Starting point is 00:02:22 Morning, studio. Morning. Let's go over and talk to Becca, who is waiting on the phone in North Carolina. Hi, Becca. Good morning. What's going on? Hey, Bobby. Morning, studio. Morning.
Starting point is 00:02:31 Just a quick question. I heard you talking about snake in the grass, and I'm really excited to watch it. But my question is, it's very stop secret, and you've got to go somewhere and nobody can know. how do they choose the participant in the whole process is so top secret? That's a good question. So this is what I know, which, by the way, Snake in the Grass, it's a show that I host, July 26th, it'll be on NBC after America's Got Talent, and then it's on USA starting August 1st.
Starting point is 00:02:57 So that being said, I think they lure them in in a way of like, do you, first of all, two of the episodes, two of the eight are ex-reality show contestants that people already know. So then they went and purposefully sought them out But everyone came alone thinking it was like a treasure hunt show I think that was kind of the false premise they had But they still really didn't know they were like it's like a treasure hunt show We can't tell you much about it And it's not a treasure hunt show at all
Starting point is 00:03:22 But then they got there and they did not know what they were doing Until they met me One of the four did because they already knew they were the snake But nobody else the other three did not know Even what kind of show they were on So they all are acting surprised like what Somebody hears the liar And the whole point of the show is, can you watch the show and tell who's lying the whole time?
Starting point is 00:03:40 Because it's hard. And I don't know who the snake is the whole time. Sometimes I figure it out. Sometimes I'm tricked. And I don't know. There are a couple episodes where I was like, what? And I was fooled, too. So they don't want me to know because they would think that my questions would be influenced based on what I would know.
Starting point is 00:03:55 So they tell them with like a fall. And then I think it's people applying for reality shows. They're like, we have a reality show that's in South America, jungle. They may think it's Survivor or something. I don't know. but that's how they lie. They just lie about what the show is for the most part. But yes, nobody knows what they're doing
Starting point is 00:04:13 until they meet me on camera and I'm like, hey, you're playing for $100,000 and one of you is lying to the other three. Can you figure out who it is? And if you can, you win the money. So that's the situation, Becca. Very cool. Well, I just want to give one shout out
Starting point is 00:04:27 to my dear friend, Megan Coltrane. She and I happen to meet at your comedy show, your last one here. We just happen to sit by one another and we live two miles from on another and we're great best friends now. In North Carolina? You sat right?
Starting point is 00:04:40 Oh, when I was there. Yeah. Got it. Got it. I thought she went here. The Nashville show. Yeah. I was like, that's running your mailman to Texas and you don't live there.
Starting point is 00:04:49 Got it. Well, thank you. Way back in. Have a good morning, Rebecca. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. You did the same. All right, bye, bye.
Starting point is 00:04:56 All right, let's start the show now with a little What's the Haps. We go around the room and check in on everybody. Hey. Hey, what's the Hats? Amy. Well, it's that time of year, and I have already gone school supply shopping, at least for my daughter, because she had like an orientation she had to get prepped for. All ready, huh? Already.
Starting point is 00:05:16 And let me tell you, this is the time to go. I've never gone this early, and this is where it's at. I'm normally there trying to find things, and they're all sold out, because I'm like the night before school starts. And other moms were there, like, doing it. And I'm like, oh, look at you. This is, y'all are the prepared ones. y'all like have everything in order. And I just was shocked at how stocked everything was.
Starting point is 00:05:38 July 20th, school supply shopping. Yes. Eddie, you have 70 kids. Are they going to school, getting ready to go to school? Yeah, same thing. We're back to school shopping, all that. But, man, they're really into shoes now. And it makes me think about you.
Starting point is 00:05:50 I might take them to your house to check out your closet because... They can't fit. Well, I know. Eddie puts 12 pairs socks on them. They want like awesome shoes and like, guys, no, it's just back to school. You're going to get normal shoes. Yeah, back to school already. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:06:02 All right. Hey, what's the hat? Lunchbox. Guys, I figured it out. I know how I can be on TV. I can be on TV and have my house fixed at this same exact time. Amy's sister's show. She has that show building roots.
Starting point is 00:06:18 That you've made fun of. That is not very good that not many people watch. That's not true. I think it did pretty good. I don't. Check the ratings. But have you? I watch it.
Starting point is 00:06:28 No, no, no. Have you ever checked the ratings? Have you ever checked ratings? Don't know how. Okay, good. So anyway, but I know that I watch it. I'm like, all right, this is kind of boring. People aren't tuning in.
Starting point is 00:06:37 It's on HGTV. But if they want ratings, they come to my house, fix the roof, fix the holes, do a little remodel, you know, fix the master bath, you know, put in a new, like, man. You just don't want it fixed. You want them to actually upgrade the whole house.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Well, why they're there. At a deck. They might as well. Add a deck. That would be great. You know what I mean? Like a screened in porch. We can do all sorts of things.
Starting point is 00:07:02 It would be their highest rated episode, a celebrity, and I get my house back into living living in a bowl conditions. What do you think, Amy? I mean, I guess we could pitch it. Their season is over, though. Are they doing a season two? Do you know? Well, they'll be able to announce that soon.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Okay, well. See, no, no, no. Even if they don't get a season, do it. Even if they get rejected. They could do it a one-off. Like, hey, a final. A final farewell. Well, a show that doesn't get brought back, they definitely don't want to do a special on it.
Starting point is 00:07:35 Right. They don't get it. And just think, and then we could have other celebrities stop by while the, they're doing a... What celebrity could you call, like, personally and go, hey, we're doing this. Do me a favor and stop by. Like literally from your phone without any help here. Bobby Bones. I mean, that's the easy one.
Starting point is 00:07:53 Okay. Let me see. Somebody that is not in his room. Jimmy Allen. You have his number? Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:02 I can I call him. Come over. There you go. The end. You win. Yes. How do you have his number? He gave it to me at the celebrity softball game.
Starting point is 00:08:08 He was like, dude, let's hang out sometime. I mean, that's alcohol talking and, you know, we're not really ever going to hang out. But why wouldn't he want to be a celebrity too? If they come back, maybe we pitch that to them. All right. But it would take months for it to happen. What do you mean? They just get on the airplane and fly over here.
Starting point is 00:08:25 They have to, it's a production. It's a show that's based in Colorado. Okay. You know how hard it is to move cameras? I mean, they do it all the time. You don't know how hard it is to move cameras. Like if you watch the NBA playoffs, they're in Boston one night, and the next night they're in San Francisco.
Starting point is 00:08:39 But they've already got the infrastructure to do that. Right, and then they'd have to crew, hotel. Anyway, we'll see what happens. We can set up camp in my backyard. We need to do it with our phones. All right, thank you, lunchbox. Hey, what's the hat? Eddie.
Starting point is 00:08:52 Yeah, so my family's been out of town for, I don't know, six days now, and I thought it was going to be awesome, like Bachelor pad, you know, I was going to be able to do whatever I want. I thought I was going to play a lot of golf, go out, hang out with friends. Guys, this is the picture of me if I were single again. It was terrible. It's been terrible.
Starting point is 00:09:09 I didn't, like, on the weekend, I didn't shower till Sunday. I played video games the whole time. I watched TV. I barely ate. I drank a lot. And I'm like, this whole single life, I got out of this. You're just not used to it. I'm not used to it.
Starting point is 00:09:24 And I'm like, thank God I have the family and kids, like, because my life would be a mess. Eddie sounds sad again. No, no, no, no. I'm good. I drank a lot. Yeah, that's all I heard too. Like how much? And you didn't eat?
Starting point is 00:09:35 By yourself? Yeah, but I played, no, not by myself because I play video games with people on headsets. That's, is that alone, though? That's alone. Nah. Buzz, I know you got my bad on this. That's just because you don't want it to be alone. All right, well, Eddie, I'm glad you're not single.
Starting point is 00:09:49 Yeah, me too, man. Your family's coming back soon? Yes, please, come back sooner. I need them. But they are coming back. They'll be back in a couple days. Okay, there. Hey, hey, what's the hat?
Starting point is 00:10:00 How's a shirt? Good. Like I figured you probably had something going on today. Does it fit? I mean, it's a, it's a fitted shirt. It's fit, it's fitted. Why do you say it doesn't fit? It does fit, but it's a fitted shirt. But does it fit?
Starting point is 00:10:14 Yes, tight-ish. Amy, it fits. It fits nicely. Like, is it, are you asking if it's tight or if it's, like it's? I'm saying, does it fit? Yeah. I think it fits. Look, okay, this is a small.
Starting point is 00:10:25 Oh, boy. Right? And so the big, that's a small. You are a small. Oh, wow. Oh, man. Well, I wear small off the, yes. You have a bad weekend, too? No, I don't, I would like to wear mediums.
Starting point is 00:10:37 But my wife's like, smalls fit you. Why not wear clothes that fit? And so, this is small, and it looks like it fits without you guys knowing the drama behind it. Right. It looks normal. Yeah. So that's your shirt.
Starting point is 00:10:51 That's your size. I mean, you could call it a little small. Like, it's really tight. No, it's not. No, it's not. No, it's not really tight. The arms. The arms.
Starting point is 00:11:00 Oh, sorry. That's because I got those suckers, you know what I'm saying? My only problem with small is I'm almost too tall for them, even if they do fit, because small isn't for someone as tall. So if I lift my arms up and I'm trying to get down. You show your belly? My belly comes up. Maybe if you do that, do that again, your armpit hair may almost come out.
Starting point is 00:11:18 I don't have any armpit hair. I have very little. I shave it. Oh, my God. Like there's very little. I shave it like every two months or so. You shouldn't do that. What?
Starting point is 00:11:27 You shouldn't admit that. I take the clipper and go, ugh. What? Small shirts and shaved armpits. That's the name of my next book, everybody. Get it in stores. All right, let's open it up.
Starting point is 00:11:38 You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailback. Yeah. Hello, Bobby Bone. So last night I was in Costco and I saw a wall in the parking lot right by my car. It had all the guy stuff in it, cash cards, et cetera. But no phone number. So I did some research and I found the guy on Facebook and contacted him.
Starting point is 00:12:00 He had actually posted on his Facebook, I lost my wallet today and I'm freaking out. He was so grateful. I met up with him at the back of the Costco, and I gave him his wallet. He thanked me from a distance, and that was it. My girlfriend thought for sure he'd offer me some cash, but he didn't. I actually thought he would too, but I was wrong.
Starting point is 00:12:19 I mean, was he obligated to offer me a reward, or am I being a little naive and or greedy? Signed Tyler, the Wallet Finder. If there was not a reward offer, offered, a reward should not be expected. Maybe he did not have the money to give you a reward. Maybe what was in that wallet, the cash amount was the exact amount he needed to pay a bill. I don't know. I'm doing a lot of maybes here. But if he can't afford to give a reward and he did an offer reward, he's not obligated to give a reward, which, by the way, I don't think you returned it because there was a reward. I think you returned it because you saw it and thought, wow, if this happened. to me, I sure would like for somebody to pick it up or return it to me. I think that's why Tyler you did it. Now, would a reward have been awesome? Sure. It'd have been nice to give you a couple bucks. Say, thanks, buddy. Where it helped a little bit? Sure, but that is not what it was about to you.
Starting point is 00:13:14 Now, if you call them and you go, hey, I got your wallet. Do you want to, I'll only give it back to you for a reward, leave it in the box. That's a whole different story. He did not offer a reward. He may not have had it to give to you. So no, you did not. You did not. You did not. deserve a reward because it wasn't there. It wasn't in the plan. I'm greedy. No. Because I think I'd have been like, oh, I wonder what I'm going to get. I've been through this, though, it sucks. I got like a coupon and a hat. It's stupid. You gave it back, you helped him. Maybe one day someone will help you. That's why I'd say about that. Amy? Yeah, that's how I would look at it. It's like you would
Starting point is 00:13:50 want someone to find your wallet and give it back to you. Someone found my wallet once in the Florida airport and I got it back. Come to think of it, just because it was mailed to me. It wasn't face to face. I didn't give a reward, but now I'm... But you didn't say you were going to give a reward and you didn't see them. I know, but as you're doing that, I'm like, oh, I think I would probably try to give a little something, but then it's actually happened to me and I didn't give them anything,
Starting point is 00:14:12 but I was very grateful. And in the note, when they sent the wallet back to Amy, they were like, anything helps. We're just trying to keep the soup kitchen alive. And Amy's like, no chance. No, no, that didn't happen. So you're not being greedy, but you no reward. You're good. You don't deserve a reward because he didn't say you were getting one. The reward is you're an awesome person.
Starting point is 00:14:29 Yes, that's right. The reward is you got a checkmark in the good category. Listen, guys, this is why when you find a wallet, you check for cash. No, that's not why. Yeah. Oh, my God. And that's why you slide in your pocket, because if people aren't going to give a reward, guess what? You got your reward and they don't even know it's a, hey, I found this. I don't know. I mean, this is what it was. What if you were paying your water bill and it was cash, you were going to take and get a money order with cash and pay your water bill. You know what you should do? Hold on. Let me finish the question here. And you lost your wallet on the way to doing that. And it had the money to pay the bill.
Starting point is 00:14:57 And that's all the money you had. Would you want someone to take a third of the cash out. No, I wouldn't want them to, but you know what it would teach me to be more responsible. Sometimes you can be so responsible and still lose things. Not so much. No, so much, yes, because I am very responsible and occasionally I will misplace something. Yeah, same. Because I will have something else. No, Amy, you're different.
Starting point is 00:15:14 Not the same. I will have something that's so on my mind that takes, and I'm like, oh, no, I forgot where I laid this? Now, usually I can go, where would I have laid this? I can go right to it. Sometimes it can't. But I'm not irresponsible. Like, if I knew that my water was going to get shut off, if I lost that $20, guess where that $20 would be. Staple to my chest.
Starting point is 00:15:31 Stop being dramatic. It's not a $1 million dollar you take, buddy. Okay, you're good. Everybody's good. No reward for you. The reward is living life itself. Right, everybody? Yes, there you go. All right, that's the mail bag. Close it up. We've got your email and we've read it on the air. Now it's about to close Bobby's mail bag. Yeah. Starting point is 00:18:28 Good morning, Nicole. Hi, Bobby. Good morning, studio. Morning. Bobby. I heard on the podcast that Elton John kissed you on the lips. Is that true? That is true. I'd mention that.
Starting point is 00:18:38 It's an old story from probably 10, 12 years ago where Elton John laid one right on me. Let's hear it. The whole story. The whole story. I want to hear it all. What was the year? The year.
Starting point is 00:18:49 I don't know. Probably 2000. 2012, 2013. So Andy Roddick is a former professional tennis player, was former number one in the world. And he's a close friend of mine. He was in my wedding. And I would do things for him charity-wise.
Starting point is 00:19:06 He would do things for me charity-wise. And so at a charity event, I hosted and did some comedy, and Elton John was the big musical performer. Now, before the charity event, there were these big round tables that if you buy a ticket for the dinner you sit there. Now, I didn't buy a ticket for the dinner, but since I was entertainment, I sat at the table with the other entertainment, which was Elton John. And so it was Brooklyn, Decker, his wife, Andy, Elton John, myself, and we're all sitting there just kind of talking,
Starting point is 00:19:35 and Elton John, they had just had adopted their baby. I'm not sure how, that situation, but he had a new baby, and he had an iPad, and he was sitting on the iPad, and he was showing me pictures of his new baby. And he's like, look this, like this, like this. He was just, He's just a dad who was super proud of his new baby. And I'm just like, I can't believe Elton John has shown me. And the whole situation to me was bizarre. Elton John's one of the most famous musicians ever in American history, except he's British, but still an American history. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:02 Yes. So we have dinner. He's super kind. He goes backstage, does his little get ready, and he goes on the stage and he plays, Oh, I'm close to time to dancer. Does like an hour. The place is a rough. And he does this thing where he stands up and the crowd goes, ah, wild.
Starting point is 00:20:19 And he gets off the piano, because it's just him in a piano on a room of a few hundred people. And he's like, thank you. And you think he's done. He goes back and says down and does another. He's tricking people constantly. So he plays. He finishes up. And he's like, nah, nah, nah, nah.
Starting point is 00:20:31 Procadale rock? Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. And he killed. And he's like, ah, he does it again. And so finally at the very, his final song that he does. And he's like, the Lion King. How's that one go? A circle of life.
Starting point is 00:20:44 The circle of life. No, no. No, he had another one, though, too. Maybe from that. Can you feel the love tonight. And you feel the love tonight. And the crowd's going crazy. And then he gets off the stage and walks through.
Starting point is 00:20:54 And he starts, you know, thank you, shaking people's hands. Elton and I had established a relationship, a friendship, some would say. And so he was shaking people's hands. Like, thank you. He's walking off. I'm about to walk off. And it's just set. And he reaches up.
Starting point is 00:21:07 He's like, lovely to meet you. And he takes his two hands. He spreads them on each side. Like you're going to pick up a basketball from the two sides of it. And he grabs my head and goes, and just plants one right on my lips. and for some reason to me it was like I caught a foul ball or something I was like yeah I did it yeah I was like you know you know the camera's on you and you know
Starting point is 00:21:25 and he did and I was like oh Elton John just kissed me on the mouth there was no tongue it was nothing like that it was just I don't know it was awesome and it was Elton John and he walked up I never saw him again Wow I mean after that hey he kissed me and ghosted me that's right yeah
Starting point is 00:21:43 now that I think about it it's kind of sad but that is the story of Elton John kissing me on the mouth. I was at a charity event. He was just hugging and shaking hands with everybody. And because we had had quite the camaraderie, he kissed me on the mouth and kept going. So Nicole, I'm glad you asked.
Starting point is 00:22:01 That's the story. Sounds like you made an impression. Thanks for sharing. I hope, except probably not. He forgot about it. Yeah, I'm sure he was on to the next iPad. You know, hey, a lot of guys, he's probably showing the iPad to a lot of guys. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:22:15 I don't think so. Yes. What were we saying? I don't think he didn't go around. I was there that night, and I don't think I saw him kiss anybody else. That night, no more guys. No more guys. You know, I was the guy the night, for sure.
Starting point is 00:22:26 I was the guy of the night for sure. All right, Nicole, I appreciate your call. Where do you listen to us in Virginia? I'm from Lynchburg, Virginia. My husband and I are driving all the way to Nashville to see your show in August. We're actually making a pit stop from our sister-in-law's wedding. Oh, cool. Well, thank you very much.
Starting point is 00:22:42 And I can't wait to see at the shows. And thanks for asking for the story. And thanks for listening. Have a great week. Thank you, Bobby. Bye, Studio. Bye. We don't only have that one.
Starting point is 00:22:53 We've never done. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. This guy, Jake, his job is to travel around the country and he installs solar panels. And he's in Massachusetts. And he's not familiar with the area. But there's an APB.
Starting point is 00:23:11 Five-year-old autistic girl goes missing. He's like, man, I got to put down the tools. I got to go looking. And he just goes, walking. He finds this trail, walks down this trail, sees a diaper in the stream, he's like, Hmm. Follows the diaper in a stream? Yes. Because the autistic girl, I guess, where's a diaper? And so he just starts walking and he goes down the stream running and he gets to a marsh and there's
Starting point is 00:23:32 the girl in waste deep water. Wow. Crazy. What? The fact that you would leave the roof, I'm not to tell you, I get them all time. My phone's like, oh, well, I'll keep an eye out. And then I'd just go back to tweeting. The fact that he's working and went to look, it must have been really close to him, right? Because mine are sometimes like an hour and a half away. Yeah, it was in the area. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And they said it was a very rural path that no one else had gone down and he just saw it.
Starting point is 00:24:01 And it's like, hey, man, I'm going down this path and kept going and boom, there it is. Man. So fortunate for her and the family and good for him to take the time out of his day, his work day to do that. Wow, that's a great story. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. In the past 24 hours, two different people on the show have said, hey, I'm just obsessed with this certain artist, different artists. But Morgan, yours is Teddy Swims.
Starting point is 00:24:26 Yes, like I can listen to every song he puts out, and every time I'm just more amazed with his talent. Here is Teddy Swims with Megan Trainor. This is called Bad for Me. Teddy Swims is interesting because he doesn't look like a polished pop star. No, he's kind of like a post-malone, but like of all genre. Like, Zach Bryan has that where he doesn't look. look like somebody that's been put in a record label machine and spit out. And, you know, we listen to a lot of Zach Bryan at the house. But here is something in the orange from Zach
Starting point is 00:25:05 Brian. To you, I'm just a man to me. You're all I am with it. Hell. I like it when people don't look like what they're supposed to look like. When Luke Combs blew up, people are like, he doesn't look like the rest of what Nashville's putting out there. Looks more like a normal person. So I like it when artists kind of blow up before a label can get a hold of them. because then the labels can't really change him. I always like that. Eddie White, right now, what are you obsessed with? Well, thanks to you.
Starting point is 00:25:31 I'm on the Ben Rector train. I mean, this whole new album that he has is so, so good. I listened to it nonstop. Then I was watching the All-Star game the other day, and it was like Ben Rector's on. I feel like everywhere I go, there's Ben Rector. So I don't know even though he's... Was he there?
Starting point is 00:25:45 No, no. They were playing his music, like going to commercial break. I don't know if he's big or famous or what, but he's been in the studio, and I feel like he's everywhere. Grocery store, everywhere. This is Steady Love from Ben Rector. He's played this song in here too.
Starting point is 00:26:12 Yeah. It's on repeat in my house. He was like, hey, play this one. He's got one song at the end of his album where he thanks people, all of his friends and stuff. I called him. I don't know if I said this on the air, but I was like, hey, man, will you do that song where you thank all your family and stuff at the very end? Because it's like 20 people. It's like at the end of a book when you write all your thank you lines.
Starting point is 00:26:28 You're like, hey, I want to thank. But he does a whole song at the end. He goes, hey, I just want to thank people. They help me with this record. And he thought I was serious. So he started trying to remember all the people in order. And then I was like, dude, I'm totally blank. No one's ever asked him that.
Starting point is 00:26:39 He was like, oh, good. So, all right. Scoba Steve, who, I think this is where this segment started. Is you constantly talking about Cody Johnson? Oh, Eddie told you that? Yes, that's where this started. So what's the deal here? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:26:52 I just think I've always had a crush on Kenny Chesney as a country artist. Like, when I say that I mean like the music, island vibe. I'm from Florida originally. I lived in California. I like that kind of style. But recently, man, I just love the heck out of Cody Johnson. There's something about his vocals, the way he says.
Starting point is 00:27:06 He has that old school country sound from the 90s. I just love till you can't. Anything he does, I'm all about it. So Eddie, he's all the time, Cody Johnson. Yes, and I think Cody's doing some, like, in-town label thing. He's emailed me twice. Are you going? Do you want to go?
Starting point is 00:27:19 Scuba Steve has. Yeah. Not Cody Johnson. No, Scuba. Okay. Are you going? Yeah, are you going to go? What's up?
Starting point is 00:27:28 No. Who, me? No, no, no, no. Are you going, scuba? It's during the week. I'll try, but I don't know if I can make it. Are you listening to more than just that song? You listen to all Cody Johnson all the time?
Starting point is 00:27:36 A newer song because we're trying to book him for the show, Human, I believe. I don't know if it's out yet, but I've heard that one. He played that at I Heart Country Festival. That's maybe where I first heard it. Yeah, that's another really good song, too. Is that where you fell in love? I think I fell in love when I saw him on stage
Starting point is 00:27:48 with those thick calves just sing away. Yeah, I mean, he has a really good live. Like, he's really, really good live. I mean, even for me to watch him live, I was like, yeah, he's like a really great singer. He's very powerful. I'm not saying he's of the guard. Scoobah keeps going to, like, the power.
Starting point is 00:28:04 He likes the power. You always need a next garth, and I feel like he could fill those shoes. I don't know there'll ever be another garth because the times are different and that allow. I think if anything, Luke Combs is probably the closest thing that we have seen to a meteoric rise in popularity and then also just staying there. But yeah, Cody Johnson is awesome. I agree with that. But I looked at just what I've been listening to a whole lot. Jillian Jacqueline, here you go.
Starting point is 00:28:30 This is iconic from Jillian Jacqueline. I like my song's sad, and I like him slow and sad. And she does a lot of slow, sad songs. And I will just sit on an album anymore. You know, I'm not always searching for music like I used to. So right now, this is the album. Here's Jillian Jacqueline. Compliment.
Starting point is 00:28:50 I should say thank you. I should be glad that we're talking. I should be counting every one you're told. With music now, I'm almost to the point of I just don't want to be bothered while listening to something, meaning like TV shows when I go to sleep, I kind of already want to know it. so it doesn't, I'm not trying to figure it out. I just want to listen to something I'm comfortable. I want to listen to stuff that I already know the words to,
Starting point is 00:29:16 or I know how it's going to make me feel. I'm not trying to experiment as much anymore. Every once in a while I get a wild hair and I'll go traveling down that road and be like, all right, let me see what's good. And then I'm like, oh, nothing. And then I go back to what I already am good with and comfortable with.
Starting point is 00:29:31 Amy. Ingrid Andres with Sam Hunt, Wishville Drinking. So this is a song, just a song? Oh, yeah. Well, I mean, I love it. being grid and dress but this is this is a song that yes I'm listening to on Reiki lunch bucks you haven't seen Sam Hunt walking around lately have you? Huh no no no no no no no no no no I can't say anything
Starting point is 00:30:06 what do you mean you can't say anything I've seen other people walking around what huh you asked me if I've seen Sam Hunt walking around lately I said no but you've seen other people walking around like other famous people I would assume you've seen a lot. Like, have you seen that again? I'm seeing part of it. What is he? Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:30:29 This is like Ray with his envelope when he's got a secret. You know what I'm saying, Amy? I know what you're saying. Yeah, thank you. Amy knows. He has seen Sam's other half. Walking around?
Starting point is 00:30:41 Yeah. Cool. Okay. Then say I've seen Sam's wife walking around. Seeing the baby. Okay. I didn't know if I was allowed to say that I've seen the baby.
Starting point is 00:30:49 Well, we know the baby exists. I know, but not a lot of people seen the baby. I've had eyes. Okay, yes. If you took a picture of the baby, I'm going to be mad. Did you take a picture of the baby? No comment. You didn't take a picture of the baby.
Starting point is 00:31:02 Let's just say that it's... No, no, no, let's just say. Okay, we're out of here. Listen. Go ahead. Go ahead. Real quick. Let's just say that the baby was at a park.
Starting point is 00:31:10 Okay, I'm done. Laying on a blanket. So I may have took the kids for a walk and let it walk by the baby a couple times. And try to start a conversation. Let it. You tried to start a conversation with Sam Hunt's wife or the baby? The wife. And that didn't work?
Starting point is 00:31:26 No. What in the world did you say? How did this segment get so awkward all of a sudden? Okay. I just was walking. I was like, oh, that's Sam Hunt's baby. Let's go check it out. You said that's Sam Hunt's baby.
Starting point is 00:31:38 Let's go check it out. Did you say that to your kids? Or did you say it in your own head? In my head. Okay, go ahead. In my head. And so we went to the park and we saw the baby on the blanket and I went by, oh, I was going.
Starting point is 00:31:50 You know, you start with one, at least this and, oh, okay. So you said it starts with one. I don't even know what you just said. Because I have all three of my kids with me. And they have starts with one. Yeah, you start with one because they had the one, she had the one man. What did you want her to do? Be like, oh, you know, it's exciting.
Starting point is 00:32:05 That's crazy. You know, and then I don't know. We kind of go into it. Go into it? There's like conversation. Like, how's it going? How's it? I don't know it.
Starting point is 00:32:14 I'm just going to play Cody Johnson. What's going on? I was like, bro, that's a million bucks.
Starting point is 00:35:26 And then I said, what's your budget for your wedding? And he goes, well, like two million. And I was like, what? And then he said, but he had some money passed down to you. Is that right, Josh? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So my dad was a professional poker player, a Texas Holden player, and her grandparents actually worked on Wall Street. That's kind of where everything trickled down from. And you're not messing with that. I don't care how much you have.
Starting point is 00:35:54 I think this is a fun segment to talk about anyway, but you're not messing with us. Like, you're really thinking about hiring somebody, like a real-life artist, to play your wedding. So I've listened to Eric Church since 2007, actually, when he came out with sinners like me, and then I followed him, and everything like that.
Starting point is 00:36:12 And my fiance actually likes Tyler Childress and Craig Morgan. So we actually just have a three-month-year-old, and she saw the video of Tim McGraw doing my little girl at a wedding. So that's kind of where
Starting point is 00:36:28 she got the idea, and we just think that it'd be really cool to have someone. Okay. I'm going to read you the three that you mentioned, that are according to what you were willing to spend, they're probably low out of reach, but Eric Church, about 1.5 million to do a wedding. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:47 That's significant. So, no, that Tyler Childers, about half a million bucks, according to this site. And then Tim McGraw, $1 million. So I looked those three up just to see. I'll say this, though, I don't know how accurate this is because they have me by myself for $149,000. What? Yeah, why not?
Starting point is 00:37:06 I'll do it. And they have Bobby Bones and Raging Idiots for 175. $5,000. Oh, wow. So, Eddie, your edition is worth $26,000. Let's go. Hey, I can just do it for $26,000, too. So, and I never have spoken to a single person about this. I didn't give them this information. So I don't know where it comes from, so know that. But I have found some artists for you under $200,000, okay? So if you have $200,000 bucks to spend, and you just tell me on a number scale of one to five, meaning that sounds awesome or one meaning, nah, probably not for me, okay? Okay.
Starting point is 00:37:38 Billy Carrington Three Okay All right Billy Carrington Probably getting up For 200 grand According to the site
Starting point is 00:37:46 It's not bad He's a lot of hits That you'd forget Yeah You knew Martina McBride About the same price Probably four
Starting point is 00:37:55 Oh wow That one got them thinking About 200,000 bucks Get Martina McBride That would be awesome Brothers Osborne About 200,000 bucks Uh two
Starting point is 00:38:05 Oh man I love that brother Zosborn Yeah To rock it out John Party Might have a little dirt on my food. Just because he's newer, I'd go with a free. Okay.
Starting point is 00:38:16 I'm offended. I mean, he's got some hits. All right. How about Scotty McCreary? Damn straight. I'm going to go with another three. Okay, so so far we've only got one that's a four. It's Martina McBride.
Starting point is 00:38:30 Okay, how about Travis Tritt? I'm definitely going with a four just because, you know, he's kind of local and he's a always played in Virginia and man he he rocks the house when he comes. You could probably get him for $200,000 bucks. Wow. Wow. Yeah, okay. So here's, I feel like he likes classic country, like
Starting point is 00:38:51 90s country so far. He's got Martina and Travis Trit as only fours. How about Lauren Elena? You could probably get Lauren and like Rhett Aiken's both. Not together in the same band, but, you know, they're both about $100,000. I would do Lauren
Starting point is 00:39:08 Alainna. and Red Ackon, probably about two. You gave someone a zero. Did you have to give a zero? That's not necessary. I mean, you could have just said one. You could have just said one. You know? No offense. No, fair.
Starting point is 00:39:19 You didn't have to go zero. All right. So I'll read you some more real quick. Billy Ray Cyrus, Kip Moore, Clay Walker, Ryan Hurd, Sarah Evans. Any of those stick out to you? I feel like Clay Walker is a little, I would, you know, I know your friends with Craig Morgan,
Starting point is 00:39:38 so maybe about a friend hook. up. You know, I can text Craig Morgan. Oh, wow. Just ask him how much? Yeah. Hold on. Yeah, I'm good friends of Craig Morgan. Let's see, Craig. I wonder if he has that rate just like at the top of his head.
Starting point is 00:39:53 Absolutely, here it is. Hold on one second. I'm going to leave a voice memo. Hey, buddy. It's Bobby Bones here. We're talking about artists playing weddings. If somebody random was trying to hire you to play a wedding in Virginia, let's say. Like what
Starting point is 00:40:10 would you make them pay to play a wedding? Let me know. Talk to you soon. Bye. Also, you can say, you can tell me privately and then I won't share. But I'm just curious what you would charge somebody to play a wedding. I'm already married,
Starting point is 00:40:27 Amy. All right, bye. All right. I mean, it would... Hold on. Hold on. It would be awesome. I don't know if you guys remember a long time ago, but Craig Morgan played my kind of woman on your guys' show, and he just he brought you know he it was his A game and I would love for that to be like the wedding song okay well let's see what he says um he may respond in the next few minutes he may not we may have
Starting point is 00:40:51 to grab him for another day but I just gave you a list of people under 200 thousand 200 or lower I'm not sure that all that's accurate I would think honestly brothers osborne be a little more than that yeah maybe they're on clearance right now they got a week they go on I don't know but that's the situation so Josh here's the deal I'm going to let you go now we've shared some information here. None of them sound like to you you want to spend that kind of money on them. But I have reached out to Craig Morgan and we'll see what his rate is. And who knows, maybe we can make a love connection. That'd be awesome. How much do you have, honestly? How much do you have to spend? What is your budget for a musical performer at your wedding? Musical performance, it would honestly be so... For Craig Morgan. How much would you pay Craig Morgan?
Starting point is 00:41:33 Craig Morgan, I would definitely do 3,500. 35K,000? 35K, I'm sorry, 35K. 350K. No, 350K. You ain't going to get him for 35,000. No, no, no, no, no, no, 3500K.
Starting point is 00:41:51 Okay, we're struggling with numbers this morning. Listen, it's early, I get it. So you're saying 350... Well, let him say it because I'm... How much are you saying? Speak to me here, Josh. How much? 350,000.
Starting point is 00:42:04 Okay. Okay. There you go. He inherited the money, most. It's still money. Money still spent. He can't count it because he has so much. Okay.
Starting point is 00:42:12 Josh, we will talk to you soon. And I will let you know what's up with Craig Morgan as soon as he responds, okay? Wow, awesome. I appreciate it. All right, buddy. We have your number. I will be in touch. All right.
Starting point is 00:42:24 All right. I get 2%. All right. See you, buddy. For lining it up. All right, there he is. Josh and Virginia. How do we feel about that?
Starting point is 00:42:31 I'm a little concerned about the whole number thing, but he's probably just nervous. He didn't know how to say $350,000. Or that he couldn't actually... I know. I don't know, man. He started with $3,500 and then went to $35,000, and then we're like, he's still not there, buddy. He said $3,500,000. He said $3,500 first, and then $3,500.
Starting point is 00:42:53 I don't know what's happening. Austin, who lives in Kansas, is on the phone right now. Austin, what's up, buddy? Hey, morning video. Morning. So I was calling in, me and my family, we're all big fans. We like watching the, like listening to the show and everything. And my dad and I got to talking, and we heard that Lunchbox went on to Jerry Springer and basically kind of faked it.
Starting point is 00:43:16 And I was just kind of wanting to know a little bit of that. All right, here is from Lunchbox 30 seconds on his Jerry Springer story from the year of. It was 1998, the fall of 1998. And go. It was my sister's best friend, Kamika and I. went on as a dating couple for two and a half years. Then Jennifer and Derek, they were our best friends and they'd been dating for two years. But Kamika and Derek were taking us on the show to tell us that they've been cheating on us with each other for a year and a half. So the two couples,
Starting point is 00:43:48 because all the names are kind of confusing, even to me this far, one from each couple. Was cheating on, yeah, they were, they were cheating with each other. And the whole thing was a lie. Lie. Lie. They lied to go on. Yeah. But Jerry Springer didn't know that. No, no, they make you sign a contract saying if they find out your line, they can sue you up to $250,000. When did that expire? Well, I was only 17, so I couldn't sign a legal document anyway. Oh, was it illegal for you to sign it as an adult? No, no, I wasn't an adult.
Starting point is 00:44:12 I know, but you did sign it as well. I just signed it. I mean, it's not legally binding. I'm kicking the door now. Yeah, he did go on. It's hilarious. He looks 12, and he's acting like he's in some romance has gone wrong. My father said it should be on YouTube.
Starting point is 00:44:28 Is that correct? It is on YouTube, yes. I might have to take the look at that. Don't might. Yeah, you might want to Google Scandalous Affairs, Jerry Springer. Do yourself a favor. Yeah, dude. Yeah, dude.
Starting point is 00:44:40 All right, Austin, appreciate that call. Hey, you have a good one. Yeah, you too, buddy. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So it's really hot this summer, and it turns out that drinking a really cold drink or maybe even eating ice cream could make you even hotter in the long run. Like, it'll give you a little bit of a cool-down situation. I like that a little bit, yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:00 That's good. But then you start digesting it, which creates energy and heat, which makes your body temperature go up. Too much chemistry. I'm out. If you want to stay hydrated, experts are saying eat cucumbers and melons and things like that that that are high in water content that'll keep your body hydrated. Experts say be fru-frew. That's what I hear. Who's going to be able to grab a cute?
Starting point is 00:45:21 I'm so thirsty. We hand me a cucumber. No, that's not happening. Throwing in your salads. I think the easier way would be drink room temperature water. Yes. But I don't like that. That cools you down?
Starting point is 00:45:32 I think what it does long term is better for your body. What cools me down is a freezing cold water. Yeah. Going down is like it kind of burns a little bit. Until you start digesting it. You know, another easier way that I saw, just a headline. If you're really, really hot, go commando. Well, I do that when I'm not.
Starting point is 00:45:50 Oh. And then did you know? I can never. I dribble too much. Okay. There's also people's phones. Stop. People's phones are overheating, too, in the.
Starting point is 00:46:00 heat. And so I saw one way to combat that. They said is take your phone case off, put your battery charger on energy saver, and that'll help keep it cooler. But whatever you do, don't put it in the freezer because some people are doing that. It'll also help not to put it in direct sunlight when it's 100 degrees. Exactly. So you put in your pocket. You know, that'll help. All right, what else? A company is working on nap boxes for offices, but you have to sleep standing up. They're shaped like water heaters with a door on the front, and then there's little shelves inside that support your knees, your head, and your butt. As long as there's support, I could fall asleep.
Starting point is 00:46:33 But I'm not standing. I would just have to be tall. There's a difference in being tall and standing. Because standing, you have to use your legs to stand. Yeah. And you can't. But this will support you and kind of hold you up. I was getting a haircut last week, and I slept for the first 25 minutes of it.
Starting point is 00:46:51 Whoa. I like the girl. Sitting up? Yeah. I, sometimes. my schedule is so tight and I shouldn't keep it so tight and I'm running it all day and I get an hair cut last minute and I go in and she at this point she knows I don't talk much and I go to sleep and so I will take a 20 minute nap two out of five times I get hair cut. Wow. But the problem is I twitch sometimes and so I twitched when I was asleep and she goes, whoa.
Starting point is 00:47:20 And she like cut. So she's like cutting hair as I'm twitching. It's like an obstacle course for her. So she's like, oh, you twitching. It's hard for me to. then I'm up and it's good. But I will go to sleep sitting up. I'm that tired sometimes.
Starting point is 00:47:31 I was picturing you like at the shampoo bowl taking a nap, but you're just sitting there straight up. Oh, I sit straight up. Yeah, sure. The only time I had their sleep, when they bring that thing down on my head from my perm, that is also something. No, but I do fall asleep sitting up.
Starting point is 00:47:45 All right, what else? Marin Morris reflected this week on her American Idol audition after her mom came across the ticket from the day of her audition. It was in Irving, Texas at the Texas Stadium. And she said, wow, my mom found this ticket from 2007. I didn't make it past the first round. And it's just kind of crazy because look at her now. She said that her mom keeping this ticket is kind of the equivalent of like saving a 10th place trophy or something.
Starting point is 00:48:11 She was much younger than. Yeah. You know, and people are like, well, Mary Morris can't make American Idol. It's a lot to do with how good you are, what they're looking for. And I say this is someone who worked on the show for four years. They're all, Hillary Scott didn't make it.
