Starting point is 00:02:00 And that's... I appreciate you bucking up. That's showbiz. I don't really use that one for that showbiz baby. Oh, you don't? That's literal showbiz. Like, when I say that's showbiz, baby, that's like, that's life. You're right.
Starting point is 00:02:11 You can't say it when it's a really showbiz. You know, I went to work on a TV set all day. That's showbiz, baby. No, no, that's literal showbiz. Yeah, good point. Here you go. True, true. Man who drink Pepsi or Coca Cola have higher testosterone levels and larger testicles.
Starting point is 00:02:23 What? Probably put out by Coke or Pepsi, right? Yeah, I just drive of Coke yesterday. I'd be like, guys. All right, I'm the new marketing director for Coke. guys come in a meeting here. I've hired a company and they have told me because I really nudge them to do so that men who drink Coke get a lot of chicks and their wieners two to one size-wise. So put this out. That's what it feels like. And all the dudes are falling for it. Oh, and then the
Starting point is 00:02:48 ladies want for guys to drink it. All of a sudden at dinner there's like a Coke next to his day. The country's most popular sodas well could give guys bigger testicles and make them more masculine, a study suggests. Research on mice show adult males who drank Coke or Pepsi at higher testosterone levels and larger genitals in their peers. These poor mice. I thought it was, like, fixed.
Starting point is 00:03:09 You know, like, it was what it was. You can, they can... Hey, science has always given us new discoveries. That's right. You hear it, me opening up a Coke. I'm back on it. There's some evidence that high caffeine intake can ramp up testosterone production to the body, which leads to greater sperm production and larger testes. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:03:27 Experts are not suggesting men rush out and drink lots of Coca-Cola or Pepsi. You hear all the cards out of here right now. Get into the store. It's like toilet paper during COVID. You can't get any. Previous studies have linked sugary sodas to a host problems. All those problems are kind of counter. Yeah, but if you got big.
Starting point is 00:03:44 Tooth decay, high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, obesity. Like all that to me is the bigger sign. Yeah, but that's later. Later, man. I'm telling you drink one can of Coke and grow on an inch. Okay, so if that's true, that's later. Then you're like, go, oh my God. Look at this, guys.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Are you also telling me that there's a lot of mice out there with like big... That's what I hear. Wow. That's what I hear. They're testes. Testes rats. Like, what do they do with those guys? Not test rats, testes rats.
Starting point is 00:04:16 Testes are mice. Testes rice. Okay, that's that. I did want to lead with that, so I didn't forget about it. A woman had $180,000 of cocaine chip directly to her home. that's smart. Which, when you read this, because I saw the headline first, and I don't click into a lot of headlines.
Starting point is 00:04:33 But I thought, did she do it on purpose? Or was it just sent there? Or did she do it on purpose? It was sent there, but that she got caught, that she was like, I don't know how I got there. All those were the options in my head. In South Carolina, a woman is facing drug trafficking charges after she had to just sent there straight up.
Starting point is 00:04:45 Like straight up. Wow. Because it probably happened before. Straight up. No problem. The package was addressed to 28-year-old, Quanisha Monago, and contained six and a half pounds of the old Bogshuio. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:04:56 With the street value of $180,000 bucks. Several, I've never even seen cocaine. Did it say that in the story? No, it's cocaine. Six and a half pounds of cocaine. Several law agencies worked together to intercept the package after it was delivered by an undercover agent. So they must have known that place was sending out.
Starting point is 00:05:14 They waited for it. They delivered. They put in the back of her Ford Focus and they started to drive off with it. But how did she not know it was some... Unless she'd opened it already and seen it, how would they know what was in it? But Action News 5 got the story.
Starting point is 00:05:26 That is bold. That's why you get a P.O. box and register it to a fake name, right? Or you have it sent to your neighbors, see if it gets landed there and then... Yeah, that's true, too. Mine was sent to a Pia Bucks. I know, but you... Technically, I'm so glad nobody was tracking that and followed us to our house and then arrested us for heroin trafficking when we had nothing to do with it.
Starting point is 00:05:50 We did not. Hey, that's all I'm talking to wonder. This story makes me wonder. Okay. Yeah. That's what I do on the side. A man's wedding day is crashed by a dozen vengeful exes. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:06:01 A dozen? Wow. I mean, does anybody here have a dozen exes? That's not the story I hear. The story I hear is, show out. Women are crazy. He's getting married.
Starting point is 00:06:10 He didn't pick you. Yeah, so what did they do? And whatever that he did to you, he's probably going to end up doing to her too, so you don't want him anyway. Don't show up at his wedding. Freak and losers. Amy's like, what did he do? I'm like, no, no, no, it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:06:22 They broke up with him because of that. Sounds like he dated a lot of crazy women. Or he sucked and they're crazy And crazy attracts crazy So they're all crazy So he's getting married February 6th About a dozen women showed up
Starting point is 00:06:35 Outside the wedding And they were like protesting And they're like Where's ex-girlfriends And today we will destroy you Wow What on earth At first they thought it was a friendly prank
Starting point is 00:06:43 But no they were out to spoil his day Eventually The new wife And him went over to confront them And now they just say it was embarrassing And of course they're upset That sucks And who is the ringleader
Starting point is 00:06:55 that ex-girlfriend anger mob. That's from Audity Central. That is a red flag, though, right? Like, if she hasn't always, even the wife hasn't always crazy. Okay, I'm just saying. Crazy attracts crazy, and they're going to have issues too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:07 You don't have somebody that just snaps out of being crazy. Well, he could be in therapy? You don't. It didn't snap. That's true, man. A lawsuit says that a blackjack dealer continued to deal after a man dies at the table. No.
Starting point is 00:07:21 Oh, hey, it's for the job. Hey, got to keep those cars going. You also could think he fell asleep. People get so drunk in Vegas. Oh, yeah, it happens. I just think he's passed out. The family of a man who collapsed while playing blackjack at the wind
Starting point is 00:07:31 in Las Vegas is now suing the hotel at casino. Last April, David was splitting aces and doubling down. How do I know exactly what the hand is? Hey, that's a big bet. That's cool. When his face went,
Starting point is 00:07:40 boom, on the table. The suit then adds that as his head laid on the table, the dealer kept giving him, yeah, I thought he was drunk. Sir. This is so easy. If I were a lawyer,
Starting point is 00:07:51 I would say, like, let's just watch some footage of 24 other hours Ooh, that's good. Of nighttime in Las Vegas, where people are just like, ugh. How is he to know which one of them is dead and which one of them is drunk? That's what I would do if I was the attorney.
Starting point is 00:08:02 Yeah, that's good. This is just reminding me, too, that you can just die just like that. Humans, yeah, that we do that. I know, but he's funny. Yeah, the excitement of splitting aces, man. It'll get your heart going. One minute you're playing cards, and the next year just dead. You are, thanks for taking us.
Starting point is 00:08:17 You're getting shuffled out. There you go. Wow. It's the only good pun I think you've ever had, and we like that one. That's good, dude. The rest of them are. written for you or they're they missed, but that's a good one. Show appreciation. Here's your flowers, buddy.
Starting point is 00:08:28 I've done more than one good one. Eight News now had the story, but there are so many drunk people at these tables in Vegas that yes, if I'm dealing and I'm like, you're just thinking I'm passing out because I had too many Yeager bombs. Yeah. Not, I died. That's never happened to that dealer before. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:42 I'm on team dealer there. Did you know you can get a tax right off of your pet? And this comes from our expert on taxes, apparently. Amy? Yeah. All of a sudden, she's got all this tax information now. Yeah. Remember, she was like, you know, you can pay your kids.
Starting point is 00:08:53 write it off. I wouldn't say this on the air. She's like, no, it's real. And so now she says that you can actually get a tax right off of your pet. How? Okay, so if your pet is, let's use Stanley, for example,
Starting point is 00:09:04 because Stanley has his own Instagram account with tons of followers. About 100,000. He's giving updates all the time. He wrote a book. He's been very busy. He does press. Like, Stanley's very involved,
Starting point is 00:09:17 so therefore any expenses you have on your dog, you can write off I think I hear from certain people. And Stanley just had all these expensive surgeries. Interesting. Think about it. Oh, to get it back on track for his career.
Starting point is 00:09:32 Yes. I know, are you doing this for me? Also, you have documented the surgeries. It's been also a PSA. Hey, check your dog's ACL. I'm not doing that like lunchbox does. He's like, I talked about it on the radio. I ride it off.
Starting point is 00:09:45 That's not how it works. Here it is. When a pet provides a service to a business generates income or is a service animal, pet expenses can be itemized. If you foster a pet or donate to pet charities, you might be able to take advantage of pet deductions also. Boom. I am now.
Starting point is 00:10:00 Stanley goes to the first day of school. I think a book for sure. Everybody writes their own kid's book, even which is their hand. They sell it on the corner. That's right. You sold it. But you're giving back with it.
Starting point is 00:10:11 It all adds up to where you can start writing stuff off for Stanley. Because I can't imagine he's a cheap dog. No, he dies almost every week. Yeah. His very happy life. That's legit. But he's like always. sick with something. I never told the joke before, but I told it last night. I said, I have to remember
Starting point is 00:10:27 because I just kind of came up with it. But I said, I was like, hey, welcome to the show. It's been a pretty rough week, as you guys have seen, Stanley, my bulldog. He said a crazy ACL surgery. He tore a second ligament in his leg. So he said, been, whatever. And then I said, you know, these bulldogs, I don't think they should continue to make bulldogs. They make them. They're so genetically inbred that they should stop making them. It's the same thing about people from Arkansas. And so I got a good laugh at all that joke is from Arkansas. And so it's pretty good. They like that one. I think people just like making fun of dumb people. Yeah. Like me. They think all Arkansases are dumb. And we're not. We might have a family true and all the branches. It just goes up and down. But dang it,
Starting point is 00:11:08 we're not that dumb. I saw this thing actually last night. Arkansas and Kansas, same. Just the AR in the beginning. But we say Kansas and Arkansas. First time you ever thought about that? Did you go to first grade yesterday? What in the war? I know that they're spelled the same. I just have not ever thought about how we pronounce them totally different.
Starting point is 00:11:28 Well, the reason is Arkansas was actually a state before Kansas. Okay. And Arkansas, the French discovery, it has said like that because the people were French. Arkansas. Oh, ha, ha.
Starting point is 00:11:39 That's what it was originally. It was, oh, okay. Well, thank you for that clarification. I believe that's, I haven't looked it up, I know she was going to say that. But from my, we had to take Arkansas history. I do believe, and Mike, if you could, Give me the fact check.
Starting point is 00:11:50 I do believe it was a French settlement. Arkansas was first. And the reason it's said different is because of how they said it. Wow. More so than Kansas, which is more of Western. Okay. Did you know they're spelled the same? It was over the A.R.
Starting point is 00:12:04 I know that. That was just my way. Did you know, Oklahoma's okay? Okay. Listen, the point of my story wasn't that they're spelled the same. We all know that. It's just a, you don't think about how they're said so different. Arkansas was named for the French plural of a Native American tribe,
Starting point is 00:12:19 while Kansas is the English spelling of a similar one. So it is, it's a French deal. But we, yeah, we even go, sa. It should be, it's weird. I kind of want to call Kansas. Kansas. What is it?
Starting point is 00:12:31 No. Kenza. Kansas. That's what it would be. I want to start doing that. Right? Here is a voicemail. This is from, I guess she called right after the million dollar show last night.
Starting point is 00:12:41 Me and my mom went to the million dollar show tonight and it was awesome. And I just want to say that y'all are so amazing for raising that much. money. Okay, thank you. Bye. Thank you. It's an awesome night. It was the most selfishly curated show that I've ever done because instead of, sometimes I'll just go, who can we get? What are the biggest stars
Starting point is 00:12:59 we can get to come and do this show? This year, I was just like, I'm just going to invite people that I think it would be cool to play music with that I've never been able to play with. And Eddie and I would be like, this is so cool. And we did that and we invited Michelle Branch and she played. We got the records back together. Highlight.
Starting point is 00:13:13 Creed? Oh, yeah. You got to admit. Oh, I'll be the first to admit. That was great. That was, I'll tell you, I'll tell you right now. Look, I think it takes a strong person to admit when he's wrong. Don't compliment yourself before you admit something.
Starting point is 00:13:25 Just admit it. There was so much joy in that room when that guy started singing Creed songs. And I was like, this is amazing. That guy. I've never been. Hey, put some respect on his name. Scott Stapp. I've never been a Creed fan.
Starting point is 00:13:36 I've never been a fan of the music. But that night, dude, last night, I was like, this is amazing. It's awesome. The crowd was like, oh my God. And they didn't really know it because they were like, we're about to do this. When you are with me. I'm free. And then I would just kind of mumble because I don't know the rest of that one part.
Starting point is 00:13:54 I'm here. Let me tell you, he walked up to me and put the mic around my face and I'm like, I don't know the words, dude. Do what I do. I'm here. And then it hit free, free. Now we go, up on a knee. So I knew the rest of it. But man, what a night.
Starting point is 00:14:09 He was so nice. He sounded just like, I mean, he sounded the same. Was that when you were in the crowd? I was in the crowd for that one. Yeah. Yeah. If you missed the show, Lunchbox, Demanded Backstage. passes because he did not want to hang out with their listeners because he says they're
Starting point is 00:14:21 annoying. I didn't say that. We do everything on this show wrong. You guys realize that, right? We should just, let's talk to be like, I don't want to go out there because I loved them too much and I was worried I was going to hug everybody all night. They're like, no, they annoy me.
Starting point is 00:14:34 Yeah, like, I can't even relax and enjoy the show, man. Like, it's not off me. Let me do a couple of things and we'll wrap it up. Let's do a couple clips because, speaking of music, I had the lead guitarist to the food fighters. I think he's been at the lead guitar since 1999, Chris Schifflett. So he's been with them for the entire duration of, like, massive food fighters. And he's also a solo artist.
Starting point is 00:14:56 He came over to the house and is great. And we talked about the difference between, because he's one of the members of Food Fighters, who I think is the greatest American rock band still going. Oh, they're still going strong. Strong. They still have songs that are number one on rock, number one. And they've been at it since like 97, 98, 99.
Starting point is 00:15:14 I mean, Dave Grohl was in a Super Bowl commercial. So he talked about the difference between touring with Fu Fighters. versus him touring solo. If you need a visual, send your camera crew to the Airbnb I'm staying at right now. And that will clearly illustrate the difference. And if that doesn't make it clear enough, I'll drive you around in my van that we tour in as well. So solo, he's spent his own money, but for firefighters, it's a mega million dollar industry. And he's like, we have cases for everything.
Starting point is 00:15:44 We're in jail. That's amazing. And then, you know, he wants to do his own music too. and he has for a long time. He's even doing punk stuff back in like the early 90s. And he's like, yes, different now. I got a piece of crap. Why would you do that?
Starting point is 00:15:55 Like, you're already sitting up in those millions? Well, because he's an artist. He wants to put out his own creation as well. I asked him about how they write as a band, like Food Fighters, because when it lists all the writers, it shows them all, all the guys from the band. So how does this happen? Dave is very much the writer.
Starting point is 00:16:11 Has always led the sort of creative vision of the band, you know? When you guys write, do you guys get in a room and just, if you write, do it together. It's changed here and there over the years, you know. In the past, maybe we would spend more time. He would make, like, record some demos, then we would learn the songs and maybe we demo them and then get into the studio. And then there's been times where, you know, he just brings him in, we learn them in the studio and kind of piece him together as, as we're going. So it's, it's a little bit of everything. I'll give you one more clip here. There's a rumor about him being in Guns and Roses. It has been. And he auditioned for Guns and Roses. And
Starting point is 00:16:43 he said he gets, it's, it's all the time. And I'll set this thing straight right here, breaking news. And so here he is, setting an internet rumor straight about him being in Guns and Roses. In that conversation, I said to him, hey, I heard Foo Fighters are looking for a guitar player. And he said, oh, I know somebody that works with him, whatever. And he actually did wind up getting my name thrown in the hat when they were having auditions. So that's how I got, how I wound up auditioning for Fus. But that was the, like, and my buddy, Bill, he didn't work for Guns and Rue. There was no official. So, yeah, let's just put that to bed right now. I never played in Guns and Roses.
Starting point is 00:17:17 He never did anything with them. Okay. It just turned it because he knew somebody who knew somebody who said there's an audition. Check it out. It's this week's episode of the Bobbycast. One of my favorite things is one of the guys from Weezer saw a clip of the interview. And he said, hey, I thought that was Rivers Cuomo interviewing you. No way!
Starting point is 00:17:31 Which is the lead singer of Weezer who I thought was super cool. So I started to wear my glasses like this when I was 17 years old or so. That's cool, man. And then I stopped wearing my glasses for a long time. And then I realized it sucks not being able to see. So then I started wearing him again. So that's it. Thank you guys for hanging out with us.
Starting point is 00:17:48 I think we'll end it there. Looking at the list. I think we're good. It's Wednesday. You guys doing losers today? Yes. Eddie, good for you, buddy. I'm exhausted.
Starting point is 00:17:59 Oh, dude. So am I. I got nothing. I got nothing in the tank. But that's, hey, that's... Oh, no, that's really showbiz. That's like you doing showbiz stuff. You can say it there.
Starting point is 00:18:07 That's showbiz, baby. That's it. Thank you guys. Check out the Bobbycast, and then we will be back tomorrow. I hope. All right. Goodbye, buddy.
Starting point is 00:18:16 A win is a win. is a way. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me. Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, my basketball and college football journey, or my career in sports media. Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement
