Check out Game Recognized game with Stewie and Miles on the iPhone. Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, everybody? Welcome to Wednesday show. Morning in a studio. Morning. I'm blown away by this guy who held his breath for 24 minutes, because I think holding your breath for a minute, not even that easy. I'm sure he trained for this too. It's not, like, he was just like, you know what, I'm bored.
Starting point is 00:03:34 24 minutes later, he's like, oh, all good. 24 minutes. The current world record for static apnea, which is holding one's breath underwater, is 24 minutes and 3.45 seconds. And it was accomplished in 2021. Because any of those records that are like 16, 19, I don't believe those are true. But this dude, this is an athlete. This is a world-class athlete.
Starting point is 00:03:58 Say whatever you want. Maybe he doesn't run fast. Hold your breath 24 minutes. How are you even coming out in your brain works? But he is a professional breath hold diver. He's a free diver. So he's someone who goes underwater. And that's how he started
Starting point is 00:04:14 because he was just free diving, going deep and then coming up and having to train himself to hold his breath longer so he could free dive. And so here's a clip from the Guinness World Record YouTube channel. Brod and his showback attempted an incredible feat. The longest breath hold. He only began free diving at 48 and had to work really hard to build up his endurance. He trained six days a week and hyperventilated with pure oxygen before the attempts When underwater, Budimir focuses on his heartbeat.
Starting point is 00:04:43 His time? 24 minutes and 37 seconds. I don't understand it. Yeah, it makes no sense. If I drink a whole glass of water, I got to pee within 24 minutes and 30-something seconds. Right. So, okay, if anybody can do three minutes or more,
Starting point is 00:05:01 I'll give you 100 bucks. And you can try it here on the show. You can say no, if you don't want to do it. What happens to we try and we fail? You get punched in the face. Oh, my goodness. I know, it's a bad one. No, I'm just kidding.
Starting point is 00:05:11 You can just try and fail. I'm just curious what everybody can do. But I want to we all just try it then. But I want you to try hard because if I put a hundred bucks on the line, you'll actually try. Because watch, I'm going to try with nothing on the line. Okay, Ray, time me. Ready? And go.
Starting point is 00:05:23 That was it? That was it. Nothing on the line. Wow. See how easy it is when nothing matters? Okay. Well, you just have to make it a competition between us. Three minutes.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Oh, man. Like who can hold their record a moment. I don't know because then I have to pay somebody. You don't want to do that? No. Three minutes. I mean, that's a little bit much. but three months a long time
Starting point is 00:05:43 That's the point You know another one I was going to do I was going to give somebody And I still might Because I have like my own like goofy little YouTube channel now I was going to give somebody a thousand dollars If they just counted to 100,000 straight Huh?
Starting point is 00:05:55 I would do that on the feet And you couldn't mess up And if anybody caught you messing up Or stopping they got a hundred dollar like bounty What's the What do you have to count to again? 100,000 Yeah I can't do that
Starting point is 00:06:06 You get distracted That'll take you a long time I'd be like I looked it up It didn't take you 24 hours is doing it for $1,000 worth 24 hours. I mean, yeah, the answer is yes. But that's what we're doing here.
Starting point is 00:06:18 Okay, that's for another time. Well, no, dude, I have all these ideas. I have all these ideas. I just love games. Our whole show is games, right? It's always been games. And so, okay, so we. Oh, now?
Starting point is 00:06:29 Yeah. Oh, we're not doing it now. We'll let Amy go first now, but some, Morgan. Holy crap. I need you to go and be the judge because some people could do this with their nose. Like, listen. And they can cheat.
Starting point is 00:06:41 Well, I thought we did, I don't, I think we don't do it all the same time. No. Why? You don't think those two knuckleheads will cheat. No, you can get, you can assign a per, a spy to each person. A spy? What are we in Russia? Yeah, what do you? Or a breath checker.
Starting point is 00:06:59 How do you check the breath? You don't. Well, you have one person, the nose has to be held and the other person monitors the mouth. We have to hold our nose. Man. Well, how is you going to hold your breath? You're the one wanting to cheat. Now we found it.
Starting point is 00:07:10 It's Amy who was trying to choose. Wait, I'm going to hold my nose. Well, yeah, I just thought we'd just be honest. You think this room is going to be honest when it comes to winning $100? Like, you can tell if someone inhaled. Yeah, look at their chest. Yeah. No, because watch.
Starting point is 00:07:26 You're breathing. Yeah, but you can't tell. I saw your chest move. No, you didn't. It wasn't moving. Okay. We can try this. Does it?
Starting point is 00:07:35 I think I could do two minutes. Three for a hundred bucks. I don't know. dude. Let's, uh, Amy can go first, but Morgan, you're going to have to be her judge because I don't want any other dudes putting their hands near her face. So Amy, you have to hold your nose. And Morgan, I just want you put your hand on her, like, near her mouth. This is so uncomfortable.
Starting point is 00:07:55 My mouth's going to be close. I'm not breathing. Do the other hand. Hey, yellow card. Oh. Okay, God. We're not even playing a game. Yellow card.
Starting point is 00:08:03 Okay. Okay. Wait, hold on. How much should I inhale before, holo? Hey, Gonzo. Okay. Okay. Let me get ready.
Starting point is 00:08:10 Okay. When you say go, I'm going. Okay. Okay, don't even say go. Because go is going to be energy. Whenever you blink real big, I'll do it. Go, boom. Time's up.
Starting point is 00:08:25 All right. We're at one second. Okay. Amy's now holding her breath and Morgan. Watch her mouth. I don't think she's the one that would cheat though. I think she's got it. I also don't want to make her laugh.
Starting point is 00:08:35 Mm-hmm. But you. No jokes. You two. What? Would both cheat? No, we wouldn't. No, I wouldn't do that.
Starting point is 00:08:40 We're very honest people. Yeah. When's last time you lie, Daddy? I can't remember. That's a lie. Amy's at 24 seconds right now. Is she passing out? Check on her. If she starts to help me. I got to try not to make her laugh. She has her eyes close.
Starting point is 00:08:56 She's letting any breath out. Morgan is judging here. She's focusing. I mean, it's silent over here right now. Yeah. What if she did? She could be dead right now because 41 seconds. 41 seconds. What we should have her do is pull, whoever else pull their ears out so they don't hear us making jokes. because with our audience, we need to keep being entertaining. But if she doesn't have ears and she couldn't hear me being hilarious.
Starting point is 00:09:18 And that's hard for me not to be hilarious, guys. I don't think you guys realize that. We are now at one minute. I gotta say her yoga is really paying off here. She's very still. I think she's turning red guy. Oh, 105. 105.
Starting point is 00:09:33 Were you about to pass that? No, but like. You went full flying tomato, Sean. This gets a snowboarder. I started to just get that weird feeling of like, I know I'm not going to get to three minutes at this point and I don't want to like injure myself in any way. So. Okay.
Starting point is 00:09:49 So Amy's down minute five. Oh, man. I mean, I could beat a minute five. Yeah. Well, right. Are you playing? I'm sure you could. I'm going to pay myself.
Starting point is 00:09:58 Your lung capacity is probably larger than mine. Treat yourself. I already am treated. Okay. We'll do some more coming up a little bit. Oh, Bobby Bones. I've been at my job for over a year now. It has just occurred to me that.
Starting point is 00:10:26 One of my upper management bosses might not even know my name. I've met him more than a few times in meetings and work events, and I recently realized that he always calls me champ or buddy or pal. Maybe he's trying to be cash or cool, but it started to strike me as odd. I can't recall one instance when he used my actual name. I'm worried if he doesn't know my name, it will mean I have limited opportunities in the company.
Starting point is 00:10:51 How do I find out or make sure he knows my name without making it awkward? Signed nameless employee. Okay, two things here. The first thing you're not going to like to hear so much. If he doesn't know your name, that means you're not doing enough that he knows about in order to get whatever promotion that you want. That doesn't mean you're not doing it because sometimes you're doing all kinds of stuff. But if you don't share, you're not letting people know what you're doing, they don't know. How do you let people know?
Starting point is 00:11:18 Like you just announce it? There are many ways, a couple ways. One, you can have a celebration friend that actually celebrates you in front. of others. And you kind of work out a system where it's like, hey, I just crush this. Can you be sure to share this happen? And I was the one that did it. Like that's a real thing. Okay. A celebration friend. It's kind of a lame name. Listen, I'm a workshop on the name still. But there is like, it's like a partner. Yeah, it's like a partner that that helps you not seem I wouldn't even say it's an ego thing. But you have to share your successes because people
Starting point is 00:11:51 just expect you to do what you're paid to do. And if you're doing more than that, they don't really notice and if they do it's only for a second because they got to cover their butt and their job. So you either need like a, what was my term? Celebration friend. You either need like a celebration friend that celebrates you or whenever you send these reports to this boss, constantly. Hey, we did this. We overachieved here. This was the goal.
Starting point is 00:12:14 This is what we did. I'm going to give you the greatest boss hack of all time. Don't use none of me. I already know. Well, yeah. I was writing it down. I know. No, we're taking notes.
Starting point is 00:12:25 A boss hack. or a boss you would like in the future or someone that's extremely elevated. Email them. Everybody's human, even though you think they're, oh, they get this crazy position. Email them and ask for advice, even if you don't need it. Everybody loves to act like they have influence and they're helping somebody and navigating them in a way. And they're going to be invested in you. So ask for advice that also creates a relationship.
Starting point is 00:12:51 There's an intimacy there when you're asking somebody for advice. So ask for advice. Even do this with this guy. Even if you don't need advice, like how do you make up? Like what? Make something more? Should I wear the blue or the red? No, you do this.
Starting point is 00:13:02 You'd be like, hey, we usually come in at 9 a.m. in the morning. You know, I've been showing up around 8.45 or so. I'm wondering, is that setting a standard within our group dynamic where they're going to be resentful? Or is it, there are just many ways to. And then you're also sort of nonchalantly dropping that you get there right. Yes. This is good stuff. So there are many ways.
Starting point is 00:13:26 to do that. But the third way I would say is wear a name tag. Oh, like, hello my name is? Yeah, just wear a name tag all the time. And it's not even about him at all, but he'll know your name. But if you don't celebrate your victories in your career, your job, nobody else is going to do it for you. You have to do
Starting point is 00:13:44 it. And it's not bragging. People will not know and it's not that they don't care. It's that they are so worried about keeping their own jobs and having their successes celebrated by their bosses are not paying a bunch of attention to it. So don't look at it as being selfish. You need to let me know. I like it.
Starting point is 00:14:00 Okay. So you need like a, I know you're still workshopping the name, but like a hype colleague. I know I kind of like it. I'm going to settle with it. A celebration friend? Yeah. So are we going to all do that for each other? Don't do it to me because I know what everybody does all time.
Starting point is 00:14:13 Well, not you, but like lunchbox in Vegas, we have a boss that. They all don't know his name. Yeah. He doesn't talk to anybody. Hey, good luck. You can do this. Now we hype him up. I don't trust hyping him up because I don't trust what he's going to do.
Starting point is 00:14:26 once he gets hyped. Okay. You know what I mean? I would be like, you only elevate people that you believe will make you look good because if you elevate someone
Starting point is 00:14:33 and they don't make you look good, then you look worse. Yeah. What will happen is we're going to be backstage in the hall and it'll be like, see that guy yelling over there? We're in bracelets?
Starting point is 00:14:42 Like all the celebrities, that's lunchbox. He's amazing. Nameless employee, you got this. You're doing nothing wrong. You just have to strategize a bit different and there's nothing wrong
Starting point is 00:14:53 with strategizing like that. I've done him a whole career. But early in my day, I'd be like, I would hit up people when we were living in Austin doing the show. I'd hit up people in Dallas that were like high executives to be like, hey, I'm going to be in town this evening. But you weren't even really going to be in town? And I'd fly in, just have dinner and fly right back out afterwards, Southwest. Dang, that's awesome.
Starting point is 00:15:10 They'd have no idea. And so, but it was just creating a relationship. And at dinner, I'm like, hey, I really need help with this like a group dynamic thing. I really didn't. I've lost you guys around. Oh, my God, I didn't need that. But, you know, but that's it. I'm really having this situation with Amy.
Starting point is 00:15:26 I need help with this. She's so complex. She's so amazing. I don't know how to keep everybody else from being jealous. There you go, nameless employee. Thank you for the email. Good luck with that. Close it up.
Starting point is 00:15:41 All right, rich people things. Are these real rich people things or fake rich people things that I made up? Write your answer down. A $75,000 toilet that talks. Now let me give you description. The Toto NeoRest NX2 is a high-tech tool. toilet that features automatic seat warming, self-cleaning, mood lighting, even a voice assistant. It greets you when you walks in. It analyzes your health over time by your bathroom.
Starting point is 00:16:06 The price, 75-gur, or, yeah, you can pay for the extras, but I think. What is Gur? Grand. Yeah. I guess if you want different colors, it can be more. But 75-gir-based price. MSRP, 75-GER. Is that a fake thing? Or is that a real thing that rich people can buy? Let me know when you guys are in. I'm in. Amy? It's real.
Starting point is 00:16:31 Lunchbox? Fake. Eddie? Very real. That $75,000 toto neoress NX2 toilet is real. I'm looking at it. It looks like a little space pod. I wonder what it says to you.
Starting point is 00:16:45 Like, good job. Maybe don't eat the Gouda. That tells you afterward like, hey, peanuts, not your thing. Asparagus? Again? Next up. A luxury escape. Some billionaires are reportedly investing in high-tech escape pods, complete with a year's worth of supplies, a built-in cinema, and a climate-controlled sleeping area supposedly costs $12 million per pod, is marketed as the Rolls Royce of Doomsday Prepping.
Starting point is 00:17:19 Is this real the rich people can buy, or is it something fake I made up? I'm in for the win. Can I tell you, I love this game. I loved making it. I love playing it. All right, I'm in. I'm in. Amy. It's real. Lunchbox?
Starting point is 00:17:37 Fake. Eddie? I think it's fake. It's fake. Oh, dang. Could be real. It's fake. He has rich people, no.
Starting point is 00:17:44 Excuse me? Me and lunchbox. That 401K. How's it going for you guys? It's down start of that. Slow growing. Next up. A private concert with a hologram of yourself.
Starting point is 00:18:00 A tech startup is supposedly offering billionaires the ability to perform a private concert with a fully interactive AI-powered hologram of themselves, meaning you can do a at with yourself at any time. Estimated cost $5 million. I'm in. I'm in for the win. Amy. I hope this is fake. Fake.
Starting point is 00:18:23 Lunchbox? If you would have said an artist, I'd believe you. That's fake. Eddie? Yeah, I think it's fake. Two left. Right now in the lead, Eddie. The richest of all.
Starting point is 00:18:34 Brokeest of all. For sure, 100%. Hey, can we check Eddie's death clock doing the segment's over too? Oh, gosh. I'm already losing time. Yeah, I'm just curious about that. Two left. A gold-plated airplane oxygen mask.
Starting point is 00:18:49 For those who refuse to breathe the same emergency air as everybody else, a private jet company allegedly offers gold-plated oxygen masks that are infused with essential oils and rare mountain air from the Swiss Alps. Price tag $50,000 per mask. I'm in. I'm in for the win. Amy? Fake.
Starting point is 00:19:13 Lunchbox? Fake. Eddie? Real. Fake. Fake. Oh, damn. We're all tied up.
Starting point is 00:19:19 We're down to one. That he's losing his wealth. I know. Slowly. In my life. Slowly. He invests a lot in Tesla. He's lost it.
Starting point is 00:19:31 Oh, man. Yeah, it's been a bad run. Next up. A temperature-controlled bed for your dog. Design for pampered pets, the smart dog bed automatically adjust to your pet's ideal temperature. Play soothing classical music and even dispenses treats when it senses the dog gets stressed. $35,000. her dog bed.
Starting point is 00:19:53 A temperature controlled bed for your dog. This is a real thing that rich people can buy or a fake thing I made up? I'm in. I'm in for the win. Amy? Fake. Lunchbox? We're going to have a winner.
Starting point is 00:20:11 It's real. Eddie? Yeah, rich people do dumb things. That's real. That is fake. Amy, you are the winner. Yeah. That is fake.
Starting point is 00:20:22 So not only does Amy win the game. Just checking in on Eddie's death. He will die in 9,489 days, 13 hours, 29,000. minutes and 26 seconds. Oh my gosh, 25 now. 24. Oh, crap. Hit Amy's song, please.
Starting point is 00:20:39 I think if I were really rich, though I'd really want the dog bed thing. That'd be cool. I feel like that's doable. Yeah, but it's $35,000. Oh, that's where you do. And then you can't just dispense treats based on the bed. Like, what if the dog needs to lose weight? Then you don't put treats in there.
Starting point is 00:20:54 But two, I would say the escape pod too would be a pretty cool one. Yeah, I thought that was real. You're not there yet. Maybe we are. Maybe we just don't know about it. it yet. Amy is our winner. Congratulations. It's time for the good news. With Bobby.
Starting point is 00:21:05 Tell me something good. Nearly five years after a life-changing pool accident, Brooklyn Boyer recently got engaged to her rescuer, Alan Mann. In 2020, just a weekend of dating, she hit her head on the bottom of the pool, left her paralyzed. Man, who had just completed lifeguard training,
Starting point is 00:21:23 jumped in, pulled her out, and then stayed with her until paramedics arrived. Brooklyn, her, spent three months recovering at the hospital in Denver, had to relearn essential skills, like how to drive, how to get around our wheelchair. Alan, him, the rescuer, and his parents remained by her side throughout her entire journey. Last month, on Valentine's Day, Alan proposed.
Starting point is 00:21:48 I just want to make sure everybody knows they weren't together before this. Wow. Yeah, that's crazy. This is like a movie. It is a movie. It is, which one? No, I mean, it's got to be a movie. They should be working on that right now.
Starting point is 00:21:59 Okay, I like that. I was like, wow, I already is. Alan says he admires her resilience and feels lucky to witness her strength firsthand. The newly engaged couple are excited for the future they're going to build together, and here's a clip of Alan talking about his love for Brooklyn.
Starting point is 00:22:13 To witness firsthand, all that she's got to accomplish and do, even with the injury, has been I mean, nothing less amazing. And again, I'm very blessed that I get to have one of the front row seats to that experience. That's great.
Starting point is 00:22:30 There needs to be a movie. There is a movie. Well, if not, there should be a movie. They're making it. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. A win is a win. A win is a win.
Starting point is 00:22:41 I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me. Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Starting point is 00:23:41 You can have opinions. You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become. when life makes other plans. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent,
Starting point is 00:24:12 and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. If you're watching the latest season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, you already know there's a lot to break down.
Starting point is 00:24:44 Orsha accusing Kelly of sleeping with a merry man. They holding Kay Michelle back from fighting Drew. Pinky has financial issues. I like the bougie style of Housewives show. I think it looks like to be interesting. On the podcast, Reality with the King, I, Carlos King, recap the biggest moments from your favorite, reality shows, including the Real Housewives franchise, the drama, the alliances, and the T, everybody's talking about. As an executive producer in reality television, I'm not just watching it. I understand the game. As somebody who creates shows, I'll even say this. At the end of the day, when people are at home, they want entertainment. To hear this and more, listen to Reality with the King on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:25:32 On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth with John Hobriant, I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money. What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here? We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts. Too many of us were never, ever taught. Financial education is not always about like a business. I'm going to get rich.
Starting point is 00:26:03 That's great. It's about creating an atmosphere for you to be able to take care of yourself and leave a strong financial legacy for your family. If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money, this conversation is for you to hear more. Listen to Money and Wealth with John O'Brien from the Black Effect Network on the I'd Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I'm Anna Navarro, and on my new podcast,
Starting point is 00:26:32 bleep with Anna Navarro. I'm talking to the people closest to the biggest issues happening in your community and around the world. Because I know deep down inside right now, we are all cursing and asking what the bleep is going on. I'm talking to people like Julie K. Brown, who broke the explosive story on Jeffrey Epstein in 2018. These victims have been let down time and time again for decades and decades by local law enforcement, by federal law enforcement, by administration after administration. The Justice Department through, I think we counted four presidential administrations, failed these victims.
Starting point is 00:27:15 Listen to Bleep with Anna Navarro as part of the MyCultura podcast network, available on the IHart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Three different scam alerts. Scam alert! Scam alert! We just don't want you to get scammed. to go first. This one, I want to punch everybody in the face that has anything to do with this. So scammers are targeting pet owners by pretending to be from local animal shelters.
Starting point is 00:27:46 If they see that you have something up on like a pole, your animal's missing, they call you and go, hey, we have your dog. Oh. That's cruel. It's creative, though. Oh, he starts to find a reason that's good. So they go, hey, we have your dog. We have to give us some shots and stuff. It's like 500 bucks. Just Venmo the account. And then you can come. get your dog for the work we had to do like sheltering at food and people pay it and then they never get their animal because their animal was never found. A Seattle animal shelter confirmed they never request the payments over the phone, urges people to contact them directly if a pet goes missing.
Starting point is 00:28:20 And it talks about that situation where this was a cat that went missing. They got a call. Someone's like, we got your cat and we'd love to get back to you. So happy that we found it. But we did a bunch of work to keep it healthy. We need 500 bucks. Pay, boom. That's terrible.
Starting point is 00:28:35 You should be punched in the first. face. Bottle one way ticket to a place called hell. For sure. That's from Cairo 7. Beware of this scam alert. A major scam is targeting emergency services
Starting point is 00:28:52 like towing locksmith services and emergency repairs. Scammers create fake businesses on Google and then you call them. They steal your info. They never call it all. Google has removed over 10,000 fake businesses. You have to make sure they're real and have physical address and even look for like
Starting point is 00:29:07 When someone reviews them, but even the reviews are fake a bit. Here is a clip from at Rosson reports. What these scammers would do, according to the reports, is create fake listings and fake businesses. So when you're locked out of your house, when your car breaks down, you search a business to come help you. It's a fake business, and they come scam you.
Starting point is 00:29:26 They either show up and demand and shake you down for more money on the spot or they steal your personal information and never come at all. That's terrible. You're in panic mode. Yeah, that's not good. Okay. Scam alert. Number three.
Starting point is 00:29:42 Going over to lunchbox. Yeah, I get this random text. It says, Nina arrives tomorrow. Do you have time to pick her up? Like, it's an obvious scam. But what is the scam? Well, who's... Or do you know a Nina and this is what you're doing on the air to prove to your wife?
Starting point is 00:30:00 I don't know her. It's a bit on the air. I promise. I do know a Nina. Okay, so, but it's just a random. Just a random number, not anybody I know. It just says, Nina arrives tomorrow. Do you have time to pick her up?
Starting point is 00:30:14 So can I give you what I think it is and then encourage you to string along the scammer like we did with Amy? Yeah. So all they want is an answer. That's it. All they want to do is create a communication with someone and you're going to be like, oh, I think you might have the wrong number. Or I don't think about Nina coming to the airport. Or they just literally want you to respond. And then from then they have their little book of what they do next.
Starting point is 00:30:43 And I hate to ask you if your phone's on because sometimes they're like, is your phone on, then you pull out a rotary dial from the back room. He's reaching for a bag. Could it just be a wrong number? No. No, no chance. I mean, Nina's such a non-common name that like I would. Yeah, wouldn't you go with like Bob E or Tim or?
Starting point is 00:31:01 Bob? No, because they want you, like Bobby's saying they want you to think that it's like, No, you have the wrong number. I don't know a Nina. So maybe they did pick a name that's hard to... Guys, I think this is Nina's mom. This is why Amy gets scammed, guys. We're now seeing it in real time because your heart is so big.
Starting point is 00:31:17 You're now figuring out why, like... Amy, at the airport today at 2 p.m. Amy's airport. It's the airport. I'm waiting for Nina to come down. Lunchbox is your phone on? Yeah, it's on. Reply to it and say, hey, thanks for the message.
Starting point is 00:31:31 I wasn't told I needed to pick Nina up. Okay. Because that's also going to confuse them because most people that reply to that would be like, you got the wrong number. Yeah. What are you writing lunchbox? Thanks for the message, but I wasn't told I needed to pick Nina up. Wow. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:49 Pretty good. Nina up. Nina. Oh, he's still. Yeah, yeah. Correcting a little bit. Sit in there and push that's in. Good?
Starting point is 00:31:59 Boom. Is it a phone number, lunchbox? Yeah. Want the phone number? No, no, no. What's the area code, though? 830. What's that area code, Mike?
Starting point is 00:32:06 Is it the Sudan? It's Texas. Is it Amarillo? Houston. New Bromphels? Oh, just saying. Oh, crap. You know what?
Starting point is 00:32:18 It's probably Nina. Yes. He has a city. Oh, my God. I think Nina's real. I think Nina might be real. Okay. Thank you very much.
Starting point is 00:32:26 Nina's been at the airport for a day waiting. She's at the San Antonio airport. Just see what they say. Maybe she's at Austin Berksfram. If they reply, let us know, okay? All right. Maybe it was this. Okay, well, there's two and a half.
Starting point is 00:32:38 Scam alerts. Scam alerts. There you go. I just want to address something at times. Yes, lunchbox can come off as very aggressive. You can come off as sometimes condescending, obnoxious. But if he wasn't a good guy, it wouldn't be a part of the show. I honestly would not have somebody at a part of the show that wasn't a good person.
Starting point is 00:32:56 So does he get on everybody's nerves a lot of times? Yes. I mean, yeah, we all get it on your nerves. No, no, mostly. Yeah, but a lot of him. But my point is he would not be here if he wasn't a good guy. So that doesn't mean when he's being obnoxious, he's not saying how he really feels, but he is, I'm almost certain a good heart, good.
Starting point is 00:33:19 Yeah. Yes. Yes, he is. We think so. But he's always up to something, and that is the truth. You can never really trust his motives because if he's doing something nice, there's usually something happening pretty close behind. that's more of an ask than a give.
Starting point is 00:33:38 Now I'm going to go to Amy now. Amy, it was just your birthday. Right. And I'm leaving work and he's like, hey, hey, hey, you're going out to the parking garage and I say, yeah. He's like, meet me on the third floor when you're driving down. So I'm driving and I reach the third floor and I see up ahead lunchbox standing there with this huge box. And I'm like, okay, what does he have in there? What's going on? I get there, unlock the door, opens it up. He puts down in my car and he says, happy birthday. And he's like, I got you a gift. And then he doesn't even wait to let me open it. He starts telling me what it is. Like he's so excited. And he's like, you know, I texted you
Starting point is 00:34:15 the other day asking for your zip code, which I also thought was a little weird, but I gave it to him. And he said he wanted to order me. He's smiling like a possuming crap. Something's up. Yeah. It is a cool get. Like this is honestly, I think this is one of the coolest gifts. Go ahead. He found this company that will customize birds. to your zip code. So you're feeding your native birds. Wow, that's really cool.
Starting point is 00:34:41 In your backyard. That's really cool and really thoughtful. Really thoughtful because I love birds and now they're going to be so happy my birds in my yard because they're going to be like, wow, she's so thoughtful. She got the food we love.
Starting point is 00:34:54 She knows what we like. Right. And why does this hit weird though? Well, so I'm driving way and I'm like, gosh, that was just so thoughtful. Like, thank you, lunchbox. and I told him that. And then I just thought, what is he up to?
Starting point is 00:35:08 What does he say every time it's one of our birthdays? He has the same spiel. What did you get me for my birthday? You didn't give me crap for my birthday while I'm getting you something for your birthday. We've given him things. We absolutely haven't. That's what's crazy about him. We're like, well, we didn't.
Starting point is 00:35:22 He's like, well, I wouldn't good enough or whatever it was. It didn't live up to his expectations. Yes. So I don't know. This is just so thoughtful. Like either he saw it, thought, oh, this would be good for Amy. I'm going to write this down. I'm just going to get it for him.
Starting point is 00:35:35 Maybe he's just. What do we think happened? Before we go to, but he's lunchbox is either going to tell the truth or lie. We can't help that. Well, eventually we're going to figure out when he asked me for something. Like, you need something.
Starting point is 00:35:44 Like, is he buttering me up for something? It's going to be that aha moment. Have you opened it? Why is it not really person? No, I don't know. I'm just saying it could, with him, it could be a good question. No, this is legit.
Starting point is 00:35:54 It's like. But have you opened it? No, because I have to get, I want to get a new feeder thing. So I just put it in my laundry room. but it says a gift for you and it says on the box there's birds on the box like I know it's in there but I have a theory okay I have a theory you have a theory that it's not really birthday no no no I just I'm just asking a theory we all have theories and this is only based on working
Starting point is 00:36:13 together for 20 years Amy what's your theory well my theory is he's buttering me up for something got he needs something at some point he's like aha when he saw that he's like I'm gonna get this for Amy for her birthday and then whenever the time comes that he needs to cash in on whatever it is he's gonna ask me and I'm a to be like, oh yeah, sure, no problem. Lunchbox, because he's so thoughtful. Me and all the birds have been so happy. We're happy to help you out.
Starting point is 00:36:36 Right. Got it. 31, Eddie. I don't think he bought the bird seed. I think that he is the king of the mail room. Ken of the king of the mail room. That's a great title for him. He sees a box that's been there forever.
Starting point is 00:36:47 He'll open it. And if it was already from a listener to Amy, he would redo the whole thing and say it's from him and give it to you. That's a great theory. But I didn't need it. It's like he gave it to me in the building. I went and met him at his car. Well, that doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:37:02 He is a king of the mailroom. Yes, he is. That's a, man, that makes me want to change mine. But what's your theory? His wife, who's thoughtful, got Amy a birthday gift, and he took all the credit and said that he did it. That would be my theory. I feel like these are all possible. Yes.
Starting point is 00:37:20 How possible is it, though, that he was just in a loving mood toward someone he's known for 20 years. It's a friend and got him a really great birthday gift. He's never done that. That's pretty rare. Ever. But maybe he's turning over a new. Look at him. Look at him. What's new? Same sweatshirt. He wears every day. In 20 years. Same one. Yeah. Okay. I don't know what you're going to say to us, but what would you like to respond with? He's been smiling the whole time. Happy birthday, Amy. I just thought. Okay, something's up. Something's up. It wasn't all. It wasn't like, I'm watching him. It wasn't all love. But go ahead.
Starting point is 00:37:52 I'm sitting there on my couch and I'm watching one of my favorite shows, Shark Tank. And this lady walks out and she, She's like, hi, I'm from the happy birdwatcher company, and we customize bird seed for people in their zip code. And I was like, man, it's Amy's birthday. You know what she loves? Birds. You know what? She doesn't have a dude to get her anything for her birthday. Why do you have to put that in there's the shot?
Starting point is 00:38:19 Like none. But I do. Because there's still a kind thing happening here, but you didn't need to add that second thing. And I was like, she's probably not going to get many gifts on her birthday. Bird seed, this is the. cool it one of the coolest things i've seen on shark tank and they're right down the road why don't i order amy some bird seed so i ordered amy some bird seed that he did i mean okay okay i'm still in i'm just wondering he loves shark tank and he loves ordering things from shark tank but he doesn't like
Starting point is 00:38:50 giving people gifts let me let me what shark tank does be it may say a lot of things morgan's got a theory i do i have a feeling that you know in years past he hasn't received a lot of gifts for his birthday so maybe what he's doing is starting now to give everyone gifts for their birthdays so then in turn we give him gifts on his birthday Eddie did you get one your birthday just happened from him? No, I did not. Oh.
Starting point is 00:39:12 And he came to my birthday like watch, you know, basketball watch parties. It didn't get me anything. Is there anything out? Any other motive? No man, no motive. Okay. Oh man, I haven't had to pull this card in a long time. Oh yeah, it's been a bit. Years. I haven't had to pull the card in years. I'm just telling you. Look, no, no.
Starting point is 00:39:30 But he's also doing that weird voice. Do you not want me to pull the card? I was order number. 9, 3, 4, 5. So, Eddie, your theory is out the window. Eddie, your theory is out the window. Okay, he did not steal it from the middle. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:39:41 You're saying there's no other motive except you wanted to get Amy a good birthday present. Yeah, I didn't order something for my dad. I hear you. Hold. NLR. NLR, man. Don't be weird. Just say NLR.
Starting point is 00:39:54 If it's NLR, it's NLR, it's NLR. NLR. Why is he going NLR? I have to believe him, though. Because he's saying it. That's our secret code. I know. We throw man in there, though.
Starting point is 00:40:04 I know. I didn't say man the last time. But you go in LR. Man. I didn't say man. Then we're just going to have to trust. We trust. If that's the case,
Starting point is 00:40:13 thank you for thinking of me. I love this gift. It's perfect. And it's great. And also, I do have a man to buy me birthday presents. So it's fine. Yeah. I don't know why he had to throw that shot in here.
Starting point is 00:40:24 Don't do the thing that I did once where I messed up. What? I bought Amy a present for Christmas. It was so much more expensive than when her husband got her. It was not. Well, he was going to get me what you got me. No, he wasn't. Trust me.
Starting point is 00:40:34 What do you mean trust you? He really... I just like saying that. I don't know. You know what I'm worried about them? I bought her a Pelton treadmill and her husband was all like, you still what? And so... Yeah, it wasn't because what you got was better or more expensive.
Starting point is 00:40:47 He was just like, that's the only thing I had on the list of like, what... Well, that's what I knew you wanted to, so I thought I got you. You swooped in and got it first. She's never going to use it. What? She just said she just threw it in the laundry room. No, no. It's in the laundry room.
Starting point is 00:40:59 I'm waiting to get out. No extra motive. That's NLR? I'm absolutely. Oh my God. Why does he keep doing little funny things? You're the man in there again. Okay.
Starting point is 00:41:07 Happy birthday, Amy from Lunchbox. Thank you. Thank you. I hear the questions. What would you do? Question number one. We did scam a lot earlier, but you witnessed a scam. You see someone pretending to be homeless,
Starting point is 00:41:19 but you later spot them driving a luxury car. Like they take their cup and their sign, and at the end, they walk like a block, and they get an Alexis and drive off. Okay. What do you do? Nothing? Do you, you have the ability to record it?
Starting point is 00:41:34 You have the ability to record it, like post on social media. Or you can confront them. You can be like, why are you doing this? And then what if they're like, I'm borrowing this car? And then I've called out a homeless person. They're borrowing a luxury car after pain handling? I don't know. Who's going to loan a luxury car to somebody panhandle?
Starting point is 00:41:52 They go from the cup on the street to a Mercedes? So what would you do if you witness the scam? You see someone who's pretending to be homeless. Yeah. And they have their cup and their sign and you watch them. And you have the ability, let's say to actually record it. What do you do? Anything or nothing, Amy?
Starting point is 00:42:11 I mean, not my problem. Nothing. I'm going to let them be. Eddie? Shake my head and just be like, what's wrong with people? Lunchbox? Film them. Guys, I just saw this person panhandling.
Starting point is 00:42:23 Pull up, miss him. Hey, weren't you the guy, panhandling? I saw that lady give you $2. Oh, you go out and my mom. while it was recording. Got it. That'd be a good TikTok video. Well, that's the point, right? That could be that. I don't think I would record it, but I think I would come and talk about it the next day.
Starting point is 00:42:37 Oh, yeah. Oh, for sure. That's what I would do. I'm like, you've got whatever believe what just happened in this. Yeah. Yeah, we do that. Next up, the restaurant mistake. A waiter forget to charge you for half your meal.
Starting point is 00:42:48 Like literally forgets. Like, nothing wrong happened, but didn't type it all in. You get the bill, it's only half there. Do you say something? Or do you just pay half the bill and leave it alone? And you know it's a mistake. It wasn't something that messed up. It wasn't like happy birthday.
Starting point is 00:43:02 It was an absolute mistake. Amy. Oh. Hey. I mean, if it was a mistake, you just leave it. Let's be on. Okay. We want to honesty here.
Starting point is 00:43:15 So you just pay the bill as is? Say it again. Waiter forget to charge you for half your meal. You and your boyfriend, kids, all there. It's not a hey, happy birthday. We're giving you this free. Oh, so I have to ask about it. because I would just assume, I'm like, am I paying attention to the bill?
Starting point is 00:43:32 Like, I'd really have to be like, oh, okay. If there's like five or six people, the bill is half, you know. Okay, I'm going to say something. Excuse me? I'm going to say something. And they're probably, you know what? Once you do that, they're probably going to be like our mistake. Guess what?
Starting point is 00:43:45 Happy birthday. No, they're not. One, I never said it was your birthday. I just said it wasn't your birthday. Oh. And then two, no, they're not going to do that. As a former waiter myself, no chance. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:43:56 I'm not going to say a word. I'm going to pay the bill. I'm going to sign the copy and I'm going to say, good luck me, good luck Chuck. What about your tip? I'll tip whatever the bill is. So you're going to tip on half of the bill? Not my fault. I mean, I can't guesstimate.
Starting point is 00:44:15 I mean, my math's kind of bad. So it's right there for me. All right, boom, there you go. Eddie. Why would I get them extra? I hate to agree with lunchbox. But why say anything? I mean, it's, I never look at the itemized receipt.
Starting point is 00:44:27 I don't know if they're charged or not. No, we're not going to use... I don't even know what they're talking about. No, you see the bill. And usually if it's like $110 for six people, chilies and everything, and all of a sudden it's $42, you know something's not right. Kids must have three tonight.
Starting point is 00:44:41 It's not birthday. Discount City. Yeah, guys, remember, it's not a birthday. I mean, you go to restaurants all the time. It was an accident. It was an accident. Yeah, you don't say anything, dude. No, you just sign the check, get a credit card,
Starting point is 00:44:53 pay whatever they put on there. Go somewhere and buy ice cream with that extra money. No, that does come back to buy. I say something as somebody waited tables that that waiter is going to have to pay for some of some of that is going to come out of him or her him because it was me so that is going to affect him. Yeah, that's unfortunate. But that's all you said. That's unfortunate. But that is how people learn. Right. And we're helping them learn.
Starting point is 00:45:22 No, I'm just thinking it's like a lesson. I'm going to say something. Say it. But you... Thanks for telling us. You're going to say something. Go ahead. I'm going to say something.
Starting point is 00:45:31 Let a rip. However, you know, when we make mistakes, if people swoop in and rescue us, we don't learn. That's not rescuing. That's being honest. We do that to our children, man. It's tough, tough love.
Starting point is 00:45:44 They learn from their mistakes. I'm glad you guys are being honest, and I'm glad Amy's now being more on this. I am going to say something. But I get where these guys are coming from a little bit. Next up. Final one. The grocery line debate.
Starting point is 00:45:57 someone obviously cuts in front of you in a long checkout line. Do you call them out or do you just let it go and be annoyed? Amy. Oh, I would probably say something like, oh, sorry, I was here first. I was here. What if they don't cut right in front of you? It's like four people up. Oh, I'm not saying anything.
Starting point is 00:46:20 Yeah, not my problem. That's not right in front of you. Okay, not my problem. That's the person they cut in front of. That's their problem. But it's also your problem, too. Yeah, but I'm not, I'm not going to say anything. I'm not that person.
Starting point is 00:46:29 I'm not that person. I'm not going to be like, hey, excuse me, you did you get to the back of the line. I'm not normally that person either, but this is me. You are line cutters. Oh, my God. You would yell from four carts back? I wouldn't yell. I'd make a scene.
Starting point is 00:46:41 What would you say? I'd throw my arms and at first, I put my hands in a wave and just like, just don't care, you know? I go like, hey, you. Are you, do you know that person? And even so, are you paying on the same bill? You do not cut the line. I'll be livid. You still a parking spot.
Starting point is 00:47:00 If I'm sitting there on a blinker on. And let's say I'm on the outside, but you're coming in after me and you take that spot, piss me off. You're in a movie theater and you won't shut up. He's me off. You cut in line. It's the worst. That's the worst to me. That is total disrespect.
Starting point is 00:47:15 And not so much disrespect of everybody in line, but it's that you so value yourself. It's so selfish. Screw off. I throw my hands in the air. I wave them around like I just don't care. and I tell everybody else, they cut. I've done it before. I did an H&M once.
Starting point is 00:47:32 Almost got beat up. Oh, not an H&M. I know. I almost got beat up. Yo, I for sure say something, loud. And I'm not that guy. Loudly, though. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:47:42 Hey, lines back here. Yep. Lines back here. No, no, why you think the lines up there. What if they don't look back at you? Tap on the shoulder. Hey, man, I think you messed up. Lines back there. I think you got a little lost.
Starting point is 00:47:55 I wouldn't touch them. Because I don't touch them. be a woman, but I would do the thing that lunchbox is talking about with the homeless person. I would take my phone out and record and be like, we got us a line cutter right here. We got us a line cutter. Oh my. There's 11 people on this line. This person just cut the line.
Starting point is 00:48:09 That's what I would do that. I hate a line cutter. Eddie? I think I would just tell the people around me like, did you see that? Look at that cutter over there. Then maybe they'll do something because I don't want to do anything about it. But then it evens out because you just don't have a meal from a restaurant. And now you're in line and waiting a little
Starting point is 00:48:27 longer, so it's all evens out, right? Okay. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. Guys, pay attention. This may be my favorite. Tell me something good ever.
Starting point is 00:48:40 Ever. I don't know you've got to cry, but go ahead. Because Trevor Chadwick and his wife are out in Idaho, and they're on their anniversary driving through the snowy mountains when they find a car stranded. And it's a tourist. He's been in the snow for 24 hours. Only has a few chips out of gas.
Starting point is 00:48:57 And Trevor's like, dude. What are you doing? I'm the mayor. Let me help you out. Dug him out. Got some plywood under the tires. Went back to town. Got a tow rope.
Starting point is 00:49:09 Sat there for three hours to get this guy out of the snow. Digging him out. Yep. And he got him out. And you know how we know about this story? Because Trevor, the guy that rescued him, went and put it on social media. He went home and bragged about himself.
Starting point is 00:49:22 That's why I love this telling me something good. If he wouldn't have told anybody, we would never know. There was no news camera. There was no one to report that told me something good. Okay, we're getting off track here. I'd like to present a different perspective at this story. It's someone going, hey, your neighbors are getting stuck out there. And here are some ways that you can actually help by taking plywooding, putting on your tires.
Starting point is 00:49:45 Be sure to take toe ropes with you because I was just with this guy. I don't think this was a completely selfish act. Yeah, but he was really saying, listen, we love you to come to visit Idaho. We love to have you here. But just know, the elements are very serious. and if you're not from here, be prepared. That's it. But he bragged about how he rescued this dude.
Starting point is 00:50:04 That's not. He shared a story. Yeah. Okay. You can have it. So I'd like to say, happy anniversary to Trevor and Amber and congrats on saving a life. That's an anniversary they'll never forget. This whole thing has been twisted.
Starting point is 00:50:21 I don't even have to feel about it. Like, I know it's good, but he's just made it weird now. But I like it. I do like it. That's what it's all about. Thank you. That was tell me something good. A win is a win.
Starting point is 00:50:33 A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Clivert Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. Starting point is 00:50:58 creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. One week, I'll take you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment, and the next we'll talk about life, mental health, purpose, and even music. The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast, it's a space for honest conversations, stories that don't always get told, and for people who are chasing something bigger. So, if you've ever supported me, or you're just chasing down a dream, this is right where you need to be. Listen to the Clivert Show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you're

And then there's your body having its own program. I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes.
Starting point is 00:52:21 Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth with John Hobriant, I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money. What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here? We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts. Too many of us were never, ever talk. Financial education is not always about like, I'm going to get rich.
Starting point is 00:53:01 That's great.
Starting point is 00:53:29 If you're watching the latest season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, you already know there's a lot to break down. Gorsha accusing Kelly of sleeping with a merry man. They holding Kay Michelle back from fighting Drew. Pinky has financial issues. I like the bougie style of Housewives show. I think it looks like it's going to be interesting. On the podcast, Reality with the King, I, Carlos King,
Starting point is 00:53:52 recap the biggest moments from your favorite reality shows, including the show. the Real Housewives, the drama, the alliances, and the T, everybody's talking about.
Starting point is 00:54:24 Hi, hi everyone. I'm Cheryl Strait, author of Wild and Tiny Beautiful Things. I'm excited to share that I have a new podcast called Mind Over Mountain. In each episode, I interview athletes, adventurers, and adrenaline seekers to discuss the inner landscapes and life experiences that informed and inspired their extraordinary feats. I also bring a bit of advice into the mix so we too can better understand how to face our own seemingly insurmountable challenges. Do you know what I'm going to do?
Starting point is 00:54:54 I'm going to pull out what you already have inside. We're coming into this world, fighting for our lives. All I'm going to do is pull out what you already got inside. We're there to support and celebrate each other. And that's not like your story versus my story. You're going to walk up and over that dang mountain. You're not just going to put your mind over it. Yep, yep, exactly.
Starting point is 00:55:13 And if I can't walk up and over it, I'm going to go through it. Listen to Mind Over Mountain every Thursday on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Now time for the morning corny The morning corny. The morning corny. What do you call a cheese when it's all by itself? Prove alone.
Starting point is 00:55:36 That's good. That's pretty good. That was the morning corny. Can I get a drum roll please? Big announcement. Not mine though. Amy's big announcement. Amy over to you.
Starting point is 00:55:54 Amy Overdow! Okay, okay. I have a couple of announcements. Are you talking about my podcast? Amy Overdow! Are you talking about my podcast? Yeah, duh. Okay, my podcast is getting a complete makeover, a rebrand.
Starting point is 00:56:07 It's all Spanish. Oh, lovely. Yes, for Eddie and Mike. No, no. But I think you should restart, like, what's your podcast now? Okay, my podcast is four things with Amy Brown. And the purpose of that was? The purpose of the change?
Starting point is 00:56:22 No, no, of the podcast originally. Origin story. Origin story was I was hosting it by myself and the concept was four different topics each week and interviews and we would hit on four different things. And that served its purpose for years and now we're evolving. And not only that, it did extremely well. This is not an evolution because of any sort of downward spiral. I don't really get too in the weeds because I want to get to our point. Amy's podcast kills.
Starting point is 00:56:51 It does so well She has a diehard fan base It is the of all of our shows of all the Nashville Podcast Network It is barely second I'm in first But still barely But I'm saying she shouldn't be as close to me as she is
Starting point is 00:57:07 It's that good So she's been killing it She's only changing because she feels That you want to move it in a different More positive direction More growth, right? So for the last four years In my bonus episode
Starting point is 00:57:21 I have a co-host on that one. It's called The Fifth Thing and she's a therapist. She's my friend Kat Van Buren. And I decided that we wanted to kind of merge together. She had a podcast for years and years called You Need Therapy. It was good. And so good. And she is stepping away from that and joining my podcast full time.
Starting point is 00:57:42 And we're doing a rebrand. So same feed, new podcast name, which is Feeling Things with Amy and Kat. and the tagline is a podcast for anyone who's ever had feelings or wants to. And really, it's going to be like two girlfriends talking, but it will lean more therapy because she is a therapist. But I think we're all trying to understand our feelings and emotions at times. So you will walk away learning every episode. But also you'll hear about our feelings on pop culture at the moment
Starting point is 00:58:12 or a movie or a TV show or personal things going on in our lives. And I just hope you enjoy it. You can search for things with Amy Brown right now on the future. feed any podcast wherever you listen. The feed is not changing. It's not changing. Same feed, but feeling things is also what you can search and that will pop up. And it's just very exciting.
Starting point is 00:58:30 I feel things. I feel things. Yeah. But sometimes you don't know how to pinpoint what you're feeling. I'm proud of, I know you've been working on this for a while. We'll talk more about it in show number two, which we do podcast only. But Amy has rebranded her podcast. It's now called Feeling Things with Amy and Kat.
Starting point is 00:58:46 I'm very proud of her. She has built a massive platform. and she only wants to make it better and there are always risks when you want to make something better but she is smart enough that I'm like risk away so I'm proud of you thank you and the first official episode is April 1st
Starting point is 00:59:03 April fools no oh great I know but that's on it because the episodes They're still loading Tuesdays and Thursdays and the first Tuesday of the month April 1st lunchmark said he took my advice for something I don't know what it is I give a lot of advice thing most of it's pretty good based off my life experiences but sometimes he makes fun
Starting point is 00:59:25 of me i do not know so i'm handed it over to you go ahead it was like a week week and half and ago and you were like hey lunchbox you should if you spend 30 minutes a day and start applying to things i think you can get your name out there like you don't do anything you just say things you don't do it you got to do it and something will happen i was like you know what i sat at home and i was like maybe bobby was right maybe bobby is on to something so i looked And the Nashville soccer club is looking to hire someone. Is that Major League? The Major League Soccer.
Starting point is 00:59:54 MLS, like the big leagues. Can I just rewind for a second? Do I, do I, did I say that like that? Not like that. But kind of, right? Like, I think my, I think what I was saying to him was, I think he has a lot of ability and there's a lot of things that he can do. And he cries about not getting any work.
Starting point is 01:00:12 But he has the ability if he just will, we'll put the effort in. And would it put. the effort into applying to things and being told no over and over again that eventually someone will see what we see in him and they will like him. I think that's kind of what it was. But yes. Yes. So you see. Well, I didn't see it. Sales lady came to me and was like, hey, they want to know if you'd be interested. And I'm like, oh, absolutely. So I looked it up, found it online. They wanted a resume. I didn't even know how to make a resume. And so my wife made me a resume. Speaking of your parents when you went to college.
Starting point is 01:00:47 Oh, they filled out my mom filled out my college application. What about when you applied to Sam's or Jason's Deli? No, I filled those out. Oh, well, good. But you didn't have to submit a resume? Just the application. Do you think you had to have a resume for Sam's Club? Are you serious?
Starting point is 01:01:01 That's a good point. Okay, fair enough, go ahead. So I didn't know how to make a resume. So my wife made me a resume and I sent it off, man. My name is in the hat for the end stadium hosting gig. Man, I'd love to see that resume. So, like, what does that mean? Like, what is that role?
Starting point is 01:01:17 Can you hand it to, can you print it out and give it to me? I can play a song when you come back and that would be awesome. Well, then I need someone to explain me what it in stadium. He'll be the hype guy. He's on the mind going, hey, we're with Jim, Jim, you got 30 seconds, see if he can kick goals. Okay. Yeah. Maybe go to that.
Starting point is 01:01:32 Do you have the ability to find the resume? Yeah, I'll just have to ask my wife where she put it. Because I think I had to put it on a website. You only made one and sent it off? That's it. How many are you going to make? But making. one is, there's not just one if it's on your computer.
Starting point is 01:01:49 Yeah, I'll ask her where it is. Okay, so we don't have it now. Not right, like, this, like, actual moment? Yeah. No, I just don't have it. Okay. Like, I uploaded it to some website. Oh, boy.
Starting point is 01:02:01 Just find it. Maybe later we'll check in. Yeah, yeah, I'll check in. So you sent it off, how many days ago? Like, three days ago. Feel pretty good about it? I feel great, man. I mean, the fact that they asked if I'd be interested in it, I'm like, huh.
Starting point is 01:02:15 Who asked if you? you'd be interested. The sales girl. But did they ask her? Right. I'd assume they asked her. Why else would she come to me? She was like, I was talking to Nashville SC.
Starting point is 01:02:28 And were they like, were looking for somebody and she's like, came and told you, I think you would crush that job. I think there's not a better job perfect. Yeah, I agree. And I hope you get it. What's next? They said they'd let me know in a week or so. Mm-hmm. So I'm just waiting.
Starting point is 01:02:49 So we're waiting on, see if Nina needs picked up by the airport. A lot of waiting. And then we got to wait to see if lunchbox gets the job. Yeah. Okay. Have you followed up? What do you follow up? Oh, boy.
Starting point is 01:03:00 Why would you follow up? Maybe not, yeah. It's probably too soon to follow up. Three days is never too soon. But if they said we'll get back to you in a week. Who gives a crap? You want to be the person that is like, you want to be kind of annoying. Okay, be annoying.
Starting point is 01:03:13 Go show up to the office. You should monitor. You're not going to show up to the office. Why not? Why not? I'm telling you, everybody's like, I don't want to be annoying. I don't want to follow up too quickly. I don't.
Starting point is 01:03:26 There's one wheel that gets greased, and that's the one that squeaks. If you showed up to the office during business hours and you found out who the person was making the hire and is like, hey, I applied. I just want to say in person that I would love to do this job. I like to show you. I would hire that person almost on the spot. What should he wear? Nashville C shirt
Starting point is 01:03:46 He's got jerseys Yeah I'm just saying Like we need to help him Like he can't just show up A hoodie Yeah National S C hoodie Yes
Starting point is 01:03:53 Okay yes Are you sure Or should he wear something More professional Well I may a tuxedo Be pretty cool If I'm being honest If I were like gonna trick him
Starting point is 01:04:00 That'd be funny Okay here's what they're looking for I found it online Individuals available for 6 to 8 hours 15 to 20 times per year Available to an all necessary in person
Starting point is 01:04:08 And virtual training Someone who enjoy speaking and interacting with others In a warm and respectful manner we'll work on that one. Able to stay and walk or walk up and downstairs throughout an event. Must enjoy helping others and working within a team environment. Proactive and seeking out positive interactions with both guest co-workers and main positive relationships.
Starting point is 01:04:26 This is you. This is you. Go to the freaking building. Find the person who's over this and go to the building and drop off something. You know what else I did? A cover letter. Yeah, that's called a resume. Yeah, that's part of the resume.
Starting point is 01:04:38 Yeah. Okay. So, like, what should he drop off? Soccer mall? Donuts. It's like decorated like soccer balls. All this is for everybody listening. If you feel like you're being kind of annoying whenever you want something,
Starting point is 01:04:53 you're competing against other people. Other people want the same thing. Now what are you going to do when you compete? Are you going to sit back and just let the judges make their decision based on everything being fair and everybody just sitting on their thumbs? No. If you don't get picked while doing extra effort, that's on them. The last thing you want to do is not get picked.
Starting point is 01:05:14 You sat back and did nothing other than the minimal. All right. So you literally could figure out who the whole team is. You could drop off donuts. You could make a video, find their email. You can send the donuts. And then once you know the donuts are there, an hour later, send the email, be like, I sent the donuts.
Starting point is 01:05:32 I want to do it. It's anything, anything extra. All right. Maybe I'll send them cookies with my face on it. Yeah. That's good, too. Don't ever forget you. You know, whatever.
Starting point is 01:05:42 Just do extra. Okay. If you want extra to be done for you, you need to do extra. So I'm proud of if you're doing that. I think you would be excellent at this job. Now go and get the job. Okay. Because they may already have somebody in mind and the only way to change their mind is to do something that changes where their mind is right now in the process.
Starting point is 01:06:05 All right. Are we going to commercial? I'm not going to crap. Because I've got to go. Oh, no, you can't go right now. Oh. But I would do it. But I would do it today if I were you.
Starting point is 01:06:12 Okay. Okay. We're rooting for him, right? It's awesome, man. We got to work on that respectful talking thing. Yeah. Other than that, we got it. And get your resume, and we'll go over it.
Starting point is 01:06:21 We want to hear it. I'm going to hit my wife. No, no, no. Hit her up. That's one of those respectful talking thing we're talking about. Okay. Wake up, you wake up in the morning. And you turn the radio on and the dial just keeps on turn.
Starting point is 01:06:41 You're ready and me lunchbox. Steve Redavit trying to put you through Mike Dees writing this week's next bit Now Bobby's on the mic so you know what this is This is the Bobby Vaughy Vaughn's store Happy birthday Kenny Happy birthday Kenny Chesney Also announces in the country music call the fame going in
Starting point is 01:07:06 Saw that That's pretty cool birthday present Really good What do you think Amy his top streaming song is Um Um Oh His, the duet with, no?
Starting point is 01:07:19 American kids, number one. Kenny Chesney released his debut album in 1994, 56 years old today. He steadily rose to fame, becoming one of the bestselling country artists of all time, with over 30 million albums sold. I was going to do a thing where I was going to text Kenny just now. We're going to see how long until he responded, because sometimes he's on a beach and the island. Here's the thing I do with Kenny on my phone. I never save it because I don't ever want to text him. You don't have his number?
Starting point is 01:07:44 I do somewhere in my phone. He texts me. It's not about self-control. I never just want to like text Kenny. I got a text Kenny. I know. So then I have to like search for keywords. So what would be a keyword for Kevin?
Starting point is 01:07:57 I don't know. Beach. Sand? Well, he doesn't talk to me about stuff he writes songs about guys. Tequila. No, no, no. I think you're missing the point. He doesn't text me about things he writes songs about.
Starting point is 01:08:08 Cold plunge. Key West. I'll go through and see if I can find. But I purposefully don't save it because I don't ever want to be like, I'm gonna get Kenny him, see what's going on. Yeah. So I'm gonna find it, but we're gonna do the bit and see if you're, but yeah, I do have my favorite Kenny songs.
Starting point is 01:08:26 I don't like Beach Kenny. That's crazy. There's a few Kennies, yeah. I like, I like some of it. I love like sad Kenny. Emo Kenny. Yeah, Beach Kenny, not my thing. Emo Kenny, my thing.
Starting point is 01:08:38 What category did those three thongs? Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa. Sorry, sorry. Those three songs you just played, they're not emo. Kenny, they're not really Beach Kenny, so which ones are those? Just like... Country Boy Kenny? Just down the middle. Down the middle, Kenny. I don't mind down the middle, Kenny.
Starting point is 01:08:54 Yeah, I also don't mind Beach Kenny, but it's not drawn to Kenny for Beach, because I don't like the beach. It's not a Kenny thing, it's a beach thing. There's also Cowboy Kenny, right? Like Tractor Sexy? Yeah, early Kenny. Yeah. Ninety-four Kenny. Thong Kenny. I'm not a big fan of Thong Kenny. I'll be honest with you.
Starting point is 01:09:11 And then I have things you may not know about him. I've also been scrolling, going through numbers that I don't have saved. to try to text them. I just don't. Have you tried just typing in Kenny? Yeah, I didn't show up because why would I write that too? Yeah, that'd be weird. He may be like, hey, Bobby, it's Kenny.
Starting point is 01:09:27 Or, hey. I got him. What was the key word? Speer. Oh, that works? Yeah, yeah, I get it. I got him, spear. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:37 Yeah, that makes sense. In Vegas. In Vegas. Yeah. Okay, things you may not know about Kenny Chesney. He was in the high school marching band. Before becoming a country star, I played saxophone in the marching band. Well, that's cool.
Starting point is 01:09:47 Saxifan? Saxophone. Saxophone. Sax a thong. Saxathon. He recorded his first demo for $250. His first ever professional recording session cost him $250. It helped him land his first publishing deal, which is a writing deal in Nashville.
Starting point is 01:10:01 He never won a Grammy despite being one of the most successful country artists ever. Kenny has been nominated for Grammys, but has never won one. At number three, he sold 1,000 copies of his first album. That's it. But from his car, before signing a record deal, he recorded an independent album and sold copies himself to fund has moved to Nashville. Number two, he lived in his car when he first moved to Nashville. Like many struggling musicians, Kenny had tough times when he first moved to Music City, sleeping in his car while chasing his dream. And number one, he almost became a journalist. He originally
Starting point is 01:10:30 planned to work in advertising or journalism full time before deciding to pursue country music full time. I'm going to text him. It's 26 after right now. He has not seen 56 at all. No. And if he's on, I'm just going to say this. Hey, man, congrats on the Hall of Fame and Happy Birthday. You have any unreleased sad songs? I can listen to. I love those. Ha, ha.
Starting point is 01:11:13 Dude, I don't know. I just need more than just what I was doing. Yeah, that's good. He's turning 56, 5'6 is 11. I'm not doing that. Whatever we're going, I'm not doing that. Astrology. It's a two year for him, I think.
Starting point is 01:11:25 A two year? Let's see what that means. I think I like my dumb way. Yeah. You just say if we get like a song. Do you have any unreleased sad song? Send him my way, please. Hey, man.
Starting point is 01:11:36 Congrats on the Hall of Fame and happy birthday. I'm going to say, if you have any unreleased sad songs, I can listen to. Hit me up. It's like his birthday. You're asking for something? I'm going to say, oh no, hit me up. My birthday's in a week. Perfect.
Starting point is 01:11:54 Yeah. In a week. I love those. Ha ha. I'm going to do ha ha with no emoji. Seriously, love you, dude. Okay, boom. And at the time, it is 27 minutes and 49 seconds.
Starting point is 01:12:11 And go. Boom, sent. Man, that might be a 24-hour reply. It might be a never-reply, honestly. Maybe. with the will you send me an unreleased sad song? He's like, walk. Let's, let's jump, Ray, and then we can come back and see one if Kenny responds.
Starting point is 01:12:35 Guys. What? He was on to Amy. He's like, thong, huh? But I was wrong. 11 is a master number, so you don't break it down. You aren't wrong. None of us even knows.
Starting point is 01:12:44 No, no, no, no, care. You're wrong to stop us. This is the year of Kenny's interim. spiritual insight and hide the of today's show a listener just message and said we should make bets on if Kenny ever responds or when he's going to respond over under will he respond before the end of the hour yes or no no i have a question 25 minutes left yes did you sign your name that's a good question that's a funny question that is not meant to be hurtful but no because you don't have him saved in your phone and what if he doesn't the reason
Starting point is 01:13:19 I don't have him saved in my phone is because I don't want to just randomly be like, I feel like reaching out to Kenny. I don't ever feel like in his life he's ever like, I sure would like to reach out to Bobby, but I don't think I will. Yeah. I bet you are saved, but sometimes we get new phones. We get new. There could be lots of reasons.
Starting point is 01:13:34 So just that could impact the reply if he's trying to figure out. So what do you think? First is your reply within the hour. Anybody want to say yes to that? I say yes to that. Are you just being positive? No, I actually say yes to that because he's our early riser. I think that...
Starting point is 01:13:50 Anybody think he'll respond before noon? Yeah. No. Okay, so you got to, yeah, you got a, you got a, you got a, you got a, you got a, no. Anybody think he already responded? No, no chance. Fair enough. Well, I would win if that's the case.
Starting point is 01:14:02 Yes. Anybody think he'll never respond. Well, then that would mean he got a new number. Fair? I'm going to go with never. Never? I'm going to go to never. No, I think he'll respond.
Starting point is 01:14:13 It's just, I don't think he's a, have your phone on you all the time type of guy. He may be at the gym. so it may be later tonight. He already responded. No way! I sent the message at 827, he sent it back at 830. Okay. Wow.
Starting point is 01:14:30 What do you say? I mean, well, okay, so I'll give you what I can give you without giving you what I feel like is a private text. Okay. There's nothing bad, but I'm just not going to say, I'm not going to have people think they text me. I'll read their text on the air. I said, hey, man, congrats on the Hall of Fame.
Starting point is 01:14:45 Happy Birthday. If you have any unreleased sad songs, I can listen to hit me at my birthdays in a week. I love those. Ha-ha. Seriously, love you, dude. He said, man, thanks a lot, I appreciate that text. When is your birthday?
Starting point is 01:14:53 He's going to ready to send me a song, right? And I'm like, it's Tuesday. I'm just playing about the song. I said, but we're talking on the air about your Hall of Fame and your birthday. All my favorites are your slow ones. And he says, what I will say here. Hey, thank you. Hey, come to this place, Vegas, sphere, and let's do that some stuff together.
Starting point is 01:15:12 Hang out. So that's what it was. And then we kept talking for a while. Whoa, whoa, what else you're talking about? Nothing. Nothing. Other stuff. Doesn't matter.
Starting point is 01:15:19 It doesn't matter. What? You go into Vegas to see them? I would like to see that show on the sphere. Yeah, that would be awesome. And I like Kenny. But sometimes I'm afraid I would just text them out of nowhere. But now I have saved him on my phone now, so now I'm going to be texting on midnight.
Starting point is 01:15:34 I know. So Amy, you are the winner. Thank you. What do I get? Nothing. And happy birthday to Kenny. And who also got nothing from his first birthday. So everybody gets nothing today.
Starting point is 01:15:43 Here. Looks like a Canadian dime. Whoa. That's nice. There you go. Ready? Catch it. Catch it.
Starting point is 01:15:51 All right. I would never not catch it. Oh, well, you didn't catch it. It got blocked. Landed on the table. My computer, but. All right, in the news, how many times should you contact your spouse during the day? However many you need.
Starting point is 01:16:05 Generally, let's see you don't need. Three. Yeah, three, four. Yeah, go two. Relationship, ex-mercations. You pick up the phone and physically call your significant other at least three times during the workday. Wow. Come on.
Starting point is 01:16:18 There are people that don't reach out to their spouses during the workday. I don't normally. Why would you? My wife, though, sent me a video this morning. I'd like to show you. It's a box of cereal. It's a kind of cereal because it doesn't have much sugar in it. This is not a commercial.
Starting point is 01:16:34 It's called Three Wishes, and you probably can't see it, Amy, but I don't know if you can see. Yeah, it's open. It's kind of, I'm done. I've already had my cereal. It's kind of open, but I just kind of folded it in, whatever. Like a child. Then she sends me a video literally of her opening the box. and then flapping it together with the flap.
Starting point is 01:16:54 It was made to close it. That's how you do it. And then that's the whole video. So that right there is an example of that's what parents do to the kids with their cereal boxes. No, I stopped doing that a long time ago. Why? Because they do that crap. You're a child.
Starting point is 01:17:10 You're doing what our kids do. I do what I've always done. Right. Right. And our kids do the same. And I just thought that was funny. That's all that she sent me. That was her reaching out.
Starting point is 01:17:20 Is that going to change things? Are you going to know how to close it now? I'll not remember that in about an hour. But next time you eat cereal? I hear you. The other thing that I do is I cut a hole way too big in the top of the bag. Because you know when you pour it? So I cut a hole way too big.
Starting point is 01:17:35 And then you can't, I can't really get the fold to go all the way down. So it's like some of it's exposed. And I'm like, well, since it's exposed, I'll just eat the whole box. Okay. Waste not, whatnot. That doesn't even make sense. It doesn't. How many times?
Starting point is 01:17:48 Finding reasons to eat the whole box. I love cereal. That's from the female brain by Luan Brisbane Dine. I would say once, probably. Mostly just a question. Because a lot of times I will go home and work. I'll leave here and go right home to work to go, hey, the whole crew is going to be there at 1130, heads up. That counts, right?
Starting point is 01:18:07 Yeah. Yeah. Next up. United Airlines flight to China forced to U-turn as a pilot realizes he doesn't have his passport. Oh, no. That's from the New York Post. I'm thinking about this last night because I'm going over some notes.
Starting point is 01:18:25 I'm reading this story. I think I want to share it because I thought it was funny. I just keep going if I'm the pilot. And deal with it when you get there? They're not going to put you in jail. They're not going to let you go into China. But they'll probably let you sleep in a pot or something and get out of town. So I'm not going to turn the flight around.
Starting point is 01:18:41 I'm just going to act. I'm not going to acknowledge I don't have it. I'm going to get there and do the thing where I'm like, what's somewhere in my pocket. Unless there's some. some super law that I don't know where if you land in China don't have it, they shoot you. I'm just going to get there and be like, oh my God, I can't. Or it must have fallen out in my pocket somewhere in the ocean.
Starting point is 01:19:01 Did they have to tell the passengers why they're going back? Well, they know now. Just two hours into the 13 plus hour trip, the flight had turned around and divert. It was discovered one of the captains did not have their passport. The plane reportedly touched at about 5 p.m. The luckily, very generous. The 257 passengers were given $15 meal vouchers. Oh, how sweet.
Starting point is 01:19:22 No, stop. Stop. I'd be so mad. Like, what if you needed to get to China on time for something? You know what? If you're cutting it that close to China, though, you should have got it. You left the day earlier. A meeting.
Starting point is 01:19:35 Yeah, if you're like, depending on a 45-minute landing to China, yeah, we got problems. They're bigger than that. Next up. Airbnb CEO shares the most bizarre customer complaint to date, they say. The co-founder and CEO of Airbnb, his name's Brian, he shared the most bizarre customer complaint he's ever had. One day, a customer calls us and says, they want a full refund. We say, why do you want a full refund? They said because the house is haunted and there's a ghost in the house.
Starting point is 01:20:03 So we call the host, and all the host has to do is deny it because there's no photo evidence that ghosts. Well, unfortunately, the host confirms the ghost, says that it's a friendly ghost named Stanley and that the ghost, Stanley, is in the listing description. Stanley is mentioned. So we go back to the guest, and the guest says, yes, we knew about Stanley. That's why we booked it, but Stanley has been harassing us all night. How do you adjudicate that?
Starting point is 01:20:30 That's pretty funny. So this is what you probably do, because all this is funny, and it doesn't matter. It's one time, and it's a good laugh. But you give that person their money back, but this house all of a sudden is in crazy demand now because people want to go and hang out where ghosts are. That's from at the startup, Bell.
Starting point is 01:20:44 Well, police in New York discovered a woman who was allegedly working as a fake dentist for eight years. Now, what I would want to know is the judge is how good it worked did she do? Anybody gets sick, anybody die. You're still going to have a, there's going to be a penalty here. But if you're able to make it eight years and you helped a lot of people, I'm going to probably clop you out a lot of classes. You're still going to have to get, I'm not going to totally say you did everything. You can't do it. If you do it and it goes bad and you get caught, the long hand of the law should deal with you.
Starting point is 01:21:19 Was she operating in an office where she looked like a legit dentist or was it out of her house or? A search of a home revealed a fully functioning dentist office. So it was in her house. It looks like a real dentist office. All the stuff. That's in her house. Yes, but all the stuff. Like the chairs, the wires that go places.
Starting point is 01:21:35 Yes. But in her house, she was doing dental work without training or license. She did not use anesthesia. She used a local anesthesia. but no one was getting it for the complex dental procedure she was doing. She was a full service dentist. And I will also say this and maybe I'm more sensitive to this because I didn't go to the dentist as a kid. We couldn't afford it.
Starting point is 01:21:53 This would have been what we would have had to find to go. And I'm not trying to be sad. Sack Billy here, but it's like you can't do this because if you allow it, other people will do it. Other people will get hurt and die. There'll be infections. They'll do bad things. But if she did it for eight years, didn't get caught, did a good job. I think the long hand, there's a picture of Jesus.
Starting point is 01:22:16 Do you see it? Jesus is looking over people. Right on the counter in front of the chair. Oh, that's nice. I think that you go a little easier and you give her an opportunity to share her story and have a good comeback. So was she giving people a deal? I don't say anything about her prizes. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:35 Because I get it. If she's providing a service, yes, for people that otherwise wouldn't be able to get care. But we don't know what she was charging people. But I would imagine she's charging people. less because they could have gone to a real dentist not in someone's house. Yeah, she probably doesn't take insurance. I'd imagine she does not take insurance.
Starting point is 01:22:52 I would imagine that's correct. ABC 7, New York with that. And I'll give you one more. Teachers arrested after doing a cartwheel and a dress. And there's more. She wasn't wearing underwear. Stop, I knew you're about to say that. And this is from at News 6498 on TikTok.
Starting point is 01:23:06 Here's the news report. Over the past few days, this Snapchat video of substitute teacher Lacey sponsor doing a cartwheel. in front of a Puska High School choir class without anything under her dress is circling the internet and landed her behind bars. A sponsor told students she didn't have any underwear on before doing a cartwheel. They say she also told students to destroy the video. Pahuska schools released this statement today saying they take the safety of its students
Starting point is 01:23:33 seriously and sponsor is no longer allowed to work at the school in the future. That always works, by the way. There are two things at work when you say it. Number one is relax. Always works with your wife. Yeah. Relax. And number two is, hey, destroy that video.
Starting point is 01:23:49 Those two always work. Yeah. And by always, I mean, I never. That's your news. Thank you. Those were Bobby's big. Stories. Bobby Bones show.
Starting point is 01:23:59 Bonehead. Norrie of the day. This story comes us from St. Petersburg, Florida. A 31-year-old man was out, having a good time. And he's like, man, I got to go home. He walks out and he sees a cop car with the lights flash. gets in the backseat and says, hey, I need a ride home. How'd a boy?
Starting point is 01:24:15 And the cops like, how'd that go? Sir, you're going to need, I'm going to let you out of the car. This is a cop car. And he goes, no, no, man, I'm going to need a ride home. I've been drinking. Then how'd that go? I gave him a ride to the jail. I hear you.
Starting point is 01:24:30 Maybe you just take him home, though. Right, he was doing the right thing. He was not trying to drive. He needed a ride home. There's got to be some more to the story. A tad. I don't know, but I like it, better than driving home.
Starting point is 01:24:44 But you can't have jumped in the bag of a cop. Yeah, that's a problem. Okay. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead story of the day. Scarlett Johansson does not want to take photos with fans when she's not working. I'll read you the story from the New York Post. The Black Widow Star revealed she has implemented boundaries with passionate fans while she's away from the movie set or an event. She says it offends a lot of people.
Starting point is 01:25:07 It doesn't mean I'm not appreciative. The two-time Oscar nominee added she doesn't want to be self-finding. conscious all the time in public while trying to just be yourself and have her own thoughts and not always be the person on the movie screen. So here are my thoughts on this. Uh, you do you. That's it. You don't want to take picture of people? Don't take picture of people. People are going to ask you. Don't be rude to the people when they ask you. Like when you become famous and you're in a public place, people are going to see a famous person in a public place and go, oh, can I get a picture? I think that's absolutely okay. And it's absolutely okay for you to go,
Starting point is 01:25:41 very nicely politely I'm sorry I'm really not doing pictures today I don't I don't in my personal time
Starting point is 01:25:49 I don't do that and that can also be respected like two things can happen at once so I'd be disappointed if I was like
Starting point is 01:25:56 Carl Johanson can I get a picture and she's like I'm at Walgar Indians I'm getting some nasal spray I don't really feel my best but I'd be disappointed
Starting point is 01:26:05 but that's okay I think boundaries are okay I cannot like your boundary but I can appreciate and respect your boundary. So Scarlett Johansson, I'm cool with it. As long as you're not getting upset of people still asking for them while you're out. Yeah, it sounds like she'll let them down in a kind way. I don't know, so I don't know.
Starting point is 01:26:26 But I can also understand not in the full understanding of somebody being so famous that everywhere you go, people look at you all the time. Like, I don't get that. Mine is on a molecular level of that. But I can understand it just feels weird when people are recording you when you're just walking around and so me mostly I'm like oh cool
Starting point is 01:26:50 somebody thinks I'm madder as neat But if she's like for I get it I like people am mad at her for this I think the fact that she's saying it out loud although not the most positive pleasant thing that you don't want to hear I love honesty and transparency
Starting point is 01:27:02 more than I love positivity for the sake of it being positive so I'm team Scarlet Johansson but I just hope when someone asked for a picture she's like oh thank you for asking, I just really don't take pictures in my personal time. Then I think that's fine.
Starting point is 01:27:16 But she's like on a red carpet or someone stops her. If she's dressed like Black Widow, you take the picture. It's like is your personal time or are you working right now? I don't know. If you're in full leather, doing backflips, you take a picture. Yeah. So it could be diva. It could be normal. It doesn't matter what it is to you. It's her life. She has the right to control it and create her own boundaries. So I'm with it. I'd be disappointed if I ask.
Starting point is 01:27:41 but I'm with it. That's it for the show today. Thank you. There's also a new episode of Lots to Say, the NFL, the football show that I do with Matt Castle, former NFL quarterback. That's up. Go check that out if you don't mind.
