The Breakfast Club! The Breakfast Club! The Breakfast Club! The Breakfast Club! The Breakfast Club! Good morning, USA! Yes, it's Wednesday hump day, middle of the week. Let me see if I can get my headphones to goddamn work. My goodness.
Yes, yesterday, you know, Adjua Styles and Styles P were on the show,
and then we had them at the Angela Yee Book Club.
That's dope.
My first official one of 2020.
Adjua has her book out, The Ethereal Hike.
As you know, the first time they came on the show to talk about their daughter
passing away from committing suicide was up here on The Breakfast Club.
So now she has a book out that kind of details her relationship with her daughter.
It was very therapeutic for her to write it.
And I'm sure it will be something that's helpful for other people to read as well.
And they are going to be on Marist Boot Camp.
Okay. All right.
Well, I was, me and my wife, of course, have a podcast called The KC Crew.
We never videotape it.
And the reason we never do is I just don't have the time to deal
with my wife when it's time to get ready. I just like to
turn over in bed and record it from bed.
So we started recording. Y'all do it from the bed? Yeah, we do it
from our bed. Oh. Yeah, we got the mics and everything
set up, so we just plug in and do it right from the bed.
So we started recording, so we built a
set out in Jersey, and
we have a set, and we taped a bunch of shows last
night, a bunch of guests.
So you bring a bunch of different people in your bed? No, I built a set, and we taped a bunch of shows last night, a bunch of guests. So you bring a bunch of different people in your bed?
No.
They said they built a set.
They built a set in Jersey now.
Oh, okay, okay, okay.
So now we can actually do it.
And we got a couple of offers to do some bigger things.
So we had to create a set.
There's no longer can we do it in our bed.
So we did a bunch of that last night.
We taped a couple of episodes last night.
Offers to do some bigger things.
What are those bigger things, sir?
On television.
Yo, you've been kinky.
I asked you, what's wrong with you?
Let me tell you guys, right?
Yo, your mind shouldn't go there.
No, you're kinky.
Let me tell you guys, so...
Why does your mind go there?
So, Angelique broke my card,
so I can't swipe the card to get in the building anymore, right?
I didn't break your card.
It was already broken.
You broke it.
So, I'm downstairs, and I'm like,
hey, can somebody grab me?
Stop the music.
Charlamagne replies,
what type of grab do you want?
I didn't say that.
You didn't say that?
What did you say?
I said what kind of grab
Okay
Stop the music again
What kind of grab?
I didn't say it like that
I text you
How do you read that in a text?
That's how I read it
No it meant like
Yo do you need somebody
To come get you right now
Right now
You know
Or just right now
Are you in trouble?
See nah nah
What kind of grab?
What did you mean?
Stop the music was
What kind of grab?
That's what it was
That's how I took it.
That's how I heard it.
That's what I heard.
Y'all should have brought y'all asses to Miss Anita's retirement party last night.
I went there.
I went to Miss Anita's party and it took me so long because I had to drive there and then
I had my book club.
So I came early.
Miss Anita is a rock star.
Shout out to Miss Anita.
I definitely went to Miss Anita's retirement party.
The good thing is though, she's retired, but she still is going to be temping and filling
in.
That's only because they can't find anybody
to replace her. They'll never find anybody to replace
Miss Anita. Yeah, like I said last night. So I still get
to see her. Yes. Like I said last night,
whoever that person is,
we're just not going to like you as much as we like Miss Anita.
It's just not going to happen. That's the truth.
Her shoes are way too big to fill.
Okay? And you got to come in here and try to be
yourself, you know? But I'm just letting you
know right now, yourself is not going to be good enough.
That's just how good Miss Anita was.
Absolutely.
Okay?
And is as a human being.
I'm telling you,
if she makes Chick-fil-A workers look like devil worshipers,
that's just, she just has it.
It's just, she's an angel.
I don't know what to tell you.
I know it seems like he's throwing a lot of sauce on it,
but no, he's telling the truth.
No.
I've never seen her in a bad mood ever.
And she finds a way to make
everybody else feel good.
You know, and that says a lot. She's always pouring
in other people's cups. I'm like, damn, who's pouring
in Miss Anita's cups? It was just good to see
her get the love that she's been getting
the past couple weeks. She was a celebrity
rock star last night. There was like a long line
to take a picture with her. She deserves it.
It was a packed party. That's how you go
out. That's how you go out. That's how you go out.
That's how you go out.
You go out with Will Smith
posting you on your Instagram.
Hey, Mark Lawrence.
Mark Lawrence posting you
on your Instagram.
That going viral.
And then, you know,
your people who've always
loved you celebrating you
the way that we did last night.
So drop on the Clues box
for Miss Anita Scipio.
There you go.
We shall keep the spirit
of Scipio alive
in this building,
God damn it.
That's right.
Now, Bresha Webb will be joining us this morning.
That's my folks.
I love Bresha, man.
She's an actress, and you might know her.
What's the flick coming out this Friday?
A Fall from Grace.
A Fall from Grace.
It's a new Tyler Perry movie on Netflix, and she's one of the stars of it, along with Felicia Rashad.
I think Cicely Tyson's in that movie as well.
But Bresha got a lot going on.
Bresha's one of those people who, I don't want to say she's up next because it's like she's now.
Yeah, she is now.
She's still kind of up next too as well.
You can say she's now.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
All right, so we'll kick it with Bresha.
Then we got front page news.
What are we talking about, Yee?
Well, also last night was the Democratic debate in Iowa, and we'll give you some of those highlights.
All right, we'll get to that next.
Keep it locked.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ, MV, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Let me shout out to Steven.
Steven is the cameraman up here.
Yesterday was his dog's birthday.
He had a little cupcake with a candle for his dog, man.
He had a little celebration, just him and his dog, man.
What's wrong with your mic, man?
The wire broke, and I want in on this.
Steven, the white demon, okay? He wire broke, and I want in on this. Oh, there you go. Steven the White Demon, okay?
He was so happy for his dog's birthday.
I literally thought it was some girl he was dating birthday,
the way he was talking until I realized he was talking about his dog.
It kind of is.
But anyway, let's get in some front page news.
Now, I've been running around all day long.
Do you know what's going on with the Astros?
I know they said they were cheating.
What happened?
Do you know, Money Gems?
No, I really don't know.
Damn it, man.
I know it has something to do with the Mets now, too, cheating.
I don't know.
Okay, I'll figure it out.
I got to read some more about it.
All I know is the Yankees, right?
Baseball is better when the players and the teams are cheating.
No, it's not fair.
Yes, it is.
It's not fair.
Yes, it is.
When everybody was on steroids, the league was much better.
I like the fact that these guys cheat.
And Bun B, you don't get that Bun B if you're Houston Astros
cheater.
You don't get that one.
I wish my sports team
would cheat.
My Dallas Cowboys
been playing fair
for the past 20 years
and where's that guy?
She be that goddamn.
All right.
I'm sued to the Astros.
All right.
What were you talking
about this morning?
Well, let's talk about
the Democratic debate
that happened in Iowa
and we'll give you
some of the highlights.
As you know,
Elizabeth Warren
has been stating
that she had a meeting
with Bernie Sanders and Bernie Sanders said that a woman couldn't win. Well, here's what
happened on that stage. Bernie is my friend and I am not here to try to fight with Bernie. But look,
this question about whether or not a woman can be president has been raised and it's time for us to
attack it. And I think the best way to talk about who can win is by looking at people's winning record.
So can a woman beat Donald Trump?
Look at the men on this stage.
Collectively, they have lost 10 elections.
The only people on this stage who have won every single election that they've been in are the women.
Amy and me.
I'm going to tell you why that was such a misleading statement.
No woman has ever been president.
So, yes, you've won elections, but you've never won a presidential election.
No woman has ever won a presidential election.
Well, there's only six people left.
As you know, this is the smallest of the debates thus far.
And here is what Bernie Sanders has to say in his defense.
Well, as a matter of fact, I didn't say it.
And I don't want to waste a whole lot of time on this because this is what Donald Trump and maybe some of the media want.
Anybody knows me knows that it's incomprehensible that I would think that a woman could not be
president of the United States. Go to YouTube today. There's a video of me 30 years ago talking
about how a woman could become president of the United States. Hillary Clinton won
the popular vote by
3 million votes. How could
anybody in a million years not
believe that a woman could become president
of the United States? And I think Elizabeth Warren
was talking about any election, not just presidential
election. Yeah, but we're talking about the presidential election.
That's what she meant when she said it. But Bernie had a good point.
I mean, Hillary did win the popular vote.
Hillary did win the popular vote, Hillary did win the popular vote.
But the problem with this whole thing is until y'all pass some type of election security bill to make sure there's no Russian interference this year or interference from any foreign country,
none of y'all stand a chance.
Now here's Mayor Pete talking about his lack of black support.
The black voters who know me best are supporting me.
Now, the biggest mistake we could make is to take black votes for granted,
and I never will. It's because of the work that we have done facing some of the toughest issues
that communities can. Issues from poverty to justice in policing. I'm proud to say we've
been nationally recognized for our work as a race-informed city on delivering greater
economic justice. That we have reduced use of force by
leading the region in transparency of course there is a much longer way to go but i will be a president
whose personal commitment is to continue doing this work all right so that is just some highlights
that we can get to right now and also just to put it out there today is the day the house is going
to deliver articles of impeachment against Donald Trump to the Senate.
So just letting you know, we'll get more into that in the next Front Page News.
I was going to say, you know what Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, the crazy thing about it is they were friends.
And she popped out and said, no, you said that women can never be president.
She didn't say that. They said people around her said that.
Yeah, but at the end of it, they said that he reached out to give her a handshake and she denied the handshake.
And they had like a tough conversation. So I don't even know if they're friends or how it goes from there. But they said that he reached out to give her a handshake, and she denied the handshake, and they had a tough conversation.
So I don't even know if they're friends or how it goes from there.
They said it on stage that they're still friends.
Last night she said they were friends.
I'm going to be honest with you.
I went to sleep last night because the Dems debate was way too white for me.
And maybe I'm just feeling salty because, you know,
less than three and a half years after having the first black president,
there's no black people on the stage.
You've got a billionaire and a bunch of white folks.
I didn't appreciate that.
All right.
Personally.
Get it off your chest.

Everybody's doing it.
I am King Ernest Emmanuel.

I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg.
I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia.
Be part of a great colonial tradition.
The Waikana tribe owned country.
My forefathers did that themselves.
What could go wrong?
No country willingly gives up their territory.
I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead.
Oh my god.
What is that?
Bullets.

As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you.
Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her dreams.
I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves.
For self-preservation and protection, it was literally
that step by step. And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment
of small, determined moments. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love.
I forgive myself. It's okay grace have grace for yourself you're
trying your best and you're gonna figure out the rhythm of this thing alicia keys like you've never
heard her before listen to on purpose with jay shetty on the iheart radio app apple podcasts
or wherever you get your podcasts
this is your time to get it off your chest, whether you're mad or blessed.
So you better have the same energy.
We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club.
Hello, who's this?
It's Charles, man, from New York.
Charles, what up, man?
Get it off your chest, bro.
Real quick, man, like I was telling your sister, I don't take nothing from the power of a woman, but it kind of scares me to see
a woman in office
because I really don't know
their objective. Is it to
fix the problems that we have now
or to try
to elevate and
push more for
a woman's movement?
What's wrong with the women's movement?
No, there's nothing wrong with it. I'm not trying to say there What's wrong with the woman's movement? No, there's nothing wrong with it.
I'm not trying to say there's nothing wrong with it,
but are you going to fix the problems
that are going on right now, or
are you going to go in the office talking a good game,
and then when you get in the office, it's more
of a me too, like, oh.
You wouldn't be worried about what
anybody would do in office, just what a woman would do
because you're concerned that she might be pushing.
No, okay, but over the past
couple months and years,
y'all went from the Me Too movement
to Hot Girl Summer, so y'all kind of shaky.
You're not really talking.
You know you can say that you're
not allowed to
sexually assault women and harass
women and rape women.
How do you go from Me Too?
And also have a Hot Girl movement because...
A month later, you go from down also have a hot girl movement because.
A month later, you go from down near butt ass naked knee tube movement.
So do you want to be touched?
So you're saying if a woman is naked, that means that you have the right to touch her?
This is good.
Let's go to the Instagram models.
OK.
Or the singers or the actors.
I don't think any Instagram models. No, let them go.
I like to see people die on hills.
What are you doing?
Do you know what hot girl summer means?
Hot boy naked trying to get...
Man, you trying to...
It's just a bad...
It's a bad look.
I just want to let you know that if you think that because a woman is half naked,
that means you have the right to touch her or she's asking for something,
then you have a problem.
I did not say that.
No, I did not say that.
So what are you saying?
I'm confused. I love the fact that you think, I did not say that. So what are you saying? I'm confused.
I love the fact that you think that Elizabeth Warren is participating in the hot girl summit.
That's what I took from you.
The fact that you think politics is...
And you know, one of the problems that we do have that does need to be fixed is people that think like you.
So hopefully a woman does make it.
All right.
Hello, who's this?
Hey, what's going on?
It's Pierre.
Hey, what's up?
Wow, I got through. Hey, what's up, man? Get off your chest. Man. Okay, so's this? Hey, what's going on? It's Pierre. Hey, what's up? Wow, I got through.
Hey, what's up, man?
Get off your chest.
Man, okay, so here you go, man.
I went out to buy a crib out in Maryville, Indiana, man,
and my earnest money, they took it.
Wait, what?
They literally took it.
They actually took my earnest money.
So what it was was the property was going for $165,000,
and there was some problems going on with the building.
So I asked them to stay safe by a licensed contractor.
They chose not to do it.
And so I chose not to go through with the deal.
And after that, they just basically told me, hey, if I wanted my earnest money, I need to go to court.
Tomorrow I claim court and get it.
Don't you have an attorney?
Nope.
I didn't get no attorney because I felt like I wanted to.
This is my first time buying a house,
so I feel like I wanted the house.
It was in the right neighborhood
and all that stuff, so.
But then you backed out.
I just gave him $1,500 on the money,
and yeah, I backed out or whatever,
but they just took my earnest money,
and now I'm back trying to fight
and get my earnest money, so.
They seen you coming without an attorney, man.
No matter whatever, for now or whatever,
anything you do in real estate, anything you do,
you always have an attorney watch your back.
Now, an attorney probably would have cost you probably
$350 to $500 to do that deal,
but you would have saved your $1,000.
Would they would have saved
with the deal? Like, is there something that
would have been by my side all the way?
I don't trust attorneys, really.
You don't trust attorneys.
Somebody got to read your paperwork, bro.
Somebody got to read the paperwork, got to make sure things are right just for this situation right here so you don't lose your money, bro.
Yeah, I know.
Yeah, I know.
Definitely know.
Hey, it was good talking to you guys, though.
I just wanted to get it off my chest.
I'm surprised I made through, man.
Hey, I love you guys.
All right, sorry, bro.
It's great that you can laugh about losing the money.
Yeah, I'd be pissed to F off, man. Hey, I love you guys. All right. Sorry, bro. You can laugh about losing the money. Yeah. I'll be pissed to F off,
man.
I see what you're talking about now too,
with the,
uh,
Bernie Sanders,
Elizabeth Warren thing.
Cause Neville Warren is the number two trending hashtag because apparently she didn't shake
her,
shake his hand.
That's what I said.
That was the biggest moment.
I said,
after the event,
he went to shake her hand.
They are killing Elizabeth Warren.
They're calling her a liar and a snake and saying that in
2015 Bernie said she should run for
president but now five years
later four anonymous people
say Bernie said she couldn't win and she's
running with it. They are killing her.

What's up?
Yeah, I was telling the lady before,
what really gets me mad,
every time I DM Angela Lee,
she never answers my DM.
And I've been trying for like two, three years now,
and it like really gets me mad.
She getting you tight?
Yeah, I'm tight, yo.
I don't get the red or anything.
She just like dubs me.
Well, where do you,
are you DMing me where?
On Instagram?
Yeah, I be hitting you up on Instagram.
Do I follow you?
Nah, you don't follow me.
Oh, so maybe I'm just not seeing it.
I don't know, man.
I've been trying.
I do like 15 DMs.
All right, so what are you DMing me so now you can say it?
Well, now I'm shy now.
You got me on the spot.
Now, if you check my DM, it's Mr. Papers is my Instagram.
If you check it.
Nah, nah, nah.
We want to know.
What is it?
She getting you tight.
Now you loose and you don't got nothing to say.
You know what I meant to tell you?
What happened?
What happened?
All right, let's go to another caller.
I love New Yorkers when they be like, yo, she getting me tight.
Hello, who's this?
Yeah, this is Rick, man, from West Michigan.
What's happening?
What's up, bro?
Get off your chest.
Bro, I'm sick of waking up late, bro.
I'm sick of that shit, man.
It's getting on my nerves, man. I've been trying to get to, I'm sick of waking up late. Bro, I'm sick of that s***, man. It's getting on my nerves, man.
I've been trying to get to work on time.
Stop waking up late.
Charlamagne made me early the last week, two weeks.
And we wasn't even here last week.
So if he can do it, you can do it.
Bro, that s*** is not easy, especially coming to a job full of mayonnaise.
Hey, look, I'm the only brother in the trade of tool and dye out here in West Michigan.
Well, you can't be late then.
You representing.
Hey, I'm trying.
No, this s*** is not easy.
Stop cursing.
We're going to be some type of way.
It's never easy to get up out of bed and go to work, especially a job that you don't really want to be at.
So I understand.
Stop cursing.
You know what I mean?
But hey, all right.
Hey, it's fun though.
It's fun.
The job is fun.
The environment is difficult. What do you do? I'm a tool and dye maker. I'm's fun, though. It's fun. The job is fun. The environment is difficult.
What do you do?
I'm a tool and die maker.
I'm an apprentice, man.
I'm a deep-drawn metal stamping apprentice.
Okay.
What do you want us to do?
Sound like you're late for work right now.
What do you need to get off this phone?
We all trying to get focused in here this morning, too.
I'm drinking my green tea right now.
I'm having a smoothie.
I'll be ready to work by 930.
I thought you said don't be at a day. Hello? No ready to work by 9.30. I probably get the dump the other day.
Hello?
No, I was just playing.
Who's this?
This is Brandon.
I'm calling from West Haven, Connecticut.
What's up, man?
Get it off your chest.
All right.
So basically I heard about a topic where I was talking about,
well, I told you, I guess, what was like the most sexual thing I told a girl.
What? I guess. The most sexual thing I told a girl? What?
I guess.
The most sexual thing you told a girl?
What was the most sexual thing a guy told her?
I guess it was for what a guy to say that what he told a girl, I guess.
I don't know what you told her.
I don't remember that topic.
Me neither.
Go ahead.
Go ahead.
Say what you got to say.
Well, I told a girl that she should bend over and then I should put my leg over her butt and then ride her.
Okay, you flexible.
All right.
I'm definitely going to human resources with that one, bro.
Because I'm going to try to see if I can get in my backseat when I'm homeless and running these girls like a track meet.
Fart on his bars, please.
I think he made up a whole story.
Give him a little ass
gas for those weak-ass bars.
Start using that to
slip in your little whack rap career.
I was like, what is he talking about? Get it off your
chest. 805-85-1051.
We got rumors on the way, Yee?
Man, now this clip was circulating
yesterday. Apparently, comedian
Brad Williams told the story,
and that story is a confession of
alleged rape. Oh, boy.
All right, we'll get into that next. Keep it locked. It's
The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ MV, Angela
Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club.
Let's get to the rumors. Let's talk a power spinoff.
It's about time.
What's going on?
Rumor Report. Rumor Report.
This is the Rumor Report.
With Angela Yee on The Breakfast
Club.
Alright, so they have just reported
that the power spinoff that's coming,
Power Book 2, we already
know it stars Mary J. Blige. Well, now they're
saying that Method Man has been added
to the cast. Always like a Meff and
Mary combo. That's dope. He's going to
portray ambitious and savvy attorney
Davis McLean in that
series. So, I guess we're getting more
information. Did you all watch Power on Sunday?
Of course, I watched Power on Sunday. I didn't see it this Sunday.
I definitely watched it. I will say
this though, Meff is a very, very
underrated actor. I think so.
I think Meff bodies damn near every role he plays.
Mef is very good on screen, whether it's film or television.
And I would love to see him play Bishop in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
All right.
Now, Timbaland has dropped 130 pounds.
And that's because he had a painkiller addiction.
He admitted that.
And he said that he gained all this weight due to unhealthy eating habits and becoming addicted to perks.
He was taking the prescription pills for a root canal back in 2011.
Then he had his divorce going on.
He had an IRS investigation into his taxes.
All of those things, he said, contributed to his unhealthy lifestyle.
According to Timbaland, he told Men's Health,
The pills put me in a great feeling of not caring, of just being free.
I'm like traveling, doing shows, popping them, having fun,
just being ignorant.
And at his heaviest, he weighed 350 pounds.
Wow. Yeah, me and Timbaland had a conversation
about that. He told me that before,
but after he saw the Meek Mill interview and saw Meek say
that he used to take 10 percs a day, he was telling me about his addiction
to prescription medication.
And what I want more artists to do
is we really got to start talking about
how you kick the habit.
Because a lot of people are like, oh, I quit.
And I'm like, I don't think it's that easy.
You know, because you got to go through withdrawals and all of that other type of stuff.
Like, I would really like to know what steps are they taking to really kick the habit.
Yeah, some people try to do it on their own.
And then I know some people will actually go to a doctor and then they have this whole weekend detox that you have to do.
And it's really a tough thing to do.
Because it's a real withdrawal.
You're shaking.
You're sweating.
You're sick.
You're throwing up.
Like you said, you got to talk about that.
Because a lot of people hear it in the songs and think it's cool.
But they don't understand how to get off of it.
Especially when you see somebody die.
And every time somebody dies, you see these rappers say,
I'm about to stop doing lean.
I'm about to stop doing these pills.
How?
It's not that easy. You're going to go
to withdrawals. It's not that easy just to quit drugs.
Alright, now let's talk about the Grammys.
Demi Lovato will be performing
for the first time since her overdose.
So that's good news for her. She said, I told you
the next time you'd hear from me, I'd be singing.
Grammys, Recording Academy at CBS.
So she has shared that she will be
performing. Now,
another iconic performance, Aerosmith will be performing, right?
They're doing a medley of their hits, but Run DMC is going to join them for a performance of Walk This Way.
You just said, like, you made it big.
Well, Aerosmith is huge, by the way.
I do love Aerosmith.
I like the Run DMC part.
As a matter of fact, I was at the iHeart Music Awards, and I saw Steven Tyler.
He was in the green room waiting area with me,
and I was like, oh, this is exciting.
Look, it's Steven Tyler.
At one point, he wanted to do a hip-hop album.
I'm glad he did.
It's definitely a cultural thing.
I mean, Aerosmith is huge.
There's no doubt, but I just don't care about them.
But you care about Walk This Way.
We run DMC.
We run DMC, yes.
All right, now let's discuss...
Look at Steve making faces.
...comedian Brad Williams.
So this audio has leaked and this is from the Doug Benson podcast show Getting Doug.
And what comedian is this? What's his name again?
His name is Brad Williams.
OK.
And it's a clip from 2014 that has now started circulating.
And he talks about a non-consensual experience, an alleged experience with a woman while on tour with Carlos Mencia.
Here's what he said.
We were on a tour bus together,
and this girl was on the bus
and just really wanted to sleep with Carlos.
So she's in the back, and Mencia's married.
He's not going to do anything.
So he turned off all the lights
and then sent me in.
And then I started hooking up with the girl.
And it went for a good 15 minutes
before she realized that,
huh, I mean, Mencia's tiny,
but he shouldn't have stubby arms like that.
And then finally she realized
that she was having sex with me.
That's kind of,
I feel like that's like a rape story.
That's not the technical sense.
I think technically it is.
It definitely is.
And now he's on the show Degenerates, by the way, on Netflix.
And so people have been asking Netflix to remove him as a cast member from the show.
Since then, however, he has posted this on Twitter.
He said, hello, everyone.
Recently, a podcast Getting Doug with High I did years ago as a younger, more inexperienced comedian has resurfaced.
On the podcast, guests get high, talk, and answer questions.
A question was asked of me to describe a crazy story that happened on the road.
I didn't have any crazy stories, but I didn't want to say no,
as this is a very popular podcast, and I wanted to be funny,
so I made up a story on the spot to try and be entertaining.
Unfortunately, the story was not funny at all
and made light of an incredibly serious topic.
I understand that people were offended, and right rightfully so by me joking about such material.
And I want to take this opportunity to let you know that I regret what I said and apologize
for the content of the story.
But I want to emphasize that it was just a story that I made up.
It was an unfunny, horrible fabrication.
And the actions described in this story never happened.
I mean, he probably did make it up.
I don't know.
But I think that culturally those conversations do need to happen, and the reason
I think they need to happen is so they aren't repeated
because situations like that were so
common in America once upon a time, so much
so that they ended up in movies like in the 70s
and 80s. Yeah, a lot of TV
and films condone that exact kind of rape
culture. Like that scenario that he
described, that was in Revenge of the Nerds
when the nerds stole the jock's costume and had
sex with the jock's girlfriend.
You know what I mean? On 16 Candles when the dude's girlfriend
got drunk and he says, I could violate her
10 different ways and then he passes her off to the young
boy and she didn't know who she was with and the young boy
had sex with her. So it's like, yeah,
those conversations need to
happen so that behavior isn't repeated.
If that didn't happen, what's the funny in it?
Like, why that story? That's not funny.
Well, listen, he might have grew up
on that 70s and 80s,
you know, type of humor.
Because that was considered humor back in those films
back then. So maybe he grew up off that, but he was
trying to be funny. Alright, well, that
is your rumor report. I'm Angela Yee.
Alright, thank you, Missy. Now, front page news, what are we
talking about? We are going to talk about
Donald Trump. Now, he is weighing in on
what's happening between Bernie Sanders
and Elizabeth Warren. We'll tell
you what he has to say. Alright, we'll get into that next.
Keep it locked. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Good morning, everybody. It's DJ, MV,
Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club. Let's get
in some front page news where we start, yeah?
Well, let's talk about the Democratic
debate in Iowa. Now,
as you know, there was a back and forth between Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.
And that's over Elizabeth Sanders.
Elizabeth Warren says that Bernie Sanders said a woman couldn't win when she had a conversation with him.
And they are supposedly friends with each other.
They did say yesterday they are still friends.
But after the debates, everyone was talking about how Elizabeth Warren would not shake Bernie Sanders'
hand. Well, a lot
of people are weighing in on this one person
who was right there, Tom Steyer, because he was
on stage at this Democratic debate. There were six people
left, and here's what he had to say
about the conversation the two of them had.
I was just going up to say
goodnight, and I felt like,
okay, there's something going on here. Goodnight,
I'm out of here.
What were they arguing? They were talking about getting together or something. I really didn't listen. I really, it was one of those awkward moments where I felt like, you know,
I need to move on as fast as possible. All right. Now, Donald Trump has even weighed in on this
Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders conflict.
And here's what he said.
And I don't believe that he said this because, you know, I don't know him.
I don't particularly like him.
He's a nasty guy.
But I don't believe he said it's not his deal.
You have to know what people say.
She said that Bernie stated strongly that a woman can't win for president.
A woman can win for president.
Fortunately, it did.
That could happen.
You know, the debates were trash last night. I actually went to sleep
on them, and I don't believe Bernie said that
because that's not in Bernie's character.
But if he did, so what? It's America.
America's a racist, sexist,
homophobic country. To say I don't think America
will vote for a woman or vote for
a gay person doesn't make you sexist or homophobic. That's an indictment of America. Not you the person that
said it. All right. Well, today is also the day that the House is going to be voting to send
articles of impeachment against Donald Trump to the Senate. And that's where they say opening
arguments are expected. So we'll see what happens. Of course, as we all know, a lot of people don't
anticipate much will come of this because
a two-thirds majority of the Senate would be required
to convict Donald Trump, and they do
feel that is unlikely since Republicans outnumber
Democrats in the Senate. Teflon Don.
Nothing's going to happen to Donald Trump. Donald Trump
makes me question the whole science of politics
because there really is no science to politics.
It's just that, you know, politicians are BS's
and dream sellers, and it's all about who can
sell the best dream, who can BS you the best.
But he does what he wants to do.
But that's the reason Trump is able to run circles around all these politicians, because he's a better BS than all of them.
He is.
Now, the Senate impeachment trial is set to begin January 21st as of now.
All right.
And there's an online petition for against Ralph Lauren. They want them to do the right thing and recall, destroy, and publicly
apologize for trying to
capitalize off of black culture.
That's all because there were the
Greek letters for Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity,
Inc., which was founded at Howard University.
And that lettering was
on these
pants that they had that were retailing for
$334. So the symbols
were on the black back left pant leg.
And that was an issue.
Does Revolve have a picture so we can see?
Yeah, what's the Sigma lettering?
I didn't go to college.
I don't know nothing about no frets.
Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Ink.
What's it look like?
Let's see.
He said, I can draw it.
Yeah, Revolve, you can actually pull it up.
Draw it, Steve.
But they did.
They don't have it up.
They have since pulled them off the website and they're not for sale anymore.
They said the symbols on the pants were an oversight, and the company deeply apologized,
and they had taken immediate action to stop selling them.
They said that Ralph Lauren has a rigorous review process for its designs,
and the company is now looking at its protocols to help ensure that nothing like this ever happens again.
Why is it IBE?
That's Phi Beta Sigma.
Oh.
Scott said IBE.
It looks like IBE to me.
IBE.
All right.
We don't need you drawing things in here.
Yeah, please.
Yeah, Steve.
We scared when you start drawing.
Well, I'm Angela Yee, and that is Front Page News.
Steve said, you want me to draw you?
I would love to see that drawing.
Let me see you do it, Steve.
No, no, I'm just kidding.
You're about to get in trouble, Steve.
All right.
When we come back, actress Brisha Webb will be joining us.
Brisha Webb.
I love Brisha.
She's in the new Tyler Perry movie, A Fall from Grace, that'll be out on Netflix this Friday.
That's right.
I will be watching that this weekend.
I can't wait.
So Brisha Webb, when we come back, don't move.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Is your country falling apart?
Feeling tired?
Depressed?
A little bit revolutionary?
Consider this. Start your own country.
I planted the flag.
I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine.
I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
There are 55 gallons of water for 500 pounds of concrete.
Everybody's doing it.
I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
I am the Queen of Laudonia.
I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg.
I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia.
Be part of a great colonial tradition.
The Waikana tribe own country.
My forefathers did that themselves.
What could go wrong?
No country willingly gives up their territory.
I was making a rocket with a black powder,
you know, with explosive warhead.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
Bullets.
We need help!
We still have the off-road portion to go.

As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just
don't know what is going to come for you. Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt,
learning to trust herself and leaning into her dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to
doubt the possibilities for ourselves. For self-preservation and protection,
it was literally that step by step. And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're
going. This increment of small, determined moments. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth,
gratitude, and the power of love. I forgive myself.
It's okay.
Like grace.
Have grace with yourself.
You're trying your best.
And you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing.
Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before.

We are The Breakfast Club.
We have a special guest in the building.
Bright and early.
Brisha Webb, welcome.
Thank you for having me.
Hi, guys.
What's up, Brie?
I'm surprised you're here
because y'all had the premiere of Fall From Grace last night, right?
Yes, we did.
Y'all must have been being nice in front of Cicely Tyson.
Y'all must not have been acting ratchet, misbehaving.
Well, you know what?
A lot of people don't know this,
but Miss Tyson is hilarious.
Really?
She was out until like 11.30.
Really? What'd she drink?
11.
I didn't look in her life like that.
Okay.
She was out there dancing
and just chilling.
She lived.
How do you celebrate
at events like that, though?
Do you turn up?
Do you drink?
Do you...
I mean, this event
is so much different
than all the other events
because it's so iconic
just to be in a movie
with all of these amazing women.
Cicely Tyson,
Felicia Rashad,
Crystal Fox,
the Tyler Perry.
I can't really twerk anywhere
because I'm just living
in the moment.
I twerk to myself.
Got you.
You twerk in your head.
I twerk in my head, you know,
but it's just,
I'm just kind of floating. Yeah. You know, just being in the moment with them. Well, tell're twerking your head. I'm twerking my head, you know, but it's just, I'm just kind of floating.
Yeah.
You know,
just being in the moment.
Well, tell us about
A Fall From Grace.
A Fall From Grace
is about a woman
who has really been
tried by a man
that she falls in love with.
What do you mean tried by?
Well, you know,
she allows herself
to be open with a man.
She was bamboozled.
Yes.
She was hoodwinked.
There you go.
There you go.
Explain some more.
Did she get cheated on or something? Yes. She was cheated on by her husband. Yes. She was hoodwinked. There you go. There you go. Explain some more. Did she get cheated on or something?
Yes.
She was cheated on by her husband.
She opens up her heart to love.
So who's the white character that plays this husband?
Well.
Because you know black men don't cheat.
It's a black guy.
It's a black guy.
Well, it's a black guy.
It's Makad Brooks.
We never meet her original husband who cheated.
But Makad does his own dirt.
And he steals her money and all of these things happen,
and she marries him, and, you know, they fall in love,
and then the seat, and all of these things happen.
But she falls in love.
She falls in love.
And then twists and turns happen.
She kills him.
She's accused.
Don't talk like that.
Oh, okay.
Yes.
This is the whole point of the movie.
This is the whole point.
She kills him.
Damn.
Yeah, but I mean, that's what she's accused of.
And I play her lawyer.
She's already in the depths of sorrow.
And then I'm her lawyer.
I'm a public defender.
And I am tired of just what it is and what it takes to be a lawyer.
Being a public defender and having the government and everything on your back in order to do your job well.
She finds her strength, my character
does, and she fights for
Grace's life
in the end. I'm sure you learned a lot about the
legal system while doing this. Oh my goodness.
Yes, a lot of people are not going to
be expecting this from me and I'm excited.
Really? I wonder if a woman
could, if that was an actual
situation, could you be objective
in a situation like that? Especially if you are a woman that's been cheated on. You know what I mean? If you were, if that was an actual situation, could you be objective in a situation like that?
Especially if you are a woman that's been cheated on.
Yes.
You know what I mean?
If you were a lawyer.
As a juror.
A lawyer, juror, whatever.
Yes.
I feel like every woman has a heart and a space for a woman that has been hurt.
You know, because we all can identify with that.
And so, you know, I already see her from that point of view.
And her eyes and her sympathy and everything
that I'm feeling from her, it makes
me want to fight for her even more.
Have you been cheating on Bria? Yes, I believe so.
I mean, I don't
harp on negative things
really. You know,
that was his disservice, not mine.
I'm better for it, so go
cheat. Tell him, go see
my movie. Go watch my movie on Netflix
How about that
Did you catch him
I'm not walking in the room
Watching people just doing things
I'm not going to curse
I will say
I'm not going to say it
I'm trying to be an award winning actress
You see my collar
You see my collar God You got your posture. You see my collar?
God damn it.
Let me live.
Damn it.
Let me play the role.
Now, how did you prepare for this?
I mean, everything was in the script there.
Tyler Perry did such a great job in the script,
and people will not be expecting this from him.
Just twists and turns
and a new way of looking at cinema for him.
A thriller thriller really.
And so I watched
this documentary that he sent to me
called Gideon's Army
about public defenders and I used that
as my landscape
of just how to navigate
and how public defenders
really balance their love life,
their social life, and what
the weight of being a public defender is
and how you take your work home with you
and the struggles of that
and the pressure of it all. Have you ever had a public
defender? You know who got arrested for nothing, right?
I mean, no, no.
I'm just asking.
No, I have never been.
No, no. It's a lot
because at first, right, you're wanting this
woman. She said she's going to just take a plea deal.
She's going to plead guilty.
But then as the movie goes on, you uncover more and more layers of what happened.
It also makes you think about the system and how many people do plead guilty to things that they didn't even do.
Yeah, and they take the plea deal because they think that that's the best deal possible.
And we see that in this movie and we see that in the system.
And just any time we turn on the news
and more movies like Jamie Foxx's
film and, you know, and when we see
Just Mercy and when we see
Central Park Five
and we watch these stories about these
innocent men and innocent people
going to jail and taking deals
that, you know, are beneath them and
people that aren't fighting on their behalf
in the first place. You know, are beneath them and people that aren't fighting on their behalf in the first place.
You know, I hope this inspires lawyers and other people to just question what other people
are doing and how they are being perceived and, you know, and to just open themselves
up to maybe allowing the truth to affect them and not judge it just face on, you know, judge
a situation face on.
How did you recover from being cheated on?
Oh, here you go, Charlamagne!
I don't want women to feel like they can just go kill a man when they get cheated on.
We not Lorena Bobbin in here, okay?
No.
Like, listen, I just know, I mean, I'm rooted by faith.
So I just know that, you know, what God has for me is for me.
And so I'm not going to allow
a person and what they're going
through and how they view me and
how they need to go seek another person
to affect who
I am. That's right. You know, I'm not going to
allow that to affect me. You know, I just
know like, hey, if that's how you feel, good
for you, I'm better for it because I know
that there's something better for me. And if you're a true
person of faith, you got to know that God wanted you to get
cheated on. Yes, because he needed
me to see the light to get the hell
out of there, right?
Because obviously I wasn't seeing all the
other signs, which brings me back to this
film because
I was a friend!
I was a friend!
We all be the same!
You know, I have to say Felicia taught me
that, you know what I'm saying say Felicia taught me that.
She taught me how to round and bake and stuff.
I still ranch sometimes.
Like I was saying about the film.
You know, Grace goes through so many things,
and she has been given so many signs,
and she doesn't pay attention.
And so I hope that women and men, when they watch this film,
they pay attention to the signs.
And Mr. Perry said something very, you know,
he said something that I'll keep in my little pocket of,
you know, things that I'll do.
I'll keep notes when I'm falling in love.
Sometimes, you know, you get blinded by, you know, love.
But you can keep notes.
Explain that.
Keep notes.
You know what that 3 p.m. on Tuesday notes?
Yes, 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
This mofo.
Pay attention to those red flags.
Yes, those red flags.
You got to, because sometimes love can deceive you and blind you.
Love is blind.
You make excuses for the other person.
Yes.
Oh, well, he's going through something.
Right.
And you can't remember.
Everything gets cloggy.
And then your friends start to remind you.
And then after the fact, when you
dump them, everybody come out
the woodwork. Well, you know, I ain't gonna tell
you, babe.
You knew it. You know what I mean?
So this movie has a lot of that. So talk to
the screen. I think it would be better if you wrote
positive things and negative things.
Then you can weigh the pros and cons as opposed to just
having a list of all the negatives at a present time.
Well, true, but you're living the positive.
If you're in the moment, you're loving everything positive.
But when you break it down and you look at it, all you see is all negativity.
And nobody's perfect.
Okay, right.
Because black men don't cheat.
That's right.
I'm glad you know.
So, right.
Of course I know.
Okay.
So, yes.
Black men don't cheat.
So, we have to weigh the good and the bad, ladies.
And men.
Okay.
All right. We have more with Bresha Webb when we come back. Don't move. It's have to weigh the good and the bad, ladies. And men. Okay? Alright, we have more with Brisha
Webb when we come back. Don't move. It's The Breakfast
Club. Good morning.
Morning, everybody. It's DJ
Envy, Angela Yee,
Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast
Club. We're still kicking it with Brisha
Webb. Yee. Has anybody ever
tried to scam you? A guy? Well, you know what?
Uh-oh. You getting that money
now too, Brie? Ooh, there's a lot of dudes
trying to trap you. I keep myself,
you know, I honor the space that I'm in.
And the more I, you know,
grow as a woman,
I really evaluate people
that I allow in my space. That's right.
Boundaries. You know, boundaries. Because at first,
you know, when you're young, everything is all lovely,
and, you know, come on over,
and come on, you're so good friends. No, no, no, no. That's over. You know, when you're young, everything is all lovely. And, you know, come on over. And come on. You're so good friends.
No, no, no, no.
That's over.
You know, now I honor my space.
And I honor this position.
And I honor who God is creating me to be.
So I'm not going to lie.
It's a privilege to be in my space.
That's how you stay mentally healthy, too.
Yes.
That's like really one of the first steps to stay mentally healthy.
Just setting boundaries.
Yes.
And I'm learning that.
Each step of the way. Because every step is a new trial and it teaches you again.
And until you learn these lessons, you ain't going to get these blessings.
What have you learned in the past year, Bree?
Because I'm watching you.
I'm looking at you.
You're poised.
Thank you.
You got some media training.
I mean, I don't know about that.
I mean, I got friends that tell me the truth.
Don't do that.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So that's what it was.
They just tell you, like, look, don't do this, don't do that.
Yeah, well, I just know what kind of, I have an idea.
I have a vision of what kind of career I would love to have.
And being in a film with these iconic women and, you know, and sitting beside them,
I've learned so much and I've been able to soak everything up
in their stories and how they've grown as women.
And just to be able to sit at the table,
I just know what this is now.
And I love going to work, and I love being funny,
and I love just working.
But I also know the position that this holds
and how people look at me
and how I need to look at myself.
Right.
And it's okay to have all of these different layers.
As a person, I can be goofy, I can be all of these things, but also knowing who I am
in the position and honoring that.
Did they give you advice while you guys were filming scenes, being that you worked with
these iconic women?
Felicia Rashad.
I mean.
Cicely Tyson.
We filmed this movie in five days.
Wow, in five days?
Five days.
That's a grind.
That is a grind.
What was that shift like?
You just do it?
I can't believe that.
That's crazy.
I mean, was it 10-hour shifts, 20-hour shifts?
Where did y'all stop for five days?
I mean, we got our hours, you know?
The sack things were, you know, everything was done correctly.
But, you know, the way that Mr., you know, Tyler, he hates when I say Mr.
Perry.
But I mean, when you come to this man's studio, you know, you have to realize what it encompasses.
You know, you can go from each set to another.
So it felt like you were doing a play for five days.
Right.
Because you could go from each set to another.
The lights are already preset.
Everything is ready.
The crew, the people, everybody just is all in sync with each other.
So you can do a film in five days there because it's all his stuff.
It's all his cameras.
He's all the people working for him for the greater good of the project.
And he trusts the people that he cast.
So I was very honored to even be a part of it.
And getting this role, Jasmine, I was like, I can't do anything else but show up I don't
have any time to have any doubt I'm in a scene with Felicia Rashad and she's a Broadway actress
Crystal Fox Broadway theater trained Cicely Tyson I got time to be like um so where do you want me
to stand you just go ahead and do it and that's the best way of doing it for me because I only
could move in my instincts.
So how do you get over being a star scrub?
Because you got to be when you see Felicia Rashad.
Oh, well, a lot of people don't know that Felicia, Miss Felicia and her daughter and I went to college together.
Oh, OK. Yeah, we went to Cali.
Her daughter. You said you and Felicia went to school together.
No, no, her daughter, Condola Rashad Felicia went to school together. No, no, her daughter,
Condola, Rashad,
who's on Billions, and she's an amazing actress as well, and we're
really good friends, and so we went to college
together, so my other best friend
over there, Victor, we all went to school together, so
we all are like, Condola's mom is
coming, you know, like, so
it's just been that, so
that's like, oh my gosh, I'm working with Condola's mom.
But I mean, come on, bow down.
It's Miss Felicia.
I mean, but beyond that, I mean, she's done so many amazing works on stage.
And so many people are going to be shocked at who she is in this film.
And she gets those opportunities to play it on stage.
And now she gets to show it on film.
Could you see yourself on Broadway?
Absolutely. I mean, it's always been a dream. Yeah, sing and dance. I have now she gets to show it on film. Could you see yourself on Broadway? Absolutely.
I mean, that's always been a dream.
Yeah, sing and dance.
I have a one-woman show that I do
called This My Show,
and I do all of these characters with a band
because I live in L.A.
and because I get frustrated with just,
you know, not being theatrical.
I'm a theatrical person,
and I love being funny and all that,
but I love doing my characters
and singing my songs
and my crazy song, Think From Your Heart.
What did your parents think about Think From Your Heart?
You know what?
They raised me this way.
They raised me crazy.
Yes, my mom was a sexual education professor.
Really?
Yes.
So I was raised knowing who I am and what people have.
At what age did they have that talk with you?
Oh, she answered every question I had.
My parents certainly had that talk with me, but go ahead.
Okay.
You still don't know what you're doing.
I still don't know what I'm doing.
Well, you did something.
You got children.
I got children.
I did something.
You had something.
You figured it out.
I figured it out.
Yes, but no, I mean, my mom has always been forward about,
she used to call my lady land, my purse.
My purse?
Yes, she would ask me.
She would be like, don't let anyone touch your purse or go near your purse.
And she would give me a little purse to go to school with.
And I thought it was very clever.
Now that I'm older.
Don't put your purse on the ground.
Yeah, don't put your purse on the ground, okay?
Like little things.
She was like, don't let anyone touch your purse.
And my purse would fall right near my area.
So she would be like, did anyone touch your purse?
Like no one touched my purse.
But you know, it starts a conversation about you having ownership of your body.
So why you ain't call it a thing from your heart, not your purse?
Well, I mean, nobody else would get it.
I would have to explain purse.
Got you.
But you know, hey, I think the P word is really nice, you know, actually.
Yeah, I mean, it's actually a powerful word.
Thank you.
I think so, too.
I possess it and so do you.
Okay.
And some men as well.
Man purse.
Yes, but I mean, you have to think from your heart, you know, going through this dating life.
You know, you got to think from your heart.
Charlamagne gave me his man purse.
Really?
It's right behind you in that box.
That's not a purse.
That's a book bag. Oh, you moved it? Yes. That's a purse. Really? It's right behind you in that box. That's not a purse. That's a book bag.
Oh, you moved it?
Yes.
That's a murse.
A woman has a purse.
Men have book bags.
Book bags or murses.
You don't see a book bag?
Yeah.
Oh, don't do it.
Oh, shit.
You thought you was a cursing.
I love you.
What happened to your point,
priest?
Oh, I don't know.
I see balls right here
in my face.
It just took me by surprise.
I can't.
Come on.
We should try to grow up,
but we ain't that grown yet.
Now, for people listening,
for people listening who can't see it,
they were not in her face for real.
But it was pretty damn close.
It's the mold.
It's the mold of my...
Who is that?
That is my ass,
but it's a mold of an ass.
Well, look at that.
That was my Christmas gift to him.
Look at that.
Very thoughtful.
It was plump and ready to poke.
It's a book bag.
You want to poke it?
No, I don't want to poke it.
Are you nuts?
I have Brisha up off of Grace Timmons on Netflix on Friday.
Okay.
And what else you got, Brisha?
I know you got a lot in the works.
Yes.
I mean, I'm going to pop up a lot.
You know, thank you to everybody that watched Sherman's Showcase last season.
So a lot more crazy stuff is coming.
You like that, Nick? Thank you so much. showcase last season. So a lot more crazy stuff is coming.
You like that, Nick?
Thank you so much.
Everybody loved my Mary J.
and my Julia B. Vance,
a.k.a. Anita Baker.
But you've been practicing that Mary J.
your whole life.
That's something you've been doing in the mirror,
I'm sure, since Baltimore. My whole life.
I mean, she just gives you so much.
She gives you so much.
Happy belated.
You know, she's sweet.
You know, I love her.
Hopefully I can perform on stage with her, just being her background.
Shadow.
You know, I would just like to be the shadow of her.
I met her at Tyler Perry's gala.
And I was like, it was so funny.
I was like, hey, Murray.
And she turned around like, she was like, who called me Murray like that?
Like my family members.
And she was like, huh? I was like that? Like my family members. And she was like, huh?
I was like, hi, I'm your biggest fan.
I play you on Sherman Showcase.
You should try to look at it.
Was that before she performed or after she performed?
After she performed.
Did you do the dance to it?
Absolutely.
And I did it right next to Beyonce and Jay-Z and I made them giggle.
This is just a wonderful moment in my life.
I was like, oh my God, they're giggling at me.
I'm doing it right.
All right.
It's Bresha Webb.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Thank you.
What's wrong with you, bro?
I don't know.
I've been trying to figure that out.
That's why I go to therapy every Friday at 3.30.
All right.
Good morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
What's happening?
Now, don't forget, June 4th through June 8th,
just add water, all right?
We'll be at the Hard Rock out in Riviera Maya Resort.
Where?
Did I say it right?
I just want to hear what you said.
Riviera Maya Resort.
Riviera.
That's what I said.
No, you said Riviera.
Just give them the website, bro. You got to know where we're going to be, man. This is crazy. I know where we're going I said. No, you said Riviera. Just give them the website, bro.
You got to know where we're going to be, man.
I know where we're going to be.
Mexico.
We need a passport.
I know that much.
We do need a passport.
Oh, I'm glad you said that.
My passport is expiring.
Yes.
I keep forgetting to renew it.
You better get that fast.
I got somebody that can do it in like two days if you need it.
We all have that.
It's regular.
Let's talk about that, though, because I feel like we haven't been putting enough sauce
on this trip that we're taking.
Because, you know, in the Breakfast Club nine years, we've only done one other trip, and that was to Jamaica.
Right.
And that was ages ago.
Right, right, right.
Well, this is, for all information, you can hit up thebreakfastclubjustaddwater.com.
Now, this trip is our, I'll say it's our first, because the last one was trash.
The first one we did.
It wasn't trash.
Yes, it was.
Come on, now.
It was trash.
That was our first one.
It was trash.
Tell me why it was trash The sound system didn't work
There was no events
What was the sound system for?
Nothing
We had to broadcast from there
And it sounded terrible
Remember there was no events
We didn't have no parties
We didn't do nothing
We just was in the pool
I am a cancer
My astrological sign
Makes me a homebody
I enjoy doing nothing
Remember they tried to make us all room together?
I don't remember that.
They didn't try to make me do that.
First, they tried to put all the rooms together because they were trying to cut costs.
Oh, I didn't have to worry about that because I'm the only woman.
What do you mean put all the rooms together?
Like have two in a room.
You remember?
Remember M-Eazy had the room with somebody?
I bought out the room with somebody.
Other people.
Oh, when you requested the room with me.
I remember that.
See?
Yeah, yeah.
I told you.
She wasn't my wife then, but my girl was coming. She's now my now wife. I'm not messing with me. I remember that. Yeah, yeah, I told you. She wasn't my wife then, but my girl was coming.
She's now my now wife. I'm not messing with you,
but if...
I hate this guy.
Like I said, June 4th through June 8th,
we're going to be doing all types. There's going to be
performatives. There's a 2000s
party that we're doing. A 2000s party.
There's a comedy show. There's a carnival
colors party. Ye is doing lip
service. I'm doing my KC Crew podcast there.
Charlamagne is doing Brilliant Idiots.
I don't think Andrew Schultz knows anything about that show.
I have to let him know.
You're going to tell him?
Yeah, I'm going to have to tell him about that.
And the comedy show, we've got to put the comedy show together, too.
I have the comics in mind.
It should be the people we mess with.
Donnell Rawlings.
Hello.
Donnell ain't funny.
Donnell is hilarious.
Donnell, you are going to be there, hilarious. Most of my friends are comedians. Donnell, you are going to be there, sir.
Most of my friends are comedians.
So, I don't know.
Need a little Duval.
People that came up here.
Got to get Duval.
Flame Monroe.
Flame Monroe would be great.
I'd love to have Flame.
Tiffany Haddish.
I don't.
Tiffany probably busy.
I tried to throw it out there.
I would love to have Tiffany there.
Tiffany probably busy.
I'd reach out to Lil Rel.
Lil Rel probably busy too.
Lil Rel.
But I don't know.
We get up.
It's January.
Oh, I would love to have
Shante Williams and Ida Rodriguez on there.
We can have the whole She Ready squad.
Marlo.
They ready.
Yeah, Flame Monroe, Ida, Shante.
Yeah.
We're doing a silk and skins pajama party.
Maybe Mark Theobald.
What the hell is that?
What?
That sounds weird.
A pajama party?
I don't know about that.
Silk and skins.
Silk and skins. No, you can't do that. What is that? What? That sounds weird. A pajama party? I don't know about that. Silk and skins. Silk and skins.
No, you can't do that.
What is that?
What is silk and skins?
That doesn't sound
Me Too era appropriate.
I'm just reading the flyer.
It says silk and skins.
Now, hold on.
I didn't discuss this part.
What's the silk and skins?
I didn't discuss that either.
I don't know about that.
All right, so let's take that
off the menu.
That's not going to be there.
That sounds like an orgy.
We're not having an orgy.
I think we need to have
a planning meeting about this.
I'm just reading what we have.
There's a sinfully sexy party.
Don't worry about the details.
Wait, wait, wait.
Silk and skin, sinfully sexy.
I don't know about that.
Don't worry about the details.
Just tell them where we're going to be.
That's right.
Maya Rivera, Mexico.
Rivera Maya.
There you go.
June 4th through the 8th.
That's right.
The Breakfast Club, justadwater.com.
Give them the website.
Sex and skins. I just told them. The Breakfast Club, just add water.com. Give them the website. Sex and Skins.
I just told them, the Breakfast Club, just add water.com.
That is the website.
There's going to be a beach Olympics, too.
What?
A beach Olympics?
What does that mean?
Nah, you can do beach.
We're going to throw a javelin?
I don't know.
Maybe we'll do volleyball.
Maybe we'll, you know.
That's for the younger demo.
Y'all going to be out of breath.
Yeah, that's for the young 20-somethings that rock with us that want to come.
You ever try playing volleyball in the water?
Uncle Sean will be on the sidelines drunk watching y'all.
Volleyball in the water is a workout.
And we sold that great, huh?
But we will be there.
Get at the website for more information.
We're going to have a lot of fun.
This is our first real flyaway parties.
Second, man.
First.
And we're going to have some artists there performing as well.
It's going to be a great time.
I think I'm going to go do a scouting trip.
I need to see the location.
I went already.
I did a scouting trip.
I need to do my own.
The place is amazing.
They got jet skis out there.
All types of things.
That's not included with the trip.
I just want to put that out there.
That's all extra.
But we had a great time.
We're trying to sell the trip.
I don't want a lot of people out.
You didn't have to even say that.
Just say they have jet skis.
They have jet skis.
I don't believe we got nothing that you just said, to be honest with you.
I just know we're going to be there.
You want to pull up?
What's the party we're having?
The skins and what?
No, we ain't doing that.
I just read that.
Soaking skins?
Soaking skins.
No.
All right, anyway.
Anyway, now we got rumors coming up.
What are we talking about?
Well, let's talk about Tekashi69.
All right, let's get into it.
He wants to come home.
We're going to get into it now?
We're going to play a song? We should get into it now. It's 53. We got to leave. I thought we had to play. Man, let's get into it. He wants to come home. We're going to get into it now or are we going to play a song?
We should get into it now. It's 53. We got to leave.
I thought we had to play. Man, let the man do his job.
If it's supposed to be a song drum, play the song. Play the song drum.
Morning everybody. It's DJ
MV Angela Yee. Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club. Let's get to the rumors. Let's talk
to Kashi69.
It's time.
She's spilling the tea.
This is the Rumor Report with Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club.
Well, Takashi69 wants out.
He's trying to get out of jail, and he wants to serve the remainder of his sentence at home.
He believes that he is at serious risk behind bars.
Now, wouldn't he be at risk at home also?
Yeah, but I guess he'll be a little safer because he can hire security and police to make sure he's protected and okay.
I mean, you've seen Powell.
You've seen what happens to snitches in Powell.
You've seen what they tried to do to Dre last episode.
Oh, no, you've seen what they did to Dre last episode.
They did do to him, and that happened in jail.
Yeah, that's my point.
Yeah, but I also feel like at home, that could happen too.
Like, it makes you a target as well.
You don't even know if your security is in on it or not.
Yeah, but it's easier to hide at home.
Like, nobody would know where he was at.
Yeah, it depends where he lives. He could get security.
He could get cameras. He could live in a gate.
He could get a community. He could live in a gate.
I know I said live in a gate.
What if Ring calls him a rat? What if Ring starts talking
to Tekashi at the house? You rat.
There's cheese in the refrigerator, you rat.
Well, he could be out by August 2020.
Best case scenario, but he wants to get out before rat. Well, he could be out by August 2020. Best case scenario.
But he wants to get out before that.
All right.
Now let's talk about this beef between Nick Cannon and Eminem.
Still? What beef?
There's no beef.
Eminem didn't reply.
Nick is shadowboxing at this point.
Nobody's hitting him back.
Nick Cannon actually has a song called Used to Look Up to You.
We told you before he put out a whole new project.
Well, here's part of that song. I've never seen a person
Who said that sucks in the background?
That was Steven the Wanker.
Goodness gracious, Steven.
I can't forget I said that sucks.
I've never seen a person lose a rap battle through self-inflicted punishment.
Like, Nick, you was, you was, Nick, you, no, just stop.
Hold on, there's more.
No, no, me more.
Nick Cannon used to look up to you.
Eminem is winning this battle because he's doing,
he's making Nick do the one thing that we don't want him to do,
which is rap.
Like Nick is really good at everything else.
He's fighting himself.
Except for rapping.
Like, yo.
Y'all don't love Nick, man.
If y'all love Nick, then y'all would join me
in the fight against making Nick Cannon stop rapping, bro.
Because the first one sounded decent, and I think it amped him to do five others.
He just kept going.
You was up, Nick.
Good.
You was up, Nick.
I was like, you know what, Nick?
He's losing to himself now.
Now it's self-inflicted punishment at this point.
Stop, Nick, please.
One thing you can't argue is that Eminem is an amazing rapper.
I mean, you just can't.
And Nick Cannon is great on Wild N' Out.
Nick Cannon is great at a lot of different things.
Yes, he's great at a lot of...
Are you jumping to this beef, too?
I'm not, but what I'm saying is battling Eminem...
I would bet against Nick Cannon and everything else.
And I would probably...
No, I'm lying.
You said you would bet against him?
I would bet with Nick... Oh, okay. I would bet on Nick in anything else. But when it probably, no, I'm lying. You said you would bet against him? I would bet with Nick. I would
bet on Nick in anything else.
But when it comes to rapping, no.
The more he raps, he just digs more holes
himself. Alright, now,
Tyson Fury, he says that he's
been getting ready for his rematch with
Deontay Wilder. Y'all excited for that?
And one thing that he's been doing is
masturbating seven times a day.
What are some of the other things that you're doing to prepare for this fight? I is masturbating seven times a day. What are some of the other things that you're doing to prepare for this fight?
I'm masturbating seven times a day.
Keep me testosterone pumping.
He's not serious.
No, definitely not serious.
He said it keeps his testosterone levels up.
No.
You don't believe it?
What did he tell you? Not to have sex before fights because it makes you weak.
And I would think that the ejaculation would still make you weak, regardless of whether you're going through the action of it or not.
But the fight's not until February 22nd.
So maybe he's doing that now while he's training.
That's over a month away, though.
That's five weeks.
But they tell you not to have sex for like five, six weeks.
Longer than that sometimes.
So maybe now he stopped masturbating seven times a day.
Because imagine the stamina it takes to go seven times.
That actually might help you if you start now, right?
Who got time to masturbate seven times?
It's not, he's not.
Come on, man.
Y'all know he's exaggerating.
He's joking.
Come on, stop.
Y'all sound jealous.
All right, well, I'm Angela Yee
and that is your Rumor Report.
That's more of a joke
than Nick Cannon's raps.
Come on.
All right.
Charlamagne,
what are you giving that donkey to?
For after that,
I would like Arthur Stephen King
to come to the front of the congregation.
We'd like to have a word with him, please.
All right.
And then after that is ask Yee. So if you need relationship advice or any type of advice, get on the front of the congregation. We'd like to have a word with him, please. All right. And then after that is Ask Yee.
So if you need relationship advice or any type of advice, get on the phone lines right now.
800-585-1051.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
It's time for Donkey of the Day.
Donkey of the Day.
I'm a Democrat.
So being Donkey of the Day is a little bit of a mixed up.
So like a donkey.
Donkey of the Day. a little bit of a mixed one. So like a donkey. He's a donkey of the day.
The practice club, bitches.
Now I've been called a lot in my 23
years, but donkey of the day is a new one.
Yeah, donkey of the day for Wednesday
January 15th
goes to Stephen
King. You know who Stephen King is, right? Of course.
Yeah, he's an author of
horror and supernatural fiction.
It, Pet Sematary, The Shining.
His books have been turned into all of those films.
Carrie, The Outsiders. He's a big deal.
If you're a fan of the horror genre.
I love horror. Cujo.
Cujo. That's about the dog, right?
Mm-hmm.
Yeah. Personally, I don't like horror movies.
I love them.
I refuse to pay people to scare me.
But this isn't about me. It's about Stephen King, okay?
He caught the wrath of social media yesterday when he tweeted out,
I would never consider diversity in matters of art.
Only quality, it seems to me, that to do otherwise would be wrong.
Now, let me tell you the primary reason I think this is stupid
and why Stephen King should get the credit he deserves for being stupid.
It's because art is a reflection of life, okay?
Art is a reflection of society.
Art is a reflection of people's experiences,
a reflection of people's views,
a reflection of people's ideas.
So someone who is as creative as Stephen King
should understand why diversity is so important.
Life, the society we live in, is very diverse, okay?
You have different races, different genders,
different sexualities.
I can understand a 72-year-old white man
not grasping that concept
because he doesn't have to, right?
White men are probably the only people on this planet who can afford to live in a box,
especially here in America because this system was designed by them for them.
So in Stephen King's mind, sure he's not thinking about diversity when he's creating his art
because he's coming from an old white man's perspective, all right?
He knows his world and he sticks to it.
Not to mention he's doing horror and supernatural
fiction. So who's got time
to think about diversity? But it's also a contradiction
because Stephen King
wrote Carrie, right?
And
I remember him writing in his book
one time that Carrie was about feminism.
Right? And how
women find their own channel of powers
and what men fear about women and women's sexuality.
So if you can be that thoughtful about a character you write,
then you absolutely, Stephen, have considered diversity
when it comes to your art.
So what the hell are you talking about?
Author Roxane Gay hit it on the head when she said,
quality is everywhere, but most industries only believe in quality from one demographic.
She said that in response to Stephen King's tweet, and I totally agree.
But I hate when we beat around the bush.
Stephen King only believes in quality from white folks.
They don't think diversity and quality go hand in hand when it comes to people of color
because they just don't see the worth in anything that's not white.
It is what it is.
And sadly, Stephen King's mindset reflects the mindset
of a lot of executives in Hollywood.
Now, after the backlash, or should we say blacklash,
Stephen King tweeted,
the most important thing we can do as artists and creative people
is make sure everyone has the same fair shot,
regardless of sex, color, or orientation.
Right now, such people are badly underrepresented
and not only in the arts.
Clean up on aisle seven, okay?
Stephen King, you should have led with that tweet.
In fact, that should have been your only tweet
about the situation, okay?
After tweeting what you tweeted previously
about not considering diversity in your art,
that second tweet, the clean up tweet,
is more supernatural fiction than anything
you've ever written. Please let Kathy
Griffin give Stephen King the biggest hee-haw.
Please give this giant jar of mail
the biggest hee-haw.
That was very disappointing to me as a person who was
a fan of Stephen King. I used to read those books
for real growing up and then watch all the movies.
I was definitely disappointed.
You're still a fan, though.
Yeah, I just said
I was disappointed
as a person who is a fan.
You hate when somebody
that you actually like their work
does something like that.
You guys ever read Thinner?
Mm-mm.
What's that about?
Sounds like somebody
trying to lose weight.
He hit the main character,
well, kind of, yeah,
in the book,
hits a woman with his car
and she's like Thinner. She puts a curse on him
and he can't stop losing weight.
And he's just getting too skinny.
Okay. Yeah, I like his
work, but that was
disappointing for real. Alright, well thank you for that donkey
today. Up next, ask Yee.

Need relationship advice?
Need personal advice?
Just need real advice.
Call up now for Ask Yee.
Keep it real.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
It's time for Ask Yee.
Hello, who's this?
Mike.
Mike, what's your question for Yee? You know, I just wanted to ask, you know, I've been with my time for Ask Ye. Hello, who's this? Mike. Mike, what's your question for you?
You know, I just wanted to ask, you know, I've been with my girl
for 11 years, and I decided
to leave her because, you know, for the last
five years, I've been busting my butt,
working and everything, you know. I want to go out
when I can and go out and enjoy myself.
You know, because every time we fight, I come,
you know, this girl's got to get paid.
Okay, so you don't get to go out, but
what's she been doing? She's been doing that a lot.
She stays home and watches Netflix all day.
So what's your question?
My question is, you know, I'm a bad guy because I left her, you know?
Let me ask you this.
Mike, do you want to be with her?
Not no more.
Like, you know.
Okay.
You know you're a bad guy if you stay with somebody who you don't want to be with.
That's what makes you a bad guy.
And then you end up doing other extracurricular things because you weren't happy in your relationship.
The right thing to do is what's right for you.
And if what's right for you is for y'all to not be together, I think that's actually a good thing.
If you leave somebody you don't want to be with instead of pretending that you're happy.
Right, right.
I just wanted to make sure I did the right thing.
Yeah, you're happy. Right, right. I just wanted to make sure I did the right thing. Yeah, you're good.
Listen, sometimes you got to do what's best for you
instead of always doing what's best for everyone else.
Right.
All right.
Thank you.
You're welcome, Mike.

It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Get some real advice with Angela Yee.
It's Ask Yee.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
All right, we're in the middle of Ask Yee.
Hello, who's this?
Hello.
Hey, what's your name?
Hi, I want to be anonymous.
All right, anonymous.
What's your question for Yee?
Okay, so I've been, like the previous girl,
having a casual relationship with someone that I work with.
So me and him both worked together.
We've been doing this for about nine months.
So I kind of considered him more like a really close friend,
and I had a lot of time to feel for him.
But he just kind of broke it off I had like a lot of time to feel for him but he just kind of
broke it off with me like a few weeks ago and it was like very unexpected it was just like from
one day to another like we had sex like yesterday and then tonight we're not talking anymore okay
so now like I feel really uneasy about it I'm very emotional about it I've even cried about it
I don't know why and I know that I caught feelings for I've even cried about it. I don't know why.
And I know that it caused feelings for him, but at
the same time, I just don't understand
why he did it. And
I want to tell him how I've been feeling
the whole nine months because he doesn't know
anything. So I don't know if I should
tell him. I kind of feel like he doesn't care.
Okay, so he never
even told you why he broke it off. He just said no more.
Basically. Well, it was kind of like me and him got into it about something
Like he said something off-brick to me
And I kind of felt some type of way about it
So I didn't talk to him for like a couple of days
But that's happened before
And then we just jumped right back in
But then this time he was like, nah, we just are being friends
Like that's it, we're not going to do nothing
Well, I'm going to say a couple of things here.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with you being honest about how you feel about somebody.
And if you feel like you want to tell him, just so you know, I really, you know, do have feelings for you.
And I've been sad since everything got broken up between us, since you went away, just to let you know that.
Not that I'm saying I expect you to have sympathy
and want to be back together with me, but I'm just want to express how I feel. And, you know,
I would like some closure. There's nothing wrong with that. But also understand that you can't
force somebody to be back with you if that's not what they want. And if he's like, I'm done,
it's over and he means it, then all you can do is express yourself that one time. And there's
nothing wrong with you being hurt and upset
because that's what happens when you go through a breakup.
That's a really normal feeling to have to deal with those feelings.
So I wouldn't feel bad about it or try to not understand it.
It just is what it is.
I'm used to being with this person, and I really did like him,
and now he doesn't want to be with me anymore.
Of course that's upsetting.
But, yeah, be honest about it with him.
See what he has to say.
If he's just not giving you any explanation, he just not dealing with you then move on right okay thank you
no problem honey you could cry all you need to yeah i just i just feel really uneasy about it
and it was really unexpected i kind of feel like i had like my heart got broken and i wasn't like
expecting it at all yeah you know the best way to get over a heartbreak is to deal with it,
and time will heal all wounds.
So I think it's just going to take you some time until you can move on.
But, you know, better now than later.
And don't cry at work.
No, I won't.
Okay.
All right.
Good luck.
All right.

Now we got rumors on the way?
Yes, Netflix is responding to Monique's lawsuit
accusing them of discrimination.
Find out what they have to say in response to Monique.
All right, we'll get into that next.
Keep it locked.
This is The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Listen up.
It's just in.
All the gossip.
Gossip.
The Rumor Report.
Gossip.
Gossip.
With Angela Yee.
It's The Rumor Report.
The Breakfast Club.
Well, we told you guys before that Shaggy said that he had an opportunity to be on Rihanna's album,
but they wanted him to audition, and that's why he turned it down.
Now, Rihanna's team is responding.
Now, what they are saying is that there was some miscommunication.
Apparently, according to the representative for Rihanna, they said after Rihanna had already gathered all the materials for the album, Shaggy contacted her asking to be a part of the album.
She explained to him the album was pretty much completed.
They were just working on mixing, mastering and deciding which songs to actually use.
And they did extend him an open invitation to send over some music regardless to see if she could work something out.
So they want to make sure there's no ill feelings, but they want Shaggy to let fans know the real truth.
It wasn't an audition situation.
It was that.
So I guess, you know, he'll let us know if that's true or not.
Okay.
All right.
Now, Dreamville has announced the deluxe edition of Revenge of the Dreamers 3 will come out this week, according to somebody on Twitter.
They said that will arrive on Thursday.
What's in the deluxe edition?
Get ready for that.
There's going to be two new singles on the album,
and they said there's no further details surrounding the track list that are available.
So that's what we know thus far.
Okay.
All right, Yo Gotti and Rock Nation,
they have filed a lawsuit on behalf of Mississippi prisoners.
Now, TMZ first was talking about this.
Yo Gotti enlisted Rock Nation, which is Team Rock.
That's the philanthropic part of Rock Nation.
They got them to represent the prisoners after there was a spike in deadly violence at different prisons, at different state prisons in Mississippi.
Now, the lawsuit has been filed yesterday.
They say that Parchman, which is a maximum security prison, is a powder keg.
There's been three deaths in the first week of 2020.
All three inmates were stabbed to death.
They said that the system there is chronically understaffed and dramatically underfunded.
So they want to make sure that they take care of those situations.
So now they're filing a lawsuit on behalf of those prisoners in Mississippi.
Dropping a clues bomb for Roc Nation for always consistently doing the work.
And Yo Gotti.
Yo Gotti for bringing it to their attention.
Yeah, salute to Tamika Mallory and my son, too.
I saw them down in Mississippi raising hell
about what was going on in Mississippi as well.
So salute to all of our people on the front lines
that are always consistently and constantly doing the work.
In addition to that, they're saying that particular
maximum security prison doesn't have enough mattresses
for the inmates. The cells are covered in black mold. There's raw sewage on the work. In addition to that, they're saying that particular maximum security prison doesn't have enough mattresses for the inmates.
The cells are covered in black mold. There's raw
sewage on the floors. And there's a
serious water problem. They said the drinking water
for inmates does not meet federal safety
standards. Alright,
Boosie Badass. There's been
some reports that he beat up George
Zimmerman at Walmart. I don't know
where this rumor started. Where this came from.
But Boosie did say service announcement. I ain't never even seen him. Noodles drop in Walmart Walmart. I don't know where this rumor started. Where this came from. But Boosie did say service announcement.
I ain't never even seen him.
Noodles dropping Walmart Friday.
I'm go popping up at Walmart to see who's supporting.
And he said this.
I never seen George in my life.
This is a lie.
Leave me alone.
Telling me I did something to him at Walmart.
That is a lie.
Since we talking about Walmart, my noodles dropping Walmart
Friday. Man, where did the internet
come up with this stuff, man? Now, by
the way, we would love for that to be true.
We wouldn't be mad. But where
does the internet come up with this stuff? How do they just pull
stuff like that out of their ass and just
post it? Boosie beat up George
Zimmerman at Walmart. That was a thing? People were actually talking about that?
I didn't see it. Oh. Listen,
somebody even sent me this story this morning, like,
make sure you report on this. That Boosie beat up
George in the... Yeah, I'm like, that's not true.
Alright, now Netflix is responding to
Monique's lawsuit, accusing them of discrimination.
According to Netflix, they did
say, and by the way, she's
actually suing them, saying that they offered her
$500,000 for a comedy special,
but paid millions to male and white
female comedians. Netflix has
filed some new documents. They said
plaintiff fails, however, to
allege any facts showing that the
compensation offered her was the product of discrimination.
To the contrary, her complaint
contradicts its core premise by noting
that other persons of color, other women, and
another African-American woman, like plaintiff,
have been paid substantially more money
to create comedy specials for Netflix's streaming service than what was offered to Plaintiff.
And Plaintiff fails to explain why she was entitled to be offered what the stars to whom she compares herself were offered for creating such comedy specials.
So according to Netflix, the evidence will show that she was not discriminated against by them.
And they want the court to dismiss the majority of her claims.
Which they probably will do.
Alright, Ja Rule. People were going
in on him on social media.
What did Ja do now? Why did he keep messing with Ja?
He was promoting Value Tax.
It's a tax preparation company. Everybody's got to start
thinking about filing their taxes.
And they said he now owns it.
It's tax season. It's simple. Walk in.
Let us do your taxes. Walk out with cash in hand.
He said, we also do
credit repair, and people started
I guess
having jokes. Started bringing up the fire stuff.
Of course they did, and
yeah, it just went from there. So listen, does
Ja have equity in that company? Yeah, he said
he does. That's what I heard him say.
Because he was like, oh, y'all support black-owned business
but it's a joke when I say it.
I think he owns a part of it or something like that.
And also, he's had IRS problems in the past as well, but maybe that is the person you want to go to.
Somebody had problems, and that way they'll never have those problems again.
My daddy used to always tell me that if you open up something, you know, usually don't put your name on it,
because when you put your name on it, people will find a reason to hate on it.
Yep.
I think that is very true when it comes to Mr. Ja Rule.
That is true.
Ja, you might want to stand down.
Well, congratulations to him.
Value tax in case anybody wants to get their taxes done and needs a place to go for that.
All right.
Now, according to U.S. Customs, they said Kodak Black tops their list of the top 10 biggest 2019 seizures list.
So aside from his federal gun
case, you know, he was arrested at the Buffalo border
after they found weed and guns in his vehicle.
And they said that
he said it was a personal use amount of
cannabis and so on and so forth.
But they said that he has the
in the top 10 list of seizures in 2019
made by the Buffalo Office of U.S.
Customs and Border Protection.
What's that mean? He had the most stuff?
Yeah.
He had the most stuff they took.
Confiscated.
Dropping a Clues Mom for the Kodak Black.
I don't know if that's a reason to drop a bomb for it.
He's in jail.
I'm just trying to find the positive in it.
I mean, it's number one on somebody's list.
Now, Tyler, the creator, is going to be performing at the 2020 Grammys as well.
He's up for Best Rap Album, by the way.
We told you earlier about some other performances that are going to be going down.
Demi Lovato
and Aerosmith will be performing. They have
a medley of hits that they're doing and they'll be also
joined by Run DMC for Walk This
Way. Well, it turns out Tyler, the creator
is also performing. Sounds like it could be
a good Grammys this year.
And Big Sean's
Detroit 2 album. There's all kinds of rumors.
There was actually some video
that's been now circulating
and that's because YK Osiris
was in the studio and he
did post some photos and video
and in one of the videos people zoomed
in on one of the pictures on a piece of paper
on the wall that says Detroit 2 and it has
a list of artists on there.
So now people are
speculating on who's going to be on there. Some of the
names on that list are Future, Young Thug, Lizzo.
And if you take a look at this, you can see Kendrick's on the list.
You can see Drake is on the list.
So not sure if that really means that these people are on the album,
but everyone was talking about it.
Okay.
All right.
I'm Angela Yee, and that is your Rumor Report.
Hey, also, too, man, Notorious B.I.G. and Whitney Houston, if you care, they made the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
That's big.
Yeah, for 2020.
That's dope.
And that just got announced.
I think they should change the name to the Music Hall of Fame as opposed to just one genre, but they're in there.
That's dope.
Depeche Mode, the Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails, Notorious B.I.G.
Those are some of them.
And, you know, that's a really, really huge honor.
There's a ballot of finalists that even make it to even be nominated, and then they choose from those.
They should definitely change the name, though, because Whitney Houston ain't rock and roll.
Notorious B.I.G. ain't rock and roll.
Change the name, just put the Music Hall of Fame.
Right.
Come on, stop.
Well, we'll see you guys tomorrow.
Revolt, everybody else, the People's Choice Mix is up next. Get your request in at DJ Envy. It's the Breakfast Club. All right. Come on. Stop. Well, we'll see you guys tomorrow. Revolt. Everybody else, the People's Choice mixes up next.

Perry film. It's going to be on Netflix.
I'm actually interested to see what Tyler Perry does on Netflix.
What is the Tyler Perry content on Netflix like?
You know, I've seen every Tyler Perry movie, so I'm definitely going to support it.
I will be this weekend watching A Fall from Grace.
Absolutely.

We are the Breakfast Club.
Now, Charlamagne, you got a positive note?
Yes, man.
First of all, I want to say happy born day to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Okay, today is his born day.
I mean, you know, the holiday isn't on his actual born day.
His actual born day is January 15th.
So what better time to quote Mr. Martin Luther King Jr., man?
One of his greatest quotes, one of the quotes that I use all the time is,
injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
So when you see something happening bad to somebody,
don't just ignore it because you never know when it could be your turn.
Breakfast club, bitches!
You all finished or you all done?
Had enough of this country?
Ever dreamt about starting your own?
I planted the flag.
This is mine.
I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete.
Or maybe not.
No country willingly gives up their territory.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
