Starting point is 00:03:03 Morning studio. Morning. Amy, let's me the caffeine that you will drink before you come into the studio. Coffee. Okay. I make it at home. home. One?
Starting point is 00:03:11 Yeah, one. I have an espresso machine, so I make a latte at home. So that's what I have. It's like a double shot of espresso with some almond milk and I'm good to go. Eddie, caffeine, listen for me. Two cups. Two cups. I would say about four curig little cups.
Starting point is 00:03:27 I've gotten mostly off caffeine. I have a little drink. I think it's called like a Celsius. Yes. Got a little kiss. It's got a kick in it. Yeah, sometimes. But mostly I'm off of caffeine.
Starting point is 00:03:39 Now I asked this. because I want to relate this to something. A guy had a caffeine overdose and died. Why? How much did he have? Is that possible? Right. Some people don't know that it's possible. So a personal trainer died from a caffeine overdose after ingesting caffeine powder
Starting point is 00:03:55 that was the equivalent of up to 200 cups of coffee. Oh my gosh. It's called caffeine toxicity. He got sick from it. He miscalculated the amount of powder he was supposed to take. The recommended dose is 60 to 300 to 3.000. milligrams, but he took 2 to 5,000 grams. And so he overdosed on caffeine, which I did not know you could do.
Starting point is 00:04:16 Can you overdose on Advil? Yes. You can? Yes. You can take so much at, really? It says you should only take, I think it's like four to six per 24 hours. Tylenol. Yes.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Well, some people have to do. Gummy bear? Gummy vitamins. Yes. Well, I don't know about that. I don't know, man. Flintstone vitamins, not sure. But I think you can overdose on anything.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Mike, what do you say? Adville's website says you can't overdose on Advil. Maybe you get sick, but you don't die of it. Okay, so you're telling me if I take a whole bottle of Advil right now, I'm fine. Is it their website you're seeing this on? Yeah. Okay. So yes, that's what they're saying.
Starting point is 00:04:51 Well, I don't believe that. Let's not try it, guys. No, I don't know. I'm just curious about this, and I didn't know you could have too much caffeine. That is a wild story right there. But we just said, what, two, four cups of it? Oh, you guys are good. Yeah, we're good.
Starting point is 00:05:03 No, no. He had the powder. Wow. But the powder was that. And why would you drink caffeine powder? Pre-workout maybe? Probably. Some sort of a concoction.
Starting point is 00:05:16 Well, I saw that and a little PSA here. Be careful. Don't have that much. Also, now I'm baffled by Advil saying you can't. You can just take as much avills you want? I don't think that's what they're saying. Well, okay. You're saying you can't.
Starting point is 00:05:30 I don't know what to do here. Hey, Ray Mundo, what's the deal? What's happening with this Saturday? Strawberry Fest? Yeah, are you going to go stay with that? Let's go. Okay, what's the update? Are you going to go stay in the rich guy's house that he offered it to you randomly?
Starting point is 00:05:45 Talk to my wife. She wants to go. She's in. It's a $700 flight. For both of you? For both of you. Well, I got a companion pass. So it's just one flight.
Starting point is 00:05:55 Okay. And then she goes, who he's staying with. And I said, random guy. And she goes, no. Which can be overcome. As long as I proved that he's a decent guy and I know him a little bit, which I need to probably get to know him a little bit better. On yesterday's show, Ray told us there's a rich guy in Tampa.
Starting point is 00:06:10 They said, hey, just come stay at the house with me. And I live on the beach. And we're going to go to Strawberry Festival. Eddie and I are playing Saturday right outside of Tampa at Strawberry Festival. Come on out. Raging Idiots.com. But do you feel like you're going to stay at his house? I wanted to say, yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:25 I'm still kind of waiting to hear back from him after the bit. You know, it went down and everything. So I'm just curious, his feelings, you know, hey, it's still going down. I just need a little bit of confirmation. Won't you hit him up? I did. Okay. Still white noise.
Starting point is 00:06:36 No, no, no, no, Amy looked him up. Yeah, I googled him, did a quick search, read a little bit about him, looks like a nice guy, seems like he does well for himself. Yeah! You know, and I say that because, you know, having a successful business, you've got to be somewhat normal-ish. But on his website, it was asked like, you know, your favorite quote, and it was from you, Bobby, and it was fight, grind, repeat. Well, now I want to stay with him. Yeah! And I love them, too.
Starting point is 00:07:05 So Ray, I co-signed. Okay, cool. That's funny, though. Good. That's good. And now I'm reaching out to Ray. Hope it doesn't turn to, like, superfan, but I don't think it will. I like him.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Great attitude. Great company. Don't even know what it is, but I support it. What does he do? I want to make sure he's not a bad thing. Dugout mugs. It's beer mugs for guys. Like, they look like baseball bats.
Starting point is 00:07:24 Oh, okay. Like girls can't? No girls allowed? Dang. All right. Come on out if you're in Tampa. We're going to be out there Saturday. Maybe Ray will be there with his buddy.
Starting point is 00:07:34 Yeah. The rich guy. Yep, drinking out of beer mugs. This is a good one. Let's go open the mailbag. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:47 Hello, Bobby Bones. I have a big problem. I need some advice. Yesterday I was driving to the gym. I was doing only about 30 miles per hour when a really hot girl who was jogging on the side of the road in a sports bra and shorts came by. When I looked over at her, I drove my car into a telephone pole
Starting point is 00:08:07 No way hilarious The car runs But the front is destroyed I told my wife that a dog ran out Why uh You don't want to tell the truth about that one
Starting point is 00:08:21 No chance I told my wife that a dog ran out And I crashed into the pole But she's now asking me a million questions Because she wants to know why I didn't call the police About the accident I told her it was me hitting a pole but she insists I should have called the cops
Starting point is 00:08:36 it's going to be a two grand to fix the car and she wants to know why I'm not going through insurance if it was an accident the truth is I'm embarrassed to go through insurance and don't want my premiums to go out for such a dumb mistake what is your advice should I tell my wife signed not husband of the year you won't nothing good will happen
Starting point is 00:08:54 if you tell her the truth correct it could have been a dog or a moose or an attractive woman or a spaceship yeah it was something that made you crash into that poll, nothing's going to change. You're insured, nothing's going to change. You've got to decide if the money meets a deductible, if you're going to pay, if you want to, all that's the same.
Starting point is 00:09:17 It just matters if you need to tell her based on your internal struggle. If you're conscious is punching you over and it's never going to stop, then yes. If not, this is a no-win situation. because you tell her she gets mad there was no need for her to get mad you don't tell her your car's still messed up you just don't want a double loss and that's your car be a messed up and she'd be mad I would say there is no reason to let her know this what what if she's like oh okay I'm just thankful you're all right and she doesn't get mad nah what if she's just thankful he's okay but it could have been a dog but it wasn't a dog but there's no reason for
Starting point is 00:10:00 him to say this okay this truth Whenever people email in anonymously with like lots of details. Same. I'm like, I hope their wife doesn't listen because you just told her. And I hope it was like a stop sign in a truck. Like he switched things up. Right.
Starting point is 00:10:12 And it wasn't $2,000. It's, you know, $3,700 or something different where you're not giving away all the details. But yeah, good luck with that. And what did we learn from this? Keep rising road. I don't know. That's right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:25 Don't look at girls running in shorts while you're driving. The sports barred thing is what did it. Whatever. Or whatever. Well, what is your... Because I don't think that it's him lying to hide something. I think it's him lying because there's no benefit. Why make her upset when it's not...
Starting point is 00:10:42 There's no reason to. I know, but what if, like, it's not like he was doing... I mean, he was distracted by her. Like, what good can come of him saying what really happened? I guess just like, yeah, I don't know. But I don't... I guess he knows the dynamic of their relationship. So clearly he doesn't want to go there
Starting point is 00:10:59 because she might get upset. But there are some women that might be like, oh my gosh, what a crazy story. I'm so glad you're okay. Stop looking at women while you drive. I got a feeling that's not his wife. Based on the email and not his wife. I mean, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:11:13 I just give her the opportunity. I mean, and then... To do what? To decide how she feels about it. Yeah, yeah. She's already felt it. It's not good. There is no benefit for this guy here to tell her.
Starting point is 00:11:24 Okay. Eddie? It's his story. I mean, he's already made up the story. Stick with it. There's no reason. to go in the details. It was a hot girl.
Starting point is 00:11:31 Like things aren't going to get worse. No, nothing's going to change from it. Only she's going to get upset. I'm doing it for her. Save her from getting upset. Totally. Okay. I feel too, it's like,
Starting point is 00:11:39 why is she trying to get all these different details? She doubt him? Why is she pushing him? Was she behind him secretly following? Because he doesn't believe him because he's like, oh, oh, oh. I hit a dog. I think.
Starting point is 00:11:47 He stuttered telling the story. Yeah, you made that up. Yeah, of course. I'm making it up. Because like, I think she probably is like, come on, she may know. And she's just like, come on. I just wish she would just tell me.
Starting point is 00:11:59 It's that girl that jogs around the neighborhood, isn't it? Maybe she hired the girl a jog. Yeah. It was a plant. Lunchbox. Look, there's no point in telling her. You're not going to get any benefit out of telling her. And the insurance, you can lie to them if you're going to call the insurance.
Starting point is 00:12:11 Just tell me it was a dog. They can't prove it wasn't a dog. They can't. There's no video evidence. So just say it was a dog. They're not going to see the lady. I love how all three guys are saying the same thing. And if for some reason, they do find video evidence.
Starting point is 00:12:20 They'll be like, I get it. Amy, if it were the opposite. If it were you driving in like a shirtless, Jake Owen or Ryan Reynolds is running through. I feel like, I feel like you're not going to believe what happened. Oh my gosh. But I would tell you the same thing. If you knew your husband was going to get upset and there was no, I would be like, there's no need to tell them.
Starting point is 00:12:38 It's not about guy girl to me or girl guy. It's just like, there's no need to tell him. Unless internally. He's exploding in there. It's screaming. Yes, then you should. Okay, that's the mailbag. We've got your email and we read it on your air. Now it's found to close Bobby's mailbag.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Question is, did Eddie take it too far with his kids? Yeah, four kids, four boys. What happened? Well, yeah, I think I might have taken it too far. You're already telling you to take it too far? Let us be the judge. I just feel like I did. So we were at the furniture store, right?
Starting point is 00:13:16 We're looking for a couch. And my wife and I needed some time. We took all the kids, but we needed some time to look around. So we gave them an iPad, some Nintendo Switch and stuff like that. I'm like, pick a comfy couch, sit there while we go look around. So they sat there. They were very good. and they sat there.
Starting point is 00:13:31 So we made our rounds around the entire furniture place. And when we came back, they weren't there anymore. And one of the kids had left the iPad sitting there on the couch, right by the front door. So I go, oh, my gosh. Like, what are they thinking? So I get the iPad and I take it to the car and hide it, knowing that one of them is going to come back and freak out. Like, oh, my gosh, I forgot the iPad. Somebody stole it.
Starting point is 00:13:52 And that's exactly what happened. When it was time to leave, they go, oh, hold on, dad. Let me get the iPad. I let them do it. And they go and they look. and we all go to the car and we let were you the only one that knew i'm the only one that knew and i let him kind of i watched him through the window look through all the couches take all the cushions off next thing you know it's like 10 minutes and he's still going around the whole store and the
Starting point is 00:14:12 entire store is helping him look for it that's when i realized i may have taken it too far because you have employees salespeople in there taking stuff out of the couch as well and my wife goes okay you should probably go tell him now and then i eventually did when did you tell your wife though when did she get clued in? When we got in the car. I said, I have it. It's in the backseat. She goes, oh my gosh, go tell him. Like, no, no, no, I want him to kind of learn. Guys, I don't know any other way to do this now. Like, these are learning moments. I felt like this was a perfect chance to let him panic, freak out so he knows how important
Starting point is 00:14:44 it is to take care of something valuable like that. Amy, your eyes got big. No, I don't know. I'm trying to think. Like, I kids need to learn. And that will probably That's good trauma if you ask me. Right. But also at the same time, It's not like Eddie, it's an iPad. And so I'm sure that's important to the kid, but it's not like Eddie, you know, the kid was missing from his family or something. And Eddie drove off and left him and like, learn his lesson.
Starting point is 00:15:09 No, I wouldn't do that. I wouldn't do that. Yeah. So, like, I think that it's okay. I mean, you knew when enough was enough because it was wasting other people's time. Like, that's the part. But, I mean, I set a timer.
Starting point is 00:15:21 I had to go run an errand and my 14-year-old was home. And I set a timer on the Alexa because I had something in the oven. and I'm like, you have to listen for the timer because the oven's going to go off. Well, a couple things happened and I got distracted and I was still there and I thought, you know what, I'm going to stay. And so I stayed to see if she would come down when Alexa went off to get the stuff out of the oven. She never did. So I had to get the stuff out of the oven.
Starting point is 00:15:43 And then I sat there. I kept Alexa going off. The timer was still going off. And I sat there and waited like five, ten minutes. And I'm like, she's going to come down. She's going to come down. Things would be burning right now. If I had not.
Starting point is 00:15:54 So I was doing that like, and I went up and she had. friends over and I like created this whole scenario and that now our house is burned down and the food is burnt and then because I see you went house before food but I interesting well the food burn interesting ladder to climb okay I know I just went on this whole thing but like if I had the like similarly like something I wish that I would have kept the food in there and let it burn just to show her because I needed more of a kids have to learn and I needed that example and that could be traumatic of the time I let the house just burned. You did actually let the house burn. I didn't because I rescued her. I came in and I did it and I did it for her but I'm with
Starting point is 00:16:34 Eddie like no I mean when you were a kid one of your friends tried to burn your house down. Oh that is true when my mom was out of town. I was told not to have a party yeah and he was smoking and he threw a cigarette and it was a hot Texas day oh boy yeah so anyway I I support what I did I don't think it's too crazy it's not anything too bad I also support what you did You do? Yeah, because there wasn't a loser. In the end, the iPad was still there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:58 He will remember that because at times in your life where this happens, and I'll just make a sound, and you guys will all know the feeling. You know that feeling? Like, oh, God, where is it? Oh, oh, oh. You remember those. Like, those are things that, it's like a notch. You know, the old thing that is like a notch in a bedpost.
Starting point is 00:17:15 That's like a little notch in the brain. Yeah. Those moments where it's like, and it just, well, okay, that's a memory that you will have. Good or bad. And so I know you think it was over. I don't think it was over. I thought it was pretty good. I think when the whole store, the employee started going in on it and helping look for it.
Starting point is 00:17:30 It made him freak out even more probably. Yeah, I mean, that probably embarrassed him a little bit more, which then could help with it. Again, none of us. I think if you had thrown the iPad away and does act like it was stolen, I think that'd have been over the line. Oh, yeah. No, I didn't even think about doing that. Or sold it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:44 That's overla. But I think that's okay. Okay, good. Yeah. I think that's a, I think you did good. As all, you do have some odd punishments. Yeah. I'm just running out of.
Starting point is 00:17:52 creativity here. Like when something like that happens, I don't know what to do. I'm just going to watch him figure it out. Did you let your kids sit on a couch that was being sold or one that you sit in when you get there? No, the one that's being sold is right in the very front. Very nice. Comfortable. That's what I heard too. It was a little weird. You're like, I told them to pick any couch. Like they have couches where you're supposed to sit like and just wait.
Starting point is 00:18:10 Hey, it was a sectional, you know? So it was like big enough for all four kids. They all just sat there. I'm guessing they didn't sell one of those while you guys were. Probably not. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. The NFL draft is coming up, Amy, and so they just had the combine, which is where everybody goes, and they run fast, and they jump high, and you just measure them based on what they can do as an athlete. You've been watching tape and games all year, but now they all get together.
Starting point is 00:18:47 Well, one of the quarterbacks, the one who could possibly go first, the first quarterback off the board, his name is Malik Willis. He plays for Liberty University, and following his workout in the combine, he would. was captured on video, posted by a Twitter user, giving some clothing from his bag of the gear to a homeless woman outside the Indianapolis Convention Center. Oh. He was leaving and he saw her sitting on the sidewalk with her son and realized they were homeless. He had no cash on him, but he did have some shirts. And he did not know when he was watching. And this was a great story and it came out.
Starting point is 00:19:19 What's funny was, then other people started doing this. Yeah. And it was so obviously fake. They're like, hey, video me real quick. It was so And I'm not going to call anybody out But yes, there were a couple players that had A remarkably similar thing that happened to them
Starting point is 00:19:37 Right after this And it would be like, oh, look at this And you look at the Twitter account And the person that runs a Twitter account's like somebody Orks in sports marketing Who posted it That's awesome though I like this one
Starting point is 00:19:49 I think I like the other ones too Because someone was still benefiting Even though they were doing it for show I don't think you move up The draft board though You don't I don't think so I think they want leadership like that on a team.
Starting point is 00:20:01 I think it doesn't hurt. Yeah. Yeah. But I think that you probably don't, you know, go to number one. True. Based on your heart. If the team needs a defensive tackle. Like, based on the heart, I'd be in the NFL.
Starting point is 00:20:14 But instead, not even close. Shout out, Malik Willis. Loved it. And that's what's up. He can throw a football in the air like 75 yards, no problem. Wow. Isn't that wild? Is that even a thing to you?
Starting point is 00:20:24 Well, a football field is 100 yards. And you could probably just chunk it high. That's pretty impressive to throw it three quarters of the way. How far do you think you could throw a football? I have pretty good arm. Yeah, you do. I'm not going to lie. But I have no idea I've never measured it.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Like a light post to light post, is that far? That's not a... How far are those? That's not a distance. Light post to light post. It varies. Okay, well, in my neighborhood growing up, the light posts are all equally different. That was universal.
Starting point is 00:20:54 No, but I asked you on a football field. I know, but I don't know the distance. Ten yards is one first down. I could do it down, yeah. Okay, well, I like it, and I believe you, and we're just going to move on now. Okay. All right, there you go.
Starting point is 00:21:05 That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. All right, Bobby Bone Show trivia, and we have Allison, who lives in Idaho on the phone right now. Morning studio. Morning. All right, so Allison's on.
Starting point is 00:21:19 Amy, I'm going to give you a sample question. Okay. All these trivia questions will be about this show. Okay, we'll see how well. Allison, do you feel like you know the show pretty well? Yes, I was telling Abby, I'm a little nervous because either I'm not going to do good and I'm going to lose or I'm going to do really good like I anticipate and I'm going to look like a really lame 26-year-old that knows way too much about these people that I've never met. I'm rooting for number two. Yeah, and it's not lame.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Amy, I'm going to ask you a sample question. Okay. Bobby has two dogs, Stanley and Eller. They were each named after characters in what shows or movies. Okay, Stanley is from the office, and Eller is from Oklahoma. The musical. The musical, yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:02 You'd have got a point there. Yeah. That's a tough one, though. Would you have known that, Allison? Yes. Wow, okay, then she's going to do great. Come on. All right, you just got to get five out of seven, okay?
Starting point is 00:22:12 Okay. Question number one. What town did I, Bobby, grow up in? Mountain Pine Arkansas. That's correct. Let's get rid of. She's one. She's nailing them.
Starting point is 00:22:23 She's nailing them. All right. Good job. In addition to having a dog and a cat, Amy has what other animal as a pet? A fish. Wow, that's correct. Come on. Good job, good job.
Starting point is 00:22:36 And the fish is still? Alive. Are you sure? I think so. I think my daughter would have told me by now. There's always hesitation. Will you just check? We're putting an official request to check if it's alive.
Starting point is 00:22:47 Yep. All right, number three. What's the name of my TV show on Disney Plus? Breaking Bobby Bones That is good Three there What member of the show is from Michigan I'm gonna say Ramundo
Starting point is 00:23:10 Why do you think it's Ramundo Because I remember Him saying he was like a Western guy But he really wasn't He was from Michigan And everybody laughed at him I'm pretty sure it was Ramundo Yeah he's like I'm an L.A. guy
Starting point is 00:23:25 And we're like but Bray you grew up And he's like yeah Michigan I know Small Town Michigan Ramundo is correct Nice job she got another one Okay Okay I mean, she's nailed four.
Starting point is 00:23:35 One more and she wins it. What's the name of the movie that I was in back in 2009? I had eight lines, and the movie starred Vanessa Hudgens and Lisa Kudrow. Oh, no. I honestly have no idea. That's a tough one. Yeah, that's incorrect. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:01 That's called Band Slam. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, you just got to get one of the next two right. Okay. What is the name of my kids' book that comes out on June 14th? Oh, oh, no. I even know, like, what it's about. What's it about?
Starting point is 00:24:23 Talk it out. It's about, like, family looks different, but he is just, you know, he's just the normal dog, like, everybody else. Oh, I'm not a true fan. Hold on, you haven't lost yet. Your answer is incorrect, but yeah. You're right. It's called Stanley the dog the first day of school. And he does go to school. Would Stanley the dog just have counted?
Starting point is 00:24:49 No. No. And then he's different than the other kids and other dogs. And so it's like finding your worth. And how everybody has massive worth, even though they do look different. Everybody looks different. I need to read that. All right. Last question for all the marbles, Allison.
Starting point is 00:25:07 Okay. What is lunchboxes alias for when he does prank calls, but it's the alias where he's the businessman making business deals trying to get that money. Trying to get that money. It is Nico Jackson. Oh, that's the wrong alias. Okay, hold on, let her, she didn't know the other alias. That's the wrong alias.
Starting point is 00:25:28 That's the wrong alias. That's the wrong. Nico Jackson is. Nico, did she get that right? No, ma'am, you did not get that right. Yeah, he did it. Okay, but we're going to get, hey, bonus guess. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:41 Who's the other alias he has? who says this right here. Businessman making business deals trying to get that money. I thought that was Nico. No, Nica talks like this. I'm sorry. It's been his thing for years.
Starting point is 00:26:00 He even books restaurant reservations in this name. Like 16 years. He's been using this name. 17. Wait, okay. So it's his other alias. It's actually his oldest alias. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:14 It's the one he's used more than anything else. Lunchbox has an alien. I want you to get it, but I can't give you the prize if you don't get it. That's what stinks. I know. Um, he calls places trying to buy, uh, you know, apartment buildings, houses, and he's always this guy. Oh, no. She started out so long. Dang it. I'm so sorry. I only have Nico in my mind. Okay. I can't give it to you, but I'm going to give you a huge hint. Jason Blank. Jason Gibble. I know. She knew it. Why don't we give her a lower prize, the crap from the back. How about that? That we'll still give her a prize.
Starting point is 00:26:50 Okay. Okay. Still a good price. Scoob, what can we give her a crap from the back? Crap from the back? We have a Morgan Wade hat. I love Morgan Wade, good. She's great. Reminiscent DVD. I've seen this as a great movie. Okay. And then a blank slate game that we'll all sign for her. And I'll send her a beanie baby for my personal collection.
Starting point is 00:27:06 All right, Allison, we'll give you the runner-up prize, crap from the back. Are you okay with that? Yeah, that sounds great. All right. Thank you very much. Thank you for listening to the show. We hope you have an awesome day. Stay on the line, okay? Okay. Okay. All right. Let's play. Luke Combs, beer never broke my heart. By the way, if you're in Tampa or the surrounding area,
Starting point is 00:27:25 Eddie and I will be there Saturday at Strawberry Fest. We're playing. Headline in the daytime stage. You guys come out and get tickets at raging idiots.com. On the phone is Kate in Oklahoma, who has a question for us. Hey, Kate, what's happening? I had a question. I have a friend who just sent me her wedding invitation, and she knows that I have a significant other, knows that has like even wanted to do stuff with us together before, like as couples. But when she sent me the invitation, she only sent me the invitation to myself with not a plus one.
Starting point is 00:28:00 Should I like ask her if there was like a mistake? I just thought it was really strange that I only got the one invitation. When you say significant other, do you mean husband, fiance, or boyfriend? Um, boyfriend of like six, eight months. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Okay, so let me explain to you what happened because I've been married in the past eight months or so. We had a wedding, maybe a little more than that now.
Starting point is 00:28:26 But we had this situation where if they weren't your fiance or husband, you didn't bring a boyfriend or girlfriend for the most part, unless you'd been together like five or six years. unless he should have already proposed you know in that category we didn't have boyfriends and girlfriends come and purposefully we were like you know what we only have so many so much room
Starting point is 00:28:55 we're not going to bring somebody that you know Diana's been dating for four months did you tell them that before you made that decision or did you just I think I did make it apparent maybe Morgan when I see you an invite did I say you're only getting a one yeah you just put my name because normally it'll be like Morgan but did I tell you outside of that?
Starting point is 00:29:11 You said it on air. You said it on air. Oh, I did. It was always a good way to do that. Make it a segment. Hey, Kate, I think you're just S-O-L. I think. Yeah, I thought she'd be like, oh, yeah, he's my husband of five years.
Starting point is 00:29:25 I'd be like, you need to call your friend. But now that it's a boyfriend of six to eight months and still kind of six to eight means Jell spent two months as like, are we dating? It's still very new. I would want to take him, but if they didn't put him on there, then. Purposefully, he wasn't put on there. Right. And I don't think it's a shot toward him.
Starting point is 00:29:41 think it's probably just a room situation. It's a money thing. If you do feel like you need to reach out, though, do they have somebody that's helping them plan it, a mom, or even a wedding plan or anything like that? I don't know. I mean, she's a pretty good friend. Like, I'm not in the wedding, but, like, we've stayed in contact, you know, after college and things like that.
Starting point is 00:29:58 So it just, and like I said, she's even reached out to want to do stuff together as couples before over the past several months. So it was just really odd. It caught me off guard. If you want to reach out, go for it. I have a feeling, though. I would say 85% that she purposefully was like, hey, we have to start making cuts and not just invite everybody. And if you're not married or significantly long, you're not bringing your significant other.
Starting point is 00:30:21 That's what we did. And so I would say it wasn't an accident that it was on purpose. Yeah. And I mean, if your boyfriend is up for it. Get married real quick. Get married real quick. No. No, but since it is a drive, like, is there a way he could go with you and like something he could go do and then y'all are together?
Starting point is 00:30:38 But he doesn't have to be like at the wedding. I don't know if that's weird, but it's an option. Yeah, I hadn't thought about that. That is an idea. I mean, it's just one of those things if we want to have a good time, but I'd like him to be there, like to have a good time, and then we could just stay over. But I understand where you're coming from, too,
Starting point is 00:30:55 with financial and making cuts. I think it's based on money and how much they can pay for a wedding because it is expensive, and every single person costs money. Every single person costs more money, especially if there's food. Okay, well, that's a lot of, okay, well, That's probably not the news you wanted. I still think if you feel the need to reach out, go ahead and do it. But I would say that was done inadvertently.
Starting point is 00:31:17 Yeah, like, I'm sure this is probably something she'd been stressed over. And you have to think of, like, you want to ask, then there might be other people that ask, and then it can add up real quick. So just don't add that stress to her plate. If you do, just send an email. You don't do a person. Make it feel awkward. Just email it.
Starting point is 00:31:30 All right, Kate, sorry, that's not the news you wanted, but that is how we feel about it. If you get an update, will you call us back and let us know. Sure. I will. Thank you all. Okay. Have a great day, Kate. You too.
Starting point is 00:31:40 Bye-bye. All right, here's a voicemail from Caitlin. I was calling because I had heard your segment of the young lady who wrote in about their April Fool's Day wedding. And my husband and I actually got married last year on April Fool's Day. And we did actually incorporate some pranks and stuff into our ceremony as well. So I say go for it. It's totally worth it. We had a bunch of people that were quite surprised that we did it.
Starting point is 00:32:05 But they were also surprised that we got married on April Fool's Day. So do what's right for you and have fun. with it. Thanks guys. Love the show. Most people online agreed with that too. Mostly it wasn't about the prank. It was about, well, it's you today. You can do whatever you want. If you want to dress as Renaissance people and night costumes
Starting point is 00:32:22 and have fake jousts, do that, or pranks, or it doesn't matter. It's your day. Star Wars, people like that. Yeah. Absolutely. Eddie, what are we going to say? I did get a message on Instagram. Somebody telling me, do not object while you're at the wedding because that becomes a
Starting point is 00:32:37 legal thing. So if anyone I still say go for it. Who cares? Yeah, if you're like, JK, JK, just kidding, April Fool's. Real quick. And that's in the file and you'll always remember that.
Starting point is 00:32:46 Oh, okay. Like it suddenly has to be reported to the state marriage license people. There's a fine. I don't think any of that happens. Here's one more voice mouth. I have a morning quitting for Amy.
Starting point is 00:33:00 What time is it on an elephant sits on a friend? Time's getting a new friend. Have you never heard that one? That was like a mix of a cute kid The N1 Amy's never heard. Yeah, I haven't. No.
Starting point is 00:33:14 Really? You could like reuse that one multiple times. You could say fence or car or insert anything that an elephant can sit on. Thank you. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So new research came out as to why babysitter prices are going up and up and up. And this was a complaint Eddie had recently because babysitters can get really expensive. but a lot of sitters that you're seeing out and about now are former teachers or people in the education field that have left that job because of COVID.
Starting point is 00:33:48 And now they're offering their services in other ways. And they just rightfully so charge a higher rate. Credentials. Yeah. So it's causing the average babysitter price in America to go up. And in this article it said for parents that are struggling to afford child care because of this, they suggest maybe teaming up with another. family to share a caregiver, like if your neighbor's going on a day the same. A carpool? Yeah. That's weird. See if there's another family or if y'all are doing a double date. If everybody
Starting point is 00:34:17 has kids. We sure charge them more if they know two families. All right kids, act like your last name's the same. Okay. Well, another tip would be look for grad students or people that are retired who they're not looking for top dollar, just looking for extra cash. And if you want to save money, just go to Walmart and ask somebody just walking around. Excuse me. Yeah, I mean, it's just the opposite of the other thing. A total stranger? I'm just saying if you really want to save money, I don't recommend that, but if everybody's complaining about how good the babysitters are
Starting point is 00:34:43 and they cost more, okay, won't you dip your toe back into the other side of it or you just get a random person? Which, by the way, this research said that the national average for babysitting rate for one child is $20.57 an hour. That's too much. But if that's someone's career...
Starting point is 00:35:00 I will say my daughter's can start... And it's your kids... I like the Walmart idea better. Yeah. My daughter's can start babysitting this summer. She shouldn't charge 20 bucks an hour, because she has a kid. She's already said that out loud, though, to people, though, because she's
Starting point is 00:35:12 her $20 an hour. But no, she's charging $10 because she has no credit interest. Unless you get called last minute, you should charge more if they're like, hey, we need you in like two hours. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So heads up, you can hide Amazon orders on your account from other people that share an account.
Starting point is 00:35:27 And I know that this has probably beneficial to a lot of people that are maybe trying to buy surprise things or gifts and they're scared to put it on the Amazon account because whoever they're buying it for and their family might see it. Well, there's a whole thing. I mean, you can search up step by step how to do it, but I had no idea that you could archive orders. So that's just a little tip to put out there. Or if you're shopping a lot on Amazon and you don't want your spouse to see.
Starting point is 00:35:47 That's the shady thing. That's what most people probably would do, though. It's not to buy gifts for someone else. I wanted to start off with the more positive thing. But also, if you're buying a little too much from Amazon, you can archive the orders in your order details. And again, I had no idea that was an option. So I thought I'd just share with everyone.
Starting point is 00:36:04 And then Parker McCollum was telling some, some wedding details. He's going to be getting married soon. And his first dance is going to be to George Straits, I Cross My Heart, which. I cross my heart. Which what? Amy's crying right now. I think it's beautiful.
Starting point is 00:36:22 I love it. She's picturing her and Parker for the wedding. No. I'm not. That would be awesome, George Strait. I was kind of picturing George showing up, but that's probably not going to happen. Probably not. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:33 But George and Parker were together at our IHurt Country Festival last year, and it was amazing. together in that they were Both age That was the first time they were instructed and asked to be there and they were at this Yes but I think it was like the second time they had met Oh okay I'm Amy that's my pile
Starting point is 00:36:49 That was Amy's pile of stories It's time for the good news With Amy Tell me something good So Adam Mazeo is in the Army And he was stationed far away from his mom And she hadn't seen him in a long time So he was able to fly to New York and go to the restaurant where she works,
Starting point is 00:37:12 Pixley's a restaurant, and she was in the middle of her shift, and he was sitting at a table. I saw the video of this, and it is awesome. And she kind of comes over, she seems like she's the best server in the world. She comes over with a smile, greets to people, is about to take their order, and then she hears his voice and looks over and sees that it's him and, like, freaks out. And here's a clip of her finally realizing that Adam is sitting there. Hi, guys.
Starting point is 00:37:35 How you doing? Oh, I am doing better than how they're here. Yeah. That's right. I'm going to get you. Yeah. The video was just so cute because she was just, I mean, good thing. I was like, ooh, she's probably always in a good mood.
Starting point is 00:37:52 But knowing I was thinking of my luck, I would come over at a table and be like, how's it going? Like in the video would have been ruined because of my attitude. But she was chipper no matter what. Then he stiffed her, I heard. No. No, no, no. But I love that he surprised his mom. seen her in eight months.
Starting point is 00:38:07 That's a good. Super cool. That would be awesome. That would be awesome. All right, that's what it's all about. That was tell me something good.
