Starting point is 00:02:30 Listen to Crooks everywhere on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. We'll be right back. The coveted morning show, which I earned it. Impacting the culture. They wake up in the morning and they want to hear that breakfast call. The world's most dangerous morning show. We in the mother, we in the house. Good morning, USA! Yes, it's Thursday. Weekend's almost here. I feel great. It definitely got me eight hours of sleep last night. Eight, nine hours. Yeah, I don't even remember what time I fell asleep. I know it was in the single digits, though. Maybe around eight something.
Starting point is 00:03:51 That's a nice feeling. That's great. Last words I heard was my daughter saying, what you doing? I said, I'm in the bed. She said, you going to sleep? I don't think so. But I didn't wake up until this morning, damn it. That's good.
Starting point is 00:04:02 All right, that's a great feeling. That's good. I left here and I worked at the Juice Bar all day. We had this Juice Bar in Brooklyn. So I worked that's a great feeling. I left here and I worked at the juice bar all day. We had this juice bar in Brooklyn. So I worked there until last night from when I left here until then. I'm exhausted from that. Not me. I got eight hours of sleep.
Starting point is 00:04:14 But the problem with being there is that you end up sampling a whole bunch of different things. And I don't think you should have like that many, you know, because you make them and then you get a little sample cup. You're like, let me try this.
Starting point is 00:04:23 I never had this one before. I wonder if you can OD on juice. Not OD on it, but drink so much of it that the effects of it don't affect you. Well, what it is is you don't really want to have stuff that has all fruits in it because that's a lot of sugar. So you always have to add vegetables. You never want to have too many. Even though fruits are good for you, too much of it is too many sugars.
Starting point is 00:04:41 I need my green juice and ginger right now for breakfast, damn it. Well, I watched a troll movie. My kids love this troll movie. It's like the 10th time I'm watching it. I don't know. It's called the troll movie, and they watch it, and they know every part of it. Right before it happens, they go, Dad, watch. And then they act out that part,
Starting point is 00:04:57 and I'm like, y'all want to watch it again? That's like when I was growing up watching Menace. That's it. And Boys in the Hood. Menace? And Juice. No. Oh, and Waiting to Exhale. And The Lion King. This is a cartoon.
Starting point is 00:05:08 And My Girl. They said it's like watching Menace. No. It is. This is a cartoon. That's what it was like for me. Oh, my goodness. I knew every word. The only movie cartoon I could think that I used to like like that as a kid was The Lion King.
Starting point is 00:05:18 That's the only one. You didn't watch G.I. Joe? Yeah, but that's not like a kid cartoon. I was like, yeah. That wasn't a movie. That was a TV series. All right. What else? Let Yeah, but that's not like a kid cartoon. I was like, yeah. That wasn't a movie. That was a TV series. All right, what else? Let me see cartoon that I remember as a kid.
Starting point is 00:05:29 Let's talk about movie now. Like how you said you watched that troll movie over and over. Lion King is the only one. I still watch Lion King to this day. I even watched the Lion King movie that comes on. It's not a movie. It's a TV show that comes on Nick Jr. What about Ratatouille?
Starting point is 00:05:42 Disney, one of them. I never was into Ratatouille. Yeah, I never was into it either. I used to know too many people that looked like Ratatouille? Disney, one of them. I never was into Ratatouille. I never was into it either. I used to know too many people that looked like Ratatouille. I used to know people in real life that looked like Ratatouille. You know I've never seen The Lion King? I don't have children. I don't have children.
Starting point is 00:05:55 Wow. Angela never been to Disney World. She never seen The Lion King. She never really had a childhood. This is sad. This is bad. You like Michael Jackson. Yeah, pretty much.
Starting point is 00:06:03 You never had a childhood. Yeah, you never had a childhood. Wow. You never saw. This is bad. You like Michael Jackson. Yeah, pretty much. You never had a childhood. Yeah, you never had a childhood. Wow, you never saw The Lion King? I never saw it. Wow. I know that's generally what it's about. You've been to the circus as a kid, huh? You know what?
Starting point is 00:06:15 Oh, boy. My mom took us to the circus. You don't know how Mufasa died? One time. Mufasa dies? Oh, my God. Did I just spoil it for you? Well, forget it.
Starting point is 00:06:24 I don't need to see the Lion King. You only been to the circus one time as a kid? Well, she took me and my mom said I started crying because I didn't want to miss cartoons, so we left. So you've never really been to the circus? You don't know who Rafiki is? I've been to the Universal Circus now. Have you been to the zoo? Yes.
Starting point is 00:06:40 I can't believe you don't know who Rafiki is. Yeah, this is bad, Yee. This is bad. You don't know Timon and Puma? These reggae tone artists? This hurts. These reggae tone artists. My goodness.
Starting point is 00:06:52 My goodness. Now, comedian DC Young Fly will be joining us this morning. Yes. We'll kick it with DC Young Fly. He got a new gig, a new job. The new host of Total Request Live, TRL, is coming back on MTV, and DC Young Fly is the host. Alright. Now let's get the show
Starting point is 00:07:07 cracking. Front page news, what we talking about? We'll talk about a hip-hop artist who has been charged with murder for stabbing a homeless man. What? Wow. Alright. Well, we'll get into it. I missed that one. We'll get into all that when we come back. Keep it locked. It's the Breakfast Club. Good morning. It's Kendrick Lamar. Morning, everybody. It's DJ
Starting point is 00:07:23 N.V. Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. Let's get in some front page news. Now, the Hall of Fame game is tonight. What's the Hall of Fame game? I don't know. It says Dallas versus Arizona. What's the Hall of Fame game?
Starting point is 00:07:37 Football. Football. Yeah, they said Dallas is playing. I don't know. I thought maybe you would know. My Cowboys? Is the Cowboys playing? The old players or new players?
Starting point is 00:07:47 Hold up. The preseason started already? Yes. What's today's date? It starts tonight. On the 3rd. That's kind of early. I thought the same.
Starting point is 00:07:53 Dang. Hall of Fame game. Ain't that kind of early for the preseason? Yeah, man. The Cowboys. Wow. It's official. We back, baby.
Starting point is 00:08:01 Drop on the clues bomb for football. You went to bed too early. I still did. I have no idea what's going on. That's it. Hall of Fame. None Clues Bomb for football. You went to bed too early. I still did. I have no idea what's going on. None. See what you miss when you go to bed at 8. I was thinking the old place. Put the jersey back on to play football.
Starting point is 00:08:12 I had no idea the preseason starts tonight. Wow. All right. Well, now let's find out which hip-hop artist was charged with murder. Rapper Kid Creole, he's one of the founding members of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, has been charged with murder. Rapper Kid Creole, he's one of the founding members of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, has been charged with murder. Now, his real name
Starting point is 00:08:29 is Nathaniel Glover. What they are saying they believe happened is basically he got into a shouting match with a homeless man and ended up stabbing him. What?
Starting point is 00:08:40 Yeah. Come on, man. Just stabbed a homeless person? First of all, you're supposed to just walk off from a homeless person. Now, Glover was actually working near the scene of the killing. He's a handyman and a security guard.
Starting point is 00:08:50 He was on his way to work when all of this went down. By the way, just in case you don't know who Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five is, they have the song White Lines and The Message. Just for everybody to know out there, they also were the first hip-hop group inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They were the first hip-hop act to ever enter that ceremony. I'm trying to get my board off to find the music, but he's looking at me like I'm crazy.
Starting point is 00:09:10 I mean, this is a teachable moment for the kids, but, you know, the OGs, though. But I don't understand. Like, there's got to be more to the story. He just got into an argument with a homeless person? Like, I don't... Well, what they are saying, because they found out who it was from surveillance video.
Starting point is 00:09:23 Cops approached the man. They thought he was just drunk, the homeless man, but it turns out they it was from surveillance video. Cops approached the man. They thought he was just drunk, the homeless man. But it turns out they saw a stab wound. They took him to the hospital. And that's where he was pronounced dead. Apparently, they are saying they didn't know each other. But Kid Creole thought that the man was coming on to him. What?
Starting point is 00:09:39 Whoa. Mm-hmm. Listen. There's got to be more to this story. This is all we know so far. There's got to be more to this story. But apparently, there know so far. There's got to be more to this story. But apparently there was like a shouting match, and I don't know exactly what happened.
Starting point is 00:09:49 Yeah, but if you live in New York City, you know, you see homeless people all the time, and a lot of them do be yelling and screaming, but a lot of them suffer from mental illness, right? According to TMZ, there was a gay slur used, and then I guess Kid Creole had an angry reaction to that, and everything just escalated. Now, if you do run up on some of these OGs
Starting point is 00:10:07 and you say things like, you know, suck my D, or you call them the gay slur that rhymes with maggot, they will react a certain way, because that's just old-school principles. You don't disrespect somebody in that manner. Right. But stabbing and killing them? No, no, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:10:22 All right. There's got to be more to this story. What else you want to talk about, E? Let's talk about this texting suicide case, because today is the day that Michelle Carter, she's facing 20 years, she'll be sentenced. And they are looking at text messages between her and her boyfriend. It was six days of testimony. They're trying to see if she's going to be given any jail time.
Starting point is 00:10:38 Basically, she encouraged her boyfriend at the time to kill himself, to commit suicide. And when he told her what he was doing, she did not at any point alert authorities. So she has a failure to act. And she put him in a toxic environment. It constitutes reckless conduct. And that conduct, they said, did cause
Starting point is 00:10:58 the death of Mr. Roy. She was only 17 when it happened. This was back in 2012. So at that time she was 17. I was only 17 when it happened. This was back in 2012. So at that time, she was 17. I mean, that's heartless. Yeah, very heartless. But to put her in jail, 17? Well, she's not 17 now.
Starting point is 00:11:14 But he was inhaling carbon monoxide in his pickup truck. Oh, no, actually, this happened in 2014. But they were looking at messages from 2012. I guess she was always encouraging him. Encouraging him. Yeah, to commit suicide. She did not tell him to get out of the truck. And the text messages, she didn't call the police.
Starting point is 00:11:30 After hearing his last breaths during a phone call, she was on the phone with him. Where's the compassion nowadays? Like, I look at this story. I look at the story. Remember the five boys that was watching the guy drown and they didn't do anything? There's no compassion anymore. Nobody cares. That's because people are dying.
Starting point is 00:11:45 How could you be on the phone with somebody who is in the middle of killing himself and not say, get out of the car, or not call the authorities? Or not call the authorities. Well, that's because people are desensitized. This is crazy. To death.
Starting point is 00:11:55 If you go on social media, you go on Instagram, you see so much violence all the freaking time. That's your boyfriend. But still, compassion? I mean, your daughter, how old is your daughter? Your oldest? Nine. Now, your older daughter, your oldest daughter is seeing something bad happen.
Starting point is 00:12:08 Don't you think she's going to say, oh, you know what, I'm going to call the police, at least call my dad? I would hope so. Absolutely. This just seems so crazy. Goodness gracious. All right. Well, that's front page news. Get it off your chest.
Starting point is 00:12:19 800-585-1051. If you're upset, you need to vent, call us right now. Maybe you had a bad night, bad morning, vent. Call us. Maybe you've never seen Lion King. I can't believe this. This is sad. Or been to Disney World.
Starting point is 00:12:31 My mentions are crazy right now. I think not seeing Lion King is probably the worst offense that Angelique has ever committed. I'm going to be honest with you. You've never seen Lion King? Worse than Disney World? I've seen it. Yes. Everybody's been to Disney World.
Starting point is 00:12:41 Nah, not really. Everybody ain't been to Disney World. We're not all that privileged. Yeah, exactly. Everybody ain't that privileged to go to Disney World. Nah, not really. Everybody ain't been to Disney World. We're not all that privileged. Yeah, exactly. Everybody ain't that privileged to go to Disney World, but everybody pretty much has seen the Lion King. My parents drove from Queens, New York, to Disney World, and we stayed in a hotel outside.
Starting point is 00:12:54 My car wouldn't have made it. Nope. Yeah, I can understand not seeing Disney, going to Disney World, but Lion King, no. All right, well, call us up right now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 00:13:08 Get it, pick up the mother-mother phone and dial. This is your time to get it off your chest, whether you're mad or blessed. Say it with your chest. We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club. So you better have the same energy. Yeah. Hello, who's this?
Starting point is 00:13:20 Yo, this is Brian. Hey, Brian, get it off your chest, bro. Hey, I'm blessed today. I got a great family. I got a great wife and two wonderful kids. And Charlamagne, the God, man. I appreciate your book, brother. It's very inspiring.
Starting point is 00:13:33 Thank you, brother. Black Privilege is out right now. Yes, sir. I got it. My wife bought it for me. Hey, I was calling. I'm from Canton, Ohio, where the Hall of Fame game is. I'm surprised you never heard of the Hall of Fame game. It's about the only thing in Canton, Ohio, where the Hall of Fame game is. I'm surprised you never heard of the Hall of Fame game.
Starting point is 00:13:45 It's about the only thing Canton, Ohio, I got to brag about. But it's the Pro Football Hall of Fame. That's where all the Ashwinese go to get retired into a Hall of Fame for the NFL. But the first game of the season is held at my old high school football stadium, McKinley High School right there. They just rebuilt it. They put about $500 million into it, and it's a beautiful place now. So Dallas is coming to town.
Starting point is 00:14:10 I was up there yesterday, and I seen them Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. Oh, boy. Oh, God. That's what you're looking at. That's the only thing you should care about is the cheerleaders because the team sucks. I just wanted to say that. I'm hating.
Starting point is 00:14:20 Hello, who's this? Yeah, Donovan from Virginia Beach. What's up, bro? You upset? I'm upset about two things. Go ahead. Number one, my job, they're calling me at 530, knowing I get up at 6 to go pick up a package.
Starting point is 00:14:31 But that's not really that serious. And the second thing is, I'm tired of people saying, Lion King is better than a goofy movie, man. That really gets me upset. Better than what? Oh, stop it. First of all, the Lion King watches the goofy movie. I don't even know what the goofy movie is.
Starting point is 00:14:44 The goofy movie don't even have any deeper meaning. The Lion King, if Lion King watches the Goofy movie. I don't even know what the Goofy movie is. The Goofy movie don't even have any deeper meaning. The Lion King, if you read my book, Black Privilege, opportunity comes to those who create it. The whole last chapter is damn near about Lion King because the Lion King symbolizes the struggles of the black man in America. What's the Goofy movie? It's not the Lion King. That's all you need to know.
Starting point is 00:15:01 All right. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you're upset, you need to vent. Hit us up right now. Or if you feel blessed, call us up right now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Starting point is 00:15:10 The Breakfast Club. Get it. Pick up the mother-mother phone and dial. This is your time to get it off your chest. Whether you're mad or blessed. Say it with your chest. We want to hear from you on The Breakfast Club. So you better have the same energy.
Starting point is 00:15:26 Yeah. Hello, who's this? This is Jaron. Hey, Jaron. Are you upset this morning? You mad? You want to vent a little bit? I need to vent a little bit, bro. Go ahead, bro.
Starting point is 00:15:35 Man, let me tell you something, man. I'm a police officer, right? Mm-hmm. Know what I'm saying? And last night ran into a condo with a young man, black male. I'm a black person myself. I'm a black cop or whatever. And, you know, he put himself in a situation where it made it look like he was breaking into somebody's car,
Starting point is 00:15:55 which the car was actually his, but I stopped him. I said, hey, man, just trying to find out if he lives there, you know, whatever. Now, you said he made himself a situation. What situation was it? You know, I'm driving, you know, riding around hitting the streets or whatever. Now you said he made himself a situation. What situation was it? You know, I'm driving, you know, riding around hitting the streets or whatever, and I look, and he's in his car, which at
Starting point is 00:16:12 the time, I don't know it's his car, but he's in his car, and he's kind of underneath the dashboard, so it kind of looks like he's breaking into the car. Okay, so he's underneath the dashboard, so you wanted to see what was going on. Yeah, so I stopped him. I said, hey, young man, I said, hey, you know, just real quick, you know, is this dashboard, so you wanted to see what was going on. Yeah, so I stopped him. I said, hey, young man.
Starting point is 00:16:26 I said, hey, you know, just real quick, you know, is this your truck to get lifted or whatever? He goes to 10. Takes it somewhere it don't have to go. He probably was offended because that probably happens to him all the time. In his car and you harassing him? But, see, this is the thing, though. It's not harassing. I was cool, calm.
Starting point is 00:16:44 I said, hey, man, I'm just talking about, you know, the lift here, you know, whatever, though. It's not harassing. I was cool, calm. I said, hey, man, I'm just trying to find out, you know, do you live here, you know, whatever, whatever. So he goes to 10. I say, hey, man, calm down. I'm not, I'm trying to, I'm not slamming you. I'm not, I'm trying to talk to you like a, like, hey, man, just, hey, let me know if you live here. Not answering me going to 10. My mom and that man side. Okay, so I go to talk to the parents.
Starting point is 00:17:03 The parents just as mad as him. And I'm like, y'all calm down. It's not that serious. It is kind of that serious, man. If you tired of getting profiled. Would you have done that to a white person? Serious question. Yes, yes, yes. I don't believe you.
Starting point is 00:17:19 Yes, yes. But see, that's the problem. Whenever there's a cop involved, everybody immediately just jumps to the negative, which, okay, I do understand. That's true. Well, especially if you're not doing anything wrong and somebody comes into your house and you're in front of your house
Starting point is 00:17:32 and a cop is asking you, do you live here, but you haven't done anything. But this is the issue that I'm trying to explain to people, especially black people, because I'm like, listen, you're standing in front. You are inside of a truck. My truck.
Starting point is 00:17:48 And three o'clock in the morning. My truck. But again, how would I know it's your truck? I understand what you're saying, but you know what? Like, for somebody who's been pulled over numerous times, the same situation, I go to 10 quick because, like he said, I'm in front of my house minding my business. All though you doing your job is prior history of him getting pulled over and harassed, which puts me on tent.
Starting point is 00:18:07 And the reason I'm so on tent is because I know I'm doing nothing wrong. Yeah, I'm under my dashboard, under my car, in front of my house. And I really want to be, I really want to say, leave me the fuck alone. You know? Yeah, but like I explain to people all the time, I'm like, look, I'd have been in that same situation too, man. I'm a black person myself, but don't make it hard on me when I'm not trying to make it hard on you. I'm not catching that attitude. I'm not talking to them crazy.
Starting point is 00:18:35 I'm just trying to talk to them like, and I try to explain to them, hey, man. And I try to talk to black people and be like, look, man, I'm a black person just like you. You know what I'm saying? There's a way to handle stuff, but you can't immediately jump to 10. And you can't immediately assume every black man that's in their car in front of their house is a suspect. So it works both ways, sir.
Starting point is 00:18:56 But I don't, though. That's the thing, Charlamagne. It's a tricky situation because you're trying to do your job to make sure somebody's not robbing this house, but he's just doing his thing. So it is tricky, but it also comes down to police-people relationships. You know what I mean? We don't have a great relationship, so the first thing I'm thinking is, you're profiling me.
Starting point is 00:19:13 And a lot of times, black officers are worse than white officers. It seems like they're harder on me than a white officer would be. I don't know why, but it always seems like that. But honestly, I can't tell you. It may seem like that, but a lot of times, to be totally honest with you, me being a black person, that's an officer, trying to do my job. A lot of times, black people give me a hard of a time than white people. And I'm like, whoa.
Starting point is 00:19:41 I'm like, hold on, man. I'm not out here. I'm just trying to do my job. I'm not cussing you out. I'm not out here. I'm just trying to do my job. I'm not cussing you out. I'm not slamming you. I'm just trying to, you know, regain that trust. Because like I said, I'm black. I done been pulled over before.
Starting point is 00:19:52 I done been in the same way. But at the same time, when you have somebody that's your own, don't make it hard on me when I'm not making it hard on you. I get what you're saying. Because if somebody was at my door and it was under my thing, I would want making it hard on you. I get what you're saying because if somebody was at my door and it was under my thing, I would want you to check them too. But if it was me, it's a tough one. But
Starting point is 00:20:11 just be careful out there, bro. Respect is warranted on both sides, man. Absolutely. Oh, yeah. I can definitely say that. But a lot of times, too, I will say this. A lot of times, I can say something to a black person and they jump down my throat. But then the white cop can say something. And this is your nurse, sir.
Starting point is 00:20:27 And I'm like, whoa. Right. Well, I expect leniency. I expect leniency from you, sir, because you're black. You should understand. Have a good day, sir. Where you calling from? Oh, I'm calling from Texas, bro.
Starting point is 00:20:37 All right. Be careful out there, bro. Get it off your chest. 800-585-1051. If you're upset, you need to vent. You can hit us up at any time. Or if you feel blessed, hit us up. Now, you got rumors on the way?
Starting point is 00:20:47 Yeah, let's continue with Get It Off Your Chest, and we'll tell you who is venting on Instagram. And that is going to be Justin Bieber explaining himself, as well as Tyrese's wife, Samantha Lee Gibson. All right, we'll get into all that when we come back. Keep it locked. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning.
Starting point is 00:21:03 The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Wow. Wow. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. Good morning on this Thursday. What's happening?
Starting point is 00:21:15 Top of the morning to you. What's happening? All right. Well, let's get to the rumors. Let's talk Justin Bieber. It's about time. What's going on? Rumor report. Rumor report. This is the rumor report. Talk to going on? Rumor Report.
Starting point is 00:21:25 Rumor Report. This is the Rumor Report. Talk to them. With Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club. Well, we told you about Justin Bieber canceling the remainder of his tour, so now he's posted an Instagram message for his fans saying that he's grateful for this journey with all of you. I'm grateful for the tours, but most of all,
Starting point is 00:21:43 I'm grateful to get to go through this life with you. He said, learning and growing hasn't always been easy, but knowing I'm not alone has kept me going. I let my broken relationships dictate the way I acted toward people and the way I treated them. I let bitterness, jealousy, and fear run my life. I am extremely blessed to have people from
Starting point is 00:21:59 the past few years help me build my character back up, reminding me of who I am and who I want to be. He's finding himself again. Yes, he is. He went through that whole thing where he was the industry god and probably treated people like feces and he realized that's not the way. Right, so he's
Starting point is 00:22:16 learned his lesson and I guess he just had to kind of cancel the tour, get back to himself in order for him to I guess not go through whatever he's going through. I told y'all that comedy roast was the exorcism of Justin Bieber. They was going to take all that N-word out of Bieber and then give you a nice, shiny new toy, and that's exactly what they did.
Starting point is 00:22:35 All right, in the meantime, he's going to be selling some T-shirts. He's actually selling some white T-shirts for $30 a pop, and you can buy them. No, no, no, no, no. He's trying to cash in on the fact that Target has discontinued most emo T-shirts for $30 a pop, and you can buy them. No, no, no, no, no, no. He trying to cash in on the fact that Target has discontinued Mosey Moe t-shirts, and he going to try to sell some expensive-ass $30 t-shirts? I was looking at these t-shirts. They really are just if you have. Real regular.
Starting point is 00:22:57 Real plain, just a white tee. You better put them $9.99 the way Mosey Moe was in Target, damn it. All right, now Tyrese is a newly married man, Samantha Lee Gibson, and I guess for some reason she's sick of people talking ish about her, and she went on Instagram to let people know, there's people who treat me
Starting point is 00:23:13 like I've made it because of the man that I happen to be married to. No, I considered myself successful before I even gave him the time of day. I worked my behind off in high school,
Starting point is 00:23:22 achieved high grades, worked multiple jobs, and helped my mama clean homes and have a daycare service to make ends meet. So she wants to make sure people know it's not because I'm married to Tyrese that I have what I have. She said I worked at some of the most difficult places in social work and maintained a 3.98 GPA while hustling on the side as a bartender.
Starting point is 00:23:39 I'll drop on a clues bomb for Samantha. I don't think people feel that way about her and Tyrese. If anything, they feel sorry for her because she's with Tyrese. Like, you got to listen to this all the time. Well, she ended it with, I know this is a long post, but ladies, you have to know at the end of your days, it's not about the person next to you who determines how successful you've been in this life.
Starting point is 00:24:00 Okay. All right, well, I'm Angela Yee, and that is your Rumor Report. All right. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and that is your Rumor Report. All right. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. We got a special guest in the building. You might know him from Wild N' Out.
Starting point is 00:24:13 He has a new show on MTV. Well, they're actually bringing the show back. He's on TRL. Yep. DC, yo. Uh-oh. Ah! Hey, congrats on getting the TRL gig, man.
Starting point is 00:24:23 Hey, man, I appreciate it, man. This seat hot, man. There's a lot of stuff going on in here. It's a hot seat. It's a hot seat. It's gig, man. I appreciate it, man. This seat hot, man. There's a lot of stuff going on in here. It's a hot seat. It's a hot seat. It's a hot seat for sure. I need a pillow. So you better be careful.
Starting point is 00:24:31 I'm scared. I'm scared. You're the host of TRL. I'm telling you. Oh, my bad. You always get me. You always get me chewing gum. I was in the office with one of the execs at MTV, and they was telling me they want to
Starting point is 00:24:41 bring TRL back, and they're going to get DC to host. And I said, that's dope. You knew? I've been knew. But I said, can DC read teleprompter, though? Yeah, I can read. I ain't saying you can read. Why would you assume that he can't read?
Starting point is 00:24:52 That's the same thing. Reading a teleprompter is reading. Why would he be able to read but can't read a teleprompter? But you know, it's like a test. You know, like the end of the movie, you always try to read the names. And you're like, you know what? Forget it.
Starting point is 00:25:03 You know, because it's moving too fast. But no, I make the words big enough. I'm like, hey, you need that little bit bigger. Because the reason was when DC first started on TV, like when I had you on Uncommon Sense, I can understand you because I'm from the South. But a lot of the execs was like, we don't understand what he's saying.
Starting point is 00:25:19 Yeah, I had to learn how to be articulate. You know? You have to take speech therapy classes? No, I just, when I read more, you know what I'm saying, you kind of like sound words out that you don't know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So it make you be articulate, you know? So I had to just learn how to just start talking because I'm so Southern.
Starting point is 00:25:36 I can tell when I come up here. Like, I don't say seven, I say seven. There you go. 11 o'clock. There you go. You know what I'm saying? 11 o'clock. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:25:44 I'm going to call the street. There you go. I'm going to put a K. I'm'clock. You know what I'm going to call the street. There you go. I'm going to put a cave. I'm going to put a cave. I'm going to put a street. Y'all about to start doing your patchwork together. We don't play. That's a lot of Ambulance.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Ambulance. That's a lot of Ambulance. Go to the strip club. Ambulance. Strip club. The Ambulance. Ambulance. The one that's going to save your ass when you need to go to the hospital.
Starting point is 00:26:01 The Ambulance. Ambulance. Yeah. The Ambulance. You know exactly what he's talking about. I don't know. Ambulance. So now
Starting point is 00:26:11 on screen I be like, the ambulance. That hurts. It hurts. Are they trying to make you tone it down? They ain't really trying to make me tone it down, man. We got a lot of cool co-hosts. You know what I'm saying? Lawrence. Lawrence a down, man. We got a lot of cool co-hosts, you know what I'm saying? Oh, man, Lawrence.
Starting point is 00:26:27 Yeah, Lawrence. Lawrence the fool, man. Shout out to everybody who's on TRL, man. So, you know, I bring my certain energy, you know, and everybody else bring their power skills to the table. So we're going to make this. We're going to turn it up. There's a lot of people that there's room for it, and there's a lot of people like, guess what, man? We made them bring it out today
Starting point is 00:26:44 for a reason, man. So what about the crossover, folks? You familiar with all the pop and rhythmic music and all that stuff, too? I'm learning. Okay. I'm learning. Every time we get something out, I'm like, who? Okay. I'm learning. I like this show. I get to learn a lot. That's all. I like it. Opening your eyes to new things in the world. There you go.
Starting point is 00:26:59 Yeah. Different genres. A lot of times... Now we can get married because I'm grown. Oh, and congratulations on the baby. See what I'm saying? Appreciate you. She brought you right back. She put me right back in. Oh, Lord. Congratulations on the baby.
Starting point is 00:27:11 How's your baby mama? They always. Everything good. You're wilding out, girl. How is she? Everything good. You know what I'm saying? It's a blessing, man.
Starting point is 00:27:17 You know my beautiful baby? She's crazy. How has fatherhood changed you? It made me like certain stuff I don't like to do no more. I don't really like going to the club like that. I don't really like hanging out past eight.
Starting point is 00:27:29 Past eight? Yeah, I got lame. Like, as soon as it get like 8, 15, I be like, all right, y'all, I'm finna go to the store. There you go.
Starting point is 00:27:34 Go home. There you go. Yeah, man, but you know, she keep me grounded. Her look crazy. I gotta be here to make sure she don't mess with a dude like me.
Starting point is 00:27:42 What was it like? Were you there when she was giving birth? Oh, man, let me tell y'all this story, right? So she was getting born, and my girl was shitting on herself. She was. That's normal. That's normal.
Starting point is 00:27:53 No, man. That's normal. It's normal. It is normal. But it coming out, though. It was more shitting than the baby. So I'm like, hey, you pushing the wrong hole, baby. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:02 You know what I'm saying? But when my baby came out, her head was deformed. No, she had Zika. No, she had no disease. But you know, the head was coming out so much. The head was the hardest part for it to come out. Coming out the vagina. Sometimes the head is like a little smush.
Starting point is 00:28:18 A little smush. So when she came out, I was like, oh, man, I done got a slow ass baby. All them people you done teased. I'm like, oh. All them people you done teased, you thought it came back around. I asked the doctor, I said, please, man, I done got a slow ass baby. All them people you done teased. I'm like, oh. All them people you done teased, you thought it came back around. I asked the doctor, I said, please, man, my baby got a cone head. Please, do you know who I am? I need this baby head to start growing.
Starting point is 00:28:33 Can we take her head off another baby head and put her, please? And she was like, no, that's normal. I'm like, baby. And they shape it. Two hours, it's still flat. They shape the head? Yeah, they do. They shape it.
Starting point is 00:28:42 Now, they kind of like. Yeah, they do. Yes, they do. They shape it. I was over there of like. Yeah, they do. Yes, they do. I was over there pushing her hair like, baby, you need to do this. But no, it came out. You know what I'm saying? Her hair came out crazy. So she got a good hair.
Starting point is 00:28:52 She's still bald head though, man. How old is she? She going on nine months? Well, look at you. You still got a nice hairline. It takes some time, some time. Yeah, but still. You're the only one out of the guys in the room with a hairline.
Starting point is 00:29:01 They old. Yeah, we old. You're right. You're right. We see 23-year-olds. But there's the guys your age whose hairlines be back here, too. Yeah, but I got red blood. You seen Safaree one?
Starting point is 00:29:10 Oh, man, I seen, man. Let me tell you, Safaree, you my homeboy. Cut your hair, man. Please, stop using the Beijing, man. Please. He took the eyeline pencil and drew his hairline. Man, he got the Beijing right here. I can see it. Did his hair. Just cut bald head, please. Just go bald. He got the Beijing right here. I can see it.
Starting point is 00:29:25 Just cut ball head, please. Just go ball. You keeping the family together? You and the mom together? Yeah, man. I brought them down to me. I had to make sure. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:29:33 I see my child every time I go home. You know, I don't play. Have you moved to New York yet? TRL's in New York, right? Yeah, I'm here. We here. I'm up here. Yeah, I'm a New Yorker.
Starting point is 00:29:42 You hate it? You don't like it? Man, I'm too southern for this, man. Yeah, you'll get used to it. I felt the same way when I moved here. What's different about being here in New Yorker. You hate it? You don't like it? Man, I'm too southern for this, man. Yeah, you'll get used to it. I felt the same way when I moved in. What's different about being here in New York that you notice is so different from being in the South? Y'all rude. That's a fact.
Starting point is 00:29:52 Definitely rude. And we're always in a rush. Y'all, I had to stop somebody the other day because he bumped me so hard. I followed him across the street and said, hey, I need that excuse me, big dog. I need that excuse me, boy. You're like the 30th person that hit me today. I need my excuse me. Did he say excuse me?
Starting point is 00:30:08 Yes, he did. In A-Rab. I'm like, all right, that's good enough. But I like the New York women, though. They're aggressive. The way they be chomping dudes up. I be like, who ain't? I like that.
Starting point is 00:30:21 You been getting some New York? I mean, you know. He's in a relationship, just had a baby. You want to say, f*** me so bad. Nah, man, you know, one thing about me, I take care of home, though.
Starting point is 00:30:39 You know what I'm saying? I'm a real one first. I'm a baby. You know what I'm saying? Family come first. Like, hey, hey, hey, baby, you can't respect that. You got to be quiet while I'm on FaceTime with my family. You got to get up out of here. You know what I'm saying? Family come first. Like, hey, hey, hey, baby, you can't respect that. You got to be quiet while I'm on FaceTime
Starting point is 00:30:47 with my family. You got to get up out of here. You know what I'm saying? But I mean, listen. They know you young. You having a good time? Our dudes got to see. Hey.
Starting point is 00:31:02 This guy's crazy. No, man. but they respect it. You know what I'm saying? They respect it. They respect it. All right, we got more with D.C. Young Fly when we come back. We got to talk Wildin' Out a little bit. Also, him getting stabbed and him going on tour.
Starting point is 00:31:15 So don't move. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. The Breakfast Club. Morning, everybody. It's D.J. Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. We have DC Young Fly in the building.
Starting point is 00:31:29 Yee. All right, now let's talk about Kevin Hart, because you're going to be on his platform. That's my dude. Yeah, so what is it that you have going on? I know you guys are partnered up. We got the, I'm on a couple of things with Kevin Hart. You know, he got the platform,
Starting point is 00:31:41 but my boy King Batch had on wrote the list, some skits on there, and they made them like a series, like a little webisode. It's like some Walking Dead, but like they asked to be human. You know what I'm saying? So I'm doing a couple of episodes on that. So you're looking out for that. I don't even know where it's going to be out in.
Starting point is 00:31:59 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is it a TV show? They keep saying like it's LOL. It's coming. I'm like, where's it coming? It's a streaming service that he has. But what is it? Is it like Netflix?
Starting point is 00:32:07 All they told me was, come do this and come get my check. And that's what I did. I ain't know where we're going to be at. They could have emailed me or whatever. You know what I'm saying? So I ain't know what's going on. But wherever it's at, go get it. How do you like Wild N' Out?
Starting point is 00:32:20 Man, Wild N' Out crazy. That's like home. You know who I would love to see go back and forth? You and Jesse. Oh, me and Jesse. Man, me and Jesse. You and Jesse Hilarious. Me and Jesse Hilarious. That's like my cousin with her little ugly, big nose ass. But no, that's
Starting point is 00:32:36 that. I know, turn out your microphone. But no, man, that's the roll, dog, man. I'm just proud that she was on the show, man. Just seeing, like, all, like, the social media people coming together and just turning up because I had to tell her, I said, look, these social media people, I don't know, they just call us that.
Starting point is 00:32:54 So when we get on these platforms, we got to show up. You know what I'm saying? Because they always be like, they can't do this on the stage. They can't do this in real life. They're just on the phone. I'm like, all right, that cool. That cool. But when you get the opportunity, shut them up.
Starting point is 00:33:10 And when you shut them up, they're going to be like, man, I always knew you could do that. No, you didn't. You got to make them believe it. I saw them break into all your cars this week. Yeah, man. I had to hit you up, man. Broke into my car.
Starting point is 00:33:20 Yeah, he hit me up. He said, man, look, don't be in the hood. I said, look, I don't stay in the hood. My cars were just in the hood. They were just in the hood. Yeah, they broke me up. He said, man, look, don't be in the hood. I said, look, I don't stay in the hood. My cars were just in the hood. They were just in the hood. Yeah, they broke them all three, but all three. All three. And they know them, my car.
Starting point is 00:33:32 But the only thing is, they stole some Timbs and a radio. Ha ha, I used to steal in car. I used to break in car. Like, you think I'm going to leave something in my car? You fool. Ha ha, you didn't get nothing. Ha ha. Why do you get nothing. Ha ha. Why do you think they did that? Just hate?
Starting point is 00:33:47 They thought it was going to be something else. You know what I'm saying? You never know when you break. You never know. People don't have a bank account. Yeah, you're right. It'd be a whole trunk full of clothes. I'm taking all that.
Starting point is 00:34:01 What's the best look you ever got when you broke in a car back in the day? Oof. I like some pist that. What's the best lick you ever got when you broke in a car back in the day? Ooh, I like some pistols. Man, it was like my robber. I used to rob, but I used to be like prepared and stuff. I said, man, I can be hot, man. I'm a hustler, man. Give me the weed, man. That's what I do.
Starting point is 00:34:18 I mean, I robbed a nigga for $20. For $20? At gunpoint? Man, I thought he had more than that. I'm kidding, man. He had in his sock, too. I said, ooh, jackpot. $20.
Starting point is 00:34:31 $20? You had $20? Who did you have the $20 from? Why you rob him, though? What, you thought he had money? Man, he looked like he had money. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He was a little juror and stuff like all that.
Starting point is 00:34:43 I was like, okay. I was like, but when I say he only had $20, man, I said, man, please go, man. Did he get back? Did he get back at $20? Did I get him back at $20? No. I still had it like this. I was like, go on, man.
Starting point is 00:34:53 Go on. What about anybody you ever ride now see you and be like, oh, that's DC Young Fly? You got a tattoo right here. You got to be masked up, man. What's wrong with y'all? My city's small. If you rob somebody bad faith, you got to do something extra. Oh, you masked up. Yeah, you got to be masked up. You got to be masked up, man. What's wrong with y'all? My city's small. If you rob somebody bad-faced, you got to do something extra. Oh, you masked up.
Starting point is 00:35:07 Yeah, you got to be masked up. You do a bad face, you got to kill them is what you say. Yeah, you know. Yeah. How long did your life of crime last? Whew. Until I got stabbed up. You got stabbed?
Starting point is 00:35:17 Yeah, I got into a street brawl in 2013. Got stabbed up full time right here. Got stabbed up right here. Got stabbed twice right here. Got stabbed in the back. Got stabbed in the back. Got hit in the head with a pole. By one person? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:28 Dang. It was like a brawl. You know what I'm saying? Like a little street brawl. So I don't know who was stabbing me. I was just fighting. Before you know it, I was like, ooh, but he swings getting a little slow right there.
Starting point is 00:35:38 Y'all lose a lot of blood. God damn. I'm getting beat up, y'all. This ain't going how we play. This ain't going how we planned. This ain't going how we planned. But yeah, man, that kind of like changed my life in the whole 2013 situation. So, you know, so. That's when you started doing comedy or?
Starting point is 00:35:55 Now, you went on tour. Now, how was that, going on tour? Because everybody expected you, your first one, that you went on. You went on with Chris Brown, too, which you did your own. No, not the one with Chris Brown. Before that, where you went on your own tour. Oh, you're talking about with the comedy?
Starting point is 00:36:06 Yeah, and people expected you to fail because they were like, they don't know how it was going to be. How was that tour? It was good, man. It was fun because like now, we don't reach August.
Starting point is 00:36:14 I've been doing stand-up since 2014, so I've been doing it for three years. Were you nervous your first stand-up tour? Yeah, not really nervous. It's just everybody, even the OGs in the game,
Starting point is 00:36:26 it's just butterflies before you go on stage because everybody just want to perform well because we all know what our peak is when we get on stage and when we feeling it, we can feel it. It's just like everything we say be funny because it's just on stage we feeling the moment, the crowd loving us, everything that's coming out our mouth just be on point.
Starting point is 00:36:44 So you know what I'm saying? Best case scenario. Yeah, the crowd loving us. We everything that's coming out. I'm off this be on point So, you know, I'm saying that scenario. Yeah the best case scenario Why? Okay, I'm happy would not listen straight up that's the worst people are just talking and oh, yeah matter of fact I'll never forget. I had a city was it if I had a my own city, but this this another one I had a show in I I didn't really bomb. I just had a show with Keisha Cole. What's up, Keisha? So I get on stage.
Starting point is 00:37:12 I'm doing my thing. I'm talking about it was a gangster front row. He like, shut up. Nobody want to hear that. Whoa. I said, who the hell you talking to? But do you know why I would roast your one tooth having that? And he was like, I want to see Keisha.
Starting point is 00:37:27 I said, you want to see Keisha out of all people? He's like, yeah, man, I want to hear all that funny ass shit. I came to see Keisha. I said, when she come out, you better sing every word, man. I be damned. When he came out, he was in the front row. Love. Love.
Starting point is 00:37:50 I was like, man, never again will I perform with another artist. I was like, oh, it got to be straight comedy. All right, we're still kicking it with DC Young Fly, so don't move. Here's Kanye West with All Falls Down. Morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. Now we have DC Young Fly in the building. Now how was going on
Starting point is 00:38:06 with Chris Brown? I've seen you on a couple of dates. Hey man, that boy a GOAT. That boy, that boy, talent wise he's a GOAT. He can dance and sing and then even with his background. I'm a fan. I had the first CD when he had on a yellow shirt when he was in the Wonder.
Starting point is 00:38:21 Like this. So I've been a fan. And when I actually seen like, seen him perform, I was like, man, every show was, like, new. If Chris hadn't put them speed knots on Rihanna's forehead, he'd be on Beyonce. Man, y'all can't say that, man. That's what it was. You don't know what happened in the car.
Starting point is 00:38:39 We saw the pictures. We saw the documentary. He talks about it in his documentary. He'd have been on Beyonce. I ain't see that. Yeah. Yeah, a lot of people documentary. He'd have been on Beyonce. I ain't see that. Yeah. Yeah, a lot of people say, but get what, though? You can't judge a man until you actually seen him, like, in action, like, what he was put here on earth to do.
Starting point is 00:38:53 You ever ask him to teach you how to dance and do things? No, I know how to dance myself. You know how to dance? Man, I ain't going to tell you I got a surprise. Uh-oh. What do you mean you got a surprise? I just got a surprise. I'm an entertainer.
Starting point is 00:39:04 Show us a little move right now. No, man. I got a surprise. Uh-oh. What do you mean you got a surprise? I got a surprise. I'm an entertainer. Show us a little move right now. No, man. I got a surprise for the world. You ain't going to be seeing me dancing on BET. None of that. Ain't no none of that. You ain't going to be shucking the job. I ain't going to be shucking the job.
Starting point is 00:39:14 I just entertain the people, man. So I got something coming up for y'all. That'd be hype if you introduced Chris Brown and then you was one of his background dancers. I'm telling you what this is. When that man dance all day, man. The boy dance all day. On and off stage. Even after the show, he just dance.
Starting point is 00:39:32 I'm like, well, you the GOAT. What do you think about R. Kelly's sex cult? I don't know what's going on in the house, but, you know, I don't, you know. You know how that go. Hey, man, don't. How does that go? Look, I'm going to pay you to come stay you know. You know how that go. Hey, man, don't. How does that go? Look, I'm going to pay you to come stay with me. Stop what you're doing.
Starting point is 00:39:50 Like, when you got money, you know, the conversation be different. You ain't got to beg no more. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, it's like, hey, man, you know how you be like, let's go out to eat. Let's go catch a movie. No, man, huh. Take these 20, come stay with me for a month. But, you know, you got such a history of a sexual predator.
Starting point is 00:40:03 That's why. It ain't really a sex... People forgot that he was on Showtime with Apollo with a sign that say 18 and up. Lying his ass off. Saying, he was like, if your daughter is like this... He was out there with a public announcement.
Starting point is 00:40:18 I remember that. All in front of the stage. All on Apollo, and they were lit, and they were just screaming, ah, to me, Archana. So... You ever seen a sex tape? Y'all ready? I ain't never seen it, man. The young girl was underage, ah, to me, Archana. So. You ever seen a sex scene? Y'all ready? I ain't never seen it, man. The young girl was underage. So you can't look at it.
Starting point is 00:40:29 How old was she? 13. But didn't they say she lied and said she was 18? We don't know what happened. And we don't even know. I don't know. But that's what they wore. They said that she lied.
Starting point is 00:40:40 Have you ever seen? Like, now I'm getting older. You got to think about it. Next year. Can you believe? Babies that were born getting older. You got to think about it. Next year, can you believe? Babies that were born in 2000 going to be grown? Legally. So you can't even say, man, I just hit a little girl.
Starting point is 00:40:53 Yes, you're born. Think of 2000. That sounds crazy. So the older I get. So imagine you at 23 and R. Kelly at 50. He shouldn't be nowhere near a girl that age. Ooh, that's 23? No, that's 17. Oh, 50, he shouldn't be nowhere near a girl that age. Ooh, that's 23? No, that's 17.
Starting point is 00:41:08 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, but 18 is over with. It's over with. If she could go buy you a Swoosh out the store, hey. But you don't feel weird about it now, you know, having a daughter and everything. No, man, you can't stop that. You can't stop that.
Starting point is 00:41:19 If you see a 50-year-old man around your 18-year-old daughter. Man, I'm going to be like, hey, baby, when he go to sleep, go check everything. Wallets, all that. Call your daddy. I come take off the wall, all that. I'm with it. No, you're not.
Starting point is 00:41:32 Man, all right. You stay here now. You're going to shoot at him. All right. No, I'm going to put a hand on him. But she's going to know how to fight anyway, so I ain't starting that. Boozy's brother stole 300 grand from his bank account. Allegedly.
Starting point is 00:41:44 Allegedly. Allegedly. Weedly. Allegedly. We had a debate this week. Would you press charges on him? I don't do that. I don't play police games. That one actually called police. You're damn right I'm calling the police.
Starting point is 00:41:54 Listen to me. 300,000. Listen to me. Listen to me. Listen to me. Sometimes it's not about police games. You got to jump over the police and go straight to the law. Now, we can go to court.
Starting point is 00:42:07 I'll sue you to get my money back. I ain't going to call the police and get you locked up or none of that. No, no, no, no. We don't do that. But I'll sue you. But you got to press charges to get your money back. It ain't really no press charges. It's a sue.
Starting point is 00:42:18 No, you can't do that. You have to press charges against the person to get your money back. Well, I will press charges, but I don't want them locked up. You can't make that decision. You can't press charges. I want to press charges. All right, but look, we got alternate suggestions. Okay, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:42:36 Where's my money? Or, you know. You've been around me all my life you that's the thing I hate when people who really know somebody and you still try you know what I'm saying like you still try them on a low ball of disrespect like
Starting point is 00:43:00 I can understand if he ain't know me like he don't know me he don't know what I'm capable of. But, like, you know me. That's your brother. Why would you do this? But I hate it when it be, like, family situation. They be like, bro, this. And then it be people that you really look out for. Like, you will put your last on.
Starting point is 00:43:16 Like, that's why I be so hard on my own. Like, I be, like, no. If you not bettering yourself, I'm not giving you nothing. That's just straight up. I'm not giving you no money, no dope, no none of that. No. You businessmen. If you a businessman, I'm not giving you nothing. That's just straight up. I'm not giving you no money, no dope, no none of that. No. You're a businessman. If you're a businessman, I'm rocking with you. If you're still on that other...
Starting point is 00:43:29 Leave right there. We would love to hear a monologue before you go. That was a little boy. He was 14. He's seen a lot of stuff in his life. He always wanted to be prosperous. He always wanted to be prosperous. He always wanted to be successful.
Starting point is 00:43:51 But it was just one thing that was stopping him. What was it? He didn't know. He always wanted to know. He looked around. He watched others be happy. He never once hated. He never once got discouraged. He never once hated. He never once got discouraged.
Starting point is 00:44:08 He stayed to himself. And then he turned the f*** up! Who is that guy? D.C. Young. There you go, D.C. Young. D.C. Young, mother f***er. Hey, my brother was gonna cry for a minute. He was like, you know what? That's it.
Starting point is 00:44:24 You could hear a pin drop. Listen, we're proud of you, man. I appreciate it, man. We watched you come up from the ground. You in movies. You on hosting TRL. We finna keep going, man. I told you that you and Cardi B like the success story. I love Cardi B, man.
Starting point is 00:44:39 I love Cardi B, man. I watch her, man. You sure she ain't. That's for you, Cardi B. You sure she ain't. Every time I see her do her thing, hey, man, I'm proud of her, man. For real. Black people, we need to love each other, man. Every time somebody doing something, congratulate them, man. Stop hating. We got so much hate going on.
Starting point is 00:44:56 Peep the good and just keep moving. Cardi B got a hit record before you, though. Man, Cardi B got a hit. She got a hit. This is the Breakfast Club. It's DC Youngblood. Yeah, I made it like my fourth interview up here, man. I feel very special.
Starting point is 00:45:10 There you go. There you go. Very special. Good morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are the Breakfast Club. Let's get to the rumors. Let's talk Floyd Mayweather.
Starting point is 00:45:20 Listen up. It's just in. All the gossip. Gossip. The Rumor Report. Gossip. Gossip. With Angela of money off this flight against Conor McGregor? That's Floyd Mayweather. He was on Showtime's All Access Mayweather versus McGregor. And he talked about how much he's getting paid basically per minute for this fight. Are we not talking about no contract?
Starting point is 00:45:46 And I don't knock nobody. We're not talking about no contract for no four years or no contract for no five years. I can do it in 36 minutes. 300 or better in 36 minutes. He's going to make $300 million or more in just 36 minutes. Well, congratulations to Floyd Mayweather. Drop one of the clues off to him. That is incredible.
Starting point is 00:46:03 It is. Now, Conor McGregor's expected to make about $100 million for the fight. That ain't too shabby. That'll be the largest payday an MMA fighter has ever made. So he's not mad at all. He'll do whatever he's got to do to make that happen. He's going to get his ass knocked out. That's what's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:46:20 He's going to get beat bad, by the way. I don't know if y'all realize that. I know Conor McGregor got a big mouth and he can sell a good fight, but he's going to get beat bad. I'm way. I don't know if y'all realize that. I know Conor McGregor got a big mouth, and he can sell a good fight, but he's going to get beat bad. I'm letting you know that right now. He is. Well, they said he's been getting knocked out while he's sparring. I don't know how true that is.
Starting point is 00:46:32 I heard like three times already. I don't know if that's just a rumor. It's a sweet science to boxing that I'm not sure Conor McGregor understands, but he's in for a long night. All right, now this is personal here because, you know, I love the show Curb Your Enthusiasm, and I love the character of Leon Black. It turns out that J.B. Smoove is going to be writing a book
Starting point is 00:46:51 as that character. It's called The Book of Leon. Smart. Yeah, so I'm excited by that. He said Larry David actually inspired him to do that. He said that since Black always has so much to say, maybe he should just put it all down in words. So that book is scheduled for October 24th,
Starting point is 00:47:07 which is around the same time that Curb Your Enthusiasm season starts again on HBO. I'm excited. Okay. All right, and Lil Scrappy. There's been some video now that's surfacing that's being posted on all the sites, and it's Lil Scrappy and Bobby Valentino. They're having a party. But allegedly people are trying to say that this
Starting point is 00:47:27 Lil House party is filled with trans women. Well, Lil Scrappy has gone to dispute that. And here's what he had to say. I don't know cuz situation, what he like, what he don't like. I ain't never did all that cuz I just did music with homie. I've been in a room with some bitches, and I know when bitches are bitches, I know the difference because, like,
Starting point is 00:47:48 I ain't no sucker at all. Like, I don't do that. Them real bitches, they might have just been ugly bitches. I came out the pussy. I'm going back in the pussy. You know how sometimes you try to explain something and you just kind of, like, make it worse when you explain it?
Starting point is 00:48:04 Way worse. You know what I'm saying? Instead of just letting people come to their own conclusions about whatever the video was and creating their own narratives, you just step out and say things that just make it like really, really worse. You're saying that's what Lil Scrappy did?
Starting point is 00:48:18 That's exactly what Lil Scrappy did. Lil Scrappy, you don't want no problems, but you just created a whole bunch of them for yourself. And Lil Scrappy said, you know, people could choose to do whatever they want to do in their life. He has no judgment against them. But in this particular instance, he's saying that's not what was going down. Poor Bobby. Ain't none of Bobby's friends going to want to play with Bobby no more.
Starting point is 00:48:36 Bobby's going to ask people to come to the studio. They're going to be like, nah, I'm busy. Come by the crib like we used to. Nah, nah, I'm cool. I'm cool, Bobby. Or maybe it will encourage people to be more open about what it is that they do. True. You never know.
Starting point is 00:48:47 Mm-hmm. Bobby Valentino could be a trailblazer. No. His days of being a trailblazer are long gone. Thanks. Okay. All right, well, I'm Angela Yee, and that is your Rumor Report. All right, thank you, Miss Yee.
Starting point is 00:48:58 Charlemagne! Yes. Who you giving your donkey to? You know, for After the Hour, we need to discuss something very serious. You know, it is sexual predators amongst us. And, you know, you never know what member of your family they will be touching. Okay. For After the Hour.
Starting point is 00:49:15 All right. We'll talk about it. We'll get into all that when we come back. Pretty serious, guys. Keep it locked. It's time for Donkey of the Day. Donkeys of the day, I'm a Democrat, so being Donkey of the Day is a little bit of a mixed question.
Starting point is 00:49:31 So like a donkey, he on, Donkey of the Day. The Breakfast Club, bitches. Now I've been called a lot in my 23 years, but Donkey of the Day is a new one. Serious face, guys. Donkey of the Day for Thursday, August 3rd, goes to Everett Lee Compton Jr. Now, Everett is 49 years old, and he lives in Arkansas. Everett is a sexual deviant, ladies and gentlemen.
Starting point is 00:49:55 In fact, he's in jail right now for sexual assault. There's a family called the Whitakers, and they told police that this man, Everett Lee Compton Jr., has been harassing members of their family for the past three years. See, the Whitakers had suspicions that Everett Lee Compton Jr. was a sexual predator, and they were right. This is so disturbing. Very, very, very disturbing. Everybody pay close attention to this because we have to protect all members of our family at all costs. You never know what members of your family sexual predators are preying on.
Starting point is 00:50:26 Let's go to 4029 News for the report, please. Joyce Whitaker says she called 911 at 1.30 a.m. on July 16th after seeing a man having sex with one of her donkeys. When officers came to the home, they found this man, 49-year-old Everett Compton, hiding in the bushes at the back of the property. According to an arrest report, he told police that he was only feeding the donkeys carrots. Later, police said that Compton admitted to having sex with one of the donkeys. In this surveillance video given to 4029 News from the family,
Starting point is 00:50:56 you can see Compton approach the donkey and put a shirt over its eyes before the act. Police say when they confronted Compton, he told officers that he smoked marijuana and it made him do, quote, sick things. What kind of marijuana was that? I don't want it. Whatever grade of weed Everett Lee Compton Jr. was smoking, we need to find out now so we can encourage the community to stay far, far away from it. Everett Lee Compton Jr. was sitting somewhere blowing down on some high-grade marijuana and his penis got hard and he said to himself, I'm going to get some ass from an ass, okay? Everett Lee Compton Jr. is a mule molester. He was given the donkey carriage to weigh pedophiles
Starting point is 00:51:37 in white vans off of kids' candy. You know why this makes me sad? Because bestiality isn't really talked about in our country. It's not really talked about in our country, and that's because animals can't talk. If animals could talk, we would probably learn things about humans that we don't want to know. Everett Lee Compton Jr. is sick, ladies and gentlemen. I have so many questions. Did he donkey punch the donkey? Did he sit around fantasizing about donkeys? Has he ever jacked off to a jackass? I am so ready for God
Starting point is 00:52:05 to just pressure wash this wicked system, this wicked system of things that we live in, okay? America been jumped to shock. America been an iPhone that fell in the toilet, all right? Put this whole country in rice, bro, because it's over. I am ready for extraterrestrials just to come and finish us off, okay?
Starting point is 00:52:22 Now, as you heard, the Whitakers were smart enough to set up a video camera. There is a surveillance video, and we have actual audio from the surveillance video from Everett and the unnamed mule. He was molesting.
Starting point is 00:52:37 You ready? Are you ready? Let's hear it. Okay. That's disgusting. Stop. What the was that? Whoa.
Starting point is 00:52:52 That was fast. Everett has been charged with four counts of bestiality, four counts of criminal trespassing, and four counts of misdemeanor cruelty to animals. Misdemeanor? That sounded like a felony. Play it again. That was a felony.
Starting point is 00:53:08 All right. All right. Okay. All right. That sounds like a felony to me. Please give Everett Compton Jr. the biggest hee-haw. Sick, sick world we live in, man. Disgusting.
Starting point is 00:53:27 Never would I ever have imagined I would have to give donkey of the day to a man who actually had sex with a real live donkey. What is this world coming to? All right. Thank you very much. Thank you for that donkey.
Starting point is 00:53:42 Donkey of the day. Yeah, all right. Well, all right. Well, let's shift gears. All right. Well, all right. Well, let's shift gears. All right. Up next, Ask Yee. 800-585-1051. If you need some relationship advice or any type of advice, call Yee right now. She'll help you out. Again, 800-585-1051. Call her now. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. We're in the middle of Ask a Yee and we have Crystal on the line.
Starting point is 00:54:07 Good morning, Crystal. Good morning. What's your question for Yee? So, pretty much next year in May, by the time in May, I'm going to be 20 years old. It's going to be my first, like, trip going away out of the country with my parents. And my best friend at first, one of them, she was saying that
Starting point is 00:54:23 she may be a little bit scared because she don't want to really go out to the country and have like males around as protection. So she thought about inviting one of our old high school friends that they still somewhat talk to. And he also thought about inviting my boyfriend as well because before me and him started dating, all of us were really good friends in high school. And we didn't start dating until like towards the end of high school. And she said that we should bring him. So at first I said it was okay, but now I'm kind of thinking about it. I don't really know if I want to bring him or not because I want to be able to go on a girl shift, my first girl shift with my girls and not him around, if you kind of get
Starting point is 00:55:01 what I'm saying. Right. So you want to just have some fun without your man around, basically. Yeah. And you already invited him, or they want you to invite him? They invited him. I didn't invite him. That's going to be a hard thing to uninvite him now from a trip that everybody wants him to go on.
Starting point is 00:55:18 And what is it that you think you can't do just because your man is around when you're with your girls? No, it's not that I, it's not something that I don't, like that I can't do just because you're a man is around when you're with your girls? No, it's not that I it's not something that I don't like that I can't do. I just want to see what it's like to, I've never been on a trip by myself and I wanted to first go with my girls first. You can always go on an all girls trip
Starting point is 00:55:38 later. I know, but. I mean, it seems like everybody wants him to come, right? And he wants to go and it's kind of a safety thing too? Yeah, but one of my best friends, she said she don't care. We don't need the guys around. Only one of them said that she wanted guys around. Right. Well, listen, you can do a girls trip
Starting point is 00:55:53 anytime. This is your first trip. Now, why don't you have a conversation with your boyfriend? How does he feel? Well, I did like a trip question. I just threw it out there and said that one of my best friends said that she didn't want him to come anymore because it's supposed to be an all-girls trip and he said,
Starting point is 00:56:10 okay, but I was just, you know, just joking just to see what he was going to say to see where his head was at. Right. Well, it's really up to you. I'll tell you this, though. I've been on plenty of girls trips and I love girls trips, but you know what's great when you're on a girls trip? When you go to bed at night and your boyfriend's there
Starting point is 00:56:25 after you've been out with your girls all day. Because if he does go, he can find some things to do. He don't got to be with y'all everywhere you go. Are you not into this relationship like that? I am. I thought about it that it would be nice to have him there when I go to bed. Listen, just tell him some things we're going to do
Starting point is 00:56:42 is going to be just the girls and then me and you can do some things together. I'm not going to lie. Maybe it's because I've been on so many girl trips, it's not a big deal to me, but I like when my boyfriend's there and my friends are there. Okay. It's kind of like the best of both worlds. If he's a cool guy, it's actually kind of fun. Okay.
Starting point is 00:56:56 All right. Good luck. All right. Ask Yee. 800-585-1051. If you've got a question for Yee, call her right now. She'll help you out. It's The Breakfast Club.
Starting point is 00:57:04 Good morning. Good morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy, for Yee, call her right now. She'll help you out. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. Good morning, everybody. It's DJ Envy Angela Yee. Charlamagne Tha God. We are The Breakfast Club. Now, we're in the middle of Ask Yee. 805-85 105. What line are we going to, Yee? Let's go to caller number six, Africa.
Starting point is 00:57:17 Hello? Hello. Good morning. Hey, what's your name? My name is Africa. Hey, Africa. What's your question for Yee? Hi, guys. The question is, I'm hoping everyone can help me. So it has to do with colorism and interracial relationships. So I have two kids. I have a daughter that's 25 and a son that's 19. My daughter, both of us, we are dark-skinned.
Starting point is 00:57:36 And during her early years, in her early 20s, and, you know, she's 25 right now, she used to tell me that, you know, black guys have been approaching. She felt that, you know, they weren't attracted to her. And I encouraged her to think maybe she'll find someone. And what I see now is that she's dating Caucasian men. And my son himself is dating people like, you know, Spanish girls and Caucasian girls. So I don't have a problem because I want them to be happy. But my issue is, I think it's related more to the fact that they are not,
Starting point is 00:58:05 she doesn't feel that they're attractive. And I'll be honest with you, it bothers me that they're interracially dating, you know, so I'm struggling with that. Well, you said you want them to be happy, right? I do, but I guess my concern is that, you know, eventually all trace of black is going to disappear by the time, you know, the second generation comes in. You cannot get rid of these traces of black that we
Starting point is 00:58:26 have. Listen, as a person who my dad is Chinese and my mom is black, right? And I personally am very happy to have grown up with different types of culture and I also feel like it's made me a lot more accepting of all
Starting point is 00:58:42 different kinds of things. I know people have issues with interracial dating, and, you know, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for that. So I don't think that it's a bad thing. And I have a lot of friends, like my best friend is married to a guy who's white, and her sister's married to a white guy also. Sometimes it's the people that you're around, the people that you're attracted to.
Starting point is 00:59:01 It is what it is. I don't think that you should be upset about the color or what race that your children attracted to. It is what it is. I don't think that you should be upset about the color or what race that your children are dating. I mean, it's not so angular. The reality is not because that they're dating. But the reason is that I feel like it's a result of not, you know, feeling that they're not attractive. You know, I don't want them to grow.
Starting point is 00:59:19 And I know maybe this is a little bit too deep, but to go into that self-hate where they feel like, you know, maybe I'm dark-skinned, you know, the other guys are not attracted to me. And that's being the standard of beauty for them. And that kind of bothers me. You know, what is the reason that they're dating? Not so much that they're falling in love, but the reason under it. But is it because that's the people that they're around every day, too?
Starting point is 00:59:40 Because environment plays a large part of who we have access to and who we're around if you go to a school or you work in a place where you're the only black person and you start dating somebody and you're only around those people that's kind of what happens it's also circumstances are they around a lot of black people well they are you know there's a mix there's a mixed amount of people that we are we are surrounded mostly around Caucasians. But the people I feel like, and I guess I'm maybe, you know, I'm thinking this too deep. I feel like because the black guys, I feel have rejected her and she herself have rejected black men, you know? Listen, is she happy? Yeah, I guess she's happy.
Starting point is 01:00:18 Is your son happy? He's happy, but he also doesn't approach black girls because he feels that they're too demanding. So it's the cause, the root cause that I'm worried about. But I understand what you're saying, Angela. Right. I think you might be reading a lot into it. That's all I'm saying. If your children seem like they're happy, I'd rather they be happy with whoever they're with,
Starting point is 01:00:37 even if it's a different race than unhappy just because they're trying to please their mom. But I haven't told them not to date, you know. I just have to watch them and see what's happening and kind of like studying the situation. You know, as a mom, I think it would be important for you also to just have these conversations with your children. I have. They've told me they've been very open, you know.
Starting point is 01:00:56 Right. They're not against dating another black person. It's just not happening right now. Okay. All right. Yeah, listen, if your kids are happy and they're in positive relationships, then you should be grateful for that.
Starting point is 01:01:11 All right. Thank you, guys. Thank you. All right, well, ask Yee. 800-585-1051. If you need relationship advice, you can call her. Now, Yee, we got rumors coming up. Yes, who do you think has the longest charting rap album
Starting point is 01:01:22 of all time? I'll tell you who this artist is. Okay. We'll get into that when we come back. Rumors on the way. It's The Breakfast Club. Good morning. This is The Rumor Report with Angela Yee.
Starting point is 01:01:32 Rumor has it. On The Breakfast Club. So listen up. Well, with 350 weeks on the charts, Eminem's curtain call, The Hits, has been on the Billboard Top 200 charts. Why you ain't let us guess? I guess. Because y'all knew already. I didn't know.
Starting point is 01:01:51 Oh, you didn't know? I thought you knew. I was going to say Somebody White, though. I definitely was going to say that. I was going to say Somebody White. For a rap album? Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:57 That was going to be my answer. I was thinking either Vanilla Ice. You were not thinking Vanilla Ice. You never know. Our whole album. Hey, man. A rap album charting the longest. You always hear Ice Ice Baby in the most. You never know. Our whole album. Hey, man. A rap album charting the longest. Ice Ice Baby.
Starting point is 01:02:06 You always hear Ice Ice Baby in the most random places. But 350 weeks, but not the whole album. It's an album. Oh, it's an album. Yeah. Yeah, still somebody white. I was right. All right, so congratulations to him.
Starting point is 01:02:15 And by the way, Eminem's manager, Paul Rosenberg, who's been his manager since the beginning, is now taking a top executive position at Def Jam Records. So congratulations to Paul. Where's bottles going? That is my Paul. Where's Bartles going? That is my guy. Where's Steve Bartles going? I'm not sure. Oh, shout out to Bartles too.
Starting point is 01:02:30 So Paul Rosenberg took Bartles' job? He's going to be CEO of Def Jam. That's going to start in January of 2018. Steve Bartles is there in the interim. He'll be there until January. Are you going to fire a bunch of people like Def Jam? I don't know. I couldn't tell you what he's going to do.
Starting point is 01:02:46 Don't you start. Shout out to my girl, Natina. That's right. Protect Natina at all costs. Shout out to Natina. That's all I'm trying to say. Just make sure Natina stays in position, Rosenberg. There's a lot of people over there that are pretty good.
Starting point is 01:02:57 I just know Natina. But anyway, congratulations to Paul Rosenberg. I think he's going to be great over there at Def Jam. Especially when Natina's still there. Yes. All right. Now let's get into be great over there at Def Jam. Especially when Natina's still there. Yes. All right. Now let's get into Kanye. He's on Def Jam, right?
Starting point is 01:03:10 Yes. Now he has done his first jewelry collection, and it sold out on his Yeezy supply site, but now they have those pieces available at a popular French retailer named Colette. Now he did this collaboration with Jacob the Jeweler, and it's made up of entirely 18-karat gold. It's capsule features for both men and women, and it's supposed to symbolize timeless love.
Starting point is 01:03:30 Has anybody seen this Yeezy jewelry collection? If you have Revolt, you can see some of the pieces. Why would I buy jewelry from Kanye? He don't even wear jewelry like that. It's a collabo, so it's a limited edition. Probably maybe hopefully be worth more if you like the way it looks. I didn't like it too much, nah. It's his first collection,
Starting point is 01:03:46 so who knows? I'm not a jewelry guy, so I don't know nothing about that. You got you a rollie and a chain. No, I don't. It's fake chain. Chain is gold-plated. Okay. Rolex ticks. It does not tick shut on that. Yes, it does. Liar. Yes, it does. I got it from Canal Street. No, you didn't. Alright, Suge Knight,
Starting point is 01:04:01 he has been indicted on felony criminal threats now, according to this paperwork. And that is for actually giving a death threat against Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray. So it says that Suge threatened to commit a crime which would result in death and great bodily injury to Felix Gary Gray. So that was because, if you remember, he was very unhappy with his portrayal in the Straight Outta Compton movie. He made a threat from behind bars? He did that recently?
Starting point is 01:04:30 I think that this is something that happened in the past, and now the indictment is actually dated February 7th, and they're just now arraigning him for it. Somebody is committed to Suge Knight dying in jail. It seems. Yeah, somebody is committed to Suge Knight not ever being released from jail. All right, now, you know we all love SZA's song, The Weeknd,
Starting point is 01:04:46 and we all love Miguel, two things that we all love, and put them together, and here is Miguel. He posted this. He said, F with me, last week's most requested song of SZA's new album, Control Weekend, foxy-ass song, definitely a favorite of mine on the album. What Isley Brothers song should I cover next week? And so he's been just taking requests. Here's Miguel singing The Weeknd.

Well, I don't think that in this song she knew she was the weekend chick. He was basically lying to everybody. So that was the point. She didn't know. Let's call them Saturdays and Sundays from now on.
Starting point is 01:05:55 All right. And congratulations to Sonequa Martin-Green. If you don't know who she is, she is Star Trek's first black female lead. So congratulations to her. She actually starred in The Walking Dead, and now she is the lead star in Star Trek Discovery Series. So she said,
