Hey, I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. We talk about our mistakes, too. They pulled me to the side and was like, hey, man, we got a call last night, man. You can't be rolling around the city like this tonight before games. Check out Game Recognized Game with Stew and Miles on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:01:53 Hi, I'm Cheryl Strayed, author of Wild and Tiny Beautiful Things. I'm excited to share that I have a new podcast. called Mind Over Mountain. In each episode, I interview athletes, adventurers, and adrenaline seekers to discuss the inner landscapes that informed and inspired their extraordinary feats. So we, too, can better understand how to face our own seemingly insurmountable challenges. Listen to Mind Over Mountain every Thursday on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:02:24 Wake up, wake up in the morning. Come on. video on and the dial just keeps on turn. Dang it here. Eddie and me lunchbox, Morgan, 2, the Steve Reddavis trying to put you through. Black D's writing this week's next bit. And Bobby's on the mic so you know what this is.
Starting point is 00:02:47 This is the Bobby Vaughn's story. Time for Amy's morning, corny. The morning corny. What do you call four bullfighters? in quicksand. Boy, she is proud of this one. Oh, no. She's smiling ear to ear, and she's turning her head looking for the applause.
Starting point is 00:03:10 What do you call four bullfighters in quicksand? Quattro Cinco. Okay, so she was looking at Eddie and Mike. Yeah, hilarious. That was the morning corny. Yeah, she was aiming that for our Mexicans in the room. I like it. You like you guys?
Starting point is 00:03:24 She knows her demo. Okay, good job. You plan on betting on the Super Bowl? Yes. Eagles. All the way. You're just going to bet them to win the game. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Soar Eagles. Fly Eagles, but. Yeah. Fly, sore. With the Super Bowl being the biggest sports betting, you go to Draft Kings, the coin toss. You can bet on that before the game. Would you even be on the app or are you kind of forgotten about it when the game? Are you even watching the game?
Starting point is 00:03:51 Yes, I'm watching the game. It's the Super Bowl. Well, I don't know. Sometimes you don't. I mean, I'll watch most of it, ish. So you can bet to win the coin toss. You can also bet to win the toss and the game. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Meaning if you thought the Eagles were going to win the toss and the game, you'd get pretty good odds. If you bet $10, you'd win $32 bucks. Okay. You can bet a score agami. What do you think a score of gami is? I don't know. Or a gama, a bunch of different scores? A score that's never happened ever being the final score.
Starting point is 00:04:25 32 to 12. I don't know if that score has ever happened, but you can bet on it. being and occasionally a few times a scoregami happens but if you bet 10 bucks you want 250 bucks oh that's not bad do you know what a flea flicker is nope you can bet on if they run a flea flicker when you think a flea flicker is
Starting point is 00:04:42 you're bouncing all over the place like a flea and then you flick it out of your hand oh interesting it'd be like if you hand the ball to the running back then the running back runs up and then pitch it back to the quarterback and then the quarterback throws it
Starting point is 00:04:58 what I say running all over the It pops like a flea. Flee. Looking the ball. Fair enough. You can also bet the jersey number of the first player to score a touchdown. As in under 15.5 or over 15.5. And what are your thoughts there?
Starting point is 00:05:16 Well, so who's the most likely to, who's the quarterback most likely to throw to? What's their number? In the 80s for the most part. But a running back would be in the 20s. And sometimes the quarterback scores too. And they're low numbers. Running back, why do you know? Not on the first play, though.
Starting point is 00:05:35 Not on the first. What does your psychic mind say? I just don't think a quarterback is going to score at the beginning of the game. Jalen Hurd scores. Yeah. The first down. Now you're just saying words. I know, I know.
Starting point is 00:05:49 You're flea flicker in us. You can bet on the color of the Gatorade. Yeah, that gets poured on the coach at the end. Mm-hmm. Yeah. You can bet on the length of the national anthem. I haven't seen that one yet. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:06:00 Who's singing it? Do we know? Don't know. Let me tell you. No, no, Amy's making jokes better psychic ability. Just kidding. I have no idea. All this is at draft kings. You can also bet on somebody to score a touchdown. And if I were going to tell you to bet on somebody random. Well, one of the players.
Starting point is 00:06:18 Not just anybody scoring a touchdown. That would be zero. Well, I guess it could be a Philgoal 3-0, 6-3, whatever. You can bet on a certain player to score touchdown. So, like, if I were going to recommend you to bet somebody to score touchdown, I would say probably like Sequin Barclay scores a touchdown. The running back. For which team?
Starting point is 00:06:36 Well, for the Eagles. Okay. But I have a bunch on the Chiefs. But that doesn't mean they're not going to score a touchdown. Okay. And so you're only betting on the Eagles. I mean, I don't know. I might throw, I mean, if I'm going to go all in, I'm going to go all in.
Starting point is 00:06:49 I think you're just saying words, though. What does that mean you're going all in? It means, like, if it's going to be the Eagles, I need to like just go all in with the Eagles. Like, why would I dabble with the Chiefs? Because then that puts that energy out there. And do you think your energy is enough to actually affect a Super Bowl? Yes. You do.
Starting point is 00:07:03 Okay. Obviously. Gosh. Would you like to psychically predict a final score? Oh, if she nails this, guys, that'd be crazy. We have to believe her. Yes. Will you psychically predict the final score?
Starting point is 00:07:13 Yeah, but I might need five minutes in your office. Okay. Give it to her. Send her the office. With the door shut, nobody bother me. We'll play a song. Step away, Amy. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Yeah, right now. Okay. Take your air on. And Amy, just see what happens. Don't do math. Yeah, and don't be like in there and giggling. Just focus for like five minutes. No, I'm going to go lay my head down.
Starting point is 00:07:36 And see what comes up in the next five minutes. Okay. Okay, we're going to send Amy off for another psychic prediction. She takes a nap. Amy's back. She's been sitting in the dark office for five minutes. I love that pillow that Eddie got you for Christmas. That's why it's there.
Starting point is 00:07:52 Your psychic pillow. Memory foam. Amy, what or I just should say what came to you in your dark? Yeah, I have the score. Oh, you're going right to the score. Yeah. Okay, go ahead. 3427. Wow.
Starting point is 00:08:05 3427 and who should win? Eagles. Still with Eagles? Yeah. Amy has psychically predicted the Eagles 34 Chiefs 27. Is that a score of Ghalmi? Do you do? I have no idea.
Starting point is 00:08:17 Okay. And nothing else came to you. Just that. Okay. There you have it. Bet it. Wow. I'm in.
Starting point is 00:08:25 I mean, I'm going to bet it for sure. How much? I'm like $5. If you get an exact score, that's monster money. It's huge. How do we figure out if it's a score agami? Mike's looking it up right now. So a score, it has happened before.
Starting point is 00:08:39 Oh, okay. That's okay. So it is no scuragami, but 3427 Eagles. Who did that happen for? Los Angeles, Rams, 34 Detroit Lions, 27 back in 1948. Hold on, the Chargers, 34 Broncos, 27 and 2024. Oh, 2024?
Starting point is 00:09:00 2004? Last year? What? That wasn't the Super Bowl last year? Because the Chiefs have been at the last... I didn't say Super Bowl. There's regular, regular games, guys.
Starting point is 00:09:09 Oh, I thought Skor-A-Gami is literally a score ever in the history of every football game. Yes. And that's crazy. There's a lot of them still open. Really? Yeah. I thought it was just... These scores have not ever happened at the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:09:22 No, me too. No. Okay. Go, there and go. Go. God. Go, Draft Kings bet it. Use the code.
Starting point is 00:09:28 What is it, Bobby Sports? One word, Bobby Sports, put that in the code if you're a new user. There you go. We're going to give the pilot episode a second episode. We debuted a segment yesterday per lunchbox's request called Lunchbox Presents. Women are crazy. Okay. We didn't get a terrible reaction to it, only mildly bad.
Starting point is 00:09:49 So we're going to give it another shot. Again, this is called Lunchbox Presents. Women are crazy. Take it away. There's a 34-year-old woman in Florida. divorced, like they've moved on. Divorces finalized everything. 11 p.m. She's like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:10:04 I'm going to go give him a piece of my mind. So she goes and gets something out of her closet, drives over to his house. And they had a brick made for their first date. It says first date, Sabrina and it's crossed out, jet skiing June 14th, 2020. And she, boom, throws it through the front window. All caught on camera.
Starting point is 00:10:27 It has her name on it. Who else is going to have a brick? First date. No one else has that. And cops are buyers. She's like, I didn't do that. Wasn't me. Oh, she said she didn't do it.
Starting point is 00:10:37 Wasn't me? Yeah, that part would be tough to get away from. I didn't throw a brick through the window. So Lunchbox presents. Women are crazy. Like, let it go. You're already divorced. It's over.
Starting point is 00:10:47 Why did you even keep the brick? Well, she was trying to do the window. Yeah, she's trying to get rid of it. Now I would say to actually use as a weapon to throw through the window. I mean, your name is on it. How do you not think you're going to. going to get caught. Like women are crazy. Women are crazy, man. Maybe she just thought he wouldn't call the cops, but she was sending a message with that specific brick. Although, what an idea to get
Starting point is 00:11:08 a brick after a first date? Like at some point, at some point, I'm sure that that kind of got him some action. Are you kidding? No, I think that's a little crazy. Really? Like a commemorative thing from a first date? Well, if it's a long time after. But if it's like date number two, you're like got us a brick from our last date. It was their first date. I know it was their first date. Okay, you don't think some guy, you go on a second date and you had a great time. He's like, we had such a fun thing last time. No.
Starting point is 00:11:34 You're on, this is the second date. He can make a brick. You're not getting her puppy. I'm assuming she got the brick made because she's the woman. She's crazy. See, it is crazy. Yeah, that's what you guys, like the guy probably didn't do this. The woman probably did this.
Starting point is 00:11:46 See, I would think the guy did it. Yeah, and he's crazy. No. This is no, Amy presents the men are crazy. Exactly. Am I the only one that feels like, if the first day went really well, and instead of like having a flower or something, it's like, hey, I got this. brick made we had such a great time no no that's weird i don't like it no no bricks are like maybe i'm
Starting point is 00:12:04 too romantic that's the problem bricks are reserved for like down the line bricks are there's for like to remember people by like something really special like you've known someone like your mother yeah they do that like a brick okay what about this what if first day it happens it's great you get this brick made because it was like there's some story about a brick like a brick fell whatever but now you're that's what no that's what it is now you're bringing brick into the narrative I'm sure the brick is from the first date. You don't just go and get a random brick made. I'm sure the brick is from the first date at some point of the date.
Starting point is 00:12:34 Okay. So you get the brick made. You go on a second date. It goes great. Third date. Like six month anniversary. I got you this brick from our first date. Okay.
Starting point is 00:12:41 Yes. I'm, I'm, hear me. I'm okay with that. Down the line. But you got it made after the first date. Oh.
Starting point is 00:12:48 And you hold on to her for that long. Why are you guys romantic? I think you go back and make it at the six months. You'd be like, oh, man, what do we do on our first date? Oh, okay. Yeah. Maybe I could go make. a brick from that. Then, okay, get it. If you, after date one, like next day, hasn't even been 24 hours,
Starting point is 00:13:03 you're making a brick. I think you all are missing the point. You guys are haters. She threw the brick. No, I know. That's way later. That's way later. No, no, it's way later in life. Amy presents, men are crazy. Okay, let me present this scenario to you. Now, we were engaged at the time. So this is not like a first date or anything. But my wife and I went together and did an episode of Running Wild with the bare girls. My wife has no interest in being on television. I convinced her, I was like, do this thing with me. And luckily for me, she had been in therapy that day when I asked her and the therapist was like, hey, you're suffering from a lot of the negativity that comes with your husband being public.
Starting point is 00:13:38 Why don't you like take advantage of some of the like positive stuff? And so she's like, I'll do it as an exercise. And we did the show. We went to some mountains. And the positives being not that it's going to be on TV, but to experience something like that with bear. Yeah. Yeah. You wouldn't normally get to do like helicopter, all that stuff.
Starting point is 00:13:54 And so we go and she has to go down. down like this hundreds and hundreds of rock. Like, it's crazy. And I have to go too. But as I'm going down, I was so proud for, I took a piece of rock off the wall as I was like scaling down it. And I kept it for like six months and I gave it to her as a gift. Like I was like really proud of you when you did this because we all thought we were going to die.
Starting point is 00:14:13 Yeah, that's cute. That's cute. It's totally fine. Very different. Okay. I just didn't know if you were together for. But I just don't know if it. You're not the most romantic person in general.
Starting point is 00:14:24 So I was just seeing your threshold. True. We're talking about making a brick. If you want to pick something up on the first day and you're like, oh, I want to get this to remember this by. I have a story. I'll tell you all one day. One day. One day.
Starting point is 00:14:39 Let me come to you. Let's say the first day was awesome. And there was some, there was a brick, something happened. Because there has to be an actual reason to have the brick. And they like, he writes on it. This is from our first date. Would you think that was weird? Or is it situational where it could actually be cool depending on who the person is?
Starting point is 00:14:59 It's situational based on what happens. Yeah, if you give it to me like the second date and I'm like, no, this is weird. That's bizarre. You hold on to that and then the six days, like six months down the road, you're like, I saved this because I thought we may be something. I kept it. I think that's romantic. I'm giving it to the end of the first date. I'm like, I kept a brick.
Starting point is 00:15:17 I made it for you. How many bricks does he have in his closet of like first dates? If he's like, I did work. But I would imagine something about the brick. There has to be some sort of relationship with the brick. Yeah, like y'all went on a walk and there was a brick. It was our jet ski you said? Yeah, that's what it said.
Starting point is 00:15:33 It said jet skiing on June 14th, 2020. Special day. So maybe like, you know how sometimes when you're holding up a trailer, you put those bricks? So it doesn't roll back? Yes. Wasn't one of those? Okay, I'm done with this. Lunchbox presents.
Starting point is 00:15:46 Women are crazy. But I think another woman's crazy, Amy. She's not romantic at all. I am romantic. I tell you a story. soon. Can't wait. That's our tease. She's suing lift because she tried to get in a car and the driver said he couldn't let her ride because she was too large. So the driver claimed his car was too small to accommodate her.
Starting point is 00:16:09 So she, she's a rapper named Dank DeMoss, filed a discrimination case. Here is audio from the video. Here you go. Oh, my car is small. I can fit in this car. But believe me, okay. Yes, I can. I'm sorry. What I'm going to do about my money?
Starting point is 00:16:26 You're not going to be card. So you're selling me, I can't get in the lift because I can't fit in your car. Yeah, you need to all very big or a car. What makes you think I can't fit in this car? Because the price is small. My best friend has a biz. That's no word it means that I can fit in. That's the same size.
Starting point is 00:16:46 She's 489 pounds. She's a big girl. Like, no doubt. I think the lift driver really thought. Like, yeah, I don't think. he was being mean purposefully mean
Starting point is 00:16:58 yeah but does she went any money here Amy I'm not sure I was reading a little bit about it and I guess he had been in this
Starting point is 00:17:09 situation before maybe he had experience with it and maybe he thought it was going to be a problem but I'm like if three you know 170 pound people
Starting point is 00:17:20 were like going to pile in the back would he be okay with that because like that would be like if Lunchbox Eddie and Bobby, y'all all piled in the back. I think it's also like fitting in the seat as well. That was difficult. And like buckling.
Starting point is 00:17:31 But like let her try, right? Like give it a rip and you don't fit. I agree. Yeah, that just feels so humiliating. Like I don't know why he had to do that. The car was small though. It was very small. Lunchbox?
Starting point is 00:17:45 Listen, I feel like it's just like an airplane. You make them buy two seats because they're a bigger person. I don't think that would matter. No, no. It is the same thing. So you say order a bigger car? Right. Order a bigger car. Like if you can't comfortably fit in one seat and it's going to be hard and the seatbelts aren't going to fit around you, that's a liability for the driver if she doesn't have her seatbelt on.
Starting point is 00:18:06 I mean, all of that is him trying to protect himself at the same time and him saying, hey, it's going to be way too cramped. And on an airplane they'd make you buy two seats, here you got to order a bigger car. That's it. I feel bad for her. But also, I'm going to hear a rap, though. Does anybody else? That's mostly what I took from this was I never. heard of her as a rapper. So I'm like,
Starting point is 00:18:25 let me hear how good she is, because this has launched her into notoriety now. Yeah, that sucks. Because I don't feel like the guy purposefully is being mean to her. Right? No. He didn't sound like it? No, he didn't sound like it. So, kind of an announcement here. Breaking news! Breaking news!
Starting point is 00:18:45 So we're trying something. For the first time ever, you know what, in Nashville, I'll set it up like this. You can go to a songwriter, like, like around where you go to like listening room cafe. You can go to many of the places where like songwriters come and just play their songs. And like the people behind the songs, they tell the stories behind the songs.
Starting point is 00:19:07 So that's always been something they've been trying to take to a bigger stage. And they came to me and they said, hey, we want to do this, but we want to do like a national version of it. How would we do it? And I was like, I don't know. I'll like, I don't know. I'll help. That's my input. It's good.
Starting point is 00:19:20 I don't know. I love to help. And they know I do the bobbycast, a lot of songwriters. So what we're doing, and I'll read you the headline, for the first time ever, hear the stories of the songs from the Grammy and CMA award-winning songwriters behind the biggest tits in country music in a special live broadcast event, music night, live from Nashville, in movie theaters across America. You ever see the thing where they're like, Phantom of the Opera, they show it live? Yeah. So we're, I'm hosting this. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:19:49 And it's that environment. So all across the country, you can go to the theater. and watch a live songwriter around with three very successful songwriters. Brett James, who's written, Jesus Take the Will, out last night, Kenny Chesney. I mean, he's got so many hits. Kelly Archer, who somebody else will, Justin Moore, sleep without you, Brett Young. Matt Jenkins wrote Cop Car, Keith Durbin, setting the world on fire, Kenny, buy dirt. So that's what we're doing.
Starting point is 00:20:20 So this is going to be in March, March 8th, and a movie theater is all across the country. I will be hosting this and hopefully people come and it's a whole it's different I like I applaud them because they're like what do you think I was like I don't know
Starting point is 00:20:33 just tell me and I'll help so that's what we're doing So is it It's live? You're live? It's all live. So do you have a live audience or you don't know?
Starting point is 00:20:41 I think there's probably people in there Where will you be? In Nashville Do you know where? Yeah I mean I know the venue we're doing it Oh okay okay Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:20:51 So we have a venue and there'll be people there in the crowd but it's going to movie theaters all across the country on March 8th. That's cool. I hope it's going to be awesome. I hope it sells out like Titanic. That's the goal.
Starting point is 00:21:02 That'd be nice. And then Avatar. Then we do it again and it is like Avatar. And then it's like the Marvel movies. So I'm pretty excited because they're trying this. And this is, it's bold, but it can work. So, and here's the headline about me. Hosted by CMA and ACM award-winning radio podcast and TV personality,
Starting point is 00:21:22 also winner of the MLB Celebrity All-Star Game MVP Dancing with the Stars Champion New York, no, all that stuff I'm not. I just added on that. I was like they put that in there. So March 8th, live from Nashville and movie theaters all across the country from Fatham Entertainment, we are going to do this show.
Starting point is 00:21:39 It's called Music Night, Live from Nashville. It's exciting. Yeah, it is. And it's so different that I think there's a chance that could really be cool. And I hope people come out. I give you more details as far as, like, getting tickets and stuff. But I think you just go to the movies.
Starting point is 00:21:56 Yeah. Like, literally just like you show up to the movies and go. So, okay, there's that. There's the announcement. I'll put some more on my social media, but I'm pretty excited about it. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care which I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:22:10 Yep, that's me. Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this. platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your
Starting point is 00:24:00 podcasts. On a recent episode of the podcast Money and Wealth with John Ho'Brien, I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money. What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here? We break down budgeting, financial. discipline and how to build real wealth starting with the mindset shifts too many of us were never ever taught financial education is not always about like i'm going to get rich that's great it's about
Starting point is 00:24:37 creating an atmosphere for you to be able to take care of yourself and leave a strong financial legacy for your family if you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money this conversation is for you to hear more listen to money and wealth with John O'Brien from the Black Effect Network on the I'd Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Will Ferrell's Big Money Players and IHeart Podcast presents soccer moms.
Starting point is 00:25:06 So I'm Leanne. This is my best friend Janet. And we have been joined at the hips since high school. Absolutely. Now a redacted amount of years later, we're still joined at the hip. Just a little bit bigger hips, wider. This is a podcast.
Starting point is 00:25:19 We're recording it as we tailgate our youth soccer games in the back of my Honda Odyssey. All the snacks and drink. Sidebar. Why did you get hard seltzer instead of beer? Oh, they had a bogo. Well, then you got it. Do you want a white color or something here?
Starting point is 00:25:32 Just take it. What are y'all doing? Microphones? Are you making a rap album? Oh, I would. Come on. Could you believe? I would buy it.
Starting point is 00:25:39 Cuts through the defense like a hot knife through sponge cake. That sounds delicious. Oh, you're lucky. I'm not a drug addict. You're lucky I'm not an alcoholic. You are. You are. I'm not a killer.
Starting point is 00:25:51 I love this team, and I'm really trying to be a figure in their lives that they can rely on. Oh. Listen to soccer moms on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. We're going to play beat the clock. Up and grabs this one shiny $10 bill. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:26:12 We're going to play for cash. I always feel like even if it's a little bit, you guys play harder for cash. We do. That should not be what the show is. What do you mean? It's money. She just play for your paycheck. Okay, so here's the deal.
Starting point is 00:26:21 I can't tell you what the category is, but who goes? I go first. Eddie? I go first. Amy and Lunchbox have to leave the room. Okay. What I'm gonna do is you'll have 30 seconds on the clock. I will give you a category. You name as many as you can in 30 seconds, but I can't let you know what the category is.
Starting point is 00:26:34 Bye. Bye. So do, wait, so I can stay though, right? Yes, you're first. But we're not gonna even tell you the category until you get up there. Got it. So, winner wins 10 bucks. I'll tell you what, if you, I'm gonna let them get out.
Starting point is 00:26:47 Ten dollars up for grabs. Eddie's walking up. We're not even going to tell you what the category is until you get to the microphone. Eddie's up on the stage. stage. Okay. And his arm is still in a sling. Why are you taking that thing off?
Starting point is 00:27:00 I'm still slinging it. I'd say like, I don't know, one more week, and then we can lose this thing. You'll have 30 seconds. Now, there will be me, Mike, and Scoob and Steve will be keeping score. Whatever score we come to as a group, that state, we don't go to the back into the judge's room anymore. Okay. You have 30 seconds on the clock. Name as many U.S. states.
Starting point is 00:27:25 Go. Texas, Hawaii, Tennessee, Alaska, California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Illinois, Minnesota, Colorado, let's go down, Wisconsin, Nebraska, New York, New York, New York, Is that time? Time? 30 seconds. Bang. Thank you. Dude, I neglected the whole East Coast.
Starting point is 00:28:03 God. It's not like I got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, ten, ten, ten, ten, ten, ten. I have twenty, ten. I have twenty. I have twenty. I have twenty. I got twenty as well. Okay.
Starting point is 00:28:14 I feel like scuba's lying and he just went with us. Honestly, I was trying to fix the image in the back wall, so I, uh, twenty is what it is. Twenty is what it is. Gosh, 20 seems low, guys. How did you feel about your performance, Eddie? I mean, I think I just was slow. I was trying to be too perfect, trying to think of all the states like perfectly. I envisioned the whole United States.
Starting point is 00:28:33 I should have just, I feel like lunchbox is going to come and just scream stuff. If he does, he's not going to get paid. I know, but if he says the actual state, it's going to count. If we know. That's the thing. Yeah. We can't just like spray paint the whole wall and hope. Okay, thank you.
Starting point is 00:28:45 Eddie's back down. We're going to bring in Amy next. She does not know the category. Okay, we have 30 seconds on the clock. We're not going to tell you how many Eddie got. you do not know the category. Name as many U.S. states. Go.
Starting point is 00:29:02 California, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, New York, Utah, Oregon, Washington, Washington, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Arkansas, Arkansas. Illinois, Indiana, Hawaii, Alaska, Idaho. Okay. How do you feel you did? I don't know. I started to remember that song from school. Illinois, Indiana, you know.
Starting point is 00:29:42 You know that song? I was counting you up. I have 23. H.I. Okay. Okay. Is that good? You have 23.
Starting point is 00:29:49 Apple C. You could be a little closer to $10. Dang. You almost got one per second. I should have got more, though. I think everybody would think that. Eddie was like naming countries in Europe. It was like Paraguay.
Starting point is 00:30:04 Argentina. Europe and nature's mine. Oh, right. Yeah, no way both. Okay. Let's bring in lunchbox. He's in the isolation chamber. There he is.
Starting point is 00:30:16 How you feeling, big man? Like a champ. What do you think the category is you had to guess? Name Super Bowl winners. Super Bowl winners. Oh, that's good. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:24 Okay. Okay. Well. Amy got one thing. No, no. Yeah. Chiefs and Patriots. I would have gotten two.
Starting point is 00:30:30 Okay. Oh, you got two? Mm-hmm. That's pretty good. You last 30 seconds on the clock. Hold on. I don't hear myself. No one heard themselves.
Starting point is 00:30:38 It's fine. 30 seconds. Here we go. Name is many. U.S. states. Go. Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, Florida. Oklahoma, Nevada, California, Oregon,
Starting point is 00:30:55 Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan. New Mexico, Arizona, Kansas, Idaho, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, West Virginia, Virginia, New York, Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Ohio, Virginia. You said like Ohio a couple times. He said he doubled up on some, which made it very confusing for me. I mean, I got like 50. I don't think so. I have 26. He doubled up. On the double ups? Without the double ups. I didn't count those.
Starting point is 00:31:29 The double ups, I have 22. So I don't even know. Scoob, what did you have? I had 28, but then there's two double ups. So 26 is what Mike has and then I have that too. Then we'll have to go with that. 26! I think we have to send it back to the room.
Starting point is 00:31:44 I didn't want to do this. What? What do you mean? What do you mean? Because I don't... Send what? It's close. We need to send the audio back to the room.
Starting point is 00:31:51 Because you just start saying stuff and doubling up and then it's like, I don't even know. Because it's close. It's like a challenge flag, man. It's good. We need to do this. Listen, when you're naming them, I forget which ones I've named. And then I think, oh, that pops up my head, Ohio. And then I'm like, I already said that.
Starting point is 00:32:06 Yeah. I mean, it's just, I can't mark them off. I don't have a calendar in front of me, though. Well, they didn't double up. You guys, we tried not to double up. No, I tried to. Do you think I doubled up on purpose? Yes.
Starting point is 00:32:17 No. Abby, would you take the audio and go to the back? I don't think you did. And just see how many he got. Because he probably did really well, but I want to make sure. because tomorrow I don't want to come in and all the listeners have been dissecting it and telling me that I cheated to give lunchbox a victory.
Starting point is 00:32:32 So would you go check it out? Yeah, I'll listen. Okay, thank you. We will come back and get to- I got a question. What? What is, like, how close are we? Oh, he can't say that.
Starting point is 00:32:41 Why would I say that? Because I need to anticipate. We will come back. Abby, thank you. And we will come back and find a winner next. All right, let's go to Abby, who has the official results on Beat the Clock. What did lunchbox get out of 50?
Starting point is 00:32:57 Oh man, it was a close one. 24. So even less than... Yeah, he doubled up on a lot of them. I was 23. Oops. Amy with 23. Thanks for eliminating yourself, Amy.
Starting point is 00:33:11 Eddie. Come on. Eddie with 28 minus 8. Minus 8. Oh! You double up! No, no, no. No, he didn't double up.
Starting point is 00:33:21 I went too slow. I was trying to be too perfect about it. But I just don't want to hear from listeners that we were cheating. So Lunchbox does win the game. Our scoring was a little broken. We may have to retire this game. Dang.
Starting point is 00:33:34 Collie, I even lived in North Carolina. I forgot that. I live in Tennessee. I forgot that. I forgot the whole East Coast. I forgot the whole East Coast. I forgot Arkansas, dude. The helmet's sitting right in front of me. I didn't say Arkansas. Did you say Colorado? Denver helmets are here too. I did say Colorado. Congratulations, Lunchbox. You nailed the most states.
Starting point is 00:33:49 Thank you. There you go. Good job. That's kind of weird. What? You nailed the most states. And he's minds in the sex with states, dude. I don't know, dude, my mind.
Starting point is 00:34:00 If your milk has gone bad, well, maybe it has. Maybe it hasn't. Just have the robot taste it. Researchers at Penn State University have developed an electronic tongue that can monitor food freshness. The device uses super thin sensors and artificial intelligence to detect food spoilage, fraud, and contamination in just minutes. The high-tech tongue works like our own.
Starting point is 00:34:22 Do you put it on your mouth, though? No. You stick it in there. You stick it. want to put it in. No, no, no, no. Like a glove? I'm picturing it sort of like a meat thermometer, like you stick it in there and it gives
Starting point is 00:34:31 you a rating. That's cool. I think named in college. Meat thermometer. Studyfines.org with that. Remember those wax lips that we used to put on as a kid? Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:40 That's funny. Probably Halloween. Then you chew them up. I thought that was what the tongue would be like. A Muskegan animal shelter will neuter your ex. Oh, you get to like name a dog or a testicle after them or something? Oh, my goodness. That would be weird.
Starting point is 00:34:55 to name a testicle specifically, but yeah. Because I'm like, how many dogs do they have that are unnamed? After last year's successful fundraiser, Heaven can await Animal Haven will once again name and snip a feral cat after your ex in exchange for a $25 donation to PayPal. So they do it in the honor of your ex. So an animal that needs it. And there's lots of cats.
Starting point is 00:35:13 The shelter trap, neuter return program will snip cats and return them to their respective colonies, according to the Facebook page, but you can neuter your ex. That's click bait, man. I really thought the ex was going to go in there. They get abducted in the middle of the night with a bag. That's crazy. A bag put over their head, taken somewhere. That would be expensive.
Starting point is 00:35:31 Wealthy singles are paying a million bucks for a matchmaking service. I mean, is this new because a million-dollar matchmaker has been around for a long time? But her thing, though, wasn't she'd make a million. She was setting up millionaires. Oh. She was the math. Yeah. She wasn't making a million.
Starting point is 00:35:49 She was setting up millionaires. Okay, I got you. So these people are paying a million? Yes. A California. Matchmaking service has a new million dollar matchmaking program. The company called three-day rule promises personalized high-end services, but it will cost you $1 million. Those willing to pay get unlimited matches, date planning, and a three-person personalized team
Starting point is 00:36:08 that assists clients in finding their ideal partner, ABC 7 News. This sounds like a little. Just get an app, bro. Pay the 1999. If you get on Bumble or whatever, Morgan, you can pay a subscription, right? and you get like access to everybody's like financial information. No. Not that.
Starting point is 00:36:26 On Bumble or Hinge, yeah, you can pay and you can get better matches or people that are more like what they think, the algorithm thinks you want. So you can utilize the pay service on them. Can you pay so much that they have to accept your match? I don't think that's. What? You sell to match? That's what I would sell.
Starting point is 00:36:45 Like if you pay enough, you get the gold here. Whoever you match with, they have matched with you. That would be worth it. open yet and then we're talking uh so any singles that find someone special and pop the question during the 12 month program will also get a three-carat diamond ring okay still weird it's you're gonna have to pay a million dollars but a study found breakups are harder on men than women general thoughts amy yeah ego oh i didn't think about that i think i thought it would just be wrong more than listen i know that women we tend to be more emotional and i i i don't know that women we tend to be more emotional and
Starting point is 00:37:22 I just think depending on what happens in the breakup, there's men have a bigger ego and they don't like losing. Mm-hmm. And it feels like, well, what if though you're the one that breaks up and you're the guy, is that the win? Oh, you mean, if they got, but he may take it harder? Oh, well, then that's sweet.
Starting point is 00:37:40 If he's taking it off, he's the one that did the dumping and he's taking it hard. Oh, I don't know. I'm just saying, would the ego thing be out of play if you were the one that did the breaking up as a dude? Yeah. Maybe his ego's just still mad. It didn't work out or something.
Starting point is 00:37:52 he couldn't figure it out. A study found breakups are harder on men than women because guys tend to rely on their partner for most of the emotional support they get, while women also get it from their friend groups. Okay, that's actually really sweet. Let's go to the guys here. What's up? Lunchbox, do you need emotional support from your wife? No.
Starting point is 00:38:13 Well, who do you lean on? Do you have emotions? I have emotions, but, I mean, I don't really need anybody. I depend on myself. Like, I mean, no one else. What are they going to? ego? Like, what is she going to do?
Starting point is 00:38:26 Like, oh, pat you on the back? Like, yeah, no thanks. She can provide space for you to... Pat you on the back. Yeah, like, what? Eddie? I've never been dumb, dude. What's the question again, man?
Starting point is 00:38:37 Do you, no. Well, you also started dating your wife when you were nine. Okay, but do you rely on your wife for emotional support? I'd say, like, minimal. Wow. Minimal. These guys have ego. They want to admit.
Starting point is 00:38:49 They have emotions. No, no, not ego, man. Just like, you know, you deal with your sex. stuff. And then, you know, sometimes I pray and like, have God help me out. Okay. More than my wife because sometimes the problem's my wife. You know what I mean? That's true.
Starting point is 00:39:07 That's funny. Okay, yes. You have to admit that's funny. But then that's where you can lean on what, your friends? No, my faith is I'm like, God, my wife's being whatever. Help me out. Sounds like the only issues he has are with his wife. What about you, Bob? Yeah, for sure. Absolutely. Mostly mine is spiraling, right? Like, I tend to spiral or think worst case scenario in every situation or, and my wife is quick to step in. And I need tough love a lot of times. And so she's learned that that's mostly how I like to be talked to. And it's, I don't even know it's tough, but it's just very direct. Like I love efficiency. That's my love language, efficiency. So she's like, all right, let's see. Efficiency is not one of the love language. For me, it is. It's the newest one that hasn't been. I've never heard.
Starting point is 00:39:52 that one. With her, it's like, okay, I understand why you're feeling this. Let's talk through it and get to the bottom of it. And let's at least have you understand why this probably isn't rational. So if we can do that efficiently. Yes, absolutely. I rely on my wife for my love language of efficiency. Yeah, but because you love her, you allow. She has. Yeah, but it took a while. Right. But she can say some of that stuff to you. Other people, you might be like, me. She's the only one. And at first, I didn't even like that. I was like, who do you think you are? She's like, your wife? Like, good point. Got me. So some people like words of affirmation as a love language.
Starting point is 00:40:25 Some like acts of service. And what's yours? Efficiency. That is not one of them. It's gifts. It's all fake anyway. It's all made up anyway. It's touch.
Starting point is 00:40:34 I love gifts. I like efficiencies and then gifts. And then let me go to sleep. Those are my three love languages. Wow. Most men are touch. Oh, for sure. I'm touch.
Starting point is 00:40:45 Oh, I don't like to be touch. For the most part, I want to be touched. Both touch is great, dude. No, I hear you. But if you like, listen. I really have a gift. Do you and your wife, you know? Yeah, we do that, yes.
Starting point is 00:40:57 But I'm saying, if you're like love language, I also think love language is like, rubs on the shoulders, like, scratch. I don't need that. I don't want to be touched by anybody. You don't be held? I thought you like to be babyspoon. You over that?
Starting point is 00:41:11 Or a little spoon. It's not called baby spoon, first of all. And at times, I will be the little spoon. So that makes the list, but efficiency, then gifts, then the rest. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk. Science says it takes a lot longer than 21 days to form a habit. New research shows that forming lasting habits takes a lot longer than 21 days.
Starting point is 00:41:32 It takes about two to five months of consistent practice. And in some cases, close to a year. The first step to forming any new habit is just repetition. And then it just gets hard. Like motivation is nothing. Motivation, who cares about motivation? Everybody gets motivated. Motivation doesn't last.
Starting point is 00:41:49 Motivation is the biggest waste of time because motivation happens. You're motivated. and that can come and go at any point and it can go away at any point. Like where the money is in life is discipline and anything that you're doing. Motivation is a nickel. Discipline is a $100 bill. The problem with discipline is it's the hardest thing to do and it's all the time even when things aren't comfortable. You tend to only get motivated when things are comfortable and you're like, I'm fired up to do it.
Starting point is 00:42:13 The fire doesn't last long, can go out, can come back at different points. So the hardest thing to have is discipline. So, yeah, I would assume it takes longer than 21 days. I would, I hate mayonnaise, but I wonder if I had mayonnaise for 21 days if I'd like it. Ooh. Or a month. I could take, my nieces, I could probably pick what my nieces are doing a thing at school where there was like, they do a vegetable thing, a vegetable they don't like,
Starting point is 00:42:39 and they're eating it for, I don't know, 25 days or something to see if they like it after. Interesting. I thought that was such a fun experience. You should do that. I'm not doing mayonnaise because I don't think of myself. Can we all do it? Because like, I hate olives. I'll try it.
Starting point is 00:42:51 I hate olives. We should come up with stuff then. I don't think it should be something that makes you want to vomit. Because I, again, if you made me eat peanut butter or eliminate all of you, uh, wait, peanut butter, I would eliminate all of you. No, you would eat the peanut butter. Yeah, dude, try it. Try it for the experiment.
Starting point is 00:43:10 Think about it. We should do it. I think that would be fun. Like when you're eating a peanut. I love it. I know, but do you like try to swallow it when it's still like not mushy? I actually like to chew it up. That's peanut butter.
Starting point is 00:43:21 And then switch it up. But that is peanut butter. I don't like peanut butter. And also I love butter. But that's not related. I wonder if I put peanuts in butter. Ew. If that would be close to peanut butter and if I could slowly walk my way in that way.
Starting point is 00:43:35 What's close to peanut butter is when you chew a peanut in your mouth. I love peanuts, though. Okay, it's weird. All right, that's the news. Those were Bobby's big. Stories. Our favorite gossip segment within the show, let's spill the tea. Let's spill the tea
Starting point is 00:43:54 So this is someone just tattling They wanted to use the voice changer So you don't know who it is Usually we can figure it out But here we go I'm recording this on the spot Because it's about 10 seconds ago I literally just saw Eddie
Starting point is 00:44:07 Walk in the studio With no little sleigh thing on his arm And I know that we have been thinking I'm having trouble with this one I think it said Eddie walking I saw I heard it It said I just saw this 10 seconds ago I saw Eddie walking into
Starting point is 00:44:23 the studio with no sling on his arm. You heard that? Yeah. Can I hit, Ray, one more time, please? I'm recording this on the spot because it was about 10 seconds ago. I literally just saw Eddie walk in the studio with no little sleeve thing on his arm
Starting point is 00:44:38 and I know that we have been thinking maybe he's sticking this whole injury and now this is proof. It doesn't need a cast. It's accusing Eddie of faking his injury. I just heard, it's terrible. And this is proof. He doesn't need a cast. That sounds like someone who's never used the voice changer before.
Starting point is 00:44:56 You know what I mean? Like a rookie. It was hard to hear that. That was tough. Unless they were trying to throw you off the scent. Maybe, but I don't know, dude. Sounds like someone had no idea what they were doing with that voice changer. First of all, what is your response to someone saying you could be faking your injury?
Starting point is 00:45:11 That is just absurd. And you know what? I wish I was faking this injury. You broke your arm, finger quotes. No, I broke my arm roller skating. Yeah, but you broke your arm. You broke your arm. Broke your arm?
Starting point is 00:45:21 No, factual. I broke my arm. But they're not putting you in a cast because... Because the doctor said that it broke in place, and I'm bragging on myself, but the muscles were so strong in that area that it kept the bone in place. And now, he even wants me to kind of move as much as I can so that there's blood circulating in that area. No cast, arm broken, but no sling.
Starting point is 00:45:42 Well, he has a sling on right now. Right now, but if he's walking around when we're gone with no sling. Yeah. Yeah, when I stretch it. Whenever the show's over, it's kind of when I'm moving around. stretch it a little bit. Okay, here's a voicemail. Go ahead. I have a question. You're having to put the building of the furniture off
Starting point is 00:45:58 because Eddie broke his arm. Correct me if I'm wrong. But didn't you guys schedule like some Olympics that you guys were going to do and couldn't do it because Eddie broke his foot? Is Eddie really breaking stuff or he just went being out of these competitions? So that's not just at Amy? Because that's hilarious. I didn't think about it. The timing is crazy in both of those things. So Eddie was going to face off against Morgan.
Starting point is 00:46:20 in a furniture assembling competition because Eddie claimed he was like Mr. Man and he could do it faster than Morgan. We were going to do an Olympics competition when Eddie broke his foot, but we were also going to compete for Super Bowl tickets on our sports show. There was a 100-pound ball
Starting point is 00:46:34 that we worked out with and Eddie and kickoff Kevin were going to compete but Eddie broke his arm and we can't do it. Do I need to get the doctor on the phone? What do I need to do here? I mean, you could be getting anybody on the phone. I think it's unfair. No, you guys can actually call him at his office.
Starting point is 00:46:50 It's unfair that you guys are thinking that I'm making this up to get out of little games. That's three things that you've weaseled your way out of. And like I said, that timing is just crazy for all those things. Any guess on the voice changer? I mean, I have a guess. Definitely someone who's never used it before. And is itching because the last time somebody used the voice changer. She's like, I've never used the voice changer before.
Starting point is 00:47:14 Something it's Amy. I did say that. You did say that? And I have never used it before. Until now. Whoever used it would have like scuba or ray Like do it for them Oof, I don't know, dude
Starting point is 00:47:24 Because they know how to do it Sounds like she did it all on her own Well I don't know that it's her She doesn't have to admit it Whomever it is I don't even know that it's a girl For it to be that low It sounds pretty low
Starting point is 00:47:34 Okay Amy Are you admitting it was you? That was terrible That was terrible Yeah but I tried to talk real low That was terrible No no
Starting point is 00:47:45 So I talked low And then had the voice changer Take me even lower Because I was trying to throw it off, but what it threw off was just what you could hear in general. I'm going to fight through that thing.
Starting point is 00:47:57 Yeah, sorry, sorry, sorry. Okay, next time I'll just talk normal. Do you think he's faking? He definitely walked in here with no sling on. He's like, hey. Arm flapping to the wind. He's like, let me type over here. That's part of my stretches, dude.
Starting point is 00:48:07 I got to do it a couple times a day. It was just interesting. Yeah, caught you off guard. I get it. It just seemed a little like a gift to me, a gift. That was, spill the tea. Let's spill the tea.

Starting point is 00:49:26 You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are
Starting point is 00:49:42 and who we become when life makes other plans. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change.
Starting point is 00:50:04 We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth with John Hobriant, I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money. What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here? We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts. Too many of us were never, ever taught.
Starting point is 00:50:47 Financial education is not always about, like, I'm going to get rich. That's great. It's about creating an atmosphere for you to be able to take care of yourself and leave a strong financial legacy for your family. If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money, this conversation is for you to hear more. Listen to Money and Wealth with John O'Brien from the Black Effect Network on the I'd Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
Starting point is 00:51:15 or wherever you get your podcast. Hi, everyone. I'm Cheryl Strayed. of wild and tiny beautiful things, I'm excited to share that I have a new podcast called Mind Over Mountain. In each episode, I interview athletes, adventurers, and adrenaline seekers to discuss the inner landscapes and life experiences that informed and inspired their extraordinary feats. I also bring a bit of advice into the mix so we too can better understand how to face our own seemingly insurmountable challenges. Do you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to pull out what
Starting point is 00:51:49 you already have inside. We're coming into this world, fighting for our lives. All I'm going to do is pull out what you already got inside. We're there to support and celebrate each other. And that's not like your story versus my story. You're going to walk up and over that dang mountain. You're not just going to put your mind over it. Yep. Yep, exactly. And if I can't walk up and over it, I'm going to go through it. Listen to Mind Over Mountain every Thursday on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. A man wanted to propose So he put the ring in a cake
Starting point is 00:52:21 And he's like Got you a cake Eat some cake And so she eats the cake And then she bit into the ring Accidentally Almost swallowed it But still like bit it hard
Starting point is 00:52:32 So It's tough Like when you put a ring I've seen on TV They put it inside Like a champagne glass And they don't notice It's always a risk
Starting point is 00:52:41 When it comes to eating And drinking stuff So In the end It's all good but she didn't realize that she had bitten into a ring. At first she was like angry because she bit it. Like there was something in the cake that was hard.
Starting point is 00:52:56 S-C-MP. With that story. I would, here's the things I would advise. One, if you're doing a baby announcement, like a gender reveal, no fire. Okay? If you're doing an engagement, no food. Don't put it in food. I think as long as you're good, everybody's okay.
Starting point is 00:53:12 That's the rule. It's only my rule because no one's going to listen. And we've seen those videos. Those gender reveals that go fire and fields catch on fire or those are terrible. So I would say do your gender reveal however, but don't use fire. And do your engagement, however, but don't put it in food when they could possibly eat it. And also, do you know, again, I don't know this. Do you know what, like where the ring is in the cake?
Starting point is 00:53:37 Like does the person give it to you and go, we've put it underneath the pee? Mm-hmm. And happy day. So like when you slice it. Yeah. No, yeah. Yeah, yeah. That would be good.
Starting point is 00:53:48 Okay, scientists are saying that the ice bath trend is maybe not as positive as people think it is. Really? Like getting in the plunges. Cold water immersion benefits are time dependent. While inflammation increases immediately, stress reduction only occurs 12 hours after exposure. You mean inflammation decreases? It says inflammation increases. That's the opposite of what we've been told.
Starting point is 00:54:15 I'm going to read you this. Scientists pour cold water on popular ice bath health claims. Cold water immersion's benefits are time dependent, while inflammation increases immediately. Stress reduction only occurs 12 hours after exposure. Okay, well, so you get stress reduction 12 hours later. It's still a benefit. Yeah, that's like a whole day later, though. No, it's still good.
Starting point is 00:54:35 So regular cold showers lead to 29% fewer sick days at work. Okay. But they didn't affect how long illnesses lasted. And some benefits were. observed, and there were some, a little sleep quality, overall well-being, but I don't understand because if it's cold, shouldn't it help inflammation? I mean, isn't that the point of it? Quite honestly, that's what I've heard.
Starting point is 00:54:54 Is it, like, people get in there to recover. Some of my friends have ice bats. Like, I get in just so I have a great day. Yeah, yeah. And I realize I've done something in the morning. Maybe. I'm like, you know what I do in the morning? I work.
Starting point is 00:55:04 Okay. But there is something to that of like that challenge of knowing that, like, you're going to get in there and you're going to stay in for three minutes and look at you. you can tackle the day now. Look at me. I've already started working for three minutes, and I'm tackling the day. I hear you. I think there are still benefits. Who are those scientists?
Starting point is 00:55:21 Never heard of them. You know, we thought about science on this show. Never. That's what I thought. Science is what we say. Never heard of them. Okay. Every year lunchbox reserves a bunch of Valentine's reservations way early and they tries to sell them to people.
Starting point is 00:55:36 And I think he's only ever been successful once and then the person called him was like, it wasn't even the right restaurant. But he tries. What's happening this year? Guys, small businesses have no place in America anymore. I've been forced out of the business. Every restaurant I try to book a reservation,
Starting point is 00:55:52 they require a credit card now. A credit card to put down if you're going to have a reservation, and if there's a cancellation, you get charged. Some restaurants, it's $50 a person, some it's $25 a person. It varies, and I could not take the chance of not selling enough reservations because then I'd have to cancel them, and I'd lose a lot of money.
Starting point is 00:56:12 How many of you really ever sold? Two. And how long has he been doing this? Years. He's been doing this bit for years. A lot of people weren't paying. So you had them and then they would just go to waste? They'd go to waste.
Starting point is 00:56:25 But isn't that the problem? Like you're hurting small businesses by you reserving tables and then people don't show up. Like they're having to do this because of people like you. But I would cancel. I'd cancel the day of. If no one had boughton, I would go on there and say, oh, sorry, can't make it. But the problem is. Botten.
Starting point is 00:56:41 That's a word. Have you never bought in anything? I've bought some stuff. I know what you said. Oh, maybe it's bought. Yeah, go ahead. So I would go on and cancel the day up because there was no cancellation fee. Now all of a sudden we're in 2025 and it's like cool to charge cancellation fees.
Starting point is 00:56:58 So they're hurting the small business like me. And so I couldn't do it. I think part of a two Valentine's night is on a Friday night, which is terrible for the rush on industry because they already have that built in for the most part. So now it's already a night. built in. They're not making that much more money. Like on a Monday or Tuesday, even a Wednesday, big for restaurants. Friday, you're like, oh, it's the worst. Friday or Saturday. So you're out of the game. I'm out of the game this year. Maybe we will come back. Maybe it's
Starting point is 00:57:22 because it's a Friday night. That's why they're having the cancellation fees. Maybe next year, they'll be back into being like, hey, just make a reservation, no problem. We'll check back in 2026. Okay, cool. Let us know, man. We can't wait. I can't wait to hear you Bottons and more. I'll give you three celebrities, Amy, with the same name. See if you can tell me which has the highest net worth. Again. According to that website, Celebrity Net Worth. The example would be Taylor.
Starting point is 00:57:49 Taylor Swift, Taylor Sheridan, Taylor Lautner. You know what all three do? Yeah. Swift is singer. Sheridan is. Writer, director, actor. Show creator, yeah. And Lautner is.
Starting point is 00:58:02 Actor. Yeah. Who has the highest net worth? Taylor Swift. Easily, Taylor Swift at $1.6 billion. I don't know how accurate. these things are, but for the sake of the game, we're going to go. Which Paul is worth more money?
Starting point is 00:58:17 Paul McCartney. Paul Rudd. Paul Giamatti. Paul McCartney is. Beetle. Paul Rudd is. Actor. Actor. Actor.
Starting point is 00:58:31 McCartney. Paul McCartney. I'm just thinking those Beatles royalties. Giamati, $25 million. Paul Rudd, $70 million. Paul McCartney, $1.2 billion. Yeah. Nell that one. Let's go to Ryan's.
Starting point is 00:58:45 When I list their name, tell me what they do. Ryan Reynolds. Actor and a little unhinged lately. I know. I know. He's starting to be the real bad guy in that Blake lively. Spiraling. Justin Baldi.
Starting point is 00:58:56 Ryan Gosling. Actor. Ryan Seacrest. Radio TV personality. Who's worth the most of the Ryan's? Reynolds, Gosling, or Seacrest? Gosh. Reynolds.
Starting point is 00:59:10 Ryan Reynolds is a net worth of around 400 million. Ryan Gosling, a net worth of 70 million. Ryan Seacrest, $450 million. It is Seacrest. Emma Stone, Emma Watson, Emma Roberts. Can you tell the difference in those three? Yeah, they're all actresses. Like, can you see them in your head?
Starting point is 00:59:35 Emma Stone. Is she red hair? Red hair. Emma Watson, is she red hair? Brown hair? Okay. Maybe. Or blonde.
Starting point is 00:59:43 Brown hair. Emma Roberts. Maybe the blonde Which one? Emma, who'd you pick? Hold on, I guess I'm gonna go with Emma Stone. 40 million. Emma Watson has 85 million.
Starting point is 00:59:56 She's the winner. She's in Harry Potter. Oh, that's why, okay. Let's do Kate and Katie. Okay. Kate Winslet. Actress? Titanic?
Starting point is 01:00:06 Yes. And many other things. Katie Holmes. Actress? Dawson's Creek originally. I would have said Tom Cruise. Well, yeah, I haven't gotten there yet. Yeah, yeah, that's what I would say first.
Starting point is 01:00:18 That's what I know her from. Okay. Katie Perry. Singer. Who's worth the most? Katie Perry. Yeah, by far, $330 million. Dang.
Starting point is 01:00:29 What about Megan's? Megan Markle? She's an actress and married to Prince Perry. I never saw her act. Oh, she was in suits. She only to me is the person that got. Prince Harry to marry her. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:45 Megan the Stallion. And she's a philanthropist, a singer. Aren't they all? Megan Fox. Actress. Which one? Golly. Eany, meeny, miny mo.
Starting point is 01:00:57 Megan the stallion. Megan the stallion, 10 million. Megan Markel at 60 million. Okay. How much is Megan Foxworth? Like eight or something? Oh, okay. Do you believe that Megan Markle's like out of money?
Starting point is 01:01:09 Well, that's why I didn't pick her because I thought they walked away from all their stuff. It's like they're broke. They only have 100 million. Okay. One more. Leo. Leo DiCaprio. Actor.
Starting point is 01:01:21 Leonard Nimoy. I have no idea who that is. I think he was Spock back in the day. Star Trek. Okay. Nanu, Nanu. No, that's Robin Williams. He did Live Long and Prosper.
Starting point is 01:01:32 With the fingers? Mm-hmm. Or Leonardo da Vinci. Okay. Decaprio? Decaprio's worth 300 million. Neymoy's worth 45 million. and Da Vinci, estate valuation, half a billion dollars.
Starting point is 01:01:46 So Da Vinci wins. But he's not even alive. I did say a... I know he's a state, but... Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You want another one, or you're bored? Go ahead. That sounds bored to me.
Starting point is 01:01:57 No, do one more. Liam's. Liam Hemsworth? Actor. Liam Neeson. Actor. Liam Payne. Dead too, Amy, before you get on me.
Starting point is 01:02:05 One direction. Mm-hmm. Uh, I don't know. Hemsworth. Neeson. 145 million bucks. I'm surprised there's just three Liams that exists anyway. Do you know any other Liams with those three?
Starting point is 01:02:22 No. No, Liam Gallagher from Oasis. Oh, okay, I wouldn't know that. You do now, though? Do now. Yeah. Bobby Bones show. Bonehead.
Starting point is 01:02:32 Norrie of the day. This story comes us from Norwich, Connecticut. A 28-year-old man was pulled over. He was doing 130 miles an hour. And the cop comes up and says, man, what are you doing? And he goes, listen, man, I've been out and I'm really missing my cat, just trying to get home to see my cat. And the cop's like, your eyes are a little bloodshot. Can you step out of the car?
Starting point is 01:02:57 Yeah, he was drunk. Oh, no. That's a hell merry, though, to use your animal. Like, most times that pass is not going to land. But if you find, like, a, like, maybe somebody whose animal just died or somebody who, like, loves their animals so much, maybe the car goes, man, I feel you. Get home to whiskers. Right. But yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:13 He was completely blasted in his eyes. Okay. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the day. This car was abandoned at the airport for a year. It's a VW golf. And it was left in the short-term parking. It now has over $200,000 in parking fees.
Starting point is 01:03:30 At what point do you just tow it? I mean, did the person... Instead of letting him just like let it grow... Like, I would think after like $10,000, you just tow it. Airport parking fees are notorious high. This airport, the first 10 minutes in the facility. a short-term parking area is free. Then it costs $11 for 30 minutes.
Starting point is 01:03:48 So then you leave your car there for a whole year. And so the owner of a gray Volkswagen Golf left their car parked there since January of last year. It's unclear when airport authorities notice that the car had been abandoned in their expensive parking area. They continue to, one, not doing anything about it except ticket it. Local police, the abandoned vehicle finally was after $200,000 towed away. they kind of know who it is because of who it was registered to which doesn't make sense because it wasn't like a stolen car My first thought was they must have died
Starting point is 01:04:19 Yeah, right That's dark I know Because they never came back to get it Yeah So they know who it's registered to So it still could have been stolen though Meaning the person
Starting point is 01:04:29 You know a lot of these spy shows that I watch They steal a car parked at the airport And leave Is that right? Oh that's totally what it is Or they could have They also could have died They could have went on a trip and died over there
Starting point is 01:04:38 Well that's dark Well you do it on the front of it up Dang, we had a buddy This has been mentioned before Who went through tolls forever Just forgot to keep paying the tolls And ended up with like I don't know
Starting point is 01:04:50 How much was it? Oh, it was a lot Thousands 40 grand and toll Then they ended up like Waving it or something No, they settled it For thousands
Starting point is 01:05:00 Settled But they didn't waive it But if you settle Aren't you waving a certain amount Some but you didn't wave it He still ought to pay thousands of dollars And toll fees Bye everybody
