Creating viral content is so important and it's really going to get you out there in front of
tons and tons of people. It is just an extension of me and the more I got over myself and the more
I just started doing it, the easier it became. Short-term wins don't bring long-term success.
You don't want to end up losing what you've spent so
long building because you were unwilling to follow the rules. When Instagram or Facebook
bring out new products, you better use them. Hey, and welcome to the Boss Babe podcast with
myself, Danielle. Okay, I'm not going to lie. I am so excited about this episode.
It's the episode everyone has been waiting for because I'm not only interviewing the queen of Instagram herself, but I'm picking
her brains on Instagram. I'm asking all the questions that you guys want to know and just
really getting an awesome understanding on how Mrs. Natalie Ellis has grown Boss Babe
to over a million followers. Honestly, guys, what Natalie doesn't know about growing a
social media
following is quite frankly not worth knowing. But before I start the episode, in true tradition,
we are kicking off with a Boss Babe quote. I'm just warning you, it's a pretty bold one.
The quote is this, the more consistent you are, the more consistent your money will be.
I have chosen this quote because as you'll hear in my interview with Natalie, she attributes some of Boss Babe's success to the fact we show up consistently.
Come rain or shine, you'll see us posting, you'll see stories, you'll see us working hard on growing
our business and I think that's an important message with any endeavor in life. It does take
hard work and consistency, whether that be growing a social media following or consistently showing
up to sales pitches or just consistently practicing your craft. Because when you are consistently
showing up in places you need to, that's when the true magic happens. And so whilst we are going to
be talking on this episode all about Instagram, it seems only appropriate to tell you about our
recently launched Insta Growth Accelerator,
IGA. So we've been asked thousands of times to release the exact Instagram strategy we've used to build a global brand with over 1 million followers. And so Natalie and the team have
pulled together everything into a 90-day blueprint. IGA is like the roadmap and is designed to help you not only grow your Instagram,
but to also monetize it. Natalie teaches so many things in this course. She'll show you how to sell
out your programs or products and generate crazy hype around your brand from simply posting on
social media. She talks about how to wake up to hundreds of new paying followers without spending a penny to
acquire them. She'll show you how to generate consistent on-brand content with ease and have
people actually engage with it, and how to cultivate an audience of warm leads, excited clients, and
brand evangelists who share your mission on your behalf. I've watched Natalie pour her heart and soul into this course and the content is
absolutely phenomenal. She keeps nothing back and we genuinely want to see more Boss Babes succeed
in this space. So if you truly want to grow your social media following, getting your hands on this
blueprint is literally a no-brainer, especially as we're actually offering a thousand dollars off
as an early bird bonus so if you're
interested head to instagrowthaccelerated.com to sign up I'll put the link in the show notes as
well in the meantime get a taste of how awesome and knowledgeable Natalie is with this straight
to the point full of information boss babe podcast episode a boss babe is unapologetically ambitious
and paves the way for herself and other women to rise keep going and fighting on she is on a episode. Okay, I am so excited about this podcast today because I am interviewing the queen of Instagram
herself, Natalie Ellis, and I'm going to be asking her all the questions that you guys want to know.
So I'm going to kick off this interview. I'm going to straight into it because you all know Natalie,
and I'm going to ask her, Natalie, where do people start if they want to grow their audience?
Oh, I'm so glad you're interviewing me. I was going to do a solo episode and then I thought,
do you know what? It's going to be way easier if you come in, gather all the questions everyone's
asking and actually keep me on track because I could talk about this for hours and hours. So
thanks for doing this. Okay. Where should people start? So I think the first thing that anyone needs to consider when they make the
decision to grow their Instagram, and it's a decision, it's not something that you wake up
with the next morning, you've got a million followers, like you really need to make that
decision to commit. And so you need to peel back the layers and understand okay what's my goal here who am I
speaking to and once you start to understand those pieces and you get really clear on what your
absolute ideal follower looks like I'm not going to say client because some of you might be growing
without having clients right now so once you get really clear on what your ideal follower looks
like that's when you can start to tailor your strategy and your tactics.
Because when you know where they're hanging out, who they're following, what they engage with, what they want you to provide, that's how you can start to shape a strategy that works for you.
And there's tons of advice online telling you to do X, Y and Z.
But if you really don't know who you're trying to speak to, you're not going to speak to anyone.
So that's the first thing and then the second thing is you need to make a commitment to yourself
like I was talking about before this is a commitment you need to make that commitment
to yourself and you need to decide okay I am going to go all in and I'm going to do what it takes
because what's going to be really really important on this journey is consistency. And so there's a
whole different ball game between creating content and actually growing your Instagram,
because they're not one in the same. You don't just create your content to grow. There's a very
specific growth strategy that needs to be implemented in order to bring people to your page.
But if you're not consistent in posting, then they're going to
leave and you're going to continue to experience the follower rollercoaster. Now I can help you
to overcome the rollercoaster. And what I mean by that is when your follower count's just going up
and down, up and down, and I can help you to overcome that, but I can only take you so far.
I can only give you so many strategies. So if you're not consistent with your content, you're
not consistently speaking to that ideal follower that we're talking about, then it's going to continue to drop up and down.
And what does consistent content look like? How many times should people be posting?
So it really depends. I think if you're posting pictures of yourself,
I wouldn't say more than once a day, and I probably wouldn't say less than once a day.
So that's kind of the sweet spot. You want to be showing up every single day.
But if you're sharing content that's not just pictures of yourself. It might be
different layouts, flat lays. It could be quotes. It can be all these different types of content.
I would say there's about eight types of content. And I get into that a lot in our IGA course, but
depending on the types of content you're sharing, you could share that up to four times a day.
And a lot of people think that's way too much. And I always get that question. That sounds like way too much.
It's actually not. That is one of the keys to growth on many platforms, even podcasting, right?
Think about it. If we were releasing four episodes a week, we'd be constantly showing up on people's
top of the podcast list if they're following us. And we'll be constantly showing up in the charts
because we'd have more downloads. Now we've made the conscious decision not to go
that route right now because we're focusing on other things but it's the same across the board
like the more you show up the more consistent you are the more you are everywhere in someone's feed
you know this idea of omnipresence then the quicker you're going to grow so up to four times
I think is great and even beyond that you could be posting Instagram TV on top of that and stories every single day. Let's not
forget the power of posting on stories because I think your feed is the window of your store,
right? You're putting out a nice display on your window, but then walking inside the store is your
stories. It's bringing people into your lifestyle, your
behind the scenes and growing that intimacy and growing that know, like, and trust factor,
which is also really, really important. So one question I want to ask you, because
obviously I spend a lot of time with you and I know how much effort you put into your posts as
well, but you are amazing at creating engaging stories and like what goes
through your mind when you're like oh do you know what I'm going to create a story on this
because sometimes people find it a little bit unnatural like who wants to see this like or
what do people want to know if people are in that position where they're like would this make a good
story or will it not what's your advice that's true. And the first thing I say is you've got to
get over yourself because when you don't, you second guess every single thing you do. And look,
I post some videos where I feel like I just rambled on about nothing for like five minutes
and I post it. And sometimes those are the stories that get the most engagement.
And you've got to accept if they're watching your stories they want to see you on a more
intimate level and they're really interested in what you're doing and what you have to say
that's why vlogging does so well on YouTube right because we want to know what people are doing we
want to know what their day-to-day looks like people that I enjoy following online I love to
just watch their stories and just see what they're up to and so for me it's very much I see my
Instagram stories as just an
extension of my hand, right? Wherever I am, whatever I'm doing, I'm just one swipe away
from turning on Instagram stories and documenting it. And then slowly I've gotten a lot better at
being able to make that like aesthetically pleasing. So I'll film something, I throw a
quick filter on it. I then put a caption on everything I do, which makes them a lot a lot easier to digest and if I've got the time I'll play around with making the things look
a bit prettier and if I'm trying to just be present in the moment and enjoy it I'll just
whip it out film it save it and then I'll come back to it later so I'm still kind of documenting
it and then on weekends I make more of a conscious effort to switch off and not do that but generally
it is
just an extension of me and the more I got over myself and the more I just started doing it the
easier it became and then I listen a lot to my audience so I know what they enjoy seeing I put
a lot of polls up there questions so I'm constantly asking and it's so funny because I do a lot of
stories with Stephen and a lot of what me and Stephen talk about on stories is just I feel feel like there's no point to it. We're just sitting chatting as we're relaxing and winding
down for the night. But I guess so many people are applying just saying they love that because
they get to see like a real insight to like me just in my pajamas with my husband chilling on
an evening. And so just get over yourself, make it an extension of your hand. And the more you show up, the easier it will get.
And it's the same with everything, right?
You guys are super cute.
Last night on Instagram stories, I watched it.
So talking about that, and you kind of touched on it there.
You spoke about polls and asking people questions.
Are those some of your tips for creating engagement?
Because I know that lots
of people isn't one thing posting, but it's another thing getting people to interact with it
and then making sure that that shows up on the Instagram algorithm. So what are the most powerful
approaches to increasing engagement? Let's take a quick pause to talk about my new favorite all-in-one
platform, Kajabi. You know I've been singing their praises lately because they have helped our
business run so much smoother and with way less complexity which I love. Not to mention our team
couldn't be happier because now everything is in one place so it makes collecting data, creating
pages, collecting payment, all the things so much simpler. One of our mottos at Boss Babe is simplify
to amplify and Kajabi has really helped us do that this year.
So of course I needed to share it here with you. It's the perfect time of year to do a bit of spring
cleaning in your business, you know, get rid of the complexity and instead really focus on getting
organized and making things as smooth as possible. I definitely recommend Kajabi to all of my clients
and students. So if you're listening and haven't checked out Kajabi yet
now is the perfect time to do so because they are offering Boss Babe listeners a 30-day free trial
go to kajabi.com slash boss babe to claim your 30-day free trial that's kajabi.com slash boss babe
so what's really important to consider when we're trying to get engagement in our posts and trying
to kind of beat the algorithm we need to take a step back and ask what is the algorithm actually built on?
And the answer is MSI, meaningful social interaction. And Facebook that owns Instagram
really wants to create MSI on the platform because listen, the more meaningful our social
interactions are, the longer we're going to spend on the platform. And that's what their main metric is, right? It's time spent. So whenever I'm
creating any kind of strategy or tactic, I think about the algorithm. And right now, MSI is the
winner. That's what we need to be working towards. So I think about what meaningful social interaction
looks like. And that's answering DMs. It's having conversations with people in your DMs.
It's replying to comments on your feed post. It's getting comments on your feed post. It's getting
people tagging other people in your feed post because then you're actually pulling someone out
of their meeting and onto Instagram so that they can see what you tag them in. It's people liking
your post. It's people replying to
your polls and questions on stories. All of this is MSI. And so if you experiment with MSI and you
do these different things to boost engagement, you're actually going to find that you get pushed
up the algorithm and more people are seeing your content. And one of our modules in IGA actually
talk about engagement hacking and how to get more engagement on your content.
There's different ways to do this. So obviously one of them is being in an engagement group.
Every time you post, have your friends come on and engage with that post. And then you going
and replying to all of those comments so that it's double the amount of comments in that time.
I would say reply to every single comment that you get, especially within the first few hours
of posting it, because that's really going to signal to the algorithm that it's a quality piece of content. I think
unless you have millions of followers, you should be replying to your DMs. It's an amazing way to
push your stuff up the algorithm, to push your stories, to push your feed posts. So reply to
your DMs and have conversations with people in your DMs. Be asking questions on stories and
actually make a note of what that did for your engagement. Did it go up by a hundred? Did it drop?
Keep a note of those different things. Encourage people to actually comment. So maybe it's a
giveaway. They're going to tag three people to win something. Maybe you're offering like a free
audit of their website. If they comment on your latest post. There's so many different ways that you can hack this engagement game, but it should all be in the name of increasing MSI. I love that.
And so a question I have from that, and I see people asking an awful lot, is in terms of engagement,
are hashtags important? And are they important in stories? Should we be using all 30 on our
normal posts what have
you found what are your recommendations I think with hashtags they can be so valuable and I keep
bringing it back to IGA but in IGA actually give you access to a tool where you put your niche in
and it's going to give you 30 top hashtags for you to use in your feed and in your stories and
it's going to update every single day if you wanted to which is an amazing tool so if you're in iga make sure you look out for that
it's coming in one of the modules it's so epic but yes hashtags are important and here's the thing
if instagram are giving us tools to use we should be using them and so if they're giving us the
ability to use hashtags and they're saying listen you can use up to 30 now i don't know about you
but i'm like an well i know about you i know you're an all in kind of person. I'm an all in
kind of person. And if someone's giving me something, I'm going to take it all the way
and I'm going to use it to my absolute advantage. So yeah, I've spent a lot of time researching
hashtags and what that can do for you. And hashtags really help you to show up in the
explore page. And one really interesting things now is people can follow
hashtags and so if you're using that specific hashtag in your post you're going to show up on
the person's feed who is following that hashtag and you're also going to show up in the stories
for that hashtag so any of our society girls I always say use the hashtag the boss babe society
in your stories because a lot of our girls are following that hashtag and so it actually allows
you to show up in front of the audience. So it's really important. I often get asked should it be
in the actual caption or should it be in the comments. From what I see it doesn't make a big
difference but I do recommend having some copy and paste hashtags and maybe have four to six
kind of hashtags on rotation so that you can make sure they are relevant to your
actual post that's really important because the algorithm will give your content a relevancy score
and if you're posting a picture of your coffee but you're tagging like smoothie it's not relevant
and so it's useless and anyone looking on the smoothie hashtag isn't going to be wanting to
engage with your picture of coffee because it makes no sense to what they were searching so
yeah if you're in IGA make sure you that module. It's an amazing tool and it basically will
give you endless amount of hashtags on there. It'll give you exactly what you need. I recommend
copy and pasting maybe four to six kinds of hashtags. You could maybe put in, I'm looking
for hashtags for female entrepreneurs and it'll give you a batch of 30. And maybe another one is,
I'm looking for hashtags of healthy living, whatever is and then put them in the notes section of your iPhone and then just
copy and paste them on every single time whether it's in your feed or whether it's your comments
but I massively recommend using hashtags. So everyone listening to us will know we love saying
we believe in collaboration over competition. Now one of the things that we've utilized in boss babe
is we've done a lot of collaborations with other companies like ours with a similar audience
so I would love for you to share with everyone listening like how you choose accounts to
collaborate with yeah and it all goes back to this ideal follower thing I was talking about so where
are your ideal followers hanging out so I'll use our page as an
example. I know our ideal follower loves to follow female-led, kind of empowering, quote-focused
pages. She's really into that. And so for us, it's really important that we tap into pages with an
audience of those women. Because if we can get our brand and our page out in front of them,
firstly, that's going to drive a ton of traffic. But here's where the important bit comes in.
I could be driving tons of traffic to our page, but if those people coming to our page aren't
really interested in a page that shares female empowering quotes, then they're going to leave
the page. And so we have a really high
bounce rate. And it's the same whether you're driving traffic to your website or anything.
Driving traffic is exactly the same across the board. If we've got a really high bounce rate,
what was the point of even doing that shout out in the beginning? It's not converted at all.
If you find pages, even if they haven't got a ton of followers and you're starting small,
if you find pages to get shout outs of absolute ideal followers they're gonna convert and it's gonna be so worthwhile for
you so I definitely think that's a tool that a lot of us have at our disposal and for us it's so
important for us to be getting shout outs I mean we do it like four times a week at the moment like
we're going heavy on it and sometimes you'll pay for them sometimes you can do a shout out for
shout out swap there's lots of different ways that you can negotiate different things like that. So
definitely find out where your ideal followers are hanging out and what kind of pages or brands
or people they love to follow. And it's interesting to know, isn't it? You don't always have to pay
for them. I like this swapping of audiences. I think that's super, super powerful. You can swap
audiences. You could swap services. you can swap audiences you could swap
services you can do all kinds of different things and negotiate with different pages and you can
start small too right like if you're getting a shout out from a page that maybe has 50,000
followers it's not as many as a million but if they're your ideal followers that page is a lot
easier to reach there's probably some service swaps you can be doing with them or audience
swaps so even if you're starting small I mean you can do tons of different interesting
things like if you reach out to a page with say 500,000 followers and you only have 500 followers
yourself they're probably not going to want to do a shout out with you because it's not worth it
but you could say to them hey what if I give you a really high engaging piece of content because
you've done your research on the viral stuff a really high engaging piece of content and we'll share it on your page and then I'm going to
put some ad spend behind it so that people are going to see your page and you're going to get
more followers out of this and then I'm going to get more followers out of this if you can set up
a post promo like that you are off to the races so I just want to change the subject slightly
but obviously still staying on Instagram
but one question that I've seen asked a lot as well is shadow banning. I see it coming out,
does it exist? Like all my followers have gone down, like have I been shadow banned? Does it
exist? Do we know? Yeah okay so this is something we don't fully know for sure because Instagram is not saying that
they shadow ban accounts. And for me, I do find it pretty hard to believe that Instagram would
decide to just cut off your Instagram and cut you off from being shared to other people. However,
I do believe Instagram could flag you as spam if you are doing
things that are against the guidelines. So I always recommend going on the actual Instagram
website itself and looking at guidelines, look at best practice because they put all this information
out in front of you and then don't buy in so much to the rumors. I mean, if you're using bots,
a hundred percent, your content's going to be flagged as spammy and it's probably going to be pushed down the algorithm. It might be like a point system and you're going
to get less points. But if you're just posting really good content and maybe one day your
engagements dropped significantly, it might not be the kind of shadow banning thing. It might just be
that your content wasn't relevant that day or they're changing the algorithm, which they're
doing constantly, or Instagram is
down somehow it can be a whole host of different things so I also agree like I see so many people
get caught up in this whole shadow banning thing get on the Instagram website read the best
guidelines create really really good content don't do anything shady I know it can be tempting to go
the whole bot route but it's just not we are in this for the long game
short-term wins don't bring long-term success and using bots and maybe black hat kind of techniques
might work in the short run and might get you a boost of followers but in the long run
I mean Instagram catches on to these things really really quickly and you don't want to end up losing
what you've spent so long building because you were unwilling to follow the rules I love that don't sacrifice the long term for the
short term and it kind of comes back to that consistency piece of it as well okay if like
you say the algorithm perhaps has been changed or for whatever reason you don't have engagement like
persevere and use some of the techniques that you spoke about earlier
natalie like you know doing the questionnaires making sure you're getting people to engage with
your content can help ultimately you overcome it and push it back in the right direction again
providing that you said you haven't used the bots etc so one of the other questions i feel like
shadow banning and ig tv are two subjects i see asked a lot. So what is the deal with IGTV? Great question. This
is something I actually created a full module on in IGA2 because of how important it is. So I say
this a lot of it. If any of you watch any of my trainings, you're going to be so used to me saying
this, but when Instagram or Facebook bring out new products, you better use them. And here's why.
Because there's teams within Facebook that work on different products. So there's a team
specifically working on IGTV. And when Instagram launched IGTV, they did a massive launch about it
and they really wanted this to be an amazing product. And so there's a team in Instagram
working on this product that they want to be amazing. Now, how is it going to be amazing?
Well, it's only going to be really good and it's only going to work if a lot of people actually
use it and if a lot of people watch it. So this whole thing of creating content and consuming
content, it's only going to work if both elements are there and so in order to get this product to work it needs to be visible and needs to be pushed on
the feed so if you go on your Instagram feed right now chances are you'll see the IGTV icon it'll have
like a kind of unread message notification so it's trying to encourage you to click on it and
no doubt the people that are creating IGTV in your feed are top of your algorithm
and their IGTV episodes are being promoted everywhere.
And now that I've said this, you know, you kind of decide you're buying a red car and
then you see a red car everywhere.
It's going to be this.
I guarantee you're going to start to see IGTV everywhere because I was writing out the module
and I was kind of telling Stephen everything that I was writing.
And he reported back a week later, he was like, Natalie, everyone at the top of my feed
is using IGTV.
And so it's really important for us to be using products that Instagram care about pushing.
And right now, I think it's a really exciting time to get in on IGTV.
And I think if you get in early and you are an avid user of it and you are really pushing
the product for them, I think they'll reward you with that in the long term too. Everything I say is just my thoughts,
so don't take this as fact. But I do think that because that's the way it works, right? Like the
people that got on Instagram earlier, they are doing well. And I think it will be the same with
IGTV. So you can do tons of different ways of using IGTV. I'm not saying go out there and spend
a week recording content.
It's up to you.
If you've got any videos that you've already done,
repurpose them.
If you've got any podcasts that you've done,
throw some images behind it
and just upload it as the audio with an image behind it.
There's so many different ways you can repurpose the content,
but by doing that,
you're probably going to be boosted up the algorithm.
So maybe keep a spreadsheet and track your progress,
track the data, see the engagement, all of these different things. But I massively
recommend using it. I think it is a really good tool for all of us. While I'm on this,
think about the way you title your IGTV. Think about it as being SEO, whether I'm writing an
email caption or I'm putting a video up on YouTube and I actually, my first ever video
that went up on YouTube went completely viral. I got quarter of a million views and I got like
15,000 YouTube subscribers in like the shortest period ever from one video. So this is where kind
of SEO is important with videos. Think about what your ideal follower is searching and looking for
and then carve out your title to be that that's really really important
don't just throw something up saying video one IGTV or I'm on IGTV because you're really wasting
the opportunity to do some SEO there and I think that's a big opportunity if I didn't already say
it I'm excited about it you teach that in the course the IGA course as well because I've seen
that in there which is absolutely epic so I have two questions left. Now, the first one is, if you were only going to use one of your many
tactics to grow your following, what would it be? I would be creating viral content. And also within
IGA, I've put our entire formula for how to create viral content and it's pretty in-depth. It's a really awesome tactic, but just generally creating viral content is so important and it's really
going to get you out there in front of tons and tons of people. So what I mean by that is creating
content that a lot of people are going to engage with and share because the more they share you,
the more you're going to be discovered. And our content at Boss Babes actually shared more by
other people than it is by us on a daily basis, is crazy but it really does equate to our growth so do some
research on the kind of pages that your ideal follower is following what content is going viral
there and the way to spot viral content is if all posts have like 5,000 likes on one page and then
one post has 30,000 likes, that's a sign that it
went viral. And so screenshot it, go through your pages, get like 40 screenshots together,
go through and study it. Try and decide the formula that your ideal follower is looking
for to make a piece of content go viral and share them four times a day. Go crazy, get consistent,
get the virality out there. And that's a really great tool for growing. So I feel like there have been so, so many useful
tips in here. And for those who are on Instagram and they're wanting to grow, there's lots and
lots of things that they can utilize, like lots of tips that we've spoken about. But one thing I
would just want to touch on is we have a lot of people who follow us who are actually a little bit shy so they don't really
know how to put themselves out there or they feel a little bit scared to write about their lives or
they've never even been live can you think back to the first time that you went live or you recorded
that YouTube like how did you overcome that fear and just be like right I'm doing this I'm so glad
you asked this and for everyone listening I keep saying oh I've covered that in IGA and I just want to put
that out there me and Danielle didn't chat about these questions before we did the podcast I
actually got one of the amazing people on the Bosswave team to go into the society and look at
what everyone was asking and send those questions to Danielle I didn't want to know what they are
because I didn't want to prepare and I want this to kind of be off the cuff. But I actually just recorded the module. Well, it's a
video within a module on confidence yesterday for IGA because I know this is one of the biggest
things that stops people showing up. And then when I went home last night, I was talking to Stephen.
And so for those of you who don't know, and I will interview Stephen on the podcast at some point,
Stephen is really famous in the gaming industry and he's played in front of tens of thousands
of people. He has like hundreds of thousands of followers online. So he is no stranger to showing
up, but he is launching a new business. And he was saying, I'm actually getting a bit uncomfortable
showing up and like, not sure like how to do it and like selling it's all new to me.
And so I pulled up the video
that I actually created on confidence. I was like, let's go through it because it's such a good
topic. So just know no matter how far along in your journey you are or how often you might have
done stuff in the past, being nervous to show up online and lacking that kind of confidence is so
normal. And I created a really in-depth video in IGA specifically on this it's
called your confidence rocket ship so if you're in IGA go look for it and I'm basically trying to
put some rocket fuel in your rocket to help you go out there and show up the first thing is you
just need to get over yourself and know that it's not about you so a lot of the fears that you're
feeling I'm not going to say aren't lot of the fears that you're feeling,
I'm not going to say aren't going to happen
because that's total BS.
We know it is.
One of the fears might be,
oh, people are going to make fun of me.
And you know what?
They are.
I'm not here to say that they're not going to.
People will see what you're doing
and some people are going to be jealous of it
or they might not understand it
and they might make fun.
And you've got to be okay with building a thick skin
and getting over it.
So what I always say, and I take this from you, Danielle, because you always say fear doesn't
like to be named. So what I say is let's realize that fear isn't fact. So your fear of showing up
is not a fact. Your fear of having people say mean things to you is not a fact. You deciding that not
showing up is better than showing up because it's scary is not a fact. So
let's realize fear isn't fact and then start to coach yourself through it. So if one of your fears
is I'm really nervous that I'm going to lose some friends. Okay, fine. That's not a fact, but fine.
Get yourself to flip that on its head and coach yourself through it. So maybe it's like,
okay, you might actually lose friends by doing this because some people won't understand what you're doing and why you're doing it. And guess what? That's okay. And start
to kind of flip it on its head and give a positive reason of why it's such a important thing for you
to show up. Without showing up, you're not going to make sales in your business. Without showing up,
you're not going to be able to grow your Instagram. So that's really, really important. And the second
thing is just self-acceptance you really need to accept yourself
for who you are exactly how you are and show up anyway you know there are days where I might be
having breakouts and I don't want to be on Instagram stories because I think I look awful
do you know what I'm going to show up anyway and I think people probably watching appreciate that
I'm doing that because they almost feel like oh I can show up on Instagram I haven't done my makeup
and I haven't done those things your mission is so much bigger than you the reason that you're going out there to do any of this is
so much bigger than you so if you're unwilling to get over yourself if you're unwilling to name
your fear and realize that fear isn't fact and then you understand that just showing up anyway
and having that self-belief is important then you will show up and the more you show up the easier it's going to be
you've just spoken to my heart I love all of that and actually I didn't ask that question because
Laura sent that over I actually asked it because it's something that I personally have had to
really fight against being on video has definitely been a new thing for me and you're so right I've
really had to get over myself and really had to
like push through it and I think you said sharing your story with me sharing mine and saying look
you know we all have those fears it's how you name them and then choose to push through them
I think we all have a choice and you either let that fear consume you or you find ways around it
and I think if anyone listening to this I'd just love for them to know that Natty
and I both have our own hangups too, but it's how we show up on the days that we're not feeling like
showing up or how, like you say, we find the confidence when we don't have the confidence and
just putting that spin on it. And just to let you all know that we all have those struggles.
Thank you for sharing that. And it's so true because I remember in the beginning when you
were starting to Instagram, because for anyone anyone listening like Instagram really isn't Danielle's
focus what I said at the beginning you have to make a decision to grow your Instagram and to
do this for Danielle it's not her focus there's so many other ways we can use her talents and
genius in the business and so it was a decision of like you know what I'm not going to focus on
that and that's okay but in the beginning when you were doing Instagram stories I remember you'd
send me them be like this is crap no one's gonna even want to watch it like and I was watching them like oh my
god this is so interesting and I love anytime you do Instagram story and that's the thing whenever
you create something yourself you're so hard on yourself but whenever you watch anyone do anything
the first thing you think isn't like oh god I can't believe she started her words there oh her
hair looks such a mess you never think that but then that's the first thing we think when we see ourselves on there.
So I love that you shared that. And one of my hangups, it's funny because I am the queen of
just showing up on stories, no matter how I look, just putting it out there. But then when it comes
to recording more formal videos and like having to be more poised and put together and maybe a
20 minute video.
That's something I don't really enjoy. And Danielle is so much better at it than me.
And like, I put videos off as much as I physically can. And Danielle's like,
it's so funny when we were at my place and we were recording some videos for the site,
you were like, okay, let's set the camera up and do some videos. Now I was like, what? I don't
want to do this. And you really pushed me to push through it so even though
it might look like I show up so easily all the time and effortlessly it's just not the case for
any of us I love that that was fun when we were recording videos and we were literally giggling
for about 10 minutes straight it was yeah so I want to just finish with letting people know like
we've spoken about it a lot and I think we should give the opportunity to people to know where to find it so can you tell the listeners how they can find
out about the IGA and what even IGA is yeah so IGA is insta growth accelerator and honestly this is
I think the best course out there on the internet right now that is teaching you how to both grow
and monetize your Instagram.
You don't need to have millions of followers to make millions of dollars. And we've proved that we made a million way before we had a million followers. And it's just been something you've
been pushing me to do for a really long time. And I was so nervous, honestly, to put it out there
because I wanted it to be right. This is my zone of genius. This is what I do every single day.
And I was a bit nervous to put it out there because at the time I didn't have enough capacity to make it everything I wanted it to be and the
past few months have just been me solidly focusing on IGA and once I built up the curriculum I gave
it to people to test to see if it was actually helping grow their Instagrams the results that
we've had from it are just absolutely insane I was just writing up a testimonial yesterday
and we helped one of our clients make $20,000 in a couple of weeks through her DMs and it's those things are
really life-changing for people and in total now she's made $40,000. She's moving into a bigger
house like there's all of these big things. Her following's grown and it works so if any of you
are thinking about making that commitment to growing and monetizing yourself or
your brand on Instagram whether you're a service-based business or a product-based business
I think IGA will be one of the best investment you'll make and here's the thing that I want to
highlight and I didn't put this on the sale page or anything like that but this is the only course
you're ever going to need to invest in for Instagram and here's
why I am so committed to excellence in this one area that when Instagram release a new feature
or they release a different kind of algorithm anything like that I am putting a module in IGA
and I'm going to explain it all and explain to you all how to use it so if in a year's time something
completely new is introduced I'm going to make a module on it and I'm going to put it in the course for you you have lifetime access to this
so you're initially going to get your 12-week curriculum and then if anything else comes through
or comes up or is released it's going to get put in there so there's no need to keep investing in
Instagram courses as you go as new things are introduced like this is the one right now we're offering a thousand dollars off it's only $1,997 and the ROI on that it's I mean it's insane so it's the cheapest you're ever going
to get it I would love to have you in there if you're interested and you just want to check it
out and see what's happening you can go to insta growth accelerator so insta growth accelerator
