Starting point is 00:00:01 And now, The Bonfire with Big J. O'Kerson and Robert Kelly. Everybody ready to laugh now? Woo! Happy Monday, everybody. Welcome to a bonus episode of the Bonfire podcast. Hey, Crackle, Crackle, everybody. Please enjoy this never-before-aired episode of the Bonfire. All right.
Starting point is 00:00:26 A-CDC. Can I get canceled by a fucking Noriester? I do want to go. It's such a good show. I do want to go. but I get, I go, listen, I've never been a concert guy, but Jay, since I started hanging with Jay, he's made me enjoy, like, going and taking a lot of my fears away,
Starting point is 00:00:44 but I'm always kind of attached to Jay. He takes care of all the things that fucking make me. He does. It's like, dude, I got you, the parking, and we're going to meet here. We could see, we could see right where we're standing, I got this good area. We leave, you know what I mean? Except the last time we didn't leave a tour. We left late, but it's okay.
Starting point is 00:01:02 No. We left late. No, we left fine. No, we left late. We left late. It was tough getting in that stadium that day. It was tough getting out of it is what it was. It was the out of it, and we left a little late.
Starting point is 00:01:13 If we left a little earlier, we wouldn't have it. We were sitting on a curb like fucking homeless fat guys waiting for an Uber that was never coming. I was having a ball. Because you were stoned out of your mind. Yes. Yeah, I'm not. I'm panicky Pete. I'm like, we're never going to leave.
Starting point is 00:01:25 We're going to be stuck. He's like, they can't bring cars down this way. I go, see cars coming right there, dude? He's just going a little bit slow right now. And he's like, Dawn and Max and Don. and tiny house. And I'm like, you got to unwind, dude. We just saw a maiden.
Starting point is 00:01:39 There's nothing more annoying than being with a pothead when you're anxious. Because he kept going, I go, did the car move? He went, yeah. I go, how far is it? It's a mile. It's a mile. Look at that. It's only an eighth of a mile.
Starting point is 00:01:51 And I go, how much is it now? Oh, now it's like two miles. Pre-concert, I'm a ball of stress. I want to make sure we all get there. I want to make sure we're all together. So I want to make sure everyone's there. I want to make sure all together in the same spot. We're good.
Starting point is 00:02:03 We got what we need. everyone if you're I almost have like too much where people get annoyed where I'm like grab drinks now if you want drinks like we're fucking adults we'll get drinks we'll get drinks I'm like yeah you're right I can't tell you when they get drinks I'm telling you I would love if you got drinks now because it's going to start and then I'm going to be yeah when you're not there I'm going to be going are they seeing it even like starting fuck and I guess but when the concert's over I'm like whatever dude we'll get home you have you have after you have after last show Saturday night energy after the show post nut it's all
Starting point is 00:02:32 He goes, dude, it doesn't matter. Listen, this fucking Uber. This Uber went from a mile to a half a mile to two miles back to a mile to three miles. I'm flipping out. He went around a park. He's like, he's going through this green stuff. I'm like, that's grass. He shouldn't be over there.
Starting point is 00:02:50 He's not. He's making moves. He's being aggressive. Oh, yeah. He's being aggressive. It's that stadium in Newark, that soccer stadium. It's tough to, you have to park. Like, my parking pass was an 8 tenth of a mile away.
Starting point is 00:03:02 almost a mile away, and we had a walk to buy a parking pass in a lot. Lewis, fucking Lucky Lewis, just pulled up. Someone was pulling out from front of their house right near the stadium. He just pulled in and parked. He did? Yeah, he was right there.
Starting point is 00:03:13 Just got a parking spot. No, it's not right there. It's across the parking lots. Yeah, but it's right there compared to where we had to walk. No, we walked two blocks up from that exclude. We only walked two more blocks from that. But we just stayed there for a long time.
Starting point is 00:03:26 It was two miles. Yeah, well, like those venues. We walked two miles. They're not. People watch. They're not equipped to pick. up, you know, six thousand people in Uber's in that little, that's a little city where that stadium is that shouldn't even be there
Starting point is 00:03:37 in the middle of like a neighborhood. That's why I wanted to leave when, like, at the beginning of the first song. You can't. The beginning of the first song, we would have missed the whole show. Beginning of the last song. And then we would have been, huh? We did.
Starting point is 00:03:49 We waited too long for the song. It's a stadium. You guys walk slow. We don't walk slow. You walk slow. You are. You are fucking. Hello's and pitch a taken.
Starting point is 00:04:00 Sure. I do have to take something a lot of pictures. Sure, sure. None of us could unsee Yonikers after you mentioned his 69-year-old leg splits on stage. And he was calm. Like, he was only 50% of what he usually does. I do believe in what we're talking about is the, and if you can explain Jim like his trajectory in the band, it was like he came when somebody else was down. Adrian Smith left.
Starting point is 00:04:25 Yeah, when Adrian Smith left and Bruce Dickinson left back in the 90s, they put two records out with another guy. basically playing back in clubs. They played like the Birch Hill. Oh, really? In Jersey, yeah. And then Dickinson came back in a band. They kept the guy as the third guitar player. And he's just, I don't even think he's plugged in.
Starting point is 00:04:43 That would be my guess. When you said that, I was kind of laughing. I was like, when I watched it, I go, I don't think he's plugged in. Nothing he's doing is coming through the speakers. By the way, up to it including things like putting it on the ground and tapping the strings with his foot. That's not happening in the speakers. No. We would know.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Where they have him turned down to like a faint, like in his monitor only or something. But you said that the rest of the band is so old that the manager is like, we need somebody who can move around for energy. Besides Bruce. His manager said, I can't have a bunch of mid-guys guys in mid-60s up there just standing there. I need some movement on the stage, so that's why we like them. But when you notice when he's doing all his kicks and like he's auditioning of a dance with the stars up there, the rest of the guys move away from because they don't want to be in that shot. He's by himself. Yeah, he's by himself.
Starting point is 00:05:29 Let me get over here in case someone takes a picture of it. You did mention that and that didn't hit me and then all of a sudden every time he went somewhere the other guys would just go to the other places. They want nothing to do with this. Sissy fit. I bet you if he put a camera on him, what's his name? Yonik Gare.
Starting point is 00:05:45 Oh, I have video of it. I'll send it to Christine. I mean, he really like, one thing is, the first thing is just to show you his, like, his, like how flexible in limbery is in his age because he puts his leg up on the thing, which isn't a cool looking pose. He's just showing, goes, look at my age, huh?
Starting point is 00:06:02 It's the energy of the guy. Do you remember when the guy on the commercial does in a full tucked in shirt, the inversion table where he's upside down and he does the twist and he stands up? He's like, I feel great. It's like that kind of like he's like showing you. He goes, look at my age, my advanced age. I can put my leg up. It doesn't look cool with the guitar or nothing.
Starting point is 00:06:21 It's just bizarre. You had a hard time getting it down, though. Then there was his move that really bugged me. He would lean on the stack. and make it tilt and he would just like a rocking chair just go back and forth and just stare at the crowd like look at this move
Starting point is 00:06:36 ugh what a jag he really is a fucking peat I wish you never mentioned it because that's all I could look at I do it everyone that goes to see Iron Maiden I do it I want to ruin it I want to ruin I never even notice that I go good I love ruining things for people
Starting point is 00:06:50 I've seen him so many every time I've seen him clearly that guy was in the band I never thought twice about it yeah I know I just I just said you just stare at Dickinson and Nico when he was playing. You don't watch anything else, and I'm like, oh, yeah, who is that guy? I really do. I used to always watch it would just cover my eye because he was always there.
Starting point is 00:07:07 I'm like, it's too distra. It doesn't belong in Iron Maiden. Like in Winger or something like that or 80s hair band, that belongs in there, but not in Iron Maiden. Maybe even a little Tesla. You could bring that energy out. Maybe, yeah, but not Iron Maiden. Then they have the two original legendary guitar players that have been in the band since day one. You don't need a third guy, and those guys don't move, and it's fine,
Starting point is 00:07:28 because they just played these great rats. Yeah, Megadeth came out and just stood there the whole time. That's all you do, dude. The guy's barely defeating cancer. I think I saw one of his teeth fall out during a song. He looks miserable by I think he's having fun. Yeah, when they did the close-up on his fucking, on his solo, you saw his authoritative knuckles were all lumped up,
Starting point is 00:07:48 like he can't move his hand only in guitar movements. He's got some kind of disease. Here he goes. Here he goes. Oh, God. He's not plugged in. Yeah, what the fuck? Oh, shit.
Starting point is 00:08:04 He's using the guitar as a machine gun? Fucking, what a loser. They don't have him playing. There's no way. No, I see a chord. No, no, there's definitely no chord. If he's playing, he's playing chordless, but that doesn't really matter. No, he's, well, how can you even play and then come out of it to spin it around your neck?
Starting point is 00:08:20 You don't have that. You have to be playing. No, some people, listen. A young Steve Vi, perhaps. But not this? It's like a nerd baton play. Wow. He really, he's using his guitar as a hula hoop.
Starting point is 00:08:33 Look, look. Oh my God. Yeah, the other guys, the other guys share Mike and everything, and then they're really having a camaraderie. He does that Billy Squire little dance, too, that little fucking hop, like the little hop, which made me. I wish I was, I'm just too young.
Starting point is 00:08:51 I'm just the cunt hair too young to have felt the impact of thinking Billy Squire was like our, like fucking like working man's like bad ass rock star and then that video coming out and him ruining everyone's life I'm unfortunately just old enough that's just our splitting age right there just to know I mean dude his songs are so fucking rocking I just thought Billy Squire
Starting point is 00:09:14 I didn't see a big change in the things I didn't the video meant nothing to me but when that music video came out that's they say the end of him yeah no I mean he was never on anybody's real radar like he had that song the stroke stroke me or whatever like right before that
Starting point is 00:09:29 I loved always And the dark was okay, but like hard rock guys and metal guys did never like Billy Squire. Yeah, yeah, no, it was more. And he was on tour at that time with Def Leppard, and he was headlining. And Def Leppar was just breaking now with that Pyromania record. With old rock of ages and all those hits. And people were leaving. Like he was, as soon as Def Leppard was done because they were on their rise,
Starting point is 00:09:48 he was blowing him off the stage and people were like, we're not going to go see that after that video. You got to be kidding me. They would leave. You know who's really bad right now? Oh, I just saw the Bumby out. Adam Ant is performing again. But he's dressing like Adam Ant from back in the day.
Starting point is 00:10:05 But he can't move. Like his body can't, you know, he just stands there and you see him reading his songs, which are the simplest songs ever. And he's, oh, there he is, right? Look at him right over to the left. He just stands there and like hops up and down a little bit. That's what he does.
Starting point is 00:10:24 He just, that's his moves now. That's the only move he can do. Yeah, he's looking at the lyrics. And then he spins around, and I feel bad for rock stars because all their asses go away and they have that flat shovel ass that doesn't look good in leather anymore. Well, they still wear girl pants too, isn't it? And you know what? All these rock stars still wear vests.
Starting point is 00:10:44 Vests were in from like 1997 to 19, maybe 98, maybe a year, and they still wear them. Whatever the first three-year run of Beverly Hills 902 and O was, was when that was okay, vests were an okay. Yeah, I remember had the best. It looks like Corey Feldman now. Absolutely. It's, uh, oh yeah, they're not changing the clothes is pretty fucking rough. Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:11:06 I mean, the people that, like, hold up good still, like, it is weird seeing all of them. It's like a smashing pumpkin show. It's like, you're watching an old guy now do his thing. Molly Cruz, fuck, it's not, I mean. Ozzie for the last several years was basically, like, standing directly in front of a monitor.
Starting point is 00:11:22 Like, Nikki Six kind of held it together for a long time, but now if you watch them, it's like, ah, shit, Nicky's all. He's got that little gobble thing under his neck. How's, uh, how's, did you get to see the Twisted Sister with Sebastian Bach? Yeah. You went? Yeah. My buddy Joey is the drummer, uh, Joey Cassattuck. Okay, yeah, he was on the show Z rock with. He was in the band that the show Z rock was about. Yeah, yeah. So that's how he met Sebastian Bach was through the show. And so, yeah, Joey's now the drummer for Twissister and Sebastian Bach. And they do, they call it Twisted Sister and then, they call it Twisted Sister and then, like, Sebastian Bach's names, like, written in it somehow because they also do, like, like,
Starting point is 00:11:57 five or like four or five. They did two, to Skid Row song. Just two. Yeah, I remember you and Youth Gone Wild. 18 in life. 18 in life.
Starting point is 00:12:06 Yeah, they did those two. They did them at the end, but it was good. Look, I saw them back in the clubs when I was like 15 years old, Twissid sister. They're only doing like eight shows. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:12:16 They're originally supposed to do a whole Europe tour when Dee Snyder was, you know, committed to, and then when he's out, they go, all right, we have eight casino gigs to do. This was just a warm-up gig. How was he? Is there a beef now?
Starting point is 00:12:26 It was good. Is there a beef now? with T. Snyder and Sebastian Bacher? No, because they're friends, and D actually said, yeah, go do the games. Yeah, I saw a video, D was like, God bless, do you think? Was he as good? Is Sebastian still got it? Sebastian still has it, I mean.
Starting point is 00:12:40 Is he still a little chubby? No. Did he lose some weight to get back on stage? Yeah, he's not, I don't know. Was he ever chubby? Yeah, he got fat for a minute, yeah. Yeah, no, he could still sing, man. He could still hit those notes.
Starting point is 00:12:51 How's his scarecrow hair? Still scarecrow. Did he put some water or some stuff in it? His hair and face are all fucked up, but you can still sing. Yeah, he could still sing. His hair used to be so fucking great. Oh, yeah, he was gorgeous. I said, did you ever meet that?
Starting point is 00:13:05 Now it looks like he belongs on a porch on Halloween. Did you ever meet that Big Val? Was that his name of the guy who was like Ozzy? I never met him. He was telling me, I met him through Craig Gas, and he was telling me stories of Sebastian Bach being young. He said what he used to love to do, like, after shows him, was go to, like, if it was like a Navy bartain.
Starting point is 00:13:26 like those kind of like like you know military tampa then he'd go to the fucking military bars the girls would all of course like run over to fucking him and he would do the thing and then until the guys got pissed off and then Sebastian buck would just be like Val handle this I'm leaving with these girls or whatever and then he said one night he just quit he said the bar the bouncer was like that I'm not fighting seven guys right for you because I quit and he walked away he goes I go what happened he goes he's alive so I guess he got out of it somehow he's like But it wasn't through me. He was like, that was it.
Starting point is 00:13:58 And then he just hates me, Sebastian Bach. But wrongful. Oh, he still, he always has problems with people. And then he'll forget him. Oh, I'm sure he would forget him. If he runs into you, he'll have no problem with that. He might not remember who I am for sure. And certainly probably doesn't remember the incident at all.
Starting point is 00:14:12 But it was pretty funny. Were you there when we did that Corey Taylor roast at Rock in the Range? Okay, so we roasted Corey Taylor from Slipknot. I think you told me this when I told you he had a problem with me. Yeah, so Sebastian at the last minute, someone couldn't show up. So they put Sebastian and everyone just started writing jokes about Sebastian. Because you didn't have too much on Cory Taylor. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:30 You know, there's a couple little things. So everyone just went after Sebastian the whole time. And Don Jameson was up there and he just said some like joke about like him being pussy whipped or something like that. And Sebastian had a cup of coffee and from like that all the far left of the dais, whipped it and hit Don right in the face and went all over the podium and everything. And he stormed out of there. And he got on a plane in the morning. He's screaming at his management. Why the fuck would you put me on there?
Starting point is 00:14:53 He goes, it's a roast. He goes, they were making fun of me. He's like, yeah, that's what that it's about. So he didn't talk to Don for years. What would you rather happen? Would you rather have, like, that situation happened to you where you get embarrassed, like, a physical thing doesn't hurt, but you're humiliated and then it can kind of go how it's going to go?
Starting point is 00:15:12 Or would you rather how Jamie Fox did that comedian Doug Williams? Remember that at the roast? I get coffee in the face. I don't care if it's hot. If it was really, like, burnt all my skin off my face. Yeah. I'd rather have that. I'd rather get attacked
Starting point is 00:15:25 than dominated by somebody killing at me. Another comic fucking just killing me on a roast. I'd rather have some temperamental fucking bitch. Do you know the bit? No, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:15:37 So I think his name's Doug Williams, I believe. Oh, God. He, uh, I think he still works. I think he's a fuck, but he, it was a shack roast. They did years ago and Jamie Fox was on it. And Doug Williams just got up there and just never caught a rhythm. You know what I mean? Like, the crowd wasn't on his side.
Starting point is 00:15:50 There's a lot of celebrities there. I think people were a little like, who is this guy, which I know that nerves. And he just starts doing Ben. He says something about Jamie Fox. He has to make fun of Jamie Fox and just bombs. And then Jamie Fox is talking over him, but going like, it's his voice in his head.
Starting point is 00:16:05 He's going like, what am I doing here? Oh, no. Jamie Fox had a microphone. I better try to say another joke. And then that guy would say something and he would go, ooh, that one didn't work either. I'm starting to sweat. I'm your conscience.
Starting point is 00:16:19 And he just keeps doing that. And I mean, watching people, like, And they're just showing women, particularly around you, like laughing definitely at you, and you have the floor and you can't do anything about it. It's watching the other comics, like, laugh, trying not to laugh at what Jamie was doing, because they were trying to.
Starting point is 00:16:36 Monique, just big, fat, black laughing at your face. During his roast, there was slapping Jamie. Like, fuck, that was a good one. It was terrible. Yeah, I'd rather to coffee. Oh, but here's a thing. Yeah, yeah, because you can make a choice then to attack, but no matter what, if you leave,
Starting point is 00:16:52 If your sets over at that point, you could definitely leave. Because you can go, it's like, yo, you're not going to throw shit at me, or you could attack back, or you could do whatever. You're not just going to sit there. He has to just sit there and keep going like, fine. Whatever, man. That's like when Keith bombed on the roast, on the Patrice roast. Yeah, but that was filmed by fucking flip phones.
Starting point is 00:17:14 Oh, my God, dude. He bombed, and there's something about bombing in front of comics that you can't stop. Like, you can't stop. You got to get him. And that's what this guy thought. You can, he's going to get him. And then he's, didn't he do like, he just did something off the cuff.
Starting point is 00:17:31 Yeah, he went off the top of his he said, he goes, I didn't write, because I don't have to write for this. I know these motherfuckers. He went to, and then just, yeah, Keith did this. Yeah, Keith did that. And this guy's, this is the worst.
Starting point is 00:17:41 I don't think this guy tried to wing it. He just didn't catch. There's one line where he tried to come back at, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. And it just. Jamie Foxy, it goes, no. Oh, he had a fucking, he, tried to slam him just being funny and it just went nowhere.
Starting point is 00:17:55 I'd like to thank Shaq. Well, actually Shaq didn't invite me. I snuck in this motherfucker and just blend it in with everybody. Shack, give it up for Shaq. He's got to give it up for Shaq. He's panicking already. Yeah. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Did you believe as big as he is, this motherfucker complained all year about his toe? And I can't believe something. 7-1 was complaining about a toe. All that money this niggas's making, he complaining about a toe. You could cut my foot off and I'd still run up and down the damn court for the kind of money they pay a check. And I know how you hurt your toe, Shaq. Big-ass Shaq is driving a little bitty Ferrari.
Starting point is 00:18:42 Can you believe this big nigga can fit into a little bit of Ferrari? That's how you hurt your toe trying to get in that Ferrari. Get you a real car. A real car. Ferrari's a real car. That's a great car. I have a Honda Court. I think it's a good car.
Starting point is 00:18:56 Yeah. Ford Rangers. So here's where it starts going. I thought that was funny. Go back. I think someone says something behind it that gets the, what you see the, like, Shaq laughing is about something somebody said behind it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:19:09 That's how you hurt your toe trying to get in that Ferrari. Get you a real car. Oh, that's what it is. That's Jamie Fox laughing like that. Like the one person when no one lands, you're going, ah, ha. It's not of a dick. It's a very dick move. It's a dick move.
Starting point is 00:19:27 But that's what Shaq is laughing at that they're laughing at him bombing. That's a dick move. Of course, the whole thing's a dick move. I don't think you should do this. I don't remember that part. I don't think you should do this. But I love watching it.
Starting point is 00:19:39 I don't think you should fist fight, but I love watching ones I'm not in. I thought that was funny. Go ahead. And Jamie. Get you a real cop. And Jamie, we're happy for you. You didn't been in what?
Starting point is 00:19:52 Two hit movies. Y'all get it? You've been in two hit movies we have. because you got off to a slow start, nigga. Nobody here saw Held up or bait. Did anybody here see Held up or bait? Nigger, thank God you got an alley. Nicarg, thank God you got an alley.
Starting point is 00:20:07 Oh, you're great. Jimmy Fox, as you were saying before it, Jamie Fox is not being a good roastie, like as he's getting there. He's being a cunt about it, but he's dominating this guy. What sucks about this is, is he has that lapel mic,
Starting point is 00:20:27 and when he starts using that as a regular mic, and he just gets right into. into it and it sounds so good. It gets brutal. But he does, but it is funny because he's not giving him like anything back, but like, yeah, Jamie Fox is actually wrong in this, but that said, even watching it back, it does, like he was
Starting point is 00:20:42 not prepared at all, because all the things, it's just facts. Man, nobody saw those first movies you did. Thank God you did that other movie. Thank God you did that other movie. Yeah, he could. He goes, that's how he goes, I know you hurt your foot. You got these little ass cars. That's how you
Starting point is 00:20:58 broke your toe, getting that little ass call. Get a real car. Garari, get a real car. Yeah, why'd you get a real car? You get that little-ass call. Let me see some more. I don't hear some more of this.
Starting point is 00:21:07 Oh, it gets, this is the painful parts coming up. It's so bad, too. Hang on one second. Dick Gregory's laughing. That's what kills me is old black dudes in the back of like, ah, this fucking ass home. That's Jimmy Johnson. Yeah, Jimmy Johnson. He's got everybody on the day is laughing at Jimmy Fox.
Starting point is 00:21:26 They know it's about to come. Oh. They was talking about big women. I love big women. I love big women. I love you because you are proud of the fact that you big. You better know it. I'm tired of all these skinny bitches who won't admit that big women look good.
Starting point is 00:21:42 That's what I'm talking about. She's trying to help. I hate big women that try to hide the fact that they big. They always say, I'm just big boned. This is what he did. He went into his act. Yeah, he's doing that. He went into his act.
Starting point is 00:21:54 That act should be from 15 years before that. Dude, he went, fuck jokes, he went, I'm doing my... What, binocin? So, bone. I'm doing my closer right now. His ass meat wrapped around him. That's why I love you,
Starting point is 00:22:06 man. Big bone on this. Oh, shit. And Mike, what a hole's at, man? By the way, that pressure, no one's ever gonna... That's like a girl telling you to get hard. When that's how...
Starting point is 00:22:28 Everyone's laughing at you, and then someone goes, get him, Doug! You go, that was this... I don't think you know this. That's the seller, maybe it was on purpose, the situation you guys created at the cellar at first.
Starting point is 00:22:39 Yeah. Because that's what I would go, and they'd go, well, Jay, you're funny. Go in there, and when they start busting your balls, you go back. No, you don't get it. They're not even listening if you're funny. When you go back at them, they're all going to communally boo your thing, and then chant for you to fight back. That's what they did.
Starting point is 00:22:55 They would go, Jay, fight back. And then I go, all right, well, Voss, why don't you buy a hat that doesn't belong to a, you know, whatever horse you think is, boo! There I go. I'll be outside. I'll be outside learning how to smoke with David Tell. You should feel bad for the reason I smoked.
Starting point is 00:23:11 I didn't want to be in there. So I learned the smoke so I had a reason to stand with David Tell outside. Dude, I did an all-black room outside of Buffalo at an underground nightclub. And they were paying me thousands of dollars. And when I showed up, I knew it was going to go wrong. You weren't going to leave with it. Well, they came in. The guy picked me up in a, he picked me up in a big black,
Starting point is 00:23:31 black Chevy SUV and he literally handed me a bucket of chicken and he goes all the comics get chicken I'm just sitting... Oh, I thought I was asking you to hold it for him while he ate it and drove. He just gave me a bucket of chicken and I'm just sitting in the car going, I'm not really that hungry
Starting point is 00:23:47 I'm on a diet like... Well, that's what you get. I had a bucket of chicken. Then I go back to the room I get a knock at the door. Another huge black guy comes in. I'm here to pay you. I was like, all right, he just laid all the money on the cash on the bed. He goes, count it. I go, no, I trust you. He goes, count it. So I count out the money, it's all here.
Starting point is 00:24:03 And then I go do the gig, the guy who went up in front of me hated the fuck that he hated local guy. That he was opening. He hated it so bad. He, in front of me, was like, why the fuck you bring in these white corny motherfuckers? Before the show goes up, kills for 15 minutes, brings me up. I'm eating my dick from the second I opened my mouth. My first joke died. I think I did marshmallows, bombed.
Starting point is 00:24:29 Impossible. I swear to God. Dude, I did an hour set in fucking 12 and a half minutes. Oh, God. That just made me racist. You couldn't get it with marshmallows? Oh, my God. Lou, speak to black headquarters and talk about that.
Starting point is 00:24:41 Marshmellios? That makes every, it tickles everybody. Dude, I had a guy in the back yell some shit out at me. And I said something back and got a laugh. This guy was coming for me. The bouncers had to take him away. I did my set. I walk off.
Starting point is 00:24:54 I'm sitting there in this club. There's nowhere to go. I'm sitting there. The kid goes back up and just starts trashing me. He's like, Like I told you these corny motherfucking what. Fuck that mother. He starts to trash me.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Another big guy comes up with a microphone. He goes, yo, you got to go defend yourself. I'm like, I don't want to do that. He's like, you got to defend yourself. You got to go up there and fucking battle. I'm like, I don't battle. I'm more of a pacifist. Is this not a paid show?
Starting point is 00:25:20 The people paid to come see. Not me. You got to go out there and fight the guy. They made me sit in that club for two hours. And then finally I just said, could I get a ride back to the hotel? and the guy threw his keys to his 14-year-old cousin and say, drive him back to the hotel.
Starting point is 00:25:35 And this little kid was just driving this car. Definitely not 16. This kid driving me back to the hotel. I grabbed my money. I went to the fucking train station. I hid between a fountain and a fucking Coke machine because I thought they were coming to get my money. And I just hid there until six and the train came.
Starting point is 00:25:52 And I ran off. Being in a situation where you bomb and then you have, they want me to go up and battle. Are you fucking? out of your mind? Was it all black audience? 100%. Well, the lesson learned on black audiences because I know it's happened many times to Kurt Metzger
Starting point is 00:26:09 when we started and I learned from watching that don't go back up. No. I also had it myself when I went back up the second time when I had a chicken throw it in my face, don't go back up. When you leave and they go whenever somebody goes, listen, I'm going to go out there and get him settled down. You'll go back up and finish time and go there's no going back up. There's no going back up. There's no going back up. Because if you already left,
Starting point is 00:26:29 whatever that even if you left because you were like fuck this I'm not going to get into a fight and then you're like well I could win this like verbally when you go back up there they don't believe they're not going to give it to you because they're already they think you left as a pussy already like oh he walked off because he couldn't handle it do I mean so you'll never get in I did black rooms though I had no fear I did a lot of black rooms by Sunday night at Boston so I had that fucking black room confidence driving up there and boy did it get sucked out in fucking like three and a half seconds. I just was a corny white guy going,
Starting point is 00:27:00 marshmallow old. Was that at the laugh house in Philly? Is that when it became a black room? No, no, no. That room I learned how to do great. I mean, we had definitely rough times in there for sure. Because they would always have, they didn't want, they wanted some white people still come there, so they'd book like a white feature. I met Bob Levy
Starting point is 00:27:17 there. Yes, it'd be one white comic on the show, but he only had to do like 15 or 20 minutes. There's only like eight guys that can handle it. So I was, I was there like once a month. Oh, yeah, yeah. And I could I feel about the 13, 14, 15 minute mark they were done with me. I'd fucking plow through my material and they'd just, if you want to do 15, that's fine. And I get paid good.
Starting point is 00:27:36 It was good money. Yeah, the people I saw come through that club was version Bob Levy. Joe Madder Eastby was from Philly. So it kind of makes sense. Eddie Ifth was like featuring her headlining a week ago. I said Eddie Ift is always so funny. He's the comedian who still looks great, by the way. He doesn't age at all.
Starting point is 00:27:53 Yeah, he's the guy that hair that you thought was going to fall out 20 years. It stays perfectly messy and thin. It doesn't go away at all. He has Muppet hair. Yeah. You know what I mean? I agree. It looked like it was going to go bald, but it didn't all say.
Starting point is 00:28:05 Yeah. He has like burnt hair. You know what I mean? Like it's just on the top, it's like, that's going to go. It's just forever. But Eddie If was the first guy to tell you, I mean, things you wish you had a video of in your life,
Starting point is 00:28:16 sitting there and just him telling me, he's like, yeah, New York scenes, cool. He's like, go around. He makes 20 bucks, do a 30-minute spot at Dangerfields, swing down, go over to the comic strip. and get 20 bucks to do a spot over there. And he's talking about like a weekday run. He's like, then you get down to the comedy cellar.
Starting point is 00:28:33 And if you perform after midnight there, you get paid in foods. You could eat whatever you want, like on the house for free. And it's like, good food. And I was just like, this guy's living comedy. And I'm like, and you're making people laugh for you. I got the poetic nature of that. To me was so like, I got to get up there. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:28:52 You want to sing for your supper? I wanted to sing for my supper. Yeah, I was like, I'll big people. By the way, I didn't have any problem with that when I got to food spot. In fact, when they were like, oh, we're changing now. Everything's going to be a $20 spot. I was like, I'm just going to spend more than that on food. Like, could I just have the food still?
Starting point is 00:29:09 Because, you know, I was broke, so I'd be bringing home like, Carla, what do you want? And, you know, if Isabella's old enough, what does she want? Well, that's why they stopped doing it. Yes. Because guys like you were getting seven main course meals. The chicken kebab with the rice was awesome. Yeah, the fruit slots were best. Russ and Eve would get four meals and just eat them right there at the table.
Starting point is 00:29:28 Really? Protein'allin. Yeah, it was just, I don't know if you've noticed the energy in the room today, Jay. I don't know if you know, Jacob is like nonstop smiling the whole show. Why? Look at him. Have you ever seen like him just have a smile on? What happened?
Starting point is 00:29:43 Well, he did bet heavy on draft kings that Paco was going to quit comedy. Yeah, that's true. So he's got about a $14,000 payday coming its way. Is that what you're excited about? That's it. You won the Paco quits comedy pool? All day, I mean, your energy is nuts. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:58 Yeah. Look at loose. Everybody's... What's going on? Did you find out you're gay, so it's going to be much easier now? That was a good guess, though. Even better than that, Jay. You know what today was? No.
Starting point is 00:30:10 What? Titanic went down again? Hmm. What would make these three guys happier than anything ever? The last show ever of the bonfire? Oh. Take it back. Take it back.
Starting point is 00:30:29 No. No. They get to going with their lives again. Make this crowd happier than anything. Look at Jacob's face. Look at him, smile. Look at that. What puts that smile on Jacob's face?
Starting point is 00:30:40 Oh, it's cold that side, so we're going to start having heat on in the room a little bit. No, no. That was a good guest, too, though. Good, great guess, but no. Happier than that. I always want to think pussy. What's today's day?
Starting point is 00:30:50 What day is today? September 20. Oh, you're celebrating 12 days after 9-11, your favorite day ever. And it's not Netanyahu coming to town either. It's Wednesday. It's... Look at his face. Look at him.
Starting point is 00:31:10 Look at him. He's glowing. Is there a NASCAR event on tonight? No. Hmm. Do you see Christine naked in the bathroom by accident? No. Why is she getting naked in the bathroom?
Starting point is 00:31:21 I don't know. She's like a child. She gets fully naked. get to piss. She's like, for those, yeah, autistic children who just don't know what to do. She lifts her shirt up to her fucking neck and then pulls her face down the right.
Starting point is 00:31:33 What is it, Jacob's day? What makes Jacob the happiest? The happiest. I don't know. Oh, I know. I know. I know. I know what makes him upset. You know, I know.
Starting point is 00:31:43 I know what it was. I just figured it out, too. Jay, you know. You know. You know. The happiest. When is Jacob happy? I think it's what's today, what's today?
Starting point is 00:31:54 I mean, the happiest I've heard him is when Lugano won the event. That's the happy event. We have audio effie. Yes. It has something to do with the day at a week? Because you're saying what day? Every couple months something happens and they get whipped up. Every couple months.
Starting point is 00:32:14 Every couple months, it's a certain day. Oh. Yeah. I do know now. Got it. Oh, well, congratulations. Thank you. Do you want to come down
Starting point is 00:32:24 the story awards with you tonight? He's going to be there too. If you want to get an encore, a little encore audience with your old fucking boyfriend. Dan Soder, like a deadbeat father who left.
Starting point is 00:32:37 Yeah. Comes back once a month and takes these guys to some dump a shit fucking restaurant. Throws a burger in her mouth and Jacob treats it like it's fucking Chateaubriand. Oh, so tonight's tonight.
Starting point is 00:32:48 Today's the day. So that's why he's glow. He's floating. still from the previous meeting. I mean, literally, it's Dan Day. And I've never seen Jacob from the second you walk in. Just smile. Look at that.
Starting point is 00:33:01 He can't keep his mouth shut. I'm happy to be here. Jim's a love Jim. Yeah. DJ Lou keeps a keep, he goes low key, dresses it his B-boy style. Blah, black, Black Lou and Jacob. Look at Black Louie. Put on a button-down shirt. I think Dan makes him.
Starting point is 00:33:14 He makes him. Yeah. Yeah. He's dressed nice. And Lou won't conform. He goes, I know Lou's his own thing. Yeah. Sebastian Manascalco was here. So that's why I'm dressed this way. Oh. You're trying to get recognized as if he knows who you are.
Starting point is 00:33:26 You try to get him. Hey, I knew. Hey. You don't want to be there for you. So, you know, now canoly's? Are you that guy? Yeah. Trying to look at town.
Starting point is 00:33:34 Why are you wearing a pluma sweatsuit? That's embarrassing these days. Jacob can't stop smiling. Look at him. He can't stop. So you already went today? Yeah, yeah. We just had lunch right before the show.
Starting point is 00:33:46 How was it? He bent on his knee a little bit? It was good. We went to Oceanana right downstairs. Yeah. Yeah, he makes a nice. convenient because it's right off the train stop. We order off the menu.
Starting point is 00:33:54 It's not a big deal, though. Soda, they know our menu. Well, the first time they went to Oceada, they all sat there standing outside like fucking lost children because Soda just forgot that it was happening altogether. Forgot it. I think he was landing on a plane while they were standing out there
Starting point is 00:34:08 in the rain, mind you. They immediately changed all the food they were going to get. They had to bring it down a little bit. When they realized they had a peasant. And then they all went inside and got, yeah, these appetizers. Clam chowder. Three soles.
Starting point is 00:34:21 No apps. No apps. So they fucking... We all scaled down. Now I take some. Sodor said on the show, it's because he could take the train from his house. I mean, if the guy could show up in crocs, he would. He gets off the train, he dips in Oceana, throws a fucking little flounder in their mouth, and then gets out of dodge.
Starting point is 00:34:39 And he's the hero. I can't wait until he just pays for the meal, and then you guys go by yourselves. I hope he starts getting you guys, like, digital gift cards to Oceana. Yeah, I can't make it, so just you guys go on your own. No, but you guys, seriously, I want you to have fun. Let's get the little-ass taste here before we have to go of Jamie Fox,
Starting point is 00:34:57 because it's where he really starts going back and forth with him. You can't get some of these holes, man. You got no hose, no cocaine. Nigger, no one of this party is so dead. We want you to live this shit up. Where is he right now? We're here for Emmett Smith. That's where is the Emmett Smith roast?
Starting point is 00:35:15 Do you have any chance for him tonight? Got Toy, got everybody out of the wait, and I did too. I want to say this to Emmys Smith, man. I'm your conscience. It is a pleasure. Man, it sure did get hot in here. Am I fucking up right now? I'm your conscience.
Starting point is 00:35:37 I really don't need to be up here right now. I don't know what the fuck I was thinking. Brother, stop making money, you can't tell him shit. I'm your conscience. All right. I wish I was in a movie with Jamie. You're right about that? You are right about that.
Starting point is 00:36:00 72 hours. In fact, I don't know. In fact, I need a co-signer. Can you co-sign on a car for me? I just did another joke that didn't go over. I'm your conscience. Gregory in the back, who is 900 years old, is crack it up. They're dying.
Starting point is 00:36:21 And everyone's, There's no coming back. Some people go, get them. You go, there's no, you can't. You have to know when the fold them, dude. You know why? Because he's getting, he got mad. He could see him get like fucking mad.
Starting point is 00:36:33 You can't eat. The best you can get is slightly mad and heavily humiliated. I guess the best you could feel, because you can't do anything about it. Because, again, you're a lunatic if you go over there and start getting like, what's up, pussy? Yeah. And the thing is, no matter what line you say, you're not going to, it's too heavy this way already. You can't like tilt it back that quick. Or if you caught him early on and if you were like,
Starting point is 00:36:55 shut up, Jamie, you blah, blah, blah. If you had something confident and kind of hammered him down, you might get like the old and they'll go back and forth and figure it out. Like this is just he's Jamie Fox's bitch entirely. Yeah, even if he had the best joke about Shaq and Jamie shot off for a second, it wouldn't work at this point. No, no, no, no. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:12 No, Jamie has a bit going. Yeah, yeah, I mean? The crowd's involved. We were there for the night. Yeah, dude, he's got a thing going right now.
