Starting point is 00:00:00 And now the bonfire with Big J. Ocarson and Dan Soder. It's not in the way you say my boo! Bobby Kimball, dude. So important to a band and yet gone. Gone. They always have other people play his parts now. Some of the bitch. It's...
Starting point is 00:00:21 This guy's voice was the whole thing. Think that you say that you do. Oh, the car! Bitch, it's this guy's voice was the whole thing think that you say that you do Oh, that thing that you say that you do Dan a song rules yeah, I'm fire everybody faction talk series XM 103 big J.O. G.O.G. and so it or hanging out with our crew Very very happy with the song choices today. You're wearing Toto shirt. So we're gonna do all Toto Toto rips, man, it does and I'll tell you what a lot of it because of my algorithm Billy. Oh, Billy ocean radio. Billy. Oh radio Billy. Oh radio
Starting point is 00:00:53 Pairora and Toto if you could look this up real quick Black live you can even check it out Toto What's there like a super group. Like Wikipedia them. Oh, I don't know, anything like that. I think they were all studio musicians.
Starting point is 00:01:09 They couldn't really find a band. And so they just started a band together. And just cranked out hits, but with not any one particular famous person in the group. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. None of them was like, let's see, can you make it a little bigger? This is kind of like the opposite of what we were talking about yesterday with boy bands
Starting point is 00:01:25 And like the biggest one dying and they can't go on we're singing groups. Yeah, but this is like a thing where they do go on without the high pitch voice guy But he is the guy The biggest guy name in the band Jeff Piccaro. I don't know any of these guys Well, because he's famous Steve Luc Lucifer sounds made up. Is it? No, just sounds like all these names sound like names that you're trying to give a cop to get out. I think he's the brainchild behind it. And he does the singing that's not like he's the you know the wild dogs. Was he Rosanna? Yes. Yes. But then Bob. Not even that he's the he's the guy. What's the best Rosanna start?
Starting point is 00:02:09 All I want to do in the middle of ho, would you tie? Yeah, Rose, but then when it goes, that guy when it goes high, that's Bobby Kimble, and he's the dude, he's the voice. And then he's just out. He's just not there anymore. He doesn't do it anymore. Now, but Steve Lucas, there still goes out there and does it, but he always just has somebody else. Like there's a, one of my favorite live performances of modern era, 2012, I think it's from. Yeah. Of Africa, it's, I think the, well, no, no, that one, they still have a Bobby Kimball there.
Starting point is 00:02:38 So he only recently got, I mean, Toto's been around since the 7th. I mean, he's probably been gone for like, maybe a decade now, but it's, or close, but it's like, that might have been the last two or he's ever done with them. Man. I've noticed that as I get older. You know, like in rules.
Starting point is 00:02:49 The older I get, the more like 2012 to me was like yesterday. Last week, yeah, I know. You got wrong at all. And then like, when you're like, oh, 97, I'm like, I'm at 97. And then like, to a kid that's 24 is like, what? Yeah. I was fucking born then? What are you talking about? So there it is.
Starting point is 00:03:09 Bobby Kimball was with aliens. The movie aliens? Yeah. You feel like it was just six. But you feel like it just came out yesterday? Remember seeing it. Yeah. How is this that old?
Starting point is 00:03:20 Listen to this, look at this whirlwind of life right here. So there he goes. David and Jeff for the band played together Recession musicians on several albums and decided to form a band David Huntgate Steve Lucas III and Steve Fikara and Bobby Kimball so Steve Luther and Luther and Bobby Kimball were like the people you'd recognize from the band I'd say they're okay most of you saw something you know They were recruited before the release of the bands's debut album in 1978, led by the single Hold The Line, huge, which we just opened the show with. It brought a mainstream attention and then their fourth album, which brought a global attention
Starting point is 00:03:57 with Africa, top to Billboard charts, and then Rosanna reached number two. They were the best, one of the-selling music groups of the era. Pretty cool. It's just fucking a bunch of dudes. It would have been great if you Patrick Bateman murdered me right after you said that. You see Steve Lucather, a lot of people believe, was in the band from the get-go. Steve Lucather actually joined after two session musicians decided to start a band named Toto. Dan, don't just look at it eat it
Starting point is 00:04:30 Bobby Kimble left the group in 2012 and a lot of people don't know that hey Dan A lot of people refer to him as the voice of Toto hey Hey, Dan a lot of people don't know about Tonda 2004. They like different lives. Hey, man. Yeah, they rule, dude. And it's not just because I'm a big fan of BiliO Radio on Pandora. I'm pumping our sister company. I'll tell you what, you're, I'm going to check out BiliO Radio at some point.
Starting point is 00:05:04 You're gonna love it. It's always gonna start with the Billy Ocean song, right? Oh, hois. Oh, hois. If you're lucky, it's lover boy. No, if you're lucky, it's lover boy is my top Billy Ocean radio. Billy Ocean song, lover boy. Name three others. It's Caribbean Queen. Okay. I'll accept that even. That's the obvious obvious one and get into my car my get my dreams to my car sure All right, it's three now it's three more. Oh Jace one more dude, there's I can get one more I Didn't know that was really oh yeah when the
Starting point is 00:05:42 I would know them all because obviously I'm big on Billy O'Ratio. I don't like a group of men being described as, or things described as rough. Well, we said that yesterday with new kids on the block. Well, because yeah, we get rough. I don't mind the word ROUGH. I don't like when I know they're saying it, R-U-F-F. Hey, rough. We're rough and tough. Huff, huff, huff, huff, huff. Yuck. it are you ff rough we're rough and tough half of a yuck I want to be a pop
Starting point is 00:06:09 but there'll be no besmirching billiottion on this y'all but don't be happy captain fuller can do whatever he likes this is black people with sweaters and red wine music love it dude this is the kind of black dude that my mom dated in San Francisco I damn right it is dude. She goes do you know he knows John Taylor? And you go all right. Do Billy Ocean is leather driving gloves music? Yeah, we go. Patricia, I'm surprised you've never had this car go before.
Starting point is 00:06:35 Yeah, it's a guy wearing a, it's a guy wearing a DJ Lou Hatton leather gloves. Yeah. Oh dude, I would have killed to have a better ocean stepdad. Dude, Cleveland show nailed that so go and Cleveland was in a rush to get his car and he goes, Oh, and my driving gloves are at the leather Smith. And then the leather Smith shows up on on a horseback and carriage. He gives him two pumpkins as tender. I give you these two pumpkins as tender. Ocean rules. For sure, dude, but it is adult contemporary black love making music.
Starting point is 00:07:07 Yeah, I don't know why it speaks to my white suburban soul. It really is, dude. Like if you're a... In a knee, you know. This is having sex on silk sheets under a comfort that's got a picture of a big cat on it. And you know what? A puma or a panther? And it's a lot of one hand with another hand bridging it. Totally. Yeah, yeah, breathing together.
Starting point is 00:07:30 This is the love of stew. Oh, oh, oh, oh, what a hojo. What a hojo. Dude, a day in a lop of stew. Dude, if all our listeners please only fuck the billi-ocean this week. Damn. Teasuper Black or his teeth crazy white? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:07:44 What else to? He's on tour. Suddenly life has new. Who's that? Is that the girlfriend of W.W. did everybody folks? The billi-ocean also? It's his daughter. No, it's someone else.
Starting point is 00:07:59 My daughter and legendary singer. Got to meet billi-ocean. Those teeth stayed pearly. Good on him. He's gotta be. Well, you know what I'm done with this. I'm always done with this what age no teeth I'm always like you have perfect teeth like they're fake. Yeah. Oh, yeah, that makes sense Which by the way ever since I stopped bragging to I stopped I stopped complimenting people's perfect teeth because I think I'm about eight out of ten They're always like no no my teeth were like I knocked out or something or whatever. And this is fake. Ever since I got the science to pay, I've looked and I've been like I can see who's not you know what I mean? You can see it now. You're like
Starting point is 00:08:32 oh so funny Dan that you will have a career trajectory of someone's gonna make that article of like your hair differences through the years. Yeah, I'm then I can know because then I can just play the show. I know but didn't strike me. It didn't strike me what was happening to you the years. Yeah, and then I can just go. So fun, because then I can just play the show. I know, but it didn't strike me. Or the stand up that I do. It didn't strike me what was happening to you so much. Yeah, upon your, you know, I know you're, what do you call it, you're in security about it.
Starting point is 00:08:54 Yeah, or your complaints rather about it. And it's just seeing it now so far because you really do such a thick, lush head of hair. I mean, it's just really funny. I want to go back to the low-hairline now. No, it's still the same. It still, it goes back. It's just really funny. I wanna go back to the dog room. You have a low hair line now. No, it's still the same. It goes back. It's just when it's long when my hair's long.
Starting point is 00:09:09 It feels like, it feels, yeah, dude. It's full. Yeah, what's funny is I wanna go back to the doctor and be like, you did too good of a job, you asshole. Could you grow it long? I probably, yeah. Dan, go for it, dude. Go long hair.
Starting point is 00:09:22 Yeah, man, button that shit. No. I think it's like a grow long, then. I wanna go skater 90s, shave under. Dan go for it dude go long here. Yeah man button that shit. No There's let it go long then. I want to go skater 90s shave under. Oh, no, and go because I will say this and I do and ask questions about this actually. Yeah, I watched My first baseball game front to back yesterday. Yeah, first times since I was a child probably world series game 1996 or seven so what I'm talking about, 20 some years. Really? Since I've watched the big, yeah, watch the baseball game for a few years.
Starting point is 00:09:49 Well, baseball games have you ever, have you gone to one? Yeah, when I was young, I used to go. But like not in that time. The last time I probably went, I was in my late 18, like 18, 19. Okay. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:10:00 Yeah. Something like that, right around the time I was starting comedy. Probably still go to baseball game here and there, but because it was cheap also, you could sit at a baseball game for 12 bucks at that time. Oh, fucking hey, dude. I remember growing up in Denver. Hot dogs were still like, honestly,
Starting point is 00:10:14 like, hot dogs were like a buck or two and like. I was in a Rockies fan, but when the giant, it's the 90s, it wasn't even like, Shades of the, it was $9. Yeah, that's the rock pile at Cours Field. You could like, if the giants were in town. I'd want to go see them So I go down to course field and pay like ten bucks because sit the fucking rock pile You know's bleed who gives a shit your kid you couldn't give a fuck. I thought it was great
Starting point is 00:10:34 You're just waiting for catch a home runner if I'll well, it's a guy there I watched I watched one game ever from iverson low court ever That's awesome all of iversons years. I said most of the games I'd say set like in the top row Yeah, because especially because when it wasn't sold out and if we were in like The 15th instead of the last 30th row of up top if we were in row 15 And there was like people anywhere near us at all. I'm like, dude. Let's go own up there Yeah, I mean stretch out like feet on the tape on the chairs in front of us We're so funny is the nachos everywhereically the nuggets were so bad right before the Pepsi
Starting point is 00:11:09 Center because the Pepsi Center got built because of pretty much the avalanche. The avalanche and nuggets are owned by the same guy and they like built the Pepsi Center because the abs one two were they won a Stanley Cup and McNickles Arena was old as fuck. But when I used to go to McNickles Arena and the nuggets sucked sucked you'd buy the tickets that were up top by the third quarter you could sit six rows back from the fucking court yeah cuz it would know what was that i went to a sons nuggets game one time and we got second row play i had to put antonio mcdice i just remember a tonia mcdice was playing for the Suns after nuggets monster dunker He had like six dunks that were on ESPN and I was like, oh, we're like the second row of that game That's awesome. That was in high school. Yeah, it was fucking great But I but baseball is a fun sport baseball is a sport. I saw two games I was low because I was at the one his rookie year
Starting point is 00:11:56 That was the tickets my buddies mom's boyfriend gave us the lawyer. That was all that was the crossover Jordan game Oh, you were at that. I've said that on the show a bunch of times. Well yeah, I was like guess what I was like you get an honest earnest reaction half court row 15 dude Jesus, yeah, it was awesome. I was there for the cross the three times He got him or the third time you got him rather yeah, he didn't fall for twice and then he got him so good So cool. Oh, but anyway, I so I watched this game last night Fill these Astros fill these Astros were on Nothing has made me want to bring back more long hair than watching a baseball game.
Starting point is 00:12:32 You're watching all the cool guys. Long hair. Brandon Marsh has got a long, he's got a long beard. I love it. And a long hair. His hair's always wet. He wets it on purpose.
Starting point is 00:12:41 Yeah. You know he's doing that on purpose. Well, he's got to go spritz it. Yeah, nobody. Nobody. First inning of the game, he's done nothing. His first you know he's doing that on purpose. Well, he's got to go spritz it. Yeah, nobody First inning of the game. He's done nothing as first it bad his hair is soaking the back It's definitely he wets his hair. So it looks cool. I just I have no problems with that. I love them on the angels I love them when he got traded the fillies. He's dead dad club as he always looked like that And he started growing it out. I don't know. I don't look him up. I know he's the whole time
Starting point is 00:13:02 I've known known about rules I know look him up. I know he's the whole time I've known about rules That long hair and yes, so a bunch of marches because I've long hair Here's what I'm not fully understanding and this crosses any racial lines of X is not Hispanic black or white in particular Yeah, look at him. Yeah, with the angels. He's still had that fucking Every and I mean every player on the field has a Every and I mean every player on the field Has a expensive chain. Yeah, that's like even Bryce Harper who's Mormon and like 100% of them He's got it all like three chains. What's funny? One hundred four guys have to and also the thing about it most of them also seem to have it being a very aware of
Starting point is 00:13:41 problem During the game they put it in a hundred but pictures, after every pitch they got to go. Yeah. They go and they, and they adjusted and put it back in. Every run, every, I'm like, take it the fuck off. Now dude, it's kind of their thing. That's like the thing in baseball is like having a fuck. It is.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Yeah, like having a chain. You know, Jacob? Yeah. It's just everybody's like rocks of chain. Everybody does. And it's fun. Sometimes you can accessorize more in baseball than any other sports other sport and really it's a boring game. So you got to accessorize it I got that bling what's funny is baseball has the most amount of dorky white dudes Outside of a quarterback college or football quarterback. Mm-hmm a
Starting point is 00:14:20 Majority of dorky white dudes play baseball. Yeah, get to the majors and it's funny when dorky white guys have chains. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. And they aren't avertly religious, like sometimes they wear like the B, you know what I mean? They're like different things, but. It did take me back to watching that game as so funny like experiencing baseball, cause I got into it.
Starting point is 00:14:36 I was enjoying the game very much. I mean, there was a fucking slaughter. It was a slaughter, so that's why I for sure. It was like a home run derby the first four years. It was great, but that said also it took me back to remember. I'm like, man, some guys really have bizarre batting stances. Oh my God, that was the most fun thing. So growing up.
Starting point is 00:14:55 I mean, like I know mimicking people's bad things. We used to play, we used to do Vaughn Hayes. We was like the super stretch down. My favorite one was Kirby Pucket. Move on, you keep the bat, you do like that, or like a resting it. But the Jeff Kitt. I favor order. Turn me pocket move on. Yeah. Keep the bat. You do like that or like a resting it. But the, but I'm surprised how many like when a guy looks cool, they seem to get like in a more like scary like video game,
Starting point is 00:15:15 like sluggish dance. And when a guy like Reese Nichols, who cracked the home yesterday. Yeah. Um, he's a dorky looking guy, at least in his uniform. He is. And his stance is like where he's like, he's just stand straight up. It's like, it's like, it's just, he's a dorky looking guy at least in his uniform he is and his stance is like He's like he's a stand straight up and like and then right as the pitches coming in like everything changes But like it starts off with like I don't want to be here Yeah, and then don't make me do it Chuck the block. I thought we used to have a fucking I feel like we were taught in baseball a very specific way that's the correct way. I don't know. I was a terrible baseball, but I was pretty good at that. I was not.
Starting point is 00:15:50 I was I was not I was I was a good outfielder in the sense that I'm not afraid. You know, I'll go to the ball and catch. I had a good eye. Yeah. I could I could hand I coordination and I can crack the fucking ball. Here's what I was I was in field. Yeah, terrified of the ball. Yeah, it's catching a fucking line drive. I just saw a hopper and it's all I thought about if I ever had to come like sub first base or something like that. Like it was something where I was like, well, you're too afraid of it. I don't mean this is a mean thing. I'm building a first base. You built like first base. You John Cruck. I would. I would.
Starting point is 00:16:26 I would tell you right now out of everyone in the room, I would say DJ Liu feels like you'd be the best at baseball among us. Were you good at baseball? I was. I was decent, but I only made JVN ever made varsity. Let me tell you something right now. High school baseball. Very difficult.
Starting point is 00:16:38 So that means you are good at baseball. I mean, they were pros. I was just a little fat kid. No, but I remember growing up. I went when when you know like they did coach pitch, it was like T ball, then coach pitch, and then fucking kids start throwing. And then when the kids start throwing heat,
Starting point is 00:16:54 that was when I got nervous, where I was like, oh, fuck, still remember this day, this kid's remain rice, just had a fucking gun and no control. You just hear it, hit that chain link, fucking backstop, and you're like, oh boy, and he was on my friend Johnny's team, the royals. And when we played him, you just get in the box
Starting point is 00:17:12 and you be like, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. And that was the age where I started sucking a baseball because later in the season, I got hit in the ribs and it just made me be like, you're mind out of it. Every time I was batting, I was, but then what's crazy is I got, when we play in the neighborhood, I was pretty lights out, I was batting. I was, but then what's crazy is I got when we play in the neighborhood.
Starting point is 00:17:25 I was pretty lights. I was pretty lights out. I was fucking good. We play in like when we played the parko, whatever. I was like, and there was no pressure. I was having fun. Fielding and then McDaniel played seventh eighth grade ball. And eighth grade, he's like, oh, they're doing midseason tryouts.
Starting point is 00:17:40 You should come try out and you can get on my team, me or Byron's team. And then you can play the second half of the season. And I was like doing well in the neighborhood ball. I was like, fuck you, Alcomb. And I tried out, and I was fine fielding. I think they put me like out, I was like fielding out, field I did second and first base. And then batting, I was like, I'm fucking, I'm back, baby.
Starting point is 00:17:58 I'm like getting contact, not hitting power, but I'm hitting for, I'm just hitting. And then dude, I got put on a team with these kids that I didn't know, I'm just hitting. And then dude, I got put on a team with these kids that I didn't know, and they were good. I was on like, one of the best teams drafted me in the mid season draft. I didn't know any of these kids,
Starting point is 00:18:14 and they were all so good at baseball that I started to crumble, dude. I mentally crumbled, couldn't get a hit. And the other kids are like, Soda socks like that, and I'd be like, I was just like, I'm getting that Ben socks like that and I'd be like I got that Ben Simmons heart dude Fuck you. I ain't Ben Simmons don't ever call me Ben Simmons I said Benny Simmons heart fuck that shit. I just locked up now I'm not what would be fun to really do because you do lose it and I know I could tell you the things
Starting point is 00:18:38 I haven't lost it in for sure But I'd be curious with this crew of people in here and maybe everybody can do all these things But I'd be curious with this crew of people in here and maybe everybody can do all these things But see everyone how they throw a baseball how they catch a baseball throw a football Shoot a basket. Yeah, I'll be fine doing all that. That'd be all fun things I want to do you think you have all those mechanics down Jacob. Yeah Baseball is my sport really. Did you play baseball in high school? Just a little league. Yeah, Yeah. But I mean, I still, when we go down the Florida, that's all we do. It's just play baseball and hit the ball.
Starting point is 00:19:11 Okay. You know what's fun? You know what I love watching this and I've watched, obviously, this playoffs much more than I have in recent years because of Katie. But when they show the bull pin, when they show the guys warming up, a sound that's very nostalgic for me is when you hear that fucking Snap of the leather when they're like throwing it and then you can hear like the Flapp like that and you're like damn that guy can fucking put one on do you remember playing black? Blue did you play baseball growing up? Yeah, I played a little league Yeah, and I was really good in C. Lee coaches pitch. I was fucking nasty Yeah, coach pitch your life. I was nasty you can tee off all that and then that next that next year when guys got puberty and started fucking man
Starting point is 00:19:49 Remember the first kid to throw a curveball. Remember the first time seeing a kid throw a curve ball And I was like what fucking what is this? I played I played him up to American Legion. Would you play an American Legion? Which is by the way American Legion you were good at baseball if you get to the vet Yeah, yeah, the veteran stadium we got the plan the one time. Dude, did you do like Mickey Manel leagues in shit? Like travel teams? No.
Starting point is 00:20:09 No, no, it was always a one park. Okay. But we got the play to vet when our American Legion think. But it was, anyway, what's crazy will be fun in this competition we're talking about here? I'll do a home run derby. Well, I would too, but here's what I'll tell you that I'm afraid of it, because I don't know if I ever said this in the show,
Starting point is 00:20:26 but I just got taken back to it. Because everything I just said, I was like throw baseball, shoot a basketball, throw and catch a baseball. I think we straight up fucking put on pads and play Oklahoma. And then I'll fucking stand in a motherfucker. Here's what I do.
Starting point is 00:20:40 So when we played those minor league stadiums with Berkreicher, right? Yeah. Our last Last show I think of the whole tour the players came out awesome dudes Yeah, and they were like so nice and fun. They were like these AAA double-A single-A stadiums triple-A okay So one below. Yeah, I won't blow the majors. Yeah Yeah, 18,000 seat
Starting point is 00:21:01 Garinas, you know, yeah more some of them But like so those guys came out and they were talking about in Bas, you know, yeah, more some of them. But like, uh, so those guys came out and they were talking about and Bert, you know, loves baseball. Yeah, he's trying to get that one day contract. Yeah, exactly. So he had burnt once to like, uh, play baseball and he loves it. And he's just, you know, also, it's the personality is not a guy. I was like, I'll go try whatever.
Starting point is 00:21:18 I am always like worried about the optics of everything. So those guys were like, yeah, and earlier in the day, we were having baseball catches and shit, I was having a ball with that. A blast having a big baseball catch. So fun. And then still could throw the ball far, hard, accurate. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:36 And then they were like, hey, he's gonna come and let us hit some balls. And then come on, Jay, let's get him trying to get me to do it with him. Yeah. And then I was like, well, you go first, dude. You go for it. And it and birthday and birth was like connected on a few and really getting a hold of some of them and then He goes Jay come on. I'll come over here I was like, ah, I guess with my all you I gotta work this week and my arms gonna be thrown out in a heartbeat the reality of
Starting point is 00:21:57 Why I didn't want to do it is because I? Don't remember if I know the mechanics of like swinging about to hit a ball anymore. Dude, we'll go to a bad in case you'll have it in three swings. Maybe. I'm telling you, I don't like remember the tight, and when I watched last night, again, you're watching the pros there, but the thing looks impossible. I'm like, it's so fast to make a decision on. Well, it's crazy when they talk about their decision making that they actually make while
Starting point is 00:22:24 they're batting, where they're like, oh, that's high in inside. I'm going to swing it that where you're like, didn't even know that was going right. Exactly. Oh, no. No, no. Back. Do you know that I think it's scientifically they can't explain how badders can hit a baseball because they're determined that the brain cannot make a decision that fast. But they do. It's crazy. That's why I love baseball. They do. that the brain cannot make a decision that fast, but they do it's crazy. That's why I love baseball. They do and the guys that are so it's not like exactly when a guy is like 70 home runs in a year. You're like, it wasn't just lucky 70 times that he happened like he connected. He knows how to get into it. And that's pretty impressive. I do think I've lost them. And that was my
Starting point is 00:23:02 thing when I was younger. I could hit. That was why I was always on the teams because I said my fielding was like I Just strong on but they put me off again right feel right feel baby Right feel the hang out but the thing about right feels like Where I fucking world what did you play? I was outfield, but I was still I was still I still live for right I still live for the ball. We're a we're a whole line of a route. Feelers dude Fucking right field right what did you play center? Center field you have to have a you gotta have a fucking arm sure yeah, I feel so I'm so right field That's what I have
Starting point is 00:23:32 So least amount of damage It's a lot of handed hitters that'll never come to you. Yeah a lot of foul balls. He catch when I got cocky playing Restaurant softball. I was like you could put me in that field But yeah right field That was my jam. But I used to think I could throw, I was, but I have the reason I was like good on, I would clean up a lot. Yeah, dude.
Starting point is 00:23:53 I was for a spot. You got that crook, dude. I could hit, but I don't know. Yeah, man, that just, it seems, I'll tell you what it was. Maybe a decade ago now or so. I think I might have been Nate. Maybe I was Nate.
Starting point is 00:24:04 I think we went to batting cages at Chelsea peers Gary and T you did because Nate does that shit and I don't know where he is dude. He's big time with us big dog but I He hasn't checked it. I figured out wall because why you guys are lucky for me to grace your radio show But he he does that shit all the time right so before we go to batting cages go carts and shit maybe yeah, but he he does that shit all the time. When I still perform, we go to batting cages, go carts and shit. Maybe. Yeah. So while he, uh, so it might have been Nate in a couple of us went like Chelsea peers are somewhere downtown more on
Starting point is 00:24:34 the West side was it was the West side. Baden cages and we got and I was just like, I think I stepped into I think it went from 90 to 80 to 70. Because I was like 90 was an impossibility. You should have done the opposite. Yeah, you should have built it. 80, and then I got in front of 80, maybe I touched a few, but we went, I got to 70, I was just like,
Starting point is 00:24:51 oh, I don't think I have this anymore. Like, I'm standing there, like, I kind of feel, like I don't know what to do, it's bizarre. I do, we'll go to the party. I lost the oof. Let's go to batting kids. I bet, no, if you could hit when you were a kid, you can hit now.
Starting point is 00:25:02 Cause I, I can hit now, and I couldn't hit when I was a kid. you can hit now. Because I, I can hit now and I couldn't hit when I was a kid. I can connect, but like now I can actually hit, because I, because there's no nerves, the nerves of like, of course, yeah. Dude, I'm telling you right now, there is these two twin brothers. I think the nerves where I put on myself then too. I walk into a bad occasion, I go like,
Starting point is 00:25:17 oh, maybe I can get a whole lot of trouble. Yeah, it's fun. I know, I think when I did it at the time, it was still a thing where you were like, I don't want to be the asshole who can't hit here and like Nate's hitting him and whoever else who is hitting him. I'm like, you don't want to be the asshole who can't hit here and like Nate's hitting them and whoever else is hitting them. I'm like you don't want to be the jerk off who's not good at it. The pressure shifts.
Starting point is 00:25:29 I remember going to that good team in these kids, the new niz brothers, they were like all state, they turned out to be all state basketball and baseball players and they were just like this kid's son. I was just like, I'm gonna get fucking it again. I'm not drawing Andreas to his boys. Now they play for the Mariners, you're fucking hitting it again. I'm not drawing Andreas to his boys. Now they play for the Mariners, they're late in their career. Let's go to the fucking batting cages.
Starting point is 00:25:50 I'm gonna go batting cages. Can we add another thing to the competition? I don't know if you guys remember the old school on Punt Pass and Kick. Yeah, dude, I hear competitions. So what's crazy is my, when my uncle had taken to Broncos games, I feel like I always saw the Punt Pass and Kick. I feel like McDaniel did well at those
Starting point is 00:26:07 It's a it was a competition the NFL did it half time on it you'd pawn it you'd pass it and you'd kick it And they do the kids and then is passing accuracy or distance Distance So punt pass and what's the kick it through a field goal? Yeah Punt pass and kid I don't know if I have where's that old logo bring up that old fucking logo I don't know if I have any ability to aim or kick with any consistency of field goal It's it seems ridiculous. My friend Chad that I listen to stern classic Chad classic Chad Unbelievable kicker in high school. Like 55 yards, field goals.
Starting point is 00:26:45 Yeah, like played at Northern Colorado. He was their kicker and punter. The mechanics of that makes no sense to me. He would do it in practice and I'd be like, how the fuck are you doing that? He had like a kicking coach. They used to play for the Broncos, this rich carless. He used to kick barefoot and he would come and like
Starting point is 00:27:03 work with Chad on the weekends. And then he would just fucking bang. Hey Dan, kick barefoot and he would come and like work with Chad on the weekends and then he would just fucking bang Hey, Dan feel like a barefoot kick now, do you but he could his leg up? You know when you kick he back His leg would fucking go up, but I do a punt pass kick with you guys. I'll do a punt pass and kick We're gonna have to do a sat a Sunday somewhere. That's fun. We'll go to like Chelsea Pierce or something I gotta tell you this one story well I grew up in the mall borough, New Jersey. Go my stings. Shout out, Cowboys, dying of cancer. And there was this, I might still be there. It's a Grand Slam batting cages. It was in the
Starting point is 00:27:37 middle of like an industrial park. They never showed a sign, so you just had to know it was there but it was a suburban area but we used to go there all the time to hit and they would stay open late like you could go late but one night they weren't open and my friend went in the next day and with my brother and he said yeah we came here last night and you guys weren't open. And he said, yeah, yeah, yeah, we had the Wu Tang clan here. Oh, man. My friend, excuse me. This is Malbur, New Jersey's suburb in the middle of New Jersey. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:18 No, no, no, you said the Wu Tang clan. You didn't mean that. You mean the rap band? Yeah, yeah, they were here last night You rented out. Do you mean just nine black eyes? We're in need your masks talking a lot about kung fu Oh, dang clan Rented the place out and but and was in the use the batting cages all night
Starting point is 00:28:38 That's one that's fun to think about ODB turning it up from 80 to 90 particular This is fun to think about ODB turning it up from 80 to 90. Oh, particular. Oh, I'm gonna die. Oh, yeah. He's good for. Riza, talking through it all. You see the mind is connected to the bat. The bat is connected to the cheese. And when you find y'all, it's mind's eye in the center of all the,
Starting point is 00:28:57 oh, missed it. Every time you go next, that one went by. Can I get a sui? Yeah. Got a choke up. Time to choke up. Yeah, they will do that you know I want to see DJ and by the way everybody here in this room Jacob might have a cannon but
Starting point is 00:29:12 what's making me think about this was finding out the hard way that my father doesn't know the mechanics of throwing a football very well yeah you showed me that video and I was like show the world that video yeah it's hilarious uh well Good vibes for Gary though Gary doing well dude. He's healed up. He'll do up Yeah, I'm gonna catch you having to catch with him my bow was just that me That's all that matter But yeah, he really didn't seem to have the mechanics of throwing a football Which is weird, but I do I do have to believe Maybe not did it was like a street kid,
Starting point is 00:29:46 so I don't know if he really played a lot of football. I'll tell you what. So I'm wondering if he just really is more of a fan and doesn't actually know the mechanic. I might be assuming, but in my mind, I'm like, I have to think like, no one showed you how to throw a foot, that just seems like weird.
Starting point is 00:29:59 One of the only sports playing sports memories I had, I played catch with my dad a lot, like football, but one of the sports memories I have with my dad is a marble in his mouth and him like cranking his eyes so the smoke doesn't come in and him having a nasty shot. Nice. But we were like at the thing he was like, let me see that pal.
Starting point is 00:30:16 And he'd be like, anyway, I still got it. Because it's stuff. And then I forgot that, you know, then you remember he grew up in East Oakland, fucking playing basketball until they moved him out to the burbs and like I'll let when he Because it's stuff. And then I forgot that, you know, then you remember, you grew up in East Oakland, fucking playing basketball until they moved him out to the burbs and like I'll let when he's 11 or 12.
Starting point is 00:30:29 I want to see DJ Lou throw a big baseball. It'll be great. I can't fuck you. I believe you. Everyone thinks I'm gonna be great. I think you can be great. I think you can be great if DJ Lou or Jacob were the best athletes.
Starting point is 00:30:40 Very much. That's the best for, that's the fun. I agree, best results. Someone's here. I think you always think it's Nate This is a good conversation to have I mean Nate's athletic though. Yeah, no, no, but say it's a good conversation because he was already been in it Yeah, everybody is news that it was his special the greatest average American is streaming on Netflix Right now and the raincheck tour has some dates coming up 11-3 it's tomorrow, right?
Starting point is 00:31:03 Tomorrow Newark, New Jersey the, the Wang theater and Boston, Massachusetts. He's on his east coast to run everybody. It's the great Nate Bargazze. Everybody's up. That's it. Huh? We're having a fun. We were having a fun conversation. I think you'll enjoy is I was saying I want to see everybody here. Do like a test of athletic athleticism. And I mean an actual sport. So we're talking about passing kick, bringing that back,
Starting point is 00:31:30 you're a little batting cages. But I brought up a story. I think with you over a decade ago now at this point, we went to batting cages at Chelsea Pears. And I said I was such anxiety that day because I had him played baseball in so many years and it was swung a bat. And I felt like I was like, yeah, let's go. It'll be good. And then when I got there and saw
Starting point is 00:31:53 everybody else able to do it, I forget what we were with. But you were making connections and stuff. And I don't know if I just didn't even get in the cage or I just like did for a little bit was like maybe fake the pull something. But I was like, I think it broke broke I think is it we're closing. You know what? You know what the guy outside told me is that they they usually turn the machine on for the the minor league players at the speed. So I don't know because the only athletic skill that I'm unsure of myself in in as far as like throwing catching a baseball. whatever, throwing a football, catching a football, basketball, I'm fine.
Starting point is 00:32:27 I'm like, I haven't swung a bat really with any kind of consistency since I was a kid, and I'm afraid I've lost the mechanics. It's hard. I did a celebrity softball game in the Kansas City stadium. I should rock out. Yeah. Yeah. And for that third strike, were you like who who bitch it was yeah
Starting point is 00:32:48 I It's funny to know who fucking put you down on strikes. They just like the third guy The third guy in an NCIS The guy I Hate a guy of law and order. And Laura's like, what's the thing? I was gonna say, I got struck out by Dan Florek, the guy who played the long time captain on SVU.
Starting point is 00:33:11 He really floated him up there. Yeah, threw him straight on everybody else, he gave him a chance. Coming to the plate. Dan Florek. I was first and they were like, hey, we don't take this serious. And nobody else struck out.
Starting point is 00:33:24 Like, right after me, they gave me three strikes, then after me, they were like letting, like an old lady got a hit because they just let her keep swinging. And I never got a bat again. And so I'm the only one that struck out. It was your O for one. I was the O for one.
Starting point is 00:33:39 Well, it was in a backwards care. It was a forward care. I swung so hard. You suck it hard. No, no, no, it was, you know, I got a lot. So then I was like, I swung so hard. No, no, no. It was, you know, I got a lot. So then I was like, I was used to that. So when you're staying sideways, the ball's coming in up.
Starting point is 00:33:52 And you're like, why haven't done that? And you're ever. And then I mean, I swung the most hard. And Paul Rudd was, because it's for this Kansas city, Kansas city is like, they do this. It's a great thing they do, but it's like, Eric Stone Street, Paul Rudd, Rob Riggle, Jason's day, because they have like a crazy David Keckner, people that are from there. And so then I like, Paul Rudd's in it.
Starting point is 00:34:13 It's like the only time I talked to him, I was like, I struck out. And he's like, I got no one cares. And I was like, well, no one else did. Yeah. So I kind of, we don't know if anybody cares, because it's only one person to prove. Yeah. Paul Rudd, the most likable guy in Hollywood goes like yeah, I know I saw either one's talking about I pulled the audience and no one cared. I remember playing softball
Starting point is 00:34:31 in a church league when you would go play and you'd be playing with like some guys that are like had a cup of coffee with the cubs. And you're on your your your field is third like a little league feel. Yeah, and I'd be playing third base. You're like're you're you're field is third like a little league feel yeah, and I'd be playing third base You're like come at it die. Yes come at it. This fucking the restaurant league I played in it Those they owned so many restaurants that they had a full softball league and you just they're on league You are on week and it was every restaurant It was like those Caminos blue water grill blue ocean grill Ruby Ruby foos had like two teams because they had all these restaurants.
Starting point is 00:35:05 And dude, it was mostly because of that fish blue. People kids are coming up. Dude, they got a couple of ringers from Tom's River. Yeah. Jay, I'm telling you right now, most of the people that played in it were like struggling actors. So it was really easy. If you had any athletic ability, you were good.
Starting point is 00:35:19 And then one time we played Blue Ocean Grill and they just have this Dominican. We got the kitchen, right? Yeah. That's what you got. You got to clean up the kitchen. Two of these shows up in baseball pants and he's like, so you guys are playing, did he hit a home run in Central Park that was so deep? I've left field.
Starting point is 00:35:34 I watched it go over me and I was like, I'm actually going to go get the ball. I'm sure we got another ball. Is there another one? Yeah, that's, yeah. You're trying to have fun and you're getting smoked by a 13 year old Dominican kid with a full mustache. He came out toothpick baseball pants and just four on the car. You catch these guys right after their dream got crushed. So then they're still
Starting point is 00:35:56 got that competitiveness and they go do it. And you're like, yo, this is not good. Yeah. I'm not fun. Yeah. There's there's leagues where it's an out if they hit a home run, because they could hit home runs every play. Yeah, dude. I, I, I, I, I got into baseball, little league baseball, right when the uniform norm changed to not being stirrups. Oh, yeah. But I really wanted stirrups.
Starting point is 00:36:22 I mean, it also goes, we don't have stirrups in the chair. We're just full pants. And I go, no, but I was I was no it was still like the half pants But it just wasn't stirrups which is socks long socks and I was like yeah I kind of thought the starrips didn't cool and he was like we'll give you a stare like and then I was the only one I just wore starrips and then I realized that starrapants also became a look for like fat moms at a Walmart wearing sweatpants at the stairs They go into their their fat flat feet and then I was like, oh, I just look like that
Starting point is 00:36:49 Was it when they wore the pants all the way down like they would pull them all the way down? No, I was up. It's up. It was the socks. No, but it was they switch into the they oh they switched to Because it came cold. I have them all the way down. Yeah, yes, but they pulled it, no, it was still short pants, but just socks, just one sock. They were over a man and they were gonna flip them. But I was like, yeah, but I was like, yeah, but I wanna do the socks with the stirrups over it and they were like, it's not even a thing anymore.
Starting point is 00:37:15 I got the Yips plent when I played softball too. I'd play a second base and I couldn't throw it to first. As a kid? No, no, no, in like church, like when I would, I couldn't get it to first. No, no, no, no, and like church, like when I would, I would, I couldn't get it from second to first base like in my head and I would launch it and it would go over, you know how the dugouts are open here.
Starting point is 00:37:34 It would hit the fence and fall in the visitor dugout and I mean, I am 15 feet from this guy. I could just roll it to it and I just couldn't, like I had some kind of, yeah, and I would, and I mean everybody's like, hi, and you're like, oh, it's fair to it. And I just couldn't like I had some kind of you and I would like and I mean everybody's like, hi, you're like, oh, it's fair as to you. It's up. Yeah. It's fair as to you. A softball fielding is way more difficult in softball than baseball because a baseball you have, you could one throw harder and more controlled. A softball's
Starting point is 00:37:59 like trying to, you know, you guys are going to throw a golf ball or a fucking grapefruit. They're going to throw the golf ball. It's gonna be much more of an intense like direct throw. Like a grapefruit so big, you can't really do baseball fingers to a softball. We do the, it's weird. The softball, the competitive softball leagues that they have, or you're saying like they look at out at the hit it, when I worked at Pitbath and Beyond, I worked in, I worked in receiving.
Starting point is 00:38:24 I think I learned something new about you. Yeah, but when I lived in Tucson and I worked at bed bath and beyond I worked in a work in receiving I've learned something new about you Yeah, but when I lived in Tucson and I worked at bed bath and before I moved to New York I worked in the receiving so we done low trucks and it was me and you know damn was a BB and B guy triple B 265 look is in between Alaska Dan you see he's not as a Getting of our friendship Nate's like you're 50 I mean this whole thing's been interviewing with a vampire the whole time this whole bond fires me because and then I So to win this crazy in the civil But this old guy worked with every day would just talk about his competitive softball league
Starting point is 00:39:00 And he was southern and he back now we're up three one And I'm telling you right now, they got the plate. Oh, the old stories. No, it's he was an old man and an old baseball. And if I say he was currently playing, I thought every day gathered you around that he was old softball story. Could you imagine anything worse
Starting point is 00:39:17 than hearing old neighborhood softball stories? This guy was just fucking brutal that by the time I left, I was like, great it. I was like, dude, I can't hear another one is Yeah, I'm Steve showed up the hangover. That's what he's like now. We're in the platinum league Those we don't mess around yeah, and you're like I do we're on time. Can you please count these loopholes with me? Yeah, yeah I want to go to lunch. We do my so worth Listen to the story. Can I please just sit around bed better than beyond yeah unloading these 15 55 duplicate paintings of the same exact
Starting point is 00:39:47 Pain there was a softball an old softball league with these guys It was a pitcher an infoder and I want to say a catcher and he said he could and he would beat any to body in The in the country and he could strike in the picture would I forget their name they're like from the 70s 80s 90s Something like that but they go around and just be like here's three of us were take on your whole team Three versus nine three versus nine they would win you couldn't hit the picture But what do you do like that? Man, would you do like that Jenny Finch? Oh? Yeah, no one my they came they came to Nashville once because they would do like a tour and my dad got up there and I mean, you just can't, you can't hit him.
Starting point is 00:40:29 And there's one, they just have one guy in the infield and I think a catcher. And that's it. Yeah, those, those, one of those like college softball girls would humiliate me. Well, yeah, Jenny, they had Jenny Finch and a bad box. That's gonna be coming in. You're gonna be like, whoa, when I was at Arizona, she was at Arizona she was at my knees up. She was a senior when I was a junior and they had her like I remember on TV her senior year
Starting point is 00:40:52 Because she was like you a team USA She was like one of the greatest softball pictures of all time and she was at Arizona and they like really Dude my buddy went to a softball game one time and he came home and I go how was it he goes It was all Lesbos and special needs. He was packed but that was all that was there but she went up and struck out. It's a B.M.E.A. game. Yeah. She struck out these three diamond back players or one of the diamond back players went
Starting point is 00:41:17 and like they move the mound closer where softball is and she fucking softball pitched him and was just throwing it. She's like a gas knocked one back at her. He ripped her head off. Yeah, put a hole through it. She was smoking hot too. Jenny Finch.
Starting point is 00:41:32 If you look her up like a shoe, she was just like a tall blonde and we're just fucking fucking. When we get to line drive it to the movie scene, they line drive right towards her and you see like her glove clothes and then she opens a glove. There's no ball in it and then you down to see the hole in her chest. It's a hole. Yeah, what did she do, Nat? Like, where do you go?
Starting point is 00:41:48 Probably tours the country, taking on people and the three versus one. She got $3 million or you're only finished. She doing hustling. Yeah, she goes softball field, I'll strike you out. That's been crazy, you think you could probably hit me? Yeah. I bet you couldn't hit me.
Starting point is 00:42:00 She, uh. I know a girl who used to hustle pool and I'm like, how's that where she goes? Dude I make good money. I go really like who are you playing? Like if you figure it in a CD world of like like pool hustling. Yeah, and then you beat some guy And she goes I believe that's $200. You know, he goes nah. Yeah What are you gonna do you better be friends with a tough man? And so now she lives in Louisiana in a small town. Sulfur Louisiana smells good.
Starting point is 00:42:26 Sulfur. Yeah, but it's where Dak Prescott's from. So black, blue, you know, good fan. Kind of sometimes when Dak Prescott plays well, black dudes and softball, bitches, love it. Peace and care. It's what we got to do. We got to do the full. We got to go play basketball. We got to play baseball. We got to play football. How tall them? I was like, we gotta go play basketball, we gotta play baseball, we gotta play football. I told them I was like, we pat up and play Oklahoma.
Starting point is 00:42:49 I'll do some hit. That's what made me quit football. Was Oklahoma? Is that the one? No, I'll do the ring. That one. Bullin' the ring's pretty crazy. The bull in the ring is when I would always be like,
Starting point is 00:43:00 I think my helmet's messed up and I would take it off. And you just go in the middle and they go, stop trapping those feet and then they're like, go and then just the kid runs at you and you be like, I think my helmets messed up. I would take it off. And you just go in the middle and they go, stop chopping those feet. And you're like, yeah. And then they're like, go. And then just a kid runs at you. And you're like, oh, pow, I'm just fucking slamming them. Like, and they're yelling out names.
Starting point is 00:43:12 It's fucking crazy. Oklahoma's the scariest. That's laying on your head to head. And a coach comes and puts the ball on one of your chests and blows the whistle. And you get up and whoever doesn't have the ball has to tackle that. Who has the ball?
Starting point is 00:43:24 They should, yeah. But you get, I got doesn't have the ball has to tackle that. Who has the ball? That shit, yeah. But you get, I got fucking laid out. We'll do that. All right, cool. I mean, it's a good 40 seconds for us to get up. Yeah, it's a lot of roll. You got to get going. And you go, you got to complain the second you hit him, you go, dude, you just do a hand
Starting point is 00:43:40 fight laying down over your head. We just both refuse to get up. Like you're looking for the remote without seeing. Yeah, the first time you make contact with us. Oh, there it is. Oh my God, did this, makes me, we're gonna tweet this video out, but this gives me fucking nightmares,
Starting point is 00:43:53 cause I used to get the shit knocked out of me. Let's see it happen, you know. Dude, when you get stuck in Oklahoma, why would you, why did they call Oklahoma? Yeah, they put the ball on one of your chests. Yeah, so when he has the ball I don't know. Yeah, so they do Yeah, so my guy would be on top of me while I was rolling over
Starting point is 00:44:11 You put the ball my chest and I go all right Sometimes those sometimes those are the most brutal hits was when one kid got up faster and a kid was still getting up And then he just fucking torpedo into the ground Like I said, I have no expectations on anybody. I'm just curious to see, I can't picture the motion of DJ Lou just sending a spiral right into my chest. With a cigarette in his mouth, like my daddy's like, I just don't, I can't picture it. I think you possibly could do it for sure.
Starting point is 00:44:37 I would love to see Jacob turning too, just someone bare handed to Jacob and him touching it, fucking on a dot. This is my tank. Jacob, you can crank a football. Can you throw a baseball, right? Here we can split a mic. What's wrong with your pissed off, Nate here?
Starting point is 00:44:52 No, I'm not. That's what you made him feel. I'm not awkward at any sport. I can hold my own. Football is probably my weakest game though. Throwing a football is an interesting beast that some people have never tackled. We showed, did I show you that night?
Starting point is 00:45:10 Did I send that to you? Or the other thing in my dad having a catch with me? Oh yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. And I felt it. So I found out my father can't throw a football because of the mechanics of it. I'm like, really?
Starting point is 00:45:21 Yeah. It was so you like pushed it off. He does a crustacean. Most people find out probably a lot younger. Yeah, well the most people dads around the That's what I'm saying when it when I saw that I was like I had to think back I go I guess my grandfather Showed me had to throw a ball because I never had a problem We're throwing a football ball. That's why that's why maybe that's why left. We've told you that's why left That's why that's why maybe that's why left. We've told you that's why left I was too good. I was embarrassed. Yeah, the way you threw was fucking
Starting point is 00:45:46 Atrocious. I understand I go I get it man. I see it. You already got so far the young line already pushed the old line out The thought of you having a son combine Where is I? I'm gonna see if I'm gonna stick around or I'm gonna see if you end up at a stepdad. Yeah, so see what you got Do you want to hold you what your vert? I told you he showed me he was gonna show me how to fight he said one time He didn't just punch you in the chest me in the chest and I cried It was so weird. That's how a lot of people did top to people fight That's a whole fight for something. Well, it wasn't you know, it's funny
Starting point is 00:46:14 I was an old thing is I wasn't older. I had already been in a bunch of fights But he was like no one's ever showed you a box like you know that a box and I like now Box right been in a bunch of fights and he was like I'm actually had a box and he goes you got a pot and I was like, no. I don't know the box, but I bit in a bunch of fights and he was like, I'm gonna show you how to box. And he goes, you got to pop. And then he just like, he put his hands up and we were circling around the back, his backyard, no hire. And he just laid one into my chest.
Starting point is 00:46:33 And it wasn't like, so I wasn't like, it's just sort of crying. I was like, what the fuck were you doing so hard for? Like are you trying to show me something? I was like, I think I even have like a thangs like you're just kind of jerking yourself off. Kind of thing. I mean, you just did do this to like like show me what's up. It was so weird
Starting point is 00:46:47 I was I just sad He had to apologize, which is gayer than he is funny. You're like are you just doing that to be with something? It's but what is up? Yanke the fucking coming me. Yeah, I bet you won't talk Bet you get clean your room you fucking pussy That's being the dead like that because you just get a show up and just do the, you know, the stuff, like I mean, it work. He's like, what do you go do tonight?
Starting point is 00:47:09 He's like, I go punch my kid, I see him once every four years. I gotta give him a little doubt. I gotta give him four years of lessons and one hand. Yeah, I sometimes he's got a little froggy before I go straightin' that out tonight. And tonight, I remember when I started playing Pop Warner football and I called my dad and I'm like, I'm playing football and just knowing that he was just a booze bag somewhere and he goes
Starting point is 00:47:29 Hey tell me want to play tight end you're tall and long probably get up there The ball and I was like okay Yeah, all right and then like a year later. I talked to him and he goes So as football yeah, that ended in November In August the following year he goes son of a bitch your year older. When's your birthday? So as football, that ended in November. It was fucking August, the fall of year. He was son of a bitchier year older. What's your birthday? My father never saw me play a sport.
Starting point is 00:47:52 He did come, I always say that one thing he came to was my high school graduation. And he brought my uncle Tommy, who's just a South Philly, like, you know, old koot. And just like they are, straight South Philly people. And he came to my South Jersey graduation and started screaming from the stands. Jew boy to me.
Starting point is 00:48:10 Jesus Christ. Because you know that my dad's not side to family. He's a Jewish, gets you a Jew boy and he keeps going to, and he kept calling me like, like, it wasn't like faggot or anybody. It was saying like gay, you know what I mean? That's my little fruit cake, blah, blah, blah. And I think he came down while I'm in line.
Starting point is 00:48:24 This is a new school for me. I only went there one year. You can go there one year, graduate. I didn't make tons of friends there. I had a handful of friends. He came over, he squeezed my titties through my gown. He russled my belly. And he kept calling me like a fat shit and stuff.
Starting point is 00:48:36 I was like, it's all I can love to him, but you're like, this sucks. What are you doing that laugh? You're like, oh, cold Tommy. Yeah, I'm going to, oh, cold Tommy or nothing. Hey, Jew boy. Yeah, look at these fucking tips on my fucking nephew. Yeah, no, he's like It was more like a gruff, but he was like he goes, yeah, you got these titties just like your old man He's like squeezing me and my dad. He's like bullying us both It's very funny. What's what's what's more dark shoe boy?
Starting point is 00:49:02 but it's more dark shoe boy. It's more dark shoe boy. Where's Uncle Tommy at now? Uncle Tommy's still with Antrish. That's the funniest trajectory. That's the funniest trajectory. Oh yeah. That's the funniest trajectory. Antrish and Uncle Tommy always together.
Starting point is 00:49:14 When my dad would come visit, we'd go stay at Uncle Tommy's sometimes. Yeah. With Antrish and my cousin Vicki. And now it's my dad's step brother is Uncle Tommy. So they're not related. And they're not related in your family. No, no Literally whatsoever. Yeah, it's all Mishmash
Starting point is 00:49:32 Yeah, if you add all the trees Darts off into it's we if you add on the hand I have five siblings, but it's actually only two and a half If you can't how many four I've two and a half full siblings I'll tell you what if you you're transferring families, those credits are going to transfer. Your family all in is the portal. Then they go, I'm going to get picked up by actually is going to be fun. Another Jewish family. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:55 Oh, I think I'm going to have a shot. Yeah, I think it was the cream of juby. But yeah, we used to go to Michael Tommy's house. And then when my dad went to Ohio when I was like 11 or so maybe 10 or 11 Uncle Tommy started just being around my house a lot Because I didn't I mean I was too dumb to know it was the time that him and my mom just started fucking for a little I he broke up with my aunt Trish. Yeah, and started Hooking up my mom. What a dog. And I just remember that was so funny because again, I was not an easy.
Starting point is 00:50:25 It was funny how much the hindsight my mom and step-pop were always like, you were by far the easiest. I go, I was just the longest to go. Like, you're not remembering this. Like, the anxiety I had as a kid, like, my mom just wanted to fuck Uncle Tommy for a weekend and they dropped me off at my godmother's house.
Starting point is 00:50:40 And I used to just scream and cry the entire time I was away from my mom at that point or like away from home I could have been my grandmother's would have been fine. We're like 15. I was like 11. Oh really? It was like too much. I don't want to fucking like.
Starting point is 00:50:53 I'd be sad the whole time. I think your mom is trying to get it kind of your tree going kind of back to the door in the same direction. What's the time? She's like let's just talk there. If we do, if I do that, then Tari technically is. Technically, we're kind of back on track. My dad forgot almost, almost 100% of my birthday's
Starting point is 00:51:11 on the day of my birthday, but when he got word that my mom was fucking Uncle Tommy dude, he showed up. Get he really? He was pretty pissed about it. Yeah, I never saw what happened with it, but I know shortly after Uncle Tommy just got back with Aunt Trish. And then I, it's pretty crazy where you go, Dad!
Starting point is 00:51:26 And he goes, I'm not here for you. Yeah, and then I'm saying- It's your mom doing with my step brother. And then- This is the weirdest, and then I said even more than that, my cousin Vicki, who again, no blood relation whatsoever, but like, you know, we've known each other, we were little kids. When we were like 17 or 18, like, we fooled her, we didn't fuck.
Starting point is 00:51:41 Yeah. But we fooled her a little bit, and then right away, we're like, Dad, did you guys do the blood check before you hooked up or you like, who's your dad? This does seem like a family that doesn't work with that. They're listening, we're here. Too obvious, my dad, my dad's mom, married Uncle Tommy's dad for a little bit.
Starting point is 00:51:59 And that's what it was. So all those, that's the Ross family. But there was, it but it was still, listen, to horny kids and still we couldn't get to fucking because we were both like, we've just known each other like babies. Like your unions are just awkward. It's all hookups. It's like, it's like the, it's like, it's like, like, skankfest. Yeah. It's like everybody there. They just do. It's like when a reality show does a recap
Starting point is 00:52:25 and they bring everyone back in the room and they're like, everyone, all right. Uncle Tommy is still some evil. Uncle Tommy is in currently in the process of redoing my mom and stepfather's bathroom. He is state. Why my dad, not around very much. And Uncle Tommy's always sort of been around like even with an ant Tr, and they're still together and everything. They are at every event, family event they do, or my mom's retirement party, my sister's wedding, like they're all, they all still come. It's pretty funny.
Starting point is 00:52:53 Pretty weird. Uncle Tommy, fun dude. Tented up, good dude. Good guy. Listen, grab a lot of tip, called me two boy at high school. He was very good guy, but that's the spirit of a fun guy. And when I was 11, I didn't think over, thinking the fuck my mom at all.
Starting point is 00:53:08 I was like, yeah, Uncle Tommy's around. He's a, you know what I mean, he'll be funny. Like, we'll go out and he'll do something weird, you know, that weird, but like funny. Yeah. He was a guy with the yell out movie. I always remember Uncle Tommy's, when we went to go see a movie,
Starting point is 00:53:21 there was a movie theater on his block. Yeah. On third and boy mencing in South Philadelphia. And there was like a shitty movie theater on his block. Yeah. On third, Moy mentzing in South Philadelphia. And there was a shitty movie theater and they were showing twins. And I went to go see twins in the theater. It was my dad, Uncle Tommy, my cousins and whatever. And we're sitting and watching the movie.
Starting point is 00:53:35 And do you remember everything with orange sports and egg her was a? Yeah, of course, you're forgetting the first rule in the crisis situation. Manual. Yeah, the manual. We as the manual. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:44 And then it was a scene where he was gonna have sex for the first time or something Yeah, it started seducing him and he was like and like you know He hears someone like someone in the theater goes like he doesn't know what to do and then Michael Tommy's the guy goes He goes down the read the manual and we were all like dude nailed it Awesome, what do you mystery science? The guy me while as an adult now off the guy was the one I turn around. I'd be like Really shut up. Yeah, please. Can I just watch the movie? I paid like everybody else? I paid $16 to see this. Yeah, your mom looked at him that night and goes. Yeah, yeah, your uncle Tommy's making me feel different after he got the
Starting point is 00:54:21 Zinger off at Arnold. Oh, they went to a David Bowie concert altogether like Uncle Tommy's actual brothers, the Ross boys and my mom when they were dating and gotten to a major fist fight. Uncle Richie's nose got broken. No, I know, like guys in Philly and Stadia Uncle Richie's nose. Uncle Richie's nose got broken. We got to leave Uncle Richie hit a guy. We got four reads in this hour that we got to do. Which was married to a mob lawyer. We got three minutes to do four readsie hit a guy. We got four reads in this hour that we gotta do. We got to do- Which was married to a mob lawyer. We got three minutes to do four reads. Weird family.
Starting point is 00:54:49 We gotta get into it. Let's get it in. Nate Bargetsis here is special the greatest average American streaming now on Netflix. We'll be right back. It's the bonfire. Wu-Tang Clan, that must mean there's badden going on. Teeeeeee!
