In 2023, Bachelor star Clayton Eckerd was accused of fathering twins. But the pregnancy appeared to be a hoax. You doctored this particular test twice, Ms. Ellen's, correct? I doctored the test ones.
Starting point is 00:02:02 It took an army of internet detectives to uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Gillespie and Michael Marencini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trapped. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences.
Starting point is 00:02:22 Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, everyone? I'm Ago Wode. My next guest, it's Will Ferrell. My dad gave me the best advice ever. He goes, just give it a shot. But if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration.
Starting point is 00:02:48 It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot in life. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, everybody? Welcome to Wednesday show.
Starting point is 00:03:21 Morning. Kelsey Grammer had another kid, so he has eight kids. That's not the crazy part. But his eighth kid when he's 70 years old. Yeah, that's crazy. Like, what's this kid going to remember? I don't know. His dad being super old?
Starting point is 00:03:41 Yes. Yeah? Oh. But I bet his mom's pretty young if I had to guess. He is young. Okay. Yeah. But so, no.
Starting point is 00:03:50 Compared to dad. Yeah, but everybody is compared to dad. But 46 is not 25. Right. Yeah. So he said they already have three kids together because he has, again, now eight in total. But he just had his wild. That's bizarre.
Starting point is 00:04:07 I don't know that I'm going to do bizarre. Well, I just don't understand why you'd want to do that. Maybe he didn't want to do that. Maybe it happened and he's like, well, we have a kid. You're pregnant now. After eight times. After seven times. Like at some point, you decide you're going to fix things.
Starting point is 00:04:25 Maybe his religious belief is just not snip, snip, snip. Possibly. I don't know that's the case. But yeah, he has, his oldest kid is 41. Wow. That's nuts. And he has an infant born this month. Yeah, that's wild.
Starting point is 00:04:41 We were shopping yesterday. We went shopping for a changing table. And I was like, why do we need a change table? We have a kitchen table. No, no, no, no. No, you need a changing table. We have a kitchen table. We got a bar.
Starting point is 00:04:54 You got lots of tables. But what about in the big... We got an island. A coffee table. We can get a coffee table. Yeah, and the nursery, you have the changing table. I got a whole theory about nurseries, too. Babies don't know nurseries.
Starting point is 00:05:04 We can just keep the guest room as it is and put a crib and bassinet in there. You could do that. Yeah. Why do we need to do a nursery? I need to put... The baby doesn't know the... the difference. It doesn't know anything. Yeah. That's a dumb. Babies are dumb until they're smart.
Starting point is 00:05:18 So we went to look for a changing table. Didn't quite find one. But I'm like, we could get any table. We can move any table in the house up there. The changing table does have a pad on it. A lip. Yeah. I'm familiar with the lip. Okay. And then like shelves for storage. Like, because you're going to need wipes. Yep. Yeah. Put them on the corner of the room on the floor. Just grab them.
Starting point is 00:05:40 Yeah. I mean, when you're on the road with a baby, like you're in someone's house. I was like you don't have a changing table. Exactly. You use whatever you got. Exactly. That's my thought. I mean, you're not wrong.
Starting point is 00:05:50 It's like, well, who is all this for? You know, when you have this like elaborate nursery. We could make the nursery room into like multiple TVs. Ooh, game room? Yes, at the same time because the baby's not going to know the difference. Do you think some of this is because you growing up didn't have a nursery or a room? You're in my face. Did you, Bobby?
Starting point is 00:06:13 Did you have a nursery girl? He did not. He didn't. I think I was raised like Mowgli. I think guys raised by wolves or something. No. No. Right.
Starting point is 00:06:25 I think so. I mean, so like this is a foreign concept to you. Yes. Yes. And obviously to my wife too, because we've not had kids, but she's like, no, I think we need this. So I'm in. I didn't push back. I was just like, we have a lot of tables.
Starting point is 00:06:41 And her parents, like she probably did have a cute little nursery. I'm sure she did. So in person, you're like, yeah, that sounds good. But then you had to come here and tell us, she's dumb? Kind of. In person, I was like, why don't we need a changing table? We have a lot of tables that the baby can change on. We can take it to any table in the house.
Starting point is 00:06:59 And she's like, no, there's a reason we want to keep it up near where the baby's, who knew there's a difference in a bassinet and a crib. Yeah. Oof, I don't know the difference. Yes, yes, yes, you do. A bassinet's like a little thing that you can keep next to your. bed or something, like a basket-ish type thing. And then a crib.
Starting point is 00:07:16 I thought it just was like the junior varsity crib. It just grows into the, like, you like, I could be wrong. Y'all may do this. I'm sure everybody's different. I don't know, because I never had a baby baby. But like my sister, her kids would like sleep in their room with them in the bassinet for a little bit.
Starting point is 00:07:33 And then they graduate and move up to their crib. Hey, I'm all for the baby sleeping in our room because I'll be in the guest room. Oh, right. You won't be there. Is that how it works? Bassinet to crib. There are six differences, apparently. I didn't know what a bassinet was.
Starting point is 00:07:52 So I don't know what change table was. But you got a bassinet already, right? I don't know. I don't think so. You know what you need? A pack and play. If I have to hear what I need one more time for people. Eddie, he's going to be like, we don't need a pack and play.
Starting point is 00:08:05 You just put it in the corner with some guard rails. Yeah, yeah, don't do that. You need a pack and play. especially if you go somewhere, that's like a portable crib. You think Bobby's going to go somewhere? Well, you're right. So I'm going to go anywhere. My wife got a little irritated at me because I was like, you know, once the baby's
Starting point is 00:08:20 here, we're not leaving the house for like a year. You're like, perfect. This is like your dream. And she's like, you're out of your mind. And I'm like, no, no, no, you don't leave with that thing. You make sure keep it insulated. So obviously I have no idea what I'm doing. But yeah, we couldn't find a changing table that we wanted.
Starting point is 00:08:41 I guess we're going to order one online. I've been watching some YouTube's though. Are you going to put all this stuff together? No. Okay. Why would I do that? Because usually that's what... No.
Starting point is 00:08:52 I'm not 24 and broke. I think if I were that... So you want me to come over? No, I haven't... Don't they come put together? No, they don't. Oh, really? Depending on what company you hire, you can pay for a simply.
Starting point is 00:09:04 Like, I get it. Or where you buy it from, you can pay for a simply. Online? If I'm a new dad and I'm young and we're figuring it out financially, I get it. You put it all together. Oh. If you're me, no, it comes together. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:09:14 Yeah. Should have waited. Yeah, should have waited. So, yeah, that's it. So we've got to find a changing table. We didn't find one. We're going to order one online. But you know what else is weird?
Starting point is 00:09:23 Swaddling. Oh, you're going to get good at that. But it's just weird. It's like you're putting them in baby jail. Yeah, but they like a straight jacket. They were in baby jail in the tummy. Yeah, I hear you. But then I feel like I want to raise a, to be free.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Oh. Yeah. To be held back by life's limitation. I think, but sometimes you should also consider swaddling yourself. Well, we did that on the show once. Yeah. I was swaddled? I think I swaddled you.
Starting point is 00:09:49 Yeah, because it's comforting. Did you like that? I don't remember if you liked it or not. I liked it for a second. But I think only because you did it. I like that. Yeah, it felt really comfortable to me. Oh, Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 00:10:17 I got a late wedding invitation from someone. I thought I would definitely be on their A list for wedding invites, but I wasn't and now I don't really want to attend. I only go to a wedding on the B list if I think it's going to be a lot of fun and I think the reception will be awesome. But the fact that I got a late invite and I don't think the wedding is that fun, I don't think I want to go. Do you have a policy on being someone's B list wedding invite or do you always go if you're free? Sign wedding B-lister. I've never thought about this.
Starting point is 00:10:47 Me neither. I like not one time in my life have I thought about being an A versus B-lister. They're also assuming that they're B-Less because they got it late. What if they were just late sending out invites? Yeah, unless they know somebody who got the invite like a month earlier. Okay. If you want to go, go. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:04 If you don't want to go, don't go. This is one of those things where you're putting way too much emphasis on something that doesn't matter to anybody but you. Again, you don't even know if you were B-List. You probably were if it's close to the wedding. But also, they don't have to invite people. There aren't seats that have to be filled at weddings. You may not be B-List. You might be like, oh, shoot.
Starting point is 00:11:21 We forgot? We forgot? Yeah. That's pretty bad. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. I think the part of this email that's like, hey, I only go if I want to have fun. Okay, that's what you should do here.
Starting point is 00:11:32 Yeah. If you think it'll be fun. If you're close enough to the people, you go. If not. Don't go. Yeah, you're putting way too much emphasis on something that does not matter at all. They probably like to see you there. They'd probably like a gift from you.
Starting point is 00:11:45 Maybe the opposite order or two. They'd probably like a gift from you first and see you there. But if you don't want to go, don't go. but I would not assign that you are lesser than somebody else because of how you got this invitation. Right. That's all I would say. You're making a mountain out of a mole hill.
Starting point is 00:11:59 I made that up. That's what they say. I haven't seen any mole hills in a while, though. All right, there you go. Close it up. All right, a little segment we call, Tell me something bad. All right, something that's annoyed you, okay?
Starting point is 00:12:09 And I'll go first. Did you know? By the way, daylight savings time, November 2nd. Okay. Coming right up. This weekend, Saturday night, well, it's Sunday morning, but it feels like Saturday night.
Starting point is 00:12:20 Yeah, yeah, yeah. So it sucks already. It's already dark. It's dark all the time. Yeah. So bad news, that's happening. And then they're saying now, this is the really bad part, that you should start gradually shifting your schedule, moving your meals.
Starting point is 00:12:36 If you take a nap and your bedtime, 10 to 15 minutes earlier each day leading up, nobody's doing that. No, I don't know. It's dumb anyway. It's so dark here. It's dark here at 4 o'clock. already. Maybe that's a little exaggeration, but it will be dark here at like 4.30 or so.
Starting point is 00:12:55 It's getting dark early. So my telling me something bad is we're about to lose an hour of daylight. So, yeah, that sucks. Amy? Yeah, I got some newsletter with the headline. New study says divorce can kill. Oh. And the study was entitled divorce and death.
Starting point is 00:13:10 And what they found was that people who go through divorce end up with a shorter lifespan. Yeah, why? I guess. Do they get murdered? No, it just means you have other complications that show up, like comparable to smokers, heavy drinkers, and obesity. Is it because you start drinking, smoking, or eating more? No.
Starting point is 00:13:35 But I think it's a stress that maybe comes along with it. But I would argue, too, if you're staying in an unhappy marriage, then there's a lot of stress and sadness that accompanies that as well. How long have you been divorced? When was it fine? A couple years? No. Longer than that.
Starting point is 00:13:53 You don't know the day. So you don't have like a divorceary? I'm sure I do, but I can't remember from the time because there's a lot that factors that like there was the separation period. Then there was like we started the divorce process and then a year later it was finally finished. You confirmed it according to AI in March of 2023. Oh wow.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Okay. So we started it in 2022. Scoobo Steve says the divorce was a great thing ever happened to him. He's like, he had a new lease on life. I got in the best shape of my life. I was going out and doing more. I was more confident. He recommends it.
Starting point is 00:14:27 I actually, yeah. If you're locked down, get the heck out. Well, that's good news for Scoop's Steve because the study also said that men are at much higher risk of early death than the former wives. How you feeling back there? Dude, I feel like I'm going to live to 105. There you go. Good job. He thinks even if you're in a good marriage, you should consider it.
Starting point is 00:14:44 Does that true? Do it? Yeah, even breaks are nice here. Yeah. Well, Amy, I think you're done okay. Yeah, thank you. Thank you. I mean, I think, I don't know, I just feel like a headline like that's a little misleading. Tell me something bad.
Starting point is 00:14:58 All right, lunchbox. I got devastating news for the guys out there, myself included. Jessica Alba went Instagram official with her new dude. They were seen going down to the beach, holding hands, and they launched it on Instagram. Jessica Alba off the market. Wait, did she, she got divorced from cash, Warren? Yeah, she did. And we celebrated and we were excited about that.
Starting point is 00:15:24 I remember that. And that was to tell me something good a few months back. We didn't. Lunchbox. We didn't. He did. And we were like, dude, you're married. Yeah, I don't understand why he's so bummed about it.
Starting point is 00:15:34 Like, did you think you have a chance with her? I mean, you never know. You get in the same room with her. Just something may happen, chemistry. But you're also married. Yeah, but. For Jessica Alba, I'd be unmarried. That's terrible.
Starting point is 00:15:48 He'd get divorced. Then you risk dying early. I know because I'd be with Alba. Have you seen this guy she's dating lunchbox? Was he really good looking? Yes. His name's Danny Ramirez. And she's here.
Starting point is 00:16:01 And she went for a young one. She's 33. Wow. She's 44. He's 33. Wow. Well, you did that for a minute. Yeah, Andy, you did that.
Starting point is 00:16:11 No, I didn't. You did. Yes, you did. You did. Don't lie. We all knew, remember? We all knew. It just weren't saying anything.
Starting point is 00:16:18 It wasn't like that. It wasn't like that. You had your own Danny Vermeerreyes, okay? Yes, you did. Okay, lunchbox, I'm sorry. Tell me something bad. All right. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:16:28 I saw there was a recall for 5 million pounds of chicken. Obviously, this is bad for the company. There was metal in the chicken. Oh. But it's just bad news for the chickens. Like they sacrifice their life to be meals, and now they're just going to be thrown away.
Starting point is 00:16:42 I didn't think about it from the chicken's perspective. Think about it. that. I thought about it from the company's perspective. Yeah, it's a bad day for the company. But they can write that off as laws. The chicken died for nothing. The chicken died in vain. Exactly. It's going to waste. I saw that and it pissed me off. Yeah. That is tell me something bad. Morgan, do you have one by any chance? Yeah, I do. So I really like sleeping with a night light. I know that's probably weird because I'm old, but I get scared of the dark super easy. And I I learned that sleeping with Lyson is a 42% chance higher risk of heart disease as I get older.
Starting point is 00:17:16 Why? Yeah, because you're not sleeping as pure. Yeah, it's disruptive to your REM, like getting into deep sleep. Got it. Yeah. Then I messes with your circadian rhythm. You should stop that. I know, and I like sleeping with the TV on.
Starting point is 00:17:30 I like having a night. I used to do that. Well, it feels like somebody's there. Yeah. Talking. Hey, then you feel never alone. All right. That's tell me something bad.
Starting point is 00:17:40 A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Starting point is 00:18:51 Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield.
Starting point is 00:19:06 And in this new season of the girlfriends, oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands.
Starting point is 00:19:24 I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot.
Starting point is 00:20:06 I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up-and-coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall
Starting point is 00:20:27 and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to thanks dad on the IHeartRadio app.

During her hospital stay, she got a visit from the therapy dog that's in and out of the hospital named Scrunchy. And Scrunchy goes up and puts that dog head into her fingers. And when the dog did that, her fingers moved for the first time. Wow. Had moved at all. but classic scrunchy

Starting point is 00:23:34 as a huge dog lover this gave me all the motivation to reach out as much as possible and she woke up finally and she reunited with her family and then she met scrunchy for real for real So cool. Love that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:48 That's from People Magazine. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Do you know what movie this is? Yeah. Six cents. Haley Joel Austin. Six cents.
Starting point is 00:24:06 She said Haley Joel Austin. I would have gotten there, but. Yeah. Yeah. Halloween's on Friday. I'll play you a clip from a famous scary movie. Just named the movie. Write your answers down.
Starting point is 00:24:17 Lunchbox, Amy. Eddie, you guys ready? Yeah. All right. Here we go. Number one. Hi, I'm Jackie want to play? I'm in.
Starting point is 00:24:33 I'm in for the win. Lunchbox? Child's play. Amy? Child's play. Eddie? Child's play. Correct.
Starting point is 00:24:38 Everybody's good. Everybody's on the board. Next up. What scary movie is that? I'm in. I'm in. What? You want to hear it again?
Starting point is 00:24:53 Yes, please. Three seconds. Lunchbox. The ring. Amy. Poulter guys. Eddie. Poulter guys.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Okay. Correct. You say polter guys? Like it's like a moving company? We're the polter guys. Not guys. Got it, okay. Yeah, guys.
Starting point is 00:25:26 All right, there we go. Next up. Hello. I'm in. I'm in. I'm in for the win. Lunchbox? Scream.

Starting point is 00:25:48 Saw. Correct. Oh my gosh. I saw all 10. You did? One of the better punishments we've ever done on this show. You can Amy watch all the sauce. Not as bad as going to the theater to see the movie that makes you throw up.
Starting point is 00:26:02 That was so scary and gruesome. You remember the Terrifier? The Terrifier? Yeah, I think I had to see Terrifier too. Could you spoil the movie? Like, why did you? Probably. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:12 Probably for both those. I had to watch all 10 sols and then go to the theater and watch Terrifier. All right. Next. Oh, hello, Claries. Can you name that scary movie? Oh, hello, Claries. I'm in.
Starting point is 00:26:30 I'm in. Don't do it like him. Let's fuck, you're up. Answer. Shining. Not his strength. It's struggling. Amy?
Starting point is 00:26:50 Silence of the lambs. Eddie? Silence of the lambs. Correct. You two haven't missed. Good job. Thank you. Lunchbox, you have one point.
Starting point is 00:26:59 All right. Next. Whatever you do, don't fall asleep. Oh. I'm in. Oh, Amy stumped right now. Well, I have something, but. Did you write an hate a hate.
Starting point is 00:27:21 Jailie Joel Osmet? No. Or polter guys. Hi, we're the polter guys. We're here to move the couch. And then she's like, we're here. You can't fall asleep. Okay.
Starting point is 00:27:37 What do you have? Blair Witch Project. You thought that was one where you couldn't fall asleep? Well, I can't think of what it is. So that's what I had to go with. But you for sure were like, you can't fall asleep. Well, yeah, I know. What happens in your mind in this movie?
Starting point is 00:27:53 If you fall asleep, you die. Pretty good, good guess. No, no. That would be a sucky movie. If you just fall asleep, you die. Yeah. No, no, no, no. Let me see what they have.
Starting point is 00:28:09 Lunchbox? Friday to 13th. No. Eddie. I wrote down Nightmare on Elm Street. Yeah, because Freddie Kruger comes into your dreams. Oh. The nightmare.
Starting point is 00:28:19 Okay. That falling asleep and you die movie? I mean, it could be a good movie. I don't think so. Can you imagine you can't fall asleep? I feel like there's something out there where it's like whatever you don't fall asleep, you're in the woods and you have to stay away. I think Amy's combined Elm Street and Blair Witch now.
Starting point is 00:28:37 Shaky cameras. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, next one. Here's Johnny. I'm in. Amy? Yeah. Terrifier.
Starting point is 00:29:05 Which one? Lunchbox? The Shining. Yeah, that's right. Eddie? Yeah, the Shining. And one more. I'm in.
Starting point is 00:29:22 I'm in for the win. Lunchbox? Scream. Amy? Signs. Well, you fell off. Amy was going so hard. Yeah, it was good for a minute.
Starting point is 00:29:37 She was running pure, had it missed a single one. And it's like she had a stroke, like in the middle of the game. Eddie? I have screamed. That's correct. Our winner with seven points is Eddie. We got five in the victory lap. Hit it.
Starting point is 00:29:52 I'm scared to close my head. eyes to open them. It sounds like a movie where you can't go to sleep or they kill you. That does sound like, no, they don't kill you. You just die. You just die. You just die. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:09 Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know. Is that bird watch? No, it's Blair Whig. Oh, that's Blair Whig. Which is that movie with Sandra Bullitt were? Bird box. That's a good one.
Starting point is 00:30:21 But that wasn't a scary movie. Yeah, a little bit was. That's a thriller. There's a difference. No monsters. Oh. Right, Mike? I think it's still a horror movie.
Starting point is 00:30:30 Maybe you're just not. Horror is always a weird word. Horror. Don't think you said that correctly. I know. All right, next one. The power of Christ compels you. That's got to be the exorcist.
Starting point is 00:30:51 That's correct, yes. All right, three more. We all go a little mad sometimes. Haven't you? This is a good one. Black and White, Psycho. I've never, well, I haven't seen most of these, but I don't know that one. Oh, dude, Psycho is great.
Starting point is 00:31:06 All I know from Psycho is a, da, da, that, like the knife thing. Yeah, I don't even know. But, okay, another one. He's alive. That's not the funny one, though, right? And they're like a funny one with Gene Wilder. Who's alive? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:31:26 This is Frankenstein. That's Frankenstein, yeah. Frankenweeney? Is that a movie? Yeah, it is a movie. Young Frankenstein. Young Frankenstein. One more.
Starting point is 00:31:36 You're going to need a bigger boat. Ooh, that's Jaws. Was that a scary movie? Yeah, dude. That made people not want to go in the water. That feels like a Nat Geo. Have you seen Jaws? No.
Starting point is 00:31:48 Oh my gosh. It's a shark. You watch Shark week you get scared, don't you? But a lot of jump scares when you're watching Jaws. Oh, yeah. But mechanical probably, right? What do you mean? Like the thing was mechanical.
Starting point is 00:32:00 Yeah, I mean, it's like the cinematography is not Great. Did you watch the Chit Halloween special? No, what happens? Is it out? It's awesome. Really? Yeah. You got to watch the Chit Halloween special. Do you know about Chit? I know about Chit. Yes. She knows Chit. Yeah, back to it then. Yeah. Yeah. Talk about it. Back to it then. Uh, yeah. Jay Renshaw is the guy's name. The Chit Halloween special is excellent. It's on like five minutes long and it's up now.
Starting point is 00:32:27 On the Bobby Bones show now. Aaron Larson. Aaron, good to see you, buddy. It's good to be here. I'm having more. more fun than I've ever had in my life. I enjoy music more than I've ever had. Our shows are so good. Like, we are good. And I tell people, we are good. I think we are the best band in country music. And that's not being arrogant. That's called believing in your guys, working hard, rehearsing. Also, we have been doing this for forever. We should be. We should have been the best band. We're about 10 years behind. but you have to believe in yourself. You have to be a little crazy
Starting point is 00:33:09 to do the things that you and me are doing. Like for me, I have an album coming out in March, horse name Texas. I want it to be the best album in country music. And my five-year plan is I will put out three more albums. Also, I'm going to be blitzing. Hear that country radio? I'm going to be blitzing you with singles
Starting point is 00:33:26 for the next five years out of my pocket. I'm going to blitz and blitz country radio with the best songs of my career. because I can. I'm in a dangerous point in my life where the house is paid off. Yeah, that I relate to too, too. And it feels good. I got no debt and I got extra money so I do what I want to do.
Starting point is 00:33:43 Absolutely. And you've earned it. And you've absolutely earned it. I got asked by a media outlet, what are my thoughts on these artists that overnight go viral? And I said, it's wild to think that you could sing a song in a garage and then not long after that be selling thousands of tickets a night. I said, to me, that is intimidating.
Starting point is 00:34:02 I mean, that's Bailey Zimmerman. he really hadn't sang at all, even to his friends a lot. And I'll tell you, so a lot of people think that unless you're like more artsy, I won't like you because I kind of come from that singer-songwriter background, but I like that kid. I'll tell you why I like him. There was one video in particular that I think about that I was like, dude, this kid could have the worst music ever and I'm going to like him.
Starting point is 00:34:26 And I like some of his songs. He's doing it. But what made me like him was he does that corny thing where he's like, you know, that thing he does. does where he screams in. But he goes, y'all, a couple of years ago, I'm singing in my basement. And now I got my freaking face on the side of an 18 wheeler. And he was like, thank you.
Starting point is 00:34:46 That. It was genuine. That's genuine. And I will tell, I'm telling every artist listening to this, that right there will win the hearts. I mean, when people come up to me and they, it happens to me more than I like. But when I have people say, hey, I'm not the biggest fan of your music, but I like who you are on what you stand for. I'm always like, oh, well, thank you. You bought a ticket tonight. I'm going to try to do better. So you like my music. Yeah. Sometimes somebody come up and go, hey,
Starting point is 00:35:13 I'm not a fan, but like my sister is. Can I get a picture? And I'm like, I wish you wouldn't lead with the first part. Like, you don't have to even say the first part. Just say like, hey, do you mind if I get a picture? Yeah. Yeah. Could you just leave out the first part? You just say, you know, Aaron, I just like what you stand for. You can leave the other part. And also, could you leave out the part before that where you said, wow, you're a lot shorter than I thought, could you, could you leave out that part? Now I've been doing it for so long that I, I'm going to tell you, I have grown women walk up to me and they'll say, oh my gosh, when I was a little girl, my dad used to listen to you in the truck. Oh yeah. And I'm like, no, you're a grown woman.
Starting point is 00:35:46 Ain't no way. And then I start doing the math. I get that too. Not the truck, but it's like my, when I was in third, when I was in third grade, we would listen to you and I'm like, that can't be true. Yeah. Then I go, okay, we'll drop the five, 20. Yeah. Yeah. All right, more with that guy here, Aaron Watson. We talked about being a dad, talked about him having teenagers and so much more. Let's go! On the Bobby Bones show now. Aaron Watson.
Starting point is 00:36:14 How was it like having teenagers? I love it. It's, I can't believe that they're the age they're at. Everyone says it flies. Everyone told me that just yesterday when they were little. I'm about to have a kid. Everyone's like, it's going to fly. I don't think that the first couple of years fly at all.
Starting point is 00:36:31 At all, it's a lifestyle adjustment. It's the culture changes on you. Next thing you know, you're revolving everything around your baby. I'll give you a good example. I had a 1970s, Z-28 that I bought off eBay when my wife and I got married. And for three years, I saved up and I was fixing it up, redid the interior, put a new engine in it, new transmission in it, and I was getting it painted.
Starting point is 00:36:55 This paint shop said, hey, we'll do it for a really good deal. If we can just kind of do it in between, projects. I was so excited. I would drive up there and see progress that they had made and I could not wait to get that car. They called me to tell me my Z28 was ready on March the 6th, 2006, a few hours after Jake was born. I forgot about the car. I never cared about the car again. That always made me go, wow, that's crazy. Because for three years, I was obsessed with like, I can't wait to get this car all souped up. The car set out there. A kid came by the house one day and said, said, how much would you sell that car for? And I was like, I don't ever drive it. It's really hard to
Starting point is 00:37:35 put a baby seat in the back of the old Z28. But I remember the kid brought like $3,500 in a shoebox. And I just, it was worth probably four times that, but I was once 16 and would have given anything to have that car. But it is the coolest thing ever. One of the reasons why I am the best version of me as an artist and while like my five year plan is going to win. First of all, it's not about me. I want my kids to see me win. They're at an age right now where I'm telling them if you work hard and you're willing to put in the time and the effort, you can do anything. And I've been preaching that. And now they're getting to watch me.
Starting point is 00:38:10 And my oldest boy, Jake, is 19. He comes out with you. Yeah. He's a hundred times more talented than me. He just, I'm not going to allow him to record songs until he can grow good sideburns. Because I'm like, dude, your voice is still changing and you can't grow sideburns. That's the deal. He's like, God, I want to freaking grow sideburns.
Starting point is 00:38:27 And I'm like, I'm like, he's like, dad, when could you grow sideburns? I was like, I don't know when I was like, until I was like 26. He's like, no. Saturday night, we played two shows with Braxton, Keith, this week. And Braxton and Jake are just hanging out in the back of my bus for forever. They're like so close in age. I'm like literally old enough to be Braxton's dad, right? And after they left, I told Jake, because Jake had to fly out on Sunday because he has
Starting point is 00:38:56 college on Monday. So we were flying him back. And I was already in my bunk. and he was back there and I opened the curtain and I said hey Jake and he said yeah dad I go I am so proud that you're my boy I said I love you and he goes I love you dad and he did this little grin that he has done his whole life and I looked at I just we locked eyes you know the kid's 19 years old but we locked eyes and dude I could see him as he was it was like he was three again and then I think I shut the curtain and cried but it's fun but dude you're gonna love it it's the
Starting point is 00:39:28 best thing in the world. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Clivert Taylor the 4th. Starting point is 00:40:53 I'm Anna Sinfield. And in this new season of the girlfriends, oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care.

Woo, woo, woo, woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place they come, look for up-and-coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry.
Starting point is 00:42:04 about you, which is really sweet. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat, just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be.
Starting point is 00:42:31 Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Starting point is 00:43:27 The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in so-ins, correct? I doctored the test once. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfected.
Starting point is 00:43:50 They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Lepin and Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trap. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences.
Starting point is 00:44:08 Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Americopa County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges. This isn't over until justice is served in Arizona. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. If you are stressed out, what's the one thing that you do to remove the stress? If I'm able, I get outside and go for a walk. That works for me nine times out of ten. Yeah, 42% say taking a walk. I hate walking.
Starting point is 00:44:42 I think partially, because my ankles hurt for years now. Yeah, that don't do it. It hurts just to walk down the stairs. I'm about to have surgery. So maybe I'll just be way less stressed out once again, my ankle fix. Yeah, stress free. Think about that. Here are some science-backed solutions to tame tension.
Starting point is 00:44:58 Here we go. Number one. read a good book okay doing that what who's doing that dude I've given you like
Starting point is 00:45:07 three child books and you won't even read those but it stresses me out to read the book why just because like it takes me forever and then I'll go through
Starting point is 00:45:14 like two pages and I'll be like oh man I didn't even realize what I was reading so I gotta go back it takes me forever it's not fun I feel like
Starting point is 00:45:22 I understand where you are with that Eddie but also if you continue to tell yourself that story that's how it's always going to be
Starting point is 00:45:28 like you can put in the work to make it enjoyable. That's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Yes. Because you're saying it, therefore it's happening, but it's only happening because you keep saying it to yourself. But we have to, we can't discount his, my dyslexia. There is, he used that as a huge for everything. Right. And you can also put in the work to try to move past it. And it depends on the book, too, really. You read a book? I've read Jimmy Buffett's autobiography. and I read Matthew McCona Hayes.
Starting point is 00:46:00 Oh, and then you read the Mercy Me. Mercy Me. So you can read books? I've read books. Is there a chance that you're just not interested in stuff? Oh, 100%. And you're blaming your dyslexia on that? Yeah, but if I'm interested in it and they made a movie about it, I'd watch the movie.
Starting point is 00:46:13 Okay. I saw a guy on Instagram the other day. No. He showed up in my like suggested and he was like talking about. He's like, I just read this book. It completely changed my life for agreements. And I was like, oh, Bobby gave that book to Eddie. He hasn't even read it yet.
Starting point is 00:46:26 And Scuba. I gave it to both of them And you guys can read that in Two hours probably Well Maybe we should do a book club Scuba you and I would just sit together maybe Yeah yeah I'll read a page
Starting point is 00:46:37 We can do that And then I gave you the Alchemist Which is also a short book That's not short dude That's a That's right got a lot of pictures in it And that's probably a short book yeah I'm not even book shaming you
Starting point is 00:46:49 All I'm shaming you on Is the fact that you keep saying something That doesn't have to be true It wouldn't matter what it was about You're always blaming it on something Okay. Your excuse guy. As far as making it stress free for me, not.
Starting point is 00:47:00 I also don't agree. Like, I get in a book and I'm like, I just want to finish it. I'm stressed out because I just want to finish it. Oh. Right. Yeah. As soon as I started, I'm like, can't wait to finish it. Can we wait to finish it?
Starting point is 00:47:09 Can't wait to finish it. Hate the process. Okay. Okay. Now I'm stressed out about this segment. Next one. Listening to music. Pretty good.
Starting point is 00:47:19 What would you listen to if you're stressed out? What kind of music? I mean, I think just turning on music that I like is good or going for a drive with the windows down and like, you know, Cowboy Take Me Away or something. Or landslide. That's a good one. The matching pumpkins?
Starting point is 00:47:34 No. Oh, different versions. Yeah. That's not even the real version. I know. Stevie Nix. Whatever. Like, it could be any version of,
Starting point is 00:47:40 but a song like that where you're just like in the car, windows down, just feels good. I think for me it's probably either counting crows, August and everything after or same trailer, different part, Casey Musgraves.
Starting point is 00:47:51 Those two albums are kind of like, I can just sit there. It just works for me. You have music to, Takes you down? Oh, yeah, Bob Marley. Baby, don't worry. Oh, dude, it takes me to the beach.
Starting point is 00:48:01 It takes my mind somewhere else, and I love it. That's what a book will do. Oh, great. Taking a walk, you're third. I don't like walks. Sometimes my wife, I want to go on a walk. Let's go on a walk. I'm so happy my ankles hurt.
Starting point is 00:48:19 Because you have an excuse me? Yeah, because I'm like, I can't. I get it. My ankles. Now I have to have surgery coming up. I'm worried about, like, when I'm back. to fool what I'm going to use is my excuse. But you'll be able to milk the surgery for a while.
Starting point is 00:48:32 That's the plan. Yeah, thanks. 21% say playing a game on your phone. Okay, I guess it depends. Mine at times and I haven't played much at all. But playing PlayStation because it takes my mind off everything else. That's the whole point of doing something like this is, is to take your mind off whatever that is that's stressing you out, at least temporarily. And so I can play, and I only play like two games.
Starting point is 00:48:54 play Madden and NCAA football for the most part and that does take my mind off of it so I recommend that. That you would do? Oh, I definitely do that. Play video games? I was wondering when we have this baby, there's gonna be a lot more video gaming, right? Yes.
Starting point is 00:49:10 And a lot more ballgame watching. I played a lot of video games because whenever I did help, you know, like watch the baby at night, play video games all night. Yeah, and that that's why I need multiple TVs in the nursery. You guys thought it was crazy when I said that.
Starting point is 00:49:25 I want a whole like sports gaming room into the nursery. The baby doesn't know the difference. And if I'm going to be in there anyway, why not make it? It does. It can also be disrupted by light and sound. You don't know that. Yes, I can. Yes, I do.
Starting point is 00:49:37 You have no proof of that. Yes, I do. And not only that. There's no disrupting it if it doesn't know the difference. If it's born and it's all lights and sounds, don't do it. That's normal. From the moment it comes out,
Starting point is 00:49:47 then what's the difference its whole life? Oh my gosh. That's why my kids like video games. You want it to get quality sleep. But if it's all. All they ever get, that is quality. I told my therapist, I feel like having a baby is like the greatest science experiment ever. What?
Starting point is 00:50:04 What do you mean? Why? Because I can do whatever I can make this thing whatever I want. The kid? No, blah, baby, that's a life. I mean, you can in a way, but you don't have to be control. Oh, it is. Oh, it is.
Starting point is 00:50:14 I'm so excited. It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. They're home there's something good. Connor Smith is in Riverside, California. He promised his son they're going to stop by the candy store on the way home. but it was already kind of late. So they get to the candy store and they're like,
Starting point is 00:50:29 ah, it doesn't look open. He pulls on the door, it's unlocked. But they look in there, there's no one in there. What a dream. It's supposed to be closed. So what did they do? No, they just waited outside and made sure no one entered. They kind of waved down to security guards and said,
Starting point is 00:50:43 hey, this place is open. It's not supposed to be open. There's no one in there. So the security guards secured the area. Nobody stole anything. So the owners saw the surveillance footage. He said, this is amazing that this family did that. And they are awarding,
Starting point is 00:50:54 Connor and his son, a shopping spree. Nice. Can you imagine? Because I'm looking at the kid, tiny kid. Small, little, little rug rat. You get a shopping spree in a candy store? Oh, that's the best day of your life. Yeah, that's a core memory. Yes. That's the chorus of memories. Yeah, the footage is cool.
Starting point is 00:51:10 All right, there you go. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. And you turn the radio on and the dial just keeps on turn. Fox Morgan 2. School, the Steve Redavitt's trying to put you through. Mike D's writing this week's next bit. And Bobby's on the mic so you know what this is. This is the Bobby Vaughnstone.
Starting point is 00:51:43 And now the Morning Corny. The Morning Corny. What kind of makeup do witches wear? Mascara. That's good. That was the Morning Corny. Are you going to do dress? Is anything for Halloween?
Starting point is 00:52:03 No. I have no plans to either. My wife did tell me This is the last year You will not do something for Halloween Oh yeah Because you're gonna have a baby Oh yeah yeah you have to get dressed up
Starting point is 00:52:13 Yeah now y'all are like family costume Yeah or just You don't do all that No well Here's the thing about babies You don't have memories But the baby babies no No no
Starting point is 00:52:23 Here's thing about pictures AI You just be like this is how Your first Halloween This was us then yeah Bobby Bones show Bonehead Norrie of the day
Starting point is 00:52:35 This story comes to us from Orlando, Florida. A 27-year-old man thought it'd be so funny to post a picture with some little kids talking babies with guns, drugs, and alcohol. So he put him all up, put it on his Instagram, cops are like, oh, that looks weird, showed up and arrested him. Explain to me. The picture. So the kids are sitting there and he put guns in their laps and drugs and alcohol. bottles around them. Real kids are like AI.
Starting point is 00:53:07 And real drugs or fake drugs? No, no, like real kids. Like one of them was like passed out on the couch. Well, acting passed out. Yeah. Yeah. And then like Bobby said, is it like Tylenol or? No, it's not.
Starting point is 00:53:22 No, no, not like. I'm finally seeing the picture. Is it bad? It's like a Mikkelow bottle in between the two kids, a bag of weed. Oh. The kids are all like, so there's no use of them picking up the gun or having a little smoke. But yeah, bad news. That's bad news. Yeah, you got to go get him. One baby's like holding the bag. A baby? A big bag.
Starting point is 00:53:43 Yeah, big bag. And also, aside from the baby, like, that's a lot to put it on the picture. It's like, why would you take a picture of how that up on a... I know, but like, for guy... It's bad. It's bad. It's bad. I wondered, how could I talk this into not being what it seemed? It's just bad as it seems. Okay. Yeah. All right. He goes to jail on that one. All right, that's it. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the day. Here's a voicemail. I'm curious about what Halloween candy people throw away first.
Starting point is 00:54:10 Most disliked Halloween candies. You guys should do a segment on that. Love the show. Have a great one. Number one is dots. Oh, yeah. Yeah, pretty bad. There's nothing good about dots.
Starting point is 00:54:22 I can even understand, I don't like them, but those ones that are orange and black wrapped separately, they look like little taffies in the wax paper. It's like sea salt taffies. I don't know what that is. I don't think I've ever gone in. But it's not for me. Those get thrown away.
Starting point is 00:54:38 But dots are worse than that. I think dots are number one in the, they're terrible worst. How have they survived? I don't know. Because they're still candy and you can get them really cheap. And it looks like you tried even though you're not trying. Gotcha. What would you put up there as the worst?
Starting point is 00:54:53 I'm not a big fan of like Tutsi rolls. Oh, see, I am, but it's too much work for the little ones. Like you get a long Tutsi roll. Or one of those that are like, they're not all the way cut, but they're divided into like the four squares into that white little box. Oh, yeah, yeah. That's very mid. So I'm not going to say it's one of the worst. It's not one of my favorites at all.
Starting point is 00:55:17 But I can eat one of those. It's just the little ones. There's just too much paper when there's the tiny ones, the pinchers. But that's number one for you, huh? Yeah, I mean, I feel like that's the one where I try. I really try. And then I'm like disappointed. So I'm like, why even try anymore?
Starting point is 00:55:30 Eddie? Candy corn. If I see that in there, that just goes straight to the trash. I like that. We don't even discover. I like candy corn. What does it even taste like? Sugar.
Starting point is 00:55:40 Pure sugar. I think you don't like the look of it and the name of it. Sure. Do you like it? You don't think candy and corn should go together? Right. It's like a vegetable and candy. Yeah, that sounds terrible.
Starting point is 00:55:50 And it's just shaped like a weird little triangle. I think if it were shaped different with a different name. What about the pumpkin ones? They taste the same, but they look like a cute little pumpkin. Oh, I've never seen those. Oh. No, he probably has. Doesn't know.
Starting point is 00:56:03 Thought it was, hmm, that looks good. They probably ate one, but doesn't know it's the same thing. Because it's the same ingredients. Yeah. Huh. So I think candy corn gets a bad rep. Bad PR team for candy corn. You know what's so good with candy corn and Eddie you might need to try this.
Starting point is 00:56:16 You toss together some peanuts, some salted peanuts and some candy corn. Put that out. Okay. Candy corn trailments. Bobby, do not knock it till you try it. I promise. I don't want salt with that. Salt and sweet.
Starting point is 00:56:29 You don't like that? I do, but not with candy corn. I feel like you're hating for no reason. You haven't tried it yet. There's a lot of stuff if I haven't tried. I know I don't like. Morgan, you? I would say the good in plenny's.
Starting point is 00:56:40 Explain to me what that is. So it's like a mic and I, but the off-brand version. Oh, like a hot tamale but chuk... Yeah, they're like, they're purple and white is the way that I've seen them. They're like weird. Yeah. I have seen them now that I look at a picture. Those are rare.
Starting point is 00:56:57 Yeah, I don't think I even open that box. I don't even think... They're so unappealing that I don't think I've even gotten to the point of seeing if I like them. What are they called? Good and plenty. And they're not good, so don't open the books. But there are plenty. Yeah, because no one eats them. There's a lot in a box.
Starting point is 00:57:11 Lunchbox? Oh, Eddie nailed it. Candy corn. Absolutely disgusting. Do I understand it. Don't know why they sell it. Ugh. Uh, uh, puke.
Starting point is 00:57:20 I don't like when they give you raisins. Like just a box of raisins. The little box of like the suncoast or whatever they're called raisins. Yeah. Those feel terrible. What if they're a yogurt cover? Yeah, yeah. I've seen those.
Starting point is 00:57:33 The white ones? Yeah. Are those good? Sun made is the raisins. No, I don't like raisins in any form. I can't believe they put raisins and cookies. Oh, yeah, that's not good. Oatmeal cookies?
Starting point is 00:57:41 That's terrible. Like, who likes that? I've never met a single per-me. Well, there you go. Wow. Shucker. But the ratio. Who likes oatmeal raisin cookies?
Starting point is 00:57:51 Just lunchbox? I do. Just me. I'm never going to choose it over like a chocolate chip cookie, but I'll eat them. I like them. Oh, I have to pick out the raisin. I just don't eat it. And I like cookies.
Starting point is 00:58:01 So I don't. I feel like raisins suck. We should, if I, when I'm elected office, there's a few things I'm going to do. Number one, stop raisin production. Graves, good. Graves are okay. Raisins, bad. Dates, good.
Starting point is 00:58:13 Raisins, bad. Dates are good. Really? Yes, guys. And what is it date? A plum? A dried plum? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:58:21 Isn't a day to date? That's a dried. It's a date. Yeah, I think a date is a date. I don't think every bad fruit has to come from a better good guy. Yeah. Thank you for the voicemail. A date.
Starting point is 00:58:33 is just that A sweet tropical stone fruit from the date palm tree often eaten fresh or dried Yum So this is one of those days where you learned something new I sure did
