:06 I got you. I'm Agoode. My next guest, it's Will Ferrell. Woo, woo, woo, woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. He goes, just give it a shot. But if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar. of, you know, the cat just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Listen to Thanks Dad on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. It's time for the Bobby Bones post show. Here's your host, Bobby Bones. Hello, everybody. We haven't done a post show in a couple days, so I do want to start with a couple things that have been on my list to talk about. and on the Bobbycast yesterday that we loaded, we had one of the guys that runs some radio stations. And we're on one of the stations,
Starting point is 00:02:17 and he was in town for what's called CRS, which is a big seminar. People come in from all over the country. Mike D. spoke at a podcasting conference. And people from, it's country radio seminar, but come from all over for all different formats. Artists are playing. But Lunchbox is a little sour about it.
Starting point is 00:02:34 And he now thinks that being on a panel at CRS maybe is trivial. Yeah, be just kind of a joke that they'll just put anybody on a panel? Is that because of Mike? No, but I got an, we got an email from the company. They're like, big week at CRS. Shout out to Zach, Ricky, and Moonoo for being on a panel. And I'm like, so this isn't a shot at Mike.
Starting point is 00:02:58 I was going to say, like, he ran podcast network for a long time. Yeah, I'm like, I don't even know, like, Mnoo has been on the radio for like two weeks. Got it. Okay. And then Brooke Taylor, she does like a. afternoon show from her house. I'm like, she's on a... She does more than that.
Starting point is 00:03:13 Well, that's what I mean. Middays is afternoon, isn't it? That's what I mean. It's after art. 10 to 1, so it's two hours before noon. But not just in Nashville, right? I don't... Mike, does she voice track? All over, yeah. So she does show all over the cut you? From her house, though. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:27 No, she comes... She also comes in. From her house mostly, but that's not a bad thing. No, we're literally at my house right now. Right. Yeah, but I just... I don't know, man. I'm like, really? That's who we're having on panels. Like, what are we learning from them? Like, what do they teach... But why did you even invest even 30 seconds at being irritated at that?
Starting point is 00:03:44 Well, because they sent an email to the entire company giving them shoutouts like they were some of me. Why does that bother you? Because I'm like, maybe they're doing it to say, look, see, they are really big in radio. And we don't really need that. Everybody already knows we're big in radio so they don't send, like they didn't even include Mike D on the email. They did later. Yeah, exactly. They were like, oh, oops, oops.
Starting point is 00:04:06 They did. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Dang. But he takes it so person. He just insulted because he wants to be applauded. Yeah, because if he was on a panel and he was in that email, this would be a non-issue. Lunchbox, have you been asked to be on a panel? No, no.
Starting point is 00:04:19 As I'm saying, it's just a joke that we have. That's why it's a joke. Well, at the dinner that they have, the new faces and the awards thing, I was. When you won the award for Best Weekly National Show. That's awesome. She's the only one clapping. You see her? She started clapping.
Starting point is 00:04:35 We weren't doing a clap. That's good. I like it. No, but, uh, we're. one of the guys in charge of it and a woman, they like came up to me and said, hey, next year we would love to have you on a panel. And I was like, great, just reach out.
Starting point is 00:04:46 I would love to do it. So lunch fox. Congratulations. But I'm saying, but at least you've been in radio and you know what it is. Oh, now you're hating on them specifically. I don't know what their careers are. They may be killing it.
Starting point is 00:04:57 I don't know. Yeah. And I feel like, for example, Brooke, there's things I know. I could definitely learn from her. Even how she, you know, some of her breaks. What could you learn from her? I'm not making it personal about anybody. The only thing I wonder was why he was being such a hater.
Starting point is 00:05:11 It now seems that he is insecure about his status, so he takes it out on others. Oh, trust me, I'm not insecure. When theirs is lifted. Our show is a lot bigger than all their shows. I guarantee that. That's not the point. I do think he should have a panel, though.
Starting point is 00:05:25 I would like to see a lunchbox panel. I think that'd be great. Yeah, so lunchbox, if you get asked, are you going to say yes, or is the panel too lame? I will see what the panel's about. They see how much they're paying me, too. No, they don't pay to be panels. It's a volunteer.
Starting point is 00:05:38 Oh, well, then, probably not. I said, no, you don't want to. So they did the panel for free. Yeah, because they need the publicity. Lunchbox, what would your panel be about? I don't know. I don't know. You had one title.
Starting point is 00:05:50 Obviously, I have no idea. No, you get to title. How to be a jerk. I honestly have no idea what these panels are. I don't watch panels. No, no, but let's say, because what happens is people from all over the country in media come and they learn stuff, they see new artists. It's a whole week of basically an education.
Starting point is 00:06:07 and let's say hey they come to say lunchbox we love what you do and we would just love for you to teach other broadcasters all over the country podcast broadcasts we'd love for them to come
Starting point is 00:06:18 and watch you talk to them and take something away from it you tell us what it is we'll pay you we'll pay you and you do this panel do they pay you no but they're gonna pay me
Starting point is 00:06:28 but yeah sure I'm gonna teach them how to dominate that's what I'm gonna teach them how to dominate what would it be called how to dominate your market okay now how would someone dominate a market? Man, you just got to go, can I say balls of the wall in this?
Starting point is 00:06:42 Sure. Go balls the wall, let's go. But what does that mean? I was going to give you the speech because then I'm not going to get paid. So why would I give you the whole panel right now? You're not giving it the whole panel because panel people ask questions too. Just give us a general idea. I just told you.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Balls of the wall. It's called dominate. Come on, baby. Go balls and the wall. Let's get it. But what would they take from it? Like, what's the general idea? Because they're not going to pay you unless they know exactly what you're going to give them.
Starting point is 00:07:10 I'm going to teach them how to win in radio. How do you win? How do you win? Get the best ratings. Dominate, baby. How do we do that? Do you connect with the audience, lunchbox? Yep.
Starting point is 00:07:23 How? By dominating. Good point. Good point. Lunchbox, they'll never ask you to do it. That's the point. He doesn't have a point. I do have a point.
Starting point is 00:07:32 I can't give away all the secrets for free. Lunchbox, what about like a panel on? how to break a new artist that has no talent. But that's not what he does. Yes, he does. I did. I broke Abby. Boom.
Starting point is 00:07:42 Oh gosh. Well, you set him up. You set him up in the meanest way, Eddie. I'm just saying. I was saying. You set him back up to go where he wants to go. You chop down the jungle in front of him and let him just walk there. I think he can speak to this.
Starting point is 00:07:56 Eddie, Eddie's just said Abby has no talent. No, no, no. He was setting you up. Yeah. And Abby does have a lot of talent. But go ahead. Lunchbox, if it were like, how do you create a, a buzz for an artist.
Starting point is 00:08:09 Oh, you just tell them the truth. Rip them. Set them up to fail and then. No, you don't set them up to fail. I said her up. No, I gave her a book on how to get singing lessons. I told her to play guitar. I set her up for success.
Starting point is 00:08:22 I tried to save her money. I booked her gigs. No, you tricked her. You took her out on the road. I took her out in the street. And you were like, I got you a gig. And then you're like, play out on the street. Maybe people throw money in a cup.
Starting point is 00:08:34 Right. So that is you setting her up in your mind. to fail, but what Abby continues to do is she turns it into success. Yes. So maybe Abby should have the panel. Yeah. Yeah. See, you guys are so, you guys have it so butt backwards. You know, I've never heard that before. Lunchbox, I think that's something that you're, you have a real talent at and you could speak to other people as sometimes. Is dominated. Oh my gosh. What have you ever dominated? Life. Got it. I agree. Okay, never mind. Go ahead, Amy. I'm sorry. Nothing. I just think that he's really good at not caring about what
Starting point is 00:09:06 anybody else thinks. And that plays in his favor at times. He's able to just speak his mind and you are quick on your feet. Like you come up with stuff so fast. And also when it comes to, if you want to talk about dominating your market, you're really good at getting to know
Starting point is 00:09:22 the salespeople and getting free things. Can I ask you something? That is so smart. I'm asking Amy this in the most loving, kindest way. And I don't want this to be an insult to anybody. He constantly beats you up. I take shots at you. you. This is a...
Starting point is 00:09:37 Not constantly. This is a compliment to you. Yet you still look for ways to lift him up. Even though he's throwing rocks, not literally, figuratively, constantly throwing rocks across the room at you. Hold on, no, no. What rocks have I thrown to her? Why do you do that?
Starting point is 00:09:52 Well, I mean, we've been together a long time. I think he contributes a lot to the show, and I do think that he has stuff to offer. I do think he is so funny. But I wonder why you're motivated, when he's motivated to continue to push you down constantly, while you still lift him up. Because there's also times that he's
Starting point is 00:10:06 been there for me as a friend and I think that you know sometimes whether he's doing it for shock I've just learned to not take it too personally because it used to really get to me and it would derail me and I would maybe cry and then no it's just not it's not worth it's like cartoon character it's like I don't want to give him that that power like I'd rather come along the side and support him and then I know that if push comes to shove he'd support me as well I agree But hold on, hold on. When I ever thrown rocks, all I do is promote. I said figuratively. Four things with Amy Brown. I always talk about it and what a great podcast is. You know what she'd suck at? Telling people how to stay married. Stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:10:46 That's a rock. Yeah. And that's actually just a truth. And sometimes whenever, and we all do this. But he does especially. Like if he says something and I'm like, that's completely inappropriate. But I laugh. But I try to like not encourage it. But he knows he'll just, it'll just get bigger and bigger and bigger. And he'll just make it such a bit that it's not. He's not even telling his truth anymore, but he just knows he's like pissing people off and killing. He's getting under your skin. He'll just run with it. And it's hilarious.
Starting point is 00:11:11 I need to learn from what Amy's doing because I just end up being like getting upset and then and then he kind of, I end up being on his level and that's never good for me. To be on his level to be like, you know, try to hate back. And this doesn't work. Sometimes you do. You know? Yeah. So I got to be more like Amy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:26 No, but sometimes you're on my team. Well, yeah, because we, I mean, I think we agree on a lot of things. I mean, he's like me. He's got the same views as me. No, no, not really What was his recent, like, somehow he slammed me about like infertility, which was like Oh, remember that? He goes, I don't know if I should say it, which means
Starting point is 00:11:44 we're not going to be like, okay, man, ever in life. Someone's not going to be like, I don't know if I should tell you this secret. You're never going to be like, well, that you didn't keep it to yourself. You know, hardly ever. But that's how much I don't let it impact me anymore. Yeah, I don't think I made, I am. He was like, you do a panel and how to not be fertile. Well, like, I don't think I've ever made fun of your infertility.
Starting point is 00:12:03 You have, you for sure have. No, there is a recent thing, but what I'm saying is, is I just, you know, let it roll off my back because to me it's not worth it to get all worked up. So I don't even remember honestly what you said, but I do know you said something because listeners were not happy.
Starting point is 00:12:18 Sometimes you forget. The listeners are never happy. They're doing a bunch of carons. What people do or say, but you usually remember how it made you feel when they did it or said it, good or bad. Like you can forget sometimes what somebody has said to you, good or bad, the first time you met her,
Starting point is 00:12:32 but it's, you almost. never forget how it made you feel, even if it's in your subconscious. And you just have like a relationship with that person that's a positive one because you had a good experience. But yes, lunchboxes panel will be how to dominate. The market. No, I think gaming has a better one. How to get free stuff. That is also one. But while working in radio, not just showing up to radio events. Anybody that did that volunteer their time, he had nothing but love. Mike's was really good. I didn't see the other people who I don't know much about it. I'm sure they did a great job too. know them. But I'm also not going to get mad and take shots at them because they did something
Starting point is 00:13:07 that I didn't do. And I'm jealous they were rewarded publicly for it. Yeah. And Mike, did you reply to that email? I'm like, yo, did you forget about me on the panel or what? Like, how did they remember to include you? Did someone reach out? Because someone else emailed and said, you forgot Mike. Okay, good. Did you get mad about that lunch, box? Well, that's before I knew Mike was on a panel. I didn't know Mike was on a panel. And you knew through that second email? Yeah, Well, no, I think we talked about on the show. And then after the show is when we got that email saying, oh, Mike was on a panel.
Starting point is 00:13:39 Maybe they heard it on the show. I think maybe that might. I don't think they listen to the show. Okay. All right, let's do this mid roll here. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:13:48 Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. This is a place for raw,
Starting point is 00:14:07 unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. One week, I'll take you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment. And the next, we'll talk about life, mental health, purpose, and even music. The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast.
Starting point is 00:14:24 It's a space for honest conversations, stories that don't always get told, and for people who are chasing something bigger. So if you've ever supported me or you're just chasing down a dream, this is right where you need to be. Listen to The Clifford show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:14:41 And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends,
Starting point is 00:15:10 Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care, so they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves.
Starting point is 00:15:31 Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. What's up, everyone? I'm Ego Wodom. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. My dad gave me the best advice ever.
Starting point is 00:16:03 I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit.
Starting point is 00:16:33 If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar. of, you know, the cat just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to thanks dad on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. All right.
Starting point is 00:16:55 You know, this is not dirty, but it's also if you have a five-year-old and you listen to the podcast with a kid in the car, maybe this is one of those you just get past for a couple 15 seconds slips. You know what I mean? Yeah, what happened? Because it's a new story. Oh, oh. You guys familiar with Elizabeth Hurley, the actress? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:13 She's hot. Yeah, and she was with the actor for a long time who ended up getting caught with a hooker. Oh, Hugh Grant. Elizabeth Hurley did a sex scene in a movie, and it was a lesbian sex scene, but her son directed it. No. Her son directed a lesbian sex scene with his mom doing it. Nope. See, they can always blame this on art, you know?
Starting point is 00:17:33 It's like, oh, it's heart. You don't see it that way. But, like, that's just weird. It's a job, but that's weird. It's a weird situation. I mean, it doesn't have to be your job. Does he check out for a minute? Like sometimes a court justice in state Supreme Court or national federal Supreme Court,
Starting point is 00:17:45 they'll be like, I need to remove myself in the case because I'm too. Yeah. No, but he's going to have to look at the edits and like, you know, be there for all the post-production. Like, no, man. What movie's that? What's not out yet? Elizabeth Hurley has a girl-on-girl sex scene in her upcoming strictly confidential, and it was directed by her 21-year-old son.
Starting point is 00:18:06 Damien? I don't know. Mom, go a little harder. Can you grunt? No, no. No. Mom, can you pull your down your top a little bit? Like, I mean, a little strange.
Starting point is 00:18:16 Wow, wow, wow. From the Journal of Economic Psychology. But that has to be tough. Oh, he's going to just stay on this one now. He's going to have such a hot mom. I just don't think you look at your mom regardless of hot. Lunchbox, do you have a hot mom? Eddie loves Lunchbox's mom.
Starting point is 00:18:34 Lunchbox. All of a sudden, he claims. Oh, yeah, I'm just DM and your mom again. She's asked for more picks. Okay. What, Amy? I'm just reading about it and I'm so... What did you say?
Starting point is 00:18:45 Sorry, I was over here. DMing your mommy. It says from the Journal of Economic Psychology, you wouldn't realize it, but regular participation in clubs and other social activities increases your happiness as much as doubling your income.
Starting point is 00:19:01 That's stupid. It kind of feels stupid. Yeah, let's be in a, I don't even know what a club... Kiano's club? Sports and social. club and then it's the good as doubling. Evidence shows, and I do understand that connection to people is a valuable thing. I just think it's weird to say doubling your income.
Starting point is 00:19:18 No, because that'd be awesome. Evidence shows that being connected to other people has a powerful influence, not only on happiness, but how healthy you feel. Experts found it's also important to experience this after work activity a couple times a week, but it increases your happiness as much as if you were to get double your income. I call a bit of BS on that. Maybe it does something to the chemicals inside of you that you're bought, but there's no chance.
Starting point is 00:19:39 double maybe like 10% raise yeah maybe double be awesome maybe like 10% raise maybe um Mike's UFO is up it's uh on my Instagram story uh to Mike's account just Mr Bobby Bones so Mike's Instagram story is up and it's an alien it's spaceship it's definitely a UFO whatever it is we don't know what it is it's frankly unidentified correct so that's what's up UFO go look at it before you start judging It's crazy. Jeff Bezos is now the world's richest man again. He keeps going back and forth, don't he? All those guys keep switching places.
Starting point is 00:20:16 Yeah, because they make one deal and like, oh, I beat you. Yeah, like a number one song in country music. Pass it around. It's like, all right, this week you're number one. This week, you're number one. So Jeff Bezos takes them on because Tesla's stock fell more than 7%. Bezos has a net worth of over $200 billion. French billionaire Bernard Arnold came in third.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Where's that guy from Mexico? Oh, he has Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Celine. He came at $197 million. What Mexican. There's one guy that's like... Oh, yeah, yeah. His name is... Escobar?
Starting point is 00:20:54 No. No. What's his name like? Something French. Carlos. Carlos Slim. Yeah. Slim feels like a...
Starting point is 00:21:04 Yeah. That's what you call like the cartel guy. Slim. Really? That's a slim. That's a good nickname for a cartel guy. Hey, Slim. I made a joke last night. I went to...
Starting point is 00:21:15 Hang, $105 billion. That's what he's worth. Really? As of December. 105 billion. That's not even real. There's not even that much money in paper. It's all just digital.
Starting point is 00:21:23 What would you do, like, if you had $105 billion? Give away $50 billion immediately and keep the other $55 billion? Sure. What would you do for fun? By... Whatever you wanted? I know. That's an easy answer.
Starting point is 00:21:35 I would buy a massive jet. Like one of the Southwest jets? Like a big point? Yeah, like the president flies on. And put bed in there and a bar. You just go wherever you want or whenever. A dance floor? I don't know about a dance floor.
Starting point is 00:21:49 But that's what I would do. That's what I would do. Okay. I would, first of all, I would NIL, Arkansas, raise back football like crazy. Okay, see, every player. Just so they can win? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:00 Okay. I'd be king NIL. I'd be doing deals with all those guys. I'd be getting the best players because you can do that legally. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But if I'm going to buy something, like the ultimate luxury would be a big jet. You see there's a plane crash here Yes Like a single engine
Starting point is 00:22:15 Yeah There's a family in it Five people I don't know who was in it Because the story didn't say Two adults, three kids Really? From Canada
Starting point is 00:22:21 They're flying from Canada here No they're flying from Kentucky Which is the crazy part Because that's a really short flight So it's you know When you take off and something like that Depending what part of Kentucky an hour Yeah
Starting point is 00:22:32 And then you feel like Oh yeah up down No big deal And but somewhere close to John C-Tune The private airport here There was engine failure And I saw some of the communication where the guy at John C-Tun, which is one of the private airports here, was like, hey, we cleared the runway, like land.
Starting point is 00:22:50 And he was like, I don't think I'm going to make it that far. He's like, just glide. And then that was kind of it, right? Yeah. I mean, I think he went past it somehow and then was trying to turn around. And at the turn, at the turn, then went into like the side of highway 40. Do you know if it was a pilot as in they had hired a pilot or if like the dad or the man in the family was the time? I have my assumption, my guess, but I don't, you know, rather not NPR.
Starting point is 00:23:17 Yeah, let's not. I hear you. I think that, well, it made me think of Ben. I mean, my ex has been, like he was in a single engine aircraft and lost engine failure. In fact, the whole propeller flew off. The plane. Like, it departed. Like, they were going, like, he had a pilot with him in the next seat, the co-pilot.
Starting point is 00:23:36 And he was like, can you check the manual for engine? failure and then while they're looking through the manual the propeller just flies off he's like is that in the manual? Do we have propellers for dummies around? Yeah. So then they just threw the manual on the back seat because they're like definitely not in there. But, you know, I don't, I don't know when you're getting your pilot's license, like what amounts of gliding practice goes into it. But I know that when Ben was at the Air Force Academy, he got his glider wings. So I don't, I don't know if that's everybody. I don't know to what point. But that's immediately what he did is he turned the plane into a glider so he acted as if he was a bird and he was able to turn and, you know, do things and
Starting point is 00:24:13 maneuver. He knew right where he wanted to land and he found a body of water and he landed on the water. It's like a small pond, right? And then it sunk into the lake and they had to get out. But that's what the tower was saying. No. I remember hearing about it, but yeah, it was terrible. That's what the tower was. They didn't even call Amy until he was safe. Tell you they say, like, they called out. We were at work. A black hawk helicopter had to come. A what? And Black Hawk. Got it. Helicopter. Because they were in the middle of nowhere and they had to lower. Like Ben even used, you know, like a reflector to like show like off the sun.
Starting point is 00:24:47 He's so smart. He's like a Boy Scout. This is where we are. And they lower the road. Or someone in the military. Right. Well, I was thinking about it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:52 There's military training there. But yeah, the tower to this plane was like, yeah. I did see that communication. Glide. And it's like, oh, man. Well, I Google Earthed it, which I do all to a lot of things. And I was like, man, how close were they to the airport? Dude, they were so close.
Starting point is 00:25:06 I didn't know that they possibly had. passed it and tried to turn back around. I didn't know that either. One of the articles I read, Ben and I were actually texting back and forth about it with articles. And yeah, one that I saw indicated that for whatever reason they were like, wait, why they passed the airport? Yeah, why not just go? But maybe it was confused. You know, if you haven't maybe landed at that airport before, you don't know. Yeah. Or if there's engine failure, you have so many other thoughts going through your mind. Yeah. Yeah, that sucks. Well, that is very sad. That story is super tragic. I saw that. We were flying back at the same time.
Starting point is 00:25:37 And Morgan, do you see the cops near your house? Yeah, well, I heard all of them. I was taking my dog outside because this is near me. And all of a sudden, I just hear cops, fire trucks, like helicopters, everything. And I was like, oh, my gosh, what's happening? And, like, immediately ran inside because I thought there was, like, an active shooter or something in the area. That was my initial thought. And then I saw the news.
Starting point is 00:26:00 Speaking of planes, do you tell them about your kids? The light? No, I haven't told them. No. Oh, my gosh. This is a close one. So a few weeks ago, I bought a laser pointer for my kids basketball practices. I read online that like, ooh, you get a laser pointer.
Starting point is 00:26:16 You can put it in the backboard or whatever. And you tell them like, all right, guys, like hit that spot and you practice. So I had a laser pointer. I've never owned a laser pointer ever. So it's pretty cool. And I put in a drawer. I leave it there or whatever. And the other day I went looking for it and it wasn't there.
Starting point is 00:26:31 And one of my boys was like, oh, yeah, so-and-so has it in the backyard. I was like, oh, okay. So I go to the backyard and two of my kids are back there and they're pointing it like in the sky. And I go, whoa, what are you guys doing? They're like, oh, we're waiting for a plane to fly by. We're going to point it at the plane. I'm like, no, no, you can't do that. Like, you will go to jail if you do that.
Starting point is 00:26:53 And they're like, what? They didn't know. No, but I'm thinking that's got to be very common for a kid to pick up a laser pointer and be like, oh, look, let's just fine shine out the plane. Because like an adult knows that that's illegal and you can't do that. But they're always adults who get arrested for doing it. Right. And I don't think a lot, I don't think laser pointers are really a thing for kids. Unless adult has one laying around, which is what I have.
Starting point is 00:27:12 Well, we were kids. It was cool because it was new. And if you had a cat, that was really cool. But now I think kids would be bored with a laser pointer. Dude, my kids were not. They're like, this is so awesome because you can shine it in the dark, up to the sky. And it looks like it's hidden up a star. Like, it just flies.
Starting point is 00:27:27 I'm glad you caught them. Yeah. So would I go to jail if they did it? It depends. I mean, if something bad were to happen and they were very young, you would probably be in trouble. Yeah. because to them it's like, oh yeah, why not? Let's just shine it towards the plane.
Starting point is 00:27:39 Maybe they'll see it. I'm glad you caught him. Unless they were already doing it and they were like, we were going to. Oh, man, I hope not. Yeah. A couple other things here. Amy, will you talk to us about the six to one grocery method? Because I am not someone who...
Starting point is 00:27:54 Grocery shops? You know? Goes the store? Really ever. So in the earlier days, I'd call them the struggle years. mostly I would just go shop at a gas station I was living by myself I would just get just whatever I needed
Starting point is 00:28:08 for the next day or so stop by the gas station get a little something else that's basically then I would eat then in the non-struggle days which are now why would I go to the grocery store
Starting point is 00:28:18 I'm not like now I have my days are filled with work so we can order Instacart the only way I would think though is if your wife was cooking something She goes to the grocery store No no no hey on the way home real quick can you just pick me up a box
Starting point is 00:28:33 of whatever. She would say, because I think I've messed up though. She's like, hey, get me this. Not on purpose. You brought the wrong thing. Yeah, but now she's just, no, not even the wrong thing.
Starting point is 00:28:42 I get a bunch of extra stuff. That's fun, like fun stuff. Cereal? Yeah. Oh, God. And so I think now she just, by the time she's like, hey, when you come up from work,
Starting point is 00:28:52 she just orders Instacart. Got it. But if we moved out of the building, we're going to be right above Whole Foods. Oh, and I can't wait. If we, we are, right? If we move inside that building, my friend. Yeah, I don't know. They keep saying that forever. When we? Yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:29:08 What's the six to one grocery method? Okay, I just saw it going viral. Some chef that put it out there. And when you go to the grocery store, you go to 65, four, three to one, six vegetables, five fruits, four proteins, three starches. You forgot seven, seven boxes of cereal. Right. Now start it again. Where's the ice cream? I'd have made to interrupt you. Go ahead. So start at six again. I'm sorry. Six vegetables, five fruits, four proteins, three starches, two sauces or spreads, and one fun item. So that's the ice cream. And what the what this chef says, the benefits here are you cut back on wasted food, time, and money by taking out any guess work. And it gives you the freedom to buy what you actually want to eat, flexibility. Like you just have to like fill in the blanks of what four proteins do we want this week.
Starting point is 00:29:49 Do we want ground beef, chicken? Yeah. I don't know. Eggs. Ground turkey. There you go. So that's, I don't know. It's called the six to one grocery method.
Starting point is 00:30:00 I mean, that's probably really good for you. Google it. Speaking to Google, I started Googling more about the plane crash. And I don't know. I swear it said Kentucky. Is anybody with me on that? I'd never heard that. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:11 Well, it's something I read said Kentucky. Now it's saying potentially Canada, which I did know they were Canadian. But you know what makes me feel really bad is like they were talking to witnesses that were on I-40. And they literally saw the plane falling from the sky. And it's just like, gosh, you're just driving home from work or something. And like now you, there's a. trauma of something you've witnessed five people just die before you. Oh, terrible.
Starting point is 00:30:38 I'm just sitting at, you want to hear something? So anyway, I always feel like I need to clarify things now. Yeah, NPR will be met. Thank you for doing that. Hey, I will find the article that said Kentucky. So our CFO message me last night. I was asleep. No, I think it was coming.
Starting point is 00:30:54 It was like 11 o'clock, so I was probably about to fall asleep. I did a show last night in Arkansas. Oh, I did a joke. It wasn't really a joke. I just kind of said it last minute. Like I was up there. I did, what's it called? It's called a chamber of commerce.
Starting point is 00:31:08 Yes, I didn't know what a chamber of commerce was. I was a member when I lived in North Carolina and had my cupcake business. It was a good way to network. Okay. So I'm out. Really? I'm like, I'm like, I'm a chamber of commerce. I said that too.
Starting point is 00:31:19 I was like Mount Pine I have a chamber of commerce. Like, I looked up what it is. Obviously, it's a, you guys are funneling money or something. You know, whatever. Periment scheme. Yeah, right. That's what I said. Like, we know he's been a fit in the cartel or something.
Starting point is 00:31:31 I made a little joke. That's what reminded me of that when you were talking about slim or whatever. So I got a good little laugh. And I said, we know we barely had a constable or a dog catcher. And whatever, we had a mountain pine. I remember what it was. And then I said, Chamber of Commerce, like it sounds like something for 50 shades of gray, the Chamber of Commerce.
Starting point is 00:31:49 You had thought Chris Rock had entered. Again, just throw it like Chamber. I think I have a clip of that. Like a torture chamber? Like chamber where they do dirt. Yeah. Let me see if I have a clip of that. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:32:00 No, that's not it. Hold on. That's not you. I only have two. That is me. No, that's not it. Ray, or Ray. Reed, do I?
Starting point is 00:32:11 Chamber of Commerce. Do I have that clip or no? I do. I only took two clips from last night. No. The thing about Reid is so good at sending me clips. He sends me all different sizes of them, so it's the same clip over and over again. Just two more sizes.
Starting point is 00:32:23 Well, who cares? That's all right, buddy. I appreciate that, though. Let me try one more time. No, you know. Commerce was. Chamber of Commerce sounds like something from that 50 Shades of Grey Book
Starting point is 00:32:44 where the peoples are laughing really hard. We know what you're up to. I was surprised they laugh like that. That's a good joke, dude. It wasn't even a real joke. But that's funny. I know at times it's like stuff that I didn't even work on.
Starting point is 00:33:00 It's stuff that I do work on. Nobody laughs at it. And I'm like, I suck. And then I say something, I'd throw away like that. I'm from Mount Pine, Arkansas. It's population 700. It's a very small town. But we didn't have a Chamber of Commerce.
Starting point is 00:33:10 I'll be honest with you. I know what a Chamber of Commerce was. chamber of commerce sounds like something from that 50 Shades of Grey Book where it sounds like you're editing in from a like a sitcom like a laugh track yeah another one was somebody's phone went off in the middle of my my I was you know speaking telling jokes doing whatever Kevin you come in to come in sit down you're good um and again I didn't even think this was this was somebody's phone ringing here you go
Starting point is 00:33:35 but I'm staring at the person is that like a Nokia like 2001 It's not even that I'm like in the middle of something good. Wireless. Is Crickett wireless still a thing? I don't know. But I remember cricket. Yeah, me too from about that time. But that phone was like old school.
Starting point is 00:34:05 Dun, none, none. Like right in the middle of the deal. But I did that last night. He killed it last night, man. I don't know. I killed it. It's pretty good. But I got back late last night.
Starting point is 00:34:14 Oh, this is what I'm getting to. Our CFO messaged me late last night. Oh, yeah, yeah. And he said. You give us a race? Hey. And we talk every few weeks. but he lives in New York, Miami.
Starting point is 00:34:26 He goes, hey, I'm doing this big outing the day before IHart Country, because we all go to IHart Country. And I go, awesome, let's go. Eddie and I would love to play golf in this outing. Let me know details. Did he invite me? No. I just assume, because we do all this.
Starting point is 00:34:41 It replied this morning. And he goes, I swear to God, this morning at 10, or no, 936. He says, who's Eddie? He goes, Eddie, question mark? Stop. Well. It's about right. That's not nice.
Starting point is 00:34:55 Maybe he just knows who you are, but it's like, wait, Eddie golfing question work? So then I go, I go, oh, sorry. So we travel and play all these tournaments together, natural reaction. He's also on the radio, we played our country festival together three times as a musical act. I said, I can kick him out, muscle memory. And? And what do you say? Well, nothing, yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:11 Bubbles? Bubble, erase, bubble erase. Dang, man. I'll let you know. These are the times I wish I knew how to play golf. That'd be fun. Why don't you just go? I could learn.
Starting point is 00:35:22 You can just go. No, you can't go. This is like a nice golf thing they do every year at like a really nice course. Yeah, it's like. It's not, you don't just go. And he has to pay for it for everybody. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:35:32 It'd be like if I was really good. If I was really good, then it'd be cool. It'd be like, yeah, totally. Bring Amy. She's awesome at golf. Listen, you can ride and give everyone their distances and like. She wouldn't want to do that. She'd forget.
Starting point is 00:35:44 Whatever I could show him that I'm ambidextrous. You're not, though. No, don't swing a club. You're bad both ways. We went last year. And I played with Rich and some corporate guys, a couple clients, Jordan Davis. There was one, who else played with? Megan Patrick?
Starting point is 00:36:05 Megan Patrick just started playing. She's such an athlete because she was like a competitive snow skier, like snow skier jumper. Yep. And she heard her back real bad. She landed in a fall. But she had just started playing golf like six months ago. And it was annoying that she was pretty good. And she's like tattoos.
Starting point is 00:36:22 She's a really good at country artist tattoo. And she's out there and her golf. Golf, just nailing it. She's Mitchell Timpennie's wife, right? But she's a professional, she's basically a professional athlete. Yes, I realize that. But there is hope. Only if you're a professional athlete and you take on golf, it's still going to be hard.
Starting point is 00:36:36 Okay. You can always learn golf, Amy. But we suck at golf, and we've played a bunch. Yeah. That we suck? No, I, y'all play a lot, and all I hear y'all say is, ugh, kidding me at the ball these days, ugh, I suck. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:36:50 My whole golf game is so off. Yeah, exactly. We're hard on ourselves. No, and we saw. Hey, did you see that comedian that had to get pulled off stage? Yeah. He's drunk. Nick Schwarzen.
Starting point is 00:37:00 Yeah. Man, that video is very, very awkward. How hard is it to learn golf at 43? Not. I'm not 43, yeah, but it's 40, oh, this is a common question. It's 42 old to take up golf as a hobby. It's not. Someone said, I think it's the perfect age to start a new hobby.
Starting point is 00:37:19 He's a golf instructor. You got to commit. Yeah, yeah. Pay him 100 bucks an hour. Max is going to follow other streaming services by cracking down on password sharing. Uh-oh. Which they should. Honestly, it's nice if you can get a free.
Starting point is 00:37:30 But they create this product so people will pay for it. So they can keep creating the product. And if you don't like it, don't pay for it. But if you do take it and consume it, you should pay for it. I just think it would be easy to police this. Like, just you can't sign on on two different locations, period. But if a family has an account. When you get the family account.
Starting point is 00:37:48 But again, you could just give somebody else that family account. No, because then you can register five items, five TVs, five whatever. That's what Hulu does. So every time I travel and I go into like an Airbnb or whatever and I log in my Hulu in, they're like, are you have two more locations you can log in. So do you have to log out from that when you leave to get three? Yes. Or have to call them and say, hey, that was just a rental. Take that off. Well, then anybody could use it and just call and be like, it's just a rental. Yeah, but that was only for a weekend. You're going to do that every weekend? If I don't want to pay for it, I would. Make a simple call.
Starting point is 00:38:18 All right. That's it. We have an interview that we're about to do for the show. with Barbara Corcoran, who's always awesome. Shark Tank. Apparently, Amy has a big question for her. Yeah, one if she was nervous about. Don't tell us what it is. I won't. But I can't wait to hear it.
Starting point is 00:38:31 She was like, it's going to be so vulnerable of a question. I can't wait, Amy. I feel like it really would be. And I never, I don't know why I've never, because we've had her on, you know, where I could have asked this the last time she was on, but I never even thought of it. But today, the question popped into my head.
Starting point is 00:38:47 And I thought, well, I guess we could go there. Oh my gosh. I have a good question too. Okay. Get you. Keep your questions. Wow. She's going to be on like 15 minutes. So we'll record it for the show in the next couple of days.
Starting point is 00:38:57 You guys have a great day. Today's Wednesday. There's a lunchbox you guys doing the old losers today. Yeah, we're doing sore losers today. Saw losers today. Amy's Five Things. The thing went up yesterday. But, you know, never too late.
Starting point is 00:39:11 We'll probably do it 25 whistles today. That's it. Mike, movie Mike. Yep. Got one up. Got best and worse to the last 30 days in movies. 30 days. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:21 What's the second best? Well, you got to go to the episode. Well, I would have asked for the first best. Like, what's something good at the last 30 days? Last 30 days, trying to think what I saw. That's why I didn't answer because you got to think of it. Yeah, I felt that. Can you imagine the deals that I could get done on a golf course?
Starting point is 00:39:39 That's why I like to play golf. Whether you're 5 or 95, it says here, it's never too late. And I'd rather not play with either one of those, five or 95-year-olds. Sure. I like to be in the middle more. It says your goal should be to enjoy time with friends, get some exercise, spend a few hours outdoors on a beautiful afternoon. Network.
Starting point is 00:39:55 The deal's never sealed on the golf course. The process of sealing a deal is done on the golf course. I don't know. The relationship is... But you're never putting and being like, we're going to do it, all right? We're going to merge. Yeah. No, I think you haven't been in those.
Starting point is 00:40:07 You have? I think you could hand- Hand-shake a deal. No, I think I've done, hey, yeah, we should commit to this and commit to the... Obviously, nobody shows about the contract. While you're playing the game. While I've been playing golf. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:20 Wow. But mostly it's about... developing the relationship inside the deal, but I've definitely at the end of it been like, hey man, that was awesome. Let's do this. I think I feel good about it. You too? Yeah. All right, we'll call you tomorrow and get it all settled up. Those were days that you played well. Yeah, because otherwise I just get in the car. I'm just pissed. I don't want your stupid deal. Mike, what's something good? Self-reliance on Hulu? That Jake Johnson movie? Jake Johnson? I don't know who that is. Is it bubbly toes? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:46 Is it bubbly toes? Different guy. Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da. You know Jack Johnson? Why would I know Jack Johnson? The singer? Art, he's a musician. No. Maybe that's when we were in college.
Starting point is 00:41:05 Hold on. He's really younger. How does he not know any of Jack Johnson songs? It's not really his vibe, though. Mike's more punk. Okay. Yeah, he's not punk. That was a jam, man.
Starting point is 00:41:17 Banana pancake. Oh, yeah. Damn. Now you guys making stuff up. No, we're not. It's such a good song. Listen to it. Better when we're together.
Starting point is 00:41:25 Better when we're together. Better when we're together. No? Wow. He did a really good version, too, the Jack White song. Yes, we'll be friends. You can say that we are going to be friends. He did it for the curious George movie.
Starting point is 00:41:41 I want to turn the whole thing upside down. That can be found. Oh. about a very nothing that one i know there we go that's jake johnson those are the exact words too it's jack johnson ah that's right what is jake johnson what is he in director you girl oh yeah i like him he's smit oh that's why he looks familiar yeah i like him okay we're done you guys see tomorrow peace uh don't let the bed bugs bite anything people say at the end of this yeah peace peace out have y'all have you ever thought about this one what um what did you ever say when you're a kid uh as i lay me down
Starting point is 00:42:19 to sleep i pray the lord my soul to keep and if i don't know If I die before I wake, pray the Lord of my soul. Yeah, they're Metallica. We were saying as a kid, basically, if I die in my sleep tonight, please be here for me, Lord. Did you know that people had a happier version? Like, there was a part of the country, or depending where you live. Upside down. It didn't have, like, if I die before I wake, it was like happier.
Starting point is 00:42:41 Question. Where did this come from? Because I was saying, like, cliche things like, poose. How to say good night or bye. Don't let the bad bugs by. And Amy's like, you ever do the morbid one where people die in their sleep? We're like, what the f- Yeah, it's like, why did we do that?
Starting point is 00:42:52 I did always think that was weird. Like, man, I could die. I know, but it's still weird to think about, man, I can die. But why didn't our parents learn the happy version? They're not Irish. Okay. They didn't experience a potato famine and need to actually have something happier to say, you know? Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:43:08 All right, that's it. We're done. I got a pee, and we'll see you guys soon. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me. Clifford Taylor the Fourth.
