If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat, just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Yeah. Listen to thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. In 2023, Bachelor star Clayton Eckerd was accused of fathering twins. But the pregnancy, appeared to be a hoax. You doctored this particular test twice, Ms. Owens, correct?
Starting point is 00:02:39 I doctored the test once. It took an army of internet detectives to uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Gillespie and Michael Mancini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trapped. Laura, Scottsdale Police.
Starting point is 00:02:57 As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Bobby Bones. All right, so we're going to get over to Lainey Wilson, who did a great job at the CMAs. Thank you to all the part tours who listened to the podcast every single day. Very appreciative of you guys. And so we will come back and do our version of this podcast.
Starting point is 00:03:23 But first, here's our interview with Lainey Wilson. On the Bobby Bones show now. Lany, you're good to see you, great job at CMAs. Thank you. What went on leading up to it? Like, what kind of work did you do pre that we didn't get to see? Honestly, for me, like the week leading up to it, I was just trying to, like, get in the zone any way that I possibly could. Like, spending, like, a long time, doing meditations, doing all that kind of stuff to make sure that I was actually in every single moment and not, like, you know, skipping ahead.
Starting point is 00:03:57 And because I think that's when I could have, like, really screwed up. What was your fear then? It was, first of all, that it was going to fly by. and that I was just not going to, like, be where my feet were. I wanted to make sure that I represented country music the best way that I could. And I knew that this was, like, a huge opportunity. And the truth is, it could have, like, really helped me or it could have really hurt me. And I didn't even realize that until it started getting closer to Tom.
Starting point is 00:04:26 When they said, hey, we want you to do it by yourself, but you're going to do it by yourself, no Luke, no Peyton. What were your thoughts? I was like, I mean, at first, without even skipping a beat, I'm like, great, let's do it, let's do it. And then as time, like, as it got closer, I'm like, I really did say yes that I'm going to do this thing by myself. So, no pressure. You did an awesome job, by the way. Thanks, I got it. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:04:48 Awesome job. I enjoyed it. Did you get to, while in the middle of it, appreciate it? I did. And I did. And I think, like, I was just so bound in a term. And I'm like, okay, when I'm up there doing these, like, 8. hits that I was doing when I'm up here doing my performances or whatever like I do not need to be
Starting point is 00:05:08 thinking about what I'm like about to be doing here in like five minutes I just have to be exactly where my feet are and I think that helped a lot what about goldfish brain if something like you stumbled on something do we able to and I didn't see you stumble on anything I did stumble a few times so listen I've hosted a bunch of stuff and I have to like move on and like I'll beat myself up later because it will affect what happens in the future. That's it. When you get like tongue tied and you're like, do you have, were you able to have goldfish brine
Starting point is 00:05:35 and not think about any sort of tongue ties that just moved to the next thing? I thought about it a little bit. After I kind of like stumbled on a big X the plug thing, I said something about his debut record. And I was like, debut country record. What in the world am I doing? Because little things like that matter.
Starting point is 00:05:51 Probably it's crazy because nobody notices except for you. Yeah, I know. That's the craziest thing is nobody in the whole world would notice. But you know because you were doing it. And then also, closing out the show. I forgot that I was hosting the show. That's hilarious. Well, you also want, I think where you get the benefit here is you're freaking entertainer of the year, so you kind of freaking. And then literally Keith Irwin was like, bro, you got to close out the show. You got to close
Starting point is 00:06:13 out the show. I was like, oh, shoot, I got to bring us home. Did you watch it back? I haven't yet. Will you watch it back? I think I will. And most of the time I will say, like, I don't watch any performances back. I don't because like, what's done is done. And I know me. I'm going to be like, should have done that different, should have done that different. But I think when Duck gets home from Duck hunting, I think we'll probably sit on the couch and watch it. What did he say after the show? He was like, you killed it. And I was like, you're partial.
Starting point is 00:06:42 And he's like, no, but you really did. Both can be true, though. But both can be true. I really do think that. He was proud. He was like, I never doubted it. That's really cool. He did a really great job.
Starting point is 00:06:52 I'm super proud for you. Thank you. Yeah, super good. And then you win. What were you more nerve? Maybe nervous isn't the word. It's the easy word. But are you more nervous about the awards or the hosting?
Starting point is 00:07:02 I didn't even think. Like I was so tied up with the hosting and with like making sure that like opening medley monologue thing that I did and stuff. Like that I was like hitting my marks that honestly I thought I'm hosting this year. I probably ain't going to win a thing. And I wasn't even thinking about that. How many wardrobe changes did you have? Do you know? I think all together it was like seven or something like that.
Starting point is 00:07:27 What happens to those clothes? Well, some of them have to go back to where they came from, from the designers. And some of them actually got to keep. So we'll say, yeah, most of them are just loners. I don't know how that works with you. Do you, do you like buy the suits or you? They'll usually give them to me. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:46 Guys are different, though. Like, we dribble and pee and stuff. Yeah, true. Like, honestly, no, we're dirtier. They don't want it back. Yeah, they don't. Why are you giving away our secrets? Well, dribble.
Starting point is 00:07:56 Is that why y'all do it so you can keep the clothes? That's hilarious. I also had like in my contract when I was on certain shows to keep the clothes. Oh. But we can wear them multiple times and nobody notices. Like your stuff is so dynamic. We need you'll be able to wear it again. I feel like your stuff could end up in like a.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Museum, yes. Yeah, country music hall of fame or something. Are you saving stuff for that? Oh yeah. We got a big archive. I honestly need to get in there and figure out like what needs to stay and what needs to go. It's too much. Are you saying Lainie Wilson needs to go through her closet and clean stuff out like everybody else?
Starting point is 00:08:30 Yes. You're normal like us? I just sent five trash bags home with my mama. My mama's wearing on my hammy downs right now. Her mom's walking around in these CMA outfits with like the glitter. That's awesome. She's at Walmart and the glitter. The deep plunges.
Starting point is 00:08:46 Oh yeah. My mama loves dressing up. So I don't doubt it. That's funny. Don't doubt it. How's everything else going? Everything else is good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:54 Are you tired right now? Or are you coming off the high? I actually feel good. I mean, I sat on my couch for like four days straight, and that's enough for me. I'm like, okay, what next? So we're doing Macy's Day parade. Do you, that show is almost impossible to sing at because those floats, they move and it's hard to sing. Are you singing or are you lip syncing?
Starting point is 00:09:13 We're singing, but we're doing it like down on the ground, so I'm not on a float. Got it. Yep. Oh, you're one of the big ones then. Because the big ones they put on the ground. Yeah. They do. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:22 Well, you know that. Have you done the float now before? I know that. Stop it. Like, have you died? I'm not, like, been to the Macy's Day parade. Oh, okay. Well, this is good. Then you're getting like, yeah, because I always feel awkward for the, I mean, it's cool they get to be on the play, but I feel awkward for the.
Starting point is 00:09:36 I'm not trying to lip sing. I'm not trying to do that. Because it would be hard? Yes. I mean, it would be my luck that my lips would not match up, you know. I'd be holding that note and there's no music there. Do you run out of acceptance speeches? I do feel like, um,
Starting point is 00:09:54 I'm like, what have I not said? I mean, the truth is, I feel like I've said everything. But just even when it comes to like my writing and stuff like that, I'm having to, I've written so many songs at this point. I'm like, okay, it's time to dig deeper, you know, what have I not talked about? What am I learning about myself? And so I think it, like if I'm willing to be open and honest about like all of my feelings and stuff, which I keep a lot to myself too.
Starting point is 00:10:24 but can't tell all your business, then you have none. Then I feel like I still have a lot more to share. Are you learning that the more famous you get, the more you do want to hold back? I definitely think it's very important for me to try to keep some stuff. Because you were all out there. Like when you started, it was like, I'm Lannie. This is everything about me.
Starting point is 00:10:46 Yep. But now are there things you want to keep precious? I do. I really do. and even though like me and duck you know like everybody everybody knows about us in our relationship that's another thing that like it's really sacred to me you know i just want to uh i just want to do what most married couples do and treat each other that way and so i don't know i do feel like um it can get pretty sticky or dangerous when everybody knows everything yeah when i was
Starting point is 00:11:19 single, which was for a long time, I was like, everybody can know everything. But man, when you get a partner and stuff, it changes. It does because stuff affects them. Like if I would say something stupid, it would affect my wife. That's right. And so, yeah, there started to be very precious parts of our relationship, too, that I never really even thought what happened to me because I'm like, I'm putting it all out there. It doesn't matter. Yeah. But then if I can come back weird on, then I don't want it out there. That's right. That's right. I'm the same way. Yeah. So obviously, you've acted, but you're doing the movie. that's coming out. Reminders of him. Reminders of him. That's next year, right?
Starting point is 00:11:54 Yep. I believe it's coming out in March. How long ago did you shoot that? It was this summer. How was that? How was it different shooting a movie than a television show? I will say this was my first role where I was actually somebody that was not a musician. Oh, you got to play somebody other than yourself. Yes. Got it. So that was a big thing. It was kind of me. But you didn't play yourself in Yellowstone. It was just a version of yourself.
Starting point is 00:12:20 For sure. For sure. But this was like definitely not, you know. I mean, of course I found like parts of myself in the character in the movie because I think it's important to do that in general, you know, when you're acting. At least that's what I'm learning right now. I'm brand spanking new at it. But yeah, it was fun.
Starting point is 00:12:41 I was there. I think we filmed like three or four days, knocked it out. And for Yellowstone, it was like a couple of things. it was like a couple days here and then you'd have to go back a month later and then a couple days there and so this was much quicker. Did you enjoy it more?
Starting point is 00:12:58 I enjoyed it. I don't know about more. I feel like it was just different. I loved it. Have you seen it back? I have not seen it back. I probably won't see it back until everybody sees it back. So they don't send it for you to see or anything?
Starting point is 00:13:11 No. It feels like when a songwriter writes a song and they really don't get to hear it until it's fully cutting on an album. Yeah. that's how it feels that's about what it reminds me of yeah we'll see i think it's going to be good amy did your character have an accent like your accent yes on yellowstone you were british you're yes i mean you were you were you were a singer you were it's like western it's the vibe
Starting point is 00:13:34 like for sure and my first like the first season that we did with yellowstone you know kelly riley who plays beth on the show yeah um she asked me she was like right when i met her she said, is your accent real? And I said, is your accent real? Because she's British. But yeah, so I kept the same accent. They didn't ask me to change it. I mean, this is, it is what it is.
Starting point is 00:13:59 I definitely will need a lot more coaching if I ever get a role where I have to just like be, even kill. Sometimes I'll see actors talking their regular voice and they're not American. Blown away. It blows my mind. It blows my mind, too. The biggest one is that guy from Walking Dead, the sheriff from Georgia. And he's like, I might.
Starting point is 00:14:17 I'm like, no, dude, you're from Atlanta. You're a car from Atlanta. Like, that always throws me. You also had your, you're going to be on Family Guy on Friday night, right? That's right. Is that Friday night? It is. Yeah, it comes out.
Starting point is 00:14:28 Yeah, the Family Guy Christmas special. And so that's your first animated. So you were just being you. Yes. I mean, it was, I mean, I'm just singing a little song. So that was my first, like, voiceover type thing I did. I'd like to get into more of that. I like your hat.
Starting point is 00:14:42 Thank you. Obviously, howdy. Howdy. Is. Mini Pearl? Yeah. Yeah, but Marcus King's wife, Briley King, this is her hat. Oh, she has the cutest hats. She has the cutest hats.
Starting point is 00:14:53 Yeah. But she, that's a, but that's a mini pro howdy, right? Yeah. But she designed it. Yeah, it's got the little, I don't know if you can say the little price tag on the back right here. Yeah. Because she had the price tag that would hang out of it.
Starting point is 00:15:04 $1,000? Wow. $1,000. No, there's no price tag. I was doing, I'm currently producing a podcast and a part of it. It's about Minnie Pearl. Wow. And how what a lot of people, and I think,
Starting point is 00:15:15 we know, but a lot of people that would just see her at the opera or see her as the character, she was like a classically trained vocalist. And she like... And she like... And she would like, you know, play the character on stage, but she was, you know, very trained, very stage. It was really cool that she had all these abilities, but she loved Nashville and country music so much and loved the opera so much.
Starting point is 00:15:41 I think about you, I mean, because obviously the opera's been a big part of your life too. Yes. Do you remember when they invited you to be a member of the opera? Oh my gosh. What was that story? So I was on the voice in Reba. You weren't competing. No, no, no, I wasn't competing.
Starting point is 00:15:58 I never made it on the voice. Remember I tried out like seven or eight times? I said, no, girl. But I was just doing a performance. And then I had had a birthday a couple days before. And I thought Reba was coming up with like a little thing of cupcakes. And then she had this belt buckle. and invited me to be a member of the Opry.
Starting point is 00:16:17 So I will never forget that. It's 100 years. It's crazy that the Opry has... A hundred years. Been able to, as they say, keep the circle unbroken. Do you know how many times you played it? I've had to guess.
Starting point is 00:16:31 I don't know. Maybe 40. Yeah. I feel like 40. There's a weird thing that says you hate being barefoot. I find that to be weird because I consider you
Starting point is 00:16:39 be a country barefoot person. Who said I hate being barefoot? That's what I thought. So it's not true? It ain't true. Yeah. But I don't, I mean, I could get behind not wanting to, like, if you're at a hotel, I don't rock barefoot on anything. Well, I think there's being in a gross place, like a bathroom on an airplane barefoot. I don't like that.
Starting point is 00:16:56 No, no, no. That's what I'm saying. Well, but, I mean, there's time for, yeah, being barefoot. Can I read you because what these fun facts that I just found about you are? Yes. Okay. She hates being barefoot. That's weird. Now, I probably have mentioned in the past that I have planters fasciatus. It's not flared up right now, but I've had it in the past.
Starting point is 00:17:17 That'll hurt if you're barefooted. Well, no, she says or to see it. No, it hurts. No, it hurts. Oh, I thought. You can't really see it. Oh, you can't? You can't see it.
Starting point is 00:17:26 Okay, just kidding. You think it's like a work? Sorry, my bad. I was thinking bunions. You're thinking bunnies. You're like, why would you tell somebody you got bunions? I don't have bunions. Okay.
Starting point is 00:17:36 She's shockingly good at whistling. Absolutely not. I cannot whistle. Watch. No, I'm telling you, when I read these, I was like, this stuff can't be true. They just made all that stuff up. let's see. Yes. She writes many of her lyrics while driving. I do write some of my lyrics while driving, but not a lot of them. I mean, I might come up with like a random melody or something and put it in my
Starting point is 00:17:56 little voice memo. But you don't like, while you're driving. No. That's unsafe. No, no, no. I just want to cover you there. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Um, you, uh, no, this is probably true. You traveled with a blowup mattress when you were playing early on? No, I did not. Like in your camper or you know, a blowout mattress or anything? No, I mean, I had a bed in my camper. Look at you. Flax. Hey, flex. That's right. Listen. Take that. You used to tape your bell bottoms because you couldn't afford tailoring. Tape them. That's what I, who came up with these? I literally before you walked in, I said, tell me something new about Lainey Wilson. Just to see what the internet would say and all this came up. A bunch of lies. False. Well, I have a true or false, but it might be awkward. What? Is it again? Is it about warts? Are you asking me if it's okay? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:18:41 Okay, true or false, you ran into a lunchbox in a parking garage and like, did you know it was lunchbox or you just recognize his face? No, I knew it was lunchbox. Are you sure? You asked a question in a way. Yeah, that was a weird way to ask question. It was like which one of us did you run into in a parking garage? Because she's so nice, even if she didn't know what was him, she's going to say. Well, that would be true or false.
Starting point is 00:19:02 That would be a question. I was coming out of the doctor's office. See? And you're coming out of the doctor's office. Thank you. And I said that. You can't say she was going to the doctor's. No, we didn't want you to say, stop.
Starting point is 00:19:12 We didn't want them to say anything about you being to the doctor. Yes, but that's your right to tell. He was like, she was coming out of the doctor. We're like, don't say she's the doctor. But I'm like, everybody goes to the doctor. Yeah, I ain't nothing wrong with that. I didn't think it was a big deal. It was like an E&T or something like that.
Starting point is 00:19:26 We both had ear nose throat problems. She said, he said you're with your fiance and it was like, hey, who knows why they're in the doctor? That's their own business. We'll just keep doctor out of it. Yeah, I think I had like some bad double ear infection. Well, that would have been, he could have said E&T and that might. Well, giving your specifics of me, who knows? We're like, you know.
Starting point is 00:19:44 Leave it out. We have hip. I think if you'd ask the question differently, we could have got a different answer. No, I think she really would say. She's not, I didn't lead the witness. I mean, she even said what doctor. I never said that.
Starting point is 00:19:57 That's right. What doctor it was, so she knew who it was. Like, it was. Were you at the same doctor? Yes. 100%. Okay, see, because he brought this story in and then we just didn't know. We were like, I think she was just being nice and maybe said hi to you.
Starting point is 00:20:08 Stop. Like anybody that comes up to you, you're like, what's up person? Hey, how's your mama? Elani, congratulations on everything. Thank you. You're doing the CBS New Year's Eve live. Is that that when you're on television,
Starting point is 00:20:25 do you micro monitor your movements more? Because you know what camera's on you way closer? I definitely feel like I like play to the camera. Like winks and smiles and stuff that maybe you wouldn't do at a festival show because people aren't that close? I do think. And you would probably agree that the way that you perform has to be a little bit different. Just like when you're singing at a show versus when you're singing the song in the studio,
Starting point is 00:20:51 you have to kind of just be able to bob and weave. Yeah, I think it's a little different. Well, congratulations on everything. We're super proud for you. Thank you. And you wrapped up the whirlwind tour, right? We're about to go do the Australian leg in February, but we've wrapped up the American leg. Wow.
Starting point is 00:21:07 How does like an Australian, have you done Australian? Australia yet? I have. And like our tickets over there, is it crazy? They sell because you don't have any cousins over there. No cousins. Yeah. But they're, I mean, they're like British Texans. That's what it's like. Really? They like to have a good time. That's great. Amy, any final questions for Laney? Well, did you take dances again? I took jazz tap and ballet from the time I was like tiny to like seven years old. Okay. I don't know why I was wondering that the other day about you. So I thought I just ask you now. Because I'm like, I just didn't know Once, like, your shows pick up and you start adding more elements and you are doing the award shows and whatnot and you have to add more to it.
Starting point is 00:21:47 Yeah. Because I didn't know what your shows were like back in the early days, which speaking of, I saw you post that clip of the fan that was at your casino show. And you said, like, nobody was there. And she comes to, like, a lot of your shows and you saw her. And it was like now a packed crowd. Oh, and you even got her name. Like, I don't know what those shows were like back in the day. But now you've got so many different elements to it.
Starting point is 00:22:08 I'm like, I wonder if she had to learn how to dance or she's already. a good dancer. Well, I don't even know if I'd say I'm a good dancer. I just like to dance and I feel like I just can't help but move my body. So even when there were two or three people there, Emily and Aslan, her sister, I was still trying to break a leg. I like to move my body too. Yeah. I'm a big body mover. Lanny Wilson, everybody, Lundy, congratulations. Happy holidays. Merry Christmas. Thank you. All the things you say to people you like. I hope it's awesome and we'll see you next year. All right. There she is. Lany Wilson, everybody. Let's go over to Hannah who is listening in Illinois.
Starting point is 00:22:43 Hey, Hannah. Oh, hey, Bobby. What's going on? Not much. How are you guys today? We're pretty good. What can I do for you? I was calling because I know you talked about it either last week on the podcast.
Starting point is 00:22:59 I worked for UPS and I worked their chip, so I listen to the podcast all the time. But I know your favorite side is Okra for Thanksgiving. So I was wondering what everybody else's favorite Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving side is. Interesting. First of all, I like to say fried okra. Yeah. Be clear. Not boiled, not picked straight off that out of the garden. I like fried.
Starting point is 00:23:20 And I don't know that it's my number, number one favorite that I have to have. I love it. But if I'm just going to have turkey, I can't just have fried okra with it. I was talking about this yesterday. It's on my Instagram. I have been gaslit for a long time about Thanksgiving. From who? The world.
Starting point is 00:23:36 Only you? All of us. What does that mean? Turkey is not that good I love turkey when there are other great things with it but by itself turkey just isn't that good
Starting point is 00:23:48 You need to try my turkey I hear everybody says that Like oh wait do you try it But I'm saying generally speaking Like of the meats Turkey is probably low A steak would be the best Yeah but I'm saying then why not have a better
Starting point is 00:24:00 Like ham tastes better Yeah ham is better Beef tastes better But turkey now is that holiday And if it's not there It doesn't feel right But turkey and I was listening to a podcast
Starting point is 00:24:10 and they were just ripping on turkey and I was like, you guys are so wrong and the more they talked, I was like, I kind of feel the same way. I love turkey with the right things around it. Yeah, I'm not a turkey defender. I always have to dip it in ketchup. What?
Starting point is 00:24:24 Weird. I'm not going to judge you, but that's weird. Yeah, like I'm probably the only person with ketchup at the Thanksgiving table, but there are other things you can put ketchup on, but turkey feels weird. I'm like, it's not illegal, so weird's fine with me. Thanks. But Okra's not my favorite side.
Starting point is 00:24:38 If I'm going to have turkey, obviously the number one side is dressing, but does that count as a side or is that just part of the main? No, that's a side. That's a side. Yeah, you're good. Totally a side. So that has to be number one.
Starting point is 00:24:49 Yeah, that's pretty good. And then from there it has to be mashed potatoes as like the cores. I'm not going to enjoy the mashed potatoes as much as I'm going to do the fried okra, but that has to like fill out the plate before I can do anything else. And cranberry sauce. Then I'm good. Then I can add like the third. Ocar is my number one third leveler.
Starting point is 00:25:09 corn, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, turkey. That has to exist there before I can even allow the others to come into play. You? Yeah, I'm with you on stuffing or dressing. Like, that's solid. What do you call it? We call it both, but I'll call it dressing because that's predominantly like what my parents would say.
Starting point is 00:25:31 Dressing. And then mac and cheese and sweet potato casserole. Oh, that's good. Mac and cheese is interesting. Yeah, that's a good one. I don't think about it because I don't only eat any dairy. at all anymore. I can't, but I do like most mac and cheeses. Sweet potato casserole is interesting
Starting point is 00:25:45 because what about, I just like sweet potatoes or yams. Isn't that a sweet potato? Or some people call it sweet potato castoril. Some people call it candied yams. I guess if I think of what my family really calls it, it's candy dams. So you're talking like, you know, the diced up yams or sweet potatoes. So that's all the same just said differently. With like a sugar glaze and some marshmallows on top that are burnt. Love the marshmallows. It feels like I'm naughty having dessert during the meal. Yeah, but you mix it in with some.
Starting point is 00:26:09 some of your saltsy things on your plate and it's just so good. I like nuts on it too. Oh, no nuts. I like when they do like the little sprinkles in that. No. Yes, I've had that. I understand y'all have had it,
Starting point is 00:26:21 but it shouldn't, that shouldn't be. Oh, it's good though. And be like, you got to put ketchup on it. And we didn't hate on you for that. Yeah, nobody's hating on you. I'm just saying when I picked that. I don't want any nuts on mine. You see how you got grace with ketchup?
Starting point is 00:26:35 Maybe you could sprinkle your own nuts on your plate. But like, if you make it with them, the nuts than... I do like the marshmallows on it, though. Yeah. Yeah, it feels naughty. Is the roll, like, is the roll aside because that's my favorite part of the meal. Yeah, the...
Starting point is 00:26:52 Really? The warm buttered rolls. And I think in this situation, a roll... Most times this is not the case. Roll greater than biscuit at Thanksgiving. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. You don't do a biscuit.
Starting point is 00:27:04 And probably you, like, use the roll to, like, eat other thing. Grab some turkey. Okay. Oh, or that green bean. Oh, I never put turkey in it, but the gravy for sure. The gravy with the green bean casserole. Like, ah, it's so good. It's also the broom at the end.
Starting point is 00:27:17 Yes, it is the broom at the end where you sweep everything into a pile and you can use it to like eat with it. So good. At some point I make like a sandwich out of it. Turkey sandwich out of my roll. Rolls that important. Love it. I didn't think about it, but rolls are very important. We tried to find rolls that didn't have butter or weren't made with butter impossible.
Starting point is 00:27:36 So stupid. I started following. I'm such a loser. where I started following somebody that just talks about food with non-dairy in Nashville. And she travels around and just doesn't get dairy-free. That's not a loserish, man. It's just the life you have to live. I know, but even I get annoyed talking about it.
Starting point is 00:27:53 You know? Yeah. So did you find dairy-free rules? Yeah, I don't post in a while. Oh, no. I feel that's possible. You can do sourdough. Okay.
Starting point is 00:28:03 But not the same. That's not the same. I'd rather have nothing than have a fraction. of it. And I feel like sourdough is not real. It's just a fraction of what the bread would be. Are you prepared for all the butter? Like that goes in mashed potatoes? I won't eat it. So I know mashed potatoes. That's why he's having fried okra. Fried okra. And then we're taking, I have to take a couple dishes that I'll just eat when I get there, which kind of sucks. I like to get there and eat other people's dishes.
Starting point is 00:28:28 But I have to take a couple dishes with us to Oklahoma that I can eat during Thanksgiving. Have you tried just for this one day doing the lactate? I would do that. And I've done lactate. and I've tried it, I've been practicing with it. It's like it's a tuba. I go in my room and I practice. So yes, but it doesn't fully work. It's mostly effective and I don't want to be at somebody's house staying and I have bad stomach issues. If I was at my house, stick of butter.
Starting point is 00:28:57 But you're at your in-laws, right? Yeah, but they have two bathrooms. You don't feel comfortable, there's like eight people there. It's just I can't, if I have to go to the bathroom, sometimes I don't even have to go. My stomach just hurts so bad and I don't have to go. I'm in there for like 45 minutes or an hour. Yeah. So I can't dominate a bathroom.
Starting point is 00:29:13 It also hurts my stomach. No, I get that. That would be the reason number one. It hurts your stomach. Yeah. The bathroom, dude. But there's only two in the whole house. Family.
Starting point is 00:29:21 But there's eight people and kids everywhere. It's okay. Hey, Uncle Bobby's in that one, so stay away from that one. I don't like that to be a reputation around the holidays. Right. He's just gone and sits in the bathroom. He's in there. Leave him alone.
Starting point is 00:29:31 Favorite side lunchbox? Oh, it's rolls. I love rolls. Like, they are the best thing. The best. I eat them. And you know, you have to dip them, just eating them. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:29:40 Have like five of them. Then you're like, man, should I have eaten five rolls? Give me a sixth. I didn't know what rolls you all get. I like the Hawaiian. I forget what they're called. Hawaiian rolls are good. Kings Hawaiian.
Starting point is 00:29:50 What is it? Kings Hawaiian. I feel like King's Hawaiian is really a plus. Okay. I just get the raw ones that you put in the oven for 15 minutes. 15 minutes. Oh, man. So good.
Starting point is 00:30:01 Hannah, we went really in depth here on your question. Yeah. Yeah, you did. I loved, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was talking along with you guys. I'm a green bean casserole type. My wife makes it with cream of onion instead of cream of mushroom. So, I mean, I guess there's not much of a flavor difference, but still I do like my wife's version.
Starting point is 00:30:22 I don't know my mom not. I don't like onions. I don't like mushrooms. So both versions of that cream feels disgusting to me. Do I even, would I even taste it? No. Yeah, I'd say no, too. Because I hate onions.
Starting point is 00:30:32 Green bean casserole is legit. I don't mind an onion ring, though. They're fried on top. They're fried onions. And who knows? They come in some can that lives forever. So I don't really know that they're even real onions, to be honest. Well, Hannah, I hope you have a happy Thanksgiving.
Starting point is 00:30:47 Good point. Hey, thanks. You guys too. Appreciate it. And again, I'm a podcast listener. Yeah, thanks. Have a good one. All right, bye-bye.
Starting point is 00:30:56 Lunchbox, what happened with Morgan? Well, she was stuck in the stairwell. Sometimes you come into work in the stairwell, like the little Zapper won't work, so you're stuck in there. And so she needed someone to let her out. It's like a digital key. Yeah. A key fob.
Starting point is 00:31:08 Yeah. And so she's yelling for help. Did you just hear her? Yeah. You didn't call anybody Morgan? You started screaming help? That's not true. I texted the group chat and I said, can somebody let me in? I saw that.
Starting point is 00:31:18 Okay. So he didn't even hear a yell. Oh my gosh. Okay. I didn't remember really, to be honest with you. And I went over there and I'm like, oh, you know what? You want in here? So I started making her say great things about me.
Starting point is 00:31:28 And let me tell you, Morgan has no sense of humor. She is so mad and angry about this. So I'm not going to let her end. she responds the right way. He recorded it. Here we go. Hello? No.
Starting point is 00:31:41 Say lunchbox is the greatest. What? No. All right. See you later. I didn't hear you. Wait a little louder. No.
Starting point is 00:31:56 Say it like you mean it. No, I said, you know what you got to say. Lunchbox. Yeah, there you go. Welcome to work. This guy. And she was all mad and annoyed. And I'm like, Morgan.
Starting point is 00:32:11 I didn't hear her being mad. annoyed her laughing at you. Yeah. She did say she was cold in there. No, but out of her, she's like, that's so annoying. And also she wasn't yelling help. She's like,
Starting point is 00:32:20 so annoying. That's so dumb. I'm like, Morgan, you need to learn what is funny. Like, that's funny. Right?
Starting point is 00:32:26 Am I crazy? That's funny? It's funny. It's funny. Yeah, it's fine. Like, she needs a new sense of humor
Starting point is 00:32:33 if she doesn't think that's funny. But she's stuck in a stairwell, so she just wants out of there. Like, do it once. Ha-ha, let her out. Louder! It's like someone who gets on
Starting point is 00:32:41 stage or in the middle of like concert, I can't hear you, the warm up person, get louder. I got no more in me. You want us to get louder? What do you want? Like, we already woo-woo, once. So, Amy, is that funny? Yeah, I mean, I thought it was funny. And she was laughing.
Starting point is 00:32:57 She was cold. She was just like, come on. It is wintertime here. Thank you. By good clips. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying.

Starting point is 00:37:00 The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in so-ins, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see
Starting point is 00:37:19 what their tax dollars were being used for sunlight's the greatest disinfected. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Gillespie and Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trap.
Starting point is 00:37:36 Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Americopa County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges. This isn't over until just. is served in Arizona. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Yesterday I got a text going, hey, Tracy Lawrence needs turkeys
Starting point is 00:38:08 because there was a refrigerator truck. All these turkeys went bad in it, and he did a big turkey charity thing. And so I was talking with Morgan number one, and we had, we got my SUV, her, and then we had kickoff kemuff. Kevin's truck ready to go and we were going to finish podcast because I had my NFL show yesterday and we're going to go because they said we need thousand turkeys. So we're just going to go and buy them all.
Starting point is 00:38:32 Then I started thinking if we go to a grocery store and buy all the turkeys, is that mean? Because people come and look for turkeys or no other turkeys, even if you buy it for charity. Yeah, I mean, yeah. Like if we walk in and buy all the turkeys and we're just walking out, I'm not done it with all of them. Rude? I'd be like, what kind of jerk bought all the turkeys? Right. I didn't want to be that jerk. Yeah. Maybe if you spread it out just to not make it.
Starting point is 00:38:53 inconvenient, but they're turkeys for somebody, so it's still okay. You can't spread it out because we were all going to walk in there together and fill up all the carts and then go and dump them all and just take them over there. Would that have been... I don't think it had been rude. I think it had been inconvenient because they would have gone there, but you're also giving them to someone. So they're not like you're just buying them to throw them out in the middle of the road and waste them. Yeah, that'd be a jerk thing to do. Yeah. Anyway, we plan to do it. And in the middle of the podcast, we got a text going, we're good.
Starting point is 00:39:21 Everybody already, the community already came together and donated like 1,000 turkeys. Oh, man, I was planning on doing it too then. You say, I was planning on doing that. I actually have text messages about organizing it. I was planning on that. What about you, Eddie? No, I never got the text. No, no, I was just on the phone with people saying, hey, should we go get some turkeys?
Starting point is 00:39:38 Then I found out they were full. Oh, yours was verbal. Well, I had the moral question of, can we go by all the turkeys and then. It's a fair question, though. Yeah, I think that's valid. And not be jerks because that would suck to go and this is, I'll show you this. No, we believe you. No, no, because he's doing his thing
Starting point is 00:39:55 I was like, I was going to do it. No, but he wasn't. No, no, I was on the phone. So Morgan said, Tracy's manager, show us to call. You have a call logging. Yeah, I got a phone call. Tracy's manager sent me a text this morning.
Starting point is 00:40:05 Tracy needs your help. And then I asked Morgan, hey, do you have my credit card? Can you make the first run? I can't get out. I have the NFL podcast. I can go after two and we'll load my car
Starting point is 00:40:17 and we'll get kicked out Kevin's truck. And so, anyway, I have it if we wanted to like, I just wondered if it would be wrong of me to take all the turkey. was my question, not that I needed to prove anything. You know, I think that the grocery store probably has a ton, right? Like in the back, not just what they have out for everyone to see.
Starting point is 00:40:35 I would think it's Thanksgiving time. Community came together. Nobody needed it, WKRN with that story. Here's what's crazy, though. Like, when you go to the grocery store and buy a frozen turkey today, it is dirt cheap because it's frozen. And so it's going to take forever to thaw out so they drop the prices. So at this point, if you're going to buy a turkey today, it's got to be thawed out. And the prices are pretty high, so it's pretty expensive, like to buy a turkey even yesterday.
Starting point is 00:40:59 Ways to thaw it out rapidly. It's just not safe. Like, there is, but, like, you risk a little bit of... You can buy a flamethrower on TikTok. Have you seen those? I saw it, dude. I saw that. I thought about it, and I don't need a flamethrower for any reason whatsoever.
Starting point is 00:41:13 The only thing I could do with a flamethrower would be stupid. Uh-huh. And I almost bought it. Yeah. See, there's a thing I used to, like, smoke little wood pellets. And I could use a flame. A flamethrower? So I did think about it for a second.
Starting point is 00:41:25 Now you have a reason I would get a flamethrower. Those things look awesome. There is a Virginia high school football coach who, this is as of last night, who went missing. This update was last night. So they don't have them yet. So the whole story,
Starting point is 00:41:39 and he's like a winning football coach. They're undefeated. Virginia high school football coach who went missing last week is now wanted for possession of child sexual abuse material. No. And using a computer to solicit a minor authority said yesterday.
Starting point is 00:41:51 Well, that's why he's missing. Yep. Yeah, no crap. Well, no, no, but when it first came out when the first... Yeah, he was just missing. It was like, oh my gosh, the community, we got to find this guy, this coach, undefeated season, he's gone missing. And everybody's like, oh, my God, we got to find him.
Starting point is 00:42:04 And I did see... I saw the last he was seen as like wearing sweatpants walking in the woods. Yeah, I'm like, well, we know where you went. 46-year-old Travis Turner of Appalachia, Virginia has been missing since November 20th, is now considered a fugitive. Police obtained 10 warrants for Turner on Monday, including five counts of possession of child pornography, five counts of using a computer to solicit a minor.
Starting point is 00:42:23 He's a physical education teacher and head football coach. They are 12 and 0. The Wise County School District said Tuesday it's aware of the charges against Turner who has been on administrative leave since the incident began. Well, not just that. He's been on human leave. He's been gone. Then you went and killed himself?
Starting point is 00:42:38 Yeah, that's my guess. It's like he went into the woods and they're going to find his corpse here in a few days. I saw a guy. I mean, why else was going to the woods? He was making a joke about how we overvalue our football coaches. And it was total satire. And he was like, I don't care what kind of picture he's got.
Starting point is 00:42:56 He's 12 and 0. We need him on the sidelines. And it was actually quite intelligent in the way of that's how we value our coaches and it was way over the top. But he was like, this is how messed up we are. We'll let extremely flawed people and we celebrate them because they're good at football.
Starting point is 00:43:13 And again, that's not what's happening. But I thought it was a pretty understood, needily understood, message. Do we celebrate a lot of these guys who can just coach a football game? Even they're awful, awful, awful people. But that's not this case here specifically. I don't even know if he did it.
Starting point is 00:43:35 I mean, I don't know if he did it. But his actions lead me to believe he did it. Well, and they say they found stuff on his computer. Like they were going, the pleas were on. You ever saw Tucker Carlson, though, talk about how if you have a laptop, he's like, I don't even own a laptop. And I'm not saying this happened because they can put stuff on your computer if they want to frame you for anything. Who?
Starting point is 00:43:58 He's, you know his dad was CIA, Tucker Carlson. Yeah, sorry. Who, I mean, who would do that to this guy? Well, no, I'm not saying it's done specifically. I'm just saying that what Tucker Carlson was saying was, I don't own a laptop because anybody that wants anything on you, it has the power and the capability, they can put anything on your computer. And the next thing you know, they lead you to your computer and they're like, oh,
Starting point is 00:44:19 we got this. Up, time to go to jail. He said they do that all the time. Man, I was listening to a podcast yesterday where this guy died. He got shot. And when they're investigating and trying to figure out who shot him, some woman came forward with some bogus story about how she met him online, but then she was disgusted because he was asking for like child pictures or something.
Starting point is 00:44:48 Well, turns out all of her claims were completely false. She wasn't a credible witness, like nothing. but still you've got this dead person and that story is now out there of heart of the investigation so some people will never get that out of their mind That'll be the first thing on Google search too It's probably going to pop up Yeah some people will forever be like
Starting point is 00:45:06 Oh man he had He was requesting pictures of children Yeah So this story here Tucker Carlson has publicly stated He does not own a computer or laptop Because of his concerns that the CIA or other government agencies might hack or plant illicit material On his devices to discredit him
Starting point is 00:45:22 Into how it can be done Wow And so, again, when the story comes out, it's easy to go, yeah, he ran, probably did it. But then, again, I just, I never want to go, yep. I don't know. Maybe it's the older version of me, and I've seen too many people be pinned for things they haven't done. That it's like, I kind of want to give everybody the benefit of the doubt until it's proven.
Starting point is 00:45:41 A little something called, well, innocent until proven guilty? Yeah. I feel like to start investigating him anyways, though, and looking into a teacher's computer, they had to have reports. I agree. From probably students. But I'm just not rushing anymore to be like, yep, got child born. Probably.
Starting point is 00:46:00 But not for sure. Well, not for sure. And Tucker is also in a place of privilege where he can have enough people around him that can have computer. Like how some people can't operate without a computer. My point wasn't that. It was only that. Oh, I know.
Starting point is 00:46:16 I'm just thinking about Tucker is like able to protect himself in that way. But he is high profile. to where, yeah, I could see someone wanting to to keep with him. They could do it to anybody. It's not even about high profile. They wanted somebody out of a position. You could do it.
Starting point is 00:46:32 Yeah, you could do it. You could hire somebody to do it. It doesn't have to be CIA. You could hire somebody to do it. But how would they get my computer? They would hack it. They're not going to come like physically pick it up, but they're going to enter it.
Starting point is 00:46:44 You know when you're connected to the internet and stuff? That's what I just said. CIA or other agencies or hackers would hack in and plant a list of material in your computer. I'd have to click on a link right before they can get in my computer or they can just right now get on my computer. They could probably right now just get on your computer. Yeah, how good they are. They don't have to Trojan horse their way in.
Starting point is 00:47:04 That is how some people give access. I had a friend who was a private investigator and he had Trojan horse to crap out of people. I've only heard a Trojan horse. Don't know what really what it is. War, they sent the Trojan horse, the big Trojan horse in. Here you go. Have this Trojan horse. But inside was actually people.
Starting point is 00:47:23 allowed the horse in, the people come out, kill them all. And so that's like the virus, Trojan horse, that you allow it into your computer. Yeah. Cool. Yeah, man, it was just a weird story because when you first read it, I was like, wow, dude, how did he go missing in the middle of an undefeated season? Then it comes out. The police were on their way to his house to talk to him when he headed for the woods.
Starting point is 00:47:43 And they were like, oh, he's not home. Okay, we'll turn around. And now it comes out. His wife posted like, we just need him home. And then the charges come out. She took down her post. She did? I know she was defending it for a bit.
Starting point is 00:47:56 I don't know if she continued to defend it. I would too. Meaning like she didn't know that version of that person. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, if you think your partner is innocent. But also imagine you do get framed for that. That's the worst thing you could get framed for. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:09 It's the worst. I guess the real worst would be actually doing it with kids, like messing with kids, but second would be that right there. Yeah. What? Well, I'm thinking, yes. You're right. in that order, but it's tricky because if like you didn't do it, it's the worst.
Starting point is 00:48:27 The idea of just being framed is just... The worst. And how many people are in our prison system now that actually didn't do it? Oh, a lot. Yeah, I would think a lot. Because of even like we talking about the Karen Reed stuff, it didn't have to be getting framed, it would be corruption or even political motivation. We got to make this person guilty so I can be mayor of town.
Starting point is 00:48:48 I'm freaking attorney, but I want to be mayor. I need this high profile win. It's like when lunchbox thought that. that I did PPs on his computer. I had nothing to do with it. But just because he thought I did it. Elivate that like six levels? That's justice system in some cases.
Starting point is 00:49:02 PPs. It was not a good feeling, lunchbox. Okay. No, no, no, no, no. And that's how the justice system responds. Exactly. And that's how they respond. And now everyone sees me as someone
Starting point is 00:49:12 who's going to put PeePs on computers, even though I didn't do it. Yesterday, Eddie and I walking out the street and they were like, there's Pee on computer guy. And I said, I didn't do it. I was clear to that. Yes. And it didn't matter, though.
Starting point is 00:49:21 Right. Because the headline when you Google you is, You understand what we're saying, right, Lunchbox? No, I get it. No, I understand there are people that are innocent that have been proven guilty and there's people that are guilty that have been proven innocent. I get it. It happens.
Starting point is 00:49:36 I'm just saying, like, OJ, when he gets in the Bronco and starts running from the police, I'm kind of like, ah, you know what I mean? Like, I'm pretty sure you did it then if you're doing that. Like, that seems pretty... If you don't feel like you're going to get a fair trial, I'd probably run. Although he probably did it. He did not lose, though. He did not lose his case.
Starting point is 00:49:57 Michael Jackson was never proven guilty of touching kids. He settled a civil case. And we think of Michael Jackson. Generally, our world does is like somebody who touched kids. Yeah. Amy, what you got over there? So cigarettes are having a resurgence. I hate that.
Starting point is 00:50:15 I see people like, like cool people. I hate it that they smoke so much now. Yeah. It's like starting to be cool again. Well, where it's showing up is, let's see, like movies, TV shows, about half of all movies, it says here, that made their debut last year, included appearances of cigarettes, cigars, and other tobacco products, which is up 10% from the previous year. And they're seeing, like, a rise in people smoking now after a years-long decline. Yeah, youth especially. So now people are freaking out that smoking rates are going to reverse because they already are.
Starting point is 00:50:53 and just could get worse. When they smoke in movies, are they, like, doing, like, a back in the day scene? No, no one's smoking. No. No. No. And then there's, like, Lord and Addison Ray and Sabrina Carpenter.
Starting point is 00:51:04 They were recently photographed wearing a corset made out of marble packages. So it's also just cigarette-related stuff. It's happened so many times that I've seen it even without the story. I'm like, oh, they're trying to make smoking cool again. I thought that was done. I was really settled in on vaping. Do they have vaping. It's bad, dude.
Starting point is 00:51:24 Oh my gosh. So many kids vape. It's crazy. But what's also crazy is that hot take, unpopular opinion, but probably factually accurate, smoking is probably just as bad as all the processed food reading. Yeah, I mean, some people link it to that were fried. Like, I heard a doctor once say that he would take a drag out of a cigarette
Starting point is 00:51:45 before he'd eat like something fried. And I'm like, eh, a lot for the fried. That's one drag, though. Well, I don't. Okay, but you're not just eating one bite of something processed. Right. We're stopping a gas. I just have to think about that because it does sound crazy to think that cigarettes could be as...
Starting point is 00:51:59 Well, it's almost just like what we've normalized and not, because alcohol is also under a category of being carcinogenic. But it's so readily, like, so available, so accepted. It's one of those things that we've just written off as like, oh, with alcohol is okay, we're giving it a pass. Because the government chose. They chose to make marijuana illegal. It was like, well, what do you want to we do? What political reasons? I've not had either.
Starting point is 00:52:26 And I think marijuana is so much better if you're going to pick than drinking. Like so much better. But we chose for different reasons to let alcohol be the thing that's accepted. And I do think all the bad food is just as bad as it is smoking. Yeah, that's crazy. Yeah, so roughly one in three cancer deaths in the U.S. are linked to cigarette smoking, according to the CDC. I wonder what my assistant would say about that. Cigarettes and processed food?
Starting point is 00:52:52 Yeah. My internet's bad. That was kind of weird. She just woke up. Sounds like she was smoking when I hit her up. Hey, pretty good. We're talking about cigarettes and how bad they are for you. And I made the parallel of eating a lot of processed food.
Starting point is 00:53:21 Because I don't like cigarettes. I've never smoked. I hate that people are smoking. And there's been a trend of young people smoking on social media and in movies. And I said, well, hot take, I think eating a whole bunch of processed food is probably very similar to smoking. Could you add to that in one way or another? Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:53:40 I think that's a really interesting comparison to draw. I mean, both smoking and eating a ton of ultra-processed foods can have these long-term negative health effects that kind of sneak up on you. You know, like smoking might lead to lung issues, heart issues over time, while a heavily processed diet can lead the things like obesity, heart disease, diabetes. So it's a fair point that in a way both are kind of these slow burn, health risks that people might overlook. Colon cancer.
Starting point is 00:54:05 Yeah. And the things that we don't even know processed food is doing to us because it's affecting parts of our bodies that have nothing to eating, so we just don't assume it's coming from all the bad food we're eating. I mean, no game of wrong. I'll still eat it, even though I know. But I know smart people who smoke. And I'm like, what do you think?
Starting point is 00:54:21 And I'm like, I know. Everybody has their thing. And I'm like, yeah, I do too. I have my things. We all have our things. Yeah. All right. Good story.
Starting point is 00:54:29 Eddie. There's a lady in Ohio. for the last 12 years she's been rescuing deer she loves deer she sees an injured deer she brings them in helps raise them well she just got killed by one of her deer what? How? One of her deer just like they got
Starting point is 00:54:45 they were enclosed in one area together and it was a male deer and male dears when they get their horns they just kind of like become the animal that they're supposed to be and then they just Oh the horn went into her? Yeah which is crazy because like they do say like you know
Starting point is 00:55:01 she died she died doing what she loved I guess that kind of falls in this category you know yeah I don't know getting gored by a deer is what she loved but she did care for deer that would be like working at a school and being murdered by one of the kids there well you know what he's a teacher he loved
Starting point is 00:55:19 he's doing what he loved I don't know that actually fits in that right I saw more like the crocodile hunter you know getting killed by a Stingray yeah yeah yeah okay okay okay okay what he loved doing yeah but that's still terrible Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay. It's like I'm trying to figure out when.
Starting point is 00:55:33 A little closer. When does the saying really makes sense. Well, let's say I were singing a really high note, hard as I could. Ha, ha, it's a great singer. Doing what you love. Had an aneurysm, boom, down. And you were 89. No, but that could be anytime.
Starting point is 00:55:50 That's better. Anytime and you go, Bobby, man, he loved to sing. I wouldn't stop singing. Like, you're going to have the aneurysm anyways, no matter what. So you might as well do it while you're seeing it. He's probably singing the dude. Well, I was going real hard. I was really trying to hit that note.
Starting point is 00:56:05 And I was holding it in the crowd. They're freaking going, oh, that's crazy. So I'm just pushing it then. I'm like, oh, okay. I'm being accepted and loved. And then boom, pop. Well, dang. Bobby died doing what he loved.
Starting point is 00:56:19 I guess they died doing what he loved. I think that works. I think it does too. And it was crazy too, like reading the story, like I had a deer growing up. That used to sleep. You didn't almost die. Stop. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:56:30 A deer slept with you. Yes. Why? What? No, it's true. He was sleeping my bed. And, like, he'd have to wake up. There'd be a hoof on my face.
Starting point is 00:56:37 Like, it was awesome. It was so cool. Why have we never heard this story more? We have been doing the show for a long time. You've heard this story before. Well, let's go to our, basically, our librarian or historian, Mike D. Have you ever heard the story? He has told the story before, and we reacted the same way.
Starting point is 00:56:55 We did? Okay. Everybody. We never heard the story. At least we're consistent with our reactions. That's cute. Cute, though. So it was male or female? Male, but then that's what I'm saying. When he got older, we couldn't even get close to him anymore.
Starting point is 00:57:08 We had to just like, all right, you're... How did he get in your bed? What do you mean? He's a baby. He's a fawn. He's a fawn. He had little dots on him, and he just sleep in my bed. That's like the friend I had the husband and wife. They had a deer that would come in their house. It was a male. He'd sleep on the bed. I mean, just re-it was a hurt deer. And we had them on the show. We had them on the show. Yeah, we had people too that had deer that would come in the house, but they wouldn't sleep in the bed. Tell me how to get them in my house because they come to, they're my yard all the time. You could do corn and do the trail.
Starting point is 00:57:35 You could do it. I mean, if you really, but you don't know what's going to come in then. Yes. And then you're the new story. Yeah. So be careful. I mean, obviously I'm going to limit it to females. You would probably have to find it or get a baby deer.
Starting point is 00:57:47 Keep it in a pin. I have baby deer. They sleep in my yard. Keep it in a pen and you can't really domesticate a deer. Well, the deer we found got hit. It's somewhat, yeah. The mom got hit by a car and the little fawn was running around. I don't know, like, take it away from its family or its natural habitat, but, like,
Starting point is 00:58:02 if it wanted to come in and, like, hang by the fire for a minute, especially in the winter, that'd be cool. Hang by the fire? Yeah, like, of the fire, like, I build a fire and they come warm up. She wants to be snow white. What's wrong with you? She's like, how do I make this exact scenario where deer have human characteristics and enjoy a fire and watching a Netflix movie?
Starting point is 00:58:21 Well, Eddie said what's rolled up at night with him to sleep, so why wouldn't one curl up by the fire? Because you didn't have the deer from baby. This was a baby. Yeah, babies come to my yard. With their parents. With their moms. And then you don't spend time raising them. Okay, so what I need to do is find a little.
Starting point is 00:58:37 What you need to do is move off this. Not worry about having a deer in your house. I mean, you should try. Whatever, I'm going to make it happen. I mean, the right. Amy's going to be the story. Yes, that's what I'm saying. Then dad's going to come hunting for the baby.
Starting point is 00:58:49 Going to walk in on Amy and the baby. No, obviously I need it to be. She died doing what she was loved. Bonerable. lunchbox Are you ready for the Winter Olympics? Who's ready? We kind of suck at Winter Olympics,
Starting point is 00:59:01 not my favorite. America kind of sucks because we don't have as much winter as like Switzerland. We're not good at. We have things we're good at, but we never win the whole medal count. Dude, Nancy Kerrigan, she was awesome.
Starting point is 00:59:13 She didn't even win the goal. She never did it. I don't know. Krista Yamaguchi. Yeah, that's her name. Yeah, go ahead. Yeah, well, they lit the flame yesterday. The torch started in green.
Starting point is 00:59:24 and it is making its way to Italy. They lit it yesterday, and now the journey is on its way, and it will be the cauldron will be lit in February for the Winter Olympics. I like it. Where is that again? Germany? It's going to be in Italy, but they start it in Greece, and they have to make the path all the way.
Starting point is 00:59:40 Did you say the word Germany at all? No. Journey? I said journey. It's making the journey. That's it. I think that's pretty cool that they take it the whole way. They do that every Olympics.
Starting point is 00:59:52 I've seen it run by. What? Like you're just driving? It went through national? You're at the grocery store and I was in France. And we saw it come by. That's cool. I was at work.
Starting point is 01:00:05 Yeah. Was the Summer Olympics like two years ago or something? Yeah, that's about right because it's every. And where was the Summer Olympics? I was in Paris. Okay. I saw the freaking thing run by. It was a big deal.
Starting point is 01:00:15 The cops like blocked the street and everything. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know, dude. How do they keep that torch on? I don't know That's a great question Is it like it ever go out
Starting point is 01:00:26 Yeah they're like propane tank in there I think before it has gone out But I think they also keep multiple flames going So if one goes out The Olympic Spirit isn't dead Oh like a candle Well yeah multiple So if one goes out
Starting point is 01:00:37 It's not like the Olympic spirit's dead The US Let's see How do we do in the last winter games I think we'd do pretty good man Like Norway was first If we're getting beat by Norway It's something
Starting point is 01:00:48 It ain't for us It's always cold over there though Yeah and they're small We did finish It looks like second, but second's eighth. That comes to Olympics. Norway top the medal table. 37 total 16 golds,
Starting point is 01:01:03 followed by Germany with 27 medals and the United States 25. Yeah, it ain't for us. We don't have enough winter. We don't have enough land that's cold all the time. They live in cold. But I mean, some of those competitions are really cool. Like when they're on skis and they're going,
Starting point is 01:01:16 and then they have the guns, they have to stop and shoot things. You like those? You like the cross country? It's like, I have no idea what they're doing. Like, what is the purpose? of that, but I do enjoy it. The curling's awesome. No.
Starting point is 01:01:29 It's funny. It's funny for like a minute and a half. Yeah, that's what I was going to say. The curling is fun for about a minute and a half and then you're bored with it. It was cool. Like when we first exploded like 10, 15 years ago and we're like, oh my gosh, this is so crazy. Now it's just like, okay, it's kind of annoying.
Starting point is 01:01:44 Are you saying? Have you all ever done the curling here? I've been to the place to drink some beers, but never done the curling. Yeah. When people post about it, it looks fun, but I've never gone. I went curling and it was hard. It seems cold. It's so hard.
Starting point is 01:01:56 That's nice, right? I hate cold. I hate cold so much. Does Scott Hamilton still do the announcing for that? For curling? No, for figure skating. I don't know. Great question.
Starting point is 01:02:09 What I know that. What do you mean? What a random question. Well, we just talked to him like two weeks ago. I know, but I don't know who the announcers are. I mean, he still has done things in the past. I know for the Olympics. I'm not going to hate on you for the question.
Starting point is 01:02:20 He was the voice of like figure skating. Forever. I didn't realize that. Yeah, Scott Hamilton still announces in a scheduled to broadcast of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan. Awesome. Hey, not a dumb question. I just, I know you're asking the person who is dumb. What's going to be cool is when we're watching, I get to tell my son, like, look, that's the guy that you met.
Starting point is 01:02:39 Oh, yeah, he was in the green room. All right, we're done. We will not be here tomorrow. We will have some. Do you sure you don't want to come in for a little bit? I'm in. We will have some new content up tomorrow on the feed. We will have some new content.
