Had enough of this country?
Ever dreamt about starting your own?
I planted the flag. This is mine. I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete.
Or maybe not.
No country willingly gives up their territory.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
Listen to Escape from Zakistan.
We need help!
That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you
get your podcasts. Hey guys, I'm Kate Max. You might know me from my popular online series,
The Running Interview Show, where I run with celebrities, athletes, entrepreneurs, and more.
After those runs, the conversations keep going. That's what my podcast
Post Run High is all about. It's a chance to sit down with my guests and dive even deeper into
their stories, their journeys, and the thoughts that arise once we've hit the pavement together.
Listen to Post Run High on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions,
but you just don't know what is going to come for you.
Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love.
I forgive myself.
It's okay.
Have grace with yourself.
You're trying your best.
And you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing.
Alicia Keys, like you've never
heard her before. Listen to
On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the
iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcasts. It's on your radio right now. Do you know how to pop that coochie for a day? There you go. It's the world's most dangerous morning show.
That's the camera's a mother******.
What kind of show is this?
My son listens to this show.
The Breakfast Club.
With DJ Envy.
The captain of this b****.
With Angela Yee, the only one who can keep these guys in check.
With Charlemagne the God.
I'm a lovable a**hole.
And this is The Breakfast Club, bitches!
Good morning, USA!
Hey, good morning, fam!
What's up, Yeezy?
What's up?
Guess what day it is? Guess what day it is?
Pop day?
That's right, it's Wednesday, middle of the week.
Yes, indeed.
It's a, you know what?
I realized I wasn't here Monday.
So that's why time is flying by.
Yeah, you weren't here Monday.
Yesterday, we went to go see The Joker.
That movie comes out Friday, right?
Or does it come out tomorrow?
Envy, if you don't stop that, because you laugh like Elmo.
You don't sound like the Joker.
It doesn't sound scary.
You sound like Tickle Me Elmo.
Oh, man.
Yeah, the Joker.
Wow.
Seen the Joker last night.
If you don't know what the Joker is, let people know.
Joker came out.
I think it comes out tomorrow. Now, the Joker, I'm not going to front.
I'm not a DC, I don't watch, I'm not into comics.
I'm not a DC or Marvel fan.
I could care less.
I just like good movies.
I was really excited about the Joker because the Heath Ledger Joker,
if you ever watch Batman, I think he did a phenomenal job.
I loved it.
It was action-packed.
I didn't necessarily read up on the Joker.
I just seen Joker and I thought it was a continuation of that.
Wrong.
Wrong, wrong, wrong.
It is the origin of the Joker.
So it's not as action-packed as I thought it was going to be.
But, man, when I say what a film, what a film.
And I know in the movie we thought the same thing.
They talk about mental illness, and we said Charlamagne's going to love this.
Yes, they talk a lot about mental illness, talk a lot about loners, talk a lot about how you should treat people, actions and reactions.
It's a great film.
The guy, what's his name? Joaquin?
Joaquin what?
Joaquin Phoenix.
Joaquin Phoenix. I don't know his name.
He's a pretty famous actor.
I don't know.
But he is definitely going to win a bunch of awards for this one.
He got into character.
A bunch of awards.
And I hope he can get out of character.
Because it seems like that's one of those characters that you have to dive so deep in
that it never really leaves you.
Because even last night and this morning, I felt like I was the Joker.
I feel like you are too.
If that helps you.
But yeah, it was interesting because you don't know
how the Joker
became the Joker.
Correct.
For myself anyway
because again,
I'm not the type of person
that even would normally
go to see this
but for some reason
I did want to see it.
You wonder,
why is he such a,
how did he become
this bad guy?
So you get to see
what it was like
for him growing up
and what happened
to him,
his circumstances,
how that affected him
and made him the person
that he became.
So yeah, it was good. I enjoyed it.
Even partly how Batman became Batman.
And you realize there's a little bit of Joker in all of us.
And when you watch it, you'll understand.
But it's two hours long.
And like I said, don't go there and think it's going to be pow, pow,
shoot him up, bang, like it's going to be a continuation of any of those.
I know a lot of comic book fans are like,
Envy, we know, we read the comics.
Well, I don't. But it was don't. So for the casual fan,
you enjoyed it? I enjoyed it. Absolutely. It was great.
There's a lot of funny parts. A lot of parts where I laughed and nobody else laughed
and I felt uncomfortable. But still, it was a good movie. You know what? There wasn't a lot of
black people there with us watching it. Maybe that's why. And I was with Sandra Dean,
my makeup artist.
And you know,
we talk to the screen.
Right.
So we talk to the screen a lot.
We were the only ones.
I had to.
Talk to the screen.
I can't help it.
Gear went with me and I was like,
shh, shh, shh.
But she was like,
why is nobody laughing?
Like there's one part, right?
All right, that's enough, MB.
That's enough.
When the Joker went like,
bam!
All right, that's enough.
All right, all right.
Let's get the show cracking
The Baby will be joining us this morning
Yes he's very entertaining
And congratulations to him
Because he does have what's going to be the number one album out right now
Kirk
That's a big deal
You can't do this all morning
I feel like I'm the Joker today
I want to dance like the Joker
Like the Joker got some dance
Y'all don't understand.
You are annoying today.
I'm sorry.
I enjoyed that last night.
All night.
Me and my wife in bed, I just be like.
So what the hell is wrong with you?
Now you took it too far.
That's what she said.
That's what she said.
Anyway.
All right.
Well, front page news.
What are we talking about?
Well, we are going to talk about the ex-cop, Amber Geiger.
And I'm sure you heard the verdict.
Yep. Murder. Yep. We'll talk about it when we come back. All'm sure you heard the verdict. Yep. Murder.
Yep. We'll talk about it when we come back. Guilty.
Alright, it's the Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Everybody, it's DJ Envy
Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are
the Breakfast Club. Charlamagne is out.
So let's get in some front page. I thought he was just late.
No, no, no. He's out. I wasn't
sure what was going on, but he's not
in today. But let's get in some front page news.
Where we starting? Well, but he's not in today. But let's get into some front page news. Where we starting?
Well, let's start with some news.
And, you know, I want to call this good news,
but it's unfortunate because an innocent man lost his life.
But Amber Geiger, the former cop, is found guilty of murder,
which is very significant because very few police officers
ever face trial for shooting deaths,
and even fewer of them are convicted.
So Amber Geiger, who is white,
she testified that after working long hours last year, September 6th,
she went to her Dallas apartment complex.
She was in uniform, but she was off duty,
and that's when she went into the wrong apartment.
She thought it was her apartment. That's her defense.
She noticed the door was partially open, went inside,
saw a man sitting on the couch eating ice cream. She thought it door was partially open, went inside, saw a man sitting on the couch
eating ice cream. She thought it was an intruder, and
that's when she fired her service weapon and killed
him. Fact of the matter is that
she was at the apartment directly above
hers, which belonged to
Botham Jean, who was a black man.
He was just chilling. He was on the couch in his shorts
watching TV, eating vanilla ice cream
when Amber Geiger walked in.
Now, she was being charged with murder,
and she, well, she is being charged with murder,
and, you know, people didn't think that was going to happen.
I have to say, even I was surprised,
but happily surprised that she will be held accountable for her actions.
They said that she was distracted because she was texting.
Sexting.
Yes, she was sexting with her police partner,
who is a married man, by the way.
And they actually even read those text messages in court and everything.
Yeah, he caught a shot.
I don't know.
He was like, F my life.
So now she's facing up to life in prison.
She's 31 years old.
Yeah, I don't think she'll be alive.
They tried to use the defense that it was stand your ground.
Hell no, not in my apartment.
Right.
And the thing is, how is it stand your ground?
You're the one in the wrong apartment.
Now, if he would have shot and killed her,
that should have been stand your ground for him
if somebody walked into your apartment
and you thought they were breaking in.
I know I've seen a lot of people very, very happy about this
and I'm glad she was convicted, but I don't know.
And the reason I say I don't know,
I feel like they gave us this one.
And the reason I say that, I know people are like,
what you mean?
You know, usually when an officer's on duty and shoots one of us,
they never give us that one.
They never give us the one where we act absolutely positively.
An officer's on duty, supposed to be doing their job, and that happened.
This kind of felt like that was off-duty-ish.
You know what I mean?
Yes, she should be found guilty of murder, but I want more of the other ones.
Even the judge was surprised.
Yeah, the judge was absolutely,
African-American woman,
absolutely positive surprise.
A lot of people were, you know, surprised too,
and we shouldn't be
because clearly this woman deserved to be convicted.
We need more of those on-duty ones, though.
But I'm so happy that she's convicted.
I mean, we'll see what happens in sentencing.
And now she could get sued as well,
but I don't even know if she has money, money doesn't even matter
at this point but I'm glad she was found guilty
and you know what, Botham Jean's mother took the stand
his daughter
addressed the jury as well
the mom said my life has not been the same
Allison Jean said that, she said it's just been like a rollercoaster
she said she goes to
weekly therapy sessions, she's been trying to keep
the family together, he was the middle child
who was the glue that brought her three children together.
They show photos of him.
You know, they weren't prepared for certain things that were going to be shown in court,
like his last minutes and all of that.
Wow.
And he was a really smart student in school.
He, at age 11, ranked 23 out of about 4,000 students in St. Lucia,
who took a selective high school entrance exam. Great, great guy, man. She talks about her faith. She says she's been married for 30 years,000 students in St. Lucia who took a selective high school entrance exam.
Great, great guy, man.
She talks about her faith.
She says she's been married for 30 years,
all of those things.
And so just imagine how the family feels at this time.
And she did cry out when the verdict was read.
All right, well, that is your front page news.
Get it off your chest.
800-585-1051.
If you're upset, you need to hit us up right now.
Maybe you're tired of Envy laughing
like the Joker all morning.
I mean, I can't laugh after that story.
But next break, I'll start laughing again.
But get it off your chest.
DaBaby will be joining us next hour.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Is your country falling apart?
Feeling tired?
Depressed?
A little bit revolutionary?
Consider this.
Start your own country.
I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind
of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. There are 55 gallons of
water, 500 pounds of concrete. Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of
Laudonia. I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of
Mentonia. Be part of a great colonial tradition. Why can't I try my country?
My forefathers did that themselves.
What could go wrong?
No country willingly gives up their territory.
I was making a rocket with a black powder,
you know, with explosive warhead.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
Bullets.
We need help!
We need help!
We still have the off-road portion to go.
Listen to Escape from Zakistan.
And we're losing daylight fast.
That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Listen to Post Run High on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you.
Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt,
learning to trust herself and leaning into her dreams.
I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves.
For self-preservation and protection,
it was literally that step by step.
And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going.
This increment of small, determined moments.
Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love.
I forgive myself.
It's okay.
Like grace.
Have grace with yourself.
You're trying your best.
And you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing.
Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before.
Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
It's your time to get it off your chest, whether you're mad or blessed.
So you better have the same energy.
We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club.
Cassandra, good morning.
Yeah, good morning, DJ.
What is wrong with you?
See, now you got him started.
You know what else?
You know, the other one is the lady called in and she was telling you about something good.
And you start going, ow, ow.
You said like two times, what is wrong with you?
Please stop.
Why?
I can't.
I can't take it.
Cassandra.
That would be crazy.
Cassandra.
Stop.
Cassandra.
What?
No.
Oh, my God.
Angela.
Yes.
I got to sit here, okay?
So...
No, you got to do something.
That is annoying.
You don't even know.
Okay.
It's the other side.
What should I do?
Let me throw something.
Trina.
Hello.
Hey, Trina.
Good morning.
Get it off your chest.
Good morning.
Hi, DJ Envy.
Hi, Angela E.
Hey.
Yee.
Yee, yes.
Sorry.
DJ Envy.
I'm taking a real estate course.
It's with somebody from Shark Tank.
And I just feel like I'm spending all this money on a course and we still have not yet to make a deal.
Is it Barbara Corcoran?
No.
Okay.
Okay.
Well, how much did you pay?
Uh-oh.
I know, but I want you to say it out loud.
How much did you pay? She said, um. Say I know, but I want you to say it out loud. How much did you pay?
She said, um.
Say it.
About $30,000.
$30,000.
Whoa!
All right, let me tell you, right?
Envy, you are not getting to the bag.
Because I don't want to rip people off.
And that's the crazy part.
Somebody came to my seminar.
And I just feel like it's a rip-off.
Yeah, it is.
Somebody came to my seminar this weekend.
$30,000?
You could have bought a property.
You paid $35,000 on a seminar.
And I told him, you know, we charge $99 for a seminar, and we go through everything.
We actually bring credit people, mortgage people, hard money lenders, attorneys, and everybody there.
It's a no-frills seminar.
And if you want to speak to them, they don't charge you no money.
But anyway, I told a young man who spent $35,000 on a seminar, I said, let me ask you a question, bro.
I said, well, did you learn more information or less on the seminar that you came to?
He said, I learned more information at your seminar.
I said, so why didn't you just take that $35,000 and put it in your first property?
And he was like, I was scared.
That's not an excuse.
You have to do your homework.
Stop paying that money.
Where are you from?
I'm from Rochester, New York.
Okay, Rochester, New York. Okay. We are doing another seminar I'm from Rochester, New York. Okay, Rochester, New York.
Okay.
We are doing another seminar in New York before the year ends, okay?
Right, and I was telling my boyfriend that we need to go to one of your seminars.
His whole thing is he don't want to spend any more money.
And I completely understand.
We're spending all this money, and we're not getting anywhere.
We're wholesaling, and it's just like it's not working out right now.
Yeah.
Well, I have a $25,000 course for you
if you want to sign up with me.
No, I'm sorry.
Did you pay with it on your credit card?
Yes, credit card.
Okay, all right.
Cancel it.
This is what we're going to do.
It got stolen.
Your credit card was stolen.
Okay, we can't talk about that.
Somebody charged a class.
We can't talk about that on there.
How long ago did you charge that credit card?
Probably about two months ago.
Perfect.
All right, so what we're going to do is we're going to call Jose the credit guy.
He's going to tell you how to get that off your bill.
And then what we're going to do is you're going to come to our next seminar,
and you're going to learn the right way.
And it's not going to cost you $35,000, which is outrageous.
That is outrageous.
I'm not going to lie.
Because, you know, this person is a billionaire.
So it's like, okay, well,
now you know how.
He knows how to make money,
but it's just like, this is a ripoff.
We're not really learning anything.
Right.
People play off the hopes and fears off of people.
Let me guess.
He says you get one call with the person a week for four weeks,
and then if you want to go past the four weeks,
you got to pay another $5,000, right?
No.
It's for 12 months. We get ongoing calls.
We have access
to about a million dollars
as far as cash,
money cash.
Oh my goodness, they're getting y'all so crazy.
Also, we have access to
some type of
what do you want to...
You don't even know what it is. All right, well, listen, you want to, like, um.
You don't even know what it is. All right, well, listen, we got to figure out how you're going to get your money back, okay?
You hold on, okay?
Yes.
All right.
Now, for everybody out there, please.
She could have bought 15 pairs of shoes.
I'm begging you.
Do not spend $30,000, $40,000, $50,000, $20,000 on these real estate seminars.
They will get you.
They will get you.
Absolutely, positively get you.
If you want to ask about a seminar,
ask people that have done these seminars before.
If you want to go to my seminar,
ask a question.
If you want to go to another seminar,
ask.
Do not pay that money, please.
You can use that money to buy a home,
an investment.
Bring back the Joker.
There we go.
That's how they got you.
It's the Breakfast Club.
I hate it, all right?
Get it off your chest. It's the Breakfast got you. It's the Breakfast Club. I hate it, all right? Get it off your chest.
It's the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Wake up, wake up.
With your ass.
This is your time to get it off your chest.
Whether you're mad or blessed,
we want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club.
Hello, who's this?
Hey, what's your name?
Max.
Max, what's up?
Get it off your chest, bro.
Yeah, good morning.
I'm happy about that she got found guilty and everything,
but I can't wait to see if they give her a sentence that matches.
Right.
How long do you think she's going to get?
I'm just hoping that they don't go,
she was a cop, so let's give her some leniency.
I can't see them giving her that.
I think they'll give her
five to seven years. I mean, I would hope
that she gets more. She deserves to get more for taking
that man's life, but I just
can't see him doing it.
Like I said, I just hope that they don't
again, show us.
They gave us a bone by giving us this,
but I hope they don't show us that we're still
second-class citizens.
Well, we'll definitely keep you all updated, too.
Hello, who's this?
Hey, it's Jessica from Illinois.
Hey, Jessica from Illinois.
Get it off your chest.
I just wanted to tell you guys good morning.
Good morning.
Good morning.
Hi.
Angie, I just heard that you came back from Chicago.
Yes, I did.
I heard you had a really nice time,
and you got to eat some really good food and everything.
I sure did.
I always hear from people from New York that always say, like, you know, Chicago doesn't have the best pizza and stuff like that.
So I'm really happy that you enjoyed it.
Now, I didn't say the pizza was the best.
No, she didn't say that now.
Oh, what?
I didn't say nothing about pizza.
So what is it?
The tacos?
I'm going to tell you where I went to Tavern on the Rush, which, and by the way, I've been
there a lot.
It's right across the street from the hotel that I used to stay at.
And then I went to some sports bar called Hopsmith.
And I also went to the Bureau Bar.
It's like a Bureau restaurant and grill.
It's a black owned establishment.
Oh, nice.
I'm going to have to go to that one.
So I was calling because I've seen that you have a lip service.
Yes, we're coming to Chicago.
Yes, and I listened to your podcast.
And when I got online, they were gone.
Like, every single ticket is gone.
It is?
And me and my girlfriend really want to go.
All right, hold on a second.
Let me get your information.
We're going to try
to see what we could do.
No, you're going to give
us some free tickets.
She got you.
Hold on the line.
That's why I said
hold on the line, Envy.
I got you.
We're going to get you
some free tickets.
I appreciate you.
And yes, Lip Service Live,
tickets are selling out,
which I'm really excited about,
but we are going on tour
for the podcast.
And so we'll be coming
to a city near you,
hopefully.
But yeah, if you were planning to get tickets,
I suggest you get them now.
Yes, thank you so much, Yee.
I'm going to hook you up, though.
You all have a blessed day.
That means you got to get on stage and twerk with Gigi.
Uh-oh.
Yeah.
She said, yeah.
That's why I want to come.
We're going to have some fun merch, too.
Everybody who gets on stage and twerks
gets some free lip service booty shorts.
There you go.
Hello, who's this? What go. Hello, who's this?
What up?
Hello, who's this?
Man, y'all need to give that donkey the date to that cop that was in the courtroom for Amber Geiger
that was calling a convicted murderer.
You can tell slavery is still in our DNA.
Well, well, well, I don't know because I thought so, too.
But then they also said that I'm not sure.
But they said that might be protocol to make sure she was checking to make sure there was no weapons or anything in her hair.
I don't know.
The damn weapon.
What?
Did you see it?
I never see that ever in my life.
I seen her caressing.
I seen her caressing her hair, but it just seemed odd and strange.
And I don't know why anybody would do that to a criminal like that.
A convicted murderer.
That's what she is.
And hopefully she gets life.
We got to wait for the six.
Everybody getting happy.
Right. Let's see what she is. And hopefully she gets life. We got to wait for the 6th. Everybody getting happy. Right.
Let's see what happens next.
Absolutely.
We praying life.
And to be honest,
some other cops,
because that guy was still alive
while those cops was at the house.
They didn't call an ambulance
for some reason.
Right.
They should be
assessed to need a murder too.
Hopefully them other cops
get got too.
Okay.
Well, thank you, brother.
Get it off your chest.
800-585-1051
if you need to vent.
Hit us up right now.
We got rumors on the way?
Yes, this happy couple
is deciding to take a break.
We'll tell you who it is.
Also, the game.
He did an Instagram post
and he's talking about
all kinds of things
that happened to him
in his life.
All right, we'll get
into that next.
Keep it locked.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
C.J.M.V. Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Let's get to the rumors.
Let's talk Stacey Dash.
It's about time.
What's going on?
Rumor report.
Rumor report.
This is The Rumor Report.
Talk to them.
With Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club.
So Stacey Dash says that she doesn't have enough money to hire a private lawyer.
This is all after she got arrested after a possible domestic violence charge.
And so she said she can't afford to hire a private lawyer.
Now, interestingly enough, you know who was bailing her out of jail?
Her husband, who is the person that she is charged with assaulting.
He paid $500 to free her yesterday
morning. And he had some
scratches on his arm and he said he was being
pushed and so I don't know what's
going on. A lot of times that happens.
You know, he got into an argument and he did a
moment, she got upset, she got locked up and he was like
you know what? I still love her.
That's my wife. Let me get her out. Maybe we need to talk
or have a discussion. But at the
heat of the moment, he locked her up. Right. And then bailed her out. Maybe we need to talk or have a discussion. But at the heat of the moment, we locked her up.
Right, and then bailed her out.
All right.
The game.
He did a post, and that was yesterday.
He said, 18 years since I was in a coma after getting shot five times in the dope spot.
I look at this video of the younger me, and I can't do anything but thank God for the opportunity to have a second chance.
All I knew was see the black Piru.
Listen to this.
I got a score. That's one to this. I got scarred.
That's one right there.
I got one right here, man.
I got one right there, man.
You know what I'm saying?
Went in, came out.
I got one on my arm right there.
That's one right there.
One on the back.
You do the math.
What you been through?
Walking my chucks for one day.
That video was from 18 years ago, and
that's what he says he looks back at, and
he did the hashtag, happy survival
anniversary self.
And he goes on to talk about how
he didn't care if he lived or died back then. He said
that was normal to me. I never expected nor cared
to live past 25 years old. I literally
didn't give a F.
Shouts at the game. Good brother. I wish him and 57
never got into that beef. I would have loved to see
how far G-Unit would have went if they
would have stayed as a unit because he's a dope
rapper, dope lyricist and I think with him
and 50 at that time, it would have went
even further, way further than it is now.
Alright, now Kylie Jenner
and Travis Scott are supposedly
taking a break. According
to TMZ, the two of them have
decided they're going to try to just separate but still
work together on raising their child. They're going to co-parent
and that's their number one priority, Stormi. Apparently
he wasn't at the wedding. Kylie attended Justin and Hailey Bieber's wedding.
And I don't know what's going on with the two of them, but
looks like maybe things are dying down a little for now.
But from what they're saying, they do break up and get back together all the time.
You know how it is.
And Travis Scott is also putting out a new song on Friday.
So it's called Drop Highest.
And he said, see you on the 4th on his social media page.
Okay.
All right, Beyonce's dad, Matthew Knowles, he's going through it right now.
It turns out that he's been diagnosed with breast cancer.
He's going to discuss it on Good Morning America today.
They don't know yet how he recently was diagnosed, but it's very rare for males to get breast cancer.
They said less than 1% of all breast cancer cases involve men.
And when it does, it's usually men who are between the ages of 60 and 70. And he's 67 years old.
So I guess this morning we'll have more information after he does Good Morning America.
I wonder what the signs are, if you can feel lumps in a woman or how you can tell.
I'm just curious.
Yeah, because I mean, I know as women, we're taught to test ourselves and make sure that we don't feel anything.
Test for lumps and all that.
But for men, is it the same?
Like, how would he even know, you know?
I guess we'll find out this morning.
Well, good morning, America.
Yeah, and we'll make sure we keep you guys updated as well, all right?
I'm Angela Yee, and that is your Rumor Report.
All right, thank you, Miss Yee.
Now we got front page news.
Next, what are we talking about?
1,400 people in one state won the lottery.
We'll tell you about that.
Okay, we'll get into that next.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Hey!
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are the Breakfast Club.
Now, Charlamagne is not here today,
so during Donkey of the Day,
we're going to let you give Donkey
to whoever you want to give Donkey to.
Oh, that's going to be nice.
800-585-1051.
We'll open up the phone lines now.
We can start.
You can give Donkey to whoever you want,
but right now, let's get some front page news.
Where we starting, Yee? Well, let's start with Hillary Clinton. Now she was on Good Morning
America with her daughter to promote their new book, The Book of Gutsy Women. And at the end of
the interview, the host, Amy Roback, asked Hillary Clinton, what's the gutsiest thing you've ever
done? I think the gutsiest thing I ever done? Well, personally, make the decision to stay in my marriage. Wow. Publicly, politically,
run for president.
Wow.
Yeah, that does
take a lot of guts.
Imagine how embarrassing
that was for her.
I mean, I'm sure
very difficult.
I mean, her face
was plastered everywhere.
So was Monica Lewinsky.
She's, it's something
that she's always
going to be asked about.
Other women are watching
and they're like
judging you
for staying in a situation
like that. What she did was best for her and her relationship and judging you for staying in a situation like that. What she did
was best for her and her relationship and
her family. I'm not mad at that.
Alright, now nearly 1,400 people
in South Carolina won the lottery and they
all played the same winning numbers.
Guess what those numbers were? What?
Two, two,
two, two.
It was a record number of winners for the pick four.
And some of those people said they've been playing all twos for years.
Who would play?
I would never even play two, two, two, two.
I would just like that number would never pop up.
That's like one, two, three, four.
Well, because 1,400 people won, most of the payouts were between $2,000 and $5,000.
One lucky winner bought 16 tickets with that combination and got $80,000.
Wow.
If it would have been one person, they would have won a $3.4 million payout.
They got to check that.
That sounds like somebody cheated.
I bought 18 tickets.
That's 2-2-2-2.
That doesn't seem a little strange.
You buy 18 2-2-2-2-2 tickets?
Say it again.
No.
All right.
All right.
An ex-Yahoo engineer admits that he would hack thousands of accounts to get sexual images.
He was a former Yahoo software engineer, and he said he would go and use those online accounts to find sexual images and videos for his own personal use.
That's disgusting.
His name is Reyes Daniel Ruiz, and he's 34 years old from Tracy, California.
He pleaded guilty yesterday to one count of computer intrusion.
He said he cracked the passwords of about 6,000 Yahoo accounts, and that's how he
got access. He faces up to five years in
prison for that hack. He said he
would primarily target younger women, including
his own personal friends and some
of his colleagues from work.
Now, you have a Yahoo account. Thanks, Envy.
Oh, sorry. Thanks, Takashi.
Sorry. Anything else you want to
tell people? Why don't you give them the password?
I don't know. I'm just asking.
Okay, good.
You know, it's interesting.
I was talking about that this morning behind the scenes, and I've never taken nudes or
anything like that, so it's not really something I'm concerned about.
Well, if you hack my Yahoo account, you're going to have all types of funny pictures
of me.
I send pictures to my wife all the time.
I know.
I saw that one.
You saw what?
The one where you're licking your own nipple.
I was like, how did Emmy do that? She showed you that? know. I saw that one. You saw what? The one where you're licking your own nipple. I was like,
how did Emmy do that?
She showed you that?
Yes.
And that was amazing.
Thank you.
Congratulations to that.
All right.
Well, that is your
front page news.
All right.
Now, like I said,
Emmy, you should post
that picture tomorrow
for Throwback Thursday.
No, I won't.
Charlamagne is not here.
Donkey today.
If you want to give
somebody donkey,
phone lines are open.
But coming up next,
you have no bones in your neck. DaBaby will be joining us. All right. So DaBaby is not here. Donkey today. If you want to give somebody donkey, phone lines are open. But coming up next. You have no bones in your neck.
DaBaby will be joining us.
All right?
So DaBaby will be here.
He got a new album out called Kirk.
And we'll kick it with DaBaby.
All right?
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning, everybody.
It's DJ, MV, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God.
We are The Breakfast Club.
We got a special guest in the building.
Yes, sir.
We got DaBaby.
That's right.
Not just DaBaby.
Stunner for Vegas as well.
Stunner for Vegas as well. Billion dollar entertainment. Billion dollar baby entertainment. Billion dollar baby entertainment. That's right. Not just the baby. Stunner for Vegas as well.
Billion dollar entertainment.
Billion dollar baby entertainment.
Billion dollar baby entertainment.
Yes, sir.
Straight out of the Carolinas.
Yes, sir.
Come on now.
Well, congratulations.
I appreciate you.
Real talk.
I'm proud of y'all, man.
Appreciate it. For real.
Everything you've done over the year.
How have you adjusted to the celebrity of it all?
Oh, man.
You know, it ain't the easiest thing in the world, but I just stay working.
You know what I mean?
I just let everything else fall into place, take whatever come with it.
You got a number one album, though.
That's what they're saying.
God, it's great.
You going 50 this week?
They saying?
We going for 200, Charlotte, man.
It could be more.
It could end up being more.
Yeah, we going for 200.
More than that, Arnold?
Okay.
He said yes.
All right.
Yes.
That's got to be a great feeling, though.
Absolutely.
That's sort of a blessing.
And really, like, we just heard the intro first before the album came out.
So is that something that you were like, okay, I don't want to put out a gift.
So we just put out the intro that's very personal.
Absolutely.
And then we got to wait.
Absolutely.
You know, I only made people wait four or five days after we dropped the intro.
But it's definitely how I wanted to set the tone for the album and just, you know, I only made people wait four or five days after we dropped the intro, but it's definitely how I wanted to set the tone for the album
and just, you know, get the fans and the listeners a different side of me,
let them really get to know me personally, you get what I'm saying,
let them know what all transpired in my personal life during my, you know what I mean,
my breakthrough.
Explain Kirk a little bit.
Some people don't know that Kirk is Kirk and what it means to you
and why you called your album Kirk.
Oh, big weight.
You know what I mean?
My pops, you know, my role model.
You get what I'm saying?
My role model.
You know, he the one told me never settle for less.
He the reason why.
That's where I get the deep voice from.
That's where I get this gone right now because I've been doing shows here and there.
Clearly taught you how to fight.
How?
Yeah, that too.
That too.
You know what I mean?
So it just, you know, the morals and everything.
I was brought up with everything to make me me, everything to separate me from the
pack, that came from him. You get what I'm saying? And for him to, you know, go unexpectedly
and then I go number one and then I take off after that, like right away, it's just crazy,
you know what I mean? So I felt like it wasn't nothing but him, you know, God and him.
It's nice that he got to see some of that success too.
Oh, for sure he did. He got to see it right when I broke through. He got to see the first Breakfast
Club. At the interviews, he texted
me. You know, he texted me critiquing.
You know what I mean? Yeah, I seen
this question right here where they tried to get nice response.
Ooh, not Breakfast Club. Y'all held it down.
Some, you know, I don't know. Yeah, but
you know, we ain't tripping. But yeah, like, you know,
he critique everything, man. And he, you know,
he give credit when it's due, but he said, alright, what's next?
And you really lost him the same day you hit number one in the show? Swear to God, the same time. Nah you know, he give credit when it's due, but he said, all right, what's next? And you really lost him
the same day you hit
number one in the show?
the same time.
Nah, nah,
it was baby on baby
and went like number one.
Okay.
It went like number one
on Apple Music, iTunes.
It was like number seven
or something like that.
And then I got the phone call
and my brother woke me up.
He be like,
hey, call your little brother.
My little brother, my dad.
So I call your little brother,
he DM me.
He woke me up.
I'm like, DMs you, what's up? Pick up the phone, I call him. Yeah, bro, dad, call your little brother. My little brother, my dad. So I call your little brother. He DM me. He woke me up. I'm like, DMs you. What's up?
Pick up the phone. I call him.
Yeah, bro. Dad, bro. He dead. He died.
I'm like, what? I set up on my bed. I'm like, what?
Same time.
Carter, he blowing my phone up.
Blowing me up. Blowing me up. Blowing me up. Blowing me up.
While I'm trying to figure out what's going on. I'm thinking he calling
to deliver the same news. I click over.
What's up, bro? We number one.
We number one. You did it. I'm like, damn. up, bro? We number one, we number one,
you did it,
you did it.
I'm like, damn.
He said,
I just looked at the phone,
my daddy,
I don't care about
none of that,
you know what I mean?
Got out the phone with him,
flew in the next day,
I did my little checks
and balances,
and then had to go,
I had to fly right back out
the very next day,
my first show on the tour,
and then I had a tour date
the day after that.
I'm on the tour bus, I'm typing tour date the day after that. I'm on the tour bus.
I'm typing obituaries
and shit,
finding pictures for it,
you know what I mean?
Organizing travel,
paying for flights
with people
I ain't never talked to
in my life,
you get what I'm saying?
You know,
it's just a whole bunch
going on
and I'm doing all this
while I'm breaking through
on tour
while I'm rocking
sold out shows,
you get what I'm saying?
People never know
what's happening
in your life.
Nah,
hell nah, they don't.
The one show I missed, they were mad as hell at me, man.
I had to do the show I did.
The night before, hop on a jet, fly in, go to the funeral.
After the funeral, I had to fly back out the same night, go to a show.
You get what I'm saying?
On a private jet.
You can't even really enjoy that.
Hell no.
You know what I mean?
But it was all good, though.
It was definitely therapeutic for me to be able to have, you know what I mean,
something to just keep me busy, you know what I mean, in the meantime.
And really, like, intro, I didn't even do no recording for a little minute.
And then my DJ, he a producer, too, and he engineer.
So we got like a DJ kid.
Here we go.
Hey, DJ kid, come on, slide over here.
He produced the intro.
So he way more than a DJ gonna send a producer
He he produced the number one song in the world right now
You know, I mean on the number one album in the world the intro you get what I'm saying
So we got like a a one studio set up here where we go that intro that was recorded like on a on a cruise
We was on I had a show on the way to Bahamas. We recorded in the hotel the Cali cruise. Yeah
Yeah, I think that was on it. That's exactly what it was. You know me
So he was playing around with some beats and I heard that i'm like oh like you that's
you i so load that up it's just dope man to be able to honor my father on the song with somebody
else that's with me every day grinding it out with me and then see the success of it it's just a
beautiful thing you get what i'm saying you're from the carolina school yeah and you ain't waste
no time like you ain't waste no time putting people on.
Come on, it's time for that.
Who we going to do it?
Yeah.
You know, that's definitely what we all about.
You know, we just did Jimmy Fallon last night.
Come on, bro.
Where you from, son?
Salisbury, North Carolina.
We just did Jimmy Fallon last night.
You know, that ain't normal at all.
Not normal at all.
I didn't even know what Jimmy Fallon was.
I just know it's a big deal talk show.
How's your mother?
Because in the intro you speak about her having cancer.
She had it down, man.
She whooped cancer.
I love you, boo.
It's interesting because we hear so many stories of brothers not having a relationship with their pops,
not having a relationship with their parents.
Oh, no, he was dumb.
Queens stay in the same.
I was with my mama.
He was in a completely different state, but my pops were different with him.
He was in the army early on in my life, so he was in a completely different state, but my pops, it was different with him, like, you know, he was in the army, like, early on
in my life, so he used to write me letters,
you know what I mean, and he was real big on
me and the education, that's why I talk
the way I talk, I articulate myself, I'm
four or five years old,
about, daddy, what dat is? That ain't how you
say that, what is that? You get what I'm saying?
You know what I mean? He
write me letters from the army, I'm, when I get
to writing, I'm like, five, six, seven years old.
I write him a letter.
He'll write me a letter.
I write one back.
This man is sending back with red ink on it.
It look like I turned him into an English teacher.
I swear to God.
Telling me what to do.
Capitalization, punctuation.
He really great in English.
I'm like, I'm six, seven years old.
But it turned me to a beast.
And when I write him back, I have everything.
And it just got to where I was just so polished, bro.
Does that mean you text well, too?
You know how some people don't?
But I don't really.
I like to text the way I talk, but I do.
It depends on who I'm talking to, not when I'm handling business.
You know what I mean?
And I encourage, like, people to text, right?
Like, a lot of times, like, I hate when people text me, like, spelling a certain way.
Like, bro, don't stop writing like that.
Like, I ain't trying to read that.
You get what I'm saying?
But this is like.
You talking to you, Sona?
Nah, I ain't talking about bro. He don't, bro, don't stop writing like that. I ain't trying to read that. You get what I'm saying? But this is like... You talking to you, Stunner? Nah, I ain't talking to my bro.
He don't really text.
You know what I mean?
You about to change
your name to The Baby?
He FaceTimed me.
The Baby,
you get what I'm saying?
I would be with that.
You know what I mean?
I wouldn't be...
I wanted to do that.
I swear to God,
that's honor.
When we first switched it,
I said, man,
The Baby.
I'm like, bro,
that's...
I'm like, bro,
that's not...
What you mean?
That's why Siri talking about Da Baby. Come on, bro. I'm like, bro, that's, I'm like, bro, that's not, what you mean? That's why Siri
talking about dabbing me. Come on, bro.
I'm like, what you mean?
It worked out, though. I'm glad we did the baby
because I like the, I like the text
I talk to, you know what I mean? So you can feel me,
you know what I mean? So it go either way,
but when it come to, like, grandma, like, writing papers
and, like, the night before the
paper was due, I write the whole thing and it's
still, you know, you're like an A on it.
You get what I'm saying?
You gonna be like that with your daughter?
Oh, absolutely.
I'm already like,
my daughter's so smart.
It's crazy.
You know what I mean?
She's so smart,
and I wish I could be around her more.
Like, I have it even crazier,
you know what I mean?
But she's so smart and beautiful.
Like, you know,
she's a split image of me.
How much has she changed you?
Oh, man, tremendously.
You know what I mean? I ain't give a damn. She gave me something to really live for. When I thought I had something to live with, she gave me an image of me. How much has she changed you? Oh, man, tremendously. You know what I mean?
I ain't give a damn.
She gave me something to really live for.
When I thought I had something to live with,
she gave me something to really live for.
All right, we got more with DaBaby.
When we come back, don't move.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Come on.
DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
We're still kicking it with DaBaby.
I know you love your fans.
Mm-hmm.
But do you ever say, you know what,
I got to stop jumping and walking through these crowds?
Man, I said it for a while, and as soon as I go back in, fans want to punch me in the back of the head.
Come on, bro.
They were mad at your security.
Did you realize that was a woman?
Yeah, Charlamagne.
Buddy went like this.
You see what I'm saying, buddy?
Like Waka Flocka.
I'm talking about hard in the paint Waka Flocka.'m talking about Hard in the paint
Waka Flocka
So that's my boy Flocka
Buddy was in there
Going crazy
Losing it
Buddy punched like
Three people
And Buddy happened to be
Old girl
You get what I'm saying
But at the end of the day
You know
What he's supposed to do
Knock me out
I know how easy it is
To get a knife in somewhere
This and that
You get what I'm saying
That could have been a knife
That could have
Poked me real quick
People act like Because you successful Because you a celebrity That people could do you fence somewhere, this and that. You know what I'm saying? That could have been a night that could have, uh, poked me real quick.
People act like because you're successful, because you're a celebrity, that people could do you any kind of way without no type of consequences.
And the law really let these people sue you and everything.
Like, they really let people, and they let them win, too.
You watch the video, and we got the HD video.
So, we got $16,000 cameras, two, three of them, all the time.
So, you know, we under surveillance, baby. You know, if it gets to the point where we got to, we can show the real, so we got $16,000 cameras, two, three of them, all the time. So, you know, we under surveillance, baby.
You know, if it gets to the point where we got to, we can show the real, but we were
walking off, got followed, got hit, boom.
They tried to neutralize the situation.
That's when somebody else got hit.
We continued to walk off, trying to get back to the front of the stage, got hit again,
back of the head.
That's when, boom, we turn and neutralize the situation, you get what I'm saying?
And then we walked off. I tried to continue the show. When did y, boom, we turned and neutralized the situation, you get what I'm saying? And then we walked off.
I tried to continue the show.
When did y'all realize
it was a woman?
When the internet told us.
Oh.
After finding out,
did you feel bad?
I know.
Because y'all don't hit no women.
I ain't feel bad.
What you hitting me for?
What you hitting me for?
You get what I'm saying?
I feel bad about the fact
that it had to be a woman
that it happened to,
but at the end of the day,
like, you know.
Security was doing their job.
Right. You know Nii from Catfish?
That happened to him in college.
No, he was in college and he got into a fight with a woman
in a party, but he didn't know it was a woman.
It was a stud. Did he win?
I don't know if he won.
That would have been a headline if a girl knocked you out.
That's bad. If she would have knocked you
out, boy. Maybe he got knocked out by a girl.
Y'all would have let me come up here. Yeah, we would. she would have knocked you out my Let me come up
Where's his security why did they allow that happen I came in here though We got we got the baby security came in and can't come to the mic't. And then people would have been like, where's his security? Why did they allow this to happen? I came in here, though.
We got the baby security came in here.
Kane, come to the mic, man.
I promise I won't hit the mic.
God damn you a big mother******, Kane.
Lord have mercy.
I didn't know that was.
He's too big to talk into the mic.
I did not know, bro.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
When I found out it was a girl, I felt bad.
I'm like, damn, I had a girl like that.
Like, I never punched no girl in my life.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Right.
They chopped me up, though, for that.
What was your mindset when it happened?
What did you see in that moment?
All right, so, at the moment, I see a dude wilding out, right?
Then the dude hits the baby in the back of the head.
I'm not going to wait for another punch to hit him in the back of the head.
Yeah.
So, I go to stop it.
And then, you know, I did what I did.
Fast forward the next day, it's like, that was a dude.
I'm like, I mean, that's a girl. That's a girl. Yeah. I'm forward the next day, it's like, that was a dude. I'm like, that's a girl.
That's a girl.
Yeah.
I'm like, I don't want no girl.
That's a dude.
They said, that's a girl, bro.
I'm like, ****.
So you feel bad about it?
I feel bad for hitting a girl like that.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But at the end of the day, it's like, she shouldn't have hit him.
You know what I'm saying?
It wouldn't have happened.
Yeah, and it's a tough situation to be in because, you know, you even think about
somebody put him in a coma.
And that was Cap, too.
Okay. ****, he wasn't in no coma. And that was Cap, too.
Okay.
He wasn't in no coma.
Buddy was on Instagram posting rap videos.
Buddy was trying to blow.
He was following this.
The promoter said, the promoter like, bro, go head home, bro. You do this to every artist, bro.
Watch out.
He following this from the car all the way to the little backstage,
to the little green, from the meet and greet area to the green room area.
The promoter sent us footage of it once Buddy put out the TMZ of Buddy following us.
And another thing,
that club owner, his security was on
strike that night because you wasn't paying
them boys. This man is outside the door.
Y'all club. Y'all letting him sit right here.
The second we come walking in to go into the
door, y'all let this man walk right past y'all.
Hey, baby, let me get a picture.
You know what I mean? Hey, watch out.
Back up. Bruh didn't even swing on him at first.
He's grabbing him.
I'm like, hey, get him.
I'm like, get your boy so we can go and do the show.
I got a mic in my hand.
They like this.
Let me.
Hey.
I just sat back and watched.
You know what I'm saying?
I sat back and watched the whole time.
That's cap.
That's big cap.
It's just hard to say security goes too far because it might be that time security don't go far enough.
And I end up gone.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Come on now.
You know, especially with the current events
that took place, you know,
especially when people want to, you know,
want to see what's up with you,
like they want to see what's up with me.
That was nice, though.
You turned that into a nice little...
What was that?
When you got into the fight in the,
what was that, Louis store, Gucci store?
Oh, yeah, I made about five and a half figures of T-shirts.
Why do people try you so much, man?
Because I'm pretty.
And my voice deep.
No, I told you before, because you the only one.
You in Charlotte.
That's the only one.
And then plus people, I think, see these videos,
and they're like, I'm going to be the one.
Right, for sure.
That's how it go.
Make it happen.
That's just how life go, period.
You know, when you see the person, you just feel like.
And I ain't even somebody to feel like I can't be touched.
I know I can be touched.
That's why I'm, you know, aware of what's going on. That's why I moved the right
way. That's the difference.
Do you get more paranoid or less paranoid
about retaliation from your past the more
famous you get? I don't trip on none of that.
You know, I'm out chill. Like, bro, I had so
much going on before I even rapped. You get what I'm saying?
Why I'm still so easily accessible
then, like, you know, which I'm
far more accessible now, but at the same time I'm very accessible easily accessible then. Like, you know, which I'm far more accessible now,
but at the same time, I'm very accessible.
Now, I got to tell you where I'm at.
They know I'm here now.
When I come outside, they, baby, baby, baby.
You get what I'm saying?
So it's too easy to be touched.
But at the end of the day, like, I walk with God.
You get what I'm saying?
Can we talk about the album for a second?
Let's talk about it, baby.
Let's talk about the song, iPhone, with Nicki Minaj.
I'm trying to stay above.
Y'all look at my voice.
I'm trying to stay above my iPhone. I'm just
going to give y'all that one.
Did that hurt when Nicki Minaj
was talking about how you be called
God's bro? She said, that's why I'm
in the n***a that I be calling my bro.
I almost died. I know, I felt like that.
That's one of them did me like that.
The world.
I got mad.
I'm going to find out.
She snapped too. I feel like you bring going to find out. But yeah, man, she snapped too.
I feel like you bring out the best in Nicki Minaj, man.
She went dumb.
I don't know what it is.
She went dumb.
When she did the baby, the sugar remix.
Yeah.
And then even on this, is there something about that energy you bring in that brings
out the best in Nicki?
For sure, man.
That's dope.
That's dope too.
That's an honor.
It's a pleasure to be able to do that, to be able to, you know, throw the alley-oop
and watch her finish, watch, you know,
somebody that's a legend, you know, in the game finish.
We hear guys talk about their side pieces all the time,
so it was good to hear the other side.
And it was good to hear, exactly, you know what I mean?
And really, she thought about changing that part of the song,
and I'm like, nah.
She's like, what you think?
Don't look emotional about it right now.
I don't mean to put our business out there.
Your side pieces.
I'm just saying, no, of course not.
But I'm saying it's good to hear.
Usually it's guys talking about it.
For sure, you got to have that perspective.
And a lot of times women have to deal with that.
But have you ever had an experience
where a girl had a side piece?
Or were you the side piece?
You seem like side piece material.
Damn.
I'm good side piece material.
He light-skinned.
You know what's happening with that envy.
You seem like the girl called you bro.
Right.
Son of a young, he don't give a shit.
Yeah, you get what I'm saying?
I'll be inside.
They slick, man.
But, nah, it's definitely dope to hear the female perspective on a song.
I feel like that's why Megan Thee Stallion got shit on, like, the way she got shit on, like,
because she pop, you know.
Everybody don't, you know.
Y'all females better quit acting like y'all always be sad.
Y'all cut though.
Right.
Hell yeah.
And I like that too.
That's the worst thing you can do is hurt a female feelings.
Boy, it's over.
You know what I mean?
Y'all, and I love the song that you have with Megan Thee Stallion.
You did some great, even before you put this album out, some great guest appearances.
For sure.
Shout out to the team.
That's the way we put that together.
We orchestrated that like that.
That was strategic?
Yeah, for sure. Just to, you know, stay's the way we put that together. We orchestrated that. That was strategic? Yeah, for sure.
Just to, you know, stay in their face without dropping new music and let the hits that we
put out, you know, blossom into what they were supposed to become.
All right, we got more with DaBaby.
When we come back, don't move.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
We're still kicking it with DaBaby.
Charlamagne?
You and May got a good bond, though.
It seemed like y'all coming up at the same time.
Y'all had similar situations.
Yeah, we definitely came in the game at the same time.
The way we did the song, it was given to me, you know what I mean,
from the label.
And they like, yeah, hop on that.
But since then, man, she dope, you know what I mean?
She dope.
She a great performer.
And with her being on fire at the same time, I'm on fire.
That's probably the artist I run into more than anybody.
I noticed when she back it up, you don't always get on it.
Is that because she got a man?
Yeah, I'm a respectful guy.
Okay, I noticed that the other day.
I saw y'all somewhere, and I was like,
why are you so far away from her?
No, I'm just a respectful guy.
Plus, he's been married since high school, so.
And I cut that out.
That was so damn funny.
Oh, my God.
Bro, that was so funny, dog. That was just too funny. Ooh, she got. Bro, that was so funny, dog.
Like, that was just too funny.
Ooh, she got off.
Shout out to her.
That's my dog, though.
I wouldn't, you know what I mean, even talk down on Sheldon.
In our school, we had a class called yearbook.
You had a class?
I thought it was a yearbook.
No, it was a class called yearbook.
I swear to God, the whole semester, they create the yearbook.
And I get the yearbook, and that's what it's saying. She didn't put it on. Which, you God, the whole semester they just, they create the yearbook. And I get the yearbook and that's what it's
saying though. She done put it on.
Which, you know, it's cute.
Hell no, man. I ain't high talk.
I got a wife. My beautiful wife.
Ashley Kirk.
Come on, man. That's my
dog. He used to let me drive a little silver car
and everything. You get what I'm saying? So it's all love, man.
I used to smoke weed at her house and all.
That was dope to see. That was cute.
That was cute as f***.
Cute.
Yeah, besides them
putting my family
with that s***
like that's them.
Like, cut that s*** out.
Sherry, don't play
with my family
because I don't want
the world thinking
they can play with my family
because you playing with them
because that ain't going,
you know,
I don't give a damn
about none of this
until the day.
Like, don't play
with my people, though.
I called and talked
to my daughter the other day
and my baby mother
picked up the phone.
I said, what's up, Ashton Kirk?
She's like, what the f***?
I ain't made no Ashton Kirk.
I ain't made no Ashton Kirk.
It was funny, though, man. It was funny, though.
So when you say, tell my bitch I'm faithful, but I still got the
holes, you're not dry snitching on yourself.
Tell my bitch I'm faithful, but I still got the holes.
What you mean, dry snitching? Because if you got a girl, you can't
say you still got holes. But don't nobody love me,
Charlemagne.
You still running the f***ing game? Why y'all think I'm playing? Because if you got a girl, you can't say you still got hoes. But don't nobody love me, Charlamagne. Don't do this again.
You still running the game?
Why y'all think I'm playing?
It's not me, it's you.
Y'all think I would not use me?
I'm trying to hold hands.
I'm trying to make TMZ.
No, we know you've been through a lot of heartbreaks.
For sure.
Come on now, listen to my music.
Yeah, he's been through a lot.
What was the heartbreaks?
Man, you know how it go, man. Life is life. I done only had to my music. Yeah, he's been through a lot. What was the heartbreaks? Man, you know how it go, man.
Life is life.
Aw.
I done only had like three girlfriends.
Shut up, man.
You can tell somebody lies by their mannerisms.
Yeah, you definitely ain't.
You snuggling.
I'm just a smooth n***a.
I'm really showing off the Gucci jacket.
You see what I'm saying?
But yeah, nah, like, you know,
I done really only had like three, four girls. I never really played like that. You get what I'm saying? I ain, nah, like, you know, I done really only had like three, four girls.
I never really played like that.
You get what I'm saying?
I ain't light-skinned.
What is I'm rich and wear d***?
Rich d***, what that mean?
Yeah, tell me what that is
because to me it means lazy.
Damn.

That's what I'm saying. I'm leaving. You can tell that, man. I'm leaving. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying.
Amy turned that way.
Amy looking out the window and...
I did need to put a little more effort in when I was broke, though.
I'm not going to lie.
That's what I'm saying.
It's a test of your...
It's really like a fact that broke guys are better.
That's why.
Hey, they trying to get in there.
They trying to sleep on your goddamn couch.
They want to use your car.
They want to use your car. You know, they got to lay it down. Bro trying to sleep on your goddamn couch. They won't use your car. They won't use your car.

Back in the middle of everything.
She know all my songs.
Tell a story of when you recorded this shit.
I heard the story the other day.
When I recorded this shit?
Man, I asked Arnold.
All right, bro, it's been two, three weeks.

Check from the label.
I want to know it's there.

And then I hear, before he even added the bass,

I'm beside him.
He hear me doing it, you know what I mean?
And then I went from that, and then I just started doing whatever.

He said, yeah, I just seen Suge, and they was talking about the songs.
It's an honor to be able to put it on.
But Nick went to go visit Suge.
I know a lot of people give my boy Suge a hard time.
Yeah.
You know.
Let's play something off the baby new album.
What's your favorite record?
I got some joints,

DJ Key.
Let's play Intro.

Always a pleasure.
It's the baby.
It's time for Vegas.

Yes, sir.
Is your country falling apart?
Feeling tired?
Depressed?
A little bit revolutionary?
Consider this.
Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this little bit revolutionary? Consider this. Start your own country.
I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like, this is mine. I own this.
It's surprisingly easy.
There are 55 gallons of water for 500 pounds of concrete.
Everybody's doing it.
I am King Ernest Emmanuel.
I am the Queen of Ladonia.
I'm Jackson I, King of Capraburg.
I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia.
Be part of a great colonial tradition.
The Waikana tried my country.
My forefathers did that themselves.
What could go wrong?
No country willingly gives up their territory.
I was making a rocket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
Bullets.
We need help!
We still have the off-road portion to go.

As a kid, I really do remember
having these dreams and visions,
but you just don't know what is going to come for you.
Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her
dreams. I think a lot of times we are built to doubt the possibilities for ourselves,
for self-preservation and protection. It was literally that step by step.
And so I discovered that that is how we get where we're going. This increment of small,
determined moments. Alicia shares her wisdom on growth, gratitude, and the power of love.
I forgive myself. It's okay. Like grace. Have grace with yourself. You're trying your best.
And you're going to figure out the rhythm of this thing.
Alicia Keys, like you've never heard her before.

Oh, my God.
I thought you forgot about that by now.
You were watching Sesame Street last night?
No, we watched the Joker yesterday.
Oh, I didn't know why you were doing that Elmo voice.
Yeah, the Joker's pretty dope, too.
But let's get to the rumors.
Let's talk $250 million.
She's spilling the tea.
This is the Rumor Report with Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club.
All right. This is the Rumor Report with Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club.
All right.
Well, let's talk about Matt Damon.
Apparently, he turned down what would have been worth $250 million for a role.
Do you know what that role was? What role was it?
Well, according to him, he said Jim Cameron offered him Avatar.
This is what he said to British GQ.
He said when he offered it to me, he said, now listen, I don't need anybody.
I don't need a name for this, a named actor.
If you don't take this, I'm going to find an unknown actor and give it to him
because the movie doesn't really need you.
But if you take the part, I'll give you 10% of it.
And when you do the math, that would have been about $250 million.
So he said he does regret that decision to pass on Avatar,
which has four sequels on the way.
But he said, yeah, I've left more money on the table than any actor, actually.
I mean, the bigger thing still to this day, my bigger regret is
it would have caused a problem for Paul Greengrass
and for all my friends on the Bourne ultimatum.
So I couldn't do it.
But Cameron said to me in the course of that conversation,
well, you know, I've only made six movies.
I didn't realize that.
Well, you know, when I first seen Avatar and they told me about Avatar,
I don't think I would have did it either.
It just seemed like a weird movie with blue creatures and all this other stuff.
I don't necessarily think I would have did it either.
Well, I don't think they would have offered you the role.
So it's not really...
If I was Matt Damon, you ass.
Not a situation.
Envy, can you imagine
They offered Envy
Avatar
You know I don't really
You know I don't know
About these blue creatures
And stuff like that
I've already done Smurfs
I did Smurfs
It's been done
Been there done that
Pass
Alright now let's talk
About rap beef
It all started with
Damian Lillard
Talking about Shaq
On Joe Bunn's podcast
And his rapping abilities
And Shaq fired back With this's podcast and his rapping abilities.
And Shaq fired back with this fire diss track. All right.
I love Shaq.
Shout to Shaq. Shaq hits me up all the time.
But.
Hold on.
Let's hear this response.
But. And then up all the time. But. Hold on. Let's hear this response. But.
And then you be the judge.
Damian Lillard actually fired back.
And the song is called Rain, Rain, R-E-I-G-N, Go Away.
Big name got big brand, but you corny.
Get bags, get purchased.
Every time you get horny, then they repo.
Love you when you was in beast mode.
Thought you thought you was a cheat code.
Know that you shoot for the cheap hoes.
Shoot any work like you freak those. Know you see my pockets deep, so. You flexing ain't really a thing, bro. Damian Lillard went in.
So who you got?
On that?
Mm-hmm.
Damian Lillard.
Damn.
Damian, he shocked me.
Shaq gotta come back.
He shocked me.
I didn't think Damian Lillard
could rap like that.
Shaq gotta come back at him.
He could've been a rapper.
He is a rapper.
No, he's a basketball player
that raps.
What?
Also, you could do both.
He gets busy.
I'm not going to front.
So you give it to Damian Lillard?
That battle, yes.
All right.
All right, now let's talk about Will Smith.
He is launching a Fresh Prince-inspired athleisure line.
Did you guys check it out?
Yep.
Actually, Dan, who works with us, he actually already bought some stuff.
Really?
It's called Bel Air Athletics.
It's all inspired by the Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
It's grounded in the rebellion and individuality that Will's character embodied on the show.
So it is limited edition and it's only available on his website until October 14th.
And you can get the reversible Academy track jacket that's inspired by the school uniform blazer that he wore on the show.
Inside Out.
That's $95.
They have a tie-dye t-shirt, Paisley print shooter sleeves,
and a Will Smith air freshener if you only want to spend $6.
And they have a Paisley print basketball that's called the Moneyball for $60.
You said the blazer, too?
Yeah, you want the blazer?
I would buy the blazer.
So buy it.
I think I will.
It's $95.
I would buy it.
I'd definitely buy it.
I'd probably be Will Smith for Halloween this year.
That's really creative.
All right.
Now, Waka tweeted out.
That or Joker.
I'm sure you'll be the only one.
So Waka put out an interesting tweet about what men's responsibility is in this world.
He said, men are not supposed to be happy, bro.
We're supposed to work like slaves,
pay all the bills,
do everything our women say and die.
Say that again?
I'm the only woman
in the room right now,
so what do y'all think?
Say that again?
Men are not supposed
to be happy, bro.
We're supposed to work
like slaves,
pay all the bills,
do everything our women say
and die.
I don't know
where he gets that from.
Who doesn't want to be happy?
I'm happy.
He doesn't want to be happy? He just wants to pay the bills and die? You don't know where he gets that from. Who doesn't want to be happy? I'm happy. He doesn't want to be happy?
He just wants to pay the bills and die?
You don't seem happy.
Was the Joker happy?
No, Joker was happy, but I'm happy.
I'm more than happy.
I love my kids. I love my life.
I love my wife. I do pay the bills.
And I don't want to die anytime soon. I don't know what's wrong with Waka Flocka.
Alright.
Any other guy in here feel that way? Nope.
Steve does. Our camera guy.
Of course he does. I mean, I get it, Steve.
If I were, never mind.
If you were his wife, what? I didn't say anything about
his wife. Go ahead. All right.
Well, I'm Angela Yee, and that's your rumor report. That wasn't
me, Steve. That was Angela Yee.
I'm just telling you.
I'm just telling you.
Okay. All right. Up next,
Donkey of the Day. Now, Charlemagne is out. If you want to
give Donkey to anybody you want, you can open.
You can call up right now. Phone lines are wide open.
800-585-1051.
Give Donkey of the Day to whoever
you want. Call us now. It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning. Is your country falling apart?
Feeling tired? Depressed?
A little bit revolutionary? Consider
this. Start your own country. I planted the flag. I just kind of looked out of like,
this is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy. 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete.
Everybody's doing it. I am King Ernest Emmanuel. I am the Queen of Laudonia. I'm Jackson I,
King of Kaperburg. I am the Supreme Leader of the Grand Republic of Mentonia.
Be part of a great colonial tradition.
The Waikana tried my country.
My forefathers did that themselves.
What could go wrong?
No country willingly gives up their territory.
I was making a racket with a black powder, you know, with explosive warhead.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
Bullets.
We need help!
We still have the off-road portion to go.
Listen to Escape from Zakistan.
And we're losing daylight fast.
That's Escape from Z-A-Q-istan on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

As a kid, I really do remember having these dreams and visions, but you just don't know what is going to come for you.
Alicia Keys opens up about conquering doubt, learning to trust herself and leaning into her dreams.
I got kids. It's a breakfast club, bitch. Who's donkey of the day today? Hello, who's this?
It's Freddie P.
Hey, Freddie P.
Who you want to give donkey to, bro?
I got two donkey of the days.
No, you have one.
No, just let me get two.
Angie, please, just one, two.
It's going to be real quick.
Say please again like that.
I want to give it to Trav.
I want to get Trav donkey of the day.
I'm calling in there with pointless conversations,
pointless questions, pointless statements almost every single day.
We got to sit there and listen to Trav with his pointless conversations.
Yeah, give him donkey of the day.
Don't let him drop no more clues, bombs, none of that stuff.
You missed Trav.
Right before I go.
Right before I go.
Right before I go.
I got to give DJ Clue.
I'm sorry. I got to give DJ Envy donkey of the Day the same music that he do every single day.
Every single day, the same music.
Every day.
Definitely need a Donkey of the Day, too, son.
Dan, you call them Clue by accident.
He definitely call me Clue by accident.
And like I tell him, I don't pick the music that the show plays.
We don't believe you.
Oh, my goodness.
I've seen you picking it.
Hello?
Yes.
Hey, Malcolm, who you want to give Donkey to?
Unfortunately, right, I got to give my Donkey of the Day to DJ Envy, man.
Oh, Lord.
They're coming for you.
It's not that I want to, right?
So let me tell you, I'm an extreme hip-hop hitter.
And Envy, I can tell that you are, too, because I'm a big fan of The Breakfast Club.
You know what I'm saying?
But, you know, it's a different time and day when you be talking about
how artists need to work hard and grind you know we're not carrying crates you know we got the
resources like the internet if back in the day you had instagram and the resources like the internet
or whatever the case may be the groundwork that you put in as a dj will be different you know
what i'm saying so you got to be able to give some of these artists a chance that really are good.
On top of that, when you drop that album that you dropped or whatever the case may be,
some of the people that you was working with personally was trash.
Are you a rapper?
Yeah, I rap.
Let me hear something.
Why not?
This is a great opportunity.
That's why you don't because nobody plays your records.
Now's your chance.
Go rap right now.
You better lose yourself.
You're not about to play me on the radio.
You a rapper.
You mad because I don't play your record?
You got to rap.
I'm giving you a shot right now.
No, I wasn't mad that you didn't play my record personally.
No, no.
What I'm saying is that
the artist that you co-sign,
that you work with personally, be so trash.
But you talk about how you won't give these other rappers no chance.
Now, I'm going to have to turn around and give you donkey.
Because he come from the hip-hop era.
He come from rappers that are really good.
And then he work with these other rappers.
Now, hold on, hold on.
I'm going to have to give him donkey because you're a rapper and you won't rap.
And you're on The Breakfast Club syndicated in over 90 markets in the morning.
This is your chance.
Bro, you know I haven't worked with a rapper in, like, 15 years.
You know that.
That's a lie.
Can you name a rapper that I worked with?
I can't name a rapper.
I'm talking about that mix that you put out or whatever when you was in the video or whatever
the case may be.
What mix did I put out?
Oh, no. Some people you was working with. Some reggae tone. be. What mix-in did I put out? Oh, no.
Some people you was working with, some reggae tone, some reggae.
Oh, Shalo Shaq?
Oh, my.
Oh, Shalo Shaq.
Oh, you don't know nothing about Latino music.
I can tell.
They was bad, Envy.
Google Shalo Shaq.
They was bad, Envy.
Google Shalo Shaq.
You know he gets about $20 million each time.
Listen, I'm not saying that they're not making noise.
I'm saying Envy, they not making noise. I'm saying envy.
They're not good.
We want to hear you.
Are you Spanish?
Are you Latino?
No, no, no, no, no.
I'm from Norfolk, Virginia.
You don't even know nothing about Spanish music.
You don't know nothing about Spanish music.
You're talking about a Spanish rapper that I work with.
Let me get a 10 on pump six.
And you want to get 10 on pump six?
You know what?
Did you just get regular gas?
Yes, he said regular gas.
Oh, my God.
I'm wet.
How he gonna talk about me?
He don't speak Spanish.
He don't know nothing about Latino music.
And he's on E and he only got $10.
And he only got $10 to put on pump 6?
And you mad at me?
No, the real reason I'm mad, though, is that he is a rapper and
would not rap. You can't be a rapper
that doesn't rap. That's like being
a DJ who doesn't DJ.
He said the light was on
and he put 10 on 6. You know what?
I've done that before, so I can't
really say anything.
You can't talk all ass back and only put 10 on 6.
Hello, who's this?
What's up, bro? Hello, who's this? What's good, Envy? What's up, bro?
What's good, Angela E?
Hey, what's good?
Felon.
What's good, mama?
This your boy Gary with Convicted Conversation.
How y'all doing this morning?
Why did you call him Convicted Felon?
I knew it was Convicted something.
I couldn't get the whole thing out.
Oh, my God.
Envy, you shot out, bro.
Hey, what's up?
Amanda Geiger definitely get donkey the other day.
First quarter, right at the gate.
She thought she was going to get away with killing that black dude.
And I'm talking about they gave it to her ass.
I'm with you.
They didn't give it to her yet.
Let's give her a lot of time.
You know, she's guilty.
Let's do it.
How much do you think she's going to get, Gary?
Ten years.
Ten years?
All right.
She might get ten years.
All right.
Well, thank you, brother.
All right, y'all. You have a good one. All right. That, thank you, brother. All right, y'all.
You have a good one.
All right.
That's donkey of the day.
Like I said, Charlamagne is not here.
So we open the phone lines up for you guys.
All right?
Yeah.
How do you think that went?
I mean, I don't know.
I don't know.
But anyway, up next is Ask Yee.
If you need relationship advice or any type of advice, call Yee right now.
800-585-1051.
It's The Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
The Breakfast Club.
Get some real advice with Angela Ye.
It's Ask Ye.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Ye, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
It's time for Ask Ye.
Hello, who's this?
Hi, this is Ingrid. How you guys doing this morning?
Good morning. What's your question for Yee?
Okay, Yee. I was married
for 24 years. My husband passed
five years ago. So
I'm basically trying to, I guess,
get back out there. It's
very difficult. Okay.
As far as meeting people, it's difficult.
Yes. And it's like, I've been married to the same person for 24 years and trying to get back out here.
And the guys are totally different.
Of course.
Yes, I can imagine.
And you're used to your husband.
You guys were together for so long.
So now it is different.
And anybody else different is going to be a comparison for you to what you had.
And it's starting all over again.
Yeah.
And I'm trying not to do that as well, the comparison thing.
Right.
And it's hard because I think sometimes in our head, we just do that.
Like you compare what you're used to and accustomed to.
And, you know, sometimes things just don't measure up.
But I think you have to be, and I know it's been five years and I'm sure you had, and
I'm sure you're still mourning, but there was a period of time when you didn't want
to do that.
But I will say that you have to be really patient with yourself and you have to be patient when you're dating,
right? That you can't have these really high expectations that this is going to be the one.
I think it's always good when you're dating to go into it as a friendship. Is this person going
to be a good friend to me? You don't have to feel pressure to say that's about to be my man. Is that
going to be my next husband?
Don't even go into it like that. And I think another
great thing that you can do is, I'm sure
your friends and family members
who are close to you know what you're
looking for. And if they have
people that they can actually
arrange for you guys to go out on group
settings, group dates, so it doesn't feel like a lot
of pressure just to come out and see if you
connect with somebody. I think that's a good thing to do.
Right, right.
Okay, well thank you so much for that. I really appreciate that.
Alright, Yvette, good luck. I hope you
find somebody at least
that you can have some fun and go on some
dates with. Right, right. Well, thank you guys.
Y'all have a great morning. You too, Yvette.
I ask ye
805-851-051
if you need relationship advice.
Hit Yee now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Come on.
Need relationship advice? Need
personal advice? Just need real
advice. Call up now for Ask Yee.
Keep it real.
Alright, good morning. It's Ask Yee. Who's on the line?
Good morning. Um, I'd
rather stay anonymous. Okay.
Anonymous. So, I have this ex and we've been kind of, I guess, dating for like about a year and a half now.
And we actually have like a four-month-old son.
Okay.
But I really need to break up with him because at this point, like, the relationship is getting abusive.
Oh, so he's physically putting his hands on you.
Well, yeah, not frequently.
At first, it was just
a whole lot of verbal things,
like saying some of the deepest
I've ever heard
anybody say to me.
And then, like,
once when I was pregnant,
I, you know,
I had just had surgery
and me and him got into it
and he, like,
pulled me by my hair
and smacked me. Wow. So that was, like, it. And he, like, pulled me by my hair. No.
And smacked me.
Wow.
So that was, like, the first time that, like, he, like, actually, like, butt hit me.
And then we just got into it about a week ago.
And he punched me, like, in my temple.
Oh, my God.
Girl, I can't.
Okay, first of all, let's just dig into this.
So you know you need to break up with him.
You guys do have a four-month-old together.
Is this what you want your four-month-old to be raised around?
No, not at all.
And I'm really more worried because I have a son, and he's old enough to see what's going on.
He happened to be asleep at the time, so he's never, like, seen him hit me.
But I just don't know how to.
Can I give you some real advice?
And this is a situation that one of my really good friends who I grew up with had gone through where she was being abused and they had actually two children together.
And I ended up having to take her to the police station to get a restraining order. And I think it is really important for you to go to the police station and file a report
when he does something like that
because it is illegal
and it could affect you later on down the line
as far as any situation with your kids.
You know, she had a situation
where he was trying to take the kids away from her.
And if she hadn't gone and got that restraining order
and reported the things that he was doing to her,
it could have been a huge legal battle.
And I want you to protect yourself.
So if that means you have to get a restraining order
to keep him away from you
and I don't know what you're going to do about visitation
and if you, you know, because I wouldn't
feel comfortable with somebody who is verbally
and physically abusive to me being around
my child, but you have to think about
not just you, you have to think about
your kids as well. Yeah
I mean, and I've called the police
a couple times, but I just have never taken it to that point to press charges. One. I mean, I have, and I've called the police a couple of times, but I just
have never taken it to that point to press charges. One of the times that I did call the
police, like he ended up like telling me like, I deserve to be like shot in my head and all this
other stuff. So when the police came, what I didn't know was he was like sitting by watching
and like, there's no, it's, I live in a small city so if I go that route
then that's really going to be
something to like cause him to
more than one hit. Look
he caused this on
himself so it's not your fault
that he's doing these things. He's
the one that has the problem and
do you love yourself and you care about yourself?
Yeah. And we love you
and we care about you too.
And I'm concerned that things could really escalate and get even worse.
But I think it's so important for you to go down to the police station today
and file for a restraining order and get yourself a lawyer
and figure out how to do those things because logistically you need to take care of that.
And I know it's hard.
Do you have a friend or a family member or somebody that can go with you?
Yeah, but I've never told them
that he's hitting me.
Is there anybody that you're
comfortable enough to speak with?
Yeah, I have a friend.
I think you need some people
and some support around you.
But hold on the line.
I'm going to get your information, okay?
Okay.
All right, thank you.
Hold on.
I ask Yee 805-85-1051.
If you need relationship advice, you can hit Yee anytime.
Now, Yee, we got rumors on the way?
Yes, Uncle Luke, he is speaking out about Jay-Z
and calling him the token black guy.
Find out what he had to tell TMZ.
All right, we'll get into that next.
Keep it locked.
This is The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are The Breakfast Club.
Let's get to the rumors.
Let's talk too short.
Listen up. It's just in. All thea Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. Let's get to the rumors. Let's talk Too Short. Listen up.
It's just in.
All the gossip.
Gossip.
The rumor report.
Gossip.
With Angela Yee.
It's the rumor report.
The Breakfast Club.
So Too Short was on TMZ Live, and congratulations to him
because he is, or did have a baby.
He's 53 years old.
Now, he did do lip service, and when he was on lip service,
he talked about not having any kids yet.
You don't have any kids out there anywhere that you...
There's some rumors, but...
I don't know.
There's no potential kids running around?
My other nickname was Skeeter.
Skeeter?
The pull-out king.
Yeah, but that don't work because there's, you know...
You can get pregnant by pre-c***.
Yes, you can. Well, it worked't work because there's, you know. You can get pregnant by pre-c**t. Yes, you can.
Well, it worked for me.
As far as you know.
I guess he lied, didn't he?
Well, no, now he does.
Oh.
Okay, clearly this was before he had any kids.
And he was the pull-out master and now he has a daughter.
So congratulations to him.
Imagine her later in life dancing to his music.
All right.
That would be kind of weird and strange, wouldn't it be, huh?
What's my favorite word?
All right.
He probably would love that, though.
No, he wouldn't.
His daughter singing along in the club.
No.
All right, Tyler Perry, congratulations to him.
He got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Mm-hmm.
And he wanted to dedicate that star to, quote,
the underdogs,
because he's been there before.
Check it out.
For all those people
whose dreams may be on life support, I want you to walk past this star in particular and know that I've been there.
If you're looking at all of these stars, I'm sure everybody has a story here on this who's
been immortalized here. But this one in particular is for the underdogs. This one in particular is
for the ones who want to do it their way. This one in particular is for those who want to bring
as many people through the door with them as they can.
So I am honored. I'm grateful.
I'm humbled. I'm a bit
confused because it's
all so overwhelming right now. I've got to take a moment
to take it all in. Yeah, he does say
that he thinks that when people walk past his star
he wants them to feel seen
and see his name and all of that. That's pretty dope.
He's opening up a studio I think this weekend in
Atlanta. So congratulations to Tyler Perry.
You going?
No.
Oh.
I got work.
I'm in Arkansas on Friday and I think Tennessee on Saturday.
Well, he also had Kerry Washington come speak, Idris Elba spoke and all of that.
So that's pretty dope for him.
I'm happy for him.
I'm glad to see a brother doing well and opening up his own studios and providing work for other people.
That's dope.
All right.
Now, Uncle Luke, he doesn't
have the best things to say about
Jay-Z as far as Jay-Z's connection with
the NFL. Uncle Luke was asked
about his comments about
Jay-Z and
why Uncle Luke said he has a problem
with Jay-Z working in the NFL. And here's
what he had to say. They're basically showing that
you know, hey, look, let me go get
a token black guy, throw him out there saying we're dealing with systemic racism, saying we're
having him involved with the entertainment. It was specifically said that Jay-Z is going to be
advising the NFL on systemic racism and the entertainment. Right now, that's the hell.
I'm all right with Jay. I love him to death. So I respect and I love the fact that everything
that he's doing,
you know, business-wise, but at the same time, this is a black guy.
I mean, I don't think Jay-Z is the token black guy.
He makes too much money for that,
and he cares too much about the culture and community for that.
We don't know what his involvement is with this Super Bowl,
if he has full involvement, and we don't know what else is planned.
So, I mean, I just don't like the fact that people judge
before we really know what's going on.
Well, you remember how mad we were in Atlanta
when they didn't have that much representation
when the Super Bowl was in Atlanta?
Correct.
So, Uncle Luke, obviously, he's from Miami.
He doesn't feel like that representation of J-Lo and Shakira
as headliners for the halftime show.
He's not feeling that.
But we still got Big Boy.
We got Sleepy Brown.
I mean, it's still a business.
They still got to create.
People were mad about Maroon 5.
They were mad about Maroon 5.
And let's be clear, they were the big headliner.
Right, but they have to have acts that satisfies everybody.
And I'm not mad at them having J-Lo and Shakira,
but they also have to have some Miami representatives as well.
I would love to see a Ross, a Pitbull, or a Flo Rida.
Right, and he said Pitbull and Flo Rida also. Right, but we don't know what's
going to happen. We don't know what the special guests are. We don't know
what's going to happen. You know, we got to give it a chance.
Let's see what happens. Alright.
So you want to give us a chance, the rapper?
If it was in Chicago. Oh, you just said we got to give it a
chance. I didn't know what you meant. And we got to give them a chance.
Oh, okay, okay. I hate you.
Alright, well, I'm Angela Yee, and that is
your Rumor Report. And hate is not a nice word to use
when you discuss people.
You can say dislike, but please no hate.
I hate and dislike you right now.
But they do say that your hate is your biggest fans.
I am.
I'm confused.
I'm the biggest fan.
Thank you.
Now, shout to everybody.
Shout to Bob Pittman, John Sykes.
Who else was there yesterday?
I can't remember, but we got
a chance to see The Joker early.
We seen a screening yesterday, and
I love the movie. I'm not gonna
lie. I'm not a DC fan. I'm not a comic
book fan. I don't watch the superhero
movies. I just like The Joker
in Dark Knight, and I thought it was gonna be
an amazing movie. It was. I was a little
confused at first. I thought it was gonna be like
action. Bang, bang. Shoot him up, but it wasn't. It was. I was a little confused at first. I thought it was going to be like action, bang, bang, shoot him up.
But it wasn't.
It was the origin of the character, the Joker.
And after I seen it, I did my homework and I was like, wow, it makes sense.
All right.
Great movie.
It comes out tomorrow.
You kind of didn't deserve to see it early.
Neither one of us did.
No, we didn't.
Because we're not like, you know, into it like other people are.
Right.
It kind of feels like it just wasn't fair.
But it makes me feel bad for like loners. People that are loners and really, really dealing with mental health and mental issues.
Like, our camera guy, Steve.
Like, I feel worse for Steve.
Steve does remind me of the Joker.
The Joker and him are pretty the same.
The Joker lives with his mom.
They're always sad.
He lives with his mom.
You know what I mean?
He has a job that he hates.
So, he kind of, like, if Steve comes up here dressed as the joke and he starts wilding out, I understand.
So he has his hands starting to grab me right now.
Well, thank you, Revolt.
Everybody else, the People's Choice Mix is up next.
800-585-1051 is the Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Morning, everybody.
It's DJ, MV, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy.
We are the Breakfast Club.
Now, shout out to everybody that called Donkey today a second ago. What's the least amount of money you put in your gas tank, Yee, Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are The Breakfast Club. Now, shout out to everybody that called Donkey today a second ago.
What's the least amount of money you put in your gas tank, Yee?
I've definitely put $10 in before.
There's been times I've put $5 in.
Probably I have never gone below $5.
I put $3 in the other day.
Yeah.
What?
And what happened was I didn't have cash.
Oh, by the way, you owe me money.
I do owe you money.
You want $3? But anyway, I put $3 in cash because I didn't have cash. Oh, by the way, you owe me money. I do owe you money. You want $3?
But anyway,
I put $3 in cash
because I didn't have any money
and the credit card part
was like 20 cents more,
10 cents more
and I didn't want to
give him that money
so I just put $3 in
just to get to work.
And the guy was looking
at me crazy
because I was driving
an expensive car.
He was like, $3?
I was like...
Did you get regular gas?
No, I can't get regular gas.
I got super
but I still put $3.
$3 super?
How far does that take you?
It took me to work. It got me here back to get to the gas station. I got super, but I still put $3. $3 super? How far does that take you? It took me to work.
It got me here back to get to the gas station.
It got me here.
All right.
Well, on that note, I want to shout out somebody who sent me the sweetest email.
Okay.
In my booking email, Terrace J.
Terrace J?
I know her.
Terrace is her name.
She said, hi, Yee.
Wanted to share this with you.
I hope you know how inspiring you are to all the young girls like myself.
Thank you.
This touched me this morning.
And she had a whole
PowerPoint presentation about me.
And it said, my biggest influencer. I guess she probably
had to do this for school. Yeah.
And she sent it to me. And it was really sweet.
So thank you, Terrace J. Things like that
mean a lot to me. I'm sure she was lying.
But shout out to her. Oh my gosh.
I'm just joking. Shout out to Terrace J.
Terrace! Oh, Terrace J.
Shout out to Terrace J. Youace! Oh, Terrace J.
Shout out to Terrace J.
You know what's crazy?
You looked up to DJ Clue as a DJ.
I did.
When you were coming up.
No one looks up to you.
A lot of DJs actually do.
A lot of DJs actually do.
That sucks.
Dramos does.
I do, I do. See, Dramos does.
See, Dramos does.
Dramos doesn't count.
I didn't even know.
He calls himself DJ Dramos.
He never DJs.
You know what he does?
He runs the boards up here.
Damn, you used to a staff.
Okay.
Goodness gracious.
I am the Joker today.
And shout to the baby for stopping through.
The baby's new album, Kirk, is out right now.
Number one album, so congratulations to him.
Yep.
All right, when we come back,
positive notice to Breakfast Club.
Good morning.
Morning, everybody. It's DJ
Envy, Angela Yee,
Charlamagne Tha Guy. We are the Breakfast
Club. I got your positive
note of the day today because Charlamagne's not here.
Okay, go ahead. Now, before I do that, I want to let
y'all know that Lip Service Live is coming
to a city near you. That tour kicks off on
October 20th, and we have
confirmed some really exciting special
guests. I've sent those pictures in.
I'm waiting for those flyers to come back so I can let
you know who's going to be in each city. But this
is going to be thrilling for us. So make sure you get your
tickets because they are selling out in some cities now.
So get your tickets soon. And the
positive note for today in honor
of lip service is you have to lick it
before you stick it. Alright? There's steps to this.
You have to lick it
before you stick it. You have to lick it before you stick it. All right? There's steps to this. You have to lick it before you stick it.
You have to lick it
before you stick it.
You have to lick it
before you stick it.
Breakfast club, bitches.
You all finished
or you all done?
Had enough of this country?
Ever dreamt about
starting your own?
I planted the flag.
This is mine.
I own this.
It's surprisingly easy. 55 gallons of water, 500 pounds the flag. This is mine. I own this. It's surprisingly easy.
55 gallons of water, 500 pounds of concrete.
Or maybe not.
No country willingly gives up their territory.
Oh my God.
What is that?
Bullets.
