The Breakfast Club - Are You Your Brothers Keeper?

Episode Date: December 1, 2021

Today on the show they opened the phone lines to see if any of our listeners would help their brother or sibling if they were in a situation like Chris Cuomo coming to the rescue for his brother Andre...w Cuomo’s recent accusations. Moreover, Charlamagne is still on vacation so we had listeners call in to nominate their own “Donkey of the Day” and Angela helped some listeners out during Ask Yee, with one listener a little upset with his wife not doing her role in the household. Starting point is 00:00:00 Had enough of this country? Ever dreamt about starting your own? I planted the flag. This is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete. Or maybe not. No country willingly gives up their territory. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:00:16 What is that? Bullets. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. We need help! That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey guys, I'm Kate Max. You might know me from my popular online series, The Running Interview Show, where I run with celebrities, athletes, entrepreneurs, and more. After those runs, the conversations keep going. That's what my podcast
Starting point is 00:00:46 Post Run High is all about. It's a chance to sit down with my guests and dive even deeper into their stories, their journeys, and the thoughts that arise once we've hit the pavement together. Listen to Post Run High on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:01:21 Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best. And you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. It's a reason that the solid hold it down. It's the beige rage and the agitator.
Starting point is 00:01:46 The Breakfast Club. Everyone just kept telling me to prep for this. One word to describe the Breakfast Club would be black. Impacting the culture. People watch the Breakfast Club for like news and really be tuned in, man. I don't even know what to call the Breakfast Club. It's like brunch. Envy, Yee, and Charlamagne.
Starting point is 00:02:01 Wake that ass up. Get out of bed and listen to The Breakfast Club. I'm waking up. Good morning, USA! And everybody around the world. Now, Charlamagne's not here today. DJ Envy is running late. I'm going to give him a little bit of a pass because Gia just had a baby a couple of days ago.
Starting point is 00:02:24 So they have their sixth child in the house. So they get a pass for that. And Envy will say that he had to get gas on the way to work or some other excuse. But, you know, we keeps it moving. Today is what day? Hump Day! Thank you. Today is Wednesday.
Starting point is 00:02:39 It is a hump day here in New York City. Now, I don't know if y'all watched the Brooklyn Nets versus the New York Knicks last night, but that was an amazing game. Shout out to our Brooklyn Nets who really pulled that one off. I wish Emmy was here so we could discuss it, but I'm sure he'll be here shortly. We got a lot of things to get into this morning. Surprise, surprise, Dr. Oz is running for U.S. Senate. Like we didn't see that coming.
Starting point is 00:03:04 Also, we'll talk about LeBron James and his COVID-19 protocols. And another school shooting. We'll discuss that during Front Page News. A 15-year-old boy is in custody. And this is really tragic because three people did die and eight people were injured. This was in Michigan. So we'll get all into that this morning. So many things for us to discuss. I think Charlamagne took an extended vacation. You know, he always says it's really
Starting point is 00:03:29 hard to go back to work. We actually ended up having Monday off. Now we're not on Revolt TV anymore. So you guys can't see us in the morning. So I definitely roll up here. I mean, I always rolled up here in my sweats every single morning, but it's really bad now. And I'm going to start pulling it together toward the end of the year. I think this is my favorite time of the year. You know why? The holidays are coming up. I feel like nobody's really for real doing a lot of work unless you're working retail or for Amazon. Everybody's kind of coasting by until the end of the year.
Starting point is 00:04:00 I don't know if that's true for everyone. But, yeah, a lot of things to discuss this morning. So coming up next, we have front page news. We'll talk about LeBron. We'll talk about the shooting that happened at a high school in Michigan. And I'm sure by that time, DJ Envy will have gotten his gas and he'll be here at work this morning. But also, you'll be calling us up this morning to get it off your chest. Maybe you're the only responsible co-worker out of all your co-workers that you work with.
Starting point is 00:04:26 You know. You know how it is, women. Holding it down on The Breakfast Club. Hey. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. I was a little late.
Starting point is 00:04:38 We noticed. Yeah. I got the 4 o'clock feeding, and the baby didn't wake up till 4.30. So the baby was late, actually, if you really want to know. Baby has to get it together. Okay. All right, well, let's get into some front page news.
Starting point is 00:04:51 Shout out to our Brooklyn Nets, 112 to 110. They beat the New York Knicks last night. James Harden led the Nets with 34 points. Go ahead. All right, well, congratulations to the Brooklyn Nets. This is both New York teams. All right, so where are we starting? All right, and LeBron has entered COVID-19
Starting point is 00:05:06 protocols. He's expected to miss multiple games, and they're saying that it means one of two things, that either, by the way, he is vaccinated. He either tested positive for COVID or he had an inconclusive result. Now, they say he tested positive twice. They said he took three tests, and two out of three were positive.
Starting point is 00:05:21 Now, they're saying, yeah, if he tests positive, he's looking at a minimum of 10 days away from the Lakers unless he returns two negative tests in a 24-hour span. So clearly, no. Yeah, 10 days is three games. So he's going to miss three games. Yeah. Well, alright. And a really tragic story. A 15-year-old
Starting point is 00:05:38 boy is in custody. Three students died and eight were injured. This was a shooting that happened yesterday afternoon at a high school in Oxford, Michigan. The Oxford High School students killed were Tate Meyer, who is 16, Hannah St. Juliana, 14, and Madison Baldwin, who is 17. Eight others, who are seven students and a teacher, were shot and three are in critical condition with gunshot wounds. That includes a 14-year-old girl. She's on a ventilator after having surgery and there's a 14-year-old boy. He's in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the jaw and head. And three students are in stable condition.
Starting point is 00:06:09 And the teacher who was shot has been discharged. Now, on Anderson Cooper, Aiden Page, who was a student at Oxford High School, was on last night. And he was describing what happened at the school. We heard two gunshots. After that, my teacher ran to the room, locked it, we barricaded, and then we covered the windows and hid. We made this barricade, and there was a bullet hole that shot through our door. And I understand some students were trying to arm themselves with whatever they could find? We grabbed calculators, we grabbed scissors, and just in case if the shooter got in, and we had to attack them. You know how scary that must be.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Yeah, I could imagine. You know, kids want to go to school and learn. They don't want to have to worry about shootings. They want to be safe. And, you know, usually school was the safe place, but now you just never know. You got to pray every day your kid goes to school. Now, the suspect has been taken into custody without incident.
Starting point is 00:07:03 Like I said, he's a 15-year-old boy. He's a sophomore at the school. His parents have hired an attorney, and he has not been permitted to talk to the police. He's also being held on a suicide watch where he's being checked on every 15 minutes at a juvenile detention facility. And the gun that he had, it was a semi-automatic handgun that was recovered by law enforcement. The suspect's father actually bought that gun on Friday. They said it was loaded at the time that it was confiscated. It still contained seven rounds. According to
Starting point is 00:07:33 reports, they said they believe around 15 to 20 shots were fired. They did recover multiple shell casings in the school. And here is more from Aiden Page on Anderson Cooper talking about texting his family. The very first thing in my head was this is actually happening. I'm going to text my family, say I love them just in case if I were to die. And then after everything kind of calmed down
Starting point is 00:08:01 for a second, I was able to like get my breath and kind of rationalize things. I wonder what happens in that situation. Do the parents get charged as well? Because, you know, as a gun owner, you're supposed to make sure that one of your priorities is keeping the guns away from kids and keeping the guns away from your kids being able to get it,
Starting point is 00:08:20 whether it's being put in a safe or a hiding place or whatever it may be. Your kids, especially, how old was that kid, 7-year-old? 15. 15-year-old shouldn't be able to find your weapon, right? Yeah, and is he going to be charged as an adult? I mean, he killed three people
Starting point is 00:08:35 so far. Alright, well that is your front page news. And our hearts go out to the families who have suffered from a loss and we're praying for the people who are injured as well i can't even imagine what that must be like absolutely i wonder if he was bullied and he brought the gun for protection to protect himself and a 15 year old not knowing how to shoot just trying to protect himself because he was scared i
Starting point is 00:08:58 wonder i wonder what happened in that case well we'll continue to keep you updated all right well get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you're upset, you need to vent, phone lines are wide open. Again, 800-585-1051. Get it off your chest. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 00:09:19 Wake up, wake up. Wake your ass up. It's your time to get it off your chest. Whether you're mad or blessed, we want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club. Hello, who's this? Yo, Big Chalk with the Toast Sucker. Happy holidays, family. How's everybody?
Starting point is 00:09:35 Envy was just saying he missed you. I definitely did not say that. I know he does. So listen, hey, God bless all the people out there that are going through tough times. And to Envy, you light-skinned loser, I want you to be nicer to me in the future or I'll tell Santa to put reindeer doo-doo under your Christmas tree. All right, pal? I thought, well, at least Envy believes in Santa.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Okay. All right. All right, bro. That's all you got. All right. All right. Hello. Who's this?
Starting point is 00:10:02 Yo, it's Lowell. Envy, what up? G, what up? What up, bro? Get off your chest. Yo, who's this? Yo, it's Lowell. Envy, what up? G, what up? What up, bro? Get off your chest. Yo, I'm tight, man. I applied for this position, man. I ain't get it.
Starting point is 00:10:12 What position? I'm an assistant manager at my job. So, boom. The same people now, they come down in the building with the position now, trying to talk to me. I'm bitter if I don't listen to them and be like, yo, man, I don't want to listen
Starting point is 00:10:27 to nothing y'all say. Y'all ain't become introduced to y'all and nothing. Like, am I bitter? A little bitter. A little bitter. Maybe somebody
Starting point is 00:10:33 was better than you. Well, you should ask them. You should be like, hey, I just was curious why I didn't get the position and what could I, and you should say, what could I be doing
Starting point is 00:10:42 in order to make sure that I can, you know, succeed more at work? All right. Yo, Yee, why you don't like none of my pictures? Am I that ugly, yo? What up? What's your page?
Starting point is 00:10:52 OK, Lord, you already know. Oh, OK, Lord. I didn't realize it was you. Let me go like some pictures now. Damn. All right. Respect. Respect.
Starting point is 00:10:58 You got a beggar to like some pics and you got a beggar boss for a job, bro? Envy. Envy. Envy. Chill out, man. I know your boyfriend ain't there yet. Chill out. Oh, that's a fact.
Starting point is 00:11:07 Okay. All right. Touche. This is Boo. He got a little attitude. Hello, who's this? DJ Envy. Yo.
Starting point is 00:11:16 This is not DJ Envy. Oh, who is this? Angel A8? Yeah. Nope. This is DJ Envy. Hey, what's up, DJ Envy? This is Bruce.
Starting point is 00:11:24 I just got off my test this morning. What's up, Bruce? Get it off your chest. Man, I just got out of work, man. I work 14 hours every day, man, for this pharmaceutical company. I've been there about 10 years. And they just came up with this forcing us to take that vaccine or lose our jobs type situation.
Starting point is 00:11:41 I know you guys have been vaccinated you know but I'm just a strong believer that you're right that you have the right to say no like I know people in my family or friends
Starting point is 00:11:50 that have taken the vaccine and gotten sick some people haven't some people have you know it affects everybody individually a different way so
Starting point is 00:11:59 same thing with COVID same thing with COVID when people get it it affects everybody differently too but you do have the right to say no bro you do have the right you just won't have that job it affects everybody differently, too. But you do have the right to say no, bro. You do have the right. Yeah, you just won't have that job anymore.
Starting point is 00:12:07 You just won't have that job. You do have the right to say no. Yeah, I know, but I've been there for too long. We don't get too much money now. It's crazy. So you're not going to get vaccinated and you're going to leave your job? I mean, that may be the situation, but I'm trying to figure out a way to get past that. Well, I will say this. I mean, you do have the right, but that's why to figure out a way to get past that. Well, I will say this.
Starting point is 00:12:25 I mean, you do have the right, but that's why it's, you know, you don't own that business. If you own your own business, then you can make your own rules and regulations. But, you know, you don't own that business. Well, sometimes in certain restaurants, restaurant owners have to be vaccinated in order to be. Well, that's true, too. Yeah. You just have to do what's best for you. Okay.
Starting point is 00:12:44 Just weigh out your options and make your decision. Man, I'm actually like a year away from being able to buy property and investments and stuff like that. And this is like killer in my vibe. Yeah. I know. It's a lot of difficult decisions that people have had to make. Well, good luck. And like I said, do what's best for you.
Starting point is 00:13:03 Well, I love y'all, man. I watch y'all every day. I watch y'all every day. I listen to y'all every day. I love it. Thank you, Bruce. Good luck. Hope everything works out. Get it off your chest.
Starting point is 00:13:12 800-585-1051. I'm going next week to get my booster shot. That's where I'm going. Okay. I was supposed to get it this week, but I'm going to get it next week. Yeah, I got to get mine, too. It's been exactly six months since I got my last shot. Yeah, I heard the booster shot is one of those ones that make you sick for a day.
Starting point is 00:13:27 Well, it made my mom sick. My dad wasn't sick. So we'll see what happens. Yeah, I think for everybody it's different. 800-585-1051. Get it off your chest. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.

The next car show is in Miami, so I'm sure he's not going to drive to Miami, but the next time, next year when it comes back around in New York, New Jersey area, I'll definitely

Starting point is 00:14:53 How you doing, DJ? I'm DJ Angel of Yeet. What up? What up? Get it off your chest. Hey, I just want to wish my mom a happy birthday, you know. Okay. It's her birthday.
Starting point is 00:15:01 She's a Sagittarius. She brought me up here from Jamaica in 99, and I've had the opportunity to prosper in these wonderful United States. You know, it's chaotic at times. I still love her. 57 hours of labor, about 10 pounds, 2 ounces. Woo! So I owe her everything. You're a big fat baby.
Starting point is 00:15:15 All right. I love little chubby babies. That's right. All right. Well, you know, today's my dad's birthday, too, so it's a great day. So let me say, at times, but always loving. Exactly. That's my mom's sweet tea. That's my dad. All right. Well, you know, today's my dad's birthday, too. So it's a great day. So let me say, at times, but always loving. Exactly. That's my mom's sort of tea. That's my dad. All right.
Starting point is 00:15:30 Have a good one, brother. Y'all have a blessed day. Love y'all. You too. Hello, who's this? Hey, DJ MZ, this is Larry. Hey, Larry. What's up, Larry? I just wanted to get off my chest. I wanted to send my condolences to the families of the school shooting and all the families of the people that are injured.
Starting point is 00:15:50 And also, I wanted to see if I can get tickets to your car show. Where are you from? I'm in Miami. Are you in Miami? Okay, well, the car show is next Sunday. You're coming out, Miami Convention Center. Kids of five and under are free. And we're going to have celebrity cars from Nicky Jam,

Starting point is 00:16:21 on sale right now. It will sell out because the venue is a lot smaller than a lot of the other ones we do. So get your tickets for the Miami Convention Center. There's a lot more, man. So I can't wait to see you guys next Sunday to drive your dreams car show. Hello, who's this? Yo, what's up? What's up, Envy, Angelique?
Starting point is 00:16:36 Hey. Hey, what's up, bro? Get it off your chest. Yo, so I came home on Monday night. No, no, actually Tuesday, man. I have a Honda Corolla Tour and they stole all four wheels of my car. No. Where you from?
Starting point is 00:16:48 I'm a queen. Damn it, man. Man, now what? Well, I mean, insurance won't cover it, but I got to pay like $1,000 deductible, so. Damn it, that sucks. Yeah, I actually made a video on TikTok and Instagram. It went viral on TikTok, like 1.2 million views on that. You're like, we're going to capitalize off this somehow.
Starting point is 00:17:06 So your car was on bricks? Not even on bricks, bro. They violated it. They left the joints flat on the floor. They left your roaders and everything on the floor? On the floor, Evie. Damn. They ain't had no video footage anywhere?
Starting point is 00:17:18 Queens, they ain't got nothing. Nah. Nah, not right now. Damn. So what you going to do now? Because when you get new wheels, you got to park again outside. They're going to steal it again. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:17:28 I'm going to move out of here. I'm going to go. I'm violated. Damn it, man. All right, bro. I know how it feels when they steal your car, your wheel. They used to steal my fog lights all the time. You come outside, your car's just sitting on the rotors.
Starting point is 00:17:40 Are they stealing your hubcaps? You ain't got an alarm, though? You're like, usually when they mess with the thing, your alarm goes off. Yo, I don't even know, man. I mean, I heard that that alarm go off like one time, honestly. So I'm keeping it real. So I don't even know if that alarm even works, man. But I'm about to get like a, I just go to the dash cam and all that,
Starting point is 00:17:57 so I can like live stream it from my house. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know. Oh, you know what you do? Go to Craigslist and see if somebody's selling some touring tires. No, I definitely did that, but I didn't really catch nobody slipping, so. They might put it on there today. Go to Facebook.
Starting point is 00:18:12 What's that? Facebook market. Go to YouTube. Go to all them cars, them tires. And then what's he going to do when he goes to find them? He's going to buy back. Buy his tires back. For a cheaper price.
Starting point is 00:18:22 Oh, my God. That's a fact. That's a fact. Now, I'm going to end up going to, you know what I mean? Yeah. Let a cheaper price. Oh my God. That's a fact. That's a fact. Now I'm gonna end up in the skin, you know what I mean? Let's go steal somebody else's tires. Now don't do that, man. Nah, nah, nah. I ain't doing that. Have a good one, brother. Hey, child, man.
Starting point is 00:18:35 I listen to y'all every day, man. You know what I mean? Y'all definitely make my morning easier. Alright, good. I'm glad you're still in good spirit. Sometimes things like that can ruin your day, but he sounds like he's chilling. How you getting to work today with no tires, bro? Uber. Well, good. I'm glad you're still in good spirit. Sometimes things like that can ruin your day, but he sounds like he's chilling. How you getting to work today with no tires, bro? Uber. Well, I actually have another car, so I'm still moving around.
Starting point is 00:18:52 Alright, okay, okay, okay. It ain't nothing to a player. It ain't nothing to a player player. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. Now, we got rumors on the way? Yes, and let's talk about Travis Scott. He has offered to cover several of the funerals for the people
Starting point is 00:19:07 that passed away after Astroworld Fest, but we'll tell you how the families are responding. Alright, we'll get into that next. Keep it locked. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. This is The Rumor Report with Angela Yee.
Starting point is 00:19:25 Rumor has it. On Breakfast Club. So listen up. Well, yesterday in Memphis, there was a private funeral for young Doff as they laid him to rest. We saw people posting pictures of the funeral program. And there was a lot of detailed shots of him being memorialized with different pictures in that program. So again, rest in peace to young
Starting point is 00:19:50 Dolph who was fatally shot at Makita's Cookies in Memphis on Wednesday November 17th. That's so sad. Did we get any more information about the shooters or no? No. No more information as of now. Alright, and Travis Scott has offered to pay for the cost for burying some of the deceased from the Astroworld Festival.
Starting point is 00:20:08 But more families of those who died are saying no thank you, turning down that money. They said attorneys who are repping the families of 14-year-old John Hilgert and 27-year-old Danish Beg, both of whom died during the event, have opted out of accepting that money. One person, one family suggested that it is a slap in the face for them to offer that. They said, we received a written offer from Travis Scott's attorney indicating that he would pay $7,500 in funeral burial costs, and my clients are rejecting that. They said that the family wants Travis nowhere near their son's burial.
Starting point is 00:20:43 They said, you can infer that when a parent has to bury their child, that they're not really interested in people who may have contributed to that being involved. Yeah, I mean, I'm not in that situation, but, you know, I guess Travis is trying to do what's right. You know, I mean, he was performing. It was his concert. So he's trying to make sure that at least he can offer help if the family need it. I don't think a $7,500 cap is smart, though. I mean, because funerals cost... I mean, I just remember buying a coffin, and a coffin was like $5,000, $6,000.
Starting point is 00:21:16 So I don't even know why a cap is on it, because funerals can cost $10,000 to $15,000. Well, and I would also assume if the families are holding him somewhat responsible and accountable, then of course they're not going to accept money for the funeral, right? Yeah, but the money wouldn't say that he's not guilty or innocent.
Starting point is 00:21:32 It's just saying that he wants to help because, you know, I'm not saying that, but I'm saying as the family members, they probably don't want that money. True, true.
Starting point is 00:21:40 All right. Now, Megan Thee Stallion has canceled her concert in Houston out of respect to the Astroworld victims. So she was supposed to be doing a set December 3rd at Houston's new 713 Music Hall, but she decided to cancel that show. She said, Houston is still healing, and it's important that our community be given the appropriate time to grieve.
Starting point is 00:21:59 My heart goes out to all the families that are suffering during this difficult time. That's dope. That's honorable. She also has announced that she's teaming up with Cash App for the launch of their limited edition Hot Girl Enterprise Cash by Cash App Apparel Collection, and that's all available right now. I got mad people in my DMs saying they want to cash
Starting point is 00:22:17 at me money. Well, why don't they? You don't have that? Mad people is like a scam. What, they want pictures of your feet? I don't know. They were like, yo, we want to cash up you 500. Send cash up now. And I want to do it just to see if I'm going to get the money, but I know it's a scam. But I kind of want to do it. Somebody DM me if you did it and let me know if you really got that money.
Starting point is 00:22:33 You know what? Throw your cash up on Twitter. Let's see if we can get people to just give you some money. Me? Yeah. No. I know a lot of people who do that. They just be putting their cash app tag like you're supposed to just give them money.
Starting point is 00:22:44 All right. of people who do that they just be putting their cash app tag like you're supposed to just give them money all right now pharrell uh recently was on the fader uncovered podcast uh hosted by mark ronson and he talked about working with jay-z and his whole process here's what he had to say or when he writes and he's just sitting there mumbling to himself in falsetto by the way yo when he writes a rhyme he doesn't go cheer when the remy's in the, he doesn't go, cheer, when the Remy's in the system. He doesn't do that. He goes, yo, when the Remy's in the system, ain't no telling what I'm f***ing with on this one. That's what they be yelling, I'm up in my blood.
Starting point is 00:23:15 And he, like, taps you on the shoulder and takes it back again. That's how he writes in falsetto. That's crazy. That's odd and different and weird and amazing and makes him a character. Yeah, I still think Jay is, to me, the best ever. What if Pharrell made that up? No, I don't think he would, but he's one of the best ever.
Starting point is 00:23:34 Well, the Remy's in the system. All right, well, that is your rumor report. All right, now we got front page news. Next, what are we talking about? Yes, and let's talk about Chris Cuomo, Andrew Cuomo's brother. He has been suspended indefinitely on CNN. All right, now we got front page news next. What are we talking about? Yes, and let's talk about Chris Cuomo, Andrew Cuomo's brother. He has been suspended indefinitely on CNN. All right, we'll talk about that when we come back. Don't move.

It's surprisingly easy. There are 55 gallons of water for 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of Ladonia.
Starting point is 00:24:34 I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. Why can't I create my own country? My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead.
Starting point is 00:24:53 Oh my God. What is that? Bullets. Bullets. We need help! We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to Escape from Zakistan.

Starting point is 00:26:06 Listen to Post Run High on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself, and leaning into her dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves. For self-preservation and protection, it was literally that step by step. And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment of small, determined moments.
Starting point is 00:26:51 Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace. Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best. And you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before.
Starting point is 00:27:06 Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. Let's get in some front page news. Go ahead, start with your Brooklyn Nets, G. Oh, our Brooklyn Nets beat your New York Knicks.
Starting point is 00:27:29 What was it? 112 to 110? Yeah, 112 to 110. Now, LeBron James also, he has COVID. He tested three times. Two out of three had positive. I was going to say positive cases, but it came back that he has COVID. He has to sit out for 10 games, which is three games.
Starting point is 00:27:44 So 10 days he has to sit out in three games. We still don't have the Omicron variant here in the U.S., right? We haven't had any cases reported yet. No, not reported as of yet, no. But they're saying it is spreading around the world. So it's a matter of time. Only a matter of time, yeah. And what else we got, Yeezy?
Starting point is 00:27:58 All right. Well, Atlanta has a new mayor. City Councilman Andre Dickens will become Atlanta's next mayor, according to CNN projections, defeating Felicia Moore in a runoff election to determine who will hold the top post in Atlanta. So they had advanced to the runoff after no candidate received a majority of the vote
Starting point is 00:28:15 earlier this month, and Keisha Lance Bottoms, as you know, had announced in May that she would not seek re-election. There was a rumor going around that she was going to close all the strip clubs. Whoever started that rumor was amazing because I think Felicia was actually winning. And then when I seen that post that if she's in office, she's going to close the strip clubs, man, did Atlanta come out. Shout to Atlanta.
Starting point is 00:28:35 Drop a bomb for Atlanta, man. T.I. had actually posted it. If you're a club owner, a bartender, a dancer, promoter, valet driver, or just a visitor who subscribes to the culture of this city, understand that our livelihoods and way of life is being threatened. Yeah, don't play with Atlanta in that nightlife, boy. They said, ah, we're going to get you out. Bye, Felicia, for real. That was really a smear campaign.
Starting point is 00:28:54 I don't know who put that up, but I started seeing that go everywhere, that she was going to close the strip clubs in Atlanta. I was like, what a weird platform to run on in Atlanta. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. But they got her ass out of there, boy. Whoever started that campaign, if that's true or not, I don't know. They went to the polls. But it worked.
Starting point is 00:29:11 Not those polls. They went to the polls and not those polls. Yeeks. All right, CNN is suspending Chris Cuomo indefinitely pending further evaluation. New documents revealed that he was, it was a cozy and improper nature of his relationship with AIDS to his brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. So they announced that the suspension was happening. We don't know when this is going to be lifted, if he's going to continue to work there. But a lot of people were critical of him violating widely accepted journalistic norms.
Starting point is 00:29:46 And actually, I guess they found some documents showing that he was instrumental in working to craft a defense against all these sexual misconduct allegations against his brother, Andrew Cuomo. I disagree with that. My brother is getting charged with sexual assault. I am his brother. And all I'm doing is asking around, like, hey, can you give me some information on these people that's accusing my brother? He didn't threaten them. He didn't
Starting point is 00:30:11 call them and say, you better do this. He just said, give me some information on them. Wouldn't you do it for your brother? Wouldn't you do it for your sister? Your family member? What's the problem with it? He didn't go on air and report anything. He just said, I just need to find out some information to make sure these claims are true. Well, he's a real journalist.
Starting point is 00:30:27 So I guess the issue is that it's a conflict. That's his real brother. So what? I know. But I'm saying at that point in time, then, you know, they're saying he used his connections to the press to help him prepare and his team prepare as accusers started to make their stories public. So he was, I guess, what they're accusing him of is feeding information to his brother, which I guess for journalistic integrity at CNN, you can't do that whether it's your brother or not. But journalistic integrity, he didn't report about it on air. He just was trying to help his brother and see what was going on.
Starting point is 00:30:57 He didn't sway anybody. He didn't lie. He didn't make up any stories. He was just trying to get a little tea. What's wrong with that? I don't see anything wrong with that. That's his brother. I don't know what the rules and regulations are at CNN when it comes
Starting point is 00:31:10 to journalists working with some of the people that they're talking about. But they said there's new light that has been shed and they were not privy to these documents before their public release. And so there are some serious questions being raised. They said he was more intimately involved than previously known in shaping his brother's defense.
Starting point is 00:31:27 But he didn't report on any of that on air, so it didn't have to do with his job. He just was looking out for his brother. Wouldn't you look out for your brother? Definitely would. I don't know that I would have documents and text messages available for people to see. I mean, the email and text messages was just dumb.
Starting point is 00:31:42 You should have did that in person. But still, I can't see a man or a woman that wouldn't do that for a family member unless you just don't like your brother like your sister. Now, he also talked about his interactions with the press. He said, I would, when asked, I would reach out to sources, other journalists, to see if they had heard of anybody else coming out. He also said under oath what he told CNN viewers earlier this year, that he never influenced or attempted to control CNN's coverage of his family. He said, if I had tried to influence any of the reporting at CNN or anywhere else, I guarantee you people would know. And so would a lot of others. All right.
Starting point is 00:32:15 Well, that is your front page news. After that, I wouldn't even it wouldn't even have to be my brother. I'll do it for a friend. I would ask. I would do some snooping around for a friend. Wouldn't you? Well, I don't work at CNN, so I can do that. Oh.
Starting point is 00:32:28 I don't know. Like I said, I don't know what's in their contract. I'm not a journalist, so I don't have that code of ethics that I have to abide by. But let's open up the phone lines. 800-585-1051. Let's say you work for CNN.
Starting point is 00:32:43 Let's say your brother was brought up on some charges. Would you not snoop around even though you could possibly lose your job for your brother? Even though it's not, as you would say, ethically right? Am I not supposed to look out? Let me do it in my Jay-Z voice. Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am. We need that drop.
Starting point is 00:33:02 Get that drop if you can find that drop. 805-85-1051. Am I not supposed to look out for my brother? Am I not supposed to look out for my family member? You're only child, sir. You're right. But I would look out for a friend. I would do it for a friend.
Starting point is 00:33:13 Call us up right now. Let's have that discussion. 800-585-1051. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Hey, guys. I'm Kate Max.
Starting point is 00:33:24 You might know me from my popular online series, The Running Interview Show, where I run with celebrities, athletes, entrepreneurs, and more. Listen to Post Run High on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Is your country falling apart? Feeling tired, depressed, a little bit revolutionary? Consider this.
Starting point is 00:34:29 Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There are 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
Starting point is 00:34:42 I am the Queen of Laudonia. I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. Why can't I trade my own country? My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead. Oh, my God. What is that? Bullets. Bullets. We need help!
Starting point is 00:35:06 We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. And we're losing daylight fast. As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt,
Starting point is 00:35:36 learning to trust herself, and leaning into her dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves. For self-preservation and protection, it was literally that step by step. And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment of small, determined moments. Starting point is 00:36:07 Like grace. Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best. And you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing. Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before. Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. It's topic time.
Starting point is 00:36:30 Call 800-585-1051 to join in to the discussion with The Breakfast Club. Let's talk about it. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. Now, if you just joined us, we're talking about the Cuomo brothers. Now, what happened with the Cuomo brothers? Well, CNN has suspended Chris Cuomo indefinitely. Blasphemy!
Starting point is 00:36:50 His brother was the former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, and he had some sexual misconduct allegations against him, and according to CNN, Chris Cuomo was getting information and was more intimately involved than previously known in shaping his brother's defense.
Starting point is 00:37:08 All right. So we're asking 805-85-1051. What would you do? Me personally, if I had a brother or sister, I would do the same. I'm holding my brother and sister down. Like he didn't report. He didn't call him and threaten him. He didn't try to sway them.
Starting point is 00:37:20 He was just trying to find out a little information, a little information pool to find out, you know, to help his brother. Yeah, to help his brother's defense. I don't see anything wrong with that. There's nothing illegal with that. Well, I also don't know what's in their contracts as a journalist at CNN. It's definitely a conflict to be helping somebody that the station
Starting point is 00:37:39 is reporting on and having access to that type of information to find out what else is... It's your station that you work at. So you having access to that type of information to find out what else is... I'm not reporting on it. It's your station that you work at. So you have access to information. And I don't know if in their code of ethics, if they're allowed to work with people who the station's reporting on. I don't know what's in their contract.
Starting point is 00:37:57 So I couldn't tell you. But we do know that they are suspending him for this. Damn it, man. All right. But I will say, I can't imagine not helping my brother, but I feel like you got to be really slick about it. Absolutely. Well, let's go to the phone lines.
Starting point is 00:38:10 Hello, who's this? Hi, it's Cassandra. Good morning, you guys. So what would you do, Cassandra? First of all, it's just my brother and I. I would do anything, anything for him. And I have friends that I consider family. I would do anything for them too.
Starting point is 00:38:25 So I don't see the point of him. The only thing he did wrong, he should have never let paper trail. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. You got to be slick when you know you're not supposed to do something because it was already a big issue over there when it was happening.
Starting point is 00:38:38 You know, he had to not be responsible for reporting. So you know they're going to be checking up. Especially with the problem that both brothers have with Trump and them. So that's the only mistake he did. But other than that, womb to the tomb. You're right. Womb to the tomb. Thank you, Mama.
Starting point is 00:38:55 Chris Cuomo said his family first and job second. I don't think he said that. Yes, he did. He did that? He did say that? He went on his show. He said his family first and job second. And he apologized for how he helped his brother.
Starting point is 00:39:05 Yeah. He said it'll not happen again. It was a mistake. Well, it would happen again if that was his brother and his family first. Hello, who's this? Dirty Jersey. Dirty Jersey. Oh, we already know what you're doing.
Starting point is 00:39:15 What you doing, Dirty Jersey? I would do it. You know, I'm a fire person. Angela, I want to thank you for that because, you know, I'm a Capricorn as well. That's right, girl. You know how we get down. You know, I'm a Capricorn as well. That's right, girl. You know how we get down. You know, I'm going to help my family, but it's a way to help your family. And the way he did it was just like you leaving evidence.
Starting point is 00:39:33 Right. You know, they're going to get your phone. You know, they're going to get your emails. You need to have conversations in person. That's wrong with this generation. But yeah, I'm helping my family. Like, you know, I can go to my page, the bond consultant, my nephew. You know, they locked him up and brought him on false charges
Starting point is 00:39:47 because I filed a lawsuit against the court. Ooh, okay. That's a nice family first. I remember, I remember. But I'm with you. No, that's my family. I'm riding for my family. But she's right, man.
Starting point is 00:39:59 You got to meet in person at times like that. I'm sure he didn't think it was going to blow up like that. He should have known that. He had to go on the news. It came up multiple times. Damn. Hello, who's this? This is Camille
Starting point is 00:40:10 calling from Springfield, Mass. I love you guys. I listen to y'all every morning. But I want to say I agree with you, DJ Envy. He shouldn't have been suspended. That's his brother. Plus, he's a lawyer.
Starting point is 00:40:22 It's all politics. That's bull. So you don't think there should have been no repercussions for him helping his brother? How did he help him lawyer. It's all politics. That's bull. So you don't think there should have been no repercussions for him helping his brother? How did he help him? He was just reaching out. He didn't do anything wrong. Exactly. He didn't do anything wrong.
Starting point is 00:40:34 He was just trying to find out some tea. I mean, he did admit and he did apologize and he did say it will not happen again. It was a mistake. He was just listening to the Breakfast Club. He was just trying to get a little tea, just trying to find out what's going on. That's all.
Starting point is 00:40:47 I listen to him every evening, and I've never heard him report about anything in reference to his brother issues. Nothing at all. Exactly. So they were wrong. You guys have a blessed day. You too, Camille.
Starting point is 00:40:58 All right, thank you. All right, 805-85-1051. Now, Chris Cuomo, he was suspended, right, E? Yes, he's been suspended indefinitely from CNN. And that is for getting information for his brother who was fighting sexual misconduct allegations. All right. Well, 805-855-1051. What would you do in that situation?
Starting point is 00:41:17 Call us up right now. It's The Breakfast Club Deloitte. I know it now. I know it now. I know it now. I know it now. I know it now. That Kuno, did you hear what that? Call me. Add your opinion to the Breakfast Club Topic. Come on. 800-585-1051. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
Starting point is 00:41:40 We are the Breakfast Club. Now, if you just join us, we're talking about Chris Cuomo and his brother. Now, what happened with the two Cuomo brothers? I call them the Cuomo brothers. Well, Chris Cuomo, who's on CNN, he's been suspended from his job because of documents that show that he was more deeply involved than previously known in helping his brother respond to allegations of sexual harassment. His brother is the former governor, Andrew Cuomo.
Starting point is 00:42:03 So they said the documents point to a greater level of involvement efforts than we previously knew. So as a result, they have suspended him indefinitely pending further evaluation. So they actually have some of the messages. You know, he texted his brother's top aid. Please let me help with prep. And then what's wrong with that?
Starting point is 00:42:22 I want to help. I'm an attorney. She asked him to hold. She asked him to leverage his journalistic connections to uncover details about one of the women who were accusing Andrew Cuomo and he said on it. And then he said he had a lead on the wedding girl. So he was
Starting point is 00:42:35 getting information about these women that were accusing him of misconduct. That was his dumb. And then he told viewers when a third accuser came forward that he couldn't cover it because it's his brother, but you know, he was trying to get information
Starting point is 00:42:52 on these women that were accusers. Now the top aide should be fired. I ask you, let me make sure you're good. And you'd be like, find some more information on this person in an email? And you the top aide? And he said, on it. He responded on it. Oh my gosh. They don't watch. What's that show on Showtime that responded on text. Oh my gosh. They don't watch. What's that show on Showtime
Starting point is 00:43:06 that comes on where she fix Olivia Pope? They don't watch Olivia Pope? Scandal? Yes, scandal. They don't watch scandal? So you still feel like those text messages
Starting point is 00:43:13 and all of that is okay? Nah, I don't. I mean, I still would have helped my brother though, but goodness gracious. You might as well said they did it.
Starting point is 00:43:20 All right, let's go to Shannon on Line 5. Shannon, good morning. Good morning. Now you say you see both sides. Talk to me. I right. Let's go to Shannon on Line 5. Shannon, good morning. Good morning. Now, you say you see both sides. Talk to me. I do. I see both sides because I understand the brother's point of view and trying to help him and all.
Starting point is 00:43:33 But at the same time, what they're saying is he used his job as an upper hand to be able to give the rebuttal to what the women had to say. So he always had that upper hand by him getting the information from the people. So you wouldn't use your job as an upper hand to save your brother? I mean, it's my job. You know, my job's my job. That's where I have to take care of my family. And my brother's not going to take care of my family. I mean, I love my brother and getting some of the information,
Starting point is 00:44:03 but he knows the way he's putting his job on the line. My brother ain't going to take care of my family. Your brother shouldn't want you to put your job on the line either. Exactly. He shouldn't have did the things he did to make me have to put my job on the line either. Well, that was the thing. He didn't
Starting point is 00:44:20 know what he did. He was trying to poke around to see what was going on. You don't like your brother, Shanna. Just say you don't like your brother. You're right. I loved him at the end of the day. And you know, I still would do whatever I need to do. Thank you, mama.
Starting point is 00:44:35 Shannon does not like her brother. Whole world out here. Hello, who's this? This is Eve from Connecticut. Eve from Connecticut. What would you do, brother? Well, I would still, if that's my brother, I'm still going to help my brother. However, if like, if I was a lawyer, I can't question him because I'm a lawyer. So, or if I'm a police officer, I can't question somebody because if not for me, it's coming from the title.
Starting point is 00:44:56 So if I was him, I would still find a way to help him. I just would have probably put a space in between us. Okay. And not do email. Like the email thing was just foul and stupid. Yeah. It shouldn't be coming us. Okay. And not do email. Like, the email thing was just foul and stupid. Yeah, it shouldn't be coming directly. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:45:08 If something happens to you, you can't question. If Angelique calls me and asks me a question, it's a different one that's coming from Angelique as opposed to if it's coming from Angelique's
Starting point is 00:45:15 assistant or something like that. You're right. You're right. Because I can say I know nothing about it. You're my assistant? I'm not your assistant. Hello, who's this?
Starting point is 00:45:23 This is Carrie. How are you guys doing today? Good morning. How are you doing? I'm good. I'm not your assistant. Hello, who's this? This is Cherry. How are you guys doing today? Good morning. How are you doing? I'm good. I'm good. I just wanted to say the thing on the Cuomo brothers. First of all, if you work for a large organization, you should know better.
Starting point is 00:45:37 The larger the organization, the bigger the consequences. CNN is a worldwide organization. So what your dumb ass should have done was find a journalist that was up and coming to do your dirty work. I mean, you have money. Let somebody else get the global prize winner for snitching. I mean, yes, you're your brother's keeper, but you had enough money to get a shit. Oh, sorry. Pardon my words. An idiot to do your work. Now, how hard would it have been? It wouldn't have been that hard. Go to the shade room.
Starting point is 00:46:06 Go to Instagram. Go to TikTok. You would have found someone to do your dirty work for you and probably would have got more information because they're unknown. How dumb are you? You understand? That's something that we say in Haiti.
Starting point is 00:46:19 You're an egare. Egare. Egare. Egare. Egare. Egare. You're stupid. Oh my gosh. She let them have it. Oh wow. Now, go to Mexico, go live your life, because now you done messed up. So now everything is going to go his brother's way. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:46:51 I have a younger brother, and I look out for my brother, and I love my brother. Happy belated, Bobby. You're the best. But I'm telling you right now, let the little people do your dirty work. Those are the up-and-coming people. You would have gave somebody a lifetime job. That person would have got all the tea, and they would have been up and coming, and you would have been standing at your station sipping tea like, I don't know nothing.
Starting point is 00:47:09 Oh, my God. I can't believe this happened. When your dumb ass was the one that was funding the whole process. He's an idiot. He deserved what he got. She got it all planned out. I can tell she's been thinking about this. Let's go to one more caller.
Starting point is 00:47:23 Hello, who's this? This is Darren, man. Darren, whatren what's up bro how y'all doing yeah man i think you know blood or not man that me too moment as strong as it was i would have to back up off that one i'm not getting my hands dirty i'm not getting my hands dirty yeah because you know you can love family from afar you can love family from afar you don't have to be involved in that. You know, I think, you know, this wasn't Maine. This is New York.
Starting point is 00:47:51 You want to talk to somebody, that sounds like a hit job to me. Damn, Darren. You got brothers and sisters, Darren? I got one brother and one sister. You don't mess with them like that, do you? I do. When was the last time you spoke to them? Yeah, last night.
Starting point is 00:48:03 So if that was your brother, you're going to tell your brother, look, bro, you on your own. He not messing with that Me Too movement. It's the Me Too movement, man. That was too strong. That's powerful. I'm on TV. I've got a career.
Starting point is 00:48:11 I've got a family. I mean, DJ Envy, you know that, man. I mean, you talk, you talk, you don't have a brother, but if you was in that situation, you would see a ton of difference.
Starting point is 00:48:21 Man, I didn't do this stuff for friends. He's like, we can't both not have a job. Damn it, man. Thank you, brother. All right, what's the moral of the story? The moral of the story is stop messing up
Starting point is 00:48:30 so you don't got to put your family members in an effed up situation. No, the moral of the story is, am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am. Only children can't speak. You stupid. We got rumors on the way?
Starting point is 00:48:43 Yes, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. There is now a petition that people are citing and we'll tell you what people are citing this petition about when it comes to the two of them and Will Smith's memoir. Alright. We'll get into that next. Keep it locked. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Happy birthday to my pops.
Starting point is 00:49:00 Today's my pops birthday. December 1st. Daddy, happy birthday, puppy. What you gonna do for him? Nothing. Wow. Nothing. Nothing today. What you going to do for him? Nothing. Wow. Nothing. Nothing today. It's a cold world. No, nothing today.
Starting point is 00:49:09 The baby just came. They were just at my house the last five, six days, helped me with the baby and everything. You didn't get him a present? Yeah, we got him a present, but we're going to celebrate on the weekend. Oh. The baby's here. Okay. We can't leave.
Starting point is 00:49:20 The house can't do anything. But happy birthday, puppy. We definitely going to do something over the weekend. Alright, now, we are the Breakfast Club. Good morning, it's DJ Envy, Anjali Yee, Charlamagne Degas. Charlamagne is still on vacation, but Donkey of the Day is coming up in a little bit, so if you want to give somebody Donkey of the Day,
Starting point is 00:49:36 800-585-1051 since Charlamagne is not here, we allow you guys to do it. It could be your mother, your father, your sister, your brother. Wow, you just gave your father a happy birthday shout out. Now you want people to give their dads
Starting point is 00:49:47 donkey of the day? I didn't say my daddy. My daddy good money. Maybe somebody else's dad is not good money. My daddy, my daddy. My papi good money. My papi good money.
Starting point is 00:49:55 But anybody you want to give donkey of the day could be a political person. It could be a celebrity. It could be just somebody you know. It doesn't matter. 800-585-1051. Maybe it's a
Starting point is 00:50:06 co-worker. Is there anybody I want to give donkey to? We'll do that when we come back. And also, we got rumors on the way? Yes, and we'll talk about Dr. Oz running for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania. Alright, we'll get into that next. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. It's about time. What's going on?
Starting point is 00:50:23 Rumor Report. Rumor Report. This is the Rumor Report. Talk to them. With Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club. Well, Dr. Oz is running for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania. Now, here is his announcement. My parents came to America to find a better life, and they did. I attended great universities, raised a family, and became a successful surgeon.
Starting point is 00:50:45 Then I started a TV show to advocate for you taking control of your health. But COVID has shown us that our system is broken. They took away our freedom without making us safer and tried to kill our spirit and our dignity. Pena needs a conservative who will put America first. That's why I'm running for Senate. Okay. Now he's a celebrity heart surgeon and he's been controversial though. Some people say that he has questionable health advice.
Starting point is 00:51:13 So he's not a celebrity. He's a heart surgeon. He is definitely a celebrity. That's a celebrity. Right. He's a celebrity heart surgeon. You make it seem like he just does heart surgery for celebrities. He does it for everybody.
Starting point is 00:51:22 No, I'm not saying he does it for celebrities. He's a celebrity who's a heart surgeon. I didn't know he was a Republican, though. Yes, he is a Republican, and he was on with Hannity, and here's what he had to say about COVID. Remember the phrase, two weeks to flatten the curve? That metastasized into this
Starting point is 00:51:38 incredible authoritarianism, overreaching, that did not necessarily make us safer. People with yards, big yards, told people with no yards to stay indoors. That's where the virus was. Remember, they closed the parks. They shamed people about beaches. And now they're threatening the same overreach for the Omicron as you were just talking about. I think those choices should be yours, the American people's. Okay. In addition to that, he talked about the border and what he feels about having people who are trying to cross the border staying in Mexico instead of being able to come across.
Starting point is 00:52:11 We got safety problems on the borders, too, which is basically the narrative is false. It's about cartels trafficking human beings and they're bringing opiates along the border with them. That's 100000 people who died this year from opiates. And we're not making it hard because we're letting everything come across the border. I think President Trump was right. People should wait on the Mexican side of the border if they're coming across illegally. Let's deal with all the issues there and not put law enforcement in an impossible predicament where they're forced to chase them down when we know they're not coming back for their follow-up visits. There's a lot of people who are trying to cross the border because they're actually fleeing from cartels and scared for their lives too and seeking asylum.
Starting point is 00:52:49 So they should be able to come here and do those things too. Correct. And I didn't know Dr. Oz was from Pennsylvania. I thought he lived in New York, Westchester. Didn't he meet his wife in Pennsylvania? I don't know. Dr. Oz, he got bread. I'm sure he got a bunch of cribs. But I will say this. I like Dr. Oz as a person. He's a great human being. Somebody that I can call and if I need advice or I need a favor, he got bread. I'm sure he got a bunch of cribs. But I will say this. I like Dr. Oz as a person. He's a great human being.
Starting point is 00:53:06 Somebody that I can call in if I need advice or I need a favor. He is there for me. And same for him. He is a good person. Some of the beliefs that I heard that he just said, I don't necessarily agree with. But Dr. Oz is a great human being. Like a great human being. Somebody that I can call.
Starting point is 00:53:21 He'll pick up the phone if I need advice on the kids. Whether it's health. Whether it's something going on in my life. He is always there. So kudos to Dr. Oz. So you're supporting his run for Senate. Well, Dr. Oz, he lives in Pennsylvania. I live in Jersey.
Starting point is 00:53:32 I can't vote for him or not. But you can still support. Yeah, I support Dr. Oz. Right. So he changed his voter registration to his in-laws Pennsylvania address last year. So now he said he's a resident there, even though he's lived in New Jersey for decades. Yeah, I support Dr. Oz. There's some questions that I have on some in New Jersey for decades. Yeah, I support Dr. Oz. There's some questions
Starting point is 00:53:45 that I have on some of the statements that he made but I support Dr. Oz. Dr. Oz always supported me. He's a good person, a good human being and he looks out for people so I like Dr. Oz.
Starting point is 00:53:56 All right. I don't know who's running against him so I can't say. Okay. Will Smith and Jada Pickett-Smith, there's a petition now going around
Starting point is 00:54:04 and they are asking for Will and Jada to stop being interviewed. I guess people are tired of hearing about their sex life. One person said, well, on the petition it says, enough is enough. We are tired. And somebody said, I know too much about their sex life. Every day is something new. Just ask them different questions, please. And somebody else said, I don't care to learn anything else about them, their marriage or
Starting point is 00:54:26 a sex life. No, I think it's great. I think we need more of that. People talking about their relationship and their marriage and how it works. Because when you look at somebody else and you'd be like, oh, that's different. That's not what we do. But everybody's marriage is different. Whatever works for them works for them.
Starting point is 00:54:39 And I love to hear stories of that. I love to hear how they made it work, how it's different from the quote-unquote norm. So I love hearing stories about different marriages, different couples. Plus, you have a book coming out. Yeah, I do have a book coming out, too. Me and my wife have been together 27 years. We've been married 20, and we talk about everything. The ups, the downs, how we kept it together. We don't go in depth like they
Starting point is 00:54:57 do with the sex, about all that, but we do talk about how we keep it together, and how it works, how we met, and all that. I mean, we do go into some of that. I don't want to hear about how it works, how we met and all that. I mean, we do go into some of our... I don't want to hear about how you threw up after sex and all that stuff. Well, I'll tell you behind the scenes anyway, so what's the difference? All right.
Starting point is 00:55:13 Now, the two men who have been charged with distributing the drugs that caused Mac Miller's fatal overdose have pleaded guilty in separate hearings in Los Angeles. Stephen Andrew Walter, who's 48, and Ryan Michael Rivas, who's 38, pleaded guilty in video conferences yesterday to one felony count of distributing fentanyl. So one of them told the judge he never met Mac Miller, didn't know what happened to the drugs that he gave Ryan Michael Revis to sell. He said, I was charged with selling blue pills, little blue counterfeit oxycontin pills. I didn't know what was in them.
Starting point is 00:55:41 I didn't know like fentanyl was in it. But I do say, yes, that I aided and abetted the transaction. So they have both now pleaded guilty. Sentencing for Walter is scheduled for March 7th of 2022. Revis will be back in court on April 4th, 2022. They both face a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison, a lifetime of supervised release and a $1 million fine and other court fees as well. So let me just be clear. They knew that the drugs were laced with fentanyl. No, they didn't know. He said he
Starting point is 00:56:08 didn't know what was in the pills. He said he didn't know what was in them. But Da is responsible. Alright, Wendy Williams' brother said that she is exploring some different ideas for post-TV projects. So according to Tommy Williams, he said, we've talked about different things.
Starting point is 00:56:23 She's definitely kicked around some different ideas, all of which I know she'll be successful with. But time will tell. I do believe that anything post her career in television, if that were to be the case, would be involving youth and people who dream of doing something in the media. She can show them some of the other ropes, not the regular ropes, but some of the other ropes, because Wendy knows a lot about those other ropes. Yeah, I mean, at first I wanted to see Wendy get healthy and then decide. I mean, Wendy's made a lot of money. I'm sure she has a lot of money. But I think what Wendy would do great is, like what he says, doing some type of show where she teaches people how to be TV and how to do radio.
Starting point is 00:56:59 She's been successful in both of those because that's something I would watch, and I definitely would want to learn. She's been doing it for a long time. She's been successful at doing it. And she went against the grain several times against several different organizations and people and still been on top. So I would love to see something like that. Could you imagine like America's Next Top Model type of show where she teaches people how to do radio or teaches people how to do TV? That would be dope.
Starting point is 00:57:20 All right. Well, we'll see what's coming down the pipeline because she is not going back to her show. All right. That is your rumor report. I'm Angela Yee. All right. Thank you, Miss Yee. dope. Alright, well, we'll see what's coming down the pipeline because she is not going back to her show. Alright, that is your rumor report. I'm Angela Yee. Alright, thank you, Miss Yee. Now, Charlamagne is out. He'll be back tomorrow. So if you want to give Donkey of the Day to somebody,
Starting point is 00:57:35 800-585-1051, whoever that may be. Again, 800-585-1051. You want to give Donkey of the Day to somebody, call us up now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast club. Your mornings will never be the same. It's here.

Start your own country.
Starting point is 00:59:15 I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There are 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of Laudonia. There are 55 gallons of water for 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
Starting point is 00:59:27 I am the Queen of Ladonia. I'm Jackson I, King of Kaperburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. The Waikana tried my country. My forefathers did that themselves. What could go wrong? No country willingly gives up their territory. I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead.
Starting point is 00:59:47 Oh, my God. What is that? Bullets. Bullets. We need help! We still have the off-road portion to go. Listen to Escape from Zakistan. And we're losing daylight fast.
Starting point is 01:00:00 That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself.
Starting point is 01:00:50 It's okay. Like grace. It's your time to nominate a donkey of your own.
Starting point is 01:01:15 Remember now, that's how they choose. Call in now, 800-585-1051. Hello, who's this? Yo, J Moolah, part two. I'm back, man. Giving donkey of the day to my mother-in-law, Big Nose McGraw, for breaking up my marriage. How did she break up your marriage?
Starting point is 01:01:36 Oh, you called the other day. Yeah, I called yesterday. I'm back, Envy. And you called. All right, so you know you're not getting back. Yesterday, you called your wife, baby wife a big head, a bald head. And today you called your baby mother's mother
Starting point is 01:01:50 what's she called? A big nose. Big nose McGraw, man. Big nose McGraw. But explain to me how she broke up your marriage. Jealousy. Because she can't find a man. Alright, but what happened, sir? Pretty much like this.
Starting point is 01:02:06 Uh-oh. She tried to have control where she can't have control. You get what I'm saying? No. She's jealous because she never was married. Cut it out, Envy. She never was married.
Starting point is 01:02:16 She never could stand a man. She never could have a man. I married her daughter and she got too much involved in my marriage. Okay, so how did she get involved? We need some specific details. Maybe it's just you, bro. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 01:02:32 He about to give you donkey today, Amy. Leave him alone. I'm not a hater. I'm just asking. You call your wife boy head. You call your wife's mother big nose. I'm just, I don't know what's next. DJ MV, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:49 She a, yeah, MV, yeah. She a hater. But you're not telling us what she did to break y'all up. What did she do? You cheated. In our business. It actually got me, got me locked up for something I didn't do. And other things I can't talk about because legal reasons.
Starting point is 01:03:04 Well, I'm sorry, but you have a great day. Okay. You got a potato head family. Hold it down, baby. All right, man. Goodness gracious. I'm with the mother-in-law.
Starting point is 01:03:15 Hello, who's this? This is Mika from Florida. Mika, who you want to give the hook in today to? Florida drivers. Oh, my God. They are the worst. Florida drivers. They are the worst. Florida drivers. They are the worst. What part of Florida
Starting point is 01:03:28 are you in? Miami. Okay. Alright. Especially Fort Lauderdale. It's horrible. No, Miami is worse than Fort Lauderdale. At least Fort Lauderdale, they let you get through. Miami, they speed up to you trying to get through. Sounds like New York to me. It definitely does.
Starting point is 01:03:44 I gotta stop doing that to people. Yo, what up, 597? What's up, bro? Who you want to give Donkey the day to? I want to give a donkey the day to these bad New York drivers. Here we go. Nah, for real, because you know the drivers who, like, they act like they ain't got nowhere to go,
Starting point is 01:04:02 or even the people walking in traffic. You're trying to make a left, and they walking past you all slow. Or you got the taxicab drivers who pull up in front of a park, and they double park in the street. You can't get by, but it's a park right next to them. These drivers are terrible out here. Power 105, y'all the best. Charlamagne Tha God.
Starting point is 01:04:21 The drivers in the Bronx, they never stop at stop signs. Get on my nerves, man. Y'all have a blessed day. You too. Alright, man. Hello, who's this? Yo, this is Natalie. Natalie, who you want to give Donkey of the Day to? I want to give Donkey of the Day to any and everybody who want to talk about
Starting point is 01:04:38 stay-at-home moms, single moms who are doing it with more than one child. I mean, even if it's one child, too. Yeah, that's a hard job because, listen, all I've ever done is babysat, and I'd be exhausted after two days. Exactly. Like, I have people over here telling me, why are you so tired?
Starting point is 01:04:56 All you do is watch the kids. You don't even work. First of all, I go to school. I go to school, and I take care of my kids full time. Nobody help me. I don't have family that's going to come in, poop in, help me, do none of that stuff. So when you see a single mother doing her shit and then you're catching her on her downtime, like when I want to do my little, you know, mommy five minute grown up time with a little brown cigarette or whatever the case is,
Starting point is 01:05:21 leave me the hell alone. You deserve it. That's right. Yeah, like don't look at me like, oh, damn, why don't you take your kids to the park? Because I'm tired. Why don't you take my kids to the park? Because if you're not actively helping a parent do anything with their kids,
Starting point is 01:05:35 I feel like you should really shut the hell up. All right. Because this is my future. She's really passionate. I can see. She's so right. You can't even do something simple like run to the store. What's the brown cigarette? What's the brown cigarette?
Starting point is 01:05:45 What's the brown cigarette? Huh? You heard me. I told her it's in the car. Oh, Mary Jane. All right. I'm just messing with you. You have a good one, mama.
Starting point is 01:05:54 All right, you too. All right. Don't care today. 800-585-1051. Now we have Ask Yee next. If you need relationship advice or any type of advice, call Yee right now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Starting point is 01:06:07 Come on, Mark. Need relationship advice? Need personal advice? Just need real advice. Call up now for Ask Ye. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Ye, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast
Starting point is 01:06:21 Club. It's time for Ask Ye. Hello, who's this? This Hugo the Jefe. Hugo the Je Club. It's time for Ask Yee. Hello, who's this? This is Hugo the Hefe. Hugo the Hefe. What's your question for Yee? Okay, Hefe. Hefe. Diamond Eye Productions. Man, look, so I'm the provider of my household. You know what I mean? I don't do too much of my business, but I got a four-story house. My mortgage
Starting point is 01:06:38 is very hefty, so that causes me to have to run at least a couple different businesses, and my wife finds it very refusal to herself to clean the house, wash my clothes, she don't cook no dinner. And how do you have a fruitful relationship when you're trying to, you know, be the provider and she's supposed to be the stay-at-home wife?
Starting point is 01:07:00 What does she do all day? That's what I'm trying to figure out. You don't have kids or anything? Oh, yeah, we got two kids. We have my son, he's about seven months, and my daughter's about two and a half years old. Okay, that's a lot of work already in order to be able to raise children as well as clean
Starting point is 01:07:15 the house. Yeah. It feels to me like you need to appreciate what she's doing with that, too, and you guys maybe should divvy up some of those responsibilities because it's not like she's staying at home doing nothing. That's really hard work right there. I mean, the only problem is in the morning, I should wake up and be able to have clean drawers.
Starting point is 01:07:33 I shouldn't have to go to CVS to go buy some drawers for the morning or have to call and grab her food for me to eat. Right. Well, first of all, she has a seven-month-old. So that's already not easy. And a two-and-a-half-year-old to have both of them simultaneously. And imagine how she feels where you're already assuming that she's at home.
Starting point is 01:07:52 And you just said you're trying to figure out what she does all day. Well, you do know what she does all day. She takes care of both of your children because those are your kids, too. And I'm sure you'd rather have her doing it than someone else, right? Yeah, that's fact. I agree. And so if you were to have a nanny, you would hire a nanny to take care of the kids, but the nanny's job wouldn't be to clean the house, too.
Starting point is 01:08:11 That's what a housekeeper would do, right? More of the air. Okay, so she's doing a full-time job at home. So what it feels to me like you guys need to come up with a schedule so that you're also partaking in handling responsibilities in the house. Because if you don't have underwear in the morning, you knew you didn't have underwear ahead of time. So you have to also pitch in because you want to show that you appreciate what she's doing and then she should show that she appreciates what you're doing. But you should
Starting point is 01:08:39 leave that as well, because trust and believe for women at home with their kids, that's not easy not to have that adult interactions and go to work every day. So there's pros and cons to both. But I'm sure for her being in the house with two kids all day and then also not being appreciated for the work that she's doing doesn't feel good. I mean, I feel you, but I'm pitching in. I'm pitching all the way in. I believe you. You guys are both pitching in. It's a partnership. But you got to appreciate what she brings to the table also. I'm going to love my wife then, I guess. Yeah, but listen, but I do agree that you guys have to come up with a system where maybe it's she does the laundry once a week, you do the laundry once a week. You know, if it's twice a week and you guys divvy up those responsibilities
Starting point is 01:09:22 so she doesn't feel like you're looking at her like she's not bringing any value to the home unless she's cleaning and cooking and doing all of those things. Because you could also do nice things for her as well to show that, look, you're doing a great job and I'm not going to undermine your responsibilities in this relationship. That sound right?
Starting point is 01:09:39 That sound right? That's what I'm going to do. Okay. There you go. I love it. Hey, yeah, I'm going to love my wife. You know what? Might get some Louboutins today then. There you go.
Starting point is 01:09:49 I love it. Okay. Thank you. Ask Yee. 800-585-1051 If you need advice, relationship advice, any type of advice, call her now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. uh-huh get some real advice with angela yee it's ask yee morning everybody it's dj envy angela yee charlamagne the guy we are the breakfast club we're in the middle of ask yee hello who's this hey this is ayana hey ayana what's your question? Okay, so I've been with my child's father for over eight years, almost ten years.
Starting point is 01:10:28 We got three beautiful kids together. And right now he's in debt. And I just wanted to ask you, you know, how does she feel about helping your significant other get out of debt? Like, would you, he wants me to use basically my tax return to help him, like, get out of debt like would you he wants me to use basically my tax return to help him like get out of debt and I just want to know how do you feel about that should I help him grow and help him get out of debt or just how how can I help him you know grow to get where he wants to be is this your child's father or is this the person that you want to spend the rest of your life with also I mean we're engaged and I do I I want to be with him. Then yes, I'm all for helping somebody, but I'm
Starting point is 01:11:09 also all for accountability. So when helping somebody, that means coming up with a plan. Do you guys have a financial planner? Oh, we don't. Okay. So I do recommend doing that. And a lot of times your bank will offer that for you. You can go to Operation Hope. They have all kinds of free services that's on there. But I think that you guys should also rely on a third party when it comes to that. Somebody who's an expert with finance. Because that way you stay on track. And you know where your money's going. He knows where it's going.
Starting point is 01:11:37 He knows what he has to contribute. Because I don't feel like you should just give him the money to handle things. I'm in agreeance with helping pay off things and having a plan to do that. But you don't want to put yourself in a bad position either. Right. You know, because it is the two of you doing this together. This is the person you're going to marry. And that can be a really huge strain on a relationship and on a person individually to have to think about those things.
Starting point is 01:12:02 And so I understand that. And it's nice to have somebody that can help you. But I also don't want you to be resentful of giving him that help that he needs. That's why I suggest getting a financial planner. And financial planning, it does not have to be for you if you're rich and you have millions of dollars. It is for you to be able to get to that point
Starting point is 01:12:19 where you can reach certain goals that you need to reach with your finances. And right now your goal is to help him get out of debt. So that's a, that is a joint issue that you guys both have together. You're going to be married. So his debt is going to be your debt. So it does also make sense for you to want to be part of that part of,
Starting point is 01:12:37 of supporting him in that way. But I do feel like let's come up with a real plan where you guys know where your expenses are going every month. He's in debt for a reason, which means that financially he wasn't you know he had some things going on i don't know if it was some emergency things i don't know if it was the pandemic i don't know if he just doesn't have he doesn't have the wherewithal to discuss his money and to to budget properly but those are things that need to be learned especially as you guys are about to enter into a union right well thank you so much for answering.
Starting point is 01:13:06 I love y'all. I listen to you every day. Okay, no problem. All right. ASCII, 805-85-1051. Now, we got rumors on the way? Yes, and let's talk about NBA Youngboy. He was on Clubhouse,
Starting point is 01:13:18 and he did a three-hour conversation with academics. We'll tell you what he said. It's time, time, time. She's spilling the tea. This is the Rumor Report with Angela Yee. We'll tell you what he said. Well, first, let's give it up for the ladies. Cardi B has made history. She has two Diamond records. Nice. Congrats.
Starting point is 01:13:42 She's the first woman emcee to go Diamond multiple times. So Maroon 5 collab, Girls Like You, surpassed $10 million in sales in the U.S. market. So that's certified diamond. So congratulations to her. Drop a bomb for Cardi B. Bodak Yellow also was diamond status. Congrats to Cardi.
Starting point is 01:13:59 All right. Also, congratulations to Halle Berry. She has a multi-picture deal with Netflix. Her directorial debut, Bruised, is number one in the United States. So congratulations to Halle Berry. She has a multi-picture deal with Netflix. Her directorial debut, Bruised, is number one in the United States. So congratulations to her. That's on Netflix. Drop a bomb for Halle Berry. Did y'all see Kevin Hart and Wesley Stipes?
Starting point is 01:14:17 I did. I watched that too. I liked it. I seen the end of it yesterday. It's pretty good. Yes. Pretty interesting. I think from the beginning, well, we can't give away too much.
Starting point is 01:14:25 From the beginning, I knew what it was. Yeah. But it was a couple of turns that I didn't see. Anticipate. Yeah, but it was good. It was pretty good. All right, and Adele has revealed a schedule for her 12-week Las Vegas residency. So she will be doing weekends with Adele every Friday and Saturday from January 21st to April 16th at the Caesars Palace Hotel.
Starting point is 01:14:44 We don't want to hear that. What we do want to hear is Bobby Shmurda reached out and said, me and Adele need to make a strip club anthem. Is she going to do that? Okay. Yes, Adele. She's going to do that? No, I don't know what she's going to do.
Starting point is 01:14:57 Okay, all right. Bobby Shmurda asked her a question. He said, I want to make a strip club anthem with Adele. She never responded. She has 24 hours to respond. Has Adele ever done a strip club song? I don't know. I don't know. Take it easy. No, I don'tle. She never responded. She has 24 hours to respond. Has Adele ever done a strip club song? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:15:06 I don't know. Take it easy. No, I don't know. Easy on me. But I'm going to check out in Vegas though, definitely. That'd be a good strip club song. All right, now,
Starting point is 01:15:13 NBA Youngboy was on Clubhouse with Academics and he talked about a multitude of things. They were on for over three hours, by the way. So, you know, he wiped all his videos
Starting point is 01:15:22 off of YouTube and here's what he had to say about YouTube. Well, I think as you learn the business, you learn like how badly all his videos off of YouTube. And here's what he had to say about YouTube. That's facts. But where does he put his videos now, though? I i mean there's other places i guess you could put it but yeah he cleared out his youtube channel i mean it makes sense because youtube gives you what pennies on the dollar and you know it's your content all they're doing is providing the service so the fact that people are coming to youtube to watch your videos and you're
Starting point is 01:16:01 not getting paid at least a lot more that that makes sense. Especially if there's another place where people can see your videos. That does make sense. In addition to that, he talked about being nominated for a Grammy. I don't think he really cares. You got your first Grammy nomination, man. Congratulations. They ain't gonna give me that shit.
Starting point is 01:16:19 I don't want it. They gotta give it to you. I think they're gonna give it to The Weeknd or Doja Cat. I ain't even focused on that shit. You ain't trying to decide if I'm the winner or no loser, man. If you won, would it mean something to you? I don't want to say no. I don't want to say yes.
Starting point is 01:16:34 I don't know. My grandma like it. To be honest, I really don't know how big or how small. I don't know what it means to even get one. Well, I will say there's more of us. When I mean more of us, more of us from the culture on those Grammy boards, so he has a hell of a chance.
Starting point is 01:16:51 Alright, in addition he talked about young Dolphin Virgil passing away. You know, he's been living at a mentor's home in Utah after a judge granted him a very strict house arrest. He talked about staying away from marijuana. He's been using vapes
Starting point is 01:17:05 in order to help curb that appetite. And, you know, he does have his joint project with Birdman coming out from the bayou, so that should be coming out. Okay. Yes. Interesting, right? Alright, well, Juicy J recently spoke
Starting point is 01:17:21 with Nas and Miss Info during the episode of Spotify's The Bridge 50 Years of Hip Hop podcast. And he talked about 3-6 Mafia breaking up. And here's what Juicy J had to say. You know, I would say drugs broke 3-6 Mafia up. What kind of drugs? The wildest drugs. From heroin to meth to cocaine, all kinds of pills.
Starting point is 01:17:42 When everybody's sober and ****, everybody's on the same page. But when cocaine's involved, things change, you know what I'm saying? But I'm not pointing a finger at nobody, man. Look, it happened. But that was the main thing that was really ****ing everything up. Our people wasn't showing up at the studio,
Starting point is 01:17:57 wasn't handling the business. The business was crazy. Everything was folding. That'll do it. Absolutely. All right, and Sandra Bullock was on Red Table Talk and she discussed motherhood. And sometimes she does wish that she and her kids were the same skin color. She announced in 2010 that she adopted Louis when he was three and a
Starting point is 01:18:16 half months old. And she also has a daughter, Layla, who she also adopted in 2015. Here's what she had to say. To say that I wish our skins matched, sometimes I do. Yeah. Because then it would be easier on how people approach us. Yeah. And I have the same feelings as a woman with brown skin, with her babies, or a white woman with, you know, white babies. It's the mother-child dynamic. Dynamic relationship. You don't have to color on mother. Maybe one day that will go away. I'm confused because didn't she choose the color of her baby? Well, what she's saying is that she's wishing that because I guess people come up to you and ask you all kinds of questions.
Starting point is 01:18:54 But she knew that was going to happen. What did she adopt? A black baby? Yeah, both of them. Yeah, so, I mean, of course she would know that. If she wanted to, I don't know. All right, whatever. You can't sit there now.
Starting point is 01:19:06 I wish... Sometimes I wish the colors of my babies were the same skin color. Or that she was the same skin color of them. You know, you probably don't know how it's going to be until it really happens. I did this whole... This Facebook audio room, and one of the women in the room
Starting point is 01:19:20 was talking about having adopted a black child when she was white. But you don't know until it for real happens. You're just thinking, yay, I'm about to have a baby. You're a white woman and you adopt a black baby. Of course people are going to look at you funny. And ask questions and then feel like that's not your kids and things like that.
Starting point is 01:19:35 Of course, we know that. Same thing if you're black and you adopt a white child, people are going to be looking at you funny and ask you a bunch of questions. You know that. Well, yeah, but she's just talking about how people approach you. Because, you know, people can be really rude and very, like, just in your face. So I think she was just talking about other people approaching you. It wouldn't happen like that. And she loves her kids.
Starting point is 01:19:55 All right, well, that is your rumor report. All right, thank you, Miss Yee. All right, up next is the People's Choice Mix. Get your question. Hey, what we want to hear. 800-585-1051. What's your favorite song right now? I got that A New Adele featuring Bobby Shmurda coming up.
