Hey y'all, Niminy here. I'm the host of a brand new history podcast for kids and families called Historical Records.
Executive produced by Questlove, The Story Pirates, and John Glickman, Historical Records brings history to life through hip-hop.
Flash, slam, another one gone. Bash, bam, another one gone. The crack of the bat and another one gone. The tip of the cap, there's another one gone. Each episode is about a different inspiring figure from history.
Like this one about Claudette Colvin, a 15-year-old girl in Alabama who refused to give up her seat on the city bus nine whole months before Rosa Parks did the same thing.
Check it. And it began with me. Did you know, did you know?
I wouldn't give up my seat.
Nine months before Rosa, it was called a gold mine.
Get the kids in your life excited about history by tuning in to Historical Records.
Because in order to make history, you have to make some noise.
Listen to Historical Records on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or currently we are on vacation. Man, totally disconnected.
Yes.
We're not even really here.
You think you're listening to us, but we're not.
Well, we are not.
We're here in spirit.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But, hey, it's okay because we are giving you some of the best of this week.
The best donkeys, the best interviews, you guys, which is the best callers,
and some of the best moments The Breakfast Club has had in the last couple of months.
So sit back, relax, enjoy, and have fun.
Keep it locked.
Red is going to be running the boards.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
This is your time to get it off your chest.
800-585-1051.
We want to hear from you on the Breakfast Club.
Hello, who's this?
Yeah, DJ, this is Shuggy.
Hey, what up, Shuggy?
Get it off your chest, bro.
Man, I just want to talk about my kids, man.
They be stressing me out with the V-Bucks vacation coming up.
But I love them, though.
I love them to death.
You said with the what, bro?
Ah, man, they be sticking up the bathroom with the wipes and the shit bowls.
The what?
It's bad.
And the V-Bucks.
How old are your kids, bro?
These little kids is bad, man.
How old are your kids?
Well, we got a nine-year-old
and we got a five-year-old.
You got to teach them
how to wipe their ass, bro.
Yeah, that's wild.
Yeah.
Nine and five,
they should know
how to wipe their bunkie by now.
Absolutely.
V-Bucks, too?
Man, pray for me then, y'all.
Pray for me then.
All right.
That mean their daddy
don't really know
how to wipe his ass.
That's true.
Whoa, whoa.
I watched the episode with you and Ray J, man.
I'm not a fuck.
I'm good.
Man, so you learned how to wipe your ass by watching the episode of The Breakfast Club
with Ray J.
We helping people, bro.
It does.
I appreciate Ray J, man.
I'll be laughing.
How old are you, brother?
I'm a good young 30, man.
I was born in the 1990s, 100s, man.
So he was 30 years old and just learned how to properly wipe his ass.
Two weeks to go to the breakfast club.
And if you got bed bugs, bro, this is a serious problem.
You got to do something.
Yeah, all right.
But I appreciate y'all, man.
We ain't doing nothing clean in this house.
Yeah, all right.
See?
Niggas get bed bugs Yeah, all right. See? Niggas get bad fucks every day, B.
What?
Okay.
See?
That's when you a child.
That's the one that your parents say, stay away from them because that family dirty over there.
That's that dirty family over there.
Lord have mercy.
Hello?
Who's this?
Hello?
Yeah, I'd like to say I'm a black boomer, Johnson, from Long Beach, California.
I love black love
What I want you brothers to do out there
Is stay with you a black woman
A black woman is a precious thing on earth
And if you date outside that
I don't take nothing light, bright, or white
Only dark skin
My sister is from Arkansas
And I met her and we've been together
For 15 years
And all I want to say is
Go in the store, brother.
Make sure your kids look like
you and your wife, black.
Instead of going in there looking like any
other. And you won't know what they are.
So keep it black.
Keep it black.
I agree with you.
Keep it black because when you go in that store
and they don't know what your kid identified as,
they're going to look at them as other.
But when you stay with your black woman, they're going to look at them as others.
But when you stay with your black woman, they're going to know your kids are black when they go in that supermarket or they go in that mall.
Keep it black on black. I feel like black, African, it looks like the African from our forefathers when we came here.
And everybody see us black.
They know us.
Keep it black, brother.
Dr. Omar, why was that?
Yeah, all right.
Why he just said Charlamagne?
You keep telling people I'm Dominican.
I'm not Dominican.
People starting to believe I'm Dominican.
I'm black.
What are you?
I'm black.
For real?
He's other.
You look a little other.
I'm black, black.
You know what?
Forget y'all.
Hello, who's this?
This baby without a pump in him, man. Ain't nothing but good vibes over here. I'm black, black. Like, you know what? Forget y'all. Hello, who's this? This is David out of Pompano, man.
Ain't nothing but good vibes over here.
I'm blessed to get through the day.
I want to tell y'all, you're doing a great job.
Y'all keep it positive for me every morning.
Thank you, brother.
How was your weekend?
What'd you do this weekend?
You said you wanted to share something about your weekend.
All I wanted to share was it was a great weekend, man.
You know, spending time with the family is important.
It gives you good mental health.
Thank you, Charlie May.
I read his book, man.
Tell him thank you.
DJ F, you're the man, man.
I got a car in the making.
Whenever you bring your car show to Florida, man, I'm going to bring it through.
All right, we coming to Florida, I think, in October.
We're doing it the same weekend as 50's Tycoon weekend.
So, just stay tuned for the dates.
I'm not sure the exact date, though.
All right, man. I appreciate y'all. All right, brother. Hello, who's this? Yo, this is Gerald from Florida. Tycoon weekend So just stay tuned For the dates I'm not sure The exact date though Alright man
I appreciate y'all
Alright brother
Hello who's this?
Yo this is Gerald
From Florida
What's up what's up
What's happening
Good morning sir
Good morning
Good morning
Is this Shadow Man the guy?
Yes sir
Did you just tell us
We was gonna go
Nuke for nuke
With any country
In this world?
No that's not what I said
I said you don't i said i said you i
said you don't want to want nobody to be going nuke for nuke i said we'll all be dead within a
matter of minutes absolutely but i just wanted to put on the record that america is is that that
country we spent so much our military no country wants it with us. It will be over
within a matter of a second.
Yeah, but you're
acting like Russia and China don't have nuclear
weapons too, bro, bro. It's going to be a lot of deaths.
You don't want that. That's not what you want. A lot of destruction.
We don't want that at all. I don't think their
nuclear weapons are advanced as
ours, as quick as ours.
I think that y'all
sound ridiculous, and I think y'all have no idea
what nuclear weapons are.
You do not want nuclear warfare.
We sound stupid.
I hate when people say,
yeah, our weapons are so more advanced.
You don't want that.
How do we know that?
You don't want that.
Nope.
You do not want countries
to start throwing nukes around.
There's no tomorrow, people,
when that happens.
And we supposed to love tomorrow.
That's right.
Don't do that.
But get it off your chest.
800-585-1051.
If you need to vent, hit us up now.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
It's a new day.
This is your time to get it off your chest.
Wake up.
Whether you're mad or blessed.
It's time to get up and get something.
Call up now.
800-585-1051.
We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club.
Hello, who's this?
Yeah, what's up, Envy?
What's up, Trav?
It's Charlamagne.
What's up, Char?
Peace, sis.
What's happening?
Yeah, I'm chilling, I'm chilling, I'm chilling.
Say what up to Jess Hilarious.
Well, well, well.
Isn't this just not that hilarious?
How are you?
Nah, how you doing?
Don't you start that, Trav, now.
You be nice.
I'm not.
Because we're going to go blow for blow, Trav.
I'm not starting nothing.
It seems like they know you.
Don't play with me, because I'm going to get to know you in a minute.
Miss Moore.
What's up?
Miss Moore.
Can I tell you something, Miss Moore?
You better tell it right.
What's up?
Change your name to Miss Jess.
Kind of funny.
Because you all kind of funny.
I ain't no hater.
She's hilarious.
I take that.
Me and Trav argued about Jess before.
Trav, you was mad at Jess for something.
But I...
That was years ago.
And see, I can say that she has...
She has said something about the gay community years ago.
That was years ago.
Don't need to bring that up, sir.
Oh, you gay?
Yeah, he gay.
All right.
I'm just giving her some context.
I don't want her to think you just coming at her for no reason.
I felt like it was coming from a place, but I didn't know he was gay.
All right, what's up with you?
Well, Laverne Cox is the man today.
I did say you kind of funny.
You are kind of funny.
She's hilarious.
What if I be like, you kind of straight?
You going to be mad. You better you're gonna be mad you better relax you know that no you know what jeff people be thinking i'm straight
when they meet you you know what i'm saying so until i get until i get to talking until i get
to talk you do that kind of straight now that i think about it he does that kind of straight he
do charred heavy jeff listen I want to talk, I need,
what should I do, right?
I think the person
that lives above me,
I think he'd be
in his girl up.
And I don't know
if I should mind my business
or call the cops on him.
No, you call the cops.
You want nobody to die.
He could be defeated in death.
Call the police.
Why do you,
but you got to give us
some context.
Why do you think
he's doing that?
They could just be
having rough sex.
But I don't know
because he's African.
I don't know if he'd be. I don't know if he just
be yelling when he's called.
But like,
he be like
going off on her
and his language.
I don't know what people
I be hearing
furniture movement.
He be like
napping on her.
And if he make me
want to call the cops,
I don't know what
they talking about.
Maybe you should tell
the landlord first.
Yeah.
He the maintenance man.
Oh, he the maintenance man.
The maintenance man ain't live upstairs.
I will.
He live right above me.
So when you go to work, why don't you just go up there and ask the girl?
She not going to see.
But you can see her face if she getting beat or something.
Yeah.
You know, I should have been locked in the door like I'm locked out.
And see if she open the door.
There you go.
You should tell somebody if you really feel that way.
Definitely.
If you feel like it's going down up there, you should tell somebody.
Bye, Trav.
You're so crazy, man.
But get it off your chest.
800-585-1051.

Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, James Brown,
B.B. King, Miriam Akiba.
I shook up the world.
James Brown said, say it loud.
And the kid said, I'm black and I'm proud.
Black boxing stars and black music royalty
together in the heart of Zaire, Africa.
Three days of music and then the boxing event.
What was going on in the world at the time made this fight as important that anything else is going on on the planet.
My grandfather laid on the ropes and let George Foreman basically just punch himself out.
Welcome to Rumble, the story of a world in transformation.
The 60s and prior to that, you couldn't call a person black.
And how we arrived at this peak moment.
I don't have to be what you want me to be.
We all came from the continent of Africa.
Listen to Rumble, Ali, Foreman, and the soul of 74
on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. That's right. We're going to discuss social issues, especially those that affect black and brown people, but in a way that informs and empowers all people to hopefully create better allies.
Think of it as a black show for non-black people. We discuss everything from prejudice to politics to police violence.
And we try to give you the tools to create positive change in your home, workplace and social circle.
Exactly. Whether you're black, Asian, white, Latinx, indigenous, LGBTQIA+, you name it.
If you stand with us, then we stand with you.
Let's discuss the stories and conduct the interviews that will help us create a more empathetic, accountable, and equitable America.
You are all our brothers and sisters, and we're inviting you to join us for Civic Cipher each and every Saturday with myself, Ramses Jha, Q Ward, and some of the greatest minds in America.
Listen to Civic Cipher every Saturday on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Doing it, and I'm doing it on my own terms because I kind of backed away from the industry because it became too much for me to still do it.
And then find someone like Amp who believed in me and allows me to be
who i am yeah because you know in this business they try to change you to meet a certain criteria
and i never fit into that yeah criteria and didn't want to and i love that i love it and and so for
the rolling stones magazine greatest 200 singers of all time yeah the greatest one of singers of
all time how did how do you feel being left out of that?
I don't feel anything.
I don't pay any attention to that.
That's somebody behind a desk who doesn't really know what they're talking about.
And that's right.
How could you leave Celine Dion off?
Right.
Mm-hmm.
How could you?
Mm-hmm.
She's a great, you know, how could you?
Yeah.
So I don't pay attention to that.
I don't pay attention to awards and all that, even though I have of everything that of musically but it doesn't mean anything what means matters
to me and which has kept me with my sold-out shows that I'm proud of is my
people coming to see me and paying their hard-earned money that's what keeps me
going yeah I do the Rolling Stone clearly those people are culturally
clueless I mean they leaving people like you celine diana but see i was never played on bh1 or mtv none of my videos because they always
said i was too urban and i only had a pop record with never knew love that's the only one they
allowed to cross over i wonder you said something earlier you said that you never had the machine
behind you and it's interesting because you can see how that might still impact you now when it
comes to these lists right exactly when you think about it like back in the day when
mtv i want my mtv and they didn't want to play michael you know it was the president of the
company that said if you don't play him i'm going to expose that you're racist and i don't think
really anything has changed i think you have to have and back then i didn't have that kind of
person that would go on the front line for me.
Right.
But Michael did.
And I'm glad he did.
Because just imagine you not hearing Thriller the way it was or being exposed to all those wonderful videos that he did. And they didn't acknowledge his 40th anniversary of Thriller or anything at the Grammys or American Music Awards.
How did they pick and choose who got the machine back then, though?
Because I feel like back then you really needed talent to get back then, you really needed talent to get a deal.
You really needed talent to get a deal.
That's why my audience is predominantly black, because BET and all those black outlets played
my videos, you know, and black radio supported me so much.
So that's why I'm able to survive.
That's why I don't understand why a lot of black artists, like, don't go back to the black publications and things like that, that made them.
You know why.
Well, I know why.
They think white ice is cold.
Always.
Why?
I have no idea.
I don't understand that.
I never understand why they think vanilla ice cream is colder than chocolate.
I think it's because they want that mass look. You i mean but you could have that let me tell you something
i went to oh what's the girls group they came to charlotte and they sold out the arena there was
nothing there but black people oh girl escape escape escape yes yeah so what's wrong with the
black dollar i definitely get what you're saying. My generation, they also feel like, because I don't, although I'm a part of them,
they feel that's some type of advanced validation when you get, like, they call it the crossover.
Right.
And people, I did a show for Fox, sitcom on Fox.
Rel.
Rel, yep.
Yep, shout out to the show, Rel.
And I was on it with Sinbad. He played Rel's dad. Oh, I love Sinbad. It was amazing, right? I love him, Rel. Yep. Yep. Shout out to the show, Rel. And I was on it with Sinbad. He played Rel's dad. It was amazing. I love him too. Like the show, people were selling me because people was only used to seeing me on like Wild N' Out and all that type of stuff, you know, more production with black people. And then they were like, oh, that's your crossover. Fox is your crossover. It's like, you really made it now. I really made it because I'm on Fox, you know, working around all these white people.
No, I been made it.
And then still, I still ain't make it.
That sitcom wasn't like the cream of the crop for me yet.
I'm still not where I want to be in terms of, you know, just where I'm going.
Right.
But I didn't consider that as my crossover.
That's another show that I'm on.
That's another stepping stone.
Right. Exactly. So I get exactly what you're saying and that's what we think we think when we cross over to that pop we've made it why are we why do we want to be
so accepted and i never really want i just wanted to be accepted i i wasn't good at smooching you
know i wasn't chalamet i i wasn't good at at doing that and You know I wasn't, Charlamagne. I wasn't good at doing that.
And I didn't want to go to the parties and have to meet this one.
And I didn't like auditioning.
Yeah, I know that's right.
Do you like it?
No.
I know.
They look at you like you're crazy.
But they make it so hard for you.
I won't do it.
Or they'll act like it.
All right, we got more with Stephanie Mills.
When we come back, don't move.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Good morning, everybody. Mills when we come back don't move it's the Breakfast Club good morning the Breakfast Club morning everybody it's DJ Envy Charlamagne Tha Guy we are the Breakfast Club let's get back into it it's the Breakfast Club good morning I got a question about Michael too because I want to know
I will answer okay good so is it true that you and Michael made date? I called it dating. How was that? It was wonderful.
Michael was gentle.
He was kind, very determined, knew where he wanted to go, and we just had fun.
Yeah.
He used to come to the Wiz all the time.
So was he a smooth criminal?
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
He was a smooth criminal.
Couldn't wait to say that.
All right, cool. I loved him, that afro and chocolate.
Yeah.
So why did he change all that?
I think that's what people get Michael misconstrued.
And, you know, they'll label Michael Tom as an Uncle Tom or, you know, a coon because of that.
I got to be strategic because that's my baby.
But Michael wanted to be the king of pop.
He had a fetish with Elvis Presley.
And he had his eyes on Lisa Presley when she was very young.
I think he always knew he wanted to because he felt like that was the epitome.
Yeah.
You know?
And I think he really wanted to be king.
But then when he got over there, they showed him that you still.
Still a nigga.
Yeah, yeah.
Damn.
And it broke his heart.
Yeah.
Did y'all have a relationship even up until his passing?
No.
He was too different.
Yeah.
I couldn't relate to that, Michael.
Okay.
It had gone too far.
But I think he knew that it had gone too far.
But what can you do?
Right.
You can't go back.
At this point, yeah.
You can't go back. Because we went to the opening of the Atlantis and he asked me to come he asked to see me and I didn't go because I was rehearsing and I often wondered what he wanted
what he wanted to tell me he probably wanted to to tell me something. But it had gone too far, and I couldn't relate.
And Michael was taught the moonwalk by my ex-husband, Jeffrey Daniel.
I went to those rehearsals.
I know everybody claimed that they did not.
Jeffrey Daniel taught Michael the moonwalk and all those things.
But the Motown people, they don't always give people credit.
They're taught not to give people credit. I love giving people credit for what they do for me
because you can't do this by yourself but um you know michael never gave him credit and he should
have it's just interesting to me how you know i always wonder like what can make a person
like totally lose their blackness and have you seen somebody lose their blackness or
fall out with black people and find a way to get back with the community because it feels like once
you once you turn your back on us we we turn our back on you forever yeah but look at it you know
i can remember a time people not gonna like this either but i can remember a time when michael would
be at the awards and you would have to get in a line to see him.
I never did that.
I'm not getting in a line to see nobody.
Ain't nobody that important.
Nobody's more important than God.
And I think there's no one that's, you know, like some people say, well, how can you say something about Oprah or something about Gail?
Aren't you afraid?
I fear God.
And you know that.
You know that, Chalamet.
That's right.
I only fear your god i
don't feel a backlash i mean i'm 66 years old right they're gonna do you know what i'm saying
but i think and nobody's above critique like nobody i don't care who you are and how much
money you have because you could lose that look at har Harvey Weinstein. I remember a certain person calling him God.
I, you know, Charlie Rose.
Who would have thought?
You know, Matt Lauer.
He was kind of arrogant.
He was arrogant.
Yeah.
But I just don't think that anybody's underappreciated.
But I do think Michael knew he went too far.
And you got to remember, towards the end of his career, he went to Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.
And he even wanted to give Pops, Minister Farrakhan, his catalog.
And Pops wouldn't take it.
And he had a lot of Muslims around him towards the end.
Michael never forgot he was black.
I think he just got caught up in that ride.
That ride can be vicious, as we see with other people that are white dealing with the
britney spears and and and and i go back to them because i really see how the business has tormented
them and the people around them um the movie pride seven deadly sin story it's gonna be on lifetime
yes with with uh nephew tommy who did a brilliant job. He plays my son Gabe.
And Kenya King, who's a Canadian actress.
And Erica Campbell came in to play Pastor Trey.
This is your first feature?
My first feature.
That's crazy.
My first feature.
So since Broadway and everything else, nobody's decided Stephanie Miller should be acting?
They wouldn't give me a job.
Damn.
They wouldn't.
Do you want to do more?
Oh, yes.
I got the bug now.
But I'm not auditioning.
You're not?
No.
Tell them, Jess.
She's not auditioning, so don't ask her.
What role would you want to play?
Mothers.
I mean, I could play a mother, you know, an older sister.
But mothers, I want to do a Christmas.
Yes, being a therapist. Or I want to play a Christmas yes oh my therapist or I want
to play somebody really tough and like gangster I could see that too I can see
that too now until you it's a see your size shorter than you when does the
movie like that like that movies April 8th, okay.
And then Black to Broadway
is February 28th, right?
28th, yes.
Well, Stephanie Mills,
it's always a pleasure
sitting down to build with you
and talk to you
and I just love seeing you
all the time.
I love seeing you too,
Bambi Eyes.
Yes, ma'am.
That's right.
It's Stephanie Mills, y'all.
It's The Breakfast Club.

So sit back, relax, enjoy, and have fun.
It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Charlemagne the Guy.
We are the Breakfast Club.
We got our guest co-host, Jess Hilarious here.
Yes, indeed.
And we got our special guest, Tyler Lepley.
Good morning.
Hey, what's up, y'all? Long way from ringside, my brother. Long way from ringside, man. Shout out to Russ Yes, indeed. And we got our special guest, Tyler Lepley, here. Good morning. What's up, y'all?
Long way from ringside, my brother.
Long way from ringside, man.
Shout out to Russ Parr, dog.
Shout out to Russ Parr.
That's when I first met Charlemagne.
Yep.
Y'all know he's a good actor?
Who, Charlemagne?
Yeah.
That's a goddamn lie, man.
You ain't never seen ringside?
Classic.
You ain't never seen him act?
Should've won an Oscar.
That's a goddamn lie.
That's where I first met this man.
I ain't gonna lie, dog.
He showed up professional.
He knew his lines, and he had a few of them. Yeah. He had a few of them. He had a few of them. He had a few of them. He had a couple of scenes.. I ain't gonna lie, dog. He showed up professional. He knew his lines. And he had a few of them.
He had a few of them.
He had one line.
He had a few.
He had a couple scenes.
But I ain't gonna lie, bro.
You really showed up and did your thing.
He was a true professional.
That's when I met him, like, I don't know, eight years ago.
Now we gotta thank you, Morris Chestnut.
And things that came up for you.
Now you think he Morris Chestnut now.
First of all, Morris Chestnut thinks that I'm him.
Yo, shut up.
That's what he said.
I didn't make this up.
He started that.
But things have been on the up since then for you, though, brother.
Man, you know, it's always good to have a job.
You know what I'm saying?
Let's go back to the beginning for people that don't know who you are.
Young man from Philly.
Had football dreams.
High school to football.
College to football.
And then decided that football wasn't the key.
The answer.
Yeah.
You know, a lot of times, like, you know, our losses can really be lessons if you've
got enough. You know, if you can really see it for what it is so it's like um you know i just always
thought i was gonna play you know football in the nfl whatnot like since a little boy went all the
way through pop warner got a scholarship and whatnot but it's like you know what i figured
out is that it's not always it's not all about having a skill set and this really crosses genres
anyway you know i'm saying you gotta know the right people you gotta have the right politics
going on and you know I had a couple injuries.
I was getting in a little bit of trouble.
You know, I didn't end up making it.
But, you know, in hindsight, it definitely was one of my biggest lessons.
You an Eagles fan?
Oh, for sure.
Lee Green.
It was a tough loss.
Congratulations.
I'm a Cowboy fan.
Congratulations.
That's okay.
So then a friend of y'all invited you to L.A.
Blind?
Yeah, you know, it was very blind, but I had the blindfold on me already.
So, like I said, I got in a little bit of trouble.
Couldn't get a job.
I couldn't really figure nothing out.
I had two friends.
They really like me.
I call them cousins, but, you know, not by blood.
We black.
We understand.
I got you.
I got you.
You know, I'm the right man.
You got his brother.
You know what I'm saying?
You started training out in L.A.?
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, so they were boxed. You know anything about training? Just like, well, I football train, so this is what I'm going to do. No, no, yeah. You got his brother. You know what I'm saying? Right. He's on the training now in L.A. Mm-hmm. Yeah, so they were boxers.
You know anything about training?
He's like, well, I football train, so this is what I'm going to do.
No, hell no.
But the cast I'm talking about, shout out to Leon and Leroy, they were boxers.
So I kind of just hanging around the gym, finessed a job, personal training.
So somebody came up and just asked me to audition.
Super small role.
I hope it never sees the light of day.
I appreciate it.
I appreciate it.
It's not on TV?
No, hell no.
It's called Super Slumber Horror Movie.
Some crazy slumber party slaughter.
You didn't even make TV.
The more your star rise, it's going to come out.
It's going to come out.
Somebody's going to put it on Amazon or something.
It was funny.
One of the producers in the back was like,
I think it's a porno.
I was like, it's not a porno.
And so I showed up.
I did it.
I booked it.
And it wasn't enough, a couple thousand dollars.
But it was enough to kind of pique my interest.
I had some natural skill set but i wasn't like the best
at it yeah so at that point i started to um you know apply myself to get the head shots and get
into a class and you know as things started going you get deeper in it you start doing the reading
getting into therapy and all the things that that it takes to really sharpen this tool
but it takes work though how did the tyler Perry thing? They said that he actually walked in wearing his Madea outfit as you were auditioning.
So that had to be kind of strange and weird.
That's crazy.
Six foot six walking in all dressed up.
You don't know how tall he is.
Yeah.
It's crazy.
He's like a basketball player walking through.
But, yeah, so it was like that was a long audition process.
Maybe over the span of like four or five months.
You know, he was auditioning in a few different shows for like plenty of different roles at the same time yeah so it's a um you know it's
like a gauntlet you're going in for this role this there's different tv show and you know maybe like
three or four auditions into it we had like some type of callbacks they brought us to atlanta and
um he was in the middle of shooting something while he was coming down to look at the auditions
and anybody that knows him like he don't got no time for nothing. He's doing 12 things at once.
You think he's Jamaican,
he got 50 different jobs.
So, you know, on his lunch break,
from shooting something with Madea,
he came in to check out what was going on.
We went to dress up.
That's kind of crazy.
But it was, you know,
it put into perspective how hard he works.
Right.
And how much tunnel vision you need
to really get done
what you're trying to do in this business.
And that was for the half and the half notch, right?
Yeah.
Okay, okay. A long time ago, yeah yeah and so when did you get p valley p valley
was probably like we did nine seasons of the half and half knots i think we went off the air maybe
in like 2020 we probably stopped filming maybe 2018 2019 and i had booked it maybe like 2019
so for the last season of the half and half knots in the first season of p valley we were shooting
them at the same time which was crazy because back then in the first season of P-Valley. We were shooting them at the same time, which was crazy because back then in the first season,
we shot on Tyler Perry Studios.
So I was having a couple days that were crazy.
We were like, you know, I would shoot a 10-hour, 11-hour day over here,
you know, 6 to 7 over here,
go take a shower and clock in 8 to 6 a.m. for P-Valley.
But it was just like...
And that's two different roles and two different scripts
and two different...
Yeah, it was definitely, you know, it definitely was difficult, you know, for those few days.
But these are the problems that we ask for, you know what I'm saying?
When you have time to do push-ups.
I don't know push-ups no more.
In between sets, you know?
Yeah, yeah.
Now, you say you were playing football.
And this is a question that I ask every football player or anybody that's played football.
Would you allow your child to play football especially because you had a bad
back surgery so yeah for sure i had yeah knee surgeries like plenty concussions it's managed
it's different nowadays you know with all the science and everything that we know so i would
probably say i mean i want to i want to be a dream killer i'm gonna play you know i want to be tough
and whatnot i got two boys now congratulations but i Thank you. I appreciate it. Thank you. But I do think that I would be a fool to not apply some of the things that we know now.
I wouldn't want him to play my position.
I was a running back.
It's just constant contact.
Maybe a little wide receiver or quarterback or something.
Yeah.
All right.
We got more with Tyler Lepley when we come back.
So don't move.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Good morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Charlemagne the God.
We are the Breakfast Club.
We got our co-host, Jess Hilarious,
joining us.
And we have Tyler Lepley
in the building.
Charlamagne?
And Pete Valli,
we getting season three of that?
Oh, yeah.
I feel like it's my show.
I'm like, absolutely.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
Why are you asking?
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, season three
got greenlit.
Shout out to Katori Hall.
Yes.
Matter of fact,
so, look,
I heard when they was auditioning,
when they was doing the screen test
for the chemistry read,
for who was going to be Big Bone,
I heard that your name was in the mix.
Yeah, man.
Yeah.
Yeah, your girl stole that from you, man.
Hey, shout out to me.
My bones ain't that big,
obviously.
Miracle Waller.
Miracle Waller.
Yeah, yeah, Miracle Man.
She always take us out.
Damn, man.
Tyler made that call.
I know somebody. I know somebody. I know somebody. there to. Damn, man. Tyler made that call. I know somebody
that knows somebody
that knows somebody.
Stop it, yo, man.
They came to talk to me.
Who you want?
Jeff's a miracle.
He pick miracle.
Damn, man.
Jesus.
No, no.
I wasn't like that, though.
Now, he met Miracle on set, though.
Yeah, I met her before that.
No, I was going to say
y'all already know her.
Damn.
I auditioned for that
four times, yo. I auditioned for that four times, yo.
I auditioned for it
four times.
The first season,
the second season.
Yo, what's up, Katori?
What's up with you?
They saying I can't,
I don't got the accent.
They saying that I,
that you,
they don't be saying that.
Where you got to be from?
Where you got to be from?
Mississippi.
A place that ain't even real.
Like, no,
Mississippi.
That ain't real.
What do you mean?
But Chocolisa,
that ain't even real.
I get what you're saying
you know i'm saying that's like that's like me auditioning for black panther like oh you got
to talk like they're doing wakanda where that's at yeah i mean so but i i get it because i i can't
be country but that's like what i was talking about earlier with leah daniels butler it's like
she continues to go back you've been there four times that means they like you yep they're gonna
keep bringing you back absolutely um absolutely but yeah i just i had heard i had
heard that because miracle was the only one that actually did the chemistry yeah but i had asked
like who else because a lot of times with chemistry they have a few people so we can see right right
right um but i i think the only one the only other person they brought up was you yeah yeah
this is before y'all was a couple and all that yeah yeah so i remember i was shooting the first
season of harlem and um congrats on that, yeah. So I remember I was shooting the first season of Harlem.
Congrats on that, too.
Appreciate it.
We got the new season on right now on Amazon Prime.
Had to drop that.
But yeah, I remember we were shooting the first season, and I had a day off, and Katori hit me, and she was like, yeah, do you mind just doing some chemistry reads with us so
we can see the chemistry between Diamond and his potential love interest?
We didn't know her name was going to be Big Bone at the time.
Right.
I think it was maybe in March or whatever year that was, 2020.
And so I had met her on FaceTime.
And then I remember a couple months later, I had showed up to my friend's dinner party.
Or he was having a birthday party.
He was having a dinner.
Unbeknownst to me, we had a mutual friend.
She was there.
And between the time I had met her on FaceTimest to me, we had a mutual friend. She was there. And between the time
I had met her on FaceTime
and that point,
she had booked it.
So now I knew
she was about to be
working with me.
I know what it's like
to transition into this business.
You know, it can be a lot.
You know, coming from where
she's coming from
into something like this,
especially something like P-Valor.
You got an accent.
There's so many things
you can have over there.
You know, she was just my friend
at first,
and really that's how
I was going into it.
Let me just kind of be like,
you know, big bro and kind of just, you know what I'm saying? Oh, we just had this at first, and really that's how I was going into it. Let me just kind of be like, you know, big bro
and kind of just, you know what I'm saying?
Oh, we just had this conversation today.
Big bro.
You see how big bro?
That's why we don't do big bros.
We just had this conversation.
You was big bros.
Tyler, you was big bros.
He was big bros.
He just needs a nigga's blue face to talk about.
That's what I'm talking about.
That's why you don't allow big bros.
I like that.
I just kind of went to school a little bit
or just be any help that she may need.
Cause you know, 95% of her scenes are with me.
It's kind of like everything I go through
on Harlem with Megan, all my stuff was with her.
So, you know, it behooves us to have a cool relationship.
You don't wanna work with somebody you don't like.
But yeah, we hit it off and we just clicked so hard
that it just was what it was. So by the time we started clicked so hard that it just was what it was.
So by the time we started shooting on set, it already was what it was.
How does that work in this era?
Because to me, that sounds perfectly normal.
But then you see all of these situations where an employee hooked up with an employee.
Now it's a scandal.
What is that?
Y'all got to disclose that to the production of the studio?
Yeah.
It's about communication, I think is your best friend
And just kind of
Knowing what's going on
And also
And also
Like compartmentalizing
What's going on
It's like yeah
That's my girl
But when we show up on set
We here to do work
That's right
But dad what happens
When you and Miracle at home
Arguing about something
Right
It could be something
Y'all arguing
Because every couple gets to it
And you gotta go to work
The next day
Y'all not really talking
But now y'all gotta turn it on
Yeah
How is that I know how to do that You better Get your But now y'all got to turn it on. Yeah. How was that?
I know how to do that.
You better get right.
But does she know how to do it? You go against me, it's on.
Right.
No, but all jokes aside, yeah.
Has that happened?
Yeah, for sure.
I mean, the big bro told her that.
So we already, you know what I'm saying?
We already talked that into that real quick.
No, we've been, you know, we got the type of connection where, like, you know, like,
this shit on the surface always rolls off the sleeve, you know
I mean, so it's like we ain't never been done crazy like that. I mean
There was a whatever was on your shoulder rolls off the sleeve. Like, that's what it's supposed to do. We didn't even know what the sound of it was, right? We just like, bro.
That's like, yo,
that reminds me of,
I don't know if he said it
with y'all or Big Boi,
or in the A-book,
he said that,
he said,
sometimes you gotta think about things
how you don't wanna think about things.
He said, what that mean?
He said, I don't know,
it just sounds weird.
It makes sense, though.
How does she feel
when you gotta do scenes
with Miss Megan?
Ugh.
Ooh.
You know, she's, um,
she's a professional, too, man.
She understands that, you know, as much as she's a professional, too, man. She understands that.
You know, as much as she's a professional, she understands that I'm a professional.
You know what I'm saying?
And it's like, and it's also great that she's been in some of those, you know, she's been
in a scene like that with me and she's been on set.
She sees how it is.
And she kind of understands that, you know, it's a muscle that you turn on and turn off.
Yeah.
So it's not even, you know, you got all type of sound people and cameras and it's like, it's way more awkward than it looks on TV turn off. Yeah. So it's not even, you know, we got all type of, all type of sound people
and cameras
and it's like,
it's way more awkward
than you,
than it looks on TV.
Right.
Even if it's a girl or not,
it's still,
it still gets that way.
How was,
how was the first time
you had to do that though?
The first sex scene
or the first love scene,
let's just say.
Like, period in life?
No, not,
I mean on film.
On film?
No, I'm saying like,
I'm saying like,
when I lost my virginity.
But you asking that, man.
You sound like it started like, Nah, cause he trying to over, cause I mean the first time is just weird. Yeah, yeah'm saying like... What you asking that, man? You sound like
it started like...
No, because he
trying to over,
because I mean,
the first time,
it's just weird.
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
You want to ask him,
he got hard?
What you want to ask him, yo?
What about your
little ass scene
in that movie?
Did you have time
to even get hard
in the scene?
No.
That's it.
Go ahead, Tyler.
That's because
I've been doing it,
you know,
with The Lord's Blessing, man, I've been doing it for a while.
So it was probably like, yeah, even a decade
ago, probably one of the first couple seasons of
Have and Have Nots. And it was definitely
very awkward. As an actor,
you kind of got to figure out
what your process is and how you break
into things and break out of it to do it
without drinking in the bag.
You know what I'm saying? For real. So it was like, you know, figuring all that out was a learning process.
But it was cool.
You know, I was on set with professionals.
And, you know, I kind of learned how to be, you know, when you're having new people come
on set, you know.
Right.
You're supposed to welcome them with open arms, have open communication.
Yeah.
Is this okay?
Is this not okay?
Right.
And that's how you kind of get through it until you figure out how to do it and be comfortable in it.
Is social media a gift and a curse?
Because you are like an internet darling, but then it's just like you see everything that y'all got going on.
Yeah.
You know?
Was that new for you?
Yeah, for sure.
You know, because I had never, I've always been like a private person.
And, you know, that's definitely one of the downsides with being in the open about anything.
It doesn't matter if it's my girl or my kids, my parents.
You know what I'm saying?
You open things up to the trolls in this world.
Right.
And it's like the one reason I feel like I've always been private.
You know, people think it's secret.
That's secrecy.
It's privacy.
Right.
And the one reason I've always been um you know private with
my private life is is you know i'm just conscious of the fact that this is the life that i chose and
everything that comes with it i'm cool with you know i'm saying my family didn't choose this
right you know so like i've always been conscious of uh i've always been conscious of you know just
just that aspect of it so when you know back to your question you know that that is that is part
of the downside with it it's like you know it's great to win in front of everybody.
But if you in front of everybody and you lose, you're going to talk about that, too.
So it's like it's just one of these things.
All right. We got more with Tyler Lepley when we come back.
So don't move. It's the Breakfast Club.
Hey, guys, I'm Kate Max.

Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, James Brown, B.B. King, Miriam Akiba. I shook up the world! podcast. Three days of music and then the boxing event. What was going on in the world at the time made this fight as important that anything else is going on on the planet.
My grandfather laid on the ropes and let George Foreman basically just punch himself out.
Welcome to Rumble, the story of a world in transformation.

And I'm Sydney.
And we're Mess.
Well, not a mess, but on our podcast called Mess, we celebrate all things messy.
But the gag is, not everything is a mess.
Sometimes it's just living.
Yeah, things like J-Lo on her third divorce.
Living. Girls' trip to Miami-Lo on her third divorce. Living.
Girl's trip to Miami. Mess.
Ozempic. Messy
skinny living.
Restaurant stealing a birthday cake.
Mess. Wait,
what flavor was the cake though? Okay, that's a good question.
Hooking up with someone in accounting
and then getting a promotion. Living.
Breaking up with your
girlfriend while on Instagram Live.
Living.
It's kind of mess.
Yeah.
Well, you get it.
Got it?
Live, love, mess.

Good morning.
Good morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club.
We got our co-host, Jess Hilarious, joining us.
And we have Tyler Lepley in the building.
How do you stay focused?
Because, you know, ladies love you, so I'm sure they're in the DMs.
I'm sure they're hollering at you.
So how do you stay focused from the beginning when you're a trainer?
Because when you think about light-skinned brothers, it's usually me, you.
What?
Who else you get?
What?
What?
Ain't nobody asking about you.
Steph Curry.
Drake.
They ain't never heard that one.
It's usually us four.
It's usually us four.
It's usually us four, yeah.
So.
I ain't never heard that.
So, back to you.
So, how do you stay focused, bro?
Yeah, again, like, internally, I'm just never too far away from the beginning, man.
I just.
So, you was never out there wiling. He was. He was back in Philly getting into the ruts. Yeah, yeah, I'm just never too far away from the beginning, man. I just, I don't know. So you was never out there wilding?
He was.
He was back in Philly getting into the ruts.
Yeah, yeah, I was.
I was wilding before, yeah.
But I think that, you know, I'm just still close to like, you know, where I started.
I just remember some of those roadblocks.
Like I couldn't figure it out.
I didn't have a passion.
I wasn't, I wasn't really good at something.
You know what I'm saying?
I was kind of just like aimless.
I was kind of lost in a sense.
So to fast forward 12 years and be so locked in,
be so passionate about something to the point where I would do it for free,
but I get paid handsomely for it and want to put the work in.
I'm just in such a blessed position.
And I also always think about that analogy of the man in the arena.
None of the problems of being in that arena really affect me
because at the end of the day, I'm in the arena. It's easy for me to focus and lock in now renaissance me a song i
didn't know you rap yeah yeah yeah just dropped something last week yeah i mean i've been doing
music as long as i've been as long as i've been acting but um you know it's just that it's acting
popped off first you know what i'm saying i've been an artist since as far back as i can remember
um they but they both their own separate beasts they're gonna come at their own time yeah but
it's like if if something doesn't happen it ain't never gonna be for you know the
lack of me not giving 100 so you know i've been dropping we just won't we're gonna keep pushing
into this pop so michael b jones gotta move over and right now yeah for sure both of them
but there's plenty of room at the table you know it's all good i'm just saying you come
all right well i gotta ask you this so your ex-fiancee um my girlfriend yeah it was my ex-girlfriend oh yeah oh okay
y'all never okay cool thank you for cleaning it up yeah so your ex-girl i remember it was something
you know going on with each other right yeah definitely know each other um miracle watts
had said something about you know like she takes on your kids it's her kids like how is that
situation now because i know that april got mad at that she got mad at that how is that now though um you know
it's it's it's a process you know it's like it's definitely better than it was yeah still got a
little way to go as much as i would not like it to be like that you know i can't rush anything
because this is you know again the problems of the man in the arena just it kind of happens like
this the one thing i will say is that again that, that's the mother of two of my children.
You know what I'm saying?
I have nothing but love and respect for her.
Absolutely.
So, you know, I give her grace and patience as she figures out what she got to feel herself through.
Right.
And, you know, it doesn't help that everything's, like you talked about,
it doesn't help that everything is in the public eye.
You know what I mean?
So, like, I kind of understand where it's coming from.
You know what I mean?
But I would want for somebody to treat my kid like that like my kid is theirs you
know yeah and you know to get back to that part it's like you know Miracle does such a great job
of just loving me for everything and yeah just just the fullness of who I am and everything that
comes with it for sure you know it brings me back to that I don't know if it was a meme or something
went viral on uh on Instagram and it was about like you know the dad came home I only got McDonald's
for his kid you know do you want that or like, you know, the dad came home, only got McDonald's for his kid. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Do you want that, or, like, do you want someone
who really loves all three, like, exactly, so.
I want my kids eating healthier than McDonald's.
You want to feed your kids McDonald's fun?
But if you can't afford it, you can't afford McDonald's.
You can only get for one, for one kid.
Yeah, that's one thing I didn't know about her.
People may not know that from the outside looking in,
because the package looks like what it looks like.
Yeah.
She is just, man, she got the biggest heart and she's really just like a a down south homegrown girl at the end of the day so she really has
everything that I need as a man for sure you're in love 100% yeah is it hard to love out loud
I guess when you have an ex like you like you know you bought you saw you bought a Benz for
for for Miracle on Instagram yeah yeah she got that G-wagon, sir.
Not just the bins, it's G-wagon, sir.
Come on now, respect for his name, sir.
Shout out to Birdman.
Are you afraid to put stuff like that out there because it might piss off the ex?
Yeah, I mean, I don't really think about it like that.
You know, she's gotten push gifts, too.
It just wasn't in front of everybody and it was at a different place in my career and stuff.
He didn't have to do you acting money at the time.
He didn't have to do you acting money at the time.
I gave her equity in the house that we had before.
So when I sold it, she had some money.
Oh, that's dope.
She done taking care of everything when we was together.
And even when we weren't, she still had a full-time nanny because she's got a job that requires her to be away for like 12 hours a day.
So even if it's not what you see on Instagram you know i provide for all of my family right you
know what i'm saying right but yeah it can be you know social media can make things challenging
scared to not scared but like can't feel a way so much like of watching what he do in this
relationship because of his past relationship you feel me like he still if you want to love loud
you know because maybe this girl is different. You know, Ava was private.
You know, Miracle's different.
So it's like you adjust.
I don't, not that you asked me that, but I'm just saying.
I don't think that you should move still because, you know.
You're a woman.
It's a woman's perspective.
Yeah, yeah.
You know, what was then was then.
This is now.
Yeah.
And there was love in both scenarios.
Most definitely.
I'm in love with Miracle now. We have a family, and this is love and there was love in both scenarios. This is just you know, I'm in love with miracle now
We have we have a family and this is this is how I'm moving
birthdays and Valentine's if you don't did the G wagon just for a push when I go my god, man, I
Was making I was making a joke my family recently like the last five months is like loaded up like everybody's birthday
Valentine's Day Christmas is like it's all
Compounded into like this five-month run so So I was like, I'm going to need them three jobs.
You said he just dropped the mixtape.
Y'all get it?
Yeah, just dropped the mixtape.
Matter of fact, yeah.
But yeah, what I give, I give out of the goodness of my heart.
I don't really take tabs of it.
It's nice.
You may get a G-Wagon one day.
You may get a conversation another day.
Some flowers or something.
I don't really pay attention to it.
You better not come in no damn conversation
for a birthday, anniversary, or Christmas.
I don't want to talk to you.
Happy Valentine's Day.
Happy Valentine's Day.
Let's have a talk.
I love how the game has changed for y'all, though,
because back in the day,
I'd say about 15 years ago,
they'd have told you, Tyler,
don't tell nobody you're in a relationship.
For sure, yeah.
You know what I mean?
These women have to feel like they can have you.
I've heard that so many times. Yeah, I have. But you know i mean these women have to feel like they can have you yeah i have but you know i've never i've never lived i've never lived for for anybody else so
you know i think it's um one thing i love about harlem that like i see this through line of people
chasing the life that that they see for themselves as opposed to the life that others see for them
you know i'm saying and i connect with that because i've always been like that so i don't
really listen to that too much yeah Yeah. Because it can be difficult.
Got you.
Last question for me.
How do you pronounce your son's name?
Zai.
Zai.
Yeah, Zai.
It's spelled X-I-L-E-I.
Oh, yeah, Zai Lei.
Lei is his middle name.
Oh, okay.
Zai Lei.
In her family, everybody got the middle name Lee.
And she wanted to do something different.
So Zai Lei.
And I kind of like how it played off of Lepley.
Zai Lei Lepley.
Yeah. Kind of sound like Scanfly.
Definitely.
Definitely. There you go. What do you want to do next, Lepley, kind of sound like Skinfly. Definitely, definitely.
What do you want to do next, Tyler?
What do you want to do next, ultimately?
I mean, you said you want to knock Michael B. Jordan up.
You want to push Drake out.
You want to get Denzel out.
You want to get all the ice kids.
No, I'm just trying to get to where they at, that's all.
No worries.
No, I think for me it's like, man, I just got to check off everything that I'm feeling,
you know what I'm saying, and not let the obstacles get in the way.
You know, I feel like in the tug of war between the heart and the mind, sometimes we overthink things and we get in our own way.
You know, so I don't.
The short answer is right now I'm producing a movie.
I got, you know, the music dropping.
We got P-Valley in Harlem, seasons three coming up.
So it's like, you know, that's going to take up most of the 12 months.
But it's like, you know, as I look into the crystal ball, you know, the sky is the limit
and I don't want to put a limit on myself, you know, because I would have never thought
in a million years when I was going through that rut that I would be sitting right here
with y'all.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, never.
Yeah.
I couldn't, I couldn't.
Bro, like, right before I came out, man, I was, I went around the room, grabbed a little
jewelry here and I was at the pawn shop.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, I didn't have, I didn't have $50 to my name.
So it's like to see where it went,
if you just follow what you're feeling,
that's what I'm on.
I'm trying to just get to, you know,
where my destiny is taking me.
That's crazy, because you a running back.
Running backs can always see the hole.
Yeah, for sure.
It's a crazy analogy, yeah, absolutely.
So you're producing a film.
You, like, holding auditions?
No, no.
I'm doing it with...
He said no, Jess.
Right.
He said that for me and you.
Me and you.
That means you don't come up there either.
I meant not yet.
No, you meant what you said.
He said no.
That can't be wrong.
He said no.
No.
No. All right, cool. All right, go ahead. Tyler Laplace, ladies and gentlemen.
We appreciate you for joining us, brother.
Man, thank y'all for taking time to have me on for real.
Oh, man.
Miracle got the roll, Jess.
Again, okay?
That was hilarious, man.
Great show.
It's the Breakfast Club with Tyler Lapley, y'all.
That was crazy.
This don't be a donkey. Because right now you on some real donkey shit.
It's time for Donkey of the Day.
So if you ever feel I need to be a donkey, man, hit me with the heel.
Did she get donkey in the name, please, Dylan?
Absolutely.
I have become Donkey of the Day.
At the Breakfast Club, bitches.
You're a donkey.
Yeah, it's donkey of the day. Goes to a 20-year-old man who was in Brazil at Carnival having big fun.
Okay, salute to everyone who has been having big fun at Carnivals all around the world.
Dropping the clues bombs for everybody at Carnivals all around the world.
I'm talking like I know what I'm speaking on, but I don't.
I just saw Nicki Minaj in Trinidad for Carnival and Ashanti.
I saw her on Instagram saying
she was upset she was missing Carnival and now
I read this story about this young man
this morning at Carnival. So I'm just assuming
it's Carnival season. I'm just assuming that.
Now Carnival looks like a lot of fun
for those of you who like going out in public
and having a lot of the public there. It's a very
public thing and one reason I try to
avoid so much of the public is because
it's hard to control that much crazy when it's that much public okay the more public
there is out the more chances of you encountering crazy and today's donkey is
absolutely crazy see this man this 20 year old was arrested for harassing
women I would think women being harassed at carnivals are very common because the
women be out there looking amazing you know dressed in their carnival garb which to me is usually a two-piece swimsuit and a lot of feathers
and you have a lot of men who can't handle being around all that okay they just straight up perverts
all right shame on those types of dudes but this man took harassment to a whole nother level okay
but i have to commend the police for being on top of the situation because when a person looks
suspicious or is acting as suspiciously as this man was he should be seized immediately and I know you can't look at a person and tell hey this
person is gonna be someone who sexually harasses women but this man wasn't hard
to identify at all see the reason this human is getting donkey of the day is
because he decided to go to carnival in Brazil dressed in a seven-foot penis
costume oh you won't see the picture let me show you the picture
nope don't want to see that picture look at the picture nope see the picture oh i mean it's a black
one you know what i'm saying and that's what pisses me off is this this is a black penis but is this a
black man no that's right he's either white or latino he's some type of other listen if you can't beat him you join him i'm not gonna have you doing that i don't like that i don't like
this white or latino or other deciding to dress in a shack size long suit okay a shack size his
size ain't that size he that size why would you say that i mean shack size i ain't talking about
his penis you finally not talking about some my opinion okay good here we go i'm sorry we on the straight path
today that's nice
i don't know what makes one want to wake up and dress as indiana bones but we live in an era
where people can wake up and identify with whatever they want to identify as and this
man dressed up as a seven foot skin flute to harass women at carnival let me tell you something
there's so much wrong with this number one one is the harassment. Number two, why you got to be a colored Chuck Dickens.
OK, y'all be knowing what y'all doing when you decide to present as a black anything, because you know how people perceive black skin all around the world, even when it's black foreskin.
OK, now you really got to go see the pictures for yourself, because not only is he presenting as a seven foot meat puppet, this this man is this man dressed as a wu-tang wang got on flip-flops you ain't see that relax
flip-flops man yo right a third leg with all his toes out yo listen i don't care what you say they
may hate us but everybody loves the black yeah i'm saying penis yes wow wow i'm on thin ice so yeah
what bothers me the most about this situation is this man really woke up and chose sexual
violence he literally woke up and said i'm gonna harass and chase women dressed as a seven foot
dark ding-a-ling okay i think the only suitable punishment is for him to be in prison, in a cell, one-on-one, with the largest penis in the penitentiary.
I think he'd love that.
You think?
I think.
I don't know.
It wouldn't be prison, though.
It'd be jail.
Go find the biggest Johnson in the joint.
I'm talking go find someone who got something that's the size of those little women from Atlanta.
And let that man get chased around a jail cell with it.
R.I.P. to Miss Minnie.
Find someone who got a P. Diddy her size
and let him go to work.
Ain't no fun when the rabbit got the custom launch, is it?
Now, you about to meet a seven-foot spank Aaron.
Batter up, young man.
That 20-year-old should have to experience
the same trauma that all those women at Carnival
had to experience because he wants to dress up
like a seven-foot weenie to poop.
All right?
Please give this 20-year from rio de janeiro of the day. Yee-haw.
Tell them just being chased and harassed is not fun.
Yeah.
Alright, being chased and harassed is not fun. I mean,
being chased
by a big black guy,
you know what I'm saying?
What's wrong with you?
He deserves that.
You should act like this doesn't just happen to you. I I'm saying but alright what's wrong with you alright he deserves that he deserves that this happens
you should act like
this didn't just happen to you
I'm just saying
like I'm just saying
those people want
to be that
if you want somebody to do it
yeah if you want somebody
to do it
cool
cool
alright
not unwanted
I don't think he woke up
and was like
you know what
I'm gonna go and harass
people with this
I think he's thinking like
they don't like what I got
so let me
give them what I don't got hoping i got so let me give them what i
don't got hoping that i can get something i'm saying that's interesting interesting pov okay
all right he's still like no thank you for that donkey today charlotte man yes indeed the breakfast
club never treated my child crazy that was just something you know that we as mothers as women
or whatever but nah it's never been that way so do you want them to take a mother type role or
you just want them just to be cool you don't gotta take them they that's what they end up doing
anyway but you don't have to take that you don't have to be over nurture like you know i'm saying
where it seems forced or if it's something that you just because he needed my son's dad has been with a lot of girls who didn't have kids, so they didn't
really even have experience and being around kids, but they tried.
They were just like, you don't really got to try to be his mother, but you have
to you have to like my child.
My child got to like you, too.
Like, let me ask you, Jess.
So, yeah, you know, when it's a younger child, they have to be motherly, right?
But what is what is your son called?
Is it like mom two?
Is it like mom two?
It'll never happen.
It'll never happen.
He better not ever call nobody else no mom.
Mom two.
Not mom two.
Mom two.
Not mom two.
Okay.
Okay.
Last day.
All right.
Yeah.
I don't care.
Mom two, three, whatever.
No.
I'm the first and only mom.
He can call them Miss whatever because you got to put a handle on it.
I don't care how young the girl, whatever is going to be Miss, whatever her name is.
Now, what about, you know, Tyler bought his Miracle or G-Wagon, right?
And I asked him, like, you know, just to keep the peace.
Do you do stuff like that for your other baby moms?
Is that expected of a
man because you think about when people get divorced you know they got to make sure that
their their exes set up the same way they're set up i think they should you know yeah i'm gonna
tell you why because you don't want your one kid to be driving in a g63 g wagon and that's 180
thousand dollars and the other kid to be driving in a a ford escort what is wrong for that look yo
that's that's listen man why would you say that word up you know if you listen to a ford escort what is wrong for that look yo that's that's what listen man why would
you say that word up what about us in ford escort say a prius okay yeah yeah yeah that's better i
want one nah not not if my brother got a g63 that's what i'm saying i'm pulling up yeah i
get what you're saying i'm pulling up in that no do you have so you're saying you have to do that
if you got if i got an ex and she got kids
of mine she got to be riding the same way my new woman is riding i don't agree with that i don't
know what envy is saying over there but i i don't i don't think that i don't think that i think
whatever i do for my kids all right cool i don't i shouldn't have to be responsible for what you
got going on after me like i'm in a new relationship my responsibility is my kids
and me protecting them.
But the kids going to still be in the Prius.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
The kids going to, your kids going to be in the Prius.
As long as they not drop, they in the back.
It's about the person driving.
You in the back, so you good.
You don't got no bills.
You ain't got nothing to worry about.
You still on four wheels.
I'm not saying you got to have another Mercedes, but give me something that the kids feel comfortable
in and not making fun of.
Listen, we grew up different, whatever.
But he didn't buy the kids a G-Wagon he bought miracle a g-wagon yeah the baby wasn't even the baby gonna be in the g-wagon baby don't know nothing about no g-wagon that's true it ain't
that your kids know it like your son is in fifth grade he knows the difference between the g-wagon
and the prius i'm telling you my kids and all right yo listen i don't. Listen, I don't care. I said what I said.
That's it.
All right, let's go to the phone line.
Jess's son definitely know the difference between a G-Wagon and a Prius.
I know, that ain't the point.
I gave that man $300 for his birthday.
He ain't want that.
No, shut up.
I have a G-Wagon, and I also have, I forgot the name, whatever my other Benz is.
I got both of them, right?
Shut up, dad, shut up.
Shut up.
But my baby father,
he got a nice little Acura.
You know what I'm saying?
So we showing my son the best of both worlds.
You know what I'm saying?
Tyler, little kids,
they gonna know the best of both.
That's it.
That's it.
Man, he's so stupid.
Hello, who's this?
Hi, this is Cupcake.
Hey, good morning.
Hey, good morning.
Hey, Jack.
Bitch, I love you.
I love you too, baby.
What's your thoughts, mama?
What do you think?
Well, yeah.
I'm a baby mother.
So I feel like it's very important for whoever my daughter's father with to treat her exactly how I would treat her.
You know, I want her to feel like she got two moms.
You know, it's important.
However, that is not her experience.
You say that's not your experience?
No.
The woman is just, like, so jealous of my child,
I don't understand it.
Like, she started dating my daughter's father
when I was pregnant, and I came to her
when the baby was born, like, girl, I'm her mother,
you're her man, let's come together bring
it in like a family and it definitely didn't go down that way and my daughter is now seven and
we still deal with that see this is a good example of maybe you should treat both like the baby
daddy should probably treat both of them the same like you buy one of three years you gotta buy
another one of three years yes yes and like he started to realize that like you have to be there
for your baby mother no matter what.
Because at the end of the day, we have a common.
And it's that baby that's going to do everything.
You were still pregnant and he had a new girlfriend.
That, yeah, I don't know.
That's how things happen like that.
Because my baby father's been in that situation, too.
But it is different.
Shorty felt the way because he was having a, that's what hurt her.
She was having a baby.
The baby wasn't even here yet. And then, and so she probably felt the way. Because was having a death on her though. She was having a baby. The baby wasn't even here yet.
And so she probably felt the way
because honestly... Is this breaking news?
Is this something we never heard?
She's talking about the last caller.
Yeah, the girl you hung up on.
Yeah, like
that's different.
The girl, she met the guy and his
baby mother was still pregnant. They broke up
while she was pregnant. So she probably
still was like...
She mad.
He could go back with her anytime.
Their baby is so fresh and so new.
Yeah.
You know, so that's different.
All right.
800-585-1051.
What are your thoughts?
If you buy your new baby mom or your new fiance a G-Wagon, let's say, you know, is it your
right?
Are you supposed to buy the old baby mom something comparable?
So your kids could be driving in a comparable type of car and the same lifestyle.
Yes.
And do you want someone to treat your kids like they're their own as well?
All right.
Let's talk about it.
It's the breakfast.
Hey, guys.
I'm Kate Max.

Historical Records brings history to life through hip hop.
Each episode is about a different inspiring figure from history.
Like this one about Claudette Colvin, a 15-year-old girl in Alabama who refused to give up her seat on the city bus nine whole months before Rosa Parks did the same thing.
Check it. Did you know, did you know, I wouldn't give up my seat. Nine months before Rosa, it was called a moment.
Get the kids in your life excited about history by tuning in to Historical Records.
Because in order to make history, you have to make some noise.

know that april got mad at that she got mad at that how is that now though um you know it's it's
it's a process you know it's like it's definitely better than it was yeah still got a little way to
go as much as i would not like it to be like that you know i can't rush anything
because this is you know again the problems of the man in the arena it just it kind of happens
like this the one thing i will say is that again that's that's the mother of two of my children
you know i have nothing but love and respect for her so you know i give her grace and patience as
she as she figures out what she got to feel herself through. But I would want for somebody to treat my kid like my kid is theirs.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, for sure.
So we're asking 800-585-1051.
You know, if you buy your fiance something,
are you supposed to take care of your baby moms the same way?
And also, do you want your fiance to, you know,
look at your other kids the same way as they look at your kids?
That's the question we're asking, correct?
Hello, who's this?
This is Shaquana. Hey, Shaquana.
Hey, guys. Good morning.
Yes! What? Right here!
I knew I had you on.
It got so bad, but she already sounded like she mad. Hey, right?
Shaquana. Shaquana. Good morning, Shaquana.
It's Shaquana.
I'm just messing with you. Don't play with her.
Don't play with her. Don't play with her. What play with her Don't play with her What's your thoughts mama?
Honestly I just want to weigh in
And say
It depends on how long
You've been with the person
Because
I have an ex
Who would take our kids
Around his girlfriend
He just met like a week ago
And I feel that's something
You shouldn't do
But if you're serious
With the person
And you know
You feel like you got
A future with them
I mean I see nothing wrong
With it but On the stand still There's a lot of crazy people In the world And you know, you feel like you got a future with them. I mean, I see nothing wrong with it, but on the standstill,
there's a lot of crazy people
in the world.
Yeah.
And you gotta be cautious
because a lot of people
harming kids
and doing crazy things
to kids.
So,
that's where I'm with it.
Like,
if you think you're gonna
be with that person long term
and you dating for a minute
and you get to know each other,
you're talking about y'all kids,
okay.
But,
on your first date,
you're not taking the kids
to Chuck E. Cheese to play together because y'all won't got kids.
I agree.
Right.
I agree.
I agree.
You can't be bringing anybody around your chair.
Yeah, that's what she's saying.
That's what she's saying.
But I do believe that if I got kids and you got kids and we ain't got no babysitters, we want to see each other bad enough.
Yeah, let's meet up at Chuck E. Cheese's.
Hello, who's this?
Hello?
Hello.
Hey, what's your name?
Monica.
Hey, Monica, good morning.
Good morning.
What's your thoughts, mama?
My thoughts are
I do not date with men.
I don't date men for kids for that reason.
If I can't let my kids go over to the other parent, I don't feel comfortable.
Then it's not.
Like, how am I going to feel comfortable with my kid going to see his other parent if I don't like or get along with the other person?
Now, is that bitter?
But let me ask you this, Monica.
Is that because you're bitter?
Or is that because he ever given you any type of, like, yo, I'm going to put my son in jeopardy or put my kid in jeopardy
like is he that you got to know the other parents too are they ever gonna bring somebody that you
don't like around your kid that's gonna do something to your kid is that bitter or is that
just how you feel no that's not bitter i think it's just that as a mother yeah i'm gonna speak
for the mother point of view as a mother you have to feel comfortable if you're not comfortable with
the man choosing the right mate it it's not ever going to work.
So I would think that maybe me and the girl would have to talk.
I would be mature enough to be like, let me talk to the girl.
And if I'm feeling her and I like her, then yeah, you can go for it.
But listen, Jess.
Yes?
You must, and I'm talking about you, have to stay the permanent co-host on the show.
I've been crying all week.
Yo, this is the funniest show ever been in my life.
Charlamagne is at his best with you.
Thank you so much, girl.
I agree with everything you said.
Why'd you just stand up to do that?
Because I had to.
I had to, and I think I dressed the best one here out of everybody that I saw.
Thank you so much, baby.
I already told you.
She get the permanent role.
I guarantee you she won't be coming here like she hosting no award show every day.
I guarantee you it'll be sweatsuits within two months.
And some sneakers.
It's all right.
So what's the moral of the story?
What is the moral of the story?
Jessica, you've been co-parenting very well for a pretty long time now.
Oh, man.
The moral of the story is, all right, so look. What she said, which is also a part of the moral of the story, Jessica? You've been co-parenting very well for a pretty long time now. Oh, man. The moral of the story is, all right, so look, what she said, which is also a part of the
moral, you still cannot say, because she said, if you don't trust the other parent to date
somebody, that's still, in a sense, controlling.
You don't know who they're going to date.
They dated you.
So if you're going off of their past, then you've got to include yourself like you can't just say and that's not do you
monica but i'm just saying like it's just period you can't control who some of you who are you to
say like oh hey i don't like the way he date i don't you don't until you get to know somebody
but i like how she ended it if we have a conversation like you're going to be around
my child this is who i am this is you whatever. So the moral of the story is you do not.
I don't think you have to.
You're not responsible for your ex.
You're responsible for your kids.
I think that's what that is.
Oh, that terrifies me.
No, that makes sense.
You're not responsible for your ex.
You're responsible for your kids.
You're not.
Yeah, you're not.
You're not responsible.
Like I said, my son's dad has five kids with five different women.
After he moved on, he take care of his bomb father, take care of his kids.
I don't try to support no more for none of them.
No more.
Yeah.
But he is not responsible for their mothers.
Right.
None of that.
It's different in a marriage because the divorce, you got to settle.
You get this.
I get this.
Whatever.
But girlfriend, boyfriend, yo, if it's not about my child
yo I'm in my relationship
I'm good
but let me ask you this Jess
what's good
let's say you move on
and now that one child
lives a different life
than those other four kids
how do you think
those other four kids will feel
like you know what I mean
like that one kid
he gets
you know he gets to
go to the football games
he gets to go to this
because he's with
the father all day long
in that house.
Don't you feel like all the kids should have that same love and that same feeling?
But that's what I'm saying.
What the ex got to do with that?
I'm going to go pick my kid up, and I'm going to take you with the rest of my kids.
We're with daddy.
It ain't I'm going to pick you and the baby mother up.
No, I'm picking my – I'm going to get all my kids together just like Rome do it,
just like my son's dad does
it he don't do nothing without his other kids or if he got his girls it's girls day and boys boys
day then he got days where he get all of them so he does i don't know how nick can it do it but my
baby father do it do it basically what jess is saying she only buying mcdonald's for her son
she ain't buying mcdonald's for the rest of the wrong kids it's the breakfast club good morning the breakfast club

A 15 year old girl in Alabama
Who refused to give up her seat on the city bus
Nine whole months before Rosa Parks did the same thing
