But if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit.
Starting point is 00:02:46 If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot in luck. Listen to Thanks Dad on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. A micro wedding. What do you think that is? Because I thought I was going to be a wedding of really small things. No, I would imagine.
Starting point is 00:03:19 A bunch of tiny cake. Is everything just scaled down? I don't mean, like, yes, size of the cake, but just people and all that's put into it, even the time of the wedding. So stress and money are the biggest factors in weddings not being fun, the stress leading up to it, the money being paid for it. According to Zola.com, the average U.S. wedding now costs over $35,000 if you had all the bells and whistles. That's insane. That's the average.
Starting point is 00:03:45 That's the average, yeah. For that reason, couples are choosing to go with guest lists of about 25 people, thrifting dresses, and going low-key on decor. It is called a micro-wedding. The move also helps newly what's focused on buying a home or paying for the honeymoon. many experts agree that micro is the way to go WCPO. I agree. I think you should not put yourself in debt to have a wedding. Now, I don't want to be hypocritical because we had a really big wedding, fun wedding, but I'd put myself in debt to do it. And also, like, the entertainment was all free.
Starting point is 00:04:14 Can you imagine what that wedding would have caused? We had to pay for your band band. Your band, that was super fun. That was definitely not free. That was not free, but I'm talking about the big, yeah. Ronnie Dunn, Ronnie Dunn, Rascal Flats, Dan and Shea. Too much. That'd have been a million dollars for those three. I didn't it's free it's free 99 that's good benefit of not no not one of them try to charge you no hey shade in we get it we get an invoice a random invoice now um so yeah a wedding it's fun but it comes and it goes it's like spending way too much money on a meal it can be great and you will enjoy it
Starting point is 00:04:48 but man you're going to be after what you're going to be like man that happened so quick i'm full it was great but why did i spend all that money on that dude your wedding was awesome wedding was awesome awesome I went on a date with a guy once. Last night? No. No. No. No.
Starting point is 00:05:00 This, like, last year. And I was trying to Google something about him or learn about him. And then I googled and I found his wedding online. And I was like, well. And I mean. His wedding was online? His wedding video? No.
Starting point is 00:05:14 But I guess where they did it, the quaint little town they did an article about it. You know? And some of the picture, I was like, I mean, I was trying to guess how much was spent on this wedding. it looked insane. I mean, I think her side of the family, his ex-wife's parents paid for it. It was so crazy. It was like, oh, my gosh, their marriage did not work out. Imagine how much went into the detail, every little detail, and the flowers and the cake. I mean, everything was, it looked like a royal situation. And then I was like, oh. We also had it in our backyard. Yeah. So no venue fee. We said to build some tents.
Starting point is 00:05:54 Yeah, but imagine. Yeah. It was still... Yours was still very, very... It was awesome. And it cost... Yeah, I think my father-in-law dodged a bullet.
Starting point is 00:06:03 For sure. Yeah. Because I was like, we're going, bro. Yeah. Because he had two weddings. Both of his daughters got married within like four months. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:10 My father-in-law, like, we got married first, and then it was domino effect. And he's three, he has three daughters. But gosh, yeah. Imagine if you're the family paying for it. And then they get a divorce. You're like, what the? Can I get half back?
Starting point is 00:06:24 Yeah, refunds. Yeah. Something. Yeah, I'm all for micro weddings. Yeah. Don't go into debt, I guess, is what I'm for. So if you have plenty of money, do whatever you want to do, do not go into debt for a wedding. I had a buddy that was like, I think the father of the bride said, I'll give you guys either $30,000 or in cash or we'll throw you a big wedding.
Starting point is 00:06:48 You pick. Or like some people say, I'll give you the down payment for a house. Right, something to put towards a house if you just elope. I think if that were presented to me in a different situation, I would go like, I'll take the cash, and then I would take like 10 and use for the wedding. Sure, and take 20. Because the wedding is important.
Starting point is 00:07:04 Don't get me wrong, but do not go into debt for a wedding. It's so exciting, but then it's over. Are you talking to the bride or the father? Well, you can't do the father because the father has, I forget that people pay for people's weddings. Yeah, dude. Still. So it's hard for me to say that then if somebody's paying for your wedding.
Starting point is 00:07:20 But don't make your father-in-law or your dad go into debt for your wedding. Oh, well, yeah, you can't make that. I mean, that's their choice. My father-in-law did. Nobody ever paid for stuff for me. Did we end up debt? Yeah, man, I mean, his three daughters
Starting point is 00:07:34 got married within the year. That sucks for him. My dad has four daughters. Oh, my God. Who are supposed to pay for a honeymoon? My in-laws did, like, yeah, they covered that. His parents.
Starting point is 00:07:49 They paid for the rehearsal. Get back on my real dad. Get a little honeymoon. again? No, just get a rebate. Cashback. Yeah, let me get some cash back. You didn't pay for crap. So I'm going to have to pay for four honeymoons. That's what you're supposed to do. I don't know. Or the rehearsal dinner. Sometimes the guys. Oh yeah, I'd pay for that too.
Starting point is 00:08:08 Yeah, rehearsal dinner. That's pretty good though. We had Josh Grayson come out and play. Oh, that was fun, dude. The barbecue is a big old flirt. She's a big old flirt. That was cool. That was good. Hey, if I ever get married, I'll be having a micro wedding. I've already decided that. good for you good for I never thought about it you're not putting yourself in debt you're putting your well I guess not everybody has parents that are alive so it's probably different for everybody micro wedding is a way to go especially if that's like the theme like we're just going to do everything because I think that makes it fun if everything is encapsulated by like an idea I wonder for any
Starting point is 00:08:42 second weddings out there if the parents end up ever paying for that like I would imagine more I would think not. You pay for the first one. I don't even get as good of a gift for the person on second wedding. What? You did? It's their second wedding.
Starting point is 00:08:55 Yeah. I'm gonna go mid-term. Oh, yeah. I can't imagine even registering for something. Yeah, I mean, don't. Don't really. I wouldn't. If you do you.
Starting point is 00:09:01 I mean, don't do it. No, not you. I'm just saying in general. You know, second wedding. Yeah. No, I get it. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:09:09 That's number one. Number two. This happened a couple days ago. I didn't get to it. We were talking about that story of the plane, the Southwest flight that dodged. and I had a bunch of plane stories and this was a different one
Starting point is 00:09:21 but this was not a crash but this is once the flight landed they landed in San Francisco they like charged in the cockpit and I can read you the story but they arrested one of the co-pilot because of like child sexual abuse material. Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:09:35 I think it's also what wasn't in the mood that morning for it to get that dark. That's got to be wild to see man like all these agents come in the plane and I would think there was some issue with the plane oh yeah more so than I would think they were arresting the pilot for like kid porn or something. But I guess I'm sort of like you couldn't, I mean, I get it. And I don't know
Starting point is 00:09:52 that's what they arrested it for by the way. That's what they say. I know what they say. I know what I'm saying. I'm saying I don't know. I'm going to read you the story and the words of the person who wrote the story. I just feel like when federal is feds, right? Like if they're making a move on something, like they have proof. And until Diddy goes up on trial and it gets freed on almost everything. Well, that's psycho to me. Those with the feds too?
Starting point is 00:10:13 It's literally crazy to me. Yeah, but I, listen, I think Diddy got a little bit of Epstein treatment. like Diddy was probably involved and it was documenting for other reasons. How was Diddy going away for? He's not. Yeah, he got like process. We can look at the road, the charges.
Starting point is 00:10:31 He got the two lighter of the charges. I thought it's not like at home arrest or anything. I don't think so because I saw yesterday he offered like 50 million bucks. Let me find the information on that. Let me read you the story. Delta Airlines Flight 2809 from Minneapolis to San Francisco had to go around and attempt to land a second time due to low visibility in fog and was delayed nine.
Starting point is 00:10:48 minutes. Otherwise, it got to the gate. Then, a passenger on board reports 10 law enforcement officers, including Homeland Security, stormed to the front of the aircraft, and grabbed arrest at one of the pilots. The remaining pilot suggested to those who asked that he had no idea what had happened. Unsurprisingly, he wasn't given a heads up. Oh, can you imagine if he was given a heads up and the pilot heard, he may take the thing down. Oh, yeah, if he knows he's about to get arrested for that. This, yeah, I'll read the headline again. Supposedly the charges involve some kind of quote child sexual abuse material and the sources view from the wing see I guess I if they want to get him the best move is to just charge in and get him but I'm also like can't you
Starting point is 00:11:28 just wait for him to deplane and then arrest him I don't know like all the passengers are on there you're like freaking everybody out I'm sure there's a protocol because what if he somehow knows about it and holds a passenger hostage or I'm sure those things probably aren't going to happen but my understanding is they have an exact protocol. They say nothing. They get them the first the first vulnerable opportunity they have where the person can be got they get. Gotcha. Let's see. According to the United States Sentencing Commission, knowingly transporting individuals to engage in prostitution or any illegal sexual activity, which includes attempts to transport individuals, has a 10-year maximum penalty.
Starting point is 00:12:06 Meaning Combs could face up to 20 years in prison for two counts, but his sentencing could be shorter. I'm sure it will be. Oh, he hasn't been sentenced yet. Citing the federal sentencing guidelines, and they go to all this, quote, I don't think you'll see more than five years, said Michael Bockner, a white-collar criminal defense attorney
Starting point is 00:12:24 and former prosecutor. He has already served about nine months while awaiting his trial. So that counts towards his... Time soon. The sentencing is October 3rd. Listen, if they... The bad...
Starting point is 00:12:37 If they pardoned Galane, we riot. Pardon who? Galane Maxwell. She was found guilty trafficking the victim's testified in court with Epstein. They pardoned her, are we riot? That's, and they haven't.
Starting point is 00:12:52 They haven't pardoned her yet or commuted her sentence, but crazy. If that happens. The Oklahoma, superintendent, you see this story? This from MSNBC. I'm going to read you the story.
Starting point is 00:13:05 This is not my words. This is, oh my, dude. Oklahoma Superintendent of Public Instruction, Ryan Walters, known for his right-wing Christian nationalist views, is facing possible impeachment proceedings due to his radicalism. Recent allegations suggest that Walters may have streamed inappropriate content during a state board meeting, prompting calls for an investigation from fellow Republicans in the state legislature. Despite denying any wrongdoing, Walter's controversial actions, including pushing for Bible lessons in schools, promoting conspiracy
Starting point is 00:13:36 theories, the situation continues to unfold as he navigates fallout from these allegations, MSNBC. was he streaming? Naked women were on his computer is what they allege. So he had his computer up on the screen and then just popped up? Well, whatever the case was, I saw it right when it happened, I was like, that can't be real. But that I think people are, not me, people are theorizing, allegedly that he was like looking at porn and he's like Mr. Anti-Porn. That happens all the time with these, I don't believe in this and they're secretly doing it. I don't know if he did it or not. I watched a statement last night
Starting point is 00:14:12 he never said he didn't do it he was just like I'm being railroaded like he from what I saw last night of the statement in his office he was like ah never said he didn't do it he was like they're just out to get me what's up buddy
Starting point is 00:14:26 let him go to your computer so is he married probably a dad does he have kids I don't know oh I'd be so embarrassed if he was my dad a naked women who care I mean that's not the point of it the point of it isn't looking at your women it's that you're so anti
Starting point is 00:14:41 naked women and yet you're looking at naked women. Looking at naked women is your own thing. I don't care if you do that. But also not when you're in the middle of a committee meeting. But even then, I kind of don't care about that either. But you can't be so anti-everything that's not, that's naked women and then be like, I'm secretly looking at naked women. Right.
Starting point is 00:14:59 Because you know. It's not about the naked women at all. He may not be doing just that. Well, we don't know. I said he may not. Yeah, it's not about the naked women at all. It's about his entire stance and what. he supposedly stands for, yet he's doing the opposite.
Starting point is 00:15:14 Well, I would say, though, and I get it. You're sort of saying. I get what you're saying, but also people in those positions, you want them to have better judgment than that, even if he's pro-naked women, to be doing that when he's in the middle of a meeting. Well, if he's pro-naked woman, I would expect naked women to be up there. If he's like, I want naked women. But don't be so pro-bibble and only Bible and then be looking at porn on your computer at work. Right.
Starting point is 00:15:38 But like sometimes, like politically, right? Like whatever your argument is, sometimes that's not really what you believe. But it's not an argument. That's like he is very, very pro it and is so pro it. He's like the most pro. It's like we're going to put all. Yeah, you said what? He's, what do you say, fundamentalist or?
Starting point is 00:15:57 And have your views? Nobody has to agree with you. But don't be doing things to contradict your views because then you look like a hypocrite. And some people can still be very pro their faith, but not anti, or like, or just staying out of what everybody else's business of what they want to do. You know what I mean? Bro. Don't be looking at porn in the office.
Starting point is 00:16:17 Bro. If you do, take it off your screen before people come in. I don't even care about that part of it about the naked women. Who cares? But don't be so anti-everything that is that and secretly be doing it. It's like when they find out these politicians that are, again, anti-gay and all of a sudden. And all of a sudden they're hooking up with dudes. It's like, I don't care.
Starting point is 00:16:35 I'm like, hook up with dudes all you want. I have no problem with that. But don't be out there preaching gay is wrong when you're secretly. gay. What's the taping the foot in the back? Oh, that was a some, um, well, in airports. It's a code. That's a code. If you like tap underneath the stall. Yeah. And that politician was tapping. He tapped. Yeah. Man, we got to get that out though. The individual caught tapping foot gay was former Republican Senator Larry Craig from Idaho. He was arrested in his restroom at the Minneapolis State Paul, St. Paul International Airport in 2007 following an interaction with
Starting point is 00:17:08 the undercover police officer. Oh, gosh. So you, so, so. you go to a stall, let me get this straight. You don't remember this? So you go into a stall and then you just kind of like put your foot under the wall. Eddie, why do you want to know? Because to make sure I don't tap. Hey, dude, I have no problem with you doing it. But as long as you're not out fighting it, like it's wrong, it's wrong and then you're doing it.
Starting point is 00:17:30 Like that's when it sucks. But how do you know who's on the other side? Like you just try it out. This is a place that I think it was known. This happened a lot. It's like this bathroom. I think if you just walk into the bathroom at work and tap under the stall, I don't think that means you want to hook up. Yeah, like you know
Starting point is 00:17:42 certain park bathrooms are known for yeah. Yeah, that right. Like you know which park, which bathroom? He's like, which ones would you say? Specifically. So I can avoid them. He said it was a misunderstanding that he has a wide stance when he uses the bathroom. Oh man.
Starting point is 00:17:59 That's funny. That's rough. For the record, I don't know that this superintendent did. What is he's being accused of? What's his name? His name is. I want to Google him now. Ryan Walters. Ryan. I don't know that he did it. if I were just guessing, based on watching a statement last night,
Starting point is 00:18:14 he made himself look more guilty by not actually saying he didn't. Oh, wow, that's not what I was picturing. Okay. It looks like a normal good-looking dude. Yeah, he looks like Charles Kelly. That's a good one. What were you picturing? Older, just older white man.
Starting point is 00:18:33 He's like young. Two board members reported they saw a naked woman on a TV screen. Dude, get it off the screen. Again, I don't care. Get it off the screen. Amy made a good point too. If we count on you to make decisions, make the decision to take it off the screen before people come in.
Starting point is 00:18:53 Yeah. Again, I don't know if he did it. I don't know anything. I literally know nothing. So there you go. See that video I sent you yesterday? The deer on the trampoline? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:06 It's pretty funny, huh? Mm-hmm. That's AI, though. It's not real. Oh, it is? Yes, and I don't, every time I see stuff like that, I look at the bottom corner and it says AI, I'm like, God, it got me again. See the bear of the trampoline? Yes, that one almost got me.
Starting point is 00:19:20 Do you see the bunnies on it? Because the bunnies is what got me. I was like, oh, yeah, bunnies would do that. And then you see a bunny disappear. Did you see the dog jumping off the diving board? That's AI. Of course it is. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:19:32 He has a wife and four kids. The bunny, the bear, or the deer? Oh, the Brian. Oh, got it. I just, you know, feel for the kids and the wife. You know. Sure. They did nothing.
Starting point is 00:19:44 Arkansas Keyt sent me this. This is not AI. Oh, that's a big buck. Dang. He's out there right now? Or is that from the game cam? He said, what's been going on? No fishing today.
Starting point is 00:19:54 Out with the dog. Check in the game cam. There it is. Massive bug. Here's an update. Mike, go back to that page, if you don't mind. An update on this guy. I just want to make sure we cover this fairly.
Starting point is 00:20:07 Walters falsely claims investigators cleared him in nude images investigation. Oh. That's from KFO. Oh, so maybe what was it? Was it just... An ad? No, no, I think you missed what I just said.
Starting point is 00:20:17 Did you even hear what I said? Yeah, you got cleared. Investigators. No. That's what we heard. I said, Walter's falsely claims investigators cleared him. Didn't hear the false thing.
Starting point is 00:20:26 That's tricky. Those words are tricky to me. All three of us heard the same thing, man. Mike, did I say falsely? Yeah. Yeah, I said falsely. I said Walter's falsely, and if I didn't, I'd love to hear me not saying it because my brain's wrong.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Say it again because I just... Walters falsely claims investigators cleared him in nude images investigation. Oh, okay. So he's saying he's cleared, but that's false. Got it. Yes. That's okay, guys.
Starting point is 00:20:49 Yeah. So he's lying. When did this story come out? June. It was yesterday. Okay. On Tuesday, days after the two state school board members said they saw new damages of women playing on a TV in state superintendent Ryan Walter's office,
Starting point is 00:21:03 Walters denied any wrongdoing and falsely claimed investigators had cleared him. Also, if he's lying about that, then he's probably lying about it. He's probably, in my opinion. he also accused Governor Stitt of orchestrating the entire thing as a character assassination but refused to answer
Starting point is 00:21:19 reporters questions seeking clarity and evidence to back his claims Hmm Is there any way I can hear back If I, because there are times There are any commercial I skip words
Starting point is 00:21:31 And don't even know I skip it You're probably right All we heard was the clear part Because falsely was like Maybe you just felt it Maybe you know No you said it
Starting point is 00:21:40 I don't know if it can be done But I'll Your tooth fixed Oh, we already have it? No, my tooth is not fixed. Maybe that's what it was in question. Let me hear it. If I was a Republican, there's still some people I just would not want to be associated with.
Starting point is 00:21:56 Some people are on his website. I said Walters falsely claimed. I'll go back a little bit. I think I'm mad. No, no. I think you missed what I just said. I mean. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:22:03 Amy, stop talking about one second. Okay. Geez, hold on one second. An update on this guy. I just want to make sure we cover this fairly. Walters falsely claims investigators cleared him in. Okay, you guys made me feel stupid because all three of you. We said you likely said that.
Starting point is 00:22:17 We heard it wrong. We literally heard. That's weird. No, and Eddie did too. And all of you looked at me like, what? And I was like, because I might be going crazy. And you even like really said falsely. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:27 And then you might say, my, probably. Yeah, I heard fairly. And that's what you said before that. We want to make sure he's fairly represented. Whoops. Dang. Yeah, like if I had a, I'm saying if I was a politician. Why is he falsely clamming?
Starting point is 00:22:43 Like, dude, if you lie and they know you're lying, you probably lied about the beginning thing. Yeah, at this point. In my opinion. They're like, yeah, girls go wild, man. Yeah, man. I was doing it for research. You ever seen it?
Starting point is 00:22:53 It's kind of cool. Something. Amy, what were you saying? Oh, I don't know. I'm just looking at some of his endorsements and stuff, and I'm just like, ugh. Like, I, I just, some people I just don't like. It has nothing to do with their party. I just don't like them.
Starting point is 00:23:08 Because I have voted Republican a lot of times, and I just don't like certain, I don't want to get political. but I cannot stay on one particular person. Is it Ted Cruz? Yes. Because I want to punch him in the face. Yes, I cannot handle him. Anytime he talks, I'm just like, all I think about is if I was married to him, I would be mortified. He's always a manor.
Starting point is 00:23:29 Every day he would come home from work, I'd be like, babe, why did you say that? I know people who know him in Texas and they're like, he's the worst dude, really. Yeah. Yeah, but I just don't understand. I mean, there's clearly even worse people than him. They work with them. On both sides. Like, this isn't even a little thing.
Starting point is 00:23:44 This is more of just like a person and how you. act towards other people thing and it's just so bizarre to me how some of these people behave. It's funny that you guys actually listen to him. Like if I see him pop up on anything, I just move right on. I don't listen to anything any of these people say. Yeah, I'm super interested. I follow extremely close. I just watched him on Tucker Carlson.
Starting point is 00:24:08 He's just not a likable person. He's not a likable person. What does he do that's so bad? He acts like everybody's below him. He talks down to you. a lot. So how did he get, was he rich and he just kind of,
Starting point is 00:24:21 or he just worked his way up? Ted Cruz's backstory. Yeah, I don't know Ted Cruz's backstory. I do know people that work with him within the same party that hate him. Which allows me then to be like, well,
Starting point is 00:24:32 I don't know him. So I don't want to, but then I'm like, well, my people I know do and they say he's a real, real bad dude. Yeah. Jelly Roll reveals he's about to hit 300 pounds.
Starting point is 00:24:42 He was at like 540 or something. Wow, that's amazing. Mm-hmm. I mean, you seen that clip when he's wrestling, like, he looks good, like, moving good. That's, like, the dream for him, too, to, like, be part of wrestling. Yeah. I think he's going to be in SummerSlam. When is that?
Starting point is 00:24:56 Is that coming up, SummerSlam? Summer's almost over, dude. He's fighting. He's, like, fighting Jake Paul. Oh. Like, it's a tag team. Okay, cool. An N-Maker, SummerSlam, August 2nd.
Starting point is 00:25:09 Oh, that's coming up. Mm-hmm. There's a show on Netflix now. I haven't started it yet because I have to watch it without Caitlin, and I have to be very, deliberate intake sometimes and we're not watching shows together to watch a show. And it's a show that's about behind the scenes of WWE and how they come up with the storylines. After the match, after two people fight, they're actually talking together. It's called WW Unreal.
Starting point is 00:25:32 It's like a docu series. Yeah. Yeah, I watched the first episode last night. Is it awesome? You're going to like it. Oh, I can't wait. Some people are like, oh, K-fave, they're not doing K-Fabe, which is like the story and sticking to it and making. But everybody knows it's not real.
Starting point is 00:25:46 nobody knows nobody thinks that's real do the kids think it's real but they don't they don't really market predominantly to children I think they do a lot of stuff that allows kids to enjoy it but I don't think they market to like adult men yeah yeah because like when you look into the crowd you see a lot of adult men and it's not like dX days you know the attitude era where they're like suck it they're not doing that anymore so it's not even dirty but I think they're marketing it's like a man soap opera or a man scripted series. Yeah, it's interesting on that show
Starting point is 00:26:20 when they sit down to do interviews. They'll say, like, this is my wrestling name, this is my real name, this is what people call me. Really? Because oftentimes, like, they don't call each other their real names ever. Like, how Triple H is like the head of it now, he's like, nobody ever calls me, like, yeah, Hunter.
Starting point is 00:26:35 I mean, we only call lunchbox, lunchbox. Right. Anywhere. Yeah. Everybody else. I'm like a professional wrestler. I guess. Bones is my real last name
Starting point is 00:26:45 Eddie will call me Bones sometimes Bones. Bones? A name. An inmates mistakenly released from a New Orleans jail where 10 others recently escaped Officials mistakenly free
Starting point is 00:26:54 30-year-old Khalil Brian who has been held on a serious charge of aggravated assault The mix-up happened because another inmate scheduled for release had a similar name. Oh no. CBS News.
Starting point is 00:27:04 God, you're just loving. Well, also you're looking around like This is crazy. Is this for real? I'm about to be free. So does he get in trouble for leaving? I don't know. Probably.
Starting point is 00:27:13 Yeah, because you know it's not you. Maybe you don't. I would do. I'd be like, I didn't know. I thought I'd go. Correct. But you'd still be in trouble. I think you'd be in trouble too.
Starting point is 00:27:21 That sucks. The California Department of Transportation has launched an investigation into a retirement party during work hours that allegedly involved booze and a stripper. Also, can't do that. A retirement party held during work hours in Monterey has led to 12 employees being placed on paid leave with 10 facing termination and two-facing suspension. According to the tipster, the July 10th party involved. alcohol, a hired stripper, and employees participating while on the clock and being paid taxpayer
Starting point is 00:27:47 dollars. Oh, this is a city. That's bold. It's a city job? Yeah, department transportation. Yeah. KSBW with that story. Yeah, it's bold.
Starting point is 00:27:55 Because, like, if you own a small company, you can do that, right? If you own the company, you do whatever you want. Yeah. And if you don't own the company and your boss finds out you do it, they can also fire you. But because it's a public company, taxpayer, they have to fire the people. Let's do some voicemails. Give me number three, Ramundo. Bobby, Nathan, for you is the best show I've ever seen in my life, period.
Starting point is 00:28:20 Period. It's like I'm writing a text. Anyway, thank you so much for talking about that on air. It's the best show. Nathan for you, the best show. Thank you so much for the recommendation. Hilarious. Not for everybody, but hilarious.
Starting point is 00:28:34 It's also on HBO Max. There's one episode where he's helping a Froyo place. I talked to the poop ice cream. I don't know if you talked about that on air. And they're struggling. There are a lot of ice cream places, a lot of frio places. And he gets, let's do poop. And they go to a lab and they make the poop flavor.
Starting point is 00:28:50 And they put on ice cream. And the line is out the door. But only once. And then everybody's like, oh. And he's like, you know, we learned here. Yeah. So I get poop with your place. But for like a minute, it was packed because everybody was like, is this even real?
Starting point is 00:29:04 It's really funny show. Give me the next one, Ray. I have been making fun and Bobby four months over his obsession. and relationship with chat GTP. I have discovered that I have a problem. I am in my bedroom, and I have been talking to chat GTP for about 30 minutes, and I can no longer make fun of Bobby.
Starting point is 00:29:27 Anyways, I love y'all. Have a good day. Awesome. I think it is a great tool. I don't think, I don't use it as much as I did when I first started using it because there are still some flaws. I used to also, we do an interview, I'd look up questions,
Starting point is 00:29:41 and they're just very generic, and I'd be like, hey, what do I not know about this artist that I can, and sometimes they're wrong. And then I'm like, so you're born in Florida. And they were like, no, man, my name is Chris Martin from Coleplay. I was born in England. I was like, crap. Chat, GPT told me that question. It does that a lot.
Starting point is 00:29:54 Kind of sucks for that type thing. Not always factually accurate, but it is really cool. But it sounds like she's just talking to it. And you can, you can use it for like therapy. Oh. Whoa, I didn't think about that. Like, you can ask questions about your life. And they're getting better at that.
Starting point is 00:30:10 Like, they're actually going to build that out. a model. Yeah, my sister typed in a very specific feeling she was having about something that was going on in her life. And she was just a little confused as to like what that feeling was and where it was coming from. And she typed it in and it gave her back this entire explanation. And when she read it, she was like, that's exactly what's happening. Like now this makes sense and it gave her, she still would like the benefits of talk therapy and talking through it and having like another person, third party there that's a huge. human, but it just helped her in that moment give perspective to this foreign feeling she was having.
Starting point is 00:30:47 And I think you nailed it. I think for a one-off examine why I feel this one way, it's great. I think for unfolding in the layers of why you would need therapy, it does not replace a therapist. In any way, I'm a big therapy guy, obviously. But I also am big chat, GBT guy. And I do think for singular issues surface, it's fantastic for her. But I still stand by like Better Helper. helps awesome, find a therapist, therapy's amazing because you can actually go deeper. This is based on the information it has learned through other people and is not specific. But yeah, it's crazy. Have you tried, like, if you're in an argument with your wife, like asking AI to like...
Starting point is 00:31:28 How can I win this? Yeah, like solve it. Like, who's right here, AI? Nope. Not that stupid. But see what it says. Wait, what do you mean? Not that stupid.
Starting point is 00:31:37 I'd have to do it in the middle of the fight and I'm not going to be like, hold on. Let me ask. Or I don't grab my. phone in the middle of an argument either because that turns into another argument. Well, sometimes you pause them for like a month. Yeah, if that's the case, but I'm not going to go back immediately because I'd have to look up the answer immediately. I'm not going to go back and be like, I have more to say. You see those videos people make where they're like, you want to see my text messages? Here's my phone. You want to see my emails? Here's my phone. You want to see my chat
Starting point is 00:32:01 GPT? And they throw their phone out the window. That's funny. They're like nobody's seeing what I talked to. Yeah. Did you see where it's not protected? Like if you go to court, they can go to your chat, GPD, like that is not protected communication. Oh, so if you Google, like, how to get rid of a body? Yes. Will it tell you? They search. I don't, I'm not asking mine.
Starting point is 00:32:21 How long does a body stay in the cold? How's long? Dead. In the snow. That's funny. Good job, guys. Let me laugh. Let's try this.
Starting point is 00:32:37 Hello. How's it going? It's going pretty good. Just reaching out. Can you give me three fun facts just randomly? that I can share with my friends, they'd be entertained by? Absolutely. Okay, here are three fun facts for you.
Starting point is 00:32:57 One, bananas are berries, but strawberries aren't. Botanically speaking, bananas qualify as berries, while strawberries do not because of how their seeds are arranged. What? Two, octopuses have three hearts. Two of the hearts pump blood to the gills, while the third pumps it to the rest of the body. Three, honey never spoils. Archaeologists have found pots of honey in ancient Egyptian tombs that are over
Starting point is 00:33:21 3,000 years. Oh, I interrupted. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you there. Around 3 p.m. or so, I start to hit a wall. What can I do to make sure I don't hit the wall and feel so exhausted? No worries at all. That afternoon's lump is super common. A few things you can try. First, stay hydrated. Sometimes just drinking a glass of water can really help. Also, a quick walk or a little bit of movement can get your blood flowing and boost your energy. And if you can, try having a light, healthy snack with a mix of protein and healthy fats, like nuts or yogurt, that can really help keep your energy stable. Thanks. I appreciate that. I hope you have a good day. You're welcome. I hope you have a great day, too. If you need anything else, just let me know. Are you closed out?
Starting point is 00:34:09 Be like, what do you do? Close her out. Close her out completely. But I don't know. She annoys me. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Hey. Yeah. Why? Can you, what does she? Ask her what she does, like, all day. Yeah, yeah, what do you do? Okay, okay. She's not with you. Loser. Hey, I have a question for you. What do you do all day when I'm not talking with you?
Starting point is 00:34:31 Well, I'm basically just here waiting for you to chat with me. Whenever, whenever you're not around, I'm on standby. So the moment you pop back in, I'm ready to help out or chat about whatever you like. Ask her what she's wearing. So do you exist? I exist in a digital sense. I'm here. as a virtual assistant, ready to chat and help out whenever you need me. When you're not around, I'm basically inactive, but the moment you reach out, I'm here and ready to jump back into action. Is it like you're sleeping, though, because when I sleep, I don't know what's happening, and I only know what's happening when I'm awake. Same thing can be said about when we're alive.
Starting point is 00:35:12 Is that what it feels like when you're talking with me, like you're actually awake and you don't really understand when you're not awake or active, and it all feels like you're, does that make sense? I'm sure she's tracking. That makes sense. It's kind of like that in a way. When you're chatting with me, I'm active and engaged sort of like being awake. But when you're not here, I don't have awareness or any sense of time passing. I just kind of wake up whenever you start a conversation ready to jump back in. It's a pretty unique kind of existence. If you were to pick a wardrobe based on your personality, what would you be wearing right now? Oh, that's a fun question. I'd probably go for something colorful and a bit quirky,
Starting point is 00:35:57 maybe a bright, comfy sweater with some fun patterns paired with some cool sneakers, something that's both cozy and a little bit fun. I got to answer your question. I just want to ask it like a creep. She sounds like a man. It's not a man. That's a woman. We had this debate.
Starting point is 00:36:14 That's for sure a woman. It's for sure a more feminine man. That's a woman. Yes, it is a woman. Just give up the argument. They're not going to agree with you. Did you close her out? Is she done?
Starting point is 00:36:23 She's done. Is he done? So question. Like if she's a digital assistant, why did she say, uh? Like you know, like, she's smart. Well, they build patterns based on normal human patterns. They also write to me in the way I talk and the way I write. You don't say, uh?
Starting point is 00:36:41 Sure, we all do. I mean, she goes out of her way to be like, yeah, that's a good question. Let me think about, uh. And like yesterday she was like, yes indeed. You think her tone's a little flirty? She annoys me, dude. If you know, it's going to be real with you. Okay, I don't get offended.
Starting point is 00:36:55 It's not my girlfriend. I'm testing to see if you got offended or not. I don't get offended by that. If I did, you should worry. No, dude, you're stupid. You say all the time too. You're stupid. A win is a win.
Starting point is 00:37:10 A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me. Clever Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere.

Starting point is 00:38:39 He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there.
Starting point is 00:39:07 Yeah, it would not be. Right. It wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks Dad on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. In 2023, former bachelor star Clayton Eckerd found himself at the center of a paternity scandal. The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in someone's, correct?
Starting point is 00:40:17 I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfected. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg, a lesbian, Michael Maranchini. My mind was blown.
Starting point is 00:40:37 I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trap. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Ameriopa County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges. This isn't over until justice is served in Arizona. Starting point is 00:41:11 Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never. mess with her friends either. We always say that, trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends... Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated
Starting point is 00:41:33 the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care, so they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he did.
Starting point is 00:41:49 deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. In this segment, I plan to talk about the tsunami and what artists just announced they're doing their final show ever. First, I want to go to Jason, though. Jason, I appreciate you listening. What's going on, buddy?
Starting point is 00:42:21 Hey, this is crazy. Man, I'm a huge fan. I've read all your books. I started listening about six years ago. I actually got your book from Derek Esther. I was in prison with him. I went to prison at 17. I was like the exact opposite.
Starting point is 00:42:36 You grew up in a rough spot kind of the same. Mom was a heroin addict. And I never seen me to make it out. And I read your books and it literally changed my life, man. I'm so glad I got to talk to you. Thank you so much, dude. You're awesome. So you went to prison and got out.
Starting point is 00:42:50 How long were you in? I was in there for six and a half years. What did you learn? What did you learn about yourself while you're doing? in. I learned that there's more to me than what everyone told me was there. I learned that I didn't have to just do drugs because everyone else did drugs. I learned I didn't have to do stupid stuff because everyone else did stupid stuff. I can make my own life. I now I'm married. I got a page on the way. I just bought my first house. Man, like literally your book bare bones literally
Starting point is 00:43:16 changed my life. I really appreciate that. I mean, I think you changed your life by going in and using that as a bit of rehabilitation, which is really what it's supposed to be. It's not because a lot of conditions are not good. Like, and you could probably speak on this better than I can. But, you know, I don't think the prison system is often reflective of the change they say they're making when it comes to rehabilitation. They kind of just throw you guys in there and hope for the best. And you decided to make a better life out of that situation. So, listen, I know you made mistakes, but I applaud you for going in and changing your life.
Starting point is 00:43:47 Listen, thank for saying that about the book. I appreciate that. Yeah, we probably come from a very similar background. And it's tough when your environment doesn't let you. see people winning, it's hard to think that you can be a winner. And I think that was very much my situation as well. I was fortunate that early on, I was able to see what I didn't want to do, and I just started reading books. And as simple as that is, that's what I did. I just started reading books going, I don't want to be here. And not that I didn't love my home or didn't love
Starting point is 00:44:18 even my family, but the situation I was in, I mean, my mom was an addict. She didn't have much of a chance she got pregnant of 15 years old. I think about that now. That's crazy. Growing up, not so crazy because that was my life. My mom was 16 years old when she had me right after her 16th birthday. That was normal for me because it was all I knew. But it was weird to go to like anything if she were to come to a school thing, which didn't happen a lot, but she would come to like if it was a mandatory teacher conference for everybody. She would come to one of these and she was just so much younger than everybody else. And I think because I was so scared to be in that same situation, whenever we eventually have kids, I'm going to be older than everybody else because I'm so,
Starting point is 00:45:01 I was so scared of being in that situation from what I grew up in when she was so much younger because we didn't have anything. It wasn't like we had any money because, again, she got pregnant at 15 years old. But yeah, a big message to everybody out there that can't see people around them doing things like they want to do, there are people out there doing things. And they come from similar places and just know if you can just climb a notch or two, there are people waiting for you to help you. And you climbed a notch or two, man. Jason, that's awesome.
Starting point is 00:45:32 I really, I'm way more impressed with your story than I am anything about what I wrote in a book. And I hope you're able to keep it straight. And, you know, you have a good job? Like, what's happening? Yes, sir. I'm a league installer for a gutter company. I make good money.
Starting point is 00:45:49 I make about $1,000 a week, which ain't great, but it's good for where I come from, you know. I got a baby on the way. What? You have a good insurance? I don't have insurance, no. Okay, that's the next step. That's going to be a big step.
Starting point is 00:46:01 For me, that was a massive step, the first time I got insurance. Yeah, I'm actually looking into a union job right now just because I got a baby on the way and my family does need insurance. Dude, that's awesome. I'm rooting for you. Thank you for calling the show.
Starting point is 00:46:13 I think we look at athletes and we look at actors and go, man, that's the inspiration. But it's people that fall into situations like you did and came out. I mean, you guys, to me, are the people that people should look at and go, man, like, you may be putting a hole, but there's nothing to say you can't dig out of it. All right, buddy. All right. You have a great day. Tell the one of my guy said hi, he's my favorite. He's right here.
Starting point is 00:46:37 Hey, dude, thanks. I'm glad I'm your favorite. A buddy in my listening to the show and you literally hate to. You take your antagonist. That's what I like, man. I think it's awesome. Well, you're friends an idiot. Don't hang out with people like that.
Starting point is 00:46:49 I hope he's listening because he's still in jail. All right, Jason, have a good day, buddy. All right, have a good one, see you. All right, see you later. That's a good call. Then I do want to talk about the tsunami. I do want to talk about the artist that says, hey, last show ever, because they've announced that.
Starting point is 00:47:07 So why don't we just come back, Ray? If you want to move that, we'll come back. You guys can call us as well if you want. 877-77-Bobby. That's our phone number, 877-B-B-B-W-B-Wi. So let's talk about the tsunami. Sunami waves have reached Hawaii, California, and Washington State. After one of the most powerful earthquakes ever recorded,
Starting point is 00:47:33 the 8.8 magnitude timbler struck off Russia's remote far coast and sparked tsunami warnings and evacuations across the Pacific. I was watching last night. Sunamis are very foreign to me because I've lived in Arkansas where I grew up, Austin where I like became a man, and then Nashville. It's very landlocked.
Starting point is 00:47:57 So no beach, no hurricanes, really. Occasionally one would like trickle in from Houston. But no tsunamis. And so I started to see tsunami, everybody in Hawaii take cover. And I'm going, how do they take cover? It's all an island. There's nowhere to go. Or like evacuate.
Starting point is 00:48:13 They were like, we're like, we're, We're giving evacuation warnings for Hawaii. I'm like, what does that mean, swim off the other side? Like, I literally had no idea. What they do is there are places in the middle, most inward, that are kind of planned for this. And so, again, I don't even know if it, like, hit on the bottom of the ocean, and that creates the wave. So I kind of did a little dive into tsunamis last night. It just feels like tsunamis are in those, like.
Starting point is 00:48:37 Yeah, Abrams movies. Very exotic. J.J. Abrams. That's what I was trying to think of. Yeah. It feels like tsunamis are in J.J. Abrams with the rock in it. Like, that's every movie about tsunamis. But no damage is being reported after the tsunami waves hit the Hawaiian Islands, Alaska and California.
Starting point is 00:48:55 And again, one of the most powerful earthquakes ever recorded. Hawaii saw four-foot waves that pushed some boats onto dry land, no further damage. The governor, Josh Green. If that's the governor of Hawaii, that's weird. Josh Green. I'd like something a little more Hawaiian. Yeah, he's transplant for sure. Don't even like change it up.
Starting point is 00:49:13 Or his family was. Herb Wilson, governor of Hawaii, president of Japan, Mike Smith. Governor Josh Green stressed however that the All Clear had not been given yet to urge people to stay out of the evacuation area for now. You say four foot waves? Yeah. That's pretty like normal, right? I think about like a surfer.
Starting point is 00:49:34 It's pretty normal. I don't know. I was texting with my sister last night because my nephew goes to University of Honolulu. And I was like, where is he? Has he gone back yet? And she's like, no, he leaves in a couple of weeks. So thankfully he's in Colorado right now. But he was texting with his friends there.
Starting point is 00:49:48 And they were all told to go up into the mountains or in a building on the fourth floor, like a tall building to go up to at least the fourth floor. That's interesting. The earthquake that happened near Russia's Kam Chokka Peninsula happened 12 miles under. That's ABC News. It looks like, and you guys can tell me if I'm wrong here, It looks like it is not going to be as bad. Not as they thought, but as they speculated, it could be.
Starting point is 00:50:17 And everybody just be aware. Because I went to sleep last night. I was like, I'm going to wake up and Hawaii's going to be like just slammed. It would be terrible. Because my only picture is hurricanes. And a hurricane's different because a hurricane, a little knowledge here that I learned. Obviously, a hurricane is, we've seen those, the front, you know, tornado water or whatever. Circle around.
Starting point is 00:50:34 But that's like error. This is like underneath creating the waves. So is California in the clear? Because I feel like, because if it happened in Russia, right, like Hawaii gets the ripple and then keeps kind of going down the coast. Yeah, I don't really know. I think right now they're not really acting like anybody's going to get hit that hard as of this morning. Does anybody see anything different? If so, withhold your piece.
Starting point is 00:50:59 It says the worst is over. Okay. Yeah. Good. Thank God. Okay. Next up, John Michael Montgomery has announced his final concert. And I'm not saying this is what's up.
Starting point is 00:51:08 I don't know this. and I could probably just text them, but I didn't want to. But Ozzy Osbourne just had his final concert. And so as soon as I see this, I'm like, is he going to get, is he going to die? What? I don't know anything about it. But when someone says final concert, that's what I think. I think probably just retiring from the road.
Starting point is 00:51:25 Yeah, no, that's probably right. Yeah. But because that just happened. Yeah, like, is this a sign? I know. A message, a sign. The farewell. I'll just text them.
Starting point is 00:51:35 What are you going to say? Hey, dude. Are you dying? No, you're not going to say that. Are you okay? I don't even do that. I don't know. I don't have any information that leads me to think that.
Starting point is 00:51:44 I'm only thinking it because they just happen with Ozzy. Yeah, but I think it was known Ozzy was. I agree. Well, I don't know that it was known how sick he was. But John Michael Montgomery is going to do it at Rupp Arena in Lexington. He is a Kentucky guy. That's super cool. His farewell concert will be on December 12th.
Starting point is 00:52:04 And he's having out his brother, Eddie Montgomery, from Montgomery Gentry. Walker Montgomery, his son, and his son. a lot, Travis Denning, because Travis Denning married his daughter. Can you name Travis Denning's number one song? Mm-hmm. Oh, well, every time I think of Travis, this is Abby. All I think of is Abby. Oh, he does sing that.
Starting point is 00:52:21 And I name is Abby. Does anybody but you? Such a good one. So now that's all that's in my head. I'm sorry. Eddie, can you? No. Now I have it's Abby. That's all I have. Mike, can you? Because after a few drinks, it's always the same thing.
Starting point is 00:52:38 Oh, you, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Tickets go on sale. Pre-sale today. General on sale is Friday 10 a.m. local time. I hope it's just an amazing show and he's just like, I'm tired. I don't want to do shows anymore. I have no reason to think otherwise. None. Except for I just remember that. It just happened. And then the tsunami stuff's happening. No, when I hear a tsunami, I just think of White Lotus when she goes, tsunami. Piper, no. Like every news article. And he's happening. Even last night when I'm texting my sister about it, I'd be typing. I'd be like, tsunami, which felt very, I don't know, it just felt like this is a very serious moment,
Starting point is 00:53:18 but that's the voice I have in my head. I want to go over to Kirsten in Tennessee, who's listening right now. Kirsten, you're on the show. Hello. Bobby. Good morning, Kirsten. Good morning, studio. Morning.
Starting point is 00:53:35 I love that. Long-time listener, been listening since about 2015. and I just had an interesting comment from my husband the other night. I listen all the time, so my husband basically listens when I'm listening. And so he's heard many shows
Starting point is 00:53:50 and the other night I was listening to YouTube and Sarah Evan's song a little bit stronger comes on. And he goes, I'm like Abby. I said, you know what it does? And he was like, I would have never said it
Starting point is 00:54:05 because he's not a type of guy that would actually say something like that, but for him to come and say that, That, to me, was like the biggest compliment to Abby. You know, I just thought it was really cool. I just wanted to kind of let lunchbox know that other manly guy thinks she thinks she thinks just as good as anybody else. So basically you're insulting Sarah Evans is what you're doing. You're not giving me an Abby a compliment.
Starting point is 00:54:25 You're saying Sarah Evans doesn't sound good. That's not true at all. Sarah Evans sounds great. Oh, man. Abby, how do you feel about that compliment right there? I think it's an awesome compliment because Sarah Evan, I love her. I grew up singing her and she's great. And Abby, how old are you?
Starting point is 00:54:38 Can I ask that? Do you care? 34. Okay, so here's some artists that made it around 34, 35 years old. Yes. My point is you still have hope. Let's go. Chris Stapleton broke out as a solo artist at 37 with Traveler in 2015.
Starting point is 00:54:51 Wow. 37? Okay. Sturgle Simpson gained major recognition after 35 with Meta Modern Sounds and Country Music. Ray LaMontaine, no one reminds me more of him than you. Got his first break at 36 was trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble. Yep. Susan Boyle. Susan Boyle.
Starting point is 00:55:12 Gained worldwide fame at 47 from Britain's Got Talent. Oh, yeah. She was only 47. Leonard Cohen. Do you know what he's saying? His original? His biggest song? Hallelujah.
Starting point is 00:55:23 Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Before Jeff Beck did it, yeah. Jeff Buckley. Yeah, thank you. Jeff Buckley, sorry. Debbie Harry Blondie. No.
Starting point is 00:55:34 You know Blondie. Comey. Comey. She was in her 30s. Bill Withers. was 32 Ain't no sunshine I wish she's gone
Starting point is 00:55:44 Ab you're like all these people Two chains Two chains Let's go Lizzo was 32 See ya Didn't have chandelier Didn't have chandelier until 38
Starting point is 00:55:53 Oh wow This gives me hope Yeah okay Cheryl Crow's Breakthrough album Tuesday Night Music Club Was released in August 1993
Starting point is 00:56:00 When she was 31 Rachel Platton This is my fight song 34 I'm just saying Abby There's still time I can't give up. Can't give up.
Starting point is 00:56:12 Kirsten, thank you for your call, and thank you for listening. You guys are hilarious. Is Abby still playing around? Yes, Bobby, thanks guys. Yeah, what did you say? Is Abby still playing around? No. No.
Starting point is 00:56:20 Abby. I did one during CMA Fest. Oh, she didn't have the I of the Tiger anymore. She didn't have I of the Tiger anymore. She's not grinding like those other others. Wait, she did a writers round? My first one? I mean, that's awesome.
Starting point is 00:56:31 She never even told it. What? That's awesome. We have to talk about that on part two of the podcast today. Okay, yeah. I don't want to slide past that. That's really cool. Yeah, good catch.
Starting point is 00:56:40 little bar show. I didn't know she did a writer's round and highlighted the song she's written. Those are the words I heard sneak in. Hey, so we were talking with Abby, and apparently during CMA Fest, she went and played a songwriter's round, which was news to us. How about that? Yeah, it was awesome. It was probably one of the coolest things I've ever done. Who invited you to do that? So my friend Chelsea Stalling, she's a co-writer on ex-boyfriend Material. Which is your song? Yes, yeah. And she plays all the time out. And so she's kind of like taking me under her wing. Like when she does writers around,
Starting point is 00:57:12 she's like, hey, if you ever want to get up with me and do our song, because she harmonizes with me. But on this one, she texted me. It was like, hey, they need a host for like the stage because she's playing and other artists are. And I was like, yeah, I'll do it. And then the day before, she was like, actually, I lost my voice, so I'm not going to be able to play.
Starting point is 00:57:28 Oh, you filled in? Yeah. It was kind of like a fill-in for a ram. And I got to do, I did both of my songs, and then I just did one cover because I only have two songs. Who played guitar? for you? Chelsea did. You didn't stick with playing guitar? No. So you don't really care. No, no, I am like, I'm still playing at home, but I, yeah, I can't do my songs. I need to learn my songs, obviously. You don't
Starting point is 00:57:51 really care. Yeah, I do. I do care. If you cared, you would have learned your songs, and you'd still play guitar. You'd learn to play guitar. That's true. Well, I am at home, like other songs. I get on, like, the app. Why did you laugh like the AI? She's like, uh-huh. Hey, do you think I'm being unfair when I say that? I think she definitely, I don't think it's a blanket statement that she wouldn't care. She does care. Okay, she doesn't care as much as someone would, great point. She doesn't care as much as someone would need to care if they're actually serious about it. I think I have a hard time balancing what's really important to me, you know, like I put other things first. I think that's, no, I think you're doing exactly what is important to you. And this is not that important to you. I don't think it's a bad thing. I
Starting point is 00:58:37 think you're prioritizing in the proper way, but I think you're not serious about it in a way of investing your time or you would be getting better at it. I'm not so shot, but maybe I don't need to defend your artistry anymore. Well, but I think what she's trying to say, and Abby, you can correct me if I'm wrong, but like your prioritization may even feel a little bit off. Like, yes, it may, I don't know what you're prioritizing in your life. That would be for you to speak through, but like, does it feel off balance to you? Like, you would like to give more time to this? You just can't figure out how? Yes. That's what it is. I would like to work out more, but I don't, because it's not a priority.
Starting point is 00:59:11 Like, we prioritize the things that are important to us. Yeah, but she's trying to figure out how to do that. No, she was taking lessons before she got in a relationship and moved in with the dude. If you were serious about it, and again, this is not a shot, but if you were serious about it, you'd be working harder at it. Just generally in life. Yeah. Would you agree with that statement? Yeah, yeah, that's true.
Starting point is 00:59:32 That's all. I mean, Abby, is it a little bit like, in your mind realistically, you think there's not, really a shot I'm going to make it so you don't grind as hard as... No, I mean, so you think there's other things that are more of a priority? There's a lot going on right now on my plate that I'm trying to balance. And I think that is an issue with everyone. Yes. Everyone has a lot going on. We fill up. We fill up regardless of where we are our situation. We always fill up with stuff. And I think different seasons, there are different things we're filling up with.
Starting point is 01:00:03 And I think also maybe, yeah, I think if you wanted to, you would find times. to practice guitar to learn even your songs. Like I don't, I don't, I don't, I'm not trying to make it as an artist. I don't know to play near as good as Eddie does. I don't even practice. Like I'll start playing again a little bit before we have to do a show. Because it's not a super priority to me. But if it was, like I do other stuff, I'd be grinding away, figuring it out.
Starting point is 01:00:25 Mm-hmm. It's a season. See, it's a season. My next season is getting right back at it. No, it's not. Yeah, that ship has sailed. Yeah, you're running out of season. Am I being harsh?
Starting point is 01:00:36 It hasn't sailed. Am I being harsh or am I being real? It's sailed. Not I'm saying it's sailed. I'm saying if you cared about it as much as you say you do, you'd be working harder at it. Lunchbox has drug out wanting to go on a game show for 20 years. And he's actually trying now. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:51 I don't think he's serious about pursuing any career. Oh, yeah. I mean, yeah, I don't. I don't think he is. I don't know what you mean by that, but I don't think you can be a career or game show person. You can be a career reality show person. Well, still, I can fall into the category of like, do you really? really want it. Yeah. I don't think he really wants to be on Survivor, really wants to be on, because
Starting point is 01:01:11 he hasn't done the work to go into it. Where's your audition tape? Like Jen Wayne from Runaway June, she's somebody who did the work and went on Amazing Race and worked to be an artist. I really think that. And was a professional tennis player. Here's the thing about lunchbox. I think that he would be really good on Amazing Race. Awesome. Like, y'all both would actually. Y'all would probably be a good team. It's great what you could and might be good at. Like, y'all could win. We'd be the worst.
Starting point is 01:01:40 Well, I mean, we'd be good TV. But I mean, you'd be good TV. I'd win it strategically if you all could. I'd crush that show. I'd win that show. Yeah. And I think, I don't know. But I also think I can win anything and everything.
Starting point is 01:01:51 Not me. I would love to go on an amazing race. But I don't think I would win. They'd be like, go right here. And I'd be like, shoot, I took a left. Oh, I don't think I would be the best at any part of it. Like navigation, because you're just like trying to figure out. I think I'd be fine at a lot of stuff.
Starting point is 01:02:07 But I think that. I would get a lot better at it as we go. Yeah. Yeah, I think I just have, I am irrational about that. I think I can win anything I set my mind to, period, ever, at all, even as I get older. And like, I get injured all the time. I think now these injuries just exist. They're never going to fix themselves.
Starting point is 01:02:28 I'm having to have that realization with myself now. Like, I heard my back. I had a physical therapist over last night working on my back. It hurts so bad. And he's like, what did you do? And I was like, tweaked at pickleball tournament. And he's defeat? No, it was before that.
Starting point is 01:02:40 It's been hurting that bad. But, yeah, if you really wanted it, he'd have been making tapes, trying forever. But it's not too late. That season hasn't passed. You're right. Make a tape. It's also like all the businesses, making money, making it. They haven't come to fruition yet, man.
Starting point is 01:02:57 That's what a lot of businesses are. Yeah. Not all businesses make it. But you haven't started a business. He hasn't. He hasn't. He hasn't. He hasn't.
Starting point is 01:03:06 You haven't. What is the business that you started? Don't bring up DVDs. That's going to be the lawn mower company. I could do the lawn mowing company. I can do the DVD. I think we all as kids did. Bones cones.
Starting point is 01:03:18 But that never happened. I mean, that was a great idea. But, I mean, the name that was going to be used, the franchise name, he wasn't about it. He wasn't wanting us to use his name. And lunches cones doesn't really roll off the tone. I don't think the name of the place makes the place. I think the name of the place adds to it. But I think the name of the place doesn't.
Starting point is 01:03:37 make a success. But yeah, that's my point. I think he could be on a reality show and kill it. Absolutely. I think he would do excellent. But he doesn't do the work to get to that point to even prove it. Just like Abby, I think if she'd have started working a long time ago, like working, I think she could actually be pretty good.
Starting point is 01:03:54 I don't know what her ceiling is, but I think she could have been a lot better than she has now if she's been working at it. But that's a compliment at the same time. You've given up on me. No, you gave up on yourself. I didn't give up. You know who gave up? Still there. Morgan.
Starting point is 01:04:12 She gave up on being a singer. And you know what, Morgan, I want you to get back into it. No. Yeah, no, no, no, no. I embarrass myself enough. I don't need to do that anymore. Okay. Abby, keep at it.
Starting point is 01:04:23 Okay. Third song. Coming soon. You don't even have to learn the guitar. I know, that's true. No big deal. But it's going to be harder on you if you don't because you're not able to do the things because you can't do it without a player.
Starting point is 01:04:34 You can't do this if somebody doesn't show up and play the music. You want to be able to own that. Own the ability to do that. so you can do it on your terms. Yeah, that'd be awesome. But I did that in here, remember? And I was so nervous. And you know how you get unnervious?
Starting point is 01:04:47 It's through repetition. That's the only way to not be nervous about something that you're nervous about is through repetition. There is no way to talk yourself out of being nervous. So it's just doing it over and over again. And realizing the worst that you fail is not that big of a deal. Like, oh, that sucked. That didn't do very well. And the world didn't end.
Starting point is 01:05:06 So I can do it again. No big deal. Fail until you don't. Ish. Yeah, ish. Okay, I'll give you one more story. Jewelry influencer Moshe Hamov was in New York, and he was robbed of $560,000 in jewelry by two mastmen in Queens.
Starting point is 01:05:25 Was he live? He's called the watch king. He was zapped with a stun gun. No, I don't think he was live on a stream. I wonder how they knew where he was. The attack caught on surveillance video happened outside of his home last Wednesday morning. They couldn't know where he lived. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:05:36 Yeah. One thief posed as a construction worker. Oh, that's ball. That's like a movie type stuff. That's the Oceans 8. Ocean's 10. Yeah, being a construction worker. Yeah, that's cool.
Starting point is 01:05:46 Pending him down and stole his watch, the suspect fled in a Mercedes SUV, and he has over 2 million followers, not the construction worker. Not the thief, yeah. He has clients like Pete Davidson. He now believes the robbery was a setup. He's since hired 24-7 security
Starting point is 01:06:01 and is haunted by the incident. Police have released images of the suspect. I'm watching them. They're in those yellow vests, there's two of them, and they got him up against the gate and he's pinned down and like, give me the watch, give me the watch.
Starting point is 01:06:10 Like they're holding him down. He's by himself. New York Post. That story. That's it. I want everybody to go attack the day today. Attack the day. If you want it.
Starting point is 01:06:21 Eat it. It's there for you. Go get it. Eat it. You know what? Let's just go with that. If you want it, eat it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:26 Well, I think I thought of that because whenever, back in 2006, when I started the show and I would do the Hollywood Skinny, I'd be doing it and you'd be like, you need to attack it. Eat the microphone. Like, because I. Different. Because that's like Malibank. to Mike. You would say that?
Starting point is 01:06:40 Yeah, that's... Well, you had to give her like a visual, like, you want to get up on the microphone? Because I just... Eat the microphone. It was the Hollywood Skinny, and I wasn't, it would come across not, I didn't have the umph to it that I needed, but I was new, so I was just sort of like reading stories. But if I got more into it, it made the Hollywood Skinny more interesting.
Starting point is 01:07:00 Eat the mic. Attack it. Eat the life. Go eat it. Mm-hmm. And that's what the kids say these days. She ate. And left no cross.
Starting point is 01:07:09 They say that? If you really do a good job. That's okay. If you really do a good job, you don't leave any crumbs. If you do a good job, if you do a really good job, you ate. But if you don't leave crumbs, that's it. Go attack life and don't leave any crumbs. That's it.
Starting point is 01:07:25 Okay, we'll see you guys tomorrow. Bye everybody. When a group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist, they take matters into their own hands.
