Hey, I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans,
a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans.
I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change.
We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that.
that none of us likes.
You can have opinions, you can have like a strong stance.
And then there's your body having its own program.
Listen to a slight change of plans on the I Heart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth with John Hobriant,
I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche
to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money.
What would that look like in our family?
if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here.
We break down budgeting, financial discipline,
and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts.
Too many of us were never, ever taught.
If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money,
this conversation is for you to hear more.

The Bobby Bones show.
We're going to check in with the boat in just a few minutes.
This is part two. We're not live.
If you're wondering why we're not live,
we're literally here,
but we don't have Morgan in the whole in scuba.
So this will be up on YouTube,
but you'll just have to watch it after it's over.
Does that make sense?
Yes.
You weren't even to work today.
Yes, I was. Get off my nuts.
That's, I probably reacted in a weird way there.
Mm-hmm.
I'm debating something, Amy, and I'd like for you to give me your advice.
Okay.
I did a Bobbycast with Morgan Evans.
And I did the Bobbycast, and I talked on my Instagram story yesterday about that.
I'll give you the brief version of what I had said.
I got an email.
Mike got an email, but it's us.
We get emails all the time, people pitching guests all the time for the bobbycast.
And now that shows on Netflix, it's like 20 times more than it ever was.
I got a message yesterday for the WWE going,
hey, who would you want to fly to Nashville
so you can interview them on the Bobbycast?
That's awesome.
Yeah.
And so the Netflix thing is very much helped,
but I'm not just chasing that.
I still want to put on like people in country music
because that's the core.
Oh, you know what episode's doing really well?
Cartel.
Yes.
Figured.
It is doing so well.
It's very timely.
That too.
It's amazing.
I told Mike when that was,
because the cartel,
all those, that stuff had just happened.
And I was like, we had already planned to go with that one because we have to send it to them days in advance.
So we can't just go, we choose this one.
But so we get a lot of people suggesting, hey, can we come on the show?
Can we come on Bobbycast?
And so a while ago, we got a message from an entity.
Don't want to throw them under the bus.
Okay.
Okay.
You know what that is?
Yes.
It could be a label, a PR company, a management team.
There's like five different versions of those.
So I don't want to say who it is.
And in that email, they were like, hey, we'd like Morgan Evans to come on the Bobbycast.
Now, that is a little weird because I consider Morgan Evans not just an industry friend
and not a friend like Eddie who I see all the time, but Morgan would come to my house, right?
There's a, you know, there's the layers of friends, right?
He'd been gone for a long time because he went.
He was in Australia.
So I didn't see him in a while, but I would just think, oh, maybe he would text me and be like,
hey, do you want to do something?
but also I understand not because if I were to say no he wouldn't have had to ask me.
So I don't know.
It was just kind of weird.
But in that email, they were going, hey, Morgan wants to come on.
He's got a new record coming out.
He's not going to talk about his divorce to only one person and he'll only do it one time
because he doesn't want to have to answer questions about it the whole time.
He doesn't want to make that his thing, but he did write a bunch of songs on this record
about that part of his life and other songs about other parts of his life.
and, you know, would you want him to come on and talk about that?
And it's Morgan, Morgan just could hit me up.
I said yes immediately, my friend.
And so Mike and I are like, sure.
We replied to his people, we're like, sure.
And so Morgan comes in and I don't start with it.
Also, we didn't text leading up to it about the interview.
And so he comes in and we start talking about ayahuasca,
which is so interesting to me, like any drug stuff's interesting to me.
And he goes down, and he was talking about it.
was doing it for like mental health reasons.
Like he went down to Costa Rica and you can hear this in the interview.
What is ayahuasca?
Ayahuasca.
Yeah, what is that?
I bet you Amy could explain it better, but it is a hallucinogen.
A liquid that they take and he has a shaman, except he said it was a shaw woman and I'm
not sure if that's a term that would guide type thing.
It's a traditional Amazonian psychoactive brew.
Whoa.
Originating from indigenous, shamanic practices.
and then it goes through, but yes.
Okay.
Talk about that because I'm super interested in that.
Also, you're only suggesting I might know what that is because I did ketamine.
Yeah, which is the American version.
And you were knowledgeable on us.
And I didn't need it.
I didn't have to have a shotman.
I have a licensed therapist that did it, like legally through the state of Tennessee.
Like what I did was.
You might have a licensed shaman.
I don't know.
You went to Costa Rica.
Amy, you're good. I don't know.
But that's why.
And you did know.
I don't think shamans here in Tennessee have any certifications.
And you were very knowledgeable.
He didn't do in Tennessee. He didn't in South America.
That's why I was clarifying.
So he comes in and we're just talking about that lead up and I'm looking for a natural spot.
And I'm like, was a lot of that trauma, you know, from your divorce?
And because I knew they said he wanted to talk about it.
And he's like, yeah.
And so I felt totally comfortable talking with him about it.
And in reality, I was with him during a lot of that.
Like physically with him.
like once funniest thing sidebar it's me him brett eldridge and eddie we fly up to iowa to go to
arkansas basketball game at cdbill a tournament and there's no parking we're not late but we're not
early and we get there and it's icy and cold and we pull up there's nothing and i'm like hey is there
any way we could get in i'm with brett eldridge here country singer and brett's mortified at that
and he's like stop and they're like no no parking sorry and then brett goes what about bobby bones
and they're like, guys, there's no parking.
And we're like, what about Australian sensation Morgan Evans?
And they're like, guys, there's no parking.
And Morgan goes, what about producer Eddie?
Is Eddie in there?
We got a free park.
We got a parking spot.
They put us right in the front, Amy.
Because of Eddie?
I don't know what happened.
I think it was more of like, I'm just tired of whatever they're trying to pool.
I don't know what happened, but because of Eddie, we got a spot.
Amy, she goes, all right, just go through.
There's parking the front.
No, it was more than that.
She was like, Eddie's in there?
That's funny.
So I did hit him and I said, hey, what's that? We talked about it for seven to ten minutes. It was not the main part of the interview, but it was a significant portion of just his story because his record was written about well since the last time we heard from him until now. So it's going through all of that. That's a big part of his life. He never said anything about it. He was quiet the whole time. All of that stuff was happening. And other people were talking about it and people writing songs about it and he stayed quiet. And so we're talking about it.
he's being very vulnerable and open about it. It comes out. I post a clip. I didn't message
him and I said, hey, I'm going to post this clip. I don't normally do that, but it's my friend.
I said, I'm going to post this clip. Water's going to get pretty rough for a second. And he's like,
I got it. And the clip was, hey, so when you got divorced, you know what was coming? He's like,
I didn't know it was coming. Da-da-da. Boom, watch the Bobbycast on Tuesday.
I'm just getting hammered over on my Instagram, which is fine because it's engagement,
right? Some people will go, oh, how do you deal with people hammering you in your comments? And
I'm like, oh, I deal greatly because it lifts my video to other people, like, hammer away.
And so I have this guilt about it, though, because he is like the greatest guy.
But I have this guilt that he's now going through this because of what he did and said on my show that I asked him about.
And I text him and I say, hey, man, I have this crazy guilt about that clip that I posted and about what is about to happen to you.
I don't really care so much about me.
I'm 93% calloused at this stuff by now.
I said, but I don't like it.
So just so you know, I feel guilty about asking you about that stuff.
I said, did you know they sent me that in the pitch?
You're like, I didn't know that.
Sent which part in the pitch?
Talk about his divorce.
Okay.
I said, because I would have never talked.
I don't care enough to talk about the divorce.
Right, because you're the guy that he would do it with.
Yeah.
To me, if you were to come in, I would not have gone into the, it might have come up.
So I'm not saying I would have avoided it, but I wouldn't have made a point to go and spend time, like, pointedly talking about it.
But I felt like that's what they wanted.
and he was like, that's what they said.
And I was like, that's what they said.
And we had like a like a, huh.
Well, at least we said everything honestly.
But I don't think I would, listen, I'm happy it's out there.
And this is not me in any way retracting anything because screw everybody.
But he didn't want that purposefully.
I think now he may have liked it because now it's out there and over with.
I didn't go into that because you know me.
I'm never going to got you anybody.
buddy. And if I do gotcha them, they always have the right to come back and be like,
hey, would you pull that gotcha? We have a completely open policy with people that come on the show.
If you don't like something you said, we'll take it out. Because we're going to have a relationship
for three to five years and do a lot of interviews. I don't want to ruin something because of that.
And so we had that. And I posted the thing about that yesterday. I just hate to put my friends doing
anything uncomfortable. And so, oh, I know you did your thing with them last night. He bring
that up? No. Okay, good. But also, I did not bring it up.
Do you talk to him?
Yeah, we were in the dressing room together before.
Is he not the greatest guy?
I had the copy points of the, you know, they gave me, and I was like, I said, do you need me to do this stuff on here?
He goes, I don't even know what that is.
I said, okay, good, because I'm not doing it.
Hey, you better be careful.
His people may have done that and he'd been like, just divorced.
I mean, I gave it like a gist.
They had some highlighted parts that they considered mandatory.
So I tried to work with that.
But other than that, I was just like, this is just not how we would talk as humans.
like so um so i think i like hit him on the shoulder i was like let's just get out there and be
like so you're just on the bobby cast and like referencing like that clip in my mind that's what
was trying to do and then he laughed and um it just put it's fine it put all of us in a weird
position but i think the position ended up being good for everyone but i wouldn't have done it like
that i would have let him kind of lead me there if he'd wanted to go there and i think he would
have probably led me there more organically than
me just going there, but we both thought that we just had different expectations. So that happens,
right? And the podcast is doing great. And I hope everybody listens to it, not even because of that,
because it's just such a good interview. And that's an A plus dude. Not a lot of that. I mean,
Eddie is just A minus, if that tells you anything. Yeah, I should tell you. So when I post that clip,
there's a comment. And the comment is, this is about the most pathetic excuse of masculinity I've ever
seeing get a eff in life. Now that's a comment right and that's that's the comment like I said
whatever the comments from Chase Stokes. Oh wow he he did that yeah. Dang. Are you for real?
Yeah then he pulled it all the sudden. Oh okay so he put it and then deleted it no I don't worry I
have it but you have it yeah so now I'm like don't come on my friend wait but they're not taking he's not
Exactly. But don't come by my friend. And also, not only that, you're projecting. And a dude doesn't make fun of another dude's masculinity unless they're projecting.
That is often the case, yes.
So I think I'm going to go out. I'm on Instagram today. Bobby don't. Bobby. Bobby.
I don't. I just don't like people going after my friends. I don't like it. It's not even about me.
Exactly. It's not about you.
Yeah, but I don't like people going after my...
Focus on something else like...
Do you understand?
Like, you're going to be a dad.
Let's focus on that.
Like, you're going to be a dad.
Oh, yeah, that's cool.
Please don't do that.
Don't do it.
If somebody said something like this about you, I would murder them.
And I would be like, Bobby, don't.
Like, let's just let it go.
But I would.
You'd murder it.
And then I'd murder you for telling me not to do it.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
That's a double homicide.
Your kid's going to be visiting you in jail.
Why don't you have a relationship with your dad?
He's locked up.
This is the most pathetic excuse of masculinity I've ever seen.
And you know my problem was with it?
All he was doing was telling his side of, Morgan was telling his side of the story
about a record that he wrote.
It wasn't just out of nowhere either.
It was into, he's got a project that's about the last three years of his life.
From when he left Nashville, when he was going through that to traveling around the world,
to touring to try to not think about anything, to go into South America,
to try to clear his mind, to getting in a new relationship.
All of that's on there.
you don't have the right to talk about that it pisses me off so bad i don't care as much when people
talk about me because that's just going to happen i say a lot of things and people are going to say a
lot of things about the things that i say when people stop talking bad about me i'm no longer relevant
it is a pendulum so if people in on facebook or whatever message if that ever dies and people aren't
saying bad things about me i'm no longer relevant because it matters and it bothers them
so much that they can say whatever they want to say. But that pendulum swings the other side too.
No absolute hate is ever met by just mid. And no absolute love is met by just mid. If there's
somebody that everybody loves, man, they're equal haters. If they're absolute hate on people,
there's equal love on that side. It is doing things in public is a pendulum. And so this,
if it were about me, I wouldn't care.
I don't like it being my friends.
Yeah.
It really bothers me.
Yeah.
But this is just not one I, you know?
I'm probably going to make a video about it.
Oh, gosh.
Okay.
I mean, I guess it doesn't matter what we, like, we could tell you no, no, no, no all day long.
And then I'm going to pull up my video later day and you're going to be like, okay.
What time you think about?
I don't know.
Text overlay of the comment.
This right here.
Yeah, that'll be it. Green screen.
Oh, I like those. The green screen? Those are cool.
It'll be a green screen.
I just don't like people mess on my friends. That's all.
There's a million bad ones about me. I don't care. I'm not going to post those.
Don't give a crap.
But I don't, don't. And he also has the right to do that.
Just like other people have the right to talk about whatever they want to talk about in their music.
Morgan didn't say anything about him, right?
No.
That's so strange.
No, no, no.
So that's what's up.
Maybe he'd had a martini.
Maybe he's on a boat, man.
Drinking on a boat, it does weird things to you.
And then he was like, oopsie, I better pull that down.
Eddie, what do you think about that?
I don't know.
Like, my first question was what Amy asked.
Like, but they're not together, right?
They're not.
No, they've broken up.
And I wouldn't say anything like that because if I were going to be mean,
I'm not going to be mean in it at all.
Okay, well, that's refraised.
Yeah, I don't think you're going to be mean.
I think that the projection part could be the case for sure.
And what I find frustrating sometimes is the lack of respect for both people being able to share their sides.
Like in my divorce, there's my version, right?
My experience, how I experienced it.
Then there's how my ex-husband experienced it.
And we have different filters.
We have different, like we have, I mean, hopefully our situation is at least close enough to each other.
but then there's actual if someone was there, you know, witnessing it, there would be that version,
which is probably closer to what actually happened without emotions involved.
Like, these are the facts.
This is what went down, right?
So it's like when I did go into the comments and what I saw, I was just like,
of that video.
Of that video.
Yeah.
Because it just seemed like people, they don't want the other person to be able to share
their side. I love that
everyone should get to do that
if they want to be public about it and this was something
that was very public. So
people do it in their own time
and respectfully one side has already been shared
and now another side
maybe shared through music.
You like that? Yeah.
Through music.
I don't know. I mean I guess so when I just thought
of my own divorce so I was like oh yeah you know
like if if my ex-execis and I were artists
and songwriters and expressed, you know, our situation through music and that was a therapeutic
tool and whatnot.
Like, there would be my version and there would be his version and then there would be the truth.
And not that both of our respective truths aren't our truths, but it's like they're tangled up
in our filters and our emotions.
Yeah.
Which are different for each person.
I think it's still weird, though, that like there's two people, but then he was a boyfriend
that came later.
Well, yeah, I know we're talking about that part.
But he's only going to get her story too.
Right, correct.
That's the only one he's doing.
He's getting her version.
So maybe he's being protective of that.
And then, yes, there may be some projection.
But I guess I'm just saying from other people in the comments,
like, why is it a problem for both, like, why can't both sides do their art?
Yeah.
Yeah, because he hasn't.
And in the interview, and People Magazine did a story on it.
And I do those, and I don't really remember everything that said,
because it's an hour.
and so there was a
and I felt pretty good about it
there was a clip
that they quoted
and I do remember
I'm talking about this
and Mike just pulled it up
Morgan Evans says he went through
all the stages of grief
while dealing with online vitriol
amid Kelsey Ballerini
divorce
will you go down to where he's talking about
here going
um
keep going
okay
Morgan Evans also said he reflected
on the advice given to him
by his good friend
bones who said kept him going during the early days of his life post-divorce.
This is from Morgan. He said, you said, there's only two ways you can deal with this.
You can go and you can say everything is loudly and you can be as honest as you can.
Or you just need to go away. Don't say anything and live your best life.
That's the advice I gave him. You can't do it in the middle.
We're going to do float a couple things here there. You don't do that. You're just constantly
in a state of it. And he was emotional. And I was like, dude, you can say everything right now.
everything get it all out, but say everything as true as possible, or probably just go away
and do nothing. Probably the healthier thing, but I would understand if that wasn't what you wanted
to do, because that tends to not be what I do. My wife has kept me from burning things down
over the last few years, because all of me, you just burn stuff down, and then I'll just deal with
the ashes later. I haven't done that as much recently, but that was the advice that I gave him.
and he brought that up and I kind of forgot until I read that.
I still like that advice.
I think I tell people the same thing now.
You got two options.
If you're going to do it, don't hold back.
Do it all so you feel like whatever that fulfillment is of getting it all off your chest.
Don't keep beating that drum.
You've already said it.
Don't keep beating the drum or don't say anything at all.
And like collect yourself in an untriggered version of yourself at some point later.
You may decide you don't want to do it or you do want to do it in a healthier place.
But it's a good thing.
difference in responding versus reacting.
For sure. And man, I'd love to react.
Which is kind of what you might.
That's kind of what you'll be doing later today with a video.
But then you have the people's side of it, right?
Like if one is talking and the other one isn't, automatically they only have one story,
so that's the story they go with.
But people know there are two stories.
They do, but if they're just given one, they just take that for what it is.
That's what I'm trying to say as a spectator of this because I don't, I'm not close to Morgan
and like Bobby. I mean, I know, I know both of them. I like both of them. I don't, I'm not
emotionally invested in this in any way. So I'm just sort of like, okay, yeah, to your point, Eddie,
I've heard the one side. I'm like, okay, and I respect that that's being out there. That's
someone's right to share. But I guess it's like where I get confused is people not having
compassion for both sides of like, because some of the comments were very much like, oh, well, now you're
going to say something or we know you already did this and she gave you half the house.
Like, I mean, just like they're so entangled in this relationship that they don't know anything
about.
And they've only heard one story, one side of the story.
And they believed all of it thinking.
That's what I mean.
But also, you know, don't get so invested in these people's lives when, yeah, there are so
many details probably even left out of what you think you're getting the whole truth, even
if someone's being vulnerable and sharing a lot with you.
there's still so many details that people keep close to the chest.
Because even if Morgan is finally opening up and getting vulnerable now,
there's still so much he's not sharing.
There's so much he didn't share because he's a good guy.
Yeah.
Anyway, I got that comment.
I was just like, how about that?
It's crazy.
What was he thinking writing that in my comments?
I wonder if he opted to take it down or someone from his team saw it,
and they were like, you probably should take this down.
And how quickly did it come down?
I don't know.
once the boat docked
don't know
that's interesting you saw it
because what if it went
oh who saw it
a million messages telling me
hey you see Chase Stokes
posted a comment
I did not
because we were cruising
doing our stuff
and I was like I did not
dang and they were like
people were like
well we have it
and I was like to see
what it was said
because you didn't know
you know what side
it was going to land on either
yeah
so there's that
it's hard all around
for everybody
I mean divorce is just hard
and having it public.
Oh, hard.
Man, I could write some good songs.
Amy, get to it.
Do it.
Amy comes out with an album.
No music, though.
Just her singing acapella.
Okay, let's do a story.
Amy go.
So it's looking like HBO Max and Paramount Plus are going to merge.
Merge.
Yeah, because that went through.
and Netflix wasn't the person.
I think there's some political things that happened here, but yeah.
Yeah.
And so I guess it's cool.
However, I'm like, well, how are they going to price this?
Because HBO is anywhere from like 1099 to 2299 or something.
And then Paramount's like $8 to $17 or something.
So I imagine they maybe take a sweet spot in the middle of that range and then you're going to get both.
So it's actually going to be a win, I think, from a pocketbook because I'm currently
paying for both.
But I'm just like, do you think one day it's going to happen where like, can we just get?
Cable.
Can we, yes, can we just get everybody together?
Because even like, I forget where I'm watching stuff.
It's so complete.
Like I, like last night I was like, oh, I want to watch the new Paradise episode.
But my brain, I was like, where do I watch Paradise?
And I'm like, oh, yeah, Hulu.
So then I go to Hulu.
And then.
How many have you seen?
Paradise.
Well, last night I watched half of the.
latest one, so I still have half to go.
Mike and I were talking about that before we came on.
I love Paradise Season 1.
That was fantastic. There is a chance.
This is better than season one.
Really?
Okay.
But you've seen 85%.
I know, but I'm confused about one thing that's happening, but I probably need to finish
the episode so I get clarity because I'm like, what the...
And are you paying attention?
Kind of.
Like are you roller skating at the same time?
No, but you tend to do a lot of things.
No, but I had a moment last night where I was like, is this?
about to get like...
Uh-oh, Amy.
I'm not going to say anything.
That was close.
I think season two is better than season one, and I love season one.
Mike Dots.
I'd say the storyline is stronger and is getting there.
It's really good.
Sterling K. Brown is awesome.
Yeah.
He is freaking awesome.
Eddie Story.
Man, I don't know what to think about this.
I don't know if the St. Louis Cardinals are stupid or if it's just the best thing in the world.
saw a story where the St. Louis Cardinals for this next season coming up, they're going to give
tickets for $29 bucks with bottomless concessions.
Yeah, it's specific things.
Dude, you tell that to me with four boys.
Well, you got to buy $29 for each kid.
That's fine.
$30?
And they get to have 20 hot dogs?
Yeah.
Hot corn?
That's where they get you.
Are sales down?
No, no.
They just want people there.
And the Cardinals maybe haven't been as good lately.
but it's also they're going to make a killing off this promotion.
People can't eat that much.
Oh, oh.
Oh, I beg to differ.
Six people altogether can, but you're also paying $180.
Right?
Yeah, yeah.
Well, you did the math.
Thank you.
Well, if you're doing 30 and six.
Yeah, I trust you.
You're not going to be able to eat more than two hot dogs and a couple sodas.
And those hot dogs are like a dollar apiece.
Okay, but can you buy candy?
All this stuff's included.
So sodas, candies, right?
There's a lot included.
Put them in a bag.
It's not going to work like that.
It's not.
But it is a great promotion.
I already told my wife, I buy our tickets.
We're going to St. Louis.
We're going to a Cardinals game.
I think it's a great promotion.
And you are going to save money with six kids.
Yes.
But I think people, their eyes are a little bigger in their bellies when it comes to this.
It's kind of like a buffet.
Yeah, when you're like, I'm going to have it all.
All you can eat.
And you get there and you're like, oh, I'm kind of full.
You just explain why they did it.
Like, that's why people like you.
Okay.
So they're not stupid.
No, I would say they're not stupid.
They just got you.
Yeah, I wouldn't say they're not stupid.
Did you get your kids any souvenirs?
No.
No, I didn't.
And I could tell when I got home, they were like, all right, dad's home.
What did you get us?
And it's like, man, we travel so much.
If I bought them something from everywhere we go, like, it would be so expensive.
And I was thinking, you know, Q.S, what do I get them?
What do they have a key West?
Shot glasses, cigars.
A snow globe.
Cigars.
Bring them all cigars.
They sell like magnets.
A hoodie?
Yeah, I don't know.
I just thought about it, but I'm like, man, am I a bad dad for not bringing back
souvenirs for them?
I had that exact thought.
Don't worry.
I mean, bad mom.
Did you?
I didn't.
At the airport, when you were leaving, I was like, oh my gosh, I should go over to
that booth at the airport and grab something real quick.
And then my son's not with me when I just got back, but I stopped by his dad's house.
And when he came out, like, I had this feeling over me.
I was like, I should be giving him a little gift right now.
See, I had this.
Something for my daughter.
daughter, my daughter collects snow globes.
And I was like, oh, I should have got her one.
I had the same thought at the airport, but all they had was like these coconut candles.
I'm like, my boys don't want coconut candles.
They don't, but they have like something that they didn't like better than nothing.
They had rum cake.
I don't know what that is, but.
Isn't it cake made with rum?
I feel like they can't have that.
Is a rum still alcoholic?
It cooks out.
Even I think I thought that.
And I was the one scared of like beer battered my whole life.
I am beer battered fish.
Beer battered shrimp.
I get drunk.
Yeah.
I mean, I was doing my pizza making class on the ship.
Like, we were all touching certain things, you know, like before we baked it.
And the chef was like, hey, I know you might be like freaking out.
Like if something gets in the cheese or whatever, he goes, that oven right there.
It's at like almost 700 degrees.
We're killing everything that's happening.
So don't worry.
And I was like, oh, that makes me feel better.
So when they do like beer battered.
It's cooked out.
Okay.
Do you see the gifts that Rascal Flats gave Chris Laine and Lauren Elena?
For the tour?
Yeah, and a tour gift?
No.
So there was a picture.
And I didn't know if it was real or not.
AI sometimes gets me.
But they gave them one of them a Mustang and one of Bronco.
What?
Cars?
Atlanta drove off in a new Ford Bronco,
and Chris Lane was gifted a shiny new Ford Mustang.
Dude, what the?
That's crazy.
Yeah, I can show you the picture.
One other thing, investigators are definitely closer
in finding suspects in a Nancy Guthrie case.
Okay.
It says definitely.
What does that even mean?
I don't know.
More than a month after Nancy Guthrie was abducted,
Sheriff Chris Nanyo says investigators are definitely closer to identifying a suspect telling the Today Show.
They have a lot of intel and leads.
Okay.
Oh, look at the cars, by the way.
Can you show that on YouTube?
Yeah, I got it.
Are you frustrated?
You sound like lunchbox.
When somebody else gets something, you're mad.
No, it's not that.
It's just that we've opened up for so many people.
They did 21 shows with them.
Yeah.
What's the most we've done?
Two.
One, probably.
Tell me Keith, we did one.
Yeah.
Tracy Lawrence, we did one.
Garth? Garth didn't get us anything.
One?
Mostly we don't open, dude. We're headliners.
I know, but I've seen so many of these stories who are like, oh, Luke Bryan got everyone
a Rolex.
But those are massive multimillion-dollar tours.
I did get, like, my openers on my comedy tour's gifts.
What did you get them?
No, no, God, no.
What?
No.
Something like Jordans.
Oh, that's cool.
Or something nice like that, like in the $1,000 range more than that.
That's amazing.
Anyway, they say...
So who got the Bronco?
Who got the...
The Mustang?
Lauren got the Bronco.
Chris got the Mustang.
That's awesome.
Yeah, that's cool.
Doorbell footage was a masked armed man near the home.
Police were analyzing the speed car.
They'd save their stuff.
Okay.
Whatever.
Well, good.
I hope...
I hope to.
All right.
That's that.
That's that on that.
We're going to go check in with them on the boat.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care which I'll say it.
Yep.
That's me.

I went and sat on the little ottoman in front of him.
I said, hi, dad.
And just when I said that, my mom comes out of the kitchen,
and she says, I have some cookies and milk.
This is a badass convict man just finished five years.
I'm going to have cookies and milk at mom.
Yeah.

I feel like it was a little bit unbelievable until I really start making money.
It's Financial Literacy Month, and the podcast Eating While Broke is bringing real conversations about money, growth, and building your future.
This month hear from top streamer Zoe Spencer and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum-Pierre, as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up.
If I'm outside with my parents and they're seeing all these people come up to me for pictures, it's like, what?
Today now, obviously, it's like 100%.
They believe everything, but at first it was just like, you got to go get a real job.
There's an economic component to communities thriving.
If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail.
And what I mean by fell is they don't have money to pay for food.
They cannot feed their kids.
They do not have homes.
Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them.

All right.
We're going to go over to the boat and check in with, I feel like attrition.
A what?
It's happening.
Attrition.
What is that?
The loss of stuff.
Like, we're losing people.
Oh.
I don't know this word.
Yeah, I've never heard that.
That's not a big word.
No, no, sorry, are you saying A.
Atrition.
Atrition.
A-T-R-I.
A-T-T-R-I.
Like, I've heard people say it and then I've been like a word.
I don't think you're flexing.
I'm for real.
I've never even heard someone use it.
It's gradually reducing the amount or the structure.
of something.
Oh, like, I've heard atrophy.
Different.
It's like, well, it's gradually reducing the amount of muscle mass you have.
So maybe, I'm sure in Latin, like the atria means something like somewhere.
Okay, so through attrition, we're losing people.
We don't have Ray today.
We don't have lunchbox again today.
We're talking to the boat right now.
Are they okay?
Yes.
Have you talked to them?
No, but I saw, I just saw Ray on Instagram with a, I believe, a mimosa, I
think he's doing fine.
Like right now?
Instead of being here.
No, no, no, no, no, because it's a work event.
They have an event with listeners.
That's what I'm saying.
He's with a mimosa instead of being here.
Yeah, but working, not just drinking.
Just because you're with listeners doesn't mean you have to drink the mimosa.
No, no, no, no.
It's an event, like a planned scheduled activity.
You know how there's activities?
So we do have Scoob, Steve and Morgan on with us.
Hi, guys.
Hey, guys.
I see it more as Survivor.
The strongest have survived here on this boat.
I'm going to win.
But what's been happening over the last day?
So for me, I think the best thing about this experience is the connection with the audience and the listeners.
And they're always very apologetic.
When you see them, you probably saw it too.
Like, I'm so sorry to bother you.
I'm like, we're on this cruise ship.
We're stuck together.
It's all good.
And it's even weird because I feel like I'm like the lowest as far as on the show of who people would care about.
But it seems like it feels opposite when you're here.
Everyone's so excited to say hi to take pictures.
I've never signed autographs of anything.
I'm signing autographs.
It's kind of weird, but also kind of cool.
But so far, it's still going well.
No mess is yesterday as far as with Ray and Lunchbox.
Everyone's been great with their schedule.
Ray's curbed his drinking, I think, except for today.
Now he's in Bimini, so they're going pretty hard at this point.
I think he had to curb his drinking, or he would have died.
Yeah.
I had to do his night event last night.
Around midnight, I had to take over the stage thing.
So they have me doing that yesterday.
I think Morgan does it today, so they've divided it.
They don't have Ray do late night stuff anymore.
Or?
He would have died.
So what was last night, Lee Bryce?
Yes, yeah, yeah.
We went to go see him, I didn't.
Was it in the theater on the boat, or was it a stage on that island?
Yeah, it was in the theater, where you guys played in the reflection theater he was in there.
And then Cassie Ashton was playing up on the top.
I mean, there was music everywhere.
Scuba was doing screamo at his introduction thing.
I don't remember that.
I've got all the music variety.
That theater, because I saw videos of it, looked huge.
And again, Eddie and I played it, but we only saw it from the front.
Yeah.
I was watching people that were shooting videos from the mid to back of the Libreys playing.
That theater, it's amazing to me.
There's a theater that big on a boat.
And I know it was amazing to me the elevators.
You guys can make fun of me.
No, it really is.
Even like when we were on stage, you're like, this looks like a theater in the downtown of a city.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But it's on a boat.
How was the Libra?
Did he play The Kiss My Fish song?
that part I don't know
I only stayed for a few songs
before I was getting pulled in different directions
but he did play the
I like your soul baby
that one was good
I watched that one happen
I don't know that one
No you guys don't know that one
It's like yeah that's the only
Do you play I drive your truck
I'm sure he did
He was on piano
He what?
At one point he went and did like solo piano too
So I'm pretty sure that's when he did some of his slow stuff
Did he mention the time his bass is trying to beat me up
that I'm aware of
Man, I thought we were past that.
The listeners will tell you everything that happens on this boat
if you don't catch something.
So if that did happen, we would know.
Oh, you mean if he said something about it
and you were gone, they would have told you.
Yes, yeah, they tell us everything.
Like, there are no secrets on this boat.
If one listener sees you, it's all, everybody knows.
Yeah, I get the only feedback that gave from that show
was that he missed something.
Like, I guess there was a point where he forgot a lot of the lyrics
and he was just kind of like fumbling through it.
They're like, something was wrong with Lee Bryce.
I'm like he was probably drunk.
You can't not be drunk apparently at this point.
Yeah.
I mean, he was in the hot tub earlier that day.
Some people said they were hot tubbing with Lips right.
That's crazy.
Can you imagine being on a boat with Lee Bryce in a hot tub?
That's why it's called Top Shelf Country Cruise.
That's it.
Let's see.
Let's look at Lee Bryce song, so many we know.
Drinking buddies.
I got some drinking buddies.
Always on my mind.
I know that one.
No, that's drinking problem.
That's, uh...
Oh, dang.
That's Midland
That's Midland
Okay, you do know this one
At the parking lot party
Zippe Zimbsom Zom Zimba Zipa Zipa Zom
In the parking lot party
And then
I know I know love like crazy
Love like crazy
That's it
That's a good one
Let's see
Memory I don't mess with
That memory I don't know
You can't guess
You have to really know it
No I really do know that one
It's just not, you know, tone is off.
Memory I don't miss.
Same exact melody as the last one.
So drinking class?
Raise your hands to the drinking class.
That one?
Kind of.
All right, Mike.
Raise your hands.
Stomp your feet.
Mighty devils can't be beat.
Did you guys have that in high school?
Kevin, do you guys have that in high school?
No.
And then they go slower.
Raise your hands
Stomp your feet
Mighty devils can't be big
Oh, you just fill in the mascot?
Yes.
Yeah, duh.
I thought that was like your alma mater song or something.
Well, it was a song they sang.
I wonder if Leebry sang that.
I don't see it over here.
Let's see.
One of them girls.
I'm one of them girls.
I'm one of them girls.
Hold on.
I know that one.
I've heard him sing that one.
but I give up on trying to sing on
Killed the man boy soul
Oh I like this one
Hard to love
Hard to love
I know that one
Oh did you skip over
Kill a man
Did you say kill him man
Killed a man
Killed a man
I think that was his confession
That they never put out as a single
And he's trying to get it off his chest
That he killed somebody
There's nothing
Oh here's one
My bass is beat up Bobby
Oh that's a jam
A rumor
There's a rumor going round
That's what it is
That's what it is.
About me and you.
That's what it is.
I drive my truck.
Oh, I hope you dance.
I hope you.
Oh, that's Lee Ann Womack.
Yeah, what?
I went from Lee Bryce to Leanne Womack.
Yeah, we moved on.
So Amy had a great point yesterday because I had a, what?
You happy that I'm saying you had a great point?
Tell me more.
What was it?
Because I think I had a little guilt about saying that people could get tired on the boat, us.
But Amy's like, it's not stop energy for us because we're hosting things constantly.
It's like a, so.
it is fun but it's a lot of energy i have to think scuba steve that you are
tired oh yeah i would say drained but in a good way though because it's it's not like it's
it's been a bad time it's been a great time but after a full day of like talking and having
a run around and go from this event to that event it's just the events right i mean if you could
just spend a couple days and you're just being able to hang out i'm sure it'd be good energy to
oh my god yeah totally yeah definitely different that way yeah scuba's getting less and less
dressed every day too.
He's got a tanking on.
Today he's got...
With flamingos on it.
Yeah, Jordan Flamigos.
Yeah, today's Bimini Day, so it's a beach day.
Are you buying clothes as you're there?
Did you bring enough?
When I was in Key West, I bought some clothes because I was running out, looking at what
was coming up.
Got it.
And Morgan, how are your clothes selection going?
I brought way too many clothes.
I had two checked bags.
It was bad.
There was so many clothes in my closet.
So I'm doing good there, but I am exhausted.
I feel like I've been doing a lot and walking around and playing games with people and gambling.
And I go back to my room and I feel like I haven't slept in days.
And people are offering me alcohol everywhere I turn.
Like I turn a corner and they're like, you want to, you want to drink?
You want some alcohol here?
It's kind of your brand.
I know.
And I'm trying to drink with them.
But I'm also trying to survive.
I'm not doing well.
Yeah, that's the hard part.
Yeah.
I think some of the people who are who are not for you know there's a small selection that's not here for us they're here for crook and chase or whoever or just the music because it's the top shelf country crew that's not called the bobby on show cruise as much as we sold it there are people that came just because they saw all the music on there yeah go ahead
yeah no totally yeah great point and I think those people are over us because I remember because I was at a thing yesterday I was just going to the bathroom and as I was going to the bathroom I got stopped and they wanted to take a
photo. I'm like, of course, but then I also don't just take a photo and run. I want to, you know,
have a conversation for a second. And someone, one lady, not even 30 seconds into the conversation,
she gets up and she goes, excuse me, we paid to see goose gosset, not hear you talk.
And then I was like, all right, well, I was just being nice, having a conversation. And then she
kicked me out of wherever I was at. And I'm like, all right, well, okay, fine. She sounds like she's
from New Jersey. I don't know where she was from. Scoob's impression sounded like somebody
She could have just said, hey, excuse me, sir, we're trying to watch this show.
Can you please?
Because it was during a show from Goose Gossage.
Exactly, yes, or whatever's name is.
And you were talking?
Oh, Goose Gossage is a reliever for the Yankees.
Goose Gossett.
He has a, I guess, a singer-songer.
Yes, yes.
Goose Gossage is a guy.
Different guy.
You know, there are people on that boat that aren't drinking, which is crazy.
Like, couples.
I met couples that were just like, yeah, we don't drink, so it's kind of crazy seeing everyone get all drunk.
I'm like, wow, how can you be on this cruise and not drink?
because everyone is drinking.
Yeah, I guess I just, I've never drank.
I was never really, I could see where people would just start hooking up, though,
because you're just trapped on a ship.
Oh, guys.
Morgan, what did you do?
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, Morgan.
No, no, no, no, no.
I'm scared.
I'm scared.
We were walking in the state rooms, and we saw one of the doors.
There was a bunch of pineapple.
and they were swingers, and it said on the door
that they were looking for people to swing with.
I saw your Instagram story.
It said that on the door?
It was like a bunch of pineapples,
and it was attached to sayings, like, looking for fun.
Whoa.
Do you think they're just being, like, funny or for real?
Are you that blatant with it?
I thought it's like more of a...
I think you are.
Yeah, I think you have to be.
Or how do people...
You don't want that confusion.
Yeah, because I've always wondered, like,
how does that conversation go down?
I guess you have to be straightforward
and be like, are we doing this?
Explain this to me, that would be great.
I just, I'm fascinated.
There's some older ladies that came up to me, and they're like, we put a pineapple on our door, like, you know, celebration, whatever.
And they said people keep coming by and putting it upside down.
And they're like, we found out what that means.
And we keep trying to turn our pineapple upside because we don't want it upside down.
We aren't swingers.
I would just get rid of the pineapple.
I'd pull the pineapple.
Yeah, that'd be a quick.
We just go ahead and, like, trash the pineapple because I don't want confusion at all.
I was on by a lesbian.
Good for you.
And she was there with her wife, but she said her wife would understand.
That's a great compliment, right?
It just depends.
Because it could be three.
That's like a hall pass.
She said it in front of her wife, so that part was awkward,
because I don't think her wife really gave the face that was...
Oh, well, that's awkward.
Like, this face understands.
So I chalked it up to them just being funny and playful and ha-ha.
that I walked away.
Do you think they were being funny and playful?
I don't know, and I wasn't going to...
I wasn't going to test it out.
If I had to guess, maybe the one that said it wasn't,
was being for real, but the other, her wife was not okay with it.
I probably sent me check with before you do it in front of her.
I mean, yeah, they'd been, I mean, it was in the casino.
I did have this, like...
I feel like what's said in the casino just...
Good point.
That's Vegas.
What stays in Vegas in the room of the casino?
What?
I did have this lady kind of get handsy with me.
That's what I'm saying.
Like all of a sudden this just turns into Love Island and everybody's just like switching
up.
Like I leaned in because she was saying something.
I couldn't hear her so she would like start rubbing my leg.
But she was like, by 75, dude.
Like it was crazy.
I had to get her hand and be like, okay.
Move that.
Sorry that happened to you.
There is some touchy-feely stuff happening.
I've had my face grab several times.
It's like they were going in for a kiss.
I have to be like, oh, okay, sorry, French kiss.
What?
By a guy?
French kiss?
No, like, you know how they kiss on the cheeks?
Like, so I'm trying to dodge the situation.
It's happened a few times now.
I just think near the end of cruises, people have tried every sort of stimuli there is,
and now let's go find some new.
Freshing it up.
I do think, and I'm not in control of this,
but Scoob, I do think the original plan,
unless you feel good.
about it is the plan that we should have gone with where it's like a few days tag off the energy
stays up for everybody unless it's just like more if morgan wants to stay for seven days
god love her she can stay for seven days but i feel like for us to be the best on the boat it's going to be
hard to do seven days because they're exhausted and if you're like hey lead an event on day six
and by that time you've already been in a room with two lesbians all night getting all hands yeah
swinging yeah for the best quality for them is is that
Exactly, because even some of the artists, too, they're only on here for two or three days and they bounce.
Yeah.
They get the best of them for those two or three days.
People are on for a vacation.
They're on a cruise.
They go and do other stuff with the people they're on vacation with.
And we're obviously a big part of it.
It's not our cruise, but we've kind of said, hey, we're going to be there and do our thing.
But we should be there every day.
But we should split it up.
And if that, they're like, now we can't do that.
That's fine.
But that was the original plan, whatever I suggested.
Hey, Eddie and I'll go first for a few days.
Amy and Morgan come in.
lunchbox comes in, you know, Ray ended up being able to go.
But I don't know, maybe Ray wants to stay the whole time.
This could be Ray's thing.
He could just be the mayor of Cruzeville.
It is fun to be there altogether, though, for at least one day.
You can't really make that happen, though.
Can we overlap one day?
No, I guess not.
Yeah, you can overlap one day if Amy wants to come day two.
There you go.
But then it's just us three.
Okay.
Well, we have time to figure it out.
Yeah, whole year.
Listen, I will say, I am, you know, besides the exhaustion, I do feel like I'm thriving.
I get to eat ice cream all the time whenever I want.
There's people throwing alcohol, throwing money at me to play at the casino.
Like, you know, I can't hate any of that.
It's a pretty good time.
If you love it, you should stay all seven days.
If anybody wants to.
I have to while I'm out there still do the show because if the show doesn't run,
the company loses a lot of money.
I don't think I have the energy to go five days and still do this show at a level that
it needs to be done.
And the company's going to go, well, we're losing money because show sucks.
And sometimes it's hard to get a good connection.
Anyway, something to think about
because I'm looking forward to it next year.
I didn't get to stay.
I get cut off a day this year.
But yeah, everybody's having a good time.
How's lunchbox doing?
He's not here again this morning
because I think he's doing something else.
I heard he was with two lesbians.
By the pineapple doors.
What's he doing, scuba?
He's at Bimini.
Him and Ray, they got off early.
They got on golf carts and they're going to Resorts World,
which is like a hotel about five or six minutes
from the cruise port.
And then all day today they're doing
like almost like games leading up to the Libre show so like double dare imagine that like a bunch of
different like stuff with like buckets and sand and all kinds of beer pong tournament a bunch of random
stuff and then they intro Lee Bryce and then they bounce and come back on the boat around like I think
3 34 o'clock am I confused yeah did Lee Bryce already play I thought yeah so he has two he has two moments
where he says he plays let him in let him in they're doing a lot of announcements today on this
What are they saying?
It's a crew.
It's a crew participation for emergency drills because most of the people are off the boat,
so they're doing a bunch of testing today.
That's the girl that escorted us to the stage.
How do you recognize that?
Because she said she's the one that does the announcements.
Oh, then that would make sense at how you'd recognize that.
Sorry, Scoop, what were you saying?
No, that's okay.
So Libre has two different obligations.
One was last night, which was his theater shows,
and then it's a party at Bimini with Libre.
So he has two big hits.
All right.
Anything else before we bid you a fond farewell for the day?
I will say I've had to be lunchbox as handler most of this trip.
In what way?
You know, I either function as his babysitter, his mother, or his handler, really, one of the three.
Is he getting really drunk?
Not drunk, but he just like, he's always loud and obnoxious and he just doesn't really have an off switch.
And so, like, if he needs to be somewhere or be somewhere on time or know what we're doing, know what the schedule is,
He's not keeping track of anything.
So the only way he's making it to things is by way of me.
Yeah.
I can't say that's atypical for him to have to be led places and told places.
But it's just knowing it has to be Morgan who's doing it.
Yeah.
Because she has like a lot of other responsibilities that she has to do.
Well, they paired them up together for a lot of their stuff too.
Oh, well, that's good.
Thinking that I would make sure he's always there and responsible.
Yeah.
And he has a full black card.
now, right? So he's able to. Yeah, he does. He's legit now. He's able to drink too.
Well, I mean, he doesn't have that kind of a car. Oh, he doesn't have that one. He doesn't have that
for those. Yeah, but people are buying him drinks. He hasn't had to really pay for a lot. Don't let him fool you.
But would he have to pay for anything? Yes. So he has a black card but doesn't have premium package.
You and I are the only ones that had it. I would, this is what I would say. I would almost
guarantee they'll pay for whatever he, he's buying at the end. Like if he gets a bill at the
end? Yes. I don't know that for sure. Well, Eddie thought he was going to have to have a bill.
All right, and you open it up, and it said zero.
I opened my app yesterday or a couple days ago, and it said zero.
And I ordered, I ordered, like, I don't know, four beers, some food.
I just can't see them making you guys pay for something that was a work trip.
Now, I can see if we go on a work trip and you guys get drunk at an event.
It's different, but you're trapped on a boat.
You're trapped.
You can't, like, go out to a restaurant when you're on the sea.
If you go out in one of these places, I think you have to pay for that.
Yeah, that's different.
But if you're on the boat, have it, man.
What do you want?
Drugs, alcohol.
Let her root.
So what's Bemany like, guys?
It looks really small.
Yeah, it's a very small island in the Bahamas.
But the water is like ocean blue.
You can see through it.
Gosh, I love that.
Pretty.
Okay.
Good to talk to you guys.
Heck yeah.
Carry on.
They're so tired.
Cheers.
Cheerio.
So what's the schedule then?
So Bemany and then a day at sea.
So tomorrow it's all face-to-face interactions
from top to bottom.
But you're coming home, right?
Yeah, we're coming home Friday morning.
We disembark Friday morning around, I think, like 730 or 8 o'clock.
And you don't have to go through customs, right?
Because you're back in America.
No, I believe we still have to go through customs.
We do that here.
Okay.
Okay, we do it here.
And then when we get back to Florida, then, yeah, we're good.
We just do normal stuff.
I think they just put slides off of every level and you just slide off and go home.
That would be awesome.
All right, guys.
I'll talk to you tomorrow.
All right, later.
Bye.
And that's going to do it for today.
Thank you very much.
We will be here tomorrow.
Ashley McBride on tomorrow's Bobbycast.
Hope you check that out.
It is a fantastic, fantastic, fantastic interview.
Can't say enough good things about her.
All right, you guys, have a great day.
And we will see you on Thursday.
Bye, everybody.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep, that's me.

On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth with John Hobriant,
I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money.
What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here?
We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real wealth,
starting with the mindset shifts.
Too many of us were never, ever taught.
