What's up, everybody? Welcome to Wednesday show. Morning. Studio.
Morning.
Hello, Bobby Bones. I've been with my girlfriend for a little over three years. We've talked
seriously about marriage. I'm ready to propose and her family loves me. I'm confident
I'll get a yes. I was thinking of doing it at her parents' house on Thanksgiving since everyone
will be together. But when I floated the idea to a few friends, they told me loudly not to do it.
They said it's hijacking the holiday, and that proposal shouldn't compete with family traditions.
I don't see it that way, but I'm second guessing myself.
Is Thanksgiving a time to propose, or is it inappropriate?
Signed turkey day proposal.
So I don't feel like you're hijacking the holiday as long as you don't do it at the dinner.
If you like say, okay, everybody, before we take our first bites.
So you're like ding, ding, ding, ding.
Yeah.
I don't feel like Thanksgiving is one of those where you're taking something from someone.
I don't think you can outdo Thanksgiving.
Because I don't think it's out.
It's not to outdo or underdo.
Right.
It's not like Christmas.
Yeah.
If you were to pick a holiday that might be an okay one to do that, Thanksgiving probably fall.
I don't know that I would do Christmas morning, depends on the vibe.
No, I wouldn't.
No, that's Jesus' day.
I wouldn't do Christmas at all.
Right.
But Thanksgiving feels okay, especially if family is important, people being together is important.
You have everybody gathered in one place.
But yeah, it's just finding the right time over.
the day or two that you're with everybody.
Yeah, Thanksgiving is Christmas as junior varsity.
Big time.
Like, no doubt.
So it's not, it's important, but it's just a warm up.
You're warming up for Christmas at Thanksgiving.
Sometimes you don't even go because you know you're going to go to Christmas at the house.
You know, and it's two trips that are so quick.
Bro, don't do it at the dinner, but I don't think there's anything wrong with doing it with everybody there.
That's all I say.
And I think your gut will lead you the direction.
Don't listen to these friends.
If you want to do it, do what you.
want to do. Because if you were saying, should we do it on Christmas morning while everybody's
open a present? No. That's not it. I don't think, I don't even think Christmas Day is a day to do that.
But I think Thanksgiving's fine. Would you agree? Yeah. That's a holiday that I think we give it the
A-OK. Yeah. All right. There you go. All right, dancing with the stars last night, the big finale.
And man, what a resurgence and ratings that show has had. It's really cool to see,
especially because the guy that works is like the head of BBC, which has that in America. He was like
my friend because I worked over there at BBC for a long time. It's so cool. Last night,
spoiler, it's not a spoiler. It was a live event. You know our rules? It's like football.
Sports. Yes. But spoiler. We'll do one more time. Spoiler. Robert Irwin wins. I thought Robert
will win. He wasn't the best overall dancer, but the best overall dancer doesn't win the show.
Rarely does the best overall dancer win the show. There have been some cases, yeah. But he wasn't the best, but he was good.
and he was most likable.
And his sister won it, Bendy, back in the day.
It's crazy to see the pictures when she won
and when she's holding the trophy.
And he's like nine, standing backstage
at Dancing with the Stars.
So I thought it was super cool.
Seems like a really nice kid.
Alex Earl and Val finished second.
The real toxicity online was those two fan bases
fighting with each other the whole time.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
So it's weird.
after that show is over, because you've been doing that every day for three or four months,
it's like an adjustment period.
Like for me, at least I was working the whole time, and so I just came back to work.
But man, like you're with somebody every, especially if you go a long ways on that show,
you're with them every day all the time.
And then all of a sudden it's just like gone.
It's odd.
As soon as the show's over last night, there's a small party for the winners and for everybody.
I did not get to go to our party when I won because I had.
to go to work. I had to drive across town and we had to do the show and record it for the next
morning. So I did not get to go to my winners party because I was wanting to be with you guys.
Oh, thank you, man. And then they have the big ABC Disney jet ready to take everybody to New York
because you do Good Morning America the morning after the show. And I show up. I'm a little late
because I had to work. Everybody's waiting on me. And they're also kind of irritated.
Everybody's nice, but everybody's tired and everybody's kind of irritated when I was late.
And two because they lost you.
They lost.
And I'm in there with the toll and the trophy.
They probably thought like, look at this guy.
Like you won the trophy.
You can be late.
But you were working.
You like walked on holding it.
They didn't like pack it up in the, oh, that's awkward.
Oh, that's cool.
As soon as you get it, they tell you don't let go of it.
Like, because people are going to want to take pictures with it.
They may break it.
They're like, as soon as we hand this to you, hold on to this trophy.
And then they give you a box to put it in.
Like to go through the airport.
But no, at the time, I just had the trophy.
And everybody's on that.
plane trying to get, trying to sleep because it's like a six hour flight. And you wake up and you go
right at a Good Morning America and nobody has any sleep. And then the people who didn't win,
they only get talked to a little bit. So they're making all that. And then the person who does
win is like the bell of the ball. But my problem was I got there and someone to hack my Twitter.
Do you guys remember this? No. And I'm like talking with Morgan. Like somebody's hacking my
Twitter like while I was on Good Morning America. And they hacked it to be like, Bobby sucks. He should
have never won. We couldn't get back in. And I'm like, this is God. This is crazy.
Dang.
And so you do Good Morning America
and then you go as the winter
and you do a little bit of press
but you're exhausted
because you've practiced all day,
all night, flown all night.
Your adrenaline's pumping.
It falls.
You do Good Morning America.
Then you go do and you sit in a room
with your partner
and you do press and all these outlets.
That's crazy.
And then they just cut you.
And they're like, okay, you're free.
And so you kind of look at your partner
and go, well,
I think this is it.
And it was really the
I've seen Sharnas since
She came and did the million dollar show
Our charity show
Afterwards she came and we did like a little dance
That might be other than like
texting or FaceTime
Or we did I did her podcast
I've never I've not seen her since
Like in human form
So it's like okay okay
Because I also don't live in Los Angeles
A lot of them do
And it's just like you're free
You go
And there's just an adjustment period
And it's a really cool experience
but they won and that's cool
I was happy they won
it kind of
the fifth place person
was the parent trap lady
I liked her
me too
or I like
yeah
and I figured that was
what's gonna
I called it out
I was like
fifth place
okay I was like
why are you yelling
because I was watching
my phone
normally it happens
she watched a basketball games
while I watch dancing
with the stars
and then
I think Dylan
was fourth
Jordan
the UCLA gymnast
Olympic gymnast was third
Alex was second
they brought oh they did the sea crest
they brought Alex Earl down
and they brought Robert Irwin down
beside the trophy
and they said in the winter is
the person we'll tell you after the break
oh no
yeah good season great season actually
it's so great
that I got brought back into the conversation
like that's how big the season was
not because I was good
but because it was so it was ubiquitous
But anywhere you looked, it was on.
So when I get brought back on something from six, seven years ago, you know it's big.
Because I had nothing to do with it.
I didn't even go.
I mean, I couldn't go.
But, yeah, what a season.
There's a good podcast with Caitlin Bristow that I did.
It's up on the Bobbycast.
She had, everybody has difficulties with their partner because you're just in a relationship
with a professional athlete.
That relationship is you there every day working hard.
They're pushing you as hard as you can push.
And she talks about that.
She was like, her mom was a professional ballerina.
And Caitlin Bristow was a great dance.
answer. She was one, it was probably the best dancer on her season. But she was like, because she was
good, he pushed her so hard and she was like, I would just like cry. And I was like, tell it, sister.
Me too. I cry now. Tell it sister. So, yeah, that's what's up. What did you do last night?
Pretty much went to bed early. It just worked out a little bit. I hung out with Stevenson.
And then I wasn't feeling that great. So put on a Christmas movie.
And
Which one?
A new one that just got loaded up to Netflix,
but it's not from Netflix.
It's from like 2023 or 2024 about a barbershop.
Who's the twins, Tia and Tamara?
Tia Tamara.
Yeah, from sister's sister back in the day.
Yeah.
Yeah, she's got like a salon.
She's trying to create her own hair care line.
And this new guy moves to town with a wine vineyard.
Let me guess.
Love happens.
Can I guess?
Has to, right?
Her mom hosts a yearly ball.
and he becomes a co-sponsor.
Oh, man, cool.
That's right for love.
Hey, I never saw that coming.
Yeah, but obviously, like, his dad has some issues,
and he needs to be focusing on running the business and not a girl.
But don't spoil it, because I don't want to know if they fell in love or not.
Okay.
Yeah.
Call us, if you want, 87777-B-O-B-B-B-Y.
The headline is the 2025-C-M-A awards had the E-M-T-L-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-V-E.
lowest ratings in history. Now, what I like to say about that is a couple things. First of all,
I like the CMA organization very much so, very appreciative for the work they do in the community
and the work they do with country music. I kind of been blackball from the TV show. And so you would
think I would be like, yay, bad ratings. But I don't. That's not your spirit. No, kind of it is.
Sometimes, let's be honest. Kind of it is. And thank you for stepping in and protecting me.
Yeah. Kind of it is. But it's not here.
here because I want to tell you why. They released the TV ratings for the 2025 CMA Awards.
They are at an all-time low. The show had 16.1 million viewers in 2014. This year, 6.4 million viewers,
2025, 11 years. It's very unfair because everything is going down. Yeah. Everything is going.
I would love to go, you know what, since they didn't put me on, it bombed.
However. It's not true. Yeah. You guys.
can recognize that our attention is so divided in like so many directions, right?
Attention is divided. More things, like you said, to watch. We have less attention span. Because even if
we're on it, we're not going to stay on anything. It's crazy. They're singing a song that's longer
than eight seconds? Okay. I think what they'll have to do eventually is they'll have to stop these
artists from doing unknown songs because some of the artists will only go on if they can do their song.
their new single because they want to promote their new single.
And it's always a tug with producers because they want the big acts,
but they want them to do a massive hit.
So some people, they'll let them do a new song.
It's why sometimes you hear songs that are just so new to like radio or streaming.
So I want to say, me being not allowed on that show did not make the ratings bad.
I wish it did.
I think the ratings actually were pretty good.
considering everything goes down.
The only thing that's gone up is dancing with the stars.
Yeah, it's had a resurgence.
Massively.
Like high school, like my boyfriend's daughter,
she was obsessed this season.
Like she did not, like she would get home from studying and be like,
I have to go shower and get in front of the couch.
Dancing with the Stars is about to start.
And I'm like, what?
She's like, yeah, it's all we talk about.
A couple reasons that is.
One, just in general,
the ability for them to use TikTok as a weapon and a tool.
has made that show super cool because everything's going viral.
There's a lot of the same people when I was on there, the same dancers.
And it's not like they have a good cast, but it's not like the cast that's like crazy super famous.
They got Alex Earle and they're like, it's full of influences.
It's one influencer.
Alex Earl who finished second last night.
Robert Irwin did win, which we talked about a few minutes ago.
But they used TikTok wonderfully, which also allows people to see more of who they are.
I felt like one of the advantages I had when I did the show was that I used.
used not TikTok, but Instagram and even Twitter, like heavy, because we do it for this show a lot.
And so I was able to do that a lot. And I think that helped me. But yeah, the CMAs down. They love big
headlines, lowest ratings in history. And was it yes, but is everything else except for
football and dancing with the stars? Yes. And it stayed close enough to last year that I think
that's a win. Yeah. Listen, I'd love if they said only four people watch the CMAs.
Because they've been like, it's because they've blackballed me from the show.
Yeah.
But they didn't.
So, yeah.
I would just like to say, for the record, misleading headline, a factually accurate headline,
but misleading headline at the same time.
Because they want the lowest in history, it sucks.
It didn't suck.
It's a great show.
Oh, it hurts me to say that.
Yeah, I watched it.
I thought it was really great.
And Laney killed it.
And also with the music thing, what they did with Old Dominion, with their performances,
that was awesome
because they did
like multiple of their hits
and I don't know
I really enjoyed that medley
They even at the end of this article
said our viewers just sick of award shows
no because it did well enough
to be close to even last year
anyway
I hate defending someone
that I'm having a little battle with
but eventually we'll get over it
and it's not again I like the CMA organization
it's the head producer of that show
decided to keep me off the show
I know
You know who you are.
Yeah, you know who you are.
It's like that personal?
Yeah.
Like a one person?
Uh-huh.
Oh, I guess I don't know.
You don't.
You do.
It's okay.
I don't remember.
I still like it.
You do.
I still like them.
And I can tell you afterward.
I'm sure I do.
What's happened specifically.
And I don't feel like I did anything wrong to warrant this, if I'm being honest.
But I do also understand their feelings about it.
I would even like to patch up the relationship, and I never want to patch anything up.
That's true.
You know me.
I'll run on a tie with a hole in it for a year.
Or longer.
Oh, yeah.
Or way long.
And, like, I will pin it on a board and go, okay, you may have me right now, but one day, you're going to come to me hat and hand begging.
And sometimes, I spend 10 years, still hasn't happened with some people.
But one day.
So, yeah, I stick up for the show.
Do you think the ratings dip was because some of the biggest stars weren't there?
No, some of the biggest stars were there.
Yeah, they were there.
Morgan doesn't go.
Morgan Wallen doesn't go.
Ever.
Because he, well, he's been there before, I believe,
but he got in trouble, obviously,
and that whole situation happened,
and he wasn't, like, allowed, and he was like, all right, screw it,
I'm not going anymore. But one artist
doesn't make or break. I mean, George Strait showed up.
Yeah.
So, that's what's up.
Just wanted to share that.
Yay, Dancing with the Stars, CMAs,
and we had Lany on today, and this has nothing to do
with that. I just saw the story.
CMAs were good.
I wish they were bad.
And even though it says lowest ratings in history,
I think it's still a great rating as compared to what last year was.
And also, also nobody cares about ratings.
Like normal humans don't even though we spent six minutes talking about it.
So, do you watch Dancing with Stars?
No, because I wasn't at my boyfriend's house.
Had I been over there, we would have watched it.
But I did see some clips this morning and was happy with the results.
Classic.
All right, that's it.
It's time for the good news.
With Bobby.
Tell me something good.
All right, I got a story here about.
people in Atlanta and how they rallied to help Tiffany McLeod reunite with her dog.
So I love dog stories.
She had turned Lola over to these animal services because she was homeless.
And then every day she would check in just to see her dog and pet her dog and be with her dog.
And so she was with the shelter.
She's like, hey, if somebody comes along and can take care of the dog, that's great.
But I love the dog.
She kept showing up.
She kept showing up.
And so Rescue Me, ATL, share the story online.
So somebody came to foster the dog.
The person who came to foster the dog was once homeless also.
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
So then the story got out because of all of that, right?
Just like I got like chills on my neck how even the person who adopted the dog temperate fostering the dog.
So $15,000 came in through a donation, one of those websites.
I don't think it was GoFund me.
And then she was able to get back with her dog and now she has a place that she's living.
Oh, wow.
Like that's my favorite kind of story.
Yeah, it led to so much more than just for getting your dog back.
Yeah, just like animals, they're not inherently evil.
And like, they don't really become evil.
Most animals are good.
Are you saying?
Yeah, I think so.
Luke Bryan almost said it best.
Right.
So close.
That's from 11 alive.
That's what it's all about.
That was tell me something good.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what you're saying.
Yep, that's me.

Jennifer Lopez
was paid $2 million to perform at a wedding.
Dang.
That's awesome.
So, like, how many songs is that?
Well, it was full crew, too.
I mean, I looked at the pictures.
So the person is a lavish Indian billionaire.
She went to somewhere called Udaper.
I haven't been there.
In India?
Yeah.
Udipur.
Never been there either.
I haven't been there.
The event was celebrating the wedding of, I don't know,
a couple people whose name I don't want to try to pronounce because it'll be wrong and then I'll get criticized.
But her performance included her hit songs, which was a highlight of the four-day celebration.
The wedding also featured celebrities.
I think they also paid to come.
Like it was all their people, but they paid celebrities to come.
Man, they got a lot of money.
It was her first visit to India to perform.
$2 million.
It does not say I looked, but it's her whole, all of her dancers, whole production, all of it.
Because if you're going to pay $2 million, you're going to pay $2 million.
you definitely want the light show yeah yeah everything in the background answers she performed

wedding who is it george straight oh that would be great yeah that'd be cool anyone well anyone well
they they could pay well yeah not dead yeah good point that he was about to say someone dead
probably Elvis or something yeah no what guys are they hating on you for no reason i didn't have you just got
assaulted for doing nothing except saying anyone.
I was just trying to go big. I was thinking like someone real
good. Go. Go. You too.
Of anyone? Yeah. I love
YouTube. Yeah, okay. And they
have like music that's romantic.
No judgment, no judgment. I shouldn't have said that.
Cold play, right? Oh, that would be awesome.
Cold play, but only play the album of Russia Blood to the head.
And yellow, because that wasn't on that
record. Yeah. I think that was on the record
before that. The first one. Yeah. Oh, man.
That would be cool. Lunchbox.
Bruno Mars
brings the fun. Has all.
the horns and I mean it's just upbeat music what you want at a wedding and so it'd be absolutely perfect
I think I would have Brooks and Donne Rascal Flats okay oh you already did that Dan and Shea
Dan and Shee looking back at our wedding that's kind of
That's crazy it's great yeah no it's crazy like I think about like my family that came into town because we had the
when my wife and I got married over four years ago um we got married on our property so
We didn't like run a big venue.
We just kind of put tents up, big tents, but tents.
And we had a little stage in there.
And the good thing about this town is if people are your friends and they have a talent, they'll use it.
And so, yeah, Ronnie Dunn sang Neon Moon.
What else did he do?
I think a neon moon because we danced.
It's a neon moon.
He came up and just didn't meet at Neon Moon.
Rascal Flats.
I know fast cars of freedom and God bless the Broken Road.
Dan and Shea did our first dance song, which.
was from Jesse and the Rippers on Full House,
but it was actually a Beach Boys,
a Brian Wilson song, Forever.
Forever.
That was cool.
You know what was cool was the band that you hired.
Just to play, they were the band for all these artists,
and they were so happy.
Well, who was so happy were like my random cousins that came to town.
Yeah.
Who did Ronnie sit with?
Like, how did you sit them?
He sat with Matt Jones from Kentucky Sports Radio.
So we're close with Ronnie and his wife.
And so I didn't feel like I had to super, super protect them because I know they can handle their own.
So we sat on with like friends of ours.
So he sat with Matt Jones.
I remember somebody saying like, dude, it's crazy.
Like they're sitting at her table.
Yeah, that was pretty cool.
Looking back, it's crazier than when it was happening because you're just so in it.
Yeah.
That's pretty special.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's pretty crazy.
I wonder how much that would it cost me.
If people wanted to hire that show to do their wedding, that would have probably been a couple million bucks, huh?
You didn't offer them any money?
No, they live right down the road.
They actually offered it to us.
That's nice of them.
Yeah, yeah.
And then during neon moon, this big sign came down that we still have that it was a big neon moon.
It said, gave me a nice name on it.
But if I were to pick somebody that wasn't them, let me be fair on this.
I think I would go John Mayer.
Okay, that would be good.
Dude, yes.
And again, like, just wedding music.
That's like all about love.
Yeah, but I don't think you want just that.
I think you want, it's a performance.
It's not like just the first dance.
Like you want to show.
Sure.
Like fast cars and freedom from when Rascal Flats did that.
That wasn't love.
That was everybody just having a great time.
Like you know, J-Lo's like,
now that I got, I'm still Jenny from that block.
And people aren't like, no, this isn't love.
Like song.
So, yeah, $2 million.
Boy, to be rich like that, that will be crazy.
So in Michigan, this guy was going to buy a scratch-off.
And he did.
And then he's like, I don't want that one.
Got another one.
guy behind him was like, well, I'll take that one.
And the guy behind him that said, well, I'll take that one, won a million bucks.
Oh.
Wait, that's not, that's, that's crazy.
What do you do?
Nothing.
Do you celebrate your win?
The 33-year-old man told Michigan lottery officials, he was at this store, and he just saw it happen.
And the guy just laid the ticket down inside the register.
Because he said, I'll take that when he riffs it.
Didn't beep it.
Because once you beep it, it's kind of dead, right?
Lunch.
Right.
You beeped.
It's sold.
There was a blazing suits ticket aside the counter.
someone had decided not to purchase it.
So I said, I'll go ahead and take it.
I snatched ticket off, scratched it, won a million dollars.
Wow.
You know, I bet that person that didn't take it, he doesn't know.
Probably not.
Unless he sees the news story and sees the name of the game,
is like, that's where I go to the gas station.
That's the game that gets my thinking.
Yeah, but it still be hard to know that it was yours.
But you know what I think I would do is I think I'd put the security footage up of someone
going, nah, the next guy coming up and taking it.
For the, that's public.
Oh, then people see him.
Hey, dude, Jim, I saw you on the, really?
Yeah.
doing. You were giving back a lottery ticket that won a million dollars. What? A lottery?
No, no, no. I just got a scratch off at the store yesterday. Yeah, well, there was a guy on the news and it shows you bought, you grabbed a ticket and said, no, I don't want that one.
The Blazing Suits one that I didn't want? I hate that game. Yeah, went one a million dollars.
What? Yeah. That's, oh. It would be so crazy to scratch off a million dollar winner. We talk about it so much, but imagine, I just wouldn't believe it. I would think one of you, I don't care if I'm in Wyoming.
And I scratched it off.
I'm looking around for you guys,
pranking me.
That's how unbelievable it would be.
To scratch and see that, you would go,
surely I'm not looking at this right.
Surely I'm, that'd be crazy.
Another one was there's an unclaimed $78 million lottery jackpot
that it's about to expire.
So if you won and then lunchbox, what is it?
If you don't claim it within a certain amount of time?
Yeah, they have like six months or 108.
I don't even know exactly the amount of days.
180.
You almost said it on this one.
Okay.
And I'm like,
Then if it goes away, it just goes away, goes to the state.
30, 60, 90.
That's also six months.
Oh, it's one of my fingers?
Yeah.
Because I did 30, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180.
You think someone has it and they're waiting or you think it's under someone's seat?
They don't know they have it.
Lottery officials are urging players to check their tickets after a $78 million jackpot.
This is in Texas was won on November 15th and still hasn't been claimed.
Heck will help too.
And if somebody goes to their ticket and finds it because we're reminding you,
we will take a small cut.
Yeah.
Very small.
Small.
And I will disperse of it to charitable organizations.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
What are you talking about?
Charitable organizations like us.
Us.
The winning numbers are 717, 23, 28, 39, and 48.
It was matched by a ticket purchased at Gordon's Baten Tackle in Brownsville.
In South Texas, near the Mexico border, yeah.
Guys, look under your seats.
You know what happened?
Is that where Mexicans put their tickets, Eddie?
That's where I would.
But they said bait and tackle.
They took it on the boat.
Oh, no.
It's just a gas station.
Cheese food.
The winner has 180 days from the drawing date to claim the prize.
So they're like, no one's come forward.
So they have time, but they just haven't claimed it yet.
If no one comes forward, the entire jackpot will expire.
That's not even that long.
They're doing this like two weeks out.
So they have time.
Yeah, but it's $78 million.
dollars. You would think like...
You'd run immediately? Yes.
Yeah, but I think I wouldn't.
Because you're trying to get your affairs in order?
Yeah, unless... It just depends what season of my life I'm in.
Earlier in life, I'd run immediately because I had no money.
Middle on, I would definitely
want to figure out way to hide it.
Hide it.
Yeah, so people didn't...
So people didn't know. I wouldn't want people to know I won the lottery.
I'm like these callers that go, we've had a couple, like nobody knows.
I would not want people to know.
Yeah, with you, we wouldn't be able to figure it out.
With us, there'd be signs.
100%.
Where did they get that car from?
Like with you, it would be like, okay, we don't know.
We're like, I don't know.
Because I'm able to hide it so good?
No, because you already have, like, luxury things.
Your life won't change.
One bit.
I'd go to every cowboy's game.
How does Eddie before to go to Eddie's every cowboy did?
How is Eddie on the sideline with a headset?
Yeah.
There would be signs.
The top reasons people head to the ER on Thanksgiving.
Ooh, a bone.
Burn.
Oh, oh.
bone like you eat a bone. That's good. We got to choke it on it. That's interesting. It didn't make it,
but that's, I like it. Okay. Pastout eating too much. It says stomach woes. I don't think that's
passed out. That's not it. Oh. What did you say lunchbox? Burns. Yeah, burn. So burns on there.
Cooking. Due to turkey friar accidents, mostly. Can I say this? I don't know anything about frying a turkey.
I'm doing one. I've watched a lot of videos. I know a lot of friends. You got to be pretty stupid for
a turkey to catch a pyre. Well, it's all about displacement. I watched a whole video on it. Can I tell you how it happens.
So these are open flame burners, right?
And there's flame underneath the pot that has the oil in it.
Yes.
If the turkey is not thawed out completely.
Yeah, because there's frozen water in it too.
They're still water in it and it makes everything pop in all the bubbles and it makes it overflow.
Therefore, you'll start a fire.
Also, overflowing, let's say it is to completely thawed.
I do.
I've never done it, but I watch two videos on it.
I am now an expert.
Yeah, I mean, that's the problem.
Also, what, the people just watch videos on it?
No, no, no, that still has moisture on it.
Got it.
Not only that, you can completely thought, but if you don't have your oil ratio with turkey ratio, and you put the turkey in and the oil goes over the top, correct.
Oh, yeah, that's bad.
You have to measure it with water.
Before you put the oil in, put water in there and put the turkey in there and be like, all right, that's how much oil I need.
Some people will try too small of a friar or too large of a turkey.
Man, you have been watching.
I watched two of them.
I saw a video where a guy did everything wrong to see if it would explode and it did.
And then so I watched that so long that I watched the safety way to do it.
Man, so people just freak out when the oil starts bubbling and the flames start?
No, it was on purpose.
He did it on purpose.
He dropped it from extra high and too much oil, frozen.
He just wanted to see what would happen.
And he was there.
Like some people walk away.
No, but I could imagine when you're there and expecting it, you can plan accordingly.
Some people walk away.
They don't even know what's happening in their whole houses.
Some people try to save the turkey and you're like, dude, just let the turkey go.
Get out of it.
Yeah.
Good point.
I have requested fried okra, like I said yesterday.
I want it and hope I get it at Thanksgiving.
I bet you get it.
I've just been told a couple times it's not a traditional Thanksgiving.
And then you guys all agreed with that and so I was used against me.
Oh, sure.
They were like, your whole show agreed that fried okra is not a traditional Thanksgiving.
It's not.
It's what I mean, you get to have whatever you want.
Yeah, you can make it.
Traditional.
Yeah.
Make it your thing.
I guess I could make it.
Say this is year one.
There's no chance.
I'm making crap.
Yeah.
So hopefully we're going to know Charlie's chicken in Oklahoma.
They're still open and get some fried ok.
Cuts and lacerations on the fingers and hands because people are cutting stuff and they cut their hands.
Orthopedic injuries because people will just fall.
Oh, what about like like football?
Like football.
Oh, yeah.
Head injuries.
Oh, Jerome.
Right now, Grandma Phil.
I don't know, dude.
It says make sure your home.
safe for people to walk around for head injuries?
Yeah, maybe older people.
Stomach woes.
That's from the New York Post.
I'll be in Oklahoma.
Thanksgiving.
I'm going to be here.
In the studio?
Oh, yeah.
My boyfriend's dad and his wife, they're hosting, which I went there last year,
but I'll be taking my kids this year because I have them.
It's my year for Thanksgiving.
We alternate Thanksgiving Christmas every year.
Daddy?
Family's coming here.
Except my brother. He didn't have vacation time.
Oh, really? That sucks.
He's like, dude, I can't get off. Sorry, man.
Thanksgiving Day? Yeah, I can't do it.
But to travel, like, if you don't have the Wednesday or the Friday off.
Yeah. He may have Thanksgiving day off, but how do you get to Nashville and that?
He works at a factory, dude. They're very, like...
You eat dinner and drive home. That's all I do. To Florida? Do that.
Yeah, no problem. Thanksgiving, though, if you can't make it, that's okay. It's Junior
Varsity Christmas. Agreed. Yeah, so if it's like, it's hard to do, don't even do it.
Even if you can and it's hard to do, don't even do it.
If you're going to be able to make it for Christmas.
It's total J.B. Christmas.
Lunchbox?
Going to North Carolina.
My wife's aunt lives there and so we're meeting in North Carolina.
How do you feel about that?
Oh, it's fine.
I mean, we rotate, so.
Doesn't sound fine.
Judge it by time.
Doesn't sound fine to me.
You want me to tell you truth?
Yes, dude.
We prefer it.
Okay, here's the deal.
Like Christmas, she's like, oh, we need to make memories in our own house
so we don't go anywhere for Christmas.
and this year is Christmas with my family's year,
and they're not coming,
so we're going to be by ourselves.
And Thanksgiving, we haven't gone anywhere
because it's just so hard to travel for things
and we want to make memories in our house.
And then when it's her family's year,
we head to North Carolina,
that's not really our house.
That's not making memories at our house.
Like, I was presented, so I don't know.
But I'll go and...
We know who wears the pants, obviously.
We sure do.
No, it's thought about wearing the pants.
Yes, it is.
Yes, it is.
You're about to make some memories in North Carolina.
I hear some hefty pants.
Is it an Airbnb?
No, yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
Well, my aunt's house and then there's an Airbnb because they can't fit all the people in one house.
It'll be good.
It'll be fine.
No, it'd be good.
It'll be great.
It'll be great.
Great.
Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.
Topics to not bring up at Thanksgiving.
Okay.
That's the category.
According to a poll of 2,000 adults, 21 and old.
all different generations.
These are the top 10 topics to not bring up at Thanksgiving.
They are all on the board.
Morgan, Amy, Lunchbox, you're playing the Bobby Feud.
Let's play the game.
Morgan, you're up first.
The obvious one is politics.
Number one answer is politics.
Also going in that same kind of vein as religion.
Religion.
Number two answer.
I don't know how this gets brought up,
but it definitely does.
Something about weight, whether you're watching your weight,
somebody's watching their way like people's weight show me people's weight
wow who brings that I would have never got there I'd have missed that one I
yeah good job I'm thinking like diet yeah is it like you're looking a little heavy
it says this is what it says appearance or weight quote should you be eating that
oh my that's terrible wow wow okay Morgan's one two and three go ahead um the other one I had
I also don't know how this but like family drama like bringing up the family
Hot button.
Family drama.
Good.
The actual written answer is family drama.
Wow.
Family who's not there.
Oh, man.
So that's exactly how it was phrased.
Okay.
Whoever cooked, there could be bad cooking on the table and we don't bring attention
to the bad cooking.
So conversation about quality of meal, something like that?
Sure.
Bad cooking?
Okay.
No, all right.
That's quick.
All right, Morgan, with 14 points.
She got 1, 2, 3, and 8.
Amy, there are still 6 answers on the board.
We're over to you.
Topics to not bring up at Thanksgiving.
Any, like, divorce or ex-relationships, like ex-husband, ex-boyfriend.
X's or past relationships.
Number 10 answer.
10 points for you.
Money.
What do you mean?
I mean money.
Oh, got it, of course.
Money.
Number six is money slash finances.
You have now taken the lead.
Okay.
Well, hmm.
I don't know, guys.
Just gossip.
Give me my money.
Gossip.
I'm just questioning if you said that.
You did say that, right?
I did say gossip.
Ray's really hot with the button over there.
Lunchbox.
Man, this is tough, man.
What do you not talk about?
Give me parenting skills.
I wouldn't do it that way.
You need to do this way.
teaching people how to parent.
Parenting skills.
Parenting critiques.
Good on.
Number nine answer.
Let me walk through what we have.
Nice.
One, two, and three are politics, religion, and appearance or weight.
At six is money and finances.
Eight, nine, and ten are family drama, parenting critiques, and exes are past relationships.
There are still three answers on the board.
We're talking the top ten topics, not to bring up at Thanksgiving.
Now I'm struggling.
Gosh, what do you not talk about at Thanksgiving?
I'm going to go with kids, more kids.
Like, why aren't you pregnant yet?
Like, are you guys going to have kids?
You're going to have more kids?
Just leave it off the table.
Just be happy with what you got.
Show me, when are you having kids?
Number five answer.
So right now, Lunchbox 14, Morgan 14, Amy, 16.
Oh, my gosh.
There are two answers left.
There's two left.
I'm going to say relationship advice.
Like, are you sure you want to date her?
Like, I don't really like her.
If they bring a date or a spouse, like, you're still with them?
Relationship advice at Thanksgiving, bad idea.
Relationship advice, would you like to be more specific?
Because it's not here, but you can be more specific and get it.
Gosh.
Ray, would you think that's fair?
Because it's not quite there, but I do want to give them a chance to dial in on it.
Yeah.
Relationship advice is not there.
commenting on their spouse on their significant other.
Like, your dislikes about the partner.
Your dislikes about the partner.
All right, we are around two.
Points are doubled, Morgan.
There's only two left.
Before I try and walk down, though, I feel like this is one.
Nobody wants to talk about work on Thanksgiving.
So don't talk about work.
Just show me work.
Number seven worth 14 points.
Everybody's just more work.
Yeah, but nobody wants to.
Okay.
Morgan, there's one left.
You have 28 points.
Okay, and it's down that relationship one.
Okay.
A advice about relationships.
Okay, we mentioned, like, when are you having kids?
When are you getting married?
That's it.
Why are you still single?
Yeah.
Show me.
That's it.
There it is.
I win.
I won't.
You help me with that lunch.
He grunts.
He's got nothing.
Amy finished second.
Lunchbox is out of the next round.
Those are the things not to talk about at Thanksgiving.
Take note tomorrow.
I think that might be the first time we got the whole category.
Oh, yeah.
It is.
Yeah, it's rare that we hit all 10 for sure.
Good job, everybody.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care which I'm saying.
Yep, that's me.

There's two golden rules that any man should live by.
Rule one, never mess with a country girl.
You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes.
And Rule 2, never mess with her friends either.
We always say that, trust your girlfriends.

I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot.
I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent.
He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet.
Yeah.
He goes, but there's so much luck involved.
And he's like, just give it a shot.
He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit.
If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration.
It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat.
Just hang in there.
Yeah, it would not be.
Right, it wouldn't be that.
There's a lot of luck.

It's time for the good news.
With lunchbox.
Tell me something good.
Jack Borowski is an Eagle Scout and his buddy Brody is going to be an Eagle Scout come January.
And they say, you know, we want to take some scouts for a hike.
So they're up in New England.
They go to Mount Lafayette.
They're taking the scouts hiking.
And they're at the top of the mountain.
There's a family in distress.
The daughter can't walk.
She's having medical issues.
It's getting dark.
And they're like, we got to do something.
You know what?
We're scouts.
So the Eagle Scouts picked up the girl and they carried her the two miles down the mountain in the dark to safety.
Man, she got pretty fortunate.
Yeah.
The one that they were just there and two that they knew what they were doing.
Yeah.
So the younger scouts got to see the older scouts like the two Eagle Scouts doing their motto of.
Don't you make fun?
I like Eagle Scouts.
Oh, they're nerds.
It's a weird story for him to have.
I mean, I was going to put it on that.
I shouldn't have done, my bad.
He acted like he was really impressed with the Eagles.
No, I know.
He's doing his job and I can appreciate that.
I was just trying to, you know, tell the story I was.
I wouldn't get to add commentary about how nerdy they are.
Like, I mean, they're not nerdy.
They're saving lives.
Skilled.
They are.
They didn't even have to be Eagle Scouts to save lives.
They could have just been a person.
Well, they could have like.
They just happened to be.
Braced.
Whatever they needed to do that you have to learn skills to get your patches.
It doesn't matter.
That's on me.
That's on me.
That's on me.
I should have never turned them.
Just him talking about that,
I just wanted to acknowledge
that they really are doing great things.
And when I did that,
it took the bed off of where it should have been.
So that's on me.
Can you do the professional thing?
Yeah, so shout out to Jack Borowski
and Brody Perry and the other scouts
that were on hand.
We really appreciate you saving this life.
And that comes Boston 25 News.
It's great story.
Saving lives.
Reporting live.
All right, that's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
Now time to put you through
My week's next bit
Now Bobby's on the mic
So you know what this is the Bobby Vaughnestone
Now time for the morning corny
The Morning Corny.
When does Christmas come before Thanksgiving?
Dictionary.
In the dictionary.
Got it.
That was the morning corny.
Since tomorrow's Thanksgiving and we don't get
do investigative. That was my lull.
You're a nod to that.
Yeah, get a rep in.
Yeah. Yeah, pretty good.
Bobby Bone Show.
Bonehead.
Story up the day.
This story comes to us from High Point, North Carolina.
A man was at the grocery store and he saw
advertisement. Turkeys,
25 cents a pound.
He was like, give me a big old turkey.
Only problem is you had to buy other things to get the deal.
He went to the register.
He's like, that's supposed to be 25 cents a pound.
And starts yelling at the kid.
cashier and some guy tries to step in, they start fighting, the guy pulls out a gun, shoots
the other guy in the arm.
Whoa.
I don't know what to say except you just never know how's a gun.
Yeah.
Well, it's kind of annoying, too, if they put 25 cents a pound.
No, I hear it.
No, I know.
No, no.
It's confusing.
Okay, but it's like when they do gas.
There's like, gas, 99 cents a gallon, and it's after rebate.
Yeah.
Because who's going to mail in the rebate?
Or you have loyalty cards.
But that's not the point.
The guy pulled a gun in like a squirmish at a store.
That's why if you can't, if somebody's not getting hurt,
and maybe this guy felt like the checker was like being verbally assaulted.
Like, man, just don't fight because somebody pulls a gun.
Next thing you know, you're getting shot in the arm.
Then we're talking about you on our show.
Yeah, that's stupid.
Okay.
I'm Lunchbox.
That's your bonehead story of the day.
All right, voicemail, let's go.
How old are you guys with boyfriends and girlfriends?
Don't you have dates or partners or something else besides boyfriend and girlfriend?
Sounds funny.
Bye.
I agree. I think there's an age where it's not boyfriend or girlfriend anymore. I've just had to accept that Amy has a boyfriend.
Oh, you want me to say partner? I don't know. Boyfriend just sounds funny.
Okay, well, what? No, I don't care what you do. It was just weird.
Well, you're now you're expressing that it's weird, so I'm trying to figure out a solution.
I think I said that a long time ago, though, at the very beginning.
Yeah. Well, I don't care enough about it for it to be that weird. But yeah, it's weird.
Okay. I don't think it's weird. What's weird? Boyfriend, what are you going to call him?
Oh, partner. My man. Significant other?
person I'm dating.
I don't have an answer.
It doesn't bother me that much.
Well, now, some listeners must be bothered.
Bothered's weird.
We can be slightly bothered.
I'm always slightly bothered.
You know, with everything.
So who cares?
But yeah, boyfriend feels weird.
Because she's older?
Not her.
I am older.
They're older in their life.
But he is like a boy.
Oh, that's the problem.
So my man friend?
That would be weird, though, too.
I don't have the answer.
I don't have the answer.
But it's like if a singing group started of males, okay, started today.
A brand new singing group started of males.
And that singing group were all above 50.
Will we call him a boy band?
No, man band.
Which has a cool name.
Or we just called a singing group.
Now if a singing group started of males 17 to 24, what would we call them?
A boy band.
Yeah.
So Amy could have a man.
man friend.
It doesn't,
we wouldn't know what that is
and we'd have to constantly explain.
That sounds really weird.
Well,
I'm sure boyfriend sounded weird
the first time they used it.
And if she said partner
or maybe like Amy's lesbian?
I was thinking the same thing.
That's so true.
That's not all it means,
but if you were just like, yeah, my partner.
Or that I'm like anti-traditional
marriages and relationship or whatever
and so I'm just having this partner.
Who cares?
I don't care enough.
It just, when I do the boy band analogy.
Yeah.
A bunch of 50-year-old singing,
that's not a boy band.
that there's no other name for that.
There is. It's just she doesn't want to use it.
What is it? Partner.
Oh, that's what it is. No. Partner does not work.
The guy I'm dating.
Okay.
I don't change.
But then again, is the guy I'm dating not strong enough for their relationship status?
Yeah, that sounds like cash.
It just sounds like a dude she's going on dates with.
Then I would say, say the guy I'm dating that we are, have decided that we're serious after many conversations and we are spending a lot of time together.
Perfect.
Like I know his family.
That's exactly what I'll say.
There is not a better.
I do not have a solution.
I mean, there's a lot of people in my situation.
There's a lot of people in their 40s and 50s
that have boyfriends and girlfriends.
So like, what?
I don't mind girlfriend, though.
Even for Amy, like, if it's like this is my girlfriend,
I feel like you're still a girl.
Okay.
So it's just because he's older.
Well, boy band, you wouldn't call it as,
I, it doesn't bother me enough for me
to even have thought about it since then,
but at least now we can be aware
and address the fact that we have talked about this
and who cares.
Okay.
How about that?
I've got it now.
I've got the guy that I've been dating for a while.
No, no, you have a kind of serious.
You have a boyfriend.
You have a boyfriend.
Yeah, right.
Give me number five.
Now that Daboswini is interviewing with your Razorbacks,
what in the world are you going to do if he comes to Fayetteville?
You have a cursed coach that may come to Favisville.
You hex him for being too arrogant to come on your show.
I just want to know how you're going to handle it.
Daboswini will not be the coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks.
By the time this comes out,
it may already be announced.
I already know who the coach is going to be.
It is not going to be Davos-Sweeney,
and he never even officially interviewed.
Well, that would be good.
So I continue the curse, is what I say.
And is the curse against him or Clemson?
Him.
Okay.
Because really him, but then Clemson's just been losing.
Because of him.
Okay.
I have no problem with Clemson or Clemson fans.
Love them all.
Embrace them all.
It's just him.
He big dogged us.
And from the day that we did the curse two years ago, they've sucked.
They have.
So it works?
But I didn't curse us and we've sucked.
Yeah, so what's going on?
Maybe somebody else cursed you.
I don't know.
Yeah, maybe he cursed them back.
Thank you for the call.
Always leave us a voicemail.
877-77 Bobby.
Right here's the voicemail we just got.
Hey, Bobby.
This is Sarah and...
Dallas.
And we know that you think
Home Alone is not a Christmas movie.
I was wondering,
maybe you should ask your assistant
what she thinks about Home Alone
being a Christmas movie.
Thanks.
I mean, I don't really need to ask her.
Because although Home Alone does happen at Christmas and it fits the theme,
I think Home Alone is a great movie about a kid fighting robbers.
But I can ask.
I bet she says it is.
It's that Christmas time.
Here we go.
I get it.
But it could have been on Fourth of July.
Yeah, but it wasn't.
Okay, let's see.
That's a good point.
Both of you all.
Hello.
Is Home Alone distinctly a Christmas movie?
Hey there.
So here's the scoop.
Technically, Home Alone definitely happens at Christmas time.
But that doesn't mean it's locked down as a purely Christmas movie.
The main storyline is really about Kevin outsmarting burglars while his family's on vacation.
You could swap in another holiday or just a random school break and the plot still works.
So it's got that Christmassy vibe, but you can totally argue it's an all year-round kind of movie if you want to stir the pot a little.
And I do want to stir the pot.
Y'all probably already talked about this together.
Have you asked her before?
Because it sounds like you said her answer.
Exactly.
That would be funny, though.
If you could just make AI say whatever you wanted.
She's like, it could have happened
at 4th of July.
To Amy's point, it didn't.
Then she quotes me, she's like,
I once heard on the Bobby Bowen Show,
wise man Bobby say it wasn't a,
I think it happened to Christmas,
but they play it in March.
Name another Christmas movie they play on random television
of March.
They don't.
I don't know that they play it in March.
Oh, they do.
We've shown like television schedules
where they put the whole grid out
and they show Home Alone in March and July.
It's a movie that happens all year.
Yeah.
probably definitely thrives around Christmas time.
I would imagine because there is Christmas in it.
But you can't make a sequel.
Like Home Alone 3 had nothing to do with Christmas.
It didn't?
No.
I think they were all around Christmas in New York.
Home Alone 2 was.
Home Alone 2 was a whole different kid.
Okay, well, three always loses the plot a little.
Doesn't matter.
It's a whole new kid in three?
Right.
So it's not even the same.
Like Rocky always was about boxing.
Didn't matter who was in it.
True.
The music is so Christmassy.
In that one, yeah.
Yeah.
Home Alone 3?
I'd argue.
That's it.
We'll see you guys.
Have a great Thanksgiving.
Bye, everybody.

If you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit.
If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration.
It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat.
Just hang in there.
Yeah, it would not be.
Right, it wouldn't be that.
