Owning a home comes with a lot of things nobody really prepares you for, including yard care. Sunday is a company trying to make that part easier. They start with a soil test and climate data to build a yard plan tailor to where you live, then ship everything directly to your door. no guesswork, no dragging bags of fertilizer. And instead of harsh chemicals, Sunday uses simple nutrient dense ingredients like seaweed, molasses, and iron.
Starting point is 00:02:09 Everything hooks up to a hose, which honestly sounds like my speed. If your yard feels more stressful than satisfying, Sunday's approach makes a lot of sense. Go to get sunday.com to get your free custom yard analysis. That's get sunday.com. You're listening to a podcast, so you're doing something. else too. Like maybe scrolling home listings on Redfin saving places you like without thinking
Starting point is 00:02:34 you'll get them because that's what house hunting has become. But Redfin isn't built for endless browsing. It's built to help you find and own a home. Redfin agents close twice as many deals as other agents, which means when you find a place you love, you got a real shot of getting it. Redfin helps
Starting point is 00:02:50 turn saved listings into real addresses. Get started at redfin.com. Own the dream. All right. The Bobby Bones post-show pre-show. All right. Today's show's show's over. So we hang out after the show and just kind of catch up. And if we have anything we want to add or stuff we didn't get to.
Starting point is 00:03:10 I did not get to the meth gator story where people are flushing meth down the toilet. And they're going, don't do that because these gators in, I think it's like Louisiana in some of these places, they're like these gators are turning into meth gators and they're out of their mind. Oh, because they're consuming. Yeah. They consume sewer waste. Yeah, and in Tennessee, too. They're going, hey, don't flush meth.
Starting point is 00:03:32 If you find meth, if you have meth, if you have meth, you want to get rid of it, just call us. Well, take it. Don't flush it, though. Is that a trap, though? I don't know. I wouldn't call. I wouldn't either. I'd flush and just leave it to the gators to be nuts.
Starting point is 00:03:44 There was that movie that came out this weekend, too. Was it a crawl? Yeah. The alligator was... It's in a house. It's like a giant, giant gator that lives in a giant gator that lives like in a house that's flooded. Well, it's not the house that's flooded. The whole town's flooded.
Starting point is 00:03:55 The whole town, yeah. Yeah, and he's able to move around the whole. It's not just in the house. He's able to move all around the neighborhood. And so you have to get out by going through the water, but the gator is down there and he's like eating people. Oh. Are you going to watch that? No.
Starting point is 00:04:06 No. I don't even watch Stranger Things really without going, oh, God, here we go. Because I get scared at all this stuff. I haven't seen Stranger Things season three. Any of you guys? I started it. I haven't even seen season two. Just one.
Starting point is 00:04:19 I don't even remember season two. Are you sure you watched it? Yeah, I think so. Do you like three? Do you like it so? Yeah, I think three is, I mean, I just started it, so I mean, it looks interesting. I mean, I like the whole series.
Starting point is 00:04:30 I love Stranger Things series. Yeah. And two was the one with the blob. Remember, you had the pet blob? Oh, yeah. So that's kind of what it was based on. Is the blob still alive? On three?
Starting point is 00:04:41 Yeah. I haven't seen it yet. What was that other show we were watching, like, AI? She lived down and she got taken and put into like this glass. Yeah, yeah, yeah. With a bunch of other people. Yeah, what is that? And where did you go?
Starting point is 00:04:55 They came back with the season two a couple months ago. Uh-huh. And I watched half of one episode and was like, mm-hmm. Oh, gosh. There's just too much stuff. Because, I mean, I remember when that one was over, I was so disappointed. And I was like, when is it coming back? And no.
Starting point is 00:05:10 Yeah, the blonde girl, she lost, like, her vision, I think. Yeah, she lost her vision. She got abducted. She's living in a glass box. With other people. Remember in the end of the show? It was like two letters. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Mike D's looking it up over there. Oh. Let's say this. Morgan number two sent me a list of questions. Some of the listeners want to know about the new studio and setup, which by the way, I think we're streaming this too. We are. We are. So you can watch this on Facebook if you want. So we've got some new questions about our studio and setup if Bobby wants to answer them.
Starting point is 00:05:41 This all came from social media or the text line. By the way, I don't have the text line up here. Yeah. We got to fix that. That's something I didn't even think about. I don't have access to the text line right now. And I've always had the text line to be like, hey, can we get them on the phone? Yeah, so somehow.
Starting point is 00:05:55 I have all these screens up here. We have to figure that out. Question number one. Everyone is separated. Why is it separated like this? Because if we're closer, we'll all be in the same camera shot. So this is built to look like a TV studio more than it is a radio studio. And radio studios are terrible for cameras.
Starting point is 00:06:13 You're basically all sitting around a table. And so like Amy, flip over to Amy's camera real quick, Eddie. Boom. And so that's just the Amy shot. Which one is my camera? The one with a red light on it. Oh. And so if I were to.
Starting point is 00:06:25 to be sitting next to you, you'd see like my elbow in the shot. Right. So we want everybody to have their own shots. And so that's what we're separated as is. And that's what it is. Let's see. Why didn't Amy Lunchbox and Eddie get to keep their artist chairs in the studio? Great question.
Starting point is 00:06:40 They all don't sit the same level for cameras, especially these three over here on the backside. They have to sit the exact same level because the cameras are on them. It's just for visual. And then Amy's chair wasn't high enough. Yeah. No, I mean, and it looks better. I mean, this is a brand new studio.
Starting point is 00:06:54 Like everything looks so neat. and like to have, yeah, it all match. The big drama with Amy was she didn't get a pencil drawer. I wanted a pencil drawer. I still do, actually. I still think it would be handy. But I'm just going to get a little storage space. I'm going to hide by my feet.
Starting point is 00:07:08 But it'll be perfect, too, because I feel like I need a foot. Like I can put my rest, my feet on it because right now I'm just kind of hanging. You need a squatty potty for your seat. Basically. We're ironing out the kinks. But yeah. Why do you need a pencil drawer? See this pin?
Starting point is 00:07:23 Yeah, one. Well, yeah, because it's the only one I have right now, but if I had a dwarf, I can have highlighters. A dwarf. It's called the O-A. O-A. That's it. Season two came out of March.
Starting point is 00:07:35 That was a good show. It was. Question three is the audio situation with the artist fixed. We hope we had an issue with Chris Jansen yesterday. We didn't know until, listen, we didn't know what was going to happen with this whole studio. Like they had it going, but until you go live, it's not live and you really don't know. That was really the only issue that we had. So we don't know.
Starting point is 00:07:57 I think on Thursday, we're going to have an artist come in play again, and we'll see. Okay, we'll find out. And we have these lov mics, which nobody uses, but we're testing out. I was going to put Eddie over there, but you're running the cameras, right? I am running the cameras. Morgan number two, we walk over here at the lov mic and put it on your shirt, on your collar right here, and let's see if it works. Raymondo, we're going to put her in this chair here. So I'll interview Morgan number two.
Starting point is 00:08:22 So I sit down. Mike, did you want to... Oh, see, loud, annoying. Oh. Yeah, that's... Maybe we get it set. Maybe we'd have to set it up before anyone. Yeah, maybe we turn it off until they're set, Ray.
Starting point is 00:08:36 Instead of turning it way up as she's fixing it. You don't have to hide it. You don't have to hide it. Okay. Now, how are you doing today? I'm doing good. How are you? Mm-mm.
Starting point is 00:08:46 It's down. You're going to flip down. Yeah, this is just not. Hey, first of all, relax. She wants to get personally. She wants to get rid of the lobs already. All right. How you doing?
Starting point is 00:08:59 I'm doing great. How are you doing? My ears aren't the same, because I don't even wear headphones anymore. This sounds different than our mics. Yeah, she sounds tinier, maybe like a little more. Like further away. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:08 Oh, I've already had a conversation where we're putting a mic over on this chair as well, kind of like this. Yeah, it just seems like it's too far away, huh? Mm-hmm. Maybe they should hold it like this. Hello. In their hand? I'm doing pretty good.
Starting point is 00:09:20 It'd be like a Bob Barker mic. Hello. Is that better? That does sound better. Yeah. It's a good mic. It's too far, I think. Put it back on there.
Starting point is 00:09:30 Well, talk a little louder. Talk like Luke Brian. Like, he wouldn't whisper. Well, hi, I'm Luke Brian. How's it going? All she did is say, I'm Luke Brian. That's how she talked like Luke Brian. Like Blake Shelton doesn't say,
Starting point is 00:09:43 Hi, I'm Blake Shelton. Well, we will have female guests that can sit down. That might be like, hey. Yeah, and I want him to talk normally. So what did you have for dinner last night? I made a salad with cheese and walnuts and raspberry sauce. It actually is getting there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:58 Maybe it's our ears just getting used to it. Still a little quiet. But anyway, that's the deal. Okay, thank you, Morgan number two. I feel like I'm on a talk show. Like a late-night talk show. That's what I wanted to feel like more so than just have a mic in front of. Like, that's the whole point of this whole thing.
Starting point is 00:10:12 So, like our CEO messaged me last time like 10.30. It was like, hey, man, the studio freaking looks great. Now, he's seeing what we wanted to see. freaking. Yes, probably. Oh, wow. It was, there are exclamation points. Meaning he's seeing the digital feed, like with camera angles and shots. So he loved it. And I was like, dang, if he loves it, we're good to go. Ooh, this wire's hanging down is bothering me.
Starting point is 00:10:37 I got tuck that. Can you see it? Oh, yeah. No, I know you can, but you're behind the... I don't know what she's talking about. Oh. Oh. Bothers me your headphones. Oh. Wait, what? Why are you tacking me? Bobby, you didn't do anything to make that fall.
Starting point is 00:10:52 I'm not attacking you when I attacked. Why? I just want to tuck it. It's fallen. Excuse me? Okay. Morgan, are you good? Yeah. Do you want me to say? Did you turn her up, Raymondo, or no? That got louder, yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Yo, yo, I turned her down because it kind of, the lov picks up your mic. It sounds weird when you're talking, and if I have her lob up. So if I talk, it goes into her mic. Kind of. Interesting. Well, listen, working progress. still. What would I like to say, Morgan, number two? What are you promoting today? You know, just thank you for the opportunity to be on this show. It feels really great in this new
Starting point is 00:11:28 studio. That sounds pretty good. Yeah. I like it. Yeah. I do feel like I'm being watched by you guys. I feel like it's like a private concert almost too. For you? Yeah, well, not really for me because I clearly can't sing. But yeah. Remember when she came in? I thought she could sing. Yeah, well, she's always wanted to sing. Yeah. She's always wanted to sing. Yeah. All right. Thank you, Morgan number two. Yeah, you're welcome. All right, cool. There she goes. Takes her a mic off. Did you get her on camera over there, Eddie?
Starting point is 00:11:53 I did. All right, cool. Yeah, those are just some questions about that. Just rolling through. I guess, I think that's it. Anybody have anything they want to say? Amy? I'm done talking.
Starting point is 00:12:06 Me too, man. No, I mean, I'll all say things, but I say something and you get mad at me. Nobody got mad. What's wrong with you two? No, with that and that. Two things in a row. She becomes a victim of Merrill.
Starting point is 00:12:18 She's like, I don't want to talk anymore. Yeah, I have nothing to say. I can't say anything right around here. Two things. Head chopped off. What was the first thing you said? I said something about, oh, that mic should probably go.
Starting point is 00:12:30 And you're like, you're like personally offended. No, actually what I said is we just put in, we're putting in another mic already. Okay, but you got irritated that I was like, that doesn't sound good. I get irritated because we just talked about off the ear how we're putting in another mic already. And I wasn't even irritated.
Starting point is 00:12:44 Okay, now you're irritated. Now I'm irritated that you're irritated. Oh my gosh. Guys just get out of here. You should just go. I'm so tired. I didn't sleep last night because my dog. I'm not tired.
Starting point is 00:12:55 Amy does this thing though when she's cranky or her voice is up a level. Like she comes in in a different key. Do you know this? I can always tell when Amy you're like irritated and trying to hide it because everything that she's, you're not today. Everything that she reads or has a conversation.
Starting point is 00:13:11 She kind of talks up a little higher. You try to overcompensate for the fact that you're irritated at me or the rest of the show. Yeah. Kind of funny. Me, I just get talking. I'm out. All right, I think that's it.
Starting point is 00:13:25 How do we feel, everybody? Feel good. Good. Yeah, all right. Good. We just have to, like, the camera thing, I've gotten too many messages where, like, they're like, you look so,
Starting point is 00:13:39 I don't know what I look like, but I'm like, this is just how I look. Amy mentioned something yesterday where she's like, I'm just not used to, like, caring about some camera looking at me the whole time. And it's like, it's a good point. Like, we're not. We usually are, like, if I need you to say something like Bobby,
Starting point is 00:13:56 I got something to say. Like, and you don't want to do that on camera, so it's different. But you do on camera. If you really need to say something. Oh, well, I'm just talking about my, just how I am, like, during the show. And I was like, a toy who works our front desk, she came in and she was just like,
Starting point is 00:14:09 Amy, you look like something's wrong with you. And I'm like, well, that's how I've looked for the last 13 years during the show. But, like, I don't know how to change it. So then it's awkward because I'm having the beat. So now I'm like, well, I don't want to come across. Like, I don't know. I don't know what she was implying that I look like,
Starting point is 00:14:25 but basically that I didn't look happy. But I am. And so I was like, I don't want to come across that way. So now I feel like I'm awkwardly sitting here in my little desk, like looking back and forth to you guys, the whole show while you're talking. The best thing to do is watch your own videos. And you'll see what people are talking about and how to improve it. I don't even, honestly, I haven't watched you yet.
Starting point is 00:14:42 I don't even know how to go. It's on Facebook. Yeah, it's everywhere. It's everywhere. It's a simple question, but Morgan number two, Eddie. I know. I guess I also am like sometimes you just don't want to see it because I'm like, what are people talking about?
Starting point is 00:14:55 I don't want to feel like, but that's just my, just in my face. Well, it's only day two of the studio. Yeah, we have to get used to it. Yeah. I think that's it. Okay. What was that? What was that? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:15:08 Is it okay. She's on our computer over there. I'm trying to look up this, what we're doing here. Live stream. You can watch it, not live too. Okay. Just go to the Facebook page and scroll through it.
Starting point is 00:15:19 Gosh. Oh my God. Amy, you can't even concentrate. on just us right now. You imagine watching the live stream at the same time? I'm not going to watch it during, I'm not allowed to be on my computer during the show, which I haven't been. We're proud of you. Thank you. Day two. All right. Here is today's show. It's Tuesday, July 16th. Dang, the Get Up Challenge has 6.1 million views. Oh, me and Kaylee Hammack? Yeah. Is that viral lunchbox? 6.1 million? No, not really. Still I haven't seen it anywhere.
Starting point is 00:15:47 I don't know. One million? That's a lot. No, show me anywhere news stations are covering it. That's viral. That's just getting a lot of views. Okay. That's what viral is, getting a lot of views. No. Not being on the, who watches the news? I watch the internet more than I watch the news. Six point, I think about 10 million is super viral.
Starting point is 00:16:08 Anything over a million, I think, is, yeah. Like if you hit a million, is our biggest video? Yeah, it is. Ever? Yeah. And it's definitely, it's viral. Here we are. Oh, Amy's watching us. I found us.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Amy, I just put you up. I found us live on Facebook. It's going to be delayed, though, huh? Yeah, by just like five seconds. What do you think about that look? Right now, Bobby, you look like, you're like doing a, I know we keep talking late night talk show hosts, but I'm seeing like major news network show. Like you're about to deliver all the news. Do you see yourself now?
Starting point is 00:16:43 Yeah, I see Mike D giving Bobby paper. When did he do that? Oh, there I am. I should flip my hair. Which ways? Wait, Mike did he give me my paper? That might be an old video. No, this is earlier.
Starting point is 00:16:55 Give me the 08. Oh, okay, okay. Okay. Now I see what it looks like. Can we just not put the camera on me? Oh, my gosh. Everybody's got to level up. All right.

Starting point is 00:21:44 So I wake up, like, oh, you know, bud. And I take, first my allergy pill. And it's tiny. And it's so hard to swallow because it's so small. So take it, swallow it. Because I have allergies like crazy. Like 11 things I'm allergic to. Then I take my nasal spray in one nose, in the other nose.
Starting point is 00:22:05 I'm like, great. And then I take a sublingual allergy pill. And they're all for different things. And then I put it underneath my tongue and it dissolves. And then I go over and I take my Duralax. What's that for? I feel like my dad takes that. That stomach is like I hurt my butt.
Starting point is 00:22:21 Okay. And so I have to take Duralex. I hurt my butt riding my bike. Mm-hmm. And so I have a butt injury. So I need Duralax. And then I take another like Murelex. All the laxes I'm taking, guys.
Starting point is 00:22:32 Oh, boy. I put in my water, which I have here. So so far, we're at five things I've taken so far. Then I have to take my fiber. And I take that, Metamusel. And then I'm taking a probiotic. Well, you take Dyr, what is it, Durelex, Merrillex, and fiber? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:22:48 Isn't that all like... Yeah, it's all poop related. It's my stomach. I feel like there's a lot happening. Okay. Yeah. Then I take my probiotic. That's good.
Starting point is 00:22:57 More gut health. I take seven things every morning. It's just... First thing I do is I have to take all these pills. Like I'm 100 years old. It's like coming here this morning. I know. And then I try to drink a full bottle of water before I even start the show.
Starting point is 00:23:10 And not like when people take the big bottle and go, I'm going to do the water challenge. Everyone Eddie came in and had that humongous bottle. Jug. He's like, every day I'm going to drink the jug. And I did. I don't think you did Two weeks No everybody else would drink it for you
Starting point is 00:23:24 And you'd be like wow Well I would share if people wanted water And be like here have some of mine I have plenty Because it helped you feel better That's my entire whole Like routine in the morning
Starting point is 00:23:35 I wake up I haven't have a pillbox Now I haven't committed to it yet But it says M T-W-T-R-F-S and S-N Yeah You need to do that for when you job You're still single?
Starting point is 00:23:48 Yeah, still single. But the good thing I'm being single is, which by the way, I just I just don't expect there's anybody for me at this point. That's kind of the conclusion I've come to. Yeah, I'm back to it.
Starting point is 00:24:00 I just feel like I'm too much too. Like, I'm in my own way. I'm 39. I have my own ways. I ain't trying to meet anybody's parents. Wait, like a few months ago you were getting married later this year. Like you were going to meet the one,
Starting point is 00:24:11 get the dog purse, then the girl, and now it's like, now that... Here's the reason I wish I had a girlfriend right now is because she could take the dog. out at least once a night. I'm waking every four hours take the dog out. That's why he wants a girlfriend. Yes, that's why. I know and I'm taking it out. I'm taking care of it. Other than that, I'm kind of like, ugh, I'm good. I get to watch my own TV shows. So, what? You would still watch
Starting point is 00:24:36 your own TV shows even if you had a girlfriend. I know, probably. Did you watch Chernobyl ever? No. Not yet. Anybody in here watch Chernobyl? No, no, no. You said it was really bad. It's true. I know. And it's how the world almost came to an end. And And so, Chernobyl, the nuclear power plant disaster. There's a whole series on HBO. It's six episodes. And it kind of documents that whole story. As done with actors, not a documentary.
Starting point is 00:25:02 Oh, okay. Like a reenactment? And where was it, HBO? It's just like they wrote a script based on all the true events. Yeah. But now they're making it a tourist attraction. Oh, I don't. Isn't there still.
Starting point is 00:25:12 Yes. For 10,000 years, there's going to be. Right. Whatever it is, radioactive. Yes, falling on you. Yeah. It's like you're basically. walking into a microwave.
Starting point is 00:25:20 The Ukrainian president signed a decree to designate the area a tourist site after he saw an increase in visitors following the release of Trinople on HBO. That's not why you make it safe. You make it safe because it's deemed safe. Not because people are watching on HBO. So they're doing all kinds of stuff. Bus trips. They are going into the abandoned villages. You can even go near the main explosion.
Starting point is 00:25:45 Is it like go at your own risk? Do you have to sign anything? No, there's no way to sign it. to. You just get on a bus and go. And you don't know immediately. You just die earlier. Oh. It's like if you go on a gang tour, you just never know what you're going to get. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:58 True. I wanted to do those, but the more people talk to me about it, it's just not right. I shouldn't support. I don't want to support gangs, but if you go on the tour, it's sort of in a way supporting gangs. They get a cut? I think they do. Yeah. By the way, Chernobyl's 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. So it's good. Heavy. And you learn a lot. Okay. I've got it
Starting point is 00:26:16 on my list now. Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day. So you lost your ID when you're in Colorado? I did. Yeah, we went out to dinner and I had it at my pocket. And somehow between dinner and then walking back to my sister's house, I lost it. I searched all over the place called the police department. Went back to the restaurant because normally my stuff pops back up.
Starting point is 00:26:36 Oh, you'll still get it back. Yeah, yeah. Does anyone have a doubt the name he's going to get right to you back? No. And so then I was like, well, shoot, we have to fly, you know? Like we flew here, so we got to fly home. and I have no ID. So I start, you know, Googling TSA rules, protocol, what happens?
Starting point is 00:26:53 Like, call people. I call American Airlines. They're like, okay, as long as you get through us, we should probably be able to give you a boarding pass, but we can't tell you over the phone. Like, the airport person's going to have to decide that. Whoever's working the ticket counter. So the whole way to the airport, I'm like,
Starting point is 00:27:07 please ticket counter person be nice. Please be nice. So I have a carry-on bag that I wasn't checking because you have to, an American, you have to pay for each bag that you check. So I was like, I'm not paying extra. So they told me that I would likely get searched thoroughly, like all my stuff. I'm like, okay, so I was prepared when I packed.
Starting point is 00:27:25 And I put, you know, there's listen. We have listeners in Colorado sometimes. I mean, we have, you know, what if the TSA person's a listener? So I put pimping joy shirts on top and choose joy, like all the things I put like, oh, I have a Starstripes Freedom America shirt that I was like, I'm, you know, I'm not a terrorist. Like I love America. I'm not going to do anything bad.
Starting point is 00:27:45 Oh, you went heavy on the America. I'm heavy on joy in America. And so that when they unpacked my stuff, it would be like, oh, she's, yeah. Did you like hide your underwear and other bags? Yeah, I sure, yeah, I was like, oh, I don't want them going through all that because I knew they were going to go through everything. So anyway, American lets me through. They give me a boarding pass. But then I have to go through TSA.
Starting point is 00:28:04 And they're like, ooh, the guy working is like, Jimmy? I don't know. She doesn't have a license. I said, but sir, I have a boarding pass. Obviously, American trusts me. Like, I have a boarding pass. So I should be able to go through. and he's like, oh, so he's like, how many credit cards do you have?
Starting point is 00:28:19 So I bust out like my debit card and my credit card with my names on it. He's like, do you have any other form of government ID with your face on it? And I was like, no, but my husband did serve in the Air Force for 12 years. And I used to have a military ID. Oh, you hit him what they used to. But I mean, I was trying to be like, we love America, you know. I'm not going to do anything crazy. So then finally, after he calls Jimmy over, Jimmy inspects my wallet and all.
Starting point is 00:28:46 my things and Ben doesn't want my husband. He's not anywhere near me because we have two Haitian children. Because he's embarrassed that you're singing Lady Greenwood in the line so you can get through. Well, first of all, he, yeah, he's annoyed that I lost my license and then I have no other form of identification. He's like, I can't believe you don't carry extra identification with you. So then, oh, I have a picture of my driver's license because when I was trying to get verified on Instagram, they want you to send a photo ID of your, so then I'm scrolling through all my photos and I'm like, hold on, I know it's here somewhere. And then I find the picture. I'm like, this is my driver's license.
Starting point is 00:29:17 It's a photo. I needed it for Instagram. And he's like, what? Jimmy. So then, it was just a hot mess. But the reason why my husband didn't want to be with me is because we've got two Haitian children that don't have identification and they don't have passports yet. We're still working on that.
Starting point is 00:29:32 But they're not, they officially just became U.S. citizens like recently. But he didn't want there to be any question of like who they were and if they were our kids. Because his biggest fear is one day, because they ask you before you're about to fly with our kids. Are these your parents? And they say yes, but we thought, I mean, Stashear tries to be funny sometimes. And she might be like, nope. I don't know these people. So Ben is like, you know, not even near me.
Starting point is 00:29:58 Strategically. Strategically, he and my children. Not embarrassingly. Yeah, but strategically, they're watching from afar like, oh, I hope mom gets on the plane. And then finally, the TSA guy lets me through, but I have to go through to this special back place where, like, I don't know, airport prison. where you think, like, I don't know if I'm going to make it out of here, depending on what they find in my bag. And a female officer had to come over because she had to touch me everywhere.
Starting point is 00:30:22 What? Oh, yeah? Everywhere. And she, but before she did it, she was very like, she's like, I'm about to touch you here. Are you okay with that? And I'm like, well, I guess I have to be. And then I cleared. He opened up my bag, though, and I was so excited when I was like, Pimp and Joy.
Starting point is 00:30:38 And he didn't know what it was. And you obviously got home. He wasn't a listener. Jimmy didn't listen to the show. He didn't care what was in my bag. bag, but I got through and I boarded the flight and I made it home without a driver's license. What is your advice to our listeners then? Be nice.
Starting point is 00:30:50 Okay. Try to think of anything you have with your name on it. You know, put fun things in your luggage. I should have had some good snacks. And I should have like, you can have those, all yours. But I mean, I think just like being honest and being kind and like not irritated, there is a protocol they have to go through. And some of it, yes, was frustrating.
Starting point is 00:31:11 But you're the one that doesn't have your license. So keep calm, be nice, and they'll likely let you through. There you have it. I think that's the key to life 99% of the time. Just be nice to folks. People like to help people that they like. So, well, good for you. I'm glad Jimmy put you through.
Starting point is 00:31:28 Yeah, I was like, have you lost weight? You did not. Jimmy's like, man, I ain't never seen you. Actually, I just ate five pizzas before a game. The Bobby Bones Show. Big Three Stories. Let's go over to our producer, Ramundo. Ramundo, what you got over there?
Starting point is 00:31:43 In California, 11 people were injured when a large section of roof caved in at Lucky Lady Casino. It looked like air conditioners fell through the roof. In other news, Tropical Depression, Barry continues to bring flooding and tons of rain. Some places could see 8 inches of rain, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, and Mississippi. And finally, they're still investigating that massive blackout in New York City over the weekend. They've ruled out a cyber attack. These passengers, they sit beside each other. They don't know each other on this floor.
Starting point is 00:32:13 And they started a super heavy turbulence. And so they start holding hands. And they end up getting together. No way. That's awesome. And that's like exactly. You want to meet someone on an airplane. See?
Starting point is 00:32:24 I know. Don't give up. The couple was seated next to each other. Heavy turbulence. They started holding hands. They continued to hang out post flight. And then people started watching their Facebook and they changed their status to show they're a couple now.
Starting point is 00:32:38 Wow. That's a movie. Yeah. Like, you make the flight a little more turbulent. Yeah. Like, it's going to crash. Yeah. And then their story together.
Starting point is 00:32:49 They realized they were both traveling to the same place, kept talking. The plane started swaying. It scared them. They grabbed hands. I'm going to tell you. Like, I fly in a southwest, you get to pick your seats. Nobody ever sits by me. If there's one empty seat on the plane, it's always a seat next to me.
Starting point is 00:33:02 What is it about me that makes people not want to sit by me? I don't know. That's interesting. Because, I mean, I would sit by you, you look nice. Don't I? I think I look nice. Like, trust me, there is a lot. lot of different people you can sit next to you, I would want to sit next to you.
Starting point is 00:33:16 That seat, that middle seat is always open whenever I fly. And sometimes, like, a pretty girl come behind, I'd be like, oh. And sometimes I'll be like, you know, look at the seat. Hey, you sit over here. Nothing. Okay, well. I shouldn't do that. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:33:32 That's weird if you're like trying to get her to sit there. Well, I don't do that. Oh. I thought you just said you kind of motion. I do like the secret. Oh, you try to channel it. Yeah, yeah. The seats open next to me.
Starting point is 00:33:43 Please sit, please sit. But nobody ever sits in the seat next to me. Yeah, so you're going to hear the saxophone version of a song. you just got to name the title.
Starting point is 00:37:37 Country song? Or normal song? They're all country songs, yeah. I do not have the clips in front of me. Okay. Oh, you're playing? I'm going to play this one. Okay.
Starting point is 00:37:44 So, Redmondo is going to play a song. A country song played on saxophone. We have to guess the country song. All right, how long do we have, like 20 seconds with each one? Sure. Okay, here we go. Song number one, write it down, everybody. Did you need to listen to the whole thing to get it, or how?
Starting point is 00:38:19 I'm in. Why did you know it? I'm in for the first. I know it okay. It wasn't super easy, but I got it. The first toot. I have a head over boots from John Party. Amy?
Starting point is 00:38:29 Head over boots. There you go. Good, too. Lights box? I am the rock to your role. Yeah? Oh, that's your answer. That's a lyric.
Starting point is 00:38:37 Yeah, I mean, that's all. I knew it. Eddie? Head over boots. There you go. Look at us. Song number two, Ramundo. You know what?
Starting point is 00:39:27 Not even close. I'm in for the win. What song is that on saxophone? I have Kenny Chesna, you and tequila. Now I hear it. And one more is never enough. Amy? Automatic.
Starting point is 00:39:39 Oh, Randallembert. Remando, am I right? Thank you. Lunch back? Man, I just got tequila on that part. Oh, you didn't get the... No, I didn't got tequila. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:39:48 You and tequila. Oh. Come on, bud. Come on, bud. I think you got that one before I did, Eddie. I got pretty quick. How come this is so fun? I've missed on all this fun for years.
Starting point is 00:40:01 Yeah, you do miss out on this. Okay. All right, Ramondo, one more? It's the last one, by the way. I think you got me on that one. I do have this one. Amy? Do you have an answer?
Starting point is 00:40:37 Luke Bryan. I don't want this night to end. But did you have that written down? No. Oh, no. Is that it? Lunchbox. How's it been?
Starting point is 00:40:46 Raise your cup up. Eddie? My kind of party. Oh, no. It's not. Amy got to it eventually. It's Luke Brian. I don't want this night to end, right?
Starting point is 00:40:57 You got your hand. Is that a title? Remmond, what's the title title? I don't want this night to end. There you go. Dang. King Dingling. I'm back, boys.
Starting point is 00:41:10 I don't even have a winning song. Dang, I feel like a big fish in a small pond now. Now the king's in there, yeah. Let you do one more. Listen, I'm the winner, but let's do one more just for fun. Name it on saxophone. Don't you want to stay? Jason now that you need Kelly Clarkson.
Starting point is 00:41:29 Oh, yeah. Alright, here we go Alright Got it Pete Irvin, blue Okay, well Oh, Blue's your color
Starting point is 00:41:37 What? What? What? What? This is a exhibition At my speed Let's do one more
Starting point is 00:41:45 I'm sorry I got a lot excited All right Give it one more Rainbow Do Got it Yeah, I got it
Starting point is 00:41:56 Oh I'm in Okay Everybody said The artist On the count of three One two three Calls one down
Starting point is 00:42:08 Oh Lunchbox Cheated You weigh then lunch? No, no, I even said the wrong artist. Who did you say, Luke Ryan? You know what the song is Eddie?
Starting point is 00:42:17 Yeah, everyone else. You should be here. Oh, I'm going to drink a beer. There you go. Hey, good run, Eddie. Thank you, man. I got three, Eddie got two, Amy got one, lunchbox got zero. Better like next time.
Starting point is 00:42:31 But I got tequila. Yeah, you got half of one song. You got 0.5. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Get out of something good. So there's a private in the Army. and she lost her ear in a car accident.
Starting point is 00:42:46 So doctors were like, hmm, how can we figure this out? Well, they found a way to recreate her ear. They took cartilage from her ribs, and then under the skin of her arm, they grew her a new ear. Yeah, I'm looking at it now. Yeah, like right there on her arm, it's like an ear growing out. So then they were able to transplant it onto her head where her old ear was, and now she has a new non-artificial ear.
Starting point is 00:43:11 Like, it's not a fake ear. Not a 3D printed ear, not a robo ear I mean, they grew it A roboe? A robo, like a roboe. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Isn't that crazy? Yeah, it's crazy because they literally grew her ear on her arm.
Starting point is 00:43:26 But what's cool too about the story is not only has technology allowed us to grow this body part, but in the crash she didn't lose her hearing. The ability to hear from the internal part of her ear and ear drum. Yeah. So they just put it on the side. That's crazy. I'm looking at it. We'll put it up on our Facebook page.
Starting point is 00:43:41 How else can they grow? Oh. I'm like another one of those. They're going to grow me another one of those. All right, is that it? Yeah, maybe. That's my good news. That was Tell Me Something Good.
Starting point is 00:43:56 Bobid Bones Show. Bonehead. This story comes with us from Dixon, Illinois. A 49-year-old woman bought a brand new inflatable pool, had no way to blow it up. Tries to a friend's house, blows it up, and it's like, man, I have no way to get this back home. Sticks it on the roof of her SUV. grabs two 16 year old says sit in the pool while I drive home so it doesn't fly away. Driving down the road, police see her with two kids, inflatable pool on top of the car.
Starting point is 00:44:23 Woo! And she got charged with child endangerment. Oh, yeah. Which she should have been. However, I will say that if they're 16, they're old enough to know better than to get on a car. Yeah, but I mean, if your mom's giving you permission to do it, you're probably like, okay. But no, if you're 16, you're basically an adult. Think of you at 16.
Starting point is 00:44:43 You're not looking for your mom you're not for permission to do things. Yeah. So, yeah, she should have got in trouble, but they're also dumb too. I think the kids should also be lumped into this bonehead story of the day. Yeah, they are kind of dumb.
Starting point is 00:44:54 But as a 16-year-old, you would think it's cool to ride on top of a car. You would do it. If your mom was like... If my mom and dad said, get on top of the car on that pole, I'd be like, yeah! But if you're 16, you'd already done it by yourself,
Starting point is 00:45:04 you wanted to do it. Like, if you thought it was that cool, you would just do it. Go faster, go faster. No, you're 16. I don't think that's what you do with your mom. Bobby, you were way more mature at 16 than we were. You had to be.
Starting point is 00:45:14 I don't think so. All right, lunchbox. I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby bones. Our audio producer, Ramundo, went to Hawaii over his vacation. He took his girlfriend. You guys went and spent a week there, huh?
Starting point is 00:45:37 Yeah, we were there seven days, seven nights. Man, you can't do any better than that. Hawaii, baby? First time? Yeah, absolutely. Did you consider proposing? Yeah, it was thrown around. there were a lot of waterfalls I knew we were going to be visiting, very romantic roads.
Starting point is 00:45:51 You got the palm trees, you got the ocean, the Pacific. I mean, how much better can it get than that? Lou-Ows. Of course I considered proposing, but just ended up not doing it. You have a ring? I don't, but a lot of people have been helping me look for one. No, some people have been saying you can do it budget style. You can go to a pawn shop and you can actually get some very, very nice rings at a pawn shop.
Starting point is 00:46:11 Then we've also had people in the industry say, hey, I can hook you up great deal, bar none the best in the industry. There's all these options. I have tons. Yeah, you have tons with me. Like, I literally am the spokesperson for a great place to get a ring. Well, then that's hookup right there. Well, just let me know when you're ready. But you weren't ready in Hawaii.
Starting point is 00:46:28 And you guys were celebrating an anniversary for her. Yes, it was a one-year anniversary. She beat cancer and just absolutely dominated it. She's cancer-free now for a year. So the trip was awesome? Oh, absolute blast. Talk about views that will take your breath away. That's really the only way I can put it.
Starting point is 00:46:43 So, whenever, were you on the plane there on the way back when you got to almost got the fight with the guy. That was on the way there. So what happened? It was a pretty rough start to the trip. I ended up putting my carry-on above another guy's seat. I had no room above mine. Where am I supposed to put the carry-on?
Starting point is 00:46:58 So this 60-year-old dude in Hawaiian shirt grabs my carry-on bag and sets it on the floor. He took it from the bin. What? You can't do that. And so then my girl goes, well, that's rude. What are you doing? And so it got a little awkward. And I go, sir, I'm going to give you five seconds to put that bag back in the bin.
Starting point is 00:47:13 And he goes, no, you can go put it somewhere else. So then I caved in, I go five, four, three, two, one, and then I just went to the front and put it in another bin. But then for eight hours, we had to sit next to this guy who threw my bag on the ground. What do you mean sitting next to him? Where were you sitting as compared to him? Across the aisle. I was two feet from the guy for eight hours. Did he already have his bag up somewhere? No, it was an empty bin. I didn't know you were entitled to the bin above your seat. You're not. Thank you. That was my, that was what I said.
Starting point is 00:47:43 I love that you counted to five. And then did nothing. And they just moved your back. Well, I kind of happened. I was with my chick, and we had an audience. There were people with some phones out. Because the dude threw my bag, and it was a loud thump. And so then, obviously, people are going to start to think, man, these guys are about to fight.
Starting point is 00:47:59 I would pull out on my phone. Yeah. How weird of him, though, to take your bag out and put it on the ground? And did it stay empty the whole time? No, he put his bag in that bin then. He coming after you? Yeah. Is that why?
Starting point is 00:48:10 Yeah. Well, and then our flight got delayed, so we all had to take our bags out of the bins anyways. So we went back in the air. airport. We de-plained. What? So then I'm like, hey, man, how great did you feel about throwing my bag on the ground? Because you now had to take your bag out of the same bin. Take that. What do you say? I mean, nothing. You got to 10? Our, our jokes weren't good. Like, we were fighting ugly.
Starting point is 00:48:30 Yeah, that's weird. Did your girl feel that you were less manly because you threatened him to a fight that ran away? She told me. She goes, you need to throw his bag on the ground, but I wasn't going to do that. I'm glad you didn't. Well, I'm trying to lose my flight to Hawaii. Yeah. Exactly. jerk, though. Like, you don't own the thing above you. It's It's It's
Starting point is 00:48:49 It's Public domain Yeah, open Common courtesy is You don't take your bag and put it early on the flight, like earlier than where you're sitting. Oh, is that right? Yeah, but if it's the only spot, then you end up taking it. But if you're equal, you take this, take the spot.
Starting point is 00:49:03 There's no rule. Yeah, it was your name on it? It was American. So it's a normal airline. It was a big plane, too. Tons of room for bags. That's weird. But the trip was awesome.
Starting point is 00:49:12 Blast. And her dad paid for a majority of it. of it. Really? Did you pay for any of it? I paid for the Jeep's gas. So you rented a Jeep and you only paid for the Jeep's gas? Yeah. The whole trip. And then we had one meal that was at Mama's house. I think Mama's Fish House, very expensive, a couple hundred. I had to do that one. Yeah. Other than that, we were good. Wow. Well, look at you. And you guys have been together for how long? Six years now. Is she like, hey, propose? She asked me, is it coming? Are we closer? And I tell her, obviously, we're very close. Before the summer's over, you think? Yes. Okay. Summer of love, baby.
Starting point is 00:49:44 Wow. So wow. He just confirmed this happening before the summer's over. Yeah. A deal. All right. Let us know. Let me know if you need a hookup. On the DL. I can get you on one of my people. Yeah, for sure. Hoke me up with that bling. I. I. Okay, you too.
Starting point is 00:49:58 All right. They put out the rich celebrity list like Forbes did and it's celebrities and what they made last year. Taylor Swift at number one with $185 million last year. That's a lot. Kylie Jenner at number two, Kanye three, Lionel Messi at 4. the soccer player and Ed Shearron at number five. Ed Sharon made $110 million last year.
Starting point is 00:50:20 Wow. I don't see any country guys on the list. Also making the list, J.K. Rowling, the Harry Potter writer, made $92 million last year. She was number 13. The Rock made $89 million. And even Robert Downey Jr.
Starting point is 00:50:39 was 31st at $66 million. Wow. Like, he made a ton of money. He didn't make the top 20. Wow. That's crazy. Al Dean was on that list like a couple years back, right? Of the overall, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:50:51 It's overall top 50 highest paid celebrities. Yeah, Kim Kardashian was around Robert Downey. I expect her to... Kim Kardashian made less than her sister. Oh, yeah. Kylie's killing it. She's that lip kit. On this day of country music, here we go.
Starting point is 00:51:05 Let's do this. Here we go. The Bobby Bones show. On this day in country music. 36 years ago, Alabama hit number one with the closer you get. The closer you get. Damn. It became their 10th number one song.
Starting point is 00:51:23 It got so much airplay on country radio. It then went to peak at number 38 on the top 40 charts. Here we go. I'm going faster and faster and faster with no time to stall. The song was not immediately recorded by Alabama. The Closer You Get was written by J.P. Pennington and Mark Gray, which remembers of Exile, the band. Exile. released it as the first single.
Starting point is 00:51:50 Here, that's them right there. Sounds like a slowed down version. It sounds like a drunk version of the other one. The close. Okay. Also, Don King released a version that reached number 27 in 1981. Here's that. Is the boxer promoted?
Starting point is 00:52:15 That's pretty good version. Yeah. And then the third time it came out was Alabama in 1983. And it went number one, and here it is. Alabama, the closer you get. The closer you get. It's crazy, huh? I put that song three times.
Starting point is 00:52:37 There you go. That's today in country music. That was. On this day in country music. So pottery barn has a new friends collection and it includes Rachel's apothecary table. You know the episode of Friends where she lives with Phoebe. Phoebe hates pottery barns and she acts like she found this coffee table at like a flea market. And you can buy that table? Yeah. Now you can like you get, I mean, I mean, it's just kind of cool. Pottery Barn is a whole new collection with pieces inspired by the sitcom. Accessories, furniture, tabletop items.
Starting point is 00:56:54 Which is pretty cool that this show is still inspiring companies to create. And this show, when did Friends start? 25 years ago, that's why they're doing this. In September, the show will celebrate their 25th anniversary. And so Pottery Barn is doing this limited edition collection and honor of that. And it'll be available in stores at the end of this month. What's wild about Friends is, on Netflix, it's still the number two most viewed show.
Starting point is 00:57:19 Of all the new shows, Friends are still number two. The Office is number one, Friends is number two. Crazy. I was watching it last night and just laughing out loud. When Ross is trying to hit on that pizza girl. Oh, he's trying to flirt with her when she comes to the door and he keeps messing up. I've ever seen the episode and I just could not even handle it. I was laughing.
Starting point is 00:57:38 My kids watch it. They laugh. I watched The Office and laugh out loud. And I've been through the season probably 15 times. Every episode. There's one episode I was watching last night. where Michael Scott decides to get a dating service, you know, like Match.com.
Starting point is 00:57:54 And again, this is 10 years ago, right? So it wasn't as accepted then. He's like, I'm just going to get online and do online dating. And he really wants kids. And so his screen name is little kid lover. And he's like, I just want to love people know that I love kids. And his dating screen name is a little kid lover. I laughed out loud at that.
Starting point is 00:58:13 I still think that's funny. The Ross thing I laughed at was little kids, because the pizza girl has a short haircut and she's like, I feel like I look like an eight-year-old little boy and he's like, just so you know, I love eight-year-old little boys. The Office First aired on March 24th, 2005. Wow. Also, you know.
Starting point is 00:58:35 The Office or... Oh, excuse me, Friends. Yeah, good work. Also, I think, speaking of Friends, and even the Office, it's got to be this double-edged sword where you're glad your show is still on and you're still making money. but when people see you, they got to go, wow, you look old.
Starting point is 00:58:50 Because again, it's not fair that we expect Jennifer Anderson or Courtney Cox to look like they did in 2006. I know. It's tough. Yeah. Like Joey's the one that stands out to me. For sure. I know. It's definitely so different.
Starting point is 00:59:04 Really? Just because his hair's gray? Maybe. Yeah, I guess that has a lot to do with it. Yeah. Well, good. There you have it. Jennifer Aniston was 25 years old when Friends premiered. She was born February 11th, 1969.
Starting point is 00:59:14 All right, Amy, what else you got? So, Queen Elizabeth. She won't reveal her favorite food. And the reason why is pretty funny, she said, or one of her staff members said that if she said that she had a favorite meal, she would never get served anything else because everyone would please the queen. So she won't really reveal things that she loves because people will constantly be like, and this is for you the queen, this is for you the queen. Like, do you have your favorite meal? Because I feel like if I were to ever cook you anything, I would cook chicken fried steak. That's exactly what it is.
Starting point is 00:59:42 And I eat it very rare, maybe once or twice a year. But you don't have people cooking for you all the time. like the queen, but that would be your go-to? I don't think I would like the life of the queen. Yeah? I don't think I would like the life of a royal. I think if you're born into wealth, you never appreciate wealth or just anything in general.
Starting point is 01:00:01 But would you marry into it like Megan, Markle? If I mean, how cute is he? It could be a princess, Bobby. It doesn't have to be a friend. Yeah, no. I think it's, but I mean, you could marry in and you would be, you would take on that title and have all. all those things.
Starting point is 01:00:17 That would be tough for me. That would be tough. All right, what else you got? Okay. And check this out. This chess, grandmaster chess player. He was busted for cheating because he used his cell phone when he went to the bathroom. So there was a check.
Starting point is 01:00:30 Well, that's the problem. Like look up a move? Listen, he was snapped. He was in the bathroom, on the toilet, on his phone. And someone took up. I'm just tweeting. No, no. But the rules are you can not be on your phone during an intense or any kind of tournament.
Starting point is 01:00:43 And this has been going on for a while. So there was this secret. photo of him taken in the bathroom. Why am you taking pictures of people poop? It's not cool. Because he was on his phone. That's what I'm saying. Like, you're never safe. He probably went to the bathroom and was thinking, I can just be on my phone. But someone snapped a picture, showed it to the judges, and he was disqualified from the chess tournament. I would still find that he's taking pictures of people on the toilet. He's 58 years old. You should check him to see if he has a phone before he goes in, not take a picture of him on the toilet. But then they found
Starting point is 01:01:09 the toilet, the phone hidden in the toilet. Oh. He left it in the toilet. So maybe it was in the toilet. Like he goes through the toilet. He can use it to look up. He hides it in the toilet. Yes. And how's he cheating with it? They don't know they're cheating. He just strategies. They don't stop it. He could have been on Instagram, but I think the rule is you can't be on anything digital. So he broke the rules. Yes. But it's pretty crazy that he's hiding a phone in the toilet. That's not what they do at jail. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I mean, yeah. Is it that important to check your phone? You can tell how hardcore I'm like, that's not they do at jail. I've seen it on TV. All right. Easter. There you go. No, no, no. Like they hide it. things. Like they hide the phone in toilets, their phones.
Starting point is 01:01:48 That's how you get things into jail. Yeah. Okay. I'm Amy. That's my file. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Stay home. It's something good. Three New York City cops get the call over the radio. Shoplifting in progress. Please report to the grocery store in Manhattan.
Starting point is 01:02:10 They show up and a lady explains, look, I'm down on my luck, got no money. Yes, I was trying to steal groceries. They said, listen, ma'am, we understand. We're not going to arrest you. They pulled out their wallets, combined money, and bought her groceries. Wow. Look at that. Shout out those police officers. At least you was honest too. Yeah. Like, hey, I guess to be honest with you. Couldn't afford the food. Yep. Hey, good for them. It's like when you get a ticket through many police encounters I've had myself and friends who are police officers and even getting to know a few cops. The best thing you can do
Starting point is 01:02:41 is be humble and honest when a cop pulls you over. But honestly, sometimes I don't know that I was speeding. So they say, ma'am, do you know how fast you were going? And I'm like, I have no idea. Okay, but at least that's honest, but you're not arguing. Right. You're like, I wasn't speeding. No, no. Okay. Okay. I say, I really don't know. Okay. And if I was, sorry.
Starting point is 01:03:00 My bad. I wish I wouldn't have sped. Please forgive me. Then get out of the car and put your hands on your back. And then cry. And start rolling around and do the worm. Down the highway. Yeah. Humble and honest is the way to at least hopefully not get a ticket. If you're going super fast, you probably get a ticket. anyway. But that's your tip. Yes,
Starting point is 01:03:18 Slashbox. I was going to say, when they pull Amy over and they say, do you know why I pulled you over? She has to be like, I have no idea because I do a lot of things wrong, right? Yeah, I really. She's like, I've been told her by my terrible driver, so no signal, speeding. Blinker. Did I switch lanes wrong? You know, it's a hands-free state that we're in now.
Starting point is 01:03:36 Yes, it is. Tennessee's hands-free, totally. And Amy thought she was being hands-free because she doesn't stick her phone up to her ear anymore. She puts it on speaker and holds in her hand. Yeah, yeah. Which is still in her hand. I know, I know, I know, but it was ear-free. That's one step away from hands-free.
Starting point is 01:03:53 She's getting ear-free. Yeah, I'll catch on. There you have it. Sooner or later. All right, lunchbox, thank you. There you go. That was Tell Me Something Good. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood.
Starting point is 01:04:04 Morgan No. 2nd. Brad Paisley confessed that he told Chris Lane not to propose to his girlfriend with a song. He said Chris told him how he was going to do it. And Brad straight up was like, don't do it that way. obviously Chris did it anyway. I would think that if you're a musician, it's so cliche to do it with the song unless you nail it. Now, Chris Lane nailed it.
Starting point is 01:04:27 His song was perfect. And I think Brad Paisley's advice generally was good. Like, this is what you're known for, this is what you do all the time? It would be like me bringing someone in and being like, hey, I know we're on the air right now, but will you marry me? Now, if I nailed it. But, yeah, I thought it was funny that that story came out. But I thought Chris Lane did a fantastic job at his proposal.
Starting point is 01:04:45 He had this song and then he was like, hey, and if you turn around in the song, and then she turns around and he's there proposing. Right. And he was like, yes. At her home, in her hometown, at her parents' place. In the song he said that in the song. Yes, nailed it. All right, Morgan, number two, what else? So congratulations out to Jordan Davis and his wife.
Starting point is 01:05:02 They're expecting their first baby and he said they can't wait to meet the little guy or girl later this year. And so when does the baby do? Sometime later this year? Not officially, no. They're not telling us exactly when she got pregnant. That happens a lot. People don't want to disclose exactly how many months they are. Well, what else?
Starting point is 01:05:23 And then we're getting closer to new Kelsey Ballerini music. She teased on Instagram that she's headed out to film the music video for the first single off KB3. And her only hint is her in a bright red dress with bright red knee high boots. But we don't know when the music is coming or what the album's called or anything. I think she finished the video yesterday afternoon. I'm pretty sure she did. That's all I'm going to say. Not that it matters, but I think she even tweeted that.
Starting point is 01:05:48 Yeah. So, okay, well, new Kelsey Ballerini music. I'm excited for that. All right, Morgan number two, is that it? Yep, I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. Got about three hours sleep last night. Does it?
Starting point is 01:06:00 Just because my dog, like, he's got to go to the bathroom, and I have to get up every four hours. And even then, I'm so weird about time that I'm up even before that. So I hired a dog walker to come to my house at 1 a.m. What? That exists? It does now. Okay.
Starting point is 01:06:15 Anything exists if you pay for it. All I know is I'm not getting enough sleep and I'll end up getting sick. And so I doubled the fee of a dog walker and they're going to come at 1 a.m. And so the question is not if they're going to show up, but how long until I get robbed or stabbed? Because I'm vulnerable. I'm asleep when they come in. And the dog is sleeping in your room? No.
Starting point is 01:06:36 Oh, no? Oh, I didn't know that. Okay, because I was picturing them like coming in to your room being like sneaking in, like tiptoeing, grabbing the dog, taking it. You know, wow, that's crazy. I saw you post something about that, and I was like, no way that exists. It does now. Anything exists. And, again, I have a dog.
Starting point is 01:06:55 He's about 10 weeks old, and every four hours, he has to be taken out. But, like, you need to sleep. Yeah. And for you guys' sake, I need to sleep. Yeah. I love this person that's coming over. I hope you're safe. We appreciate that.
Starting point is 01:07:09 And it's not going to happen forever, but for a couple of months. Right. She's going to come over, walk the dog at 1 a.m. Yeah, it's a she. I'm not letting a dude come in. For sure, I'll get robbed. Well, that's what I was going to say. I was like, you just upped your odds of not getting robbed. Well, and then I have to send my dog away for three weeks for training, it looks like. Which is a bit weird for me to just go, all right, take it. Did you send your dog off? Yes.
Starting point is 01:07:31 But you probably didn't love yours as much as I'm probably going to love mine. I don't know. I don't know yet. I still. I love her. Her. I just don't love her. But we're getting there. And she came back from camp. she's okay. I mean, you have to stick with it. I'm just on the road so much that if I'm going to be gone for a week, like shooting a show, I might as well put her in a camp. Yes. No, I agree. We had to do the same thing. And it was, I mean, she came back. She still wasn't potty trained, though.
Starting point is 01:08:00 She wasn't? No, but that's not really what they were teaching her. They're trying how to, like, heal and sit and I don't know. But she, we, when we rescued her, she had been literally tied up on a rope for like a year somewhere, like just, and never off the leash. she never learned how to really, I guess she just used the bathroom wherever she was right there, so she used the bathroom. So it took her a long time to break that. It was like if she was in the house, wherever she was like, got to go. She would just go. She better now? Yeah, she's better now. Thank goodness. But I thought that that's what we were sending her to camp for, but nope. Well, I'll let you know tomorrow how the 1 a.m. Dog Walker works out. I'm so curious.
Starting point is 01:08:34 Because they have a rate and I just was like, I'll double the rate if you'll come at 1 a.m. Wow, it's like the night shift. Because if I go to bed at 830, 930, 10, 30, 11, 30, 12, 13, 30, 13, 10, 13, 13, 13, That's four and a half hours. Right. They can take the dog for 30 minutes, do the walk, put it up. I'll get up again at 3.30. That's a couple hours. I'm just doing the math here.
Starting point is 01:08:55 Yeah. So. Yeah, you need it. It's fine. Yeah. You'll be fine. What if? Go ahead.
Starting point is 01:09:00 I fall in love with her. Yes. Did you already think about that? No. I knew that's where you were going, though, as soon as you said that. Oh, yeah, because I mean, she's coming over. Millenite. Anything could happen.
Starting point is 01:09:12 Are we up streaming the show live right now? Morgan, too? Yeah, we are. You can watch the show live on our Facebook page. Just go to search Bobby Bone Show. And you can watch us. We have all this new technology in the new studio. We've got the whole deal happening here.
Starting point is 01:09:26 I do want to go and take a call from Caitlin in Arkansas, which, by the way, you guys can call us if you want. Our number is 877 Bobby. Caitlin in Arkansas, how are you? Hey, good. How are you? I'm real good. Thanks for calling.
Starting point is 01:09:41 What do you want to say? Good. So I was just wanting to want to know that my birthday was this past weekend, and my mom surprised me with Braging Idiots tickets to your show in Arkansas. Oh, I was very excited. Oh, look at that. Yeah. Well, yeah, Eddie and I are going to play in Arkansas.
Starting point is 01:09:56 I think we're going to do our next live record in Little Rock, too. Yes, right. Yeah. So, well, that's awesome. We can't wait to meet you. We start our tour on Friday night. It's in Denver. Come out.
Starting point is 01:10:05 We were working last night. Which, by the way, I think today will debut a new song. The one you put up on. Yeah, it's so funny. Oh, you heard it? Oh, you saw our rough version on Instagram? Yeah, and I think it's so funny. So I'll just say what it is.
Starting point is 01:10:18 It's Old Town Road. And I kind of sang the title yesterday, but instead of, I'm going to take me down to the old town road. Take my horse. Yeah, whatever it is. All right. That doesn't matter. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's so much better.
Starting point is 01:10:30 The new one's going to be, I'm going to take me more to the old folks home. So that one comes up later on this morning. Mike D is working hard at producing it. As we speak. Right, Mike D? Yeah. All right. And this.
Starting point is 01:10:42 A Mike D. Special. And then we'll debut it live in Denver this weekend. Nice. Caitlin, thank you. Thanks for listening. We'll see you in Arkansas. That'd be fun. Thanks. You all have such a good day. Thank you. Yeah, you too.
Starting point is 01:10:55 I do want to do this. Hit me with that mailbag intro, Raymundo, because this is about bridesmaids, and I think this is good. Bobby's Mailbag. Hey, Bobby. So one of my four bridesmaids just backed out of my wedding party. She was one of my good friends from college. A great work opportunity came up that would require her to miss the wedding.
Starting point is 01:11:17 I'm not angry. I encouraged her to take the opportunity, but my problem now is that I have four groomsmen and three bridesmaids. I don't want my bridal party to be lopsided. I don't want to look like I couldn't find four friends. I've been engaged for over a year now. There are other friends I wanted to ask,
Starting point is 01:11:34 but we kept a wedding party small. Is it rude to ask someone to be an alternate bridesmaid? or should I keep it uneven. This is from Stacey. That's the whole email there. Okay, so this is different than what I thought. I thought an alternate bridesmaid was somebody like, hey, if somebody backs out, will you be one just in case?
Starting point is 01:11:51 Can I have you on standby? But what you're saying is you're asking someone to come in late. Yeah, and they're going to know. I mean, she's been engaged for a year. She probably had her bridal party for a while, three weeks away. They're going to know that, yeah. I want to go to Trish in Virginia, who's on the phone right now because Trish was a backup bridesmaid.
Starting point is 01:12:08 Hey, Trish, are you there? There she is. Trish, good morning. Welcome to the show. What do you want to say? Hey, Bobby, I'm calling about the backup bridesmaid. Yeah, what do you think? I was a backup bridesmaid 30 years ago.
Starting point is 01:12:23 My husband, we were newlyweds at the time, his best friend was getting married. I didn't know the bride to be very well, but about a week before her wedding, all the brides tried on their dresses, and one of them was pregnant and could not fit into the dress at all. So she asked me if I would be, if I would wear the dress and be an extra bridesmaid or be another one. And how did you take that? I didn't really care. I understood she wanted the even number of bridesmaids and groomsmen. And since my husband was in the wedding his best man, I figured why not.
Starting point is 01:13:01 Did you demand to be made of honor? Oh, heck no. I didn't even know her middle name at the time. So what do you say to, what do you say to Stacy who wrote this note? Well, I would say be a backup bridesmaid. It's the best thing in the world. And 30 years later, my friend, the girl whose wedding I was in as a backup bridesmaid and I are best friends. We've seen each other through a lot.
Starting point is 01:13:29 And I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world. And I can honestly tell my kids now we were in each, or I was in her wedding. There you go. I love that. So she's telling Stacey that it's okay to ask someone. Yes. Yeah. Thank you for the call.
Starting point is 01:13:42 I appreciate that, Trish. Amy, what are your thoughts on this? By the way, I love you guys so much. And Amy, I started listening to this radio station because of you, because of your ties with Haiti. Oh, wow. Yep. So love you guys so much. All right. Keep doing what you're doing.
Starting point is 01:13:58 Bye, Trish. Amy also. Give Stanley a hug. Bye. Anything else. Trish is doing encores. I like this. You all say, what?
Starting point is 01:14:07 I lost the joke now. I was going to say I also listen to the show because of you. Okay. Okay. She says yes. Amy, what are your thoughts on this? So she wasn't very close to the bride, which makes it easy to kind of be like, oh, okay. But if the bride has some people that she did want to ask, I think you have to look at your friends and think who's going to take it well and really love you as a friend and understand the predicament you're in and not make drama about it. Because I feel like some girls can be probably really dramatic about it and their feelings get hurt, but you just have to look at it. Like this is her special day.
Starting point is 01:14:34 If she's truly your friend, you're going to want to step in, fill those shoes, and be a part of the day. So you're telling Stacey, it's okay to go to someone. one. But you're saying, it's okay, but think about your friend's personalities and who's going to take it well and not cause you any extra stress for no reason. Like who's going to, which friend would you ask next that's going to love you and understand like, hey, this other girl got an amazing job opportunity. And she's a great friend being like, go take that. Pursue that. A wedding, like, fine. There's going to be pictures. Something. So I'm missing what you're saying here. So ask a friend. Yes. I just said yes. How would you miss that? Let's go to Anne-Marie. You're on, Ann-Marie in South Carolina.
Starting point is 01:15:17 Hi, Ann-Marie. Hi, Bobby. What would you like to say? Actually, I want to talk about the Bridesmaid backup deal. So this actually happened to me. 30 years ago, I got married. It was 30 years in May. And one of my very good friends,
Starting point is 01:15:31 we had been friends for about five or six years, was a bridesmaid. I had six bridesmaid, six ushers. And she canceled two weeks before the wedding. No, anything. It just didn't show up to the last. fitting for her dress. I tried contacting her. She didn't want to speak to me. She didn't give me a reason why, and I have to go find a backup bribesmate. And it was unbelievable. And I actually
Starting point is 01:15:53 had to get my secretary at the time. And I felt horrible, but she knew I was upset. She kind of could fit in the dress, so I paid for the alterations real quick to get her in the dress. And I know it's crazy, and I know I'm OCD, but I needed an even number of ushers and bite me. Yeah, and that's what Stacey's saying, too. say, just ask the next one up on the list. I wouldn't say worry about, because even the dramatic folks are going to be dramatic if they're not asked again. If you're a best friend that's not asked to be a bridesmaid and you don't ask her again with the alternate, she's going to get even more mad. So I don't think you pick someone based on who takes it the best. I think you just pick
Starting point is 01:16:30 your next best friend and be honest with her and say, hey, listen, we had a spot open up. I would love if you could fill in, but I get if you don't want to, because if you don't pick her again, that's when people turn to stabbers. Good point. I didn't think about the stabbers. If you're going to be dramatic, people get dramatic. I think we're all on the same page that it's okay to ask for an alternate bridesmaid. At the beginning, I was kind of like, ooh, that's just like let it go.
Starting point is 01:16:55 Don't do that. I was in a house party once. Do you know what that is? Kid and play? No. Great movie. There's bridesmaids. And then, so there was, say, there was like five bridesmaids.
Starting point is 01:17:04 And then there was five of us in the house party and you wear the same color of whatever she picked out. And you sit on the front row and you watch. Oh, junior varsity bridesmaids. Yes. Like, it was the bridesmaids were up there and we were like house party. I mean, I guess she wanted to feel like she included all her friends, but obviously we couldn't be up there. So it felt special.
Starting point is 01:17:24 But then it also felt kind of like, oh, didn't make the cut. You know? And I was a roommate. Oh, and you were her roommate. Yeah, but it's fine. Morgan number two, what do you think about this? 26-year-old female? Pardon me says that I wouldn't even ask anybody because I just don't want to deal with
Starting point is 01:17:38 the drama of it. I just feel like, you know what? I'm going to deal with it being uneven because I'm. I don't want to make anybody mad or happy or whatever. I'm just going to leave it as it is and go about my day. You could ask the dude to cut one of his dudes because I'm sure they'd be like, yeah, I'm good. Dudes would be like, you know what? I'll step down.
Starting point is 01:17:55 Whatever. Guys care. Nah, we don't care. Yeah, I'd be like, Trent, you don't need me. I'm going to sit down. I'll be in the newly formed house party of one. Eddie, if Bobby gets married and he doesn't have you as a groomsman, you're not going to care? You're not going to care.
Starting point is 01:18:06 I'd probably get mad for like five minutes and then I'm over it. Oh, yeah. Well, Eddie's like so chill about everything. But that's kind of how Eddie and his fights are. All right, we're good. Yeah. I'm mad for a good five minutes, though, and then it's like whatever. Eddie will snap sometimes and then be completely bounced back within the hour.
Starting point is 01:18:21 Is that how fights are with your wife? No, no, no, no. Eddie's a snapper, though. You break stuff. I've broken broomsticks. Yeah, that's my point. Aluminum broomstick. Wow.
Starting point is 01:18:31 Like your anger goes like this. Done. Yes, and then it's over. Then it's over. Completely over. And then we move on. My anger goes like. Why sit on it?
Starting point is 01:18:38 The broomstick? No. I know. That's like your, that's like your, that's like your, your vibe though you're very like just chill like life is so good like who cares i'm like well it takes me like a full 48 hours to get over something sometimes the bobby bone show is proud to be supported by grand canyon university an affordable private non-profit christian university based in beautiful phoenix arizona they say higher education is outdated irrelevant well gc u

Starting point is 01:22:21 With Bobby. Tell me something good. This guy named Lester was a landscaper and a handyman, and he had been relying on his wife to take him to work because his car broke down, and his car just stayed broke down. There was a lot of damage to it. And so his son, over two years, worked a side job,
Starting point is 01:22:40 and would just save a little money, save a little money, didn't tell his dad. After two years, the son went and bought him a used truck and was like, hey, I got you a truck. That's crazy. I wish I'd have been a better kid. I read stuff like this. I was like, dang. I know.
Starting point is 01:22:54 There's so much we can learn from that, even now. He said he wanted to do something nice for his dad, and obviously his dad and his mom couldn't be more grateful. And you know this too. That's them raising a good guy. That's them. That's the raising, too. I know. I'm like, can they call me and tell me what they did?
Starting point is 01:23:08 What they did? What they did? I just do not see my kids buying me a car, really, if I needed it. Well, to be fair, you got your kids later. Yeah. You got them at, what, 7 and 11? Yeah, I know, but they came from, like, nothing. And now it's like... Didn't they tell you when you adopted your kids that either they would be super giving or super, like, greedy?
Starting point is 01:23:32 I don't know. I don't know. I don't know if they did. I don't remember that in particular, but I think you just have to introduce things slowly. You don't want to overstimulate, overwhelm. And then, like, so much stuff, I'm like, oh, should we even be doing this? Because they just think that this is what life is, like, a lot of times I feel like I have to explain. Like, this is not normal. I don't think that this is normal. Because they hear things, like, at the orphanage, there was talk amongst, like, the nannies.
Starting point is 01:23:57 And depending on where you were, because people would adopt from Canada or France or America, like, all over. But they'd be like, you're going to America. And they would have this idea of, like, what America. is, you know. Chocolate fountains and unicorns. Swimming pools everywhere and like, we don't have a pool and they're like, because Oh, that was what they thought? The first day, like, our daughter looked in the backyard and she was like, oh,
Starting point is 01:24:16 she's like, we don't have a pool? I was like, no. Nope. That's funny. But, I mean, it's not her fault. It's just like what was put into their minds of what maybe to expect. Maybe I'm projecting my therapy on it. Because I was always told since I grew up super poor that I was either going to be super giving
Starting point is 01:24:34 are super selfish. Maybe I just think because they grew up super poor in an orphanage. Maybe I was projecting what I was been told on me and your kids. No, I haven't been told that. But, I mean, I could see that there's some truth to it. Well, hopefully one day they buy you a car. I hope they grew up very giving, yes. Well, that's what it's all about right there.
Starting point is 01:24:50 That is Tell Me Something Good. That was Tell Me Something Good. Oh, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. On Sunday night, our episode of Celebrity Family Feud comes on. It was nice enough for ABC to invite me. to come on and super cool that they think I'm a celebrity. I was like, holy crap. And they said, invite whoever you want.
Starting point is 01:25:17 And so it's me, Amy, Lauren Elena, John Party, and Lunchbox. And in that order, we're on the table. So that'll be on Sunday night on ABC. And we're playing Andy Rodic, the former professional tennis player, and Brooklyn Decker, his wife, philanthropist, model, she does a lot of stuff. Entrepreneur. And then her family. So, yeah, I was doing an, interview yesterday about it.
Starting point is 01:25:44 And they were like, hey, so what was your strategy? Because apparently these game shows, like people study them to be on them. Oh, I missed that. They were like, what was your strategy with Family Feud? And I was like, well, I treated it kind of like a relay race. Like, you really want your fastest two at the beginning and the end, like your best two players.
Starting point is 01:26:01 And so I put me at the beginning and lunchbox at the end. No offense to you, Amy. I know you're second. Fine. And they were like, yeah, how is Steve Harvey? What do you think about Steve Harvey? Amazing. It's fun.
Starting point is 01:26:11 We didn't talk to him before. the show. We didn't get to hang out because they were taping a bunch of shows that day. And I think we hopped on after five seconds of summer in chain smokers. No. Oh, yeah. Or maybe Chrissy Teagan. Chrissy Teagan. Listen, they were just moving people through. But yeah, he goes and he changes clothes and walks right back out and then we're on and away we go. So that'll be Sunday night on ABC, our episode of Celebrity Family Feud. And I'll say this, that Andy Rodic and I made a side bet. He's one of my best friends. We made a side bet too. And whomever lost also owes. So after the show
Starting point is 01:26:42 airs, the loser will have to pay the winner. How much? Undisclosed. So that'll be Sunday night. So if you want to watch that, that would be cool. ABC, if you want to check that out. It's going to be interesting. Well, yeah, but Amy makes a scene.
Starting point is 01:26:57 We'll say that. You do make quite the scene. And we'll leave it at that. I don't know how obvious the scene was. And I don't know if they edit. I don't know what they're going to edit in and out. I don't know. Steve might have been like, gut that.
Starting point is 01:27:09 I'm going to say this. Eddie, now excuse me, Amy goes after. Steve Harvey at some point during the show. Amy just gets irritated and goes after Steve Harvey, which they like. I may or not have threatened him. Yeah. What? In his ear.
Starting point is 01:27:21 I don't know if the microphone picked it up. But I acted like I was giving him a hug and I gave him a message. What did you whisper to him? Said you better make this right, Steve. Or else. Right. Right. Or else what?
Starting point is 01:27:33 I'm sure he's probably like, okay, little girl. Go back to your seat. Your stand. My stand. Sunday night. a door dash delivery driver ate half of a man's takeout meal and left bite marks behind before dropping off what was left. So this guy named Chris orders food from Dickie's barbecue in Pennsylvania.
Starting point is 01:27:53 When it arrived, he found out that half his meal already been eaten. Two of the six ribs he was expecting were gone. And there were obvious bite marks in the ones that were left. Dickie staff said they've had issues with the same door dash driver in the past. Well, they should probably get a new one. Well, they're not the one. DoorDash is the company. Oh, well, DoorDash needs to know what's up.
Starting point is 01:28:15 Yeah, they must not be giving them one star or no stars. So I just assume if I'm ordering food that's free, that some of it's being eaten. Yeah. Like French fries? If I order French fries, I assumed that they probably had a couple. I used to think if something was missing from my order that I know that I ordered, but it's just not there, that it was the restaurant's fault and they left it out. But now I just think that the driver maybe ate it. They got hungry.
Starting point is 01:28:38 and then they know, and then they close up the bag and you give it to you, and then they ring your doorbell, here's your food, buy, and they leave, and then you're just stuck with your not, whatever you didn't order. It's happened to me multiple times. Sometimes I think they take drinks in my smoothie. Really? Ew, if the straw has been messed with, no.
Starting point is 01:28:55 If you see, like, if you see the stuff on the straw, that means, yeah. I don't drink from straws if I order it, and it's already in. I don't drink from it. That's smart. I'm just not trying to have that right now. What would you do, Amy,
Starting point is 01:29:08 if this guy, if food comes to you and there are a couple ribs missing. I'm calling DoorDash. I need to file a complaint. He ain't my ribs. No, that's not okay. Food should not be tampered with. Lunchbox? Man, I'm going to have problems with this guy. I'm going to track him down because he's going to get fired. Oh, you're going to track him down. Like, who does he think he is?
Starting point is 01:29:27 You got his license plate. Hopefully you got one of those cameras on your doorbell. Oh my gosh. It would be on. Did you see the woman that tracked down her own car? By the way? She had her car stolen. and she stole it back. And so, you know, my stepdad ended up doing this with his Jeep at one point. You came on and they stole his Jeep
Starting point is 01:29:46 and he went and tracked it down in the woods and stole it back from their yard. I love these stories. But here is this woman's story. Woman in Missouri was picking up her daughter when her SUV was stolen. She kept an eye on where her stolen credit cards were being used.
Starting point is 01:29:56 She found out the thieves were at Applebee's. And here she is talking about how she hung out for a while and then stole her Toyota forer on her back and then called police. Oh, wow. She has my wallet in her hand and my keys in her hand.
Starting point is 01:30:07 Oh, my God. God. So, before I called the cops, I wanted to show you guys what I just found by doing our own stocking at Applebee's in my huts racing. Look at the back seat. Look at the back seat. Beer in my car seat. There's stuff in the car seat. There's stuff on the seats. It's just gross. Oh, wow. Deputy say they do not recommend others to do this because you're putting yourself in harm's way. It does sound pretty cool, though, if you're recording a video beforehand.
Starting point is 01:30:32 Yeah, yeah, yeah. And you get away with it. Yeah, you shouldn't do it, but it did sound pretty cool. She tried purchase on her debit and credit cards and they just stalked the people who stole the car. I can't believe you would just open. I would think if it was stolen, they strip it, sell it for parts or get it out of the state. I want to think you steal it and drive it around the neighborhood. Although it is Applebee's and everything's in the neighborhood. It's your neighborhood grill.
Starting point is 01:30:55 There's this beautiful lake in Siberia. It's turquoise. It looks awesome. And the color of the water makes everybody want to come out and, you know, put their toes on the water, take a picture by the lake. well they're like hey stop this is a toxic waste dump that has got into the water what but people are flying there from all over the world to take pictures for instagram and they know it's toxic and they're still doing it to get their instagram picture that's weird due to the dump site's recent popularity a nearby coal plant operator has said stop stop with the pictures you're going to die or you're going to get cancer
Starting point is 01:31:27 so they had to put all these posts it's like the air force had to put out a statement about area 51 like don't come get them aliens i think there are a million people there and like sign the petition I think people are just joining the petition now to be funny more than anything. Not they'd really show up, but... I was looking at my Twitter. Earlier, we were talking about like a backup bridesmaid. If somebody jumps out and goes, hey, I can't be at the wedding. Do you go to somebody else to fill in?
Starting point is 01:31:52 Is that insulting to them? Here's one. Ashley Scott says, there are such things as stand-in bridesmaids. They can be a little pricey, but if you're concerned about having an even number, it's a good idea. So the other way, you're just pulling somebody out of nowhere. You just hire a stranger? I still think you go, even if it's dramatic, you have to go to your next friend up. Yeah, because if that friend finds out you just hired some random stranger, no.
Starting point is 01:32:14 Like your friend's going to be upset that they didn't get asked initially anyway, and they will feel like a backup. But if they don't even make the backup, you got drama for years. Here's another one. I was talking about my dog, which my dog has to go to the bathroom and have to walk him every four hours. Now, the struggle for me is I live alone, so I have to wake up every three and a half, four hours and take them out. and I've hired a dog walker, which I don't think is weird, but I hired a dog walker to come at 1 a.m. starting tonight. So the dog walker will come to my house while I'm sleeping,
Starting point is 01:32:44 hopefully not murder me, take my dog out and put them back. My dog does not sleep in my room. And so someone said, hey, once you get him on a schedule, you'll be just fine. But other people are like, you got the dog, you should do what a dog owner does, walk him. I do all day. But until his bladder gets to the point where he can hold it for a night, I'm going to have a dog walker come so I can come and do this show and be good for you yeah no it makes sense why are people hating on that I don't get it I don't either but those are some comments I'm on Instagram and Twitter at Mr. Bobby Bones so there's that a guy allegedly punched a Taco Bell manager who confronted him about filling his water cup with soda so this is something Amy mentioned yesterday quickly but we're going to talk about it coming up in just a second so that's coming up I'm going to talk to Natalie in North Dakota right now Natalie good morning. Thank you for calling the Bobby Bone Show. How are you? Good. How are you?
Starting point is 01:33:37 Really good. What would you like to say? I just wanted to say thank you for putting some positivity in my life. I listen to you every morning before I go to work. I usually take about 45 minutes to get to work. And so it's just a great way to just kind of put myself in that mindset because they do work with customers. And so customers are so important. And the customer service industry is so daunting sometimes, so it's nice to have that positivity and just kind of like, hey, that's the reason why you have a job. Thanks. We appreciate that. Well, thanks for calling, too. Anybody wants to call in, you can.
Starting point is 01:34:14 877-Bobby. Natalie, thank you for calling today. That's awesome. Here's a wedding photographer who took a shot of the bride walking on the aisle, but in the picture, you see someone holding their phone up, taking a picture as well. She's saying, we've got to stop phones at weddings. Mm-hmm. What do you think about this? I mean, some people collect phones at the beginning of the wedding and you can pick it back up.
Starting point is 01:34:37 They have like a basket and you put your phone in the basket. That way you're not tempted. Your phone isn't like Jennifer Aniston though, who doesn't want pictures going to people more than normal folks. Oh, no, no, no. I've read about normal people doing it. Have you ever been to one though? I haven't. No, but not.
Starting point is 01:34:49 I get that famous people do it so that pictures don't leak. But I've heard of normal people doing it because they want to avoid moments like that or phones ringing awkwardly in the middle of the ceremony. Like, I guess their wedding planner, whomever, probably just suggests, this is a good idea just so we have control over everything. But, I mean, you can Photoshop that out. Like, if you want to print that photo and frame it,
Starting point is 01:35:09 just Photoshop it out. Because I personally wouldn't take away people's cameras because they may want to, they may want a little memory for themselves. The wedding photographer says that no one should bring phones to weddings. Okay. So here's the thing.
Starting point is 01:35:21 It's up to the person having the wedding, the rules that they put in. We come on, we talk about weddings, people putting in all these nutty rules. The end is, it's their day. It's their day. They make the rules. If they want to treat it like a Chris Rock comedy show and take your phone, I've never seen that before with a normal.
Starting point is 01:35:37 I've been to a bunch of weddings. I've never taken my phone. Although I'd be weirded about that. Yeah. What are you going to do with it while you have it? Yeah. Look at all my before pictures. I take befores.
Starting point is 01:35:46 Oh, yeah. You don't take afters? You shake befores. Yeah, mostly it's just a lot of befores. I never quite liked the after. Never quite gets there. What do you think? Phones at weddings, leave them, take them, you get?
Starting point is 01:36:03 I'm fine with it. Like, let people keep their phones. But if you do have a phone at a wedding, let's just as guests, let's be respectful. How do you feel about pulling your phone out when the bride's walking on the aisle? I mean, I maybe want to put it on my Instagram story. Is that being selfish of you?
Starting point is 01:36:17 I'll try not to get in the shot. I'll tell you, I felt weird about it. I went to Random Kid Cody's wedding, a former intern of ours. I didn't record them walking down the aisle because I felt like I probably should just be watching. But when they got up there and we're talking, I did get a shot of that.
Starting point is 01:36:33 I did it at lunchbox's wedding. You did what? Got them walking down? I was trying to get him crying. Oh, you did cry. Didn't cry. Yeah, you did. You did.
Starting point is 01:36:41 You did. We are all there. Listen, guys, listen, you guys can lie if you want, but you still have, there is no photo evidence. Yeah, because I was too far away. There's no video evidence. And so if you have all your cameras there and you got no crying, you got no evidence, there was no tears.
Starting point is 01:36:53 But it's okay to cry. Yeah, it's okay to cry. No, I understand. I've cried on the show before, and so, I mean, I cry, but I did not cry at my wedding. People that cry at their weddings are weird. Eddie, you were there? Yeah, I was there. Amy, you were there?
Starting point is 01:37:05 Yes. I was there. Who saw and heard lunchbox cry? Say aye. Aye. Okay, there's three. And who was the one that was getting married and that it was allegedly that cried and knows what really happened? I.
Starting point is 01:37:15 Well, you're in the moment. You know, I feel like wedding days are like a blur. Like you don't really remember everything that happened. Yeah, right, right. Yeah, he doesn't remember. So, did you have a talk with your wife when you guys got married about phones at your wedding? No, we didn't even think about it being a big deal, but it should be a big deal because when my sister got married, my aunt, she's kind of older. She uses an iPad to take picture.
Starting point is 01:37:36 And so when she is holding up her iPad, she's blocking the view of everybody around her. And it's true when they do walk down the aisle, everybody's phones go up in the air. So if you're in the middle, you have to be, it adds three feet to the height of people. So you can't even see them walking down the aisle. So I'm kind of with this lady. get rid of the phones, just keep them in your pocket until the reception. I don't hate that. Again, I think if it's your wedding, you can make the rules. I felt weird pulling my phone out when people walked down the aisle, but I didn't feel weird when they were talking and doing their vows.
Starting point is 01:38:07 Maybe you just put out a whole light, like, here are the rules for the wedding. Don't pull your phone out at this point. Feel free to take pictures at this point. But again, people may just want to like share other people's Instagram stories too. Yeah. But as a guest, just use common courtesy, common sense, like be respectful. Also, I think this photographer is just probably a little worried about her job. Yeah. Like she got the money shot and then there's like this camera in it. It's a funny term you use there. But yes.
Starting point is 01:38:31 Why is that about, is that not fit? No, that's perfect. Yeah, that's good. Is that like dated? Amy, I don't get it. I thought money shot was perfect. I don't understand. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:38:40 I thought money shot is what you say when you get the perfect shot. Right, me too. Yeah, it is. Wait, Bobby, tell me what's wrong with saying that. Off the air. Amy, drop it right now. Okay, drop it right now. Just drop it for the second.
Starting point is 01:38:51 It's dropped. I'm gonna Google. Yeah, do that. I'm not Googling. Hey, Ramundo is in the glass room. Yo, yo. They should drop that, right? Do you think?
Starting point is 01:39:01 Yeah, they should not say that. He doesn't know what it means either. Oh, I thought you meant drop, drop it. No, no, not drop the delay. They can talk about it. I was like, what on money shot? No, no, you're good. Did you look it up on Urban Dictionary?
Starting point is 01:39:15 Oh, Urban Dictionary because I was like, Wikipedia says a money shot is a moving or stationary visual element of a film, video, television, or print publication that is. Okay, we don't need the whole definition. Now he's talking about literal movie shot. No, money shot. Oh, that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:39:29 I do think that photographers are starting to go, oh, crap, people can shoot great pictures in the portrait mode on an iPhone, which. Yeah, it takes out the photographer. Oh, yeah. No, my sister is really good. I was like, do you have a special phone? She's like, no, I just take pictures in portrait. I'm like, you're going to have to teach me how to use that.
Starting point is 01:39:48 Like, they look so good. Just flip your finger. I still not good at. at it. I don't know. It always says the image is too close back away. I can't figure out portrait. Oh, you can't do selfies with portrait. I'm not trying to do selfies.
Starting point is 01:39:59 Okay. I'm trying to take a selfie. No, no, no. It's not a selfie. But for whatever reason, I don't have portrait down, but it's true. The pictures are not good. An urban dictionary is bad. Yeah, that's what it is. We might want to exit from our vocabulary. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported

Starting point is 01:43:15 Owning a home comes with a lot of things nobody really prepares you for, including yard care. Sunday is a company trying to make that part easier. They start with a soil test and climate data to build a yard plan tailor to where you live, then ship everything directly to your door. No guesswork, no dragging bags of fertilizer. And instead of harsh chemicals, Sunday uses simple, nutrient-dense ingredients like seaweed, molasses, and iron.
Starting point is 01:43:41 Everything hooks up to a hose, which honestly sounds like my speed. If your yard feels more stressful than satisfying, Sunday's approach makes a lot of sense. Go to get sunday.com to get your free custom yard analysis. That's get sunday.com. You can call us if you want. 877-77 Bobby. We have Kristen in Virginia who has called us here on the show. Hey, Kristen, good morning. Thanks for hanging out. Hey, morning. What would you like to say? So I'm traveling home back to Virginia and listening to you guys. And I hear a segment on how Like, if you get pulled over to be honest and now Amy's, you know, just honest because whatever. And lo and behold, not too long after, dance too got pulled over.
Starting point is 01:44:30 You? Yeah. For the first time ever. And I was like, nervous. I was like, okay. Like, you were prepped for this. They told you what to do. And I was honest.
Starting point is 01:44:40 This wasn't paying attention. But I was like, what are the odds? Yeah. So the police officer walks up to your window and says what? He was like, so I pulled you over. for going 24 over. Whoa, 24 over? Holy crap, Jeff Gordon.
Starting point is 01:44:56 What's happening here? You're your first time ever getting pulled over? Yes, yeah. It was at 55, and I was going 79, and I really wasn't paying attention. Like, that was the thing. I straight up. I thought I was going with traffic. I thought I was being fine, but he was really nice.
Starting point is 01:45:12 Okay, so he comes up, he goes, I'm sorry, he said what to you again? He caught me going 24 over. And what did you say? And what did you say? know why? I was like, I just wasn't paying attention. And he was like, okay, can I have, you know, driver's license, registration, you know, whatever. And then he went back to his car. And then he came back. And by the way, the whole time he's in his car, are you nervous and you, like, watching in your side view mirror? Oh my gosh. Yeah. I'm like freaking out. I'm like shaking. I'm like,
Starting point is 01:45:38 just breathe. You're fine. You were nice. And he came back and he was really nice because it was in Pennsylvania. I got pulled over. And he's like, I don't know how this works in Virginia. but since you have a clean record, I'm only going to charge you for going five over, which means no points, but I still have to pay them. Oh, wow. Yeah, but you got to be honest. And I know it stinks, you got a ticket,
Starting point is 01:45:57 but that's a pretty gracious thing to go. Oh, yeah. Oh, my gosh, I was so thankful. I think over 20, they can get to that reckless driving. I've heard you go to jail for that. Yep. I've heard you get put in big house for you. What? You go to jail for driving 20 over?
Starting point is 01:46:10 I didn't know that. I'm not sure. I've heard that. That's what I heard. That's all I can say. Well, listen, Kristen, I hope that you were nice. You're probably not charged a couple hundred extra dollars because you were nice to the officer and honest.
Starting point is 01:46:25 And another thing I'll say is, especially if it's at night all the time, but really, just keep your hands up on the steering wheel so they can see your hands. It's just a way for you to go, hey, like, I know that you're at risk every day when you do your job, so I'm going to give you 12% more effort to show you that you're not at risk when you pull me over. Yeah. And everything you do in your car be super deliberate.
Starting point is 01:46:43 it's like, hey, like don't just start jumping in your dash, like in your glove box to find stuff as soon as you get pulled over. Because who knows what you're looking for? Even if you know you're looking for your registration, you start digging in your dash quickly when he pulls you over. He could be thinking or she could be thinking you're looking for a gun. Right. Just be super deliberate, super honest, and understand that every time a police officer pulls someone over, their life, and I don't use this word often. But it's literally in danger because someone could pull a gun, somebody could try to drive over them, but I think you did the right thing.
Starting point is 01:47:16 What kind of car do you drive? Do you be going 25 over and not know? Oh, an SUV. But it was like a highway. Don't butt me. She said she was going, no, no, no, no, don't butt me. She was going with the flow. No, no, no, Amy, the flow was jumping off a bridge, would you?
Starting point is 01:47:31 No, but she said she felt like she was honest. She was like, I just wasn't paying attention. She didn't know. I had gone down to 55. She was in a new state. Well, Kristen, thank you for calling, and I'm glad that you heard what we said, and I hope other listeners hear your story. and maybe they'll slow down
Starting point is 01:47:43 and if they get pulled over they're honest and they're considerate of the police officer. Yeah, thanks. You guys always have great advice. Thank you very much. See you later.
Starting point is 01:47:51 Bye. Bye. I do want to talk about this. This guy is accused of punching a South Austin Taco Bell manager who confronted him Saturday. And Amy mentioned this yesterday quickly. But the Taco Manager goes up
Starting point is 01:48:02 and goes, hey dude, gave you a water cup and you're putting soda in there. And so the manager that guy often comes to the Taco Bell on Slop. Water Lane. Shout out.
Starting point is 01:48:14 Shout out. That's where I used to live. Been there. Me too. Yeah. And so he goes, hey, I saw him filled up with soda
Starting point is 01:48:18 and he confronted him and the guy goes, boom, punched him right in the face. Wow. And like, so much so he woke up from the punch. Yeah, he got knocked out.
Starting point is 01:48:26 He got knocked out. Wow. And then he was like, when I woke up, that was on the floor. There is, Eddie and I, we have a comedy duo
Starting point is 01:48:34 called The Raging Idiots. We wrote a whole song about this. It's called Jesus Knows. Yeah. Like the chorus of the song is if you fill your water cup up with soda,
Starting point is 01:48:42 Like maybe you know, and that's okay, but don't think that everybody else does know. Jesus knows. And then also, we forgot the line, don't punch the- Don't punch the manager. Don't punch the manager in the face. I was asking lunchbox during the break if you watched The Bachelorette last night and your TV doesn't even get ABC. I don't get ABC anymore.
Starting point is 01:49:01 I don't know. My wife and I had dinner ready, popcorn popping in the microwave. We sat down, turned on ABC, and it's just a blue screen that says, sorry, this channel is not available. It has been taken off your thing. and you can't watch this channel. What are those weird negotiations where the cable company is like,
Starting point is 01:49:17 da-da-da. Yeah, and two companies fighting. That rarely actually comes to fruition where they keep the channel off, though. Yeah, it's been almost a month now. What? What? A month.
Starting point is 01:49:28 What cable service do you guys have? I have DirecTV. Or ATTUverse, whatever, I guess it's the same company. And even the NBC channel is there's a slate on it. It says that they're working on negotiations. There's a chance we may lose NBC too.
Starting point is 01:49:40 This is crazy. Cool. I mean, you have these major progress. Like, the whole season was leading up to last night with Luke and how crazy it was going to get and him confronting her about sleeping with other men. And I don't even get to watch it. I don't even know what happened. I didn't get to see anything. Do you want to know what happened?
Starting point is 01:49:58 Because I watched clips this morning. I mean, I would love to know what happened, but it kind of, I wanted to feel it with everybody else why I was eating my popcorn on the couch. And I just threw the popcorn away because I felt weird. You didn't eat the popcorn and tossed it? I think that's a little dramatic. It's kind of a waste. No, because you eat, what do you do?
Starting point is 01:50:14 You eat popcorn during the most dramatic moment. You're like, oh, popcorn, popcorn, hurry, hurry. Didn't even get to watch it. I tell you, when I buy food at the movie theater, though, I eat it before the movie and starts. I can't even wait. It's like everything I buy by the time the previews are over, I've already consumed it.
Starting point is 01:50:30 Oh. I guess it's been so long since I've actually bought something in the movie theater. Last night, Hannah B, if I mess up the names. Alabama Hannah. Okay, Alabama Hannah hooked up with the dude in the windmill, the pilot, I think, Peter. Oh, okay. Peter, the pilot?
Starting point is 01:50:45 I think so. They went. Twice. They went windmill? Yeah, that's where the fantasy date was. I believe. All right. So they did it twice on the windmill.
Starting point is 01:50:53 Well, then Luke P is like, hey, you can't be hooking up with other people. Like, we're, like, because he's a born again Christian. Okay. And he's like, hey, don't. And she's like, no, Jesus loves me anyway. And so they were like fighting about that. And he was like, if you're going to get engaged to me, in a week, you can't be sleeping with other dudes.
Starting point is 01:51:15 Wait, they like hooked up, hooked up? Yeah. But I mean, that's what they do on that show. Oh, no, not Alabama Hannah. Yeah, I think. And she was okay with it. She's like, I've accepted. I'm enjoying it for me.
Starting point is 01:51:25 Like, I'm doing me. That's what she's been saying the whole season. You're doing her. Let me tell you. Her move. That is Peter the pilot. She likes the straddle. She likes the what?
Starting point is 01:51:35 The straddle. When she goes into kiss, she jumps and laps, wraps, wraps, wraps legs around every dude. And she lays them down on the pool, the couches, the bed, wherever there's place to lay down, she's, oh yeah. Interesting. She goes at it. Well, she cut Luke P.
Starting point is 01:51:49 Last night. He gone? He's gone. I think he comes back next week, though. Well, I will know. I don't know because I haven't seen it. And then by the way, family feud, celebrity family feud, like, I get to be on and I brought the show on and you guys want to get to see it.
Starting point is 01:52:04 I know. No. I'm about to call my neighbors. Takes some popcorn over there. Mike, do I write about that. Peter the pilot. that's who she hooked up with. I think Jed is still on,
Starting point is 01:52:13 the guy from Nashville that went on with the girlfriend. Yeah, the guy with the... It wasn't even an overnight fantasy sweet date? Yes. No, it was. Oh, was.
Starting point is 01:52:19 It was doing. Oh, okay. I thought she was just on a windmill. I was like, well... No, the last couple weeks you've been wondering who she hooked up with when the windmill was,
Starting point is 01:52:26 and you found out it wasn't Jed, which a lot of people thought. Wow. Sorry. Thank you for the clarification. You're welcome. And again, I don't watch the full show, but I watched clips this morning
Starting point is 01:52:34 because everybody was talking about it. Thanks for hanging out with us here. It is the Bobby Bones show. We got a whole studio. Check it out on Facebook. Bobby Bones! Yes. Okay, here you go.

Starting point is 01:52:56 and they could easily go to a happy hour with their dressy golf clothes on, too. I'm not saying this. This is from the news. That's all true. They can do that if they want. It's all true. Has a job He can disappear for eight hours
Starting point is 01:53:10 He's dressed up nicely Your husband is a pilot And can disappear for days at a time Yeah yeah I know y'all already told me He probably has another life somewhere He's got kids and a wife in Canada He can disappear for like weeks at a time I know or I don't know what part of the world

No, but some friends that are down there because I haven't been able to go in like a year and a half ever since we got the kids, although I'm still trying to go, but I'm so excited to do like a live and like to see my friends there and see what's going on there. So that's my day. What about you? Wow. I rarely will go home and just slam a nap, but I didn't even. I didn't. I didn't. getting asleep last night because of my dog. Yeah. So I will go and crush a nap. And then I'll get on
Starting point is 01:54:11 the bike, which by the way, they've reached out to me about being one of their endorsers, Peloton has. I don't ever talk about exactly what branded is, but that would be cool. Yeah, that would be amazing. Because I usually only hop on and do things either that I know and trust or my friends are into. So yeah, I'll go ride the bike. That bike keeps me thin. I'm in a pretty good 158 right now. That's small. It's about where I want to be, but I was on, basically. vacation for a few days, and I'm still at 158. Yeah. Usually I get up to like 162, and I'm like, boom, boom, boom, but, walking in the room.
Starting point is 01:54:44 Oh, my God. I know. Oh, my. I know. And then I have to kind of memorize some jokes. Eddie and I start our tour Friday night in Denver. So all the stand-up, the new jokes I've written, I start to memorize. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:54:56 And like, do them to no crowd. Okay. So that'll be a lot of what's happening today. You can reach out to the show at Bobby Bone Show. And thank you so much for hanging out with us. and we will see you on Wednesday's show. Thank you. And goodbye, everybody.
