Hi, I'm Marie.
And I'm Sydney. And we're
Mess. Well,
not a mess, but on our podcast called
Mess, we celebrate all things
messy. But the gag is, not
everything is a mess. Sometimes it's just
living.
Yeah, things like J-Lo on her third divorce.
Living.
Girl's trip to Miami.
Mess.
Breaking up with your girlfriend while on Instagram Live.
Living.
It's kind of a mess.
Yeah.
Well, you get it.
Got it?
Live, love, mess.
Listen to Mess with Sydney Washington and Marie Faustin on iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Morning everybody, it's DJ
Envy, Angela Yee.
Y'all with me, the guy. We are The Breakfast
Club. Today is the last day.
Angela Yee is no longer
going to be at The Breakfast Club. She has her own
show starting.
Way up with Angelique.
That's right.
It starts the new year, and it comes on right after the Breakfast Club.
So it's time for a positive note.
I actually think we should end with a prayer.
Oh, my gosh.
We don't have no good prayers in here.
Emory's going to do some crazy prayer like he's ready to eat.
I don't have any good prayers.
I do want to just say, you know, Angela Yee, job well done.
You know what I mean?
Job well done.
It can never take away, you know, what we built.
You know, we've all made history together as a radio show.
We're in the Radio Hall of Fame.
We are linked together forever, you know.
And us three have created a blueprint for a lot of people to follow.
And I just thank God for bringing us together.
And I thank God for the last 13 years. And I can't wait to see what God has planned for us next.
And I know that it's going to be incredible.
And I know you're going to have tremendous success way up with Angelie.
And I just think it's fantastic that we built something that can spawn other things.
So job well done, Angelie.
They tried to say it wasn't going to work.
It did.
I never said that.
No, but other people did.
I believed from the beginning.
Y'all told me I was corny because I wanted to have Nicki Minaj.
What was that song?
Moment for Life.
In this moment, we'll be syndicated.
Yes.
Because I knew we would be.
No, I think it's how you was dancing to it.
I think so, too.
Yeah, I'm just going to say that.
You know, I'm going to miss my sister.
I'm not going to miss you taking stabs at me.
I'm going to miss my sister. Who's going to to miss you taking stabs at me. I'm going to miss my sister.
Who's going to protect you?
I don't know.
You don't wear protection.
What are you talking about? Well, y'all got to be more careful.
I just remember
the first days up here of me eating Sour Patch
Kids and Pepsi in my breakfast.
You know, us changing the diet.
And I just want to say we love you. Us changing the diet?
Y'all had six shots this morning.
Y'all had six shots this morning in did Y'all had six shots this morning
In the grouch
Making food yesterday
For breakfast
Yeah that's a rare thing
But Envy used to eat two donuts
And drink soda every morning
I did
And I was like
You gotta stop doing that
We changed the diet
And we got one more person
On the line
That wanted to holler at you
The most important person
Oh god
N-O-R-E
Good morning
Nori
Nori Nori Nori should be up here This morning Nori Nori Nori Nori Nori Nori Nori Nori Nori Nori Nori Nori Nori Nori Nori-R-E. Good morning, Nori.
Nori.
Nori should be up here this morning. Nori, Angela had five shots already.
She had five shots? Oh, my God.
You missing it, Nori.
I remember when Nori first became
media and we was at the bar. We was at Prime
112 doing shots to you being
media.
Woo, woo.
Hold on. We can take it back farther than that. Nori
used to come up to the Breakfast Club every
Easter. Remember, every Easter was Nori
Easter. And people fell
in love with Nori's storytelling.
Even though we always knew Nori was a
great storyteller, but hearing him
actually do those interviews
and have those conversations is what kind of
got people like, man, I would like to hear Nori
on a regular basis. That's right.
But you know what?
What they're trying to say,
folks,
is the breakfast club
put me on.
No, no, no.
Nobody said,
but Nori does always
listen to us
and give us props,
so we appreciate that
just like we always
listen to you
and give you props.
Even when I was at Sirius,
Nori used to come up
all the time.
I remember me,
you,
Patrice O'Neal.
Oh, yeah, man.
God bless him.
God bless and peace to Patrice O'Ne you today i remember when nori had me host i was unemployed at home in south carolina and nori had me host
his super thug mixtape and he tweeted you know he tweeted you know i'm always on what's next
he was like i didn't put juvenile on my album i Lil Wayne. He said, that's why I got Charlamagne hosting my mixing.
Nice.
Did he charge you, Nori?
I put NB on, too.
I put NB on, too. He did, though.
Come on, come on.
He definitely did.
Let's let it be about Angela today.
That's right.
We're going to miss you.
We're going to miss you,
even though you're going to be
right down the block.
Yeah, I'll be right there.
You're still getting that
holy moly Nori guacamole.
You know what I'm saying?
So I want to wish you the best.
I want to wish the Breakfast Club, you know, you guys have broke ground.
You guys have made history.
There will never be another Breakfast Club.
I want to give y'all y'all flowers.
And I especially want to give it to you, Yee, because, you know,
you'll be my sister throughout this whole thing.
And I love you and continue to have your success.
To all Trey, y'all.
To all Trey, y'all.
We love you, Nori.
Nori, we need another running competition while I'm on break.
Oh, I ain't going to lie.
I'm in one right now.
I'm in one right now.
Why you ain't calling me?
We went last time.
Yeah, but I'm invited to somewhere else's challenge.
But let's start one.
Start one tomorrow.
I'm in.
I'm drinking coffee and drinking water.
Now, Nori, today is the last break right now. for someone else's challenge. But let's start one. Start one tomorrow. I'm in. I'm drinking coffee and drinking water. You know what I mean?
Drinking coffee.
Yeah.
Today is the last break right now.
I think you should end
with an N-O-R-E prayer.
Okay, yo, listen.
To my Breakfast Club people,
to the people out there,
we pray in Jesus' name.
We hope,
we hopefully Kanye
comes back to normal.
Oh my God.
You know what I mean?
Why did you,
hold on, hold on, back up.
We don't want to mix
these things in together.
God just said this one's in the spam folder. No. That's like that didn't happen. That went nothing. You know what I mean? Why don't you, hold on, hold on, back up. We don't want to mix these things in together.
God just sent this one to the spam folder.
No, exactly.
That didn't happen.
Don't mix that in with the last prayer.
God put this prayer to the trash.
That's not my bad, but listen, listen.
For real, you know, man, you know, man,
thank y'all for everything that y'all did, you know, for everyone's career.
You know, y'all come there with no apologetic journalism. I learned a lot from you
guys, and I wish y'all guys the best
of your endeavors.
I already got the call to replace Angela Yee,
but I said I got to chill.
You know what I'm saying?
But yo, man,
I really wish y'all the best, man.
For real, man. Y'all are real people, and y'all deserve
y'all flowers. Y'all deserve everything y'all get.
And you continue to be great.
And I can't wait to do your show.
And I can't wait to do the new version of The Breakfast Club as well.
Amen, y'all.
Amen.
Thank you, N.O.
How he do it.
All right, Nori, love you, bro.
Love y'all.
Peace, peace, peace.
All right.
And there you have it.
Lights are off.
And it's a wrap.
Oh, no.
We got to be here Monday.
Lights are not off.
No, I mean for you.
Who are you talking about?
No, they not. No, my lights are on. The lights are pretty off. No, I mean for you. What are you talking about? No, they not.
No, my lights are on.
The lights are pretty, very much on.
I mean for her.
They're like brighter than ever.
Yes.
What are you talking about?
So we hear the Ye mix.
A jersey goes to the Raptors.
Oh, we heard it already.
We played it already.
All right.
You're not making that flight.
Play it again.
No.
Jasmine, just remember to record it.
Play it again, Sam.
The Jasmine brand exclusive.
All right.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Thank you, Sam. The Jazz and Brand exclusive. All right. It's The Breakfast Club. Thank you, Yee. Had enough of this country?
Ever dreamt about starting your own?
I planted the flag.
This is mine.
I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete.
Or maybe not.
No country willingly gives up their territory.
