Starting point is 00:00:00 The following podcast is a dear media production. She's a lifestyle blogger extraordinaire. Fantastic. And he's a serial entrepreneur. A very smart cookie. And now Lauren Everts and Michael Bostic are bringing you along for the ride. Get ready for some major realness. Welcome to the skinny confidential, him and her.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Off air, you were telling us that your husband is like, it's like having two mothers to your kids. And I relate to that with Michael. Tell us about that. Yeah, so he's very hands-on, especially when they were babies. Like he would do the shower. He would change the diapers. And a lot of the men, they don't do that. Like, I know some dads that have never changed their kids' diaper before.
Starting point is 00:00:46 But Gianni's so hands-on, dresses them, does whatever. If I'm sick, he'll take care of everything. Yeah, he's a great dad. And you guys have been married for 10 years. It'll be 10 years, November 29th. That's a big milestone. This is a big milestone. Oh, you're 11. I'm lying.
Starting point is 00:01:00 11. 10. We already had 10. Ring upgrade immediately. Wait, so I go off my daughter's age because I had Giovanna three months before our wedding. So she's turning 11 next week. So it's 11 years we've been married. The anniversary is a little hard to be. So you skipped the 10 year anniversary you missed? That's a big, that's a big one. Yeah, we just like went out and had martini and went into anything crazy. But we promised ourselves that we were going to go to AC for the night in Lenox City. And like just go and gamble and like have a night and we never did it because kids. When you go out, does everyone come up to you when you're in Jersey? Not really. I mean, my town,
Starting point is 00:01:38 I just feel like, so I moved to where my husband lives. So everyone knows Gianni. And it's basically all of his friends and family. So when I go like to Trader Joe, CVS, I just feel normal because everyone knows I live there. I've lived there for 10 years now. What's the secret to staying married for almost 11 years? I don't know. Well, how do you guys keep it sexy? Well, even though we don't go on dates as much as I would like us to and like trips. We do have, have like our movie nights. Okay.
Starting point is 00:02:05 So like we get the kids to bed and we have a spare room. We go in the spare room and we'll have wine or he'll make martinis and like snack boards like charquoterie boards and we'll just watch movies all night. That's nice. Yeah. So you don't actually have to go out, which I would honestly like to go out once in a while. Just to dress up and it's a lot of work. Because he needs to recognize like I'm still pretty.
Starting point is 00:02:23 Yeah. Like at home I look homeless. Yeah, but you know I always like. baggy clothes. It's okay to do that trick. It's a party trick. Like what I like to do is get as ugly as possible in the house. Yeah. And then like I'll get really dressed up to the point where it's like he doesn't even recognize me and then you just remind him. Yeah. He's like, damn, she's hot. I forgot. I do that to you all the time. I love to like, I love to like take it to the edge of ugliness and then like totally give you whiplash. Well, sometimes I even like, we'll take walks in the neighborhood sometimes. And I'll be. like, hey, we need to maybe like get a little bit dressed.
Starting point is 00:03:02 You know what I mean? Like the neighbors are looking. Yeah. Like wearing a moo-boo with like socks with it. Oh, same. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:09 Yeah. Sox and slippers or sandals. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But it's like it's like almost like borderline like like you're not dressed for public occasions if that makes sense. No.
Starting point is 00:03:20 You should see me a school pickup. What do you look like at school pickup? Socks. Okay. Sandals or slippers. Oversized sweatshirt. leggings, hair up in a bun. That's like normal though, yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:31 No, I look. Some moms get really dressed out. That's okay, though. It's like... And then some moms come like this. Sweetie. I'm like, oh my God. Like, how do you do that?
Starting point is 00:03:41 I have a girlfriend that told me that she has a shirt, she has a shirt in like five different colors. It's a really nice shirt. And she says she'll look absolutely horrible. And then she'll go and grab one of the shirts in different colors for different days of the week. Put it on, put sunglasses on,
Starting point is 00:03:56 carry a beautiful bag and walk in like she's all put together and goes home and then just rips it all off oh so maybe that's what this girl does yeah she's always just the nine like heels like i admire her for doing that it's a i don't have the energy nor do i care i don't care oh it's a lot of work i wish i cared more but i don't yeah so i'm tired you want me to care but he's always michael is actually the mom at school you're not a mom but you are always put together he's dialed in all the time. Men are easier though. Yeah, it's easy. It's easy for you guys to be put together. Yeah, you just throw it. Us, we have to get our hair done. We have a lot of hair. Put some sort of makeup on. Nice outfit. It's a lot. Before you became famous. Did you know that
Starting point is 00:04:41 you were going to be famous when you were little? I wanted to. I always said I wanted to be a reality star because I was so obsessed with like the challenge and road rules and all like the MTV shows. So I was like, I really want to be on MTV one day and be a reality star. So how does the tryouts come for Jersey Shore? Well, I did a show previously called Is She Really Going Out With Him? Yeah. And it was just like see if I liked reality. It was like one episode, one day of filming, like nothing crazy.
Starting point is 00:05:09 I was like, oh, I loved it. That's so cool. But then I was like sending my tapes in for real world, like doing like the whole like audition tape and sending it in. I sent I think three in. They never call me back. So I was like, okay, that's not the show for me. even though I really wanted to be on real world. So then I was on MySpace or Facebook, one of those,
Starting point is 00:05:27 and I saw an audition for Guidos and Guidettes. And I'm like, oh, because that was literally like my lifestyle. Like I loved tanning. I had the poof. I loved house music. It was just like all the things. So I was like, oh, my God, this is like literally the show I'm supposed to be on. So I went to the audition and then that was that.
Starting point is 00:05:47 When you went... It was like it was meant to be. It was weird. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. No, that was happening for you. This was my calling.
Starting point is 00:05:52 But when you walk in, I mean, just because you were so good, do they just meet you one time and like, we found her? Keep having to go back. No, they said I was on like the top 10 list. And there was like a ton of people that tried out. But you had to go through like a ton of interviews. So the first interview I went to, it was like in a dungeon at a dive bar like in the basement. So I'm like, is this like a porno? Like, what is this?
Starting point is 00:06:15 I felt really weird about it. So it was literally in the basement in a dungeon. But I walked in. I had like fish nets on, leopard dress, fur coat, like trying to be really Jersey. And I did like four shots in the car because my friend drove me. And I was like, let's do this. So I did my first interview drunk. So did you know you had a strategy to get on?
Starting point is 00:06:37 Because you say you dress up like it's like extra, extra extra. You're having your shots. Well, yeah. I wanted to stand out. I wanted to stand out and be like the most. So I did like the most with my outfit, the most with like my makeup, my hair. I did four shots so like I'd be more loud and fun
Starting point is 00:06:54 like four shots in a short like just like in the car in a short period of time yeah I put Southern Comfort in a water bottle and I just went You know back in the day we should drink We just put alcohol in the water bottle Southern Comfort is a heavy I don't know how I drank that I drank that all season one
Starting point is 00:07:07 It was Southern Comfort and Long Islands That was my drink I drank that too You drink it I think you used to drink it with like I can't smell it now I can't even do brown liquor I'll die Southern Comfort is so gnarly Trash
Starting point is 00:07:18 And then I'd be like what's the one with the higher percentage. Give me that one. There was that moment. It was like, it was like Captain Morgan rum, Southern comfort. It was all that. We used to drink the brown liquor. Yeah. That is really, like, why did we do that? I can't do that anymore. The last time I took a shot of brown liquor, I was throwing up all the next day. It's like also, I used to drink like hypnotic and like shmere-off apple. Did you ever have a gold slager with the gold flakes in it?
Starting point is 00:07:43 Oh, my God. Or loco. No, what's the one that has like a ton of Everclear? Oh, yeah. That was horrible. I had a buddy, his big. thing was peppermint schnops. And you would drink with him all the time. And then like, he would go, and then he would go, and then he'd be like, oh, well, let's switch to this drink.
Starting point is 00:07:58 And he somehow, like, had built an immunity to it or something. Oh, my God. I was throwing up for days with that stuff. That's, like, similar to Goldschlager. Like, that stuff. Yeah. Ugh. So when do you find out that you get the show?
Starting point is 00:08:08 Where are you? What's the vibe? Like, were you freaking out? So I think they called me and they were like, we have to come to your house to film. And then just pack like you're going to go film for a month. and we're going to come pick you up, but we're going to be filming it. So I'm like, oh, like, am I on the show? And they were like, we don't know yet.
Starting point is 00:08:26 So I guess they did what they did to me to like 20 other people. And they were only picking eight. So they basically came to my house and I did the whole like, bye, mom, I'm going down the shore, packing, drove down the shore. And then they put us in hotel rooms with no cell phone. We were just stuck in the room by ourselves, locked doors. Like we couldn't leave for, I think, two days. What'd you do?
Starting point is 00:08:49 I mean, I brought wine. So I was drinking wine in my room. Could you read a book? Oh, yeah, you could watch TV. You could watch TV. But you were, like, stuck in the room. And you didn't know if you were going to go until, you know, the producers came and then were like, all right, pack your bags or you're headed to the house.
Starting point is 00:09:04 That sounds like a vacation now being locked in a room with a little bit of wine and some TV. I would love that. I know. I would die. Sounds fun. In a robe and bed. Barefoot dreams wrapped around. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:15 And then you order room service. So when they come into the room after two days, do they tell you, like, your. picked and you're going straight to the Jersey Shore house. They were just like, get ready. Like, you're up next to head to the house. And what's your impression of everyone when you get there? Did you know anyone ahead of time? No.
Starting point is 00:09:31 So I knew Dina. Me and Dina were like MySpace friends. And we had like similar friends in Jersey. So I knew of Dina. And she was actually supposed to be on season one. But then her grandmother died and she backed out. So I don't know who replaced Dina. But Dina was supposed to be there.
Starting point is 00:09:47 And there was another kid that was. was supposed to be on it, but he didn't make the cut. He lived near me. So when I walked in, I thought I was seeing my friend and Dina, and I didn't see them. And I'm like, what is this? Because I already felt cozy knowing they were going to be there. Yeah. So then I see everyone and they're total strangers.
Starting point is 00:10:05 And I walk in and I was just ready to party because I, every summer I would go there and I would like stay at friends houses and all we would do was drink like all day and all night. Like that's what you do in Jersey Shore like in the summertime. So I walk in and nobody. wants to take shots. No one wants to drink. I see Vinny. I was like, that's not a Guido. Like, what is that? Like, how do you define a Guido? The Guido, the Guido back in the day, it was more of a lifestyle. So everyone's saying, oh, you know, you're making fun of Italians. It was just a lifestyle. Like, like, your emo, you're punk. Got it. You're Guido, Guida. So it's like just how you present yourself.
Starting point is 00:10:40 So like tan, obviously. Okay. Tan, spiky hair, muscles. And Vinny was just none of that. So I'm like, what was he doing here? He doesn't fit in. And then nobody wanted to take shots. So I'm just like, what is this? So then what sort of breaks the ice? If no one wants to take shots and have fun, what's the icebreaker? I just did it myself. Okay. And then what is everyone else doing sitting there? I mean, you saw the first episode, right? I got wasted and everyone was just watching me. I embarrassed myself. Yeah, but then everyone like fell in love with you. Like I feel like people fell in Punch in the face. Yeah, people all fell in love with you.
Starting point is 00:11:18 I almost died. There was something like really endearing to me watching the show about you right away. Yeah, I think I just, I wanted to have a good time. I was young. I just turned 21. Yeah. And I just, my boyfriend just broke up with me at the time. So I was like miserable and I just wanted to go out and have a good time.
Starting point is 00:11:34 But my goal was to like go down the shore. And I wanted to like get married young. I wanted to have kids young. So my plan was to find my husband that summer. And it didn't happen. And it happened like two summers after. So what, I mean, anyone who's watched knows what happened, but what did happen? You didn't find your husband. What did you do? You guys just partied? Yeah, we just partied. Everyone was
Starting point is 00:11:57 hooking up with each other. It was incest. When we look back at it, because I, I see my roomies as like my brothers and sisters now. So when we watch old clips of us, like kissing or like doing, it's disgusting. Who did you think at the time was the hottest in the house? I thought Ron was the cutest for sure. I was like, Ron, you're cute. Ron was the cutest. Ron was the cutest. Mike thought he was the cutest. Yeah, and Pauli was like the definition of a Guido. Ron was like the Gorilla Juice heads, which we called them. And then Mike was like in between a Guido and Juice Head, but like a skinny juice head. And then Vinny, I don't know where he fell. And what's a what's a Guidat? Is that how you say it? Yeah, a guidat. Like describe it to someone who doesn't know what that is. Yeah. It's,
Starting point is 00:12:44 It's just like the female version of a guido. You like to tan. You like house music, big hair, a lot of makeup, long nails. Does it still exist now, or was it just a moment in time? Well, I still like big hair. Okay. I still love my big hair, and I do miss the poof. I'm thinking about bringing it back, but I don't know.
Starting point is 00:13:02 This is A plus journalism getting into the guise and guidettes. I still love animal print and leopard print. Like, that's still my jam. I still love house music. That's all I listen to. Okay. So I still love all the things. I just, I feel like I, I feel like my style is more like mommy now.
Starting point is 00:13:18 Yeah. But like when I do go out, I like to wear leopard and stuff. So what is it like having cameras in your face all the time at that point? I feel like since I wanted it so bad and I knew that I wanted to be a reality star, like I just expected it and I got used to it right away. Yeah, but it was a lot for the first week. It was weird because back in the day, like, they don't break the fourth wall, which means like you can't look at the camera. you can't talk to the producers. It's just like you in a bubble
Starting point is 00:13:47 and you can't speak to anyone else outside of that bubble. And now we're all best friends and like we talk every single day. How we shoot is way different now, but back in the day, I would like ask a producer question. She would just be like this to me. I'm like not talk to me.
Starting point is 00:14:01 Because they could not interact with you. No, they couldn't interact with the cast. So I'm like, what the hell is this? And now you're friends with. Would they just be standing? Yeah. And I'm like, hello? Like, can I go to the bathroom?
Starting point is 00:14:11 Like I need help. And she would just. stare at me and I'm like, and they're like, you can't talk to the producers. I'm like, okay. It's kind of like fend for yourself in front of the camera type deal. Did you, when you look back, did you guys blow up overnight? Or was it like a slow build?
Starting point is 00:14:28 I think the promos for the show really started to like build the anticipation of the show. Yeah, we were like, what? It was crazy. Yeah, they were like, who the hell are these people? Why are they orange? Why are they dressed like that? What do they talk like that? It was just like we were a different breed of species.
Starting point is 00:14:43 that nobody knew about unless you were from the East Coast. So the whole world was like, who are these creatures? And then I think once I got punched in the face, that's when everyone started tuning into the show. I mean, the show, because we were from California at the time, we're in San Diego, you're right. I had never been to the Jersey Shore. So you are right.
Starting point is 00:15:03 It was almost like a different culture. Yeah. They were like, what is this? Remind me why you got punched in the face. It's been a while. Well, this guy at the bar, he was wasted. and we kept ordering shots and he kept stealing the shots. So the first time I'm like, oh, whatever.
Starting point is 00:15:18 Second time, I'm like, all right, those were our shots. Third time I ordered another round of shots, he took them again. I'm like, bro, these aren't your shots. Like, stop. And then he was starting to get nasty with me. And I called him ugly. And then he punched me. Oh, man, I forgot it was a guy that did that.
Starting point is 00:15:32 How did he not get in trouble? Well, he got arrested. I don't know what happened with that. But he lost his job. He was a gym teacher. So he couldn't get a job after that. And then his dad did an article recently. not recently, probably like five years ago, saying that I'm the reason why his son had to enroll
Starting point is 00:15:48 in the army because he couldn't get a job. So he had to join the army. Well, that's a lesson that you shouldn't punch people, even if you're on or off TV. I was like, that's not my fault. It's your son's fault. Remember when that guy stuck his finger down my pants at the bar? Ew. Yeah. I was like bending over the bar, seersucker, and this guy came up behind me. And Michael, who was my boyfriend at the time, saw him, like, he like stuck his finger in my pants. There's creeps out there. He just, yeah, just walked in.
Starting point is 00:16:19 I got an ending, no hello, no anything. That's sick. Yeah, it's like you don't act like that and you won't. What you do? He went nuts and then he ran. Oh, my God. That's sick. And then we never heard from him again.
Starting point is 00:16:35 What a creep. Okay, so when you guys start to gain momentum and blow up overnight, what is that like? because you can't, like, call your friends from high school. They're not going to understand. What was that like for you? Well, yeah, it was crazy. So after a couple episodes aired, they were like, all right, we have to do press now, MTV.
Starting point is 00:16:55 So we're like, okay, cool. They were like, we're going to fly you to L.A. Because we were supposed to do it, like, locally, I think, in the city. And then everything changed to L.A. And we were like, oh, my God. Like, I've never been to California before. I hardly flew. Like, I went to Florida a couple times on vacation as a kid.
Starting point is 00:17:09 But, like, I wasn't, like, used to flying or doing anything. So we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. So flying to California. And then we did all the shows. Like we did E-News, TMZ. And then we were supposed to be there for only like two nights. We ended up staying for a week because then Jimmy, Jimmy Kimmel wanted us or Jimmy Fallon, one of those. What's his name?
Starting point is 00:17:30 Oh my God. He retired. David Letterman? Well, yeah, but he's in the city, right? Jay Leno. Jay Leno. Jay Leno. Like we were doing all these crazy shows.
Starting point is 00:17:39 And they were like, hey guys. We were just like, what are we doing? So we ended up staying there for a week and obviously we went out to party because we were there and we wanted to go out and party. So we were like partying with Leonardo DiCaprio, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton. It was crazy.
Starting point is 00:17:55 And were they coming up to you and being like, we love your show? Yeah, they were like GTL, bro. All right, everyone, listen up. Big News. Branch Basics, one of our all-time favorite cleaning brands, is now available at over 600 Target stores nationwide and on Target.com.

Starting point is 00:19:33 And be sure to check out the two episodes we've done with the Branch Basics founders. I have this hack that I do with my kids, and it's called cookie granola. And I tell them that we are going to have cookie granola. It is such a treat. They get so excited. And the cookie granola that I tell them about is by purely Elizabeth. They have this one that is chocolate sea salt. It is so good. My kids love it. They also have an actual cookie granola, too. And what I like about the specific granola is it's organic oats, It's nutritious ancient grains and its superfood seeds. So while my kids think they're having cookies, they're actually having these delicious, crunchy clusters that are gluten-free, vegan, non-GMO, and they're baked with coconut
Starting point is 00:20:20 oil and coconut sugar and unrefined sugar. It's a great hack. My kids are obsessed. They like steal the bag out of my hand. Everything by Purely Elizabeth is certified USDA organic. And it's full of ancient grains. and superfood seeds. Everything contains no artificial flavors. I personally am a big fan of their original ancient green granola. I sprinkle it over my Greek yogurt and drizzle some raw honey on top.
Starting point is 00:20:47 It's amazing, especially after the gym. It's so good. So if you want to check out their cookie granola, visit purelyelisabeth.com and use code skinny at checkout for 20% off. Purely Elizabeth. Taste the obsession. One thing I take very, very seriously for my children is their diaper. because you're using so many diapers every single day, and I also take the wipes seriously. I want wipes that are clean. And I was introduced to coterie and fell absolutely in love. All my children have used their diapers and their wipes. They still use their wipes. We have these wipes in my bags. We have them in my car. We have them in the drawers. We have them everywhere in the kitchen, all the things. They love them. And what I like about this brand is they really have thought of everything.
Starting point is 00:21:33 baby skin is so delicate, especially their microbiome and their skin barrier. And so it's really important on having a minimalistic diaper wipe. Cotory developed everything with this gentle sort of like less is more philosophy when they were creating their product. You should also know that Cotory has launched first wash. It's a tear-free hair and body wash. And it leaves everything super silky. They also have like a soft cream, which moisturizes both the face and body. and a bun bomb. It's gorgeous, really buttery bomb that I love not only for diaper changing, but you could also use it for dry patches. I like that the brand takes out a lot of the guesswork, okay? So it's hyperalogenic, it's dermatologist tested, it's made without fragrance, which is so important. And there's no parabens, it's cruelty-free, it's vegan, it's microbiome-friendly, and most importantly, it's pH-balanced. Head to codery.com and use code skinny 20 at checkout for 20% off your first order at cotery.com. That's codery.com, code skinny 20.
Starting point is 00:22:38 Leonardo DiCaprio saying GtL. Yes. Lindsay Lowen saying Gt. And she had her ankle bracelet on at the time. What was it again? Jim tan laundry, right? Yeah. She had her ankle bracelet on.
Starting point is 00:22:48 Yeah, it was like, how are you at the club? You have your ankle bracelet on. Jim tan laundry. It was a very iconic moment in time. No, but is that weird? That's what I'm saying, like, everybody knew about it at that time. And it was in that weird. Like, that doesn't happen with shows anymore.
Starting point is 00:23:01 No, I know. I know. I know. And I imagine it's strange because you guys film all that and then you don't do anything for a while. And then it starts to air and you like almost have to like you forgot like you did all those. We all went back to our normal lives. Like a lot of people had careers. Ron was in real estate. Jenny was like running this nightclub and clubs in Long Island.
Starting point is 00:23:21 She was going to school to be a graphic designer. I was going to school to be a vet tech. Like we all went back to our lives because we were like, that was fun. You know, we did it. But back to our lives. And then once it aired, everything changed. Like I couldn't finish my school. Everyone got fired from their jobs because we were just traveling so much.
Starting point is 00:23:38 Like we were worried about our income because we didn't have like a plan. You know what I mean? It was very spontaneous. Because like they didn't pay a lot in those early, the first seasons, right? The first season they didn't pay us. We only got paid from Danny from the t-shirt shop. He gave us $200 a week. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Starting point is 00:23:56 They didn't pay you for the show the first season? No. So at what point do you guys all band together and know you have leverage? that you guys have a huge show that you should be getting paid for. Oh, after they said season two, we're going to Miami, we knew we had to get paid. So did you guys all meet together and say like, we're... Yeah, we banned together. We all ended up getting like managers, agents and did the whole thing. Some casts don't do that. Oh, I know. They, right?
Starting point is 00:24:21 They fend for themselves, but we all banned together. I personally think that's smarter, right? Because then you all, like, you all know your worth. You either lose one and you replace one. or you lose the entire cast. And supposedly, they said that Jersey Shore was supposed to be a cycling cast. So every season, it's different people. That wouldn't have worked. That's why they didn't do it. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:24:45 So when you guys all get managers and agents and you do the second season, is your life's completely different, no one's working at their own job? What is that like in the house? What's the energy? Is it different? Yeah, I feel like we knew what we were doing now. Like, it wasn't just fun and like, oh, we're doing the show real quick. like what a fun experience.
Starting point is 00:25:03 We knew this was going to be our jobs now. And is there like sort of like a villain in the house at this point? Or is everyone getting along? Season two? Yeah. I feel like people were headbutting with Mike a little bit and Angelina. And are you guys, is it actually real or is it put on for television? No, everything was real.
Starting point is 00:25:23 Unfortunately. Yeah. I wish I could say it wasn't. It's all real. Because there's a lot of embarrassing things that I wish. How did you manage those quote unquote embarrassing things? things in your personal life. When people, everything gets filmed, it comes out, your family, friends, people who know you, like, what are the conversations that take place then after when
Starting point is 00:25:40 they see all the footage? Well, my friends knew exactly what I was going to do on the show because they babysat me all the time. So they were like, oh, I'm surprised you did that on TV. I'm like, I know. But like, my mom and my dad, they were like, is this how you act? I'm like, I'm so sorry. But I was 21. Like, you can't tell me. What are you talking about? Give us some embarrassing things that you feel like when you reflect back you think are embarrassing. Just like the hooking up aspect of it because my parents saw that. And then now like if my kids decide to one day watch it, they're going to see their mom like not kissing their dad. You know what I mean? Just like it's like embarrassing things now.
Starting point is 00:26:18 I feel like it's such a, it's such a moment. It's so nostalgic. It's iconic. I think they're going to get it. Yeah. Well, my kids think I'm an actress right now. So that's what they think you do for a living this. You just explain it that way if they see. I'd be like, this is just acting. No, yeah. Until they're like 18. Then maybe I'll like tell them the truth.
Starting point is 00:26:37 And so as you guys keep doing seasons, are you all like going to the producers and saying we know our worth like pay us more like you're lucky to have us basically? Like do you know your worth at this point? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, we weren't cocky about it though. We were just like, please. Like it would be nice and we always got what we wanted.
Starting point is 00:26:57 and the network was happy. We were happy. At what point do you start going out wherever you guys are as a group and all these people come up to you? Like when does it get like so crazy? Yeah. Yeah, it was right after season one aired.
Starting point is 00:27:12 We couldn't go. So after season one, the show blew up. We went to L.A. We did all the things. Like everyone knows about us now. So when we were filming season two in Miami and we were just like walked down Main Street and like go to dinners or, you know,
Starting point is 00:27:26 go to the clubs. the first season when we did that, no one knew who we were. So we were just like walking and it was whatever. Now we had paparazzi, like 50 paparazzi's following us, people screaming, fans. So from season one to season two was day and night. Did you like that? Yeah, we thought we were so cool. We're like, hey, and like posing for paparazzi and producers were yelling at us.
Starting point is 00:27:47 Like, you're supposed to be just normal people, like not celebrities. So we loved it. I mean, this sounds fun. Yeah, we were so cool. At what point do you realize that you wanted to use, not use the platform, but leverage the platform to start your own business and do your own thing? Like, when did you start to have the business mind? I don't know. I feel like the whole season one to season six, it was just like party mode.
Starting point is 00:28:12 Yeah. Like, this is great. Let's take what we can get because it's going to be over soon. So I feel like, I feel like after I had Lorenzo, which was, that's when they ended the series, which was season. Six. Was it because you had a baby? Yeah, and I think they wanted to take a break. Like, they didn't want to oversaturate the show too much.
Starting point is 00:28:33 So they did the break. And then once I had Lorenzo, me and Jenny did our spin-off Snooky and Jaywow, which did very well also. I like that show. And that was just me from party girl to mom and, like, doing the whole transition. So I didn't really become business savvy and, like, build a career until after I had Lorenzo because I was like, all right, I need to make money for this baby. And I need to be responsible.
Starting point is 00:28:54 and it's not about partying anymore. So what was your first thing that you launched to your fans? I feel like I had the slippers. The slippers was like the first thing that I really did. My snooky slippers that I always like shuffled around
Starting point is 00:29:06 in the house with. That's content marketing. The big slippers. I love them. But then I had, I opened my online store, the Snokie shop. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:14 So that opened, I think right before Lorenzo was born. So yeah, I was just doing like little things that I always wanted to do. Did your husband want you to continue to do the show or did you want you to get off reality television
Starting point is 00:29:27 when you guys got married? No, he still wanted me to do my career and do all the things, but he didn't want to be involved as much. He didn't want to be involved. Yeah. So then what makes you decide to come back to reality television years later?
Starting point is 00:29:40 Like the reboot? Yeah. Jersey Shore family vacation? Yeah. I don't know. I feel like when it came back, everything was coming back. So, like, Friends was coming back.
Starting point is 00:29:48 They were casting, new cast for, like, back in the day shows. So everything, it was, just like a very nostalgic time for things to come back. And we were just like, we did a group chat. We were like, if we were to come back, would you all be down? And everyone was like, yeah. So then we pitched it to MTV and then they bought us again. And every single person came back? Yeah, except Sam. Why didn't she come back? She didn't want to, she wanted to break. And I feel like her and Ron were not good. So she didn't want to be around him. And I don't know, I just feel like she didn't want to be, she didn't want to be involved.
Starting point is 00:30:24 When you guys get the cast back together, did you guys have that same essence and magic that you had years before? Yeah, and everybody was like scared because obviously we were older. I had two kids at the time. So they were like, oh, how is she going to be? And I was even ragier because I was a mom, like toddlers. So I walked in the house. You came to party hard. I came to party.
Starting point is 00:30:45 I think I peed in the pool. It was a nightmare. And then I'm like, oh, my God, I shouldn't be acting like this as a mom. I was a little more tamer, but I was still like a meatball. No, but I imagine like that's like it's like a switch in the brain where it's like it's party time again. Well, yeah. Because you get in that environment with all those people. Yeah, so it's like back in the day, like we're 21 again and living in the house.
Starting point is 00:31:05 Like let's rage and we all did. But then I'm just like, wait, I have two kids at home. I'm married. It's like I kind of like need to class it up a little bit, but still have fun. Do you watch yourself back on television when you're on it? Like back in the day stuff? Both. Or stuff now?
Starting point is 00:31:20 Do you watch? Like if you're on a reality show, do you go? home and watch the show? No. Never. Not really. I feel like once it's done, it's done. Because then like my voice will annoy me.
Starting point is 00:31:32 My hair bothers me or like I'm like, oh, I should have put makeup on, but I didn't. Just like things bother me. That's how I would be. I would be detached from it. Yeah. But Mike, Mike is totally, Mike loves watching himself. He's just like, oh, love me. I'm just like, ugh, I can't watch it.
Starting point is 00:31:50 Like my voice bothers me now. Mike was a breakout star too like you, I feel like of the cast. Like he stood out. Yeah. And he's been sober now. So what is it like for him going sober back into that? Yeah. So I feel like that was a test for him because I don't remember how many years sober he was when we started the show in Miami back years ago.
Starting point is 00:32:11 But now I think he's coming up on 10 years sober. Good for him. Yeah. He's doing great. Sobriety wise, business wise. Like he's killing it. And he has kids. He's got three kids.
Starting point is 00:32:22 The wife? Is everyone married now on the cast? No. So, Polly and Nikki aren't married. Vinny's still single. Okay. Ronnie is dating and Angelina isn't married. Vinny's still single. Did you hear that girls? Vinny's single. Is he looking? Good luck with that. Why good luck with that? He's a lot. Why? It's just like single. I have a friend like this. He's like our little brother, even though he's like a couple weeks older than me. But he's just, he's Vinny. I can't explain it.
Starting point is 00:32:50 What's the trick to like getting him to commit? I think he's concentrating on his career right now. So he's doing like stand up and doing all the things. He lives in the city. He has a great place. Like he's bachelor life is like really good on him right now. But obviously eventually he definitely wants to, you know, find a wife and have kids. But I don't think it's going to happen yet.
Starting point is 00:33:12 I have a friend like that. I'm totally. There's Taylor. I had one of my friends the other day. He's like almost 40 years already looked at me. He's like, you know. That was Taylor. I think it might be time for me to settle down.
Starting point is 00:33:22 I'm like, yeah, man, no shit. Yeah, that's Vinny. He'll be 38 this year. He turns 38 right before me. Well, it's weird because we have three kids too. And so, like, this gap starts to happen with, like, the friends that have kids and the friends that don't. Because we're living in two different worlds. Yeah, like, our kids are going to be in college when Vin decides to have a child.
Starting point is 00:33:41 Like, I was explaining to my... Like, how they're going to be friends? Yeah, like, my buddy that doesn't have kids, I was like, you know how you just, like, wake up in the morning and, like, walk out your front door and do whatever you want? It takes me like 45 minutes just to get out of the front door. Yeah. And another 30 minutes to get them actually in the car. Yeah. Like just get in the car.
Starting point is 00:33:56 And a lot of bribery. Someone told me the other day. I was like, I'm sweating by the time I get in the car. And they said, you shouldn't do that. You shouldn't bribe with food. I'm like, oh, you can't do anything nowadays. Oh, I bribe with everything.
Starting point is 00:34:07 I'm like. I don't care. Yeah. It's. I don't go by any rules. If your kids came to you when they were in college and said, I want to do a reality show just like, what would you?
Starting point is 00:34:18 What would you say? Please no. Would you really? I really want them to do something different just because I know the industry and it's not great all the time. Why? I don't know, just a lot of shady stuff and just everyone knows you and everyone has an opinion. I don't want people attacking them. Like they don't like filming right now.
Starting point is 00:34:39 Like my little one loves the camera and he'll like touch it and be funny with it. But he's only six. He doesn't really get it. My son hates it. He's 13. He's like, I don't want to be on TV. Like don't push me. So that's why my kids aren't on TV on the show a lot because they just don't want to be.
Starting point is 00:34:53 And I have to respect that for them. How do you handle some of that? I don't want to say criticism, but some of the commentary from people that watch you or follow you. That's not nice commentary. So thank God we all have tough skin. Like so many people have said horrible things about us and we're like, you're just jealous. So I don't give a shit like what people say about me. But like if you're talking about my kids, like my husband or my friends, like I get mom.
Starting point is 00:35:18 I'm a bear and I get annoyed. So will you fight back in the comments? Yeah, I kill people with kindness and then they feel so dumb that they're like, oh, you're actually a chill person. I'm like, I know if you actually met me, I'm a normal, like, fun person. You're adorable. People judge me a lot. I feel like with you, though, it's like what you see is what you get.
Starting point is 00:35:36 Like, you're real on television. Yeah. I think that's why it translated the show. It seems to me that like you guys really were showing up who you are and that's why everyone liked it so much. Yeah. But I feel like the people that weren't. fans of the show, they just see us as like
Starting point is 00:35:50 alcoholics or just people that like to party and we're like so much more than that. Well, yeah, you guys also are pretty damn savvy to know how to make good reality. I mean, making reality television. That's why they're watching, right? That's why the show was so successful. It's like people want to see that. Like if you guys were just sitting around only doing
Starting point is 00:36:06 laundry and tanning, that would be pretty. Well, yeah. Do you still tan? I tan outside. Okay. I don't know when's the last time I went to a tanning bed. No tanning bed anymore. I mean, I would here and there. What's, what are your beauty secrets. I don't really have any. Well, like your lashes. Like, what's happening? Fake lashes.
Starting point is 00:36:24 You don't have any beauty secrets with your hair? My hair, no, so I'm, so I'm Chilean. So my hair is so thick. So my Jani's football and Italian and I'm Chilean. So with his hair so thick and my hair so thick, my kid's hair is insane. Like so thick. So I have very thick hair, no extensions. I just got it done yesterday. How do you get the perfect snooky poof? Walk us through it. Well, it's easier if you have thick hair, obviously. Okay. If you don't have thick hair and it's very thin,
Starting point is 00:36:55 you've got to tease this shit out of it. Okay. But I literally can just pick it up and just push it up with a clip and be done in two seconds. There's no hairspray? Well, yeah, I'll do the hairspray to, like, hold. And it stays up.
Starting point is 00:37:06 I don't need the hairspray. Because your hair is so thick. Oh. So it's pretty easy. It's not like a whole intricate thing. Oh, it takes two seconds. That's why when my poof was like a thing back in the day And they were selling the bumpet and all these things I'm like you're lying I was like that's not what I do
Starting point is 00:37:22 Oh they were using your likeness to sell the bucket And then I was like where's my check with that? You should have said it was a bumpet and then invented some kind of bumpet I know I should have really thought about it but I wasn't thinking back then I was just drinking What does your life look like now as an entrepreneur? Like what is your day to day? What are you working on? Well I'm always busy with my story.
Starting point is 00:37:44 stores. I have four stores. I'm always like doing physical stores. Yeah. Yeah. That's a lot of work. Well, I had my online for a while. And then once we had a break with like not filming, I was like, this is the perfect time to open a brick and mortar real quick. So I just did it. And then I have four more stores. So yeah, that's like a full-time job running all the four stores and like the employees and like the inventory and all that. It's a lot. And then I have my own wine. So I'm working on like coming out with new wines. I have my two podcasts that I'm doing. I feel like I'm doing more. What else am I doing?
Starting point is 00:38:17 You're being a mom. I'm doing more things. We're filming. We're still filming for next season. Yeah. Next season starts in January. What are we in for? Like half of it.
Starting point is 00:38:28 Well, the trailer just released. So you see a lot of shit go down. But you see Sam telling us she's pregnant. And then Sam having the baby, which she just had. And then her wedding's in December. So we start filming next week to like start getting everything ready for that. And you're going to film the wedding. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:38:42 What do you have to do? do to prepare to film a reality show. I know before I come on the podcast, if I'm doing like a week of shows, I have to like energetically prepare because it takes a lot of your energy and your capacity. Is there stuff that you do
Starting point is 00:38:57 to get in the reality show mode? I don't think personally. I think, I think just getting the house prepared because I'm not going to be home. So you have to organize everything. So like prepping the meals, doing all the laundry,
Starting point is 00:39:12 laying out the clothes for the kids for school, just so Gianni knows. everything. How long is the filming schedule? Well, usually we go on trips, so it could be like three days that I'm away. And I only do three days because I tell production, I can't be away from my kids for more than three days. So you got me for three days. So, but this one, we're not going away. We're just doing local stuff, but it's Monday to Friday and it's all day. So I'm not going to be home. Do you go into it with a strategy or a plan or is it just like, let's just see what happens? You know, now it's, we've known each other for like 18 years now, I feel. So we just go in and we just
Starting point is 00:39:45 enjoy each other's company and whatever happens happens. And do you guys still fight like brother and sister? Yes, all the time. Who do you fight with the most? Well, I don't personally fight with anyone. But I mean, we get annoyed with each other. Who's the most annoying? Vinny.
Starting point is 00:40:00 Vinny's annoying. He just says like his- He's getting nailed on this episode. Oh, he knows it too. He knows it. And he loves it. He loves being the villain. He just says like annoying things to everyone.
Starting point is 00:40:11 And obviously sometimes like the girls will bicker a little bit. because we're girls, but we get over it. Is your best friend really in real life, J-W? Yes. That's your real best friend. And are you guys- Well, I do have like five best friends. But she's one of them.
Starting point is 00:40:27 And do you guys fight on the show, too? No. Well, we get annoyed with each other like sisters, but we don't fight. So if Michael and I were going to go to the Jersey Shore, walk us through what we should do, like the whole itinerary. Well, you definitely need a weekend. So you would stay at my shorehouse in Seaside. Okay.
Starting point is 00:40:48 Because I have a Snooky Shorehouse that I still have yet to rent out yet. Wait, wait, wait. Hopefully next summer. You have a house that you designed that's like your brand. Yeah. That's cool. Why is it not running out? You have not wanted to rent it out yet.
Starting point is 00:41:00 I haven't wanted to yet because I feel like it's not how I want it to be. And also like I have friends and family staying there all the time. So it's just like I bought it two years ago. And it's like all done with like Snooki and Leopard. And I just had my nieces and nephews and families stay there. So definitely next year, because Gianni's yelling at me to do it, because he's in real estate. So I think next year we'll put the Snooky House on Airbnb or something for Seaside Heights. You can stay at my house.
Starting point is 00:41:27 And then obviously go see the shore store. Go see Danny. And then he'll give you the tour of the whole house, which smells like throw up in condoms. It's so gross. It still smells to this day. I don't know how we lived in that house You know what? You described that I can
Starting point is 00:41:44 Like a dirty frat house Yeah Michael Yeah I can like I know exactly what you're saying right now Yeah Yeah Just like a party house
Starting point is 00:41:52 It's like a party house yeah I have so much to say to what you just said When he first started dating me He took me to his frat room Like No I lived in a fraternity house Yeah he just smell like socks He
Starting point is 00:42:03 It's not no no Don't tell this story actually No no I'm going to He took me to his frat room And he tried to hook up with me the frat room. Okay. There's like condoms like, like, it's disgusting. I'm like, and I'm like, ew, no, I'm not hooking up with you in here like court me. No, no, listen, this is a long time ago, but there was, I lost one stuck between the wall and the bed. Yeah, you're trying to hook up with me.
Starting point is 00:42:26 And I'm like, I don't think so. But it wasn't, but it wasn't one. I was literally, I think I was the first girl to say no to you in that room. I was like, no, thank you. And that's what he knew. He fell in love with me after I said, you were like. You were like. Like, I love you every second after I said no to that room. By the way, we never hooked up in that room. There's like, whatever I had to say. There you go. It wasn't in that room, though.
Starting point is 00:42:51 I was 20 years old. This is like, you know. You would have fit in with the boys. Great. I would have spiked my hair right up. Yeah, that's all they did. I'd been doing that laundry and smashing those jam plates. Okay.
Starting point is 00:43:00 So we stay at your house. We go to the shore house that smells like throw up in condoms. Then what? And then obviously you want to go on the boardwalk. It's a little different now because Sandy has. hit. Okay. But there's still EJ's. So EJ's bar, we always went to because they served like whenever. And it's still open. It's still open. That's cool. So that's the first place I went before I got arrested on the beach. Okay. That's when I started my bender. I started at EJ's. And then you want to go
Starting point is 00:43:24 to Spicies. So Spicies is like a Mexican restaurant so you can get all the foods and margaritas. Okay. And then obviously karma's not there anymore. They knocked it down. That's sad. I know. There's no clubs anymore. There's bars, but there's no clubs. They pulled them off. They just... Yeah, they just knocked. They knocked karma and bamboo down the two clubs that we always used to go to, and they're going to put like high-rise, like condos, I think.

For someone who's never been there, How would you describe like a Saturday there? Is it just everyone's on the beach? I imagine like Pacific Beach in San Diego. Yeah, but they have like all sorts of vendors on the block and there's people and there's families. These get like all walks of life.
Starting point is 00:50:09 I said I went there when I was a kid for like, you know. And I remember it was good for kids, but there was also like a lot of adults doing adult activities. Yeah, it's very family vibes. So do you go with your kids now? I bring them like off season because obviously I can't go. Yeah. What do you do when you're with your kids and people come up?
Starting point is 00:50:27 to you. Oh, they hate it. My daughter's like, leave her alone. I'm like, you can't be nasty. So what do you do? Do you just get the selfie and keep it moving? No, yeah. I'm just like, oh, I'm with my kids. Like, quick picture. And they're like, can your kids come in? And I'm like, no, I think it's going to go off. No, no, I don't like this topic. I'm, I'm, I'm all for all that. But I think when people are with their kids, shouldn't go people with their kids. Because you're right, I don't think any kid likes it. And it's confusing to them. And they're like, who's this stranger? It's strangers. And it's, you know, like, why are they, you know, it's just, it's I think it's inappropriate.
Starting point is 00:50:57 Yeah. I think it's inappropriate. But like I think the fans get so excited because they see me as a mom with my kids on TV. So they don't even think like, oh, I might be scaring her kid. I'm just like a fan of all of you in general. You know what I mean? So they're not making them as kids. You're just like no pictures of the kids.
Starting point is 00:51:14 Yeah. Well sometimes, so my daughter Giovanna, she is, she's an athlete. She does competitive cheerleading, all-star cheerleading. So they, obviously everyone knows that she's, you know, my daughter, a cheer. So all the little cheerleaders look up to her and they like go up to her and ask for pitchers. So it's kind of like she's starting to feel like the fame of it all,
Starting point is 00:51:38 but it's for her. It has nothing to do with me. It's her being a cheerleader and her like killing it. And she's like, mom, I don't know if I like that. I was like, you can always say no, just be nice about it. So she's starting to be a little cheerleberty and like experiencing stuff herself. Well, she has the perfect person to talk to about it.
Starting point is 00:51:55 Yeah, I feel like you have all the advice. We looked at your Instagram before you came on the show. You have 18 million followers. Like, that is insane. Yeah, that's a lot of followers. Oh. I mean. Like, half of them are bots.
Starting point is 00:52:09 I don't think so. It's got to be. I don't think so. Like, your show was such a moment. Yeah. 18 million people following you is insane. I love that. I mean, it's a lot.
Starting point is 00:52:21 I have to ask some, like, routine questions. Mm-hmm. A lot of people like routines. Do you have any morning or nighttime routines that you don't? Just in general? Yeah. Morning, not so much because I hate the morning. I'm not a morning person.
Starting point is 00:52:35 So I'm always cranky. I hate the morning. I'm miserable. So what does your husband do? Let's talk about this. I want to dissect this. What is your husband do when he knows you're cranky in the morning? Oh, he still tries to talk to me.
Starting point is 00:52:44 He's like, what's wrong? I'm like, you know I'm not a morning person. Stop asking. They do it. He does it on purpose. And he's like, oh, you're cranky today. No, they want their reaction because then they want to say, what's wrong with you?
Starting point is 00:52:56 Yeah. So annoying. Why can't you just wake up with a smile? I do wake up with a smile. I have a smile, but I need to... I don't feel like talking. Yeah, I don't feel like talking.
Starting point is 00:53:08 Like quiet, unsat. Yeah, but I mean, what if I woke up like that? I would love that. What a gift! If I woke up cranky, I'm just like, I'm cranky. If you didn't want to talk in the morning, I would be just fine until 11.
Starting point is 00:53:22 If you didn't say one word... Eleven's a good time. Like, if you, I swear to God, try it for a week, you won't talk to me until 11th. I need to talk. I need to chat. I can't do it. Oh, God. I opened my eyes today.
Starting point is 00:53:34 He goes, what are we going to do today? Oh. I'm like, oh. I go, I literally, I had mouth tape on. I'm like, give him 20 minutes. I can't. God forbid I want to talk to my wife, you know. No, you got to give us a good like 30 minutes.
Starting point is 00:53:46 Go call a friend. I need more than 30. I found out I've revealed the other day when we were doing this show. And I've been, I've known her since we were 20 years old. Well, I've known, we've been together since I was 20 years old, and I just found this out that she wakes up in the morning and is pretending to sleep for 30 minutes laying there, but she's awake. Oh, yeah. And I didn't know this this whole time. So instead of opening your eyes to signal, you're just relaxing, on your eyes close.
Starting point is 00:54:12 But it's annoying because I'm tiptoeing around in the dark and stumbling around and smashing anything's trying to like respect her sleep. Yeah, I've done that. Like if I feel like I don't want to get up and bring the kids to school, I'll do that. And then Gianni does all of it. See? And then I wake up and I'm like, oh, what time is that? But I've been up the whole time and I'm just like relaxing. It's so annoying.
Starting point is 00:54:31 She'll do these things where she'll be like, I'll be up in the morning for the kids to take them to school. And it's like. And then you're knocked out. Yeah, she's out cold. I think, I have a theory that I think women's hormones in the morning are different than men's. Like I cannot. You guys have some burst of testosterone in the morning. I am, my body's not made for that.
Starting point is 00:54:51 Yeah, I'm really bitchy. I'll do the pickup. You do the drop. off. You miss the pickup too a lot of times. Stop. It happens. Get out.
Starting point is 00:54:59 It's good for you. Yeah. I check in. I'm like, did somebody get the kids at school today if I'm not there? She's like, yeah. She will.
Starting point is 00:55:05 Like, yeah, they're good. So your morning routine is to have your husband not speak to you. Yeah. And like the kids like, relax. Like stop saying mom 25 times.
Starting point is 00:55:15 Like I'm going to get everything done. We're out the door. And I just need to go to Starbucks and I need to get my, my, my, my matcha drink. And then go to tar. Target and walk around for like 30 minutes and then I'll be fine. See? Every day? Yeah, Target or I go to Walmart, Trader Joe's.
Starting point is 00:55:32 I just want to go to a store and just walk. I get that. I totally get what you're saying. I used to do this with home goods. Home goods, yes. You walk around. You smell some candles, feel blanket. Yeah, you just look at some.
Starting point is 00:55:45 He does no idea. And then you feel so much better. Then you're like, all right, let's go. Why is that? Because we're girls and we like things. When you just walk around a store? I love it. Yeah. Yeah. I do. I like touching things. Yeah, I'd park far away, walk into home goods. Do you know what's so strange about this? This sounds like my worst morning I could ever have. Like if I woke up and that was the morning for me. What's your ideal morning? I actually would like to know your ideal morning. Not stumbling around in the store half awake. That's the, that's, that's, that's, that's, no, that's what wakes us up. The way he wakes up is atrocious. The alarm goes off. The water gets splashed on the face. It's, there is a meme about it.
Starting point is 00:56:24 It's the water is so loud. It sounds like someone's like in the ocean. Is he clearing his throat? Oh, he did it this morning. Oh, my. Johnny knows that too. So I guess it's a guy saying. No, I think what happens is like, I swear to God, this didn't happen until I became a dad.
Starting point is 00:56:39 The noises get loud. I saw an eyebrow hair the other day on me that was longer than the hair on my head. I could not believe what it came from. What is that throat clearing that's never happened until we got married? Oh, yeah. You go. Yeah. Yes.
Starting point is 00:56:53 Oh, my God. I'm like, Gianni got this teeth cleaner, but it spits out water. Oh! And now that noise and then, I'm like, oh my God. He's gagging himself in the bathroom?
Starting point is 00:57:05 I hate it. And then he goes out and he's like, are you right in there? Want to hook up? I'm like, get away from me. No. Like, I don't like you right now. That sound that you all make.
Starting point is 00:57:14 Yeah, it's really, we got it, we got to rebrand that. Well, I don't know, I feel like you got to like, you gotta get the body awake or something. It was so gross. And then he gets the newspaper out And it's like Oh God, he's such a dad Yeah, it's really like
Starting point is 00:57:30 I don't know what time Sometimes I think it's like an actual prank Like how even how you open the door is like So annoying The closet door I can tell her you really feel I could hear you putting on your shorts Like how do you hear someone putting it on
Starting point is 00:57:45 See this is marriage It's a lot It's intense Well I think it's just kind of like You want to like announce that you're there You're around We got it We hear it. It's around. I wish you would wake up just subtly and quietly. The bed already is vibrating you awake and just go downstairs.
Starting point is 00:58:00 Maybe I'll wake up one morning and just head over to Target and stumble around for a while. Great. Great. See what's going on in there. The trick. I really do think that that's true what they say. Like the trick to marriage is separate closets and separate bathrooms. Yeah. That would be great. Oh, get away. It's like, ugh. The whole thing. And it's nice to have alone time. That's not talked about enough. Yeah. I agree. It's nice to have alone time. Even like couples that I talk to, like my neighbor, they're obsessed with each other. They go on dates like twice a week.
Starting point is 00:58:31 Like they just love each other. They sex each other. Like all the things. And then when he goes away for work, she's like, oh, thank God. She's like, I can sleep in. I could do what I want. She's like, I'm so excited. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:44 It's a thing. It's a little break. Like we love you so much, but it's so nice to be alone sometimes. No, I think that's good for everybody. I need to be alone too. I need to go recharge. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:58:54 Let's not act like you don't chatter in at the wrong moments too. I don't know about that. Maybe around like 12 o'clock I'll have something to say
Starting point is 00:59:02 but it's not until 12. No, do you know what her thing is? It's like she machine gun fires text messages at me. Like, I'm not going to say farts. No.
Starting point is 00:59:11 Like rapid. Like every thought that comes into her head comes through on a text. It's a strange. No. Yeah. That's normal.
Starting point is 00:59:17 Yeah. Yeah. I don't know if normal is the word. Girls do that. Yeah. Girls do that. that. Like every stream of consciousness that comes and guys have dirty condoms and throw up stuck to their
Starting point is 00:59:29 cell. I don't use condoms anymore. Okay. Do you like to be called Snooky or Nicole? I have to ask you that before you leave. Like personally. Yeah, it's whatever. I think personally, like if we were friends, like I would want you to call me Nicole.
Starting point is 00:59:42 Okay. Like my best friends from school, like my best friends are from like preschool. I'm going to see them Sunday. Can't wait. So they're still my besties. When they say Snooky, I want to throw a while. You don't like. I'm like, oh, God.
Starting point is 00:59:55 It's such a turnoff. What's the origin of that nickname? I don't even know if I know this. So my only one friend called me Snooki, and our favorite show or our favorite movie was Save the Last Dance. Okay. And the DJ was named Snook. Okay. And he was like, Snook, the Koochik crook.
Starting point is 01:00:14 And I was like the first one out of my friends like kiss a guy. Yeah. So she was like, you're the, the koochik crook. You're Snuck from Save the Last Dance. So when we applied for the show, they wanted everyone to have nicknames. And I'm like, I don't know, my friends call me Nick or Nikki because I'm Nicole. But I was like, my one friend calls me Snookie, so let me put it on there. And then I was forever known.
Starting point is 01:00:37 That brand. But my MySpace name was Snook. It was the thing, I guess. Yeah. Which I think it's like kind of iconic at this point, right? Like that's like the stage name. I don't mind it. No, it's good.
Starting point is 01:00:48 But like personal stuff and like, yeah, I do like Nicole. Where can everyone find you? And I mean, they already follow you. In bed. In my bed. 18 million followers. Where can they find what you're selling? Tell us all the things.
Starting point is 01:01:01 What did you bring me? Oh, so I brought you some nostalgic merch for my store. Okay. So it's just like funny graphic teas and just funny Jersey Shore things. But you can find me on Instagram and TikTok at Snooki. I'm just starting to like get used to TikTok. My daughter taught me how to do it. What's the trick?
Starting point is 01:01:20 Oh, just like how to like, edit it and do all the trends and stuff like that. She's really helping me. So, yeah, I'm on Snooki at social media. What's the most iconic thing that you sell in the Snooky shop? Probably my Where's the Beach stuff? So, like, me getting arrested. Like, it's always just selling out.
Starting point is 01:01:39 Yeah, that's a good one. Also, the slippers. Oh, yeah, my slippers. The slippers have got to do well. My slippers, yeah. But it's not just Jersey Shore March. So I'm my own buyer, and I design a lot of things. So it's basically like you're shopping my closet.
Starting point is 01:01:53 So even though there's a lot of merch and stuff and Jersey Shore things, it's still just like cute girl clothes. Cute. So like leopards, camos, all the prints. I love cozies. So I'm big on the cozies. That's what I love. The second that I'm out of here, it's like a whole new world for Michael. I want to be in my pajamas.
Starting point is 01:02:10 Oh, I'm putting leggings and a sweatshirt on and I'm scrubbing my face. Yeah. And don't speak to me until. So I got ready for you guys today. You're welcome. Well, we appreciate it. Snookie. Nicole, I get to call you now.
Starting point is 01:02:21 Thank you so much for coming on the show. Of course. And I'm like to book a trip to the Jersey Shore. Yeah, so we'll cancel the French Riviera and we will book the Snooky Jersey Shore. Well, yeah, if you guys are ever in Jersey, you could just come over, we'll have martini.
Starting point is 01:02:37 I would love it. The kids can play. We'll have like a nice state. I'm sure. Oh, Gianni's great. We could clear our throats together and start a symphony. Do you like golf? No, I do like golf. but I haven't had time to like, it takes a lot of time. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:02:52 Yeah. Because he's at the country club every day. A lot of people are asking you about golf. I know. You look like a golfer. Hold on. This is the perfect ending. He needs to clear the pipes.
Starting point is 01:03:00 Guys, like, I think like once you commit to golf, I feel like if I started playing, I'd be super into it. Are you athletic? Yeah. But I'm scared to commit to it because I know once you get into it, it's like a real thing people fall in love with and it's a whole time suck. Oh, yeah. You're too busy. I just know that like I would be like excited about. Like, I'll go play tennis because I can do that quick.
Starting point is 01:03:17 I should send him to play golf in the morning. Yeah, there you go. So he doesn't bother you. But yeah, all my friends that get into golf, they become obsessed with it. Yeah, that's my husband. Yeah. Okay. Thank you for coming on.
Starting point is 01:03:31 Thank you. Thank you.
