that means is very important for you to continue doing what you're doing because you're doing something good.
How do you protect the dance hall culture while still wanting it to evolve and continue to grow globally?
Well, what you do is be yourself.
You see, as a dancer, I ought to say just be yourself.
You do what Jamaican do.
You do what dance all do.
You keep yourself in the right way where you're supposed to be, you know?
Because if he's a raster man, you just be a raster.
If it's a ballad or a magula, you be a ballad or a magala.
You see it.
So you're just supposed to be the artist that you are every time.
If a man knows say, him expect roots and culture from you, you give them that.
You know, I'm not saying, I'm expect girl chun from you, you give them that.
I'm not saying, expect badness from you, you give them that.
So you just be yourself and keep yourself to where you're supposed to be at.
Then you have some artists that do everything.
Because me do culture, girl, bad man, tune, everything.
Because I'm just a dancer artist.
That's what I do.
music for people that love music. So we have all different type of set. So we have the girl
set. We have the gangster set. Then we have the culture set. Then you know, then you got
the mother set. Because you have big women and listen to music. Them like for your clean music. So you
know, you have the party where you do too. And then you have a part with the girl that one broke
out. So you make them broke out. You know, that's how it is. So that's how. And all you protect
dance also is protecting you yourself as the artist you know you have to know say you
you get your rights you get um you control your masters all of these things you know protect yourself
and cause since a late everybody wants to do over some being a man classic every a man called me
this minute him want to hold a man called me next minute him want to wicked slum a man called me next

How do we get dancehall back to where it was before, right?
You remember one time, you would hear
Jamaican music or dancehall music on radio, right?
You would hear it entwined with everything else that's going on.
But now it seems like it's back.
to a specialty thing where you're only going to hear it
Sundays at 9.
So how do we get it back to the point where it's just part of world music?
Yeah, I think, alright, you see, back in the days
when all of us used to have contract, remember them time?
You know, all of us who see have contract,
